a lovely floral, a little bit leaning "sephora perfume section" in what it wafts off, but when i get my nose up close, its nuances shine and i think, ohh this is goood. the up-close, right on my skin scent reminds me of carnal flower- but what I get from the sillage just as I'm walking around is a lot more generic- a little shampoo-y/soapy, a little one-dimensional- above-average but only just. It has that white flower dna, but it feels buried under something that smells just a hair cheap/loud/young

alyssarware

Smells just like straight up indolic white flower, was hoping for it to be smoother and to get more of the bergamot

glaieul

"nostalgic and powdery [...] like the voice of Ella Fitzgerald," - at least that's what the producer assures. If someone feels nostalgic at the mention of a lemon toilet block, they should be delighted. I thought I would get another masterful haiku, but it was Coelho's work, which had little to do with it. there is nothing here like the creamy-sweet magnolias that are part of the Japanese landscape, a symbol of innocence that has accompanied brides to this day. zero complexity of vetiver: flat, boring, without finesse and flair. no wonder even the crickets flew away.

reginasiena

Oh I do really love the feminine magnolia. Calming and pleasant to me although yes I agree smell like fabric softener. But after one hour It become like fishy-piss-y smell or rubber? For that price tag it's no :( although the longevity is good

ina.rem

Very strong white floral scent. I could not notice magnolia, till I look at the pyramid. It feels a bit old-fashioned or retro.

Lmcollier

I can not appreciate this scent. It was an immediate scrubber for me. I do not love white floral, but this was just screeching. If Tide made a prettier smelling detergent, it would smell like this. The only perfume that I had his reaction to was Calvin Klein Woman. Same Tide laundry vibe with perfume. So try a sample of that if you love this one. Though I think the CK one is discontinued. I might try it again closer to the spring or just give away the rest of the sample. There are so many other magnolias out there... not blind buy appropriate.

eaudeaesthetic

Fresh white flowers with smokey undertones almost incensy to my nose.Almost all if not all floraiku is subtle, simplistic, that's why people think it's not worth their high price. But most of the time less is more, most of the time I want something serene ,I enjoyed it,it smells nice, not offensive to others..then why not.

Mimachan

I purchased their discovery set, and I'm delighted with it because I can experience 11 different perfumes from their collection.

Among them, I particularly enjoy the cricket song scent, as it presents a pure floral aroma that I love. It evokes a nostalgic feeling, as if people from the Marilyn Monroe era might have used this fragrance. It exudes a certain old-time charm and sensuality.

Admittedly, it's a bit pricey, but the package comes with a beautiful bottle that feels like a work of art, from the box to the bottle itself and even the traveling pouch

kpop_stan

Wow, I don't agree with the accords list at all... for me, Cricket Song is the beautiful scent of laundry drying in the breeze, cotton linens being gently warmed on a sunny Spring day. Soft, powdery, with a bit of citrus and the tiniest hint of woodiness poking through. This isn't headache-inducing in the slightest, which is wonderful for me as these kinds of perfumes often are!

To me Cricket Song is extremely effortless and chic, but also extremely cosy. I'm just not sure how often I'd wear it (as I'm much more into fruity/citrus-forward scents) so a FB purchase is yet to be decided... if I see it at a good enough price I'd bull the trigger without hesitation, I'm just not sure it's worth it at full RRP when it's probably something you could get from Clean Reserve...

Rexarini

Perfume of a grocery store cologne. Agree. But I like it.

bren400

Smells like OG Poison! 😱 I've smelled Pure Poison, Tendre Poison, Hypnotic Poison, and NOTHING compares to the original formula of Poison like Floraiku's Cricket Song! Took me back to when I was about 11-12 years old ('91-'92). I went through about 2-3 mini dabber bottles (they were the cutest lil things) before I convinced my parents to buy me a full bottle. To me, Cricket Song is nowhere near delicate or subtle. I'd consider the top notes to be adamant and in your face, at least nowadays—just not for me. The "ok" smiley to the right of this review is only because I don't like fragrances like this anymore, but OG Poison was a TOTAL love when I was a tween!

EDIT: 05/28/23-
Nice woody dry-down! I will use up the rest of my sample vial.

NellieD

Smells like a grocery store body spray at the potency of a perfume. Yuck.

Fragaddict123

A feminine release that is mainly mainstream
I didn’t like it
Could’ve been worse
the quality is good
Performance was surprisingly above Average
Pass pass pass

choskieeee

smelled beautiful but DOES NOT LAST and it’s crazy EXPENSIVE for that price i expected it to last at least half a day but nope 1 hour and it’s gone.

CAF911

I went through the entire discovery set with friends and we all liked this one the best.

It’s also one of the few strips that still smell two days later.

It’s still a pretty basic scent though. Not sure if worth the price.

londonviolinist

I absolutely love this perfume. It smells so fresh, I want to spray it straight out of the shower and on fresh laundry (but it’s way expensive for that). Decided to register here simply to say that it smells divine

Vesperexa

I don't like this one at all, I had to scrub it off my wrists. I don't get anything but overpowering, dated magnolia and I'm just not into it at all. I like florals but this is a really shouty floral, to me.

OTA Mom

Generally I am not a fan of magnolia, but this is pretty in a non perfume-y kind of way. Agree that it does take on a soap effect after a while. I feel this out one of their whole line is probably closest to the Japanese aesthetic that is supposed to be the brand inspiration

aspirina

I love this one. You get the bergamot, floral notes and a very fresh vetiver...you get some musk...It does smell fresh, soapy and like a fabric softener. But one that is just too nice! haha...sadly I don't think this deserves $350...a sample is enough for me!

skeleton

It’s a nice white floral citrus. If it was, let’s say, the new aqua allegoria I would have thought: pretty good! For this price it’s ridiculous.

AK2

This one takes me back to the 80s 90s reminding me of my moms friend that used to wear lots of makeup, fur coats and she had her hair dyed every month different color. Vintage and tacky. Not worth the price in my opinion.

wenshere

First I need to say I like how this scent is balanced between citrusy and floral, but something about it is a bit weird. Something in this has a bit of morning breath/dried dool vibe, or a flower that smells a bit 'dirty' and it's throwing me off a bit. I'm not sure what I feel about this one yet.

Groot_Neus

Mixed feelings on this one:
- Opens fresh, citrusy, sweet, and floral.
- 10 minutes in smells like a soap bar a modern 60+ lady would have in her fancy bathroom.
- 1 hour in smells elegant, femininie and subtle, but the soapiness prevails.
All in all it's a lovely, inofennsive scent with average longevity and moderate sillage. Not worth the 💵💶💷

Bubbles1964

An easy to wear gentle magnolia with citrus in the opening. Fades down into……crickets anyone?

lemonsandroses

Underwhelming. Kind of fun at first, floral but a little spicy and fresh, I would guess pink lotus and some kind of citrus were involved. The scent flattens out pretty quickly and all I'm left with is what I guess is magnolia going by the notes here, but to me it just smells like lilac. Exactly like this pure lilac fragrance oil I used to wear in high school. I've tried about half of the sample set and this one is the least impressive so far.

dgtalfuss

at first i got this fresh spicy citrusy scent that i really enjoyed and as i wore it, it turned sweeter and more floral but i can still smell the citrus in it. it's a good scent, i didn't hate it but i wasn't crazy about it either.

i think this could work as someone's daily scent because it's so fresh and unoffensive. but for me, it's too overpriced for how it smells. it's good but not groundbreaking. i got it as a tester and i won't be purchasing the full size.

kcoughlin

Soapy, floral, reminds me of my grandma's potpourri or a fabric softener. I got this as part of the sample set and this isn't the star imo

Coalita

Soapy opening and then LILAC!!! I can't feel Magnolia, Vetiver or Bergamot at all! Maybe it's my skin chemistry. Didn't try to layer yet. Not safe blind buy and doesn't worth the price for sure.

Daisy_D

Soapy opening like a laundry or common fabric softener.
Couldn't catch anything related to bergamot, but straightly went towards magnolia.
Absolutely floral and women fragrance. Quite linear, and clean-linen-like...
Honestly, it doesn't worth this high price.

venusinpurs

Starts off soapy and clean, mellows to citrus and lingers musky by nighttime. It does remind me of fabric softener, but a really elegant one. Wouldn't pay full price for this, but its nice to have in my samples drawer. It seems like this line is really meant to be layered.

thetunez

Floral clothes detergent

clemmy

I encountered that line in Dubai and I fell in love for the packaging. I got a sample but I believe this is a line for asian clientele, generally inspired by more subtle scents. all the perfumes in the line are delicious but too delicate and faint... not for my needs fo projection and sillage... Price tag extremely high, in the range of the most expensive niche perfumes.... 2/5

ingeneuxo

-Opens with a soapy, shampoo scent.
-Dries down to a sharp blend of florals that threatens to rake the nose.
-Not fbw. (-)

ae49

$350 fabric softener.

katariina9

One of the rare fruity florals in this range and therefore perhaps more mass-appealing and certainly feminine. The start is very pretty, and one can smell bright magnolia immediately. After 10 minutes, I smell perfectly ripe and edible pear with some citrus joining. In drydown, clean musk and white flowers. Not much tea, woods or spices for that matter on my skin. Would make beautiful spring scent for a lady in her late teens/20s.

Easy to wear, moderate longevity, but too generic and simple to justify the price. I would say though that all Floraiku scents smell extremely balanced and considering that the high price is due to the quality of ingredients used, I would not hold it against them. Better sustainability and transparency of ingredients is where the whole perfume industry should be moving.

dcjimr

This is not unpleasant at all. It's very floral, and a bit fresh, and to me smells like a very expensive soap or shampoo. I might investigate getting a travel spray of this, but I think there are much less expensive, yet high quality, floral perfumes out there if you're looking for a big bottle. Longevity is not stellar and sillage is average.

Moosubi

Really lovely subtle scent. Nothing ground breaking but easily wearable. Can't justify it for the price, however.

old danny boy

It's a very very nice fragrance; smelling it takes me to a nice bed of flowers. Personally, I like it a lot. It's very expensive but quality is apparent, except its longevity and projection isn't all that powerful. I think a little sub par in this regard for its class. It's perfectly unisex. I think most of the criticism would be more around its value proposition as opposed to outright disliking the scent. It is very pleasant and not offensive to rack up dislikes IMO.

naoh

Crickets. Fits perfectly. It's like you're just splashing musk on you, it's entirely pointless to me to do so because it's not even fresh, it's just not there. 15 Minutes and what little projection there was is gone.

cranky137

If you like magnolia, you need to try it.

Very floral, Bright and crispy for the first 3 hours, then it starts to fade. Sunny and it just cannot not be liked.

I would not pay 320€ for 50 + 10 ml...but if I find it cheap, I would definitely grab a bottle.

severelain

Of the three floraiku scents i have sampled, this is the faintest, the closest to a skin scent. That is not call it a failure. Its soft magnolia is not potent enough make me feel like I'm wearing something intended for a woman. This is subtle, and fits nicely in the overall concept of the house. I am enjoying this.

julisema

So strong floral scent. I do not like it on my skin, but on the women (because for me it's really feminine scent) middle aged I believe I would like it. Interesting but nothing special, just ordinary floral fragrance. Would not pay these money for that.

cinnakitty

Lovers of Pure Poison the original formula may like this as it has a lot in common (to my nose), only with an ever so slightly dirty hint.
Strong white floral, with no sharp edges.
Lovely

Mood4Oud

Cricket Song is from the Enigmatic Flowers Collection.

This is the most floral of all the Floraiku perfumes currently on offer and not really my cup of tea. Those preferring a floral scent and something more feminine may want to try this one first.

Its Haiku follows:

Walking in the darkness
A cricket song
How torrid the heat is!
