L'Eau d'Issey Rose & Rose by Issey Miyake

It's very strange that none of the notes support my theory but this perfume smells quite aquatic to me. I've realised that I'm not a fan of pink pepper notes so the pink pepper takes over everything else for me, but I can still say the rose and fruit notes are well balanced. Definitely not a sickly sweet scent.
Perfect office fragrance as opposed to seductive date scent imo.

Kira1110

Got it as a gift, and used every last drop of it. Only reason im not buying it again is because i want to try a more woody perfume.

I recommend if you want a feminine fresh perfume, that is both rosey and fruity. Good for everyday wear, and i got a lot of compliments on it. Takes about 30 min before it begins smelling less fruity and more rosey, and lasts around 5 hours before i had to reapply.

AnastasiaGostieva

Gourmand sugary roses with overdose of juicy (but somewhat synthetic) fruits. Very radiant. Smells expensive. It can be sold as one of MFK fragrances, for sure.

I love this perfume and wear it at fall or winter, the osmanthus is a bit too floral. Overall sillage and longevity is great. Sweet rose ambery

lychiibaebi

It was the first perfume I ever bought and I thought I liked it a lot. For me, it quickly started smelling like chemicals and the scent was too strong so I'd get a headache. People around me also commented that the scent was too old for me.

aspirina

This is a very girly and flirty scent. Raspberry and pear syrupy scent with a drydown full of bright and fresh pink roses. Some musk. Not much patchouli or woody notes on my skin. Sweet, feminine, clean. Reminds me a little bit of Givenchy irresistible velvet. It also makes me think of a fizzy raspberry drink after a while. Fun to wear in the heat of summer.

Shan101beauty

A really pretty feminine scent.

Issey Miyake Rose & Rose Edp Intense:

🗣 Two Little Words: ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!

For Me Anyway, This Is Simply Rose Perfection In A Bottle!! A Truly "Delicious" Smelling Fragrance From Start To Finish!! And So Perfect To Use In The Springtime, And Also In Hotter Summertime Weather, For This Is When This Fragrance Really Comes Alive And Really Blooms!! The Rose Is What I Would Describe As Being Jammy, And The Juice A Sweeter Take On The Original Issey Miyake Aquatic Fragrance!! I Simply Adore The Fresh Raspberry Opening, Then It Moves Swiftly Onto The Fresh Juicy Pear Note, Followed By The Spicy Pink Pepper Note, That Really Makes This Fragrance Dance!! You Can Really Smell The Bulgarian Rose, And The Other Centifolia Rose Note!! Which Blend So Seamlessly Together!! There Is Also A Bright Citrus Sparkling Note (Osmanthus) Amber, And Cashmere Wood, All Mixed In With Patchouli Which I Really Love In This Fragrance, As It Gives It A Kind Of Musky And Expensive Smelling Quality!!

This Most Certainly Is The Most Beautiful, And Uniquely Juicy Smelling Rose Perfume I've Come Across In Such A Long Time!! It Most Deffo Is One Of My Firm Favourites For Summertime/Taking Away On Holiday With Me!! Longtitivy On My Skin Is Also Good At Around 10-11hrs!! Plus It Always Draws Me The Most Loveliest Compliments When I Have It On Me!! So All In All I Really Do Absolutely ADORE ROSE & ROSE By Issey Miyake!! I Rate It As A: MASSIVE LOVE + 10/10 😍😘💕💖💖💖

clairescentience

This smells like Angel Nova without the Mugler DNA. Would have been beautiful but there's something sour and bitter here which was my problem with Angel Nova and is sadly still here.

Gemsense

Could've done without the patchouli, it makes it musty smelling. Thankfully it dries down to a sweet rosy musk slightly different from others of the same genre. This one has more spice due to the patch, so it's not so mainstream or cutesy although I like the cutesy sweet stuff, this is for those gals and guys that like a little edge to their rose.
This is what Portrait of A Lady was trying to be.

I'll def have to try this in different seasons and temps cuz I want that sweet jammy flirty in your face rose. Too much patch right now for me. Could've been named patchouli rose. Too musty .

dualaokto

So jammy in the beginning just like tons of common combination of fruits (raspberry/lychee/pear) and rose perfumes out there. Thankfully it’s only the opening, it later settled down into a warm woody ambery rose with a hint of musk. Quite unusual ending, warm cozy woody rosy. I like it that way.

Njberry3

To my nose the floral notes far overpower the fruity notes so much so I can personally barely detect them. On me it smells too floral for my liking all I smell is rose and definitely leans more mature.
I wish I could smell the raspberry and pear more. I feel like my nose is smelling the opposite to most people! Crazy

unrealgirl

super juicy and jammy raspberry and rose <3

stephanienwc

I wish this perfume was less sweet. It does do a good job of blending with the roses but I wish the rose was more dominant. The fruits overpower the flower.

daisybrown

strawberry rhubarb, autumn leaves, foreign languages, airbnbs, "portal" by rysy

Hara1980

I wouldn't call it a rose perfume. It's way too sweet, too random and fruity. You can detect the rose at some point but it's combined with a dozen other notes so why call it Rose and Rose and not Raspberry and Raspberry or Pear and Pear? Still it's a passepartout and modern scent.
I tried this one today and I also tried Red roses by Jo Malone. Jo Malone is definitely the winner by far!

looking

I tried this on my wrists without seeing the notes and at first I thought there was lychee in there.
Super sweet like anything with raspberry in it, but the pink pepper touch is very present and wakes it up. It feels... fizzy, like a glass of sweet bubbly rosé.
I can't feel any patchouli but there is definitely something woodsy at the base, like cedar/pencil shavings.
I wished the raspberry note would be more subtle, since to me it's always headache inducing and a bit too sweet for my taste.
Silage is good. Great perfume!

Eugenia Olesen

A rose with raspberry syrup. Tasty, sweet and very persistent. Scent for those who loves intense and loud roses. It gives freshness, a feeling of youth

consistentresearchpractic

a fruity rose with mass appeal. avoids the usual issues people have with rose perfumes (overly powdery, too vintage etc.) the pink pepper and raspberry really wake up this perfume and make it feel chic and modern. It's pleasant and inoffensive, but you still feel like you're wearing perfume when you put it on. I wear this to work.

dancingdear

RIP Issey Miyake
From first spray to final notes this is a really beautiful fragrance. I think a lot of rose scents can come off as cold or powdery this is neither. It has a fresh opening but it is very inviting.
It is a joyful rose scent and when it fades the amber and cashmere mixed with warm skin leaves such a seductive scent.

BHCC

It smells more like lychee than anything else, way too fruity
I had a headache by the time I detected any rose

Jenyyyyyyyy12

it was tooooo sweet for me, and not like the feedbacks it was not that unique to me.

Taylor_S90

I keep adding perfumes to my collection (I have a ton) and I come across some pretty good ones but baby when I tell you NOTHING comes close to this! Anytime I wear this people are not only telling me how good I smell but beg to know the name and where they can get it. My pre teen wants it as a birthday gift and my mother in law wants it as well. It’s my go to on a special day or date night. It’s just the best I’ve had to date. It’s beautiful bc of the floral notes it’s sexy, sweet and juicy bc of the raspberry and pear, and that patchouli makes it last making it well worth your money!

simnonin

Ever since I started layering this with La Vie Est Belle, I love it even more!

Melaniesherriff

Lovely rosey scent with a great big pink pepper punch, its oh so lovely. Beware it's not a delicate timid type rose type scent. If you looking for a more edgy type rose fragrance I would recommend this. It lasts strongly for around 5 hours there after it fades but does last throughout the entire day. Pair this with english rose body butter. Silage decent as well. Glad I bought it

Monniex

I have only just received this fragrance so may edit this review once I have worn it for longer, but my first impression is this is a really lovely juicy fresh rose scent.

This was not a blind buy as I tested this at a department store and it's nice from the first whiff. Not a very complex fragrance, it smells somewhat reminiscent of Turkish delight (as you'd expect) but in a pleasant, wearable way. It's definitely a food sort of rose to my nose and the projection is stronger than I expected, as I can smell it very clearly when using my hands which is really enjoyable.

It is clean and fresh and pretty, and a perfect fit for spring in the daytime. Suitable for spring and summer dresses and wearing anything that's pink.

Stoicchild

I'm so not a Issey Miyake fan but this is very nice. Not every perfume house knows how to come up with a good Rose perfume. Rose perfumes are very complex to make, if notes are imbalanced the perfume can often come out shit, but this is actually nice. I did not expect to like this as I hate most Issey perfumes. Years ago I bought Soleil de Neroli and it was such a disappointment. People like it from a far when it's in the air but not up close. It's headache inducing! Most Issey perfumes are like that, they're just too much when you're smelling them closely. They're too perfumey, as they contain too much Jasmine and Musk which I absolutely HATE.

Morbid85

This perfume is for someone who is obsessed with Rose like me. It might not be good in your body chemistry so do not blind buy unless you love rose.

The rose note here is kinda fresh ,doesn’t smell like grandma or vintage rose fragrance. This is kinda millennial rose with a touch of Raspberry. The DNA from l'eau d'issey is also here which I love ! Dry down is powdery cashmere with the hint of rose still.

sherly123

Start with a lychee jelly smell for less than 1min, juicy and fruity. Then come with rose and other floral smell for 15min around. Finish with a woody and musky smell.

wish.1

Yummy roseish raspberry jam, smells like perfumery shops. Long lasting, a really complimante magnet. Love it really!

violetstorm

soooo not quite getting all the wonderful reviews on this one...........hmmm maybe my chemistry jsut doesnt pick this one up lol.......on me its just a generic raspberry rose scent - nothing unique

however it is very light & its not bad its just rather plain.............BUT it is a great layering scent due to its versatile rose & lightness it has...........i layered it today with oscar de la rentas so de la renta & what a pretty match :)

thebloff

Heavy raspberry with strong rose underneath it, even after drydown. Comparable to Lancome's La Nuit Tresor, but slightly lighter. Gorgeous sweet scent. 8/10

save_hi-so

I think the scent is more fruity, which makes it appear younger, but after a while it smells like cashmere and patchouli, which makes the center of the scent more mature. This smell enhances the sexiness, thus I believe this fragrance is ideal for college students to begin working on.

washudtoj

Of all the l'Eau d'Isseys (pour femme) I've smelt, this one is my favourite.

Let's see... I've smelt the original, Florale, Pure, Pure Nectar, Nectar d'Issey Première Fleur, Rose & Rose, Shades of Kolam, and A Drop. And my verdict is Rose & Rose is the best one (despite its stupid name).

If I have to rank the Isseys pour femme I've smelt, it would be:
1. Rose & Rose
2. Pure Nectar & Nectar d'Issey Première Fleur (tied)
3. Pure
4. Shades of Kolam
5. Original EDT
6. A Drop
7. Florale

Rose & Rose is somewhat reminiscent of Florale, but it's much fresher and doesn't dry down to the smell of withered bouquet of flowers, which Florale does on me.

It's addictive, delicious, and simply classy. There's no powderiness to it, which I'm glad because many rose perfumes tend to go to that route. This one stays fresh throughout its life.

I love rose. And I love raspberry. And this one has both!

It is also somewhat youthful, though it unmistakably has that l'Eau d'Issey DNA.

This came out with its masculine counterpart, Wood & Wood (equally stupid name), but the latter, while being very pleasant in the opening, has a nasty ambroxan dry down that I cannot stand. Thankfully this one doesn't.

Longevity and sillage are both moderate. I like it this way instead of being a rose fragrance that fills a room *ahem* Moschino Toy Boy *ahem*.

Not boring or typical rose at all, in my opinion. It's very yummy and dewy!

Chinello23

I thought I hated rose. I thought I hated Issey Miyake scents.

This stuff is fucking delicious... I've never smelled a fruity, floral mix quite like this one before.

Rose notes usually sicken me - they often smell like tepid rosewater with nothing to redeem but this juice is..... oh wow.

Update: It's so JAMMY. It is the jammiest (yes this is now a word), sweet rose combo I've ever smelled. Literally edible. I'm in love.

gls512

Honestly, I'm quite disappointed by this one. I love rose scents but it is so hard to find a good one, and I had high hopes for this one. It's overpoweringly fruity and I can barely get the scent of rose underneath that. It also gives me a headache when I wear it.

SailorV

Another sweetly clean rose. Nice but uninspired. I wouldn't mind getting a whiff of it from someone else, but I wouldn't chose it from the myriads of rose perfumes out there.
The opening is fruity with watery pear and raspberry. I can also sense a hint of dry pink pepper. The rest of the scent is mostly rose, which is not edible enough to be called jammy, but definitely of the sweeter kind. It has some of the typical dewiness of the L'Eau d'Issey line, too, but it's not as aquatic as the original. In the base the scent turns a little creamier, which I think is mainly from the cashmeran.
I think Issey can do better. The older rose flanker, L'Eau d'Issey Florale, had more of the Issey DNA and was more interesting in general. I also prefer L'Eau d'Issey Nectar de Parfum over this by several miles.

No idea why this got 16 votes as similar to Delina. Delina has inspired a rose trend in mainstream perfumery, but not every fruity rose smells like Delina - and this just doesn't.
I'm also confused why this is an EDP Intense, it acts like a regular EDP on me.

pinkslippers

At first, this seems like a generic fruity rose perfume with quite a noticeable woody base. As the day goes by, I catch myself sniffing wafts of something sweet with a slight woody undertone and it is becoming quite addictive. It must be the raspberry note. Now I can smell the jammy rose note quite well and love to reapply throughout the day to smell it again and again.

Surprisingly this is quite tenacious on my skin. I sprayed it at the back of my neck in the morning, showered in the evening, put on another perfume the next morning and I can still smell slight wafts of it when the wind blows through my hair. Amazing! I live in a tropical climate so perhaps the heat helps. So happy to have discovered another Issey Miyake perfume to love.

R0x0lana

L'eau d'Issey all do not seem to agree with my chemistry. It gives me headache and there are some notes that just bother me. I don't even know why I tried this, but it definitely has the DNA of the original and I get the same reaction. It is too strong for me for sure. I wouldn't call this mild.

VioletOrchid

This is a soft and sweet rose petal scent. I don’t detect pepper unfortunately. I wish it had more woody notes. It’s not a perfect rose scent to me, but I still appreciate it. I like the cone bottle and the slanted box.
Will not repurchase this one.

Scandipersian

Beautiful beautiful fragrance! That combination of raspberries and sweet rose petals in all eternity! Had a sudden crush on the raspberry in Lancome’s la vie est belle INTENSÉMENT, until the suffocating dry down reminded me how I hate lvb’s lingering heaviness and toothaching sweetness! Issey’s rose & rose has all that raspberry freshness without the heaviness of lvb. Tart raspberry and sweetest rose petals in a (to me) gourmand parfum that stays just as fresh as first burst, hour after hour after hour.
I don’t get any peppery notes, the rose petals are very real and any peppery note is inherent, just as sweet as Kashan roses that are used for distilled rose water.

carlahoffman

Starts out with a strong rose/fruity scent that I really like. I like a nice rose scent but to me the pink pepper is the dominant scent here. After a hour it dries down to a sweet rosey scent that doesn't smell like the old ones that grandma wore, for this is pretty and alluring. For A toiletry the longevity is amazing long, I could still gets nice hints when I woke up today. The sillage starts out strong and then settles down to a moderate scent. I would wear it anytime and it work very good as a cold weather scent. it comes it a really cool looking bottle!!

derliesl

I don't understand tihs perfume. It starts out really fresh and fruity, a spring scent, but when it dries down the cashmeran comes out and it turns into a fuzzy warm scent. Unfortunately the fruity rose only lasts for about an hour. I really can't decide if it fits young women or old ladies. I would have to try it again in ice cold winter and again in hot summer weather to find out which one it likes more.

ManoChrome

Rose based scents are not so popular now, so I found it quite daring from Issey Miyake to come out with a scent so totally centered on rose. They did it, and they did it well! It is a gorgeous, well rounded, very recognizably rosy rose scent. I would even call it a rose gourmand, because it reminds me of
rose lokhum. The soft, velvety cashmere base makes it rose perfection to me.I have it on my wishlist, I will totally buy a whole bottle of this beauty.
Of course, it rose is not something you like, than stay away from it :)

Hayleysmells26

This smells incredible to me !really works on my skin love it.

tessiebee

Light, pretty, low key rose with raspberry lemonade. Very watercolour, not bold. Agree it's similar to Chloe and other rosewater type scents. A touch fruity and quite fresh. Nice.

LisaMari

Opens with a very sweet beautiful rose and then dries down to a soft pear musk but also with this odd public toilet note - like a clean, cold public toilet with cheap decrepit soap

dglightblue

Om nom nom nom

I am bias as I dig rose, and issey is The Man.

Ok.
Rosey, a bit jammy rosey, wood, light wood. General great d'issey-ness.
This isnt the same as that while line.

Sorta the same feel:
Rochas rose intense
Oscar rose blanc (I think its called)
Perhaps elements of Lancome rose la vie est belle without the sweet Lancome DNA
Not as fuzzy woody as white tea wild rose.

Hmm it's not like a garden rose so much, not like stella, not like chopard, um... hmmm.

Lasted well, I totally am biased and loved it.
A good 5-6 hours longevity on me and good silage whaft

Rose du soir

I'm surprised to not see watermelon as the main note. This is an aquatic watermelon with some fresh and sweet rose. An uncomplicated fragrance, pretty soft, good for Summer. Nothing exceptional, but it's pleasant and longevity is pretty good. It's definitely a calone bomb though, you need to like this note to appreciate this perfume.

Pusur

No. No . No. Issey is one of my favourite creators so I am truly disappointed. I almost could not recognise rose. It disappeared in a cloud of some sweet, fruity clouds. After some hours I can feel a trace of something that could be interesting, but still, where is elegance of Issey Miyake? But maybe it is not my day ;)

Pez_Enelrio

sharp and synthetic.
anyways i start to get bored of this type of fragrances...
feel like still everyone wants a piece of the success which chloe by chloe started and in which I think it still number 1.

raiza1990

A soft fruity rose with bad sillage and longevity. Not bad, but done a thousand times. In this genre, i prefer the fragrances from Lancôme.

ewanninger

I’m sorry to say that this perfume doesn’t last long at all!!
It’s a shame because this smells amazing - very fresh, light and sweet.
BUT after short 10 minutes all I was left with is the smell of the cashmere wood.. (which wasn’t bad at all but kind of disappointing after the strong opening I smelled and loved got lost).

Wyded

I tried it last week, it's a pretty rose perfume, in the same vein as rose de Chloe and Stella mccartney, absolutely my type of rose, not sour, a bit sweet and fresh

rdickey

Is this pre-release? I can't find this for sale anywhere online, it's not even listed on the official Issey Miyake parfum website...
