Lumoava

I bought the deodorant and it smells very good. I'm reluctant to buy the edp for the large bottle, though. Why can't the company just sell all of their perfumes as 30 ml bottles also?! Frustrating.

Chrisandra

I bought this for 5 euro and it's a great scent.
No alcohol opening for me, decent sillage and longevity (at least 4 hours, depending on the season).
I don't have Poison Girl so I can't compare, but it's an excellent value for the price.
Somebody wrote that Yes I am from Cacharel smells better and is a better value fragrance.
In my country, Yes I am is (75 ml) is 10 times more expensive than Fleur de Femme (100 ml) and on my skin, its longevity is quite similar to the La Rive fragrance.
Together with Taste of Kiss (Tresor Nuit dupe) and Eternal Kiss (Scandal dupe), these are good quality frags at unbeatable prices.

Laoire

There is something about this fragrance that reminds me of Britney Spears Fantasy Intense. I pulled this out to use for autumn and was immediately reminded of Fantasy Intense. I think this one lasts longer on skin and I think I enjoy this one a little bit more.

Anamargarita

Not my cup of tea way too mature scent

VanillaaManiaa

This is cute, it’s not as refined or sensual as Dior Poison Girl edp, doesn’t last anywhere near as long as the Dior either but is pretty good quality for the price - lasts about 4 hours, -around 7-8 on clothes. Keeping this in my collection to spritz in my outfit on days I wear PG. I get cherry in this, which is not present in Poison Girl, and if this just had more depth- tonka and vanilla I would replace my beloved Dior in a heartbeat for this price!

The weather has been temperate (57-77 drgres F) and humid for the last few days and I have loved wearing this fragrance. It is fruity yet not cloying and has the perfect amount of presence in this weather. I have had this for many months and not worn it much as it just wasn't the perfect time for it. Now is and I am loving it.

Having not tried Poison Girl I can't speak to its similarity, but Fleur de Femme is a beautiful fragrance in its own right.

Mystery Elixir

Lovely fragrance with surprising longevity and sillage for the price!

I sprayed this on a knitted sweater and could still smell the frangrance when I took the sweater out of the closet again several days later. So yes good sillage and longevity, especially considering that I only paid around €9 for it!

The scent is comforting, sweet and soft. I don't have poison girl so I'm not able to compare. What dominates the fragrance is a nutty play dough like vanilla on a background of cherry and a very soft powdery rose/patchouli. Probably mostly an autumn/winter scent but I've also worn in on cold spring days and it suits this too.

To me this fragrance fits the light academia aesthetic. It brings to mind old books, vintage globes and a typewriter. Sitting at the window of an old literary cafe with a cup of tea whilst it's raining outside, wearing a cream cable knit sweater and brown plaid trousers. Wandering through museum corridors lined with white marble busts, ivory, linen and parchment.

mhubbard1961

I like it. La rive perfumes are hit or miss but this one is quite ok. Sweet, cherry, vanilla. Nothing ground breaking. At this price you can afford to spray extra if needed.

Tessbes

I don't like it, there's something sharp to my nose.

Selling mine on Vinted for peeps in Europe

Nil.svm

This smells great! It is not as complex as Poison Girl and has a more cheap vanilla and an alcoholic start, but I love this anyway. Sad that it doesn’t last long, even with lotion/vaseline ;( I would say it’s still worth the price tho

simpa256

My girl hated this on strip. Too sour. But when she put it on skin... no alcohol, no sour, just a smooth fruity vibe and such a lovely vanilla I havent smelled in a long time. This gets into something totaly different on her skin to the point that it isnt the same fragrance. And we both love it. Is it similar to poison girl, yes very much so. 95% similar. Where it is different... lasts less, more cherry than dior ans leas smoothm less quality tha dior.

unrealgirl

i dont see why everyone is comparing it to poison girl??? i have it and it doesnt smell like that at all.
the opening is a nice cherry scent, but alcoholic at first and it dries down to a pleasant almond vanilla.
longevity is actually good, just the sillage isnt the best.
ive worn it to sleep and could still smell it after waking up!
today i sprayed it on me at 7 am and i think i smelt it till 2pm. :)
since i love cherry perfumes i really like to layer it with another cherry-based perfume to really get out the cherry note.

for this price (4-8$) this fragrance is a bomb! doesnt smell as cheap as it is <3

Heliga

3.5 stars. This smells like what it is, a cheap version of Poison Girl edp. The drydown is really similar, but like most La Rive the opening has a harshness that is not present in the original (alcoholic, sour, acrid and quite off-putting). The balance of notes isn't a perfect copy the original, but close enough. As long as you're not planning to sniff this within the first couple of minutes of spraying, or with your nose pressed against the skin, it is actually pretty nice. Dior's Poison Girl is nice but not interesting enough that I would want to splurge on it, this is plenty.

Other than PG it reminds me a bit of Cacharel Yes I Am, but only for the first half hour or so. I definitely prefer Cacharel, I paid just a little bit more for a 50ml bottle than I did for the 100ml bottle of La Rive, but Cacharel is so much better quality (bottle, scent, sillage and longevity). There is some overlap with Sofia Love as well, especially the parts of that scent that i don't like. I would say they are similar in quality.

mhubbard1961

OK scent. Seems to be missing the deeper and more interesting notes of more expensive perfumes. I have not smelled Poison Girl. However, I probably won't run out and would not repurchase

coffeebean83

It's about 85% Poison Girl(EDP imo because it's heavier) but with a cherry note. The cherry doesn't stand out hugely but is well blended which I prefer. This is pretty potent on me and last moderately(6-8hrs). In my tier of top la rive fragrances this is #2, after Eternal Kiss and before In Flames. And Taste of Kiss comes in 4th. Those are the ones I'd always repurchase. Their others are hit & miss. Fleur de Femme is a steal for the price.
*One thing that I want to note is that, from my experience, the La Rive fragrances work better after they're been initially opened, sprayed and then left to sit for a least a few weeks. On most of them the intensity and performance tends to grow stronger as time goes by.

Sully92

Wow what a fantastic little cheapie, this doesn't smell cheap at all.
At first this smells super gourmand, like a cherry bakewell. There is a tiny touch of spice coming from somewhere but I'm not sure which note it is. It could be the patchouli but I don't really smell patch in this at all (I'm not a huge fan of patchouli).
As it drys down it starts smelling like cherry almond lotion, really sweet and creamy.
Performance is fantastic, I can put some on before bed and still smell it on my skin in the morning.
About 85% the same as poison girl but to be honest I like this better (please don't hate me dior lovers) I find this smoother and it doesn't cause a migraine like PG does.
If you're thinking about getting it just do it, it's so good for the price!

fragrancelover222

i have a lot of bad memories with this perfume so i stopped using it but its a very sweet perfume

CRiche

I get a Scandal By Night vibe too or Pure XS minus the popcorn. I really love this for a fun/sweet perfume but I’m finding it doesn’t last long sadly.

jocing

Wow, what a surprise! Fleur de femme smell like the opening of girls of now almond blend with scandal by night Jean Paul Gaultier atmosphere, it close to scandal by night when fleur de femme project to the air.

What so impress about fleur de femme is that you can wear this in office or daily wear. You are allow to control the times of spray to get the effect of girl of now and more spray to get scandal by night vibe.
They smell sexy.

The projectivity of Girl of now and Scandal by night are too strong can cause my nose in pain just only 1 spray. It was too strong and human nose can get very sensitive. I clearly understandable, people pay a bigger price for performance.

Fleur stay on skin longer and on cloth are even softer depend on how many spray you control.

Overall, I love this!

_jenevieve_

Fleur de Femme is a great love of mine. One of the best in my 100+ bottle collection. I got it when I first started collecting, thinking if I liked it I’d get Poison Girl. I did, but sold Poison Girl once I had both of them. I kept Fleur de Femme, I like it better.
I’ve had great experiences with La Rive as a perfume house. I’m a big fan of this, Taste of Kiss, and Eternal Kiss (get that one if you want the Scandal! scent profile). Plus, their fragrance names crack me up. Worth every penny.

Edit 5/7/23:
The bottle I own has deepened in scent and has improved longevity after owning it a couple of years. Also, I’ve a memory attached to this scent.
When I was little, I had a Strawberry Shortcake doll that would blow scented kisses when you pressed her tummy. The dolls’ name was Peaches ‘n Cream, and every time I spray Fleur de Femme I think of her.

censoredporcelain

It's ok. When I first sprayed it smelled like medicine but then it started to smell like an old lady perfume. The dry down however is very nice. I still don't know how to feel about it. Since it's summer i'll wait until the weather gets cooler to try this out again but or now it's just ehhh.

unicorn1

This is the 3rd La Rive perfume I have bought as a blind buy to try based on the reviews as I love cherries and vanilla. The smell of this is delicious, cherries and almonds and also some vanilla! I only hope that the fragrance lasts on my skin longer than the other ones and if it does I would definitely buy this one again.
EDIT: LOVE this and would definitely buy this again. sooo yummy!!

Burgundy Jayde

Youtuber 💗Maria Collett recommended this perfume if you have not subscribed to her please go ahead and go on to YouTube and subscribe to her she is so sweet and so I immediately went eBay and bought it for less than $15. I cannot believe how much this perfume reminds me of ICI by Coty perfume ( the Ici bottle even has a 🍒 cherry as the cap and the notes are similar. It's a balmy, nutty intense pleasant cherry vanilla 🍦gourmand sweet and a tad spicy but beautiful and light...a true sexy and seductive scent. 🖤And I absolutely love the bottle it looks so pretty on my vanity. I love the colors of the bottle there's just something so beautiful about ombre. I do agree that this perfume smells a tad like 🕊Jergens lotion but in the best way possible. The longevity is very good for this inexpensive perfume. I can wear it for about 6 hours without needing to reapply it. I really really love this perfume a lot I'm very happy to have it in my collection.

marilyn62

This is beautiful!! I have seen posts where people are saying that this perfume reminds them of the Jergen's Cherry and Almond lotion and I must say, i agree! But to me it smells like the lotion when I first put it on, that really luscious cherry and almond scent (with a little vanilla) before the lotion dries down and smells all powdery. I have the Jergen's Cherry and Almond body wash too and this smells exactly like that to me. I get a lot of sweet vanilla and almond when this perfume dries down and it's so lovely!! What amazes me even more is that this perfume is such a good value! If this baby lasts all day on me she's going to be in my top favorite perfumes! HIGHLY recommend if you love cherry almond syrup scents!

Editing to add that this did last ALL DAY on me!! I sprayed three sprays at 6am and when i got home around 4:30pm I could still smell this gorgeous baby sooo good! This is a new favorite of mine!! HIGHLY recommend!!

AuraAngelMuse

This smells so good for how cheap it was. Immediately I thought of Elie Saab Girl of Now Shine. That's the only one I've had within that range, and to me this smells basically the exact same. It was really strong upon first spray. It's a very syrupy cherry and vanilla but something reminds me of pineapple cake, just like Girl of Now Shine. If the longevity is good, I'll probably purchase this rather than GONS, simply for the reduced price tag. I'll update at a later point when it comes to the longevity.

janet.3

Cherry Almond! And reminds me of Jergens lotion after it has dried down and settles in. That's not a bad thing since I like the way that smells. I've never smelled Poison Girl, so I can't compare. Overall, a good buy!

correspondencepersonal

This perfume is one that a lot of fragrance gurus really love... they go ON and ON about this perfume and how similar this is to Dior's Poison Girl. (I have not tried Poison Girl, so I can't compare this perfume to that).

You are really going to like this if you like the notes of cherry and almond. It is pretty good if these two ingredients are YOUR THING. This is ok, it isn't bad - but it is just not a perfume that I resonate with. I think I had too much cherry cough syrup early on to like having that note in perfumes.

This kind of has a cola quality to it, as if they are mimicking the blend of root beer, Dr. Pepper, or a cola of some type.

Some of you will absolutely LOVE this -
Try it if you really like or love Almond and Cherries!

-------------

Silage and Projection - I'm still testing this - this perfume performs extremely well. This is a modern perfume with almost the same potency and projection as the 1980's perfumes.

I do not like the almond/cherry mix, it just isn't my thing - but if this strength were a perfume with ingredients that I really love, then this would definitely be a perfume strength that would catch my attention. I would be much more likely to purchase this with this same level of silage and projection.

I'm still testing this for longevity.

-----------

The performance on this perfume is excellent - this lasts a long time.

Although mentally, I'm having a hard time believing that I actually like almond and cherries, this is MUCH BETTER ON - than what I thought initially. I've got to be honest, this one has taken me by surprise. This perfume is definitely growing on me - simply because this performs more like the perfumes from the 80's and early 90's.

Oddly enough, there are moments with this - where this smells like a lighter version of Nina Ricci's - Ricci Ricci which tends to smell like a candle shop around Christmas time. I LOVE that perfume! Ricci Ricci was my first perfume experience with the note of rhubarb, which I totally LOVE in Ricci Ricci.

This smells so much like Ricci Ricci that they could be sisters, most definitely.
Ricci Ricci is slightly more refined and polished - and La Rive Fleur is a bit more expressive, flamboyant, and bold. They are similar enough to be sisters or possibly cousins...they are definitely in the same family.

Dry Down Phase - La Rive Fleur is IDENTICAL to Nina Ricci Ricci Ricci... I'm testing these side by side now. Both are really GREAT ON! Wow!

From my memory, this is also quite similar to Kim Kardashian's True Reflections perfume, only that one leans more chocolate in the dry down phase.

strawberrystar

This perfume is amazing!!
The initial spray smells like Azzaro Wanted Girl to my nose, and the dry down is exactly that of Poison Girl! I own and love both of these fragrances and I never really got the comparison between the two, yes they are both very sweet, but that's all. Fleur de Femme is a combination of what I like about these two fragrances, and the price is unbeatable!! Projection and longevity are really great, even better than those of other more expensive fragrances I own.
I love everything about this perfume, and it is such a steal!!

The first week I wore this, it was simply amazing. Now it becomes sooo powdery on me, and it does smell cheap. It also does not last as long. I don't know what made the scent change, but I will keep wearing it, I still like it.

Stteeepph

85% similarity to poison girl. It's so good! I could wear this everyday! Very sweet gourmand. It smells like an almond powdery cherry syrup MMM!

Bigsly

The first hour or so is a bit crude, but this comes together almost perfectly and I can't believe how good it is. It's a thick, powdery, rosy, patchouli/gourmand (with a touch of cedar). I can't speak for what others are looking for, of course, and I know it's targeted at women, but a few sprays of this and I'm thinking I've got a niche bottle that should cost a few hundred dollars for less than $10 per 90 ml. It's also strong and long lasting. This is why I like to blind buy very inexpensive fragrances. My success rate is quite high and I can always just give away, swap, or sell as a lot the ones I don't like (and I don't give a second thought to buying niche scents these days, even if they are discounted substantially, what's the point?).

fanntonyoscar

I wanted to like this so that my perfume expense might be reduced, but alas… there is a significant difference between the majority of high dollar fragrances vs inexpensive fragrances, as much as I wish this wasn’t the case. A well-trained nose can tell the difference. It dries down to synthetic sweet florals and patchouli. Regrettably, it’s a hard pass for me.

Tt777

2nd blind buy from this house and I’m very pleased! I have used up a decant of hypnotic poison and didn’t want to spend the money for a full bottle so I purchased both this and sweet hope also by la rive after reading good reviews.

This opens really strong and bold and i pickup on the bitter almond which is strong to me in hypnotic poison. Ive never smelled poison girl but find that I small the hp DNA here and can’t believe I only spent 12$ for a fb. This is sweet and fruity and ideal for colder weather.

The dry down is a soft vanilla that is lovely and cozy. I’m getting about 4 hrs of wear time. This fragrance isn’t linear. Different notes shine during different phases.

I’m going to layer this with sweet hope ( which I think is a light version of hp ) this one has the punch I felt sweet hope was lacking as a dupe for hp, however it is a wonderful fragrance on its own when not considering it as a hp dupe:)

RaggedyAnne

Wearing this beauty today, really enjoying it. It's definatly a winter perfume, much too heavy for summer-
I did have a small sample of Poison Girl and I definately do think it's the same, maybe those of you who have Poison Girl will not agree, but it's close enough for me. It's very long lasting too, this is a winter favourite.

AubreeRichelle

I could not wear Dior Poison Girl EDP because it smelled like extremely sweet play-doh. In this fragrance I can really smell the almond & cherry. It is quite pleasant and definitely worth the money.

Mikejla79

It was a blind buy for me and I liked it right away but it was still summer so I waited for colder weather and now I loooove it. It seems to be that it got a bit sweeter even by sitting on the shelf for few months. I love the sour cherry, it is sweet and warm and sexy. And for the price, it is amazing.

Layoon0808

I really really like it. Can't stop smelling it!
To me it's like a very well put together marzipan that exudes confidence and seduction. I would definitely recommend. Deserves every penny >.

sparklyunicorn

This one is very sweet, but I like to layer it with Sweet Hope and it is really nice that way. I think that this combo is more enjoyable to me than the original poison girl because that one was too cloying and sickly sweet and was not a hit with those around me lol.

kyuri.16

I saw a lot of good reviews for this perfume so I blind bought it. I sprayed it as soon as I could and I was hit by a really strong old lady smelling perfume which left me really disappointed. I sprayed it on last night all over me so I could see if it lasts and if the dry down is any good. And I must say, the dry down is amazing for the price! It smells dreamy, elegant, sweet and I just can't stop smelling it. I've noticed that with La rive perfumes, when you spray it it's really nose stabbing and synthetic for a bit, but it gets better later. All in all its pretty good for 4€

beepbeeplettuce

Cherry cola with almondy twist. Deliciouso

theuntrainednose

I have a decant, thanks SailorV!

I don't know how Poison Girl is supposed to smell, so I will review this fragrance on its own merits. In my experience, a strong vanilla-ish sweet scent with musk, mixed with a vaguely artificial cherry note that lends it a hint of bitterness. The mix makes me think of some kind of either cough syrup or a fizzy drink with a vague cherry note.

Not bad in itself, though these notes really show that it is a budget fragrance. This is not the creamy vanilla from the Shalimar fragrances, it's a much more screechy vanilla, almost overpowering, and the cherry is not that succulent sexy boozy cherry note you can find in La Petite Robe Noire. Unfortunately, I don't get the almond note.

I find it OK. It does not smell bad to my nose, it's just not much to my taste.

To retry on a cooler day, it may perform differently.

catastrophycat

I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. It was a blind buy for me, and I was interested because I like cherry scent and the apparent similarity to Poison Girl and good reviews thrilled me. But I got very disappointed as with the first spray I got punched in the nose with sickening sweet and synthetic total old lady jasmine. I do not know where top notes went.
That is, when I got that a couple of weeks ago. And everyday I spray some of the perfume on, trying to get past the initial spray and trying to like this perfume. It is not as good as I thought, but I think the drydown sweet powdery vanilla tonka bean and me are bonding, I think. Either way, summer is here and I would not wear it in hot weather as it is still a bit sickly sweet, maybe I'll put it down until late fall and see how it smells then. For now, only "ok".

Gellert77

Just a short observation:

Sprayed on cloth, e.g. on a sleeve/scarf/collar it does resemble the almondy vanillic side of Poison Girl EDP. Also has quite an impressive longevity on clothes: 2-3 days. (!)

But, sprayed on skin, opens up quite quickly to a scent of its own: cherries, flowers, with a a slight citrus touch. Unfortunately fades quite soon, leaving a soft vanillic base. Won't last until next morning if sprayed before going to bed.

Quite a find in this price group.

Madyana

I think this is too watery grapejuicy to be compared in any way to Poison Girl. Sorry😪

NadiaJozi

A few months ago, I bought this perfume and opened it yesterday. This perfume is very good for the price you pay. Everyone compares it with Poison Girl, but I haven’t not tried that perfume and I had no initial idea of the smell of that perfume, I can only say that this perfume was very different from what I thought ... I always believed that the smell of this perfume is very fresh and naughty... but as soon as I tested it, I was surprised by the warm, dry and smooth feeling of it. That's why I want to say that if you are looking for a juicy fresh perfume, this is not the case, and while it has a moderate longevity and sillage, it is more useful in spring and autumn when the weather is a little cold. Of course, it smells like sour cherries, but this feeling is mixed with Tonka and almond fruits that are very mixed together ( a little syrupy ). For this reason, it cannot be understood very separately. In general, the scent is beautiful but slightly synthetic.

Enchanted77

Cherry almond sweetness! What a sweet, pretty perfume for such a great price!!! My expectations were kind of low to be honest (due to the low price) but what a lovely surprise! This smells as good as many of my designer gourmands and really lasts just as long as some of them too. Don’t get me wrong, the longevity on this isn’t great. My point is, the longevity isn’t great on many designer gourmands either. Then considering the beautiful fragrance La Rive Fleur de Femme is- you just can’t go wrong if like enjoy sweet fragrances. The price is so great on this, you could use it as a room freshener without guilt!! It’s easy to see why La Rive is so very popular in Poland.
BTW-I hate this has been labeled as a dupe for Poison Girl because, even though there are some similarities, Fleur de Femme has it’s own unique sweet fragrance. For a budget perfume, I think it’s gorgeous. When folks start trying to compare it to a CD perfume, of course, it’s going to get negative reviews. Try this just because you want to instead of trying to make it a dupe.

sassa7

My main review is way down below. But just a heads up. A much much lighter, more summery cherry-free, patch/cedar/tonka/peach free version of this is Ulric de Varens Varens d'Orient Amethyst. Jasmine, orange, rose and almond are common notes so you get the same effect, but with more orange and overall a cleaner more simple structure so the almond shines better. Same oriental vibe. Hypnotic Poison/Sweet Hope are orange-free so different category for me, more playful and marzipan-candy-like.

handkmommy

Update: I think if you sprayed this with La Rive Sweet Hope you would get more of a Poison Girl concoction.

This is a really nice fragrance. Ya, you’ll get a blast of alcohol if you get aggressive with it, but that’s any budget based perfume. The smell isn’t long wearing, but you can’t really expect it from the composition of notes. But, overall this is just as good as some of my other designer fragrances and even better than quite a few. The scent can hold it’s own in terms of the blend too. Nothing too sharp or misaligned. I think that anyone that likes gourmand fragrances will love this. It’s a steal.

RubyRedCancer

I really like this. It definitely doesn't have the power of PG or the longevity, but it's still really, really pleasant. I think it's still a good buy. Maybe just freshen up a bit more often.

wagners erda

I bought 6 La Rive perfumes while I was in the drugstore looking for a dupe of Hypnotic Poison for my daughter-in-law. I wore this one this morning on my walk but this is the one I like least of all of all the ones I bought. That first blast is nauseating. It must be the sour cherry maybe. It smells really synthetic and somehow has a rubber scent to it. This does disappear relatively quickly and it stays close to the skin as a kind of heavy fruit concoction. I can't really pick out any of the notes mentioned above. I have never tried Poison Girl, so I can't say if it is a successful dupe or not. I get that cheap synthetic vanilla I smell in a lot of these budget perfumes. In fact this one reminded me a lot of Viva La Juicy Gold Couture. I gave it a second try and wore it for the whole morning, but I really don't like this one much.

Edit: I am now wearing this fragrance again and the sourness seems to have disappeared. I like it much better, but it's not 'stunning' as some other peoole have said. I layered Yves Rocher Cerisier en Fleur on top of it and it was rather beautiful. It gave it more of a freshness for a summer evening. Go easy on the sprayer.

clads

I purchased this fragrance because Poison Girl isn’t easily accessible/testable where I live. So unfortunately, I can’t compare this to Poison Girl ):
On my skin, the opening is effervescent and reminiscent of cherry soda or root beer. The sour cherry note is a bit overwhelming and dominates the opening for me, even after the almond and floral notes make their appearance. I personally don’t like the first 30~50 minutes or so, as it’s very sharp and almost sickly sweet, but the fragrance gets REALLY nice when it starts to dry down. During the dry down, the sharp cherry/fruity notes finally begin to dissipate, and what’s left is a really nice blend of vanilla, almond, tonka, and fruit. I couldn’t stop sniffing my wrist.

ScentedTiger

I adore Poison Girl's eau de parfum formulation, but it is expensive. When I read that La Rive's Fleur de Femme was considered a good dupe for Poison Girl, I ordered it immediately.

Poison Girl eau de parfum and Poison Girl eau de toilette are (to me) two very different fragrances. The eau de parfum is in my opinion the superior form of the fragrance. The deep, rich candied orange burst at the beginning of the eau de parfum is not present in the eau de toilette, and the EDP has a creaminess and a feeling of substance to it the EDT lacks. As a fragrance, I do enjoy the EDT version of Poison Girl, and if a bottle of it appeared, I would happily wear it. But if I'm going to spend that sort of money on a fragrance, I want it to be potent, and to stay with me for at least six hours. Poison Girl EDP has a lot of strength and does persist for six hours or more. The EDT does not. I'm not as familiar with Poison Girl EDT, so this review is a comparison of Fleur de Femme to Poison Girl EDP.

Fleur de Femme gets Poison Girl EDP about 50% right. Which is not bad. But the way in which it differs from the genuine article prevents me from enjoying it. Fleur de Femme has sharp and bitter dark cherry/plum notes throughout that are very prominent. That would be ok if the tartness was balanced out by Poison Girl-like candied vanilla and almond notes. But the sharp, heavy nature of the fruit obscures the sweet notes. Fleur de Femme to me is a "thin" and sharp smelling fragrance, whereas Poison Girl EDP is lush and sweet and full. I really don't notice the other notes in Fleur de Femme, though there is a vague woodiness that further serves to increase the gap between it and real Poison Girl. As Poison Girl EDP is a vanilla powerhouse, I tried combining Fleur de Femme with the Solinotes Vanilla Perfume that I had picked up at Target (a very good true vanilla fragrance at a great price point) to correct the lack of sweetness. The resemblance to real Poison Girl EDP, with the addition of the extra vanilla, then increased to about 60%. Which is also pretty good.

But I had to re-home Fleur de Femme. The presence of the bottle just reminded me that I don't have, and that I miss, real Poison Girl. I kept trying differing amounts of the Solinotes Vanilla to attempt to make Fleur de Femme work, but my nose wasn't having any of it. But that's just me.

Objectively, Fleur de Femme on its own is a fragrance many will enjoy, who might really love the notes of tart dark fruit and the subdued vanilla almond notes in the background without mourning that it isn't really Poison Girl. But to me, it will never be "the real thing." I sure wish it could be, because Fleur de Femme inflicts a lot less damage on the wallet.

Jaxie23

It's OK not the worst price point was good. It stays floral sweet on my skin. Nothing to brag about. I doubt anyone would stop to ask me what I am wearing? Doesn't smell like Dior Poison to me. It's kind of boring. Bottle is pretty but nothing cherry or almond happens for me.

LuckyMommy

For me it starts out sweet, sparkling, delicious with a hint of cherry and other fruits.
As it dryes down more of the vanilla, almond and florals comes trough, and I have to say that really like this perfume.
The silliage and longevity is very good and it stays on my skin for a long time, and for the price it’s amazing.
A lucky blind buy.

PlanetGrl

I personally love that sour cherry on top, cherry notes never come across harshly to me thankfully because I love cherries. I don’t get the cloying feel that some others have mentioned, I hope when I wear this out for the first time others don’t get that feeling. Admittedly I do smell that almost sweet plastic for the first 5-10 minutes but then it goes away. The almond, jasmine, neroli and patchouli come through next, all on top of a lovely vanilla. I can detect those notes, but in my opinion they’re well blended and nothing sticks out brashly. I’ve only just gotten this today and I quite like it already, even though my partner isn’t a fan and says it smells like a grandma. This is a brand I was initially skeptical of as the prices are so reasonable for what you get. It just seemed too good to be true. I first tried In Woman and was so impressed with its quality I figured it was worth it to try another and I’m glad I did.

Astrum.Obtutus

This is good but it's definitely not for warm weather it's too much. It's so cozy and I wish it lasted longer...

kaiyaya

This perfume initially gives me a heavy Tylenol-Kids-cherry-flavor-cough-medicine type smell with how strong the cherry hits. The scent did die down rather quick though, within 20 minutes or so. Then it becomes a milder fruity, sweet smell. It can be pleasant, but works best with colder temperatures so that sweetness doesn't becomes too nauseating. All in all, I can see myself wearing this if I'm going somewhere a bit chilly like a theater or a restaurant. But if you're not a fan of that cherry-almond smell, I'd find something else.

demontia17

It does smell like poison girl but this one has cherry and its not long lasting, i like poison girl more its more deep and complex vanilla almond cake. While fleur de femme is more fresher and weaker.

purple snowflake

I'll preface this by saying that I'm not familiar with Poison Girl or Hypnotic Poison (those flankers never appealed to me after the original Poison, may what it once was rest in peace), but was intrigued by the notes and the positive reviews for Fleur de Femme.

This is a very sweet perfume. Tonka bean, root beer-vanilla bomb with a big dose of almond. The overall vibe is soft milk chocolate like powdery chocolate milk mix with an almond outline.

At first I really regretted buying it blind ($7) because the first 20 minutes were so obnoxious and I didn't like the cherry neroli combo, BUT I adore the rest of it. LOVE it. Well worth $7 to say the least, and longevity is pretty good. I just know to allow at least 20 minutes after spraying before leaving the house. This gets a 9/10 from me.

SuzanneS

If I had to say the general vibe.. its Poison girl. A bit softer and a cherry opening. It works. Poison girl can make me a bit nauseous for some reason, but this does not. Ill be reaching for this more than my PG.

It's an addiction

I am wearing it as I’m writing this review and am actually surprised to read the notes here. On my skin this doesn’t really have an opening (apart from the first alcoholic seconds), but it straight away becomes a mix of dusty chocolate with orange and almonds, supported by tonka bean and perhaps some cherries very faintly in the background. It’s sweet, but not in a juicy way, rather powdery. There’s a very slight bitterness to it, but I do not experience any sourness. On my clothes the fruity and floral notes are more prominent than on my skin.

I own Dior’s Poison Girl Unexpected, which I love, and wanted to see if I would love the regular Poison Girl just as much, but didn’t want to splurge right away, so I bought this as an alternative (as I’d rather have a full bottle dupe than an original sample size and usually La Rive’s dupes are pretty close). Girl Unexpected is way sweeter, at least on me, but I do like this one just as much and will look out for the original, as that is likely to have better projection and longevity.

SemperFlorens

O this is such a treat you’ll want a box of it!. Sweet almonds and cherries with something powdery, warm tonkabeans and I get rich chocolate underneath. Initially it seemed a bit on the heavy side for me, but I had to have it anyway. It is easier to wear than the more intense high-end perfumes this is supposed to be a dupe for. I did not buy as a dupe, I like it on it’s own. It is THAT good and just really different. Definitely a cooler weather perfume, but I look forward to it. Like the first day in Autumn when I can wear my favourite cashmere sweater again. It lasts very long and the bottle is not bad. The price is really insanely cheap.

Jocovt11

I was excited to try this, and when I first sprayed it, I was like, “wow, yum,” but then it gave me a headache, smelled so artificial, sour... I thought. I had sprayed another perfume in the room, and maybe that affected my experience. I figured I’d put it on my swap list and clicked don’t like.

I was updating my swap list, and decided to spray it once more, alone, at 1:00 am, and now it smells good. It doesn’t go sour or give me a headache. But it’s not something I’d want to smell all day. I’d dislike it if someone had on a heavy dose of a fragrance like this in a restaurant. And It’s still not the kind of scent I like personally on myself. I can tell it would be a sexy scent for special occasions.

Haha, as I write I keep smelling my wrist and thinking I want to wash it off.
This actually helped me understand what I don’t want in my signature scent. I’d never wear this regularly.

KrystalPower83

I bought this a few months ago and have worn it a few times ...it's sweet! It does smell just like Poison Girl. It lasts forever!!!!! I sprayed this on a 8am and still smelled it strongly until the late night ...lasts on garments too.
I would definitely buy more of the La Rive imitations in the future.

Magnoliajo

This is honestly better than Poison girl (edp) in my opinion. In Poison girl you get some harsh liquorice note in the top notes and it only really starts to smell good on the dry down. With this you don't get any top notes its straight to the dry down and it remains the same all the way through. Which is a plus for me. It's super sickly sweet as is poison girl but if you like poison girls dry down-that almondy very sweet heavy vanilla smell then definitely get this because it's very cheap in comparison to dior!

Morgana LaMort

Got this last week for only 2€!! (Rossman drugstore in Germany) I guess its being descontinued? For those who like it better stock up before it dissapears!
I never smelled (yet) Poison Girl so I cannot tell who similar they are, but I can detect the cherry and almond notes the most. Def a winter scent, I will be happy to wear it a Xmas time this year :-)

mmagic_conch

I deleted my first review on this. I don’t know what happened but I hated this at first. I gave it multiple wears in different conditions. It was just always too sour and tart, sharp. I’ve had it for several months now, and tried it again. Even before I sprayed it I could smell it from the bottle and I love it all of the sudden?! I’m finally getting the almond and slight vanillaness and subtle sweetness. I don’t think longevity is great, but so far hardly any perfumes last on me. This went from hate, to don’t mind, to like quite a lot! I’m excited to wear it more and see if it develops and how well it sticks.

star~kitty

RaggedyAnne,

I’m not sure where I got Black Opium. Clearly I was mistaken. Because...

I just received a bottle of Poison Girl and it DOES smell like this!

Sigh. I hope there are some nuances because I need to love this Dior 😂

Damn. I’m going to have to do a side by side (wrist by wrist) comparison. Will update. Against my better judgment I want to try Sweet Hope because I LOVE Hypnotic Poison.

UPDATE: I sprayed one on each wrist. The Dior is stronger and opens with citrus. La Rive just punches immediately into the chocolatey- cherry sweet center with no foreplay at all.

eveline marie

I need to test this one as I've read it is a good dupe of Poison Girl. Touch of Woman is, I think, a dupe of YSL's Black Opium (I read the comments below)

RaggedyAnne

Star-Kitty
I'm not surprised it doesnt smell like Black Opium, because it's actually not meant to, its always been known as a dupe for Poison Girl, and to that I can attest that it IS exactly like Poison Girl, and it's beautiful. Wherever did you read it was meant to be like Black Opium?

star~kitty

Update 9/2020

I like it. It’s a PG knockoff and not as luxurious, but close.

I wanted to like it. According to the notes and reviews, I should love it.

I hate it.

My test for fragrance is to wear it to sleep, and if it’s comforting, I love it. As I get sleepy I sniff my wrist or the crook of my elbow and it makes me happy. (Surprisingly, white floral works really well for me at bedtime.)

This, however... I just sprayed it on my wrist to give it another chance and I had to wash my wrists and hands and honestly smooth on BBW sweet almond lotion and their Tutti Dolci golden honey praline.

This smells nothing like Black Opium to me. I love Black Opium.

I wish I could tell you exactly why I hate it, but it’s just too old lady for me. I didn’t like Katy Perry’s Killer Queen, so maybe it’s the cherry. I wish I knew.

Maybe my man can pull it off; gourmands work well on him.

Palmer Eldritch

This definitely deserves ALL. THE. HYPE.👍🏼

Being perfectly honest: I lost trust in fragrantica rave reviewers after being immensely disappointed with 'Fiore del Dragone' EDP. BUT curiosity got to me again!! So I caved and purchased this fragrance...and it shook me.

⭐I want to start off by saying that this doesn't have any synthetic characteristics and doesn't smell alcoholic like most cheapies (like fiore del dragone which burnt my nostrils😒)

First spray: Extremely similar to Dior Poison Girl it's uncanny, except slightly less citrusy and more peachy. As the hours pass by that's when it starts to diverge slightly from PG...it becomes a more milky, creamy vanilla with tonka, jasmine and almond as secondary dominant notes.
Ugh and I cannot emphasise how delicious this smells, there is actually depth in this perfume.

🌟Performance is fantastic even compared to super expensive perfumes: 7-8 hours on my skin before fading away into nothingness and great projection. It won't fill a room like YSL black opium, BUT it will get you noticed by passers.

✨VERDICT: This smells more expensive than it is. Even if this isn't a full dupe of Dior's Poison Girl, this is definitely a delectable crowd pleasing scent that rivals fragrances more than 10x the price.

🔮I cannot recommend this enough, it's worth all the excitement here on fragrantica. Very sexy and classy. Well done La Rive, I will be purchasing more of your scents!

P.S. Unfortunately it has more than doubled in price over the course of 3 years. It used to be €6 now it's selling for €13 🤷🏼♀️ (price which I have bought it for)

drell1emc

when TF lost cherry launch, I notice, they (TF lost cherry and La Rive fleur de femme) both have 90% of the same notes.

PrincessPongyPearls

I blind bought this based on great reviews (although to be fair, I've never smelled PG) and simply assumed I'd like it as I tend to like most of Dior's offerings since around 2000.

So, the perfume is a reasonable price BUT I am not entirely sure it deserves all the hype. I am new to fragrantica, and by no means able to detect individual notes usually, however, on me this is full on deep, boozy cherry. It almost reminds me somehow of a Christmas Yankee candle - which I like - but which isn't something I want to smell of...I have owned another perfume that if my memory serves me correctly, smelled very similar (it was Midnight Fantasy) and I didn't like that one either; but as I was reading through reviews I was surprised that nobody else has mentioned this, and I wonder if anyone agrees?

I also get a similar vibe to Black Opium, which again, I expected to love but didn't really impress me.

Sillage and longevity was also a tad disappointing, seeing as how it disappears after an hour or so, and immediately after spraying it my son admitted that standing less than a foot away he couldn't smell it on me.

To conclude, it isn't a love for me, but it isn't a hate either and I'm sure someone else would appreciate this scent more fully.

P.S. I do tend to like sweet scents such as La vie est belle, Miss Dior, Pink Sugar etc. So I don't think this is the issue for me.

Sonyakaroliinaq

I buyed this just because of the reviews, so i didn't really know what to expect. To me it doesn't really smell like poison girl. Maybe there's some similaritys but i dont know...it smells very nice, powdery sweet and comforting. On my skin it's very soft so i have to spray it quite a few times. I mean for what it is, it's actually very good! The price was only 5,40€

Edit: This gave me couple compliments today!

Tugboat

Was hoping for a dupe of poison girl. It does share a similar almond-fruity vibe, but this lacks PG's rich, resinous character (from the tolu balsam and Tonka, I'm guessing) and the sparkling, bitter Orange. I can see how it's a good dupe for some, but the lack of depth kinda ruins it for me. Also, I get no cherry from this. The only fruit I get is peach, and this peach goes all funky on my skin, especially in the sun. If I've been outside for more than a few minutes with this, the fruit doesn't just ripen--it becomes full-on compost. D:

Still, when all is said and done, there's something appealing about this that keeps me coming back for more. I find myself reaching for this one about once a week. I guess that alone says something amazing about this, given my skin's tendency to turn Fleur de femme into a weird, fruity barn yard.

lolalee

Smells like more of a creamy candy version of Poison Girl, Poison Girl is more balsamic and this is more vanilla and fruity, I don't smell cherry specifically but it does smell like a cherry red vanilla if that makes sense.
Doesn't last quite as long as PG and it's not as strong (PG is insane on me) but it still performs really well.
I like it, currently waiting for it to go on sale again to buy it, I think this would be wonderful for summer nights!

ValentinaSbarbaro

I get the cherry first but then it evolves and I kind of feel this is an older woman's fragance.
Not sure about this yet. But I'll keep on using it until I make up my mind.

The good side is that it lasts a long time.

gtabasso

This is pretty amazing at the price point in a genre that tends to be overdone. The main notes are cherry, almond, vanilla, musk, patchouli with some florals components and sandalwood. Does this remind me of LPRN? Yes. But this is not as sweet and the almond is more dominant than the fruit. Everything is smooth. The notes are all there but not fighting and not making your teeth ache.

tec0l0te

I think that on just about anything, it's important to occasionally try things that you ordinarily wouldn't and even revisit things upon which you had a strong opinion in the past. Change is a constant and a lively curiosity is what keeps us from becoming stale. Hence, I tried this fragrance, even though I'm not fond of most of the sweet fruity perfumes that seem to be increasingly en vogue.

The Pros: The price was certainly right, at about 10USD for 50 ml. The bottle is a nice balance of classical design, being the shape of an amphora or urn with a cap like a black standard round brilliant. It nestles nicely in the hand. The sprayer delivers a respectable dollop of the liquid, with no spluttering or dripping. Longevity is everything I could wish for, since I added one spray to the inside of my left wrist and I can still easily smell the fragrance fourteen hours later. The sillage also leaves nothing to be desired.

The Cons: I have to report that this fragrance family, based on this perfume, still isn't for me. Other people in my life have frequently remarked that even sans other scent, I smell warm, comforting and snuggly, so it stands to reason that my skin chemistry amps sweetish notes in perfumes. To me, even upon drydown, this fragrance is an unfortunate combination of the smell of the toy department at Wal-Mart mashed with a double shot of Sno-Cone syrup taken neat. It is teeth-achingly saccharine and intensely fruit-fueled. It's Juicy Fruit gum taken to the nth degree. I wish I had a pre-teen ultra-feminine person to pass this to, because I think it would probably suit them admirably.

I mean no disrespect to those for whom this is Nirvana or for the company that makes it. Every fragrance suits someone right down to the ground. I intend to do some experimenting with this to see if my bag of perfume addicts' tricks can somehow make this wearable for me. If not, I'll send it off to one of our local charities. This type of perfume is popular enough that I'm sure it will be a wonderful surprise for someone.

Pooka524

I blind bought this because the price was cheap enough that it was OK if I didn't really like it. I know I shouldn't have been surprised because of all of the good reviews, but I was. The opening on me was very much like Black Opium. I was surprised. I smelled something almost spicy. That quickly dried down and I get this wonderful rose, cherry, almond, and musk. I really like it. I do not have Poison Girl and it's been so long since I tested it at the store, I can't remember. I can't say how close it is to that. It is not cheap smelling despite the price tag. No alcohol smell, no cheap notes that I pick up on. I'm normally a buyer of more expensive perfumes, but this one is wonderful. So much so, I will probably try some other fragrances from La Rive.

Update-I sprayed this around 6pm last night. It is now 6am and my husband hugged me goodbye for the day and he could still smell it. A skin scent and a bit of a trail from my hair. The longevity, even if fairly close to the skin at this point, is great.

chicagogirl

Wow wow wow...What a gem of a perfume. Yes, it smells just like Poison Girl. To me, the cherry note disappears almost instantaneously and then it's just a musky, floral, sultry vanilla. For the first few seconds it smells like amaretto cherry coffee creamer...so yummy. Another one it feels very similar to is The Body Shop Black Musk body mist. You know how some cheaper perfumes have that weird bathroom disinfectant note...I mean the imitation ones that aren't straight up counterfeits but are "impression of..." ones. Well this has NONE of those weird undertones. It smells pure and expensive. It definitely smells different than Black Opium but DEFINITELY gives me the same vibe. A sultry, dark, edgy vanilla gourmand scent with a slight kick. Reminds me of Armani Code for women too. I'm always extremely skeptical of inexpensive dupes but this really smells like a much higher end perfume for only $10. Thank you to whoever discovered this. See this is why the fragrancita community is my people! lol.

Cocotea

I sprayed this on hurriedly before I left for work and now I'm getting waves of delicious vanilla fudge with cherry. This is fantastic! I've had it for months and only started wearing this. I'm going to have to get another bottle because I foresee obsessively wearing this for the next few weeks and I don't want to run out. My second perfume from this brand and by the looks of things, there are certainly more to come. This is so good. And silage is huge for something so cheap. If you're looking to smell great on a budget I'd recommend this brand.

Konga5000

First, there is no "cherry" in this. Let's get THAT outta the way. 2) So now that they "cracked the code" for the Black Opium "marshmallow smell"-- it's EVERYWHERE - even in here....La Rive FLEUR.
So:
This is like Black Opium and Versace Crystal Noir, had a baby, and raised that baby in a Wal-Mart parking lot.
Basic shopping list of aroma-chemicals -- you've smelled this a MILLION times before. It is pretty strong -- so you get that anyway.

This just bores me and why so many great reviews ?

christinaDT

This is a beautiful, warm fragrance that's perfect for fall and winter. I bought mine for... $13 on Amazon, if I remember correctly. It's crazy similar to the Dior Poison Girl, as others have previously said. I tested both of them on each wrist and actually prefer this to the Dior. It lasts much longer on my skin (at least 7 or 8 hours) and always derives compliments from passers-by. On my skin, it is creamy, nutty, and thickly sweet (on the cusp of being cloying, but never reaches that point) from the cherry. Truly a gorgeous scent, and a total steal for the price!

tc1203

To me this is the first perfume I own that smells amazing ( the notes seem not change much) from the beginning till drying down. The almond note is very intensive here. I love to wear this on windy or cold day it warms me up.

Smh1191

First time wearing, it opens very tart and fruity which I love. A very tart cherry is why I purchased this. Its very sweet as well. Opening compares to love sofia vergara. Then it turns after some time to cedar and neroli on me. Comparable to a soft chloe love story edt. I don't love femme woody but maybe its due to the season. I wasnt expecting something with such a fruity opening to dry down to something so austere. I was hoping for a cherry almond tonka mix. It sure has value for the price but not what I was after.

Redrusty66

wow, not what I expected for the price, no chemical smell, no synthetic overtones. Sweet almond vanilla cherry and Tonka, but not too sweet, more of a dark sultry sweet. great sillage and longevity. The cocktail dries down to a pretty amazing little scent. I'm quite pleased and intend on trying out some of their other available scents that meet my note interests.

Mrs.Allard

I also agree that this is very similar to Dior Poison Girl but just slightly more sweet, almost sickly sweet because the weather is still very warm right now. It also reminds me a little of TM Angel it that it has a dominant gourmand note and a juicy fruity note alongside.

dahrling

This was way better than I could ever have hoped for. I actually prefer this to the original Poison Girl EDP, believe it or not. This one feels deeper than the original to me - and it's just as (if not more) long-lasting than Dior's version, and the silage is amazing as well. I paid around $12 for this, and for that price you could buy 10 of it and it'd still be a much better investment than the original. I recommend it and stand by it 100%, I love this!

sugaryrose

The scent is amazing! I love such kind of smells. But I'm dissatisfied with the longetivity! It lasted only about 2 hours on my skin and the sillage was good only for half an hour. Then it turned into a skin scent. I'm disappointed. The scent's amazing though.

Mbrock

This is really beautiful. I put Poison girl on one wrist & this on the other & I cannot tell the difference. Its vanilla, cherry & almond. I love it & I got a 3oz bottle for $10. Crazy. Good longevity & sillage.

mapache

Hmmmmmm.....I get more Dior Hypnotic Poison effect, and a touch of Dior Poison girl in the opening only. Another La Rive scent that goes on harsh-ish...then settles down quickly to a Dior HP "type" scent. I really like this one, so far. And great for the price.

evatgirl73.1

I don’t own Poison Girl but I have tested it a few times and like it quite a bit... not enough to splurge on a full bottle though. So this seemed like a perfect compromise! It does smell really similar (to my recollection) and that’s good enough for me.
It is a really nice fragrance, I can definitely pick out the almond, vanilla and slight touch of anise..? Might be the cherry, I suppose. It’s sweet but not in a heavy, cloying way. It feels very chic and put together, not necessarily sexy but flirty.
Longevity does leave something to desire, I sprayed at 2:30 and at 6 it is very subtle. At 8 it is still there but I have to really bury my nose in my wrist to smell anything. Don’t feel like there was great sillage but I have only tested it one time.
It is certainly a great fragrance for the price. If I had paid $100 for it, I would not feel awesome about it but it is WELL worth the $15 I spent. It’s nice enough for me to feel like I don’t need to buy Poison Girl, so I will pat myself on the back, respray after 4hrs and have money leftover to buy different fragrances..!

Kristinazaba

Nuitdenoel

Okay, so I like this perfume. It’s fun and cute. I have only smelled Poison Girl once, when it first came out, so I cannot comment on the similarities. What it does smell like to me, in the opening, is dry orange Jell-o. The kind that comes in the cardboard box. It dries down to a nice vanilla.

Longevity is fine, especially for what I paid for it. I think I paid $12 USD and it lasts about 4 hours. That’s more than some of my more expensive perfumes can say. It was a blind buy, fun and flirty. I don’t know if I’ll wear it often, but who knows, I just might.

UPDATE: FDF is a perfume who’s beauty lies after the opening. After the overwhelmingly saccharine opening, it really does dry down into a lovely vanilla/cherry/tonka. The patchouli adds depth. What an interesting perfume! The cherry is actually working for me! The only other cherry I can wear without it going sour is Modern Muse Le Rouge Gloss. Fleur de Femme is much more gourmandish. Great value for the money!

Prekrasan. Kupila sam ga jer je od testera mirisala jakna bar 3 dana. Vratila. Sam de po njega, imam ga, tako je ženstveni, divan, dogotrajan bar 10 sati

RI do not like this perfume. I wanted to love it because I was hype about being able to save money and still have a quality perfume. That stuff excites me. But while this smells same-ish to PG the difference is too wide for me.

I did the side by side test of PG and FDF and that is what made FDF crumble for me. It smelled too synthetic. (and I do not use synthetic as another term for cheap) It's like seeing Bizarro Superman. Yeah, he is a Superman but he isn't The Superman. It's just off.

In the base there is a similarity to Charlie Gold and I dislike that perfume. The peach is doing something funny and I'm not laughing. It's unpleasant and stays the whole duration of wearing. It does not last on me more than two to three hours and after the first 20 minutes it's a skin scent. And my skin does not eat up perfume like that.

Is this close to PG? Yes. Is it better? Highly debatable. I'm in the no camp. Is it a great deal? Yes. If your skin can get the longevity out of it like others on here and if you cannot smell the wonkiness in it that I do. Then buy and enjoy.

LisIrishFleur

It's interesting.
The first blast is a bit harsh & Has a strong baby wipe Scent. {Both Harsh & Clean}. But, in about ten minutes it fades into a sweet almond, cherry-vanilla & floral scent. I can't believe the silage, projection and longevity of this perfüme though. For under $15 USD. The projection is about two feet and the longevity has been four strong hours and climbing. That was only a couple sprays. It doesn't smell cheap. {Not top-shelf, but definitely not cheap}. I'm pleasantly surprised. I couldn't wear this everyday. But, on those cold days when I'm feeling cozy and in the mood for Coco and cookies. Or just need something comforting. I like it.

BTW. This reminds me more of C.Dior Hypnotic Poison, but a bit more floral. I definitely get the Geurlain Petite La Robé vibe also.

But, If you like Geurlain's: Petite La Robe, Dior; Hypnotic Poison/ Poison Girl, Jessica Simpson: Fancy, Azzaro: Twin, or T.M. Angel you'll probably like this and want to add it into your collection and rotation. Because it's very much like those types of perfumes. For a few bucks, why not?

nitink

Bought for my wife. She liked it. Exact poison copy..great perfume and great longevity and silage. Doesn't feel cheap perfume by any means.

raiza1990

When i read the reviews, i was very skeptic. I couldn't believe La Rive produced such a high quality fragrance like people were describing in the comments. I haven't had luck with La Rive scents in the past. They were all disappointing to me, but i can say the reviewers are right about this one. It is really very well made. I don't think it is a dupe of Poison Girl, but it is a nice perfume in it's own right. I get very sweet almonds and a light powdery touch. I was afraid of the cherry, because i hate cherry in fragrances and i hate sour things, but it doesn't disturbs me at all in Fleur de Femme.
FdF is a rich, sensual fragrance for the evening. A very good choice for almond fans and great value for the money. It was a good surprise to me.
P.s: it reminded me lightly of Girlf of Now.

UnearthlyApothecary

I wore Poison Girl for a full day before I wore this so I could give a good comparison review. The only real difference I could discern is a richness, a fruity depth to Fluer (cherry, peach) that doesn’t exist in PG. I am another that actually prefers this scent. The silage is as good as PG, maybe better. Here’s hoping for great longevity too!

SailorV

Fleur de Femme is one of the best La Rive fragrances and my personal favorite from that house. It can easily keep up with its inspiration, Poison Girl.

Generally I think La Rive is a good dupe brand, I haven't smelled anything really bad from them yet. But some of their fragrances smell like lighter versions of the original designer scents. This is okay, even fine in some cases, but I'm happy Fleur de Femme is not one of those light dupes, it's pretty full-bodied.
Still it's not a perfect 1 to 1 copy, and I don't think it has to be.
The main difference is that PG starts fresher and is more focussed on bitter orange and rose, while in FdF the additional deep and lush fruit notes of cherry and peach play a more important role. So it's an even warmer scent. Overall I would call Fleur de Femme creamy almond vanilla tonka heaven, a gourmand lovers dream.

Very comforting and worth more than the 5 € I paid for it.

socorrosouza

Same opinion as Charess but, on my skin, longevity is huge, 7 to 9 hors with heavy sillage for 1 hour plus 2 hours of moderate sillage.Exceptional for the price, although, like PG only wearable on cool temps (never wear this on 88 F plus days, it is obnosious as well as PG).

Charess

A nice fragrance, but it smells a little synthetic to my nose.
The combination of almond, vanilla and cherry is very nice. This is indeed a great dupe for Poison Girl, but please keep in mind that the quality of Poison Girl is way better (at least in my opinion)
The sillage and longevity are both weak.

I reviewed this in the summer and quickly realised this wasn't a summer scent for me personally. I am now back with a winter review, and I was right, this perfume is perfect & beautiful in the colder months.
I sprayed it at 7am yesterday morning, and I could smell the resemblence to Poison Girl/Hypnotic Poison....and it was a delight.
With some dupes, the initial spray smells exactly like the perfume they are trying to duplicate, but they fall flat on the changes and are often linear in that they stay the exact same smell the whole way through.....
NOT Fleur De Femme! This was gorgeous on initial spray, changing to something even more beautiful in later stages. The first notes I smell are Rose Pathouli and musk..... 2 hours later I was sitting there at my desk at work, and thinking damn....this perfume has weakened already, I moved to fetch a cup of tea and wham! The most wonderful tonka/vanilla smell arose from my body as I moved. I can liken it to LVEB in the drydown only, it has a wonderful longevity, I was enjoying this drydown for a good 6 hours more, so that made 9 hours in total until it became a skin scent. I remember trying Poison Girl last year, but I don't remember being struck sideways by the lovely drydown I experienced yesterday, and in no way did it last 9+ hours. I am not knocking PG because it was only the likeness to it that I bought Fleur De Femme in the first place.....but if you can't throw the big bucks at PG (like me), then this is a wonderful dupe, and to ME, I actually prefer it. And at £9 for 90ml....it's a no brainer.

My country’s gem! Marzipan with cherries. Crazy compliment-getter. Better than Poison Girl, which indeed is very similar. Creamy, thick, sexy, lovely in every way. Ah, yes, it also costs less than a cup of coffee.:)

This is clear, not powdery, sweet but not sugary.

Fleur de Femme starts with smooth, rich almond and tart cherry, then vanilla joins in.

(It reminds me of Elizabeth Arden's Pretty Hot, but PH never reaches a drydown - it disappears immediately; and Femme has more clarity)

Fleur de Femme slowly transitions to soft, lingering sandalwood. This is one of the longest-lasting fragrances I have.

It is lovely wearing Fleur this late autumn

Smells very similar to Bettina Barty Vanilla hand and bodylotion, but softer. For my nose it is all about vanilla and bitteralmond. Very nice perfume with great longevity! It is a heavy perfume, but smells all time good.
You can get this perfume in Germany by DM store for about 6 €.

On my skin this is not an exact dupe for Poison Girl. Not even the drydown. They do share the same type of sweetness, but no lemon in here unlike in PG and Fleur de Femme has the patchouli that adds spicyness, jasmine and the sour cherry, those are some strong notes and they can change the whole vibe of a perfume, so on my skin it turns abit oriental, sweeter, abit heavier than Poison Girl. This is like Poison Woman. Poison Girl has the orange blossom smelling like Black Opium's sweetness, the cashmeran adds smoothness, and the rose overload make it pink in my mind as I smell my arm. Fleur de Femme is burgundy in my mind. The almond is more intense in PG (Im an almond lover). The almond is subtle here, peach is more dominant, its a heavy sweet note! The playdoh smooth aromatic almond is the main reason I love PG, it makes it fresh and less serious. This is more mature than PG with a sharper essence.. no wonder they named that one Poison GIRL and not woman lol. It's def younger than Fleur De Femme. The drydown of Fleur De Femme is more white floral, the neroli adds some freshness thank God, it is a grown-up scent, warmer than PG. PG's drydown is orange blossom candied almond, youthful and powdery with the heliotrope, sweet and girly, very gourmand. Someone said Fleur De Femme can get cloying, yes it can so it performs well in cold weather. I love it and wear it also to bed, weird I know but makes my dreams sweeter lol. Orange and rose in both are a sharp contradicting melancholy twist, and that is more prominent in Fleur De Femme, amps up the heat in the winter cold! I am wearing both right now, PG on left arm, this one on the right. I love both but they belong in the same family, not exact dupes on my skin and according to my nose. PG makes me feel different too, its almondy & sweet but not heavy. FDF has way better lasting power tho. Poison Girl, the EDT now, has so much heliotrope and tonka with the orange overload that tricks my nose into smelling cherry for a minute. Both Fleur De Femme and PG EDP are balsamic which stays very strong throughout Fleur De Femme. This becomes more woody on my skin with the sandalwood and cedar, almost like pencil shavings, and the rose here is more dusty too. Im finishing my doctorate degree on these on Varens d'Orient Amethyst page lmao and Ill prolly continue on Girl of Now.

Right now I'm testing Dior PG EDP, FdF and perfume parlour's dupe of PG side-by-side. I love the smell of PG but on me it's lacks staying power but most annoyingly the sillage is gone after an hour. I asked several friends nut no one could smell PG after the first hour of applying unless they came super close.

So that's why I went on a hunt for a good replacement! What I find special about PG is the addition of rose, bitter orange and heliotrope. These prevent it from becoming a generic sugar bomb.

I got FdF for 6 euro's in Germany, a steal! It has partially different notes than PG, the most detectable difference is less prominent rose/bitter orange, more prominent tonka, no heliotrope and added cherry and peach. To me the peach is very prominent in FdF, but mind you I loathe than note. For me peach makes everything generic. FdF certainly resembles PG but it's less bitter and overall more generic. I'd say it resembles PG by 85%. I don't get much patchouli from FdF. The cherry is a nice addition though and the staying power seems decent. I'll update it once I've worn it an entire day.

The perfume parlour dupe is a much closer dupe than FdF, I'd say 98%. The perfomance and the price is a lot better that the original though, and that's why it's my favorite out of the 3.

So overall, FdF is an outstanding fragrance for it's price in one of the nicest bottles I've seen from La Rive and it's certainly is close too PG because of the shared almonds, vanilla and tonka beans. But for me it does come across as slightly less interesting mainly because of the added peach. It is still definitely worth getting because of it's price though.

I am testing a decanted sample (thank you, rednut) of FdF against an official Poison Girl EDP sample.

La Rive is a Polish brand and deserves to be widely recognised for providing some very good, inexpensive (not cheap!) perfumes, although some are undoubtedly better than others - but that's the case with every brand.

On initial spray, Poison Girl is EXTREMELY sweet and has a massive sillage. I am a huge fan of the original Poison (the 80s version). I have Pure Poison, Midnight Poison and Hypnotic Poison in my wardrobe (and two elixirs); I don't think PG belongs with the Poison range. I don't mean to offend anyone who loves PG; it is a pretty perfume, BUT - in my opinion - this is Dior's (very) generic response to LVEB, Black Opium etc. It is "nice" but there's nothing about it that stands out from the plethora of other sweet designer offerings.

La Rive's Fleur de Femme is actually a far more interesting composition. I wore it the other day and its longevity (easily 6+ hours) exceeds PG which I tried a couple of weeks ago. In fairness, I should mention I have skin which sucks up perfume; however, if your skin is NOT a sponge, you should get outstanding results from FdF!

FdF and PG have quite a few notes in common (tonka, vanilla, almond, sandalwood, rose, bitter orange), but where they diverge - and what makes FdF a better composition (in my opinion) - is the addition of peach, cherry and patchouli. I love the combination of cherry and almond in perfume; they work so well together. I think patchouli gives a far better base (yes, I know it's a middle note) as it imparts a richness to the composition; don't be put off FdF by its inclusion, if you aren't a fan - it's not a dirty patchouli, by any means. PG is far "thinner" in comparison to FdF, the sillage of which exceeds that of PG, too.

In summary: Although FdF and PG are similar, FdF is NOT a dupe. It's actually far better and is ridiculously inexpensive; I've ordered 90ml from a Polish seller on eBay UK for under £10 GBP (including P&P). At that price, it's rude not to try it.

Babyyy, this juice smells so good!!! I smell diesel loverdose, black opium, Lolita Lempicka sweet and the original one!! Maybe I should stock up!!

RaggedyAnne

This is the closest dupe of Poison Girl that I have tried. So much so that I won't be buying Poison Girl like I had planned. Great longevity, and a beautiful fragrance. I think it's more for a cool winter than hot summer, it can become cloying if used as a summer perfume, but I am looking forward to wearing this in the winter.

socorrosouza

Strong and long lasting on my skin this is the kind of perfume that is remarkable but over time can become cloying and annoying.Strong almonds with tonka with a vanilla background a noirish and night scent for cool days.Quality is very good for the price. For people who love very sweet scents, this is a must. Definitely, on my skin is quite different from Manifesto, Manifesto is a tonka citrusy perfume this is almond/tonka/vanilla/ bitter orange scent.

Yay, Deb!!!!

I'm so happy!!!!! :)

mschnabel666

Totally a Poison Girl dupe and I Love it!!! It will probably lack the airy girlie depth and longevity of Dior, but this is a total WIN!!! Get it!

For the price, I plan on a couple more as backups.

mschnabel666

You can find this for $12 on ebay. Free shipping too. I have 2 blind ones coming. I can't wait. I'm hoping for a Poison Girl dupe the way In Flames is a dupe for Olympea, and that red-diamond bottle is a Prada Candy dupe. YAY!

lulu169

hmmmm...cherry, patch, vanilla, almonds - either this is going to be a (yet another) dupe of LVEB, Sweet by Lempicka or maybe even Nina Ricci Nina Ricci? or Dior Hypnotic Poison? maybe? who knows....just wait & test!
