Honey Oud by Floris is a Amber Woody fragrance for women and men. Honey Oud was launched in 2014. Top notes are Honey and Bergamot; middle notes are Agarwood (Oud), Rose and Patchouli; base notes are Agarwood (Oud), Amber, Vanilla, Musk and Labdanum.

Two new oriental-woody perfumes which belong to the Floris London Private Collection and were created especially for Harrods will be presented on July 30, 2014. The new fragrances HONEY OUD and LEATHER OUD are based on precious aromas of oud wood, reinterpreted in two ways—with honey and leather.

"Honey Oud opens with a gourmand accord of English honey and vanilla which combine to add a velvet softness to the Oud oil and accentuate the rose at the heart of this complex fragrance. The exclusive fragrance is created with Oud oil from a certified sustainable source of agarwood. This oil is among the most expensive in the perfumer’s palette - with deep qualities found in no other oil. It is an opulent, deep sensual note that combines beautifully with rose and sandalwood." The fragrance is available as 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Honey dominant with a touch of oud. Barely smell the rose here even tho others have said it’s rose dominant. I don’t find that to be true epecially when compared to my other Rose/oud fragrances. This smells somewhat like Back to Black from killian.
This is very light and a very subdued fragrance. And it seems more popular with men but I find it very feminine. I purchased this blind after rave reviews from some of my favorite YouTubers but I should know better by now. This is a strong like not a love. It’s too weak to spark a love affair with. I need to be able to consistently smell myself.

Cadaverine

This scent invokes the moment when you see a work of art or a piece of architecture that may seem beautiful from afar, but from the close-up perspective is a bit disappointing, since "pretty" or "elegant" is not the same as "stunning", let alone "breathtaking".

The initial sprays feel sophisticated, classy, but not too niche or quirky for daily usage, not "for the trained noses only". In my opinion, Honey Oud is also suitable for a formal event. It doesn't smell cheap, it's not too cloying either. Agarwood is detectable, but tame like a well-behaved cat.

I had high hopes, but... Of course, there has to be a "but". Honey note should be more prominent and more vibrant in a scent with "honey" in its name. Instead, it's too subdued. Also, it may well be a skin chemistry dependent experience, but after some time I discovered that Honey Oud has a minty undertone which is not really a quality that I seek in my (supposedly) honey-centered perfume.

TunyaPe

Guys who like/wear this tend to have sweet tooth; funnily enough, the frag is inspired by Baklava. My date loved it and bought it almost at the spot (I did not share my honest thought). Scent-wise, is boring, nothing gentleman about this. Honey Oud is a woody gourmand that dries down overly sweet and artificial as though the honey is done wrong. Rose & amber accords are super weak, fighting for their lives. Nothing to write home about..

frankcrummit

A chance gift sample of this fragrance was enough to convince me that my path is currently leading me away from confections such as this (heavy with synthetic sweetness), in the direction of botanical/natural perfumes.

Speaking as a gardener, it's the difference between a photo of a "perfect" rose in a trade catalogue and a stash of rose petals you have cultivated and gathered from your own garden. Speaking as a cook, it's the difference between the supermarket's "honey from more than one country of origin" and the fragrant golden liquid extracted from the frame in the hive by the wildflower meadow.

If you don't want a total immersion in (artificial) rose or honey, head over to the work of a Maître Parfumeur like Maria Candida Gentile, who uses raw materials to produce fragrances with as high a percentage of essential oils and absolutes as 90%.

CustardBunny

I couldve just as well just smeared pure honey on my wrists. What a gourmand flavor paired with rose.
The dry down notes are very animalic, but in a pleasant way. Like whatd u WANT a horse to smell like. Like a freshly washed pet.
A warm and comforting feeling but after a while a bit too sickly sweet sadly.

Thatbwoy

I was for a long time not so much of a fan of this; I thought it was ‘alright’. I thought it was no better than a load of other ‘ouds’.

Then I left it alone for a while.

Today I came back to it after a few years. It has really impressed me. I think it ranks high in my list of ‘safe Oud fragrances’.

What I mean by ‘safe Ouds’ are those fragrances that have a Oud note in them but they’re marketed towards the casual consumer. Not the frag-head enthusiasts. Yup this ranks alongside Tom Ford Oud; Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir etc.

I don’t think the Oud in it is offensive barnyard or animalic; no this is a sartorial gentle Oud note. It is gentlemanly, a refined affect and mannerisms all purposely polite. This fragrance conjures up an image of an older gentleman who used to entertain crowds with his deft feet and charming grin.

Mr Bojangles.

At the same time I have this image of Idris Elba as Harry Palmer in a John le Carre adaptation.

I’m a complete convert. I really like this.

Trendkill97

Rose oud patchouli combo at heart, immediately reminded me of Montale's Black Aoud initially, then slowly as it dries down it starts resembling Roja's Amber Aoud, which in itself is an exquisite fragrance. In the late stages it's a sweet oudhy vanilla. The honey note in this one is done so well bringing warmth and richness. The scent overall is very delicate and soft but it's beautiful in its blend and quality, the subtle character of it makes it more versatile and is a great entry point for those venturing into oud based fragrances wanting something elegant. Kudos to Floris 7/10

SmellMyCheese

A honey sweetened rose oud, which while yes is treading old ground with rose oud but I think the honey sweetness here is really well blended.
This is an elegant blend as you'd expect from Floris much less heavy handed like a "Middle Eastern cheapie" would do and feels like it's more expensive than it is.

The oud note suprised me in this, I know it's unlikely real oud but it might be the closest to real hindi style oud than most "oud" fragrances out there.
The spiced amber aspects are also nicely done, and as it dries it morphs into a clean musky spiced amber fragrance that lasts a very long time.

This has a very small resemblance to Montale's Honey Oud, the Montale should really be called Honey Musk imho.

Whateverwhocares

Another rose oud frag. The honey note is way too subdued, and doesn’t smell natural anyway. Sits on a bed of floral mud. This smells like every Middle Eastern cheapie I have with a similar profile.

That said, it does improve dramatically toward dry down. The scent gets a little more pronounced and refined at the same time. It retains the same character, but seems to “grow up” a little bit; like the typical neighborhood kid who gets a little older and starts wearing a suit and tie. You’re still that same basic kid… get outta here.

Please note: I am currently trying a whole heap of fragrances and using this website to guide me.
I do not have experience in perfume and have not developed my nose. I am not professional at all. I sweat at work which may affect the scent profile too.

Review:
Seems sophisticated. Probably too old for me - kind of get grandma and high-end brand feeling.

The honey is there but very unisex.

Like the inside of a brand handbag that's been sitting in a wardrobe with moth balls to me. Strong musk and leathery notes with a sweet top note.

It seems to be great quality. would be nice on the right person, but it's not my personal taste :)

glitterary

I tried this on an earlier today and for a long time the scent was almost a dupe for Rose Jam by LUSH. It took a long time to lose the edge of rose and mellow into a more powdery, honeyed oud. It’s still very powerful with strong sillage. I like it, but give the availability of something so similar for much less I wouldn’t get the expensive version.

belladonnaofsadness

I like this a lot but I don't think it's something I'd list as a Must Try for honey scents, where I'd want something that made me feel like I'm being engulfed in it, like a girl on a horror movie poster that's covered in blood. The honey is present and gives a pleasant sweetness, but I think it's more of a amber/incense sort of vibe. Very very smooth, and soft enough to wear to the office as it lasts a decent amount of time but with low projection.

frag_nostalgia

Rich, ambery, sweet, crystallized honey, warmly enveloping in woods with just the right amount of rose and vanilla. Love at first smell. It doesn't project heavily, which I appreciate, and lasts for hours on the skin. If this scent could be equated to a material, it is a silky gold scarf, wrapping you head to toe in smooth, sweet smelling warmth. A luxurious and heavenly scent. Beautiful presentation and bottle. Fair price for such a quality fragrance. If you love a honeyed, leathery, user-friendly oud, Floris' Honey Oud is a must have. I imagine this working for EVERY skin chemistry. Such a lovely, addicting, almost edible smell. 10/10!

GiannisP

Not my cup of tea! The main notes to my nose are honey, oud and rose. There are also some ambery, vanilic and muscy undertones. The scent is sweet, woody, the honey is not the most realistic honey i ever smelled but it's ok. The oud is a bit medicinal but not harsh or animalic and the rose gives the floral aspect to the fragrance.

Performance is good with moderate projection. It's a scent that it's easy enough to wear all year round except the hot summer days and to me it leans feminine. Overall, i think that it's a good option for the people that looking for something like this but it's not something that blew me away.

Lukasssss

Right off the bat I smell honey, amber, rose, and some vanilla. I find it very similar to Ambre Nuit by Dior, especially in the opening.
This, however, has a stronger rose note. If you don't like rose, then this is not something for you. It is also sweeter than Ambre Nuit thanks to the honey.
Call me crazy, but I have a hard time detecting the oud in this. I feel like it sits in the background and gives the fragrance additional depth without really showing itself.
Honey Oud is a very pleasant fragrance, but it is not my taste. I prefer Ambre Nuit to this. It is mainly the turkish rose note that throws me off a bit and makes me not want to wear it. This type of rose note reminds me of an old lady. 6,5/10.

oksaoksa

Sweet amber.
Agree, that for true amber lovers could be too much rose. For me too.
Honey oud feels more to fruity side.
Less honey, no powdery note.
But love bergamote note, that comes out later.

NickZee

Starts with a stunning gourmand honey note but that is gone in 5-10 minutes. The next hour is my least favorite - a big powdery turkish rose note. But then becomes more masculine and cologney - amber blended with subtle oud, patchouli, mineralic notes and a particular shine that I cant place. Overall would be a great fragrance if they toned down the turkish rose phase, maybe introducing a more unisex rose note to go alongside it and balance it out better.

frag7700

Too much rose for me. Smells like grandma.

Cherry_Darling

Very soft and powdery indeed. The oud is not shouting at all, even though it's said to be the main note. I don't even really feel it in there to be honest. This to me is much more of a thick nougaty smell, not that much oudy about it, honey yes, it really reminds me more of the moroccan dessert style perfumes with notes of dates, powder, nougat, nutty notes, amber, soft rose. True to Floris style it's very subtle even though it's notes would suggest a bomb (it is sweeter than usual floris.) A very sophisticted honey oud. I don't get moss like some have said, it's very wearable. Oud is present but also very wearable here. In comparison to the Montale honey oud - this is much more soft, that one to me is scratchy and loud on the oud.

Mariyamokshina

Powdery honey and moss . I’m not a powdery kind-a-gal, so not for me .

stopwhining65

They have definitely tweaked the formula. I had an older sample that was more warm and full bodied. Bought a full bottle, and while it’s still very good, regal and refined, it’s not quite as warm/rich. Definitely better on clothes.

leriver

I have the strangest longevity experience with this, it is gorgeous sweet/balanced/spicy gourmand oud for those who do not like oud (me) that clings to fabric and blotters for hours and hours... on my skin, gone after an hour. If it would stick to me I would want to smell like ("taste" like) this on evenings out in West London.
This unique, beautiful scent is like getting naked, then silently walking out of the room.

likesleet

this is surprisingly good, balancing sophisticated and sweet. honey combines with rose to be candy like. incredibly sweet but not heavy or sticky.

The Wolf

Testing this tonight and I can understand why it's popular and highly rated. It reminds me of the discontinued Bond New York Oud and MFK Silk Mood. I actually like this better than both because the honey here is great. It's sweet and doesn't feel synthetic although I'm sure it is. The oud does not punch you in the face or smell skunky, like in the MFK. It's westernized and easy to wear, but also carries some depth that satisfies my affinity for niche. Performance seems strong so far.

Scent 8.4/10
Performance TBD

SNKIOP

Fall Winter Scent: 6,5 Honey and oud, but it has some freshness in the back at the opening, perhaps from the bergamot. It's warm and works better for colder weather. Pretty elegant scent, bit mature not really playful or anything like that. It feels more like oud with a hint of honey than the other way around. Silage: 5/10 Longevity: 6/10

Jitterbugboy

More like Honey Oud My God. This is a fantastic fragrance for the fall and winter months. Two sprays, one on the nape of my neck and one on the chest, is all it takes. Twelve hours after I put it on in the morning, I can still get whiffs of it even though it's basically down to skin scent. I'm pretty new to fragrances, so I can't break down notes or anything sophisticated like that, but I like the way this smells, and that's that.

Oudmulg

Honey and soapy musk are the underlying notes here. Some dank oud, traditional rose and floral notes. This caused a bit of a headache, perhaps after one too many sprays, so will ensure conservativism in future. An older orientated oud fragrance but bonkers performance. Very long lasting. Dry down is all honey.

GoldIris

Soft soapy-musk and sweet honey with realistic crisp rose, not really similar to Montale's Honey Aoud but in the same scent family. Personally I prefer Montale's HA, it smells better in my opinion, has more depths, isn't that linear and lasts much longer, but Floris' H-A does smell more natural. Montale's HA has that slight synthetic thing in the background, but I don't mind it since the scent trail is amazing.

Child Chemist

Similar to Dior Ambre Nuit, a rosy amber. Bergamot keeps this fresh throughout, and with the honey, I thought I was smelling ginger at first. The oud is in the background and blended with musk. Honey Oud is very much the Floris style; Rose-Oud from an English perspective.

The oud here is quite addictive, you keep wanting more of that woodiness underneath everything. It's like they didn't give you enough on purpose!

vetiverica

The scent itself is great, but this is far too linear.

Bluestar5517

Opens with a gorgeous, sweet honey. I had high hopes, as it was a beautiful, rich scent and I thought this might be the honey I am searching for. Unfortunately, within five minutes, the oud overpowered everything else, and it was all I smelled. For hours. I sprayed it on my arms at 9am, and could still smell oud at 6pm.

JL2271

Honey Oud is beautiful. What a pleasant surprise from Floris. I get golden honey powder almost dusty in the middle of a lemon field. I think the lemon I get is from the bergamot and also the rose which can to my nose sometimes gives off or adds to a lemon/lime note. The Oud blends perfectly with the rest of the notes lending the fragrance depth and personality. This is a fragrance that puts me in a good mood It’s like hot water with lemon and honey on a cold morning. I get good performance with it and I think it’s very versatile and can be worn under most circumstances. Maybe not in the heat and humidity of mid summer but certainly once the late summer early fall come. Highest level scent for me 4.75/5. I’ve heard good things about Leather Oud by Floris as well, look forward to trying that also.

Edit-Tried Floris Leather Oud also. Excellent as well.

Qhemist

This one truly is a beautiful one. You initially get that Honey sweet rose and vanilla which quickly brings on the thick woody Oud backdrop. Some say it does not last long but to me it really goes strong all day and grows in character while it ages. In fact after wearing it all day and taking a shower I can still smell it where I sprayed my forearms. I also feel this one can be worn all year except if being used in the Summer it would be more suitable at night. Beautiful fragrance from Floris.

Curtis Gabriel

I love this, my favourite from Floris. I find it more on the intimate side than projecting personally. Doesn’t last all that long either but I do love it very much. Opening is very much honey, beautiful, warm and rich with an Oud backdrop, just enough. After it dries down the darker notes temper the honey to a lovely balance of sweet and dark. Any season for any reason. This is very versatile.

Liljekonvall

I got a mini bottle(10ml i guess) when i got bouquet ideale i ordered and may o may was i happy for that🥰Both very Good perfumes🥰👏👏👏Recomend both🥰

likesleet

the oud isnt undercut by the honey as much as you might think. i didn't think it was super sweet.

Zethre

I get honey, oud, and a sort of cold, powdery incense. The whole effect is cold. Quite nice, but I like golden, warm toned honey perfumes, and this isn't it. Dua's Evocative Honey is a far superior hobey and oud to my mind

rayt

Nice, but wayyy too sweet for me. If you like SWEET then give it a try!

sistermoon

Oh yes. Very ambery, woodsy with the most delicious honey note. Too strong for me but would love to smell this on a man!

ambiplasma

I’ve probably tired everyone I know out with how much I’ve raved about this perfume. It smells exactly like all the best elements in a hot toddy (minus the alcohol).
The longevity is immense, and on clothes it lasts for days, sometimes even after washing.
One of the most edible fragrances I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing.

hans.backe

This is good, smooth, sweet but not to sweet. Kinda fresh, clean, non-offensive oud.

I would def wear this fragrance, even at the office.

CTH

Testing this again lately, I love this fragrance its just so soft, smooth, refined and excludes class and sophistication.
I am not a fan of overly sweet fragrances and the honey is just done right here, the scent has such a realistic honey accord and the dry down is just divine with this mysterious resinous note.
However, if you are after a projecting fragrance to get some attention than this is not one of them as it is very much a skin scent, perfect for that special someone who gets close to you to enjoy. Its a love :) but just not enough to invest in a large bottle, maybe a 15ml one off ebay.

طارق المنصوري

Imagine the scent of the luxurious oud blending with the aroma of honey and the nectar of flowers extracted from the English meadows... a rich and delicious scent that gives a feeling of luxury and comfort.
hany oud perfume
A very wonderful fragrance for lovers of the oud fragrance mixed with the smell of honey (sweet) with very light bursts of rose and vanilla.. I recommend it to lovers of luxury and excellence.

RamsesII

Scent is good. Realistic honey with woodsy oud.
The problem is that performance is bad. Less than average.

So not worth it at all. No one will smell it on you.

Orlygrazi

Excellent honey scent, close to exactly what I'm looking for in a honey / oud combo. Opens with a surprising hint of bergamot with the honey taking center stage. The sweetness of the honey / vanillins / resinous notes is expertly rounded out by the oud - this keeps the fragrance grounded and from becoming cloyingly sweet, the darkness of the oud an ever present presence through the scent progression.
I get amazing longevity and sillage from this to the point where I worry about over spraying - signature scent worthy

gmoney9438

Oud should be a top note, from start to finish. Very lovely and well blended rose that plays nicely with the oud and honey, not screaming. Sits very close to the skin. Very elegant skin scent the polar opposite of loud. More masculine, but women can 100% pull this off. There are definitely better ouds and honeys elsewhere. Longevity is absolutely shameful, but absolutely great work-safe scent when your boss tells you to come in for a half shift.

This one is a lovely scent for gentlemen and not little boys, but not a must buy. 9/10 scent, stunningly elegant. 3/10 performance, absent father-like longevity. Floris Honey Oud went down to the store for a carton of milk and a pack of cigs, and never came back.

green flowers

Has it been reformulated?

On my skin Honey Oud used to last all day and I could even smell it the next day after a shower...it was amazing.
But I recently tried it and it seemed lighter and it disappeared after about 3 hours...
Anyone else experience the same thing?

CTH

A lovely fragrance with a delightful dry down that is just divine.

amandawilliamspalmer

Love, love, love, sweet, powdery, sexy. Perhaps my new favourite.

Lilacs&Lavender

If not for the disappointing longevity, Honey Oud by Floris would be glorious. It reminds me of making smokey caramel by slowly melting honey, water, lemon and butter over a log fire. If you have never tried this when camping, you haven’t lived! Just don’t take your eyes off the pan for a second, and keep curious little fingers away until it’s cooled.

Unfortunately, Honey Oud it is so fleeting as to be non-existent within minutes, even after I resorted to spraying it over a thick fragrance free body lotion and my dress. That trick usually works for me in making fragrances “stick”. Nope.

On the plus side, this smells “natural” and has a Montale Honey Oud vibe, without the artificial chemicals plaguing it. The oud is a light, pleasant western friendly version, and the honey is a gourmand caramel, so Floris’ Honey Oud is a nice alternative to the louder oud/honey/tobacco combos around if you want something more polite and office friendly. In fact is so fleeting and light, no one will have a chance to become offended.

Come on Floris, you are usually better than this.

TonyTheTiger

Unfortunately I have to report this has undergone a significant reformulation and the news isn't good. I got a decant off a friend, liked it very much. I was confused however why the votes here were predominately 'long lasting' for longevity. The opening lasted around an hour but then it was very light and close after that. Anyway I bought a used bottle off eBay, to my surprise it was way stronger. The opening lasted 3h and I had to be careful not to over-spray as it was very easy for it to get cloying whereas with the decant I was spraying liberally and topping up regularly.

Dhandho

I own this fragrance and it is pleasant but the only real frustration is it has potential to be great and falls short of that. The natural ingredients will impress most, it is high quality and breaks the mold of english perfumery with a valiant attempt to be more "french" and they should be complimented in this but that is where it leaves me wanting more. However, it can be layered rather well and deserves at least a 4/5.

e2less

I received a sample of Honey Oud. The fragrance is quite a soft sweet honey with very lite florals. Don't get much oud or anything dark or deep about this fragrance. The drydown stays sweet with a powdery amber and a lite musk. It's not bad at all but imo the "oud" is a little misleading. It sits very close to the skin; a better name could be "Honey Musk."

Perfume_madness

This is a LOVE for me! Got a travel size spray and WOW! I'm sad a full bottle is like $250. I can't even describe it. Honey and powder and a bit boozy. I will keep my eye out for an affordable bottle.

strongerwithglue

a nice fragrance, leans more mature than i prefer to wear. quite serious smell.

Gabriel.1440

The opening is gorgeous while the quality is second to none. The major dropback is the performance which is indeed surprisingly underwhelming. I get about one hour projection and then it slowly dies down. When reaching the 4h mark, it is almost gone! I can barely pick it up then. Very disappointing for such a well-blended scent with a high pricetag.

Bubbles1964

Bought a 3ml sample and I’m glad I did because I won’t be purchasing a full bottle. This is the same medicinal, overpowering Oud used in Montale, Mancerra and Ramon Monegal perfumes, and it doesn’t work for me. This particular Oud is so strong it blows away the honey and rose notes. Happy that I only sprayed once.

Fischer84

I get a big dose honey and a bit of oud, but not too much. The other notes are very hard for me to pick up. The honey note is a picture perfect, realistic, natural smelling honey - not a stylized perfume version. I would say this is a gourmand in that sense. Strangely, I don't find it to be overly sweet, and perhaps that's because of the oud. I find it to be quite masculine as well. This is a refined, rich and full bodied scent that I think many people would enjoy smelling, especially in the colder months.

shushkin

I tried this once stunning scent a few years back. My bottle is the real deal but it's a shadow of its former nuclear scent. Absolutely gutted.
SO PLEASE DON'T BLIND BUY EXPECTING IT TO BE IT'S AMAZING FORMER SELF
You will have to buy Montale Honey Aoud if it's the glorious original that you seek but even then it's not quite the same.

tessture

Soft oud and sweet smooth notes, but has that touch of screamy wood chemical that I can't get away from. WHAT IS THAT!!!? It's used to boost wood notes, but ends up smelling like sharp rubbing alcohol on me, just very harsh and loud. Ruins the soft oud/sweet smooth. Darnit.

Mestalla

Excellent gourmand perfume, rich and deep smell of delicious honey. It last for many hours and one of my absolute favorite fragrances. Worth every penny.

Alexinaboxx

This is a 'like' for me. Not a 'love'. The opening is pretty medicinal on my skin. Like a medicinal rose/floral/oud. I get the sweetness in the dry down. The dry down is a soft, beautiful sweet skin scent. So unfortunately nobody can smell that part. I expected a little more honey from this fragrance. In the dry down I get a lot of vanilla. Also, in the opening I get this odd almost 'urine-like' scent. It's brief but I definitely noticed it. I'm glad I got this at a discounted price. I wouldn't recommend this at full price to anyone......

HungarianGenius

Uninspired Honey Oud combo that for the price left me a little disappointed and very bored.
There are better and cheaper Honey Oud options available. Very little projection to make things worse

Alisaaa131

I purchased a sample and I'm glad to have experienced this but I don't think I'll be purchasing a full bottle.
First impression was a medicinal oud with the honey/vanilla sloowly oozing in.
It's very smooth and reminds me of a Mancera fragrance without little lasting power..
After walking with it in on I was getting heavy patchouli and honey which smells almost identical to Lady Million Prive, only the latter has a bit of raspberry in it.

All in all, it's nice but not $170 nice...

Forever Neil

WHOA! The opening is way too sweet for me! This is a very rich perfume. I would say cold weather only. I know it's highly regarded in fragcomm, but it's just too sweet for me.Yes, it's high quality, and the honey smells beautiful with the oud. I would recommend this more for a woman. Don't beat me up. It's just my opinion. I will not rate this, just not to offend anyone.

I could recommend this for a woman who can't stand ouds, but is intrigued by ouds. This fragrance is definitely for a woman with class and style.

Luccia

I found a sample included with another purchase, tried it and could not get it out of my mind. The honey is true and the oud brings out its rich dimensions full of golden sun and relaxation. The effect is something like the slow beauty of honey dripping like liquified magic hour sunlight. Those whose skin reacts badly to honey perfumes will not be able to wear this one, it’s very real. You know the notes already as listed above, the main thing is the experience which is warm inviting and distractingly beautiful. On the deeper side as compared to the more luminous, brighter Lutens Miel de Bois, which I also love, worth having both for those whose skin accepts a realist strong honey note as it is intended.

Flanic

Saw all the good reviews and decided to order a sample. I'd say that this perfume mostly delivers. It really does smell honey and it last a long time with an acceptable projection. My only problem is that I couldn't help but sometimes smell cat urine. Maybe it's just me but I would definitely recommend to test it before you order a bottle. I personally ended up not buying it.

Birnam_Wood

An MFK-esque sweet ambery oud but not so dense or sticky, this one is smoother than marble balls. As far as a sweet ambery oud go, this scent is as polite as it can be, but not a prude like Penhaligon's.

I always have a hard time telling sweet notes apart, so I don't get the honey note, or even oud. If you want some distinct deep honey scent, try Slowdive by Hiram Green.

The whole thing probably is meant to be a mixed sweet ambery aura, no need to single out any notes. I'd say it's a rather linear scent, it didn't change much, just slowly fades away.

Personally, I won't be able to pick out any details without a reference scent at side. If you're not interested in nuances, you can stop reading.

By contrast of another sweet ambery patchouli perfume——Arbole, Arbole by Hiram Green, I noticed the black-peppery woody note at the top, with a camphor edge.

At some point, the rose manifest itself as a soft veil on the ambery body, I can tell this little flower borders on "plastic", but luckily, it didn't cross the line.

Although it's rather linear, the dry-down still manage to get stickier, only turns to sour labdanum at the very last stage.

Finally got myself a bottle, after longing for so long. One of my absolute favourites that I probably can't be without in the future. All I hope now is they don't discontinue or reformulate it.

A sweet, gourmandy oud with loads of honey and some roses thrown in. Dries down to a very sweet musk. Sexy and elegant all the way through. And it's the kinda business woman (not saying it's feminine) throwing her shoes off and putting her feet on the table at the office, in otherwise, formal attire, kind of sexy, if you catch my drift (lol) It's definitely unisex. Laid back, playful, naughty, sexy but elegant and non-intruding.

11/10.

Honey Oud has the most distinct honey note I've ever come across. It's out in front of the oud ever so slightly. Half the fun wearing the fragrance is in trying to figure out if the oud is being gracious and letting the honey lead or humbled by the surprising strength of its dance partner. A splendid pairing.

I was sooo looking forward to try this one on my skin before I put it down for my big order on FragranceNet. Sadly, the oud smell was so strong I could barely smell honey and rose (which are my favourite scents). I am still quite new to niche fragrances but this is definitely not for the faint of heart. I can see this being appealing to men not really women. I am in my mid-20s and I think for a woman to pull this off she has to be quite established maybe with her career or her family. I am still into the sweet, floral, citrusy, fruity, occasionally woody and oriental. This is too much wood (maybe I was looking forward to smell pure honey) hence why it knocked off all my expectation to nothing. I am too simple and immature for this scent that's all I can say.

Farhaatabd1102111

This the kind of fragrance that makes people want to come close to you. A warm, sweet spice of a fragrance, I truly have never smelled anything like it. I have yet to run across something that copies the DNA of sweet honey, a spicy tobacco, and vanilla behind there somewhere too along with rose.

Best scenario to wear this: A formal affair with importance; perhaps a wedding, state affair, etc. This WILL make you stand out with even 2 sprays so be careful.

I really like this one, and for $100/100 ml, I don't think it's priced too high (relative to generic or uninteresting designer scents). However, I think I might like Euphoria Gold for Men a bit more, in terms of a scent that focuses on honey, as it seems more dynamic. I look forward to a second wearing, where more facets might be revealed. Now if you are seeking something with a really thick/syrupy texture, this might not work for you, as the honey note is contrasted with a dry/smoky/oud/woody type note, but I prefer this kind of composition, though if the honey note was weaker I don't think I would find it all that interesting (considering how many "oud scents" there are these days). I wish the reviewer who stated that he thought another scent with a similar idea was significantly better would have explained his opinion.

neversmeltit

Ok this is very honey sweet straight away....10 minutes rose builds and subtle oud filters in....very delicate and cultured. Waves of vanilla and beautiful amber it’s lovely. Musk also with Oud hints ....this is truly first class I may not buy a full size bottle but only because I am not super rich.....class from London

Honey, Oud, Rose, Patchouli, Vanilla, Bergamot, Amber, Musk, Labdanum; these are superb notes and "guess what"... They are all present in Floris Honey Oud. This is so so so good. The honey is not loud, the rose is just right, the patchouli is subtle but present, I'm sure I'm going to be needing another bottle in 6 months, gosh, I overspray this stuff, no need to refresh for 8 hrs but I do in 4. Never gotten a negative reaction, only positive. All year round performer, perfect aura it'll create. Never too loud, not too quiet, not too sweet, just balanced right down the middle. Floris as a company has been around for eons, so they know their stuff and it shows. Honey oud is often compared to Montale Honey Aoud, here's how I describe them: honey oud "confident and humble" while Montale is "Confident and Rude", yeah! Digest that for a minute.

Briezy

Powdery amber sweetened up with vanilla and honey (not the skanky type) brightened with bergamot, crossed with an elegant rose-patch combo and a dose of well-mannered oud. To my nose, it's a bit of a cross between Shalimar and Portrait of a Lady, with the oud lending a sharp focus effect.

ankas

The opening is tobacco-ish, that almost felt harsh. But the scent calmed down quickly and went to a perfectly blended honey on my skin.
This scent makes me feel sexy, not in-your-face-sexy but in a subtle way.

steve0580

This is a straightforward honey and vanilla fragrance.

I've found that honey is only slightly stronger than the vanilla but the blend makes for a wonderful combination. Now, because I'm not great at identifying certain notes, I will say that amber may be an added enhancement to it but because I can't individually pick out an amber note, I'll just assume it's there.

My opinion is that it's a unisex fragrance but leans feminine. If you're a guy wearing this, you'll need to be confident and enjoy wearing sweet fragrances.

It's a strong fragrance, so it doesn't take much. One or two sprays is just fine, otherwise, it will become cloying and people around you may start to tap out. PLEASE don't overspray this if you're wearing it in an office setting.

Additionally, I can't see wearing this fragrance in an especially hot environment or on a hot day. It will no doubt amp it up and it may become difficult to handle, for someone else.

The projection is at least average (I haven't done a distance test, asking someone else if they could smell it). Longevity is very good to excellent and I'll conservatively say 6-8 hours but I'm getting more than 8.

Aseelaki

The beat honey accord I've ever experienced in a fragrance. The oud is nothing to write home about but it doesn't make or break this perfume.

The honey is not too sweet or animalic; and every element of honey is represented. It has this dry sugary scent that you get from real honey.
The oud is in the background but it's not the real thick smoky oud you might expect. It's just a flat warm woody oud that's boring on it's own. However, it dose work out well in this fragrance beacuse the honey keeps it intresting.

If your looking for a honey fragrance and your in good terms with oud then this is a no-brainer. The projection is average but it last long on skin.

brandonmont

As the name implies, you get a lot of honey and oud. The oud is somewhat medicinal but not much, just enough to let you know its oud and not just woods. The honey is sticky and sweet but not cloying. Nice fragrance for the cooler weather.

Nataly17

The 1st Oud perfume that I liked! (which means that Oud is very much blended, balanced, and so on :) but Oud provides some amazing note to spice up the whole thing, like chilly pepper in food, so it's also not a plain honey etc). If you also don't like Oud but don't mind other oriental perfumes - try this!

Nick1992

Majestic in a single word. Floris’ Honey Oud is deeply nuanced, beautifully blended and unreservedly sophisticated.

Honey Oud opens with thick, sweet, golden honey; beautifully beckoning, sensual even. As the honey settles on the skin so appears the oud – warm, nutty, spicy - utterly devoid of stank. Somewhere in the back lurks a fleeting rose whose freshness lifts both the oud and honey accords.

The gradual dry down softens the oud (and, to a lesser extent, the honey) as sweet, creamy vanilla matches the darkening earthiness of grassy patchouli and syrupy amber. The honey never truly dissipates on my skin, it’s evident right to the very end.

Majestically smouldering, Honey Oud is a fragrance of tremendous quality. Unique too in its pairing of oud with honey rather than the more common rose. Heavy but utterly wearable thanks to its smooth velvetiness.

Totally unisex. Best suited to fall/winter wear.

I get 10-12 hours wear on my skin (days on clothes). Sillage is heavy-moderate.

This smells very similar to my Honey hand wash soap that i have at home. It smells good no doubt but for me this smell will always be soap.

This is by far my favorite oud fragrance; it’s versatile, unisex, and tends to induce feelings of confidence and positivity even in the most chaotic of circumstances. This is either extremely sexy, or I feel incredibly sexy wearing it; the roses and amber are warm and addicting. Honey Oud makes me feel as though I am hanging on the arms of a very powerful man who wrestles bears for fun and wears a letter “S” on his chest.

The opening is a sparkling cloud of honey and woods with rose petals blossoming throughout. Musk and patchouli are mildly perceptible but its presence is dominated by the appearance of spicy vanilla and amber. The agarwood, rose, and vanilla combined smells like old prayer books and church incense, incredible. Honestly I can’t think of a more harmonious blend of notes; these facets go so well together–as if they were created solely for the purpose of this perfume.

Besides the attractive appeal, Honey Oud reminds me of old Roman cathedrals with vaulted ceilings and wood panels on praying altars. It’s like sitting in church on a bright Sunday morning, taking in the scent of virtuousness that exudes from the layers of stone and architecture that has persisted for centuries.

I honestly love this fragrance, and for such an expensive scent…its price is very agreeable too; overall a true masterpiece worthy of its reputation.

Floris Honey Oud has received a lot of buzz lately, and in liking both main notes, seeing its positive reception in the online community, and really loving Montale's similarly-named Honey Aoud, I knew I needed to sample Floris Honey Oud.

First off, both eponymous notes dominate the fragrance--it's mainly honey and oud, simply put. Other notes factor in: bergamot provides a non-sweet citrus additive to the opening of the fragrance, and patchouli and rose support the heart, but very subtly. I don't specifically get labdanum but there's a general floral element that could just be the mix of rose and labdanum. And while I don't specifically get vanilla or musk, vanilla easily blends with honey and musk easily smoothens any dry down.

I get year-round wearability out of this, as the comparably winter-leaning notes of honey and oud come off pretty fresh. I can't think of another way to put it: even in its dry down, there's something very refreshing about the honey and oud duo in this case.

I feel the need to mention that despite my initial suspicions, Floris Honey Oud is not terrible similar to Montale Honey Aoud, as Montale's take is simply heavier-handed on both the eponymous notes to make their fragrance both more of a gourmand and more oud-intensive. Floris Honey Oud is, by contrast, a fresher, more year-round-friendly use of both notes, but still performs well.

I like Honey Oud a lot and will strongly consider adding it to my collection. $235 for 100ml retail but available at FragranceX for $152, its pricing is viable for how much I like it, and frankly, for how different it is from Montale Honey Aoud, also on my to-buy list.

a typical derivative sweet rose oud; pretty but not stunning; like but not love

Good stuff. Smooth oud in this one. No tinge. I can imagine wearing this around the winter holidays and really enjoying it. There's something sophisticated about this scent. One small spray on the arm and its blasting my nostrils. Note to self - be careful buddy. Shit is strong like bull.

Honey Oud is a scent that lives up to it's name, especially in the opening. HO starts as a deliciously strong Honey Oud combination that fills the room. Honey and Oud stay in the spotlight doing a sexy Tango on my skin for the first few hours. Amber, Vanilla and musk join the dance after a few hours, but Honey and Oud remain the dominant stars of the dance. About 6 hours in, the rose joins the stage. It does not outshine the Honey and Oud stars of this fragrance, but it does join the party, and mingles with Amber, vanilla and Musk. As a guy that is not a big rose fan, I am very happy that the rose is well blended into the fragrance and it does a great job adding depth vs being a dominant note.

Throughout the day, I was getting delicious whiff of this beautiful fragrance. Each whiff bringing a smile to my face.

Honey Oud is a very rich, luxurious and classy scent that is well blended and balanced.

The first time I wore this fragrance, I went to get my hair cut. The lady that cuts my hair complimented me several times on it and asked me to write the name of this fragrance down so she could get a bottle.

I bought Honey Oud around the same time as I purchased Montale's Honey Aoud. To my nose they have a lot of similarities in performance and scent, just replace the blended rose here with a blended cinnamon there.

Bottom line: This scent is worth trying a sample of.

Enticing, erotic, sensual and sexual. Definitely not for the office, more for the boudoir as a hook to entice the object of your desire's passions. The smell of seduction...

Calvini

I'm in love with this! The subtle rose makes it a hybrid rose-oud that's truly unisex; aside from the prominent honey note, everything is seamlessly connected and extremely well balanced :)
This one has grown on me so much that I'm thinking of buying it to replace Jo Malone's Velvet Rose & Oud AND Serge Lutens' Miel de Bois!

JohnMc

I've just received a sample bottle from Floris, but I also managed to try it before the sample arrived by way of a visit to Fortnum & Mason and it is fantastic - I love the sensual, alluring Honey. The blending is elegant and the longevity very good - in a word, captivating!

Ovaltine Jenkins

The opening notes to me are almost exactly 50/50 honey and oud. These notes work very well in combination. Continues this way for about an hour and then dries down for several more hours to an amber and vanilla mix that reminds me of the dry down in Dior Homme Intense. Well blended and classy. A winner.

siririschmoos

Maybe it was hyped just a bit too much in my head after reading the numerous positive reviews for this scent here.

As I write this review it seems the honey note gets just a few more votes than the oud note. All I'm getting is oud with a sweet type undertone that to me just does not conjure the image of honey.

It seems okay but just doesn't impress me. It seems to project well and after about three hours seems like it isn't fading away any time soon.

I don't get any rose either, this is my second wearing and I really applied quite a bit this time.

On to the next oud scent..............

Strappyshoo

I bought this at the Floris boutique on Jermyn Street at the weekend. When I first heard about it a few months ago I thought it would be something I'd like and I wasn't disappointed. It is very warm and gently spiced and the blending is beautiful. The honey is more prominent than the oud and it works really well, it isn't cloying and overdone, it's perfectly judged. I think this is perfect for autumn and winter but I can't see myself wearing this in warmer months. A solid offering from Floris and one that I think they should be very proud of. Fulfilling.

**update Every time I sniff the bottle I get a huge scent recollection of Jicky! Why is this?! I'm really confused! I don't think they share the same notes but literally its Jicky reincarnated. How strange?!

desdemona7

Lasts about 5 minutes on me and, poof, it's gone. I love honey but can hardly detect it here, and I find this too expensive and fleeting. I was hoping for something along the line of Montale White Oud which is stronger, and yet mellow. I'll pass.

Jamiljames

This is such a classic high quality fragrance. What I love about this is how well the honey and oud combine. Strangely enough I think the honey outshines the oud. It is such a rich smell. Irrespective of the notes I only detect honey and oud. Impressive longevity and a great choice to wear. I preferred this one over the leather oud although I think both are impressive creations.

rossyegio5

GIUGGIOLA2

Stunning !!

mister_chaz

Sweet honey, rose and oud - very nice festive fragrance. It's nose-tingling and zingy, but smooth and comfortable at the same time. The rose is sour, but pleasant; I also get some patch. Overall, it's a nice sweet radiant scent.
