This mixed with blanche bete smells really delicious

Sensoryissues99

This scent is so complex and amazing to me, it does not trigger a migraine no matter if I spray heavily or not. That's never happened ever!!! Normally I'm a two spray girl. I'll definitely fly through this bottle. It's so soft and powdery after the dry down it's intoxicating it's so Coconutty and creamy. Mandarin is very prominent and I can smell the ylang ylang. This is blended so well imo. After a few hours it smells too me more soft powdery than bright and Coconutty. I noticed the projection at the store was so much and now I feel like it's not great. However the day I wore the tester, it was very humid. And I've been wearing it since I bought it on cold days. I suspected that the humidity was giving it so much projection. Which is good because I'm Missouri it's extremely humid here. I can't wait to test the projection and longevity again during some hot wet weather! The opening smells so much like a Pina colada. Or a extra sweet creamy drink with lime juice. Delicious

FreshieFrance your may have received a bad batch or something? This is one of my strongest ever perfumes and it projects like crazy, through rooms!!

FreshieFrance

Not bad but not great. The scent does not project or last, really. It’s a nice light scent if that’s what you’re going for but I had higher expectations based on the strength of the original. The coconut is nice and not cheap smelling like it can be.

It’s definitely not an offensive scent, but it doesn’t pass the wear test for me. It’s just not special enough. Much better fragrances out there. I will try the iris version next.

Scarletfrag6

This is so good and light but it doesn’t last on me :(
I don’t really get a coconut note but a creamy sweet flowery vanilla. It dries down very quickly on my skin making it a skin scent more than an actual perfume. I get a maximum of 5hours out of this (i spray around 5~7 sprays) .

enchantedwinter

I tested this today-- both on my wrist and on a slip of paper. I've been wanting a summery coconut fragrance so badly, and this one seemed promising. I searched through Macys, Nordstrom, Sephora, and then finally found it in stock at Ulta. It seems like it's pretty popular!

On the paper it smells very different from how it does on my skin, and not in a good way. :( For the first five or so minutes, I totally got why they were out of testers everywhere-- it was warm and sweet and fresh, very summery. But then it was replaced by what I imagine is the ylang-ylang? A kind of powdery bitter citrusy smell akin to the white pith of an orange. Now that it's mostly died down to the base scent, I get a verrryyyyyy subtle hint of coconut in there, but that's only if I'm really sniffing for it. It's mostly just vanilla. Which is nice, but lacks depth for me on its own. Meanwhile the test paper still smells like that initial lovely scent-- a well-blended mix of citrus, florals, coconut, vanilla. So I imagine this is a case of skin chemistry incompatibility.

From the paper's fragrance, I'd describe the feeling of this perfume as 'a summer tropical vacation that you take with your extended family when you're an adult' if that makes sense. There's some playfulness there, and it reminds me a bit of sunscreen, tropical cocktails, beachy summer breezes, but it's also a bit restrained, toned-down, serious.

Overall, even if this did smell on me like it did on the paper tester, I think at most, I'd only buy a travel size. It's nice but not amazing.

I just went to repurchase the 3+oz bottle as mine is almost out…. And it’s sold out in a lot of places and on the Lancôme website this fragrance is 50% off which makes me SO scared they’re going to discontinue it!!! I absolutely LOVE this fragrance and it’s always a compliment getter. It’s my favorite in their La vie est belle line. So I got 2 of the 1.4oz bottles since they’re out of the larger size. Panicking that this is going away 😭

TheCandyperfumegirl

LANCÔME released another flanker to their best selling Fragrance line La Vie Est Belle in 2021 and this edition is called La Vie Est Belle Soleil Cristal. When they announced the notes I instantly knew I need this in my collection because the notes in this Fragrance are right up my alley. Those who read my reviews already know I love Vanilla & Coconut . And
La Vie Est Belle has undoubtedly one of the best elegant feminine Fragrance DNA. So I finally added this to my collection and I have to be honest it was Love at first sniff. It's everything I was hoping from the summer version of LVEB.
Upon initial spray I get a kick of pink pepper & Citruses with the original LVEB DNA but only for a few minutes. Quickly it fades away and the Ylang-Ylang, Coconut, Vanilla & Orange blossom combination starts to take the stage. The iris gives it a powdery vibe & the patchouli adds earthiness. But to my nose the most prominent notes are Vanilla, Coconut, Orange Blossom & Patchouli. It's not overpowering or cloying so it's perfect for summer. I won't call it a tropical summer scent because to my nose this has an elegant touch to it because of the original La vie est belle DNA. It's more appropriate for after sunset during summer. The blending of the notes are really praiseworthy. It's feminine and youthful.

◼️Longevity : The Fragrance lasted on my skin for 5+ hours but on clothes it lasts upto 8+ hours and on hair till next day.

◼️Projection/Sillage: Soleil Cristal will create a scent bubble around the wearer and anyone within one or two hands distance will be able to smell the fragrance.

Overall I loved the fragrance. I will recommend this beautiful iridescent bottle of Fragrance for those who love Vanilla, Coconut, Orange Blossom and also those who love La Vie Est Belle fragrances in general. If you're looking for a summer evening scent go for this without any second thought. I'm sure you'll fall in love with this too ❤️

Without the patchouli this would be ”too juvenile” ”too sweet” ”too boring” for me. I love how that note anchors the scent and gives it grown up vibes. 🤩🤩🤩

Zeddyteddy

I feel embarrassed admitting this but I blind bought this in December 2022 because 50ml was half price at only £41 in Boots UK. I sprayed and went on a Christmas night out and didn’t like it. I felt foolish that I’d bought something I’d not smelt first. However, I didn’t realise that it really didn’t suit the weather or event. I put it away and between then and now I’ve hardly used it and still couldn’t distinguish between the notes. I also didn’t understand that it was a summery coconut scent and found it too strong. Fast forward to now and my discovery of Fragrantica (I was hiding under a rock) and I now understand and appreciate this for what it is - it’s a beautiful, summery, beachy, elegant scent. I will use and enjoy this summer (if we get any this year in the UK!) and perhaps when I go on holiday. It does only need a little/one or two max sprays because I am not a strong perfume person. The bottle is also stunning and that is important to me!

kiriakipolia

So beautiful in summer nights.

illievec

The complaints about the performance in here made me comment on this.
I only sprayed this perfume around my jacket 4 times at home, sipped some coffee, and went to the gym. I was there 15 minutes later. As soon as I entered the locker room, I hung up my jacket in the closet and started getting ready. During this time, I could smell the scent on me, but not too much. Then, after taking a break from working out, I entered the locker room again after 10 minutes, and the scent was there from the door all the way to the toilets... It's a place with quite high ceilings and good ventilation. And I didn't think the scent was coming from me at first. I was like "ah this smells similiar to mine".

AleksOud

I must be anosmic to it because my body lotions smell stronger to me than this flanker. Extremely weak on my skin. Shame because I love coconut and the bottle. I might test it again in summertime.

PattyLovesScents

This goes straight to a powder bomb on me. I do smell a sweet milky coconut initially. Similar to a sunscreen summer smell, but not tart and scratchy like sunscreen. More creamy milky. But for me after just a little bit this scent becomes a powder bomb that is very mature. Kind of what I envision the Golden Girls house smelling like! You do get a nice tropical summer coconut milk scent, but if you are any kind of sensitive to powdery notes this may not be for you. It does last a LONG time and has crazy good projection which is good if this scent is your vibe.

MelissaEstelle

Such a pretty,
cute and dreamy scent 🌸.

Projects great and stays super long on clothes and on my hair.

Something in this scent that's so addictive! 💖

yussssiiii

very interesting and memorable fragrance.
I love the coconut and vanilla combination, so sweet and warm, an easier reach in hot weather but I wore it this winter and it was great.
sillage is decent and it lasts so long on my skin.
some people say it gives old lady vibes but to me it doesnt.
only issue I noticed is there's a salty note that can be annoying to some people but other than that it's great!

caseyuggen1

Review below mine is legit. Holy crap I love this. Better than Olympia Solar because it projects and is a bomb! Can't wait to wear this in the sun. 🌞

Titiana

Am I the only person who smells shredded coconut and baking vanillin in this after the first 30 min of applying? It’s crazy powdery on me, on skin and on clothes. I’m very bad in baking, but with this it easy to make an impression that I made something very yummy 😋. The ylang flower is recognizable, but it’s adding up to that buttery accord

Coccobacillius

YUM! 🤤 it’s quite an interesting fragrance, its smells like a really good shower and putting sunscreen after the shower. First it has grandma vibes, it smells very mature for the first 30 minutes, after that it mellows down and it’s a clean girl scent with a hint of coconut. It’s spicy tho, I think because of the pink pepper note, it’s somehow heavy and a little sharp, but I enjoy this. I can not put my finger on what I like about this one (other than the bottle) but I really like this scent. I don’t think it’s a summer fragrance, but for spring it’s really unique choice, it’s sweet, kind of sharp, and you can smell the coconut and patchouly. What a surprise… I thought I’d hate this, but it’s interesting.

Kuty22

Another blind buy 🙈
First spray it's a love, I think I'll love it 😍 still, afterwards.
It does remind me slightly of Olympéa and Idôle Aura, but only slightly, I don't get any coconut 🥥 which is good.
The bottle is gorgeous ❤️
This does not remind me of the original La Vie est Belle, I get the iris.. Dreamy scent

Edit: ready for a backup bottle
Edit: I got my back-up bottle, I've been wearing this perfume back-to-back, I don't even care to define or describe the notes it's simply a love 😍 for me

dine.vanille

I will forever love this scent. It's coconutty, floral, elegant, and instantly gives me a good mood. Reminds me of summer, but I feel like you can wear it all seasons. It's a delicate, non-invasive scent, yet it has a decent projection. Longevity on my skin is moderate (4 to 6 hours).
And one of the reasons for me to love it, is sweet, but elegant sweet (NO gourmand!) just like the original LVEB. I find the Soleil Cristal way more versatile and I wear it in many occasions, from work, to vacations, to nights out with friends...
For me, it's like the scent of Australian Gold Sunscreen mixed with a sweet floral luxurious perfume! However, don't buy it expecting it to be a fresh summery floral - it's definitely not fresh, but creamy and even powdery.
I don't recommend anyone to blind buy this because I know coconut notes are not the cup of tea of many people. Ylang ylang and Patchouli are also notes that whether you love or hate. In this perfume they are beautifully blended and easier to please different noses.

tbhunter

If sunshine on the beach was a scent, this would be it. The coconut slightly peaks through here, with warmth and musk. This was my wedding scent and I will say, it lasted all day and night. I think you've really got to like coconut & patchouli in order to like this, and I love both- so I did! It CAN be alot if you don't like both or either of those, though. I don't recommend blind buying this, definitely smell it before hand.

heartstopss

pretty tropical scent, i can’t wait to wear this in summer

cutiepi

This smells like golden sun, I am in love. I blind bought it because the notes seemed like something I would like. It does remind me of Alien, but with a vibrant, sunnier goddess type vibe. It smells way better on skin than on paper, I'm so excited to wear this!

Anajasp

I'm so confused by this one. I bought it a long time ago and shortly after, didn't like it. Unfortunately that happens often to me. So I was trying to sell it. But today I had some odd feeling to try it, and I'm intrigued by it now. In the summer I thought I smelled musk(or something I interpret as musk) and very little coconut. But it's the middle of winter here now, and I smell much more coconut. Now I may not want to sell.

Anarig97

This fragrance was just okay to me. On the initial spray, I jumped back a little because it hit my nostrils so strongly. I hate to use the term "old lady" to describe a scent, but it smelled similar to the older women that used to fret about at the church services I would attend as a young girl. Personally, this scent feels way too mature for me. It did mellow out the longer I wore it, and it did grow on me slightly, especially since the longevity and sillage are fantastic. However, I don't think I will be revisiting this scent anytime soon.

Safira

What a pleasant surprise! It's the dead of winter here, so if it's better suited for warmer weather, then I can't wait, because it's pretty awesome already.

I find La Vie Est Belle a bit screechy and sometimes overly sweet, so when people here on Fragrantica would be saying that these two perfumes are similar, it'd put me off from trying Soleil Cristal. Eventually, though, I read enough positive reviews to dare blindbuy it, and here we are; It's divine! (And if there's any resemblance to the original LVEB, it's for seconds only during the first spritz)

Probably one of my overall best blind buys. I also blind bought La Nuit Trésor Nude recently, and that's also fantastic, but I don't actually think they're similar - well, maybe they give off a similar vibe with their soft creaminess, but scentwise they're different, and while I love LNTN, I'm surprised to discover that this one may actually be a bit better.

It's just such a warm, comforting scent, well-blended and harmonious, not overly sweet and completely inoffensive. And as I said previously, I don't actually think this is a summer fragrance only - I'm definitely wearing this to work today, and it's freezing outside. Just beautiful! Oh, and let's not forget - amazing longevity (with extreme perfume prices, I want my fragrance to last!).

roxemary

Smells exactly like the original for me

MareaCamacho

The coconut, vanilla, and jasmine in this blends beautifully with the coconut, vanilla, and jasmine in Rosendo Mateu Nº 6... they are amazing and compliment each other. I love to use warm cashmere philosophy on my shoulders as well... it's giving "my backyard is a beach" vibe.

jujuba4596

This is summer in a bottle. A lot of coconut and vanilla. Some synthetic vibes, but I still love it. It's a playful fragrance, for young women to wear on a warm day and go out in the sun. I had a coconut candle once that smells just like the same. I love this flanker but I think I still prefer the OG, because this reminds me so much of the summer and the beach that sometimes I think it smells like some sunscreen, but in a good way.

kittymoon

It's nice, but does not smell like La Nuit Tresor Nude. It's got some ozonic vibes similar to Coco Mademoiselle, that get on my nerves after a while. I find it fresher and less smooth than LNTN (which is my absolute fave). I don't find it heavy, it's just a bit cloing and mega long lasting. Perfect if you love the scent, not so perfect if you only like it. ☺️

Suicidal_wizard

Turns sour on me. Smells like body odour.

sw33tlikeh0ney

its not even coconut! it full of smell like synthetic dollar tree sweet-sugary perfumes. im into sweet gourmand perfumes but that one is not passing the test! whenever i smell it instantly giving me headache! lancome is a designer brand, they really should change their line. everytime they announcing a new perfume its either idole or la vie est belle!

MKred

I have a full bottle for sale US only or willing to trade for Ellis Brooklyn or Clean fragrance company scent. Please message me if interested.

Ahump55

Opens up really spicy on me. But the dry down is nice - slightly sweet floral. I don’t get much vanilla, and maybe get a hint of it after about 2 hours. I have a sample and may like it enough for a full bottle. It’s subtle enough for daily or office wear, and has a typical “perfume” smell to it.

alexisx

La Vie est Belle Soleil Cristal is really nice. A summery version of the original, less sweet, even slightly salty (I prefer it to J'adore in Joy, it goes slightly in the direction of Olympéa Intense but it's gentler) and very ylang ylang. The mandarin gives it a fresh touch and the vanilla is tropical and the whole impression is beachy but in an elegant way. I'd say I like this even more than LVEB la Vie est Belle l’Éveil which has been my LVEB favorite so far. If you miss Womanity, you should try it at least once.

Faverinsky

Update: I'm on my second 100ml bottle! This scent is addictive, you can wear it spring, summer, and fall (I wouldn't in winter), and every time I wear it both women and men compliment me! So much so that I have what was left of my older bottle to a dear friend because she was DESPERATE to get a hold of the scent but it's not available in New Zealand anymore, so even though she was importing one, she didn't want to wait! If you haven't sniffed it yet and it's summer in your area (Northern Hemisphere), this juice is like Coco Mademoiselle Intense and Dolce Garden had a baby; you get the most decadent yellow and white floral bouquet wrapped up in coconut... just delightful!

Lucid Dreamer

This fragrance is absolutely gorgeous. It’s reminiscent to V&R Flowerbomb Nectar only in a prettier bottle. This would be perfect for a hot girl summer spent at the beach and night clubs. It's a sugary floral dream.

swedishmilk15

I fell in love with heavy fruitchoulis over the winter of 22-23, so I'm updating my review for this. Easily love this flanker after my ongoing obsession with LVEB Intensement. Another reviewer said this is like Intensement (subbing coconut for raspberry) and I totally agree. The perfect dose of pink pepper (SERIOUSLY MY NEMESIS!) makes Soleil Cristal addictively bold and deep. Ambery florientals rely on cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, anise, etc to achieve this effect and any of those would have pushed this into Dior Dolce Vita territory. The notes here are unique, and stay interesting to my nose, especially surprising for a modern perfume. Another win from Lancome, one of the only historic houses still making great perfumes that are worth their price, even as those metrics have declined in the segment as a whole.

Durumi

I don't like strong vanilla scents. But it doesn't bother me on this one. It is sweet and nutty. I dont think it fits summer, vanilla in summer can get overwhelming.7/10

gourmandgirly3

delicious yummy summer scent, i fell in love with this the moment i smelled it for the first time. a complex underrated scent imo, it is a fruitchuli bomb at first but the dry down is immaculate

Lotte_Liese

Ylang ylang, iris, vanilla and coconut- these are the notes that form the dry down, the opening is less interesting. It does smell 'sunny'.

HannahRosesAreRed

I think the OG La Vie Est Belle is over-hated. It may not be my style and is a little too sweet on my skin, but I think it's a lovely, bold, assertive and unashamedly fun fragrance. There is a part of me that would like a flanker that would work on my skin, and looking at the success, positive reception and notes of Soleil Cristal, I was intrigued. Coconut, vanilla, iris and ylang-ylang, combined to make a more summery, tropical variant of LVEB? Sign me up!

So I got a hold of a tester and was sadly overwhelmed. I blame my skin chemistry–if there's vanilla anywhere in a fragrance, my skin will bring it out, front and center, drowning out other notes. That's sadly the case with Soleil Cristal. On my skin, this perfume read as straight-up vanilla, linear and bombastic. No other notes were to be found. It had that distinct LVEB DNA of sweetness, gourmand gooey-ness and just a touch of patchouli, but not much else. I couldn't pick up any coconut, or iris, or any of the other notes. I'll give it credit for that famous Lancome stamp of quality–the sillage and longevity were fantastic. It's a shame the fragrance itself failed to manifest better on my skin.

Sadly I will have to pass on this one, but to the lucky lot of you for which this perfume works, then congratulations! More for you!

Momopeach

Wow!!!!! Like all La Vie Est Belle, this NEEDS to be sprayed on skin. On a tester trip it is unremarkable. I was walking around ulta and sprayed it on my hand and thought it was just nice but nothing crazy...

And then as I was walking around, I was getting whiffs of something delicious. This absolutely blooms on skin in the dry down. And it is very potent and long lasting.

I find this much more similar to lveb Intensement than the OG. This is like if you took out the Raspberry in intensement and replaced it with coconut.

A super sweet, warm, delicious, summer scent with tons of sillage.

Lancome really knows how to create a great performing perfume.

LEM922

One word, Yum! I think I prefer this to the original. Although, they are both very nice. This one is more daytime while the original is more nighttime. I love a good coconut scent, and this one is so soft and powdery. Nowhere near overwhelming or offensive. I think the only con here would be that it doesn't project very well, it's pretty intimate. But this is extremely yummy, so pretty and sweet. A good grab for the spring and summer months. If LVEB is too much for you, try this version. It's less strong and definitely more crowdpleasing.

perfumesniffer

ugh, why do I do this? I’m better off with Mancera Holidays. this is fine but very weak skin scent after an hour. bottle is easy on the eyes but overall in the same exact quality category as La Nuit Tresor Nude & Co. I think AG Songes, Bronze Goddess, Terracotta and even the highly synthetic Mancera Holidays are a step up. I like beachy tropical scents but they need to last and not smell like actual suntan lotion.

Suicidal_wizard

vanillic coconut with ylang ylang + lactonic backdrop

Lovescents3

Overall I really like this fragrance. It is a fruitchouli for sure. Citrus with patchouli in the base against a background of coconut. The coconut is not prominent on me but definitely adds some dimension to the base.

I wore this out on a walk one day and it really radiated off my skin in the warm sun. More of the citrus and florals came out in the heat. I feel like this does shine in the warm weather. Not the hottest days, but warm Spring and early Summer. It does remind me of the sun burst or shard of sunlight idea evoked by its name.

Has typical Lancôme lasting power - 6 hours or more with decent projection.

Lyric82

I wish lancome had released this as a standalone fragrance and not part of the LVEB lineup because then it may actually get the attention it deserves. Even fans of the line are too exhausted to keep up with the ridiculous amount of flankers, and everyone who doesn’t like the original (which probably outnumbers the fans at this point), are not even going to give a second of thought towards a flanker.

This has a summery coconut sunscreen profile. It’s sweet, but it feels very much like it belongs here. It really makes me think of the beach, and I do sense tiare or another flower like that here too. The Iris and patchouli of LVEB are there, but muted, and very much not the star of the show here. This is all about summer.

This has more of the guilty pleasure feeling to me rather than a sophisticated summery fragrance like Terracotta or Dune. But I crave scents like this sometimes. It’s straightforward and not trying to be anything else. It’s summer in a bottle. A beautiful bottle too!

yunaro

weirdly the patchouli is overwhelming on my skin. makes it smell like rancid coconut.

Suicidal_wizard

Looking for a bottle of this.

VanillaaManiaa

MareaCamacho - omg I LOVE those layering suggestions, will definitely try out 😍
After watching some reviews on youtube, and reading through here, I was put off blind buying this. I love pretty much anything Ropion, but the reviews had me convinced this was boring, basic and not needed in my collection.
This is a PRIME example of the mantra to always smell a scent for yourself…Boots had this half price, I feel like I got such a steal! This is sweet, sweet coconutty heaven! I’m a sucker for a sugary scent and this just does it for me - a tropical, summery, gourmand enveloping bubble of vanilla coconut candy floss that lasts an entire day. Performs in heat, radiates off the skin like crazy. Love at first spritz

MareaCamacho

My favorite of the range.
Received several compliments already and husband can't stop snuggling into my neck. He keeps coming back to sniff and hug me
- got a compliment from person working in a luxury icecream shop
-compliment from my child's friends.
-compliments from random strangers I stand next to..

I do layer this with some milky, creamy, lactonic scents out of my collection tho so that might be why people love it more.

Some combos I've done so far is:
-Soliel Cristal + Fresh Cream Philosophy
-Soliel Cristal + Cloud Ariana Grande
-Soliel Cristal + Yara Moi Lattafa

By far my favorite fragrance to play with.

anna222

This is gorgeous. Summery & coconut-y but also gives a clean luxurious out the shower vibe too. It’s very feminine, clean, summery and elegant smelling. Perfect luxurious woman summertime scent! Better on skin than test strips btw

xsxcstarx

The perfect summer edition of LVEB, I already love the original so didnt know how it could get any better but with the addition of the coconut note this makes it 10/10 for me!

As with the original the lasting power & projection is unreal, I cant wait to start wearing this more when it gets warmer. Heady vanilla, coconut & ylang ylang. Really like Lancome fragrances

The bottle is so pretty as well!

fformoso88

I love this fragrance! It’s coconut, vanilla, powdery, sweet and sexy! I think this is perfect for spring and summer. I love the original La Vie est Belle. I don’t detect much comparison to the original. But I do really love this fragrance it smells amazing and lasts amazing too! I wore it all day and I can still smell it on my arm.

bringprivateaccordback

I've never been a fan of regular La Vie Est Belle or powdery floral scents, but this one is absolutely lovely! mix of soft/sweet vanilla, coconut and florals create a gorgeous puff of summer air. a very well balanced perfume, it's feminine and delicate but still somehow very powerful and almost intoxicating. longevity and sillage are also very good, would recommend.

edit: tested this on myself during warm & sunny summer day and it did not react too well. maybe it was a spring scent after all - still absolutely gorgeous!

vulnicured

I don't get some of the negative reviews on this one at all honestly, this is an absolutely lovely fragrance, very citrusy sparkly opening with the most delicious creamy sweet coconut/vanilla mixed with a bit of powdery florals in the drydown! I personally don't detect much of the patchouli on me at all and that's coming from someone whose nose can't stand patchouli...if anything this is deliciously sweet, creamy, warm, sophisticated coconut vanilla that's very very uplifting, I'm glad I decided on buying this one as it turned out to be one of my favorite coconut/vanilla scents that I tried and I just can't stop wearing! It lasts quite a long time on me too and people around me always seem to notice when I'm wearing it and compliment me almost every time.
I'm really happy I found the one LVEB that works for me and that I adore, it's sad that it's a limited edition though!

This is so like Este Lauder Bronze goddess. The coconut is the same. I can smell the patchoulis which is similar to the Miss Dior perfume. It’s fresh but sweet with a sense of bronzed butteriness. I look forward to wearing this for spring and summer.

angelicluvs 🎀

a very womanly and moreover mature fragrance; I think this is a good spring scent as the floral scent is very strong with a hint of vanilla and musk

CatOwned

I think this smells somewhat pleasant upon first spraying, but this drydown grosses me out for some reason.

rosebud7

I have grown to like this scent very much. I don't own other LVEB fragrances nor have I tested them that much either, so I can't compare this to the original or the other flankers. But one perfume this does remind me of is Black Opium and especially Black Opium Floral Shock. They are not dupes by any means but imo they are similar. I have read reviews about LVEB Soleil Cristal saying it's an "old lady fragrance" but I disagree. On me at least, it smells fresh floral and powdery in a clean and youthful way, also a little bit lactonic. I wouldn't say this isn't suitable for younger people, but this might be a bit bold choice for someone in their early 20s (however, I think on the right occasion and with the right wearer, someone young can still rock this perfume!).

A little warning: it has a strong sillage and overall it's a strong scent that can be even headache-inducing for some.

Elfin Will

I definitely prefer this version to the original LVEB and its cloying excess of fruitchouli. Here, the coconut is dominant (which is fine with me being a coconut fan) and the patchouli and iris are less noticeable (finally!). I usually like patchouli, but I feel It's gone bad in the whole line of LVEB.

However, if I had to choose a sunny perfume that reminds me of the beach and summer, I wouldn't choose a perfume containing patchouli (it's more suitable for winter), and I think I would turn to La Nuit Trésor Nude, Alien Goddess, Soleil Blanc, or even Olympea (all without patchouli, with similar notes to LVEB Soleil Cristal).

7/10

lmnsvgz

The hype was so big so I truly expected something interesting. It is the typical sweet coconut scent with some florals in the background. This is SO CLOYING THOUGH. The whole line is extremely strong and cloying. Is it good? Yes. But I cannot imagine wearing this in the summer.

anjunakerry

Got a great steal on this from Boots at Christmas. 50ml from £85 to £42 (currently on sale for mother's day too) So I bought blind and I'm totally disappointed with it. To my nose there is no LVEB dna in this flanker at all. Same goes for the sillage and longevity. Nothing compared to the original. Note I said "to my nose". It probably doesn't like my chemistry. I don't get any vanilla or coconut, Damn I don't even get Patchouli in this. What I do get is a heavy heavy iris note and a powder note. It does hit like lipstick/eye shadow scent on me. I bought blind based on the reviews on here🤣 expecting a summer coconut beach vibe type smell. Got nothing of the sort, I don't have many blind bye fails...But this is one of them.

I am however going to put it away till late spring, See if the notes hit different in the heat.

Laurus

It is true that it does not smell like La Vie Est Belle. However I feel that it smells just like Tous Love Me The Onyx and it resembles Dior Poison Girl EDP. This is too sweet for me. Unbearable even.

noodlehead19

stumbled across this one in my hunt for the ultimate summer fragrance. alas, I was sorely disappointed. the notes themselves scream summer to me (coconut & ylang ylang especially) but when put together they are anything but on me. I get a very heavy, heady coconut sunscreen with a hefty dose of patchouli. it lasts a while, which sucks; the patchouli makes it smell so dirty in a way that I don't think is very fitting for warmer weather. it could just be my personal skin chemistry, but I couldn't stand smelling this on myself. not at all a safe blind buy.

Karen Campos (EN)

This fragrance came to me in a sample and it quickly became one of my sweet summer fragrances.
I don't like the original fragrance, but this one does. It's very very sweet, but I feel like it works for me for summer anyway. The aroma of creamy coconut and vanilla is very noticeable, but it is a much more elegant aroma, I would say, it is not the typical aroma of sun cream, no no no. For a summer afternoon, I find it great. Its sillage and incredible duration. on my skin it lasts 10 hours and on clothes until washed. Apply carefully, because some people may find it a bit cloying, not at all to my liking, I find it bearable.

Emmasofia

I don’t LOVE this perfume, but I like it. It‘s a more lowkey creamy vanilla with coconut and some flowers, rather sweet but not overbearing. It’s girly and smells yummy, gives me beach vibes a little but I think it can be used all year long. Other people can smell it when standing next to you, at least for a couple hours. On the skin it lasts ca. 6 hours on me. A nice perfume but I personally won’t buy again.

Shan101beauty

Sweet creamy coconut and floral. Nothing special, can be a bit cloying. Still trying to figure out if i like it.

erika.isme.98

No thank you. This scent makes me feel like I got pelted in the nose with a bag of assorted jellybeans.

My second Lancôme perfume! I really really like it, it’s such a beautiful fragrance! When I heard of it I was immediately drawn to the vanilla and coconut notes, and since I enjoy the OG and the Intensement I wanted to try this one out. I definitely think that the original LVEB DNA is there, in the same way that it’s sweet but not juvenile sweet and has depth to it. To me this is a gorgeous, bright and sweet floral scent and I can definitely smell the coconut there too. The coconut isn’t too prominent, it’s there but not in your face. It doesn’t smell like sunscreen either like a lot of fragrances with coconut tend to do, which is a good thing! I was a bit scared of the pink pepper note since in LVEB Intensement I think it overpowers the opening, but I can’t detect any pepper notes in this one. It’s a tad bit citrus thanks to the mandarin and bergamot but I mainly get the florals, patchouli (probably another thing that makes it similar to the OG) and a little vanilla and fruits (maybe it’s the ylang ylang?). I can definitely agree on that it’s a more creamy and bright floral version of the original LVEB. Definitely a summer and spring scent. I’ve got multiple compliments on it, one said they smelt it 6-7 meters away when I walked by so I guess it projects pretty well. 2 other co workers complimented me and asked me what I was wearing. My bf even said this smelled good. After about 8 hours I could still get whiffs of it from myself. And even now, after 18 hours, I can still faintly smell it on my wrists.

elizabethsantana1989

I was looking for a spring and summer fragrance that was soft and feminine. I literally made two exchanges at Macy's because I am VERY picky and the fragrances I chose were not cutting it. The lady at the counter gave me this to sample and I was so amazed. I really enjoyed La Nuit Tresor Nude, but in my opinion, this is done better. The floral notes give it a complexity that make it more sophisticated than the Tresor Nude one. I went ahead and got the 100ml bottle. This is sure not to disappoint, and I imagine it is hard to offend with this scent. It's a strong like for me.

Perfumehun

I received this as a gift and did not really care for it upon first sniff but everytime I wear this I get compliments and my husband always asks what perfume are you wearing, so it must be good right? La vie est belle Soleil crystal is a more coconut, creamy alternative to the original and perfect for summer.

tarajane91

I'm not hugely familiar with the OG, but this is beautiful coconut and florals. I'm not a huge fan of the opening, it smells a bit sharp if I put my nose very close to the scent (stops it becoming a love for me). But from a foot away and then going into the drydown, it becomes less sharp and creamier. It's really lovely!

I think this works best for spring and summer, though perhaps not in too hot and humid weather as I can imagine this becoming cloying. Longevity and sillage are good too! I will be wearing it often this spring as it just feels joyful. It was definitely worth the Black Friday price for me!

Bokato

I’ve wanted this for so long and now I finally have it 🥰 it smells sooo goood and feminine tropical florals with creamy coconut it’s my new favorite this’s what I’d wear to feel my sweet soft feminine side this smells like a girl in a oil painting wearing a baby pink dress in the middle of a garden with the sun shining on her. Purely warm soft and sweet✨💖

anngelica

This fragrance incorporates the essence of the modern perfumery. The splendid sun caressing tropical flowers spread on hot stones. Wafts of sweet pastry filling the air. Femininity, sensuality and non-riskiness. Those having extravagant olfactory tastes (I belong to this group 😉) may still wish to possess a fragrance according to the modern trends: La Vie Est Belle or some of its numerous flankers might be a good solution for this.

KevinTheCarrot

I bought this on a Black Friday offer, as I was curious about it and it was half price. I don't like the original La Vie Est Belle at all, but for a flanker, this isn't anything like it!

The scent is pleasant enough, I can definitely smell the citrus and the coconut to begin with. The dry down is quite subtle for me, until it dries down into a slightly warm vanilla jasmine.

It's not a bad blind buy, but I'm not sure I'd buy it again. I have a lot of summery perfumes, so I'll consider a swap within the UK.

margus.destiny

Smells like bees and honey. Really nice perfume.
Maybe a bit overpriced!

Dakota22

Low rating for this? it is gorgeous lasts all day. Similar to Alien Goddess, but Soleil is cheaper.

jajakapitan

A lover of the rest of the La Vie range, I kinda blind bought this as I liked the idea of a coconut note. And my days, am I glad I did. A beautiful perfume that is feminine, soft and cosy. Despite being soft and cosy, this can be worn by a strong female who likes to show she has sensibility in life. She’s assertive yet practical.

AshkaBabe

Just got this in the mail. The bottle is gorgeous and the scent...ahhh...it was what I expected..it was bright, fresh and I smell the coconut right away. I live in the tropics and this is definitely up my alley. I have the OG and the L'eclat which I also enjoy but this is definitely true to its description...one happy and elegant scent for the summer. Its a sophisticated take on coconut...a blind buy and I'm glad that it was love at first sniff💜

After wearing it for a good 5 hours, I can still smell it on me. However, the coconut and citrus notes which I loved in the opening is now dialed down. I get now the semblance of Soleil Cristal to the OG in the dry down but less patchouli. It is more of a coconut-vanilla which is still beautiful. It also reminds me of the dry down of YSL Mon Paris Couture for some reason though that one is more fruity. Maybe its because of the patchouli. No complaints here. Still loving it. Longevity is pretty good...I wore it in the evening and I can still smell it on me til the next day.

Heidi2021

I only tested this at sephora, so keep that in mind. I usually really like Lancôme perfumes, but this one I dont know. When I sprayed it I got something I like but also something that wasn't nice. That note or mix of notes really bothered me. I'm glad I didn't blindbuy this. I have thought about doing that a lot of times because the notes sound so good. Bottle is beautiful.

Twentzel

It was a blind buy in 2021 and I didn’t like it, just like most of the others of this collection by Lancôme.
It was spring time and the bottle got my attention 😏

One year and a half later, it’s the autumn of 2022 and I decided to revisit this fragrance.
Surprisingly I like it more now 🤷♀️

I know it supposed to be a summer fragrance but I think it suits better the cold weather, otherwise it can be too overwhelming. It’s heavy on Vanilla, Iris and Coconut. Very powdery and cozy. Perfect for this time of the year, in my opinion 🍁🍂❄️☃️

AuthenticAF

Just got my full bottle today! Love this

Update: ive been wearing this a lot and noted i believe it performs better when a bit warmer or in some humidity

flores33

It is definitely my kind of scent. Sweet, excotic, floral, warm, very long lasting. Right after spraying it is too strong for me, but after about an hour later the scent becomes incredibly delightful. I feel so cosy when I wear it.

miss_aly

I tested a sample of this from my mom last Christmas. I remember loving it so I decided to pull the trigger on a full bottle when I caught it on sale. I still really enjoy it! Is it similar to the original LVEB DNA? Not really. It's a soft coconutty floral but it's so yummy! Kinda similar to Terra by Armani. I see the resemblance to Olympea flankers. Maybe even a softer version of Girl of Now by Ellie Saab. The bottle is gorgeous and I'm happy that I found "my LVEB". I actually enjoy when flankers are more different than the orginal. Some brands push flankers that have no differences (*cough* Black Opium *cough* Cloud *cough*). But I also agree that maybe there could've been a hint more of the original DNA in this one. Regardless, I enjoy it and it's a great everyday frag!

SandyMelak

Exact copy of olympea LEGEND
Twin sister
maybe olynpea legend a liiiitle bit more strong

I watched a you tube review this past week talking about this perfume and how it worked for transitional seasons like fall, and despite having a coconut note, it isnt just for the beach. I thought well that makes sense. I sampled it yesterday at macys and i was instantly in love! The creamy scent of coconut was so amazing! I absolutely must have this. Last night i couldnt stop dreaming of all things coconut- i considered making coconut ice cream, coconut milkshakes, coconut cookies. Weirdly, i never liked coconut much as a kid, but damn i do love it now! I will wear this all year i dont care what season it is!
Also— it really is a totally different fragrance than lveb, it stands on its own!

herculano

This was one of my biggest blind buy regrets. I never tried LVEB, BTW, but I bought this flanker blind because it was a coco summer frag with great longevity… from a reputable house.
The little girl in me also loved the bottle design, more than I care to admit. (I do believe the bottle design was a big factor in why I couldn’t resist buying this).

Once I had it I found it saccharine sweet, starchy, and I just couldn’t bring myself to wear it. It really missed the mark, and I came away from it believing the creators tried a little to hard.

I’ve changed my mind.
Fall is here, but the weather is still quite warm, and I suddenly love this.
It is not my favorite perfume in my collection, but for whatever reason it has begun to change from a hate to a like.

There’s a creamy element to this that I find very well executed, and wholesome.

I think this one is too sweet for my tastes in the hot summer. But in early fall, it fits the bill.

Update:
meh. Later in the day I am feeling very done with it again.

This will never be a favorite of mine, but for certain moods and weather it can be perfect. Not a total loss.

However, I never would have bought this had I smelled it first.

leclerclover

Words can not describe how much I LOVE this perfume! It smells amazing, its long lasting, and trust me, you will get compliments!! Defo one of my signature scents, I recommend for people that like vanilla-like scents :)

smccmurphy

Smells classic, veryyy sweet and floral. Citrus and pepper are not overwhelming. A bit generic and certainly synthetic but not unpleasant. Beware of nose blindness though, my friend kept spraying it since she thought it was wearing off and it was not wearing off lol- definitely will give others a headache if you overdo it (like, more than one spray every few hours). Due to its strength I wouldn’t say this is office safe, but it does feel fine for day or night or any season. I probably wouldn’t buy a full bottle.

Cookietookie215

This doesn’t not have any LVEB dna. I was expecting a light, gourmand coconut dessert version of LVEB and i was wrong. The original has a unique way of being fresh, sweet and warm all at once. This smells like if La Vie was stripped apart, the sweet sugary accord is no longer there. There’s a lot of white florals, coconut and patchouli and hints of vanilla. The vanilla is not gourmand at all it’s just warm. I got hints sunscreen and coconut-lime, it’s a very tropical intense fragrance. The only similarities with LVEB is the monstrosity in silage and longevity. If I smelled this on someone I wouldn’t think it’s anything having to do with LVEB. First flanker I’ve smelled that has nothing remotely similar to the original. Don’t blind buy, not safe!

Krem4e363

Любими съставки. Пасва много добре на кожата ми.. Супер секси е.

l_02mx

This was so disappointing to me, I can hardly smell this! At all on skin or clothes so I can’t even say what it smells like because It has 0 smell, there’s possibly a faint smell but I can’t even make out what this is. I got the 15ml (from a legit retailer) mini expecting to love it but there’s nothing, nada. Giving this to my mum. So unfortunate:(

energia

One of my worst blind buys.

swedishmilk15

Nice! I bought this because I was curious about the LVEB line but I'm not generally interested in extremely sweet scents. The reviews about it smelling like old people, etc. gave me hope, as I love vintage, and chypres are a favorite. This doesn't smell vintage to me, but I like it. The pink pepper isn't too strong here, which I appreciate. Too much pink pepper always smells cheap and overly unisex to me. The coconut is noticeable but this doesn't smell like tanning oil. It immediately reminded me of Kimora Simmons Dare Me/Baby Phat. Musky coconut with some white florals supporting, on a base of creamy sandalwood. I do think there's sandalwood in here, maybe not a prominent note. LVEB also adds the woody and waxy iris which, to me, is unusual and beautiful in combination with the coconut. It's not a love, but it will definitely find summer wear in my collection. Also, the bottle is really pretty! I love its little neckerchief, so cute!

Чебурашка

I actually bought it for a present because it was discounted. I had the aroma on a tester paper with me and could not stop smelling it all day. At the end I bought it also for myself. I like it much more than the original La Vie Est Belle, but I find it most suitable for summer. It does give me this beachy vibe and it is definitely sweet. I just bought my second 50mL bottle.

Klmvid

Love the smell of this! Unfortunately it makes me really sick to the point where I believed I had food poisoning at three separate occasions while wearing this scent until I finally made the connection. Sold it.

Squirlookal

To me, LVEB Soleil Cristal smells like waxy, salty coconut soap flakes. 😕

And I really don't like salty perfumes (didn't like Olympea or Olympea Intense for the same reasons). Keep testing it, in hopes it might grow on me, but sadly no, it always smells like waxy, salty coconut soap flakes. 😢

It's weird, as salt isn't listed in the notes. But I suppose it results from the Ylang-Ylang mixing with the pepper note? Either way, sadly this one doesn't work for me. Far too salty & no where near enough sweetness. Much prefer the original LVEB & LVEB Intensement (which is my absolute favourite from the line!)

Oh & if you like coconut perfumes but aren't keen on salty / waxy notes or Ylang-Ylang, I recommend Lancome La Nuit Tresor Nude instead. It's much sweeter. Love that one.

Update - Today I tried this on my skin for the first time & surprisingly it smelt a lot sweeter. Don't get me wrong, it's still my least favourite LVEB out of all the ones I've tried, but think it may be very slowly growing on me. Anywho, thought I better put an update. Will likely still be on the declutter block, but may give it a few more chances, before I ditch it for good.

elizecharlotte

This perfume was a blind buy for me, I thought I would like it based on the notes. However, it is slighly headache inducing for me. Something about it reminds me of the scent of new or rental cars, perhaps its wiper fluid. I still wear it on occasion, but definetely not my favorite.

Perfumerzlove

A great coconut fragrance with incredible longevity and projection. Definitely for a coconut lover, who wants to be noticed. Almost get a cold vibe with this one, not like mint but a cold feeling. This could be worn year-round, but I’m thinking it would be great in winter months as well. Probably one of my personal favorites from Lancôme. :)

Bluerabbit

I did not think I would like this perfume. Lancôme la vie est belle line has assaulted me in magazine samples before and it’s a yawn like a lot of department store samplers: a synthetic punch in the face, too floral , too biting. Because of online recommendations I grudgingly ordered a 2ml in search of a summer perfume.

Boy was I wrong! The opening IS strong, synthetic, floral “department store perfume counter” but it only lasts a few seconds. What’s left behind is the best floral blend I’ve ever smelled- and I hate floral perfumes. There’s vanilla, but it’s balanced by the iris and Jasmine. In turn, the iris and Jasmine don’t get full command thanks to the pepper and solar notes. There is a faint powdery-ness (usually a hate for me) but it’s mellow and almost marshmallow for me- probably due to the coconut. It gives this perfume a clean scent, a very youthful “just out of the bath” scent without being “old”.

I hate patchouli usually, it is too often way spicy/dirty, but I don’t detect it in this fragrance. I know patchouli can smell a bit soap like when done right, and I think that it blends very quietly and nicely with the powder/coconut. Occasionally I get “warm vanilla sugar” from Bath and Body works (blegh) from this but only from certain whiffs when the vanilla is strong. Then I smell it again and pick up on the florals and the other more complex notes, which give it that “expensive” feel. Nothing against Warm Vanilla Sugar, but I like that right when you think this is a basic scent it sends you into these other more interesting beautiful notes that bring intrigue.

The dry down is coconut/vanilla, not very sweet with a little powder and that tiny bit of patchouli. The coconut is not super strong. It’s skin scent at this point, and I love it! So many perfumes are too showy to really go to sleep in, but I actually like putting this on before bed. This can be worn anywhere, any time of year. This is going to be my new signature scent.

That being said, if you’re looking for something with a lot of warmth, spicy, gourmand and/ or tropical smelling… this isn’t it. This also isn’t a puzzling/strange perfume (looking at you, Vacation by Arquiste) and it’s not busy or flashy. It’s more of a beautiful flower arrangement in a white room on a sunny day. I don’t really get “sunscreen” from this at all. This wasn’t what I was looking for yet I’ve bought the full size already.

kcusick86

Disappointed. Not what I had in mind. I thought this would be similar to Alien Goddess, but this one’s a little too.. powdery maybe? I’m not sure maybe it’s the florals but it gives me older lady vibes. Better in the dry down but I don’t think I’ll be using it much as my partner didn’t like it. Glad I bought a dupe and didn’t spend a lot.

Aliebling

I couldn't put my figure on why I don't like this fragrance until I read a review saying it reminded someone of Coco Mademoiselle. That's it - it's got the same cloying orange note in the opening that makes Coco Mad completely unwearable for me. It fades a lot after the first few minutes but it's still there, ruining the nice powdery coconut I'm trying to enjoy. Hurts my nose.

I actually love the original LVEB but I haven't liked any of the flankers I've tried. This one bears no resemblance to LVEB at all, in my opinion.

marigoldmarigold

smells like the inside of a car with a synthetic sweet opening. yuck.

kobylnice

Pink pepper and very citrusy opening; sharp, bitter and quite synthetic. There's a pleasant mix of Ylang-Ylang and white sweet floral mid-notes, and it dries down to a creamy vanilla, coconut and patchouli scent.
In overall very generic fragrance, not bad and not wow. I rated 'dislike' because of the rather synthetic opening - not to my liking. Plus points: surprisingly strong longevity and sillage for 'summery' fragrance and not sickly sweet or too heavy.

kaorii

Bummed about this blind buy since I had high expectations! I find the initial spray headache-inducing, synthetic and sharp in an unpleasant rather than refreshing way. The white florals are way too prominent initially as well, which I find dates the scent. After about five minutes, the dry down and base notes come through and are much more likeable. The coconut is there, but it lacks the warmth and sweetness I was hoping for. The patchouli adds a dank note that considerably cuts the sweetness from the coconut and vanilla and makes it very reminiscent of sunscreen on salty, sweating skin. Ultimately, it's not unpleasant, but I expected this to be a gourmand fragrance— which it isn't despite the base notes. I'm trying to figure out other scents to layer this fragrance with, but I find the opening so off-putting that I may just end up giving it away.

Musky4

I really thought I would love this - the notes all sound right up my street, but if only the coconut were creamier... I would also have liked this with a nutty note, to cut through the sharpness of the screechy notes and give it a bit more softness and depth. my two favourite perfumes from the LVEB line (Intense and the original EdT) have now both been discontinued, and ironically were the only two in the range to contain nutty notes, which made them smell so beautifully blended to me. I got myself a travel sized bottle of Soleil Cristal and as it's so convenient to carry round, I have been wearing it a lot and it has grown on me. I don't find it as sweet as others, but the lasting power is just as insane as the original EdP. It's not got that specialness that I hoped for, but I will use it whilst I await the next LVEB release (sigh), which I'm hoping will contain some nuts at least... Will also try layering in with LNT Nude and see how that works out.

eva.daisy.88

I sprayed it on myself today in the perfumery. Nah, the coconut vanilla mixture smells like a sunscreen on my skin. It then turns into sweet, floral scent which though has a bit bitter undertone It just doesn’t work for me.

Juels

I simply love it! First I did not like it at all, when smelled it on paper! With one order I received a sample and applied it directly on clean skin. Ooh that was a big big difference on the way it is smelling on my skin! It's something very warm, lovely with summer vibes. I feel it like a warm hug from the sun, citrus, a little powdery and a hint of coconut. I'm not a fan of coconut in perfumes but here smells really good. It's longevity on my skin is around 6 hours and silage is around one arm around me in the first hours, than stays close to my skin. It's a sweet and powerful fragrance, not for every nose!
Smells like summer holiday!
LE: Now I'm on the 3rd bottle, this is happiness in a bottle! Love it!

DiscoPolga

I received a travel size 10ml as part of a Sephora gift with purchase. I would normally never go for the LVEB line, it was advertised to death and I try to stay away from mass market best sellers. Soleil Cristal was a nice surprise! It's airy and salty - so surprised salt isn't mentioned in the notes as I get sea salt and sweet coconut. I'm testing it in mild weather (20 degrees outside) and it's lovely. Takes me to a tropical island. Suntan lotion scent done well!

Nocciola23

Love this. Like being at the beach, very classy coconut.

kkaattjjeess

I think I am the least picky person when it comes to coconut scents (that's how much I like coconut), but this fragrance is just not nice. It all sounds good in theory (and I also don't have any issues with it being a LVEB flanker), but the original LVEB mixed with a coconutty scent is just not it. I wish they made it less similar to LVEB, they could have still marketed it as a flanker (like Lancome Tresor Nude has nothing to do with the line, it's just a random coconutty scent that I love btw).

Gosh

I got a 15ml bottle (rectangular non iridescent) for good price online and thank god I didn't got a larger bottle. I really liked it in store, one spray on my wrist. Very sweet, coconut, yet classy, ladylike, but still young. Iris and white florals are beautiful and well blended. However, after a full day of wearing in warm weather (20+) there is too much of OG LVEB in the drydown for me as well. Projection is very good first 2 hours, then softens, but its still noticeable. It lasts on me 6 hours tops, so I resprayed twice during the day. For me its just too much sweet patchouli I remember from the OG. I would love it without the patchouli, but with light woods and musk base. I had a bottle of OG and didn't wear it much and eventually gifted it to my mother. Soleil cristal I still might use for the summer night out, but for the day/night and much better effect and similar vibe in summer (under 30 degrees C) I prefer the Hypnotic poison, which is nicer, more elegant, similar amount of powder.

inesita75

OK I already wrote my review (see below) but just wanted to add I'm really surprised with some other comments.
Maybe this is a perfume that changes A LOT between one skin and the other, depending on each one's "chemistry".
Because I see a lot of comments about how strong the patchouli is here, and how the coconut fades, and I don't sense that at all. Only on the far drydown, I can smell some patchouli, but never overpowering the other notes. And the coconut is present all the time, even after many hours.
And that's what I LOVE about this perfume. It's a gorgeous coconut, not childish, not cheap, very well balanced with the iris which gives the perfume elegance. I can't smell the ylang ylang though (it's a note I really like).
I've been collecting perfumes for 5 years now, buying, selling, sampling, testing everything that crossed my nose (and that was A LOT), and I never smelled anything that was (for me) better than Hypnotic Poison EDT, which is my holy grial.
Well I'm thinking I love this one even more, that's how much in love I am with it. A masterpiece, it makes me feel like I don't need any other perfume (if I were not the fragrance addict I actually am). It just checks all the boxes.
Conclusion: one man's (or woman's in this case) trash, is another one's treasure, as the saying goes. Keep that in mind, and do your own testing. Don't risk to miss your own holy grial.

Sweetfemme

I loved when I smelled the coconut and floral notes along with the vanilla. It was perfect.
But as it dries the coconut is gone on my skin and I’m left with a patchouli bomb (which is beautiful but I was looking for a coconut heavy fragrance)
The dry down is a sweet patchouli floral fragrance that is still a bit beachy but not the coconut bomb I was looking for.
Would be nice for both a night out in the summer or brunch or in transitional weather.

Not for me but I can see why people love it. If I didn’t have my mind set on coconut I would love it too.

Edit;

It reminds me of coco mademoiselle with a small hint of coconut(doesn’t smell the same but reminds me of it). If you like the idea of coco mademoiselle with a small hint of coconut you’ll enjoy this.

I realize that some famous YouTubers (or social media "influencers") do not talk favorably about the La vie est Belle lines (I also love Black Opium lines, ahem). I feel that these influencers have conditioned the way we experience certain scents without giving it our own subjective thoughts and experiences on how these perfumes interchange with our own skin chemistry and how it makes us feel. Well, I am here to say that I love this version of the original LVEB. Opens up as tropical flowers, dries down into a drier version of ylang-ylang, which I love. A little bit of a plastic-y note at the end, which I am not opposed to. Experience your scents, honor the work that went behind it, and if you don't like it, just move on without the hate.

hostronic

Within the first 5 minutes La Vie Est Belle Soleil Cristal is pretty citrus forward, but once the fragrance has had several minutes to warm up the citrus notes fall to the back and more of the coconut and vanilla come through. The floral notes round out the the scent profile and keep the coconut from pulling too sweet and piña colada-esque.

Edit:
I reeally wanted to love this, but a day later I realized that while I love patchouli, it really outshines the coconut and keeps this fragrance from being the perfect beachy coconut scent I was hoping for. Also just now noticed the iris note in this perfume, which does lend a screechy quality upon initial spray. Exchanged this one for Gucci Bloom, which I surprisingly loved, and decided to continue my hunt for the perfect beach coconut fragrance.

If you dislike iris or were hoping for a beachy coconut frag like I was, I would skip this one.

mattisaw

i give this 2 stars… it smells like pure patchouli on my skin 🤢

wondervalley666

It’s ok but I’m going to have to pass on this one. I hate patchouli-it turns sour on my skin and whenever I smell it anywhere on anyone, it makes me think of sweaty feet, onion armpits, and unwashed hair. I think California hippies ruined all patchouli for me. I ordered a mini because I like Rapion a lot and was told this was similar to Tresor Nude, which I love. It may be, but the patchouli is dominate enough that the fragrance comes off as sweaty, dirty, overly herbal, and almost a bit plasticky. I’d prefer this over a lot of other patchouli scents, but I’d probably just stop wearing perfume before I’d start spraying myself with this. If you’re a patchouli beachy scent fan, this is pretty “nice,” just not my taste.

I own Tresor Nude, alien & alien goddess, Olympea, beach walk, and Soleil blanc (I’m a beach scent lover) and would say this is NOT a safe blind buy based on those “reminds me of “ recommendations. This doesn’t remind me of any of them AT ALL. It’s a very different scent. Test first!

HillTop

First impression: Sultry. And the question on what it reminds me… well one look at fragrantica told me it is PR Olympea which I had long time ago for sample. So this is definitely different to the other LVEB flankers and it doesn‘t feel like a member of the family rather a nice person you used to know years ago. No safe blind buy but if you love the original it is absolutely worth trying. And yes it has that Mugler Alien Vibe also (I guess due to strong jasmine) but in a more soft and pleasant way. For me it feels like a special summer scent - sea and beach combined. Give it time to work on your skin, close your eyes and imagine a walk along the beach, wind in your hair and coconut cocktails are served somewhere at a bar close by. That‘s LVEB Soleil Cristal.

DQKidd

Ive been looking for a good coconut perfume for a good while and Soleil Blanc is by far my fav but unfortunately its out of my budget. Found this and after all the reviews ive seen on YouTube by fellow fragrance lovers and the fact that folks compared this to the aforementioned and Beach Walk by Replica, i was pretty sold (even though I would be blind buying it, which definitely has the potential of becoming a bad deal and after one of the reviews compared the dry down of mixing patchouli and coconut as dirty I was a bit scared).

LUCKY for my I Love the Product I ended up getting. Definitely pretty long lasting with good silage, however I disagree with its comparison it gets with Soleil Blanc and Beach Walk because I dont think it smells like either.

This Actually smells more like Tom Fords Orchid Soleil, Especially in the Mid-Dry Down aspect of it thankfully the bright opening of Soleil Cristal Helps to tone down it down it bit.

Definitely was a good buy from my point of view but id recommend sampling before you buy.

EDIT* About a couple days later I sprayed both this and Soleil Blanc on paper and compared them side by side and I found that Note wise they share alot of similarities but they couldn't smell anymore different. This fragrance vs Soleil Blanc and Beach walk, they all have a sort of very zesty opening but I find that with Soleil Cristal, its way more blended with florals and a tad bit of spiciness where as they others are deff more "beachy" or "suntan-ish" and "creamy"

anthemily

Do not blind buy this perfume. I got a sample bottle after my favourite blogger said this is her favourite LVEB flanker. Today i am trying, I get salty, sweaty, sickly coconut. My husband thinks it’s nice, sweet coconut- so it’s different to everyone. Didn’t realise it was Chypre which is probably why I don’t like it. I don’t like the chypre Olympia either, chypre is just not for me.

giri-boni

Why did Womanity Le Gout remind me of this one?

pennyligeia

Vile. Sharp, screeching, headache inducing vileness.
Has an almost soured smell. Reminds me of some loud perfume old ladies used to wear.
I'm giving the entire bottle away to someone I dislike

blairwarner

At first it had that typical, slightly abrasive perfumey smell, but then once it mellowed out, it turned into a powdery coconut on me. It performed beautifully in the heat and humidity - not too cloying but still having a sense of sweetness about it. One of my students said that something smelled good (ie: my perfume), and so that's a win if it works for school. It lasted over 12 hours on me, although at the end it was more of a skin-scent, which is to be expected.

Overall, it's a good summer reach but something you do have to be in the mood for. The powdery vibe isn't always THE vibe, but it's nice when you want a clean, feminine, sweet scent for warmer weather.

LadyJedi

I blind bought this a couple of months ago because of all the positive reviews. Sadly, it turned out to be quite a pricy disappointment and eventually I had to give it away. The scent itself is pleasant and creamy with prominent vanilla notes. I do get the Olympea vibe in the opening though Olympea is louder and more aggressively sweet. The zero trail and the limited lasting power are my main concerns - I literally bathed in it and the most I got was 2hrs. It sits very close to the skin and gives no projection at all. Perhaps it just disagrees with my body chemistry or I'm now too used to my other beast mode perfumes. Anyway, it's a nice fragrance but my advice is try on your skin several times before you buy!

P.S. OMG!!! Today I smelled it on my friend and it was divine with magical and oh so prominent coconut and vanilla notes. I couldn't believe it was the same perfume I gave away to her when she said it lasted ages on her skin. A magnificent trail and projection. I could literally smell her route in the building. That's so unfair!

AnaCristian

It's a nice summery smell, a bit sweet, very creamy, very rich in coconut and vanilla, it will definitely lift up your mood. It's very long lasting and it projects just fine (it sits on you like an aura, but I don't think you will leave a trail). I don't think it has much in common with the others in the LVEB line, like her sister from another mother, Alien Goddess (for me, they are exactly the same, I wore them alternatively to see if I will sense much of a difference and I do not).

inesita75

I adore this.
It's funny how impressions change from the moment you first "meet" a new perfume, to the day when you already wore it several times.
At first in the store, when I tested it on paper I sensed a highlighted chalk note (maybe the iris? IDK). It was very notorious and weird but I went ahead and got it nevertheless because I'm a sucker for the coconut note and I didn't have any other coconut prominent perfumes.
I never had the original LVEB, but from what I remember about it when my mom had it, this is not very similar.
It just unfolds a divine chemistry on my skin. It's gorgeous. To me, it doesn't smell synthetic, or cheap.
The best part: it's not overly sweet (I was worried because I don't like very sweet scents, and sweet is listed second on the main accords in the fragrance profile here). I sense a nice muskiness on it, even though musk is not listed in the notes.
And the performance is not disappointing either (which was my other worry). I sprayed it 7 hours ago and I still smell it on myself without sniffing my wrists.
The bottle is also really beautiful. It's a shame I keep all my fumes in their boxes in a dark cupboard, because it deserves to be displayed.
Overall: just amazing.

gunnerbower123

Personally, this just smells like a creamier version of Alien Goddess. I prefer this, however. I can sense the coconut though, but as others have said, it’s definitely not prominent, and I have to search out for it. The pink pepper note is striking but fades rather quickly, and it is similar to the sharpness that Goddess has for a moment as it dries down.

liebecherie

I was not a fan of how the fragrance smelled in the beginning. I think I didn’t like the pink pepper in it. However, I liked the dry down. The dry down is a nice coconut, powdery, slightly vanilla scent.

strawwbebby

Reminds me of CK Reveal. Powdery and dry, a bit salty and sweet. Very beachy fragrance. I only smell the original LVEB scent directly after spraying it on. After a few minutes, it is barely noticeable that it's from the same perfume family.

AngelMuse123

Just sprayed a sample this and so far loving it. It definitely is a summer scent with that prominent coconut note. I would describe this as smelling like expensive suncream, with a feminine sweetness. At times it also reminds me of Lush's Snow Fairy. Like the original La Vie Est Belle, it has an impressive performance. I will wear it a few more times and see how it dries down before deciding to buy the full size. But so far, impressed.

PGak

This is a stunning coconut suntan-lotion fragrance. If you want a beachy coconut - this is it!! This is salty, sandy, naked skin lathered in coconut.

Reading some of the reviews, I think some people may be asnomic to the coconut. I know that for the first few days I could only smell the powdery iris which scared the eff out of me! However, I now get a fruity mandarin at initial spray which quickly settles into a thick heavy coconut-vanilla and zero iris. Not too sweet. This will definitely be my summer scent!! And the bottle is incredible!!

Fatima Fabiola

Girls, don't waste your money, please. It is the SAME THING AS STORIES BY DKNY. Yes, it is. But Stories is cheapier and people use to hate it. From now on, Stories, will be love ...

kat716

coconutty powdery scent that can be worn all year around. Great lasting power.

nateya

Tropical coconut sunscreen scent that smells very perfumey. This is definitely one my favorite coconut perfume and probably the safest one too! This is a very pretty summer scent.

Jenbug23

I have not smelled the original LVEB but I decided to take a chance on this flanker. Beautiful floral opening followed by a really thick coconut and vanilla note. I won't lie, the first time I smelled this I was nauseated by how thick the coconut was. However after about a month of macerating, I tried it again and its much more balanced! The coconut, vanilla and orange blossom blended beautifully. The coconut is still dominant throughout but much better. If you don't like a dominant coconut smell, you might want to pass.

Leigh-xox

This is a really beautiful scent. For me it combines the best parts of the original LVEB and Olympea into one. It also lasts absolutely ages, I could smell it all day and I didn’t have to spray much at all. The weather is still miserable in the UK but I can’t wait to use this in spring and summer!

DJoy27

Omg this makes my mouth water. Such a juicy, sweet citrus floral scent that’s also creamy and vanillic. Perfect sexy summer scent, although I could easily see wearing this year round because it’s rich and full. Can’t wait to wear this in the heat.

DelianaCP

So I'm testing this fragrance today and I'm disliking it a lot. At the beginning I got a sharp scent of patchouli and Ylang Ylang, then the creamy coconut came and suddenly disappeared. I was left with a powdery, old fashioned, nauseating floral. I hope that in the humid heat this perfume turns out to be a dream, but for now I can't stand it. I'll post an update after wearing it in the summer heat.
P.S. DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS PERFUME!!!

cacemonster

Tried this earlier on paper, and I dismissed it quickly as a sunscreen-like scent. But something made me go back today, and I tried it on skin. It is definitive coconutty, but with a vibe of LVEB DNA, as expected. It is not too sweet, maybe because I was expecting it to be even sweeter, because it do have a sweet vibe with vanilla, however it is not prominent on me. Ive heard some get headache from this, and I kinda get why. Although I dont exprience this as cloying or too sweet, there is something about coconut i find a little sickening over a period of time. I dont think I will be buying it, although I might be trying it again in summer, as I get this to be a summer scent for sure! Maybe ill be sold then :)

EDIT: Tried it again, this is too heavy for me, and I get almost sick from wearing it. Will not buy :(

mariakok

A more mature, less sweet version of La nuit tresor nude. Even though they both have coconut I think this is more appropriate for summer as it’s fresher and not as sugary sweet

igalmusic

Wow! What a beautiful fragrance, I couldn't decide between this and La Nuit Nude, I bought both but honestly I love this one so much more! This one is not as sickly sweet, more of a grownup coconut scent, very powdery and sexy. Appropriate for every occasion. Great quality, super long lasting with great projection and this stunning bottle is just a bonus, Well done Lancome!

Kanutten

I absolutely love this! My wish list just got one more fragrance.
This smells like a hybrid of La Vie est Belle + something from the Olympea line. Salt is not listed, but I'd say this is a warm, salty coconut with sunshine notes added:)

Good projection and longevity. If you like the Olympea's and the LVB line it's a pretty safe blind buy. If not, you should definitely test first. For me, it's a love.

Soleil Cristal is warm, beachy and cheerful.

leslie_ef

I'm in love with this perfume! I was seeking for a new fragrance for me, something for wearing in the sunny, and hot days of Acapulco where all year is summer... And this perfume is my new favorite one. I really can't get over it! It last for hours, and I can smell the coconut odor on my skin since I apply it. Just a love at first smell!❤️😍

Burgundy Jayde

I only have a tester of this from the inside of a Vogue magazine. The bottle looks absolutely beautiful. I would buy this perfume just for the bottle. The perfume itself is so pretty it's very very summery for hot weather. I could smell the coconut and iris most . I think its overpriced though but the bottle makes it worth paying for.

Coffeeandscents

I go back and fourth with this scent. I love coconut and vanilla but there is something very screechy and overpowering in the beginning which makes me not reach for it often. The opening gives me a headache because I guess the citrus and floral is too much. The dry down is a lovely sweet coconut though. Do not spray too much!

giri-boni

Agree with the comment below which compares this fragrance to Soleil Blanc.it is indeed similar, yet this is better in my opinion. It's sweeter, creamier and luckily doesn't have that cardamom sweaty hues Tom Ford does

Matheya

The opening is beachy and warm and then it becomes more like the original - the Patchouli base is the same - but somehow it doesn't go well with the coconut. It's a bit messy to me.
Longevity is nothing like the original - this one is a weaker performer.
The original is much better in every way : more complicated, well blended , long lasting.
I expected a better perfume but the truth is you can find the same scent for much cheaper . It's just not That amazing.

Rhiannandb

God I fricken looove this milky warm spicy coconut amazing lasting power I've gotten lots of compliments . The patchouli isn't dominant and just helps make it last so delicious love at first sniff . Not the same but kinda reminds me of tom fords Soleil blanc but they are different and Its worth having both

latafan

Despite the gorgeous bottle I hadn't been tempted by this one for the longest time, reason being that I have a half full bottle of LVEB on my shelf since about 5 years at least and can't seem to make a bigger dent in it. Not that I don't like LVEB but it apparently got old for my nose pretty fast.

Anyway, I now I got a sample of Soleil Cristal with another purchase... and I think I need a bottle of this.

There is some spritzy sweet fruitiness in the beginning, after that I mostly get slightly powdery Ylang-Ylang, bright white florals and Vanilla layered with Coconut oil. It does have a coconut sun screen kind of vibe, but a lot fresher and lighter due to the head notes. I imagine this to be amazing on hot sun kissed skin. As for it's connection to LVEB, I do think I can still perceive a memory of the LVEB dna, but it's very faint. The theme is very clearly quite different here. Also as for sweetness, if LVEB is a full 100 on the sweetness scale, Soleil Cristal is maybe at about 60-70%. It is sweet, yes, but while for LVEB I always felt the sweetness intensifies the more you wear it, Soleil Cristal in the dry down focuses more on its tropical aspects with the coconut dampening the intensity of the sweetness.

Longevity is decent on me, it lasts easily over a day. Sillage is strong in the beginning but calms down quickly over the first few hours. All over it's a lot less obnoxious than LVEB.

To have a bit of further comparison, in my collection there are two fragrances that may not smell exactly the same as Soleil Cristal, but they do have a similar theme/vibe and I see myself picking up either when I'm in a tropical summer kind of mood. One would be Elle L'aime by Lolita Lempicka which shares many of Soleil Cristal's notes, but is more powdery, soapy and more heavy on the Ylang-Ylang in comparison. The other would be Dolce Garden by D&G which also has a tropical flora coconut vibe, but imo is a lot more sweet than Soleil Cristal. Again, they're not dupes of each other by any means, but if you liked either of those fragrances, you might want to check out Soleil Cristal as well.

All that being said, I'm off now to hunt for a good offer on Soleil Cristal. Keeping my rating at a like for now, but if it turns into love will be updating this review.

Edit: Yeah, I've been owning this for two weeks now, and this is clearly a love <3

vanillaorchid

At first sniff I felt too much powder and earth in the opening of this fragrance, nothing like the original La Vie Est Belle or the Intensement version, which I find kinda boring, yet "nice", nothing worth spending money on unless it's a gift for a friend who loves the DNA. However, I'm a lover of the coconut note and I believe that a little sweetness is important to balance out fragrances in general; Soleil Cristal is a much less sweet fragrance in this range, and the coconut is a timid note done beautifully here. At my second try at another store, wow, finally! Just enough of citrus to make the opening bright, the coconut is soft, yet inviting. The floral notes and patchouli/vanilla base might be generic, but the fragrance as a whole is so beautiful. The bottle is one of my all-time favorites as a fan of holographic things. Won't be buying a bottle because winter is coming and I need something better for the season, but I'm happy about this release and I hope to wear it someday.

lulu169

perfume goddess 💖
much better than any other coconut offering in the recent times

Jasmindee

Wow, this is absolutely beautiful.

Warm and inviting, the coconut, soapy orange blossom and vanilla mingled with the iconic LVEB DNA are the highlights of Soleil Cristal to me. This is a hazy summer evening in a bottle. Big floppy hat, beautiful Grecian inspired dress, glittering gold jewellery, sunkissed skin, sipping expensive champagne on a white-washed balcony.

I only got a little sample of this and I'm kicking myself. I'm going to save up and get a bottle to put away for my holiday next year. This honestly makes me feel like a classy, beautiful woman on a luxurious holiday.

angeldoll

Oh my god! My first LVEB. And it’s amazing. Smells like coconuts and vanilla heaven. A little bit powdery too… This scent is on a heavier side. But it will be great for fall and winter. I received this perfume this summer. So beautiful tho… I can’t wait for try this on rainy and cold days or nights. Lasting power is really good (at least 6 hours on my skin!) If You need a warm hug this is for you, too!<3

𝙀𝙙𝙞𝙩 - this is so long lasting! And projection on my skin is crazy… one spritz is enough!🌸

jasiepooh

this smells to me very similar to LVEB intensément, so much so that if you have one i don't reckon you'd want the other. i would say there's a sort of fruitiness to both of these perfumes - i think in intensément it's the way the raspberry note performs and in this one, it's the coconut. there's also a latex-y vibe i get with both of these that's not bad at all and makes the fragrances really interesting. if i were to compare, i think i prefer this over intensément, it's just a little less bright and in your face, a little more casual. overall, i really like it! and for what it's worth, i prefer both flankers to the OG.

giri-boni

This is gorgeous, and I can say it after dousing myself in my 100ml bottle. Creamy, sexy, warm, feminine, amazing!

lovelee8

I really wanted to like this fragrance because the bottle is stunning. I tried to make it work over the summer, however it just does not agree with my body chemistry. It smells great in the bottle but once it's on me, it turns into, well, BO. As in body odor. Yep it definitely smells like I've been at the beach all day, lol. Back to the OG LVEB i go.

Moonbeam28

I have this and it’s amazing! Lasts all day and just smells delicious. I don’t have the original to compare to, but this is so divine and I hope they don’t discontinue it.

Tarocaro

I loved this when I first smelled it in store, but I realized after buying a bottle that it wasn't what I thought it was. I thought that it would be a little more fruity and fresh, but this fragrance really does still have the LVEB DNA with the patchouli adding that spice. I do get a little bit of the sunscreen smell, but the pepper and patchouli made it pretty spicy, and I'm not a fan of spicy scents. This perfume is strong, and the lasting power is great.

DilyanaG

I have it and I LOVE IT!!!!

imimsd12

This is going smell so good this fall ..clean beautiful smell..this parfum is playful and chic and I'm get another bottle..

giri-boni

Lovely. Yes, it is sweet, but nothing here makes me think of sunscreen. It has absolutely nothing to do with a white-floral-solar-fragrance like Terracotta, for example. It does remind me of Dolce & Gabbana The Only One Intense and also of a DUPE of Soleil Blanc, which I do not know. Good perfume, young, flerty, not chic or elegant but sexy and warm. Super oily on skin, takes a couple of minutes to completely dry. No sillahe but heavy staying power.

nirvana6

A nice vanilla and coconut scent, with a mix of pachuli that makes it different. I have not La Vie est Belle, or any of its flankers, just this one. It's a mature not beachy coconut, that I can see myself wearing it in lots of different situations, in summer or winter. Day or night. It ticks all the boxes. Is it groundbreaking? I don't think so, but it is nice and easy to wear, when I want something sweet with coconut but elegant at the same time.

dearaari

LVEB DNA tucked away in the drydown - check. The opening is rather synthetic. I’ve always loved most LVEB flankers in the opening and middle but I did NOT like the opening. Kayali Utopia & Beach Walk is my yardstick to a beachy / suntan lotion scent that I love but this one feels rather rough in the opening. But the middle and dry down is lovely admittedly. From then on you get that lovely smouldering richness from the mid and base notes - quintessential Lancôme perfume character. Longevity is excellent too.

mqkm

Sweet, but strange.. I'd describe it as a mix of two scents - toothpaste and dry coconut, however luckily I don’t get the pencil shavings smell in this one like in the original one 👍 and it reminds me a little bit of Mugler Alien Goddess but the other one is bubblegum and doesn’t last as long as this one ..

Perfumepusher

Got a sample of this and tried it out the day after. It gave me compliments and smelled like a lovely powdery coconut to me. I decided to get it, so i tried it out again just to be sure - this time it smelt very harsh like some burnt latex. I’m so confused cause i really love the way it smelled on me the first time i tried it. I have to give it a last chance today and make up my mind about what i can expect from this two-faced girl.
Btw, i wouldn’t wear this in summer. I find it to be fall appropriate

LadyNika

Finally I found MY La vie est belle. I tried original, intense, intensement, eclat and eclat edt, and limited versions, but some of them dried down like pencil shavings, what I hate, the others were too strong, or soapy, or just not interesting enough...
But this one is amazing. It has LVEB dna with a lot of coconut. It's fresher, but still sweet. Not so heavy as OG. And no pencil smell 😁

Melissadiane

I absolutely LOVE this fragrance!
I don't have the original, and I didn't care much for the original when it came out. But when this one launched and it had coconut, I knew I needed to try it. I did a blind buy after reading here and watching reviews and I was not disappointed! It's really sweet, and quite strong. The base has coconut but its not sunscreen-y. It is so lovely! It's warm, floral but a creamy coconut base. I would buy back ups of this to make sure I never run out! It's strong and I get complimented on it every single time I wear it.

Update: this is hands down my favorite summer/coconut fragrance. I reach for it a ton in the warmer months, and long for it in the winter months. Permanent one in my collection

Sienna_Elise

I adore La vie est belle, it's my signature scent. I was excited to try the flankers but seriously disappointed. I cannot smell anything similar to la vie est belle, it just smells like a very weak and cheap suntan lotion with a hint of powdery coconut but not in a nice way. After 30 mins I can't smell anything

Faverinsky

I'm no fan of La Vie est Belle or its army of potent flowery patchoulis... However, this one was love at first sniff for me, and I bling bought it thanks to suggestions for many Youtubers, with a similar taste to mine. This is expensive summer to my nose; I wouldn't wear it to the beach (because it would be a waste), I'd wear it to spring/summer brunch, on a date, the races, festivals, cocktail bars, and social mixers both day and night. If you're looking for a beach perfume I suggest Dolce Garden or Coconut Fizz (Guerlain). Soleil Crystal is quite strong, long-lasting and the sillage is impressive. When I received my bottle at the office EVERYONE loved the smell and wrote down the name so they could get it to... and I do mean everyone! I'm in love!

This is what I wanted Maison Margielas Beachwalk to be(i got rid of that). Now I don't even have to look for Bronze godess skinscent anymore😁 This is perfect beachy scent with beautiful dry down of coconut and vanilla(in about 30 min), and I don't think I'll need big bottle because it's really for specific occasions aka vacation. I love!
P.s. it has nothing in common with LVEB original, they could have named it just Soleil cristal

This is the quintessential summer fragrance from Lancome. Is it the different from others, NO, but I do like it. It’s a powdery coconut dna of LVEB. It doesn’t smell exactly alike but it does carry the dna underneath the coconut and powder. I would only wear this in the summer. The bottle is the same as LVEB but with an iridescent glow. I do love the design and have a few different flankers from LVEB.

The sillage is there and I have been complimented on this plenty of times when wearing it. Longevity is ok I say on me it lasts about 6 hours but becomes a skin scent at about 4 hours. Works well with high heat and humidity. The price is typical of the Lancome line. I like this a lot and will keep it in my collection, I actually like this more than the original.

Smell cheap powdery coconut with dry patchouli. Very bad composition, im sorry for those who like it. I love all LVEB flankers except this one. :( its very overprice

Oh wow, for some reason I didn't really expect this to be super coconutty, but it really smells like if you sprayed the original LVEB over sunscreen. It's definitely a pretty heavy thick scent, despite it being summery, and it's actually what I had hoped it would be, but I just think it might be a bit cloying in high heat. Personally I still enjoy LVEB and it was one of the first perfumes I was ever interested in when I was younger, even if I've moved on to other scents. So I don't have any qualms with it being similar to the original some and knew what I was getting into with the sweetness. This also isn't projecting as much as the original, but it's still a decent amount and honestly might be a good thing if you're wearing this out in heat and humidity.

It's very sugary sweet (unsurprisingly), and less 'spicy' and slightly less cozy warm than the original, but it instead has a much more solar warmth to it. It really does feel brightened up, from the citrus and florals. This is a super sweet coconut and vanilla cream and smells fun and youthful and like a bright sunny day at the beach after applying sunscreen. There's something almost a bit nostalgic to it, too.

20 minutes later and it's a bit less ultra sunscreen-y and feels a little more like the original, but again, brightened and lightened up. I think it's gone more towards a 'yellow floral' ylang-ylang scent now.

1 hour later and it's become a lot more of a soft sweet vanilla scent. I do feel like I'm starting to tire a liiiiiittle bit of the super sweetness, but the projection has gone down at least now to more a skin scent, but it's strong on the skin. I do have to agree though too with what other people have said with it smelling more artificial now and like a candle. There's a sort of waxiness to it. There is still coconut to it too, but it's no longer a super beachy sunscreen-y coconut. It's now unsweetened coconut with sweeter vanilla cream.

I'll see how long this lasts. I honestly did really enjoy my time with this fragrance and it was a happy and fun experience, but I think more so in the beginning of spraying, and as time as gone on it's become a bit less exciting, but I wouldn't say "bad" at all.

4 hours later and wow, it's still going strong on my skin. The scent has become more of just a plasticy vanilla scent and is no longer projecting, but I'm surprised at how much it's still there. I would say that in the first 2-3 hours though the scent would flare up a bit more from time to time, but it doesn't now.

9 hours later and it's a very faint skin scent, so basically gone. It is interesting though, AlexandraTroush a bit ago said this smelled like "burnt tire." I didn't think that at all this whole time, except for now, 9 hours later, and only on my right arm. It actually does smell like burnt tire and it's super weird and I can't explain it. My right arm smells just kind of plasticy still and fine, so I have no idea what's caused that smell, especially at this point. At least it is faint.

ShowMustGoOn

There is definitely some original LVEB DNA in there but this one is actually worse. Apologies for those who love LVEB. I had the original LVEB along with the lotion and I don't like LVEB at all. This one has burnt coconut added to the original and some salty 'beach notes' I suppose. I think this is what makes it a summer fragrance. On the the dry down is definitely sweet vanilla, dirty patchouli and burnt coconut. It is unpleasant and lingers. I tried it yesterday and I let it develop. It lasted good 5 hours on my arm. Not bad for longevity but it is very headache inducing. Definitely a no for me.

Stark95

This to me smells very similar to the original LVEB but with a Paco Robanne Olympea twist. Very salty floral/citrus. But after a good 8 hours the patchouli is so prominent and has put me off. Glad I only have the sample.

Aaaareee

To me this smells quite similar to La Nuit Tresor Nude with the coconut and vanilla notes, like delicious and expensive sunscreens lol but this one is a little more "young and cheerful" scent. Not that perfumes have age, it's just because of the fruity top notes. I like it much better than the first LVEB.

SmellGoodSmells

To me this perfume reminds me of the wicker lavender car air fresheners we used to get in the 1970's, that has also had baby power added. I find it to be a very unpleasant scent.

Hamano_Chiaki

I'm very picky when it comes to tropical fragrances. For some reason I don't think they smell like "me" even though I can appreciate them. But this one is different - it's not overly tropical to be worn outside summer yet it's perfectly summer appropriate. Coconut is there but it's not overbearing and I find the mix with powdery iris quite unique. This is a very very sweet fragrance like the original (which I love btw) but somehow I don't find the sweetness too much even in the heat. I have to admit though that I wasn't a big fan at first spritz, but somehow it grew on me as I wore it. I even started noticing a hint of the original LVEB in it, but mostly it's still pretty much of its own scent.

grapefruit352

Very unique scent! It does not reminds much even the original LVEB. This flanker has its own individuality. I would say I feel here very prominent liquorice root. (a medicinal plant which sometimes being used for to make curing drinks against inflammation).
Sweetness here is not disturbing. Patchouli is soft and citruses in the top notes are very light.
Very long-lasting perfume. Couple of little sprays keeps up to 7 and more hours.
I would still recommend to test it before a purchase.

Danielle104

I really wanted to love this. I bought it as soon as it was available. But, after 3-4 full wearings, in different weather conditions, I have decided there is something in the dry down that just doesn't agree with my nose. I am not sure what note is the problem, but I get a pencil shavings note after about an hour that lasts till it's gone. Now, I may be new to fragrance but I get this each time I've worn this. It's not just wood shavings or saw dust but also the pencil lead. ??? Normally, I love a good vanilla (like Olympea), sweet fruity or coconut perfume but this one is a let down.

kaxtingitup95

This scent really does make me believe life can be beautiful. In the beginning you get coconut with a bit of the original LVEB but then it dries down to this beautiful, coconut-vanilla tropical scent. No suntan lotion vibes even though I never mind that anyway and it last FOREVER. I think this perfume will always be in my collection.

LuckyMommy

I get a bit of the OG la vie est belle right at the beginning, but it goes away to quickly.
It is really it’s own scent and I really like it.
On me it’s powdery iris, vanilla and coconut with a bit of a tropical touch in the background.
Perfect summer perfume, and I would love to bring it for a hot tropical vacation right now.

chinna

I had today a sample of this , is very summery the coconut note reminds me to banana boat and hawaian tropic sunscreen and a karite body lotion Saint ives , it seems sweet and artificial at first time and then come to your mind Olympea PR and elie saab girl of now, so sweet. But it have a green or fresh accord , a natural vanilla? I don't know. So I smell again after a shower and there it is , a Malibu drink with some kind of banana ...all vibes of a piña colada in a tropical island in summertime holidays. Wow ... and all this without loose the elegance from Lancome house essential signature.

Ninaleen

Never mind the notes listed. It smells like warm summer skin and coconut. I think it’s a perfect summer scent. Longevity is only so-so but it does stay on as a sultry skin scent for a bit. Not a signature scent or anything like that, but beautiful for the season.

Happyme2009

I received a 3 ml mini as a gift with purchase for buying another fragrance from Lancome, the Jasmine Marzipane. I opened the adorable tiny bottle and loved it on the spot. I don't know what Olympea smells like, I only own Olympea Intense and the Rose version, and this doesn't smell like either one of those.
Actually, it doesn't smell much like any version of La View Esl Belle, and I have several versions. It is a perfume of on its own.
This is totally a sun tan type of scent on my skin. Warm, heavy vanilla, mixed with fresh coconut, coconut cream, and coconut oil too. Ylang Ylang is also present and well blended, mixed with some orange blossom. It smells quite "thick". I don't find this synthetic or annoying at all, I actually love it so much I think I need a FB.
The drydown is perfumey, almost like a soft chypre . I don't know if it's the iris mixed with a very mild patchouli that does that, but I like it.
Silage and lasting power are both average to good. This is everything I hoped Eclat would be, but it wasn't, there was something in Eclat that really bothered me and I didn't like it, but this is just lovely.
Recommended only if you enjoy beachy coconut scents.

Poison Bottle

I love the La Vie Est Belle line. Love the Original, L'Eclat, Intensement & my favorite, L'Absolu. They are all warm, inviting, rich, delicious with great lasting power....This Soleil Crystal however was a complete disappointment. The coconut is so synthetic. This smelled like cheap sunscreen. I could not wait to scrub it off of my arm. Why would anyone spend this kind of money on a sunscreen scent?

maraciobanu

This may just be my favourite fragrance... ever? I recieved a sample of it and I cannot begin to explain how much I adore it. It does have a little of the LVEB DNA in the composition, but it's just an idea of gourmand intense sweetness taken from it. The overall "flavour" and smell are totally different in my opinion. It starts of as a slightly tangy, creamy citrus coconut with a little bit of a flowery aroma. As it settles into the skin it becomes more vanilla creamy patchouli goodness that I oh so adore. Patchouli and vanilla are my favourite notes ever. This beauty in a bottle lasts such a long time. I spritz it twice and I smell it for several hours around me. It reminds me a lot of Olympéa (which also happens to be one of my most worn perfumes), with the jasmine-vanilla combination. And it also sort of remind me of Angel, probs because of the patchouli dry down. It's such a beautiful perfume, I cannot wait to get my hands on a full bottle!

KHunton

Soleil Cristal makes me think of everything I love from Paco Rabanne Olympea except the salt, which I'm really not fond of has been replaced by yummy coconut.
I like this a lot more than the original & a lot more than Olympea.
*update* I love this so much I've got myself a backup bottle 😍

This is my favourite scent of 2021 so far!

I adore Lancome perfumes, it’s very rare that they ever miss the brief when it comes to creating a flanker or a new perfume entirely.

This smells incredible. The essence stays true to the original scent but with added coconut and gourmand vanilla. Although coconut is associated with summer and the beach, I do believe that this could be worn just as well during the colder months.

Longevity and sillage is great, naturally it isn’t as strong as it’s original creation, but still great nevertheless.

Scent: 9/10
Longevity: 7/10
Sillage: 8/10

dglightblue

Coconut water ... bug spray... something which eternity intense has in it...

Gone more creamy now and lost the actual coconut water taste/smell which i dislike.

Nothing like original lveb.
Great scent now, perfect if tou dont want a fruity, and need a discrete scent. Try first though i hated the opening.

Zombie Apocalypse

I tested this at the Lancome counter and i liked it. Its smooth yet fruity and i can defs feel a coconutty🥥 pina colada vibe happening! Vanautu anyone???

MaxieF

This smells like a soap from lush. Doesn't resemble the original at all in my personal opinion. Also..I dont really get any coconut at all. Just a sort of fresh soapy scent that leans sweet and powdery.

Edit: I ended up decluttering this because there was something stale about it. It kind of reminded me of the bottom of a purse. I didn't love the Citrus edge it has.

Liene

The first hours are sickening vanilla, not even that sweet though, and loads of soapy and woody coconut. The rich dose of pink pepper makes all of it even more persistent and annoying. Somewhere in the mix there are rich and fruity ylang-ylang, some bit of patchouli as well. Some typical La Vie Est Belle DNA ghostly appears and disappears with its bright iris and orange flower, but in general it is oppressed by vanilla and coconut.
In some three hours it turns more bearable with sweet, dusty coconut and tasty, clean orange blossom dominance. This drydown scent lasts and stays linear.

I don’t like it, and this one really disturbs me when it's worn by others. I was escaping sales assistant in the department store even wearing my mask, when she sprayed good five pumps of it, and I consider holding my breath in my daily commute, when crossing the ways in the park with a lady who sometimes wears this.
La Vie Est Belle are performance monsters – sillage and longevity wise. I guess this is too much and too opulent in the warmer weather. I would limit it to daytime transitional seasons.

olfactorydarling

I smelled this at the department store today and was blown away. On my skin i do not find it overly sweet, but I do definitely smell creamy, fresh, woodiness, in the best way. I smell some coconut, but again, on my skin its more of a dry, non-sweet coconut. Really lovely. I cant wait to buy a full bottle. Im not a big fan of the OG for reference.
