Pure Turkish delight. Sweet and delicate rose water, pillowy soft vanilla, and just the right touch of green and citrus from the neroli. This scent feels cozy and nostalgic, and one I hope to see Jo Malone bring back.

I certainly understand the Kilian LDBS comparisons, but I find this distinctly lighter and less sweet.

ataraxiuh

candied rose, something green and citrusy , a baby doll from childhood, rose scented soap

This IS Love Don’t be Shy EXTREME. The extreme version only tho. If you like this scent and want a stronger deeper version than this Jo Malone get LDBS EXTREME. it’s absolutely gorgeous.

This is totally delicious and should be back! The rose here it's not fresh or floral but candied, totally lokhoum. I get a lot of orange blossom, a full watery splash which reminds me of some traditional pastries. The vanille isn't deep or boozy but very light, lingering and sugar coated. It actually smells like the white vanilla bean powder or vanilla sugar used in pastries.
This is a light, luminous, playful and régressive fragrance. A sweet treat in a sunny, sparky spring morning with a lot of easter morning vibes. The light pink is a very appropriate color. Very persistent, about 7/8 hours on skin ans up to three days on clothes.

I am obsessed with all of the sweet orange blossom scents that are in the same family as Kilian LDBS💗

In saying so, Rose water and vanilla is a gorgeous fragrance but it actually smells nothing like roses! It smells like orange blossom. Like a sweet and fresh orange blossom. Think Kilian LDBS but a summery, lighter and fresher version of it. It is still sweet but no where as sweet and it has a nice airy feel to it. Think pink candies but in a light airy way if this makes any sense. It also has a slight greenness to it, which adds a nice touch and cuts down the sweetness🍬☀️🍃

If you love Kilian LDBS but you are searching for a fresher less sweet version then definitely check this one out.

The performance and longevity is moderate on me personally, it becomes a skin scent in a couple hours so keep that in mind. I don’t mind re-spraying though lol

If anyone has any gorgeous syrupy orange blossom scent suggestions, please send them through I need them all lol

This was a blind buy from me bc I absolutely adore rose flavored loukoum and it did not disappoint! The opening is a little green, reminiscent of crushed stems , but it fades out and adds a touch of freshness. Then the sweet, powdery rose loukoum scent shines through in the most delicate and interesting way. Like eating one of the sticky rose flavored squares while sitting in a garden during a light sprinkle. This is a fantastic scent spring/summer fragrance for gourmand lovers like me who wants to stay sweet all year round but need something lighter for the warmer months.

RW&V is absolutely stunning for all sweet rose fragrance lovers. It was a complete blind buy, but that’s because I’m a huge fan of anything rose water. To be honest, on first spray, the initial scent of that fresh burst of sweet yet sharp neroli was a bit unexpected, given the name of this perfume. And the thought followed “Well, did we really need a neroli note in this? It could have been better without it.” But by the third and fourth wear, I was convinced that the neroli brings a wonderful balance to the sweet delicious rose lokhoum note!
So, on spraying, RW&V starts out with a sweet yet sharp and unmistakeable neroli followed immediately by a light rose/lokhoum scent. As soon as that starts to settle, the floral rose and lokhoum notes begin to take shape and get stronger, and turns this perfume into a beautiful sweet floral gourmand with heaps of Middle Eastern vibes! Wow, I was immediately transported back home to those confectioner shops that sold rosewater halvas.
RW&V is a daytime perfume simply owing to the lightness and freshness of the citrus neroli! But it is sexy enough to be layered with something deeper for the evening too! If you love the scent of rose water, I consider this to be a safe blind buy. Such a wonderful refreshing rose fragrance without cloying heady florals and overdone vanillic gourmand-ness. I wish they sold it in a 100ml flacon. Give it a try… especially as it is a limited edition.

Once again, Jo Malone lets me down. I was so excited to find a bottle of this, and the first spray smelled sweet and promising. I love Loukhoum fragrances, and I love sweet fragrances, so I thought this would finally be a Jo Malone that I like. Buy when this dries down on me the sweetnees and rose just poof! disappears and is replaced by something harsh and spicy. I suppose it’s either the petitgrain and/or the patchouli. Sigh. Every time I try a Jo Malone fragrance I get something screechy that gives me a headache. This one isn’t that bad, but not at all what I expected reading the notes and reviews. On top of that, 30 minutes after spraying and I can barely smell anything. Wait, no. I smell Old Spice? Or shaving cream? Not even a tiny bit of rose water or vanilla. What a shame, because I adore the bottle. D*mnit, Jo Malone!

I love the whole collection,, such a good balance. Red Rose - full on Rose; Rose Blush - Rose and fruity; and I particularly love this one, Rose water and Vanilla, I would say this is powdery. Those 2 I would say they are mainstream, I mean quite often there are other brands mixing rose with other fruits (such as Miss Dior, Armani Diamonds) and to me this one, Rose water and Vanilla stands out.

The only thing I feel pity is the packaging, I don't like that its in purple and it only comes in 50ml this time which is 2 small.

ChocoLei

I don't get the incense but it's highly reminiscent of LDBS, with a strong and mouth-watering rose note. I love this, it feels like a perfect all-year round gourmand orange-blossom, rose and vanilla mix.

What surprises me is how it achieves to smell more light-weight, in comparison with Kilian LDBS, while also being full of personality, rich in contrasts and texture and so well-rounded. Of course, it has that delightful natural quality that is emblematic to Jo Malone, but it projects and last way more than their usual offerings. That being said, don't expect it to perform like an EDP from some other brand, it's still a Jo Malone haha. But it's beaaauuutiful. Addictive. It has a tinge of powderiness that reminds me of a marshmallow (or should I say, loukhoum) but it's more subtle, like a small hint.

A must-have for orange-blossom fans, this is delectable! And stock up while you can :( So sad it's a limited edition...

Light rose water, incense, orange blossom and vanilla. Very pretty and warm. Might be a little heavy on the artificial Turkish delight (IMHO no one can really capture this sweet fresh and gentle dessert note, even Jo Malone). Overall a versatile, warm and slightly flowery scent. A strong like!

DebiL1211

A beautiful sweet but not overly sweet light rose and heavily vanilla scent on my skin. I don't get anything other than the rose and vanilla. I get about 7 hours of wear time and after the first hour it is very intimate. I love this one. It isn't unique but it is very pretty.

applejack78

This is a sweet candy rose fragrance and a gourmand delight! Smells like a dessert. No wonder this one sold out first at Sephora. I like this one better than the original intense version.

Rainstorm

First thought: beautiful.
Second thought: I need to get a back up bottle as it’s limited edition. Nooooo.

It’s a subtle sweet feminine fragrance that smells more natural than just a gourmand sweet smell. The rose doesn’t stand out as a rose as such. Which I’m pleased about as although I love the smell of rose it’s such a distinctive smell and I already have my favourite rose perfume, Armani signature (now discontinued) but my bottle remains. This smell is what I was looking for. It’s very comforting and has a slightly edible quality that makes you want to eat yourself but it still manages to remain classy and elegant. This is quite a feat as most gourmands though tasty and appealing can become more juvenile. This does not.

It doesn’t project really but It is extremely well blended and balanced. I also think it will suit all age groups. A very pretty beautiful and addictive scent. Warm, sensual and alluring. I love it!!!

I’m finding the neroli note is becoming very noticeable to me after a few sprays throughout the day. I think it’s this note that is helping slice through the sweetness. it is very light so it does need to be over sprayed, can’t see a 50ml lasting very long. I sprayed it on my pillow as I smell fragrances better when they’re not on me and I was smelling neroli very dominantly. Today I’ve sprayed again and it’s a marshmallow airy warm scent. Very beautiful scent.

Chelsey325

I absolutely love this, but DID NOT upon initial spray. The greenness really threw me, but that quickly dissipates and it truly is beautiful. I wore the heck out of this the first month I had it. LDBS is one of my all time favorites, and this reminds me of LDBS Extreme but not as chocolatey. It’s lovely and much cheaper than Kilian so, grab it if you can! Not a huge projection but lasts a long time!

I usually don't like rose-centrered fragrances, but this one is the perfect rose scent for the gourmand lovers !

The rose is not the main player here as the loukhoum and the vanilla are the most opulent notes to my nose. The perfume is very gourmand, enveloping and comforting, probably thanks to the cacoa powder note. The opening has a little bit of green touch with the petitgrain, but this impression only last for 10min. After that it transforms to a pretty sweet scent. The projection is moderate (definitely not a skin scent), and the longevity is pretty impressive for a Jo Malone scent. It's also not a light fragrance, it's kind of heavy and I really like that.

For comparison, the dry down is not similar to the original Love don't be Shy by Kilian, but is very similar to Love don't be Shy Extreme (which is basically LDBS with rose water added).

Revontuli

I love Turkish delights with rose flavour, but to me, this perfume is more like a rose-flavoured candy than "lokum". I was expecting a little more powderiness with amped-up, intense rose as it is how lokum feels and tastes actually. In my opinion, it lacks that quality. I will need to test it a few more times.

Edit: Yesterday I bought the Body Shop's Rebel Rosebud, and the vibe is so similar to this scent. Jo Malone stays as close to skin as this one, so don't see any reason grabbing a bottle unless there is a good price deal.

Admittedly, I was taken by surprise when I first smelled Rose Water & Vanilla. Given the name, I was prepared to smell a sweet rose fragrance, but I was greeted by the green and aromatic scents of neroli and petitgrain instead. I am actually impressed at how realistically those two notes are rendered in this fragrance. That green opening lasts for around one hour. Afterwards, the sweeter side of the fragrance emerges, where rose, powdery cacao and vanilla are clearly recognizable. I also believe that a sweet orange blossom note emerges during the early stages of the drydown. At that point, I agree that the fragrance has similarities with Love by Killian or Oriana by Parfums de Marly. Once fully dried down, it indeed smells like a sweet delicacy, flavored with rose and orange blossom water. Luckily, the sweetness is not overpowering, so that the fragrance still exudes a playful elegance.

jassca99

I agree! This re-release smells just like the original JM Rose Water & Vanilla except it’s a little more gummier and “chewier” in the rose candy note. The original was like an actual glass of rose water with natural vanilla added, immediately becoming powdery, as if powdered sugar was poured into the glass. Then the rose water turned into a chewy sugar-dusted rose candy on a bed of mild petitgrain. The new one isn’t as powdery in my opinion and is a little sweeter. However both are comparable to other sweet rose, neroli, vanilla kind of fragrances and last moderately on me with JM projection which isn’t bad on my skin.

The fragranticans made me do it! I Took a leap of faith based on reviews from the original rose water and vanilla original page. I really hope this is a good blind buy as it wasn’t even on my radar let alone the top of my want list. But reading the reviews really made me hungry 🤤 and now I’ve been craving some Loukhoum 🤤 thanks guys ☺️

Yurippe

I wanted to love this, but didn't get much rose or vanilla when I tried it in the store. It smelled almost herbal and a bit like incense.

cerenimoo1

one of the perfumes I don't like. It smells like a sweet

laramharam

smells like roseflavoured sweets from the balkans
