Viva La Juicy Gold Couture is a new version of the Viva La Juicy fragrance from 2008 by Juicy Couture, coming out in August 2014. The fragrance is created by Honorine Blanc as a glamorous and decadent version of the original.

This "golden" composition begins with luscious wild berries that form an introduction to the heart of Sambac jasmine and honeysuckle. The base features warm aromas of sandalwood, golden amber, caramel and vanilla elixir.

The classic design of the bottle and packaging takes golden color, decorated with pink letters and logos. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Vermeer

This is a thick blanket of dense, sugary, creamy caramel frappé with a dollop of vanilla syrup. Longevity and projection both very good. Definite compliment getter. Flirty, frivolous and doesn't take itself seriously. I wouldn't say it smelled expensive, it smells a little synthetic to me on off days and the sweetness can be overbearing - I would avoid wearing this during summer for sure. However, it is absolutely stunning in cold weather and when I'm in the mood for it, it's fabulous and smells delicious. Bottle is tacky and not to my taste. Can be found for a great price and if you enjoy gourmands and sugar, I would recommend this. Overall, it's a cosy, fun, relatively inexpensive fragrance that is worth trying, and definitely has a place in my collection.

sakukiska

Bought it first time in 2014 when it had just come out and back then it was a mouthwatering blend of berries, citruses and white florals with delicious sweet base notes that stayed long after the juiciness had faded. It was my signature fall/winter scent for years.

Now, 10 years later, confidently blind-ordered it again, but the scent is not what it used to be whatsoever. Now, all what it is, is just nauseating mess of everything sweet with an extra dose of the balsamic accord. The top and middle notes never made it to the bottle it seems.

Lasts for days tho, both on the clothes and on the skin. Can even smell it after a shower, unfortunately.

Ayshin

Linear note, the opening smell like pineapple (?) dried down to subtle vanila
Blind buy this because it's quite cheap over here (around $65 after discount) and bottle design is pretty
Please don't waste your money if you want something special, fruity and complex. There are other better same or affordable option from designers or niche houses
Longevity is bad too

saramariah

This is SO delicious! I usually dont like sweet gourmands but this is just perfect! Its like the perfect blend of everything so it doesnt become too sweet.

Sara Aliiii🩷

like a sweet treat in a bottle! It smells just like caramel with a hint of berries and vanilla. It's perfect for any girly girl who wants to feel luxurious and sweet. Wear it during the day or for a special night out and get ready for compliments!

happybyscent

To me this smells a lot like Victoria's Secret Bombshell DNA and the original Viva La Juicy. I'm not getting overly sweet caramel vibes at all but it smells like a fresh and less synthetic version of the original. On my clothes it has lasted hours and it's a fresh and fun pretty scent for all occasions.

Lorinica

After adding Viva la Juicy Noir into my collection approx a month ago I decided I need this one as well ( and I got it on an insane discount so that helps as well). At first spray I thought they're almost identical so for a moment I regretted buying this one as well but where magic happens is in a dry down. This one has more prominent vanilla and caramel base, slightly salty but still very sweet. It's intoxicationg, sexy, sultry and addictive. It's less fruity than the Noir version which as well is lighter and airier and more free spirited and the Gold one is warmer, cuddlier and way more caramelly. Noir is juicier and I'd say it's sexier and more seducive but this one is sweeter, reminiscent of a bum bum cream and has a similar vibe to Burberry Goddess ( not a dupe but 60 % similar). I prefer it over Noir...

From this one I get florals with just a hint of fruits and loads of slightly salty caramel. And from Noir I get more fruits than florals and a warm ( no salty) caramel base. They're very similar but worth having them both if you like this dna.

Well, as everyone is saying there is hardly any staying power, it hardly projects, definitely lasts better on clothes and in that case I can smell it the whole day. Overspraying and reapplying will be necessary.

cathy20145

Like a lot of other reviewers, I agree that the longevity is weak. On my skin, it disappears after 30 mins-1 hour. It is unfortunate because I love everything about it. It is sweet, vanilla-y, and caramel-y. Out of all the Viva La Juicy perfumes I own, this has the weakest performance. But compared to all the other ones, this has the most vanilla and caramel notes. I’m just sad because I love those notes. It’s a beautiful combination. I can’t recommend this to anyone who wants a long lasting perfume.

laviegourmand

Nostalgic. The berries, caramel, and cream notes really shine on me. A sexy gourmand. It only lasts a few hours, but it starts off nice and strong and fades to a pretty ambery/caramel skin scent. I like it. I picked it up for $20 at a discount store. I would never buy it full price but it's fun and takes me back to highschool in a good way.

fragheadny

I cry a little inside every time I wear this. Not because of the scent itself, but because of how much I adore it for how fleeting it is. This and Noir are heartbreakingly bad performers. I suck it up and reapply every 2 hours or so because I am so in love with the fresh caramel scent. My other caramels are on the richer/ more dense side of gourmands which I enjoy sometimes, but I often find myself wanting a lighter sweetness. VLJ Gold does that perfectly. It's flowers and berries drenched in caramel. It's fun, flirty and inviting rather than simply seductive. So beautifully girly, which many other caramel fragrances lack. I will continue throwing this in my purse to reapply until the day I hopefully find a similar scent with better performance.

donkrieg

This is just straight up sexy. Iconic viva la juicy dna with a slightly deep and salty caramel note. I previously left a negative review after having such high hopes, but it was my first spray of the bottle.

It is true you have to give it a good few sprays to reach the true scent (even let it macerate if you are patient lol).

It is addictive and sexy in a playful and youthful manner (which fits my aesthetic). If you are looking for a refine/mature sophisticated fragrance this is not it!

ThornyComplexRose

Since I love fragrance so much, I will buy expensive niche frags and buy BBW body sprays....I don't care..if it's good I'm wearing it! I never got into this brand when it was popular many years ago, and just recently purchased this...and I kind of love it for what it is. There is something about it that smells cheap/y2k-ish...lipstick-y note somewhere in it...but at the same time has me sniffing the bottle even when I'm not wearing it.

My recent layering combo: VS Berry Spill & Bare Vanilla body spray/lotion, and then top with Ariana Grande Mod Vanilla and this....seems like a lot of layers...but it has my nostrils happy, and I have gotten several compliments from people literally stopping me just to tell me how great I smell. This to me stands well on its own, but since it's not a beast mode fragrance, I think it does better as a topper in layering combos.

I purchased this at Ulta, but if you want it for a way cheaper price, go to fragrance.net...the site will sell certain fragrances for way cheaper than the original price. I am actually debating on purchasing the Noir version from FN.

AngelCakeKitty04

It smells like a hairdressers/ nail salon in the early 2000's, like wearing a juicy couture tracksuit with hair rollers in while getting your nails done. It smells quite typical celebrity fragrance like the Britney Spears fantasy line but I love it Very much alcohol when you first spray it and it dries down to a white floral/ berries scent pretty much identical to the original viva la juicy I don't get the overwhelming vanilla at all it takes about a couple hours of wearing it on me to smell the caramel note lasts a good 6 hours 💅🌸🍮🍬❤️🔥💖💝💋✨

asenath7766

I'm testing this right now through Scent Bird. My preferred profile is gourmand, so this was on my list. When I see "gold" as part of the name, I think of Commodity's Gold. This version of gold for Juicy Couture is certainly appealing to my profile, not too strong, but I feel like it doesn't last long enough. You will go through it pretty fast, so you will have to justify the price. Certainly a pretty scent though.

Shreya242

I was not a huge fan of gourmand fragrances but still i dont know why i bought it, but now i just love it. i am always reaching out for it. you get the berry note an ddepp caramel and vanilla, its a perfume you will feel satisfied after sniffing....if that makes any sense lol. i really like it and the longevity is also dcent.

Des96

Very similar to the original, just sweeter and warmer. In the OG I get the mandarin off the bat but I don’t with this, it goes straight to sweet floral fruity. I will say this mixed with Sweet Tooth is really good! I will agree with others on the short lasting power though. Fortunately to me this fragrance isn’t pricey. So far I don’t know if I prefer it over the OG as I love the citrus in that one I get.

LABIRTO

it smell very good but last 2 minutes !!!!

alena.steinberg

I pair this with sol de janeiro Cherosia 62 and omg it's a perfect pair..

cecilysmells

This is a good perfume for a gourmand lover who doesn't want to spend that much money on a perfume. The downside is that its very strong, bordering cloyingly sweet, and smells pretty juvenile like a middle school girls bathroom. Like it smells like something the girls would be wearing as they vaped their cotton candy vape in the bathroom. But tbh carmel notes are always too sweet for me.

Shimmer412

I really love this vanilla and caramel gourmand version of the original Viva La Juicy! Gold is an excellent description for it! It’s such a beautiful sweet and warm scent! I own the original Viva La Juicy, Gold Couture, and Noir and I love them all (although I find Noir to be basically identical to the original)! It’s a sweet, flirty, and even somewhat cozy fragrance!

Gold Couture has the same DNA as the original, but it’s a more gourmand version that’s especially perfect for the colder months of fall and winter. I feel like the vanilla and caramel are the stars of this version. The sandalwood adds a really subtle and nice slightly creamy and sweet wood scent. The berries add a Juicy and sweet smell, and then the florals add a lovely feminine touch. As the dry down occurs the vanilla, caramel, and sandalwood become more prominent bringing that sweet and warm scent more forward.

I typically get great longevity with my fragrances, and Gold Couture is no exception… it lasts the entire day on me. The projection is nice too, it radiates out at least an arm’s length from me.

I’m a huge fan of vanillas and gourmands, so just for reference here are some of my favorites: Kayali Vanilla 28, Gold Sugar, Burberry Goddess, Nest Golden Nectar, Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere, The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods, VS Tease Crème Cloud, and VS Tease Candy Noir

katiejon

I love it sprayed on my clothing. I definitely smell the honeysuckle! Very pleasing scent. I would have to say that I do *not* believe this has been over-hyped. It’s a unique, easily worn fragrance, at an affordable price.

tarajane91

Looking at all the positive reviews, I think my nose might be broken as I can't shake the sweat smell I get from this! Behind the sweat I can sense there's a fun, nostalgic caramel scent, but it's a no from me. Despite what people say, I don't think it's a safe blind buy!

paulinamitz

Deep and yet very feminine scent. I always receive compliments when I wear this, though almost always from men. While this does smell gourmand, it's not a foodie scent. The caramel note acts to sweeten the fragrance and does not quite equate to the slightly lactonic nature of an actual caramel candy. This is not creamy, but rather it is sweet and a much richer version of the original Viva La Juicy. My staple for a night out simply because it such a crowd pleaser.

m0userella

Bubblegum and caramel! This perfume is so sweet and fun. I don't get a lot of florals, I mostly get bubblegum. It's a sweeter version of the OG. It's not groundbreaking or unique but it's a nice smell and it's probably my favorite Juicy Couture perfume(tied with Noir).

Moonbeam28

Very similar to original Viva La Juicy. I honestly don’t smell any caramel, but I do like it and will use up my travel spray. I think my fave flanker in the Viva line is still Rose.

Kasutajanimi123

Got this as a blind buy after having 3 bottles of the OG. Love this and I would repurchase this in the future. At first when sprayed on I smell a slight grape scent which soon goes away and then it's this sweet caramel scent with floral notes. Smells pretty fresh. Longevity could be a bit better, otherwise I love the smell.

shivee

Very similar to the OG Viva la Juicy. Sugary sweet, girly, probably a safe blind buy. Unfortunately, just like the original, there is little to no longevity.

bajablast

smells like a powdery caramel on me. delicious. i don't see a lot of people talking about the powdery aspect, but i notice it a lot. i think the "Noir" (pink bottle) is sexier but this is yummier. i've got expensive perfumes in my collection but it's the Juicy Couture ones that get me compliments. love. <3

Xzini

I recommend you spray your new bottle a few times and then let it sit for a day or so. Because this is what happened to me: I remember smelling this at a store and liking it a lot and thinking I may pick it up if I find a deal. I found it for sale online and ordered it. When I sprayed it out I was so confused about how floral it was, like many others have mentioned. I even started to regret my purchase because at first it smelled too floral and unbalanced to me. But then on the next day something happened. I sprayed it out again and... I loved it!! It was the pretty, kinda soft, comforting scent that I remember from the store. Not exactly gourmand but there is something about it that really comforts and relaxes me. I get the caramel now. The unbalance I felt with it at first is gone and the floral has taken a background and isn't in your face like it was at first. This is a change that I really appreciate because now I love it! I really enjoyed wearing it to bed as well. It's not a strong fragrance but it's really enjoyable. If you are struggling with yours, I recommend giving it time.

pinkalpaca

Very similar to the original, with some sweetness added that makes it caramel-y. Another successful blind buy. My only concern is the persistence which seems very weak but I don’t mind dousing myself in this tbh.

Gazgaz

I think this perfume is completely similar to the original Viva la juicy ... I mean, you can’t even spot the difference between them at the first spray.
The only difference is that Gold Couture is about 10% thicker than the original version, which makes it seem a little more sweet and warm.
Although I am personally interested in very sweet and warm fragrances but I prefer the original one cause it think the notes are more balance. But no silage and longevity at all :)

HeatherNS

I don't have any scent memories with this, so I guess my opinion might be more.. objective? To me it does not smell juvenile, nor mature. Its just nice. It smells quite smooth and well blended. Its cozy and warm, perfect for fall. Its not a true gourmand in the sense of bwing edible, though it is sweet in a perfumey way. I love it!

cutiepi

Blind bought this because I was looking for a warm, cozy, sweet scent for winter. I love the berries and little bit of floral that comes through. I am pleasantly surprised by the longevity as well! A couple sprays in the morning, and I am still catching whiffs of it at night. It is not the most complex scent, in that the notes from the beginning stay to the end. But it is unoffensive, and smelling sweet like candy makes me happy.

Melian

It was in my "wish list" from a really long time ago. Today I finally bought it. I very like how it smells like. Of course not the best perfume I ever had, but I love it. I really like the bottle as well.

sinesthesya

I am a fruity-floral lover, but let me tell you this one has become one of my all time favorites. Even though it's a sweet perfume, I think it is well balanced, and not overpowering, at least for my taste. It has the VLJ adn, but sweeter and creamier. Love it!

CocoBlack

Gourmand girlie here.
I cannot stand this perfume. It smells good, but it gives me a headache and makes me sick.
I can appreciate it on other people. It lasts very well and has a decent projection.
But I hate it on me. Too cloying.
Fruits+flowers+caramel+vanilla+sandalwood=too much

verytrulylauren

This scent is absolutely EVERYTHING. I was hesitant to buy it as Viva la Juicy reminded me of my middle school years, but Gold Couture holds its own (and should honestly be a completely different scent name)! On my skin, it starts with the berries strongly and settles within an hour into the most delicious cookie-like edible scent- I love both phases. If you’re a gourmand girly, BUY IT!

imacat88

Got mine today and the first impression... Reminds me of burburry brit, like a direct cousin, a little more sweet and smooth, but strong and well blended.
One more for the fall/winter collection ✌️😝

stenspray

on my skin it smells almost a little “muted”. it’s kind off a skin-like caramel, vanilla and honeysuckle scent on me. I would say its a little powdery and creamy, and the vanilla, praline and caramel lingers in the air.

you have to wait atleast 10min for this to shine.
the opening smells really floral and almost like cotton with jasmine and some syrup.

BUT THE DRYDOWM IS MAGICAL!!!!
this is a gourmand scent on my skin, with wild berries, vanilla, CREAM, praline and caramel with a little hint of honeysuckle.

it definitely share some DNA with “bon bon by victor and rolf. however bon bon is more powdery with a very dominant peach scent to it. But they both have the same caramel-honeysuckle scent in my opinion.
they also share the same “soft creamy feminine” vibe.

this is my all time favorite perfume so far

looleeloo

I was looking for this one for months, hoping it'd be a more potent SDJ Cheirosa '62 dupe.
I'm quite disappointed and underwhelmed. It's not gourmand, like someone said. It's totally floral, fruity... I'm not interested in that. It's cloying and sharp. I want a salty caramel dessert, damn it!

There is some resemblance to Cheirosa, I'm not going to lie, but it's insignificant and doesn't make up for the sickly sharpness.

DianaM05

Hi! I really need your help, I really need to find out how much the new Viva la Juicy gold couture bottle weighs. No one can answer me this question:( Thank you in advance for the answer.

anraneiro82

I think this smells exactly like the original. The original used to be my favorite but I don’t know I guess my body chemistry changed and I don’t like it on myself anymore. I can see why others love it though.

jsmn

I love almost all of the viva la juicy line. This is a slightly less fruity version of the original. I always get compliments when I wear this. It smells great on my skin as well which is so important to me! Safe found but for sure if you like youthful scents.

aflakes

I used to wear the original Viva la Juicy back in high school, so the DNA brings back a ton of memories! While gold couture is not the typical scent profile I would go for these days, I still like this. I'm not the biggest fan of the opening because it reminds me of the original, which is pretty juvenile. However, I really enjoy the drydown. I just bought it and the first day I tried it on, I had already received a compliment from a random man. I cannot speak to the lack of longevity because it lasted 10+ hours on me. I applied it at 6:30am for work and arrived home at 6:45pm. When I checked with my S.O., he stated that he could still smell it. I did overspray though, and when I mean overspray, I'm talking 10+ sprays! So I would say for those who really enjoy this scent, but struggle with longevity, overspray. You'll definitely have a nice scent bubble all day!

kellyitzme

Thank god this exists. I loooved the original Viva la Juicy and I wore it religiously when I was 13, but now it just feels kind of weird for me to wear it again at 26. Gold Couture feels ever so slightly more "grown up" while still maintaining that ICONIC delicious Viva la Juicy quality. Also, shoutout to TJ Maxx for having a 1oz bottle of this for $20.

Now if only I could find a similarly "grown up" version of VS Pink Warm and Cozy 😭

AinoKaroliina

In the top notes I smell sweet berries and also the caramel right away. The florals are present but subdued. I really sense the vanilla in the basenotes.

Very sweet and smooth. Nothing is harsh in here or sticks out too much. A delicious, agreeable blend.

Not too juvenile. Easy-reach. For spring, fall and winter. Really cute bottle too.

nadjooece

nauseating but long lasting. good addition to my gourmand collection!! a little juvenile-scent profile but i’d smash for a long day

tatiana1190

I really like this perfume and got it for super cheap at TJ Maxx for $15 for 30ml. The longevity for me is not great and caps at about 4 hours even on clothes for me. Sillage is more than a skin scent but only barely. However for the price, and considering it doesn’t smell cheap and is actually a great and accessible scent, I would highly recommend. The scent profile of this is mostly vanilla and caramel for me but it’s not too sweet or cloying like other sweet scents can be. I think the berries and florals help balance the sweetness to make this a versatile scent. A previous review said this smells like Paris Hilton’s can-can and I did not get that vibe at all. Can-Can was much more sugary sweet-pink sugar vibe to me. This is more of a sparkly, sweet but warm, slightly floral/fruity fragrance. I would really love this if it was a long lasting fragrance but because it’s not and disappears within a few hours it’s more of a 6.5/10.

cutiepi

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I tried the OG Viva La Juicy earlier this week and while I loved it, it reminded me of Victoria's Secret, just a little too young for me. This one however is just sexier and yummy smelling. I was looking for a sweet vanilla scent for winter and this absolutely fit the mark!

fairycoffins

I’ve reviewed this before but I just had to come back to say that this has grown on me to the point that I love it more than the OG now, aaand this layers SO incredibly beautifully with By the Fireplace — caramel vanilla nutty woody sexiness with a touch of smoke. Literal heaven. 🤤

celyn_jo

This a sweet, soft, and airy scent but isn't cloying at all. The dry down is extremely nice and just makes me want to constantly smell myself. However, it doesn't last long on my skin. It usually lasts for about 2 hours before it turns into skin scent. After 4-5 hours, it completely disappears on my skin. I don't overspray (just three sprays max for this perfume), so I have no idea it'll have the same result had I sprayed more.

So yeah, if you do plan to buy this perfume and want to smell good the whole day, it's better to bring the bottle or at least a decant with you to reapply.

xeannie

rich brown sugar and caramel opening reminiscent of tapioca pearls in syrup! 🍮

literally forgot about my longing for Vanilla Lace and Cake Confetti the first time i smelled this in store. i thought i found my new signature scent because i'll never get tired of the thick sugar and caramel notes! great for date night and other smexy events.

➤ lasts 2-3 hours
➤ fair projection, minor scent trail
➤ 8/10 - girly, seductive, scent-accurate bottle design

my signature scent and one of my favorites in my collection~🤎

drrty

very sweet vanilla caramel opening! fades into a stronger caramel note the more it stays on my skin. even though i voted for winter and fall it’s kind of a refreshingly sweet and warm winter and fall scent?

like i can totally envision someone wearing this in a starbucks on a nice autumn day or walking into work in the winter morning! for these reasons i also voted it a summer scent because it’s sweet in the right way similar to sol de janeiro no.62

anyhow! 8/10 for me, i would repurchase but not consistently.

sundropflower

this runs very very sweet on me in a good way. i paired it with a vanilla lotion and i was told i smelled like dessert by multiple people, some even described me as smelling like freshly baked brownies. i got this in a rollerball and it lasts forever on me

onjelbercier

Let's be honest, we're all here because Jeremy Fragrance told us it was the best fragrance for women. It was a subjective statement, so don't be mad if it's not for you. I tried a sample and at first was off-put by the opening that smelled akin to plastic. However, it didn't take long for the notes to start making sense.

First, I don't know why this is considered a fall scent. It's very airy, almost fizzy, like root beer. A complete summer scent and nothing else to me. But I absolutely love it. It just gets better and better as it drys down. I definitely understand why it's called "Gold" there is definitely a shimmering quality to it along with that "Juicy" quality of the berries and the honeysuckle. Granted It's not the most elegant or niche investment, but I am not at all disappointed. If I were to smell this on someone else— which I'm sure that I have— I would only want to be around her any chance I got because this smells so nice. And I wouldn't tell her she smells cheap!

Viva La Juicy Gold makes me think of going on a date with my friends at the mall and walking into the candy shop. I mean, yeah, it's really giving "Justice" vibes but if you would be honest with yourself, those were the best days of your life! It smells like your childhood dream to be a fashion designer in Paris. You’re wearing a hot pink Lei and fancy, cat-eye shades as you strut down the boulevard with your pootle on a leash. I think the bottle portrays this so well.

Overall, Viva La Juicy Gold is not for someone who takes themself too seriously. It's for a woman who wants to be flirty, fancy, and a little sophisticated without coming off as a rich snob.
You won't smell cheap or chemical like you would in something from Britney Spears. You'll smell approachable and sweet

876Beauty

One of my most disappointing purchases. After having this on my mind for years because of Jeremy on YouTube, I pulled the trigger after seeing it on sale for $34. This is a juvenile and teenager like caramel vanilla fragrance with some florals present. After spraying, I instantly recognised that this smells pretty much like Carmen Electra Rrrrrrr except the Carmen Electra projects more and lasts for a longer time. I will still use the fragrance for layering with other more complex fragrances or wear it at home especially for cuddle nights but I don't see myself leaving the house with it alone.

Edit: Layer this fragrance with The Dalal fragrance oil from Al Rehab....Smells amazing together and lasts much longer!

nrobinson2152

I only got this because it was $20 for 50ml and I knew the fragrance, but it does not last. It smells amazing to me, sweet and sultry. But it disappears to my nose almost immediately. I just wish it lasted longer.

Bibi16

I really like this, it’s Prerogative by Britney with caramel instead of coffee. This is really cute and flirty. The caramel, jasmine and honey are more pronounced to me, really simple and pretty. Prerogative still remains my fave.

natasha28

Juicy Viva La Juicy Couture Gold- I love this perfume, it makes me think WOW! This freaking perfume is perfect for me!!!! It's the best balance of sweet and soft floral. I'm so happy with this! The sweetness of caramel with the softness of jasmine sambac. I like it even more than the original flanker. The sillage is lacking though as it skin close to the skin. If I could get a stronger version of this I think I would've found my daily perfume for the next 10 years lol. The price is a bit high considering the silage, but I might consider splurging once I run out of some of my other perfumes.

svucii

I got this for a steal $50 for 100ml, and i am in LOVE. To my nose its not as caramel and sweet as a lot of people are saying, it also has a bit of floral pretty vibe too it making it perfect for everyday. I would say this honestly suits every season imo. The longevity isn’t terrible, it could be better but what can u rlly expect from the price tbh. I feel so happy when i spray it I think this gonna be one of my new signature scents. Plus i adore the bottle its so cute!!

perfumaphile

So, I'm not going to lie, Jeremy Fragrance did influence me to try this perfume. He claimed it was THE sexiest perfume ever created, so I had to give it a smell test, and it's really nothing special. I've definitely smelled this before on other people, granted I didn't know what it was at the time, but now I do! It smells very commercial. Initially, I get a sort of burnt smell, almost like plastic. Then it transitions to a sweet caramel smell, and lastly, it's kind of nice on the dry down when it completely mellows out and becomes a powdery vanillic skin scent. By the way, the fact that this is supposed to have a wild berries note is a joke, because I can't smell any fruity notes (not that I mind). Smells a little too synthetic for my taste, but to each their own. :)

katyb23x

Pleasantly surprised. I bought this as a date night fragrance as I'm looking for a man magnet kinda scent. I thought it would give high school bully / stripper vibes but it's actually pretty light for a gourmand scent and *dare I say it* smells sophisticated because it isn't too loud or sugary sweet. I don't absolutely love it or anything as it isn't my usual kind of scent but it definitely fits the bill as a date night scent.

VioletScented

While I love this I don't LOVE it if that makes sense lol. I don't love it enough to have it in my collection but I can't get myself to part ways with it. It has a burnt note in it that I notice more on certain days of wearing it. I don't know if it's the temperature or my skin chemistry or what. I blind bought this a long time ago at a high price which makes me feel a little bitter. Doesn't last too long and I do get compliments when I wear it. I think I prefer Fancy for a caramel gourmand fragrance.

Alina Mir

The notes were promising , but I was surprised how weak and generic is the actual scent.
Also it doesn’t last.

kj77

Man .. if only it would last 🥲.

maymoki

I absolutely love this perfume. I wear this almost everyday during colder months. It has that feminine sweet caramel with a little bit of spice. It is super cozy for me. It doesn't have crazy projection but lasts pretty long on my skin and clothes. It is perfect for intimate nights with your special someone ladies 😏

rea.vi

such a feminine scent and i’m in love but it doesn’t last :(

amanda0727

My second Viva La Juicy fragrance. I now recognize that VLJ "DNA". The addition of the caramel, although synthetic, definitely adds sexiness to it. Just a fun playful scent, and sometimes that is just what i need. I love it. Wish it laster longer though.

OfTheValley

My most complimented scent ever.
Everybody and their mother seem to agree on this one. Sparkly, joyful, gourmand but not foody, sweet without being girly.
That glass is always more than half full, as long as gold couture wafts in the air.

Rama Rama

To my nose it's sooooo close to Paris Hilton Can Can
I really can't tell which on is better

SoleilE

I have a fairly large collection of perfume, cologne, body sprays and oils which isnt really Saying much because if I have 200-300 in my collection that is nothing in the world of fragrance. I only mention it because if I were stranded on a desert Island and could only have one perfume, I would not choose my beloved Chanel, or Coach or Carolina Herrera ... I would choose viva La Juicy Gold Couture. For me it is the perfect fragrance. Always smells good, never Something Im not in the mood for. I keep a Bottle in my purse in case I forget to grab perfume on my way out, and keep one at home and because you can find this at TJmaxx for $20. I gift it all the time and buy backups. It may not be fancy but it is my favorite fragrance. I Love it. I enjoy the original VLJ also but this is Sweeter, and in my view better. I am not good at reviewing perfumes, I just know What I like. This I love.

alice_w

It is quite similar to the original Viva la Juicy, but I like the original one more, probably because that one has soapy and floral touches on top of the caramelly note. This one is purely sweet dessert and smells too simple for me.

Stinchen

I was expecting a lot from this after reading the reviews; I know that no two people have the same body chemistry and that no perfume will smell the same on two different people - but I had hoped to get at least a bit of sweetness and prominent caramel from this. I get weak flowers and a bit of sugar, and the scent wears out after a maximum of two hours.
3/5.

stefmarie688

I absolutely adore Gold Couture. It’s sweet, but not sickeningly sweet. It’s warm and cozy, while still managing to be light. I definitely smell the fruits & some white florals in the initial spray, which is quite lovely, but then the dry down smells more like a delicious, baked vanilla dessert drizzled with caramel & honey. The sandalwood gives it a beautiful, creamy touch along with the praline. Just STUNNING. I literally buy backups whenever I see it on sale :)

Rwertz123

So so delicious! When I first smelled it I was okay with it, still a happy blind buy but then when I used it the next day my fiancé even complimented me and said it smelled good. I also got it at tj maxx for only $20!

Crocus

All I get is straight amber :(
I don’t dislike amber but I was looking forward to the sweet gourmand notes. Even after a couple hours it’s just faint amber. I guess I’ll hold onto it and see if it evolves over time.

nympholepsy

i have complex feelings on this, one one hand this is the most nostalgic fragrance i ever owned it reminds me of being one of the only little girls my age in the masjid running after the older girls bc i didnt feel like getting manhandled by the boys, they would take me with them after prayer and buy me chips & cheese at the corner store my dad never gave me any cash i would go to their houses and it smelled like spices and their caramel perfume

on the other hand it gives me the most acrid bug spray smell

all the men at my summer job last year loved it, safe to say i decluttered

Ayekar

As basic as they fragrance is it’s a male magnet. What is it with men and simple gourmand fragrances? They can’t seem to get enough of this one on a woman. All I get from this is gooey caramel. I don’t hate it but I probably wouldn’t buy it again.

JennB2022

Warm and delicious fragrance. I don’t smell floral, just vanilla, amber and sweet caramel. Definitely not a complex fragrance. Wish they would replace the pink frosting design on the bottle with something prettier. Overall, I’ve enjoyed the fragrance.

Mimithenoynoy

İt smells caremelized sweet sugar with a little berry effect in the opening. I like sweet scents in the cold weathers so such sweetness is ok for me but I would expect a better longevity and sillage for such a sweet perfume. However, its performance is weaker than I expected.

apfelix13

I don’t think this is for everyone. It’s very sweet. I don’t see pineapple on the notes but that’s what it smells on my skin. Delicious sweet pineapple. Go figure. I love it!

verzosa

The only note I pick up on myself is caramel, that's it. The positive is the caramel note doesn't smell burnt (like Candy from Prada). Not much sillage and longevity, but if you're looking for something gourmand and light then this is worth a try.

stallionmaree

when i think of the smell i think of pink and gold. it’s super warm and has the vibe of viva la juicy but much caramely ambery

Colossalscent

I am a man and i'm completely in love with this stuff, so good and sexy!

Flowerfruit

This is my favorite fragrance from the Juicy Couture house! It’s more balanced than the original Viva La Juicy and smells like a decadent, fruity dessert. It’s very youthful and fun.

SinSemilla

I just got this delivered without smelling it first, after someone online recommended it to me (I said I wanted a perfume that makes you smell like an irresistable dessert).

The first puffs had me wondering if I made a mistake, because it smelled like men's cologne to me (I don't have a lot of fragrance experience, but still...). Strong and spicy, kind of?

But then it started settling on me and I looooove it! It makes me feel like a mysterious, sexy girl no matter what I'm wearing. My boyfriend seems to agree, too. ;)

Its "sweetness" does feel a bit artificial compared to my usual taste (think candy smell vs homemade pie smell), but I enjoy it very much anyway.

MushroomMissy

Personally, I really enjoy this perfume. It is very rich, fruity, and comforting to me. If you like gourmands and flirty scents you make like this one. I'm just starting my perfume journey as a form of self care, and have really been enjoying this scent. I'm 42 and have no issue wearing "younger" scents. It's all fun and I enjoy smelling yummy.

diorgirl243

This is like viva la juicy but more grown up
Its very sweet but not overpowering
it makes me feel so confident
and i can def smell the berries note

mikajla

i don't smell ANY difference between this and original viva la juicy. also, both are IDENTICAL with Oriflame Love Potion Secrets, which is cheaper and has way better intensity and sillage. Also all three smell neutral to me. It's a sweet scent but nothing special, i feel very neutral about it, therefore won't buy again any of them.

Antientblue

CANDY SHOP WITH INCENSE STICKS. I am Flower Bomb person, Shalimar and Armani Code Satin (oh, I wish I could still buy one) person and actually bought this one out of the curiosity. I just tried it, an hour ago and still can’t really tell whether I like it or not. There is a melt of all ingredients, feels like entering the old candy shop with flowers on the table. Nothing fresh here. No berries. There is one particular note that just “blocks” you, stops you from experiencing the whole pallet, stops you from feeling tasty. Honeysuckle, my guess. Vanilla infused jasmine. Overall it draws you to constantly smell it, trying to determine the direction, but leaves you undecided. Blame it on a Monday mood 😉, but wear it on a summer evening on the beach…
P.S. un update after 3hrs… just a honeysuckle left. Disappointed ☹️

lanasmellrey

SO GOURMAND. i loveeee how i can smell every note listed but it’s still blended so beautifully. the lasting power breaks my heart because it honestly sucks. unless you can find this at tj maxx for 19.99 like i did i wouldn’t recommend purchasing a full bottle of this

Laoire

Really this is so light I can barely smell it! It literally disappeared 10mins after I gave myself 5 sprays from the bottle. Even a body spray is stronger. Lovely if only it performed better and definitely not worth the money I spent on it.

Kimyswirls

I love gourmand scents. In my quest to find the perfect gouramand that’s creamy and dessert-like, I stumbled across this (on sale). It didn’t fit my bill of the perfect gourmand. I hated it at first because it smelled differently on me than on the paper the salesperson gave out but my friend told me she could smell it on me & it smelled nice. So I bought it even without really smelling it properly on me. I layered my new perfume with a gourmand body mist & I REALLY LOVE the way I smell! I smell so nostalgic, girly, yummy, & warm! It overpowered the mist obvs but I could tell it helped the perfume last longer. I could smell myself in the air for a good number of hours before it finally faded.

If you want something sweet & warm, this is for you. The full size bottle looks pretty too.

neogio

My mother and I agree that this perfume smells like someone soaked Red Vines in creamy sugar syrup. It's a delectable, and somehow feels very girly and a little mature at the same time. It's a hyper-sugar-sweet fragrance which is not for everyone. As someone who loves gourmand perfumes that smell edible, this is not that, but I love it anyways!

Yogamomny17

I am not a fan of this one. It has no projection on my skin, it smells watered down and I get very little of the notes listed. Maybe my bottle is old or was poorly stored. I got it without the box at TJ MAX so it’s possible.

What I CAN make out is a very light jasmine and almond scent with a bit of vanilla. I get no berries or any sandalwood or other notes. It is SO LIGHT!!! I’m so disappointed.

I’m returning this because it’s just not good. I’d love to try a new boxed bottle because I do think this one may be past the expiration or just was exposed to heat or light somewhere along it’s journey to the store shelf.

_jenevieve_

Gold’s a candle. Gold’s a hooker. It’s great in the fall?
Wearing today on a spring morning Couture Gold feels somehow wrong.
Suitable for the corn maze, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice season, or standing out in the club. But only in Autumn, please.
I have about 7ml left. Gold isn’t a repurchase for me. Jimmy Choo Illicit is more sophisticated take on a similar theme. Fancy has a bit more fresh floral background, I’m wishing I’d decuttered this instead.

baddie

I was so excited to receive this as I had seen so many amazing reviews on this fragrance, unfortunately it was not at all what I expected. I couldn't even really distinguish the notes, to me it smelled quite sour and cloying. I couldn't wait to wash it off. I really wanted to love it... But unfortunately I was just not a fan... It smelled very generic to me, nothing special... And mind you I am a huge fan of gourmands. It reminded me of sweet like candy by Ariana grande which I also didn't like

xsxcstarx

My favourite caramel perfume!

This is sweet, heady & the perfect caramel note. I would say this lasts about a good 4/5 hours & doesn't project too much but a very cozy fragrance

babybels777

A better version of the OG Viva la Juicy. VLJ Gold Couture smells similar to the original but has more caramel which makes this scent even more delicious.

While the original fragrance is good for spring/summer and fall/winter, Gold Couture is better suited for fall and winter due to the extra caramel. This one also lasts a bit longer on my skin.

Adjr1087

There's not a super wow factor to this... but it does pair deliciously with Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 and 71.

princesslopez4890

Sweet but faint and shy, good for layering!

Michael Couture

Cozy, sweet beauty. It has the same dna as original Viva La Juicy but with some touch of "Fancy" by Jessica Simpson. On my skin it's beautiful cozy caramel. Unfortunately it doesn't last long. Maybe 2/3 hours.

xowiktoria

Oop. Mostly floral, at least on my skin. Not what I imagined after looking at the note list. To me it's a slightly sweet, light jasmine (and white flowers in general), with a hint of vanilla and caramel. It's comforting, it's sexy, it's warm. But it's repeatable. Something that was done a million times already. I'm a bit dissapointed by the weakness of the caramel note.
My immediate thought was to layer it with Cheirosa 62 by Sol de Janeiro for the caramel to really kick in like it should with this perfume from the beginning. Other than that - pleasant, easy reach, probably for a younger woman.

I feel like a hoarder for not wanting to give up on this scent despite it being so mediocre. But it lightens up my mood so effortlessly. It makes me feel good. Isn't it the ultimate purpose of prefumes after all?

jazzscent13

Literally just got this for lawyering purposes only for whenever I want to add a Carmel touch to my scents.

It’s not that great as a stand alone fragrance (performance wise). But nonetheless; I think it’s a cute scent, and a fun easy reach for a younger crowd. I think this would be an amazing first perfume for girls ages: 15-20 🌸❤️.

aeanian

Oh my, I hate this one.. I watched tone of reviews about it and as a lover for gourmand fragrances I thought I will love this caramelly, sweet perfume. I expected something sweet, eatable, yummy.. The bottle I hated before even seeing - so ugly and tacky (for my taste). Anyway, so.. I got 100 ml bottle and I was SO highly disgusted, I got a headache but not because of how sweet it is, but it's literally white floral on me with a bit of vanilla. I sense no caramel whatsoever. It's not even as strong as I expected. It is not even gourmand, it smell like dirty sweat, mixed with vanilla and white flowers. I don't like jasmine and this is mostly what I smell I assume. Can't even tell, but that is maybe one of the worst perfumes I ever had, I will get rid of it immediately. Oh and of course, I smell NO BERRIES at all, it's not a fruity smell, it's icky smelling..
Presentation for me is zero - the ugliest bottle, cheap looking, cheap feel. The cap is a bit on the side, is not even put straight. This big fake crystal is just a cheap plastic. The bow is ridiculous, but I was ready to get pass those things if the juice was any good but it's not! Don't believe Jeremy's choice for this one, is not yummy smelling at all. You will like it only if you enjoy white flowers mixed with dirty vanilla (it does not smell like a tasty, fresh vanilla). I never hated a fragrance so much so fast.. Yuk. I DO NOT recommend.
In the past I had BonBon by Victor & Rolf, and I returned it because It was nothing special. But at least the bottle was nice. And this one is WORSE, way worse than bonbon. But overall I dislike both.

Peaches&Cream

A sweet caramel and vanilla scent with a touch of wild berries . It reminds me a bit like juicy couture Noir because of the wild berry scent that lingers.

emmacallaghan5

This is horrible and I'm annoyed that people are hyping this as gourmand.
I was expecting a sweet caramel scent but it is just a nauseating weird warm floral scent. It smells strangely synthetic and cheap and was extremely headache inducing. All I smell are the floral scents (but not nice florals) and absolutely no sweetness.... Also no berries.

toeveh

One of my absolute worst blind buy that I own. I’ve had it for months and not reached for it once. I expected a creamy berry caramel scent but it smells nothing like it. I’m wondering if I got a bad batch or if they reformulated it because I actually will not wear this willingly again. I don’t get any caramel at all, it’s more of a syntethic fresh scent that doesn’t resemble berries either. It has a sour tang to it and it’s not a good thing. I actually have a hard time picking up any notes in this one, it’s a bit sweet and warm but mainly it just smells wrong. Will be giving it away.

AlliCat1215

I don’t detect much difference from original VLJ (which is good bc it’s one of my favorite smells ever). In fact, VLJ may be my favorite scent ever, based purely on scent alone. However, it loses points for being too weak and not lasting well.

East River Pearl

What it lacks in sophistication it makes up for in deliciousness. Tart berries drenched in caramel. The slightest hint of florals. Ultra feminine. Youthful but not junior to my nose. A bit more alcoholic than it should be until the dry down. Not powdery at all. The bottle looks appalling but I'll be honest I adore this scent. Projection and longevity isn't terrible on clothes though much more minimal on the skin. A guilty pleasure of a fragrance.

The closest comparisons: for the floral elements, Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia (which is much more powdery than Gold Couture and lacks the tartness), for the tartness, Burberry Brit for Her (which lacks the caramel gourmand qualities of Gold Couture) for the caramel, maybe Sol de Janeiro Sol Cheirosa 62? Though that's a less close match than the others (and it lacks both the florals and the berry tartness of Gold Couture).

stephanienwc

I tried this because of Jeremy Fragrance. It smells really juvenile and cheap to me even though there's nothing I hate about it. A bit more on the fruity side.

Wiktoriaaaz

This is in the same realm as the smell of bum bum cream. Just less rich. The honeysuckle lifts this from becoming a creamy indulgent scent which I wish it did get taken there, but regardless, it’s caramel, honeysuckle, Jasmin, vanilla. In that order for me. I’ve also ordered the noir so I’ll see how that one is, as I’m only planning on keeping one of the 2.

Ps. Definitely reminiscent of the original. UPDATE. I’m keeping this one over noir, noir is super similar just a fruity touch that gives me too much of a vs body spray vibe. This is still yummy without being too sweet. Just layered with bum bum cream to bed and boy I wish I was my partner, let’s just say that lol.

jjluvsm9

Caramel and honeysuckle is what I get from this, with some creamy sandalwood. No berries on me. At first spray it’s a chemical synthetic burst (yuck) but it quickly changes minutes later to become a lot more palatable. Dry down reminds me of other caramel heavy scents like Prada Candy and V&R Bon Bon but less powdery than Candy and not fruity like Bon Bon. It’s not a rich caramel like Candy either, it’s somehow a little fresher due to the florals. Stays true to the VLJ OG DNA but the prominent caramel makes it much nicer, I really dislike the OG. It’s not actually as sweet as I expected, since the sillage is so soft that it doesn’t feel cloying. I kinda like it. Don’t love it. Wouldn’t buy it again. Got this bottle for half the retail price so will use it up happily for casual occasions. Mind you, my boyfriend loves this one. Seems to be catnip for men.

Edit: appalling longevity. One hour and it’s entirely gone.

My rating: 7/10
Bf rating: 8.7/10

ReinaDeMiel

I got no berry top note with this, it pretty much went straight to the Jasmine & Honeysuckle. Surprisingly, the dry-down on this is more of a rather musky caramel with a hint of sandalwood than straight caramel. The dry-down comes off as unusually linear and boring compared to Juicy's other, more complex fragrances. It's okay but definitely not worth the price point.

pinkkk

girls i will be honest...GET THIS FRAGRANCE IF YOU WANT YOUR BACK TO BE BROKEN...men go crazy for this one. in a way its super simple, generic, easy grab, not much depth...but it is a sexy sugar bomb. very very veryyyy feminine and submissive. your man will want to obliterate your insides, so use with caution.

Katelynl88

Mmmmmmm! This smells very very good! I get the original jc dna throughout the whole first spray to dry down but this is so nice , it’s sweet and I get the caramel , also picking up on the honeysuckle the very first spray is the teeniest bit reminiscent of the Brazilian bum b cream but just a little . This is an instant love and I will for sure but a full size. It also reminds me of bath and body works sunrise woods .

perfumism

a very sweet fragrance and if you like sweet things, you will certainly like this. It has caramel and vanilla which gives it that warmth that makes it a good fragrance to wear when the weather is getting colder. This is my "winter fragrance" because it just reminds me of sweets on the holidays. It is a polarizing scent so if you are unsure, definitely try it in stores and walk around to see if you like the smell. It radiates off of you and if it had a voice, it screams because everyone you walk by will be able to smell this perfume even with the smallest amount which can be a good or bad things depending on your needs. I would smell this on myself even after a few hours.
Like I said, this is a polarizing scent so I sometimes find myself bouncing from really liking this to meh.
I can see teenagers really liking this scent and it might even be their signature.

If anyone wants to try this, I would rec you get the gift set that ulta comes out with during the holidays because they give you a 1.0 fl oz with a body lotion. It also goes on sale right after the holidays which is a win :)

perfume_angel

This is a sweet, caramelly, and slightly fruity fragrance 🍮🍬

Is it ground breaking? No. But it still is very playful and delicious. I know this got alot of hype for being a sexy fragrance, but in my opinion this is more girly/flirty and just overall a fun and easy fragrance to wear.

I do agree that this is a man magnet, and just like most juicy couture fragrances men seem to love this one too😂

neperia

i love this, not too sweet which is something i love. i layer it with vs bare vanilla and i loooove it, girls at school always ask me what perfume im wearing. -finished my bottle, i am dead inside-

blair2720

It's mature Viva la Juicy. It's nice and a crowd pleaser, but I'm not in love with it. I can't see someone hating it though. It was a blind buy for me and I wore it everyday for months, and it never changed/grew on me. Just stays the same. I can't smell it on myself after an hour.

iammelody

I´m on a layering kick lately and at the same time, I´m rediscovering scents that I´ve kept around and neglected for years. I remember owning JS Fancy some years back and Gold is similar minus the powdery/floral aspects of it. This is more of a lighthearted, sweet and almost savory perfume that layers really well with other bakery type gourmands. I´m currently wearing this over BBW Christmas Cookies and it´s delicious! Juicy Gold also pairs surprisingly well with BBW´s Snowflakes and Cashmere.
It has the Viva La Juicy dna but much deeper, and the caramel is amped up.

lukris

I really love the scent, but it is very weak. If compared with the original Viva La Juicy, this seems to be a lot milder. I love the scent, just wish it would project better.

Nanook2020

This perfume is like a dark, mysterious, enchanted forest at night. I dont know why but this fragrance is a Halloween scent to me. Reminds me of a young girl who secretly passes the forest in the middle of Halloween night and in her bag there are a lot of sweets.

Misia Cloudy Lamb

Jeremy Fragrance, explain yourself now!!!

I ve been so curious to smell this one… I also expected it to mimic Werther’s Original candy due to the bottle design. It’s tacky of course, but it’s just viva la juicy vibe and Juicy Couture vibe in general. However the effect of golden candy foil is done very well, so sugestive.. for nothing. I am not able to detect ANY caramel. It’s literally just like quiet echo of viva la juicy DNA. Meh.

ca$hm3re

This is so good😋

Mouth watering almost. It is just sweet and edible and delicious and addictive. I haven’t smelt the original or the other flankers, but I’m not sure how they could top this (although the Noir version interests me). I feel like it would smell even better in on hot, warm skin. It’s just so sexy and fun and girly. Love this fragrance SO MUCH.

nellyrlight

This was another miss for me. Nothing beats the original JC. I constantly try and get whatever new scent they add to their line, but my skin constantly says No, these aren't for you, stick with the original. Enjoy it if it works for you!

Finka227

Blind bought this one through a YouTuber who kept calling it sexy! I think it’s a very sweet playful perfume smells almost like makeup 💄
A bit synthetic though. Very 20s/teen vibes to it, not a serious date perfume. But good when paired with other deeper fragrances.

Maria19

Many associate this scent with high school etc. Since I live in Finland, Juicy Couture has come here quite late. So the youth has not been able to wear these fragrances. I can only say my opinion as a grown woman. Gold Couture is a semi-sweet fragrance. It doesn't last long on my skin, but with a couple of more sprays, it stays on better. Juicy's DNA with a sweeter twist. It is more suitable for an adult than for a youth.

DocRach2025

It’s viva la juicy with a touch of caramel. If you own viva la juicy and layer it with a caramel body spray, you don’t need this.

realitygreene

Out of all of the caramel scents I have tried, Gold Couture is my least favorite. It's honestly the least refined. Cacharel Yes I Am is my favorite with it's buttery caramel scent. Viktor & Rolf Bon Bon would be my second favorite, the caramel is super sweet and smooth with a bit of an orange scent to it. Then, I would rank the original Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture although I honestly think the caramel is not as noticeable to my nose in that scent as the others.

I really want to love Gold Couture because it has many notes I really enjoy. The vague "wild berries", amber, jasmine, caramel, sandalwood, etc. But this scent reads kind of synthetic to me. It's sweet and kind of pleasant but not very sophisticated. I bought a 1 oz bottle at TJ Maxx for very cheap, I think $20, and hopefully I'll get use out of it, but it's definitely not a lifer in my collection. I want to get Yes I Am and Bon Bon because they are both fantastic caramel scents.

desturner866

Got this at Marshall's for $22. It opens with a sweet berry note. Dries down to a warm caramel scent with some white floral influence similar to the original Viva La Juicy DNA. Gets more vanillic and almost a little salty the longer I wear. Performance is pretty poor on skin, but I've had better luck on clothing. I do find it to be quite sexy in the sense that it's a very warm, soft, and intimate fragrance. The idea that someone would need to be close to you to smell it is what makes it sexy. I enjoy it.

Suzabelle6

I really love this scent...I'm getting ripe berries and caramel but I literally have to press my nose up against my wrist to smell it. There's barely any presence on my skin- which is a shame because this would be a go-to for me if it did. Juicy...please make an intense version of Gold Couture!

Belle_143

This is such a lovely delicious intimate scent. Such an everyday go to if you want to smell pretty and sweet!

alessandraj18

If this lasted longer it would be my favorite perfume, but the performance is so poor. I have to later with Christmas Cookies from Bath and Body Works to get it to last longer

SheRays

Not sure what all the hype is about but this one was returned immediately. Overpriced, too sweet with no complexity and poor performance.

BougieGirlShops

I've never smelled OG VLJ (yeah, seriously!) but I like this very much! I got this and VLJ Noir, of the two I prefer this one much more. It's sweet, vanilla, caramel, with just enough berries to brighten the scent. To me it's like Prada candy minus the burnt caramel and added berries.

Dramaloladiva

Oh my goooosh!!!!
I don’t care that it is a cheapie, I don’t care that I bought it at Sam’s Club for $49 for a 100 ml bottle, I don’t care if people think I smell cheap and/or vulgar, I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Let me repeat: I L O V E I Tヾ(๑╹◡╹)ノ"

And nothing can change my mind about this fruity/caramel-y goodness of a scent!!

I was at Sam’s yesterday and they had Gold Couture and other Viva La Juicy scents among others (probably as gift ideas for the Holidays) and I tried a sample of Gold Couture and yeah…I was hooked immediately!!
The sweetness and the fruity-ness along with the caramel are an absolute pleasure to smell. And it stayed on my skin for the next 12+ hours!!!! So I grabbed two bottles because:
a. It’s cheap

b. Why not have a back up of a perfume you’ve fallen in love head over heels with???

I have a pretty big collection and I also have a lot of niche/more elevated scents in said collection but that doesn’t mean I can’t love cheaper scents. Viva La Juicy Gold Couture is lovely and I am going to rock it this Fall/Winter✨✨✨

FeeBeeTee

@Hannehoney - you can find this at Marshall's and TJMaxx, but if someone gets this for you for Christmas, that's even better, lol!

Majah90

Creamy and warm caramel scent❤️🔥 I love wearing this in the fall/winter season, both day and night. Its sweet and sensual.

chicagogirl

Juicy Couture really needs to cut Jeremy Fragrance a check because he's the only reason this one has survived the VLJ Flanker chopping block!! This would've been gone long ago like the millions of other VLJ flankers if it wasn't for him lol.

Hannehoney

I want this for Christmas! I had it years ago and used up the bottle, now I want it back in my collection :) in my opinion its one of the best caramel scents. Its sweet and warm, and the lastingpower is good too :) Forever a favorite.

Projections

You know how when u spray some perfume under your shirt it really works with your odor and makes it seem like there is no perfume just your natural awesome smell. Well this perfume is definitely not it. When u spray under your shirt it stinks. On wrists shirt and neck it's great but I like to spray under my shirt cuz the heat takes it to a whole other level usually.

When it's good it smells slightly like caramel mixed with a dry vanilla.

Lanascola

Such an edible smelling perfume which is great for gourmand sweet perfume lovers. However on my skin it lasts not even 30 minutes, same goes for all the viva la juicy fragrances i've tried, THEY DON'T LAST!
Despite this i think this perfume is worth a try since all perfumes react differently with body chemistry. It's also a pretty decent price.

Lj123fragrantica

This is one of my favorite perfumes ever. It's sweet and suitable to wear at work, to parties, anywhere. When I first bought it I wished it was a bit sweeter, but now I love it just as it is. It has a fresh and tropical vibe to it that blends very well with the sweetness. Yummy :)

jaejaejae

blind bought this at marshall's. to me, it smells strongly of caramel and vanilla. i definitely get the berries in the opening. i don't get too much of the florals, which i don't particularly mind. think berries with creme brulee. this scent does very well in the colder weather. i was standing outside in 55 degree Fahrenheit weather and the occasional whiff of this made me feel a little warmer. definitely do NOT overspray though as this can be a bit headache inducing, especially if you're sensitive to sweeter scents. this isn't a complex scent by any means but i enjoy it quite a bit, considering that i tend to gravitate towards fresher scents. it lasts around 6-8 hours on my skin with moderate projection. an easy fall/winter scent and would also work as a date night scent in my opinion! this one can be found in discount stores so be sure to check!

Lola18

I really wanted to like this one, but this honestly just smells cheap (to me at least). The first time I sprayed this, all I could smell was a very synthetic, sugary, nauseating scent. Kind of like a strong body mist a teenager would wear. I own several gourmand fragrances (affordable and expensive) and let me tell you, there are so many affordable fragrances out there that smell better than gold couture. I really don't think this is worth the hype at all.

However, I must say I've never had a fragrance that lasted so long on my clothes. I could literally smell this fragrance on my sweater 3 days after I sprayed it on. So I guess the longevity is amazing, but the scent itself is just not worth it.

Princessy

As someone stated it before, it is the perfect mix between Jessica Simpson Fancy (40%) and Ari by Ariana Grande (60%).

On my skin it doesn't last long, and it is more like a skin scent. However, I use it as a layering scent to sweeten other fragrances.

fragrancebaddie99

This was a $20 blind buy and I am SO GLAD I picked it up. I have the original Viva La Juicy and was not a fan of it, but somehow was still optimistic about this fragrance. This scent is so pretty. It smells nothing like the original. I love to layer it with my vanilla lotion. I feel like this will be my new signature scent! I genuinely love it. Perfect for fall.

ilovejeremyfragrance

VLJ gold couture is the it girl. the caramel is the star of the show. it's warm, comforting, and pairs well with the jasmine. it's not a powdery gourmand, which is great. the lasting power on my skin is... almost non-existent. the sillage is barely there. still one of my favs though - makes me wanna get devoured.

notmariela

I really wanted to love this because of all the hype it’s been getting… I don’t know if it’s my skin or if I just got a bad bottle, but I can’t stand this. I usually love gourmands, everything sweet, sugary and vanilla-y, but this just smells cheap, synthetic, overly sweet and like a worse version of Cheriosa '62 to me. Besides that, it doesn’t last at all on me. :(

likesleet

liked this more than the original. had a distinct caramel smell that separated from the white florals and generic berry notes. no projection though which surprised me.

Jonathanelsher3

This is a sophisticated and complex smell. This juice is fantastic. It makes me cheerful, lively, girlie, and enjoyable. Juicy Gold shines brightly and lasts a long time. smell's darn good, and has a strong caramel smell with a hint of vanilla. Also a bit of berries with a slight lemon mixed in. It's definitely on the warm and cozy side, yet there's something cheerful and peppy about it, cheeky and traditional. Stunning!

malikun

Honorine Blanc created some of my favorite perfumes like Lancome Tresor A La Folie or Valentino Voce Viva but Gold Couture is not my cup of tea. It is too synthetic while being too sweet and that is the reason I pass on some popular Kilian perfumes too. GC smells like bathroom freshener with caramel on my skin. I asked my husband and his comment was also not the most pleasant, so I will pass. If you also very picky about sweet scents, be careful with this one.

cynthiad623

Nice Fall perfume.

XOXO_marcel

This is an absolute caramel bomb! It reminds me of Werther's caramels, which incidentally are one of my favorite candies. Although this is marketed to a young crowd, I think a woman of any age could pull it off. It smells a bit more refined / sophisticated / expensive than what I've come to expect from Juicy, and yet it still has the playful air the brand is known for. My fiance enjoys this one.

emfzr

the notes same with far away rebel from avon, so they smell same for me,

this fragrance smells not too sweet, fruity and floral
just nice but i like far away rebel from avon more because it is affordable and long lasting

laukin911

Can appreciate this perfume but the wild berries make this way to blaaaah for me. I wish there was a little something more wether that be more balsamic or smooth. It's just soooooo boring. It is a beautiful easy throw on scent though.

kissabelle

I'll start off saying I love most if not all the viva la juicy perfumes. I also did not know this was hyped up so much by Jeremy Fragrances. So glad I was not influenced by youtube to buy this. This is an interesting caramel perfume - so strong on the caramel note. So sweet and intoxicating. Also this is by the same perfumer who made viva la juicy bowdacious flanker - Honorine Blanc. (She also made Black Opium)

I got a really fresh bottle and it's less than a year old since it's made when I opened it. The notes of the viva la juicy fruit/floral/caramel all came through slowly by layers. I am really pleased with it, not linear at all. The base notes blended nicely - caramel, vanilla, amber, sandalwood. Dry down is some toasted warm caramel scent. Like I said earlier - the scent is quite intoxicating.

However I did have a different experience with the tester. I smelled this at the local sephora store. The tester where the cap had been removed(probably due to people dropping the perfume by holding the cap) and it's just placed under the bright lights instore, atomizer is spoilt and the perfume comes out in a squirt. So I assume it's not exactly a very fresh bottle. I sprayed it on my arm to get a feel of how it performs on my skin, but I straight up get a strong sweet caramel note from this. No fruit, floral layers like the usual juicy DNA.

I guess when a bottle of perfume isn't fresh, it's the dominant base note that remains and smells totally linear for the tester. You lose the integrity of the perfume, lose those beautiful layers and immediately get the dry down sugary sweet caramel which is the strongest note here (no warm toasty amber, vanilla or sandalwood).

Longevity is indeed not as great (2-3 hrs) but this outperforms the original viva la juicy. This is wayyyyy sweeter but also could be offensive as there is reasonable projection and sillage during the 2-3hrs.

Hypnotic Flower

I don't care about what people say, this is fking sexy and boys go wild over this. It's literally catnip for men.

Marionym

I blind bought this and am pretty disappointed. All I smell is a teenage boys axe shower gel. It does not smell feminine or sexy to me. Just sweet and cheap.

cunt.dracula

Caramel and berries. That's it lol the caramel is very prominent in this one with the berries following after. This scent would easily be one of my favs, however its lasting power is so pitiful. The scent disappears within an hour or two. Why are brands allowed to make perfumes like this?? Might as well get a body spray/mist instead of spending more on perfumes that don't last.

fairyshiro

a perfect mix of gourmand and powdery notes. the caramel-vanilla scent with the underlying jasmine and sandalwood are heaven made. the honeysuckle also plays its role in giving the perfume a sweet floral essence. i absolutely love this.

lolarosebloom

this is my first fragrance i have ever had. i was gifted this for my 16th birthday, and it started my obsession with perfumery. this was my signature scent in high school, everyone always knew i was near because it was strong and sweet. very caramel forward. i sometimes smell this for comfort. its so sweet and even if you aren't a gourmand lover, you will find something endearing and dare i say slightly sexy (???) about this fragrance. i recommend this to anyone who is new to fragrance and loves to smell sweet. can be worn anytime and is just so lush ☺️

V.Norway92

By first sniff: Couldn’t get the hype. Sprayed it on, and was pleasantly surprised when it dried down.

Caramelly-vanilla. On me it actually smells like a milder version of YSL Libre Intense.
A fun and young perfume.

broskinski

this scent just reminds me of materialistic rich aunties where im from... 🤭 would maybe try not to wear it in the mornings..... maybe the vibe is a little too strong for my 8am job.

likesleet

very sweet, bordering artificial. bad jasmine mixed with caramel.

townej

I honestly don't get the hype! Just meh and very artificial smelling!

Kingb413

Smells like 1 million i am a man and this is a great 1 spray when you are going to be hugging up on women this is reactive to men's sweat idk but it has worked for me more than once this shit is strong as hell

stinky_inky

It's smells as if Aquolina Pink Sugar was given a mild sedative. Same cupcake bakery candy note, but a tiny bit more wearable.

Sanasweetperfumer

just bought this one it smells so so good omg like a sudective sweet but not too sweet scent , very very feminine and 2014 vibes for sure but still a perfect scent for me one of my favorites rn its just too good I can't stop smelling it

Tara Fiouzi

Sexy and very sweet, smells young, flirty and careless... my boyfriend got this for me for my birthday, he told me that he tested many different perfumes in the store to find something that he likes and he preferred this over all of the other perfumes he tested. The sillage is really good and I love the prominent caramel in this perfume.

melusina1982

It is not my usual choice of fragrance, but I love clean and soft and crave caramel from time to time, in that sense this one delivers. Performance is poor so if you are looking for strong caramel better look elsewhere. If you are looking for a demure just showered dark berry dessert this could be a good bet.
ETA: The performance gets a lot better the longer the bottle is open. I get 8 hours on skin now.

Kitcaliguluhhh

I love this perfume. Berry caramel vanilla. It’s very dessert-like for me, delicious. But it doesn’t smell like a “lady” it smells unrefined entirely, I typically prefer powdery notes with sweet gourmand fragrances because it adds “value” to the fragrance. I would NOT pay full price for this, but I grabbed a 1 oz one from TJ Maxx for $19.99 that was made earlier this year! So I’m happy about that. If you want it, go buy it discounted it’s GREAT for the discounted price. If I had to price this myself I would say it’s worth $24-26, like the price of Ariana Grande fragrances at Walmart. Not worth $60+.

Rutla

Sweet and fun, long lasting and super feminine. Kind of smells like a high school mean girl but that's fine lol. I also like the original but it doesn't last more than an hour on me. I really need to go get another bottle of this.

typeonegative333

Yeah, it's not bad, I only bought it cause of Jeremy Fragrance and I'm not impressed really, just your average sweet fragrance, like sugar water and alcohol. It's very basic which makes it sort of unappealing and there are no prominent notes, nothing about this stands out. Another boring perfume from Juicy Couture.

geelightning

idk if i got a bad bottle but this is really not how i imagined it would smell like after all the raves I've seen online for this perfume.

and this most definitely does not smell like fancy by Jessica Simpson. that one smells more powdery. i honestly have a hard time smelling the notes on this

CatOwned

This one is warm caramel heaven. It smells distinctly different from JS Fancy. There are similarities though.

Juicy Couture Gold smells warmer than Fancy and has more kick to it, and Fancy is just sweeter to me with no kick.

FreeBeing

This is yummy. It's sweeter, richer-smelling, and much more gourmand that the regular version (which I also like). I get a lot of sweet caramel and amber from this with a LOT of vanilla when it has worn in for about an hour. Perfumes tend not to last on me but this one is a "forever fragrance" - as in it's still stronger than a skin scent over 12 or 13 hours. This is also chameleon-like. It's sweet yet sexy, youthful but not too young; etc. For a while, I never wore it during the day - just for special evenings or formal events. I realized that it's also nice for daytime wear.

Tessbes

I cant believe people say this is a compliment getter. I like it but I CANT smell it on myself :( And I don't like that. Even if I overspray, I don't smell anything the next hour or so

loveleen

Very heavy on the caramel with the original juicy DNA. I did enjoy this one, but not enough to keep the full bottle. It also doesn't last very long on me. I will say that it is a compliment getter so there's that.

jmoonx3

I bought this because when I sprayed it on the tester strip in store, it dried down to this yummy warm & cozy caramel berry scent and I couldn't stop smelling it. But when I spray it on myself, it's almost all white florals and comes across almost like hairspray. I've still gotten compliments on it, and I do still like it but I was slightly disappointed.

AkaNeri

Very warm, sweet, caramelly fragrance. Right after the first spritz I can smell very-very ripe berries with caramel, in 15 - 20 min berries are not very prominent anymore and caramel is the star of the show.
Overall - 8/10.

fformoso88

Ok so I reviewed this a while back where I just said it’s meh… like most people on here probably I bought it because of Jeremy Fragrance -_- embarrassed to say it lol. Anyways… this fragrance has *kind of* grown on me now… mildly. I do like it now … however… and this is a BIG however!!! The longevity is abysmal :( like really really bad! Lol seriously I think this barely lasts like an hour on me I feel like I could spray the whole bottle and still feel nothing… like I sprayed myself with this A Lot today... I got a purse spray size of it to keep reapplying. The scent is nice but for the price the longevity is not worth it. You’d probably get a better bang for your buck out of a body spray from Sol De Janeiro or VS …honestly. I’m going to keep it and use it up as a gym scent or layered with other scents.

lovelore

i recently bought a rollerball of gold couture and it’s disappointing to say the least. i had previously tested it in store after having owned jessica simpson fancy for a few months, and i definitely noticed the similarities but GC had more fruitiness and a depth that fancy didn’t have, so i felt they were different enough to own both. i already noticed the longevity was not the best, and reading reviews about the poor longevity i didn’t want to buy a full bottle just yet so i just bought the rollerball. after doing a few wear tests, i do have to agree; the longevity and silage are not up to par. GC lasts about 1hr30, sitting very close to the skin after 30 minutes. i really recommend fancy as an alternative to GC for both the performance and the price. there are differences in the opening and mid. GC is tarter, fruitier, and deeper, whereas fancy is sweeter, more floral, and brighter. in the dry down, the effect is fairly similar with the caramel sweetness but i slightly prefer fancy. overall, fancy is more girly where GC is a bit sexier but with its poor performance and the fact that it costs double what fancy does it just doesn’t make sense for me to own full bottles of both.

also, the review under mine is pretty accurate on the cheirosa ‘62 side (i haven’t tested ari). the caramel notes in ‘62 and GC are very similar. ‘62 is another decent alternative with pretty good longevity and sillage for a body mist.

Ella_22

If Ariana Grande's Ari and Cheirosa '62 had a baby, it would be this.

claudiasweet

Finally arrived, I was super excited to smell it because there are so many great reviews about it, I thought is will smell great, like a dessert, but all what I got is the memory of my mom's Deo Impulse, about 30 years ago. It was a red Deo Spray, with a sexy woman over it🙂
I don t get any caramel or vanilla. I can t say exactly what is it, but it s surely no dessert smell. It also reminds me of Ari.

Brebre1213

Smells great like brown sugar. It's sweet and very seductive. If you like caress shea butter and brown sugar body wash. This would pair with it so well. Definitely better in the fall winter or on a cool night

BlackLace

It's like sweet juicy caramel with vanilla, berries, and a wee bit of amber and wood. It's almost like a caramel soda or something, just liquid candy. I adore this fragrance so much. It's very feminine and the sex appeal is high, that's not to say it doesn't get a lot of flack, but there's a trend of more feminine men and masculine, strong, bold women disliking this one. If you're a feminine chick looking for a more masculine guy this could be a safe bet, but these are all just generalizations.

The longevity could be better, but by no means is it bad. Much stronger and longer lasting than the original Viva La Juicy. It lasts maybe 6-7 hours. The bottle is beautiful from the caramel gold shine to the black lacy bow, although I do feel they design their bottles to make it seem like you're getting more than 100ML.

Breezyyybeezyyy

Truly a year round fragrance, I actually am enjoying it most n the late spring early summer right now. It pairs well with the Cheirosa 62, also pairing with the Egyptian Goddess perfume oil from auric blends makes this super strong and long lasting. I adore this perfume, I'm 27 this reminds me of being in high school in 2009-2013 but not in the throwback way more in the sexier 2.0 kind of way. As one person said this is something the office baddie in her earlier to mid 20s could be wearing, but also it's mature enough that a woman in her 30s or 40s would feel good wearing this to feel hot on a night out. This isn't a strong perfume, it does linger close. I would say on skin it stays strong 2-3 hours and is fading out 4-5 and I reallllllly need to get close to smell by the 6th hour. But with that said, it lasts well on clothes and paired with a good lotion or perfume oil I would say this makes its own beautiful statement. It layers well also, but honestly I think I took perfume for granted when I was layering it with stronger perfumes like Black Opium or Prada Candy Nights. It truly stands beautiful on its own. It's probably my most complimented perfume along with Bon Bon. Man Killer for sure, even when I can't smell it on myself my one coworker will let me know he knows I'm wearing this LOL he calls it my "come get me perfume" lmfao he liked it so much he bought it for his Fiance. So that pretty much sums up this creamy warm (yet fresh and luminating) perfume Vanilla Melted Ice cream with berries and and caramel sauce with some nuts on top outside on a 75 degree night as the sun goes down, thats this perfume. I can't see how anyone can hate it, Jeremy was the man who hyped this and I definitely think he was right. 10/10 just wish it was less work to make it strong.

boolprop

I bought a sample in my search for the perfect salted caramel. I think this is a really, really nice perfume, but I'm having a hard time wearing it.

It's more similar to the original VLJ than I was hoping for. In other words, it's quite fruity and feels very sharp to me. The juicy fruit honestly adds a lovely brightness to it, and it IS toned down and softer than VLJ in my opinion. But it does come off more perfumey than I personally like.

I feel confident this would grab a ton of compliments and I think you could wear this for your entire life and find it 'appropriate' at any age (not that it matters, just trying to paint a picture). A tiny amount lasted on my wrist a solid 4 hours. This is a rare perfume that I feel fits day, night, and literally season.

The caramel in this *is* yummy, but unfortunately I get a headache wearing it. I like it, but definitely not the 'love' I was looking for. Won't be purchasing a full size.

EDIT: I've gone back to try it a few more times and yeah, I can't. It's just so screechy.

PatienceValley

The perfect perfume (at least for me). This takes my #1 spot now instead of REM by Ariana Grande. They have a similar feel but are a bit different. They both have a salty (in a good way, I dont like sea salt type of smell in fragrance) caramel note but this one also is a bit fruity. It smells warm and comforting like REM does but the berries lighten it up. IMO this has depth without being mature or too immature either. This is too addictive to me. It lasts all day for me and has good projection but isnt too much at all. Didnt even know this fragrance was hyped up, I just saw a JC fragrance stand in sephora and tried them all and this one was so good I sprayed it on myself and could smell it for the rest of the day and night and had to go back and buy it.

Alu894

I saw all the hype on YouTube (not actually from Jeremy though) and tested it one time before buying it. I’ve never had the original Viva La Juicy. This smells like caramel plus lots and lots of soapy jasmine and honeysuckle on me. It doesn’t actually turn that sweet till close to the time it disappears on me. Really good date night scent. Just wished it lasted longer than 5 hours, but I don’t mind topping up because I like the feeling applying perfume anyways.

Scarlamira

I really like this, smells sexy and sweet and smells great with BBW Sensual Amber lotion and original Caress body wash. Whoo! I got my bottle for 14 bucks, 30ml can’t complain.

Lillianroseanne

Alright so I just got this fragrance so I can't say much on lasting power yet, and it foes sit close to the skin for me. But one hug from me and you'll be smelling carmel goodness. I was looking for something carmel heavy the only one is a bit too pricy and I found a good price on this. It's powder-ey I believe from the honeysuckle and vanilla but it's honestly an enjoyable powder smell because I mostly smell a heavy dose of carmel!

scentiful

Of course its creme brulee lovliness but you can find cheaper dupes like Curious in control by Britney Spears or Vivacious by Kelly Brook.

Smonalisa

Its a caramel that has a saltiness to it akin to human skin. Sweet but very sexy and carnal. I like it a lot.

chloewyd

PROS:
+It makes me wish I could inhale for hours straight, no breaks
+Walking by leaves a waft of caramel in the air. I feel yummy. Eat me.
+Very cheap

CONS:
-Lasts about 2 hours/needs frequent reapplication
-Alcohol heavy for the first 10 minutes

I am 22 and I wear this to work (bc I'm the office baddieeee), and then I reapply as I leave before going out. There is a reason people are obsessed with this scent, and it's bc it's warm and inviting and freaking GOOD

4.5/5 since it does not last long

giantenemykat

It’s okay! I don’t get the caramel as much as I get floral. I’m a fellow victim of Jeremy. It reminded me of when I wore Viva La Juicy in middle school. Too much, too headache inducing. Just no.

Guavachi

This smells amazing, definitely not caramel on me, it smells super similar to cactus blossom from the body shop which is delicious
