Lavandes Trianon by Lancôme is a Floral Fruity Gourmand fragrance for women and men. Lavandes Trianon was launched in 2016. Lavandes Trianon was created by Olivier Gillotin and Shyamala Maisondieu.

"Today, Lancôme has appointed some of the greatest contemporary perfumers to pay homage to Lancôme’s founder, Armand Petitjean. The result is Maison Lancôme's new collection of fragrances that so exquisitely touch upon and carry on Petitjean’s dream, and the essence of the House itself.

This new High Perfumery experience takes a creative stance: the very French art of blending. Each fragrance is crafted in the same manner that one composes a wine of the most superior grade (Grand cru), with a combination of varieties, origins, and extractions that are all specially selected according to precise criteria." - a note from the brand.

After pining for this fragrance, I finally found a decent sized sample that I've been working through. And I am rather disappointed. I wish I got the lavender-petals-floating-in-milk thing that other people are smelling, because that is not what this smells like on my skin. Lavandes Trianon is missing the cozy, elegant vanilla that beautifully envelopes and complements the lavender like in Mon Guerlain. It is rather cold and unnatural, almost metallic. It is lactonic...like butter. Lavender and butter does not smell good together. I do believe this fragrance may smell great on other people, but on me, it is very flat.

A fragrance friend was kind to swap this fragrance. I received a 5 ml sample. This is a beautiful milky lavender scent. I’m not into lavender in fragrances , but this is so smooth and milky , it doesn’t bother me at all. Shame Lancôme discontinued the most beautiful fragrances from this line. They’re now just pushing out boring rose scents. If anybody in Europe is wanting to let their bottle go, please contact me.

Creamy_ambrette

No sweetness whatsoever. Creamy, milky muted lavender but the camphorous qualities of the lavender come through the warm milky notes. I really wanted to love this but I feel it needs some sweetness to balance it out. I have a half full 100ml. I think I might sell it
Edit: I wore it a few more times and I’m falling in love with it. The warmth of skin is what brings out the sweetness of this fragrance.
I imagine a pot of cream, sprigs of lavender and vanilla pods on a stove top.
While cool, the lavender is slightly medicinal and camphorous. As the cream warms up, the inherit sweetness of the cream and vanilla starts to fill up the room. All the ingredients deepen and become sweeter and richer. The end result is a dense pot de cream, slight nutty from caramelization. The dry down reminds me a lot of Guerlain Vanille Planifolia Extrait 21- not nearly as potent but very similar. Lavandes has fantastic siliage and longevity.
Never make a decision right away!!

Wow, Lavandes Trianon is unusual and pretty! My friend Sarah sent me a little dabber of this, and on first spray I smelled lavender very distinctly, as one might imagine, and also loads of vanilla, but also a strangely indefinable accord that smells for all the world like hot buttered movie theater popcorn to me. It's definitely what I would call a gourmand lavender--much more so than Mon Guerlain or Mon Guerlain Intense, I'd say, and more so than YSL Libre, too. This dries down to a very delicious semi-skin scent, all smoky vanilla and lavender blossom (rather than the crushed leaves). I read some reviews that suggested this is herbaceous or medicinal, but I don't get that at all. It's not like Lovely, for instance, which is much more like a traditional fougère to me. To me the lavender reads as very floral rather than herbaceous, and the green notes that I'm picking up are vaguely balsamic, a combination of the lavender and the "milk" notes I suppose.

I find this unexpectedly addictive, and I keep sniffing the hand where I applied it. It seems pretty potent and aromatic with a few drops, so I can only imagine how a full-on spray would perform. I know this is difficult to find now, so I am especially grateful to get to smell it. I am becoming a major fan of Shyamala Maisondieu--I'm also crazy about her Tender Light for Estee Lauder. All the fragrances I have smelled from her are clean and feminine, sweet but not cloying, and often unexpectedly good performers despite being transparent and multilayered.

Update: It's not in the Fragrantica database yet, but Lavender Fields by Dua Brand is a reasonably close "impression" of this fragrance. (Other Dua dupes are in the database, so I don't think it's being excluded for that reason--it just came out, though, so maybe that's why it's not in the database yet.) Even if you think dupes are ethically bankrupt, it's surely a less grievous infraction when the duped perfume has been discontinued and is difficult to find unless you're willing to drop a few hundred bucks on perfume that might not have been stored properly. The Dua dupe, Lavender Fields, might not be exactly identical--those delectable buttery popcorn notes aren't as apparent--but it smells close enough to scratch the itch. Obviously, if I had a magic wand, I would just make more of that magical Lavandes Trianon show up in my designated vial, but this is really the next best thing. I'm glad they're keeping this unusual beauty alive, even if the house of Lancôme didn't choose to keep it going.

One fragrance that is not a dupe of Lavandes Trianon but reminds me of it somehow is Tender Light, a fragrance in the Estee Lauder luxury line designed by one of the noses behind Lavandes Trianon, Shyamala Maisondieu; that one has iris where this one has lavender (although iris plays a strong supporting role), and altogether less of a gourmand-vanilla aspect, but it has a similar radiant transparency, I think. Both are soft but not weak, feminine but not insipid. I'm a fan.

ginandrice

I find the lavender here so shrilly sweet, and so intensely powdery, that it completely upstages the lactonic accord. I get almost nothing lactonic from this at all, just a powder-wall of softly peppery lavender, on a base of smooth, neutral vanilla.

It's a very sweet fragrance, but flat, chalky—like stale vanilla shortbread, heavily dusted with lavender-infused icing sugar.

If you are someone who enjoys, or even seeks out lavender in fragrances, then your perception of Lavandes Trianon will likely be more favorable than mine. But my nose's relationship with lavender is hit and miss, and oh boy, this is a miss. The lavender here is simply too much and too little at the same time. It's just not for me.

mellyv1973

Sweet, delicious lavender with a creamy/lactonic touch. So yummy & comforting.

Eaudeparfumhungry

I know some here have a very strong dislike for The Dua Brand, but please hear me out. They recently created a fragrance called Lavender Fields and it is an exceptional dupe of Lancôme’s Lavandes Trianon. They’re currently having a an excellent sale, and you can get a one ounce bottle for $33.

Cherry Bloom

I absolutely adore this fragrance! It completely satisfies my apetite for sugared vanilla without smelling like vanilla sugar powder. The lavender note gives it some freshness but after a few hours it stays on me in a fluffy sweet bubble, with lavender note staying in the background barely noticeble. I feel also a nutty facet which I don't really like but it's too beautiful to let this small aspect diminish my love!

missmaddiemac

I love this scent! I wear it to bed and it's sooooooo comforting. It's hard to imagine a better note profile to help you fall asleep (lavender, vanilla, warm milk). I usually wear it layered with VC&A Orchidée Vanilla for more balance. It's likable, I used to work in beauty for two years and my coworkers all liked this one when I'd have them smell it on my wrist. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous and I will never understand why this and most (if not all?) of Maison Lancome fragrances have been discontinued. So many of them are beautiful to me. This one I'd say is my favorite though. I don't find it too similar to Mon Guerlain but I'd say that it's most similar to Mon Guerlain Sensuelle from that line in that it's creamy, smooth, and warm.

KiikiKiiki

Dua just created their version of this and it’s currently retailing for $33. Grab it!

If anyone is looking for a replacement DUA just remade the scent.

I wanted to love this so much! But I'm a bit relieved I don't... So I put this on for bed, my first time ever wearing this, and it smells like the lavender and coumarin that are in Mon Guerlain and its flankers. But there's this added fishiness that bugs me! It smells like someone was wearing Mon Guerlain while cleaning some fish. I kid you not. This was so disappointing, but I'm glad that I don't have to splurge on this. For reference: dabber vial sample was used.

SalmonicMonarch

I do sell one bottle of it. If someone is interested in please DM me. I am based in the UK.

AquaBaby5

If you want a candle that smells similar to this (and is also a beast) try Simply Curated Vanilla Lavender based in the US. You’re welcome.

This was too much for me when I tried it a couple years ago, but I do like it more as a cozy home scent via the candle listed above.

Lcprickett

Bring. It. Back. 😩

MsNinaBird

I can see why others love this and I really wanted to love it but unfortunately not for me. There is some note in here that is also shared with YSL Libre Intense and Killian Angel’s Share that really doesn’t work for me.

I have a full bottle for sale at a good price if anyone is interested!

d_silent_one

OMG, this gets so sickly sweet, it's revolting. Don't get me wrong, it is very nice for those who typically like very sweet perfumes. It smells good, but the sweetness threshold has been surpassed for me with this one. It's the laconic quality that gives me that queasy feeling. I had the big bottle and had to sell it.

myperfumepassion

Beautiful lactonic fragrance. The opening is amazing and it is where I get the most lavender and vanilla. After the first hour, I mostly get the milk and vanilla, this combination to me smells like sweet liquorice.

PerfumeCloudAngel

Anyone in the UK willing to share a sample? Thanks

DebiL1211

In August 2019 I received a decant of this fragrance. As soon as I sprayed it I hated it but I kept it. Fast forward to 2022. I pulled it out a few months ago to try again and fell in love with it. I get that herbal medicinal note for 30 seconds after I spray and then it becomes a slightly sweet creamy lavender vanilla scent. As it warms on my skin I get a warm milk note with that creamy lavender vanilla scent. It stays close to the skin which is fine with me and I can still smell it 6 hours later. Now I found a full bottle and couldn't be happier.

PGak

I adored this when I first purchased this. Then I smelled YSL Libre Intense. I still love Lavandes Trianon but I now save it for myself. This is calming and cozy and I love falling asleep engulfed in its cloud. It is like warm lavendar infused milk with a hint of sweetness. For those of you who can’t get your hands on this, YSL Libre intense is pretty similar (and is far more universal whereas Lavandes Trianon is unique/Niche/not safe to blind buy). YSL Libre Intense has the same lavender but on a base of heavy thick sweet vanilla (instead of the milk) cut with a really soft sweet orange in the opening that is almost unnoticeable in the dry down leaving you with a deeply thick sweet lavender-vanilla fragrance. I adore both but wear them for different settings. Lavandes Trianon is my cozy bedtime scent and Libre Intense is when I'm out and want to draw people in.

jassca99

Starts off very soft, beautiful, milky with sweetness, and then the lavender shows up more. Even with the arrival of the lavender, the overall scent starts intimate but projects with longer wear for me. The performance in this creeps up on you, so definitely don’t overdo it as the buttery, sugary, milk is dense. This reminds me of a newborn and their mother. It is comforting but linear. A vanilla butter biscuit dipped in milk but you’re wearing clean clothes washed in lavender detergent. At the same time, this is not fresh to me at all, the vanilla blends so well with the lavender and turns this slightly gourmand. I can’t wait to layer this with my coffee fragrances! This will now be what I reach for when I’m at home instead of using up my other fragrances more suited for outside activities. If you’re not a fan of lactones, you probably will not like this as this is VERY milky.

Chocobaby

I’m languishing in a cloud of fuzzy creamy vanilla with the slightest hint of lavender. Lavender is typically a challenging note for me and I would’ve passed on this normally. However, after reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try. And I’m so glad I did. Such a comforting soft fluffy scent.

fanntonyoscar

This fragrance pulled completely masculine on my skin, and there was no sweetness to it whatsoever. I really shouldn’t have had such high expectations that something could beat MG Intense. I don’t get what others reviewers have reported, although their descriptions are exactly the type of lavender vanilla fragrance I was hoping for (with the rich sweetness of a sugared crystalline lavender vanilla). This was not my experience at all. Maybe I got a bad sample and I need to try it again later… but this smells like a saltier, sweaty, animalic version of AG’s REM.

clairesque

Holy god this is STRONG. Extremely prominent lavender, and the milk note comes across more like butter to me, it's so heavy and thick. The fragrance smells like lavender shortbread cookies. But not in a good way. Imagine if the concentrated essence of a lavender shortbread cookie was beamed directly into your nostril by a high-powered laser... that's what Lavandes Trianon is like to me.

CiCiGourmand

The most PERFECT lactonic fragrance ever!!! It truly does smell like a vanilla milkshake and little like milk on a baby's breath. It's all about the milk note in this beautiful fragrance followed by the crystalized Vanilla. On my skin the lavender is toned down and doesn't come across as medicinal at all and it last for hours. So far I've worn it on its own and also paired with Black Opium for the coffee note.

Cyn_Belle

Lavandes Trianon is the most magical fragrance in an equally beautiful bottle. I thoroughly enjoy wearing this every time. It literally smells as the note pyramid suggests: a milky, vanilla (triple dose of it) and lavender dream. Very similar to Mon Guerlain but lactonic & sweeter because of the milk with a heavy dose of vanilla.

My absolute favourite fragrance from the Maison Lancome line. I had to hunt down a back up bottle of this seeing as it’s discontinued. I’d love to have this in my collection forever if I can help it.

Scent: 10/10. A sweetened lavender, a perfect blend to me.
Longevity: 10/10 excellent - this lasts all day well into the evening on me, upwards of 8+ hours.
Projection: 12/10, incredible, can easily fill a room so can’t overspray.

aynala216

Ah, Lavandes Trianon. How I longed to purchase you at a humane price. Finally, I gave in and shelled out the coins, expecting the ground underneath my feet to quake. I opened you, sprayed you on my wrist, softly inhaled with a smile to a great whiff of........Raid.

I tried. Over and over again to remotely like this. No milk, no vanilla, just an overwhelming smell of bug spray. I can't.

MissIvy

Fragrantica describes this as a "Floral Fruity Gourmand." Lol, um what's that now? I don't understand where the fruitiness is suppose to come from when the notes are listed as milk, lavander and vanilla? Seriously, sometimes I just can't even with this website. This is lavander and vanilla. And that's it. Ok it's definitely got a milky creaminess to it so the milk note is fair. Simple, yet masterful. It's a vanilla sugar cookie sprinkled with lavander. It's an absolute stunner of a fragrance. My only complaint being I wish it lasted longer and projected more. $250 for a bottle than is barely more than a whisper on the skin and not much better on clothes. Love the scent, but the performance is abysmal. Shocking since the others in this line seem to be beast modes.

AubreeRichelle

Omg this is Soooo Good! Lavender is a tricky note for me. It can come across too masculine or too soapy. But this is perfect, to me it smells like whipped cream with a feminine (not screechy at all) Lavender. This is very similar to Mon Guerlain, but a lactonic spin.

buster21

I have it and love it. If anyone is interested in letting theirs go, please PM me.

Amour, Michele

It's crazy that people think this smells like Mon Guerlain. I could never love Mon Guerlain in any form because it's overly sweet for me and that aspect is notable. But this is just so beautiful! It's fresh but not bracing, it's comforting but not stupefying. It's very elegant but relaxed. The combination of two types of lavender gives depth and freshness to the lavender making it really unique. The official description of the "signature" note is "crystallized vanilla" and it's exactly that. What an amazingly airy and floaty vanilla note that's not powdery or overly sweet. Just perfect. The name "Lavandes Trianon" makes total sense to me. The lavender of the French countryside and the cleanliness of hand-washed linens drying in the air combined with the milkiness from the Queen's dairy and natural comfort completely evokes the bucolic leisurely fantasy of La Petite Trianon and Hameau de la Reine.

gourmandnotes

There's a kind of dry herbal/aromatic note besides the lavender that dessicates the creaminess of the lactonic and vanilla notes that makes my nose itch a bit. I see people comparing this to YSL Libre Intense which is not only a decent comparison, but also Libre Intense is far more fresher, edgier, affordable, and of course, easier to purchase since LT has been discontinued. Libre Intense packs way more throw and punch than Lavandes Trianon as well, but not everybody wants that. Both has its strengths and weaknesses. If you prefer to travel to Provence, you'd wear Lavandes Trianon. If you prefer to travel to Paris, you'd wear Libre Intense. As for Mon Guerlain... I wouldn't consider it, really.

CertifiedMoxie

I purchased a sample of this and began wracking my brain trying to figure out what this fragrance reminded me of. I knew it wasn’t another perfume, but I couldn’t place it. I walked away and came back a couple of hours later. I sprayed it again and it suddenly hit me. It smells like a purple acetone based nail polish remover I have. Anyway. I’ll pass.

Mwendi91

On my skin, this is milky vanilla mixed with lavender. The minute I sprayed this I instantly it reminded me of something I own or have sampled. This is Libre Intense when you remove the lactonic accord. As a result, this is also similar to Zara Golden Decade when you remove the lactonic notes.

kristamb

Nothing like Mon Guerlain...if anything, this reminds for of YSL Libre, but based on the "smells like" opinions from others, maybe it's just me! I was excited to try this but...eagh....not really impressed. MG and it's flankers all have my votes over this one.

fyetan

Herbal lavender start into a smooth, milky vanilla lavender cookie during drydown. Sillage is medium going to low after an hour. Beautiful as a bedtime perfume or for cuddling with a loved one.

magnolia_xx

This perfume is so soothing.
I am more into sultry flowery/spicy orientals but this fragrance is so lovely and calming.
It has lavender, vanilla and milk but in my opinion is more refined than Mon Guerlain.
Where Mon Guerlain seems to try to be a crowd pleaser, shouting "vanilla" all the time, Lavandes Trianon is gentler and greener, and it makes me feel calm and serene when I am wearing it. The vanilla smells more subdued and natural and is not cloying at all.
This perfume makes me think of Queen Marie Antoinette spending serene days at Le Petit Trianon castle, away from the crowded and stinky Versailles, before the dark times of the Revolution came to destroy her life and her loved ones'.

Olfa

Smells like bath&body works Lavender and Vanilla candle. If they have perfume of it a spot on dupe it’d be.

Digi3573

To my nose this smells identical to Mon Guerlain extreme. Which is also a cheaper alternative

DarlingLovely

A very soft, mild, and pleasant lavender. Reminds me of a lavender-infused baked treat!

Nanis224

I wanted to love it so much, but the milkiness is too much for me… too milky.
If anyone is interested, I am selling mine in Montreal QC for a good price, I sell it with the white cap from my iris dragée from the same collection. DM me.

Olfa

Dont get me wrong but as a person who loves Lavander in fragrances and vanilla, what is this?
This smells like raid’s insect killers or burnt lavender essential oil with powdery vanilla. But vanilla is not sweet. It is a spice and theres only smoothness of it. Still there’s an accord in it that makes it very likable (but I still have issues as I said)

Last edit: after wearing it couple of times I even considered buying a bottle.
*I may have an allergic reaction to this type of Lavender so...

WAIT A MIN.
It grew on me when I sprayed it outside rather than sampling it on my skin for a day.
So during the day the sweet vanilla scent combined with comforting powdery lavender was very comforting like a baby in a cocoon.

Hammyt100

I can't even convey how much I love this. It starts out with a very herbal lavender. Slowly and consistently throughout the day it gets more sweet until it reaches the final dry down which is SO GOOD. It's sweet, milky lavender and everytime I wear it I can't help but sniff myself.

It lasts forever, but I wouldn't say the sillage is very big. It sits closer to skin for the whole wear in my experience. This is definitely one that I wear for me. Love.

Fragancelover

En definitiva no es un perfume que utilizaría para uso diario.
Olor pronunciado a lavanda, suave pero persistente, ha sido una compra a ciegas, pero honestamente considero que está sobrevalorado.
Este perfume solo lo utilizo para dormir.

wind69

probably I am the one.. I hate it! it does have milk and a tiny amount of lavender.. Unfortunately for me, it is cookies, all right, but they are made with fish flour and stored in a metal box. I don't know how I got this out of such potentially beautiful notes. I did try it out of 3!!! different bottles! Sorry..

nikath

I adore this scent! 🦄 I have been searching for it for a long time and I am so happy that it suddenly appeared in stock online.

Lavandes Trianon is a beautifully blended mix of lavender and vanilla that somehow smells crystallized, as the brand’s description of the vanilla note. Lavender can sometimes be sharp, medical or masculine but it is perfectly balanced in this scent. There is definitely some caramel in here too. I don’t love the immediate herbal opening when you apply the fragrance but it disappears within minutes when the milky vanilla & caramel come to play. I will cherish this to the last spritz and I truly hope they re-release this wonderful scent.

carmenandmonkey

I was very curious to try this because I love all things lavender (essential oil, ice cream, London fogs, cookies, tea, just smelling the dried buds). I like smelling this periodically but don't think I could wear this the whole day. I think its because the lavender note is quite sharp, persistent and dare I say cloying? I find the lavender to be more towards the medicinal, camphorous, herbal side and stand alone could be good as drops in a bath. So I can only conclude that its that herbaceousness mixed with the sweet vanilla milk that not settling right with me. Its like eating a shortbread cookie with a lavender London fog but then someone put went ahead and added a whole teaspoon of lavender/lavindin essential oil to it.

JSpines

This is beautiful.
I was scared/nervous when I ordered this blindly because a lot of the reviews here reported a realistic, herbal lavender, something likened to an essential oil. I don't love a pure lavender smell, even in a lavendar bar of soap, I always prefer it alongside something else, preferrably vanilla.
This perfume is not cheap (even though I did get it for a decent price) so I felt like I was taking a risk by ordering it before I had smelled it but luckily for me, my experience was a positive one.
My fears were put to rest upon first spritz. It is a realistic lavender scent but I didn't find it tremendously herbal or medicinal (thankfully.) The lavender is perfectly tempered with a creamy, fluffy sugar-coated vanilla. It's as if someone had baked a vanilla cake and thrown a handful of dried lavender in the batter, then as it bakes it gives off this soothing, comforting, calming aroma which makes you feel zen.
It's strength and lasting power wasn't an issue for me. I could smell it all day on myself and when I awoke in the morning, I could still smell it.
This fragrance is ethereal and altogether magical.
I am an anxious person by nature and I was hoping this scent might help tone that down a little. I'm happy to report that it did.
I am enamored with this beauty and will treasure each and every drop.

perfumeshewrote

The lavender, which Maison Lancôme reports as Absolue and Essence, is very realistic, herbaceous, dry and aromatic. For some reason, I seem to smell tea leaves, like tea leaves mixed with lavender. Nowhere, however, is this note reported and it may be that I only feel lavender in a particularly realistic way.

The vanilla notes come slowly, gently. It almost seems as if someone is heating a vanilla milk near you and, as the temperature increases, the aroma and smell gets more and more prominent.

The delicacy and transparency of this note that Maison Lancome calls “crystallized vanilla” is incredible. Forget about synthetic and cloying vanilla. This is delicate, comfortable, milky. Let's be honest, this is a rich$ vanilla.

Beware if you don't like lavender as it's strong, almost essential oil like.

Dorientje

Available on fragrancebuy.ca for people in Canada and US. I live in Ireland and used a forwarding company to be able to get it delivered where I live.

ParisSirap

Hey Everyone!!!!!! Go to frangrance buy dot ca. I just bought a bottle! please just buy one bottle so that everyone can buy a bottle. :)

ErinlyT

This fragrance is showing up on the Lancome Canada website, albeit it shows currently as “out of stock”. I’m not sure if they had it in stock recently and I missed it, or they’ve just added the fragrance back to the website in anticipation of a re-stock. I check the lancome.ca website fairly frequently because I love this line, and Lavandes Trianon being on the site is new within the last month or so. So maybe it’s not discontinued after all?! Hopefully it hasn’t been reformulated while it’s been “away”!

childrensafe2013

If anyone want to sell their bottle please send me a message :)

hsiangchi.huang

Reminds me a lot of TF Lavender Extreme (~80% similar in the drydown). This is a sweet milky lavender earl grey latte, that opens up like a mixture between Libre by YSL and TF Lavender Extreme, and you get more of the latter as it dries down. It's NOTHING like Mon Guerlain, which I dislike (too warm and cloying). Also, great performance!

So far my fav out of the entire Maison Lancome line. And of course, they always discontinue the best...

My ranking of the Maison Lancome line:
1. Lavandes Trianon (10/10)
2. Jasmin Marzipan (7/10)
3. Iris Dragees (6/10)
4. Rose Berberanza (5/10)
5. Parfait de Rose (4/10)
6. Oud Bouquet (3/10)

NicoleET88

I did NOT like this in my first few tests, because at first glance this was nothing but Aquolina Gold Sugar with the neroli swapped out for lavender, to me. THICK creme brulee with a sharp, chemical noxiousness reminiscent of bug spray, and scorchingly sweet. My issue with Lavandes wasn't the sweetness, though...it was (ridiculously enough) the lavender. It's just not what I was expecting. It didn't smell like the lavender my mother grew in our front yard, or the essential oil I use in my diffuser, or the lavender of Mon Guerlain, or the Bath and Body Works candle in my bathroom, or the Yankee candle on my dresser... It smelled harsh and medicinal. But worse than medicinal...it smelled poisonous to me. It was only after repeated attempts to understand this fragrance that I realized Lavandes Trianon must 1) be worn in cooler temperatures, and 2) be applied farther away from the body and with more even dispersion, which eliminates the chemical sting of the lavender. In Lavandes Trianon, the lavender of it's namesake is potent, even to the point of being concentrated, and requires the same respect one should give to an "essence." It has to be diluted (by air and time) in order to really open and come into it's own.

What ultimately makes this scent wearable for me is the vanilla milk, which takes predominance as the perfume dries down. "Crystalline" is a perfect descriptor for the dry shimmer of sweetness here. It's not cloying or sticky, it's just a dusting...but it sparkles. And the vanilla here is refined and balanced, not the cheap, oily artifice of lesser scents, but more of a dry floral vanilla that lends a subtle perfume of it's own, rather than functioning as an aggressive primary "flavor." The milk note here is subtle also, not creamy or thick, but still smooths and cuts bitterness the way a splash will cut the bitterness of strong black tea. This milk also has that almost nutty, caramelized tone that comes from letting it come to a boil, and one might imagine steeping dried lavender and vanilla pods inside. It gentles the bite of the lavender, tempers the sweetness of sugar, and gives the delicate vanilla an anchor to hold onto. I'm envisioning VERY good things next fall, when the temperature is low enough to let this wrap me up like a shawl.

Final word: This and Mon Guerlain aren't similar at all to my nose, and in hindsight that misdirection of expectation may have been what caused some of my initial confusion. These are 2 totally different fragrances that don't even seem to center on the same kind of lavender. Mon Guerlain also blends theirs with rose and jasmine, and while these additional two florals are more subdued than the lavender, they do lend a very distinctive "bouquet" to the mix. The Guerlain is also tart, quite obviously "brighter" and almost juicy at times, while to me, Lavandes Trianon is much more of a "deep" scent and only ever as moist as a cookie fresh from the oven. But in my opinion, the biggest difference in the feel of the two is that Mon Guerlain smells like a bottled fragrance. While cloaked in Lavandes Trianon, instead of being asked, "what perfume are you wearing," I imagine the dialogue would first start off with, "...are you wearing perfume?" Because once it's settled this smells like a scent a person might simply end up with after baking sophisticated lavender pastries all day. As a former gourmand lover with a now aching sweet tooth, this represents the *perfect* proximity to dessert.

Oh how I wish I had you in my life :(

Perfume Beginners

I am finally able to find a decant of the scent and I love it. So sad it is discontinued. If anyone doesn't want his/her bottle anymore, please message me.

Joani_Cheddar

I smell - A very light fine vanilla boudoir powder (the kind that is for foreplay, meeeow) made of carnation powdered milk and scented with lavender and some nuttiness. EXTREMELY similar to Mon Guerlain but more dainty; this scent is sweet and powdery. Personally I would purchase Mon Guerlain for the cheaper (yet not so cheap) price tag vs this perfume. But this is a beauty.

Siv7Stars

I tend to really like milky things n I have several Mon Guerlains so presumed I would love this. Good job I decided to get a sample first.. this is a weird one.. the milk comes through VERY strongly on me n I don't think it's very pleasant. It's like hot milk on a stove gone a bit wrong, like it's perilously close to being off. It's interesting, I don't loathe it, but I certainly don't like it enough to want to part with 150 quid.
Addendum: I've lived with it a bit more n terrifyingly for my bank balance, it's growing on me.. there is something that reminds of babies as it dries down.. I mean I guess that was inevitable.. I may end up buying it out of sentimentality alone.

tandem_4x4

It could be the best Mon Guerlain flanker :-)

melo14609

Wonderful scent! Long lasting, I can’t see myself getting through two bottles. Thinking about selling my backup if one anyone is interested, message me for details.
*Edit* Thank you for all of the inquiries! The backup is sold. I have seen some bottles floating around on popular re-sell sites recently.

Tropicat28

If you missed out on this one try Thymes Lavender Honey and layer it with Yves a Rocher Bourbon Vanilla. Notes are Lavender, Amber Honey, Heliotrope, Golden Tonka Bean and Atlas Cedarwood. I have and love both.

Gia1913

Bought this last year, without knowing that it would be discontinued. I'm glad I have it, but I won't be feeling sad when I finish it ( that's if I do finish it).

Lavender, vanilla, sweetness, creamy, it's a beautiful mix. You need to be a gourmand lover for this one. A vanilla sweet milk with an opening of sweet lavender biscuit.

Guerlain Mon Guerlain definitely draw a 90% comparison; the Guerlain one is more floral however, and distinctively different at the end. If you have Mon guerlain, then you shouldn't feel too sad that it's hard to get your hands on this one now. If you have Lavandes Trianon, then congrats! It is a keeper for your collection.

Update 1: I might retract what I previously said about not being sad when I finish it. Wearing it during the winter time gives it so much life! the lavender and vanilla mix so so well and gives you a big hug. Guerlain does not give you this feeling. I might start looking for a backup bottle now.

***Anyone selling or swapping a bottle please PM me!! (located in the US, but will pay international shipping potentially)***

Beautiful and quite reminiscent of Mon Guerlain and Mon Guerlain Sensuelle. No, they are not identical. If you are in love with Mon Guerlain, this one is definitely worth picking up. If you simply like the facets of Mon Guerlain--but are not in love with it--this may be worth skipping, since it is discontinued. Is it redundant to have both? Probably, but I'm sure most of us have redundancies in our wardrobes. This is a softer (yet well projecting!) version of Mon Guerlain. It is creamier, smoother, milkier, and just more well-rounded. I am in love with this one, and I was not in love with Mon Guerlain, only a strong like (here I am completely contradicting what I said above lol). However, I still probably wouldn't pay the discontinued price of these bottles. I really do want a bottle though. It is quite lovely and so so comforting.

Allisonmsmith22

Smells just like the vanilla lavender candle from B&BW! I love those candles very much and while this is truly beautiful, it's just not something I want to smell like.

I prefer spraying this on my sheets and blankets! Very cozy!

KayleeAp

Quality fragrance, but not for me. I am glad that I purchased a decant of this to test. This one has such glowing reviews, and indeed, if you can get your nose on it, it is worth trying. You must be a lavender lover for this one. The vanilla and sweet milky facets of this are absolutely delicious, comforting and lovely. The lavender pulls too strong and herbal for me though, and in the deep dry down, turns into pepper. Some fragrances have a note that turns into a dominating pepper and my nose can't stand it. This is exactly what happened here. I am relieved that I don't need to hunt this one down. I was worried I missed out :)

Beautiful

The words creamy and buttery get thrown around a lot for fragrances which do not smell anything near it. Its frustrating reading and watching some reviews!

However this is the definition of a milky creamy buttery scent

This is delicate caramel butter cookies and hot sweet baby milk with a minuscule drop of lavender. Its like the smell of a baby’s breath after milk feeding mixed with the the distant whiff of fresh washed laundry.

Its unlike any other perfume and smells comforting nostalgic and vaguely melancholy

I am sad it’s discontinued because its unique and should be treasured like an antiquity! All of the maison lancome line bottles are exquisite and my favourite perfume bottles ever.

However! .....,saying that I just sold my bottle on ebay as its too much for me and I never wear it and someone can enjoy it more.

Annabear

I blind bought LT and after trying it for the first time I thought that the lavender was too medicinal and loud for me and that if I had sampled it first, I wouldn’t have bought it.
I’ve worn it a couple of times since, it’s winter in Sydney right now so I’m sharing my experience of this fragrance worn in cold weather.
Today was marginally warmer, which seemed to trigger the creamy element of LT to come to the fore. I feel this is a marriage between Mon Guerlain and L’Instant de Guerlain.
Anyway I definitely liked it much better today, projects well, lasts for a reasonable time. I get wafts of it throughout the day (it’s 6pm so still going strong since 9am). Any fragrance that I can discern on myself for that long has my vote.
Recommended.

I've owned all the popular "womanly"(?) lavender players at this point (Chanel, Guerlain, Lancome) and I gotta say this one really doesn't settle well on me, which came as a big surprise since I've loved lavender way before it became a trendy note. Unfortunately to me Lavandes Trianon reminds me intensely of the lavender EO yoga mat cleanser my yoga studio provides. The lavender here is intensely herbal, very camphorous, and to my poor nose it never mixed with the sweet vanilla. It's as if two opera singers are singing at the top of their lungs while facing away from each other. I couldn't smell the harmony.

I had to let my bottle go to a better home where it will be appreciated more.

My favourite posh feminine lavender remains Chanel Jersey, but for those that find it too quiet, do try YSL's Libre. Guerlain's Mon Exclusif is a far better constructed lavander gourmand IMO.

halalula1234

Aromatic soothing lavender like the ones in Mon Guerlain and Chanel's Jersey over a delectable gourmand base which resembles Werther's Originals Caramel Creme candy drops !! Super buttery, smooth, creamy, and lactonic... even slightly salty in a salted caramel sort of vibe.

Almost reminds me a saltier/salted caramel and not so sweet version of Mon Guerlain and a less aromatic and more gourmand/buttery, viscous, and less breezy version of Jersey.

Silage on my skin and clothing was soft-moderate
Longevity was was moderate with silage becoming weaker and weaker as time goes by.

This is a very well composed fragrance with quality ingredients, I'm not sure if it's just olfactory fatigue or the nature of these notes and/or combination/composition of them but if I could give a feedback I would love for it to be more potent and longer lasting. It is not a cheap fragrance so therefore a little more potency would be a great improvement however It seems to have been discontinued according to a lot of the comments on here. If they do ever bring it back I hope they make it a little stornger!

bmonkey

I thought I would love it based on the notes, but I didn’t.
I have a full bottle available if anyone is interested

*Update: I already sold my bottle. Thank you to everyone who reached out.

diaanz81

Very much a gourmand, it smells like a delicious warm vanilla lavender milkshake! The vanilla and milky notes are strong and dominant in the opening but over time it recedes letting lavender take center stage, bringing more balance to the composition. It's not listed but once the vanilla softens I can detect an almost musky note. I do prefer the scent once it has settled into my skin for a while. It has great longevity and projection is moderate to strong. This was a hard one to get my hands and nose on because it has been discontinued I believe and I blind bought it based on a lot of reviews. I am happy to own it and it was worth the time I spend scouring the internet for it.

bmonkey

I found a bottle on Amazon but I am afraid I might have bought a fake. How can I check to make sure I got the authentic perfume?

shereen.sherif

I love this one.. so sad it’s discontinued. I could only find it on the official Lancôme’s website. This is for me a creamy sweet version of Mon Guerlain which I do love a lot and it’s easily one of my favorites. I think this would become one of my favorites as well. I’d say it’s more for the fall/ winter season or for the chilly summer nights. But I absolutely love it.. so afraid I won’t find it anymore on the Lancôme’s website so I am thinking of getting a backup bottle.

Aw01

I cannot believe they discontinued this. This is a BEAUTIFUL lavender scent. I’ve been trying to hunt down a full bottle since I smelled it and I just finally got it but paid a pretty penny for it. It’s worth it to me because this is just exquisite. I’m calling this my official quarantine scent because that is when I discovered this and it’s brought me so much peace.

ladypicky

Beautiful scent ,

I cannot get enough of this ,Very addictive and very unique.

To my nose it's a well blended bitter/cold lavander with creamy Vanilla-milk.

The more I use it the more I enjoy it.Specially on rainy days.

I got lots of compliments.

It stays about solid 4 hours on my skin with moderate projection with 4 sprays. and 12 hours on the clothes.

I had a small bottle and I just bought a big one too...(already thinking about a backup bottle just in case !)

It's very soothing and calming.

Swedelish

This was a blind buy and not my finest. To me it smells like a lot sugary sweet designer releases. If I was blindfolded I'd guess there was almond or pistachio, vanilla, musk and some dry, bitter herb like basil or thyme. I'm missing the promise of intense herbal lavander, which I hoped would counteract any overload of milk & sugar. It's definitely sweet. Too sweet for me. If there is lavender it's not a lavender I'm accustomed to. I own and love Mon Guerlain and it's got much more of that familiar soothing lavander.

Additionally, there's something very unsettling about the way it develops on my skin. It starts off mildly bitter, green herbal and very sweet. In the mid there's a burnt sugar thing going on, like overcooked toffee. The milk note makes it tangy & metallic and it stays this way until the end. I've worn it several times and I can't make myself want to keep testing it further. I'll be finding a new home for it.

Its lasting power doesn't disappoint, which made it harder to get the scent off my skin.

I should have used better judgment knowing that milk as a note 9/10 doesn't work for me. It was on my want list and then it got discontinued, so that propelled the urge to blind buy it when I found a bottle. I am glad I got to properly wear it and see for myself what the buzz was about. It just isn't my kind of scent. Jasmins Marzipane remains queen of the Maison Lancome line and Parfait De Roses is princess.

panda-inc

I LOVE this. To me, this smell better on my skin than Mon Guerlain. So creamy and delicious.

nativelocal

This fragrance for me is the epitome of comfort. I remember Demi Rawling describing this as a sugar cookie dipped in lavender infused milk, and this is honestly very spot on. The lavender is obviously very prominent and quite aromatic, but it's beautifully balanced with the milk/vanilla/sugar combo so that it doesn't come off as either too herbal/medicinal or too cloyingly sweet. Deliciously stunning scent. Unfortunately it's discontinued, but I've seen people getting their hands on bottles via the discounters so definitely keep your eyes on those sites if you're looking for one!

ntabassum92

I purchased a decant of this beautiful perfume from someone on Fragrantica before I knew it had been discontinued, and I am so glad I got to try this. Lavande Trianon is such a unique, gorgeous scent. Full of fresh, dry, aromatic lavender. The lavender itself is not sweet, but is definitely mixed with some delicious sugary milky creamy notes. It's like a lavender doughnut or pound cake. As it dries on my skin it becomes a little less doughy and chewy and more smooth, like a steamer infused with lavender. A steamer is a hot milk mixed with honey or sweetener and flavored syrups, and smelling this really makes me want one.

For how strange a milky perfume could be, this is a people pleaser, probably because it's so comforting. I got a compliment on this fragrance the other day when I wore it. It slightly disappears from my perception when I wear it, but other people can definitely smell it. Well done, Maison Lancome!

Jacklyn's Perfumery

Update: I finally got this though it's discontinued..This is so lovely and you will smell way more than my small decant could offer. This is for those gourmand lovers who love Mon Guerlain and those lavender type fragrances. With Mon Guerlain it's more like a lavender Flowerbomb that is why it has so much going on with Mon Exclusif as the best version but that has been discontinued, but I love Trianon more. With Lavandes Trianon man this is all about that vanilla milk creamy base mixed with lavender and crystallized sugar. When you first spray this it's very bold and creamy and then it calms down but I love that they used milk in this because it gives such a nice added affect with the vanilla. If you love milk and vanilla I suggest you at least test this it's worth a sniff.

As this gets to the mids I swear I smelled a slight bit of the same jasmine as in Alien which surprised me so this turns a little bit floral for a short time with the creaminess but as it dries more down to the base it really does focus more on the lavender vanilla milk base. I love this so much because it is so creamy and dense like a lavender creamy dessert. Like a nice light sweet trail.Very pretty & gourmand! Still going strong for a long time on my skin I keep getting wafts from my neck..

Final Update: sprayed it on after 1pm and could still smell it at around 11pm and it kept going so the longevity on skin and clothes is great especially when heat rises. It's calming, gentle and long-lasting..performance isn't an issue for the one's I've collected from the Maison Lancome line..but each of them perform differently so please do test them first!

AquaBaby5

When I first learned about the Maison Lancôme fragrances last year I bought this from Neimans during their $50 off $200 sale. I typically love lavender and vanilla and I thought this would be a safe blind buy. But Nope! This was very sharp lavender to me with a sickly sweet vanilla milk. It is just not my thing at all. Mon Guerlain took me time to love but I prefer it so much more, the sweetness is strong in that fragrance but not cloying like this was. Thankfully the SA at Neimans allowed me to return as I could only find it online. I have since grown to love and purchase some of the other Maison Lancôme fragrances.

Sabretoothkitten

I agree with the poster below that I enjoy different lavender fragrances...but this just might be my #1. Not as sharp as Lovely and not as sweet as Mon Geurlain...also not as masculine as many aromatics tend to be. This is lavender tea with honey, milk and maybe a few kisses from someone with pink lipstick.
Not too strong but decent sillage. I have trouble finding g perfumes I feel comfortable wearing at work but this is a good choice. Pretty expensive but it smells classy and not cheap like some lavender scents are reminiscent of rug cleaner.

SailorV

The more gourmand lavender fragrances I try, the more I understand how different they all are with their subtle nuances. Lancome's take on lavender and vanilla is one of the best to my nose, on par with Guerlain Mon Exclusif, but different. Not buttery and caramel-focused, but milky and creamy. And with an even stronger lavender note.

Especially the opening is dominated by lavender, which smells herbal and natural here. But underneath that is that lovely thick vanilla, almost like fresh whipped cream with added vanilla. I also sense some very subtle unlisted white floral accents in this that make Lavandes Trianon even more alluring. The overall effect is airy and soft, but intense, deliciously sweet, but not foody, simple, but very well-executed. A dreamy, fluffy cloud of comfort.

I thought I wouldn't need another fragrance in this category, but I really wish I had a bottle. If you ever thought that there should be a luxury high quality version of Lush Twilight/Sleepy, you need to try this. Similar lavender, more refined base. Just perfect.

who.am.i.you

I'm in love with this and think it is the most beautiful perfume with lavender as the main note. Oh. My. Goodness. I fell in love with this body scrub and body butter from this one small business called Witch Baby Soap. They have this scent called "Psychic," which is a lavender, amber, and vanilla scent. There are other components to it like tonka bean, myrrh, and musk. I always thought "man, I wish there was a perfume that smelled like this." I found it. It is this. Musky, smooth vanilla and lavender. I can't get enough. The only thing that will prevent me from buying it is if the longevity doesn't last. Almost an hour and a half in, however, it smells pretty much the same since the initial top notes dissipated a few minutes into the wear, so that is a huge plus in my book. Kind of difficult to do with lavender, with it being such a light fragrance. LOVE LOVE LOVE! I would also adore smelling this on a man. I feel like it would smell so sexy.

Edit: I purchased it online and got a Boxing Day discount. Saw a 65% full bottle for $100 USD on eBay, but snagged a full new bottle for only $20 more. :) Lucky day.

One last edit: It was 5.5 hours ago that I sprayed about 0.5 mL of this fragrance on the back of my wrists, nook of elbows, and neck. It is still going strong and I love the lingering scent throughout the day. I can see this being a little too much in the summer heat because of the vanilla, but maybe less would just be needed. Can't wait to try! Also, any scent that lasts over 5 hours on my skin is good in my book as I have fragrance-eating skin most of the time and for most scents.

Damask_rose

Such a comforting fragrance. I can't wait to try it out when I'm out and about tomorrow. To me, the lavender isn't overpowering at all. The vanilla (as someone who is very picky about vanilla) is bearable and works really well with the lavender.

Update: Soft sillage and projection, but the longest longevity ever.

Muzoona

Lancôme Private collection is very smart blend. Each perfume has no more than 2 main ingredients. in this perfume its bomb of Lavender and Vanilla, so smart blend that is not found in other perfumes. its so Aromatic, I used to wear it when i have a meeting in my work. its very nice for the office time.

6opar

Lavandes Trianon smells natural and thick, expensive and chic. Since I am a lavender aficionado, of course I had to have it.
At the beginning LT is a lavender syrup so potent that I expect its beautiful purple spike to grow straight from my wrist. And then there’s this strange metallic accord that sometimes confuses the experience (i don’t need a knife to cut the flower), other times just makes it even more interesting, like cow milk dripping from the lavender leaves. Vanilla is big too, but the whole composition is not a Caron PUH remake, it’s its own thing. Scary and addictive.

On a side note I love the concept of Lancome haute perfume line. Combining popular flowers, fruit and wood with sweet tropes to form a mythology of gourmand weirdoes - marzipan to jasmine, honey and nuts to rose and tuberose, Provence honey to oud, cardamom to santal…..
*****

kielo

This smells just so good. The smell of vanilla cookies with lavender. Such a treat and the fume is super beautiful and relaxing. One spray is enough as this is potent.

hedward

Today I walked past the Lancome counter at my local department store and to my surprise they had the Maison Lancome line. In Helsinki?? Who knew!

Anyway, the whole line smells really luxurious (unlike the YSL vestiaire line) and definitely packs some actual natural oils. Sprayed this, Jasmins Marzipane and L'Autre Oud on my skin. Goes without saying Jasmins Marzipane is GLORIOUS but this one I couldn't stomach. From the bottle Lavandes Trianon smelled very promising - herbal, animalic and milky. Lavender here is very traditional and in the same vein as Caron's Pour un Homme but loaded with a sickly sweet and heavy condensed milk and vanilla background. I love milk notes in perfumery (Feu d'Issey, Baiser Fou, Oxygene, XI l'Heure Perdue) but this one felt almost claustrophobic for the scent is dense as lead and louder than a raid siren. Physically this felt like forcing yourself that last piece of white chocolate even though you know you should've stopped five pieces ago. Sorry, it's a pass.

anna.voulgari1

Usually I like to wear a perfume for a while before reviewing it. I have only been wearing Lavandes Trianon for a few days but this time I wanted to register some initial impressions while they’re fresh. This scent is so elegant, feminine and lovely! The opening is fresh and floral with lavender in many shades. Then it turns into a delicate, soft, delicious scent, warm, powdery, cozy, slightly sweet. The lasting power is good, the sillage is divine.
Absolutely marvellous, one of the best vanilla lavender fragrances.

longevity: 8-10 hrs

Ghadeer540

My baby boy ,, this is very nice Niche Comfortable to the nose undebatable calming mixture,, But no one on earth would notice that you are wearing it ,, the projection so weak you are the only one who can feel And know that inside the clothes you smell so good so I highly recommend this if you’re sitting in a cosy Netflix night or before sleeping or after a shower or Even before sex because it is Gormond and sexy

DR521

This opens with a prominent lavender note and a very dry powdery vanilla which has nice presence and sillage, and a lovely tenacity. Rather linear in its development, its still a complex and appealing confectionary smell so it's a welcome switch from more challenging fragrances or as an AM fragrance. Lavandes Trianon is very relaxing, where the cool note of lavender tempers the vanilla and powder to make it both reminiscent of cleanliness, makeup, and baby powder as well as a gourmand confection that could be rock candy in a lavender tea or a lavender scented pareil (those little balls that decorate cakes that are also candies). It lasts a long while and is very satisfying as a fragrance, enveloping the wearer without being overwhelming.

I have a bottle of spike lavender from Spain that I occasionally sprinkle on my linen sheets in the evening for a relaxing sleep. Guess what. Lavandes Trianon actually smells exactly like that spike lavender after a few minutes on my sheets. This was something I was shocked to discover, because I thought for a second I had sprayed the perfume; the experience illuminated why Lavandes Trianon is much more than it appears on first glance. This is the true achievement of this perfume, that it captures the perfumery associations of the spike lavender, while simultaneously staying true to the actual smell of the essential oil. If you are a lavender connoisseur this is a really special perfume to add to the collection.

Dawnfiller

I bought this perfume directly from Lancôme website as a blind buy. I love it! It lasts 6-8 hours on my skin. Perfume projects nicely with a beautiful scent trail for 4 hours then fades to a skin scent.

A powdery creamy vanilla not too sweet with lavender. I don’t notice a milk note but this scent does have a warmth and depth that is surprising. I’m very happy I bought this perfume and want to try more Lancôme perfumes!

shushkin

If you love lavender like me then a must have. It's a delightful gourmand fragrance. Sweet, creamy lavender. No harshness whatsoever. I've got admit I was a bit worried about the milk note. It can go rancid on me!

The sweetness ease off considerably after 10 mins or so.
It is no longer particularly gourmand but lavender with a little sweetness to soften. I think this my favourite stage. I imagine lavender shortbread to smell a little like this.

I'd love wearing this on a warm summer evening. It's for me a casual scent. Very calming.

This is the perfect way for ladies to feel totally at ease wearing a lavender scent. Soft and almost cuddly!

I get good sillage and longevity which particularly impressive as lavender is usually a fast disappearing top note.

blackw0lfx

Yum! I get herbal lavender bright at first. Then the milky vanilla comes through. I agree with the user who wrote its a green vanilla. It’s not like a cake better vanilla, more like a fresh picked vanilla . The milk just adds a tad creaminess . The lavender also adds a tad spice quality in the dry down. It is so lovely and unique. It reminds me of a garden fairy. She’s all vanilla and sweet but she spends so much time in the lavender that she picks up that as well. I find it to be pretty unisex. Very flattering and could be worn business professional. All months but summer, it is sweet so in summer it could be a tad too much.

I also find the scent extremely relaxing, yet it smells like perfume. Not a candle or body soap. I’ve had other lavender / vanilla scents and this one is green and bright yet soothing and captivating.

Nicyoung

I like it. I blind bought this hoping this could be my signature because I love creamy fragrances ( my absolute favorite)but I have learned that milk does not mean creamy and I would not call this a creamy perfume at all. Its more of a vanilla lavender baby powder, with a milk note. I do like it but not as much as I had hoped. Don't get me wrong, its a beautiful scent, but more of a sachet for your pantie drawer, in the best kind of way, or an expensive lavender face moisturizer. Very pretty but doesn't really smell like a perfume. The milk note is also strong. I think I would miss it if I let it go though . A very memorable fragrance. Different.

Q80

Milky lavender it is with quite less sugar forthe vanilla. It has commercial quality and I believe it's forthose who likes lavender with milk body wash and hints of vanilla cause it soothes the body by the feelings.
Interesting.

gtabasso

I love most Lancomes and love lavender but this is sort of gross. A mashup of intense lavender. That should be the main note. This is ALL about the herbal straight up lavender oil in the top then the vanilla comes in to round it out a bit but it's still camphorous and herbal. I don't want my lavender mixed with vanilla and milk. Ugh. Lavender and lemon? Okay. So, this is like a lavender cake. Trying to be gourmand but someone spilled too much lavender in the batter.

DulciusExAsperis

An unexpected love for me. Maison Lancome makes such gorgeous scents.
I'm sampling this today and wasn't too excited about it based on the notes pyramid. I'm not a vanilla person, though I do like lavender, and milk as a note never appeals to me.

However, the lavender and vanilla intertwine in such a beautiful way. It's sexy but also dreamy and classic... I'd wear this out if I wanted to feel beautiful - but if I were feeling decadent and needed some lovely dreams, I'd also wear it to bed.
It's very simple but still somehow feels complex.

This has similarities to Mon Guerlain but I think it's more beautiful and layered. Definitely prefer this one to that.

*edited to add* ugh the milk note foils me again! I think I have to admit to myself that milk in general should just be avoided by me - it always ends up making me feel a bit nauseous. But it's so lovely before that!

hsheep

I find this to be a very fresh and sort of greenish vanilla, even a little yellow lol. I get a lot of a dry and fresh herb or maybe even like a grass or green hay note, especially in the top. It eventually dries down and I can smell the floral lavender coming through. There's a warm and milky vanilla mixed throughout, beginning to end, it becomes almost buttery once dried down. It's a very beautiful scent but I'm not personally into bright and green vanillas.

Carpe Noctem

This is my favorite out of the new Lancome line. It's very calming, sweet and light, but not in a sillage or longevity way. I mean it's not overpowering. I do not think, as one reviewer mentions, it smells anything like the original Dior Addict. (I love both of these.)

The drydown is soft and sweet and I can't stop smelling my arms. Definitely worthy of a full bottle.

luxe_aura

I am not even all that into lavender scents to be quite honest, however, this is absolutely decadent! The creamy vanilla and fresh lavander combination is quite stunning. This is quite comforting, elegant, and just divine. The first time I wore it was to church and I kept smelling something amazing, and I thought it was the beautiful woman sitting in front of me. I just kept leaning in for whiffs... Long behold that beautiful woman turned around and told me that she walked in behind me and that I smelled impeccable!!!! In that moment, I figured out it was me who smelled so good! Immediately purchased a full bottle after that (and receiving numerous compliments that same day)!

bibidee

Three simple notes that combine to make one of the loveliest, most delicious scents I've smelled. The milk is sweet and creamy, the lavender and vanilla are fresh. It has a soft, caramel-ly vibe, but the lavender brightens it up and prevents it from getting tooth-achingly sweet. It's not complex but it possesses a depth that keeps the scent interesting. It wears soft and smooth on my skin - like having a scented cloud around me. Very good sillage and longevity. I get yummy wafts of it throughout the day with just 2-3 sprays.

Deetron

Guys, this is amazing! I have no words to describe it!
This is the ultimate gourmand lavender on the planet Earth!!! So smooth, so sexy, creamy, so velvety! It's super cozy, warm, addictive, like you are in wonderful small and comfortable coffee shop, outside is snowing, there are some cookies, you're drinking hot coffee with warm milk and in that moment the lavender note gives some edge and masculine character... Amazing! This aromatic character of the modern lavender keeps the composition interesting and not too sweet and feminine. I think people who love Mugler Pure Tonka, Rochas Man, Eisenberg J'ose for men and so on cozy-aromatic scents, will fall in love in Lancome Lavandes Trianon. This is very high quality mix with good ingredients and I'm TRULY impressed! The only negative thing is the price. Love, love, love it!!!

mister_chaz

This is a perfect lavender gourmand - frosted milky and sweet! I wanted a good lavender scent for a long time, was debating between Chanel Jersey and this one. So glad picked Lavandes Trianon! It's unlike anything else I've tried.

I was once handed by an SA a ceramic tester heavily sprayed with Lavandes Trianon, and I was not thrilled at all by its dense cloud of generic gourmand tonka vanilla. But when I got around to try it on my skin, the result is much better.

It opens on my skin as a vivid purple lavender. It's not at all like the metallic, ultra-clean note in certain mainstream masculine sport fragrances. Here, the lavender is aromatic and herbal in a gritty, earthy, deep and resinous way, sometimes even a bit like burnt rubber.

As the fragrance enters into the dry down, the latter nuance shifts gradually into a soft burnt caramel and dried hay undertone thanks to the quiet arrival of vanilla and tonka bean. The initial lively herbal vigour is also soothed by the comfort of vanilla. I was a bit wary whether its commercial gourmand vanilla-tonka base previously observed on the ceramic tester would take over the fragrance. But as long as I'm careful with the amount applied on my skin, Lavandes Trianon is foremost a lavender soliflore, and the vanilla and tonka bean in the base behave more like a filter to soften the contour in a picture.

Although Lavandes Trianon is mostly linear, its tone does shift from the opening to the dry down. If the opening is a field of lavender at dusk, releasing its aromatic yet resinous redolence after bathing under the Mediterranean sun, this field is then caressed by the vanilla like a balmy summer breeze of early evening. I get a moderate sillage during the most part of its 8-hour longevity.

While Lavandes Trianon might not be the most complex lavender fragrance, it does display a wide range of earthy, deep nuances that are rarely featured in mainstream offerings. Its gourmand base also manifests in a measured manner as long as I don't overapply, which helps to avoid triggering gourmand fatigue too often. Personally, I find it more "lavender" and less gourmand than Rochas Man and Mugler A*Men. Although I would hesitate to recommend it to fans of fresh lavender fragrances, Lavandes Trianon would be an interesting option to consider if one ever wants to venture into gourmand territory, and vice-versa for lavender-phobe gourmand fan.

Simply put Lavandes Trianon smells like lavender petals dipped in warm milk with crystallized sugar sprinkled on top. One of the best comfort fragrances I own that lasts a long time on me plus it's one of those rare fragrances that I could smell it all the time when I'm wearing it. A gourmand with twist that smells very natural to my nose worth every penny in my opinion and definitely worth checking out.

Anyone who loves Rochas Man and New Haarlem style could easily blind buy this one. A mouth-watering refined caramel and lavender that is an absolute delicacy.

Total surprise!

Never really cared much for Lancôme since they've become part of L'Oréal, but I must admit this is nothing short of sensational!

As soon as I sprayed it on, people came up to me and complimented me (which I rarely get as I am such a "French Whorehouse" trying too many different things at once).

I would position this somewhere between AMOUAGE "Sun" for men and "Un Homme" de Caron but a bit softer and rounder, courtesy of the milk (lactonic) accord.

Something in the dry down is a bit bitter, I remembered but overall this is a keeper!

Verdict: 8/10 total unisex. Uncomplicated feel-good day scent.

This starts out strong, herbal lavender. Then it's joined by a sweet vanilla and the lavender becomes barbershop lavender. I was expecting this to be sweeter and creamier, but was disappointed. The drydown is very masculine on me. It smells like Barbasol shaving cream mixed with vanilla. It's a scrubber for me.

Simply Divine.
Sophisticated in a warm and embracing way.

It is difficult to find a go good modern lavender.
Here we have a nowdays version of Mouchoir de Monsieur but distant from that.
It has a sort of little santal-iris presence also.
Well mostly, when the elegant lavender is gone, Trianon become a big sugary vanille, metallic cotton candy side and caramel.
Delicious, yes it is gourmand but princely, not childish.

Directly from the site of Lancome:

The assembly of two French Lavandes originating from the Drôme Provençale, softened by a signature Crystallized Vanilla.
The Essence of Fine Lavender cultivated in high altitude, with fresh and fusing notes, is associated with the Absolute Lavender of Provence with the balsamic character.

Remember me something of the 90s and finally I have found the link. It is A-Man, which is more complex and actually I don't like as fragrance an i cant say thei are similar, but it contains as well a lot of vanilla milk caramel and lavander.

I purchased this from lancomes site directly. This perfumes smells exactly like the original Dior Addict. It is very floral or maybe its the lavender. I don't smell any vanilla or creme Brulee - I do not consider this a gourmand perfume. Gourmand scents are my favorite. The silage and longevity of this perfume is pretty strong but not overwhelming. I am disappointed in this scent because I was expecting more of a gourmand scent so I am returning this scent.

REMY-DIAMONDS

Just launched fresh in harrods London over the weekend!! I got to try all the new collection fragrances in the range!! This lavender is the best I've tried!! It's creamy lavender with notes of caramel and vanilla!! It's not soft and tame, nor is it loud!! It's a relaxing lavender with beautiful sweet notes!! I will be buying this soon!! It does remind me a little of lush twilight but this is far more beautiful and well constructed!!
