Flora by Gucci Eau de Toilette by Gucci is a Floral fragrance for women. Flora by Gucci Eau de Toilette was launched in 2009. The nose behind this fragrance is Firmenich. Top notes are Peony, Citruses and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Osmanthus and Rose; base notes are Sandalwood, Pink Pepper and Patchouli.

New fragrance by the house of Gucci, named Flora by Gucci, aims at young customers and it was inspired by a floral motive. Flora is, after Gucci by Gucci, the second fragrance under creative leadership of the house of Giannini from Florence. The first one, Gucci by Gucci, is perfect for a powerful Gucci woman, while Flora is addressed at a sensual, young girl.

Perfume Flora by Gucci opens the door to new creations by the house of Gucci, which are being planned for younger audience. Top notes introduce citruses and peony, a heart is enriched with rose and osmanthus (Chinese flower which enchants with fruity-floral aromas with leather notes), while base notes encompass patchouli and sandalwood. Perfumers behind this edition are from the house of Firmenich.

In order to create a bottle for Flora, designers of the house of Giannini built on architectural structure of Gucci by Gucci bottle by giving geometric shape of hexagon to the new edition, while champagne nuance was chosen as colour of fluid.

Advertising face is Abbey Lee, Australian model, who is wearing a silk dress with floral print. In a shot by Chris Cunningham in a cornfield in Latvia, Lee is captured as standing in the middle of more than 40000 silky flowers dancing in rhythm of wind with musical background of original remix - “I Feel Love” by Donna Summer. Inez & Vinoodh photographed advertising materials with a floral pattern.

Perfume Flora by Gucci has arrived on the market in April 2009 and is available as 30, 50 and 75 ml EDT, as well as 100 ml deodorant, 200 ml perfumed body lotion and 200 ml perfumed body bath.

A scent that falls into the category of “generic perfumey” but in a likeable way, similar in feel to Burberry’s Weekend. Peony/rose and patchouli would belie any attempt to pass this off as one’s natural aroma, but the osmanthus and sandalwood soften and blur the edges so it’s hard to say exactly where skin stops and this begins. It’s missing something texturally for me, but provides a pleasant fruity floral base for layering.

Kiriae

Fresh, clean and feminine. The soft floral scent is no doubt great for spring and summer wear.

ReeReeLove

I'm not a fan of patchouli at all, although there are fragrances that I love that contain patchouli when blended correctly such as Love Story by Chloe. This is a beautiful floral fragrance and it's blended beautifully. I'd say that this is probably the most detectable patchouli that I can stand and still love the fragrance. In this instant it works so well, just as it does with Gorgeous Gardenia and Gorgeous Jasmine. I love them all.

Kate_the_Iris

Is it out of production or just cannot find it in my city?

Gorgeous floral scent, light, fresh, it is the BASE for all the other Gucci floral scents you see on the market today. The DNA is very traceable and distinct, but I still do not like any of the new variations as much as the classic Gucci Flora. It is feminine, for an elegant lady, yet nothing over the top. Was my signature in my twenties. Definitely a compliment getter. Would like to purchase it again, but some people who managed to put their hands on this scent recently say it has changed. Not sure what to make of it.

MySkin

I received it as a gift from a very close friend and after smelling it I was quite surprised she picked this one for me.
There is something irritating in this perfume and I can not put my finger on it.
Been trying for almost a year to fall for it but I just can't.
It's probably more masculine than I'm comfortable with.
I wouldn't blind buy it myself.

AlaskanAngel

Another fruity floral ruined by patchouli.

Review of official carded spray sample that came free with purchase.

chrisaied

I thought I’m gonna wear it like light flower fragrance like modern Gucci Gardenia in green bottle, but day later it smells like Zielinski Rozen - Orange, Jasmine and Vanilla! Good to wear in the evening.

maimaibaby

This is my top 3 fragrances. Floral sweet sophisticated fresh tender fresh clean, not basic or monotone at all. It's perfect for humid and hot weather. It's my signature scent in summer of all time !!!

Please keep it continued. I watched in a video from Soki London that it will be discontinued this year, which is soooo sad. Please please please keep it continued !!

I tested both the Parfum and the toilette form of this perfume yesterday on my smell trip and as I am consulting my notes I made yesterday this morning I liked the parfum much better. It was deeper and richer, the toilette is a bit watered down. Gucci Flora is a pretty orange and citrus scent w/ a nice osmanthus heart. The parfum had a nice soft spicy scent as well, the pink pepper wasnt' overdone. I got zero peony w/ this yesterday, which is fine w/ me since I'm not a huge peony fan. If you like osmanthus and would like to have an osmanthus scent that is a bit more casual than a Burberry Society this is a good one to get before they are all gone since it is being discontinued.

Dinaina

This has been reformulated and the look is different too, it is a green juice now. It used to be very nice, I really enjoyed the old formulation. Now it’s just a shadow of what it once was. There is something missing, that made the fragrance for me. It’s just a meh fragrances now which is a shame.

What is happening with quality?

ScentBliss555

I first purchased the EDT about two months ago and thought the EDP was worth purchasing too. While very similar in composition their performances are surprisingly different.. Gucci Flora EDP is a deeper, richer concentration but it is more intimate. The EDT on the other hand is a tamer concentration but it amps the volume in sillage and projection. The opening is an explosion of garden flowers and osmanthus notes. It is almost like spraying your own garden bubble out of a bottle!
It will be fun to test these in the upcoming warm months!
My opinion, the edt is the better purchase. The edp's competing edge is slightly better longevity.
Another moment of honesty, I found the scent off putting in colder weather so wait until warmer months for its beauty.
Still keeping both. I will be layering edp under edt!

tippytee

I was expecting this to be really boring, which it is, but it is also far lovelier than I assumed it would be. It makes itself a little more interesting with the "osmanthus" note which is not really osmanthus but is that nice apricot-y fruity-floral that I tend to gravitate towards. It's light, simple, non-offensive.

xxjennieee

This is one of my favorite perfumes.
It's definitely unique in my opinion and I have yet to smell something similar to it.
The top notes I smell is peony and citrus. Very fresh, girly and clean.
However, once it starts to dry down its creamy, a little powdery and definitely a lot of osmanthus.
I personally don't get any of the bottom notes, however it does last long on the skin and it probably has a lot to do with the pink pepper.
I would recommend this fragrance because it's definitely hard to dislike, therefore I think its a safe blind buy if you like soapy yet sweet, clean scents.

Stoicchild

It's an everyday fresh floral scent. I don't like perfumes that are too feminine, but there's something about this that I really like. I'd wear this everyday because it's a classy floral scent. It's definitely not fruity or too sweet, otherwise I'd have hated it. This is very wearable if you're looking for a classy fresh floral scent for summer. It's definitely better than other Gucci fragrances out there. I don't understand why this one doesn't get much attention.

lordbig

If you want fresh cut florals this is not it. It smells like the dumpster behind a florist shop, wilted flowers fermenting under the humid sun. Accented by some musty musky smell

strawbrrymelk

Smells extremely synthetic, it's seriously making me feel like gagging. All the notes are mashed together into a light floral pukeworthy mess.

norhal96

How does this smell like fresh floral, creamy, slight spicy rain? It does and I love it. Especially for rainy, cold days it fits the aroma so well while having a sophisticated feel to it.

The opening is a bit sharp, I was afraid I wouldn't love it, but after an hour or two it's a creamy fresh floral I adore. This with the osmanthus that give it a citrusy peach vibe that's fizzy, uplifting and highly youthful.

The sillage/scent trail is gorgeous and lasts about 4-5 hours on my skin while being a skin scent for 7.

Usually I have a dislike for patchouli but I really like it in this as it is complemented by the pink pepper and sandalwood that makes it everso earthy, creamy with the slightest fresh pink pepper spice. Smells natural but not dirty.

Might become my signature

Sinologist

Gucci Flora EDT is not for my particular taste. My senses are hit with a clash between the citrus and pink pepper. Also, the dry down is just too acidic and bitter for me. I've been layering this fragrance with sweeter scents in order to enjoy the high quality juice. For instance, Jo Malone or Aerin scents can be acceptable layers to Gucci Flora EDT. Finally, I plan on unloading this beautiful bottle. It belongs to someone who loves the scent!

You know how it seems like some high school drama productions are only held together by the cheapest can of hairspray, 5-Hour Energy (orange flavor), and an animalistic need for attention?

Well, now you do.

MagdalenaM

A straight up hippie scent. It has a boho vibe, always makes me think of Florence Welch. It smells really nice, but not beautiful imo. It just takes a right woman for this one I think. I think somebody whos into taxidermy and who enjoys vibing in dusty attics and old books and such. Everytime I wear it I feel so weird tbh. Most Guccis in my opinion lack in the department of magic and so does this one, but either way try before you buy.

bl.fak

Have you ever smelled a tweenager's meth lab?

No?

Neither had I, Gucci Flora. Neither had I.

fyetan

When my perfume collection was <10 bottles, this was the most grown-up perfume I had. It was the first foray into florals stronger than just backing up a fruity composition, and was intoxicating to my boyfriend at the time. I think his appreciation for it deepened my liking for it. Revisiting it years later, it is pleasant, it is unique, but I don't think I like it as much as I did back then. (And neither does he - he doesn't recognize it!) The bottle is hefty and super pretty on top of a vanity, though.

The scent pyramid is pretty accurate. Smelled from the cap, it's a very blended mishmash of peony, citrus fruits (but not in a really fresh/uplifting way, just in a non-jammy way), and osmanthus. Once sprayed, the drydown has a muskier and sweet osmanthus shining through, with the citrus long gone. It lasts about 6 hours on skin, and at least the day on clothes.

FrenchyFry

To me, this smells like a rainy day. You're inside with the windows cracked open to let in the fresh air, the smell of a calm, peaceful, yet slightly humid scene. This is truly comforting. This is a clean floral without being sharp or screechy or soapy. It's bright, beautiful, and cozy. I've never smelled anything like it before.
If I could bottle happiness, this is what I'd bottle. This is a life-er for me.

Cataddicted

Obviously, this is a very floral fragrance. I don’t own too many florals, but the ones I do have, I think very highly of them.
It is very floral on the skin, but I like that little touch of musk (that’s what I tend to smell anyway, anyone agree?) that links with the floral notes, making it even nicer in my opinion, more natural and airy. More a day scent than a night scent for me. I’d love to wear this while having a stroll in the park, maybe having a coffee with a friend outside in the park or the beach... (I tend to imagine the perfect thing to be doing whilst wearing a particular perfume, and that’s what came to mind when I was thinking and smelling Gucci flora)

SeauxGood

Flora EDT is a citrusy floral fragrance with some spice and woodsy notes in the base. The osmanthus is actually very beautiful in this composition. It’s a fruity-floral note in its own right, so it interplays well with the mandarin and other citruses. The rose helps to balance it by deepening the floral profile. This is a bright, Spring-ish fragrance that reminds me of a morning stroll on a warm day. It’s very traditional, but still well done. I could easily wear this to work or out for errands. A good everyday, pick-me-up type of scent.

Dusk

My God, this scent is gorgeous.

I think this was the first and only time I have asked a girl which fragrance was she wearing. We were close friends during the university years. This scent on hers was beautiful, and she was too - literally an amazing combination!

SailorV

Someone gave me a sample of Flora EDT with a swap, otherwise I wouldn't have tried it because it sounds a little boring to me. Well, what can I say, it's sure not the most original scent on earth but I actually enjoy it.
Osmanthus is clearly the most important note here with it's apricot-like floral scent. I also smell the light and airy peony and something creamy and musky. There is no musk listed, so maybe this supposed to be the sandalwood, even though it doesn't smell like sandalwood to me. What I like about Flora EDT is that it's rather warm for such a light, clean scent. The citrus notes don't overpower everything else. This smells a little synthetic and like it could be some everyday body care product, but think of a nice hair mask rather than a shampoo. Nothing I would buy for myself, but not bad.
I have never tried the EDP so I can't compare.

bel.gravia

Flora, a bottled bouquet of Asian osmanthus flowers. I have smelled actual osmanthus which is so prominent in Good Girl Gone Bad By Kilian. It smells like a flat with all its windows closed, on a hot summer day, a flat filled with flowers and nothing else. With peonies and osmanthus. It is very very dense smell, floral and somewhat pollen like. In Gucci Flora, osmanthus is comined with citruses to provide it that open window freshness, to speak in a metaphor. As it dries down, Flora becomes clearly more and more floral. The base of patchouli doesn't really come through a lot but the pink pepper in the base does, yet again providing some freshness. Flora isn't exactly modern, but not vintage either I find it a little undefined.

Anamandy

Out of all the Gucci Floras I've tried so far this is my favorite to date. Opens with a creamy citrus, in particular Mandarin which I love, followed by peony, a light rose, and a fruity osmanthus. I love the apricot vanilla scent of Osmanthus. It is such a mellow floral that is so pretty giving this scent a luscious sweetness. There is a softness to this scent that is really nice despite the pink pepper which is barely detectable. Very smooth and gentle, nothing overwhelming or sharp. Longevity is a little disappointing lasting only a few hours but silage is nice, if a little on the soft side. This will be a nice go-to during the warmer days of the spring and summer. I'm curious to try the eau de parfum of this scent and wonder how much of a difference there is in scent, silage, and longevity. I'm willing to bet it is just as pretty as this is.

raiza1990

This is a lovely floral. It’s sweeter than the edp, but it is not cloying. It’s fresh and a bit powdery. It’s feminine and uplifting, but is not as special as the edp. It’s still good though. It’s soft and elegant and romantic. This is for a joyful and dreamy young lady.
Good choice for spring and summer.
Final note: 8/10

bel.gravia

You must wear Gucci Flora on skin! I know that paper does not do justice to any perfume, but it is especially the case with Flora!
On skin it is absolutely gorgeous, citrusy but not sharp, floral but not overly, with some muskiness underneath. I cannot detect much patchouli or pepper. It is peonies, citrus notes, a huge huge dose of osmanthus, very very pretty osmanthus and some light muskiness.
I am surprised how much I love it because from the notes it does not look special. Flora has some kind of note of elegance. It is so, so wildly elegant!

Rosariaa

This is a lovely fresh floral. I find it quite sweet and pretty linear on the whole, at drydown it’s just a softer version of the first spray. I thought I’d gone off this but I was determined to finish the last 1ml in the bottle so have been wearing it over the weekend and can remember now why it used to be a favourite, when I had simple tastes in the days before I became a fragrance junkie with no loyalty to anything! It’s pretty inoffensive, office safe and mostly suited to spring or summer. There’s so many now I only feel able to wear in winter so this definitely wouldn’t make the mark in colder weather for me. The sillage is average, longevity could be better I think, about 4-5 hours on me. I probably won’t repurchase, there are stacks I like more than this now, but I’d be happy to receive it as a gift and it would a safe blind buy.

masako_30

Flora smells of yesteryear.
Innocent pepper disguised as a beautiful well-balanced peony and osmanthus, elixir of sophisticated vibe.
Occasionally I wear drops of some vials I have for a long time, so it's like Flora has always belonged to me.

Now the packaging has been renewed and is spectacular to the eye, a tasteful packaging that perfectly reflects the precious content.
To me Flora's got the perfect score.

churinl

While far from "a sensual, young girl", I happen to enjoy this EDT quite a bit! I am a fan of osmanthus in perfumes. I like the floral, fruity sweetness it brings to most compositions and it really holds this fragrance together so that it reads a bit more fruity floral than strictly floral. Fruity florals do tend to be marketed more to the youthful audience, and as a grown woman, I'm not particularly interested in smelling like a strawberry, but I do like a peach/apricot note, which osmanthus imparts. It works well with the peony, creating a light, somewhat sweet fragrance perfect for spring days and after a shower. I also own Generous Violet from the same collection, which I am also fond of, but I enjoy this one a little bit more. Has decent longevity and sillage for an EDT. I will reach for this quite a bit throughout this spring!

EDIT - Just sprayed a bit of this on the back of my hand and still really like it. I read through many of the reviews and I sense a paradox - so many people refer to this as "generic", and yet if you read the reviews, both positive and negative, I began to see that what makes this work or not work for people really varies, so maybe this isn't quite the simple little perfume most seem to assume it is. I found it interesting that so many experienced a metallic note. If I smelled that, I would scrub it off immediately, as that quality would send me running for the hills! So either it is skin chemistry, or Gucci has a serious quality control issue going on. I'm glad it works for me!

giuseppe98gp83

This Gucci is very good! Floral, sweet and fruity to my nose. Enchanting, delicate and feminine. Beautiful osmanthus and a very modest rose. Citruses well measured by the Peony. Dry-down with Patchouli and Pepe. Really well done. Fresh, beautiful.CHEERFUL PERFUME!

kastehelmi

Attractive sweet floral and citrus notes with an overbearing woody patchouli base. Smells good going on for a bit, quickly becomes bothersome, while still kind of pleasant at the same time. Somehow I like sampling it but want it off of my skin, cause there are no less than 20 scents I might rather smell like than this, lol. Young, obnoxious, but has some sophistication. Cute bottle, but the smell is a reminder that I never have to settle for that which doesn't become me.

ericah12345

I used three bottles of Flora in 2010-2011. That's a lot for me. I was deeply in love with Flora but I think I seriously overdosed so I can't imagine wearing it in any near future.

Anyway, the scent is amazing. Gorgeous florals and spicy fruit. It's probably the underlying pink pepper that gives the perfume this lovely, spicy edge that is not too sharp though. That interesting edgy note reminds me of raspberry mixed with salty liquorice. Very nice!

floralscents88

i'm a floral girl through and through. so i blind bought this one thinking i'm surely going to love it based on the reviews here. But on my skin this is really strong(1 spray) and cloying. it was overwhelming at first. once it dried down, it was pleasant enough and stayed on me the entire day. will keep the bottle but will only wear it for night outs.

iveyl

An instant scrubber. I have a bottle of CK One that's 12 years old and some of the notes have long gone sour- Gucci flora reminded me in part of that bottle. Add with it sucking on a penny. Somewhere in there are pleasant flower notes but the sourness was so off-putting I can't appreciate them. Pass.

waskotransportation

I somehow ended up with two big bottles of this. I guess one is going to have to be a gift. I have to say, this is not my favorite. Every Gucci perfume that I have ever tried has been too mild and my nose can barely smell any of them, this one included. It is just SO faint to me. I know a lot of people just love this, and I wish I could really smell it. This is not necessarily bad but not great either. Can take it or leave it. For reference my signature scent is Chloe EDT and EDP. I also love Kenzo World Intense. I guess I am used to VERY strong perfume. This does not cut it for me. I guess I can just wear it around the house...kind of disappointed. I keep buying Gucci hoping I will finally buy one that is strong enough to project but so far not so good.

PNBP

hm i tried the EDT sample and fell in love with it so much, lots of people complimented it, too so i guess the EDP could be even better - at least in sillage, i got the EDP version and it turns to be so powdery floral which i dislike. EDT is much softer and light, lovely feminine and heavenly floral. well at least i could save some bucks purchasing the EDT. what a shame. two versions are definitely different.

nikoleta1

Light floral, pleasant and not offensive, smells different then EDP.
Great for warm weather, average longevity.

ginchuginchu

A scent of femininity.

Flora is a scent of pleasant springtime, cruising between crisp floral and feminine freshness. Relate-able, non-offensive but without a wow factor - just like a PG rated innocent romance. Fragile and demure.

meliecat

The tester I tried must have been gone off - it is meant to be a gorgeous perfume, but it had an acrid and sour undertone on me which went through a phase of `okay, but smells like Lanvin Rumeur and SJP Lovely` and then..it turned into the smell of the cold cream my grandma used in the 80s on her hands and cracked heels..Didn`t impress me at all, and then I saw the price tag! I must try again elsewhere, as I refuse to believe that this particular tester wasn`t gone off..The bottle is truly lovely, and that is a fact.

Christycaxxx

Stronger than the sister scent gorgeous gardenia to me but nevertheless a nice, floral musky smell. I wear it on sunny, cooler days but it doesn’t last as long on me.

muahah

Fruity resinous. It does have some metallic note as others mentioned in reviews. For some reason this 'metallic' reminds me swimsuit, therefor for me it is more as summer perfume. EDT is more fruity, but EDP more floral and airy. It is feminine, elegant, lovely and dreamy. There is something that makes it classy. Sugary, but not too sweet. Pepper and citrus note in background. I wish I could like it more, but alas too synthetic resinous for me.

natalieogden

I don't know what it is about this scent that does it, but this is the only perfume that's ever made me feel sick. Even one sniff of this knocks me. Nope.

shalimaraddict

I'm not a big fan of this or the EDP. They both smell sour, medicinal, and metallic.

happy-knight

All i get from this is a floral metallic smell, pretty one dimensional as well.

khadijah.nusra

Overpowering and just plain headache inducing. One little spray makes me nauseous.

GoldSerum

I made the mistake of buying a 2.5 oz bottle without smelling a sample first. It really is just a dry and dusty smell of flowers that LINGERS.

Though I must say I'm impressed with the longevity this eau de toilette has. You'll smell this for days afterwards.

Janlaw

All Gucci perfumes have that offputting metallic base very headache inducing so I'll pass...

Yeremeh

I adore this fragrance! Got it as a gift from my mother without ever having even tried it before, and it was love at first sniff. I don't find it boring at all, I think it's quite elegant yet very wearable. One of my favourites!

CoffeeCup

I wanted to love it so much!

Look at the bottle if nothing else, it's so pretty! The notes seemed promising. Rose, osmanthus, sandalwood - I expected so much from it. Rose is my favorite, osmanthus is in my signature, sandalwood keeps intriguing me. The promise was there - Flora could have been stunning.

Didn't happen though.

It smells like... for the lack of a better comparison... dusty water. Edp, edt... doesn't matter. It's boring. A pretty shell with the most unmemorable scent stored in it. It's as disappointing as a broken promise.

Heathw619

I absolutely love this fragrance. It smells so good. I love they floral that's in where. I'm not great with notes. But this smells amazing from first sprints to the dry down. This quickly became one of my favorites.

Jazieboo7410

Flora was very sweet and boring to me. No depth to this scent and gives me a slight headache.

Soofiya

Gucci flora seems to have safe notes for me so I didn't expect to dislike it
I received a free decant sample of it with my other purchases and I don't know whether it's edt or edp.I just know that I dislike it with all my heart just because there's something in it that ruins it for me.I can detect peony and mandarin orange as dominant notes,it could be a pleasant floral-citrus combo if there was not this wierd note in it.there's something that smells like oxidated metal.like a piece of old metal that is wet and oxidation process has ruined most parts of it.as time passes this metal thing becomes even more prominant.horrible smell of metal can easily shadow flower and citrus as it does in this perfume.it must be something about my body chemistry because I'm sure a perfume can't be made to smell like this.almost always I try to give time to perfumes so I usually don't wash after applying perfumes even if I don't like them.but I couldn't Tolerate this metal smell so I had to scrub it.it even gave me a toothache, like biting a piece of metal
I guess it must be something about pink pepper.I disliked it so much that I feel I can't try any new perfume at least for a week

turtle91

There's a note which gives me headache and I think it is the rose. Dislike this.

pennyprimrose

Lovely bright fresh floral, then 10 minutes later - soap. Dishsoap, specifically. Nothing else, just quietly soapy wrists. Glad it's just a test vial.

JacquieDS

A lovely girl at work gifted this half bottle to me today, I really love it, it was not exciting at first spray but the dry down mellows out beautifully on me. Just that gorgeous hint of a scent.
My fav at the moment is the new YSL Mon Paris....

Piperok26

Soft, comforting, feminine and pleasant. This is appropriate for the office and is great for all seasons. There is nothing sharp about this fragrance, it's very mellow and has descent longevity and sillage.

phoebe25

This is fresh and bright. Like a sparkling juice. It's crisp, youthful and the notes dance on skin like Springtime. I cannot tell where the floral ends and the crisp citrus begins. It never fails or falls flat. It never bothers me from start to end. It continues to shine on for hours.

Flora possesses the elegance of freedom. The freedom to be romantic head to toe without any shame.
The bottle is beautiful, simple elegance, warm without being tacky.

Southern Blonde

The EDT is a soft floral scent with a mysterious herbal osmanthus. It's color is green. It smells mature but sweet, and there's something fruity about it, probably the citrus. It's easy to wear and very subtle so it's great for wearing to the work place. It's a simple fragrance and smells the same from start to finish. It's a combination light citrus, osmanthus, and patchouli. It's a lovely little garden smell. It reminded me of Quelques Fleurs if it were a light body mist.

turbijuli

I like, I use. it's my everyday floral for now. Notice I am not excited? That's because it's just nice. Like your favorite pair of jeans, not like your favorite sexy dress. The citrus combined with peony and rose work well, but there is no punch, no murkiness, no scandal. the drydown is simple, it just fades, just like those jeans. Still, I use it on a regular basis and am glad it's there, because if it weren't... what would I wear?

FabulouslyLazy

I have just read on the magazines that there is a 'new' Flora EDT, namely Gucci Flora Anniversary Edition. The difference should be the introduction of pear and leather notes - really looking forward to testing it because I am addicted to Flora. Especially now, during the spring.

GGLiCious

My all time favourite (well, top 5 actually). Simple, innocent & very pretty scent. I never get bored or tired to smell Flora. It's a must have in my collection if my bottle was about half way to go. I really love the adds & the commercial. Very captured the feeling of the scent itself. It's floral but been blended tons of citrus fruits. Unfortunately i didn't get too much roses in Flora because i really love rose. It's my favourite flower. I do get the smell of sharp peony & leathery osmanthus to it, along with fresh citrus creamy mandarin, until Flora fades away on me. But in the dried down Flora smells a bit musky (patchouli pink pepper combo) but still buttery creamy floral fruity feel to it. I still remember a year after it released, my best friend bought a gift set and she showed me that and i'm like "OMG are you serious???" And we opened up, tried the whole things in the set..... Oohhhhh my Gucci..... Very pretty Flora.... It's lasts 8 to 10 hours on me with a moderate sillage. Not overpowering. Easy to wear, casual. Quite versatile imo. The bottle are nice too but quite frustrated to get out the pretty juice inside when it's about to finish hahahaaa....

Madrona

Gorgeous floral. I really love peony and the pink pepper is for once not nauseating to my nose. Still not special enough to warrant a full bottle in my mind. A few more wearings warranted.

msmariagomez

Hmm... I don't know why this one is called 'Flora'. Its not floral enough to have that name.

The floral notes are there, but the citruses dominate the scent from beginning to end, leaving the floral (and sandalwood) notes in the background.

Its a very nice and safe fragrance, nothing special.

vwgirl123

This smells like women over 50 shopping at Santana Row in California.

Martaynd

Update Feb. 2016 - made the decision. Returned it today. Just could not be pleased with it.

Martaynd

Jan. 2016. I've owned my bottle for years!! Never excites me. I smell more of the bottom notes. Want to smell more of the fresh floral notes. Want to like it, but..., not yet.

abbyofthevalley

Judging by all the positive reviews on this it would be fair to assume that my skin chemistry and this scent just are not a winning combination. On me this just smells super soapy, sour, with cucumber, an underlying touch of some foul animalic, and expired milk. Unfortunately in my case this one is a "scrubber". It just turns my stomach. Forgive me dear fans of this fragrance and anyone reading though the reviews that might be considering this product. This is just my own personal experience. Maybe I would have better luck with it during the warmer months.

Green Floral Gucci

This has got to be the most subdued, delicious patchouli in perfume I have ever had the pleasure of smelling. When I smell a perfume on myself or others, or on blotters, my nose immediately picks up on the foundatin of base notes. The notes listed here as base notes include patchouli and sandalwood. I did not pick up on either. Faint patchouli, like it was in the distant background. I got green notes but it could be the green leaves of patchouli combined with the green leaves of the osmanthus which is found in the heart/middle notes. I didn't get any rose or citrus orange notes. I was able to smell the peony. To me this is a green patchouli-osmanthus with a fragrant peony. It can initially disappoint you as it does sort of smell like a generic you've smelt it before at Macy's or Nordstrom's fragrance. But it's really subtle and complex, despite the simple linear arrangement of notes. It's very mysterious and dark, but still very sweet, like a pretty young girl hiding behind flowers bushes. But she is not innocent nor a child. She is a young lady beckoning a man to join her behind the bushes, for you know what. This is really nice! Bravo Gucci. I would not mind buying another bottle.

Christineaah

This is a beautiful, sweet fragrance.

I first bought this and loved the scent and then returned it because it just felt too light for my past taste.

a year past and I still couldn't get this scent out of my head. I would always smell it when in Ulta or Sephora and love it every time.

I eventually found a bottle at Nordstrom rack on sale ! I have since used the entire bottle and plan on purchasing more.

The sillage on this is not heavy at all. But if you are looking for a feminine, floral and sweet scent that is understated. This is the perfume for you.

ellina1984

Pleasing is how I would describe this. Mildly fruity, with lactonic peach notes, mildly floral (faint jasmine is there), lightly sweet, with a warm bade including vanilla. The middle smells like warm apricot jam scented with vanilla, and is somewhar soapy at times. A your-skin-but-better kind of scent. The drydown is musky and milky, and a hazy fruity - floral aspect is still there.
I agree this scent is suitable for all ages, all seasons and any occasion.

MadMadamMimm

This smells exactly like what I picture Elizabeth Taylor wearing in the original Father of the Bride with Spencer Tracy. Wonderful.

laura21774

I like this one. Don't love it, but like it. To me this smells really generic. I feel like I keep seeing frags that are recent releases that smell generic. I don't know if I would spend my money on it, but I wouldn't turn it down as a gift, either :-)

This one is pretty linear on me. It smells the same when I first spray it vs many hours later albeit the flowers aren't there so strongly anymore. The citrus and flowers mesh nicely to create a fresh, uplifting feel. There is no sweetness to my nose. The patchouli is what makes me like this a lot. I love patchouli and something about my chemistry really plays it up. The patch here is nice, toned down and gives a woody feel to the florals. Flora reminds me of a bright, sunny early spring day with a nip in the air.

This is an all around nice, very inoffensive fragrence. Good for daytime and would be perfect for the office.

jana.hullinghorst

I'm a big fan of osmanthus and peony so this one was a no brainer for me. It's non complex, easy to wear, and lasts a good while. Just a pretty fragrance, simple as that. No more, no less. Great for spring just as others say. It is ironically strong for being made with such "soft smelling" flowers so spray with caution.

Contessa01

Non-offensive floral which is perhaps a bit too generic. I expected to be hit with a floral bouquet a la Beautiful or Dior J'adore but it is woodsy and balmy. A bit hard to distinguish when you are wearing it.

nancyjoyl

I love this. Sex in a bottle. Definitely an evening scent but I wear it during the day just because...

electricmind

This has been sitting on my mother's vanity for awhile. I read reviews and the notes and knew I wouldn't like it but I tried it anyway.

This smells like too tart and too sweet lemon lime soda pop.

Something about it smells masculine on me. And I have no clue what that is. I do enjoy peony so that a saving grace for me but other than that, I can't tolerate it. I get no pepper or anything remotely spicy.

I think the non descript citrus notes annoy me. There needs to be some balance. Too much!

I'll pass and stay with my Lola by Marc Jacobs that has the peony and rose that I like.

Melaniejane

To me this perfume just smells like spring. It's a floral but very light and not overpowering so great to wear every day. The bottle is quite heavy and definitely has a luxury feel about it. One of my favourites that I go back to again and again

Martaynd

There are floral notes here that I get a whiff of and I love them, but they are overpowered by the patchouli or some other non floral and that ruins it for me. The bottle just sits on my shelf and never gets used. I've had it for a few years. I go to it every once in awhile hoping something will change. The floral notes lure me in and I have hope and then I spritz it and remember why I don't wear it. I'd suggest it be reformulated and minimize the patchouli or use a different warmer fragrance for the base.

Deirdre1969

I'm of two minds about this perfume, but neither of them is love. More like like/hate.
Sometimes when I sniff the bottle I get warm/powdery/rich smells, kind of like Tresor. But I can't wear Tresor either, lol.
Sometimes I smell it and it's just heavy syrupy stale-air-in-boudoir and kind of nauseating.
I've tried it on my skin twice, and it was intriguing, but I wanted a break from it.
This is sad, because it's such a beautiful bottle. (I only have an almost-empty bottle, and it didn't have a bow so I put one of my own on it. It looks so pretty... reminds me of the song "Lemon Tree" LOL)

(I bet many are too young to remember the words, so here is the refrain:

Lemon tree, very pretty, and the lemon flower is sweet
But the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat." )

reereetuna

Thete are very few perfumes that i truly cant tolerate but this is one of them . I dont know what it is that i am smelling, but it smells like pee on me. Straight up urinal. I actually thought i got a bad sample and went to sephora for a fresh one. Same result. Revolting. And i have not smelled that note in any other fragrance. Can anyone help me identify it......for future reference.

mylilacs

AHHHHH I'm so sad about this perfume. T_T

I absolutely love the osmanthus flower, their scent is sweet and up lifting, very bright and a little fruity. Real osmanthus is such a joy to smell and during their blooming season you can smell a tree full of osmanthus flowers from miles away!

HOWEVER, the osmanthus in the Gucci Flora is NOTHING like the real flower. I can tell that the main note is suppose to be the osmanthus but it's just a mucky, dirty, and soapy osmanthus. The dry down is a powdery, sweet, but again, murky osmanthus. I thought of the color GREY when I smelled this on my wrist. I was so so sad.

The citrus and other florals are pretty much non-existent on my skin. I don't think there should have had any spice notes in this perfume, it kind of ruin the osmanthus. Or maybe they just didn't get the osmanthus extract right.

It's so hard to find perfumes with osmanthus notes, and I had high hope for this one, being from Gucci, but I was so disappointed.

Deirdre1969

This looked, sounded and smelled beautiful (in the bottle). I sprayed it on my arm and it was lovely for a couple of minutes, then started to get all heavy/musky (the patchouli?) and continued to sit there being heavy/musky like my grandmother's mahogany coffee table (with the sweets on it) for a long time.
I washed it off, and then, strangely, it started to smell pretty. If there is a rollerball version of this, I would be very interested to try it!

P.S. I think it may have been the osmanthus. I just read a little more about that flower. (?) Edit: The info about the flower included that it can smell leathery... so I thought maybe the heavy/musky vibe came from that?

Megamind

I'm getting annoyed with this flower scent. It stays linear on the skin from the beginning of the application till the end. It was very pleasant scent in the beginning. But it becomes rather annoying and a little bit cloying. Sweet osmantus flowers mixed with patchouli make me feel sick.
I won't repurchase it the second time even if I get compliments on this perfume.
Amazing lasting power (more than 12h) and projection by the way.
Just not for me.

Gingercat77

Uplifting, refreshing and beautiful!!

Gingercat77

My husband bought me this at duty free returning from Spain last year. To me, its beautiful. Anything with orange blossom or white flowers uplifts my spirits and i find this scent refreshing and energising without being too sweet or cloying. A real winner for me. I love it and hope my big bottle will last forever. ❤️

ScarlettX

I sense it as sweet, aqautic and fruity fragrance. I don't consider it so floral, actually.
Also, I have noticed that many Gucci's fragrances have some kind of sweet sythetic-smelling note to them. (except Guilty)
So this one also has this note. I don't like it because of it.
I can't say much about notes, because I only can think of sythetic watery sweetness.

orlowska.joanna

To me smells like happiness :)it is nothing exotic, nor complex or any unexpected dry downs. It is simple, easy and beautiful, and it just makes me happy every time I wear it.

megkaybeee

This perfume hypnotizes! Was so-so at the beginning, but, the more I sniffed my wrist, the more I liked it! The middle and base notes are very sophisticated. Somehow, I feel like this is most suitable for mature ladies (let's say around 30+).

victoriagrace

Powdery-floral scents that smells too light. Nothing special

Allary

This turned into a decaying vase of flowers for me after 15 minutes.

jxssicamidnight

Hahaha at the Flora margarine comments, I agree, however I was able to get past the name and I quite enjoy the fragrance, after a while it smells like jellybeans on me, which is quite less floral than expected..

Alexandrarae

Unfortunately "Flora" in Australia is the name of a brand of margarine! I have tried it a couple of times but just can't get past the name. Guess there are enough similar fragrances so won't be purchasing it. Smells nice enough but don't "have" to have it!

callmejoejoe

What I like about Flora is how it gives me a different experience every time I wear it - especially the top notes. Most of the time it's an overpowering scent of peony on me but just now I'm smelling lime. The heart of this fragrance is just fabulous - very elegant. My body loves perfumes so the base notes can stay with me for 8 to 10 hours - sillage is rather moderate for me.

fiouu

After a while not wearing this (since february - summer in Argentina) I picked it up after I saw the silver bands of the box shimmering in my wardrobe, I remember that I wasn't very fond of it because while it was nice it was not love. Today I had this ephiphany, if this was more chemically sweet and fake this would smell like Armani Si. Why do I like this more? I like florals that are florals, and after all this is a floral, a particular one. Starting off by the blast of Pink pepper and citrus, peony and osmanthus it seems gaggy and awful. Then the osmanthus shines revealing a leathery quality, not the kind of cologne-bitter-leather you find everywhere. You can tell it's a flower that smells like the faintest of leathers. Patchouli rarely comes across, gives this fragrance a base, slightly woody and herbal. I already reviewed this, hated it and then liked it again. Flora you never cease to reveal new faces. It May seem bland and generic, but When you find the right amount to use, the right temperature and the right mood, this is joyous.
Amazing longevity, with close sillage, a breath of fresh air among Girls wearing LVEB in 32°c.
Ps: I don't know a single person Who owns or wears this.

Togiii

This is my go to perfume for now. I layer it with VS body mist - Amber romance and stays for a long time. I encountered this perfume on coincidence; I swapped it with another perfume lover and before doing so I reviewed the notes, which were exactly what I was looking for in a perfume. :)

mlleghoul

I have seen multiple reviews in which Flora is described as "girly". I will go one beyond that - this smells exactly like a perfume that might be included in a "big girl's makeup box", maybe something Mattel made in the 80's for little girls who loved playing with Barbie. This smells like a 6 year old's idea of what grown up ladies might smell like when they go on dates or shopping or whatever imaginative fancy 6 year olds come up with.
I cannot even really pick out specific notes - just a cloying, strangely apricot-ish scent with something fresh/vaguely ozonic floating underneath. I don't necessarily like to write reviews about scents that I do not like, and so I won't say I hate this. I think this would probably be nice for high school girls, but anyone older than that might feel silly wearing it.

me.four.real

Every time I smell this, it always make me want to gag. I don't know what note I'm smelling but its kind of hot and syrupy and smells like some sort of a bitter fruit (if that makes sense). Gives me a headache and I keep smelling it throughout the day. It's nauseating for me. It's supposed to be a fragrance for younger women but this just screams old lady to me. My mom likes it so it's better off with her.

mirrorghost

disclaimer: i am only trying this because i got it as an extra from someone, full well knowing it is the opposite of what i generally like. i like to try new things though, so there it is.

this is one of those fresh florals that is very strong and what i think of as "aquatic" like, strong, sweet florals with strong chemical notes. plus peony and pink pepper mostly don't work with my skin chemistry. it seems to amp it up really strongly, i wish it was softer.

Vegas Pauli

A strong, rich and sweet floral. Not terribly unique, but the composition is really nice. Has the same heavy floral fruity elements of Oscar's Volupte but without the incense. Buttery and heavy, it def smells better on the skin than from the bottle. Nothing subtle or cheap about this one; its seductive, powerful and expensive smelling. Thumbs up.

lindafoley58

Got my first bottle today & love it! All of this because of this site. Thanks for introducing this to me.

shasta

The sandalwood in this is really good. I find it makes for a more interesting fragrance than had Gucci used a musky base.

LouPerry

I don't often seriously miss judge perfumes I think I'l like, this however was an exception.
Maybe its the Osmanthus in the middle as I know (am pretty darn sure) I like all of the other notes listed.
I really didn't like this one!! :(
I guess it just doesn't work with my chemistry.

Good Longevity though I s'pose ...It survived me trying to wash it off!

dreamz_ash

Beautiful, sweet , fresh and I really love it!! Not too heavy, I can always count on this scent smelling nice on hot days in FL. Its one of my most used perfumes and its my mans favorite on me

mrskk

Pretty, clean, fresh floral scent, this perfume reminds me of Emotion Rasasi for women but softer version

jackiec87

This perfume is really gorgeous. I bought it recently and I literally own over 70 bottles of perfume but this is quickly climbing to the top of my list. The problem with most rose fragrances is they end up smelling very old lady-ish when I wear them but that's not the case with this perfume. It is just the right amount of floral and sweet so that it doesn't become to sweet or to mature it's the perfect balance. They say that this is aimed at the younger market but I think anyone in there 20s or older can wear this perfume and it's so lovely that I think it could be worn as a day or evening scent. All in all if you are looking for a floral with just the right amount without smelling like a bouquet this ones for you.

Aeris

I finally found a floral based Gucci fragrance that I like. I'm sorry, but the Garden Collection was horrible...especially the Magnolia and Tuberose ones which were very chemical-like and smelled nothing like the flowers they claimed to emulate (I would know, I grew up with said flowers in my garden). Well, now that I've lost any potential for gaining upvote balloons....on with the Flora review.
I should've purchased this one first. Flora is a beauty. It's a soft, sweet citrus floral. It's beautiful in all its simplistic, innocent beauty. I picture myself walking in a Victorian or Chinese garden while wearing a long, flowy dress when I wear Flora. I was also pleasantly surprised to see osmanthus make an appearance. It's a lovely, unique exotic flower that I haven't smelled in many perfumes. I also find Flora to be very sweet, which I personally like. It smells like sugared exotic flowers and mandarin. This is a happy fragrance that temporarily makes me feel like all is ok with the world.

shasta

So glad I bought this, cause I thought I wouldn't like it. Smells so pretty and elegant. The patchouli: non-existent. The citrus: barely detectable. I wish the florals were a bit more lush but understandably, this is an innocent perfume. But not really. the sandalwood gives this a slight headiness. I just want to take a shower and drown myself in a cloud of this.

raunchy

Not my kind of taste, but i love it!!

Juliana6

Pure, a classic feminine fragrance. Yes, it's simple, but that's where its strength, the key to its popularity is. Sometimes you just don't want anything complex, unique, over the top, so this could be it. But I don't think it's boring!
I think it's a safe, versatile and just beautiful perfume. It has no limits -no age limits, no wearing time limits, no season limits.
Just like a warm breeze coming over the fields of gold in the evening when the sun is about to set, when everything stays still to celebrate the arrival of a quiet, warm summer night.

Arlene-Beatrix

I like it very much! It is delightful floral scent, like a strong blooming bouquet. Not too strong, but it definitely makes a statement.
For a bold floral scents' lover, I would say.

Update: It smells very similar to Fraiche version.

KaleyQ

Smells very feminine, but doesn't last long. I wish it lasted longer. I love the way the citrus and floral scents compliment each other. They blend perfectly in this fragrance.

musi1701

Und wieder mal die Körperchemie,wo nicht mitmacht! Kann leider nicht tragen.

MsDana

A lovely fresh floral scent, with citrus sweetness. A very pretty fragrance. Who cares if it is not "unique" enough, why can't a perfume simply be beautiful? This is a beautiful feminine fragrance, and I am enjoying it because of it's simplicity.

g1gglesg1rl

I just got this yesterday and I love it. Is it possible for floral to be yummy? I dont know but Gucci have managed it in this perfume. I almost feel like it has some vanilla mixed into the flowers. Just beautiful not a boring scent at all

thatjacksonchicck

The bottle of this perfume is gorgeous i think that i find my favorite perfume..this!!!
When i wear it,i feel the smell of autumn...great!!!

napiergirl

Tried today ,the dry down is nice , but the first hour all I got was the smell of hairspray , be it lovely hairspray but wouldnt buy ...anyone else get that fresh out of a salon vibe with this?

sureyya

Oh, this is the gem I wore on my wedding day.. I truly love it...

harrypotter99

un classico accordo agrumato che sposa un accordo legnoso, è particolarizzato dall' osmanto. sicuramente perfetto per una personalità apparentemente fragile e distante, un lungo abito di organza e via...

2746cstreet

Flora, to my nose, is almost an osmanthus soliflore. Save a bit of peony and pink pepper.
It's soft and feminine. The apricot tones of osmanthus give it a lush, fruity quality. Flora is slightly fleshy, but very fresh.
I can't say it's particularly special, but it is very wearable and easy to like.

BeautifulDynamite

I've always love this perfume. It literally smells like clean skin...

dcookoo

I had preconceived ideas of Flora being an over the top sickening floral scent. However, when I was given a bottle as a gift I was quite pleasently suprized, I get more of a citrus-floral vibe from this. Initally, I get a burst of mandarin orange with the peony, with a small amount of the citrus aswell. The other floral notes in this perfume do not come into play until at least 30 minutes on the skin. Then, after that, I can smell rose and a slight hint of patchouli. The mandarin orange does a good job at balancing the floral notes, and stopping Flora from becoming an over the top floral scent. I applied this about 9 hours ago and can still smell it on my wrist, so no problems with the longevity.

Overall, I like it. Will I re-purchase? Probably not, but I'll enjoy using this bottle up nevertheless. A worthy buy if you're looking for a well balanced floral scent with good longevity.

7/10.

deetopia

Nice flowery perfume, but unfortunately do not last long. :(

aym

On me this is a wonderful soft floral and I really like the scent. The only thing is that for me it seems like a spring/summer scent. I bought a small bottle and wear it twice a week but I am still looking for a fall/winter scent. Any suggestions? I don't think it last very long compared to my other perfumes but I still love it.

katushka37

Flora is one of those EDT that didn't agree with me. It smells very strong on my skin with huge and suffocating hit of sweet florals. It actually made me move away from rloral scents all together for a while. I am slowly re-introducing myself to florals, wearing predominantly white and mild rose.

Mercedesxoxo

Flora is about the ONLY strong floral that I can enjoy. It's just sweet enough to tone down the often-harsh white florals whilst drying down to a creamy sandalwood base. It's fresh and beautiful and sophisticated while still being youthful. A much better scent than any recent Gucci creation, in my opinion.

It is one of the few perfumes (Angel, Black Orchid, Le Male) that lasts all day on my dry skin. Sillage is amazing so it can be quite strong for those around you. When wearing Flora during the day I like to walk through the spritz or spray it on my skin before dressing. I have made myself sneeze with a couple of early liberal applications!

I have yet to smell Flora on anyone but myself so it could be a unique signature for a lucky woman. And the glass bottle is not bad to look at on your vanity either.

tanzp

i have a 50 mill bottle edt 90% full to swap i live in newzealand ;]

Scout

This is light and pleasant and good for work. I like the streak of rose that emerges. And the faint (ever so faint) fruit keeps it bright and energetic. It does have what I call a "thin veil" aura about it, the same one that appears in Bvulgari, D&G, and Guerlain florals. It's not quite the same smothering a veil as in some of those lines, which is why I can wear this. I think No. 5 Premiere is more classy, and if I had to choose, would go with Premiere. But this is certainly a winner and manages to be both modern and old fashioned at the same time. I will like to find this lingering on my blouses.

Селина.Волкова

One of my favorite perfumes its amazing and I just LOVE IT!!!

z3irr

my top fevoret one

Beautyx

Fell in love when i first smelled it, so girly and sweet :)

blackw0lfx

Floral and citrus. i do get some pepper which adds a little kick. while sweet it isnt the marshmellow type of sweet. for a floral i kind of like this one. a day time fragrance that could be worn to work. a spring or summer fragrance. every now and then i get a vanilla quality which is really nice. it is a bit tart smelling, which i think when paired with the pepper makes it a little more sophisicated. i tend to like more unisex fragrances, but i think i could wear this in spring. it kimda makes me think of eating a pastry outside in spring with a glass of oj for breakfast.

i asked my husband and he said peppery vanilla. i really like this.

Museumgal

Very fresh citrus in the opening, and sweet at the same time. However about an hour in when the citrus fades it turns into a rather generic floral. The opening is the most interesting part. It's inoffensive and light and good for the office. However it doesn't really stand out very well.

marily

Overpowering floral scent which causes you a headache and nausea.....It's not of my favourite Gucci's perfumes....I would highly recommend to test to your skin before purchasing

fiouu

This is litteraly pure osmanthus juice (at least on my skin). When I was young, my parents sent my brother and I to a club for a month or so in summer (we live in argentina). It was kind of like a summer camp, except we went there every year (you were admitted until.you turned 14) and we got there at 9 am and left forlunch I guess. In the club there was a huge shrub that was always surrounded by bees so we weren't allowed to go near it, it was really close to the pool area so the 'counselors/teachers' were careful with the bees. One day I took a bunch of those sticky white flowers and found out that if you took the bottom of it, pulled and removed the bulb and sucked on the 'straw' (how we used to call it) you would taste a honey-like sweet substance. The smell of the shrub itself was sweet, this translated wonderfully in Flora, it's not sweet in an overtly chemical way, it's more like herbal/natural sweetness. It's not bad if you like to smell like osmanthus, but it's aswell quiye strong and my.colleagues find it quite nauseating, it lasts forever, and if overapplied can give you the barfs/headaches. If you've bought it and feel like there's something missing (in my case I like it but the osmanthus is just so weird/off putting) I found out you can use the herbal sweetener for perfumes that are extremely dry/sour (chanel 19/ chance eau fraiche/ paco rabanne metal cabotine, etc) to add a little something, this is only my experience since Flora translated into osmanthus and pink pepper, no sandalwood, no rose, nothing

cobralily

This one, for my preference, is far too sweet. I only get the slightest hint of floral before it is totally mitigated by sweet, sweet and more sweet. That's just my opinion, if you love sweet, this one is for you.

bloueyhunz

Somehow expecting the scent will be soft in my own perception but when i apply it, i felt headache of it's smell. Its just not for me i guess. I still have a full bottle of it.
A friend of mine said this perfume is more when we have a special occassion in the evening.

umtaleb

This is so over-powering when first applied. One hot mess until dry-down.

If you survive to dry-down, it develops into a well-executed floral. The mandarin orange seems to go overly sweet on my skin, almost to distraction. The base notes seem to get swallowed up as well.

Smells divine on paper and a work colleague.

Strongly recommend skin test before purchase.

nineredberries

I like this perfume, a great every day fragrance, for the office or on the run.
I live in a hot country and this works well it is a fresh scent, it is not overpowering and bugs aren't attracted to the sweetness.
I don't enjoy the smell of patchouli as it gives me a headache however the citrus works well with the patchouli in this case.

kmlundgren

NicoleO -- LOL! I'm 55 and liking Flora -- I'm feeling a bit silly, but I'm wearing it:)

Ttirem3

Too strong at first, but something soft cuts the edge and sends it into being a little piece of heaven on the skin...rests like a pillow--gentle, soft and flowery!

NicoleO

I must start by saying I am not a fan of florals. I usually going for orientals, and only tried this at a friend's suggestion. Surprisingly, there is nothing I don't like about this fragrance, and I have not stopped sniffing at my wrist since I put it on.
At first spray, I completely discounted it, but as soon as the base notes came through it was a whole new story. It's fresh and citrusy, slightly woody, and smells like spring. Flora is going straight to my Wanted list.
Now my only concern is that as Gucci is aiming this at a younger audience, and I've just hit 40, am I too old to start wearing this? Gee, I hope not!

arwen38

Love this scent! I get a soft floral with a slight crispy vibe. It must be the pink pepper which works great with my chemistry. On my skin I also get a soft peony note but not overpowering.

annemeimei

Honestly, I never thought I would love this one...but hahahahahah I really love this one!!! I've always been the sweet and fruity type of person that always just wanted to smell sweet and edible...but this one???? I smelled it on my friend and I just have to stop her and ask what was she wearing!!!! I asked her 2 times that day and complimented on how she smelled over and over again... then I knew I need to own that perfume!!!! I was pretty shocked to know that she's wearing Gucci Flora..because I never thought I was the floral kind of girl... but this is a really lovely sweet floral scent! This is a really beautiful scent. I had the longest debate with myself whether if to get the EDT or EDP because I do want a long lasting one... but then I thought if I enjoyed how my friend smelled like so much and prolly EDP will be different as some people commented that the smell is sharper..then I think I just will not go wrong with the EDT. Anyways I don't regret it a bit since I love how it smells!!!! Seriously, your nose knows better than what you think you know about yourself!!

Memi_La

One of my favorite floral scents. I don't get a lot of the citrus scent on my skin at all. It's mostly the peony and osmanthus I pick up on with a little bit of rose. I think the pink pepper and sandlewood in the dry down are really beautiful and set it apart from the standard fruity floral perfumes I'm used to smelling. It's a good balance of unique enough to stand out from the standard fruity florals but common enough (porbably thanks to the patchouli and rose) to not offend too many people when you're out in public.

tinyxxangel

This perfume is much too sweet for me -- on my skin it is sadly just a creamy scent.. no florals or fruit to be detected.

Gucci is my favorite brand perfumes. I love Flora because it make me happy and fresh. But it not long lasting because it EDT not EDP.

Farapwincesz

I recently got this perfume and i was sooo excited because when i smelt it in the sample it smelled amazing!
When i bought the actual perfume and sprayed it on me i was sooooo dissappointed, it didnt smell like the sample at all, i cant believe i spent so much money on this perfume.

Mysticalili

I tried this perfume and fell in love with it after some minutes when the scent turned into something similar to Un Jardin Apres la Mousson by Hermès. Maybe it was the pepper in it. Definitely not a floral perfume like the others. Simply brilliant!

Norrizan

Like some other reviewers, I do feel the smell is reminiscent of other scents around but I Do like it nonetheless. I like citrus notes and the pairing with roses is quite lovely.
Towards the middle, it turns warmer and I get a whiff of vanilla? A bit sweet, nicely done. Makes you feel cosy.
This is a classy, cosy, feminine scent. It doesn't need to scream out loud to announce it's worth.
Unfortunately, it lasts only maybe an hour. Sillage is weak. I don't understand the sales asst who told me the edt is rather strong!

nellyrlight

I wanted to love this..but it didn't stay on my skin..and turned as a sour smell..but the ones who love it, enjoy it!

minalistic

I thought Flora was good when I first smelled it, and I bought it and I was wrong.
It's too strong, too citrus-y for me, it's almost too noisy ! I think i'm going to give this to someone.

MintyBobbins

I found Flora by an accident, as a matter a fact I didn't even know of it's existence... but a few days ago, I was on a store, and the beautiful bottle caught my eye. Well.. I have to say it was love at the first sight.. I think Flora is beautiful!! Yes, it is a very soft fragrance, very subtle indeed.. but that's why I think is great.. is tender, feminine and delicate, close to my skin.. sometimes is good to have a scent like this. I have many fragrances for almost any occasion, this one is absolutely pretty, safe and confortable.. I love Flora..

cyncyn123

My boyfriend loves this on me. Says its better then juicy c.

Radchick

This starts off as a pure floral, with a bitter note that I can't recognize. That note smells like black coffee to me, but others don't smell it on me. I can't detect the individual flowers, its more of a medley of floral notes. As it dries down, this becomes sweeter and powdery. I don't like that weird note though. Otherwise I would find this very pretty.

AnyaZ

I picked this one out to redeem for the voucher out of a Sephore gift sample pack, and it is a pleasant, "safe" scent, though somewhat boring. It will not be my daily go-to scent, as it does have this "plastic" predictability along the melon or cucumber lines (but clearly synthetically rendered). Makes me think of Barbie dolls for whatever reason. It lengthens the staying power of some Miller Harris natural fragrances (which I love) like Jarmin Vert, Fleurs de Sel, or Noix de Tubereuse, so can be agood layering scent.

Britt005

i really liked this fragrance . unfortunately something ( and i really think it's the patchouli) gives me headaches. it's even so bad that i can't sleep if i wear it to bed.

it's a lovely classy fragrance.
it's definitely not something everyone will like , because it's not really common.
it's a quite original and it smells like luxury and freedom. the bottle design is fabulous definitely my Favorite!!
the osmanthus and sandelwood give it a mysterious and oriental smell while the peony and the citrus make it a bit lighter.
i hate it that it gives me such head aches otherwise i would wear it everyday!

Pez_Enelrio

I received it from my boyfriend more than a year ago and I still have the half of it. I wouldnt have bought it for myself, but he likes it a lot, and generally saying men like it a lot. They describe it as an agressive but pleasant smell, so I wear it in parties, and whe we go out together. But definitely not an everyday scent, not for me.

Angeldelight900

I had this perfume for 3 years straight it was defo my signature perfume, the parfum one is better but more expensive so i stuck to this one, sweet floral goodness, love it, i got slightly bored of it for wearing it qll the time but i will defo go back to it soon, i wouldn't be bored forever its too nice, perfect for a night out in the summer, its lasting power is really good aswell

EauSensuelle

The very nice lookalike notes of Gucci Flora may make you think that it is a very well behaved, nice, interesting floral which smells somewhat like J'adore, by Christian Dior. However, do not be fooled; the notes may look very pleasing, but the fragrance itself is what you may sigh at and say "Oh dear".

This fragrance smells like a very light, soft floral. It's too soft to notice. I think the killer for this fragrance is the osmanthus. Osmanthus generally smells very nice, and it requires a very nice background of other notes to maintain that sort of a stature. Gucci Flora is completely lacking that va-va-voom temperament.

When you spray this on your skin, it smells very clean. Not sweetishly clean, but just clean. I enjoy catching small whiffs of it on others, but on my skin, it screeches like metal being rubbed on road. A very close friend of mine loves this stuff, and she thinks I'm making a niminy-piminy old fuss over something that smells very unique and complex. I'm sorry but that's the thing to which I heartily disagree.

Well, Flora really didn't do the trick for me. Try it if you may, but be careful; this squeaky clean floral is not as innocent as it seems to be.

suhaesa

imho i think there is a rotten note in the back ground of this perfume ,you know the smell of rotten water that has been left in a plastic bottle for a year or the smell of rotten laundry that didn't dry properly in humid weather..now that we talked about the rotten part we can move on o the better part,i think its a young perfume made for younger girls, light floral i get the notion that it has flora bacteria that lives in the guts..
it smells like cheaper perfumes from the one dollar shop or imitations made in china..and i am really serious about the after rotten smell ,as soon as you smell it everything is nice fresh and sweet and floral but nothing crisp then immediately you get that rotten note that i cant stand even when it dries down it develops in to two distinct notes a rotten one and a weird rotten floral one ..

I was shaking my head in disbelief when I got a sample of this and tried it without a hope in the world to like it - I just don't go for pure florals, they don't shine on me , they are too discreet and I usually stand out of the crowd here in Germany (a tatar-mongolian blood is running deep there somewhere), plus my skin practically absorbs most floral perfumes. The sample was eau de toilette, and i sort of gave up on it before even trying. I thought - alright, i'll have my 5-minute fun smelling the wrist and then i'll say good-bye to yet another vanishing-all-to-quickly floral. Well, well.. 4 hours later I am trying to figure out where this amazing smell is coming from, then i brush my nose past my wrist accidentally, and it strikes me: FLORA! First of all, I don't believe that eau de toilette in a sample is the same as eau de toilette in regular sizes. Samples are marketing devices, so i bet my bottom dollar that the strength here is amplified. Ignoring this, I must say: this is one of the most well-blended florientals out there. It reminds me a little of ROSE ABSOLUE by Yves Rocher because it has this creamy leather base that gives the scent depth and staying power. Also, I find it quite amazing, that a scent, targeted at a spring/summer season works so well in winter! - this is so seldom found in fresh florals, if at all actually. The only thing I don't like is the name: flora hardly suggests character or gives your imagination a kick. Currently on a hunt for an eau de perfume, hoping it will also be issued in pure perfume at some point. A keeper.

icingsugar

Light, fresh, very citrus oriented. Perfect for spring/summer. Also the EDT lasts for so long, people have complimented me on this hours after I first sprayed. The citrus and florals have a musky sweet undertone but its by no means an overall sweet perfume. Very sophisticated and carefree.

Beagle21

This perfume reminded me of my childhood memories of being in a 5 star hotel. The scent is classy, prim and proper, uncomfortable yet respectable. For some, this scent may mean nothing special, but if worn by a sophisticated woman, this would surely create an impression.

If too many girls would use this perfume, sure, it will smell ordinary. Besides, most can afford to buy this perfume making it ordinary.

A neatly tied hair, casual-formal clothes and a strong personality would give justice to its scent. A laid-back personality wont do.

RoxanaM4491

The best floral fragrance in my opinion that is not too dominated by crisp "white floral" notes like tuberose... for this it can suit younger ages and doesn't smell "mature." Not as fresh-smelling and green, however, as a scent like Beautiful by Estee Lauder.

Has a soft sweet/powdery drydown.

Eaugirlspirit

The reviews have been saying this fragrance is light and crisp and floral, yet when I tried this on my skin, the specific combination of notes blended together conjured up a fluffy, airy vanilla! Nice, but I'm not in love.

dovey

smells sooooo 90's !!!! I remeber when I was a child back then all the lady perfumes smelled like that !!! that floral hard to figure out the notes kindda perfume & once u read about it u discover its got over 17 notes in it !!!
wrong perfume in the wrong era....

rafaellaR.123

I just smelled it and I thought it smells vey rosy and peppery, with some light hints of woods and patchouli. No white florals or citrus. I actually really like it!!

xVal

This perfume is really floral and feminine.
I like it. :)

miza norizan

i LOVE LOVE LOVE this perfume! It's so fresh and perfect and not overpowering. I feel beautiful wearing this.
Great sillage, i just need to spray 2~3 times and it's enough for people to notice the fragrance but not intrusively annoying. I put it in the morning, and can still smell it by the time the office hour is over. I wear a lot of perfume, but this is the only perfume that I won't mind to buy over and over again.

dulcette

i do not dislike this, but this is another generic, safe, floral.

djgirl1976

I first sprayed a bit of this on in Sephora and thought little of it while I was doing some shopping. Then I kept smelling myself and couldn't stop. This was love. I made the mistake of spraying both this and fraiche on seperate arms and couldn't remember which was which, so I had to hunt it down again, but I know I love it:)
The main reason for my obsession? No headache. That is really hard for me to find. I can smell things on others and love them, but when I carry the scent all day I nearly cry. This scent didn't do that at all. Calming, even creamy blend of uniquely unoffensive notes. Love!

jamiah

flora by gucci gives such a sweet smell thru out my day that i kept taking deep breaths just to take in its lovely smell. it doesn't give me those nose-sting smell even at first spray. for me, it last quite a long time coz after i retire from a day's work, it still smell fresh on my skin, even if i just sprayed a little here and there on my clothes. very nice indeed!!

heyjudette

Very beautiful, youthful smelling floral. It's an extremely fresh scent, very spring-like.

cute.love.girl

very nice perfume

Takhaet

Gucci Flora is the kind of a fragrance that I call "safe" . safe because its not too much and not 'not enough". Its perfectly balanced.

It smells of lovely flowers with citruses , a bit sweet and a bit sour. Very light, perfect for work and any occasion. Maybe not very sophisticated but definately has got that something . I love wearing it during a day it makes me feel so ...ligh and fresh.

eunicek

I've had this scent for more than two years now, and it still serves as my favourite! The parfum, eau fraiche and garden collection don't compare to this original scent. This scent is so distinct and special, I intend to keep this as my signature scent!

sandyfeet123

WOW! This turned out to be beautiful scent i shouldnt have judged it,i thought it would have been a strong, floral, mature scent and head-achy.
After testing it i realized it doesnt give me a head ache and it smells very classy and can be day or night,i imagine a woman with classic, polished style and an independent, strong yet loving and kind personality.
I couldnt stop smelling it when it was tested, i dont own it but maybe if i grow to become such a woman one day.. i definitely would :)

jennifer.radcliffe3

i like this perfume. it has a nice floral/vanilla/citrus scent. its defiantly something you could wear every day as its not overpowering.

lindi

The BEST Perfume for me. Love it so much much much

woiny

Very Elegant, classy. i love it so much very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nurul.ain

I've just sprayed this perfume on my skin n I have waited for about 15-20 minutes like that..okay,now I wanna give my sincere comment on gucci flora.

the first spray of it,i smelled zesty-citrusy like scents..then it quickly turned to be floral..i mean, totally floral scent..i don't know what kind of flower that the perfumer used in this perfume.then as it dries down,it turned to be woody-spicy-gingery-balmy n a little bit oriental like scent.

frankly, gucci flora had made me happy n curious to know everything about it.why did I say so is because I am able to tell how the scents are like from the first spray of it,on my skin.so,i quickly turned on the wifi n search for fragrantica.com.the question that came across in my mind was : what kinda compositions that gucci flora has?

luckily, all my guesses are almost correct..there's citrus fruit in it,rose, osmanthus n peony flower...sandalwood,pink pepper n patchouli..the pink pepper n patchouli reminds me of my favourite perfume n that is chance by chanel.it's really a mature scent for me.

Anyway, gucci flora to me is an aristrocrat-like fragrance.it also pictures a woman with elegance n timeless beauty like the princess of monaco, grace kelly..this perfume also has an expensive-smelling kinda fragrance..initially I thought it only suitable for rich n famous people..but I was wrong..it is humbly made as a universal fragrance..which means anyone can use it regardless of who you really are...gucci flora is also classy n sophisticated fragrance..

I used to dislike this perfume last time because it has strong scents n somewhat unpleasant n made me headache..but it's been a while i didn't wear this perfume...so i finally gave myself a second chance, like what i did to chance by chanel..maybe my olfactory senses has improved...and i'm liking it now...thank God.I prefer to wear this perfume in night time..
For those who like light n airy floral scents,i recommend you guys try this one..if u prefer gucci flora to stay longer on your skin, try the edp version.this edt is a lighter ones n the lasting power isn't as good as the edp.

małgorzata.kurpiewska

I love citrus perfumes and this is definitely not my type of scent. I got it as a gift and used it a couple of times and I must say that it's anything but fresh. It is nauseatingly floral, makes me feel old and it has a kind of a disgusting undertone. When I got it I thougt that it's a neutral scent that would not offend anyone. Having used it for a short while, I hate it. Smelling it makes me sick and I'm glad that nobody I know uses it.

vanernl03121995

This is an okay perfume. I'm not a fan of citrus perfumes, I gotta say I'm more of a sweet perfume person but I don't mind using it. I'm definitely not going for a second bottle... really nothing special.

Vamy69

This is a very clean and light scent. It smells amazing but it is too weak for my tastes...if this had some more staying power and was a couple of notch's louder I would buy some in a heartbeat. I am actually surprised that this one is so weak being that it is Gucci...they usually have better lasting power with their fragrances. And for the money they charge for this I would have expected better. This could almost be like a body spray or splash.

sarugli

Think this scent shouldn't offend anyone, it's pleasant, but quite plain. Expected better really, has no power, i barely smell it when wearing it. Def not worth the cost

Nikkiza

1.not as simple as it seems
2.quiet longlasting on my skin
3.a pleasent freindly scent
4.looks adorable
5.a little different from other gucci frags

zanny

1.nothing special. an unmemorable scent.
2.no lasting power.
a disappointment for a GUCCI perfum.

bond_girl1979

It's interesting there is so many mixed reviews on Gucci Flora. I ran out of this one really quickly - which meant it was a favourite of mine. It was also a perfume in which people sitting next to me on a train or bus would ask me what I was wearing. I like the spice and sandalwood "zing" it emits through the floral. It reminds me of a bouquet of exotic flowers with an spicy incense burner on the side. It's very enticing and energising at the same time.

Miss Mego

This scent is really forgettable to me. There is really nothing horrible about it but nothing really great about it either. It's almost air-freshener like on my skin and that's probably what I'll use the rest of my sample for. My Victoria's Secret body sprays have more longevity, sillage and personality. It's a shame a better scent didn't come in that super cute bottle. I was hoping for something better from Gucci.

brettashley

Wan citrus floral with a thin dry sandalwood anchoring this wisp of a scent. I pretty much ended up with a bottle of this by accident. First off, I was skin-testing a couple of different perfumes and mistook the gorgeous creamy floral scent I was getting from a different frag for Gucci Flora. Secondly, I tested the edp but went home with the edt - a much lighter, thinner version of Flora than I wanted to smell like.

Gucci Flora isn't a bad perfume, by any means. I picked it up precisely because I wanted an inoffensive fragrance I could wear during work-related occasions. The problem is, Gucci Flora is utterly unmemorable in any way. And this has the lasting power of a body splash. I'll finish up my bottle because I'd love to display the empty on my dresser (it's so cute!) but this is a perfume I find myself forgetting about even while I have it on.

Vampiris

received a 50ml of EDP version of this for my last birthday..crazily in love with it..it's like a long lost friend..

a warm, rich and refined floral scent..very feminine, youthful and romantic..perfect for dating nights..elegant and girly..decent quality..

the bottle looks perfect, good quality and neat..and i always love fragrance in a glass bottle..

they smell almost identical, but EDP works better, longevity and strength wise..

personally there is a hint of orange cake icing..love it..recommend it..

NaniFiona

Just...I`m in love...
Tried now(half an hour ago, actually), completly skeptical since it`s an EDT, but boy...this is good...
I`ll let you know later how it developed.

UPDATE:
The exotic flowers smell, as someone else described it, enticed me. I was a little disappointed because after 2 hours it seemed to have disappeared ( i applied a little bit of EDP over the EDT), but after 1 more hour I noticed that it was still there, only it was changing a bit...and the most surprising part was when, after 4 hours approximately, when my heartbeat accelerated and my body heated up, a delicious green/fresh note re-surged full force, emanating strongly from my body. Very very sensuous smell!!
I'll buy a full bottle when i have the chance!

Pierina

I recieved this as part of a swap (thanks Nadia)
I was rather nonchalant on it initially.
Lastnight after a shower I felt like having a pretty floral so I had a squirt.
initially I felt this was a just pretty floral.
About half an hour into the wear I felt really transfixed by this beautiful creamy ladylike scent. I think the peony and sandalwood imparts the creaminess and the pepper causes a gentle sparkle.
I wore this to work today and I just loved it everytime I smelled myself. It also rubbed off onto some shared protective equipment and my colleague told me I made it smell nice.
I will say sillage is good as I could smell myself on reentering a small room.
Longevity 6+ hours
