Beautiful fragrance, but doesnt last more than 1hour. The price is also high for a perfume that doesnt perform well. A but disappointed!

Agree with Vellocet below. Heliotrope and cocoa powder what a combination! This is gorgeous and very inexpensive. Next trying Jil Sander Water Sport, the newer version of Sun and the Touch of Violet.

Vellocet

Cacao? Heliotrope? What a combination! This is the perfume I wear to bed. So soft and powdery with those notes combined. Luckily i’ve found two bottles that i’ll cherish forever! If you can get your hands on it - go for it! You will NOT be disappointed. Masterpiece!

I bought this because I love Poudree and while I love it, I use it as a "comfortable" casual scent. I always felt there was a wow factor missing. Intense fulfills that wow factor for me. I love it. I have both and will continue to buy both whenever and wherever I can. For those who love powdery scents with a pop this is for you.

For me this is such an odd perfume. Sometimes the longevity is somewhat ok and then there days where I simply can’t smell anything except for the cacao - after 10 minutes or so, nothing. So you can obviously smell the cacao note in this perfume and honestly not sure I like it. Those days when I get a better longevity, I do get the base notes and they are lovely. I just don’t know when. It’s like a surprise😂 very odd.

Not sure how I feel about this one yet. For a “poudrée,” I wasn’t expecting it to be THIS spicy on the initial blast. Thankfully, it definitely does dry down to a powder forward scent. It certainly has that “cabbage patch/Barbie doll” scent about it, which I happen to like.

I wish the vetiver was a little more subtle and the cacao was a weeee bit more pronounced but, overall, it was a decent blind buy. I’m going to layer this with Zara’s Nuit to bring out most of the powdery notes from both.

so recently i was reading a thread in the forum on which powder scent was the best...........and someone had replied with this perfume as a good powder scent...........so since i love powder scents lol i took quick action lol & ordered it :)

i got it today & omg i love it !!! its a perfect powder scent !!! its beautiful creamy smooth & lush :)

im not familiar with jil sander scents but i am very happy with this purchase - i did check out her other scents & love a lot of the notes she uses - so of coarse more orders placed lol - u cant beat the prices on frag-net right lol

its not too strong so i would say an easy to wear powder scent :)

and thank u to the forum with a great suggestion :)

Only use it for layering with sharp fragrances like la petite robe noir this way you get a powerdry cherry instead of a sharp fresh cherry it’s make the hole fragrance softer and more wearable in my opinion.gave it to my sister se likes it for everyday use

I fully concur with what previous reviewers have written and there seems nothing more to write 'xcept to warn that it has low sillage and projection but passable longevity- it quickly settles to be a skin scent and needs to be oversprayed, well I overspray when I wear it to bed.
The heliotrope and cacao predominant combination produces a comforting, wee sweet gourmand skin scent that is helped into powdriness by cashmeran... it smells so familiar and I cannot for the life of me remember which fragrance it resembles. I'm thinking the mid-dry down of Rihanna's Rebelle? If I figure it out, I'll come back and update my comment.
There's nothing special about this, but I bought it intending to use it as a bedtime scent.
In addition, the cap is very fiddly.

Update: Something about the opening is a tad sharp and nauseating- I think its cocoa + freesia, but after 30 seconds, the notes settle into their place. The more I wear it, the more enamoured I am with the cocoa-heliothrope-cashmeran powderiness that settles onto my skin as a skin scent. Sniffing my perfumed skin makes me think of the vapour from instant hot chocolate drinks. I wish it would project longer than for 10 mins on the skin.

I'm very pleased with this scent and performance. It has the light powderyness of a marshmallow and it has a forward tonka-cacao note that gives this simply beautiful, airy & cozy scent a subdued gourmand quality. Soft & delightful!

gtabasso

It's all about the heliotrope and smells pretty much like a powdery vanilla with a hit of white musk, cashmeran, creamy sandalwood and some floral freesia providing a touch of sharpness in the top.

On my skin this smells like Demeter Library of Fragrance Baby Powder with cocoa powder added. That's a good thing in my book but it's certainly a winter scent for me because it's very sweet and powdery. Very lovely!

I love this! I have been spraying my little heart out since I got it in the mail. I have gotten much better at blind buying, which has come about through a loooooottt of sampling. This is probably not a good thing for me, considering what my perfume budget is. Right now, this fragrance is such a good deal.

It is looking like they have done a repackaging/reformulation of this recently? I only say reformulation because the color of the juice looks like a transparent pink or fuchsia. I have not smelled it. I got the one with the pink top and black juice, which I am thinking is the original model. Honestly I love the black juice, it looks cool but doesn't match the "feel" of the scent at all.

I got it because I have fallen in love with L'instant Magic and this is hailed as it's budget dupe. Not a complete dupe, but it scratches the itch. It's a love. I want the non-intense version, too. Or, someone to buy me one of those spanking new L'instant Magic's from the Guerlain site...

This is fucking delightful. Erhhh mah gherrrddd.
Cocoa marshmallows! Seriously- those chocolate marshmallows.
Got a tester from FragranceX for $22 and I’m so stoked. It’s the most perfect scent for January. 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎

I find this to be a very cozy, comforting scent. I am at home sick (yes, with covid) and want to feel normal but cannot stomach a stronger fragrance. This is perfect. It is nice, soft and powdery, yet does not give me a headache.
I do want to say, for those of you that meant to purchase the regular simply poudree and instead got the intense version, I have both and they are basically the same except the intense has the cacao note, which adds only a slight cocoa scent. It's not a big difference at all, definitely not enough to purchase the other. When I run out of both of mine, I will not repurchase both; only whichever one is available.

TabledThoughts

Lovely powdery perfume.
Comfortably warmed with vanilla, cocoa and vetiver.
Nice winter fragrance.

Roos88dutch

Really light , but nice chocolate heliotrope power dry sent . It’s a skin sent to me. I love it to wear to bed .

Thaolee

As I own La Perla White Iris, so when first spray, it immediately remind me of White Iris. However, White Iris is more almondy. and this one is more floral. But the dry down is almost same. Both are nice, but i think White Iris is more long lasting. Still a good blind buy though.

mirrorghost

i thought i was purchasing the regular poudree perfume (not the intense) as it was titled on fragrancenet, but got this one instead. anyway this one is a cozy, warm heliotrope bomb. i have been loving these types of scents the last few years, and this one is very good. i get a lot of heliotrope with cacao, sandalwood and cashmeran and a hint of vetiver in the background. i like this a lot-it's comforting on a cold winter's day.

cococonut

Pretty succesfull blind buy for me! Why is this so underrated? First spray immediately reminded me of L'instant Magic, which I loved. So, if you liked LM, you gonna most likely like this one as well.

I expected this to be very light (Lanvin Éclat kinda stuff) but its heavier than that. Performace is also good, it projects quite well and I can still smell it on myself hours after spraying. I asked my friend if he can smell any perfume on me and he said that he smelled it the moment he entered the room. Soo, really not bad!

I find this scent very comforting and cosy. Some mentioned it smells like baby powder, but not to me. What smelled totally like baby powder was for example Bvlgari BLV. This one not really. Well, now I'm really curious about the original Simply Poudree, need to try that one as well.

Pooka

Like the name suggests, really really powdery, strong cocoa note, sadly bad longevity. The mix of cocoa and cashmere is really comforting, smelling it the first time, it made me think of a cozy afternoon at home in a tropical place with a storm outside. A really grounded, almost serious scent, like a needed hug. I can imagine that it could be too dark and masculine for some women, it's definitely not girly.

UnearthlyApothecary

Wow kinda bummed I bought this from FragX where it was listed as “Simply EDP” which of course, it was not. I noticed since then they added a photo so you can at least see what you’re actually buying. it’s so similar to the original there is no point in owning both and even though I no longer have my bottle of Simply Poudree I wanna say this one doesn’t even perform as well. We’re talking skin close. I got pretty decent silage and longevity from Simply Poudree. The cocoa note is different and maybe if it really stood out and made it more unique but honestly it’s not as noticeable as you would think. Disappointing “Intense” version for sure

ViouAmara

It’s like mixing a baby Johnson soft body milk with unsweetened cocoa powder. I’ve really to be in the right mood to use it, even if it is not bad at all.

foreverine

Uh oh... This is a love for me. It started very fresh. Then it moved to a very sweet and warm cloud. It is almost similar to Kenzo L'elixir which I also enjoy very much. I think people should pay more attention to this German designer label Jil Sander. Very underrated yet good perfumes.

whimsicalpopsicle

This was a blind buy based on the notes and main accords listed here. I knew I would like it. It is indeed powdery, woody, calming cacao but I wouldn't say intense. To me it's soft, heavenly from the beginning to the drydown. After a while I can't smell it on me unless I put my nose to my wrist, and I just get whiffs here and there when I move. Which is great really, because sometimes I don't want a beast of a fragrance on me, just straight confidence in knowing that I smell great. And I get compliments every time I wear it, so, yay!

raiza1990

I was positively surprised with this one. It is really pleasant. I get an intensive cocoa note and then some powder. Even though it's called Poudree Intense it is less powdery than the original Eau Poudree. I prefer this one.
Sillage and longevity are good enough.
Final note: 7/10
