In HS/college, I only really wore body mists, so this was my first ever ‘big girl’ perfume. It meshed well with my skin chemistry and was super wearable/inoffensive in the warmer climate I lived in. I knew nothing about perfume then, so it’s funny that some consider it a gourmand for the freshies/summer since I now *love* gourmands. Years later I met my bf while wearing it, so you could say it’s more of a sentimental keep than a love

bandlgertrude

The jasmine in this reminds me so much of Alien, but more feminine and easy to wear. I can’t really detect the top notes, which is a shame because I love pear. For me the most predominant notes are the almond and the jasmine. Really easy to wear yet I don’t reach for it ever. I have to force myself to use as I have others that I prefer and I have a big bottle. I wouldn’t repurchase once I’m out because of this.

Treachaseff

I used up a sample and wish it worked for me. I'm a fan of the di Gioia line, and all of them have an ingredient that's either cetalox or something similar. This gives them all a fresh, aquatic, slightly tangy soapy feel. With Terra, I smell that aquatic note coupled with a very fluffy almond-scented talcum powder. It's nice, but unfortunately the combination is cough-inducing and chest-tightening. It's almost like trying to drink water and accidentally inhaling makeup powder the same time. As pretty as this perfume is, I feel like I can't take a deep breath when I wear it.

loves2read

A lovely scent, but on my skin it lasts too short. What a shame.

Silverbell

Smells like the beach. Vintage summer, warm almond, and sunscreen vibes. I enjoy this one, smells like a more muted Carner Barcelona Tardes. A softer gourmand for the freshies. Lasts a while too, could still smell it after 7 hours. Not a safe blind buy though, try it out first.

PhantomBelle

This is a pretty, soft & warm feminine leaning perfume that is great for evenings out, special occasions and colder weather. To me, the almond and jasmine are the strongest notes in this, and for that reason it will be an either love it or hate it for most people.

This is a one spray for me, it has good lasting power but can be overwhelming if you do too much.

Not a safe blind buy, but a decent quality & classy perfume for the price. Purchased from: Sephora

Morgan45

I really like this one. It's very soft and creamy and powdery. A very cozy and comforting scent. But make no mistake, this definitely has a bit of a vintage vibe. It's not fully vintage but there is a wee whiff of the 90's in here and I don't mind.

ChelleBelle84

I love the almond blossom note in this. It kind of has a skin musk quality to it. Unfortunately, something entirely too sweet comes in and drowns it out giving me one nasty headache accompanied by nausea. I think it’s the combination of pear, amberwood, and possibly mandarin orange as well. If they would tone down on all that sweetness, this could become a favorite of mine.

Such is life, I suppose. Not a safe blind buy if you can’t tolerate a lot of sweetness or can easily get headaches. Try before you buy. So glad I did.

CrissyCK

Run of the mill powdery fragrance. Nice and simple. Not worth the money, as it's pretty boring. Still pleasant and nice, nonetheless, but underwhelming.

km9699

A gourmand for the fresh/aquatic fans! Creamy almond scent with a dash of baby powder-y musk. Sweet but not too sweet and very nicely blended!

nicolespeedyfast

Huge no for me but it’s 100% personal preference. The almond is the standout ingredient to the point that I can’t detect much else over it. I resent going back to this to try and pick up any other notes. To me this is dry, bitter, powdery, stale, and synthetic. I don’t know why it gives me the impression of very old & cheap art supplies. Maybe play dough? Not a safe blind buy in my opinion, but I really don’t enjoy almond as anything but lightly complimentary in a warmer, sweeter fragrance. Still, I’ll try anything once and this has affirmed my preference to keep almond in the backseat when picking accords.

Guiabananaa

The almond in this makes this headache inducing.

greenbluegray

Almond (creamy rice) IS my love, as is Sensi. This is not quite the same but close enough to reeeeally like, just not with the beautiful staying power of the brilliant Sensi. I will hope for an intense version. I find it warm and classic 90s, both clean and limey-sweet in a non-gourmand way. I love the PlayDoh tint. I blind bought after reading reviews here, thank you all. Please give us shower gel and lotion. I will buy it all! Does not seem like an EDP, but that is what my bottle says. Is there an EDT??? Bottle seems like a piece of sea glass and feels good in the hand, and the color of both bottle and juice are perfect for the scent.

Perfumeislife86

Wow! This literally is Sensi repackaged. I've been trying to find my beloved Sensi for YEARS! This makes me SO HAPPY!

AuthenticAF

Hmm i bought this on a sale expecting to love it, idk i am not in love with this but maybe almond isnt my thing? I will try again and report back, but my thought was this smells “perfumey”. It seems cloying to me.

ava96

Wow, what a beautiful scent! To me there is nothing retro in it and it's definitely a summer scent. There is something about the name and the colour - it reminds me of tiles heated up by the summer sun, someone splashes some water on them, another person passes by with a fresh bouquet... There is something about it which is so different from anything with a similar pyramid that I have smelled so far.

ginandjuicee

This perfume reminds me of when I just received keys to my flat in Barcelona and the sweet period of decorating and making the place cozy. I received a small bottle of Terra Di Gioia for Christmas just a few days before. It’s not what I’d usually pick but it really matched the vibe of Barcelonian winter and will forever remind me of picking up the art for my new flat from the street. I know it might sound silly, but the sweetness of this perfume is not something that reminds of a gourmand taste of one of the notes, it’s more a sweetness that reminds of a good memory - it’s sweet but you can’t really taste it, it’s evanescent.

karlee79

This is Sensi repackaged

dancingdear

I was pretty disappointed.
It’s not bad! But I was hoping with Terra for something really earthy. Instead they made a pleasant not too sweet almond floral. It won’t offend anyone and it is pleasant but the Terra bottle is supposed to represent earth and I think they could have done a lot more.

Helloneighbor

I blind bought this during a BOGO sale on the Armani website and unfortunately I’m disappointed. I was hoping for a warm comforting scent, with more of a nutty earthy almond not. However, what I got was a weirdly dated smelling floral. It honestly smells to me like one of those perfume sample cards inside magazines where you’d lift up the flap on the edge of the page and the scent would be infused with the adhesive they used on the paper. This scent would be from said magazine in1995. It’s a powdery floral that’s devoid of any modernness and instead smells just very dated.

Very sad that I used my BOGO on this

arajuna

I tried this perfume in store, and something about it just immediately captured my attention. I think it’s the fact it’s very cosy, comforting and clean smelling, but is largely devoid of any actual sweetness which is unusual considering the notes. On my skin in particular it comes out as more powdery/musky and very soft, with the almond and jasmine notes dominating the overall composition. I find it really pleasant and easy to wear, but it has a hint of bitterness that keeps it interesting and not generic. I totally understand why some people are likening it to different body creams/other body and hair cosmetics, because it does have a bit of a creamy and crowd pleasing feel to it. This scent is quite close to the skin after the dry down, but luckily it lasts there for a long time, as is also the case with spraying it on clothes. I can see this being my new go to for daytime wear!

vickyney

After reading the online reviews, I took a leap of faith and bought Terra Di Gioia without testing it first. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it at any of my local stores. I was in search of a warm summer scent that wasn't the typical green or fruity fragrance. After only a few days of wearing it, I am pleased to say that I am truly satisfied with this fragrance! It reminds me of the Moroccanoil Treatment Oil, which happens to be my favorite cosmetic scent. These are just my initial impressions, but I'm looking forward to wearing this on a sunny summer day.

Malinda666

Addictive with watery almond.
Somewhat sharp and headacheinducing scent if oversprayed.
Haven´t "timed", so i dont know about longevity yet.

BaraClara

This was a blindbuy on my part, saw someone mentioning Terra di gioia smelling similar to a body lotion I really like and I'm not disappointed.
The drydown is absolutely wonderful, soft and cozy but not too sweet. I find it quite long lasting and as Peaches&Cream said it stays for a long time when sprayed on clothes.
I really love this one and find it to be a very versatile scent.

jazzscent13

This is a creamy cozy amber scent. The almond note is slightly in the background the whole wear time. This has great longevity but it doesn’t project much. This is my second favorite in the Armani Di Gorgio line. I think it’s wearable all year round. It’s very pretty and inoffensive

Peaches&Cream

In my opinion, this perfume is intimate. I feel like it can be worn through the cooler temps and transitioning in the early warm weather. Because it is so soft I will be wearing this as a bedtime scent, It smells like almonds, florals and powder. I like this perfume but I do wish it was stronger.

Update: Throughout the hours I noticed the notes became stronger and more powdery. I went out today and it stuck onto my scarf which made the scent intensify, I can still smell it on my clothes and I sprayed it on at 10am.

stephm42120

She’s very comforting and smells kinda like almond body cream. The bergamot & jasmine in this reminds me of Alien Goddess Intense. I know I can’t be the only one that thinks this. And the amber! It’s very warm and cozy. Perfect for a hot summer to fall day. I love this perfume. It is also long lasting - 7 hours.

edit: when the sun goes down, you just got out of the shower after a long day at the beach, wear this. It’s heavenly.

I layer this with Alien Goddess & it ends up smelling like Alien Goddess Intense with an intensified Amber accord. It’s lovely for a balmy summer night.

shell_bell88

I love this perfume so much. If a warm hug on a sunny day could be bottled this would be it. It’s so soft, but has an incredible scent bubble and longevity is so great. The overspray stayed on my jacket for over a week. While this isn’t a perfect replacement for Sensi- it really does have the same type of feel to wearing it. The almond note is very reminiscent of Sensi. I think I need to buy backups since we know Armani likes to discontinue the great ones!

tomato12

It initially had a shampoo- or hair-product-like scent, but after dry down it had a warm, fresh smell. Although I also detect musk and amber wood, the almond note sticks out to me the most.

Soledad89

A pleasant and sweet fragrance without being too cloying, I pick up on the almond note immediately, not so much the bergamot and orange. The way it blends with the other notes such as the jasmine and amber makes for a beautiful scent. While it's not unique, and it reminds me of several other fragrances, this is something I'd constantly wear. I agree with someone's review below on avoiding to overspray, as it will bring out the musky smell, which I dislike.

celestial

This perfume is sweet and pleasant, although a bit synthetic. It doesn't smell sophisticated but its warmth and sweetness are greatly appreciated in the gloomy cold winter days. I was expecting it to be fleeting based on the reviews, but on me it lasts until the next day (although with minimal sillage). I make sure that I don't overspray it because for me that brings out the musky notes, and I strongly dislike musk.

noodlehead19

very pretty, summery almond. i enjoy the top & middle, but the drydown gives a little bit of a play-doh vibe on my skin (which I do NOT enjoy). furthermore, I can't smell any of the other notes: just a nondescript floral almond at varying intensities. it smells cold in a way I don't know how to explain, but it isn't unpleasant; it reminds me of an expensive lotion. performance is just okay. it won't last me through a whole day, even when I wear it in cold temperatures. I'm decluttering the bottle I have & won't be purchasing again.

sopici6021

It's a beautiful fragrance, but unfortunately it's weak and very flat/linear. What you smell on the first whiff is what you get, and 4 hours later it's gone. It smells like sweet almond paste.

barbiegirl

So happy I have this! I blind bought it many weeks ago, and liked it at first, but wasn't really sure. I sprayed it periodically, getting used to it over time, and now I LOVE it. It's warm and comforting, and feels like home. It gives me that feeling you get on a chilly spring or fall day, when you find the warmest sunbeam on the patio and lay across it, absorbing the warmth from the stone underneath as much as the rays from above. Perhaps this image is cued by the name and color as much as the fragrance... which I guess just attests to the power of a good marketing package that complements the scent! It worked on me. :) Comments below mention a plastic-y and / or a lipstick-y note, maybe flirting with the play-doh effect, and I get that too. It's a little bit waxy in the best possible way. It's calm, peaceful, warm and quiet. Not a party or make-an-entrance scent... more of a thoughtful-conversation-on-the-patio-with-a-glass-of-wine scent. I highly recommend wearing it more than once to get to know it. I found that with a little bit of time, this "like" became a true "love"!

Vegas Pauli

This reminds me of some other fragrance and it is driving me nuts as to what is causing this deja vu effect to my nose. This is kind of plasticy and vanillaish and doesn't really match the notes or packaging. This is unisex leaning masculine to my nose as I am thinking the "amberwood" note is the one sticking out above and beyond the rest. I had the SA spray a card as I was out the door after I purchased a 1 oz bottle on final clearance for $19 (I thought it would make a nice last minute gift or stocking stuffer). It's hard to tell on paper but I get a warm synthetic vibe but it's nice and somewhat elegant. I'm really digging this one, I just might keep it for myself....

InfiniteStarla

Very pretty, soft almondy scent. I bought a 30ml bottle blind a while ago, as I adore almond, pear and jasmine so figured I couldn't go wrong. The scent is really lovely, but I've just been trying to use it up as it isn't something I reach for when I go out as the longevity and sillage aren't that great. It seems to last fairly well on clothes but not on skin. I wear it in the evening at home, as it's quite warm and comforting, whilst still being fresh and light enough for summer, and I find myself wondering why I don't like it more, as really it is genuinely very pleasant, and the almond note is gorgeous - slightly creamy, very body lotion-esque kind of vibe (almost like Palmer's cocoa butter maybe?), the almond isn't dissimilar to that in Elie Saab Girl of Now (but much less syrupy sweet). I'm wondering if it's one I might miss once it's gone, but equally it doesn't wow me in any way.

rienkat

On my skin this smells like a summer version of narciso rouge. Terra is less cloying, more airy, lighter and sweeter (especially in the drydown) and also performs worse (but nothing terrible!). This lasts about 5 hours on my skin and projection is quite minimal. I like NR a lot, but not to the point that I need a summer version of it as well, so I personally wouldn't repurchase this.
If you're intrigued by this fragrance and don't own NR yet, I'd say give it a go. It's nothing ground breaking, but still a pretty fragrance nonetheless!

LauraSH

Beautiful summery fragrance BUT the performance is so bad... I sprayed 3 times (I use fragrances lightly), 10min later couldn't smell anything. I tried again, sprayed 6-7 times, 30min later it was gone.. Oh well. I will use it at home and it will be gone when I choose my actual fragrance for the day.

Tomadeupjazz

Harsh fresh and powdery. Very uninteresting, not really appealing scent 😕. I absolutely HAVE to mix this with something else to wear it. The almond blossom is a hard dusty fragrance, and the addition of the wood and musk intensifies this forest tree bark scent in this perfume. It’s not something I like at all 👎🏾

lydlid

Interesting no one has mentioned this but for me it smells really similar to poison girl edt. They’re both really powdery to me and kind of cloying. I find this to smell kind of Make-upy and I don’t really like that. It’s also REALLY strong to me and is kind of headache inducing and tickles my nose.
Update: wore this on my skin in the heat and it really shines. Like it now.

Vellocet

This is a beautiful amber fragrance! I really pick up the mandarin note which suits this scent overall. The musk gives is it a delicate powdery touch which I love. I can’t decide if it’s a summer/spring or fall/winter fragrance. It has this freshness to it but the amber ”weighs” it down a bit to be classified as a summer scent. ”Terra” is a great name for this. I see dunes and orange skies when smelling this. I love it! I got an armani beach towel for free when I purchased this. What a bargain! Maybe it’s their way to imply it actually is a summer scent :)

Catmo

I love this. It’s a sweet almondy floral scent. Not too sweet though- just a bit. It does have that “perfumey” smell to it. But it’s so much more than that- so I don’t mind. It does have a bit of Girl of Now vibes but less sweet with jasmine added.

Mir5586

Oh my LORD!
I found a modern, more soft and wearable version of D&G’s Sicily!
Without the strong, sharp aldehyde touch!

I just noticed I’m the first one to add Sicily as a perfume that this reminds me of.
I’m stunned! How could anybody miss this?

This to me, is the epitome , of ‘The Italian Way of Life.’

Soooo beautifull, what a gem!

It’s not a ‘Helll I’M HERE’ frag, but who wants that all the time?
Put some Black Opium on and you’re good to go.
If that’s what you want.
If you want class, soft warm, almost romantic vibe the Mediterranean way; this is it.
I picture a woman on a balcony, surrounded by orange and lemon treed in the garden underneath.
And she is sipping on some wine, looking at the sunset.
A warm, ambery glow is covering the landscape around her.

I’ve been to Italy. This is IT.
Might be my signature scent if I can pull it off in the winter!

Was recommended by alott of passionate fragrance lovers on YT.
I caved in, and I’m ao happy that I did!

safaying

This perfume is polite pleasant and doesn't rock the boat. smells sweet and captivating at first but soon fades into something less impressive with the almond note becoming more present, reminds me a bit of Issey Miyake's A Drop d'Issey, but it's much softer sweeter and less soapy than that one. I like the opening notes of this perfume more than the drydown which is a shame. I feel like this is the type of perfume you wear twice then get tired of it and shove it at the back of your perfume wardrobe which is why I won't be purchasing a full bottle. Still it's nice for the summer weather just doesn't wow me enough.

LivsAnne

This smells like a cross between Black Opium and Girl of Now shine, in my opinion. Both of which I actually like so this works out in my favour. Not sure if I would purchase this fragrance again, may try different perfumes in the line

Sweetfemme

Does anyone else find this too “perfumey” ?
I can’t really distinguish what I’m smelling. This is the epitome of a basic feminine perfume.

It’s kinda sweet but screechy and sharp.

I’ll have to try it again to see if I can pick up what everyone else does.

clairesque

Impression from a paper strip: Slightly sweet floral. The almond comes off a little like vanilla to me. I don't think this is something I'd buy a full bottle of; it's a lovely scent but a little plain.

Cathped

Its not so bad until the synthetic and musky drydown. The beginning of the perfume is good and exciting. But cant be compared to Sun di Gioia.

Marina.Klr

• The opening is sweet, fruity and somewhat intense. •Afterwards it smells like a soft, sweet almond, not heavy at all, •very inoffensive and subtle. Also, the perfume
• sits close to the skin and
• does not last long enough. It's not bad as a scent, but it's definitely not something special either. It’s not your typical floral , or fruity or ambery or gourmand scent, it’s something in between. Personally all I can smell is a subtle kind of fresh / green almond scent. Due to the gentle projection and the moderate longevity, I’m not sure if it’s worth investing in a full bottle. Certainly, however,
• its almond smells tender, cute and romantic and
•it doesn’t cause headaches. •It’s also very easy to wear.

heatshimmr

Sweet warm amber floral, but it’s too ‘perfume-y’ for me

tatVC

This Amber floral perfume smells like you’re walking through an old Roman ruin in the Mediterranean but there’s an elegance to it, like an Agatha Christie femme archaeologist searching for artifacts on a Roman ruin near a beach on the Mediterranean Sea.

Clairerose00

Am I crazy or does this perfume smell exactly like kitten fur by Demeter but the more well made version? SO weird it smelled so familiar the second I put it on and in a minute it clicked! Def worth a try if you like this perfume and it’s much less expensive, more synthetic for sure and lasting power won’t be much as it’s a eau de cologne. Really interesting, I wasn’t expecting that at all. Someone tell me if I’m crazy haha.

skyneverfall

This perfume start off with something sweet and innocent but then it quickly become sexy and it stay like that until the dry down. This smell pretty much like Black Opium but sweeter and smoother without the bitterness of coffee. It smells like a light roast coffee and the Black Opium is the dark roast. The dry down is come back to the opening scent. Sweet and warm. I don't get any beachy feeling from this perfume. It is sweet, warm and oriental but not an aggressive perfume like Black Opium. It is one of those your favorite night out fragrance that can be safely worn in a day time. I would say I smell almond, jasmine and amber the most. Truly cuddly day dream scent.

eau de dosa

Does this remind anyone else of Black Opium Intense?

chakukan

the almond Blossom to me is an acquired taste.... if its done right its good buts its out of place here, too powdery

nateya

The opening reminds me of the original Sí, then it turns into a creamy black currant ice cream kinda scent. The dry down smells like a soft powdery fruity scent with just a touch of sweetness. This is such a pretty scent. It smells so feminine and classy. The type of scent that could be a signature scent or worn on a day trip with your girlfriends. I can also picture this being worn as a wedding day scent.

Gi22

It’s such a beautiful and feminine scent. I adore it!! 😍

AnnaMaria27

It is absolutely beautiful.

Siv7Stars

Wow, does this really remind people of Sensi?? I must try some now.. In spite of the fact people also saying it's like play-doh (Sensi wasn't) suncream (Sensi wasn't) fabric softener (oh dear Sensi really wasn't) prominent pear (big nope) shampoo (NO) + screechy :/ Just a few of the things Sensi wasn't. Place your bets ladies n gentlemen that this is nothing like Sensi..

menmen

Such a sunny scent! Has a small hint of dirt for me which I think goes perfectly with the whole theme of the perfume. Smells like a freshly watered garden, wet soil included. Lovely for spring.
I'll have to test it again on my skin before I commit to a bottle because the ocean version seemed to not agree with my chemistry.
Edit: tested it on my skin and it turned acidically soapy like ocean did. Could be the musk at the base I'm not sure.

weirdhoney21

I tested this in-store and it didn't wow me. I brought the test strip home with me and the more I smell it the more I'm warming up to it! The jasmine and pear give it a summery/sunscreen feel while the almond blossom and amberwood create this beautiful, warm base. I completely agree with all the comments saying this is meant to be worn on a summer night in the Mediterranean!

Something is stopping me from loving this but I can't put my finger on it! I definitely like this though and can picture myself throwing this on with a sundress in the summertime :)

6.5/10

miss_aly

So I got this one to try because it was part of Armani’s BOGO sale. I originally just went on there to buy My Way but I thought I’d give this a go based on the notes listed! It definitely reminds me of Tresor by Lancôme (not sure why, not the same notes really). But it's a nice soft almond/creamy perfume. Some may almost think it smells of borderline play doh, but I really like it! Definitely a 90’s vibe perfume! My only gripe is that the longevity isn't great...

cloudy sky

Whoever said down below that it is like Sensual Amber was right on the money. I think is just a touch less sweet and maybe a tiny bit soapier but other than that it's what I remember from that old b&b fave. I loved Sensual Amber in my early 20's and this brought me back to that time!

AlexandraTroush

This is such a beautiful surprise! I got a small 1ml spray sample with purchase and I'm delighted!

It reminds me of 4 other perfumes: Narciso Ambree (for the warm feeling it evokes), Girl of Now (for the slight nuttiness), Alien Goddess (for the base, which has a slight cashmeran feeling), and Burberry Brit (for the fresh opening and slight nuttiness). Overall, this is warm, nutty, only slightly sweet. Not overwhelming at all, could be an appropriate office scent. Out of all the 4 that I mentioned, it remind me the most of Narciso Ambree, for the really hugging, comforting warmth. It's so pretty in the cold weather we're having right now! I feel like I'm being sunkissed while it's snowing outside.

I'm really tempted to get a full bottle once I run out of my sample.

asg6

Something about the pear note in so many of these designers comes across too synthetic to me. Despite that, I keep coming back to this for that fresh creamy almond blossom once it dries down a bit. When I first tried this I got the detergent/fabric softener comparisons, it has this really laidback and understated vibe. Really perfect for every day wear to just help you feel casually elegant. but could also make a lovely evening summer date night perfume IMO

Nannna23

It's a bit overwhelming to me - I like it, but it's very present, and maybe a cold january evening in my couch does not seems fair til this scent :D
The name and the description is spot on, and I think this scent belongs in at hot summer night, in southern europe strolling around the small streets and the piazzas, a little tipsy.... A perfect summer scent :-)

LanaDelSlay

Wore this today and the almond in this is super addicting, it makes the whole perfume for me. Surprised this was a recent perfume, it's literally 90's in a bottle. Feels like going back in time. Jasmine and almonds together is heaven to me, so fresh, so clean, but so sweet too, subtle kind of sweetness, sometimes it can even feel a bit shampoo-y, but I don't mind cus I love that.

vintagebombshell1214

before smelling this and seeing the notes i thought this would be a very mature/ambery smell but it actually smells so aromatic and the perfect amount of sweet, it lasts long on my clothes but disappears quickly on my skin which is super disappointing because i love this smell but the sillage and lasting is disappointing, because of this i'd give it a 7.5/10 but it does smell amazing overall.

rikkestigbonde

Exactly what I was hoping for when I saw the notes - warm, open, sunshiny almond with the freshness of a shampoo-y jasmine. A lovely hint of clay that makes me think of warm Mediterranean summers. I find it works well as a lighter cold weather scent, but I can’t wait to experience it in the warmer months, too. I wear it to work when I don’t want anything too heavy, but I still want to smell feminine and delicious up close.

allumez

A wonderful tribute to the Emporio She from the early ‘00. Powerful and confident, sexy and naughty. Very almondy/sweet in the dry down.
Well done, Armani, i would put it on the same shelf as Code Cashmere and Idôle d’Armani, lovely creations.

ilayda

This scent opens as a sweet floral and quicky develops into an slightly overpowering almond blossom and amber wood. The woody amber is definitely noticeable but the sweetness from the pear is very prominent and hides it a little. The jasmine is a nice musky white floral during the dry down. Reminds me of Kim Kardashian for some reason. Slightly basic and nutty, reminds me of neutrals and cleanliness yet sweet. best way I can describe it

karinatfragrantica

I got a sample and the more I try it the more I dislike this scent. Smells like harsh almond scented bug spray/screechy detergent to me. I usually try not to write too negative reviews because one's hate is someone else's love. But this is one of the few fragrances which really make me feel nauseous. Can't help it. Maybe it is just this particular almond note because in other fragrances I do not have a problem with almond although it will never be one of my favorite notes.

HoneyRum

I got a sample of this and ended up getting a full bottle, the first time I tried it I wasn’t impressed initially but after a couple of minutes it developed the most amazing sillage, it’s ambery and almondy and warm but still manages to smell fresh and not too heavy, I didn’t think this would be great for winter initially but I actually think it’s wonderful for cold days where I don’t want something too heavy or syrupy but I still want something cozy. I’ve worn it several times after I shower and before I go to bed and I can still smell it when I wake up, so I’d say the longevity is decent (it also lasts much longer on clothes). The projection isn’t huge, it definitely won’t fill a room, but people who are close to you can smell it. It’s a great every day perfume and I’m honestly surprised I like it as much as I do, and I’ll definitely be picking up the biggest bottle when I go through the 1oz I bought initially ❤️

Kiki kollia

I got this today at a very low price 29€ ( Black Friday deals) it smells amazing. I tried it on Thursday and imagine that I got it on Friday such a beautiful smell in a very beautiful bottle but it’s a little big idk why and I only got 30ml it has a width. It’s like a blossomed almond tree with a sweet scent of jasmine and pear I absolutely loved it 😍

kittymoon

This is an unusual one. First blast is fresh fruity and a bit "solar, ozonic, aquatic". No idea how almond blossom smells but I get almond, similar clay-like as in Hypnotic Poison but without vanilla. It's a powdery slightly cloing scent, but it's also airy and fresh. A little hint of fruity, but I would say mainly light solar amber with play-do almond. Confused? So am I 😅 Lasts 8 hours on clothes but does not project.

queengypsyV

Sooo... when I first smelled this at Ulta, I was intrigued by the scent. It smelled kinda familiar, but I really could not place it. I brought the test strip I had sprayed home with me and sniffed on it for hours lol. Then, when I was talking to my son and asking his opinion - I was trying to describe it to him and... it clicked, "it smells like B&BW's Sensual Amber!" And, it does! But less cloying. I have loved Sensual Amber since high school and always wished for a perfume version that toned down the extreme sweetness it has. This is it! Yay!

Someone else mentioned that they wished Armani had put an "earth" or "dirt" note in the scent: I agree. Maybe some vetiver would have done the trick? Hm.. might order some vetiver eo and try it out. I'll try some cedarwood, too. I also would have liked a lil more brightness- like a lime or the like.

Hallon

Lots of almond, a little like clay but just a hint. Like it, nice and lovely.

Dort0625

I got a sample of this with a purchase and I am surprised with how much I like it. I love the original, sky, ocean and air not a big fan of light and thought this wouldn’t be my thing but it’s got this freshness to it that seems to come from the a woody musky maybe I don’t know, I’m terrible at describing how notes stick out to me other than to say hey it’s fruity hey it’s fresh, it’s citrus etc lol for how much money I spend on perfumes and how many I own have owned etc I should be a pro, alas I am not even remotely close! Either way this is nice, it has a sunny, beachy, woody vibe to it, like late in the day after supper or right at end of summer start of fall. It’s actually beautiful! I plan to buy a full size of it just from getting the sample with a purchase! Always try to get those samples folks-you just never know what you might find!!!

Scentedalterego

White florals + solar accords over and amber/musk base that is very common nowadays. It reminds me Narciso Eau Ambree with almond blossom (the same note that is prominent in my beloved My Insolence).

This is the type of perfume that melts with your skin and makes you smell good, and not perfumey, that's the good part. It's pleasant but I prefer Ambree. Performance could be better, too.

faithelise14

A little shampoo like and for that reason I love it! Smells clean and floral yet fruity. It’s just a really nice smell.

HillTop

I'm in love. This smell is just gorgeous and exactly that sweet flowery powdery cloud I was looking for and what I wanted Guerlain Terracotta to be (which has absolutely no similarity). I don't find it generic at all - to me this is very well done as it usually is when it comes to Armani fragrances. It is such a good mixture beetween flowers, very soft mature oranges, powder dust and amberwood. The longer I wear on skin the better it gets. The beginning is rather fresh and sparkling but settles within 30 minutes and you'd be surprised by that beautiful creamy jasmine you are going to find. One mentioned I would smell like a fluffy capuccino when wearing it but to me it's deeper than this it's a high class fragrance with the right amount of sweetness. Never cloying, flowers are always tender and light what may likely come from bergamot. Fits all ages. It's very close to the skin so you'd better buy a taller bottle ;)

Ilprofumo

This is a cooler weather perfume. It is then, in cooler weather, that one receives the full beauty of this creation. First Pear, then almond flower, then amber. Very feminine and suitable for day wear.

wandavision

i really like this. it's really light and almost smells like a detergent, but personally i like to just smell like a clean person. it's a sweet and airy scent. if you're like me and like to have perfumes in your rotation that just smell like just got out the shower scents then i recommend this one. i spray this on right after a shower. probably won't repurchase because it IS just a fresh clean shower smell, but while i have it i'll definitely be using it.

leighjanay

Love at first sniff! This is a beautiful warm almond amber scent, it mixes with my body chemistry so well. I dislike that I become nose blind, however the projection is still there. Terra is definitely a compliment getter and mood booster omg I’m so obsessed

Revontuli

Looking at the notes, this should have been an absolute favourite of mine, which is why I decided to blind-buy with confidence. But there is something; some note that feels so screechy and so detergent-like on my skin... Maybe it's not the suitable weather right now in Finland to bring out the warmness of this fragrance, but I was expecting a warm, creamy summer fragrance.

sassa7

From the sprayer it smells very ambery and slightly oriental, gives me Girl of Now/Girl of Now shine vibes. Starts off tart with the pear, and almondy - pear and almond smell alittle "waxy" to me and dry, which I like and then I get some amber that intensifies and becomes more and more balsamic. It's a sharp type of amber in combination with the jasmine and these elements really remind me of Eau my Secret Women Secret, and turns out they share some notes: mandarin, pear, almond-almond blossom, jasmine, musk. Eau My Secret's dupe is Lei by Armani, no wonder I see Lei Armani listed here in the "reminds me of" list.
The pear with the amberwood intensify the woody element that I sense 5-10 mins after the initial spray - it gives a slight impression of pencil shavings to me, but that part fades as the amber/jasmine and almond blossom take over. It has something from Kenzo Amour, their common playdoh and balsamic essence, but that one is milky and smooth, nothing too sharp in there hence why it's so reminiscent of Hypnotic Poison/La Rive Sweet Hope. This is more ambery, warmer, more oriental than Kenzo Amour.
So Terra di Gioia to me is alot warmer and more suitable for winter. I wore it in 89-96 degrees and it made me alil nauseous. Same goes for Eau My Secret as that one doesnt work on me in the summer. I consider it same league as Lei Armani, Girl of Now (pear/mandarin/almond), Varens D'Orient Amethyst, Poison Girl EDP, Fleur De Femme, so all these balsamic/sharp almond beauties that I love in the winter. It has more intense almond than Eau My Secret, but still it's too warm for summer time for me. Ill love it in the winter.

loliirain

This has been my favorite purchase of the summer. It’s warm, and sexy. Sweet, but still light and a bit fresh. The initial spray is more fresh, and floral, almost like Nivea cream. But the dry down, is a lovely vanilla, almond cream. Think Jergens lotion, but without the cherry syrup. If the original Kenzo Amour edp had a summer flanker, this would be it. I get a hint of the same creamy, milky, almond of kenzo amour, but toned down and with much less powder and sugar. Where kenzo amour can feel a bit heavy, and sit on top of skin. Terra becomes a second skin, melting in with your body heat. It doesn’t have huge projection, but those near you will notice it. Even when I think the scent has gotten too light throughout the day, I still receive compliments on how nice it smells. Great summer fragrance that can be worn from day to night.

I was really psyched for the new My Way Intense and ordered it basically the day it came out on the Armani website. When I was getting ready to check out this perfume came up as a pick too. It had the same promo where they send you a sample to try and if you don’t like it you can send back the unopened bottle for free. I utilized this promo for both the My Way Intense and Terra.

I was totally shocked how much I love this perfume. I would say it’s actually a perfect and completely non-offensive scent except it’s not long lasting and doesn’t project.

It’s soft and delicate without being sweet. It has a wonderful warm amber-almond-jasmine smell which is absolutely perfect. I typically like Almond or Amber perfumes but usually they have some problems like too many sweet tones or a pronounced musk tone. This one has neither.

It is like being wrapped in a cloud of cashmere but in a gentle way.

I am returning the small bottle I ordered and instead went with a large bottle. I was torn on this perfume even though I love it. The fact that it doesn’t last long on me and doesn’t project was such a downer. I almost never wear a scented lotion but would try a scented lotion with this one to see if layering could help. Instead I got the big bottle so I can reapply a lot. I really wish they had a travel spray or rollerball so I can reapply when I’m out. Instead I guess I’ll have to come up with a work around

It truly smells wonderful

islandgirlmaranda

This is lovely! I would call this the PERFECT transitional perfume from summer to fall. This is so warm, beachy, and cozy, like a sunset on the beach, without any coconut! It's incredible, the jasmine and almond almost become vanilla on my skin, and it's just like a warm hug! On the flip side, I imagine this would be perfect for fall, because it's like a cashmere sweater with it's dry down being a little powdery and musk like. This was a blind buy for me and I couldn't be happier!
If you're hesitant, don't be! It's glorious!

Update: This is also now amazing in warmer temps! Absolutely stunning!

LeSucreRose

Smells okay, kind of meh, and not really long lasting. It does do well in heat, but on me, it just doesn’t live up to all of its wonderful reviews and its promising notes.

Scented Heaven

Terra di Gioia is a lovely bright and airy amber musk floral. It's like warm sunraises on your skin or sitting in the white sand watching the sunset. You feel the warmth of the sun and the ground. The opening with elegant pear and juicy mandarin orange is sweet and fresh. A heart of pleasent florals is huged by musky ambery cashmeran. Very likeable Desinger Fragrance.

PiperOK31

This is gorgeous. It's a warm floral hug, but more yummy sweet warm than floral perfume. I sprayed this on inside and then stepped outside in the heat, and oh mama...whatever it is giving off that solar vibe just came alive and I love it 10 x more. I also detect a salty note even though it's not listed.

Chele05

I haven't seen any other reviews mention this, but the dry down smells exactly like Clinique My Happy Cocoa & Cashmere! This is exciting for me because I own and love Cocoa & Cashmere, but the staying power is so weak. I've only gotten to sample Terra di Gioia, but it lasted much longer and projected well. It's a cozy scent that feels more appropriate for fall than summer imo. I'm looking forward to purchasing a full bottle.

EDIT: Rethinking my initial impression of it smelling like Cocoa & Cashmere in the dry down. I'm wearing it again, but today it doesn't smell as pretty. I will update once I've tested a few more times.

stefani valini

I perceive a lot of amberwood and almond blossom , its a "dry" perfume. Definitly hearty with floral notes and pear. It's good, not safe blind buy. Its nice, its different. I like it but not enought to buy it. Perfect for autumn :)

citrinemalachite

I am testing this today, and I only get the almond blossom and amberwood notes. The almond is the first thing I smell, then the sweet ambery woodiness is there when it dries down a bit. I agree that it’s pretty linear. If there’s pear, it’s just there to add a bit of syrupy sweetness, but I wouldn’t say it smells fruity. If it’s floral at all, I don’t get that, which is disappointing as I love jasmine and orange blossom. I do think it smells a little musky in the base as well.

Edit: after testing it more, I’m really enjoying this and might end up going for a full bottle. The beginning is fresh and sweet and I can really smell the mandarin. The dry down is really nice, and that part is pretty long-lasting. It stays close to the skin and is unlikely to offend others, in my opinion. It does smell synthetic, but not in a bad way to me anymore. I think it’s a great nighttime fragrance because it gives you a very warm and soft cozy feeling. It doesn’t really smell summery or beachy to me but I think it’s pretty versatile and still can work in warm weather.

MKPNorway

A beautiful, sweet summerperfume! It starts by smelling fresh but transforms into a lovely sweet smell which is not too much or sickening.
I love that this is a sweet and warm summerperfume instead of the many fresh and crisp ones. Can’t wait to wear it again!

genny17

It kind of surprises me that it took three noses to come up with Terra..I will think they disagreed on what it is supposed to smell like..at first sniff there is like a tropical summery vibe, my husband thought it smelled of coconut water...I thought , humm, nice, but it didnt develop much..I retried it today, on my skin, and I just get an hairspray note, or like another reviewer mentioned almost bug sprayish, which isnt good.. I just dont find Terra to be anything special honestly..I dont find it to smell that good..I get the amberwood here and there...a flop for me,I wouldnt wear it even if given a bottle..

Salome- U.K.

Sweet creamy almond carrying the loud DNA of the Acqua di Gioia line. The pear note is too intense for my personal taste unfortunately. Warm and pleasant fragrance for summery Mediterranean nights but nothing more than that. The colour of the bottle and the lid are beautiful.

Tsatsenskaya

I love it. I also own Tardes by Carner Barcelona and I find the almond in both to be similar. This is easier to wear, a bit sweeter and a bit more flowery, but they are comparable. This scent is very innovative in the way we don't usually use this type of scent in the summer. Terra is done to perform well in the heat, with reduced sillage, keeping a good longevity. It sits very close to skin. It is not fresh to me, not fruity at all, certainly not citrusy. It is warm, soft, creamy, and a tad sweet but remaining very dry. There is a floral touch but it ia not a floral in my opinion. Smells like dry warm skin. Not perfumey. I can see the bug spray reference, but I don't think many people would get that impression. I honestly think that the lady or gent who wears this in summer will be standing out for the totally different type of scent, for smelling extremely sexy, even sultry, effortless and put together. Maybe even classy, due to the lingering powderiness.

DarlingNikki

Something about the almond blossom note in this is not sitting right with me. Veers into almond-scented bug spray territory on my skin and is just unpleasant overall. There is also a very strong resemblance to Good Girl Legere on my skin for some weird reason (I have the same feeling about GG Legere). Does not remind me of anything earthy at all but rather gourmand and very stomach-turning from that strong almond blossom note. Hard pass...

downtomars13

Best scent in the acqua di Gioia collection. Sweet but with warmth. I smell almond and some powdery-ness. Absolutely everything I wanted from this frag

SailorV

Despite the name this is not an earthy scent at all. If I had to chose an element for this one, I would chose air. The air in front of a café that sells almond based desserts. Air di Gioia is already taken, so maybe this should just have been Dolci di Gioia or something like that.
I get a hint of something woody-spicy in the opening, but only for a bat of an eye. It smells somewhat like pink pepper to me, but maybe that's the amberwood?
After that the scent is mostly pear and almond with a hint of shy flowers and mandarin. Super creamy and sweet, but airy and light enough for warm weather. I think this could be a good summer option if you love thick creamy almond scents like Girl of Now, which can be overwhelming in the heat.
In my opinion this is an allright scent, but a bit uninspired. There is not a lot of complexity here, the sweetness is rather simple and the perfume dries down to a faint musky skinscent in a few hours.
They could have done something more exciting with the earth theme.

fumongous

Well, this isn’t my type of fragrance. I was hoping for more earth- more amber wood. For me this is dominated by jasmine & orange blossom. I smell some almond but not much. I wish Armani could have been more adventurous and given us something with sand, dirt, clay. Instead this is a generic flowery powder puff of a scent. I give it a few points for its strength.

adamh9201

A lot of people are gonna like this one. It’s not your everyday fresh scent, although it is fresh and floral the almond blossom adds a unique creamy depth without being gourmandy.

senorajoselina

This filled a gap I had in my fragrance wardrobe – sometimes I get bored of bright, fresh, and crisp summertime scents and miss the amber depths of my cold weather favorites. This is a beautiful amber floral for warmer weather. The pear note is delicious without quite veering into the edible gourmand territory. I love the almond blossom note and don’t care that it’s a fantasy flower. Was a blind buy that worked out well.

drrobinson04

I tried this perfume and I was expecting something totally different. The reviews of the Discontinued SUN DI Gioia and the replacement with this one led me to a blind buy. I love the other flankers with the exception of LIGHT which is a bit uninspiring. Terra to me smells very almondy with a bit of oceany damp sand and something creamy. She is more linear than I hoped. I get none of the top citrus notes at all. That being said, those qualities make it a fantastic LAYERING SCENT to add depth to other summer fragrances and make them "evening appropriate". I think this is also going to be beautiful in fall with any warm fragrances with cinnamon, nutmeg or coffee. So alone I rate a 7/10, but its paring power is 9/10 for me.

alliesunshine

Mmmm!!! 10/10! What a beautiful summer fragrance, and I love that it isn’t dominated by coconut or citrus! This is so creamy and sweet without being overwhelming and quite literally smells like a luxury vacation, like bronzed glowy skin.. if that makes sense. I’m going to Spain in August, and this will be my scent of choice if that helps anyone understand the type of smell this is :)

sarage

Had a chance to test Terra di Gioia today and it was love at the first sniff. I smell almond and amber and how nicely they blend with pear and mandarin. This is a warm summer fragrance (fits every season, too), maybe for evenings or when you want something not so fresh. My want list just go a new member!

Elleanie

Sweet and summery. Definitely get a lot of almond in the beginning. Dry down is Ambery and warm. A summer fragrance for those who don’t want a fresh, citrus or coconut based scent.

LivAqua

First impressions: Wow. I tried this in store yesterday, and today I still smell almond and amberwood on my skin. My first thought was what a delicious, warm summery scent. It's not very complex, just warm and comforting. I didn't get much projection, I think it will be quite skin close. I was disappointed this morning realizing I didn't have a bottle to reapply, so I will be purchasing this one.

Kanutten

Summer in a bottle.
This really reminds me of something that was everywhere in Brazil years ago, only that one was a bit lighter and fresher I think (??). Still, similar enough to bring me back in time in less than two seconds. So for me this smells like Brazil, and that is a compliment:)

Terra has its feet on the ground with the amberwood, so I get the name. Uncomplicated, easy to like, nice fruity, creamy summer fragrance with some depth. Probable crowd pleaser, and wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a hit among younger women. Smells like sun, fun and hanging out with friends.

Liliana Ângelo

Oh lord, I hate th- wait a minute... Is this almond? Oh this is the creamiest almond of all.

It was exactly like that when I received the sample of this perfume.

On my skin is even beautiful and even frutier (which I absolutely love). The almond here is not cloying at all.

As much I love this I must warn you to not overspray (like I did for a dinner and it did not went well)

From all the gioias is the one I love the most. Give it a try!

Hajanula

My perfect summer scent. Quite skin-close, but it really smells like summer in Spain. My new summer favorite!!

masako_30

Terra di Gioia smells a lot like "Un Jardin sur la Lagune-Hermès" and perhaps also like "Indian Garnet Omnia-Bvlgari", or similar Omnia flankers, this excluding Amethyste, to me.
But please know these are just the snapshots and my perceptions of the first day. Still few are the moments shared together since I met it.
I was unable to find an affinity with L'instant Magic-Guerlain, which is the reason why I tested it. So other tests are a must for me because I want at all costs have this one with me.
Unlike 'Lagune' who runs away from me immediately, Terra di Gioia does not resign itself so incredibly quickly. Very enveloping with a single spray, thanks to the pear I suppose, its wake is tenderly cool, and takes several hours to warm up.
Terra di Gioia can be thought as an intent to warm a bit the austere aura of Light di Gioia. And this work is successful.
Really my impression is very good.
Here remains the regret for the discontinuous Sun di Gioia, with which 'Terra' has a very little to do, but this is only my personal feeling, and opinion.

emmycartier

I loooove this one!! It smells amazing! I really thought it smelled like cherries but it was not in the notes lmao
