Well, this fragrance is all over the place. I can’t really describe it! It spicy salty with tonka bean which on me is not strong at all.. Hmmmm at a loss for words. Just so you know it isn’t horrible but just a mix mash of a scent. Longeivty is great thou!
Sillage is excellent also! I’m gonna give this a 5/10 because this is a mix of notes that don’t play to well with each other! 🛑Dont’ wear in summer heat!

dismalharmony

Cypress is MIA. It’s salty tonka bean all the way down. Not for me. (Decent sillage, though.)

PrincessKitana

This scent surprised me with its niche and expensive perfumes like scent for a fraction of the price. Its sweet and warm yet suitable for summer imo, really pleasant one !

Aidafares

Guys any one knows if this one been discounted?! Pls help should I get backups
Edit
I got 2 bottles thank god one of the most salty vanilla perfumes in sexy addictive way
Imagine your self laying on the beach very hot your skin hot and salty and you just added body lotion vanilla flavored. I’m lucky girl

Scentillusion

Catchy and yum. On a breezy sunny day you will enjoy it. I ordered a backup bottle

Holy tonka bomb Batman.

I blind bought this fragrance based only on reviews and the reported notes. At first, it reminded me of hair products, like my grandmother's hair spray, but this happened when I first tested it on paper. On skin and clothing it is a bit different, sweet and at the same time something green that makes it more unisex, though it is not very masculine but something in between. Moderate to low longevity, no more than 4 hours, so I reapply to make it last a bit longer. Overall, I quite like it and I think I'll use it, but it's nothing groundbreaking or significantly different from several other fragrances on the market.
I did a test by layering it with Lanvin's Oxygene Homme and it worked out nicely. Oxygene added its dose of cypress and juniper, making it last a bit longer and leaning more masculine.

Unfortunatelly, I got no cypress and I found this overly sweet. I have a feeling that colder weather is best for this one. Leans more towards olympea than reveal, which I adore and was looking for an alternative with better lasting power.

ava96

I really like aromatic perfumes, but I'm not sure that they really suit me.
This one is a sweeter version of an aromatic. The salt reminds me of Benessere Salaria, but the sweetness makes it better for me.

OceanLife

I was so happy to get my hands on this beautiful scent! It smells so rich and much more luxurious than what the price may suggest! Very pretty. I also have World and they really smell nothing alike. This one is much more sophisticated and World is more girly. I love the air of cypress that surrounds me when I use it. The salty tonka bean drydown is very powerful. Just be forewarned: its a STRONG smell, so use it carefully. I only need one spray and I’m sure people will smell this from an arm’s length away. Also, I’m not sure I need to add, but this is definitely a unisex perfume and I’m sure men will appreciate this too. This may be too heavy for hot days, so definitely try this in colder weather.

Reading the reviews and list of notes, this fragrance was so intriguing to me that I had to have it. Perfectly ready to blind buy. But what happened to me is a curious and annoying fragrance experience that I had with a few others. They begin so wild and complex, seduce me with opening and I see months of pleasure wearing them and then they settle into a single base note that doesn't please me. Not surprising that this fragrance ended up in pure tonka bean on my skin after half an hour. After all, it is the base note. But smelling just like tonka bean wasn't so great. I like tonka with other ingredients in perfumes, but, on its own it reminds me of a body cream or shower gel. It can easily be a unisex fragrance and, if you skin loves tonka, you could be in for a treat.

Galbanum108

I consider the division into men's and women's fragrances, which appeared only 140 years ago, to be nonsense. In fact, what the market today calls masculine and feminine fragrances are halves of good (!) Fragrances. That's why I combine World power with sauvage Dior, the result is holistic, magical and beautiful.

qply

Very enjoyable scent. It’s both salty and creamy, and a bit carefree. Unisex but not in that ‘both masculine and feminine’ way. It’s NEITHER masculine nor feminine. It smells like the end of a happy summer’s day to me.

IvanaSch

I love it, it is salty and sweet, just so well rounded and absolutely gorgeous. Great for winter. Lasts about 4-5 hours on my skin.
I have Kenzo World edp as well, and these two are *very* different, yet I love them both. Kenzo World gets me lots of compliments but Kenzo World Power feels cozy and comforting.

Rosemary14

I really like this. It very unique with a kind of soapy pine smell on top of a very smooth, rich, tonka, and salted vanilla. As a woman you have to kind of like soapy, musky, greenish, woody masculine scents or you might not like this. This one smells niche and not like any other fragrance I have. It’s part walk through a forest by a shoreline and part rich, smooth, and slightly sweet. I get the comparison to Olympea but In Olympea the salty ambergris is much more artificial, cloying, and animalic. This one is better imo it’s just a salt note note ambergris so it’s way less fishy. This fragrance is more sophisticated and more smooth and blended well.

Also, this fragrance is STRONG. I’m an over sprayer (around 11 or 12) and I do 3 of this.

ShelbyKB

Musky, cold cypress with hints of warm fruit! Aromatic, fresh, cool vanilla! A sprinkle of salt is thrown in for good measure. Freshly trimmed juniper bushes stand in the backround.

Upon first spray, I do pickup some of the saltiness! I get a subtle fruity, nutty undertone from the tonka right off the bat too.... "WINE" is the word that comes to mind as it begins to dry down. But not your sickeningly sweet dessert wine, don't worry!

World Power is so nicely blended and there's no weird screechiness going on. But...... she's STRONG!! I was getting fairly potent whiffs of it with my arms at my sides! This may be TMI but I did not shower the next day and yep..... she stuck around!!
It does drydown into a sweeter vanilla, but it doesn't just evaporate after the first 2 hours and for that she deserves a round of applause! I couldn't stop putting my arm to my nose..... if aromatic vanillas are your jam, you're going to love it!

Projection: 7/10
Longevity: 9/10
Overall: 8/10

Coriemulvey

Smells like the drydown of TF Costa Azura

UPDATE:

Okay this obviously needed to Macerate or sit for a week or 3, I’m getting the sweetness and it’s more blended but it’s more complex than Olympea, Olympea lays on the yacht in her bikini whilst her Man captain adores her and Kenzo World power stands at the front of the mega yacht and pulls up to their empire.

Original Review;
This opens up very Errr.. Manly. Lol not feminine at all, vanilla is not even listed as a note. Definitely unisex, Nothing close to Olympea but very close to CK Reveal. Im getting the scent of mens deodorant and little to no sweetness, This was a let-down for the most part.

lmnsvgz

Incredibly smooth. I see how it could be compared to Olympea. There is the sweet and salty combination, but here the sweetness is less cloying. The tonka bean is a smooth, sweet base that makes it a bit unisex, a man can easily pull this off. The cypress isn't that prominent to my note, but maybe it makes the salt note fresher on top, I cannot tell very well. A really good hidden gem!

Flared Maple

In the opening this definitely gives me cypress.
After the initial green woodiness wears off, this smells almost like an exact dupe of Olympéa on me.
Doesn't smell bad at all, but I find it quite disappointing as I already have Olympéa in my collection and I don't like having too many dupes.

That being said, if you enjoy the salty-sweetness of Olympéa, its highly likely you will enjoy this.

SailorV

A pretty wild and unique blend, and also surprisingly unisex for a feminine designer release.
World Power combines a very buttery, sweet tonka bean with a salty skin accord, a hint of the fruity, syrupy opening of the original Kenzo World and a touch of synthetic fresh woodsiness. I suppose that's meant to be cypress. At times the fragrance even smells a little like cinnamon to me, which is likely just the coumarin from the tonka.
So, this is not just another Olympea-esque salty beach scent, it has more layers. Unfortunately it gives me the impression that they tried to mix in as many popular accords as possible, so the final result feels a little crowded and chaotic.
I enjoy the buttery, spiced and salted tonka sweetness in this, but I'm not a big fan of the rather harsh cypress. I would like it way more if it smelled closer to a real tree and had less of that "random woodsy note in a male-marketed product" going on.

All in all, I don't love it, I don't hate it, I'm still not 100% sure what to make of it. I will say that it suits the yellow eye bottle perfectly, but I'll let you decide if that's a good or a bad thing. If the marketing appeals to you, definitely do try.

AuthenticAF

I really like this! I def get the salt and tonka. I dont get cypress as much. I think it leans feminine but could still be unisex. I cant tell about silage and longevity yet, but i thought it would be a bomb and it seems moderate. It is clean and bright and comforting at the same time, very unique! I cant imagine this being offensive there is nothing to dislike here, very nice!
Update: i feel like i smell peach? My nose may be broken not sure

bella99bella

Definitely a unisex fragrance in my opinion. Very woody and aromatic. Depends on what kind of fragrances you like. Personally, I lean towards more sweet, fruity and gourmand-y scents so I don’t reach for this one that much.

Although it is nice to have something different and unique in my collection, this will not be something I repurchase (and I probably won’t need to since I don’t see myself running out of this one).

I would say it’s not a safe blind buy, unless maybe you’re into these kinds of notes/scents.

Also, for the interested: it lasts for a very long time (super strong longevity) and it’s also a strong fragrance (in that you probably won’t need to spray more than once).

rainme

Smells closer to CK reveal than olympea to me, but without the weird dried saliva note I get from reveal. Very nice smooth salty fragrance.

Carolinefragrance

Beautiful salty and aromatic. Sadly the saltiness catches in my throat. Very unisex. After a lot of deliberation I have decided not to get a backup bottle although rumour had it it’s being discontinued.

singlehandedbeauty

I gave in and blind-bought this and was truly surprised that no one is comparing this to Mugler fragrances. Not that this is a dupe, but I get hints of Angel and Amen DNA—that sweet and savory tonka/amber/woody base to be specific. Like Mugler fragrances, World Power is very bold and quite unique. It's sweet, salty, and leans quite masculine. The cypress in this is magical. I typically like unisex and masculine-leaning scents, but WP has proven to me that I prefer those types of fragrances when they lean fresh, NOT sweet. I wasn't planning on keeping this so I had my husband try it and it smells fantastic on him. It's a great non-cloying sweet fragrance option for the summer that leaves an intoxicating trail for the first couple of hours. WP is a fabulous choice for anyone who wants to rock something sweet and bold.

AoiUsagi

To me there is a surprisingly big floral component to this, somewhere between peony, jasmine, and maybe pear? It's really strong for the first hour or so, before eventually fading to more of a supporting role to the dry vanilla (and amber/ambroxan, imo). It's not objectively bad, but I'm not a fan of white florals, so I'm a little disappointed.

fonty_o

This is salty amber. I don't know why they haven't put amber in as a note, it is so prominent! It is a salty, fresh amber fragrance with a touch of cypriol and a large dose of tonka. This is absolutely unisex. It could be worn easily by women or men. This could be worn in any season, it really is that versatile. There's no sweetness, just salty, ambery, tonka. Not a safe blind buy IMO.
Projects well and lasts 8 plus hours. The bottle isn't the best to look at but I've seen worse! Give it a try!

abbieclark67

At first, when reading the notes, I didn't have high expectation, but then I tried it on my skin and I regret the way I thought about it in the beginning. It's such a special and unique salt fragrance, one of the greatest tbh. It's a beautiful niche perfume that has an expensive smell, with great projection and longevity :)

mossmouse

This actually does smell a bit Alien-y in the opening, but it's entirely its own scent. It's a bit beachy with the slightly sweet salt but then that cypress comes in and rounds it out. I'm getting salty sunbaked skin musk, a cozy slightly sweet vanillic base (body lotion or sweet scented sunscreen?) and a warm breeze through cypress trees. This one makes me happy. It's sexy but in that intimate, cuddly way. I actually find it a little romantic, like you've spent the whole day playing in the waves with your lover on a little secluded beach (in Greece specifically I don't know why) and now the sun is going down and you're both sleepy and sundrunk dozing off on the sand. I also don't mind the bottle, I think it's cool and unique.

EDIT: Okay after a bit of wear this is a lot more cologne-y and ambery on skin. It's still definitely wearable in the summer but I wouldn't call it a beachy summer scent anymore. My skin pulls the tonka and the cypress hard and the salt sort of takes a back seat after the initial spray. It's still there adding to the freshness but it's not like sea salt in your teeth.

WifeyPink

I don't know how people are getting any of the Olympeas from World Power.. They do NOT smell similar, at all. Whole different vibe. I love & adore Olympea but no I don't get anything similar in world power. World Power is quickly becoming a love for me too though! Slightly masculine but slightly feminine, great unisex fragrance tbh I'd still rather smell this on myself than on my man. Anyways the longevity is great & it's perfect for those super hot hot summer days or nights. I wish I had found this sooner! Same type of vibe as light blue intense but I'd probably choose World Power over LB every time.

obssessedsniffer

Lovely fragrance I don't see the Olympea comparison, to be me it smells a little like Alien in the opening, then turn masculine salty vanilla. Definitely a unique fragrance. Happy I was able to find this after it was discontinued. Could probably be a signature summer/fall scent. Reminds me of a expensive candle.

l_02mx

A unisex Olympea without the white florals, pick this up if you can, if you enjoy a more unique take on vanillas. I thoroughly enjoy this scent. Although, Olympea is still my all time favourite.

Sad to see it’s discontinued, it’s lovely. If you are in the UK the fragrance shop online has this in stock. This isn’t a safe blind buy, I don’t think many people enjoy a salt note especially combined with the cypress, some people may find it a bit harsh.

However, on skin, that stunning tonka bean jumps right out, the cypress and salt give this a nice edge that can make this fragrance lean more masculine and stops the Tonka bean from being too cloying. I can’t really comment on projection as I got used to this pretty fast but longevity is average, at 6 hours for me. A very well blended, peculiar vanilla! Happy to have this as part of my collection.

sim-star

This is by far one of the best salt perfumes out there. It is fresh and perfect for summer. There are 3 notes listed but I swear I smell more to this. It lasts fairly well. I don't think Olympea and World Power have any resemblance at all. But why on earth have they discontinued this? (PTSD kicking in, flashback, Gucci by Gucci, I mean WTH).

SophiaG

I definitely don't see the strong resemblance between this and Olympea that other people seem to find - it has a salty/creamy vibe that is similar, but Olympea is faaaar sweeter and imo, less sophisticated. I don't love the indolic jasmine that Olympea has, and World Power gives me "salty" without the sweaty, sickly sweet jasmine that Olympea has.
Between the two, I much prefer this, but it's totally a personal choice, and I certainly don't find them similar enough to rule out owning both if you like them equally.

saccitygrl01

This is an easy love! Totally safe blind buy if you love Olympea. It is similar in that it is a warm non-gourmand vanilla. Here it is fresh, bright, clean and slightly sweet. Salt note is not very noticeable to me but if it was I wouldn't mind as I love that with vanilla. Too bad its been discontinued.

Chinadoll36

Complete, well rounded, unique scent. This is a stunning unisex, salty vanilla with an edge of cypress. It's opening is slightly masculine but fresh. Leads into a smooth dry down that is straight up addicting. Sweet but just the right amount of sweet. This to me has a beautiful depth to it. You want to keep smelling it. Plays nicely in warmer and cooler weather. I would not wear this on a super hot day but a summer night, oh yes!! This smells amazing during dead of winter as well. The comparisons to Olympea, I can see for someone who is not super familiar with fragrances. Cousins, but very very distant ones. Olympea is straight forward vanilla with some salt/florals. Linear, nice, and crowd pleasing. If you want something with a touch of edge and to stand out against the mainstream salty vanillas, I highly suggest this. Great performance and you can find this gem for super cheap. I got a full bottle for just under $30! Its a must try

joliecat

WOW ! I LOVE this one ! Kenzo World Power EDP is strong, super long lasting, unique, refreshing, and not for the shy. A strong cloud of salt rushes to the front with first spray, as if an ocean wave has hit you hard enough to knock you over. Suddenly, tonka envelops the salted air for a few minutes, then fades to the background, hiding behind the cedar. For the next 8 hours, densely salted air radiates around you in a pleasing way, as if you've just come out of the ocean, wet, warm, refreshed. Sweet hints of vanilla-like tonka lift into the air around you, intermittently fading, mingling with the cedar notes. Lasts easily 8 hours with moderate projection. You only need one or two sprays. This stuff is powerful ! In cold dry winter air, the cedar and salt notes are most prominent. The sweet vanilla tonka radiates increasingly with dry hot summer air. It smells like salted caramel ice cream melting in the sun. I find World Power a very intense, yet pleasant scent. Comparatively, for me, Calvin Klein Reveal is less sweet, more like a real sand beach and ocean scent, more unisex than World Power. Bvlgari Divina is softly sandy, dry, almost powdery, with a gentle floral sweetness, timid, calming and wears closer to skin than World Power. All are beautiful scents for any season.

ParfumJunkie

So I'm not a big fan of any of the other Kenzo Worlds that I have tried (Kenzo World EDT and Kenzo World EDP - my skin turns them) but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Kenzo World Power. I get TONS of compliments when I wear this one - it's an easy choice to decide to wear this one. I save it for my fall and winter fragrance rotation. It lasts a long time and I love days later finding a sweater that I sprayed it on and still getting to enjoy the scent. It's completely different from my usual fragrances. Totally worth the purchase! The only thing I really dislike is the fact that is looks like pee - UGH - WHY THAT COLOUR? The pupil part of the eye looks cheap on the bottle but the juice is FANTASTIC. I love that it's so unique compared to anything any of my friends wear. I proudly wear it to the office!

karinatfragrantica

Very strong, you definitely make a statement wearing this. But somehow an odd mix. Cypress and tonka do not go well together for my nose. But I have to admit that I can in general tolerate tonka only in small doses...

Szilvita

Kenzo World Power feels like I'm wearing a mix between Olympea (salt) and Good Girl Supreme (tonka) with a little twist at the beginning, due to the cypres I suppose.

I put this on at 6.15 and now at 17.15 I can still smell it. So I'm pleased with the longivity.

I agree that the cypress twist can make it a tad masculine for a little while.

I prefer to wear it in winter, or chilly seasons.

xValerijax

Too much vanilla. It is supposed to be a summer fragrance but I tried to wear it and it made me feel nauseous.... I still kinda like it though.

It has ambroxan in it which is what attracted me to it in the first place, but its a hard pass cuz its too much.

xoxoMyke

Very interesting.

Kenzo World Power is very different from the initial Kenzo World. Where the original is synthetic red fruits and masculine laundry musk (ambroxan), World Power is salty-sweet and fresh spicy musk with a masculine slant. And believe it or not, there are unlisted notes that definitely contain the laundry-esque musk DNA that is in the original Kenzo Power.

Kenzo World Power opens very similar to Bvlgari Aqua Divina with its spicy salt accord. In fact, on occasion the spicy salt accord has made me sneeze. While salt is the first note that greets us, the green note/cypress is there along with a tonka sweetness. The green nuance is present for the life of the fragrance, supporting the spicy salt and tonka bean sweetness. I wouldn't say this is gourmand or caramel candy. It's fresh spicy, sweet, and very musky. And I will say it is somewhat powdery. There has to be an unlisted ambroxan note that has been stripped down as to not stand out as the original Kenzo Power.

This reminds me of 2am Kiss.

I have only tested this in hot, late summer weather... I'm kinda excited to see how it will perform in crisp fall weather and frigid winter air.

Cris<3frg

For me is not similar to Olympea (that I have in my collection). Maybe 10%, but don't buy it thinking that is a dupe or something. In the opening is masculine, but very nice and sexy, then after 10 minutes changes in something sweet, salty, a bit fruity (like plum or juicy green grapes) keeping that masculine edge, but for more sexiness than in the beginning. Amazing sillage and great lasting power for this price.

Bibi_S

This has been my favourite scent to wear this hot summer holiday in Greece! It's so addictive and strong, with great sillage, without being unbearable even in 35C+ degrees. It has this typical Mediterranean holiday smell, and on the first spray it has a masculine hint due to the cypress note, but soon after it blooms into this gorgeous, delicious, gourmand and expensive smelling scent. You can say it's from the same 'family' with Olympea, but they are not super similar. It was a blind buy that I definitely don't regret!

lysithea

When you spray initally all you get the cypress note which is green woody dark and deep then the tonka bean comes to the stage and remains as the star of the show. Drydown is completely salted creamy very round tonka bean. The longevity is decent but could not say it for the sillage. It sits close to my skin.

loliirain

This is quite unisex. Purchased it after watching reviews on YouTube for a summertime vanilla. The initial spray is a delicious salty vanilla. While it can be worn in warm weather, it’s still too much for the Florida summer. Silage is strong on this one, and can be overwhelming on a hot day. After a few hours it settles down and the freshness from the cypress begins to shine through, giving the fragrance a more masculine edge. It dries down to a more cozy vanilla that would be more appropriate in the fall, sexy and intimate. I do like this, but think it would smell even better on a man.

Migalex

At first it doesn’t seem very original but when I pay more attention to it I do find it original and it smells delicious. It smells to me very gourmand, of sweet caramel. But then I detect what is probably the salt note, like a knife cutting through the sweetness. Funnily enough, if I think of it, that note does smell salty. I read other people referring to a salt note in other fragrances but had never really smelled it. Well, I do smell it in this fragrance.it does have a twist. It makes me think of a sharp, cold, fresh knife blade coming out of a sweet caramel pudding. To me, probably one of the very best Kenzo fragrances. I like it much better than Kenzo world.

MrAbbas

Nice salty sweet scent but I am kind of expected more. The 1st time i tried it at store, I was so impressed but when I bought the 30 ml bottle later, I was underwhelmed. Not a great performer on my skin. Its that sweet salty thing that left me a bit lacking. Not bad and teh price is a bargain but thats it. I feel kenzo loves this salty touch in his scents. Its OK at best.

eau de cocoa butter

Dare I say this perfume has made me love a salty note? This fragrance is creamy and warm and cozy. Everything about Kenzo World Power is inviting and has potential to be worn during hot and cold months. I hate the bottle but the juice inside is undeniably sexy. This is well done!

Madyana

Much has been written about this, yet I would still like to mention that drying this is definitely one of the best vanilla / tonka scents I have ever smelled, and it also really lasts! I would also recommend this to Men too.🤩

Coriemulvey

This is the strongest fragrance I own. It is such a strong scent. I love it. It reminds me of 80s and 90s fragrances before everything got really watered down. It smells like Chloe Narcisse to my nose… yet this fragrance is still very modern. It certainly is a powerhouse. This fragrance is salty and sweet, it not a green scent so don’t let the cypress confuse you. I purchased this for 30 bucks from a questionable seller who had negative reviews. I was pretty sure no one was making counterfeit kenzo WP.. I truly believe if the listed notes explained this fragrance for what is actually is… this would have been a bigger seller.

ELB78

I’m really enjoying this juice. It is those main accords... aromatic, SALTY, woody and vanilla. Really great and I’m going to be wearing this a lot during the summer. It’s hard for me to find summer fragrances I get excited about because I love my fall/winter ones so much, but this is one I’ll be gladly reaching for.

grapefruit352

Wow, Illuminati symbol- a Horus eye and the name "World power"..thats impressive and so straight forward..Nothing to hide..right:))
The perfume is good, feminine, not boring. Longevity is good too. Could be easily recommended.

Seaworthy

KWP is subtly sweet but oh SO SALTY! It must be the cypress that amps up the salt note here. It has been a little hard for me to get past the top but once it dissipates (about 10 mins) it's beautiful for warm weather wear. It lasts for hours on me as well!

theymightbejenny

Based on the accords listed here, I thought I would like this. Cheapie hidden gem material, perhaps (plus, I highkey love the eyeball bottle). Unfortunately it didn't work out. Don't know if I'm just anosmic to it, but I don't get any of the woody notes. It first hits you with the aromatic cypress which is a little sharp and sneezy - I can understand why folks don't like the opening. But it fades pretty quickly and dries down to a sweet, amber vanilla accord. The salt is definitely there, but this to me is predominantly sweet and vanillic, and maybe even a bit floral? Honestly, it smells exactly like when you walk into the cosmetics area of a department store. It's very "perfumey." Femme, a bit old-school, headache-inducing. The kind of thing that would make a tomboy scoff at the notion of perfume, only for them to come around years later when they figure out that not all fragrance smells this way. (EDIT - I now realize this is simply what tonka bean smells like - ambery/vanilla/floral) So yeah, not for me. The performance seems pretty good though, and you don't need much. If sweet vanilla ambers are your thing and you're interested in idea of adding a twist of salt, you might like it.

lickroicevanille

It's in my top scents for a reason. It's one of a kind and works amazing with my skin. I prefer wearing it on sunny days with a light dress, reminds me of a salty beach and heat, being barefoot in the sand. I can understand people saying it resembles sunscreen, but only a bit. For me it's a salty, sugared lemonade which dries down to a... custardy floral. Cream soda, salt and fresh air and something green. It's fresh but warm, not gourmand, I think it's the woody and ambery notes which makes it this way, warm. But not warm as cosy, but warm as sunny and cheerful, beach, sun, waves, just HEAT. This probably makes little sense. I can smell some lillies (?) and something "cold", it's like a breeze of fresh air when laying on the beach in the sun & having a nice coctail. Fresh flowers but with warm tonka and salt, the salt here makes a HUGE difference and defines the whole fragrance, but it'sno way marine. There is a lot of vanilla, but not the mainstream type sweet vanilla, it's not as sweet, as I said this is a savoury salt, at least in the beginning. Later on it melts into the skin and you get the sweetness. It last for hours on me and develops from sweet salt to green and vanilla to salty, heated skin and this vanilla custard if I sniff it closely. It's a suprising one, definitely not mainstream, hence it never got popular and I never heard anyone really talking about this... i love this scent to bits and have backups of it.
The similar fragrances listed I don't agree are similar at all. Olympya PR is much warmer and less original than this scent, heavy on honey, less salty than Kenzo Power! Olympea is very nice, but defo more powdery and mainstreem. Kenzo Power has a lot more better sillage and less "sunscreen" than Juliet has a gun or Floral Street Arizona which fades on me within 5mins. I really don't have anything in my collection which smells like Kenzo Power or works with my skin the same way.

I have one word and it´s LOVE! Something little cool but a little warm at the same time. First spray is always little bit strong and gives me feeling what the heck is this, but after 10-15 minutes it becomes nice symphony of salt, wood and vanilla. (My brother also likes this and he smells vanilla right away when I wear this). It lasts all day long and gets stuck on my clothes and in the buss I always put my nose to my scarf and just sniff it the whole 30 minute ride to work. I have been using this for about 6 months now and it became my signature scent!
And usually two sprays is enough.

Joani_Cheddar

FOR THE LOVE OF SALT! Sexy cypress salt fragrance. This fragrance made me infatuated with salt fragrances - at one point my fragrances became bloated with these scents. Took a water pill, drained out my stash - and this one made the cut. I actually like this better than Olympea (which did not make my cut, even tho the flankers did). To me, this is distinctive, sexy and most of all salty. --but be aware, initial spray smells like you accidentally sprayed on a mens fragrance.

igalmusic

I am glad I have only ordered sample first... it's nice but nothing special, not very long lasting either...I much prefer Reveal and Olympea!

Kiti89

Took a while but I really like this. Opens up like a typically masculine scent before drying to a sweet marine fragrance. If that makes sense. Trying to stop myself from saying it smells like a sweet aquarium (oops! I said it) but that's honestly the thoughts that I had.

After a while the Tonka bean comes through and it sweetens up but not thaaatt sweet. It holds on to a lot of its woodiness and aromatic qualities. Wonder if that'll change in summer though.

I did think it smelled just like "perfume" at first and if I don't pay attention, I still get that vibe. But it's nice. Can't wait to order a bottle.

rosey_nosey

This smells too masculine for my taste. I'm guessing it's the cypress? I got this as a gift, so I'm kinda stuck with it. It's definitely a strong one. I will use it to layer and add spice to my florals.

Update 1/31/21: This is magical layered with fruity/sweet florals. I've tried it with D&G the only one and dior jadore in joy and it boosted the longevity and added a beautiful depth. I've even grown to enjoy this on it's own. This is an underrated gem!

I'm in love now

qofb

Mmm, this is good! It's a clean, slightly salty, warm vanilla. Not cloying at all, this is simple but good. I think this would be best in cooler months. It's going on my list.

It's nothing like Kenzo World at all! Why is this a flanker? Maybe because World has a slight saltiness from the ambroxan and World Power has salt? I'm really not sure that's enough of similarity for them to be flankers though! If anyone knows, please enlighten me.

Jacquis

Kenzo World Power is a gorgeous salted vanilla perfume that smells lovely in the fall and winter. Too sweet in the FL heat but gorgeous in the 2 months when the temperatures finally go below 60F. I've tried other salted vanilla perfumes but found them nauseating. Kenzo World Power has that cypress note which seems to cut the sweetness (just a touch) and take it in another direction. Longevity is amazing. Lasted for days on my sweater. I really appreciate that. In the dry down, there is a resemblance to Womanity.

(Update: scratch the following paragraph, I got full 30ml bottle and nothing like this happened, I guess it was because of the sprayer of my travel size bottle.)

I don't know why, but the first spray irritates my nose a lot. If you went to an old attic with a lot of dust and start cleaning but you get suffocated so you put a mask but particles still go into your nose. Yee it feels that way : D

Otherwise I love the fragrance Afterwards, salty caramely tonka mmmm

Edit February 2023 my nose changed and this doesn't smell the same way it did before, what a bummer that change ruined almost all my favourites for me

SapphireSun

When I heard it only had 3 notes Salt, cypress and tonka bean I thought it would be weird and I wouldn't like it much. My God was I wrong, it's definitely unusual but I absolutely love it. I think the bottle is beautiful and the perfume such a deep gold colour. I personally think the 3 notes have been done very well together and it has great longevity. I can understand why people may not like it, it is definitely different and unusual but this quality attracts me to. With so many perfumes being to sweet or too spicy all the time it makes a change to have something inbetween. Thank you Kenzo.

Itstartedwithtinkerbell

I thought I would adore this. Instead, it smells, on my skin, exactly like when you peel open the top of a brand new tub of play-dough. That vaguely vanilla-ish salty smell...exactly. I do sometimes enjoy a play-dough note in scents, but this one actually makes me a little queasy. I can see how some people would like this, though; it’s unique and unisex.

brumbarche

If Sospiro's Erba Pura is too fruity for some occasions, and Accento leans somewhat masculine on some days, and you like both but they feel too aggressive to risk wearing indoors, give this one a try - it's like an ultra-rounded feminine muffled mix of the two and if you go easy on the sprayer nobody would complain. The woody base here is also very suitable for layering. Just don't overdo it, because it will overpower almost any delicate scent. Overall it's a versatile fragrance, more accepted by the broader audience compared to its bolder alternatives. I like it.

dglightblue

Aniseed or ouzo, powdery eraser, rounded sweet must be tonka, actually after a half hour it's like a version of loverdose by diesel, or lolita lempicka.

Very likeable, I'm thinking about swapping out both my loverdose plus lolita, and have this instead.

Leans powdery sweeter as it dries, clean undertone, rounded and still a bit liquorice tea/aniseed/ouzo but not boozy

seamagik

Just a note to say I can't stand this in the heat. I see it recommended for hot weather, but I find it too sweet, cloying and unappealing.

In fall and winter though, it's one of my favourites. The crispness is amplified, and I love the sweet and salty aspect. I'd liked to try the new EDT and see if it works in the heat for me.

It's woody, salty and aromatic. Very well balanced. A favourite in the cold, which is opposite others' experience. Try before you buy.

Side note: a colleague always complemented me each time I wore this last winter. I ended up giving her my bottle and getting another. Also, loathe Kenzo World EDT.

katsong

Wow I don't smell much sweetness in this. To my nose it leans very masculine. The "salty" accord burns my nose a little. It smells very unrelated to Kenzo World. The strong mineral aspect of this fragrance reminds me of Dior's Sauvage. It's not a dupe, but it gives off a similar vibe.

miryana31

Kenzo World Power found its way into my collection by an 'accident'. I was given a discount voucher for a perfume shop; they didn't stock the scent I was looking for, so I decided to try out some new products. I had sniffed Kenzo World soon after it came out and had thought it wasn't my cup of tea. However, this one is a different thing...Even though the opening is a bit too strong and reminds me a lot of L'eau Kenzo Intense, a perfume I am not too fond of, salt as a middle note transforms this one into a wonderful gem. Once the scent settles on my skin it transports me to some place classy and exotic - a cool beach bar :-) It's the perfect spring/summer scent - uplifting and sophisticated. And yes, I think it's a great unisex fragrance!

Seaworthy

I received my bottle of Kenzo World Power today and I am so excited to give it a try. I read that it was similar to CK Reveal which I LOVE. Upon first spray of Kenzo WP I did sense a familiarity. Yes, there was something that definitely was similar to Reveal there. For comparison, I am now wearing Kenzo WP on left arm and Reveal on right arm. I can say with confidence that both have that noticeable salty note but that is where their similarity ends. Reveal seems more complex, and to compare their notes that is obvious, but Reveal has a floral, iris, and pepper that defines it. Adding the ambergris to the mix makes Reveal the stunning fragrance that it is. Yes! I will call Reveal a masterpiece! Kenzo WP is beautiful as well in a more sweet, gourmand way. The tonka note in WP expresses as more of a sweet almond note here. Very faint sweet tobacco wisping waaay in the background. Truly lovely! I am very pleased with both fragrances, similar yet very different. I want to add that I am very impressed with KWP longevity and sillage. I really like this fragrance!

agate.ne

Tried this version since I love sister fragrance Kenzo World Intense. I don't have any idea what kind of scent would come up from those three notes, and honestly I am intrigued.

There is sweetness there, something heady (and mouthwatering), something familiar. Maybe that's tonka bean doing, since I feel a similarity with Versace Eros (in a way). Sweetness like this I would say fall frag, day and night, but that's my preference.

The scent is pretty heavy, it stays with you. And it builds. So don't expect too much from the first spray. Soon enough it gets more addicting after a while (though it would never be in same place as Kenzo World Intense). Actually it kinda reminds me of candied fruit I bought from some highland in my country.

Bought this because I wanna know Kenzo's fragrance line better, whether I actually like the house or just KWI. And while I don't get that love at the first spray like I do with KWI, this sweetness is pretty much acceptable (get that sweet watering candied fruit vibe).

brumbarche

Winter version of edt world. Great for layering. Just go easy on the sprayer.

Vanillastorm40

Oh my. This reminds me of exactly why I don't like salty and Marine smells in my perfumes. This is so strongly salty it's almost bitter. if somebody had this on near me, I would have to remove myself because the smell is that bad.

lmwimsatt

I have a full bottle up for swap. PM me

Vegas Pauli

An underrated gem by Kenzo and smells way more complex than the three notes listed. A sweet and salty mix that is slightly powdery, this is a very nice composition and smells niche and expensive. Evasive enough to be unisex as it doesn't scream its presence, but whispers just enough to be noticed. People are comparing this to Reveal by Calvin Klein due to the salty note, but I find this far superior in quality and way more understated.
I can see this being discontinued then having a rabid following causing the price to skyrocket. Get it now while it's available for a decent price. Thumbs way up.

dglightblue

Summer test, skin.

Salt warm powdery dusky.

I liked this better the other day, but it’s still nice, above is what I’m getting now after several hours. It’s not ick salty mind, just the amount you might add to porridge or tomato to make it sing.
Will add notes

raiza1990

Very pleasant fragrance. Different from the others from this line and from the usual offerings from designers. It’s rich, sensual, a bit masculine. It’s an interesting scent. An elegant mix between sweet and salty and herbal. It’s a positive surprise for me. It’s not a crowd pleaser, but it’s not offensive in any way.
Great choice for fall and winter.
Final note: 8,5/10

Palmer Eldritch

This is a scent that is supposed to relax you... cypress..salt...tonka bean...

For some reason these 3 notes don't blend together nicely in this fragrance.

For the first 30 minutes it's rather yummy with a faint salty tonka but as the notes settle down into your skin it starts turning rancid and starting to smell like pee.

Also I'm rather shocked at the silage votes because this is more of a skin scent with practically zero range. The original Kenzo World had far better silage.

Huge disappointment. Overall the Kenzo Line is uninspiring in regards to scent(sorry Kurkdijan) but the marketing is just brilliant... Makes it seem like these are NICHE! PAH!

Bee-young-ka

Too sweet. very glad I tried it out before buying.

If you really do love pepper/salt combos and have Reveal then unless you'd like a sweet version give it a miss.

elledeelee

As soon as I held the tester bottle to my nose, I knew I would love this and must to add it to my collection. Having always been a die hard floral girl, this is a total departure for me, but I think I might be entering my Fresh Phase. This is woody, salty-sweet, cool and aftershavey, then comes the tonka bean but it's not buttery, instead it's fresh, even watery perhaps. I absolutely can't stop sniffing it. Unbelievably strong and long lasting, two sprays will last all night and I can still smell it on my jumper a week later. It's been gorgeous in the winter but I can see myself wearing right through the year. It's been a very, very long time since I've been this obsessed.

JustSimpleThings

Unfortunately I didn't get on with this one, although I love the original World (not that this has anything to do with that one... this is totally different! the only thing they have in common is the name) and I also love Olympéa, which also has a salty note - so I thought I'd love this one for sure.

At first it was all good, I liked it when I spritzed it on my wrist.

Then the day went on I just kept getting whiffs of really dry / abrasive salty driftwood. Not that that's a bad thing, but it smelled kind of harsh and it bothered my nose everytime I got a whiff of this. Yes, I could smell the vanilla and cypress in there, but overall, it felt discordant to my nose. The notes clashed.

Despite this, I agree with previous reviewers: it is a nice, balanced composition and quite unique as well. To me, it smells more mature than Olympéa (mainly because it's less sweet).

I really wanted to like this one, but the salt(+cypress) is too much in here for me. Too much of a good thing, as they say. :(

JenniferLatifa

I can’t stop smelling myself when I wear it. I want to smell this one on my husband too, definitely unisex! Love love love this one!!!

moonrises

I buy this fragrance because I love salty perfumes and wondered about KWP. Many people think it’s similar to CK Reveal but I think they’re not very similar. To me opening of Reveal and WP is quite different. KWP is sweeter than Reveal, Reveal is saltier, musky and spicy. Also, KWP is more unisex. The only similarity between them is salt note and after an hour later they smell a bit similar. That’s all. In short, I can tell that I like KWP.

drawingmaniac35

I have been testing this one since the summer. Here are my thoughts:
-beautifully unisex
-simple but not
-kind of sexy, kind of provocative but not in a loud way
-good lasting power on my skin with a rather small sillage which makes it perfect for every day
-all-year-rounder for me
Verdict:
I am currently trying to persuade my boyfriend that we need this as a shared scent-that's how much I love it.

lulu169

this is nice and perfectly unisex. I happend to smell it on several (straight!) men and it was perfect. very modern for guys, not so sexy on girly girls like me, too bad.

corkscrewcurly

I bought this blind (will I ever learn?), as I was as intrigued by this as I was by the original; I love that advert!

I own - and like - CK Reveal and there are definitely similarities with KWP; BUT the notes listed both here and elsewhere on the internet smell incomplete to me. On Kenzo's website the perfume is described thus: "The lightness of the peony is embraced by the deeper notes of Egyptian Jasmine. The captivating Ambroxan® brings the perfect finishing touch to this self-confident women style." This is actually the description of the original World, and I suspect the powers that be at Kenzo may not have edited their site correctly (and WP is advertised as being flower free...) but there is a woody edge to World Power which cannot be attributed to cypress, sea salt or tonka.

I'd swear there's sandalwood and Ambroxan in this perfume.

Whilst I like Kenzo World (and don't understand why it is so generally reviled), I love World Power; its sillage is huge; spray with caution!

If you like Reveal, World Power is dissimilar enough to justify owning both.

angienotesjunkie

It was a dry hot day when I first tried this. It was really nice, refreshing, well balanced and not too sweet. Now that we're heading into autumn, this has IMO gone from nice to beautiful. I could see this working as a mens fragrance too. I think male body chemistry would bring out the fresh aromatic cypress more.

There is something about the sweet, slightly nutty, creaminess of tonka that I find intoxicating, comforting and addictive. The aromatic cypress and salt enhances the tonka in a wonderful way. To my nose there is a hint of warm amber in the mix too.
2 sprays creates a nice aura that projects around arms length. Impressive staying power too, 10+ hours.

Definitely deserving of a place in my collection.

erikatiffany

Simple, straightforward, and completely enjoyable. Three notes that are all present and well balanced with one another. The salt contrasts beautifully with the tonka, and the cypress keeps things from getting too edible. Like the warm rays of the sun hitting a cool forest, World Power has a fresh yet glowing, radiant character. Very pleasant and I feel it will really shine in the winter months.

zmuciamareto

The more I smell it, the more I love it. What a beautiful scent, I can't imagine it ever getting over it, as it often happens with sweet or heavy perfumes.
The salty notes and tonka are a great combination here.

genny17

When I tried it, it was hot in Paris and I quite enjoyed it...now the salt note is quite present, and it distracts a bit from the floral undertone...now back in Canada, thinking of the snowy months ahead, I don't think it would work in colder weather...so I might revisit next spring...I liked it, I found it interesting, on the other hand, I didn't spend enough time with it..but I thought it was better than the other versions.

ViouAmara

I tried it in the store ( thinking: oh, new vanilla pack?) and… really enjoyed it!
I am a big fan of salty notes without marine, like aqva divina, reveal or Womanity.

I found it well balanced, deep, with a special longlasting fusion vibe. A earth-and-sea composition, the first where I agree the « World » could be, in this kenzo line.

A kind of yin-yang feeling.

It is now on my want-list ! :-)

femme unique

For me, World Power is a variation of the Womanity fragrance from Maestro Mugler, the same blend of sweet and salty in one bottle, the perfume is hard to put on notes.
Womanity is by far the most interesting fragrance in its disclosure and cycle, innovative for its creation time, I understand everything, I appreciate it as a work of art, but for me to wear it is simply unbearable. And the yellow eye of World Power is very comfortable and pleasant for me.
I can't say that I really fell in love with this new Kenzo fragrance, but I will wear it with pleasure, understanding the nuances of the sweet-salty perfume fusion cuisine.

masako_30

I received a sample with the last purchase, and this is my opinion.
Approaching my nose where I sprayed it I have the perception of feeling one note at a time, alternately and with random repetition.
Overall the aroma that spreads to my movements, of which I remain wrapped for many hours, is a warm aroma of skin burned by the heat, the sun and covered with saltiness after having spent many hours in sea water.
I think this flanker is very different from the previous ones, I could consider it a perfume in itself and, just like the others, worthy of positive note.
I like so much the type of salinity that emerges from this bouquet which is not at all flowery, sometimes a bit masculine in the nuance of cypress and sometimes softly sweet.

Lauren528

Is this anything like air di gioia?

TalyaTalks

I tried it and I liked it! I’m going to buy it. Need to try Some more before I can make a more extensive review...
