I’m selling a full bottle as well as 2 5ML decants if anyone is interested

Caladhiel

It's probably my inexperienced nose, but this immediately reminded me of Guerlain's Shalimar Parfum Initial L'Eau as a first impression. I'll keep testing it maybe it'll turn out to be something entirely different.

Boppidy

To preface, this is completely outside of my usual interests, but I have heard people speak so highly of this that I just had to try it!

Initially, on first spray, this is JUST baby powder and nothing else, but it very quickly transforms into something a bit sweeter. After about ten minutes, some of the citrus starts to come out and I can smell more of the sweet sugary almonds with the powdery iris on the top. On my skin it is almost a little sour in a way that sandalwood normally smells on me, but a lot sweeter on my clothes. Overall, this is primarily a powdery fragrance and I really have to shove my nose in to get the sweeter notes, but that might come down to the fact that I don’t normally experiment with iris/violet/makeup-y frags. Lasting power is okay but pretty light in terms of sillage.

ina.rem

Delicate sweetness. It whispers softly rather than shouting for attention. I would described it as a "silent low mode" perfume, staying close to the skin. Almonds add a delectable gourmand touch.

muzzbait

As soon as I sprayed it reminded me of bonbonniere or koufeta, and then is settled into florally-powdery iris that tended a little metallic in parts. That intro brought back memories of weddings and baptisms, and all of that, but aside from that, it didn’t move me, to tell you the truth. It plays femme, I must say. I had fun searching the English name for these sweets, and even went down a linguistic wormhole or two.

In closing, whilst this does indeed present the iris in a sweet, confectionary way, it does kind of strike the same one or two notes throughout, and there isn’t enough of a heavy, basey element to counterbalance this all.

Vellocet

HOW is this discontinued?! It was so popular. Can’t find it anywhere :(

this smells exactly like how i imagine it'd smell like based on the notes, a powdery almond (like the type of almond in Prada's infusion d'amande), sugared sweet, with a touch of floral iris. tbh i expected this to last longer and be louder solely based on previous experience with the rest of the maison lancome line, but this one is not as big of a screamer. there are some shampooyi nuances i like about this, however, i personally would've liked it to be a bit less sweet although i do realize that this is meant to capture the scent of jordan almonds which are sweet af, but i feel like the orange blossom in this is syrupy sweet and to add to that, there's an actual sugar component. HOWEVER, i'd like to emphasize that this by no means is overly synthetically headache-inducingly sweet, it's subtle and i like that. plz don't go bat shit crazy spending $82829282 for a bottle of this just bc it's discontinued, i really do recommend u to try prada infusion d'amande or zara msk004 (which was created by the same perfumer btw) for a fraction of the price. i usually don't recommend something in place of something else, but both scent wise and performance wise infusion d'amande is superior imo and a worthy replacement.

Iris + sugared almonds + vanilla combo. A gourmand leaning iris. This is the sweetest iris fragrance I own, I am in love with this scent. This is like what I imagine angels would smell like. Very soothing and delectable. Longevity is very good, 8 hrs++, however, sillage is weak to moderate.

I’m hoping to buy a bottle of this, if anyone is selling please feel free to DM me💕

Iris Dragées is aptly named - it is an iris among sugared almonds. It is sweet and gourmand-leaning; not the powdery iris-dominant scent I'm looking for, but good regardless. What I've tried from the Maison Lancôme line has impressed me for the most part, and ID is no exception.

ID opens with some gentle, rosy pink pepper and some citric freshness. The iris-almond follows - the main event. The iris is powdery and nicely rendered, and the sugared almond note is realistic - adding gourmand sweetness. My only issue is that I hoped for a more iris-forward scent. Soft, powdery white florals round it out as it develops.

Dry vanilla emerges as it dries down, prolonging the gourmand sweetness. It becomes musky as it fades. I showered, and was left with an Iso E Super skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

A pretty, pleasant feminine scent, this is a sweet gourmand-esque scent that is punctuated by florals. Mild and smooth, this is a transeasonal everyday scent. Sophisticated sweetness in a bottle. 4/5.

This line being discontinued is absolutely criminal! Nothing else Lancome produces holds a candle to it... BRING IT ALL BACK!

Why are all the old, discounted Maison Lancôme perfumes so beautiful and why haven't I tried all of them in time, when they were readily available?
Iris Dragées smells just like the name suggests. Wedding almonds with a big dusting of iris powder and a touch of a fluffy lemon dessert. Cooler and cleaner than the usual gourmands, more edible and inviting than your average powdery iris. I also find this a little musky, somewhere between freshly showered feminine skin and nostalgic vanillic dollskin. Maybe it's just me, but I can detect a hint of an aniseed note, as if a touch of spice was hidden in the candied almond dragee.
This is cozy and soothing, but not warm and smothering. It would be a good choice for autumn, winter, spring and even cooler summer days, I find it quite versatile.

I don't think that this is that close to L'Instant Magic. Roughly in the same ballpark, sure, but L'IM reminds me a lot of Hipp baby lotion and Iris Dragées has nothing baby-ish about it at all.

takema

I have almost blind bought Iris Dragees a few times. I finally got a decant and I am glad I didn't spend the money on a full bottle. It's a lovely fragrance, but just not worth the price.
Iris Dragees opens with fresh and sweet bergamot that fades very quickly. Then the fragrance is all about the sugared almond and iris. It is soft, sweet and powdery. On my skin I don't find this overly sweet. The sweetness is light and gentle and is especially lovely once the nuttiness of the almond warms up on the skin. In the drydown the vanilla enhances the almond making it a bit more gourmand with the soft, powdery florals in the background.

It is a ultra feminine fragrance that would be a lovely everyday fragrance for someone who wants something very soft and subtle. It smells lovely in hot and cold weather.

The performance is fine, but I would have preferred a bit more projection. It lasts on the skin for quite a while, 8-10 hours. But on me it is a skin scent almost the entire time. For 1-2 hours it has a light projection that I can smell around myself, but by two hours I can only smell it very close to my skin. I didn't find overspraying helped with projection. I would have been happier if that lighter projection lasted a lot longer. The price point is just a bit too steep for a skin scent.

Şeker notası görunse de bana göre asla tatlı,şekerli degil buz gibi kaba ir badem notası , anasona benzer bir nota çok rahatsız ediciydi.kuruduktan sonra katmanlamak için kullanacağım.

This scent is definitely light on my skin , however I have been exhausted while trying to find a bottle ,8; anyone has a partial or fb ,at a fair price please advise and send me a mess
Thank you

ohsnapamb

I was able to find a partial bottle for a decent price considering people are selling bottles for outrageous prices. It’s a nice sweet iris with a powdery almond. In my opinion definitely not worth the amount most people are selling bottles for right now since it’s discontinued. Unless this is your must have tried and true iris perfume don’t fall into the hype some discontinued fragrances get.

ns.mahboobi

I'm disappointed, I exited something more special with better performance.

What an amazing community we have here. I was able to find this beauty with the help of wonderful Fragranticians!! Thank you 💜

The wee drop I tested, this is almond-ish, powdery iris. Not too grownup but not too immature. Of course, right up my alley, as these Maison Lancome scents tend to be. Sigh. Darn you, Nathalie!!

scentine

Anonymous Iris. That's how I would rename this fragrance. Don't get me wrong, this is very iris-dominant, but rather than getting a sense of its own particular character it's reminding me of dozens of other fragrances, as if it has borrowed bits from here and there and arranged them together.
What I'm getting is 2 parts Infusion d'Iris Absolue, 1 part Mon Guerlain, 1 part L'Instant Magic. The almond note in this comes across like in L'Instant Magic. And the composition has a very particularly Prada-esque interpretation of iris, but overall it's definitely distinctly sweet. Still, it remains kind of transluscent. It's there, but it sits very close to the skin and doesn't have much projection. This is not necessarily a criticism, because not all fragrance is meant to declare your arrival before you do, but it's something to keep in mind. This is very discreet.

Wow way to copy Armani Sensi

Except for the benzoin note and the initial citrus blast of Sensi,
Iris dragées is a dead on copy , I would say 90 to 95 percent identical

LSAUG

I was really excited to try Iris Dragee but it falls flat for me. Especially w/ the price point. It has so much sugar. I just don't feel it has a real interesting sweetness. It is like dumping a box of plain sugar on a bed of iris flowers and then topping it w/ those sugared almond wedding favors. This brings to mind little girls playing dress up. My recommendations for sweet iris perfumes are by Miller Harris, Violet Ida and Blousy (which is rose, carnation and iris) they have a lot more character and depth. Also, another good, sweet iris is Abel Pink Iris. And another really good iris is Oscar de la Renta Esprit de Oscar. But get the parfum not the toilette, the parfum is dark brown juice.

silthrill

A sweet, playful, extroverted iris! 😍 For a note that otherwise takes itself very seriously, this is so unique and fun 💜💜💜

carlaelle

If anyone has a bottle they would like to part with, please send me a DM! Thanks :) x

emerson10

OK wow this makes so much that Nathalie Lorson is behind this. There's something about it that reminds me so much of Black Opium. Like if BO had an iris-centered flanker, it would be this. That said, I feel v neutral about Black Opium, but I am really enjoying this. A sweet gourmandy iris -- I get vanilla for sure and my note was interpreting the sweetness as a cherry (makes sense it's almond now...)

talkaboutscents

Not just Iris Dragees but this powdery-violet-iris-sandalwood-musk theme on perfumery is surely one of the classier ones. For anyone already seeking alternatives, suggest you check Massimo Dutti - Souffle Marais, if you don’t get fooled by branding and marketing gimmicks then you might be very satisfied. I’m only talking with what I smell and ingredients I could pick & study on both.

Souffle Marais is as good as Iris Dragees, if not better at a 1/3 of the price. You can check my detailed review on Souffle Marais on its own page. I would even go as far as suggesting to check Armani He/Lui and She/Lei both…To me those are the pioneers of this same theme since 90’s, and Souffle Marais smells hell a lot closer to those 90’s formulations.

Prada - Candy for sure (more benzoin), Guerlain - L’Instant Magic, Chanel - Jersey (with added lavender on top) and Infusion d’Iris (most iris-accurate of the bunch) are other scents in the same vein to check.

clairesque

Although this fragrance comes from Lancome's Maison line, meaning I consider it closer to designer than niche, Iris Dragees has the uniqueness and complexity that I would only expect from a niche house. This is a sweet iris reminiscent of Valentina Poudre but much more smooth and mature. In addition to the powdery iris and soft vanilla at the forefront, there's an amaretto note from the almond, but it doesn't skew too sweet or syrupy. It is elegant and sophisticated - I can't imagine someone younger pulling this off; it's the scent of a fashionable, mysterious woman. I imagine that anyone who likes Mon Guerlain but finds it too sweet or too strong would enjoy Iris Dragees.

Cocobello

I have been on a quest. A quest to find THE iris perfume of my dreams. I like the smell of orris root, the papery, pencil shavings kind of smell of iris and I normally like iris in gourmands as well.
I had high expectations of this fragrance based on the rave reviews on Fragrantica and Youtube. Since it is discontinued now it is only available for astronomical prices on ebay or other markets anywhere between $380 - $500 dollars for a bottle.
I am so happy that I was able to get a sample of this fragrance and I am so happy that it was only a sample I paid $9 for as I am quite disappointed.
Perhaps it is my fault to create a different picture in my head how this would smell like but I am glad on the other hand, because I won't feel the need to spend $500 on a bottle of this juice.
I thought this would smell something like an almond bear claw, sweet vanilla and almost marzipan like sprinkled with confectioners sugar with buttery orris. Well, it does not smell like that.
Upon first spray I immediately felt like I have smelled this before though. Maybe because I did and I didn't realize it was Iris Dragées or it just reminded me of something else. Somehow Mon Guerlain came to mind, however they do not smell alike they share some notes. While lavender is dominant in Mon Guerlain which is not present in Iris Dragées and Mon Guerlain is not as sweet as Iris Dragées the flowery, iris-vanilla combo therefore the crowd pleasing aspect is shared.
Even though I do love both iris and almond which are the main stars of the show this fragrance is not even a like for me. It's an okay. I would definitely not chase a bottle for astronomical prices.

LaChinoiserie

I am utterly in love with Iris Dragées 💗🤍💗🤍

I blind bought it (was lucky to find one of the last bottles for sale, as it’s been discontinued for some time) because I’ve heard comparisons to Guerlain’s Iris Ganache. That is my unicorn fragrance and can now only be found for unthinkable prices on eBay… so when I managed to find a bottle of Iris Dragées I just went for it. I was ready to be disappointed with my impulsive nearly €200 purchase.

Oh my, was I happily surprised… Iris Dragées smells exactly how I imagined Iris Ganache might smell like. I’ve never actually sampled it and some people who own both perfumes tell me they’re not that similar except for the fact that they’re both iris gourmands. But I don’t care because this is what I can get my hands on and I couldn’t be happier with this addictive scent.

Iris is my favorite note, I own many of those powdery makeup-y vintage-y perfumes. But the addition of the powdery-sweet-almond-pastry notes is so incredibly delicious. I agree with the people who comment that it’s not overly gourmand, because I generally don’t like gourmands too much yet I love this. It’s quite sweet for my personal taste, but you’re not walking around smelling like an actual dessert. It’s just powdery and wonderful.

It’s not a monster fragrance but watch out do not overspray, I’ve made that mistake myself. I’d rather carry a decant in my purse and apply a couple sprays more when I need a refresh.

It’s such a pity that it’s discontinued, but I shall enjoy my 100ml with abandon while it lasts.

akoyumi

This is the best thing I’ve ever smelled and it is sold out everywhere!!!😭 Please PM me if you have a bottle for sale or swap!!!

Holliebobollie

Oh my goodness that’s amazing. Like a warm towels fresh from the dryer. Absolutely cosy and warm. I love Prada Cargo de Nuit but it’s very hard to find. This gives me the same feeling but more feminine.

Cristinaaa

Iris dragees should have been the star of the Lancome private line. Instead, her louder, more assertive sisters have received all the attention. I have oud bouquet, and while I love it, there is something about Iris dragees that is timeless, elegant, and signature scent worthy. Recently, a friend of mine sprayed this fragrance before a night out and I fell absolutely in love with the wafts of vanillic-almondy-iris cloud that enveloped her. This fragrance is so understated and beautiful. I have never found its equivalent.

gourmandnotes

Reviewing for the old bottle formulation. Everything Nathalie Lorson has done here is with gentle brushstrokes of watercolor notes; nothing here is truly 'opaque', save for the white musk and Iso E Super, which amplifies the airy, feathery, powdery potential inherent within the iris flower, orris, almond, and sugar notes. And despite the usual gourmand ingredients, I wouldn't call this exactly gourmand... About 55% is sweet iris-almonds and the other % is significantly an empty space reserved for some kind of filler white musk. It's not your typical in-your-face, strong, full-on gourmand. It's more like a gourmand-white musk with the strength of a skinscent.

With that in mind, it's also not a power performer like Oud Bouquet, Lavandes Trianon, Roses Berberanza, etc.,. If I had to rank the overall strength level of Iris Dragees including sillage, it would probably be among the bottom lasts in terms of performance. Somewhere between 2.5-3 out of 5 stars. It's good for spring, summer, is office appropriate, or can be worn on a date/day where you don't want to wear anything too aggressive.

SanjuktaB

I have the new reformulated version with a single plaque and gold cap. It is a very pretty 'makeup' iris
fragrance that smells both professional and sophisticated. I do get a sweetness in the beginning but just a touch ....its not gourmandishly sweet in any way .What makes it stand apart is that it has a very Chanel-esque sparkling quality to it.The champagne like sparkliness and bubbliness one gets in some Chanel fragrances is also here and makes it understatedly elegant. Perfect for a signature fragrance. But if you are looking for the sweet almond dragees note then this is not it. This fragrance gets addictive after 10 wears .I get wafts of it even after 5 hrs though it is a soft fragrance and people around you will notice it.

Gemini Moon

I love this one . It's a modern iris scent. I get a lot of white chocolate & almond in this & and the iris is so smooth and buttery. Even though i hate gourmands but its so subdued . The powdery aspect of this perfume is very soft. It can be a great choice to wear on the wedding day too.
Projection - 8/10
Longevity - 9/10
Quality - 10/10
Definately recommend if u like smooth iris scent with a gourmand twist . it's quite unique as well.

Dramaloladiva

This is a true gentle and understated quiet beauty!! I am head over heels for this one by Maison Lancôme!
Why oh why do all the good ones get discontinued???
I was lucky enough to snag Iris Dragées, Jasmins Marzipane, Parfait de Rôses, Rôses Berberanza, Lavandes Trianon and Oud Bouquet before they completely vanish forever!!
Shame Lancôme, shame 😓

Back to Iris Dragées, this is very very classy, quiet but oh so beautiful, grown up and yet demure, perfect for any occasion, just perfect.
Of course, you have to like Iris, florals and almonds. This is on the sweet side but not overly so, just the perfect amount to make this concoction balanced and very classy. I cannot believe it is now disappearing from the market. Sad 😔

ceeceelee

I do love this. I snagged a back order on Neimans site back in early Sept. But...............Iso Super E. Not as bad as in BDK's Velvet Tonka (that one takes my breath) but it's present enough. I let it settle and it kind of hides in the powder, iris, almond floral now, so I can appreciate the beauty of this frag. Very feminine, but not boring in the least. It won't be in the rotation a lot, but it's definitely staying. Now if I could just get Parfait de Roses. I had a chance at Jasmins Marzipane but I let it slip through my fingers, sigh.

carmenandmonkey

A pure, clean floral and slightly soapy iris scent. A light touch of vanilla and almond, a touch of sweet, but not edible. Powdery but not dry. And even a tiny bit cold! I'd actually love to have a makeup powder that smells like this. It actually took a few tries over time for my nose to adapt, so give it time. I imagine wearing this to a spring brunch or high tea with girlfriends. Feminine and pretty, but not flirtatious.

katariina9

Iris Dragées is more of an almond scent on my skin rather than iris-scent. Fluffy, very pretty, its powdery but bright (due to pink pepper that I didn't recognise in blind test), not suffocating, Iris adds transparent veil to almonds. It has a bit of a tonka-touch as the almonds are dessert-like, marzipan-like. Quite a bit of fragrant clean muskiness. More Infusion d'amande than infusion d'iris that is much more sterile.

I could imagine Iris Dragées being worn on a graduation celebration, it has this innocence and a make-up touch in the dry-down. Its feminine and very pretty. But fit also for the wedding, posh reception in the manor, even Ascot... I can imagine the ladies wearing a hat or at least a fascinator. The colour and design of the bottle represents the scent perfectly.

In the blind test I got the neroli/orange blossom touch that adds brightness, and feel of dusting sugar. But I didn't recognise freesia, now when reading the notes, I can certainly smell freesia, its in unusual powdery situation here. As it develops, orris is there, but not very creamy. Vanilla is a bit rum-like, like a cooking essence. Dry-down is a bit amber-like and much more amped-up powder and blond woods. A bit like almondy cooking dough.

I'm just sampling with dabber, but this scent needs to be experienced in a generous mist from a full bottle. Otherwise its a bit too gentle, but probably has a fair stamina when spritzed from the bottle. Very very pretty one.. even though not my own taste.

p.s. I compared with Velvet Tonka by BDK side my side on skin, and although similar, VT on thicker, not as bright and powdery, also has more bitter almond note. Iris Dragees gives off the innocent prettiness, VT is more mysterious, soapier and heavier. Yep, the vibes are different.

ghkim

This is a very soft sugary almond iris. Does not project at all, but lasting power is decent. The sweetness is not at all cloying. It is powdery and a touch soapy. Very very office appropriate. Does better in warm/hot weather. I do like it but I have to spray myself about 20 times to get any projection. Bottle is large (and beautiful) so I don't mind.

MissAnnette

I’m relieved to cross this off my want list, as it’s quite expensive. But let me just say that the bottle is even prettier in person than in pictures. It started with dry unsweetened iris and then slowly become sweeter with slightly powdery almonds, but it never become cloying or overly sugary sweet. I didn’t get the orange blossoms or bergamot in the opening. What stands out to me is the bitter iris, almonds, vanilla and musk. It’s a really pretty scent, and I would be happy to own a small decant to appreciate once in a while. I tried it side by side with Guerlain L’instant Magic but they are not even close imho. I would love to try this again to see if I missed a facet of the fragrance, unfortunately, this got discontinued but I don’t want to be pressured into buying this because of FOMO. Why Lancome? This is so much prettier than a lot of your perfumes!!!

Cristinaaa

I debated for months about whether to get this fragrance and I am so glad that I did - especially now that it is being discontinued. I expected a sweet, marzipan almond take on iris. However, this smells like a bright, bergamot infused take on iris and white flowers. It is very long lasting and has moderate projection. To my nose, it is not syrupy sweet. There is a freshness to this scent that makes it appropriate for the office or as a signature scent. I think it would work well in all seasons. Iris is one of my favorite notes in perfumery as I love its ability to straddle the line between vintage/classic and modernity. There is a buttery paper-like note in the dry down that has me sniffing my wrist over and over again.

As another reviewer before me mentioned, Iris Dragee smells like the younger, more exuberant sister of Athalia by Parfums de Marly. While Athalia is a quiet, mature, sophisticated lady with a closet full of black/navy/gray, Iris Dragee is playful, modern, and dresses in white.

More comparisons: This is a sweeter, brighter, creamier version of Infusion d'iris. To my nose, it is slightly less powdery too.

MonkeyPuppet

I love this fragrance but not always in the mood and I have been trying to think of something to layer with it. Today I layered it with just a tiny spray of Van Cleef and Arpels Gardenia Petale. It was just enough to sweeten its florals bringing out the sugar and orange blossom. It turns it into a more classic springtime for me.

Queen of Sheba

I’m surprised by how much orange blossom I get in this fragrance, yet almost no one else mentions it. It reminds me of that newer modern, syrupy orange blossom note in L’Interdit and Libre which I strongly dislike, so it’s disappointing to find here yet it’s the strongest note I get in the opening. After the orange blossom, I get the powdery almond, no distinct iris.

This dries to a linear, flat, very sweet, candied orange blossom almond-vanilla powder. It doesn’t smell like makeup at all to me.

I agree it is similar to L’Instant Magic but much sweeter, almost cloyingly so. I will do a side by side comparison and report back.

I was hoping for a lot more iris due to the name but I hardly get any here. Overall a little disappointing and boring, nearing generic sweet fragrance.

Palmer Eldritch

I fell into the 'Iris Dragées' hype thanks to 'Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews' on YouTube...and I'm not sorry.
So far my nose is impressed. This is 100% an iris perfume but without being vintage/mature or veering into the expensive make-up powder category (like the 'Insolence' line from Guerlain). Also this is surprisingly fresh! It smells gourmand in the nozzle, but isn't on the skin.

'Iris Dragées' is an airy, powdery, softly-sweet iris with a refreshing touch. The opening on my skin is surprisingly citrusy. The bergamot is strong...however it's quickly followed by the powdery iris. Over a course of 30 minutes, the scent becomes sweeter but not in a super-syrupy or honeyed way. If you've ever smelled those white/pastel sugar-covered almonds this is EXACTLY what the dry down smells like (supported by the orris butter).

This is my 2nd time categorising an iris-oriented fragrance as youthful, fresh with feminine innocence (1st was my beloved 'Infusion d'Iris L'Eau d'Iris' by Prada). Reminds me of a ballerina! This gave me a huge-throwback to 'Petits et Mamans' by Bvlgari (one of the first perfumes I tried in my life), and I was surprised to learn that both have the same perfumer.
If you're a fan of iris, definitely check this one out. It's not terribly original, however I can't deny how elegant & uplifting 'Iris Dragées' is. Currently my 3rd favourite from the Maison Lancome line that I will enjoy all spring & early summer days...

Edit: This is my favourite iris-oriented perfume right now. IT IS PERFECT FOR OFFICE ENVIRONMENT!!!!

Siv7Stars

Soft sweet iris with a realistic slightly bitter almond. It starts with the sugary iris then almond takes over in the middle, slightly too strongly for my taste, has a bit of a fight with the iris which wins again for a while at the end. I wish it was more irisy all the way through. Performance is ok but at this price I wish it was stronger, this is very soft overall. I know it says "for women and men" up there but this is feminine to me. Yes a guy can smell sweet n fluffy if he likes (please do!) but this is not really a unisex perfume. I detect a hint of leather in here too, although it's not listed.
I've ended up buying an fb from the Lancome official site, most I've ever spent on a single scent, but the bottle is so nice. Loving the magnetic cap.
This is a very strange line, they seem to discontinue the things that are easier to like, like Parfait de Roses, so felt I had to get this in case it too bites the dust.

Jacklyn's Perfumery

I thought I had previously did a review on this but when I looked I don't think I did. So this fragrance is discontinued and it appears Lancome has discontinued many in the Maison Lancome line unfortunately. And some of the greatest one's so if you got your hands on them they are extremely exclusive now unless they are re-released because you can't get them anymore. Now with Iris Dragee this is such a phenomenal fragrance if you are a lover of green iris fragrances such as Chanel No 19 Poudre for example you will see some similarities to that fragrance and even Prada Infusion de Iris. I’ve even heard it compared to the discontinued Guerlain‘s Iris Ganache. So there are green notes in it. Think of green leaves with a mix of citrus which is the bergamot. Now there is a lot of florals and vanilla and what they all do is make this fragrance like a thick powdery, creamy Iris mixed with the mid note of sweet Almonds. Like confectionary cream covered jordan almonds. It's not almondy thick like Hypnotic Poison but you can smell the sweet creaminess on the base of the fragrance to give it a nice touch, and make it slightly more sweet without the overkill if you still like your fragrances more on the green side with the iris. If you like to collect iris fragrances this is a must have. And it's getting harder to find unfortunately since it's been discontinued. I still need to try Chanel No 19 Edp but next to that I love Chanel No 19 Poudre & Iris Dragee equally the same. When my bottle finishes I hope I can score another one in the future. Had I known it was going to be discontinued I would of scored another one sooner.

If you like the smell of powdery make up then this perfume is for you

The only thing I don't appreciate about the scent is the synthetic addition of Iso E Super, it would have been better without it in my opinion.

Bluebirdpsyche

When i first received Iris Dragees, I was unimpressed. Nice but meh....yet this grew on me...in me, like vines, spreading out into my bloodstream.

I feel a quiet strength when I wear ID. This is a sweet vanilla and sugar encrusted, graceful, iris-almond dyad. I get a slight earl grey tea aspect as well, maybe that’s the bergamot, which is refreshing. She oscillates between a pastel/neutral spectrum of woods and warmth and subdued cool shades, balancing an earthy fine milled almond orris paste creaminess with a soft calm clean iris powder, and fresh musk.

Versatile, polished, refined....There is an apparent tame delicacy to her, a nostalgia, but only to a point of resonance. Iris Dragees is for the dreamer, the woman with a far away look in her eyes... who “sees” beyond, but is also aware of the restraints... and the shadows on the wall.

Understated, serene, soothing. She smells heavenly. Longevity about 8+, lays close to the skin, reverberating...She’s really, well, perfectly splendid 🤍

First sniff of this beauty, fresh, citrusy, delightful, the bergamot and pink pepper really shine. There is no harsh synthetic "scrachiness" at all. After a few minutes, this perfume takes a turn and goes STRONG on the iris. At that point, I just went "Wow...Did I just pay over 200$ to smell like my makeup?". Of course, the iris is strong and dominant at this stage. I wait another hour and then the sugar and almond comes through with the iris into a delicate and beautiful mix. I really love this dry-down!

Overall, this is well done fragrance. It reminds me of some more classic scents with iris, but it is not entirely "dated" to say. This is a light, slightly sweet modern take on iris. While Maison Lancome has made a name for itself for its strong gourmand, but this one is not most gourmand out of the bunch. It is a rather safe perfume for all occasions.

For reference, I really love Jasmins Marzipane and Figues et Agrumes from this line. So if you happen to love these two as well, you should give this a try before this perfume is completely out of the market!

blackw0lfx

I feel so disappointed. I really like Violet Flame by HOM however it is very expensive. This was on sale so I figured it would be a safe blind buy and fit the powdery iris I need. This is not the herbal orris of Violet Flame and it is not gourmand either (like I had hoped). This is clean sour orris on me for the past 4 hours. I think its the freesia that is really standing out on my skin. It is not buttery. It reminds me more of clean sheets and makeup. ugh. Maybe it will grow on me or maybe not D:

perfectly fine for anytime as it does not project well. more mature for 30 yr or older.

nativelocal

Just a heads up that this fragrance is no longer listed on the US Lancome site which has always been an indicator that a scent is being discontinued. So definitely get your hands on a bottle if it's one you're interested in!

Edit: just got an email response back from Lancome and it's officially discontinued.

danielle.crump

If you can't find or access this.... just get Guerlain's l'instant Magic basically the same and last much longer.

MonkeyPuppet

Just received a new 100 ml bottle direct from Lancome, but it is on sale currently everywhere in UK. I have had a sample for about a year and finally decided I needed the full bottle for the Fall. Such a cozy scent, perfectly balanced almond and iris, not too sweet, with just the right powdery touch that will be lovely with a warm sweater(jumper) on a cool Fall day. A work-appropriate fragrance for any of you heading back to the workplace.

Also, the bottle was a surprise. Of course, it is beautiful and high quality, but I had always been a bit disappointed that this Maison Lancome fragrance bottle had a white cap, but mine came with a gold cap. A mistake? or a welcome change?

nativelocal

To make it plain, this fragrance smells like sweet almond scented baby wipes. Kind of like if baby wipes were scented to smell like Jordan almonds. I don't think it's bad by any means and I'm sure there would be times when I'd be in the mood for something like this that smells sweet, powdery, and fresh. However, this doesn't inspire me to seek out a full bottle.

joseffgabriel

The iris here is unusual. It does smell like a bag full of make up like every iris smells, but the candy nuance of dragees make it smell like an the inside of an expensive leather bag full of candies stolen from an elegant wedding. The almond here acts as a fixative youll get that nutty smell only after it dries up. This is the bright side of PDM Athalia and this smells like her daughter.

I've had my decant of Iris Dragées for a while now, and I've tested it often, in all types of weather and in different settings, but I think I'll have to accept that I just don't love it as much as I thought I would. The thought of a gourmand iris scent was so enticing to me that my expectations were sky-high, so I was bound to be disappointed - I like it, but that's all. And it's not because it doesn't fit the description; it does smell like a perfume version of what iris-scented dragée candies probably would. It's just that it's the kind of candy that would disappoint a child: for a gourmand it's quite understated and elegant, there's nothing very exuberant about it. Which makes it more wearable and more adult, certainly, but also a little less joyful than what I was hoping for. Like I said, I still like it, and it certainly works perfectly for this cool summer day at the office. But contrary to my expectations, I don't think I'll ever need a full bottle.

tessture

As others reviewed, this is a soft sweet iris powder with light almond sugar. It's pretty similar to Lempicka L’Eau Blanc, actually. Very pretty, non challenging, easy to wear.

gtabasso

lots of vanilla bergamot and almond mainly like a Shalimar flanker with some sugar, musk, pink pepper and floral notes

Nanis224

Soft, sweet and lovely, love it.

AquaBaby5

TeaforTwo this is my second wearing of Iris Dragees and I agree about it being like original Lolita Lempicka, that came to my mind before reading your review! I blind bought that fragrance a year ago and unfortunately I did not like the green-ness of the ivy or the anise as it wore on so I sold it. LL Le Parfum is different, kept that one. But the cold powderiness and level of sweetness of Iris Dragees is VERY similar on my skin to LL EDP. I do like this one much better. I think if I can get a travel size of this I would enjoy it but not a full size bottle.

I'm surprised that I don't love this as I love this Lancome line, and love iris and any purple flowers. I love powdery scents, orris root, some sweetness, almond...you'd think every box of mine would be ticked. Not to say it smells bad, but once it is on my skin, I don't smell anything at all aside from a little bit of a metallic note. Odd. I'm very happy I sampled it, however. Could just be my skin that eats up the fragrance. Out of the sample vial, it does have a cold, somewhat metallic scent from the get-go. Maybe I need to atomize the fragrance to get the full experience as I only dabbed it. I only dabbed the other two scents I've tried from this line, too, however, and they were not weak at all. Will update if I experience something else. Definitely test before buying! Plenty of samples out there.

Edit: I decided to pour the remaining 0.9 some mL of my sample vial into an sample spray bottle and used it all for day wear today. I can absolutely smell it when atomizing the perfume vs. dabbing. I could not smell anything just applying it to my skin, but breaking up the molecules works some magic on this one. It is still very light, but the iris dances in and out. Quite icy and fresh. I like it! :) A nice aura scent for days you may need a calming, undercover scent compared to heavier scents. I kind of wish I had more to sample. Might have to buy more.

pozimhoff

How could you go wrong with such an appealing name and concept..in a word cedar. I detect pencil shavings and find the overuse of this cheap fragrance note as unfortunate as overuse of garlic in fine cuisine. It could have been so beautiful. Not bad, just a near miss.

Cavoodlegirl

This is one of those magical perfumes. It doesn't scream "here I am", it just softly wafts around you. The first time I wore it out I thought it was very light, but the girl serving at the supermarket checkout wanted to know what I was wearing because it was very pretty. She was more than an arms-length away.
Something no-one has mentioned is the iso e super in the base. Perhaps this has something to do with why some people having difficulty smelling it very strongly. I own Molecule 01. It has the same effect. I smell it softly in the air but not on my skin.
It is a very pretty iris, pepper, powdery vanilla scent. Quite unique and well made. I'm glad I have it.

TeaforTwo

This is a dead ringer for the original Lolita Lempicka, except slightly thinner and lighter. Oh, and loads more expensive. If you like a sweet almond composition, just get some Lempicka instead. This is alright, but not worth the niche-level price, at all.

genny17

This is such a pretty fragrance !! I don’t find it gourmand per se , as dragées aren’t overly sweet or let ‘ say delicately sweet , this is delicately sweet with some freshness also
The almond vibe is high quality and just barely present
The notes blend in so softly yet the scent has presence and lingers nicely
I must say it is a bit similar to mon Guerlain , although iris dragées isn’t aromatic with lavender .. I have been wearing it for a few days and I truly enjoy it
The iris has a soapy quality rather than buttery and I like that
Now not even remotely unisex , this is feminine , cozy , with a niche quality ! Happy to own it , this is beautifully constructed and not overly powdery .

ridgel

This isn’t a heavily powdery iris on my skin. It smells like buttery almondy vanilla. It’s subtly sweet and subtle musk. Sometimes this reminds me of a smooth rounded Mon Guerlain, which I love but on occasion can be screechy. This is like a non screechy version. Also like a mature Poison Girl. Soft silage but lasts for hours. Based on the notes I thought nope I won’t like this, but I’m pleasantly surprised w/ this one. For the price not FBW but I do enjoy my decants. If you like almond, sample this.

thesheppardess

I wanted to like this so much as it has all the notes I love.... but it seems I am anosmic to this fragrance. I smell a little something sweet and then nothing. I have worn it in different temperatures, and at different times of the day but I can't pick up anything.

1guy1dog3cats

I’ve been on an iris kick lately, and Iris Dragées popped up on my radar, then in my online cart, and finally, inevitably, in my mailbox. After a few testings, I can safely say this is a solid love. At first spray, I do get a strong resemblance to Poison Girl, as noted by others here. However, it quickly loses that similarity with the dry-down. There’s bitter almond, some sweet vanilla, and a hefty dose of powdery iris. Though iris is highlighted in the scent’s name, I get more gourmand almond (gourm-almond?) than floral. Nevertheless, it’s a stunner.

Unlike some others who’ve had issues with longevity, my experience has been the opposite. In fact, a few sprays have lasted me the entire day, and when spritzed in the evening, it’s still detectable the next morning. Projection, however, is low to moderate, keeping close to the body.

Other users have voted for Dioramour as a “reminds me of” scent. I disagree for the most part. Both are relatively relaxed takes on iris, but Dioramour is less sweet, colder, and more powdery and refined. If you like one, though, you’ll almost certainly fall in love with the other. I’m hopelessly under both of their spells!

sleepy*weasel

Very pleasant and wearable powdery iris/almond, fairly linear after the scent has bloomed. This coped well with the current very hot weather, it's great for the office or those occasions where you just want to be feminine and wear a nice dress. Perfect for summer evenings too. The melancholy of iris, is nicely balanced by a smooth, comforting blanket of almond, the whole being (slightly) sweet, pretty and yet substantial enough to last several hours. Me likey :) x

Bioluv

I can’t say anything bad about this baby. I just can’t. Apparently I’ve always loved the scent of iris in perfumes I just didn’t know what it was called haha; until I smelt IRIS dragées and realized ‘hmmm what i’m smelling so distinctly must be IRIS then I must love IRIS, how brilliant!
Oh and then the almond...mmmmmm my goodness...my two loves in one place! could life get any better?

@get the twist - you might want to try Roses Berberanza since you want something loud or Roses Parfait. I personally prefer the latter because it’s not as loud or sharp as the Berberanza but overall to me, they’re both louder than iris dragées

Edit: currently enjoying a sample of this I received from a generous fragrantican and I’m in love! This lasts daysss on my clothes, I’m talking 3 days and over if you really sniff. It doesn’t have a powerful sillage to fill a room but like someone said earlier, it floats around you like a cloud leaving a soft, beautiful trail behind for anyone close enough to enjoy. This is lovely! Well done Lancome

shushkin

Such a pretty and addictive scent. You are admittedly aware of the iris closely followed by the orris butter. Yes, it is sweet and gourmand. A bit girly but very moreish.
I think the fresh, intense neroli and peppery freesia stop it tipping over into sickly sweet. It smells expensive. I wish the iris remained at the fore much longer but that is the nature of the note I guess.
I think the name suits it perfectly. It makes me feel like I'm almost edible when I wear this. Sweet and delish
I get reasonable longevity and the sillage is average but in a warm environment the sillage really extends.
A very delicious scent and hopefully I will acquire a bottle in the future.

quency1

It’s nice and of course a feminine fragrance. It reminds me of Sweet Morphine by Ex Nihilo with five common notes. Love it.

Unalome

Actually, I did not want to test the fragrance, because I was so deterred by the word dragees and immediately thought sticky, sugary, sweet. The iris here has different layers: dry woody, concentrated, harsh iris, delicate iris powder above and next to it also a juicy fresh iris. The scent ist sweet but not sugary-sticky sweet, more like a roasted almond sweetness, in which a delicate bitterness resonates.

Annabear

I agree with the reviewers who have found this to be a faint fragrance. Considering the majestic projection of Oud Bouqet, Santal Kardamon and L’autre Oud, this is very weak and in my opinion lacks personality.

If you’re expecting what the name suggests - a sweet evocative iris, you should try it before buying to avoid disappointment.

get the Twist

I got this perfume ( blind purchase )last month on boxing day with a 20 % OFF . This one was in my wishlist for a while because I absolutely love ALMOND and IRIS.
This scent is beautiful but very faint. It's sweet and almondy and a bit iris but not much to my nose. It's a very cozy and comforting scent. It's very close to the skin with no sillage. I was hoping, for the price tag and such an exclusive line that the perfume had more intensity. Don't get me wrong, the smell is beautiful but I am wearing it for bedtime and this was a bit expensive for that! I also wear ROGER & GALLET Amande Persane and REMINISCENCE Les Notes Gourmandes- Heliotrope which has the same almondy/cozy vibe of IRIS DRAGÉES but for 1/3 of the price.
It's gourmand but not sickly sweet and it's really soft and a bit powdery.
I really think I should have sampled this one instead before jumping by an impulse to it...
I don't regret buying it because I am a collector I am a sucker for beautiful bottles and this one is GORGEOUS :)
This one is my second Maison Lancôme Fragrance and my first one and beloved was OUD BOUQUET ( first edition ) which is absolutely stunning and a MASTERPIECE with enormous sillage and longevity.
I would like to sample more fragrances of this line. Any recommendations for another LOUD and exquisite one?

*It smells similar to ELIE SAAB - The Girl of Now and also DIOR- Poison Girl but softer in intensity.

KitKat

Sabretoothkitten - some nordstroms carry it in store. you can try store locator. typically more fancies nordstroms. this line is incredible and worth checking out.

Iris dragees is beautiful, gourmand but never too sweet like teenage sweet. I love it.

JaneBluff

I'm not sure if it's my body chemistry or not but Iris Dragees is extremely faint on my skin. What I can smell of it is a fairly nice powdery iris, almond and bergamot. I get minimal sweetness and very little vanilla. I could barely smell it with my nose against my arm.

I'm glad I only got the 14ml bottle. Would probably be better layered on top of a nice vanilla. On its own it's a bit bland.

ChypreAnn

I'm glad tinabelcher said it -- this smells JUST like Poison Girl to my nose as well. So it's very sweet and yummy, but if you don't like Poison Girl, you probably won't like this, and if you already have Poison Girl, this will be redundant.

RoseSoul

I would bathe in it...for real. It's perfect in every way! It's the 2nd dominant iris fragrance on my current wishlist and i'm planning to give it a full wearing if I see it in our duty free or in Rome!

Very elegant, classy and unique ! It's a must have for those who love powdery fragrances with an expensive lipstick vibe! Loooove it! ❤️ Too bad that I can't order the travel spray in my country ...

Violinplayah

There’s just something about a good iris perfume! This beautiful fragrance is so classic, elegant, feminine and sophisticated. I risked a blind buy because A. I love iris B. I love the thrill of a blind buy C. The travel size bottles are an affordable collection option that makes blind buying a bit less financially risky (Seriously, why isn’t EVERY fragrance offered in a travel size?? Imagine our collections if that were the case!! Or safer don’t, that’s a dangerous road!) I love this presentation of iris - it really does marry a traditional powder/ lipstick scent with a complimentary gourmand component. I don’t generally like gourmands- but this is just enough. Imagine a less crass Black Opium married to Prada Infusion d’iris then given the Guerlain warm, soft focus with just a touch of Chanel polish. This fragrance is definitely on the feminine spectrum, but other than that is extremely versatile- I can’t imagine an occasion or season when this wouldn’t be of impeccable good taste. I have bought three other travel sizes from this line, even though I traditionally haven’t enjoyed Lancôme fragrances in the past. If I enjoy the rest half as much as I do Iris Dragées, I may have to re-evaluate my judgment of this house. For both iris and gourmand lovers, add to the cart, this one’s a safe blind buy!

tinabelcher

I sampled it & liked it enough to buy the teeny bottle. After a couple days, noticed it smells a lot like Poison Girl. It's very pleasant, especially layered with my Poison Girl Unexpected roller pearl.

KitKat

This is heavenly. Sweet powdery iris. This line from Lancome doesn't get enough attention.

Jenge

This is a very beautiful, refined, light fragrance. It makes me think of a very fine milled, creamy almond soap. I smell the almond right away and it's a light almond paste scent that reminds me of baking Italian Christmas cookies! But it's VERY light and I don't find it too gourmand at all. Then I smell the iris and it's earthy and sometimes chalky and fresh. These warm and cool feelings play a balancing act throughout the life of the perfume which is long, but so soft. Very wearable in any situation, it's calm and clean.
Heat amplifies it somewhat, but I find myself burying my nose in my arm to find it usually. It's quite expensive, and I'm almost through my sample because I'm overspraying trying to smell it! I really want a full bottle, but at half the price because of the low sillage.

chanka

I really like this
it is very elegant later it becomes little bit more sweet and almondy
first spray reminds me prada infusion iris and later dry down reminds me heliotrope Etro so it is something like mix of them and i like both

theuntrainednose

Unequivocally Gourmand. Sweet and elegant though in a young girl way.

I like it because it is well done, but it is more Gourmand than my usual style.

Were it cheaper, I would buy it.
