Normally there are no tester of this displayed but today I got lucky. Different from the OG, it is less sweet, more citrusy with a woody base that I cannot quite tell what it is. It is joyful but not overly done in the direction of sweetness. May get one when there is good discount.

Rosiewebber

This bears no resemblance to the og LVEB, which for me is a great thing. It dues however smell just like citrus gummy sweets, very strong and sweet. I don’t dislike it, nor do I love it. It doesn’t smell how I expected from the notes listed, I get no iris, no patchouli, not a great deal of florals at all really.

Alienmiso

I found a full bottle of this for sale second hand and had to have it as a nuclear fragrance lover. She's interesting because she's so uninteresting, if that makes sense. I have & love several white floral bombs. This one smells like that one beautiful yoga mom chilling in the sun on a warm spring day. There's something comforting and magnetic about how feminine it is. Insane sillage--just a cloud of orange blossom and iris, with a touch of orange creamsicle.

It doesn't necessarily match my personal aura but it is what I need sometimes to feel "that girl" confidence.

MomBomb

Large bottle up for trade. Mostly full. Please message me.

Maria19

Apparently this is hard to get, but there was one bottle in the shop and I bought it. The edt version is fresher, but I also like this a lot. Feminine and intense scent. The DNA of the OG is in the background, but this is different enough to the original on my skin. The sandalwood and patchouli probably work so that the scent does not become too sweet. Good buy, I didn't pay full price.

LEM922

Now THIS is how you do an iris note! Starts off (for me) with a blast of powdery iris. I can also smell jasmine and vanilla, à la good fortune minus the nasty fennel note. This is a gorgeous, unassuming white floral. Doesn’t smell like the OG LVEB whatsoever to my nose. I can’t even really detect the patchouli in this. I like it! I’m glad i got it. After being disappointed in good fortune and getting rid of it, this kind of fills that void without the not-so-desirable effect I was getting from my skin chemistry. This isn’t quite a love for me, but a really strong like. Very classy and soft.

UlianaM

This smells cheap. And old. Maybe because of iris.
And it also smells bitter. I don't know what exactly it is.
The sent is more floral than fruit and it later develops into vanilla base.
I think it was supposed to be Chypre.
But definitely not the best of a type. Trivial, boring and sick. As the air or fog can be. Hard get through.

Ethelmomma

My absolute favourite ❤️❤️

calo_calico

I love the original and after hearing so many rave reviews l’eclat was better, I blind bought it, and I can say I don’t like it. Nothing remotely like the original.

In and of itself it’s not a bad smell, but not for perfume, and one I can visit for only a moment. I do not want to smell like this or have my bathroom smell like this, and it does for days after I spray it 😫

I cannot understand why this scent is so popular.

My impressions: HEAVY, incense-y, kind of like musty cinnamon sticks, like an ancient church, or château attic, if there is such a thing, whose floorboards are soaked with the scent of years of storing antique women’s clothing in perfumed sachets, or perhaps an old heiress with enormous rings on every finger.

Yes, ENORMOUS is a good word for this perfume. Not for me.

It’s just so not me.

Pentagon

La Vie Est Belle Eclat is a flanker that smells nothing like the original. The mandarin orange top note and orange blossom middle note are very dominant. Combine that with the vanilla and sandalwood, and you get a very beautiful but heavy orange blossom scent. The only thing that the Eclat and original have in common is how strong they are. Indeed Eclat is strong...you only need 1 spray (2 at the most). If you like the strength of Delina Exclusif but want the orange blossom version of that, Eclat is the fragrance for you. I could see this being a great daytime fragrance in the colder months. However, if you find Delina Exclusif beautiful but overpowering, you may want to pass on this OR spray it in the air and walk through it.

ArtOfScent

This is what Valentino Donna Born in Roma thinks it is. Both are so similar TMN that immediately I got it my brain made that link. Unfortunately both drydown ‘soapy’ on me but this is tolerable. I’m in a country where there’s no access to instore testing so all my purchases are blind buys, now I have the same fragrance in two different bottles.

Long story short, if you have Valentino Donna Born in Roma, don’t bother with this.

PerfuMEOW

The 49 of you who think this smells like Armani Code are on crack. LOL!

julianne2508

If anyone would like to buy a bottle at a good price 100 ml, contact me. It is not packaged I did open it, but never used it. I have another identical bottle so I don’t need 2

AnlisaC

Like the reviewer below thankfully it doesn’t smell like the OG! I like the OG but everyone wears it and it can be cloying to smell so many with the same thing.

this is different with not so much of the LVEB dna in it! It’s quite lighter and bright than the original and sweeter without the heavy patch note. I smell a lot of orange blossom and jasmine. Smells fresh and floral on me and longevity is excellent. Sillage is excellent also! Spring and summer day time perfume. A feminine scent, but of course anyone can wear it! Recommended 8/10 only because there is so much out there like this!

perfumesniffer

This doesn’t smell like original LVEB and for that I’m grateful. This is a prominently orange blossom-sweet mandarin scent which is up my alley. I have all the ‘similars’ and am an orange blossom fanatic. My similars are better: Nobile 1942 Perdizione, JPG Classique Essence, Kilian Love DBS, and so on. This reminds me of a less sexy and muted Armani Code. It’s a light, sweet, fleeting orange blossom with a strong candied mandarin note. The bottle is pretty and I don’t dislike it. I guess I’ll wear it, but I’m not moved particularly by its performance (low sillage little longevity). Seems like low quality juice housed in an attractive bottle. But it smells overall good and there’s nothing to dislike about the scent.

Andy224

My favorite LVEB flanker. Even better than the classic. I love being able to notice the Iris alongside the orange scent. Very nice and powdery and lasts forever!

Princessy

Sweeter and orange blossom version of the OG La Vie est Belle, I love both versions.
The performance is not enough for an for me, as it only stays for 2-3hours on my skin...

cocogirl

Ok it is a nice scent but that’s all, I was disappointed with sillage . I get 0 compliments so far and that’s annoying me because I’m used to get compliments on my perfume.

I also prefer this version to the original LVEB. Much less boring, much less patchouli, it is fresh, delicate, and I perceive a little bitterness at the beginning (I think it comes from the orange blossom mixed with the iris and the bergamot) which is not unpleasant, on the contrary!

I hesitated so much to buy it, and when I wanted to get it, it was already too popular, and this held me back since I don't like to smell like everyone else. But I think I'll buy it one day when it won't be worn as much!

This perfume reminds me a lot of the original Armani Code, only the latter is sweeter and honeyed (which I actually prefer). It also has similar notes with Pure Poison.

I'd personally give it an 8/10.

qofb

I much prefer this version to the original. It's just got a lovely musky feel to it in the drydown. In this one the orange blossom and jasmine really stand out and it doesn't have the heavy patchouli of the original. It's not as headachy and is smoother. Not as long lasting or as strong as the original though but actually that's probably a good thing. This still lasts ages and projects well. I enjoyed my 50ml bottle, it was fab for work and I finished it quickly because it's an easy, no brainer good one.

SophiaViolette

She’s confident, very feminine and so sweet! Her sexiness is not vulgar, it’s candid and classy.

This was my first from Lancôme, I finished this bottle years ago and miss having something like this on my shelve, I’m ready to try the other releases from the line, probably something fresher.

Two sprays suffice to notice that “La Vie Est Belle”…

I'll be completely honest, I bought this a couple of months ago because of the overwhelming amount of reviews claiming it's a "compliment magnet" from men. I felt my collection was in need of something feminine and simple. Orange blossom forward. Super easy reach and one of my most used perfumes. Beautiful bottle, too

SaltyVanilla

This perfume is not one I reach for everyday. It is strong, sweet, and floral. But when I am in the mood for it, it really hits the spot. The opening has a tangy fresh burst of citrus that develops into an orange blossom mix with a hint of powdery iris, but not so powdery we are going to powder town, it just adds a touch of elegance. As the fragrance dries down the vanilla really comes out blending with the orange blossom until you are left with the impression of a sweet orange blossomy vanilla that lasts for hours. As others said that citrusy mandarin and orange blossom cuts the sweetness in this fragrance, keeping it from tipping over to the cloying realm while staying quite sweet. This perfume lasts all day with just a spray or two and I can smell it on my clothes the day after. I can’t believe Lancôme discontinued this.

Lyric82

This, in my opinion, is better than the original. It’s still sweet, but it also has a citrusy freshness that cuts the overly sweet quality that the original has. I also like the woody notes that come through. I really love this one and I’m so sad that it’s discontinued.

Cresselia

This is my top complimented perfume. I don’t wear it often, I kinda have to be in a certain mood to want to wear it.

Perpetual Collector

Out of nowhere, I got the urge to wear one of those basic, mall perfumes, and of course, the first such fume that crossed my mind was La Vie est Belle. However, I did not want the OG, because I am a Leo and I like things to be weird, complicated and/or special, so I went for L'Eclat flanker.
So far I like it way better than original and gazillion times more than I loved Absolu version which I had and sold because it choked the life out of me. This is a tad less sweet, less basic (if that is even possible with LVEB) and much more bearable. It will fulfill the temporary need and it is nice enough to wear around the house. Not sure if I want to wear it outside, but it seems I am changing at a rapid pace, so I might surprise myself!
All in all, nice one but nothing special! The bottle is to die for!

ramanshweta

Absolutely love the fragrance. After such a long time i found a fragrance which has amazing silage & longevity . For me its a night fragrance as I feel its too overpowering for daytime or office wear !

Heatherlaurenw

I don't enjoy the original La Vie Est Belle at all, but this one is enjoyable enough. I was gifted it, but otherwise I'd never purchase this.

The citrus hit is very juicy and sweet, and the florals are well blended. I smell almost nothing beyond that though, the claimed basenotes are simply not there even upon drydown. Honestly not special enough to justify the price, but it's a very basic perfume that is easy to gift and works well in a collection for layering.

Francilicious

chicagogirl

If you like this you'll love Alien Goddess Intense. Very similar vibe of sugared white flower petals with vanilla.

RobynCrabtree

My best blind buy to date! It reminds me of Donna Born in Roma - just less aggressive/sexy, more sweet & girly. A bouquet of flowers and sweet citrus, but warm and comforting at the same time. 9/10 for me!

Updating because I was too optimistic with first impressions: this is indeed gorgeous upon opening with a well-balanced citrus/floral ratio. I also love the jasmine & orange blossom that follow slightly afterwards; however, the base notes are practically a skin scent by the time they appear and are gone completely within 1-2 hours of wear on me. I still enjoy the scent, but longevity is not there at all. I will wear this scent if I need to run a quick errand or someone is stopping by my house for a limited time, but it's definitely not an all day scent. I'm too lazy, forgetful, and cheap to reapply perfume throughout the work day or weekends spent out and about. Hopefully performance lasts longer in the summer time!

Kcbear28

Best flanker in my opinion. I love the OG and I love this one just as much. This feels like a more well rounded version of the original and it performs beautifully! Needless to say, I have stockpiled this beauty lol

fmangion

WOW. Every time I wear this I get complimented and asked what I am wearing. Prefer this to the OG and had gotten rid of the OG once I got my hands on this one. Longevity is quite beast mode on me, the OG didn't last as long. I cannot believe it has been discontinued. Ordered another huge bottle. I don't know what I am going to do once it's completely gone. Get it whilst you can! 10/10

Roos88dutch

Is this discontinued? I can’t find it anymore ? I loved it so much it was such a easy reach for me . For every season and occasion .edit : I ask the lancome webshop if it is discontinued and it is unanfortenely

AuthenticAF

I absolutely love this. It is classy, elegant, and beautiful. I dont get anosmic to this, no matter how long i wear it or how frequent. It is sweet but also bright; interesting and a bit different. I find it uplifting. Very feminine. Very worth the price.
Update: i barely wear this bc i heard it is discontinued and it is one of my favorites. I am contemplating getting another bottle bc i really dont want to be without it. It is that unique and special to me😢

mimircks

While trying to AVOID the LVEB train, my nose fell into a bottle of the L'ÉCLAT version & justlikeTHAT....we have a new member of my trying-to-stop-increasing collection. Its GOOORGEOUS! WHO KNEW?!! Ugh, but those bottles are fabulous, arent they?

osakinuit

One of the best fragrances i’ve had and smelled and def the one that got me the most compliments (mostly by men). Funny thing is i got this perfume by mistake while trying to order Soleil Cristal, the surprise when i got it and found out i bought the wrong perfume… but then i literally fell in love with it over time and now prefer this one over Soleil Cristal :) People always told me they could smell me in the whole room whenever i’d show up and it would always leave a long tail of sweetness behind me while walking. Signature scent for sure. Gonna keep coming back to it.

milica8888

This is the only la vie est belle that i like. and i really likeee it :) so sweet <3

maimaibaby

It reminds me of So Scandal. Period !

Yessamin

Make life a daydream. Nestle yourself in fresh orange blossom, deep bergamot and complex florals.

J_fr

nice!! freshly floral, still sweet but a lot less heavy than the original. Not the biggest fan of the vanilla in this, but it’s not too overbearing, so it’s still okay. Couldn’t stop smelling my wrist when i first got it, it’s a beautiful and addictive fragrance.

mmagic_conch

I got two compliments by men in one day wearing this. One was 6 hours after applying. He even asked me to type the name into his phone so he could remember it. Very nice :) probably will be my new signature. Smells expensive and I feel it’s appropriate for any season.

(I was wearing 3 sprays, one in front, one on back of neck, and one on wrist.)

liebecherie

I adore the beginning citrusy scent. Then, it smells floral and a little sour on me. The dry down is a vanilla, slightly woody, patchouli smell. It’s very strong.

A luxurious liquid, for every season, hour and occasion! In the opening it smells bubblegumy and generic. In the process though, it smells like orange blossom petals, dipped in rich vanilla on a musky base. As time goes by, it turns even more powdery. Very sweet and syrupy, but at the same time juicy and dry, it has it all! You may feel overwhelmed if you overspray. Don’t you worry, with just one spritz it provides hours and hours of projection and longevity.

Ssali

It is my signature perfume...i immensely in love with this perfume...i highly recommend those who love orange blossom go for it and its power is superb....

hamilton26

I really wanted to like this fragrance, but unfortunately it is not at all what I had expected. The opening notes are artificial, generic white flower. I would say it's a grandmother type scent, but with a screechy sourness to it. The longevity was incredibly poor, becoming a skin scent in about an hour and a half. Fortunately, the saving grace is that the dry down is pleasant. It left a nice skin scent which feels cozy.

I tried this in Ulta and had high hopes. Perhaps the travel sized I received from FragranceNet was faulty because this has been a disappointment. I'm going to try it next time in store to see if that is the case.

Perfumepusher

This is for the ones that found LVEB to be cloying or whatever annoyed them. Initial blast smells like LVEB but a few minutes later it transforms into something very nice, like an orange blossom filled with nectar. It way more versatile than LVEB, but still packs a lot of performance. Its also less sweet and more fresh - not fresh like in citrus freshies, but more like sparkling fresh. I'd blind bought it cause I saw it on 50% off, and I'm so glad I did. The bottle is stunning as well.

mariakok

Totally agree with Rybee. A very very toned down version of the original, with lots of orange blossom and citrusy notes. I sprayed the tester and even that disappeared from my skin in a few minutes. I grew tired of the sickeningly sweet original version but this is just the same original just too toned down With an artificial dry down

Freckleface

All i can smell is the scent of tom Ford orchid soleil when i spray this one on me. I hope its Just my "covidnose" and that it Will smell different to me after the covid is gone🙈

sarage

When the original La Vie est Belle became too sweet and strong for my nose and the environment where I live and work, I found the beauty of L'Eclat. It has the same DNA but instead of being very sweet, it's more floral and fresh. Orange blossom makes this scent perfect. Also the bottle design is perfect. I love how light makes the pattern on the bottle sparkle. One of the most beautiful perfume bottles I know.
I don't wear this beauty at work, it's my free time perfume, especially when there is a special occasion. Two sprays lasts the whole day on my skin. The scent has a happy element in it.

Roos88dutch

Really love this ! Sweet but not to sweet , stil fresh . Feminine everyday perfume . Not to mature . I think it fits everybody .

Joshhiggins32

I really like this and I wasn’t expecting much. I don’t mind the OG, it’s just kind of common, so coming into this one I was just expecting something similar but I was wrong. This is much better as far as the scent profile goes. It’s not all over the place and the notes makes sense together. This is a sweet orange blossom scent. Nothing revolutionary but it’s really nice. Performance is outstanding which I’ve come to find that most Lancôme scents are that way. I’d say this is my favorite La Vie Est belle that I’ve smelled this far(I haven’t tried intensement, absolu, or parfum). I don’t mind the new soliel crystal either but I find it to be to dependent on the coconut and I’m not really that into coconut to wear it constantly but it’s also a nice scent. This would not be a blind buy I’d recommend because of the strength and overall scent. This would be pretty loud for most but I love all types of scents so this is very nice to me. Unexpected but pleasantly and I’ll take it.

Pixiigirl

I expected to hate this because I’m not a fan of the original EDP but this one is so much nicer. It’s like the original if the original wasn’t sickeningly sweet. The vanilla in here smells different to me- it’s warmer, and the mandarin and bergamot makes it smell lighter than the original. Also I prefer the extra white floral note over the iris note from the original. Basically it’s like the original but way less sweet and more floral. If you don’t like La Vie Est Belle I think you should try this version out.

dq27

Love the smell on my clothes, but smells way too sweet on my skin. I am based in Switzerland and looking to sell. I have the 50ml bottle and sprayed it about 5-6 times. Message me if interested!

amy33

This is orange blossom and vanilla all the way, which I kind of like. I wear it mainly during spring and find it to be uplifting and joyful! I can't imagine it being a signature perfume, or being worn all the time, but it is a good occasional, floral fragrance. I also do prefer it to the EDP which is a bit clogging for my taste.

mytrueessense

I own and have used Chanel Coco Mademoiselle EDP for almost a decade. I just recently purchased La Vie Est Belle L’Eclat EDP.

LVEBL’E smells like a distant younger cousin of CM. Both fragrances open nearly identically to the point of thinking they are the same.

Both have Mandarin, Bergamot, Orange Blossom and variations of White Flowers and Jasmine in their top and mid notes. The main difference being, not withstanding secrets of the amounts of each of the former notes in their formulas, that LVEBL’E features Iris and CM Turkish Rose as mid notes. This is where the departure begins.

Base note similarities are Vanilla and Patchouli.

I am very sensitive to Patchouli and for me this rises very quickly to the top in CM and persists thru out. Also the Vetiver is prominent in CM and dry down is almost a men’s cologne scent. Many times I have been offended by CM depending on exactly what variations in climate, place and body chemistry I am unsure. Other times she ends in a green note similar to Chanel No 19 which used to be my signature scent and I forgive her. Either way this perfume is strong and long lasting well into the next day until bathing. Will last even longer clothing, bedding. I always take care to apply sparingly.

LVEBL’E never gets dark or dirty and I cannot detect Patchouli anywhere so the amount must be negligible. Vanilla is very prominent and Sandalwood and Iris give a soft comforting ending. This fragrance is pure sweetness and light. I feel instantly happy when I apply. I feel it could be a year round scent because it has been so very unseasonably warm during the daytime with cold nights here in Colorado since September. Now almost December and forecast is 60-70’s daytime temps for the next 10 days. Her white flowers and fresh citrus notes are refreshing and sweetened by the Vanilla. This combo is nice during the warmer days and also comforting in the chill of the evening.

I would rate this fragrance as among my new favorites 9/10 for everyday wear which for me at this time is mostly Stay at Home wear😔

DanaLorayne

This is such a pretty scent. The Orange blossom is prominent followed by the iris, vanilla and patchouli. But not the earthy patchouli, this version makes it sweet.

I love this most during the cooler months as the summer heat can enhance the sweetness, covering up the other notes and making it very linear.

As far as the scent’s personality it is very warm and welcoming. Wraps you up with its sweet sillage and makes a nice impression. It’s definitely a compliment getter but can be offensive if used too much. By far not the most complex of scents but far from generic. She’s a keeper. I will always have bottle in my collection.

LawmaLlama

I was hoping this lighter version of the original LVEB would do it for me, but I now know that I dislike orange blossom alot. This fragrance is extra heavy on the orange blossom. It smells like it is being poured down my throat, almost like baby powder. Also, this was supposed to be less heavy on the dirty patchouli, but it is still there, lingering behind the orange blossom. So if you dislike patchouli like I do, don't bother.

unicajiha_01

I was expecting more but felt disappointed. It smells boring not as lively as I imagined. I was searching for floral creamy smell but I couldn't find one. If anyone could recommend me a varesia white perfume smell a
like that lasts long pls tell me or a tuberose fragnance. Thanks

Update:

I used it now after I took a shower and I would like to rephrase my review, this is not a boring scent but a sweet and lady like smell. Smellin it directly after speaying on my arms is extremely different compared if you're using it on your body. The scent is spreading into a sweet floral scent that was suprisingly I liked.

MaxieF

I always felt like certain fragrances I've tested were a bit grapey and I suspected that that was the orange blossom because they all had that same note in common. Apon testing this today, it was the grapey-est scent I've ever smelled which makes sense cause everyone describes this as an orange blossom bomb. I did like it but it really was so so strong and I feel like grape just isn't the fruit that I would choose of all the fruits to smell like. It's nice but it's like the grape scented markers from childhood. I really don't get anything but the color purple.

EDIT:
Zara has a perfume that smells identical to this. It's in the tall skinny bottle collection.

adelaidesandrina

Stunning, stunning, stunning! Reminds me a lot of my way and love don’t be shy. Sugary sweet, floral perfume. Like her sister, she’s also a powerhouse performer!

GoodVibrations

To appreciate this for what it brings to the table, one must know the value of what it doesn’t bring to the table. This is about classic flowers that are not to be eaten. This is the squish of plush iris, the willingness of indiscreet orange blossom, and the sensuality of expressed jasmine without the indolic notes of cavities or the aggressive notes of dirty pants. This smells sensual, but friendly and clean. This smells timeless, but not ancient or stale. This smells approachable, but rather wise. The inedible gourmand notes are classy and understated… not like the mouthwatering tingle of the original La Vie Est Belle, but more like the cerebral comfort of Midnight in Paris by Van Cleef and Arpels. Just a moderate mist of this mixture offers the olfactory equivalent of touching flower petals. This feels like a nostalgic French creation in a modern presentation. It creates a delicate, sophisticated aura that reads as clean and slightly niche.

gigijolie

This isn't much of a white floral to me, although the white floral element is there. Sephora's Fragrance Description is more accurate because it emphasizes the sweetness of this fragrance. "This feminine perfume entwines iris and patchouli with the sweetness of praline, spun sugar, and vanilla".

kporter

This is an orange blossom bomb. Very feminine and sweet. The projection and sillage is 10/10. I never use more than one spray otherwise I find it can be overwhelming.

twiztidladii

Simply beautiful. This would be, in my eyes, a very safe blind buy especially if you are into florals.

sarahtheperfumelover

Update: I really enjoy wearing this. I really pick up the orange blossom and bergamot. I really like L’Éclat and the original but for different moods.
UPDATE: I wore this a lot in late summer/early fall and it's a complement getter. There's just something about these La Vie Est Belle scents that really grab people, haha. When I first tried this it smelled like a sweet white floral with the DNA of the OG quite apparent. Right now, this smells like the love child of the original La Vie Est Belle, Elie Saab Le Parfum, and Armani Code Cashmere. I’ll update after a few more days of wear.

coraline28

I really like this fragrance. I think it is very feminin and perfect for day and night. In my opinion it is quite fresh compared to the original. It is long lasting and a very classy, elegant perfume. I will definitely buy it again. :)

Aqua<3

fresh floral scent. Opening is very lovely and lefts the mood up to start the day. on my skin after 2 hours the fragrance just fades away. Must say when i just spray on my skin i loved it but sad not working well on me.

Everything in this fragrance is so lovely. The combination of the notes are so perfect, this is as easy fave. Projection and sillage, performane and the scent is excellent. I don't think anyone can dislike this scent. It's sweet but there is a balance of freshness from the citrus and has that comforting feel from the powderpreventing it from being cloying. I don't agree that this has the same vibe as Alien because that gives me a headache but this one, this is addicting and I can smell my skin all day with this on.

nassiesamou

I’m not the biggest fan of this. The performance is very good as expected (Lancôme perfumes always have good performance), and I got a decent amount of compliments on it, but I’m personally not that into the smell. It’s a very very warm floral with a strong spice that is somewhat sweet like cinnamon!! Smells like cinnamon. Not what cinnamon tastes like, but the literal smell of cinnamon in the spice jar. If you’re into that then get this, if not, keep looking lol.

Lizabs68

Strong in a nice way, with a hint of freshness and powdery which I like in a perfume.

GGLiCious

This is just a smooth yet thick smelling version of Olympea Aqua Legere EDP by Paco Rabanne. It's like both are extremely similar. Nothing sexy about it, at all.. Fun? Yes! Allurring? Yes! Versatile? Yes! Is it worth to own both? Depends on your taste. If you like it rough textured kinda smelling go get Olympea Aqua Legere. If you like smooth but thick with the same kinda scent just get LVEB L'Eclat EDP. Both smells the same, performed the same (strong projection & long lasting) but L'Eclat sticks a lot more longer on me.. like 12+ or even more hours long.... while Aqua Legere still lasts; 10+ to 12 hours.

RainbowGirl

I like this fragrance.

I love the beautiful orange vanilla scent aura it creates around me, but nose to skin, the iris in this gives it a little bit of a makeup scent, which keeps me from loving this fragrance.

I really thought that makeup scent came from violets... but nose to skin, this smells like makeup to me, so maybe I am wrong about that?

I love the iris in Chanel Paris Venise, and in Givenchy Irrésistible EDP, so I am unsure why THIS iris smells different to my nose. However, I still really like this fragrance.

Once it settles, that makeup smell fades a little, and I am left with a fresh and sweet, orange blossom vanilla fragrance, with great projection.

dglightblue

Liquorice white floral for me, airy.
Familiar but i cant put my finger on it.
Now im getting a bit of the toasty warmth along with florals

silverma

Very sweet, elegant, white floral vanilla fragrance!

Just want to come up here and add another review for this perfume.
For me, this perfume is ALWAYS changing. Some days I don’t really like it. It can be too cloying and too heavy on the orange blossom. BUT, some days, IT IS ABSOLUTELY DIVINE. Light, airy, sweet, and floral. If you have this perfume and don’t like it, or have found you no longer like it, HOLD ON TO IT. I’ve thought about giving this perfume up so many times, and today I’m wearing it and am so glad I didn’t give it up. I’m even thinking this is a staple in my collection. It’s so beautiful. Today, it’s a cool yet sunny day out here in Tennessee. I’m wearing a flowy white top with light blue denim and white sandals. I’ll be doing some business today as I have 2 new clients! This perfume is perfect for today.

Aishxaaax

Blind bought this because the scent profile is usually what I like, however, this was a fail for me. Not sure if it is the orange blossom or the iris but this fragrance is cloying, just far too strong. It gets better after about an hour or two but I don't think it is worth keeping just to wait until then. Selling a 30ml bottle, sprayed only a few times to test. UK only, message me if interested!

Amascent

Orange and sandalwood is prominent. It's very beautiful, easy, wearable. Sweet, a touch spicy. The orange smells delicious warm and sweet. Like if you're strolling through orange groves.

I love this! I find it less gourmand, less sweet, and more floral than the original. I love them both. I think I prefer the original slightly because it is sexier and more gourmand. Boyfriend likes the original on me as well. However, this is very good, and possibly more refined. I enjoy wearing them both.

Eva.s 123

It's brighter, lighter and fresher version of the original. In addition, it's more wearable and versatile. I like LVEB, but I have to be in the right mood to wear it. Eclat is far more easy going.
That one and en rose are my preferred flankers from LVEB line.

mochachoco99

This is so beautiful! Upon first spray, this is juicy, fresh, and citrusy. After a little while, it develops a kind of makeup/lipstick scent, which I'm guessing is from the iris. This part I'm not a fan of. However, this fades quickly into a pleasant white floral scent and the vanilla really kicks in! It becomes so soft, sweet, and sugary but not at all in a way that is cloying or juvenile...simply pretty and sophisticated. I don't detect much patchouli at all. This is hard to dislike. It's most suitable for spring but really I think it would work all year round. It's very versatile; it is appropriate for literally any occasion and all ages. This is the perfect floral for someone who doesn't like florals. Performance is not through the roof, but not bad at all. Plus the bottle is gorgeous. One of my best blind buys. Wow I really love this perfume, thank you to the masters Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion for creating this beauty!

suki0101

Gorgeous, bright, sweet and very feminine. Soo sexy.. For days to glam up. Juicy, „grapey" orange blossom that is sweet like honey and softened by vanilla. It smells divine! At the same time I find it very versatile. Great for spring, summer nights and cold weather. It also has great performance. This is by far my favorite Lancome. I am in love!

Im just posting a review cuz I love it and cant figure out which perfume exactly it reminds me more of. I honestly keep reading on here to see what others say, so dont take my review too seriously, im still investigating LOL. I smell something nutty in this, just like I smell in Alien Mugler and even more in the beloved Essence Absolue. The opening is very unique, light floral but sweet enough to keep you smelling ur arm like a weirdo.

Bergamot (my fav note) with freesia (one of my fav flowers) and mandarin, come on, amazing. Its the bergamot with the mandarin and Sandalwood giving it its nutty, almost almond-like sweetness? I dont know! Its better than Alien Mugler, slightly different imo, Alien is more serious in a way? I dont know, im in love right now. The drydown (it lasted from 5pm to its 1am now and Im still smelling it) is like Black Opium EDT had a baby with Poison Girl EDP. I might be wrong, but Intoxicating combo. I rushed to my vanity from Sephora to spray Poison Girl EDP and BO EDT and I believe the drydown of Poison Girl EDP and the La Rive Fleur De Femme has that same nutty sweet vibe, but LVEB L'Eclat is not as heavy.

Update: So I bought it from Lancome's site. Lasting power is excellent. La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat is a perfume for a princess. It deserved its own new name but oh well. I dont see the original in it at all (thank god). Its exceptional, not the most unique scent as it combines the elements I love and find in other MUCH heavier perfumes in this category, but no cloying factor here. So I can indulge in it, summer or winter and wear it on a date. I still feel like it has its own identity. Its a lil bit of everything but better. It's romantic, feminine, flirty yet sensual, exactly what I was looking for that I didnt find in Poison Girl EDT or in the EDP and in Black Opium EDT. Judging by the perfumes Ive known and owned (and there are folks who have experienced more perfumes than me so I may be limited) it is indeed like a much lighter, fresher Poison Girl edp. I dont wanna have to deal with heavy notes everytime I need a sweet nutty floral perfume! Like I said theres a BO EDT vibe here, very discreet, but that one is a tomboy perfume imo (which I am but I wouldnt wear BO EDT on a date). It really has the fruity white floral game of Black Opium EDT (jasmine, orange blossom, mandarin) but the freesia takes it up a level. The white flowers are not muted, thats why it stays fresh in all its "powderiness", best of both worlds. The vanilla iris combo must be behind that light powdery sweetness. The nuttiness I was talking about is what I find addicting also in perfumes like Forbidden Police, no almond here tho. The first one can be too much to wear around others even tho its a fav of mine. Babe Power is another in this category that I loved but it leans sweet/masculine on me and too distracting. I think I found my soulmate here.

ahmosenefertari

I'm in love with this version of LVEB. In comparison with the original, it is much more floral, with a pinch of saltiness and citrus that opens it up. It has a sweetness behind all of this, but not as much as the original. I feel it is more adequate to spring or even summer, but carefully as it has a strong sillage.

It feels brighter, fresher. The orange blossom and orange notes are the main stars. It feels a little less talcy. I'm glad I don't feel much of the patchouli. It is an elegant fragrance. I imagine a woman having a lunch on the outside, with light clothes.

JackieM

I'm quite surprised at the lack of comparisons to the much debated and controversial Kilian Love, as that's what LVEB Eclat made me think of. Though the newer Love (white bottle) might be gentler than the vintage black bottle, drawing closer comparisons, I think the DNA of all is the same regardless of versions. I struggle to get Alien from this one (I'm not an Alien fan, if that makes a difference), because LVEBE is quite a bit more "candy" or bubblegum, with a sweet and rich base that Alien doesn't have. I have a JPG edt version from 1993 (even before they put the "Classique" name on it), and that might be a little closer. But still Love is the more immediate comparison to me. There's certainly the original LVEB in there, but the orange sunniness and floral burst makes it younger and more fun, perhaps more appropriate for spring and summer. I do love both though.

Lasting power is a downgrade from the original LVEB, but with that lotion layered underneath this one, I could see it as a really pretty concoction for days you want to smell cozy and pretty, but a little lighter.

Long story short, if you think Kilian Love is overbearing and childish in the super sweet candy, and are looking for a more wearable, inconspicous version, this is it!

Chr_23

L'eclat was made for orangey note lovers. I happen to like every note listed in here (orange blossom is one of my favorites) so I was expecting blind buy success. I have never tested the original and I don't know people that wear it. Sadly, to me, this smells exactly like mandarin orange soda in the opening and from the bottle which I'm not sure I'm into. I like the dry down much more, I get white florals, sweet vanilla and some background patchouli, but the orangey notes are still there on my clothes the next day. I however already got many compliments the first day I wore it from people who have been smelling my other fragrances, so maybe I'm too unfamiliar with the scent and I need to spend more time testing it.

mirnam

Orange blossom madness! Very elegant and refreshing at initial spray then becomes a lot sweeter in the dry down. I don't find it extremely long lasting which is a shame. I however still wear it and love it.

SmellsGood123

This is DEF a dupe for JPG Classique. This is nice but I've smelled it SOOOOOOO many times before. I was hoping for something effervescent and sparling, as implied by the name L'Eclat but all I could smell was cloyingly sweet and salty... Sorry not impressed...

dglightblue

eclat, edp, summer test skin.
this pulls white floral, vanilla, sweet, a teeny bit boozy. its a big rounded sweet white floral combo for me, the citrus isnt coming out noticeably and nor is it lending its sometimes dryness - which for me is fine.

this has a big sillage, sweet, rounded, airy, creamy vanillic white floral. cool

igalmusic

This is a another beautiful La vie est belle flanker!
I didn't like it when I was testing it out during winter but now is absolutely stunning, orange blossom, jasmin and vanilla are the most prominent notes, perfect for spring and summer time. Great lasting power

Scentflower

This starts off with a blast of florals. I'm not a huge floral fan, it has to be sweet mixed in. As it dries down it turns sweeter. I get orange blossom and vanilla. Its not bad, I like it. It's a strong perfume. 3 sprays all needed. I almost would compare it to Elie Saab Le Parfum, but sweeter. Thats another heavy orange blossom perfume.

PlanetGrl

Unabashedly feminine and sweet. As much as I didn’t want to admit it, I like this. It’s just a crowd-pleasing, enjoyable and lovely scent all round. It lasts forever, and draws lots of compliments, what’s not to like?

Veronika95

This is so amazing I don’t know why I don’t use it more often. I’m not into florals in general, but love jasmine and orange blossom very much. It doesn’t have that dirty floraly scent, it’s more like juicy and sweet, not what you would expect from flowers. I think I like this even better than the original, but for some unknown reason, I still don’t reach for it very often. It amazes me when I smell it, but then I just forget I guess. But I’m not saying that the scent is boring and forgettable. I just have way too many perfumes 😁

🌸 It’s sparkling, juicy, warm, cozy classy and sexy. Any time of the day, any occasion, even could be a signature scent for any age.
I promise I will use it more 😁

imimsd12

A empty bottle of this amazing smelling parfum is not what's up.. this is a very sexy parfum imo .. and second and third bottle worthy wish lancome would consider making it in a larger bottle..

c311a

obsessed. it is the og but more. the orange blossom cures every wintery blue. february feels like spring. i love the structure. not overpowering floral. the balance of fruit and flower is so delicious. it's like sucking on a piece of hard orange candy. maybe not for everyone. not the biggest fan of the white floral that becomes stronger as the mandarin fades. a little after, the lveb creamy base can be found when you stick your nose against your skin. orange creamsicle skin scent. it's nice, not sexy but very appealing and beautiful imo. not uber unique but very fun and enjoyable!! it makes me feel happy.

igalmusic

Not my cup of tea... this flanker is basically all about white flowers, nothing special...I do prefer original and Intensement version. I am glad I have ordered a sample first...

Quixotic Blue

I knew from the first spray that I'd like this...freesia comes out immediately for me, the mandarin oranges are on trees as you walk by but aren't too pronounced. It's a bright, cheery fragrance that shines in the drydown. You pass through the mandarin orange orchard and the path dotted with freesia to a field where white flowers, jasmine, and newly-bloomed orange blossoms join together in a wonderful combination. You don't notice the separate base notes of patchouli, sandlewood and vanilla but those form a creamy base for the floral middle notes.

I disagree with those calling this a fruit-flower patchouli bomb -- this is a finely-balanced delicate fragrance that doesn't hit the screechy unrelenting fruit notes like some do. It's not spicy like V&R Spicebomb but just as sweet, and I've found I like patchouli base notes because it pulls the flower notes down for us mere mortals to enjoy. I kept expecting it to fall into a fruit or flower-only scent during the drydown, but it stays very structured and the orange blossom, jasmine, freesia all share the limelight together. Nice.

Sillage is great--a little goes a long way! Longevity is good as well--this will last all day.

This is blind buy safe if you like florals. If you enjoy Elie Saab's Le Parfum Eau de Toilette, D&G Pour Femme, Mugler's Alien, Guerlain's Mon Guerlain, or Fiori di Capri Carthusia, you will absolutely enjoy this.

poppyetpear

Ah, man. I gotta stop blind buying. The notes aren't my preferred, but based on reviews, this smells gourmand to many. There is a sweetness to it, but it's not blended well with the florals for me. It's too dainty. I like a little heaviness in my frags. Certain flowers smell like musty, morning breath to me. I know that I like orange blossom and iris. It has to be the white flowers or jasmine turning me off. I paid too much to not absolutely love it😭
I will certainly try to wear it a couple more times and if it doesn't grow on me, I'll return this one.
4/10 for me

JD.Berg

This is a pleasant smell but only when it dries down. It reminds me of Olympea. The mandarin and orange blossom here are prominent in the dry down. I didn’t like the opening; a hefty strong bouquet of jasmine (very Alien like, which I can’t stand), but then it dries down to nice white florals with mandarine. In my opinion, if you already own a bottle of Olympea, owning this with will be redundant. I’d pick Olympea honestly, the white florals are milder and the opening isn’t as Jasmine smothering as in L’eclat.

sommersne

This is La Vie Est Belle and Alien mixed together. Always get compliments on this one. I tend to only wear it for going out to dinner, a date or a bar. But that is probably because i associate Alien with clubbing

Hanahees

I love this perfume
General note : 7.75/10

1. This is a signature scent
This is really gorgeous so I can totally imagine this could be a signature scent. Just not mine. The orange Blossom is absolutely stunning I love love love it and I could smell it all day. But that makes it a somewhat "we all know this perfume" effect.
This is original but still very classic and not really unique. Scandal, or flower Bomb, Girl of now... They all carry this very sweet and intoxicating (beautiful) smell. My signature scent HAS to be absolutely unique so this won't work.

2. It is a gorgeous smell
This is VERY pleasant smell. If you want to offer it or blind buy it, you won't risk a lot. It is going to be a hit. I love Orange Blossom, I am from France and over there we bake desserts with it, so it is such a gourmand smell to me. When I wear La Vie est Belle l'éclat, at the end of the day I can smell the orange blossom, and the morning after I take my shower and the perfume is still there and with the shower release the last bit of orange Blossom.

3. How to wear
To me it feels like it could always be appropriate to wear this perfume but I would be cautious. It's very strong and long lasting, so I can picture people to be overwhelmed by the sweetness.
I believe this is spring perfume but could be worn in summer (although could be pretty strong with heat). I would wear it during summer night. It is definitely date friendly as very feminine could be a very sexy perfume.

4. The longevity is unbeatable
The perfume last last last to the following day. And the night after, I can still smell it on my bed sheets. Thats very pleasant.

6. Notes I can notice
When I spray LVEBE, It starts with a very strong flower smell, the orange blossom and other white flowers. I love sandalwood, but I cannot smell that note. I can smell the vanilla that makes the perfume gourmand AF. I really enjoy that but I noticed that I tend to eat more sweets when I wear it. Lol

7. The bottle is Gorgeous.
The bottle is really impressive and looks very sophisticated. I love how it looks like a cristal and the color of the juice is really honey like and yummy looking.

8. What it reminds me of
Scandal, La Vie est Belle, Guerlain.. It's not really original in the sense that a lot of other perfume smell similar.

9. Comparing to La Vie est Belle (Original)
Definitely an improvement !! I don't really like the original and wish I didn't buy it since I have the upgraded version of that scent.
The original is flat compared to the flanker. It smells more linear, it is just a sweet scent without character. I would definitely encourage people to get l'Eclat especially for gift so you are sure to get a great response.

Originality: 5/10
Smell: 10/10
Longevity: 10/10
Projection: 10/10

Jasmindee

Elegant, sweet and classy.

I gifted this to my mother for Christmas, as LVEB is her signature scent and at first, she wasn't sure. And truth be told? Neither was I. It reminded me a lot of the original, just without any oomph or a certain "je ne sais quois". Still, not deterred by this and with both of us determined to enjoy this perfume, we tried again in the morning and I definitely like it a lot more.

Opening spray for me is a very sharp bergamot. Caught me off guard with how scratchy this note was, but this quickly softens into a very dreamy and whimsical scent on me. I get warm candied oranges, creamy white florals and a lovely sweet, dainty vanilla for the dry down. Very classic and utterly feminine.

Do I prefer this to the original? No, I have to say I don't. It's still beautiful in its own right but it doesn't have the same wow-factor in my opinion, while I do think that L'Eclat is the more wearable of the two. Still, that gorgeous textured bottle is to die for and I'd be very happy to have my own bottle of this one day.

Edit: I'm slowly changing my mind about this perfume. Maybe I didn't try it in the right season? It's a warm, sunny sping day today and I sneaked a spray of this from my mum's countertop and it smells absolutely heavenly. I met up with some girlfriends and they all told me I smelled beautiful and demanded to know what I was wearing. Huh. Maybe I will get myself a little bottle of this after all...

Alena_magari

Ok so...Every perfum is a creation that sounds different on different skin. This is just my opinion. This flanker is a weaker version of the original. It is lighter, fresher, but yet deep. Very universal in terms of seasonal wear. As long as it isn't hot summer or winter, you can use it. But...the composition of this one is not pure. It is La vie est Belle mixed with something that shouldn't be there. But once again, it is just my nose that perceives it like this. Defenitely needs testing before buying. Probably will seem a repetition of something very popular. It is good though, not the best, but good enough. I do prefer the original La Vie Est Belle.

kyleeanderson

If a perfume could be perfect this would be it! The best La vie est belle flanker. It has the original dna with a candied orange blossom. Most complimented fragrance and if you don't like the original try this! and if you are thinking about getting the original get this one instead because it is more complex and smells amazing.

Coffeeandperfume

I fell in love with my coworker's perfume and after arguing with myself for over half a year I bough it. The original La Vie Est Belle is nothing exciting to me. This one, however, unexpectedly, is so vibrant, energetic, syrupy sweet, just wonderful! It works great all year round, but is best in fall and winter. Agree with Trang.nnt below, it is the best La Vie Est Belle flanker.

Trang.nnt

I really enjoy wearing this perfume. In my opinion, this is the better version of La Vie Est Belle. It is sweet and flirty, very feminine. My favourite La Vie Est Belle flanker.

sommersne

My current favorite version of La Vie Est Belle. Starts of almost like the original but later on the Jasmine comes out and it smells really beautiful. I feel like this is quite versatile. Night, day, Fall, spring..

Joe Pineapples

From a male point of view, this is gorgeous, I think it may be my favourite to smell on a woman.
An improvement on La Vie Est Belle (which is nice, but smells a little more traditional). A little on the pricey side but you do get what you pay for.

sakura28

Unfortunately LVEB and all its flankers including this one doesn't work on my skin. I gave this one away. Like the original, I like the smell in the bottle. Smells good at first, but turns weird on my skin. Just not meant to be. I gave it to my sister. But I assume is the original works for you, this one would too it's very similar but this is more fresh and cleaner.

>Happy Cat<

After trying a sample I think that eclat is very meh..
sweet and metallic / plasticky.
I like sweet perfumes but this is not for me.

PurrParfumFan

I’m wearing this in combination with Fantasy by Britney Spears
Needless to say, I feel like a luxurious dessert

Kittycat

Pretty but not my style !
Hello dear ones, today a few comments from me: Wow, what am I productive ;-)

As some may know, some time ago I wrote a laudatory commentary on LVEB, the "original". I still stand by it, even though I hardly wear the scent anymore. It just doesn't suit me !

Yesterday I was in a perfumery for the first time in a long time, where I could finally test fragrances again with pleasure ! Oh, that felt good. So I tested among other things "La Vie est Belle L'Éclat L'Eau de Parfum". Immediately I was very impressed, I have a weakness for orange blossom, which really jumps at you in this perfume (well, I don't want to exaggerate, but it is very dominant). In addition, it has a certain fruity freshness, at least in the beginning. Soon, sweet vanilla comes into play and gives a homely feeling. For a moment I was inclined to buy the fragrance. Of course also to support a distressed retail business in the crisis.
But, you know, I'm pretty slick now. I know exactly, in the beginning I would be on fire, but in the course of time the enthusiasm would gradually diminish ... I am not the type for it, I would not feel well ... The scent would eventually overwhelm and tire me with its concentrated load of sweetness. The modern gourmand fragrances, all the flower bombs, scandals, olympeas and whatever they're called, instinctively have a strong attraction. You want scent?! Bang, there you go! Right in the twelve! Hardly anyone can resist the smell. It's like a bag of jelly babies with them. You can't stop, but in the end you've had enough. Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk No, I've gotten smarter over time: A perfume must suit the type! In my opinion. That's also the reason why many people here in the forum fall for fragrances that they don't like anymore. At another everything may be wonderful and harmonious, but then it just fits. This is like a dress, not every cut and color suits you !
Besides, I'd be very irritated if some Jeremy guy (nothing against Jeremy - he recommends this perfume, by the way) in the elevator standing next to me shouted: "Sexy! In my opinion, the fragrance is something for women who want to please.
I am now definitely out of this phase.

neroli_fan

Unbelievable scent. This is one of the strongest on my body ever that I have tried and the scent is so delicious, what my high school black raspberry vanilla dreamt of being. But unfortunately the terrible strength makes it impossible for me to wear on my neck or even arms. I have to spray my feet or it is a guaranteed knock down, on the ground, unconscious. Huge migraine inducer. Never wear this to work! Amazing in an outdoor setting. Spray ONCE in the air and walk through...

bdragonfly12345

I was walking through a department store this afternoon, and suddenly I smelled the most amazing scent. I asked the SA what it was, and she said "probably this", and sprayed "Eclat" onto a card for me. Immediately, I knew it smelled like something I have and love...but what?!

I put the card in my bag and went about my errands. On the drive home, I was like a girl possessed, trying to figure out what the amazing smell was (duh, it was this, emanating from my closed bag!).

Got home, went to my perfume room (aka my "girl cave"), and realised it is nearly identical (on paper) to Jean Paul Gaultier's "Classique Essence". I didn’t get to try it on skin, but if you like JPG, you might like "Eclat".

(For what it's worth, this smells completely different to the original "LVEB" to me, although I am one of those people who enjoys the original, haha. I like a lot of Lancome's scents, actually.)

nevasito

This one smells exactly like Black Opium Neon.

Sreza7

Not a big fan of the juice but the bottle is a work of art.

oldleather

This smells strongly of artificial grape to me. it reminds me very heavily of alien. I don't smell any similarities between this and the original except for at the very ending in the dry down. I've read previously that jasmine and grape have similar chemical compounds but it just smelt too strong of artificial grape to me. I'm assuming the heavy dose of jasmine is giving that grape smell. I love LVEB and will continue to enjoy the original. I think L'eclat would have been a great perfume of its own and not a flanker to LVEB because they have completely different vibes and smell entirely different to my nose!

cherie cherie

Not a big fan of the opening since I am not really big on orange blossom but the dry down is so stunningly beautiful. To me it smells like candied orange covered in sugar. Sampled this in the department store along with LVEB and I much prefer l'eclat than the original.

Monster projection and last all day on my skin (10+ hrs). One of my friends said that it kinda reminds her of YSL Black Opium (I dont own one so cant really speak on it).

Calvini

If I had to choose between all the La Vie est Belle, this would be the one.

Balletflowers

I LOVE this perfume! Way more than the original which I have 2 bottles of. This is more vanilla, orange blossom, iris, less patchouli, no praline. The original is more in your face, loud, beast mode, and I can’t stand that much patchouli. This is a softer, prettier version. I highly recommend this to my vanilla lovers!

sexylegolas

First impression: Beautiful bottle. Definitely still have that LVEB DNA. I blind bought this–bIg mIsTaKe. Upon first spray I was like "weee! Orange candy!" But then middle note stays on my skin and all I smell is wood wood wood sandalwood. Whyyyyyyyyyyy where's the vanilla? Where's the white flowers?? Maybe it's there but it's so faint. I think this should have a monster sillage. Idk, I'll update again later after I wear it. But for now, it is an overwhelming sandalwood perfume and I don't see anyone under 30 wearing it. So far, this is a mature fragrance.

Update: Quite hating this perfume for the first day, I was contemplating on giving it away, but the price 😭 so I decided to give it a chance. Here's the recap of my experience.

Day 1: Hate it. Can't stand the smell. Too much wood, too balsamic. Ewwhhh I paid that much for this?! Should I give it away?
Day 2: I began to question myself. Wait, this is not so bad. I started to tolerate the smell. I started to smell the vanilla and something creamy and tarty.
Day 3: I began to like this perfume. Wore it to work. I find myself smelling my clothes a lot...
Day 4: I'm whooped. How did we come to this? Why did I fell in love with this?? Omg. What the heck. It's all smell so nice and sophisticated and perfect for basically any women of all age. Whattttt
Day 5: LOVE LOVE LOVE. I have Tresor Midnight Rose that I love as well but I can't wear that yet because I keep on wanting to smell this on me. I feel like I'm the best smelling person at work. I feel sophisticated, sweet, yummy, and wrapped in a warm embrace of Julia Roberts all day long. Ohhh yummy.

So what I'm trying to say was Day 1 and 2 I was sick, and probably my smell aren't the best. I changed my rating–LVEB L'eclat is so beautiful. So lovely. Not too sweet but so creamy and soft and long lasting. Damn. I love this scent so much, I can see this as my signature scent. If you have a perfume you dislike, do yourself a favor, give it time. It's like getting to know a new friend; takes time to actually see the good in them and love them.

Sadly I went to a store closing today and picked this up. I have to say that I am super happy with the purchase. It reminds me of Burberry London with a bit of vanilla added. I can tell that I'm going to use this a lot (and as is customary with anything I love they will probably discontinue it).

It feels like something to wear on a spring day when it rains. It has that sort of wet freshness about it. As I've never actually smelled an actual orange flower I can't say if it smells of that. What I do know is that it does smell of mock orange in the very best way.

MonkeyPuppet

I think I have finally jumped on the LVEB bandwagon with L' Eclat. But it has not been an easy feat. I've noticed on certain days I have extreme patchouli sensitivity. I mean that patchouli is the only note I can smell in some fragrances. So for this and Flowerbomb on some days they are indistinguishable during the first hour. But in the long run L' Eclat wins. I like the dry down on L'Eclat much better than Flowerbomb because it leaves a pleasant sweet, jammy orange blossom note a bit like marmalade or Si Fiori's black currant note. At this point in the fragrance journey, I can't stop sniffing my arm. Very pretty but I do spray sparingly.

crystalistheone

This is such a lovely perfume. I have the original La vie and three of the flankers, and this is the favorite of them. The citrus in this perfume really gives it a unique smell, when I wear this I get compliments all the time by men and women. I give this perfume a rating of nine out of 10.

Aina Harryna

NCIm already use la vie est belle edp but this one more to orange n jasmine. It bit similiar with britney spear curious but it more strong mandarin n orange scent. For me it lasting in 4 hour but im not really love this perfume. I prefer n love la vie est belle edp more than this. Maybe i not repeat buy again. Not my tease perfume.

Lauren19

I'm not a fan of the original but I enjoy the floral notes in this one. It is nicer and less of a patchoulli bomb on my skin which makes this one better for me and more wearable.

codymarieb

I blind purchased this perfume from Sephora.

To me, this is the sweeter, more intense, sexier version of La Vie Est Belle.

They add the bergamot in the opening that gives it a bit of a louder, more eye catching and stronger presence.

As it dries down there is that classic La Vie Est Belle DNA but it's sexier and more appropriate for evening or cold weather.

The dry down - amazing. On the skin, it's sweet, it's so pretty, it's unmistakably feminine.

I think my boyfriend would definitely prefer this one to the original.

I give it a 10/10.

highbymybay

If it wasn't named L'eclat, it would be "La Vie Est Belle Sugarbomb". A juicy fruity punch with the original LVEB dna. I much prefer the original one, as this is a little bit too sweet for me. Performance is undeniably great, long lasting, amazing sillage. People would probably compliment you (no guarantee) but I've got complaints myself from my family saying it's too strong.

AMH19

Beautiful and more wearable than the original. I don't like the original one as I find it to smell bad on me, but this one is a great twist on it.

Hurricane_Hilda

Man eater. Makes men wanna eat you 😉. Who would complain this is Femininity in a bottle. It’s gorgeous. Now this isn’t a come into a room fragrance sorry. It’s light and sweet. Only the person next to you can smell this. You can smell this on you all day. Your clothes will smell like this. This is just pretty it’s sweet it’s such a feminine scent and I mean the juice is pink makes your vanity look so dainty. I prefer this over the original. The original is nice but this one knocked my socks off. I could not rest easy until I had this in my collection.

PerfuMEOW

My most complimented perfume. Ever.

Spartanbaby

What can i say...Its LVEB...I have both the edt and the edp... i got so many compliments from both of them.. I wear L’eclat edp during colder months and since its nearly summer here in Australia, Im currently wearing the edt and WOW as in WOW, it really do its job... Makes you feel expensive and its so uplifting... EDT is more in citrusy side...I love both of them anyway...
ITS MY SIGNATURE SCENT!!!

Jacquis

In the heat of summer, I find that LVEB L'Eclat smells very similar to Boucheron Place Vendome. The sweetened orange blossom blooms the same in both perfumes. However, in winter, they are completely different animals. Both lovely but, LVEB punches all year long while PV fades in winter.

fkt.julia

Wowzers!

Disclaimer: I do not own this fragrance (yet).

So here is the story: I was just testing out different perfumes on paper strips in a shop. At first LVEB L'Éclat didn't do anything for me, so no love at first sniff either. It was a bit too strong at first I think to really appreciate it's beauty. So as I wanted to leave, I couldn't see any bins around the store to throw away the strips into, so I just threw them in my purse.
Fast forward a few hours as I get home: I open my purse and this really nice sweet scent hits me. I wasn't sure which tester was it, as all the paper strips kind of started to smell the same, this one seemed to overpower them. At first I was thinking it might have been Elie Saab's Girl of Now, as from memory, that was the one I tested and really smelled sweet from the beginning. But now, there wasn't any strong almond and tonka scent, so that couldn't be it.
So I started to look up the notes of the perfumes I remembered testing. LVEB L'Éclat: orange bloosom and vanilla. Yes, this is what I'm smelling, a sweet orange blossom. But is it really the one? I remembered it smelled nothing like this at first. Only one way to find out. So I went back to the store after a few days, tried this one again on paper, gave it a few minutes to settle and yes, this was that sweet orange blossom that enchanted me after opening my purse.
As it is quite a strong scent, I knew I have to test on skin as well, to know if it would really work for me. Well, unfortunately the scent wasn't really the same this way. That saddened me quite greatly, as I really loved this. I think I will still give this one a try in colder weather, as the day I tested it was +30 celsius, so that might have been a problem as well. Will update if that works.
And a fun little addendum: the wallet that was in my purse when I first tested this still smelled this sweet, vanilla-orange blossom after more than a week! It's that long wearing.

JanaSlimsek

How bored were/are you with the LVEB flankers? Well, I sure was until this one got launched.

I would consider this one of my favs for last and this year. I love sweet fragrances and this one is just so right for me. I enjoyed wearing this so much in the winter that I literally didn't' pick up any other perfume other than this. I was actually combining both this and EDT version and they really worked hand in hand for me.
Orange blossom absolutely shines in this perfume, combined with a very noticeable Mandarine and of course, vanilla. It really isn't anything like the og lveb, but you can tell it's the same group. I just love how much more "fresh-sweet" this one is. It stays on the skin for the longest imaginable time and it also develops pretty interestingly. It drifts a lot more towards lveb when it's been on the skin for around an hour, but it still has some freshness to it, surprisingly.

Lovely fragrance, both this one and EDT!

janelinrn

This beauty opens with a shot of refreshing citrus tempered just enough by the freesia to keep it from becoming cloying. The vanilla in the base, to me, is apparent early on to make this a warm scent, yet still refreshing. The other white flowers and orange blossom tone the jasmine down, and are in perfect combination to make the fragrance a sweet floral that is warm and inviting without being overly sugary. Not an unusual or very complex fragrance, but a well done beautiful everyday scent that can be summed up as just lovely.

Nuitdenoel

This went from a like to a love but understand that I LOVE florals. The first few times I tested it, it felt too heavy, like there was no lift to the fragrance. Today, I was gifted it, so I put it on and went about my day. The combination of summer temps and the drydown has made this come alive.

Definitely a sweet, white floral layered over LVEB base. It’s soft and lilting, with good sillage and projection. I think if you like the original, and if you like florals, you’ll like this.

Cheribomb

Although not my signature scent, I am a fan of Armani Code Cashmere. When I tried this (Lancome) La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat (inside Macy's), I instantly noticed it's great resemblance to Armani Code Cashmere - so I purchased the La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat too.

Sreza7

Very nice. I get a lot of sandelwood in this. Very creamy vanilla and sandelwood, and white flowers. I enjoy this more than original LVEB. Smells a lot like Ralph Lauren Woman in the dry down but much less sharp and loud.

Samiology

I've decided long time ago that I will wear whatever kind of perfume I like regardless it was for Men or Women. This, was supposed to be a birthday gift for a Taurus female friend of mine. The minute I did smell this adorable fragy,I made up my mind that it will be all mine!

I have tried a lot of female fragrances before ( flowerbomb, Eau Mega, Bonbon, The one, and almost the entire Body shop collection) but this is completely something else.

I guess there is something hypo with this fragrance that gives you the real feeling and believe that Life is really Beautiful!
In Some of the bad days at work, this fragrance kept me going on as I was only getting up , get dressed for work only for the sake of wearing this beauty and enjoying it the whole day, and YES, longtivity and projection is enormous, way beyond Victor & Rolf and even Rose Taif.

A true gem that in case I was looking for a signature scent, that would definitely be it .

HouseofKeisha

I have always enjoyed this (and the intense) version for being sweet as classic to the use of orange blossom and bright like a smile. It enlightens my day as it says, life is beautiful.

MariaMy

Hello,

This review is totally unbiased but in terms of previous ownership or sampling the original.
Therefore I’m not comparing this review. I’m reviewing this as an “ original”

This is a very safe daytime fragrance.
All year round it changes depending on your skin temperatures it will pick up and highlight different notes from the scent.

Best to wear In autumn

annxyz

Just what we need , a new fruity floral that does not have longevity and is loaded with SUGAR .

I will say something positive about Lancome . Poeme still smells very nice and it has longevity . Lancome should market it mainstream ( it is not in my local stores ) and dum the
Myriad of LVEB flankers.

Mbrock

Like some other reviewers this is just candy on me. I cant even tell this is orange blossom, Its just a sugar bomb. I can def tell its related to LVEB but it fails to be unique, its just a meh for me. Also, The original LVEB has very good longevity but on me this lasts 3 hours. Not good. If I want an orange blossom hit Elie Saab Intense does it better & if I want a sugar bomb Ill stick to the original LVEB.

elmccullar

Ahhh...such a beautiful fragrance! Sparkling orange blossom, a little floral, and that woody/patch/vanilla base we all know and love. Perfection. There's almost a "fizziness" to it at first, then it turns into a gorgeous cloud of sparkling orange blossom goodness surrounding you. It's enough like LVEB that you know it's a flanker, but different enough to stand out. The bottle is soooo beautiful! Lancome made a winner with this one!

scentitar

A very nice fruity and lady like fragrance that is playful, yet still classy. It never becomes immature or overly sweet, yet is feminine. I love this fragrance and I have been recommending it on my channel on youtube called scentitar fragrance.

Performance is moderate and longevity is 6 to 7 hours

I have worn Escada Margarethe Ley for 30 years as my signature scent. It was discontinued in the 90's and the only place I can find the parfum is Ebay, and it is out of my price range unless I just catch it lucky. So I have been hunting for a year for something I could fall in love with. I do not like LBEV original. Tried it and it smelled like bug spray on me. I got a sample of this in my Ulta sale catalog and thought what the heck. I was surprised; I liked it. Soft, powdery, and not too overwhelming. My husband came home and said I smelled good. Hmmm...So I have rounded up samples and have worn it daily for the last 2 weeks. Lots of compliments from co-workers and my husband really likes it. It is the strongest contender to replace my signature scent. I am still not ready to say this is it, but I have invited it in to visit for a while. Will keep you updated.

Gwenhwyfar

I never commented on La Vie Est Belle or its flankers because everything worth mentioning was already said many times over by so many people, but I test LVEB and its different flankers every time I go to big department stores - just trying to see which I prefer in case I decide to finally buy one of them. Yesterday I took out a sweater I wore about two months ago when I sprayed LVEB L'Eclat in Macys on the edge of my sleeve, and as I wore it again yesterday, I enjoyed almost full strength scent of LVEB L'Eclat wafting around me all day. I mean it was so strong like I just sprayed it several hours ago, not 2 months ago. I think it's the longest-lasting fragrance (on clothes) I've tried so far. And yes, it's a stunning-looking bottle, too!

chicagogirl

I like it more than LVB original. Sweeter, softer, gentler. No super strong, in your face patchouli. I really smell the soft, warm vanilla and pretty white flowers and orange blossom. Yummy, cuddly, cozy. I think this one is a bit more gourmand than the original, but not in your face about it. It's a different scent, but it's more in the same vein/family as Black Opium than LVEB. It lasts forever on skin. I sprayed the back of my hand once and could smell it 4-5 hours later.

scentfriend

It is an absolute better version of the original one. The original La Vie Est Belle is sweeter and stronger on my skin, but this one is more on the flowery and sandalwood base. It even lasts several days, even after showering I could smell the sandalwood. Elegant, beautiful and in my opinion the best of LVEB.

Marianora67

What a little gem of a fragrance.
If I was to have my time over again I would consider wearing this on my wedding day as I love the soft powdery and feminine qualities to this beauty! I wanted orange blossom in my wedding bouquet but couldn’t get in the season I wed! I did have freesias though! Which I adore!
The vanilla is lovely here. Everything to me is casually and effortlessly elegant and lovely. This one is definitely in my opinion a very accepting fragrance as it is balanced beautifully, so not at all excessively sweet or loud! Slightly cotton candy sweet but softened and restrained and rounded beautifully to be uncloying and balanced in my opinion! Love it!
Nice one for the office, lunch with friends, cinema or shopping! Good everyday go to or signature.
I prefer this to (I write this as I have both on! One on each each arm! ) La Vie Est Belle as I find her a bit too screechy sweet, (Hello Praline!) although if applied very sparingly this is also quite nice. But you definitely have to be a gourmand sweet lover! Here you need to love white florals, jasmine and freesias, Sandlewood & vanilla!
It is unusually refreshing for a white floral and smells very clean. I wouldn’t pass this for a summer nights wearing!
Projection is Ok on me and so far longetivity is reasonable! I considering buying this as my next purchase. I would love to have this adorable bottle alongside my growing collection!
I have a strong suspicion my Mum will also love this~ She’s a Poeme, Lou Lou,Yves Saint Laurent & Paris girl<3

PS: I’ve been wearing this off and on for over a week now and I seem to be gravitating to this a lot! there is something kind of addictive to this! The word juicy comes to my mind! Must be the orange blossom and Mandarin orange!

Eree94

I absolutely adore this fragrance! It smells powdery and reminds me of the smell of my mother's make up as a kid. It's incredibly feminine, lasts forever, and I get comments all the time when wearing this.

chinna

This is my collaboration... this perfume is similar to H. poison l eau sensuelle Dior.

SaraX

Due to the differences in notes I thought this would be sufficiently different to the original LVEB.

Unfortunately this isn't, at least for me. I can catch the very same DNA that forms the base of the original, which unfortunately is not a favourite of mine due to its praline-flower-fruit-patchouli sweetness, that is too much for me to handle. This is not such a strong patchouli bomb and the praline is missing, but as I said, the same basic DNA remains, like it naturally should, keeping this a true flanker.

This is a pretty safe choice for those who like the original LVEB and for instance V&R Flowerbomb. I'm glad there's so many of you out there who enjoy these scents that I unfortunately have to pass. These are definitely great when worn by the right person.

Allegra

Not a particular fan of the original La Vie Est Belle (too powdery and orientalish a scent to my taste) whereas this beauty wins me over hands down. I always have such feelings as serenity and pleasantness among others when wearing the fragrance. It is like a beautiful, carefree and sunny day in the summer; clouds nowhere to be seen and you got all the time in the world just to relax and enjoy yourself. Sheer loveliness imho.

Krisztinakkz

Its the original minus the stinky patchouli, its nice!

S4r4

This is sooooo much better than the original!! I received a sample of it as a gift with purchase and I'm happy I did, cause I would never had try this one since I dont like the original... but I got yo say that I am a patchouli hater, so if the patchouli note is something you liked in the original you may not like this one because it's really toned down in this, wich is probably why my nose is happy with it! It definately worths a try!

tru4reele

I love this so much. I have the original and never wear it. If anyone would like to trade their eclat for the original La Vie Est Belle please message me. My bottle is like 98% full.

lmwimsatt

If you like grape candy this is the perfume for you

stinaxt

I smelled this on a woman at an event the other night and I knew exactly what it was, and it smelled amazing on her! I have to say, it has such a "signature" that I thought she smelled amazing, and then I thought, this is a perfume that would probably smell good on just about every woman. Sweet, with that orange blossom note. Perfection to me. I am going to purchase a bottle this week because smelling it on her made me realize how much I love it. It was wafting around her so beautifully all night.

AnnieT303

I have a sample and am so relieved I didn't purchase a bottle of this....

Upon first spritz, it was a familiar scent - - cotton candy. That's it. Just straight up cotton candy. I've tried it 3 other times with same results. And there was nothing beyond that sickeningly sweet scent that ever evolved.

dishcooper2

I am disappointed with this blind buy as something just eclipsing the white florals for me just minutes after the get go - I am a huge vanilla fan but this smells on me like sticking your nose into the corner of a metal cake tin which had a Victoria Sponge in about 6 months ago - stale metallic sweet tang of old vanilla crumbs. I have tried this on my mother and got the same effect - I am sure there are many lucky people this smells glorious on but not me.

Blushpinkpeonies

Ooh, I love it! This is LVEB lite mixed with Alien. Gorgeous jasmine and orange blossom. So bright and sparkling! The vanilla dry down is lovely; sweet and rich but not cloying. Beautiful sillage and longevity. I am surrounded by a sweet cloud when I wear this. Even if you don't like original LVEB, do give this one a try. I enjoyed my sample so much I bought myself a 1.7 oz bottle. That rarely happens. This is a versatile scent and I have a feeling I'm going to be wearing it frequently!

MrsTefee

This one is much more vanilla and less patch than the original! I quite like this. Very nice for cozy sweater weather : )

WildDove

Freesia, jasmine, and berries stand out for me the most over a base of the La Vie est Belle DNA.

greyhoundmom

Oh dammit.. I need to stop trying these LVEB flankers, they are making me broke!!! Ugh! I adore LVEB.. so far I have the Intense and the Absolu flankers and adore those as well.. I gave L'Eclat a try because the bottle is so gorgeous, not expecting much because I figured, "oh, just another orange blossom fragrance, ho hum" even though I love orange blossom.. well, of course, I ended up falling hard for this one. It's like a sweeter version of Alien. Alien with vanilla.. but not the root beer/cream soda vanilla of Alien Essence Absolue. This is actually far more reminiscent of Alien eau Extraordinaire but with the LVEB DNA lurking below the surface.

Great sillage, great longevity, great everything.. sigh.. guess I will add this to my LVEB shelf.. ;)

Princess

Omg I love this so much!!! In the beginning I dont think it smells like the orginal, but after some hours you smell the dna of the orginal La Vie Est Belle. It does smell a little like Alien perfume in the beginning and I dont like Alien at all, but its not as strong as Alien and just a tad simelar, my mum asked me what perfume I was wearing, heavy sillage og longevity! Love it!

scentnut

I have several La Vie Est Belle flankers and of course I had to test this one out. I tried it once from Macy's last fall and thought it would be more suited for spring. It reminded me a LOT of Ralph Lauren Midnight Romance on first spritz at the time (which was quite lovely but had poor longevity). I knew Lancome wouldn't disappoint in that area! It is definitely lighter than any other version I have tried which is not a bad thing. To me, "light" in Lancome terms means "normal" ha! I'm not going to complain about a good thing especially with so many newer perfumes lacking.

I gave it another try this July and almost bought a bottle right away. I'm glad I waited. The long dry down of every LVEB flanker came through. There is a certain patch in all of them that is very distinct. Some stronger, some lighter but it is there no less. The patch in my other perfumes smells nothing like the one used in LVEB versions. It's a different kind I'm sure.

I gave it one more try last evening. Personally I am going to pass however I would say if you adore freesia give it a go! I've just personally had my time with that scent via Bath and Body Works classics. If you don't mind the typical LVEB patch dry down (very light in this one but still there IMO) go for it. I adore sandalwood and it's pretty heavy at the end as well so if your skin amplifies that note definitely try it out before you buy it. I could see how some felt it was more masculine for this reason. My skin just seems to mesh well with sandalwood. Fresher, more linear and less complex than the other flankers. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous!

WonderGirl98

I smelled this on a friend of mine and I couldn't believe that it was a La Vie Est Belle flanker. I hate the original LVEB with a passion (even though I used to wear it in high school, now it only smells like chamicals to me) but for some reason I adore this one. It reminds me a lot of Demeter's baby powder fragrance. This is like a more sophisticated and complete version of it instead of just baby powder. I see that quite a lot of people who didn't like the original like this one, I guess this was made for those of us who disliked the original. It has a huge sillage and great longevity and since I don't really like surgary sweet perfumes anymore, something like this would be perfect for me in he winter. I find no similarities with the original at all, this is a powdery floral, the original is a true gourmand. Honestly it doesn't even belong in the LVEB line, it deserves to be a new fragrance with a new name and a new bottle. I need a bottle of this.

gtabasso

a gourmand floral in my book with something more caramel or praline than just vanilla, freesia, musk, patchouli, sandalwood and a little powder quality

PrudencePriss

Why does this smell like Tom Ford Orchid Soleil to me?

aprilsandoval0704

I absolutely love this scent. It's a delicate white floral with a sugary undertone that balances beautifully. It reminds me of sugar crusted flower petals that decorate those lovely organic cakes that are in fashion right now.

UPDATE: In this spring and summer this is so much lighter. I don't know how that works, because usually most perfumes are heavier in the heat but this one is a bit less sugary and a bit more floral in the sunshine. Very very nice. The drydown is so light and pretty and sits very close to the skin. What a pretty morphing scent! I love it when perfumes completely change with the seasons but remain beautiful.

Soofiya

As someone who's not a fan of original LVEB,I never thought that I'm going to find two of my top favorites among it's flankers!I like it's edt and florale flanker a lot and I LOVE,love, love intense and now this eclat one
This flanker doesn't have much in common with LVEB.it more reminds me JPG classique intense and Elie Saab white but I prefer this one.
I can detect LVEB's DNA in the opening part and first half an hour, the first woodsy patchouli, sugar and lipsticky iris, but it's brightened by bergamot and softened by white florals.
After a while LVEB gene totally fades away.on my skin,it's drydown is a combination of creamy white florals, mostly orange flower and some jasmine, vanilla,a bit of creamy sandalwood and a touch of powder. White florals are the star here, but I love that it's not a plain floral scent.it has the exact right amount of sweetness and powder to make it interesting without getting cloying. It's sweet but not as sweet and gourmand as it's sisters but there's something tasty and so addictive in it too.it's not something never done before.there are numerous fragrances with the familiar formula of "orange flower+sweetness+powder" out there but LVEB l'eclat is one of the best ones I know.while I also love other perfumes in this genre, they sometimes feel too much, either too much sweetness/vanilla or too much florals or too much powder but I never get tired or sick from smelling this babe.
For me it's wearable year round.I prefer more fresh and fruity scents for too much hot summer days but it's great for a mild summer evening or night.
Longevity is AMAZING.it clings to clothes and nerver totally leaves.it also has great projection.everything is pure perfection.I even love it's bottle
Highly recommended
Edit:
Longevity isn't so good on my skin.I know that Lancomes are well-known for their strength but they usually don't last more than 4,5 hours on my skin, projection which is more important for me is very satisfying though

sarah.brooks

I love this version... and waiting on the EDT..

xionoula

Starts VERY powdery, doesnt remind at all the original perfume maybe a little only when fading way after some hours.I liked it very much, its clean, not that sweet and very elegant.

sarah.brooks

I love this whole collection and I'm getting all version... must have

Uh-umm

Smells like watermelons to my nose. Delicious.

persefoni

Heavy, woody, extremely reminiscent of Alien. Nauseating to me, not something i can tolerate, although i like heavy perfumes like Marlowe, Chypre Rouge,Ambre Sultan and Arabie, Penhaligon's Bluebell, Diptyque L'Eau, Myrrhe Imperial, Samsara, Hypnotic Poison, LVeB Intense, even Alien Essence Absolue a lot. This one is utterly unpleasant......

lmwimsatt

This smells like rubber

saeglopur

I received a sample of this at the Copenhagen airport, and for that reason I hold fond memories of this scent. Other than that, it doesn't really appeal to me. L'Éclat smells like purple cotton candy -- it envelops you in a sweet, sticky cloud of fluff. I get the comparisons to Alien, but this is a much younger scent. Whereas Alien can be worn by someone in their 30s who wants to make a statement, L'Éclat is more suited to the 16-23 age group -- girls who are still trying to figure out who they are, but want to be seen as 'pretty'. Unfortunately, the sillage is quite strong, so it can instead be seen as 'trying too hard'.

Barbarella1902

I’ve tried this fragrance a few days ago and it will be my next fragrance to buy.it is very long lasting (12 hours on my skin and days on the pullover).sweet, floral and orange creamy it is perfect for spring and summer, even if my mum thinks it is a perfume suitable every time.
It is not similar to LVEB, it is more “clean” and floral it keeps the longevity and strong character.
I like it,,,

Edit after 1week daily use: it is one of the fragrances I like best, longevity and sillage are enormous it fills a room, very and sweet and poudery it is very particular. It is the best fragrance I tried in the last 2 years.... well done Lancome!

Lela81

Gorgeous fragrance! Great longevity and sillage. But I get a really bad reaction when I spray it on my skin so I can’t wear it anymore :(

vintagevixen

Just popping in to say, that this definitely does remind me of Alien as others have mentioned. I found one of those rub-on sampler ads in a magazine and rubbed my wrist against it. Thought it smelled very nice. A few minutes later I thought I could smell Alien and flipped through the pages expecting to find an Alien perfume ad. Then I realized it was coming from my wrist with La Vie est Belle L'Eclat on it. I then tried it on in the store, and I have to say it is my favorite flanker of the La Vie est Belle line. Sweet, but not in an overwhelmingly sweet, gourmand way like in the original. The white flowers are more prominent. If you're looking for a sweet but somewhat more sophisticated scent I would try this.

PerfuMEOW

This is very pretty. I get powdery orange blossom and a hint of lipstick as well. Great longevity and sillage. And that bottle... gorgeous!

parfumparfan

This smells just like the original, but with a strange interpretation of vanilla on top and throughout. Imagine you're eating Honey Smacks cereal, and you've just about finished all the cereal and now you're left with a sweet, honeyed, but wheat-y smelling milk. That is exactly the top note we're talking about. I didn't think the original LVEB needed more sweetness but this one is actually more preferable because the strong LVEB heart becomes more of an afterthought. I think the vanilla is comforting and milky-smelling but it's also kind of weird and I wouldn't want to smell like it. Still smells as sticky as the original LVEB but tamer, a bit more gentle. I prefer this but still wouldn't wear it. It smells much more youthful than the original and is probably more wearable too.

WhiteVelvet

The bottle is lovely and so is the scent in it.
I like this one better than the original. I am
not a big patchouli fan. I like this version better.

iamoir

Notes of the flanker as Lancome site states:

And I don't agree with the hate bar....

L'eclat is in the same class as Alien, Paradiso Assoluto and J'adore. It's just sweeter and has a tamed sillage. Needless to say, it's a solid "like" and for the first time I enjoy this scent everywhere in Sephora and alike shops, as the S.A.s offer to sample it on you. Women also seem to be generally interested in L'Eclat.

Beautiful bottle, better than the Original. With a metallic floral opening, reminiscent of J'adore, developing into a scent only veering to heavy, never becoming too cloying as the Original.
Quite heady because of the white florals; eventually you get a sweetened, "smokey" jasmine-gardenia-orange blossom. Not very clear but intense, blended to create one solid white floral, soapy, with a powdery iris, the powder detergent type maybe?, but it works very well here, don't worry.

Sweetness as it should be, finally, it's complimentary and not sickening and actually enjoyable! Linear and layer-friendly.

A womanly scent, rather serious and less playful, but very appropriate for a young woman in her twenties; could be what Chanel was trying to do with Gabrielle but failed. So if you truly are the target group for Gabrielle and happened not to like it, try L'Eclat.
And the sillage is strong only for one-two hours, which makes it a safe office scent, or something that won't offend people around you; it is long lasting.

Well done Lancome, great job!

I didn't like the original LVEB but this one was less sweet on the strip and I noticed I liked it better. I mostly blind bought this though for myself for Christmas. The bottle is so gorgeous.

The first time I sprayed it, it was so strong I ran and scrubbed it off. I could still smell it after I scrubbed. My first impression was Alien but much more choking... loud and synthetic. The opening shouts so loud it's hard to enjoy for me. Extremely synthetic and sweet plus powerful powdery jasmine.

I've tried it several times since then. If I apply this during day hours, I run to scrub it off! It makes me almost dizzy and I love perfume.

At night, it's easier to handle after the initial craziness calms down. The jasmine and powder and sweetness stay, but much calmer after 10-15 minutes.

I bought this from hsn so I can return it if I want to. I've packed it up and unpacked it 4 times. If the bottle weren't so gorgeous it would already be in the mail. The bottle has kept me slightly more neutral, but it's most likely going back.

Tested this simply because the bottle was so pretty. First spray: freshly-torn orange peel, plus something that made my eyes sting. Then as I wandered about the store for about 1/2 hour, I smelled Victorian medicine cabinet: camphor, liniment, rosewater... After that, all I could smell was scratchy-throat sandalwood with a few flowers, and it really bothered me. It's still on the sleeve of that shirt, even after washing it, and i don't know if I'll ever get it out of my coat. I'm kind of annoyed. If I go to a cafe wearing that coat, I can't taste the coffee or food properly.
It doesn't seem to resemble the rest of the LVEB line much. I dislike the original LVEB but for different reasons. I guess it's not for me.

Compared to the original one, which is a real success story, this is lighter and less sweet. The big difference is the lack of patchouli. This is more a white flower scent. There is an element that I dislike, I don't know what it is.
I prefer the original one.

The bottle of La Vie est Belle L'Eclat is beautiful.

Unfortunately this is not my scent at all. It is great for those who find the original one too sweet and rich in patchouli, who are looking for something more floral.

Started off like the original one however it changed like 100% got more flowery vanilla vipe with a touch of citrus

So strong so u may get dizzy if u over spray it
Just 2_3 sprays will last very ling time with more than enough salvage

The packging is normal the glass is really bettet looks luxury with the whitr shiny bow

My overall rate 8/10
Ubiquness 6.5/10
Lasting 9/10
Silvage 8.5/10
Complemets 8/10

The original, although a decent fragrance, was always too heavily sweet for me, so I tried this to see if I would like a lighter, more effervescent version. I was SHOCKED by how much stronger this was: a full on assault of synthetic sweetness that is part coca cola (with extra sugar) and part gasoline. From reading the notes I really don't know where that extremely aggressive plastic scent comes from; maybe it's the white florals? I don't smell any bergamot whatsoever. L'Eclat is unpleasantly synthetic-smelling; I'm beginning to think that maybe the LVEB line just isn't for me.

This one smells so strong on me. I like this more than the original LVEB. The ori is too sweet, this a calmer version but with a different twist.

Reminds me of Guerlain Insolence a bit with more floral touch.

I dont really care about the ingredients used like other reviewers, as long as it smells good. Very long lasting n sillage is quite good.

It should be a new fragrance by Lancome and not in the LVEB family.

OH MY GOD the worst ive tried ,it doesnt smell bad but this is what happened to me:

i sprayed it on me....and i became suuuuuuper Dizzy almost like i needed to puke. i felt drunk! must be something in there that is very very strong.

i also got a headache....i do lke the smell but obviously im allergic to this one, this perfume was on sale in a sweden perfume store...i can actually understand why....

I tested LVEB Eclat today. I actually like this a little better than the original. IT is pretty much what everyone is saying, a Vanilla/gourmand/floral. It works on me. Not overwhelmingly sweet. The florals are very prevalent. Reminds me a bit of Sofia Vergara Sofia.

Very pretty. I enjoy the overlay of the white florals on the sweeter base. Longevity is great, going strong at five hours with no sign of stopping. Projection is moderate.

I agree with the review that said honey, honey, honey....but no honey is listed. Oh well, I could never tolerate the original la vie est belle. to me it was sickening sweet. This however, is just right. I tried it in store and couldn't stop smelling my wrist. Very rarely, do I immediately buy a bottle of perfume, but this one I has to have in my life. Way better than the original to my nose.

I don't know what it is about this scent that has me hooked on it!

I just fished up my little sample of this and OMG I need a bottle (wich is so pretty) I'll definitely be getting a bottle.

This perfume on me is a like a grown up classy kind of vanilla mixed with orange blossom with hints of sandalwood and faint white flowers...I've gotten lot of random compliments anytime I've worn this perfume.

Longevity and sillage are both moderate on me.

This is one of those perfumes that you have to get acquainted with. The first time I tried it, I got whiffs of something beautifully sweet and airy, almost like tendrils of white chocolate being warmed up, but there was a bitterness that I found a bit too much. However, I decided to give it a few more chances, as that elusive creamy sweetness was just mind-blowing. After a few tries, just like getting to know someone better may make you really enjoy their company, I started to really enjoy L'Eclat's company.

I will not lie, the bergamot and orange blossom notes are a bit bitter but then the flowers, vanilla, and sandalwood emerge, and it is just delightful. It's like a lazy country morning breakfast. Start with your Mimosa, sit out on the porch to enjoy those first rays of sunshine as the fragrant flowers surround you, then go back in for a white chocolate latte for that bit of sweetness you crave.

An amazing bottle first of all.
As for the scent? It opens with a whiff of dusty iris of the LVEB genre, that only lasts for a couple of minutes. After that, orange blossom and vanilla are gradually added, and till the drydown L’eclat is a dupe for Armani Code and its variations.
I find it beautiful but not original.
It also smells very similar to Bolvaint’s first fragrance, Lyreae (not in the database) that is also a Code dupe (even better in my opinion) currently selling on ebay for little.
Overall, La Vie est Belle L’eclat is not really a member of the extensive LVEB family, feels more like Lancome’s attempt to jump on the candied orange blossom bandwagon, with a fabulous bottle and a fun, sweet perfume. It’s nice.
