Gucci Guilty Absolute pour Femme by Gucci is a Chypre Fruity fragrance for women. Gucci Guilty Absolute pour Femme was launched in 2018. The nose behind this fragrance is Alberto Morillas. Top notes are Blackberry, Pink Pepper and Bergamot; middle notes are Cypress, Bulgarian Rose, Woody Notes and Vetiver; base notes are Indian Patchouli and Amber.

After the masculine edition of Gucci Guilty Absolute from the beginning of 2017, Gucci expands its Gucci Guilty perfume collection with the new women's fragrance Gucci Guilty Absolute pour Femme, which comes out in early 2018. The fragrance was born from the collaboration between creative director of Gucci fashion house Alessandro Michele and perfumer Alberto Morillas.

"I wanted a blackberry note that would make you dream upon smelling it. It’s magical and it’s connected to nature, as well as to emotion. There is romance in this perfume, an aura of pure, free love", ALESSANDRO MICHELE.

"Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme is created using a particular blend with a structure that remains unchanged from the first time it is applied to the skin. Goldenwood is complemented with a mysterious note of blackberry, creating a non-traditional chypre fruity fragrance for a contemporary woman. The fragrance’s composition is intensified with patchouli oils and Bulgarian rose."

The new composition merges berries, flowers and chypre notes to create a more intense and sensual interpretation of Gucci Guilty fragrance from 2010. Like the men’s Absolute edition, Absolute pour Femme blends notes of Goldenwood® with natural extracts of Nootka Cypress. It includes note of aromatic plant with bitter citrusy scent called Monarda didyma.

It is available as a 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum.

Feminine and Creamy blackberry-red rose duo.
Patchouli adds maturity while subtle woods and amber add modernity.
Fortunately, not loud or brash...
A refined fruit-florale perfume.
Full drydown brings this one down to earth but never loses it's rosy core.
More dressy than daily.

I have a full sized bottle (80ml, boxed) of Gucci Guilty Absolute pour femme READY to go to a good home in NZ or Australia (swap or purchase)... I blind purchased it believing those who said it smelled like Byredo's Rose of No Man's Land (it does not, Byredo's is MUCH sweeter & rosier) and I get a somewhat sweet but very loud cypress/conifer scent on my skin! I now understand those who say this leans masculine because it really does! This SHOULD be a man's scent! This stuff is discontinued and well loved so I know it will appeal to many of you... pm me please!

Forbiddenjade

Just tested this (1 hour ago circa) - it opened with a fresh, fruity blackberry and rather soon morphed into rose/oud-alike combo.

I have to say that although it isn't groundbreaking, the usual combo here was very balanced, smooth: perhaps because the berry provides backbone, though not so obviously.
I like this! It's befitting of an Arabian princess - aka a typical but very well made middle Easterner scent. Worth a test if you like the genre.

Gillzathrillza

Blackberry. Rose. Patchouli. All up in your nose holes, inducing pleasure.

It’s amazing. It’s a dark femininity - the bottle is exactly the right colour for the juice inside.

Quite unusual and not readily available so it doesn’t feel super common or overdone.

The longevity is good and the sillage is healthy. One of the better Gucci scents I’ve smelled.

thaochipnd

Female perfume but smells dark, cold and slightly masculine. I have the feeling that this is the scent of a Blackberry bush in a deep, dark forest. Around that Blackberry bush there are Dark Red Wild Roses with luxuriant thorns, like the forest in the movie “Sleeping Beauty”.

Ljena777

Got a bottle for Christmas in 2018. It came with a travel size 10ml bottle as well, so I carried it everywhere. I’ve always repurchased it, it has a special place in my heart. It’s one of the scents that my partner goes a bit crazy, he said himself that it does smell of love to him. To me it’s a happy scent, it really puts me in a good mood. I had few compliments from men and women at work when I wore it, it projects beautifully, but it’s not overpowering. It lasts on my skin for over 12 hours. Last time I wore it at around 8am, I came home after a pub crawl at 11pm, took a shower and apparently my partner could still smell it on my neck. Great longevity.

Gourmandivi

This perfume will drive the men crazy!!! Always get SO MUCH compliments from men when I’m wearing this scent. It smells absolutely beautiful, sexy and sophisticated. I’ve been through multiple bottles at this point and I always have it in my collection. It’s fruity but also woodsy, I’d say it’s a very well balanced fragrance that smells unique. Perfect for a dinner or date night.

MyScentBubble

Almost Identical to Rose Of No Man's Land. Lovely perfume but nothing that hasnt been done before. not really my style either but by no means smells bad, it's nice

Jeswes89

Got it from my man on valentines day. It's such a beautiful scent. It's fresh, perfect fruitiness and well balanced with the woodiness. It reminds me of YSL baby doll but more mature version. Love it 🥰☺️
I think this suits all year around.

Nena's Nana

Am I the only one who instantly thought “Dom Rosa” ? To me, this smells like Dom Rosa without the champagne. To me, it smells very niche like. That said, I like this way better than Dom Rosa.

arefuthescroob

Very generic, indistinguishable scent.

layyelisee

Smells of intoxicating blackberry. I was told that I smell “rich” on two separate occasions. Not at all similar to the original gucci guilty. It’s a crowd pleaser and anyone who loves fruity fragrances would enjoy this. It’s not something I’d purchase again because I feel that there’s better perfumes out there but I will enjoy finishing my bottle.

Jezeleah

I always save my sweet fragrances for winter, with mostly a vanilla or tonka bean base. That gets boring after a while. This has deep sexy berries with a woody base, deep enough for fall and winter and a great addition to my cold weather arsenal. Just the slightest bit of sweetness from those berries, as well as some tartness. The cypress note is next level, in fact this fragrance is niche level at a great price. What were Gucci thinking discontinuing this gem, and keeping some really boring offerings?
The only issue I have with this is that the cold weather kind of eats it up! I’ll save it for early spring and fall. It may not be strong enough for New England winters.

Marwa02

I've tried lots of Gucci perfumes and this is the only one I've loved. I absolutely love the compliments I get when I wear this, perfect fragrance for fall/winter and can be worn to everyday places like your office it's definitely not an annoying scent. It smells rich and makes me feel so feminine when I wear it.

miss_aly

Wearing this for the first time today! I blind bought a bottle from Jomashop for an amazing price. It REALLY reminds me of Flowerbomb Midnight by V&R. They both have that same blackberry note and floral/woodsy vibe. Great for the fall and winter time! Longevity and projection is just average, so I'd definitely recommend buying this one from a discount retailer such as Jomashop or Fragrancenet.

dancingdear

Deep, rich, sexy, berries. Cypress and rose rounding it out. Has some warmth to it. I think it can be worn year round but it definitely would accompany a cozy sweater very well.
Not basic. I don’t think it smells like Amethyst or any of the other “reminds me of” suggestions.
Seems like it’s getting harder to find. I hope it isn’t being discontinued.

gourmandgyaani

this is the best Gucci perfume for women of all time. love love love. gothic rose. fully a vibe. have loved this from first sniff when I got my nose on it almost 5 years ago. 1.5 bottles sit with me. will always want this in my collection.

Shokenmo$@711

Pretty! Floral and fruity but not the sweet fruity kind you would smell from today's general women perfumes. This one smells sharp and fresh and floral at the same time. I'm looking to an opportunity to buy one.

Duftminne

On me, this smells like my two favourites Stella and Timbuktu married and had a baby. Medicinal berries and smoky rose. Since Stella is discontinued and Timbuktu is hard to get hold on where I live, I decided to get a full bottle. Is now turning from a 'like' to 'love'. Can't wait to sniff how it performs in autumn and cold winter.

PascalSimon

an interesting blackberry cypress bergamot combination, layered with patchouli. Unique and edgy, smells like a niche fragrance.

chimidoro

For me this is just too basic and linear.
Pepper, berry, patchouli.
Strong and lasting though, I'll give it that.
But it's not my kind of fragrance.
Ten to the dozen....

AnnaMagenta

One of the few designer fragrances I enjoy. Not as much wood in the base as I like but this is a very smooth well-blended patchouli/berries combo with beautiful rose accord in the opening. The dry-down is very feminine. Office safe.

eaudeeve

Androgynous. Patchouli heavy. A skin scent not a clothes scent. Spicy and loud

bloodorangesoda

A smooth, underrated scent consisting of a dark, jammy rose with a smoky backdrop, creating a vintage Parisian nightlife feel. The blackberry and current notes are the most present but vetiver, ambroxan and cedar are also discernable. Longevity is good, as is projection and it lasts ~5hrs. In spite of good performance, it is not overly strong and can be worn even in the summer.

mjmxo

this is a top tier winter fragrance, IMO. Jammy berries + pepper with an earthy piney dry down - sooo lovely with a bit of edginess

MissMarco

This took me some getting used to. To me it's a manly rose blackberry scent. I have gotten sick of patchouli but the patchouli here isn't sickening. Perhaps because of the Amber as well. I find it good for work but also great for nights out. Its definitely unique. I would tag it an unsafe blind buy unless these notes and unisex scents are your jam.

bringprivateaccordback

a rather unique symphony of different scents but I like this a lot! sweeter and fruitier than I expected based on the notes listed here. definitely a bit girlier than the regular guilty edt, but still down to earth. not a skin scent but doesn't overwhelm people around you.

FranziBE

Very unique. I don’t smell this very often in other people so I will probably get a full bottle. I had a decant in my purse and the whole purse smells divine and different. My nose gets all the cypress with the pink pepper .. lovely and definitely unisex!

Atomikbomb_

I thought I would love this judging by the notes, but I was sadly mistaken. I adore Olympic Orchids Blackbird, and I assumed this would be similar, albeit more mainstream.Yet, I actually find that bombastic niche option much more palatable and easier to love than this designer release...go figure.

It opens very harshly with some super astringent cypress/juniper tones (at least the notes make sense). I really don't care for it, it feels very high-pitched and scratchy. The blackberry is drowned up until the 10 minute mark.

As it mellows, some aspects that I enjoy begin to emerge. The rose isn't bad, but I wish there was a little more to balance the bitter woody tone. Patchouli is there, but not a forerunner, and it remains rough in texture into the drydown. The pepper adds to the overall texture.

I find this to be interesting on some levels, but also quite abrasive...surprisingly so actually. I'm not comfortable in it. I think it leans slightly masculine (Who cares? Wear what you like regardless!), but performance is decent.

Dani83

Stunning fragrance smells like Christmas tree and Christmas to me I absolutely love it beautiful

TarahB

Lovely perfume with good lasting power! It’s a blackberry bomb! It does lean a little unisex!
It’s an everyday scent for me!

Cherry_Darling

This is gorgeous, edgy, unique to my nose. Jammy blackberry, realistic fruit, and the pine somehow gives it that unique edge. Woodsy pine needles make it somehow masculine but also not in the usual generic way. Along with the roses, It's really good. Tart, pulpy, juicy, unique. I am however going to come back on the drydown to report as I've been reading some mixed reviews....but opening is a love for me.

Ah ok i see what everyone is talking about. This is a few minute wonder..so not really worth investing into, but the initial burst is a good one! Fun to test. Drydown is a soapy skin scent. Shame!

Tony Shades

Very nice dark fruity blackberry fragrance with a tart sweet flavor. I don't get any particular floral, woody or patchouli notes from it, fortunately. Otherwise it would have been a strong dislike, because I hate such weird combos. Fruity woody is a hit or miss thing.

sarahlovestonka24

This reminds me a lot of Intimacy Pink!

suzanne_ronald

Jammy Blackberry-Rose with Cypress & a Retro Twist...

For those with a nose for detail, this underrated blackberry-cypress scent is a modern interpretation of an old school chypre. Signed by perfumer, Alberto Morillas (Versace Bright Crystal), this composition manages to evoke both modern and vintage perfumery. Opening with a fruity burst of blackberry and cedar-y cypress it transitions to a jammy rose heart on a traditional chypre base of patchouli, bergamot and vetiver. From the opening and into the heart I get a jammy blackberry-rose-chouli with a cypress accent on top. However, as it dries down I get a slight retro twist in the chypre that I'm not sure where it comes from, possibly the vetiver. I've had mine since 2018 and it only gets better with time, both on the skin and in the bottle. Enjoy!

lmnsvgz

Good berry scent but nothing impressive.

soso.sofia

I thought I would be transported into a lush cloud of berries, jammy roses, woods and patchouli. Oh, and that bottle, what a glorious colour, what a rock chic edge. But oh what a disappointment. On myself yes I got a promising sweet berry opening with possible roses if you gave it enough imagination. This did not last long. The promise turned into some kind of putrid synthetic smell, that became faint very quickly and thankfully disappeared into nothingness by the time I got home so I didn't have to bother scrubbing my wrists.

supergirl9412

I was moseying around Ulta, one fragrance in hand and looking at the others. I saw the description under Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme as “blackberry and” … something else. To be honest, I stopped reading/caring after “blackberry” .. that’s all I needed to see. I sprayed it on and got a lot of rich, jammy blackberry. Before I knew it, I picked up a 30mL bottle. I was going to buy it on the spot and not even worry about the drydown, but the rational part of my brain took over and told me to let it marinate. I’m VERY thankful I did. The jammy blackberry is short-lived … afterwards, it’s an absolute cypress bomb that overtakes most of the other notes, and the blackberry only returns in the deep drydown as part of the skin scent. Cypress and other foresty green notes do not do well on my skin; they all turn into isopropyl alcohol. Besides, this cypress is very perfumy, not at all like the fresh, cold, crisp, snowy cypress forest I imagine.

Almost a win, but ultimately not for me.

perfume_angel

This smells just like the colour of the bottle. It smells like a dark mysterious rose with dark syrupy and thick berry compote poured ontop. The rose and woody notes give off a very middle eastern vibe which I love. If you love thick dark middle eastern rose fragrances then you should definitely test this one out. It’s so sexy and sultry and will get you alot of compliments. It also projects really well and has good lasting power. Definitely my favourite fragrance from the house of Gucci. Love love love🥀❤️

Soravit

Wonderful smell, so lovely on skin

Hannehoney

This starts with a very strong berry note, synthetic on my skin. After about 20 minutes all I can smell is rose...I dont get any pink pepper or woodsy notes :( I dont think this is well blended :( The drydown has a dirty earthy patchouli and I had to scrub it off :( I think Midnight Rose from Lancome is a better blended berry-rose scent. This was a fail for me.

ambervxyjul

This is my favorite from the guilty line. It is unisex in the dry down, woodsy with a hint of sweetness. I love the blackberry note.

AshBud

Wow! I am simply in love with this one. Ive been looking for a fall/winter rose and this is the one for me. The blackberry sweetens, and the bergamot mellows. The cypress is intoxicating and brings a very unique element into the picture. I get a bit of an incense vibe, somewhat smokey and powdery. I'm finding it hard to put into words, but it feels vintage and mature. Much like Youth Dew from Estee Lauder, whereas something like Coco Mademoiselle is mature but modern to me. Not for everyone, but special for those few!

looking

Sillage is bad, and it completely fades from my skin withing two hours. This is sweeter than the Gucci Guilty, that "sweet note" (I asume it's the blackberry) gives me a headache and it gives it a bit of a jam smell. A miss, in my opinion

vivalajuju

Gucci missed the mark again. I find this overall to be a lotion-y arabian christmas; on my skin is absolutely divine, very mature and sexy BUT there is a gross note in the projection that I cannot put my finger on.

It ain't yeasty, not salty, not quite savoury... reminds me of the scent of goldfish food (the flakes or pebbles, either or). More precisely, it smells like the cupboard or locker into which you store the box of fish food.

I would really love this bad boy otherwise, but there are too many other holiday babes out there to enjoy.

Juicelove

Gotta give this one some time before making any rush judgments...
Notes are pretty close to what I experienced yet they come in and out throughout it's time on the skin.
It is a scent that sneaks up, surrounds you like a beautiful blanket.
Super perfect for Fall & Winter yet can see this being right for anytime of year.
A great perfume for blending but enjoying it alllll by itself.
So glad I did not return it.

mothtoaflame___

So here we are, if fragrance can be worn as a talisman, this is one of mine. Edgy in a crisp and almost unisex way, obviously very foresty, due to the composition of notes listed. I like it’s mystical vibe - already written about Nomade Absolu that it’s making me feel like a forest nymph - so does Gucci Guilty Absolu Pour Femme.
Well done Gucci.

(Tested)

Corban Lucas

Fruity, floral and medicinal. Not bad at all. It's not so feminine that a man cannot wear...just as long as they're okay with smelling like they just borrowed some hand lotion from the girl who sat next to him in math class.

Eau de Claire

This is my go-to for spring and summer as I wear very woody, heavy perfumes in autumn and winter.
A fruity twist on the kind of perfumes that I absolutely adore.

Upon first spray, this explodes with blackberry, pink pepper and bergamot. Once it dries down you keep the fruit but the rose, wood, amber and patchouli shine.

For someone who loves very light, fruity scents this would be a great option for their evening, autumn and winter wardrobe.

XOXO_marcel

There must be something wrong with me, because this gives me the impression of a bag of stale cheez-its...with grape jelly. Maybe I tested from a bad bottle, but I see that someone else described it as grainy, and on second thought that's exactly what it is.
Not terrible by any means, it definitely has its place, but I'm honestly just confused by it. I want to like it, so I'll have to try it again and see if my opinion changes.

Gracie88

It’s a feminine, sexy, elegant chyphre and reminds me of classic European fragrances rather than the usual fruity florals and gourmands you find everywhere in the US now. It is beauty in a bottle. My problem, once again, is lasting power and projection being not strong enough:-( . Still, I use it for layering and I do love the fragrance. I cannot believe people are saying it's not unique. The grapefruit with wood and amber -- unique.

NoorbBelgium

This fragrance is quite nicely made. On a chilly autumn morning, there is a new blackberry bush that is cold and crisp. Coniferous, cypress, and pine trees surround it in the woodland. Crisp rose and earthy patchouli blend together. This fragrance is crispness characterized with fruit and berry love, and it is completely fresh. bottled sophistication. Very intriguing and beautiful. Longevity is lengthy and medium silage. I enjoy it.

st.tereza

Enchanted blackberry bushes at the edge of a Swan lake in the middle of the night. It evokes fresh, dark, mossy forest dusted with a midnight dew. It's gorgeous, classy, luxurious. Intriguing, intoxicating. The rosie notes are cool and captivating, carried by the lovely blackberry and patchouli tones. I love wearing this scent. Makes me feel mysterious and sexy. It's perfect for late summer & autumn. Lasts for hours and envelopes you just beautifully.

likesleet

this was kind of gray and grainy? a bit weak. blackberries, almost pomegranate.

Andrewthecologneguy

I checked this out because I love GGA pour homme, and at first sniff I was hooked, noting similarities between the two.
But later when I smelled GGA pour femme, it was different than I remembered, so much so that I thought I got a bad or fake sample. Shows how our noses change over time.
This is similar to Louis Vuitton Matière Noire, difference being that the LV contains oud in the base while GGA pour femme doesn't.
This is one to collect and keep...

Carolinefragrance

Gorgeous juicy, uplifting musky berry scent. Signature and all year round worthy. One of my favourite scents for work since it lasts at least 12 hours on my skin. Back up bottle worthy - I’ve already got mine 😊

Likilichi

This fragrance makes my eyes roll to the back of my head.

midnight dot

This fragrance screams old money to me, and to those who disagree, they're wrong. Just kidding.
When I first smelled it, I had to do a double take to be sure I was not imagining it. I will buy it given the opportunity.

Miss Dolittle

Just received her. I likey a lot. It's summer and I'm wearing it now. It's a little fruity, woodsy musky. It reminds me of Elle and Perles De Lalique

jshark7892

This one is incredible. I love this and GGA. Fruit, wood, rose. Its like you're sniffing the most luxurious, dew covered flower ever created in the middle of the night. Ordered a bunch of decants and the box smelled amazing, after a while I figured out it was this one that may have leaked. It's top tier for sure and very unique. You could wear this anytime, although it is a bit heavy. Addicted at first sniff. Im a guy and Id wear this occasionally, would be irresistible on a woman. 9.5/10.

venusbruises

Based on the notes I expected to dislike this fragrance but actually this is surprisingly pleasant! Usually I find both pink pepper and patchouli revolting but I can't really detect either of them on this fragrance. If I found it for a good price, I wouldn't mind owning a small bottle of this.

gourmandgyaani

before i was obsessed with gourmands, i was obsessed with smoky, woody, incensey, dark perfumes. at the peak of my love for woody sexy orientals i smelt this perfume at an airport and i knew i had to have it and bought the smaller bottle right away. this is so beautiful, it's this dark, purple smelling (the bottle is absolutely spot on), berry, woody smell with a hint of rose. everytime i wear this, in my mind a picture is conjured up of taking a walk through a deep, dark and dense forest right after a spell of strong rainfall, the trees and the mud wet and lush and i am being pulled towards the centre of this dark, wet forest on a full moon starry night by the smell of this berry rose which is in full bloom and on the verge of rotting. this is beautiful, lasts fairly long, projects well, my favourite gucci perfume of all time hands down! i hope they never ever discontinue this the way YSL discontinued elle which was also a sexy, dark, purple, woody type scent. this is beautifuuuuuul. love love love

Tunzz

Smells like fermented fruits but in a good way lol. Earthy, fruity, musky, strong. Everyone loves this on me, huge compliment magnet. It’s good but not exactly my cup of tea. I like sweet vanilla scents, this is more so “boss babe” style.

mrshnchnkm

At first it smells like orbit wildberry remix gum. After a couple of hours, it becomes thicker and warmer, the smell of roses comes first. And in an hour the rose fades into the background and transforms into a soft, smoky wood and sweet patchouli. The longevity is really good.

And it's very similar to Criminal of Love By Kilian, but without honey note.

Dzehnie

This really reminds me of those old school pine tree air fresheners that were hung. As many have stated below, it's not a bad smell but not memorable.

realitygreene

A friend of mine wanted to try this fragrance because the notes intrigued her and as a reward for surviving her harder-than-it-should-be Geology class, I bought her a sample off Ebay. Actually I bought two samples, one for her and one for me! She tried this fragrance out a few weeks ago, but I had quite a few other fragrance samples that were more of a priority at the time. I finally got around to trying Guilty Absolute Pour Femme today because it just felt like the perfect time to try it - It's pretty cold out (36 degrees F here in Nebraska) and I am feeling the whole aesthetic of what this fragrance promises. Today was the day!!

Sadly, I don't really love this fragrance. It's not absolutely terrible by any means, but it's not particularly artful to me. I sprayed my sample a few times on each arm/wrist and was hit was a very stereotypical "perfume" scent that just felt heavy. I sadly didn't get any of the blackberry which was the whole reason I wanted to test this fragrance out. It's taken about an hour for this fragrance to "calm down" a bit, but even so all I can smell is the rose and patchouli. It's not that that is a bad thing, I'm just not particularly impressed by it after having sampled so many heavy rose + patchouli fragrances recently. (My favorite, as I've mentioned in about 5 recent reviews, is Juliette Has a Gun Mad Madame) Also, it truly was disappointing that I didn't get any of the blackberry.

I'll keep my sample and try it out again (maybe on a night out or on a day/night where the weather is a tad warmer) to see if that helps.

Okay, it's been about two hours now and I can smell a bit of the blackberry. I also get the cypress I think - it's definitely a green woody note. And, of course, the rose and patchouli are the most dominant notes. I think I maintain my original assessment - as a blackberry perfume it's a bit of a disappointment, as a rose & patchouli perfume it just doesn't measure up to Mad Madame.

Hopefully I can find a new bottle for cheap to get for my friend for her birthday because she really really likes this!

100LL

Smells like what you imagine the Perfume Aisle to smell like. A very stereotypical Perfume™ scent, but a pleasant and well executed one.
The perfume itself is not at all soapy, but for some reason this triggers my scent memory of being in a hotel with my family as a child, and using the fancy soaps there. A nice scent, not soft but still comforting.

LSAUG

This Gucci Guilty flanker is Guilty of being boring. A basic berry/rose scent w/ slight woodiness. Not horrid but basic. Would be office friendly, this a very non offensive scent that most anyone would be ok w/ but it isn't very memorable.

Nonosebarred

I wanted to purchase this fragrance because it is one of the first fragrances I discovered on my own and enjoyed. However, I bought Byredo's Rose of No Man's Land before getting around to purchase this and now I have two scents that are practically identical. I knew RONML reminded me of this scent and I saw a review that agreed but I thought they would be different enough when compared side by side. They are not. This is SLIGHTLY more woody on dry down but that's pretty much it. Both pleasant fragrances that make rose delightful when I usually steer away. Powdery, sweet woodiness that can be worn as a refreshing floral.

ameda

A deep muscular rose fragrance enhanced with ripe juicy blackberry. Strong cypress, patchouli and cedarwood in the base steer this toward the masculino side of gender neutral, in my opinion. I don't find GGAPF challenging, overbearing, or experimental, but the lack of femme signifiers (the ubiquitous 'white florals') may not appeal to some. Reminds me of Azzaro Acteur (winey) and Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir (fruity), but more appealing than either, owing to an attractive tart spicy amber dry down those lack. I see myself using GGAPF sometimes in place of TF Noir de Noir, as it scratches the rose/patchouli itch without bringing so much heavy darkness. Unlike NdN, this does not project or last well on my skin for an EDP, but the scent is unique and distinctive (and inexpensive) enough to excuse middling performance. I should probably pick up a bottle or two before it gets scarce.

I really enjoy this fragrance. When Iwear this fragrance, I can imagine walking through an enchanted forest of tall pine trees surrounded in fog with small sprinkles of rain coming down and landing on the leaves and berries of the black berry bushes surrounding you. Truly magical spring fragrance🌲🌲

ScentedPlaza

Had it in my collection for few years, used to challenge myself with it :) Great for cold weather, autumn/winter. It's a strange one at first, but quite addicting, unique and theatrical! Has a bold personality on it's own & feels niche. Now it's discontinued, but I found a "dupe" for myself with a similar vibe - "La Panthere" Eau de Toilette by Cartier.

juliabee

Fresh pine, burst cranberries, crisp winter air, frosted bark, red roses, hot blackberry tea, silver glitter. This scent is Christmas morning personified, those still and special first hours before presents are unwrapped and the world is at peace.

fairycoffins

This was a blind buy for me, based on the notes. And while I think it’s a beautiful scent, I don’t think I would repurchase. The longevity and sillage are pretty decent, though. To me this doesn’t smell at all like the original Gucci Guilty pour Femme, despite having several of the same notes (they traded the mandarin for blackberry here, and swapped out many of the floral notes — all but rose — for woods and vetiver, but the base notes are the same.) After the blackberry fades, my nose picks up the cypress, rose, and patchouli above all else. And they don’t seem to play very well together for a while; it’s as if they’re fighting each other for attention instead of blending well. Still, after the drydown it starts to wear a bit better. I definitely get Victorian goth vibes from this one. It’s just hard to stomach the rose-patchouli battle to get to the good part. If I could go back in time, I’d have bought this one in a travel size, and gotten the full size of the original. Oh well. At least it’s not awful, but I do think I prefer Lady Vengeance by Juliette Has a Gun when I need my rose fix.

ILikeSmellingNice

I'm so proud of our Bulgarian Rose. Just bought the male version and saw the female here and wanted to take a look. Got surprised to see Bulgarian rose. I have to try it.

antfarm

This is one of the best recent releases. I tried this in an Ulta, and was shocked at how distinctive and original it was. I detected mainly juicy dark blackberries growing in a fairytale forest, an enchanting bush of roses, and a patchouli that had an anise-like quality. It is a great unisex option. The herbal edge gives it a hint of masculinity. The smell fits perfectly with the bottle. Dark witchy potion vibes, but not overly "natural". More like super stylish witches with black crocodile Gucci bags full of herbs. Will not please everyone, but for those of us who it does, let's start a coven and throw blackberries into a cauldron. Let's all dance around the fire and drink to Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme while smelling sexy and mysterious.

bug.juice.184

Really great, a bit theatrical scent, long lasting, beautiful in all stages. I would love it totally, except there is a rose in it, which spoiles it, for me. I am imagining, if there was the exact version, but with frangipani or karo-karounde instead of rose, this would be my fav.

Pixiigirl

This is such an amazing flanker! You can still smell the original Guilty in this because they’ve kept the base notes the same as well as the pink pepper in the top, but everything else has been changed. I love this scent so much, it smells expensive and classy. The berries add just enough sweetness to balance out the green and woody notes. I managed to get this perfume in the clearance sale at Boots in the UK which I’m so happy about but I just hope that it doesn’t mean this scent is being discontinued! If you’re a huge fan of this maybe buy a back up just in case.

Perfumemakesmehappy

Yes, this is lovely, that Niche pArfum that you wish wasn’t so strong to wear in the office!! This is it!! Lovely, Rose, woody, and yet light hearted enough to wear everyday in the office! Love this sentuall perfume that isn’t too strong!! Roses and woody and not to heavy!! This is very nice!

Dani C.

There is something truly special about this fragrance. It is intoxicating and not overly sweet, a perfect blend of bittersweet berries, fresh roses and woods.

In the opening, I get that sweet blackberry. The sweetness comes with a bitter note that balances out any jam feeling. As it dries down the rose and wood come alive. A soft Bulgarian rose lies down on a dominant woody bed. It sounds a bit masculine and it is, and that's what I enjoy so much about it. Gucci Absolute pour femme it’s not your girly girl scent. She minds business, she is strong, unconventional and knows what she wants. This is could easily be my signature scent. Just Lovely ❤️

Ruby Galore

It is very similar to Florabotanica. Vetiver and rose. Florabotanica has mint, this one has cypress, and it may be a little woodier and more fruity, but they are similar.
Everything is strong and rose and blackberry and vetiver, but the perfume is simple, cool, fresh, fruity, with a rose and a bit of woody bitterness.

lifnisanders

my first designer perfume, finished a bottle and i remembered like how it smells but the performance was really weak even when i overspray it didnt last long.

Ajaycheshire

Love at first sniff. This is a winner! Hallelujah......Chypre! Chypre is back with a modern twist. I'm currently at the airport with my Balmain blazer with gold buttons,it has a nod to the 80,s but is beautifully styled for today. This scent fits my outfit perfectly. I used to wear blazers and aromatic perfumes in the 80,s and with Giorgio Beverly Hills, everyone knew I'd arrived before I was there! This is more subtle but with all the elements I adore. Well done Gucci! This is a winner and I can see I'll be wearing this for years. It's super classy and very elegant.

audreysoccer

Not a fragrance counisseur, but I'm ready to move to some more mature scents and this is more that way with the woody notes. I'm 37. I am getting over the light fruity scents. This defintely has more depth and I like that it leans unisex, I can't tolerate that over sweet smell anymore. So it starts with berries but goes into rose/woody. Very nice.

Aromantra

Took me a while to finally get this, and as a fan of both chypres and of Morillas' work, it did not disappoint. It's sort of a cousin to YSL's Elle. Fruity, woody and feminine with a sexy edge. The opening has a quirky (and thankfully fleeting) sour animalic note that lasts 3 seconds, but it mellows out into a lovely smooth woody-earthy-berry delight. This is not a teenager's berry fest, but a sophisticated fruity chypre that is both sensual and elegant.

It almost has a pheromonic quality and is also quite uplifting/confidence-boosting. It will have you sniffing your arm constantly. Lasting power is 4-6 hours but it lasts a couple of days on clothing. A modern classic that could work well for any woman & any season.

evarosa

I always think that Gucci fragrances are kind of good but not really me. Then I saw the Guilty Absolue recommended on this forum or Youtube or something and decided to spritz it at the department store. I was persuaded by the drydown and purchased a bottle.

The first 15min are really sweet red berries and absolutely not my style. After that the charming woody drydown comes out. It is fresh from vetiver and greenish from cypress. I associated the scent to going to the beach by the Mediterranean because of pinetrees but I also see that people find this Christmassy which also makes sense.

Happy to find this unusually woody perfume targeted to women in the mass market! Of course men can easily wear this as well.

Lasting power is weak!

Project Nostalgia

Big hit of juicy berries cut through with a clean woody note - this is outstanding.

It is sweet but not too sweet. This errs on the unisex category for me - this would smell equally as gorgeous on a man.

It also performs well in the heat - it doesn't overwhelm but you will definitely get noticed wearing this.

Emera1d

Strong syrupy forest fruity smell at first ( assume that's the blackberry and pink pepper) then in about 30 min becomes a still sweet woody scent. More fruity sweet than woody, not bad but not the deep forest smell I was looking for.
Edit: I finished my sample and kept thinking about it, so ended up getting a large bottle and now I love it. Mouth-wateringly juicy berries, fresh and woody, with very little sweetness. It is a very atmospheric scent. After wearing it for a few days I kept thinking it reminded me of something I used to wear and finally figured it out-Elle by YSL. And checking here, I am not the only one who has noticed it! They are both fruity perfumes and share pink pepper, rose and patchouli. I think the pink pepper and rose combo is identical in both, but GG Absolute is fresh, juicy fruity and YSL Elle is syrupy sweet fruity. Dry downs are completely different, but I feel like they can be flankers of the same perfume and they are both gorgeous scents. I will definitely be looking to get back up bottles of GG Absolute as it makes me feels like I am somewhere wild, out in the woods when I wear it. Totally get the "picking berries in the enchanted forest" comments now!

jordandeearn

Rich, warm and lovely. It is berries but also something a little spiced. I think it smells like the colour of the bottle, that purple/red/burgundy tone, and I like to wear it when I wear clothes in that colour palette too. Feels grown up and sophisticated, but also still approachable and appropriate for regular wear, equally suitable for day or night.

LaurelDeLasMontanas

I am now in my late 20's and usually wore sweeter smelling perfumes (think Ariana Grande "Sweet Like Candy") but this was the first perfume I bought that felt more "grown up" without being "too mature." To me it is a deep, dark berry scent, kind of woody, only slightly rosy, more sweet than spicy but not saccharine. It lasts long and I can smell it on clothing or pillows a day or two after I wear it. Great for nighttime but I wear it all day. In the winter and fall it is warm, comforting and sweet sprayed on a cozy sweater or scarf. On especially hot summer nights, it is very sexy, sultry, warm and fruity sprayed on slightly sweaty skin. It can be a little overwhelming if you use too much. It is versatile; cozy yet professional yet sexy. All around it is my favorite scent I own!

Aveline

Unisex berries but not particularly naturalistic. I'd say it starts out more femme whereas the base reveals an earthiness reminiscent of scents labeled for men. Very strong on me; I sprayed some yesterday and it's still detectable on the lounge clothes I threw on later. I'm very patchouli sensitive and I found it quite noticeable here, especially in the dry down. Just alright for me.

Perfumelady88

Went to Ulta and sprayed this on my arm. The scent was beautiful. I walked to a shop next door for about 10 minutes then drove 15 minutes home. By then the scent was gone! It was like I never even sprayed the perfume. It was all gone within 30 minutes. This fragrance is very disappointing. I would never invest in a travel size or a full size. This perfume cost way too much to be gone in 30 minutes!

RainbowGirl

I love this enchanting fragrance.

The opening is a very deep delicious blackberry. Simular to Lancome Amethyst, but that fragrance was a hint soapy, and didn't last a hot minute.

Gucci Guilty Absolute has this beautiful mix of blackberry, cypress, and woody notes, that smell like a dark magical forrest.

I understand some reviewers not getting the wood notes. The wood was stronger on the card, but I do get a hint of wood on my skin, under the blackberry and cypress, and I do smell wood in the sweet scent aura around me.

The cypress is everything in this perfume. It's fresh, and earthy, and keeps this from being just another boring sweet berry.

I imagine this is what a woodland pixie would smell like. Mischievous wood with wet moss and berries.

Projection and lasting are not great, but it does give me a scent aura, and I would not mind reapplying this one throughout the day, as it is unoffensive.

In the end, I would mostly wear this one at bedtime, to dream of fairies, sprites, and dark forests full of adventure.

Agnes81

This is a big sirupy fruity rose on my skin. Almost no woods at all. I like it but I miss the wood that everyone else seems to get. I think this is a very well done fruity floral. Well blended, not cloying and it has depth. If you like fruity florals I definitely recommend it. But for me it lacks something to juxtapose the juicy sweetness.

milkyjoa

Wow, this is a very strong fragrance. The scent is overwhelmingly woody, but I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. The woody notes are very realistic and perhaps some of the most evocative I've smelled. It's too woody for me personally, but someone looking for an antique wood smell would enjoy this.

There's something very intriguing about Guilty Absolute. To be honest, it smells like an old wooden chest containing vintage garments and dried flowers. The dry down actually smells like a dustier version of JM Velvet Oud & Rose. It's just so atmospheric in a haunted Victorian parlor way. I think that's why I can appreciate it but could never wear it myself.

AA4102

This reminds me of MFK Oud Satin Mood. I really like this. I'm a guy, and I'm obsessed.

Edit: Ok, I see ppl voting Portrait Of A Lady as similar scent, and POAL also smells like Oud Satin Mood imo — now I see why this reminded me of that. They're not same-same, given the price differences, but more like a very light version of the expensive ones I just mentioned.

mikestro

This is just elegant, bold, glorious and almost masculine enough for me to wear. I bought a small sample and tested on my skin for a few days because a youtube reviewer said it was unisex. Almost, but that bombastic, bold rose, which gives the fragrance its character, leans it more feminine to me. The woody and fruity/ambery notes are just so good and well blended and warm.

Thus just smells like a monied, take charge maturish woman; I could imagine that the Baroness from the new Cruella movie, would wear this.

marco_m

Usually I hate rose on my skin. However, I love a dark dark berry (peep my signature fragrance). The blackberry is wet and juicy, and it completely diffuses the harshness of the rose. Thank god. I enjoy the opening quite a bit for this reason. The blackberry is pulled off with skill.

This is a very thick rose scent on me, but not thick in the heady floral sort way (how rose tends to wear on me). The rose here is sweet more than anything; syrupy! The next word that comes to mind is boozy. And this is where the fragrance settles after a while: a sweet, boozy rose. I want to again emphasize the wetness. Another boozy rose that has been in my frag rotation over the years is Nirvana Rose, but the Gucci is distinct from it because it is so wet and juicy. It's pretty interesting, and I can't think of another rose-forward frag that dries the way this one does.

I don't think I would wear it myself (I've realized that I just don't like rose in any iteration). But I totally recommend giving it a try if the notes interest you. It performs like any other thick frag in this price level; think the Tom Ford sephora selections... You can smell it waft around you throughout the day (the wafts are dark and sweet to the nose). Other's have noticed when I wear it, but it didn't exactly elicit complements. "Oh, I can smell you are wearing perfume," sort of reactions. But this doesn't surprise me: rose has fallen out of popular favor, I think.

Overall, this one is worth checking out if you are a romantic goth type. Or if you are queer and enjoy reading the Brontes. Or if you just like a wet, fruity rose. Happy sniffing!!

TheFl0rist

The opening smells like rotten berries which doesn’t last more than a minute. Then I smell a beautiful well blended complex scent, I get roses prominently with flawlessly blended fruits.
It fades pretty quickly, within 2 hours leaves a nasty pungent patchouli on my skin.
Not full bottle worthy, there are many better blends out there at this price point. A clear PASS.

ivanda

Delicious, sharp, classy and elegant. Love woody notes mixed with rose with that Blackberry and bergamotte layer overall. Would not recommend as a blind buy but definitely worth to try. Pretty loud and smells expensive. 30+ age for sure. Could be worn as unisex. Agree it would be better wearable when cold weather or special occasions like theathre, opera, restaurant when you want to feel extra stunning and confident.

NDStars

First blast of sweet orange, tingly pink pepper, and warm musk. Nicely sweet and fruity with some depth. After a minute, the scent steps into the shadows a bit, with darker purple fruit sweetness and amber. I rather like it actually but it's fading pretty fast from my skin. Not getting any of the woody note quite yet but I'll keep my nose on it. Projection is just about arms length. Unisex but leans feminine and best for all weather, methinks.

6+ hours later: The scent stayed on that purple fruit sweet scent and the vetiver came around to play too. They're all sticking but faintly.

imoore

It can be called unisex after the first two hours. It deserves a little black dress and hight hills or from guys a taxido. Excellent opera house goer for Wagner, no need to reapply.

Juliusq75

I got my current bottle 5-6 years ago and liked it, but had to be selective about wearing it bc it is strong (cold weather only please), and had a bit of sharpness too it, I recall it as a strong clove note, but don't see cloves listed. In any case, it got pushed to the back of the pack and was also living a hard life in my bathroom with heat changes etc. Just gave it a sniff tonight and it has mellowed considerably! I am loving this as a stronger blackberry scent and mucccch less sharpness. I am missing the cypress a bit.

Comparisons to Enchanted Forest are wayyy off. GGA is spicy and masculine/unisex, very in your face. Enchanted Forest is wet, pine, blackberry and green leaves (cassis), softer and more straightforward than GGA. I love both of them in very different ways because they are very different types of scents, not a good comparison at all. EF isn't feminine per say, but compared to GGA it is much more so. Both are great Christmas scents, I live that connection.

gpaisley

Gucci Guilty Absolute pour Femme Gucci is a gorgeous fruitchouli, syrupy, rose, oudy fragrance - and the dry down reminds me of Parfums De Marly Delina Exclusif as well as L'Extase Rose Absolue by Nina Ricci.

sharon.ceskowski

It smells like Christmas!!!

steph0105

I can't believe I almost de-cluttered this. I love it now. It's a woody rose fragrance. It's not too sweet but it's not too woody either; the patchouli gives it an earthiness as well.

maxinese

Smells to me like a more unisex version of the Parisienne by YSL, which reminds me of my mom. I love this one more for myself

Ectj90

I love it! It’s the perfect combination, is not sweet that you will call it a sweet perfume , not too woody even though you can pick the woody notes it blends beautifully. To me this is unisex

Murmur123123

I blind bought this based on some good reviews and did not know exactly what to expect. It is to me a grown-up's sweet fruity scent with a woody base to ground it. It remains sweet in the dry down with a slight "make-upy" feel to me, but not in a cloying or unpleasant way. For its sweetness I would not wear it in hot summer. Overall it is a good addition to my perfume collection which is predominantly floral and woody.

lmwimsatt

This would be perfect if it were a bit less sweet. Although the sweetness just adds to the xmas feel. This is my xmas signature.

annxyz

Wow ! This is distinctive, slightly edgy and not demure . It is really one of a kind and quite sexy and bold . If you want something that does not smell like another cupcake or praline fume, be sure to try this . It has a sultry presence and is a standout scent with good longevity . Unisex in my opinion .

carlahoffman

Love love love this scent , it's like I uncovered a hidden gem !! The luscious smell of berries mixed with a woody undertones is hypnotic. The notes used mix and blend into a uplifting perfume that screams out sensuality and romance: it is very long lasting over 12 hours for me.
I has a very good sillage combine with the long lasting strong makes for a good buy. It is also a scent that does smell good on a man for I tested it on my husband, I guess I will have to share it.
This perfume has it all a luscious berries, lovely florals and sensual amber notes and patchouli.

This scent is so alluring and seductive, it is deep blackberry tart, that is not too sweet. Best for night use, date worthy my man loves it on me and I enjoy it on him. If you don't like black berries I wouldn't buy it unless you can sample it first.

lapis1227

Very unisex, a man could wear this for sure. Love the woody cypress of the dry down. Very sophisticated and classy, plus the blackberry is dreamy. Full bottle purchase worthy.

Arunas.K

Interesting fragrance.

A friend of mine has it and I sprayed it on my wrist. As a male I was surprised that this fragrance is marketed as a "woman's" fragrance, as it is highly unisex.

It is a dark, slightly vulgar (in expensive way) fragrance with notes of rose, patchouli and some woods and grass. It is a bit sour to my taste, that's where the "body odour" feeling comes in.

It is stated in the database that one of the more interesting notes here is blackberry. I tend to disagree as for me personally cranberries come into mind. When my friend asked me what I imagine after smelling it I told her that I sense a swamp, and a powdery wooden "house of pleasures". I think I would like to stay with that description.

Works as a decent evening fragrance with above average longevity, silage. Would not work well as a day fragrance in a hot climate. Has almost "niche" feeling to it.

Overall 8/10 as an evening, romantic fragrance.

Allen-at-home

As a man, I've wanted to try Gucci Guilty Absolute pour Femme for awhile now, because of that blackberry note, so I finally ordered a sample. I wore it today, but my skin isn't reliable. At all. Fragrance seems to turn sour on it, so I sprayed on fabric, and here's what I think about it. Very nice. That unsweetened blackberry is prominent, as another reviewer called it, "herbal blackberry". In fact, the blackberry, cypress, and rose are MAGIC together! And it isn't TOO rosy because the tart blackberry with cypress keeps it from being too floral. It's slightly musky, but the musk isn't too strong (I generally hate musk, but not here). And the blackberry isn't too feminine or sugary, but "au naturel". So men, don't be afraid to try; as others have said, it really should have been marketed as unisex. I wish it did better on my skin, but I don't blame Gucci for that. Even so, I am considering a full bottle, and I RARELY buy a full bottle of anything. But I think I love this! :-O EDIT - What a difference a couple of weeks makes! I wore this today... (my plan was to wear my sample today, and buy a full bottle this weekend.) But I wore it today and all I can smell is roses, roses, roses. WHERE did that awesome berry/cypress combo go? I admit my skin doesn't like frags, but this is too much. I THOUGHT I found a new favorite, but the search for a new berry favorite continues. EDIT AGAIN - Wearing it again, and I think it's very pleasant. Not sure WHY, the last time I wore it, all I could smell was roses.

BMac99

Love. Exudes sex appeal. I liken it to a dirty rose. When I say dirty I don’t mean it literally. It has attitude, it’s not beautiful in the classic sense. It’s beautiful because it has personality. Certainly feminine but has a good amount of testosterone. It’s definitely a staple for a very flirty night out.

mancay666

as a man, i really love this perfume used by women. perfect scent for perfect women. mature, smart, easy going, cheerful, seductive, sexy. i know, its complex right? yea, that is what i smell. i can have all types of women.
maybe its because the woodiness for business, the fruity fresh for play, and the rose, the sweetness made for lust and desire.

beast performance for me. the scent keep hugging my jacket for 2 weeks in closet! this is insane. and if u use the set gga femme (the shower gel and body lotion perfume), i guess u dont need bath for 2 days! lol

signature scent, all occasion, best neutral weather, but all weather its great for this. blind buy? absolutely for women or a man who has feminist side.

Kenudigme

I’ve already commented on this fragrance but I want to touch on it again in regards to it being considered unisex. This fragrance is more woody in warmer weather ...which makes it lean more masculine / unisex. Please be careful wearing in warm weather because it can be a bit cloying to most ppl. As a man who’s not a huge fan of fem leaning frags, I don’t wear this in the colder seasons because in the colder seasons it’s feminine and it remains feminine throughout the entire wearing ( on my skin ).

hinokiki

Love love looooooooove this. Makes me think of picking berries in a dark, dense fairytale forest. The burgundy color of the bottle is appropriate, and I also get a sense of shadowy blue-greens with a rich, dark chocolate brown. On me, the berry projects a lot, and the woody and amber notes stay closer to the skin. Skews unisex.

shadaroba

I got a sample of GGA the other day and I enjoyed smelling it since the first time I sprayed it. The first minutes you feel the berries, really beautiful. Then it dries down to a more sophisticated, woody fragrance. My partner says it’s “unbearable” at the beginning, but I don’t see it that way. I think it’s suitable for a +30 confident woman during winter/autumn night time. In my opinion, this would be too much for daytime but maybe some of you may pull it off.
It is a “strong” perfume, yes. Is it headache-inducing like “pleasures”, “anais anais”, “gucci bloom”? NO! (opinion coming from a woman who loves fresh fragrances!)
I also don't think it's a safe blind buy. Try before you buy it.
To me this perfume screams:
- SOPHISTICATION - WOODINESS - FEMININITY

LightOfJoy

Imagine a rich velvet petaled rose, furry oakmoss, crisp woods, smooth vetiver, herbal blackberry with leaves. There is a lot going on in this complex fragrance, but it tells a story and is not haphazard.

The bottle is reflective of the fragrance, but the name doesn’t make any sense. GGApF reminds me of an Amouage, it’s well made and I respect it, but it has too much texture for me personally. Notes perceived but not listed are oakmoss, along with the tiniest bit of Ambroxan or similar, but certainly tolerable, even for me.

Mammuchan

One day I woke up and I had a craving for a cypress type scent (I think I was missing the original Radox formula). It was pure luck that within a week or two of that I tested this just because I hadn’t seen it before, and I felt like I hit the jackpot. Blackberry and cypress combined here by the legendary Alberto Morillas is sumptuous and wonderful. Longevity is superb. I have tried to convince my husband to wear this as it’s easily Unisex. Actually as it progresses it tends more to the Masculine side, which I love. I think it is when you reach the Vetiver note. I love it most at night, and I often wear it to bed. Lastly, I know others have said it’s not the most inspired bottle design, but actually when you hold it is your hand it has a lovely solid feel, and colour of the glass is a lot more beautiful when viewed in person. It’s a winner 💜❤️

tessture

Blackberrries that aren’t too sweet, woody notes, faint spiky green. Seems very simple, but smoothly blended and pleasant. The blackberry definitely stands out with a tiny hint of rose backing and strong wood. I don’t get Christmas trees or cypress like others report, but a woody blackberry with perfume notes. I like it a lot, though on some days the wood takes on a shrieky edge. Very strong woody notes, but I do love that blackberry and greens feeling.

lorihollie

Just got my bottle and I absolutely love it! It's like a fruity/berry fragrance for grown ups! I would not call this a sweet fragrance but it does have some sweetness to it - just perfect. Initial opening is more unisex, however dry down is definitely more feminine. A fantastic creation by Morillas.

Longevity could be better, therefore I would give it an overall 9/10.

Gucci better than Lalique
________________

Yes… there is a great similarity between Gucci Guilty Absolute and Lalique Amethyst.
- Amethyst is playful and fruity; the mulberry and the blackberry bringing out the jolly nature in a woman's character.
- Gucci Guilty Absolute has that and adds a powerful cypress-note and more rose (than Amethyst has), bringing depth and gravitas to this fragrance, for it aims at the more mature character in women. This is a magnificent fragrance of a profund extend, which only a master perfumer of Mr. Morrillas’ expertise could create.

To compare the 2 fragrance would only do both of them injustice, because each of them aims at another clientele.

The Niche Edit

I was gifted a bottle of this fragrance and although I liked the cold weather, juicy blackberry opening but I soon got tired of the over-bearing patchouli in the dry down.

On my skin I do get cypress after a while but unfortunately the patchouli is too much for me. It smells like a musty old attic or room in your grandparents house, not an earthy, hippy type of patchouli.

I had to give this bottle away. Shame because it had potential to be more.

baerro

When I sprayed my sample card, I paused. The initial cologne blast was very reminiscent of opening accords I've found in men's designer releases (e.g. "Cool Water"). I double-checked the card, and indeed, it said "Pour Femme," but I still gave it the side-eye and wondered what kind of beast the "Pour Homme" must be like if this was the "Pour Femme."

But the "men's cologne" accord didn't stay. After a couple minutes it evaporated and left behind... forest berries. Lush, juicy, unsweetened forest berries - in an alpine wood. I was shocked at how gorgeous it was, and this time checked the card again to see that it was a designer release and not a niche product. I eagerly sprayed the insides of my elbows (where I usually apply perfume) and this time skipped the "men's cologne" opening - because this performs better on skin than cards / fabric. Lasts about 6 hours, with the blackberries and cypress being the most prominent notes, followed by pink pepper. (And if something is going to be "woody" in a fragrance, I prefer coniferous accords to all the others, except maybe oud.)

frag-overdose

Surprise, surprise! I just couldn’t resist the musky, woody berries in Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme. It reminds me of the rosy-berry, pink peppercorn-like quality in YSL Elle which I enjoy drenching myself in but woodier, muskier and earthier, and honestly, I don’t really know how to explain why I love this so much, it’s just happen to be so.

lady_ireth264

How is it possible that people say it smells masculine?

For me it starts with a blast of minty berries, fresh and luscious. Then I can smell deep dark rose, super gorgeous! The rose here is in the same vibe of one of my faves from Givenchy, Irresistible L'intense. Not at all girly. It's sultry and dangerous.
I'm enjoying the trend of amber drydown nowadays as I recently purchased Chanel Coco. The amber in there slightly sweet but not pronounced. It's all about the dark rose and minty berries. It stays well behaved in hot weather too as I walked out for lunch. I'm in love.
I'm glad it works for me!

Anjolena

I wanted to smell like an enchanted evergreen forest, but this was too cypress-y even for ME... It's immediately resin-y, and the cypress is more thyme-y in the beginning. It dries down to a more fabric softener scent.

The rose does not feminize this fragrance. It is not feminine AT ALL to me. No idea why it's even called "pour femme", because it smells extremely unisex. From the blackberry I'm ONLY getting TARTNESS. It's hard to find sweetness in it.

Sometimes the wafts of this fragrance are fresh and sophisticated. Sometimes the tartness is overwhelming; especially at the beginning. It's definitely taking me some time to get used to overall. I'm more likely to wear this just for me to smell on myself at home when I'm in a certain mood for it, because to other people I'd rather smell a lot more feminine.

I used to have the Preferred Fragrance knock off version of this, and it's pretty similar, except the knock-off was a little stronger in the thyme-y note, black currant instead of blackberry, and I don't remember it being as strongly TART, but it still became "fabric softener-y"..... Except for the Gucci brand's being so tart, I would say it's only slightly more balanced. I really actually expected a lot more.

I barely have anything in my collection that I could layer this with to sweeten it in the right way.... Y'all... I tried to layer this with "Alien" 😂. It started to smell like tuberose and my Gloria Vanderbilt "Minuit À New York" somehow. Then it dried down to somehow smell cheap 🤣😭

Berries and I don't get along. Time after time I'm proven that berry-strong scents turn foul on me, like onion-sweat. HOWEVER, they smell beautiful on my husband! It must be skin chemistry or temperature or whatever, but this scent smells so different on him! It's absolutely unisex, and even masculine leaning (or rather, the kind that my husband would love to wear, as he likes sweeter masculine scents).

I'm happy my husband can enjoy the small decant I have of this (and it suits him so well), but it smells absolutely horrible and sweaty on me. It's amazing how the same fragrance can smell so different on other people.

As a man I’ve owned GGPF for 2 years now. I have worn it thru all the seasons. Spring is the only season in which this fragrance works for me. In the Winter, that feminine sweet opening sticks around much longer in the duration, which may be awesome for a woman but not ideal for most men. In the Spring is when GGPF gets more masculine leaning and woody - it’s beautiful. In the summer it’s simply too heavy for hot weather. It’s such a spring time gem 💎 that I have to keep a bottle in my collection.

I was about to blind buy this perfume online. Thank God I tested it in the perfume counter at the mall first. Yes, this smells like Lalique Amethyste which I am not a fan of.

Really masterpiece, one of the best I ever smell, as always Mr. Morillas design is perfect, smell of fruit at the beginning, cypress and wood at middle and end, really lovely and special.

Rkzz84

Tried this at Myers wasn’t sure at first but it did grow on me and I fell in love really want to purchase it just not sure if I prefer the Lancôme idol instead. It’s dark mysterious vintage and I don’t really get a masculine scent like everyone else but I would say it defiantly does work for powerful personality’s which is what I love about it. Has a don’t mess with me kinda feel.

Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme EDP opens with a moderate projection of sweet, fruity, floral, woody, and spicy accords. The opening is fresh, bright, aromatic, well-balanced, and very pleasant. The blackberry and bergamot create a fruity note, the bergamot sharpens the sweet, tangy, and fruity notes of the blackberry; closeby and leveled with blackberry and bergamot is the rose note, floral aromatic, slightly powdery and sweet. The pink pepper is a soft spicy touch. The cypress and woody notes are supporting accords, noticeable, at least initially; similarly, the vetiver and patchouli are just a soft green touch. The amber creates a soft powdery projecting accord. The fragrance has some subtle but noticeable opening to dry-down changes. The bergamot is sharp during the opening and brightens all other notes but it loses some projection towards the dry-down; the cypress is more noticeable towards the opening, whereas, the woody notes towards the dry-down, the amber develops a soft powdery and projecting note; also, the fragrance loses some intensity, it takes one step down from moderate to moderate to low. Once Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme EDT reaches its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate to low projection, slightly powdery, sweet, blackberry, rose, and woody fragrance with some spicy and green accords. The fragrance feels airy, aromatic, clean, comforting, delicate, elegant, feminine, floral, fresh, fruity, gentle, inviting, light, mature, sweet, versatile, white, woody, and pleasant.

This reminds me of my childhood in the countryside of Oregon. Picking blackberries from the huge bushes in our yard and roaming through the woods all day with my brother and cousin.
It's a very beautiful, sophisticated and sultry perfume. Dark but still fresh. I get mostly blackberries and cypress with whiffs of rose and patchouli, but everything else is seamlessly blended to my nose. Unisex for sure. I don't detect anything particularly masculine nor feminine in this. I definitely agree with this smelling more like a niche perfume as it's quite different from anything you can find at sephora or ulta. I usually do not like most modern, mainstream fruity fragrances, but this is a treasure! I have nothing like it in my collection and it's great when I want a change from my favorite old-school Guerlain fragrances.

WildDove

I received a sample of Gucci Guilty Absolute pour Femme from Sephora. The cypress dominates on me, followed by the woody notes, then the patchouli and vetiver. It smells masculine to me, maybe unisex for sporting occasions in the great outdoors. Even then, I didn't like the final drydown which persisted well into the next morning and next day.. A definite "pass" for me.

peonies and musk

Smells similar to Tom Ford White Patchouli, but with a more feminine touch. It also reminds me a tad of Cartier Le Panthere. Unique but I can see it being easily likeable amongst a wide audience. With that said, it is not a safe blind buy because of it's strangeness

Please PM me if you'd like to trade/swap! I bought this last week (original review and this edit posted July 1st) so it is brand new and I've only used a few sprays to test it. For me, it's a rather boring blind buy and I'd rather give it to a loving home in exchange for something that's on my "want" list!

Redpula

The scent that captivates the noses of men.
Based on my woman's wearing on casual shopping,
work and at social functions.
But I think, men can wear this on lesser sprays.
As I did and only got very good remarks.
The smell of soft citrus, luscious berries and
aromatic roses that makes it so captivating
from beginning to end.
Wonderful blend with some earth tones,
soft spices and a bit of a suede feel.
The sexiness unleashed on the dry down.
It lingers, really lingers, in the air,
in the room and leaving a very alluring scent trail.
Not to be used on extreme hot days.
Best for fall and winter.
Best for dates, parties, formal and outdoor
events.
Best to impress men when you passed by them.
Simply one of the best ladies perfume I have smelled and
tried.
9/10.

Nicki6089

What is this??? This is disgusting all I get is cypress and a hint of patchouli thankfully I only bought a rollerball I'm going to let this sit for awhile and come back to it in the future but it doesn't look promising for this one

Venusia

Lovely unisex concoction. Refined rose-wood combo spiced up with a touch of pepper and fruit aroma, not sweet or cloying at all. Full of character. No sirup, candy or marmelade in here for such lovers. Discrete & elegant!

Daisy83

A very masculine scent. Way to masculine for me. This should have been a perfume for men.

marim.soliman

Love this perfume, very interesting and unique mix of wood and fruits.
the only issue i find with it is the longevity! does not stay for a long time, maximum 2 hours but the scent is absolutely gorgeous and sexy.

forbes_mq

Gucci claims this fragrance remains unchanged from first application. While I understand what they mean, it is not exactly true.

The four main notes: blackberry, rose, patchouli and golden wood are present through the life of the fragrance, but it dries down in a classic way with these different notes having their moments to be in the spotlight while others support. First, it is the blackberrys solo: dark and green, juicy. It passes the microphone to a slightly powdery dark rose. Finally, the golden wood and patchouli close the show. In other words, you can still smell the rose and blackberry in the dry down, but they are in the distance, not totally gone.

This is a unisex fragrance. It is dark, sexy, and intoxicating. A very interesting release from Gucci - it smells nothing even close to the other guilty releases. This is niche quality and not safe for a blind purchase - one of those fragrances some people will hate. I have fallen in love with this dark, woody scent.

Funny story - I picked up a bottle of this for 50$ on kijiji. A guy got it for his girlfriend and they broke up... the spoils of war!

socola_1996

This is a unisex fragrance with very beautiful, juicy blackberry and high quality cypress. Fruity and woody, not complex but not done this well before in designer range either. It's like smelling a book that your lover just poured a glass of blackberry juice on by accident, if that makes sense.

I figure out that it's a perfect-for-transitional-season fragrance. Oh boy, I didn't like this in autumn, the time of the year when I haven't let go of the summer fragrance mindset and there's something off about already wearing cypress scent 3 months before Christmas. But I love this in the end of winter and especially spring. The weather in February is cold enough to tame the heaviness of rose and wood, yet the fresh blackberry and cypress absolutely shine in the spring's light sunshine. But hey, if you can pull it off in autumn it's awesome! Otherwise, too weak in winter, too heavy in summer (where I live summer can get to 40*C, you would not want to wear any fragrance then to be honest).

raiza1990

Great fragrance! Sexy and uplifting. The opening is like a fruit liquor with something herbal, like the branches of a fruit tree. Unusual but very pleasant, after that, it starts smelling like bubblegum but in a good way and then it turns into a nice fruity jam. Unfortunately it turns way too quickly into a skin scent. Then i can smell something softly sweet, but the drydown is not really unique. Anyways, this perfume is amazing! Gucci is becoming my favorite house, they have great fragrances for women!
Final note: 10/10

Nataliemarie

I thought I had reviewed this already. OMG, I am still so in love 2 years later. It doesn't smell just like TF Noir de Noir ( A HG for me) BUT,, IF you like that, you will like this. I feel like it gives the same vibe. Beautiful!

olliesmom

Beautiful scent!

Opening is blast of berry with hint of Cypress.

Dry down reminds me of slightly sweeter version of those pine/Cypress scent rod that you hang on Christmas tree. They sell those in home Depot.

Dabarefootbombshell

I will admit I am not a huge rose fan but it's growing on me more and more. This scent has a lot of rose coming though on my skin but it's tangled with the cypress. I was expecting it to be a lot sweeter but I am happy that it's not because I have too many fruity scents as is. This was a blind buy for me but my intention was to blend it with my Gucci Guilty which has become too common as everybody seems to wear it. I will test them layered and see what the result will be.

gtabasso

Very masculine: dark and wicked; rose, patchouli, an almost oudlike quality with pink pepper, blackberry and an herbal quality

Jacquis

This Gucci Guilty Absolute is gorgeous. The initial blast of sweet, juicy, deep blackberry is so delicious. It is deceptive because I did not expect that this fruity perfume would have such a niche, chypre drydown.

The drydown of GGA is most definitely green with predominantly cypress (Christmas tree) and some woods. The blackberry tint is still there but this drydown is not child's play. It is gorgeous and intriguing.

The longevity is great for me. I am wearing this in fall and intend to wear it all year. Back up bottle worthy IMO.

If you like Amethyst Exquise EDP, you might also like this one.

Anamandy

I love Gucci Guilty and the Intense version and thought I would love this too. I tested it the other day at Ulta, and it is very, very sugary sweet blackberry; like blackberry jam or juice concentrate that hadn't been reconstituted with water yet. Dries down to a rose, and piney, spicy (peppery), patchouli scent on me. Okay, but not my style. I'm not a fan of that sweet patchouli cobination. Reminds me of too many other scents on the market right now. Glad I only tested this and didn't blind buy a bottle based on my love of the others from this line.

Aw01

This fragrance smelled like actual mold on me. I sprayed it on my hand in ulta because I heard good things and I immediately regretted it. I scrubbed my hand with makeup remover when I got home and still couldn’t get it off. Even after I showered I still smell it😂 oh well, not every fragrance works for everyone.

dflor

I think it's something between La panthere Cartier and Meliora Parfums de Marly.

KittyDeBeauvoir

I'm personally a HUGE fan of this fragrance, except for one issue - It doesn't last or smell particularly on me.

I can smell it; however, it seems nobody else can.
My husband can smell it immediately after I spray, but can't 10 minutes later.

I was assured by the retailer that this perfumes *constantly* gets compliments - but I have yet to hear *any* comment. I'll take the negative as well as positive, as long as I know if there's *something*.

But yes - personally - Heck yeah, I fall in deep, lush *love* with this Bulgarian rose and berry scent. It's so deep, sexy, beautiful, and intoxicating!

I didn't realise this is a unisex perfume? Don't care. It's gorgeous...as long as you can smell it.

Kitty rating: 9/10.

A nice take on a berries and rose fragrance, not just to be contrary to some previous reviews but I find this one definitely leans more feminine but hey it's all subjective. I like this scent but don't think I'll be wearing it myself (that could change though, who knows...). Some guys might like to wear it though as it's not as sweet as other fruity feminine marketed scents.

I'm a big fan of these recent Gucci releases, I own and love the men's Guilty Absolute which is just brilliant and pretty daring for a designer fragrance, a fresh take on a leather scent.

This 'women's' version like the men's one also uses cypress & vetiver to give some green and woody freshness to the berries and rose (rather than the leather in the men's scent) and it works (!), another hit to chalk up for Mr Morillas.

17seyed

This right here is a prime example of why people should embrace the unisex marketing of most niche brands and let the "Pour Homme" and "Pour Femme" labels become parts of the history books.

As terrible of a scent as the new Gucci Memoire d'une odeur was, it took a step in the right direction by introducing the general fragrance consumer to unsiex marketing.

I worked at several big retailers myself and I saw so many cases where a man would come to the store, see the "Pour Femme" label and move on to the mens section to find something for himself, unaware of some real gems that he might love.

I would even argue that this smelled BETTER on my skin than on my female coworkers.

On me this opens with a really juicy and citrusy mix of blackberries and bergamot. I would've loved to get some pink peppers as listed here too but unfortunately couldn't.

Then it slowly morphs into a velvety, smooth, and cold mix of patchouli, vetiver, and some lingering blackberry. With some pillowy soft rose giving it that velvety texture that I love.

When my female coworkers sprayed it on, it just smelled like rose, rose, and even more rose.

Valentineee

LondonJean

This is a cold fragrance, but in the best of ways. No vanilla, amber, tonka or anything of that kind to soften or warm up. It’s a cold, crisp bush of fresh blackberries on a chilly autumn morning. In the forest, surrounded by the woods of conifers, cypress and pine. A crisp rose mingles with an earthy patchouli, but they stay in the back and never steps up front stage. This scent is freshness all the way, crispness defined, but still not sharp or scratchy. Fruit and berry lovers be warned! This berry doesn’t show up alone to the party, she comes accompanied by the earthly date of the forest and is not banal, jammy nor candy like. The crispness of the cypress is almost verging on something minty or eucalyptus like. Reviving to the senses. Sophistication in a bottle.

chridela

I bought a bottle of this today after extensive testing. I admit, I am a bit of a niche snob (sorry!), but credit where it's due....
This is a lovely woody blackberry scent. I received too many compliments when I was testing it to not buy a bottle. I own and appreciate Enchanted Forest by Vagabond Prince. This designer fragrance scratches the same itch as EF and is more accessible and obviously less expensive.
My partner loves this on me (which is saying something - this person is NOT a perfume lover and is quick to criticize any irritating aspects of my chosen daily scent)
I am happy to have this in my collection. I see it as a daily workhorse that I know well nigh every one around me will like.
Highly recommended.

cocofluff

Yummy berries in the woods fragrance. I'm not usually into fruity fragrances but fruity perfumes that are rounded by woods are definitely my style. I smelled it on a card a few months ago and loved its bright fruity fresh and piney scent. I've now got a travel spray to enjoy and I'm loving it. -

ridgel

This is one of those fragrances I bought bc I had to have it. I love the smell, but I never reach for it and barely wear it. I think I don't wear it because I get bored of its linear performance. Its sweet in a unisex way, the berry isnt very girly to me. I get a woodiness and aromatic rose. It would be a love if had more complexity to it, I usually grab CK Euphoria instead of this

edit: been loving this in the transitional fall weather. I think it doesn't shine as much in other seasons.

ysl187

This s def unisex! it got the woody notes cypress and vetiver that is more masculine. then you got the rose and blackberry that are more feminine.. It smells like a berry bush with ripe Blackberrys, leaves, grass, soil! Yeah gucci are starting to not follow the trends and i like it.. This is special! for a confident man.. last long but dont project that much. 7.5/10

Joys of life

This has a nice dry citrusy vibe to it, almost like kumquats to me, sweet and sour and piquant. The ‘blackberry’ (synthetic) note pulls it all together. Interesting chypre, a frouchouli with a bitter twist. I dig it, wish it was deeper and more complex.

jessora

My guess was strawberry, but blackberry makes total sense. A bunch of delicious rosy creamy floral and a bit of pepper spice that literally feels like actual white pepper. A nice musky drydown... But down the middle of this lovely scent is a huge spike of probably the cypress, I don't know... it was like a spike through my head. In a more blended way, the cypress would be warm and welcoming. Why couldn't the designers harmonize it? It smells like an uncouth version of the dark Midnight Poison which it reminds me of strongly.

sistermoon

This is the latest addition to my fragrance collection. (and before then there was Scandal, for reference). I was mesmerized since the first spray. I don't know exactly what I expected, something bland and modern I guess? But instead I got a vavavoom. It blew me away. Ok, Guilty Absolute is not entirely unique but it's classical, heavy, memorable, daring, seductive, delicious... It sticks out in the sea of blandness and modernity. From the (unsuspecting looking) bottle it smells like rose compote. When sprayed this is the tartest tart rose with juicy blackberry and black currents. The drydown is woodsy with patchouli. It's a pleasure trip with delicious and sensual notes. I absolutely love it. It speaks to the hedonist in me. Guilty as charged!

vlarya

It smells likea berry bush - the complete bush with leaves and twigs. The latters make it weird and bother the otherwise edible berrysmell.

pnw_pluviophile

I've been searching for a new Springtime fragrance that is a jammy, sweet red fruit perfume with a more mature dry down and I think I found it here. The opening is so full of fresh juicy and sweet berry that I thought at first it was strawberry or a raspberry note with some sort of sugar note. I was surprised to see that it is blackberry. It becomes much more woody, and more musky with the patchouli about 10 minutes later. I love musk, I really love it, and it both adds a sexiness to the overall dry down and plays nice with the strong berry and wood notes. I'm not entirely sure if this musk is a note not formally acknowledged by GG or if it's the patchouli but I'll say it again; I love it. The juicy blackberry, dry woods, and musky patchouli are really the main middle notes. Arms' length sillage; not sure yet on longevity but it's been a few hours, and so far this is a winner.

robynhood_2000

I really like this, and I'm not exactly sure why. It's not my typical kind of scent, but something about the woody, patchouli-ness of it speaks to me. My nose doesn't pick up anything fruity about this one. I think this works as a unisex scent because it has a masculine dry down, but it still works.

Kenudigme

Fellas this is for you too! If you can get past the first 10-20 minutes ON SKIN, then you’re good to GO! As it continues dry down, it becomes more masculine / more of a dry musky rose. If you spray on clothing instead of skin, you may not get that same dry down result. Anyway, I’ve heard some ppl say this smells synthetic - Some ppl say this smells natural. I agree with both takes b/c I can see how both opinions can be perceived. However, I still enjoy this composition very much. This isn’t sickly synthetic like some of these other designers which are being purchased by the masses #coughcoiugh (Versace Dylan Blue). So when you hear this composition is synthetic, don’t think Dylan Blue. Instead, think Molecule 01.

ms.ttran64

I was expecting something like Jo Malone’s Blackberry and Bay but instead got a warm, spicy raspberry (I know it says blackberry but I smell raspberry). It’s deliciously intoxicating. Definitely for nights in the fall.

sarahherbs

This is the "poor man's" version of Fredric Malle's Portrait of a Lady. Similar minus the incense and complexity. They are distant cousins, but in the same family. :)

markchristopheralviz

Wore it for the first time today and it’s a compliment magnet. Got 2 unsolicited ones right away here at work. Sprayed it at 7:00am and until now I can still smell it after roughly 8 hours though it’s now a skin scent. It’s my first fragrance marketed towards women but it’s definitely unisex.

ijeomaoj

This smells like blackberries on the vine. Not jammy. It's fresh blackberries, green vines, and surrounding woods. A really beautiful fragrance that I think works almost year round.

justchillinxo

To me this literally just smells like pepper, and then in the dry down some of the cypress comes through and that's about it. Not sexy, cute, interesting or enjoyable, just meh.

demhayerawsah

Initially this smelt too syrupy and with too much dusty blackberry. However, once I let it settle, I enjoyed it. Truthfully, there is a somewhat synthetic quality about it, but generally I find the sweet and woodiness of this fragrance to be unlike much of what is on the market right now.
I think it's bold and unlike most of what Gucci has offered us lately.

gtrhs

I didn't like this at all at first whiff.I am so glad I tested it on skin anyway. I don't love the strong berry presence in the opening. Luckily it calms down rather quickly in the dry down on my skin. The blackberry is still there, but isn't juicy or jammy. The dryness of the berry allows it to meld so nicely with and brings a slight sweetness to the dry, woody, rose. There are so many girly(as in juvenile), juicy,candy-sweet floral fruities flooding the market. This is a well done,grown-up interpretation.

ave_maria

I absolutely loved this when I smelt it on paper. But on me it's just too masculine and sharp. Maybe I'll try it this spring when it warms up and see if that helps.

Punkrockbebop

I love this beautiful fragrance. I just wish it were a bit stronger on me, and didn’t fade to a skin scent so rapidly. But it’s a beautiful, classy, and subtle scent of non-jammy, fresher blackberries and woody rose and amber with a hint of pink pepper. I love that they didn’t go the over-patchoulied route of many of today’s popular fragrances.

Very office-friendly, while still maintaining an exotic and oriental personality. I’d say there is enough projection to just detect the scent if you are close.

HelloIvy

This smells like Calvin Klein Euphoria but a edt summer version. A very jeans and T-shirt unfussy kinda fragrance.

shusha

This is a lovely addition to the Guilty family. It's fresh and woody with a hint of amber. The blackberry note, which was neither syrupy nor excessively fruity, carried for quite a long time into the drydown and made the composition very unique. This is a very well balanced fragrance and is quite elegant. The only issue for me was that I thought it didn't have a strong backbone. The patchouli is so tamed that it doesn't provide a good background to the other notes. Hence it didn't last long nor did it have a good projection on me, and I found it really disappointing since I truly enjoyed the scent. Sadly, it seems to be a reccurent issue for me with all the Guilty family members.

SandyMelak

I am not that person who loves woody strong female scents

But honestly This is the BEST woody femme fragrance I have ever smelled !.

Even when I am juicy couture type of girl but this thing makes me feel that I am both ( woman and strong ) at the same tyme .
Hats up for Alberto Morillas.

spyral.1

This a breath of fresh air considering the boring, sweet, floral fragrances that dominate the designer market. The opening is rose sweetened slightly with a hint of blackberry, which fades during the dry-down. What remains is an elegant and somewhat seductive woody, patchouli rose.this is what a sophisticated WOMAN smells like. Were it not for the rose, a headache inducer for me, I would own this. It's absolutely gorgeous and has restored my faith in Gucci. Can't wait to smell what's next in their line up.

LadyIva

This fragrance is much better than I expected. I’m a huge fan of Alberto Morillas, one of the greatest noses of our time, but I thought that he was beginning to lose his touch due to being so prolific (read: churning out new fragrances every other week). Fortunately I was wrong; the Maestro still has some aces up his sleeve.
Before describing Gucci Guilty Absolute for women, I will digress just for a second and assert that I love rose fragrances, especially the ones that contain Bulgarian rose. My favourite rose fragrance is MFK Oud Silk Mood Extrait, and I measure all other releases in terms of how close they come to this epitome of perfection.
Now, Gucci Guilty Absolute actually does come quite close. Basically it smells as if someone (i.e. Morillas) dilluted Oud Silk Mood with Coca Cola!! Honestly, that’s EXACTLY what it smells like. Best of all, it’s quite linear, so the wearer can enjoy this rose-flavoured Coke on their skin for many hours.
I have to say that the house of Gucci has enjoyed a good run of form in the past few years with their mainstream releases - first the Bloom series, and now this quirky beauty. Now I’m really looking forward to testing their new, recently announced, high-end line of frags and oils.

YaGirlSniffsMe

@Bodda89 you were right though it took about a 40 mins - hour for it to get a bit masculine on me. Had a very nice peppery and Amber smell with a slight undertone of blackberry and rose.

100% would wear this to the club as a guy but would love to try out the OUD guilty since it’s pretty similar with just added oud it seems

lmwimsatt

This is my christmas perfume because it smells just like Christmas trees!

YaGirlSniffsMe

Been told a guy could pull this off so I gave it a try and on my skin it was a 100% female smelling scent. I would not buy it for myself but would 100% buy this for a girl in her 20s for a gift.

perfume_infatuated

An elegant, formal, grown up scent. Berries and rose water essence are the main players in this one, and rose (supported with some woods and greens) shifts the scent from girly to womanly, from casual to formal, and from western to oriental. But mainly rose water is the main actor in creating the vibe I'm trying to describe. All-in-all, it's really nice and dressy.

robynhood_2000

I just sampled this today, and I'm quite surprised that I really like it. It's a dark and mysterious fragrance. The patchouli absolutely comes through to me. I'm surprised that most seem to find this a fruity scent. I don't get that at all. My nose picks up a sort of sweet, woodsy fragrance. At any rate, I wouldn't be surprised if a bottle of this perfume found its way to my Christmas stocking this year.

NouveauDruid

Sniffing this past Sunday in the local Ulta, I was struck by this fragrance as being far more palatable than the original Guilty. However, I feel like Donna Karan's Delicious Night layered over GG would create a similar effect. Delicious Night, though, has a scrumptious dry down, something GG Absolute lacks. However, GG Ab seems to stay the same from start to finish, which is amazing for a fruity top-noted scent. Since Delicious Night is discontinued I'd recommend this as a replacement though it is heavier on the patchouli. Good juice.

this came as a nice surprise. i expected a flanker of gucci guilty, which i m not very fond of, but it is intirely different and quite unique.
it opens with a bold rose/ berry combo, and while you worry of it being a sweet cloying vanilla afterwards, it ends completelly fresh, chic and almost masculine , with a woody/ patchouli combo. i love it, so far..
edit; grapefruit is prominent almost from the start, which saves it from beeing cloying and gives a fresh twist.

This is an amazingly well done fragrance. It honestly feels like Be Careful What You Wish For (4160 Tuesdays) on drugs. A coniferous rose and wild blackberry fragrance with a strange cedar back note that persists until the end. Honestly couldn’t find another mainstream scent that smells like it if I tried. Very interesting, lovely. Just wished it lasted longer on me.

Just discovered this one the other day at Ulta. After trying out several new fragrances I left the store and started to notice that the cool breeze around me had such a good scent. I start looking around to see who smells so good but stop and think, I'm the one who just finished testing perfumes. I hadn't taken any paper testers but, one spritz got to my hand and that was it... It was sweet, refined with a vintage elegance as well as a slight masculinity that kept me sniffing my hand. Just beautiful. I imagine this lady isn't afraid to make a statement. She doesn't save the nice lingerie for a special occasion. She likes handwritten love letters, and sitting on the porch after a long day with a glass of wine.

Second time wearing a perfume by Gucci, and I’m pleasantly surprised. This is smooth and refined. A blackberry accord with a strong cypress note is forward. Excellent projection in the first hour. Within an hour it mellows but the blackberry note is still present with an emerged rose, which becomes dominant in the drydown.

I really love this beautiful scent, but I have others that are similar. I’m reminded of my vintage bottle of YSL In Love Again, and also Diptyque’s L'Ombre dans l'Eau, except the berry note in the later is black currant. Still very similar vibe.

If I can pick this up for a good price, and I’m betting I can, then I will buy a 30 or 50 ml. This is a commercial offering with a niche vibe. Love it!

edit: One week later and I can’t stop thinking about this perfume. Found a gently used 50 ml for a great price and now I own this interesting, fizzy, fermented rose-blackberry scent.

Here is another classy perfume. Unlike his male counterpart (which I find horrible) here we are faced with a truly fabulous creation but we do not exaggerate: Compare it to DIVINE Midnight Poison is pure blasphemy. Persistent and soft. In this case, morillas did the center. Great!

I'm loving this very Chic parfum..hmmmm

Someone I know

I do appreciate the cologne vibe that mixes with what would otherwise be a generic fruity floral crowd pleaser. If you don't like patchouli, don't bother, since it's prominent. Guilty Absolute pour Femme is very woody and almost animalistic, but the sweet fruitiness and a touch of rose ensure it's safe enough for the big audience.

A pleasant surprise among new designer perfumes that often seem to lack personality. Not exactly my cup of tea though. I get what Gucci is going for with the "modern chypre". There is an earthy vibe that makes me think of a forest. On the other hand Guilty Absolute pour Femme is a legit rich bitch perfume you would ideally wear for a night out. I think there might be a bit of an identity crisis going on here: To be mainstream or not to be mainstream? That is the question.

MsMelanieL: have you tried layering it with the matching body lotion? That should help the scent linger longer, but don't forget that we often go noseblind to our own scent rather quickly and sometimes when you think a fragrance is gone, other people can still smell you, particularly those of us who are hypersensitive to fragrance.

I absolutely love this fragrance! I've tried wearing it several times now with the same problem, performance is very poor. I keep hearing reviews where they say it's so strong and last a long time, well not on me. I'm bummed cause I really love it and get many compliments for the 1 hour it last. Any recommendations on how to help it last longer or is it just my body chemistry?
