Dahlia Divin Le Nectar de Parfum by Givenchy is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. Dahlia Divin Le Nectar de Parfum was launched in 2016. The nose behind this fragrance is François Demachy. Top note is Mimosa; middle notes are Jasmine and Rose; base notes are Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Musk.

Givenchy launches the third addition to the Dahlia Divin collection in June 2016 as the intensive version named Dahlia Divin Le Nectar de Parfum, after the original Eau de Parfum from 2014 and lighter Dahlia Divin Eau de Toilette version from 2015. The collection follows the theme of Dahlia Noir fragrance line started in 2011.

Nectar de Parfum represents the luxurious, haute couture version of the fragrance, a symbol of gold and femininity, announced as "the elixir of divine potency." The composition is developed by François Demachy, who focused on golden flowers of mimosa which brings its unique signature to the scent. Note of sambac jasmine, present in all the Dahlia Divin creations, is complemented by sensual and elegant rose. The floral heart is supported the woody base of almost creamy vetiver, sandalwood, tonka bean and lavish vanilla musk.

The bottle is made of lacquered glass in shades of gold, adorned with gold thread around its neck and with an engraved chrome plate that bears the name of the perfume. The transparent holds fragments of golden leafs.

Model Candice Swanepoel replaces singer Alicia Keys as the embodiment of a Dahlia Divin woman in the new campaign. The promotional video is directed by Gordon von Steiner, with the visual campaign shot by Peter Lindbergh. The fragrance is available as a 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum Intense.

This opens with way too much powder for my personal taste and it feels too heavy. But that does settle fairly quickly and it softens into a nice, sweet floral. I found myself liking it more and more as the day wore on. Nothing groundbreaking or super complex but it is truly lovely.

MyScentBubble

It reminds me of a refined honeyd chanel no5. Was told I smell "classy and expensive" while wearing this

WhiteFlowerPrincess

I would have loved this perfume if it weren't for the tonka bean and especially the sandalwood notes. It just made this smell too strong and vintage to my nose... overpowering, too. Almost slightly bitter.

I love the floral notes, the vanilla and the musk in here and mimosas are one of my most favorite flowers in the whole wide world. It's just too bad that these notes don't really get to shine through here at all.

This does have a good projection and longevity though. I also admit that I think that the golden bottle with its beautiful clear cap sprinkled with gold leaf that the juice is encased in is stunning too.

It's no Amarige Harvest Mimosa 2007 though. Now that's a stunning mimosa perfume that smells heavenly and way better than this!

All in all it's a mediocre 6/10 in my opinion.

Hunnynpink

Sweet creamy slightly woody floral. Mature and sexy.

epona1705

This is very nice. Great for winter. It's long-wearing, like Organza. I definitely smell the vanilla and mimosa. On the heavy side, but I like that.

Eveningrose

I was really disappointed with this scent. It is sweet and thick but it doesn’t last at all. The scent has nothing that stands out to me . The bottle is beautiful. I wish the scent was more unique. This feels very generic and the performance sucked on me on both skin and cloths!

raegryphon

I was in the oil and gas industry for a good 2 years. and work mostly on site, this perfume performs well in hot and humid places. sillage is good

IMadeleine

One of my coworkers wear it today and it smells so yummy. This perfume is quite strong with good sillage and I think a good longevity too. It smells like sweet and sour nectar at the same time.

update: I sat next to her on our way back home and it still smelled pretty strong with moderate sillage. 2 hours after applied it on her skin, she could no longer smell it on herself.

It is elegant, working appropiate, perfect for a wedding, for the bride or for a guest. I m gonna add it to my collection. It is truly uplifting

Shikin27

A blind purchase. Bought it cos it's cheap. Someone was trying to sell it away cos it was gifted. I read the reviews and purchased it. I love this sooooo much! Reading the reviews I was a little worried about the longevity but I sprayed some at 10pm last night and it's 8am and I can still smell it. So it's awesome. It opens with pretty floral and dries down to yummy vanilla, Tonka. It's just sooo pretty and classy. This has been discontinued in my country. And I hunted down the last one that I can find in 50ml. So now I have 2 bottles of 50ml. I will treasure them.

In my first year of college, I chose this scent at a department store. I liked Givenchy scents then, notably Hot Couture and, to a lesser extent, Organza. I was initially drawn to DDLN because of the beautiful bottle, and the sweet floral scent within smelled sophisticated to me then. I preferred it to the original Dahlia Divin - if memory serves, the original was louder and sweeter, with a prominent syrupy peach note, housed in a plain bottle. Le Nectar is a little like J'Adore Dior L'Absolu in comparison to the original - a little more expensive and refined. It has a prominent mimosa note which doesn't feature in the original.

DDLN opens with sweet, powdery mimosa, beautifully rendered. There are sweet, fruity notes in there as well - I get something akin to mandarin and peach - while a slight woodiness in the background grounds the sweetness nicely. The mimosa-centred opening is the best part of DDLN.

As it develops, it becomes a run-of-the-mill sweet floral concoction. A white floral accord blooms on my skin, sweet and creamy. The jasmine note is clean, if synthetic, and some powdery sweet rose is in there as well. It is very powdery and sweet, becoming all the sweeter as the vanilla note emerges. Some woody and soft spicy notes creep in as it dries down, fading eventually to a sweet, powdery skin scent with a hint of clean musk. Sillage is moderate, while longevity is fairly strong, as is often the case with modern sweet vanilla scents.

Apart from the mimosa opening, DDLN is nothing special, and is one of many mass-market sweet vanilla florals. I would stick with Cinéma, my floral-vanilla scent of choice, instead. Too sweet and generic for me, but not bad if you like this sort of thing. Better than the original. 2/5.

sammysilver678

I was so excited to try this!!! unfortunately on my skin I literally can only smell wood. Like straight up garden woodchips. Not my thang.

Rainstorm

A soft sweet young lady who feels safe and inviting. Innocently powdering herself with her mothers setting puff at the dressing table. She matures with grace and elegance and feels most comfortable outside in nature on a warm day when the sun is slightly setting and there’s a wondrous honey amber ambience filling the air about her. A special warm delicate girl who shouldn’t mess with the bad boys. They’ll just corrupt her sweet innocence. Only for the pure of heart.

Diari

First sniff reminded me of a Korean body wash I used to like years ago. "Nice!", I thought to myself. Then, somehow it got worse.

This thing is not elegant: it's a behemoth composed of slightly too powdery vanilla, slightly too sweet flowers, and slightly too soapy musk. I think it's the musk that creates this eerie quality I get from this scent after the initial impression. It reveals itself more the closer I inspect, and soon it's the only thing I can think of when it comes to the perfume's scent profile—a block of eerie, soapy musk sitting haphazardly in the midst of what should've been a passable (if not derivative) sweet floral gourmand affair. Maybe it can work in a functional product, where only traces of it should be left when the tap is closed.

If I could, I would put it in those tiny splash bottle used for parfums, since this is mighty strong stuff. Like La Vie Est Belle or most of the "ouds" both designers and niche, I feel like it can work by drawing out one drop with a pipette and dabbing discreetly behind the knees, as far from the nose as possible. This is how I got the jasmine, it bloomed for exactly one minute before getting violently snuffed out by the sugar and musk.

For the time being however, let's go easy on the spray, if not for the sake of the people around you then for your own smell receptors.

*loves_shoes*

It’s nice, vanilla and mimosas then a touch of jasmine.
Sweet, floral, vanilla, and a bit woody. Inoffensive, safe blind buy.
Beautiful bottle, like stunning. Photos don’t do it justice. Would make a great gift.

mmiched

Just got this bottle today its smells almost identical to Miss Dior Le Parfum! The powdery vanilla mixes well with the Mimosa. It settles nicely on the skin with a good projection. I love this!

LSAUG

I am wearing this right now and man is it super sweet! Lucky for me I love sweet perfumes but if you don't like super sweet fragrances do not buy this one. This is a powdery sweet mimosa that is covered w/ tonka dust and super candy sweet vanilla. So, imagine a field of yellow flowers and yellow flowering bushes that are even sweeter than they would be in nature. That is what this Perfume smells like to me. It's like yellow flower candy. This perfume is probably a bit too young for a woman my age, I am 51 but I like it and will wear it anyway. I don't know why Givenchy would discontinue this range. I didn't buy the original, but I decided to buy this, the Nude and Initial. The original has patchouli which I love but it seems so many fragrances have loads of patchouli in the base now and I wanted to get fragrances that use other base notes w/ out all of the patchouli. I know they probably won't last as long but this one seems to being going pretty strong w/ only 1 spray. I am very pleased w/ this line and think they shouldn't be discontinued, especially since the newer fragrances they have been releasing haven't impressed me very much.

Edit: The more I smell this the more it has a tropical vibe. It is a rich complex perfume. At 1st I thought it would be for cold weather but now I am thinking it is a year-round perfume. My husband loves this stuff, and it would be a perfect date night fragrance.

Abry_81

Dahlia Divin Le nectar de parfum (2016) was born as the second flanker of the Dahlia Divin line after the edp in 2014 and the edt in 2015, this intense version with a golden aura was born from the hands of Francois Demachy (the author of all) and although shares that accord of white floral and woody notes of sandalwood focuses more on the mimosa, a golden mimosa with amber tints accompanied by a powerful and sweet vanilla and tonka at its right point, not burdensome, because this fragrance like its predecessor is very well achieved and it's pretty classy.
Away from the plum note of the original, the opening of this as I said before is an explosion of mimosa that changes the dynamics and slightly pulls towards a yellow floral accompanied by a delicious sweet vanilla but not gourmand, the tonka adds a creamy point that at times feels more intense with the sandalwood and sometimes slightly earthy by the presence of vetiver in it, here the jasmine links this composition with the original but does not broadly have the presence of a white floral rather it is Floral accord pulling more towards the yellow floral with amber tints transmitting an intense golden color with orange reflections.
Another magnificent creation by Demachy, very bold and very classy and although I don't see gender or age in the fragrances it certainly feels mature, not suitable for teenagers, the performance is slightly better than the edp behaving very similar, the first hour powerful and then quite linear but they last properly, this one maybe a little longer at least on my skin.

delightme5

True : it is Divine ! Sweet golden heavenly powder. Remember, sweet, is the operative word.
A time gone by powder, ethereal like sweet.
To make a comparison, though not the same :
Sublime (patou) is a golden amber like sweet.
Yes it too is Divine and sublime ..but it takes you there gradually, slowly (if it works for you) spinning you up into orbit with wisps of vanilla powdery vetiver. Slowly.
Dahlia Divin nectar is like a pistol filled with a straight up pixie dust heaven like powder. It takes you there immediately - its a golden and sweet beautiful powder (cloying potentially ?) and whatever else you get later depends on your chemistry. Nectar is correct also for this form of sweetness : Nectar of the gods.

Natashaps01

I received my order from FraignanceX and could not believe it. It smells just like an old bottle of Fancy Love by Jessica Simpson that I’ve had for years. The tot does not have golden glitter on it and I am not sure what ghat means... did they change it?? I’m confused.
FraignanceX doesn’t sell fakes, do they?

cheleine

This is just divine! Smells very high-end! I saw someone mentioning this smells like gold and I could not agree more. It’s what a rich person would smell like, someone extremely well mannered, gracious and classy. I can only imagine this being worn in more “dressy” situations, like a glamorous night out, christmas, celebrations etc. Beautiful scent!

Murmur123123

Smooth tonka with creamy vanilla, with the sweetness from the flowers which does gives the vibe of "nectar" (without the usual sweetness from fruity or sugary notes). The top note of mimosa gives a fuzzy radiance vibe and I do get the sweet floral notes in the first 20 min or so, before it dries down to a comforting sweet tonka and vanilla base. The dry-down reminds me of Hypnotic Poison EDT but the 2 perfumes do not smell alike.

Overall a very pleasant and comforting grown-up's sweet perfume, feels like a hug, suitable for any day of the year as long as it is not hot. A nice creation by Francois Demachy!

Enchanted77

Absolutely DIVINE! Sweet, luxurious nectar of the Goddesses 💫
Update: I’ve owned this close to a year now and I can honestly say it’s a consistent, across the board, compliment getter❤️

MarchHare

This is pretty, but it smells so sharp on me. I think the combination of the vetiver and mimosa creates something like an aldehyde note, and anything aldehydic is horrible and smells like hairspray on my skin. Gave it to my mom and it smells beautiful, smooth, complex, and lightly sweet on her.

It's well blended and no particular notes hog the spotlight. I do not smell the jasmine or rose in this at all, though. It's all base notes and mimosa, which is fine. It LASTS. Like, 8 hours on me, and perfumes never last on my skin. Sillage is strong, as well. Kind of perfume that enters the room before you do.

I'd say that this is a more mature smelling perfume. This isn't for teenagers or college aged girls. This is a late 20s-40s date night perfume and commands attention, for better or for worse. For some, it will be for better. For me, it was for worse. Wish it smelled as nice on me as it did on everyone else! It has such nice staying power

pac1990

Funny thing, I was deciding between Narciso Poudre and Elie Saab Le Royal when I found this. This is their baby. Sweet powdery champagne. Soapy, powdery and with a bright sweetness that resembles honey. Could easily pass as a Kenzo, actually reminds me SO much of Kenzo World (pastel pink bottle). In comparison to the original Dahlia...they smell exactly the same, this one is just an "add powdery notes" while the OG is more jammy and loud. This is a soft baby, OG's baby sister. This smells like an absolute luxury, it's really an elixir of femininity, clean, delicate and expensive smelling. It's not young though, I find it somewhat mature, not old but mature. I can imagine a 30 something socialite that travels the world and knows exactly where the best hidden gems in each city are wearing this.

May 2021

The official Givenchy Beauty web site the whole Dahlia Divin collection discontinued, it is only showing now the original Dahlia Divin(forget about the very first one, which was Dahlia Noir, which has been discontinued tons of years ago anyway) and Dahlia Divin Eau Initiale. I have Dahlia Divin le Nectar, and I really appreciate it.

cocolily1

For me, the first note is jasmine and sadly I am no longer a fan of it. I love amber, as it represents feminine maturity to me, but the jasmine overpowers it. I bought this as a gift to myself in December 2018, but I rarely reach for this as I find it far too mature and serious for my taste now. Such a shame, but I may give it to my mum instead. I would also not call this fragrance sweet and I wish it had more musk (favourite base) to make it slightly more powdery and wearable for me.

violetx28

it’s a nice classy woman fragrance, it gives off a bit of old lady vibes to me tho, i think this’d be perfect for women in their late 30’s-40’s, not for a 19yr old like me lol

zelelipe

This is beautiful! Very familiar and comforting. It's not groundbreaking or especially unique but it is very loveable and easy to wear.

Very summery and warm but could be worn year round, day or night. This may become one of my new signature scents - it reminds me of other perfumes but not any one specific scent, more like the combination of all the best feminine perfumes I have ever smelled coming back to me at once. It is somehow not generic, despite it not being unique.

It smells very expensive and is very well blended. I get tonka, vanilla, sandalwood and then the beautiful floral blend of mimosa, rose and jasmine. It is very feminine and soft, I would say this is a quite grown up scent but could be worn by anyone mid 20s or above. Wouldn't be right for teenagers, more of a classy adult scent.

Very sensual and sexy but not in an obvious way. The silliage is OK, it's not a beast but does leave a nice trail - the magic is up close though! It's one of those scents you want to keep leaning in to smell more of. Delicious! It was a bit hard to find a good price though I will definitely keep my eyes out for a big bottle because I'm in love with it!

Fraghag7

This perfume is heaven. Simply divine. I can't describe what it smells like but it smells expensive; exquisite. If I could name this perfume it would be "champagne". I imagine a beautiful woman in a long gold dress at a special event. I think this is suitable for anyone who, not necessarily to wear as a signature scent though. This is very special, I will be purchasing again.

Neckromancer

It smells high end. Think Miss Dior and that region of the counter. Definitely strong. The first notes to hit the nose are quite floral. There's also something in there that's scratchy (not smooth) upon first spray. I have no idea what it could be. I'm not familiar at all with what vetiver smells like, so that might be it. It could also be the tonka, which seems to be different in every perfume it shows up in. This is not as straight up mimosa as something like Jo Malone's Mimosa and Cardamom. The jasmine is equally mixed with the mimosa. It does smell like the yellow part of a flower, but it's not intensely yellow floral. As time passes, sandalwood is the only thing that stays behind, and it's strong and good quality. I don't think I've ever smelled this much sandalwood in a recent big brand perfume. The perfume in general is not as sweet as I expected. It's medium sweet, not a gourmand. I don't know why I thought it would be a gourmand. I find the sweetness level quite perfect actually. I think I would really enjoy this on others. It's a very classy, pretty scent. It's a little strong for me though, but I'll keep wearing it and we'll see.

NancyQuo

It is an enveloping Nectar de Parfum where the mimosa plays tenderly with vanilla and tonka bean, It is a super feminine and discreet perfume where elegance is perceived but does not scream for attention. A warm and beautiful mimosa, highly recommendable.

charsept

**Swoon** Dressy or casual, perfect for any occasion. I want to always have a bottle of this beauty.

Naomie

I’m not a sweet perfume fan, except Creed Virgin Island Water and this baby! It’s sooo elegant and sophisticated, so different as well! My friend has this and whenever we meet and hug I’m blown away how good this perfume is! Very soft but gives a real statement! ☝🏽

bdhunter20

Oh my! Very surprised when I received it in the mail! It kind of reminds me of those swirl candies the ladies at church used to have. Kind of sweet, creamy.

Vegas Pauli

I'm not a fan of sweet perfumes, but I'm digging this. It is very very sweet but it works here because it's supposed to be like a golden honey nectar, so how else can this be anything else? It starts with a bubble gum white flower explosion, but it dries down fairly quickly. Overall this is soft, cushy, supple and warm and never cloying or obnoxious. As it stays with you, you get little whiffs of rich honeyed candy surround you. This is the type of fragrance that makes people lean in to get a better sniff, so this can be classified as "sexy" in my book. But this is expensive smelling and refined and not vulgar in the least. Classy, sophisticated and elegant can all be used to describe this. I found a 1 oz bottle for next to nothing on line, but I can see this skyrocketing in value if this ever gets discontinued. This is definitely one to keep you eye on if you see it at a bargain. It's that good.

churinl

I picked up a 1.7 oz bottle for pennies from an Ebay seller who sells warehouse damaged bottles of perfume. The fragrance is 100% intact, though the beautiful bottle lacks a cap and has some scratches. I am going off of a single spray to the top of my hand, and it is very potent - a mimosa bomb! I thought I detected some sort of berry-like tartness, or cassia. If memory serves me correctly, I think that cassia leaf and mimosa are related, so that might explain it. I am almost positive that I have previously sampled this and enjoyed it more than I am right now. Not that it's bad or that I don't like it, because I do. It's just not the type of fragrance I normally gravitate towards.
Now that it is softening up, I am getting that contradictory creamy powderiness some fragrances possess and it's becoming more beautiful. Someone mentioned a licorice note (from the tonka?) and I am definitely getting that and enjoying it. The vanilla and sandal are also making their presence known, and it supports the mimosa nicely. The other notes have not yet revealed themselves, but this has yet to even begin drying down. My initial takeaway is that I need to be cautious with fragrances starting mimosa. Some, such as Byzantine by Rochas, take my breath away. Others - the ones that smell close to cassia - need to be approached more cautiously. If the direction DDlN is now taking is any indication, I can see myself liking this very much. It is becoming softer and cozied. I think it will be more suited for the fall and winter. This is a quite satisfactory quasi-blind buy with great potential for the cooler months.

GabbieSmithWindley

This is pure elegance and happiness in a bottle. Not sure what makes this fragrance categorized as balsamic, as I don't detect any 'balsams' in this perfume. It's a bit honey-esque from the mimosa, but not as loud as you would find it in, let's say, Lancome Poeme. It's a dryer, more powdery side of the mimosa tree. The tonka bean lends to that facet of the fragrance, and makes it creamier while adding a touch of sweetness that refrains from being cloying. A very, VERY under-rated offering from Givenchy.

Note: All signs point to this fragrance being DISCONTINUED. The only online brick-and-mortar who currently has this in stock is Macy's. Sephora, Ulta, etc., that used to carry this no longer have it available. Also sold out on Amazon and Fragrancenet, with FragranceX charging well over $100 for a bottle AFTER the discount. If you love this fragrance, find it and stock up now while you can.

Science&Scents

This was a love at first sniff for me. Elevated, powdery (but not too powdery) mimosa floral with this intoxicating undertone of tonka bean. Projection is rather soft but the trail this leaves has gotten several men to comment (sometimes too) positively. Longevity is pretty great as well: 6+ hours.

This is a ladylike fragrance that is still sexy but not vulgar. This would be great for a first date, dinner, evening work events, etc. Although I think evening with DDLN, this is one of the most season-less, versatile frags I own. She's always appropriate IMO.

For as long as I can find this, she'll be in my collection.

Deirdre1969

I wasn't going to buy any more perfumes -- I'm so happy with my little collection where Coco Noir and Shalimar Parfum Initial are the stars -- but the other day I tried Dahlia Divin le Nectar in the store and I ADORE it. The first sniff from the paper was ecstatically sunny. I guess I like mimosa.
Yes, it is sweet, but my skin turns everything woody/spicy, so on me it's kind of like a sweetening-up of sandalwood, never harsh, just creamy golden silk.
I also love the bottle, which is a factor for me, not gonna lie.
I think I'm going to delete everything off my want list except Dahlia Divin le Nectar!

Dandon

I love this fragrance, it's classy, not too strong, rich yet not too sweet, stays all day. Very nice to wear. I had a sample and had to get the bottle! The bottle looks great as well!

lmwimsatt

This has that grape candy smell that I love so much

Nicki6089

Absolutely love it

clintjr82

This is pretty well done for a woman’s fragrance as a man. A sexy grown woman Scent. Worth a try or a buy. My opinion Givenchy is in the lead for designer scents they make the best for women. Most of there scents are phenominal

stephanieklein

I got lured in with the mimosa top note, but then, once the tonka showed up, everything changed. First, let me say, I do not like licorice notes. Licorice is not listed in the notes. Second, I love tonka. But in this scent, the way the mimosa works with the tonka, I'm guessing, gives me the star anise / licorice note, which kills it for me.

I was hoping this would be my new Mimosa scent now that I've drained my L'Artisan Mimosa Por Moi. Alas, it is not. Sigh.

liverpudlian78

Mmm, I would like a bottle of this. I like the dominant mimosa note, which makes it bright and cheerful, but the other notes keep it cosy and creamy as well, rather than overwhelmingly floral.

Lazzarwa

Dahlia Divin le Nectar de Parfum does not stand in my usual alley, scent-wise. I tend to prefer more unisex fragrances, but this one has steadily grown on me and now I just find it absolutely intoxicating!

The mimosa is predominant here, and if I can detect other notes, they are blended so tightly together that none really stands out. This powerful scent loses its intensity after an hour or so and remains pretty linear throughout. It projects nicely, but maybe a little too much for a school or work setting. On my skin the scent lasts forever (8-10 hours).

Le Nectar seems to be a "statement" fragrance. Albeit sweet, it is also mature, strong, and bold. I think this is what I like so much about this offering, it's mature without smelling dated. It has the others Givenchy's Dahlia Divin DNA, but with an added creaminess and un je ne sais quoi that sets it appart.

One of my favorite scent.

Carpe Noctem

I not only wanted to buy this as soon as I sprayed it, I wanted to love it thoroughly. I've tried it a few times and I would buy it if not for this ONE note-it's not bad on me like cumin is, but it's very strange and was a game changer and I didn't end up buying it after all.

From the list of notes, everything looked like it'd be wonderful and a sure-buy. I wish I knew what that note is because it stayed the entire time. Chalk it up to chemistry?

MoniSK

This is perfect warm, very rich, sweet scent and i absolutely enjoy wearing it. Its sexy, best for upcoming winter.

Aren

Sweet vanilla and very mellow. Smells identical to Max Mara, I own them both. If you want a more bargain perfume then go for Max Mara because its 95% same.
I blind-bought this and it is very pleasant and nice. I guess I expected a liiiiittle more, but I will definitely wear it until the bottle in empty :)

Strong&Bold

I can't think of any similarity with GBH Red.
This is a very feminine, sweet, floral and I dare to say simple scent.
Red is on the contrary, rather masculine, woodsy and complex.
I have both and enjoy both but, IMO, the are nothing alike.

riham.mansour

beautifull scent... the kind of perfumes that makes u happy whenever u wear it. reminds me of weddings. good longtivity.

Annabear

The first 30 minutes or so screams enough sugar and sweetness to bring on a diabetic coma. I dislike sweet fragrances, they’re mainly suitable for very young girls in my opinion, but to each their own,
Eventually the sugar overload dissipates and what’s left is a pleasant enough air of something. Can’t identify what flowers are represented, nor am I getting powdery, and certainly nothing balsamic. It’s a like at this stage. If I had the opportunity to have tried this before buying I probably would have resisted the purchase.

tvargova

I love wearing this perfume during warm summer nights when I have my white dress on and my skin is tanned and glowing. It's a creamy sweet, simple scent - dare I say people pleaser. No screechy note here.

I get tons of compliments whenever I wear it (which is always nice). Projection is quite good for the first hour, longevity is not the best on my skin. I feel the need to reaply every two hours, but I love the initial blast so much that I don't honestly mind. Definitely my favorite from the Dahlia Divin line.

EmmaBelle

I can't recall a Givenchy scent I've ever disliked. They do perfume so well, and this is no exception. It's a walk in an exotic garden on a warm spring day, surrounded by the heady scent of abundant creamy mimosa warmed by a golden sun, with a hint of jasmine and rose carried on a light breeze. I think this would translate really well into an evening fragrance too, just applied more liberally. A truly luxury EDP.

danceforjoy

This is gorgeous! While deb.m is correct that no discussion of the notes is necessary, I will bring it up just because, even though I know I am no expert, rarely am I this off base with regards to notes. I turned . . . 29 a couple of days ago, and I received DDLN as a gift.

Anyway, the opening - DDLN boldly filled the room. That alone is a refreshing trend reversal. I could have sworn, SWORN, that the predominate notes were some sort of peach-apricot jam and balsamic vanilla. Small consolation that I was right about the vanilla - and a lovely, mature vanilla it is; a perfume vanilla, not niche cookies-out-of-the-oven, or vanilla extract from your cupboard.

I suppose what I was interpreting as apricot/peaches and cream is the combination of the mimosa and the vanilla. Mimosa is one of the notes that I still do not feel like I have a good handle on.

This next part may seem critical, but it really isn't. The top, mimosa, and the bottom, vanilla and woods, are very powerful. As a result, the jasmine/rose center gets quite buried. Honestly, I'm quite okay with that; that note combination as been pretty well explored already. I didn't miss it.

I would say, if anything, the 'middle' is musk, vanilla and sandalwood - this is the only part I am a little iffy on; sandalwood and I have a challenging relationship.

The tail of this perfume is a dark, quiet, elegant vetiver, a completely different vibe than the opening. It lasts 12+ hours.

In the face of new regulations and shifting social norms, some companies retreat and water down their offerings. Givenchy goes bold.

I was very glad to get this. It's beautiful, the bottle is simply stunning, and I would never have thought to select it for myself.

flowers-in-the-springtime

I was never a great fan of Givenchy perfumes although I do admit owning a few bottles of L'interdit (vintage of course), but the present perfumes are little lack lustre
Divin Le Nectar shouts very loudly and takes centre stage. I fear it opens with an almost cloying burst of florals but then it settles and starts to quieten down a little. The Jasmine keeps this perfume on its toes but mimosa predominates. The rose is a rather quiet little note which hovers inconspicuously in the background.
I must admit that I really like it. I like the beautiful bottle and the heaviness of the perfume. The silage is excellent and the longevity is very impressive for a modern fragrance. Although nothing like Alien, I put Dalia Devin Nectar in that genre of perfume, simply for its sheer audaciousness and for being so in your face.
By the end of the day I was loving this and feel that at some point, I will have to get a FB to add to my collection.
To sum it up, this gets 10/10 for silage, 8/10 for longevity (8 hours), 9/10 for fabulousness and I would say this works better in winter than in the summer as its a rather heavy number.
The fragrance leans to the feminine rather than being unisex and you need to try before you buy.

chloematilda

Mmmmmmmmimosa! This is truly a sparking vanilla floral. I've tried the original, but this one has something special. It's brighter and sunnier and the mimosa truly plays the starring role.

It's an amazing oriental floral with a glorious base of vanilla, tonka and sandalwood. Smooth, creamy at drydown but the mimosa remains the star. It's summery, not sweet, perfectly balanced so it's not too flowery. I love the drydown - a bit powdery with a hint of roses.

Gorgeous bottle, great projection and longevity - well worth the buy. An all season easily unisex scent - sensuous touch of musk. Mimosa perfection.

cherelune

Dahlia Divin Le Nectar de Parfum opens on a strong, sweet floral note, which I assume is the mimosa (I am not yet familiar with this note). Pressing my nose to my wrist, it is a little powdery and almost overpowering. It would certainly be suffocating in very hot conditions.

Smelling closely, I pick up a dry, slightly musty note, a little bitter, which I think must be the vetiver. I seem to pick this smell up in some fragrances I've tried that contain vetiver. It has ruined a few of them for me, but in Le Nectar, it is definitely not a deal breaker, since this phase doesn't last long and it doesn't manifest too aggressively.

Le Nectar settles so beautifully, sweet but elegant, rich and creamy and warm. This is no gourmand vanilla. It is a golden sweetness, sophisticated and grown-up.

I'd been hoping to own one of the Dahlia Divin fragrances since I sampled the EDP, EDT, and Le Nectar a few months ago, when I immediately fell in love with them. To the best of my memory, they are closely related, and any one of them would have been good enough for me. I am so happy I was able to score a very slightly used bottle of Le Nectar at such a great price! It is one of my favorite full bottle buys!

Smell No Evil

I finally got my bottle so happy was the last one in store so lucky . I temporarily have my Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon fix with this .
OH My ! someone spilled mimosa on my shirt ! no problem I love it ! Whats better than vanilla boozy champagne flavor all over you?

2nd note: now here it states mimosa as the flower but surprisingly on me it takes on mimosa champagne go figure LOL , try it special , delicious boozy

HEAVEN!

Truly heavenly, the title Divin fits this wonderful scent perfectly. Like the birth of a Divine Goddess rising as the sun rises behind her is the image that conjures up smelling this.

winterchirp

This is my signature scent! Beautifully long lasting and great sillage.

The 2 perfumes that were narrowed down to buy was the 2012 version of Miss Dior (which I did love) and Givenchy Dahlia Divin Le'Nectar parfum but this one had the extra kick. There is no reason to buy both for Fall/Winter scents. The Dior brand has some beautiful scents and is still in the running for some summer purchases.

This didn't come off as powdery at all on my skin, I'm quite surprised powdery was the top description. I'm not a fan of overly powdery parfums so I must have a unique chemistry that brings out every note I love.

Creamy, complex and unique.

monbella23

One of my favourite perfumes ever. It's creamy, elegant, and rich. This is always my number one and go to perfume. The only time it's not is for nights out when I want something widly sexy. I work in a department store and let me tell you this is my MOST complimented perfume by customers. I've lost count of the amount of times I've been cashing out a customer and they commented on how lovely or beautiful I smell.

I've also been asked a few times if I'm wearing Youth Dew by Estee Lauder. I've never smelled that one but I guess they smell similar if people are asking me that!

socorrosouza

Beautiful scent, smells of caramel and mimosa (probably tonka and vanilla accord that gives a smoky tone to the vanilla), sweet but not cloyingly so.Lasts for 7/8 hours with moderate to heavy sillage for the first 3 hours. Much better on my skin than the others of the Divin line. Truly elegant perfume.

Amac24

not my type of fragrance too bitter for me.. I received a 2.5oz bottle of this as a gift it has been sprayed 3 times max if anyone wants to purchase or swap please let me know by messaging me on here thanks. :)

trompik123

Love ❤️ this, sweet floral ( ñam mimosa , my childhood spring smell) feminine long lasting and elegant, I keep smelling my wrist when I wear it
I have dry skin and I don't proyect to much and this work for me

carolinaesp

Something in this reminded me of J'adore L'or, which I love. Not surprisingly, they share 4 similar notes: tonka, vanilla, jasmine and rose. Very well done, a comfortable, sophisticated sweet perfume. It's great that this is cheaper and easier to find than L'or.

Edemay

I owned the original Dahlia divin EDP, EDT and now this one.
I wanted to love the first two but something just bothered me, a sour intense bitter? Floral note? Im not sure, but its in every flanker and its not Jasmine. Possibly mimosa that is if there is mimosa in the first 2 and its just not listed.

Moving on, THIS is my favourite and one that works for me.
The intense florals are softened and sweetened with vanilla and tonka. It smells sophisticated and feminine. A crowd pleaser and compliment getter but definitely not boring.
One spray is enough if you plan on being close with someone as this has perfect strength.
A new elegant love of mine.

rufflesbows

I wholeheartedly agree with the reviewer below that this perfume smells like Ludens cherry cough drops! Like, EXACTLY! Not that this is a bad thing, just not what I expected. This is linear to my nose. Very very sweet. Very long lasting.

Soofiya

For me,this is more a fall, winter fragrance(also can make a great night perfume for warmer months) ,a great one.I'd definitely buy it for this fall and highly recommend everyone to try it.
It reminded me original dahlia divin but they're different enough to have them both.dahlia divin le nectar stands out among all the other perfumes I tested today.it's warm and sensual, powdery creamy.it's vanilla-jasmine combo reminded me Jean Paul gaultier classique intense as it's mentioned in review of Germany, but it's not as jasmine-centered as classique intense.dahlia divin le nectar has a great powdery floral accord grounded by sweet, creamy,a tad dark woods and vanilla.it's delicious in an adult way.another thing that I like about it is it's fresh, clean, powdery quality which we don't usually see in sweet, balsamic scents.Longevity and sillage are both satisfying and it's bottle is very elegant and eye catching.givenchy is one of my favorite perfume brands and didn't disappoint me again.it's only down side is that it's veryyy expensive here. 2.5 oz bottle has more than 90$ price tag which is exactly twice as it's price in other countries!! If they sell it with it's true price I will buy it ASAP

Wooster97

Sweet tonka * ,mimosa and rose!warming and sensual ,lingering yet fulfilling!this is pure nectar and such a beautiful aroma!very very classy scent!

Cassiano

Dahlia Divin Eau de Parfum was launched in September 2014 and was created by François Demachy (Dior house). The inspiration was haute couture, as if each bottle of Dahlia Divin was a custom dress, illuminated by thousands of gold threads and gemstones involving the skin.
In September 2015, Givenchy launched the Eau de Toilette version, fruitier and luminous. In June 2016, it was the turn of Dahlia Divin Le Nectar de Parfum, reported as an "elixir of divine power."

This time, it seems that the contract with Alicia Keys was not renewed and the face was the model Candice Swanepoel. The bottle became DIVINe (pun intended): it has gradient finishing and details that symbolize small gold leaves, in the lid.
Signing the creation, for the third time, François Demachy. Under the concept of the goddess woman, whose presence is radiant and golden like the sun and gold (so present in this line), he decided to create a golden fragrance, working the nuances of mimosa (Acacia Decurrens, called false mimosa), on a body of jasmine and rose (as in the EDT version) and a base with sandalwood and tonka bean, with a few pinches of vanilla and vetiver, bringing back the sensuality of the EDP version.

On the skin (at least on mine), I did not find the exit very pleasant. The mimosa, which may present mellow, powdery and even green nuances, brought a very sweet and somewhat plasticized facet, giving a very synthetic result to my nose. It's a very strong floral, which makes me a little nauseated. But wait, because this is just the beginning!
As it evolves (and takes time to evolve), the best features of previous versions begin to appear: the Sambac jasmine - beautiful and white, with its unique scent - begins to dominate the environment and the creaminess of sandalwood and tonka beans join the sweetness of the vanilla, conferring sensuality. The smell of the mimosa loses strength, but it remains until the end, only less cloying and much more balanced. After an hour or so, no more significant changes occur and the perfume stays linear.

Dahlia Divin Le Nectar de Parfum is sold as an Eau de Parfum Intense, but that does not mean that it has more concentration of essential oils. It seems to me that the absolute of mimosa was used, precisely, for this function, which was to make the fragrance stronger.
And the truth is that Dahlia Divin Le Nectar de Parfum is a bomb, in every way. It projects and lasts absurdly, with only two or three sprays. It is a guaranteed investment for anyone who does not like to throw money away.

To finish, already anticipating the common questions, I do not think this version is better and worth more than the Eau de Parfum version. Particularly, I prefer the EDT version because it left me in a good mood. The EDP version has the best construction, bringing the best of both worlds (day and night, heat and cold, innocence and seduction). And Le Nectar is the most exaggerated, made to attract attention and reign in any situation.

DarlingNikki

Yowza, this is dynamite! So French, so chic, so classy and yet at the same time, so accessible! This is a golden beauty (ahh, sweet Mimosa, there you are my love!) with tonka bean, sandalwood and jasmine embracing her lovingly while a perfect hint of vetiver comes to inject a cool touch to keep the warm trio from smothering its own flame. Sorry to sound pseudo-poetic, but this caught me so off-guard! A definite holy grail delight for more formal occasions, I wouldn't dare wear this to my place of work, except well maybe to cause a stir LOL! Divin en effet!

Meels

I've always wanted to find a perfume that reminds of perfumeries - that exotic ether that I just can't pin-point in one specific bottle. Until now. I think this may be it! Warm and deep, with a typical (so I think) Givenchy edge that keeps it from being too sweet or cloying.

amoranda

Going to see if I can get away with making this my work/professional scent. I like it a lot. It feels mature but not old, sweet but balanced, and feminine. It also has a hint of sexiness to it. Very much me! Will update after a week to see how it goes.

vkmcewen

I purchased this after falling in love with a sample spray at Sephora. It's not quite what I remember, but lovely. There is a fruity cherry note in the beginning that I swear smells like cherry Ludens lozenges. And powder. It wasn't what I remembered nor do I see anyone mentioning anything like that in other reviews. The 'cherry' has faded and it's a warmer powdery very feminine scent now that seems pleasant but not really a good match for my skin chemistry. Will be returning this.

Mammuchan

Beautiful bottle.. but, I have yet to find a Givenchy scent that I like. This one, overly sweet for an hour, then disappeared without a trace.

Oh, she smells good!

This one and the edt version is a nice combo for the spring and summertime but i sprayed this on me earlier and it's november and it still smells so good. I actually smell nectar.

eirenelisa

This is nice, for a while at least. The scent reminds me of when I used to layer JLO Live with a vanilla sandalwood narcissus perfume (the now discontinued Vanilla Creme Fleur by Voluspa). Nectar has a beautiful mimosa note which unfortunately is only in the top/middle of development. I love the beginning of Nectar, but the drydown is only so-so.

Veroushka

In love with this perfume! Just got it as a present from my son. So chic and elegant...can't describe it any other way.

Suzi

This perfume is divine very well named and it is like the nectar of the gods it is gorgeous and floral yet warm and sensuous at the same time. Every time I wear it people definitely notice it's beautiful scent is hard not to miss. It has great silage it lasts all day on me and bottle is beautiful too hard not to like this one I give it a 10/10 it is divine in every sense of the word.

eu4ia

This is delicious, wonderful, amazing.. everythiiing! Reminds me of a sunny winter morning and a big smile on someone's face. So warm but still pretty fresh, I love it!

raiza1990

This is heavenly...but seriously overpriced.
The perfume is delicious but does not project. The original one have much more sillage, and honestly, this one is not that different in terms of smell. I think it is an unnecessary flanker.
I like the original one better, it is more luminous and not powdery like this one. But both are rich, elegant sweet perfumes.

Dazzling

I was expecting too much from this but all I get is over sweetness and something that's synthetic to my nose. I am a huge fan of vanilla yet this one didn't work a bit for me. Spillage is okay but itvvanishes totally away from my skin in like three hours, not even a trace. And yes, my skin does does drink up perfume so spillage and longevity matter a lot to me. BUt even the first few minutes, the sweetness is cloying, very incomplex, straight fragrance.

nadiadncr

It's a nice perfume. It reminds me of J'adore L'or and the original Dahlia. It stays on your skin for hours but it's close to the skin. I haven't worn it outside yet to see if it draws compliments but I think it wouldn't project much...

ZBear

I got a sample of Le Nectar because I wanted to love the original Dahlia Divin, but it made me sneezy.

Compared to DD, LN is a bit fresher, no doubt because of the vetiver. I find it to be a very pretty fragrance - the jasmine and rose are well tempered by the musk and sandalwood.

This is definitely a Francois Demachy creation. It smells very proper and formal, yet with a bit of sexiness. I could see this sprayed lightly in a formal work setting, for a cocktail hour, or even a more dressy occasion. To me, LN is too dressy for just jeans and a tee.

Very womanly, and I am tempted to buy a full bottle. The only thing holding me back is the longevity. For some reason, it only lasted 2-3 hours on me before fading away. The sillage is moderate, and I will definitely try this one again or get a small bottle to wear sometimes.

Sxaninha

Nothing special.... ??! Hmmm put it on today and received 2 compliments.. Not that bad at all!

polkadot27

I tried it a few days ago, it was very forgettable for me. Nothing bad I simply detected sandalwood and white floral. It wasn't strong in projection nor lasting power. Not interesting enough. I own a few older Givenchy fragrances though I must admit I am becoming increasingly dissapointed with their latest releases. Their fragrances are just no longer unique and complex in scent. I don't even detect tonka or vanilla in this which are notes that usually compliment each other very well and smell beautiful together. It was just a total miss for me.

On the plus side the bottle is beautiful- I find it rather cute and charming, but classy all the while.

AshLeigh512

I just bought this after telling the sales lady that I was looking for something a bit sexy for a night out with my husband. This fragrance does not disappoint. It's sweet, floral and very warm and cozy. I love this scent for winter when it's cooler out. It's absolutely divine.

ScarlettX

Nice fragrance, very warm and sweet in a good way. A bit woody too.
Very pleasant scent, I have no bad emotions when I smell it.
It really smells like divine nectar, just as the name says.
I liked the Dahlia Divin EDP better, but this is also very-very good!

dglightblue

Very creamy and warm floral. Not unlike untold absolu
Keep ya posted :)

genny17

Got it today, and so far I find Nectar the best of the Dahlia line, it is smoother, more rounded, and I can see it perfect for fall and winter as it is a warm scent..Divin EDP is more floral and a bit sharp, Nectar adds a lightness and a sweet edge with the vanilla, dont expect sweet as juicy candy sweet, more a rounded vibe.It is grown up, nicely constructed, the florals are soft and rounded, it is a nice creation,it has a bit of a soapy rosey vibe like Germany said, I like it a lot! ,the vanilla keeps it from being just that! Longevity is nice but it isnt overall heady, it is actually a soft scent.
lovely!!

Germany

Love this one. Lots of mimosa Jasmine and rose to my nose , it's sweet and fresh at the same time. Like" right out of the shower" smell. Very aromatic and Really attractive. Similar vibe to calssique intense ( gold bottle ) to my nose. Like a Jasmine vanilla scent. Although the mimosa is very dominant. Childlike , fresh and sweet.
Bonus my husband likes it.
Update ,,,it gets less sweet and the soapiness comes out even more. You get whiffs of vetiver and musk and a fresh out of the shower feel for hours. It has its own character at this point it doesn't remind me of another perfume but rather a very expensive soap.

Arlene-Beatrix

It's very sweet. Lots of vanilla! Later it starts to be deeply oriental. Lots of sandalwood too. I really like it, but I can't smell much of any flowers - rose or mimosa or jasmine. Therefore, it's only a like.
Impressive bottle though.

Musky4

Very nice fragrance. It does remind me very much of the original Dahlia Divin and also Miss Dior Le Parfum, but without the intensity and rich smokiness. If you have either of those you might not need this perfume as well, but it is very nicely done and the best of the Dahlia Divin line so far, in my opinion.

1nov

it's a nice perfume .. it reminds me of Live Irresistible by Givenchy .

auroramaria

This sounds beautiful can't wait till it's out
