I had high hopes for this one, but rose ruined it for me 😬 all I got was rose and a slight patchouli, sweet vanilla gourmand where? :(

SweetAminah

If anyone needs a bottle, let me know.

Filolek3037

To me it smells like cherry&vanilla. Nothing special- smelled it somewhere before. But I noticed that I’m not a cherry fan in general, even though there’s no 🍒, the red currant gives off this vibe

Tresor La Nuit a la Folie is another example of the best scent in the line that gets discontinued. Why, nobody knows…

As a lover of original Tresor, I have sampled through years all the flankers released. This, A la Folie, and the summery one, Nude, were my favourites. Discontinued both now!

A la Folie is the most addictive, sweet, leaning gourmand of the line. Has a considerable amount of vanilla, tonka beans and benzoin mixed with some fruits, some spices, some flowers, some woods and patchouli leaves. The results of these beautiful blended notes was a scrumptious, delicious, mouthwatering rich vanilla scent with gourmand, powdery touches!

Performance was great, like most of Lancome’s perfumes, A la Folie lasts well and has moderate sillage. I always appreciate a good lasting perfume and Lancome rarely disappoints.

I don’t understand the logic of discontinuing A la Folie, when it was the most popular in the Tresor line! I see that’s the general sentiment in the comments section here, not just me thinking that. People seem to miss A la Folie, so I doubt Lancome did discontinued it because it wouldn’t sell well..

And personal opinion now, I think nowadays Tresor line is more loved than La Vie est Belle line. Sometimes these designers brands don’t seem to make sense with their decisions to axe the more popular ones from their catalog! I rest my case. You’ll be greatly missed when I am done with my bottle..

autumnblue914

Heaven. The gentle, smooth and not overly sweet vanilla with the mix of spices and a hint of fruitiness. Yet it's so perfectly blended that you can't pick anything out individually, just smells like a unique and sophisticated vanilla.

I cannot understand them discontinuing this, so glad I have a backup.

szania

Obnoxiously sweet but super seductive, sultry and intoxicating.
I rarely find sweet perfumes alluring/ intoxicating, but this one is something otherworldly.
Madagascar vanilla, alongside a dense and dark sugar coated damask rose.
Almost has a gunpowder quality.
I wouldn’t wear it everyday as it is nauseating and headache inducing but more than convenient for a date in extremely cold weather (ofc I am talking about a Siberian winter kind of cold).

Blossomlove

Ok, I like this scent..a lot. My complaint, and I rarely complain about this, is the silage and longevity are poor. I think I get about 2 hours of wear with this scent. I know I have an authentic bottle as it has the sticker with serial code, the a la folie ribbon, and the bottle is identical to my original La Nuit Tresor from Lancome. Does anyone else have these issues? I feel like I need to buy a decant travel spray bottle so I can refresh throughout the day.

elsa0514

I wanted to love it so bad. It smells like medicine to me. Specifically smells like vitamin injections my grandmother would get me when I was little while living in Mexico with her. I just cannot wear this :-(

Shanty36

I blind bought this because (1) i really like the la nuit tresor line and (2) it was raved about as the best flanker on YT to no end, so when i saw it pop up on an online retailer I SNATCHED it up because i cant find it anywhere. Is it nice? Yes. Do i regret buying it? No. But it's not my favourite flanker (that top spot so far goes to the intense flanker, which they also discontinued...).

This version to me has the most body of the flankers ive tried. The base notes are creamier, and come across caramel-like to me (i think it's the tonka bean mixing with the nutmeg to give me that effect). The sweetness is also better enveloped in the blend of notes here, so i can definitely see why people liked this one so much. The other flankers i think focus more around the fruity notes as the star of the show if you will, versus a more balanced blend in this one. If you like the la nuit tresor line i would definitely recommend checking it out if you can find it and if you like a slightly more gourmand style.

jadepo21

I like it. It’s not a gourmand and it’s not as fruity as some of the notes suggest. It’s deep and sultry and definitely cold weather appropriate. But if you have the original Nuit Trésor, I can’t see a need for this one. It is one of the longest lasting perfumes I have tested however and it does settle into a truly sexy scent. A lot to like, but for me, it’s not a love.

Melis.t

This is one of my favourite perfumes ever! It's so warm and cozy, perfect for date nights in colder months. It has an addictive yummy quailty, almost reminding me of berry cheesecake 🍰 I mostly detect vanilla and berries with woody undertone. It's so painful for me to accept this is discontinued...

yukikiki

One of my favorites. It's a blend of vanilla, fruits, and some woods to tone the sweetness down. When I first smelled it, it was like a very flavorful rich vanilla-fruit frosting. It's got a dark, sultry element to it that makes it great for date nights. I wouldn't say any notes stand out too much. It's all very well blended together. I will say though that I don't really detect peony, bergamot, or patchouli. The fragrance is just so good and it gets better as it dries down, as the vanilla, woods, and fruit start to blend more and more together. The nutmeg gives it a mouth watering quality without making the fragrance smell dry or sharp.

It's quite long lasting and has quite a bit of projection. It's one of the few fragrances where I can't overspray - I usually do 10+. But with this fragrance it's half that and if I spray more, I get a headache. For me that's good, especially since it's been discontinued and I only have two 30ml backup bottles. I don't know why Lancome had to discontinue such a gem. At the moment, the Lancome site doesn't have it.

rene.saller

A rich and gourmandy rose scent--it smells chocolatey to me, but cocoa isn't listed as a note, so I'm probably just smelling the vanilla mixed with the berries and other accords. I also discern something that reminds me very much of a purple bearded iris, but again, that could be the violet-peony-jasmine cocktail. I like La Nuit Trésor à la Folie quite a bit, but I probably won't buy a full bottle once my 0.27-ounce purse-spray runs out. It's close enough to some other dessert rose fragrances in my collection--including a recent cheapie that I love, Mohra Silky Rose, by Lattafa--that I don't really need it. I could always wear La Vie est Belle Iris Absolu or Shalimar Millésime Tonka or Vanille Orchidée or Dior Addict if I'm going to wear a floral gourmand. That's not to say La Nuit Trésor à la Folie isn't the equal of those perfumes, only that I already have more perfumes than I can reasonably wear, so I might as well put a moratorium on buying any more--at least until I deplete a few bottles, and that might take years. I'd also like to pare down my scent library to fragrances that I love unreservedly (not merely like).

La.Nuit.Est.Belle

In my experience, it smell amazing, starting with a soft powdery scent that remindsme of an expensive makeup, then it stsrt to mix with some fruity scent, smt like raspberry becoming sweet and acidic at same time, so it softens to let the vanilla make its magic.
Simply love it.

aquadiamor

Heard so much about it so when I saw it at the airport I had to get it…

And I’m not mad about it. It smells yummy and sensual just like I heard about it, but I honestly don’t feel like reaching for it that often which I didn’t expect. Maybe it’s a me thing that it doesnt really match my vibe. I will still use it though but I lil definitely last a long time seeing as I don’t reach for it often at all. Also the way it dries on me seems to leave a flowering scent and not sweet and I do love sweet so that’s a bit sad.

Over all though I am not mad at it all and will still use it from time to time.

Ethereal Love

The opening for this is fruity but it dries down to a warm and slightly powdery vanilla.

This is a nice perfume, but I also agree with some reviews that the perfume is kinda basic. I can understand why some people may feel that this fragrance is overhyped. I actually prefer the original LNT (original formulation), but I guess this one serves its own purpose since this is much more wearable in the daytime than the original. Unlike the original, you could probably get away with wearing this throughout the year in any season.

This scent is pretty and is crowd pleasing, but nothing unique or complex. I'm happy to have this in my collection, but I wouldn't have bought this if I had the opportunity to sample it first.

baibyy

I am selling this discontinued perfume (73/75ml) for €150 + shipping from Croatia (Europe)! 🤍

soumayaela

I have la nuit trésor à la folie for months now
It was a blind buy that i didn't like that much
Everytime i wear it i'm surprised how many people notice it and complimente how amazing i smell, unlike some of my fav perfumes of my collection
I guess it leaves a powdery sweet vanillic trail that everyone seems to enjoy

Strawberrykitty

This is my favorite perfume that I don’t actually wear. I like to spray it on a stuffed animal bunny and fall asleep, inhaling the sweet vapors of nostalgia. This was a blind buy because I liked other scents from Lancôme, and ended up smelling like my late maternal grandmother’s house. She passed when I was 11 and I was absolutely shocked when I realized what I was smelling. Though, this doesn’t smell “grandma-ish,” and I resent the usage of that phrase and similar ageist phrases to describe fragrance. Just say that it isn’t to your taste and move on.

This is a powdery amber vanilla scent that is sweet but not Pink Sugar sweet. Just right imo. The rose isn’t that prominent to me, and you can definitely smell the fruity touch from the pear and black currant. I think this is “well blended” in the sense that you can’t smell a harsh transition from opening to the drydown. I’m pretty sure my grandma’s house smelled like this because of an airfreshener spray like Febreeze or her decorative potpourri and candles, but I think this would be good for night time or date nights for those that haven’t been to my grandma’s house; we all have scent associations and this happens to be mine, and that’s ok. I’ve never smelled that specific scent again, despite being in many houses with older people and potpourri over the years, so I don’t think that it was the result commercially available scented products.

I was heartbroken when my grandma passed away. She lived in a different state than us, so my family would always travel to her and my grandpa’s house in the summer. My uncles had built a swing between two big trees in their backyard, and I remember running to the swing as soon as I got to their house. I’d then go through the kitchen door into the house and find my grandma making food or downstairs in her reclining chair. I’d sit on her lap while she watched the wheel of fortune with my grandpa, eating cashews that my grandpa offered me. They’re both gone now and I wish that I had longer with them. I only spray this when I want to think of them, so I have worn this once at night going out. I mostly spray this on the bunny before going to bed and hope that I dream of them.

Rama Rama

I just purchased it because I smelled it once on a paper and I falled in love with the scent sooooooooooooooooo beautiful vanilla to my nose the prettiest vanilla done in perfumes ever. So I worked hardly to get this beauty and I finally have it, but you know what?! as much as I was excited when I was unboxing as much as I feel disappointed now. Simply this has NO projection NO NOTHING literally Nothing NONE. You need to stick your nose at your arm to get a smell. and it's not cheap price. So what's the point paying this money and not being able to smell the perfume?!
I was disappointed when I heard the news that this is discontinued, but now I don't care because will never think of repurchase, I would love to know if there are alternative with better performance. Or maybe try the OG la Nuit Trésor maybe it perfomes better but I can see why they discontinued this because despite of heavenly smell it's not upgraded to be EDP so faint hardly EDT

neferpitoo

Really disliked this, it's just peppery and floraly, I got it because it was described as a gourmand but I was disappointed for that. Definitely doesn't smell edible, but it's pleasant after the first hour or two, not particularly sweet but just a more tame flower scent, the initial pepper floral is very strong and overwhelming, hurts my nose.

habiba ahmed

I just bought it..at first sniff it's strong and annoying i hate the top notes..but after an hour of wearing this perfume ..it dried down on my skin to a beautiful fluffy vanilla with a hint of soft spices ..the oppeninng reminds me of an arabian perfume store..but after an hour ohh my goddness the vanilla in here is well done.😍.i hate spicess but i love it in this perfume as it 's just a hint of it🥰❤️❤️❤️
I love floral fruity perfumes so this perfume is totally different from my taste but it changes the game for me ❤️🔥..it's a mystrious and sexy perfume😍✨️

zokhruf.omer

It's available on the Lancome US website for USD120. May have been discontinued but is either back in production or theyve found some bottles to sell off.....

Samanthaheer

I used to love the original Tresor and this smells like a watered down version of the OG with some pink pepper for lightness and cherry vanilla pipe tobacco. Too cloying for me but some may like its sweet, cherry vanilla musky scent attractive. It’s a beautiful scent, but too sweet for me.

Rim.marhfour

smells amazing but on me for some reason i smell it as a minty fresh vanilla

dinosaursdidexist

This perfume is absolutely beautiful. I don’t get much light and fruity but on my skin it turns into this gorgeous, dark, smokey and slightly powdery vanilla and it’s last foreverrrrr. Definitely one which depends on your skin chemistry, I think. I’m surprised it’s not listed as being similar to Lira - the two are quite similar on me!

Shahrzaad

Sophisticated sweet, and the most seductive fragrance I own for sure!

canabena

I like this its very reminiscent to Coach Dreams Sunset. Its very spicy yet soft and sweet, the ambroxan throws me off just a little bit but I can get past it.Spiced scents arent usually my favourite but I can appreciate this one.I dont think id repurchase but I will enjoy my bottle while it lasts.

Sal Eless

I was a fan of La Nuit Trésore until this one came out. I love this one WAY more! It’s sweeter and not as spicy as La Nuit Trésore. Definitely one of my most favourite fragrances.

Longevity is great, moderate to intimate sillage.

anna222

It’s a very nice fragrance but nothing special, it’s sweet and a bit caramel-ly to me. It is good for lasting and projection though.

girldeadbug

Dries down smelling pretty close to Thierry Mugler Angel Muse EDP. More sweetness and the patchouli is less screechy, so it’s more mass-appealing.

I quite like what I can smell but it doesn’t stick around long. Definitely not as long as the OG La Nuit Tresor does. I have to spray a bit of A La Folie for it to create a scent cloud, while with LNT I just gotta spray 2-3 times.

I’ve tried ALF twice before this third time and couldn’t smell it. This third time I can smell it but it’s kinda disappointing, the projection I mean.

Would I buy it? At the right price maybe. For now I’m using an 8mL decant. We’ll see how it goes.

autumnblue914

Boozy but light vanilla with rose. Slightly fruity and powdery. For such a delicious, boozy and fruity vanilla it's surprisingly light. Among the more unique vanillas I've smelled personally. And it's also lighter than the OG LNT.

All in all I like it a lot. Absolutely delicious vanilla.

Such a shame it's been discontinued.

Catnipple

I had this fragrance for over 2 years now and it still smells of dusty benzoin with a slight hint of vanilla and the longevity on me is horrible. So yes this fragrance does heavily depend on body chemistry!

sweetprincessbaby

it’s a basic feminine, “seductive” perfume, nothing too outstanding imo. defo for colder weather

susana_lago

I got this one gifted last year, the 75 mL bottle (the biggest one available). I like it, and I feel like this one is the only truly "romantic" fragrance in my collection.

It smells like a more mature version of an intense vanilla with soft currant and wild fruits (synthetic ones), pear and pepper. The most intense and noticeable note in this perfume through all its development is the vanilla, at least to my nose. At first spray, it smells quite alcoholic to me, but it continues developing and start smelling also a bit like some kind of flowers.

I feel like it gives totally the same vibes as La Belle Le Parfum by JPG, to my nose they smell quite similar, but I find La Belle Le Parfum a lot more intense, artificial and plasticky.

The sillage is not bad at first, but it goes down A LOT really quickly... The durability is absolutely not good on me, around 1'5 - 3 hours, that's when I can only smell it only a bit when I put my wrist very close to my nose. This is the only bad thing I can say about this perfume.

I feel like this one is suitable for all seasons, but not all occasions... Maybe that's me, but I find it good for a romantic date or for going out for a drink, because of it's primp vibes and sexiness. I find it a bit of a dark mysterious perfume, more suitable for woman in their 25 +.

I'm not going through it as fast as I thought I would, but I really crave it and enjoy it from time to time.

Veronika95

I feel like this perfume is more reactive to your skin than most ... It either goes with your chemistry or not. And I know this is supposed to be the case for all perfumes, but this one is particularly stubborn. When it suits you, it's so incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately, it's been discontinued and it's getting out of shelves fast, so there's really no point in trying this, if you didn't already.

hkm279

My sister bought me this one as a present, in the bottle it smells nice, on my skin it smells like urine, very unpleasant, and it doesn’t settle, really wanted to like this :( not sure if anyone else has this too?

strawberrystar

This is nice, a very soft scent that stays close to the skin. In the beginning it really reminds me of La Belle Le Parfum, but then there is this coriander-like smell that appears on my skin and I find it repulsive. I hope it will go away so that I can enjoy the sweet vanilla everybody is experiencing.

noodlehead19

rich & complex vanilla! there's a medicinal note in here that I find super interesting (could it be the nutmeg??). I get a hint of fruitiness in the opening that I really enjoy, I think it does a lot to lighten everything up just a bit. the star of the show is the vanilla though, a little boozy, a little woody, VERY sexy. lasts forever on the skin and even longer on clothes, great scent for date night or just to feel powerful & seductive.

SereneWerewolf

This was a blind buy. I needed it because I completely adore floral gourmands and the reviews hyped me up to expect a yummy, sexy vanilla rose desert… this turned out very differently for me but I’m not complaining.

This seems to react differently on my skin than on most. The main notes of vanilla and rose are blatantly there but the woody base is strong and is really what drives this fragrance on me. The wood is a light, vanilla wood at its core but the pepper and spice notes merge with it and give it a bit of darkness and depth which prevent a pencil shaving effect from happening.

Let me take a step back and reiterate here, the woodiness does not merely drive this fragrance on my skin but absolutely dominates. It is a feminine woodiness but it is STRONG.

The rose is deep and sensual and soft and velvety. The phrase “gentle red” comes to mind.

This is not a gourmand by any means on my skin and is definitely not sexy on me either but it is very elegant and is romantic in a maternal sort of way. A warm, securing embrace by a large and fancy lady who is sweet and soft but also strong and supportive.

Dina France

I like that the rose is hidden behind other flowers because I do not like obvious roses. Peaches are not listed as a note, but I still get their sweetness in here. It's a yummy and sexy perfume. I do not buy it because it is so similar to many other fragrances.

DinaFrance (perfume reviews on youtube)

itsamarshmallowworld

This is a beautiful and romantic scent that conjures up the image of warm red berries and vanilla custard with a dash of nutmeg. It is a delicate and sweet rose scent for those who generally don’t enjoy roses. Moderate diffusion on my skin, and it is long lasting (7+ hours), much longer on clothing (24+ hours).

islandgirlmaranda

I just purchased this based on reviews. I really like it! Successful blind buy! Yeah!!! I am glad I went for the largest! I will say the scent is gorgeous, seductive, delectable, warm, and inoffensive. Like a warm/berry tart dessert topped with whipped cream. It also reminds me of a B&BW candle I ordered years ago called Sweet Cherry Pie (Bright red berries, flaky pie crust, crushed almonds.) That candle was to die for. I only get a few hours out of it, but those couple hours are glorious. The opening is mouth-watering.You guys, this is BEAUTIFUL. It's got the same softness/coziness style that Hypnotic Poison EDT has.

Scents of Sue

I bought this as a blind buy a while ago, and have tried over and over and over again with this fragrance and hated it more and more each time. I was so ready to get rid of it. But so many people love this fragrance and I desperately wanted to experience it- today I did.

Today I sprayed this on my clothing only and it is amazing! I was spraying this on my pulse points and it was awful and musty, I also now live in an area where it doesn’t get cold often so that may have been contributing to my hatred. This is definitely for cold weather and it’s beautiful.

Carre K

This is the most gorgeous vanilla based dream perfume, absolute perfection. I simply CAN NOT understand why Lancome chose to discontinue this seductress of a fragrance? The original La nuit Tresor is also lovely, 10/10, but this has a creamy softness with just a tiny hint of smokiness which makes my mouth water and my soul shiver. Best perfume, ever.

Edit: found two 30 ml backups for a bargain price, I am over the moon!💕 It is the first time I have ever bought a backup, so that should tell something about how much I love this fragrance.

BougieGirlShops

This is quite a delightful fragrance. I haven't tried OG Tresor yet but I got a travel size of La Folie to test out simply because of all the rave reviews. I kind of knew what to expect going in because I have heard so much about Tresor and it's flankers but it still was a pleasant surprise when I first sprayed it on.

It has an interesting balance of being both spicy and resinous, yet manages to pull off feeling delicate. It's like you know underneath all of this, without the pear and berries, there's a ambery powerhouse there. Yet it is very restrained to just a soft echo of that, creating a very feminine floral almost bordering on gourmand. If you close your eyes, you can catch something like syrupy poached spiced pears.

The one downside for me, being someone in my 40's, it's very sweet and the dry down is very much akin to sugared pears and vanilla. Not sure I can pull it off and I wish there was more of that heady spice that stayed throughout.

While not the same at all, I would say that if you like JPG La Belle le Parfum Intense, you will like this. Similar spicy vibes with cooked pears. I feel that one is spicier and suits my style better.

2 good sprays to my wrist lasted approx. 3 hrs beefore it became a vanillic skin scent.

Cresselia

I need more bottles before they’re all copped

Ferukat

I smelled this the other day and I went nuts. This is the love of my life, I feel like I need to stop collecting perfumes because it’s the only one I will ever need. I smell like a fine delicacy, it Carries such a gourmand aroma I can’t stop sniffing my wrists, I’m not kidding when I say I wish I could shower in this. I got the 75ml bottle for half the price (thank you Cristmas discount!) and I’ve got to say I’ve never liked a fragrance more. I’m happy, I’m enchanted and I’m satisfied.

amanda0727

Wow, didn't expect to like this as much as I do. Probably the best flanker in the line. Slightly gourmand (like berry tart vibes) but not a straight gourmand, very wearable. A little spicy but not too warm/heavy. Can detect the Tresor DNA for sure. And I am starting to realize I really LOVE pink pepper notes in fragrances. I need a full bottle of this! Happily decluttering my Delina Exclusif for this gem as I don't think this smells mature at all, on the other hand Delina Exclusif is straight grandma perfume. I just wished this one lasted half as long as Delina Exclusif.

ozlemmenguloglu

please release it again Lancome.
we really need it.

sophronia

My precious. My mother bought me this perfume from duty free on the border between Czech Republic and Austria during her trip to Europe (June 2022). I only had one request and I don't regret getting it. I waited for this season to use it more comfortably and now I enjoy it. However, I must say that the longevity is not very satisfying to me.
It opens energetic thanks to the fruits in the top notes (I especially pick red fruits clearly). The flowers in the middle notes add a sophisticated air to it, while the base notes make it warm and mysterious. In this fragrance, I see the portrait of a strong woman (25+) who is early in her career.

ozlemmenguloglu

is it discontinued?

Cupcake11

This is a true gourmand! On my skin, after the dry down, I get a berry swirl of a vanilla cupcake. Don't try this unless you like smelling like a walking dessert!

Pretty good longevity of 6+ hours on my skin. Def stays long on clothing.

Ifeabi

I like it. I think this perfume really shines in the dry down like 20 minutes plus. It smells like a warm, sweet and heavy tonka and vanilla. I feel like I have vanilla fragrance that I gravitate towards more than this one so it kinda gets forgotten. I have a 50ml that I’ve only used twice. I will sell for a fantastic price. Get in touch if interested x

sexonlegs

It smells like the plastic when you wear a halloween mask.... but somehow in a good way. I don't own this fragrance, I did try it and I'm still thinking about it till this day. It's keeping me curious. Someone said a stranger had come up to her because it was so delicious she just had to know what scent she was wearing. Worth to buy because it comes in such a beautiful bottle, I wouldn't mind wearing it either

nateya

Slightly floral fruity vanilla. The opening smells like a perfumey pear and then the florals start to creep through. The dry down is a very warm vanilla. On paper this sounds like it should be perfect but I honestly think it’s just okay. It doesn’t last long at all on my skin and it also doesn’t project that well.

Now this is completely different to the OG (I really don't like the Original) this one's beautiful but it's not unique and has no lasting power at all, and I'm an oversprayer such a shame but I'm glad I have it I just know it is not a perfume to use on a date or night out etc, I'll use it at home

Edit: waiiiiiit this smells exactly like la vie est belle but less potent

leyla_quiles

This smells like a waterd down version of 5th Avenue. Pass

Mia-Marleen

So disappointed in this 😔 I was looking for a winter - nighttime - going out - perfume with some berries and vanilla, so I bought this. But it doesn' t project and last at all. Even my handcream smells and projects more 🙄 I don't know, what is happening lately with Tresors, they aren't so strong as they used to be.
Has anyone had this problem with their lately boughten Tresor Nuit perfumes??

Lyric82

Oh wow. This is stunning. It actually makes my mouth water. And absolutely gorgeous juicy, warm spicey, rosey vanilla. I can’t even get over it, just amazing. Great performance, nice bottle… there’s nothing to not be in love with here.

Adjr1087

Why would this be discontinued? :(
This is the second best flanker of La Nuit. My other favorite is Nude.
This scent is extremely sexy!

DelianaCP

I’m a big fan of the OG but this one is beautiful. It’s the dry down that makes this fragrance shine, it’s so sweet and creamy. I love this!

Scents of a woman

Oh my days…. This is pretty! The bottle is adorable and the scent is very nice. The original gave me a massive migraine but is good. This one is perfect for autumnal nights when you’re cozying up to your love and or heading out for a date night. It lingers and is not overly sweet. It smells amazing!! I layer this one all the time and it works with quite a few scents. It’s perfect on its own.

alyssarware

Warm, seductive, cozy. Someone mentioned to me that it smells like red velvet cake and I could totally see that. Sweet without being too sweet and very pretty

violetelle

Yummy, warm and comforting. Best after a few hours’ wear and the plastickyness of the tonka has faded. I also find I can’t always smell this on myself when wearing it but I love when it’s been left behind on whatever I’ve worn. It’s sweet but not cloying at all. Smells expensive and high quality to me. There’s a touch of smokiness. Such a shame it’s been discontinued, why do all the good ones go? I’ll cherish my bottle (which is just stunning btw) and will try to stock up while I still can.

am_xo

Powdery play dough/urine? like bourbon vanilla with a fruity touch. Like a mature version of Mix bar Vanilla bourbon. I prefer the latter

Update: this is way better for cooler weather, the urine like smell is completely gone lol it smells great now

Nay0711_

This is my most complimented fragrance and I really enjoy the smell, buttttt after couple minutes I can not smell myself anymore, that’s the only downside! I would say this is more a night time perfume, but can be worn in any season or time of the day! I prefer this over the original nuit

karamelle

This made me sick to my stomach, which is sad because I thought I’d love it :( it’s so weird I can’t even describe the scent. I get no vanilla or amber whatsoever. Glad I didn’t blind buy this based on reviews. Highly recommend everyone to try it before buying

miss_aly

Finally got this baby in the mail! I own the original La Nuit Tresor, which I love. So I was excited to try this one! It smells very similar to La Nuit, but with berries in the opening and sliiiightly less heavy with the vanilla. But don't get me wrong, this is definitely a sweet gourmand bomb! It's perfect for anyone who grew up wearing perfumes from VS, and wants to smell similar yet more refined/grown up. So delicious and addictive. Longevity for this is decent, but I think La Nuit lasts a tad longer on me. I love both, but I feel like if you have one, you probably don't need both. I'll probably end up layering the two together whenever I wear it!

bad_flo

It is fruity it is floral it Is sexy and gourmand with a slight dark elegant twist to it. I just cant keep myself from sniffing my arm. At first it smells strong like redcurrant and pear then it opens up a heart of vanilla and rose. That nutmeg and tonka beans are addictive. I absolutely love it. I will purchase the replicas if i won't find the original anymore

ConcreteRose

This smelled like a Bronx Lincoln town car cab! If ur from New York you’ll know what I mean 🤣

Harmony Grace Elohim

This is the perfect perfume. It's like being wrapped head to toe in plum colored satiny silk. It's soft, powdery, very feminine and subtle. It's the absolutly most precise balance between soft amber and powdery vanilla. It's supremely sophisticated without any pretence. I could wear this any time of year or to any occation. I usually only find and like fall and winter scents but this one I can wear all year, especially, I think, in the summer. It feels so sultry and deeply comforting, sunny days as wells as on a dark, rainy day. If I was only allowed one perfume for the rest of my life, this one would be it. I can't be without it.

I'm not sure if it has been discontinued or not, but the rumor is out there.

JuicedupD

I really wanted to love this because I heard so many great reviews. However, I don't get any of the vanilla or amber notes. All I can smell from this is some sort of nasty artificial cherry note. For some reason, it smells like cherry throat spray or cherry cough drops.

soumayaela

Didn't like it at first
Big mistake!
Now i love it so much

zephyr14

I live in the tropics, this isn’t a warm weather fragrance. It’s nice, but not for me, headache inducing as well. After trying to like it for so long, I finally gave it out.

Diotyma88

This is amazing. My skin tends to drink up many fragrances. I have problems to find something that is not too strong (and only evening appropriate) nor too weak and not worth the money. This is perfect - not too strong, not too boring, not too weak and sweet, but with kick. Looove

shannfernando

I live in a tropical climate and this is an absolute beast. Gutted that I have to let it go as soon as I received it. But, I have to be honest. It's too much for 32 degree celcius weather. I have close to a 100 perfumes and I need to only keep those which I will genuinely use. And this is not one which I will get any use out of.

Boy, do I envy you guys who have seasons and colder weather !! This must be beautiful in the colder weather!!!

oceanorchid

Just discovered this, and holy wow. I have never smelled anything like this. To call it a wonderful fragrance would be a huge understatement. Of all the Trésor's I've smelled, this is by far the best.

likesleet

this smelled like gingerbread to me!

malikun

I like ALF a lot, even though I am not a fan of gourmands and I get chocolate and raspberry or some other berry here.I think ALF designed to be worn on dates to make your partner want to softly lean towards your neck and whisper romantic gibberish … or maybe, just maybe , for you to spray on your scarf then nonchalantly forget it on his car seat so that he could pick it up and let his nostrils carve on his heart the shape of your body and sound of your laugh…I blind bought A La Folie recently and when I tested it I got flashbacks from high school. I realized it reminded me of YSL Baby Doll perfume that my mom got me back in 2007. Not only the pyramid, the bottle also shares Baby Doll’s DNA - a cute spinning top, a real work of art. I think it is a definite must try!

LSAUG

I agree w/ the review below. Pickled flowers but I would add there is something metallic as well. It is the ambroxan. This perfume is an ambroxan bomb so if you are sensitive to that note and I am stay away from this. Very cheap smelling. Then it goes on to be a cheap vanilla w/ a coffee note. I know coffee isn't listed but I smell it. I own 1 perfume from this line the Musk Diamond and I have a mini of the Nude. Those are ok but more layering perfumes. I think this line is all about selling you the beautiful diamond shaped bottles. The perfumes are not that great.

HellsBelle

This is so weird to me. The first 3-5 minutes smells like...eh...pickled flowers. It's the ambroxan, btw, that makes me think of pickles. I know that only because I have a bottle of ambroxan in my perfume lab. Then it sort of falls into a dense cloud of puffy vanilla. Vanilla, vanilla, and more vanilla. Maybe some Extremely fluffy yellow cake - aaaand then more vanilla. Vanilla for hours and ages. Nothing but vanilla.

I hope I don't sound displeased, cause I'm not. I'm the opposite of displeased.
I've never understood the attraction of "just vanilla" - it always struck me as bland and boring.
This is not. This is Interesting vanilla; varm, soft, fluffy, and wonderful!

This is what Hypnotic Poison would smell like, if it smelled good.

aflakes

WOW...I blind bought this one and I figured it would be good based on the reviews, but I didn't know it was going to be THIS good! This is by far the yummiest, sexy fragrance I own. I do get the baked cookies vibe in the beginning with a little bit of spice, but as it dries down, there's this sweet vanilla that lasts and lasts. I'm not a fan of the lancome fragrances at all, but la nuit a la folie will STAY in my collection.

Since it's summer time, I will have to wait until Fall/Winter to wear this. I tested it out in the heat, and it's not terrible, but based on how this smells, it's going to turns heads in cooler weather. This was a very successful blind buy!

ArtByLeia

Ok, I started out loving this, but after smelling it a bunch of time, I started almost despising it. It's indeed very very sweet. I think the red currant kinda ruined it for me, I'm not sure, but wouldn't say this is a good blind buy

عطر الياسمين

This perfume is simply MAGICAL! In 2020, I went shopping and tried this perfume at a sephora store.. at first it did not really grab my attention but I kept the test strip in my pocket and when I got home I put it on the nightstand next to my bed.. and guys let me tell youuu I just got hypnotized!! i kept smeelling it the whole time and it smells so sexy and feminine but still a bit mysterious.. it is definitely an aphrodisiac scent.. The next day I went directly to the store and bought it because I couldn’t wait any longer!!! And since then It became my absolute favorite.. On me it smells like a smoky floral vanilla.. I always get so many compliments from both men and women!

basgam

This smells nothing like La Nuit Trésor EDP, and to my nose it smells very generic, with tons of pink pepper, especially at opening, which (to me) throws La Nuit Trésor à la Folie into the less-luxurious-smell category. I can't smell the promised out of the oven warm cupcake, nor can I smell berries or vanilla pudding. It's more vanilla-pink peeper-sparkly rose to me, and it lacks that depth which melts into skin to create an irresistible scent.

wafflesandsyrup

STOCK UP, GUYS! They discontinued it!

norhal96

Sadly the base notes are too dense for me, I like the fragrance but I prefer more airy scents. It's just soo thicc it keeps me full.

Ceekel

This is one if my best fragrances. This will pick you up all day long. Yes this is for the vanilla lovers. This is just not vanilla, but has a debt to it. This will get you noticed and the price isn't bad either. Definitely full bottle worthy

SimonsTux

This is a very pretty scent. I get vanilla and general floral but I'd consider it a gourmand. Lighter and sweeter than the OG. Performance is on the higher side of average, but nothing special like the original. Versatile; year round, day or night. Lancome really knows how to do perfume. I love this line, Idole, LVEB/intensement. LNTALF has been discontinued, getting hard to find, $$.

*loves_shoes*

BUY THIS LIMITED EDITION FLANKER WHILE YOU CAN!

I blind bought 30ml based on reviews, just to see what the hype was about.
And it’s really good.
A stunning warm, fruity, vanilla.
The florals are not identifiable, they just give complexity and roundness to the fragrance.
As it dries, it develops a delicious soft spicy richness, you can smell a lot of benzoin on the skin (nose to skin!), it has a slightly medicinal edge to it. But all that projects is a warm, sweet yet spicy, amber vanilla. It has a lovely depth to it that is often missing from most fruity florals I try.

I own that tropical looking skull (Police to be exotic jungle) and it smells NOTHING like this to my nose. Exotic jungle is a plain vanilla fruity floral and has NONE of the delicious softly spicy benzoin and tonka in this.

A la folie is wonderful and I wish I’d bought a bigger bottle.

Edit: I should say that I can’t really smell ambroxan properly, but this is still lovely as there’s plenty else her to smell. And maybe the ambroxan is what makes it project so well and last so long.

Edit 2: same day, 9 hours later and I just bought 2 back up bottles. It’s that good.

Edit 3: Directly compared to the original La Nuit using testers still available in the airport. A La Folie projected more, and lasted longer (it lasted through an 18 hour 2 flight trip, and was still present as a skin scent when I was trying to test new things in our final destination!).

fingertips00

Why do they always discontinue the best flankers I don't get it everyone loves this

zephyr14

I just got this today,a blind buy and I’m a bit disappointed. I absolutely dislike tonka bean and it seems to stand out a lot to me in this fragrance, and rose as well. I love the dry down, that’s when I get the vanilla. The opening seems a bit medicinal and longevity is about 3-4 hours on me, sillage is moderate. (Hubby can still perceive it).

I review it again after using it a few times. I’m really trying to like it.

Maria19

This became one of my favorites. Vanilla is not too overpowering, tonkabean balances the scent. First spray is a little bit sharp, but then the vanilla comes through. Easy to wear and easy to like.

ErinlyT

Ok, I’m not saying they’re dupes because they definitely are not, BUT… the dry-down of La Nuit Tresor a La Folie definitely gives me the same vibes as the dry-down of TF Lost Cherry. Vanilla-tonka-powdery and a little fruity with both. And frankly, really delicious. I enjoy the dry-down of A La Folie (and TF Lost Cherry) immensely.

This one is a stunner though. To me it’s a completely versatile, any occasion fragrance, that just smells GOOD. Top notch.

amxx

absolutely fkin amazing. that's all I have to say.
u need this if ur a vanilla lover. period.

CreamSunshine

I had to wear this fragrance for 2 whole days before I could give a proper review. I didn’t let myself look at the notes, so blindly, I thought once the fragrance settles it smells like sweet salted marshmallows with a bit of iris. In the opening, I couldn’t even guess any notes, it just smelled sweet and “perfume-y” in a pleasant way.

For awhile during the wear, I was in love and I was sure I wanted a full bottle… but after about 8 hours of wear on day 2, the scent suddenly started to feel “too much”, like my nose was really tired of it and wanted it gone. Looking at the notes, now I realize that was the tonka bean (my nose/brain mixes up iris and tonka sometimes). The tonka bean gets too irritating for me after many hours; it’s like the tonka just keeps getting stronger instead of weaker with wear. So I won’t be buying this one after all, even though I really enjoy the first several hours of the scent.

chloe_pip

I blind bought this after reading the reviews and being a big fan of the original LNT. On first sniff I was really disappointed. Its peppery alcohol. But as the minutes pass it transforms into a warm, vanillary, spicy, yummy scent! It doesn't last as long or project as the original, but for me is a completely different scent as is a great addition to anyone's collection! I like it more every time I spray it, and think it could become one of my favourites.

jmarie92

Delicious, complex and ooooh so good! This starts with a quick rush of spicy fruit but immediately morphs into creamy, spicy, sweet goodness! The vanilla, tonka and nutmeg combo carries this on my skin! It’s not listed but I get an undertone of something “menthol”, like a hint of tobacco in the back? It’s heavenly! A massive compliment-getter as well! Men LOOOOVE this! ;-)

nessa_arroyo

I'm very conflicted with this one. I think it's the tonka bean on the dry down, but my skin pulls it out above all notes and not in a good way. I hate the smell on my skin which is such a shame, because on clothes it's beautiful. It's still sweet but you can still smell the florals on clothes. But on my skin all I get is tonka bean and perhaps nutmeg? Patchouli isn't strong thankfully since my nose can easily pick it up and I'm usually not a fan, in comparison to the original La Nuit Trésor which to me the patchouli really stands out. The drydown on my skin is an odd scent and not in a yummy way. It's a shame.

cumhrán

I really love this perfume. I sneakily sniff my wrist throughout the day when I'm wearing this. I find it cozy warm sweet scent, just lovely. Exactly the scent I was looking for, I'd be close to saying this could be my signature scent. Haven't received any compliments on it though while wearing it so unsure of the projection but I'm sure it'll be a definite all time favorite for me

Jauhaune

The perfume is fine, complimentgetter at work. It smells fine but it is something about it that bothers my airways.
It is sweet vanilla with some berries and it is a little bit powdery.
I need to have a specific day, feeling or event to use it though. Love the bottle.

Emeraldgreen

One of my all time favorites! It's so yummy, fruity and the vanilla in the drydown is devine🥰

hazi

It smells like a warm vanilla cupcake with red berries. As long as it stays on my skin, I get a powdery feeling. Easier to use than la nuit tresor and suitable for general taste

gospogjicata

I wasn't buying this fragrance because here it's compared to La vie est belle Intensement which I have, and when I tried it in store I got a similarity as well. But I decided to give it another chance and now I'm buying my backup bottle because they have removed it from the stores (I can only find it online at a good discount).

I don't quite like the original LNT, it's a bit too sharp for me, this has some of the original DNA but it's more refined and elegant. And the Nude flanker is beautiful but it can entirely new fragrance.

Let me try to describe the scent, warm boozy elegant vanilla & tonka bean, roses and some berries, the red currant I guess, one of my favorites scents this season, I wear it every day. This is a bit powdery, vanilla - fruity scent worn mostly for the night, but can be worn during the day as well.

Longevity on the skin is moderate, I would say about 4-5 hours, but on clothes, this is beastly (+8 hours).
Overall rating 9/10.
Cannot wait to try the Intense flanker when they bring it in stores.

Marianna Lival

One of my favorite perfumes of all time and backup-worthy (esp because it's being discontinued in the US). Sweet berry/floral well rounded by a ambery vanilla - this is sultry, classy, and comforting and I absolutely love wearing it to bed. It's a nice balance of cozy, comforting, and nostalgic and a crowd pleaser as well. Longevity 12+ hours and strong projection/sillage.

Update - I now have three backup bottles lol. This has become my most complimented fragrance and my signature as well. Few examples of compliments I've received - one day I went furniture shopping and left my home at 11am-ish. I was at my last stop around 7pm and a woman asked me what I was wearing. Mind you this is hours later AND I had a wool coat on. Another night I went out and a woman my group was with said "you smell magnificent, what is that?" and continued to call me "magnificent smelling woman" the rest of the night!

If my house was on fire and I could only grab one bottle of perfume this would be it. Absolutely amazing.

piahellgren

Boozy smokey bourbon vanilla tonka rose with red berries and the most beautiful nutmeg. I wonder if people really understand how delicious this is. The pear in the opening is subtle as is the patchouli in its base. Stunning perfume, unreal.

dyrdkk

It is fresh, sweet and powdery. I love powdery perfumes. So the violet was a nice suprise for me, bcs I expected something just sweet. But this one is more. The vanilla in the drydown is magic. And the woods give it a little depth.

claudiasweet

This is my favourite perfume at the moment. It smells just delicious and sweet: vanilla, berries and some flowers, don t know exactly what. But it s super yummy and 100% feminine, no unisex trace in it. I m happy to read that not too many women like this one🙂 Because when I feel my favourite perfume on too many women, I have to quit that perfume. It s such a shame they will discontinue it!!! I can t believe it. Why they do that???

emilyjxne

Most YouTubers & Instagrammers I see discussing the La Nuit Tresor line, recommend both the original LNT & this flanker. I knew they would be different & that is true but they are literally day & night. I am disappointed as LNT is so special and this…isn’t but then I am also able to appreciate this flanker for what it is. It does remind me of both La vie est belle Intensement & JPG - La Belle La Parfum. You don’t need all 3, the former didn’t even need to exist as it’s by the same brand & created after A La Folie & the latter is my favourite.
If you’re looking for something less sharp & in your face than LNT or one for day time, this is the one.
On one hand I feel like this is your autumn/winter daytime LNT tresor, the original is the night & nude being the spring/summer option but I also feel like the original is your out in the club trying to catch someone’s attention whereas this one is your “I have a date that’s going to lead to the bedroom” scent as it’s closer to the skin, more intimate. A dainty & powdery floral vanilla but with light fruitiness.

Nora Gad

Unfortunately i didn't like it at all ,it's too powdery on my skin and i didn't get any fruits just a huge amount of powder with little touch of Vanilla , because of these woody notes

AleshaA

Didn’t like the original la nuit tresor this one is rounder sweeter still very synthetic something in this dna I just can’t stand. This one is wearable I guess doesn’t last long wouldn’t buy Lancôme tresor line ever again disappointing synthetic

chapoopee

I really, really wanted to love this but it just did not do it for me. I genuinely thought it would be more my style than the original LNT, but alas, I enjoy that one much more. Pretty well all I got from this was a creamy vanilla cloud and not much else. It's alright but nothing special to me. The bottle is beautiful, but so are all the others in this line, so I ended up trading this.

Emera1d

It does really remind me of D&G The Only One 2. It has this plastic-ey fruity smell, which rubs me the wrong way. For a vanilla perfume, I don't think is very good. I can smell it more in the air then when I sniff my wrists, and don't think the sillage is too bad, just not a room filler. It is too artificial smelling to my nose to find it yummy or sexy. Will probably put it up for swap.

Heidi2021

Love this so much. It's a delicious perfume. I can smell a very lovely vanilla, a little bit of rose and berries and creamy woody notes. So sweet, a bit spicy, yummy and longlasting. Suits anytime, anywhere in fall and winter. Bottle is also beautiful!

I'm sad, how could they discontinue this gorgeous fragrance!!!!

ArtByLeia

I love it but it doesn't last on me or my clothes really? I'm surprised over the reviews saying that it lasts very long

keithscents

This is one of my favorite scents as of the moment. You can smell rose, jasmine and pink pepper on initial spray but it dries down as creamy vanilla. Lasts hours on skin and clothes. Compliment-getter for sure.

Rating this 9/10

Ella_22

This fragrance is a creamy vanilla magic potion. I wore it out for the first time tonight and I have never had so many people ask me what perfume I was wearing. (Also, men seem to love this fragrance). This fragrance gives me sweet creamy dessert vibes. Very gourmand. Makes me feel feminine, attractive and very sexy, but in a sophisticated way.

Lianne311211

I own all the tresor la nuit range with the exception of the musk one. The a la folie is very nice! This comes under my collection of deep, sweet, jammy seductive scents think nina ricci l'extase rose absolu, good girl supreme, signorina misteriosa. I had to check this perfume to see if there was cherry in the notes, I get a very jammy cherry wrapped in a creamy bourbon vanilla. Feels like an expensive cherry bakewell tart, very warm and cosy. It's very sweet, delicious, inviting. Perfect for winter but I wear it whenever. It lasts a very long time, sillage is moderate but if you over spray, like most perfumes everyone will smell you.

SanjuktaB

This has to be the most pleasing perfume in the world. You can wear it on a first date, brunch with the girls, meeting the inlaws for the first time or at work where your colleagues wont get offended. It is for all ages and all seasons except the hot summer months. The vanilla tonka drydown is the highlight of this composition. It has a rose note but its quite mixed in with the berries and vanilla. I'd say that if you are uncomfortable with rose , you can still give this a go. Another reviewer mentioned that Lancome Roses Berberanza, Parfait de Roses and Tresor A la folie is in the same family and I totally agree with her.

Ella_22

This is definitely a fragrance for cooler weather or nighttime. It’s sweet, in a rich and creamy way. Someone compared it to Christmas baking and I totally agree. It smells very gourmand. Delicious berries and juicy pear in the opening, followed up by a creamy sweet vanilla. It reminds me of a berry cake, of soft velvet and hugs.

Princess_Moth

This is gorgeous and gourmand heavy on the vanilla. To my nose this smells like the baby of Gold Couture or Prada and Italica Xerjoff withouth the balsamic note . It is not a stronge perfume thats why I would recommend this for date or close encounters its doesnt project strong but its beautiful and yummy will get you compliments. The price is kinda big and not really justified but hey buy a small bottle and use it for special night outs and dates only

Szafirowy czar

Not my favourite scent, there's just too much vanilla in it to my taste and it ends up overwhelming you with its warmth and sweetness

Rimazy

Better quality version of fancy jessica simpson. Not my vibe though.

Leahk412

Recently got this and I was not too impressed at first, as it smelled like cherries and vanilla to me. But I have been wearing it since and have fallen in love. To me this is the scent of Christmas, of fairies baking red berry pies and sugared vanilla cake, of watching the Nutcracker! I get such holiday vibes and berry-vanilla goodness from La Nuit Tresor A La Folie
♥️🍒✨🍄🌲🍰🧚🏼♀️

Siv7Stars

Got this today & my initial impression is that it's way patch heavier than I was expecting from others reviews.. I get rose n vanilla & patch mainly. I thought it would be more puddingy than Nuit & Nude but although there is more vanilla it doesn't seem gourmand on me.. just sweet. I like it but it's not the bomb I was hoping for. Pretty bottle though, love the dark red colour.

Millapetrovich

From the mid to the drydown, it smells identical to Police to be exotic. The opening is a little different but the Police one has a better performance and a better price point.

Jacklyn's Perfumery

I am all about jammy gourmand rose fragrances and if you love jammy roses then this one is for you. I had been wanting to get this fragrance for a long time. La Nuit a la Folie is so beautiful. If you love Maison Lancome's Roses Berberanza or Parfait de Roses this is a must have because it feels like it's in the same family of fragrances. I got out my bottle of Parfait de Roses to be curious and it smells a bit like the DNA of Parfait de Roses without the powdery sugar but with more added vanilla. Lancome has a distinct rose accord they use that is always familiar in their rose based fragrances which I love. I feel more comfortable spraying this one more because the others are discontinued and are very expensive and special. This is a well blended bourbon vanilla like you smell in Dior Addict and it's mixed with red currant, rose with some spice from the nutmeg but its not overly spicy..definately has tonka to sweeten it up...it's so well blended and sweet and feels a bit creamy because of the bourbon vanilla. I am so happy I got this fragrance. A la Folie lasts and it's dense and the scent cloud envelopes you. The vanilla is so good. Highly recommend this fragrance and the bottle in person is so gorgeous. And I have to agree with others it will grow on you as it develops over time.

I've come to really love Lancome fragrances for their quality. I feel like you always get what you pay for and I never feel like something is lacking because they focus on quality and the bottles are usually stunning. Well done on this one Lancome. I will definitely repurchase this. It's so good. Now I really want to try the original La Nuit. The sweetness in this makes me think a little bit of Tonka Imperial by Guerlain because it does have tonka. It's just so sweet like that one though that one is very smooth. Oh they are both nice in their own ways. Not the same scent at all but if you have tried Tonka Imperial then you know how sweet that is. Gorgeous! This one makes me smile. I'm so happy I got it.

Update: I got the OG La Nuit and I can smell the DNA of it in A la Folie so it's a nice reminder as I like that fragrance as well, but they are both different enough fragrances that you can own both. A la folie is the best one out of the two but both are worth owning for sure and I would like to try Nude next just because I really enjoy the quality of Lancome fragrances as of lately.

katrinawhitney

This smells like a dessert with rose within it- different from a jammy rose though (I tend to steer away from that type). It’s really beautiful and lasts well for me. Projection is closer to you, but honestly, it’s almost that type of scent in style - romantic, intimate. I happened to get close to someone while working, and they said “oh wow, you smell so good, what is that??” It’s something that is pleasant for others to get a whiff of when you’re in their space.

sara777

I adore this scent. Rich, sweet and mesmerizing. This is what I wear to the opera and when I’m going out to a nice dinner. Makes me feel put together, but still fun and charming. A gourmand scent that feels luxurious and special.

silverma

Smells like a soft, deep cherry with some hints of vanilla in the dry down, but it stays VERY close to my skin and doesn't last long... I think I get more benzoin in the dry down

MaxieF

I dont have longevity issues with this at all. It's not as long lasting as the original La nuit Tresor but it's still pretty long lasting. Projecting for a good 4 or 5 hours and then becomes a nice skin scent. This scent is sweet and vanilla but it's also very woody. I wouldn't describe it as gourmand because it's more woody than foody. But it does smell like some type of vanilla wood.. It's got baby doll smell which is controversial in the fragrance community because some say thats a result of poor ingredients/blending. I personally don't mind it.

Pear is the only fruit I can detect. Nutmeg gives it's a slightly bitter spice. The rose is undetectable to my nose.

aneslimey

Just wow! Such an amazing, mesmerizing perfume with an incredible performance. (seriously it lasts forever and I'm not an oversprayer, just 3 sprays) I realized that I was too late to try. Smelled this gem from my lovely mom and I immediately fell in love with it. It's sweet and musky (even there is no musk in the notes). I think it's not a sickening sweet, it's just sophisticated.
To be honest, I used la nuit tresor too but a la folie is my dearest because of sexyness.

Nourhan

I was super excited to try this one since I am addicted to sugary perfumes, but unfortunately was disappointed :( it smelled generic

DPrince01

Very much an aphrodisiac. I am quite impressed with this release. It is a crowd pleaser while also being more unique than majority of what is on the market in recent times. Blooms in Autumn and Spring. Very sexy.

To my nose, it is very sweet and actually powdery at times. However, the sweetness is not overbearing or sickly. It is quite a sophisticated sweetness in my opinion. I would avoid this if you are prone to headaches though. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have great longevity or sillage and I found myself getting bored of it quite quickly because of that.

Overall, I prefer this to the original La Nuit Tresor. I would recommend testing this out on your skin before purchase though.

LawmaLlama

Agree with the last review. Sweet, yummy, but gone in a flash.

Efragrantica

OMG is this fragrance is AMAZING! Vanilla at its best! The bottle is so God damn gorgeous too. La Nuit Trésor à la Folie is a special one to me. This will be my signature when the weather cools down.

laurenruth

This perfume is really sexy. Sweet, perky, yet so dark. My boyfriend loves this fragrance. As someone who doesn't like LVEB, I like the sugar level of this perfume.

Draco_Dormiens

I have a very special relationship with this perfume- I received this perfume as a gift and it started my interest in perfume world. I love this scent! It is very cozy, it almost has a Christmas vibe to it- sweet vanilla mixed with chocolate, red berries, a bit of spice with a hint of rose in background. Reminds me of some Christmas sweets with mulled wine. Although I heard from some reviewers that it can be worn all year round, it's not the case for me. I tried to wear it on cool day at the end of summer (in Northern Europe) and it was a bit too overpowering. I wear it starting from late fall till the end of winter. Longevity is good as always with Lancome fragrances- I can smell it on my skin at the end of working day- so it's some good 8 or even 9 hours after spraying, on fabric it holds up even better. If you like gourmand vanilla fragrances, it's worth a try!

Kikuyu

I´ve avoided Trésor like the plague since it came out (as I have with more or less all Lancôme perfumes), but I stumbled upon this when my daughter decided she wanted a vanilla perfume. Turns out this is quite pleasant. Light, not memorable or a must-have, inoffensive, but soft and very wearable. I´ll buy it for her and borrow it sometimes.

Czill

Maybe it’s ridiculous of me but… I detest Trésor bottles so I will not get the perfume although I LOVE this flanker.
I already own Trésor La Nuit and the bottle is probably the only reason why I hardly ever use it.

Anyway, the scent is it’s a sirupy berry-rose that reminds me of my childhood snack - a bowl of freshly picked red currant topped with white sugar eaten in the shade of my grandmas garden terrace on a sunny summer day.

fanntonyoscar

This is a strange one, but it turns out that I adore it. I’ve never smelled the original, but I can tell you that it’s not even close to LVEB in my opinion. LVEB is a migraine-inducing mess on me. With this, the initial spray is not my cup of tea because of the gigantic blast of bergamot, but this one is a chameleon. The dry down is PURE heaven! It’s a creamy, soft vanilla that is just unbelievable. I can get through the bergamot blast to enjoy the exceptional quality dry down of this beauty. It’s a keeper!!!

nurism96

It definitely shares the same DNA with the original La Nuit Trèsor, no doubt. This one, however, leans more on the sweet, creamy side (which I adore btw), whereas the original one is more "intoxicating", i get A LOT of the papyrus and patchouli notes in the original one for example. This version however is fruitier, softer, a little bit sweeter and has much more vanilla and berries, whereas the original one is also sweet but mainly because of the patchouli notes (LVEB vibes). To sum up, the original one to me is the sexy, night out sister, and this one is the intimate, sweet and cozy sister. I like both, i own the original and i'm planning to get the Folie version since i enjoy it a lot as well. It is an easy-to-like perfume, sweet, feminine... perfect for the fall-winter evenings.

Perfumepusher

Sweet, creamy and inviting. I love this one so much and so does my boyfriend

violetscout

I didn't get the hype at first. It was so subtle and light all I smell is some fruity note, but when I read some reviews and they compared it to some baked vanilla cookies. I gave this perfume time and chance to get to know better and NOW... I cannot unsmell the comparison to cookies. IT IS SO YUMMY

listyanormalita

I smells like vanilla cookies wine all day! It is a amazing gourmand fragrance! For the first spray, it smells sweet floral, and then become like bubblegummy vanilla, and the dry down more like creamy vanilla cookies. Sillage and longevity is not as beast as the la nuit original. It close to the skin scent, and last longer on the clothes than the skin.

Mademoisellejaimie

Now this is what vanilla and berry dreams are made of. I love it so much! It manages to be cozy, comforting and sexy at the same time. In true Lancôme fashion,it's super long lasting! I can smell it on my clothes for days. It's so gorgeous! None of the patchouli and incense of the original, which I really didn't like, so if you didn't like it, give this a try. I will cry if they ever stop making this. It's in my top 5 and I own over 80 bottles of perfume.

carleycanton14

We have cold winters where I live, and this is such a perfect fragrance for fall/winter and the Holidays. I love scents with rose and vanilla, so this was definitely a must for me. Love the spicy notes in this, but vanilla is the one that shines through the most. Feel like a sexy snack when wearing this one. Also the bottle is amazing, so gorgeous. This is one of my favorites from the LNT line.

cassiesta

I bought this off of all the good reviews and seeing how loved it is. This starts off as a lovely red berry slighty boozy vanilla. Unfortunately, it quickly gives me an overall impression of pencil shavings. The vanilla smells pretty synthetic at this point. It's almost sharp and not complex at all. What may save this is that it does smell nice sprayed on clothes because it retains that initial nice smell. I prefer to spray on the skin as perfume is meant to develop on it and mix with your chemistry. Maybe this just doesn't work with mine. This was a huge disappointment. I'm glad I know what it smells like because I was very curious, but I might have to sell this one.

RavenValkyrie

La Nuit Trésor à la Folie is sacred to Gourmand-lovers.
A real Goddess of seduction.
She's elegant sensuality with an edible twist.
She's THE PERFECT DATE NIGHT FRAGRANCE.!

I remember years ago smelling this fragrance for the first time, walking around in the Amsterdam Airport with my sister, wanting to kill some time; entering the duty free shop and seeing this beauty on the shelf....
I tried it on my wrist.. And there I was : Instantly Hooked.
Needless to say: I immediately sprayed it on my sister as well and bought one for both of us as the perfect souvenir-ending of our trip.
Then we left the shop, sat at some restaurant and ordered champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries to spend our last money before boarding the plane.. (going broke in style - I was a grad student back then, so budget was tight but my love for luxury and amazing fragrances ever-expandable) and little whiffs of this fragrance ensnared me whenever I held the glass to my lips or took a bite of the stawberry...The boozy, luscious vanilla, the creamy woodsy notes and the lovely, savory rose .... were more intoxicating than the champagne and just as insatiably appetizing as the strawberries.
.. and on the plane ride home I continuously had my nose fixated at my wrist - because the dry-down of this fragrance is Divine.
Even waiting in the tedious lines out of the airport (and the fact that we couldn't afford a cab home from the station, but had to ask my creepy neighbour to pick us up) didn't matter so much, because I was more focused on the fabulous richness of this lovely EDP.

...LNT à la Folie just gets better and better the longer it lingers on your skin.
I knew then, what I still know now: La Nuit Trésor à la Folie will always be one of my most treasured and undying fragrance-obsessions (and I will always have stock up's).

soumayaela

I blind bought La nuit trésor à la folie after seeing so many youtubers talking about it, i'm so disappointed though... it's a nice perfume, yes, but the lasting power and sillage are sooooo bad i can't believe i've spent so much money on such a bad performing perfume!

It smells so sexy and mysterious... spicy, sweet, powdery, ambery, vanilla and cherry

It smells good but i have so many better performing perfumes in my collection! Hopefully in winter or fall it will perform better ...
7/10

Edit: now that it's colder where i live, la nuit trésor à la folie is no longer spicy on my skin, now i smell delicious warm vanilla with berries, just delicious, i still think the longevity is bad but i'm fine with overspraying it
I feel like a snack, sweet and warm vanilla cookies with berries and rose
Mmmm so good
Now i don't regret buying it anymore!
I'm a huge fan of poison girl i like my heavy powdery vanilla gourmand perfumes, while Poison girl is about orange rose and tonka, La nuit trésor a la folie is all about red berries and vanilla
9/10 (in cold weather)

Tigi

Looking to see if I'd voted on this gem from my collection, I also see that I haven't reviewed it yet. And this is a favorite, let me tell you why.
I adore gourmand roses and this one is downright edible. The rich, opulent (and prominent) combination of vanilla/tonka bean/benzoin is intoxicating; the red currant inviting, ripe, and juicy; the rose wraps herself around through the accords like a velvet rope: rich but delicate and never too heavy, even to the point of being light-hearted (and herein is where I concur with the name choice, "a la Folie" as well).
The performance is better than moderate in every regard: she is a strong opener and performer with noticeable sillage and respectable lasting-power.
Given the perceived overall quality of La Nuit Tresor a la Folie, current asking prices are right on the money. 😏
The bottle/packaging is stunning; the 100ml bottle is still manageable by smaller, female hands for application without worry of dropping or mis-spraying accidents, too.
If you know that you enjoy gourmand roses, please give this one a trial run as you may find another true love.

First impression
Okay, I have mixed fealing about this one. I bought it because of Youtube... maybe I should smelled it before, but... its fine. Its a good perfume for sure (Lancôme perfumes are bomb) but I found it little bit too mature for me. Its a jammy rose scent. Tonka bean, vanilla, bezoin and roses are the strongest notes. The women who wear this are confident. Its very strong and long lasting. Perfect for winter. I will play with it

Edit: Finally I sold it. I like it, but not enough and I have other similar perfumes that I prefer.

Gobwah

Smells like a yummy cookie. Gourmand perfume for the 20s.

metalshin23

A La Folie is sweet and floral; powdery, with heavy dose of vanilla and benzoin. It's smells nice and feminine but I have mixed feelings about this one. I bought a decant to see for myself if I'll like this more than the EDP. Sadly, I find it too generic. It smells so similar with other popular perfumes right now; and I was right! I haven't even check the "this perfume reminds me of" section but it reminds me of some of the perfumes listed such as The Only One 2 and La Belle.

I prefer the EDP more as I find it more complex, so I'll be getting a full bottle of that instead. For me, if you don't like the classic EDP, you should definitely try this.

Farytalewoods

If you love gourmand perfume this is definitely for you. It’s sensual, deep and sophisticated, sweet, smooth perfect! Love it! From everything I have tried in designer perfume this is definitely the most special.

MagdalenaM

This always gave me sour cherry and I find it so hard to accept its not one of the notes. Yeah. Sour cherry. Dark, mysterious, sexy, a cold weather, night time scent for sure. I prefer the OG NT honestly, but I would actually love to smell this on someone simply because its not something I smell everyday nowdays.

flowerlove

I like this perfume, on me I get vanilla, amber, warm smell so cozy ! but the sillage and projection is really poor, bad !!! I would love it to stay longer and the berries fade away so quickly. I love the vanilla and warmness but it fades away so fast !!!

Shiffy

carlahoffman

I love it! It smells so pretty with so many notes that play good together with to me the amber, vanilla and rose being the dominate notes until the spicy musky enters. This has it has for it is fruity, but not overly sweet. Lovely floral notes, spicy, woody and a musky scent that makes this so lovely.

It does has some of the orginal DNA of the la nuit family perfumes, I own four of them and they all have it, I think it's the nutty, vanilla and musky notes.

This bomb has a good projection with a longetivy that last into the next day. I really like the rose and fruity notes that the other ones in the family don't offer. It's a very pretty, sexy, scent that my huband loves on me . Works good in cool and warm weather, during the day or night. Date night approved!!!

It is sensual and elegant at the same time. I love spraying it in the morning, smelling the blast of fruitiness transforming into a warm floral (rose is not as pronounced as in LNT), then still smelling it 8 hours into the shift. It dries to a lovely vanilla-benzoin-nutmeg enveloping and comforting scent.

If you think it is too sweet and don't like it at first - wear it for a full week, it needs time to show it's full potential.

It lasts a long time on me - I cannot smell it after 3-4 hours but then it reappears after 6-8 hours and I can smell it even after a shower.

TinaIdra

This needs a new review from me since it’s my all time favorite and signature scent and it wasn’t when I wrote my last review. As I said back then, this smells like a grown up version of VS secret craving (my favorite when i was younger). Or as I found out a while ago when I visited my parents, a sweeter and a bit lighter version of Rituals Elixir d’Orient (which I love on my mother but never felt comfortable wearing myself). LNT a la folie is the perfect mix between them two, it smells like a warm and spicy vanilla with hints of amber and red berries. It’s so beautiful and sooo sexy, a compliment getter for sure, but still not so popular here in Sweden so it makes a great signature for me. The longevity is great and so is the sillage. Everything about this perfume is just great. I love it!

ghkim

Smells like Christmas spices and vanilla. Reminds me of winter desserts. It's pleasant but not terribly interesting. It is inoffensive. I might wear around around Christmas, but I don't see myself reaching for this one otherwise.

MiraScents

I love love love this fragrance! Smooth, warm vanilla scent. This is delicious. My favourite from la nuit range. Longevity and sillage is not as good as in la nuit tresor, but this one is much easier to wear. I can wear this any time in the year. Versatile gourmand frag. Highly recommend.
Edit. Been layering this with Mac Velvet teddy, a.m.a.z.i.n.g combo.

holocene

Sweet, floral, chocolate-vanilla. Very “perfume-y”. Strong and loud. Not very unique and not challenging at all if you like crowd pleasing sweet frags.

I like it a lot. I like all of the La Nuit offerings to be honest. Maybe I’m too easy to please? Through my fragrance journey I’m still a sucker for sweet and girly perfumes. A very safe bet if you are also.

Aikipy

One of the most beautiful, lux scents I’ve ever purchased! Very successful blind buy indeed! It’s sweet, it’s fruity, it’s creamy and a little bit powdery (probably from the violet). I can feel the pear and vanilla very strong. It’s for a sweet, a little bit mature woman (in her 30s, not old but not childish either). There’s nothing “bad girl” vibe about this fragrance, but it’s not for an innocent woman either. It’s for a kind, sweet but firm person, who you respect too much to hurt or speak badly about. I would say it’s a bit sexy, but not too much, definitely not as sexy as the original.

Edit: after wearing it a bit more and really enjoying it in all of its glory, I feel the need to change my initial review a little. I find it much sexier now! It’s a truly passionate scent, I think what tricked me in the beginning was the fact that I felt it a bit leaning towards fruity-floral, but after a while it’s so sexy and seductive! I do keep my original review regarding the type of woman that would wear this: a classy, elegant, good, firm woman. The type of woman that can move mountains and will help you do the same if you stick around for long enough. Gorgeous, gorgeous scent!

Midnightsummers

This is one I will not be repurchasing.

I found the smell intoxicating and headache inducing.

Chippeta

An incredible blind buy! Such an elegant, sensual fragrance. A beautiful combination of notes.

The description is very accurate. As soon as you spray it you get a glorious blast of the fruit with roses and violet. This dries down to a sublime powdery scent of vanilla, tonka bean and the other warm, woody notes with a hint of salt - and a dash of caramel. This smell lingers but is just gorgeous. My partner smelt it on me and declared I smelt beautiful, this from a man who dislikes perfumes in general.

When it comes to the age bracket it is suited for, I would say over 25s. It is a very assured, distinct scent.

Once again, I am so pleased I chose to blind buy this! What I read of the fragrance notes and overwhelmingly positive reviews have not let me down.

I'm sure I will keep this perfume as a signature night-time scent.

Murmur123123

I am happy that A La Folie is different enough from the original La Nuit Tresor EDP which I also have. This is creamy, whereas the La Nuit Tresor EDP is sweeter with some smoky vibe.

I pick up the initial pink pepper and red currant a lot in the opening, the middle note is more powdery on me that I had expected (maybe it is the violet?), but in a good way, and I don't pick up much of the floral notes. The dry down is woody with vanilla and tonka sweetness. Overall I find it warm and cozy, not too sweet or deep or sexy, good for all seasons except the hot months, and can be worn in the daytime. Projection is not strong but long lasting.

dayana_didi

This is the perfect scent for date night

Roses1357

Such a great flanker! I can relate to that milk-chocolatey vibe, as described in the review below, when you smell it out of the bottle. On the initial spray, I get the bergamot and fresh fruitiness. Then it quickly goes to a sweet gum droppy smell; definitely vanilla in the dry down. It's a fun fragrance!

Armanda

For me the original is like rich yummy expensive jam. This has that jammy fruitiness in it but it's toned down and covered in milk chocolate.

Enrium

This is my least favourite Trésor flanker that I've smelled. It opens with a haze of alcohol with blackcurrant notes that brings to mind a Kir cocktail. Syrupy-sweet berries with heavy patchouli creep in, as well as a vanilla note that sweetens it even further. I can also detect the pear and redcurrant.

The rose which is at the heart of the Trésor DNA is swamped here by this bombastic fruit cocktail of a fragrance, barely perceptible to me and only after about an hour. There is some woodiness in the drydown, which is also slightly powdery, but the syrup endures. Projection is moderate but longevity is quite weak.

Sickly-sweet gourmand, not at all to my taste. Stick to Trésor Midnight Rose or the original La Nuit. 1/5.

"Derivative”

I’m scratching my head over the praise this thing receives. I don't understand the raves about this scent. The initial spray is pleasant. It starts off with slightly tart synthetic berries over something basic and sweet. But at best I would describe this as "every single generic sweet scent at the mall." The longevity and sillage are fairly poor for me. I smell it for an hour or two max. I mean, really people?

PS: I occasionally include critical reviews to help people like me who blind buy. I don’t aim to be mean or insulting to those who love this scent.

Parsmom

Çok orjinal buluyorum çok masum ve çok sofistike bunu giymekten çok keyif alıyorum ayrıca inanılmaz seksi !!!!!

Lalunalynn

So I blind bought this based on notes and the glowing reviews here. Bought it for my mother for mother's day which is today (UK) I watched as she opened it, eager to know how it smelled. Well she sprayed, sniffed her hand and literally her eyes rolled back with an audible ahhhh. It's absolutely beautiful she said. So soft and pretty. So my turn. I had a spritz, and yes, it really is lovely. I get a hypnotic poison vibe, but smoother, not so harsh. The pink pepper tingles your nose off the top. But the gorgeous sweet berries of the middle are so juicy. My only complaint is it dries down to a pure vanilla far too quickly. I wish the middle berries lasted a bit longer. 1 hour and it's just vanilla. A gorgeous vanilla though that puts me in mind of Vanille Noire Les Senteurs Gourmandes, which I love. I was drawn to the bottle, and the juice inside smells just like I imagined it to, sweet, (but not too sweet) spicy, fruity, vanillary and warm.
A gorgeous frag thats soft and pretty, best worn in autum winter

Kiti89

Vanilla amber gorgeousness. Sweet, warm, sexy, berries.

Lasted a long time on my skin with moderate projection.

JD.Berg

I have been testing this for weeks. Loved it upon initial spray and 10 to 30 minutes upon spraying. Pleasant roses and violet. But there is something about the dry down that really puts me off. It tends to be too powdery on both skin and clothes which I don’t quite fancy. I was this close to purchasing it but I guess it’s a pass for me which is really sad because it smells so gorgeous at first however the dry down killed it for me.

violetx28

Just received this fragrance today, I blind bought this based on the notes as I wanted a vanilla dominated scent. This was love at first sniff!! Smells absolutely amazing! Vanilla-y yet still a bit fruity in the back, I absolutely love love love this scent.

I did not like the original that much, there was a note in there that was just a bit too sharp to my taste. A la folie on the other hand is such a beautiful scent, definitely recommend if you’re looking for a vanilla scent!

(Edit: scent smelled familiar, now I’ve finally put my finger on it! It smells similar to JPG La Belle but without the tarteness of the pear that la belle has)

Perfumista76

I was convinced I would love this. It removed the notes I didn’t like about the original LNT and added notes I typically love. The problem is I didn’t find the depth I was hoping for. The dry down is reminiscent of the new Angel EDT minus the fruity notes. It’s pretty, warm, and comforting but lacks the character I wanted.

Maybe I need to test it more but for now it’s just a like, not a love.

little_red_corvette

At the moment this is the best vanilla scent in my collection. It is soft, warm and cozy. Smells edible, but also has that fiery rose and nutmeg to make it slightly spicy. If you love vanilla, go check it out. Projection is within arms length, but it stays all day. Lancome is my favorite perfume brand and this is my favorite from Lancome.

TinaIdra

This smells like a mature version of VS Secret Craving! And i´m not mad about it? It´s like a spicy dark berry vanilla. It´s a heavier night time, autumn/winter scent to me. I love the scent but I was a little bit disappointed on the longevity. At it´s best it lasts for 3 hours on me :( I expected more actually. If you like scents like Black Opium I think you will enjoy this too :)

Update: this lasts so looong on me now? I love it and I get so many compliments wearing it! One of my favorites now!!

fawneyed_sita

first impressions: This definitely has the DNA of the original LNT but this version is smoother with the vanilla addition and has MUCH LESS patchouli, hurrah! The heavy heady caramel-praline sweetness of the original LNT is calmed down by the lighter, fluffier, creamier sweetness of vanilla/tonka. I loved the caramel/litchi opening of the original LNT but wanted just a little less patch in the dry down. I don't understand why litchi is not listed as a note here. Litchi and incense are my favorite aspects of the original LNT, which went missing in the EDT version, much to be my disappointment. Looking at the notes I don't see litchi but I still get the litchi note of the original here, which they seem to have rebranded as red currant (? probably fantasy notes since synthetic chemicals are made to mock fruity smells anyway, what does red currant even smell like?). We are missing the incense though, which is sad but I will take this as a gorgeous sexy fruity (litchi?)-rose-vanilla composition. Finally a version of LNT that I can wear everyday for every occasion, but especially great for date nights.

Edit/Update: May just be my decant but I find after the opening dissipates that I can hardly even smell this on me except for a very light vanilla skin scent, does anyone else have this issue? For me it will be a pass for now

7/10

NikNik1

OMG. I’m speechless. Don’t sleep on this. I absolutely love this. This is the epitome of sensual and sexy. Very feminine leaning. Mod projection and great longevity. The vanilla and musks are at the forefront. The patchouli lays very quietly in the background. The rose is done to perfection-I don’t like scents with a strong rose smell-this one just dances around the vanilla. OMG. How can anyone not love this-no darn way.
Update: I finally figured out what this scent reminds me of - fruity pebbles lol.

Schnupperl

La nuit Tresor is beautiful, but I like Tresor a la Folie even better. Balsamic, powdery, creamy and sweet vanilla with a fruity touch. I can't get enough of it.

Scentflower

Tresor La Nuit is one of my favorite perfumes. It constantly evolves with so many incredible notes. It gorgeous! So I got La Nuit Trésor à la Folie thinking it be just a gorgeous with all the good reviews. I'm kinda disappointed. It's nice but really a average gourmand. On first blast it has a alcohol smell. You need to wait a few minutes for it to go away. Then it becomes a nutmeg and vanilla perfume. It lacks the depth and sensuality the original La Nuit has. Doesn't last as long on me as the original.

AnaisLouLou

This smells like a more refined Hypnotic Poison EDP (not EDT) with a pepper or pencil shavings top note. I think men would like La Nuit Trésor à la Folie better, as the pepper or pencil shavings note cuts through the syrupy goodness. Luckily, I like Hypnotic Poison EDP a lot, so I'm happy to have this in my collection.

This perfume does not project as much or last as long as Hypnotic Poison EDP.

I also, feel it's missing a chocolate note so, I've been layering it with Demeter Devil's Chocolate (chocolate cake) and Demeter Cuba (chocolate tobacco).

I really love using the original La Nuit Trésor together with La Nuit Trésor à la Folie. One spray of each.

ladolcemae

okay so i'm not the biggest fan on tonka nor nut meg but hear me out, this one's lovely... The blend is made so that you can smell a bit of all the layers right from the beginning, which makes this fragrance shockingly good right from the beginning: the sweetness of the vanilla, the freshness of the rose, the spice of the pepper, the softness of the pear, the nuttiness... And when the middle and base notes start to take over, it gets even better. It's a super popular perfume, and yet I've never smelt anything like what it gives on *my* skin!Yummy. Edible. Suggestive, seducing, nighty. a LOVE.

dianaelz.1

Sweet red wine with some spices inside and vanilla of course. Best option for holidays...winter scent.
For those who love oriental fragrances this is a must try.
Much better than the original la nuit Tresor in my opinion.
It has something red inside floral and fruity blended finely to create this gorgeous scent by Lancome.
Well done!

You can wear this everywhere especially during winter.
Mostly a night scent for dinner out.

aryif

Imagine being at a corporate evening dinner wearing a plum velvety dress, black outerwear, and sipping in some champaign. It is sweet but grown-up and sophisticated and perfect for any age range. The sweetness from pink pepper and the pears makes it attractive to young teenagers but the dry own (a beautiful cozy wood, warm vanilla, and posh patchouli) makes it perfect for even someone in their 30s.

few minor issues and solutions:
- initially a mild alcoholic top note (which fades away in about 3-4 minutes) so you just have to bear with it
- not the best performance (lasts around 5-6 hours) but you can layer it with any vanilla fragrance for a longer performance
- if you cannot handle the benzoin try JPG La Belle Intense instead

aprilsandoval0704

This perfume is the most underrated fragrance I've stumbled across in years. Simply gorgeous 😍
The opening is bright and fruity without being sickeningly sweet like alot of the fruity gourmands out today. It's very elegantly done, like a delicious berry tart created by the most dedicated chef.
The middle notes aren't long behind the opening, simple violet and breathy rose whisper around your skin and this is when I notice the sillage getting a bit bigger...more than arms length at least. It's not a sillage beast but it's definitely not a skin scent.
The drydown is so beautiful. It's like all the notes never truly faded away but instead blended together seamlessly. They just wrap you in a cloud of fruity, candied violets and roses in a sugared vanilla crust 😋
Highly recommend. Stunning fragrance.

Ninlil

Great scent. At first I felt it shared the same DNA with Black Opium, Flowerbomb, La vie est belle, Mon Guerlain,...all quite different yet similar. I even regretted the purchase as it seemed “just another wintery sweet vanilla”. But this one develops extraordinarily well on my skin and lasts forever. It’s extremely comforting and intoxicatingly beautiful at the same time

Piperok26

I'm torn with this one. There are parts I love and parts I don't like. The first thought that jumped into my head when I smelled it on my skin was the boozy/balsamic powdery notes in Mon Guerlain. I enjoy the red currant (one of my favorite notes) and the bourbon vanilla but I get a powdery play-doh note like the other reviewers here mentioned. It's got some sort of synthetic vibe that reminds you of plastic or merle norman face powder mixed with play-doh. I think I like the Nude version better which smells like coconut cream pie and no synthetic vibes at all.

Marina.Klr

*You smell it and your eyes roll back * Intoxicating! Seductive, dark, enchanting, dangerous! THIS is the treasure of the (snowy) night. I would describe it as a roasted, smoked syrupy pear crumble, in which the crust and coating layers have rich vanilla cream and many red berries. A fruity, sweet & spicy perfume It's not too sweet, it does not cause headaches, nor does it make you dizzy, it reminds me of New Year's Eve and deep red lipsticks. Elegant and delicate, it leaves its mark and is definitely the best (and perhaps the only) accompaniment one needs at such a party, where the champagne flows and the dance raises the winter temperatures, under the purple confetti. Sexier than Black Opium, more authentic than its original predecessor, perhaps the winter - evening version of "Νude". Τhe only minus: moderate longevity compared to other flankers. If it was color, it would be the color of the bottle, if it was fabric it would be velvet...

on my skin, i mostly get the red currant, tonka and benzoin, which gives it a smoky vibe
imo this isnt something unique that you NEED in your collection, but i like it - this screams evening/date fragrance
i could smell it on my skin after hours

i also got it because of the stunning bottle, however i have some complaints - the cap feels a bit cheap and can be moved around(i would rather have it just stick when being put on), the batch code is put on with a sticker and not imprinted on the bottle(i have other fragrances that also have stickers, but the stickers are on the bottom of the bottle, which isnt the case here), there is this sort of gap between the sprayer and the bottle as if the components dont fit each other perfectly and there is a dent inside the cap

THIS BECOMES A SKIN-SCENT IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES.

Its so sad. The smell is so beautiful, warm, cozy and rich. The bourbon vanilla is decadent. I truly love the fragrance, but it wears like a body cream, not like a perfume. I want to smell my fragrance and I also want others around me to smell it. This fragrance is so shy. If only she would just project even slightly, it would be a perfect 10.

It last forever on clothing too.

Sillage:0/10

If you want a fall perfume that smells amazing but wears like a body cream, get this.

It's a LOVE from the first spray, I agree that it feels original and has it's clear identity, not just a mix of sweet notes. From the first sniff à la Folie reminded me of the beautiful creamy vanilla of Hypnotic Poison eau Sensuelle and the red fruits from Escada Magnetism (old batches), topped with a delicate rose that you feel is there to make the smell sexy and softer but the rose is never dominating. Gorgeously well blended, and I see it as a crowd pleaser. La Nuit Tresor à la Folie is yumminess in a jewel, and this is exactly how it feels, sweet vanilla with a mature and chic character.

Have you ever had ruby chocolate? Because this scent smells exactly like ruby chocolate tastes: thick, buttery, vanillic white chocolate, with some red fruit sourness cutting through and grounding the sweetness. Absolutely, unbelievably stunning fragrance, especially if you are into gourmand scents and/or vanilla. Also very long lasting, and in one of the most beautiful bottles I have ever come across. There isn't much more to say really. If you were looking for a scent with a prominent white chocolate note, or rather overall feel, this is it.

I find La Nuit Tresor a la Folie to be a softer, more refined version of the original La Nuit Tresor. This one is definitely the classier version; still alluring and sexy, but the vanilla in this one makes it more buttery.

It is not sickly sweet, nothing to do with candy. More like a fluffy cupcake, if I were to compare it to a dessert. Blended to perfection.
I love the fact that it still feels like a perfume, and not necessarily like something edible or childish.

The longevity, sillage and projection are not as good as in the original, but I always received compliments during the first few hours of wear. If these aspects are important to you, you should know they are more likely to be moderate rather than heavy on your skin as well.

Over all, I love it!
It fits my taste perfectly. I would wear it anytime, anywhere, but I must admit I find this to be perfect during cooler weather. Could feel comforting, like a hug. The kind you get when you put on your favorite cashmere scarf and head out for a walk in the park in the evening only to clear your head after a long day.
Or maybe the perfume you wear to boost your confidence for a nice evening out.
You choose.

Lovely one.
