Trésor Midnight Rose by Lancôme is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Trésor Midnight Rose was launched in 2011. Top notes are Raspberry and Rose; middle notes are Cassis, Pink Pepper, Peony and Jasmine; base notes are Vanille, Musk and Virginia Cedar.

The latest fragrance by the house of Lancome, Tresor Midnight Rose is announced as a seductive edition, successor to the last year's edition Tresor In Love in a purple flacon.

A new dose of Parisian romance provides a fragrant story beginning with passionate accords of raspberry and rich rose nuance. Love at first sight which happened between gentle rose petals and red fruit zest of raspberry continues with a hint of peony and jasmine, in an elegant and sophisticated way. Insolence felt in a heart comes from pink pepper and a dose of gentleness from currant buds. Base notes provide tranquility and comfort– composed of warm and soft vanilla, woody nuances of Virginian cedar and sensual musky veil.

Top notes: raspberry rose absolute
Heart: jasmine, peony, currant buds, pink pepper
Base: Virginian cedar, musk and vanilla

Face of the new Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose is Emma Watson, who posed for photos of the campaign in Paris. The photos were taken by Mario Testino.

On the market from September 2011!

Very sexy date night scent. More rasberry than rose, however. I love it.

mirage93

wildangel72

I really enjoy this scent, and I find it much more versatile than most reviews indicate. I see it generally described as dark, mysterious, and sexy, relegating it to nighttime or occasion wear. For me the raspberry top note is very forward, making the opening and mid too bright and sweet to be mysterious. The good news about that, is that it makes this scent completely afternoon appropriate and suitable for cooler spring and fall use as well, not just winter nights. A "purple" scent for sure, but not darkest purple. For me this reads as classy casual. It's an equally great choice for an upscale late lunch with girlfriends or a romantic dinner out. Not jeans and sneaks, but dark jeans and tailored blazer or wide-leg trousers with a cashmere top. Casual sophistication. The rose is subtle, the woodsy note quietly in the back. The drydown soft and approachable. I'll repurchase until they ruin it with reformulations.

Molto buono.
Fragranza giovanile e delicata.

I have both: TMR in a tester vial and Angel Nova in 30ml bottle. At the first spray of TMR I almost laughed out: they are so similar! 90% at least. Angel Nova is stronger and more woody by a tad. Just pick one, no need to own both. TMR is cheaper.

yuyudoo05

LOVE LOVE LOVE, such a sexy scent

nukleo777

Got my second bottle finally. I can't believe I lived without this one for so many years. Super sexy perfume for night out. It's strong, dark, deep and complex.

hnk11

Raspberry & rose. Nighttime winter scent. Not necessarily sexy - think more classically romantic. Can be headache inducing but I like it. Bordering on being a dated perfume in my opinion. Lasts for 10+ hours.

Nadia Khouri

it gave me headache , I could not handle smelling roses so I gave it to my sister with warning of wearing it around me lol

jadepo21

I am not usually a fan of scents with a prominent rose note but this one is just blended so well. It’s a fragrance that evokes deep, luscious berries and ripened plums. It’s a dark take on fruit, but with a feminine floral background. It’s just sultry and beautiful in a sexy and classy way. I truly adore it and find myself reaching for it for date nights and special occasions where I want to feel like my best self.

BadMongoose

makes me think of a dark fairy princess and the purple bottle is hauntingly wicked. Absolutely love it.
A bit pricey, but longevity is good

CB88

Tested this twice in store as it’s only available online where I live.
Love the scent, I was looking for something a bit more sophisticated than Nova and this delivers. It is a little bit generic whereas Nova is very bright and attention seeking. I also don’t pick up much rose in this, it’s mostly sweet raspberry. I was shocked at how little this lasted, I could barely smell it after 5 hours or so and usually my skin holds on to fragrance much longer than that. Nova easily lasts 10+ hours on me. Unfortunately I will have to pass and continue my search.

ChristineKal

I got it as a gift when I was a teenager. To my nose, this smells very lady-like and too much of that. It’s intensely a heavy cold kind of floral. I think it is the mix of the notes that do not please me. I normally prefer white florals and vanilla scents.
I can see how this could smell really elegant and sensual on some people.

taintedkitten

This was a chosen blind buy for a Christmas present. Wasn't so keen on the initial spray as smelt sharp. On dry down, smelt nicer, but still not in love with it. Unfortunately, on drying down, myself and others can very barely smell it, which is a bit disappointing. It reminds me of rose talcum powder once dry.

Snow1809

I love this perfume so much I had to buy the second bottle ♥️♥️. To me this is the sexiest scent in Tresor line. All notes are incorporated well.

Yumik

When you first spray this perfume, the scent is quite sharp and toxic, but once dried the raspberry scent comes out. Would I buy this again? Nope

Shanty36

I can smell the berries and rose in maybe the first 5 minutes and then all I smell is the cassis leaf and a hint of patchouli. It’s not my favourite dry down but I will say, it lasts and projects like a beast of a fragrance. It reminds me of pine a bit, so I’m enjoying that green note during some Xmas dinners but this one is not for the faint of heart. I blind bought this and I would definitely not recommend doing that. I don’t necessarily regret it but had I smelled it previously I probably would not have purchased a full bottle. Though the scent is starting to grow on me …

Leeenas

At first I didn’t like it that much because it just smelled like very very sharp synthetic raspberry to me, I couldn’t smell anything else.
After wearing it for a while I came to enjoy it. It grows into a smoky woody raspberry after a while, very fruity, feminine and seductive

demi1504

Great sillage and longevity define this fragrance. Its unique scent, often associated with Angel Nova due to the raspberry note, still maintains its distinct personality. Ageless in its appeal, this fragrance stands independently, offering a unique and individual essence.

Sarra816

Fruity, dark, sexy rose. The raspberry almost gives it a boozy scent. This is not a bubblegum raspberry -- it is a green and woody raspberry. The sweetness in this comes from the rose!

The dry down turns this rose more smoky and dusky while losing all sweetness.
One of my first Lancome loves. I wear it in the darker cooler seasons and at night.

dezaval

This is a jammy rasperry-and-rose scent. Can you imagine a hand made rasperry jam, very sweet and dense one, with the flavor of dark pink roses? This is it! A very sweet, fruity and floral frag! It's absolutely wonderful! It has great longevity (up to 8 hours) and great sillage. It's absolutely festive, ideal for a night out, during winter...

One warning: do not overspray this beauty! It will be suffocating to you and to others. It has similarities with La Nuit Tresor, but the latter is smokey praline and red fruits, thus LNT is more sensual and mysterious. I like them both! Another Lancome jewel amongst the others!

seliko

beautiful surprise today when i tried a tester of this perfume, and not the last bit of perfume that i’ve been keeping in my collection as a souvenir… the beautiful uplifting blend of fruity rose, musky and lively with a hint of a dusty background, on a cold winter day, the memories of an old signature scent! as the juice meets with time, the rose gets too dusty and prominent as the lively raspberry disappears. (to the point where it burns my throat, i don’t experience physical reactions to fragrances often!) i’d recommend getting a smaller size to use up throughout cold months and to get another bottle to keep the initial beauty of this blend.

layers rather beautifully with Lancôme idôle nectar or BBW you're the one

with so many new and exciting fragrances on the market, it falls a bit short and too casual!

FaithHopeLove

I pulled out Tresor Midnight Rose after not wearing it for at least a year or two. I thought it might be nice to wear it for Thanksgiving, and I have not stopped wearing it since! Now I can’t get enough! I have rediscovered the magical scent that enchanted me when I first bought it several years ago. Yes, the raspberry and rose are delightful, but there’s just something about that Virginia Cedar note that I just can’t get enough of! It smells like nothing else, and I love it! It has especially good staying power on fabrics. It’s probably a little too strong for spring and summer. Tresor In Love serves me well in those seasons.

alina terec

Thé longévité on this one is off the chain. I Can smell it months later on my coat. Some potent and classy stuff.

Kuty22

I bought this on a whim, because of the comparisons with Angel Nova and I like it very much.
However, I must say that I still prefer Angel Nova, I thought I'd use this one in the winter time, but I can't wear it without spraying Nova too 🤭

FireDragon76

I could wear this as an everyday cold/cool weather fragrance, but I could only afford 30ml today, so this will be a special day occasion fragrance.

Midnight Rose works really well with my skin chemistry and I don't get warm soda it any kind of soda, but definitely test first.

Raspberry, Cassis, and vanilla fragrance on me.

nomi00

My mom gave me this one from her collection and it's not my favourite personally. it initially smells like warm sharp raspberry soda to me. The part that still makes this an elegant scent is the deep sweet rose note towards the middle/end. Also, this lasts and projects like crazy. I wouldn't wear this casually myself but i can see someone wearing this in the nighttime during fall in a nice flowy gown or something~

Rosiewebber

I hated this to begin with, all I was getting was sickly raspberry syrup mixed with almost minty cigarette smoke. It reminded me of the vents from London clubs as I walked to work in Blackfriars early on Sunday mornings.
However, I have persisted, and while I’m still not totally sold on the opening, I’m coming to enjoy the dry down. Fruity raspberry and woody rose, for some reason it’s almost reminding me of Delina & Delina la rosee at that point. Definitely growing on me.

diddyscafe

Initially, I had doubts about my purchase when I first sprayed it. My wrist was dominated by the woody notes, particularly cedar and jasmine. I even contemplated using it as a room fragrance spray. However, with the passing hours, the raspberry note I desired began to emerge. There was a subtle hint of rose, but it was mostly like a layer of raspberry jam atop a fresh cedar kitchenette scent.

PinkRainbow

I just adore this. It takes the original Lancome Tresor up a notch with an intoxicating blend of raspberries and roses. Such an incredible beauty. Longevity is above average and silage is very decent. A sophisticated juice that would work beautifully as a signature scent in any season.

Juels

Forest fruit fragrance, it is sweet and delicious! Good for spring, autumn days. Good longevity and projection.

ShadMu

I LOVE THIS PERFUME SOOO MUCH
it’s one of my signature scents that i adore soo much
It’s really addictive, it is a perfect rose-berry scent ,well blended and it’s very attractive.
it gives me a 2015 summer vibe, which was when i first used this perfume and fall in love with it.
VERY VERY ATTRACTIVE SCENT.

grapefruit352

Just the same sticky pineapple note that I feel in Armani "Si". Overhelming and too sweet.
I would say that makes Trésor Midnight Rose Lancôme is sooo much alike Armani "Si", not my cup of tea.

Shamira Maryam

This perfume is intoxicating! I sprayed this in an airport on my winter jacket, hung it and Crazy how it still has it smells -+3 months later. Lovelovelove this perfume! Saving up to get one

Zanerkand

As a previous reviewer said, this is like a potion. Of the highest quality and you can smell the jasmine but it's the raspberry and rose that will stay with you.

Silage is incredible; I would enter and leave the room where I sprayed it just to enjoy the scent trail.

Longevity is also superb; you will be able to smell this on your clothes and bedsheets, which is a good thing.

Compliment magnet and a great choice for a date night.

gonegirl

i sampled a bunch of frags the other day, and this was my favourite. smells like the bottle looks.

iheomagu

I've searching for a rose fragrance cos I want to explore more floral scents. I got this and it kind of gives me grandma vibes. Now, this isn't bad at all. It's grandma in a good way. I get none of the sweetness everyone is talking about. I get rose. Pure woody rose. Unfortunately, it doesn't project on my skin and the longevity is weak. This will end up being a home fragrance as I like my fragrances to be strong and envelope me in a scent bubble when I step out, and this makes for a nice skin scent.

SareBear3

I was shocked by the ability to detect the raspberry scent! Very nice. It a beautiful scent that smells exactly like what it sounds like. The dry down leaves a scent that is reminiscent of a scene in a movie where someone sees an extremely beautiful woman on the train, so they go to talk to her, but she steps off, and they never see her again. This is the scent that she leaves in the air while they stand there and think about how captivating she was.

WhiteFlowerPrincess

As is often the case with most Lancôme fragrances, this perfume is syrupy sweet and is too much for my senses all at once.

I love the rose note in this, but it is almost drowned out by the incredibly sweet and fruity raspberry and the sugary and gourmand vanilla too. It is not as dark and sultry smelling as the commecials with Emma Watson for Lancôme would have you believe. It smells more like a perfume for teenagers than it does for a sophisticated woman.

The pink pepper, the musk and the wood in Trésor Midnight Rose does soften and cut through the sweetness somewhat thankfully, but I honestly think more musk in the base and less raspberry and vanilla would have made this fragrance so much better. I also am not a fan of the cassis note, since it gives a slight smell of cat urine in it.

This scent's sillage had a strong 6 foot radius and it lasted a good 10 hours on my skin, so you do get very good value for this fragrance and it is a fairly cheap price. The pink and purple bottle with the little purple ribbon with a purple silk ribbon is beautiful too.

I don't think that this fragrance is at all bad, but I don't think it will ever set the world on fire. I liked and owned Lancôme Trésor Midnight Rose when I was younger and just getting into fragrances, but my nose has graduated from this now. So altogether, I'd give this perfume a 5/10.

vargadorkaluca

This was my signature scent in high school and I loved it so much I can't even describe it.

Now about 10 years later I saw it for 40 euros in the airport and I had to buy it. They didn't have a tester only the wrapped up package but I remember the scent so I wasn't doubting anything.
I wore it a few times but I had to give it away because it just doesn't smell the same. Is it my nose that changed or the formula I don't know.
I remember the old one having a deep and round vanilla dry down with a hint of raspberry and that was the best part about it. This new version smells like a raspberry gummy bear. It's purely sweet raspberry and a shy musky dry down. I wish the vanilla in it would be the same, that's what made it so addicting back then.
Now, this also could've been a bad batch. Did anyone experience this?

Bhavnalovesscents

Gorgeous, mysterious and intense scent. This is one of those designer scents that smells like a niche scent. An all time classic.

watermelonmami

I got this as a blind buy as it was mentioned in the 365 days book as the main characters “favorite perfume.” Corny, I know.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved this! The perfect balance of fruity and floral. I wore this to my engagement party and got tons of compliments, and ended up wearing it at my wedding too.

It’s not for everyone, but I do love it. Lasts long and good performance!

Kuty22

As I'm currently in love with Angel Nova, I had to get this one to try.
I love 😍 it too, maybe not as much as Nova but it's a love for sure.

thaochipnd

An extremely sweet scent, typical of Lancome's style for ladies. I can't smell the Rose notes clearly, mostly Raspberry and Cassis. Not too special or creative, but this is an addictive scent for ladies who love sweetness and femininity. The downside is that this scent is only suitable for cool, chilly weather.

Dopaminerush

A flirty and feminine cedar wood. On me the opening is mostly fresh cut cedar and then it changes to a sweet raspberry and rose nuance that is not immature nor elderly. Different from the usual and one of my new favorites

dolcevita9

Sweet jammy rose... I am not a fan of Rose note but I like this fragrance. lasts for hours especially when sprayed on the clothes. The bottle's pretty too

cherryflavoredantacid

Unfortunately my skin really picks up on the earthy notes in this perfume over the raspberry and floral notes, which is a bummer because I really am not a fan. I think the pepper and the cassis add nothing to this perfume, it makes it smell like it's gone rancid or something.

Loliky

ANNAFRYS

The queen of roses; its my 4th bottle. I call it scent of lesbian because how awesome it is. Besides.... In USA formula is more sweet and deep. In Europe its watery to compare with formulation to USA market. I miss this formulation in Macys back to 2015`.

Kittycat63

I see that a reviewer has claimed that Tresor Midnight Rose is identical to Mugler's Angel Nova perfume. She says that this is sweeter and lasts longer but that Nova is more spicy and smells a little bit metallic. That is VERY contradictory! How can this GORGEOUS perfume smell identical to Angel Nova, yet apparently Angel Nova smells spicy and metallic?? Tresor Midnight Rose is neither of those things. It is fresh, rosey / raspberry'ish and very warm and feminine - the total opposite to spicy and metallic! Also, it's youthful yet another reviewer says that, to her, it's only for someone over 60! There are NO rules and limitations on age groups with perfumes - people can wear what they like, whatever their age! Those two reviews alone show how really a lot of reviews need to be taken with a pinch of salt and that perfumes can smell very different to different people, and that everyone has their own unique chemistry that brings out different aspects of perfumes on their skin. I haven't tried Angel Nova yet but I am curious to see for myself if there is any similarity at all to Tresor Midnight Rose. I normally really dislike Mugler perfumes though (especially Angel which is vile and massively overrated!) so I'll probably hate it, but I LOVE Tresor Midnight Rose. To me TMR is beautifully unique smelling and can't be bettered!

httrung32

My mother is a classy lady who loves fragrances that are sweet, strong, and intoxicating. She likes to announce her presence wherever she goes with her fragrances. A few months ago, she asked me to find her a fresh scent for her casual activities in the morning, such as going to the supermarket, working out lightly, or having brunch with her friends. She insisted that it had to be "fresh, strong, and sweet". One day, I was shopping at the mall and I remembered her request. I checked out some fragrances and saw one on sale at the Lancôme counter: Trésor Midnight Rose. I knew right away that my mom would love it, so I bought it and gave it to her as a gift. Trésor Midnight Rose is a sweet but not cloying fragrance that combines clean musk and sweet raspberry rose. It has a fresh vibe to it that suits my mom’s request. And, she loves it and wears it often in the morning. She says she gets a lot of compliments from people who smell her fragrance, and my dad and my sister like it too. I’m glad I found her the perfect fresh fragrance.

wo0berry

she’s a beauty. this is a lovely potion of raspberry and rose ( the fruit being dominant).

Definitely a date night perfume for any who prefer feminine scents.

tanny_ups

This perfume is IDENTICAL to Mugler - Angel Nova. However this is sweeter and last longer. Nova, on the other hand, is more spicy and smells a little bit metallic

I really like Tresor Midnight Rose. It’s highly complimented and it’s a good value for money

Tinabill

What a stunning, elegant bottle! I would have gotten it for the flacon alone, but as a bonus I like the juice as well.
TMR starts with a good balance between tart, sweet raspberries and black currants on one hand and deep dark roses on the other. With time it becomes less tart and tips into more syrupy territory but always elegantly floral.
It is more of an evening scent to me (not midnight). It is alluring in a sophisticated way rather than being overly seductive. Emma Watson was a good representation of the fragrance, a girl morphing into an elegant young woman.
However every time I wear it, I have a feeling it could use something more. More oomph, more character, more spice, more cassis, I don’t know 🤷♀️. It feels a bit lacking and a tad generic. But still very lovely.

salmanjunior075

Very sweet and deep raspberry syrup scent.

nelluzza.alali

Let's start with the positive notes: I got this in sale for quite a reasonable price. To me is a non offensive quite likeable fragrance. It has a decent longevity considered the price I paid.
Having said that I expect it to have more of a character. Seeing the notes here on fragrantica I was super happy and expect it to smell like one of my mom's perfumes from the 90s. Like a prominent raspberry and fresh rose.. But instead it smells to me very mannered and well blended (which is not a negative point per se) where nor the raspberry nor the rose particularly stand out to me. They act together to create the jam sweet rosey feel albeit at times it feels artificial especially in the opening.
As for projection and longevity this is not by any mean a super performer and I say so from a lover of intense and powerful potions like Delina, Angel and Montale range. It lasts on me a good 6 hours but fades to a skin scent pretty early. If I stick my nose into my clothes or to my wrist I can still smell it.

PuppyFever

I love the way this fragrance opens with deep cassis and rose. I keep expecting the berries to intensify in that direction but instead, we are introduced to a peppery note in the mid-dry down that lingers throughout the scent's life. It's a unique staple in the seductive, jammy rose scent category but it could have been smoother if it wasn't as peppery.

Kate_the_Iris

Although for some reason I cannot see many women wearing it, I would definitely say that this one is a compliment getter, and I would repurchase it again. It is surely a sensual, sexy scent for a gorgeous woman in a long, black dress who is on her way to attend an upscale cocktail party. There is something unique and very sexual about this fragrance, definitely not for your daily wear, and not for the office wear. Won’t work for the teens and women who prefer ripped jeans and sports shoes. Good price tag and can find on sale sometimes (especially duty free). Long-lasting and has great projection.

sarrah_92i

This fragrance has definitely been reformulated… I used to own a bottle from 2017, the scent was strong, sweet, dark, and had that rosy/berry jammy style to it and longevity was huge! Then, I just recently repurchased a new bottle and I feel like it’s more raspberry candy like, I smell the woodiness a lot and longevity is way weaker 😕 But overall it’s still a good fragrance 👍🏻

MrAbbas

I bought it for my mom as a gift. The scent is lady like. Its like a fruity rose scent that has a bit of spicy backbone. It smells well put-together and like a confident mom in her 40s or 50s. My mom loved it and she liked the bottle a lot, she said it looks like a "Madame".

aicwilo

such and odd smell. i mostly get musk (?) in the opening and faint rose in the background. i just do not feel the sexiness and intensity everyone is talking about. the notes seem lovely but i am really underwhelmed

Dioraddict1909

The first spray is very berry fruity and musky. Blind bought and I’m not a fan. Not to be mean or anything but this has a slight old lady perfume hint. I saw people rave about it and I’m just not liking it. Will return unfortunately.

coffeefifofum

I suspect the musk/cedar note is provided by ambroxan and that doesn't work well on me. It reads too harsh on my skin for me to dig any deeper into it. Opens a little loud, but it settles in five minutes and the top notes are pleasantly, softly floral and berry. Fairly sweet. I wouldn't call it midnight rose. It's more secluded rose garden at the edge of a cedar forest in late morning.

AngelBritney

I used to wear this when I went clubbing and it made me feel seductive and feminine. It's definitely a perfume for special occasions, especially at night time. I'd never thought that a rose perfume could be this good and made for nighttime. I wish it was less expensive. I read that they changed the formula and that it's not as intense as it used to be but I hope this is not true.

clairescentience

If you're not a fan of musky scents, the first blast might offend you. But, then, she reveals the freshness of her dark roses, the sweet kiss of raspberry on her lips. The rose in this... Is so 3D. When you smell it, you can see it. You can feel the damp petals between your fingers. This scent is such an experience. It's dark, it's mysterious, enticing, but also sweet and... gentle. Truly, a transportative fragrance with many admirers. Also, that bottle looks cheesy in photos but it is BEAUTIFUL in person.

jazzscent13

Think black roses with the thorns still attached, mixed with wood and ripped raspberries. This grew on me.. at first it felt too woody. But that’s what I’ve grown to appreciate. This is a designer scent with depth. This is sweet scent with a dark side. Hence the name midnight rose. I love this.

Nina2020

CatOwned

This is an odd one. I smelled this in a Macy's and liked it. Then I ordered direct from Lancome during a sale and didn't like it too much at first as soon as I got it. Now I like it again. I find this to be a calming and soothing fragrance strictly for before bed in my case. It has some peppery dry/sharp somewhat green scent to my nose, and I do smell kind of a dry rose type smell, and weirdly I smell chocolate too as in bitter dark chocolate, but this isnt a listed note here. I think perhaps some of the dry sharpness is from the cedar listed here.

unlitcigar

From the notes and comparisons being made to some of my favourite frags, I blind bought this one, luckily only a sample. This is not a good fragrance for me. Very disturbingly synthetic smell and the most perfumey artificial scent I have ever come across in my life. I love all the notes mentioned here, so not sure why the combination is so annoying. Anyways I have thrown the sample in the trash. Alas I had high hopes with this one.
Edit: I know what is not agreeing with me. I know there is no coconut mentioned in the notes, but I get lots of coconut (which is first on my dislike list). That same coconut I can smell in other scents that dislike me like crystal noir. No hate. Just my honest opinion.

anitasaastamoinen

What a lovely raspberry scent! Longlasting and sillage is strong. I sprayed it once on my winter coat's sleeve, I can smell it still after one week. Other notes come behind raspberry, it's warm and juicy scent. I tested this once in summer, it wasn't so good then comparing to what it is during colder months. Just got this today. I love many Trésor flankers and have now four of them (including the original), except there was something I didn't like about Trésor Lumineuse. I could use just Trésor flankers :D: in spring and summer Trésor in Love, the original and La Nuit Trésor Nude, during colder months La Nuit Trésor, the original, La Nuit Trésor Nude and this one. Well, that was just my thought play, of course I have also other favourite scents.

Grantic

When I smell it, it was like synthetic bomb blown up with chemical odor. I smell nothing of those roses.
I don't recommend.

Loui81

Please read this: I value my perfume collection very much, but some of the perfumes are missing the cap - so if you have emptied your perfume, I will be very happy and grateful if I can ask for your cap and the purple flower (Tresor Midnight Rose, size 30/50 ml) Thank you.

Yurippe

Not enough rose for something with "rose" in its name. I get mostly raspberry an some leaf.

Yasmeena0

What a waste of money, because of the weakness of this perfume, I thought it was fake, and unfortunately it wasn't, it disappeared after ten minutes, it disappeared completely! I don't advise anyone to buy it ❌

LeNyxNoir

I love most Lancôme fragrances La Vie East Belle, Idôle, ... but La Nuit Trésor is my absolute favourite. Hence, Trésor midnight rose has been on my TS list for ages and I finally bought it. Although I won't deny that it has an elegant component to it, to me the raspberry note is a bit strong, particularly at the beginning. As it starts to fade however, the scent becomes much more alluring. I do wish the rose component was a bit more prominent, as on my skin, the rose scent fades very quickly. But overall the perfume lasts about 4-5 hours on my skin.

ca$hm3re

This was a bit of a blind buy flop for me. Soki London raves about this one and I LOVE La Nuit Tresor so thought I’d love this (I also love rose), so if that sounds like you, this is still not a safe blind buy! I just can’t stand how peppery this is 😬. It’s too much for me and makes the fragrance very masculine. I don’t get any where near as much sweetness as I do from La Nuit Tresor, and overall it’s just a harsher, colder, less mass appealing scent.

Was really convinced this would be a love and now I’m just justifying keeping it in my collection at all, I think this would benefit from some layering to sweeten it up, not that I know how to do that 😬.

Maneera

I blind bought this fragrance for winter. And I have to say - it turned out quite pretty.
Even though it’s quite fruity, it is intense without being overtly sweet. I don’t have anything similar in my collection, so I’m happy to have this one.

_NicoleNonya

This scent reminds me of a weaker version of Delina Excluif.
I dislike oud so I stay away from anything with oud. I wore Delina Excluif for a day, I could smell the incense but again, to me, this is a more tolerable version of DE by PDM in the dry down.
It's alright, i would get it if it were on sale.

venus28

This is the perfume that I wear whenever I want to feel elegant, feminine and like a princess. If Aurora from Sleeping Beauty had a signature scent, it would definitely be that one.

Hannehoney

Blindbuy :)
This is what I wanted Mon Paris to smell like. Mon Paris gives me a headache, so now I have this :) Beautiful raspberry and rose scent with a smoky background. I think you could wear this any season, any occasion, day and night. Its a simple fragrance and I think its very inviting and elegant. It dries down very soft vanilla on my skin. This would be nice as a gift too :)

Frenchghost

At first this is way to sharp, then it gets better, settles very light&Feminine raspberry &rose later, like it's a tart slightly barley after drydown, fresh not as sweet as I thought it be,but it's pretty, casually for me,I get rose also thankfully not the green stem of the rose&more of the petals in this, lovely, not my worst blind, not my best, this is just in the middle for me,it's okay,I'd say it's casual&light, safe&gentle, refreshing slightly sweet,I think it may grow on me,it's okay,●use for casual days as an uplifting scent probably👒but most likely will not repurchase after the bottles empty,to each their own.
👉🤍👈 UPDATE:so I wore this more&I figured out what I confirmed,I really dislike in a scent&it's raspberry &sharp notes, sharpness? Anyways I figured this out from past scents, also bright crystal by Versace, has alot of raspberry &a sharp vibe as well,I see the beauty in this midnight 🌹 rose creation,it's just i can't wear this fb,or wear it ever again,I tried believe me! This is alot better than bright crystal absolute by Versace tho, also this has a cold&very dry vibe, like dead dry leaves&bushes with a fairy dust of spice pepper, it smellslike a mystic witch hut in the forest,it's just too sharp, too dry &weirdly no life, yet lasts a very long time. I love gothic witchy or even forest style scents, but not this very very cold&dry&sharp....this is very well done, very airy woodsy, cold raspberry, dry leaves&sticks, dry trees, they are dead, the witch doesn't have her juice her potions in this hut, she's secluded and lost so deep in the dead forest with no life&all she can do is blow spice off the dusty hut cabins shelves, she's barren &heart 💔 broke. Maybe the raspberry? I love strawberry and cherry in a perfume, however I truly think raspberry ruined it sharp&cold& very dry, only juicy in the opening, but sharpness I can't, I just can't,

piqpar

I love the raspberry at the beginning, but after a few minutes on my skin, the jasmine takes over, and I can't tolerate it. My mom loves Jasmin and really likes it, but not me.

CathyNoo

Raspberry and rose is such a gorgeous combo in this fragrance. Very feminine and versatile perfume for all year round. Love ❤️

Shahrzaad

Perfect combination of rose and raspberry (but be sure to apply moderately), with a beautiful dry down of peony and musk. I have noticed I get a lot of compliments from men when I wear this.

AshBud

I can't lie, I was a little let down considering the hype. I was expecting a deep, sexy, late night fragrance but instead get a very sugary raspberry with zero rose.
I get EL Beautiful Belle at first spray with a touch of Burberry Her in the dry down and a good amount of vanilla. Its a nice fall scent, but I'm not blown away.

Cindyluna

This is my all time favorite perfume, so sweet, dark and beautiful, it’s a work of art 🤌🏻 most importantly, is a strong scent but doesn’t give me a headache

elifcanart

One of my favs. Imagine a rare rose waiting to be discovered. This is the image of the woman described in the fragrance i think.. Like a luxurious fruity floral soap. Signature scent. Great sillage. Suitable for day and night. Best of the Tresor collection.

snoopy2

This is not a Miss Dior rose - offset by lots of sparkle and sugar. The rose here is front and center. Dry and deep. It is unique in todays market but must like rose.

arvvvn

Such a gorgeous and Delphic scent. The rose and the raspberry notes are blended so well together. It almost smells like what a sweet purple rose would smell like. Give this a try, it’s worth it

m-k1

A hidden, underrated gem.

Not my go-to, I barely pick it up as I don’t love fruity, rose smells. But as far as fruity rose smells go, this is by far the best one.

Blended to perfection. Smells juicy, the best done rose in my opinion, perfect amount of sweetness and good performance. Not synthetic smelling at all, unlike many perfumes in this category. I love that Lancome didn’t overdo it and chuck in unnecessary notes, the berry and rose are clear, clean and crisp. Great for all ages as it doesn’t smell too “old”.

Like I said, berry/rose fragrances are not my go to, I prefer citrus vanilla blends, but I still find myself picking this up sometimes when I want to smell feminine and pretty.

dabatch

no chance you could label this as a typical sweet fragrance. not by todays standards of the perfumery. this little gem is like thousand times fresher than half of the male (yep, male) fragrances produced every year since invictus and Y became popular.

this one is beautiful and fresh, spicy and mysterious. a bit dark and cold even. with a hint of sweetness to it.
a masterpiece.
(bought it for my wife and i'm glad she likes it.)

10/10

cantnameacat

this perfume smells like pink rose petals on my skin, but the fruitiness of the raspberry in the background is very appreciated. it is very reminiscent of the scent of early winter/fall days. Sweet but with a depth of darkness from slight woodiness on dry down. The bottle is just gorgeous - I love the little rose ribbon.

DHakky

bombshell passion is veryyy close to it we can call it a perfect dupe 👌🏻

Lyric82

This is just all around beautiful to my nose. The rose and raspberry are definitely most prominent to me, but the sweetness is tamed with a little bit of tartness from cassis or black currant. Kind of like that idea that a little bit of ugly, makes things prettier. I think that’s definitely the case with this one. The tart, and the sweet, and the elegant rose… all lie on a bed of slightly vanillic and clean fluffy musk, without being soapy. I do get some woody notes too. I’m not the best at identifying woody notes, but it’s not Sandalwood. To me, this comes off as a versatile fragrance that you can reach for in pretty much any season and for any occasion. It could work for anything I think. It is strong though… amazing longevity and projects… pretty much performs how all my lancome perfumes perform.

HelloMrsMurphy

I think this a very versatile fruity and rosy scent. I tend to wear it in spring and summer the most, mostly daytime (occasionally nighttime). This might be a bit weird given the name and the fact that most people see it as a rather heavy winter scent. However, many people see a resemblance to Angel Nova, therefore I think it is not too weird to wear it in the summer heat. The raspberry to me is quite prominent which gives me the fruity summary vibe. The rose makes it quite sophisticated though. I think you can also wear it on date nights or for nights out in autumn/winter and it is probably excellent for this purpose too. I tend to wear other heavier fragrances for nighttime wear in winter though.

GUADELUPA

Nice scent of berries and flowers. I can smell raspberries and roses most of all. Somewhere in the background there is a cassis. Sweetness is well balanced by the sourness (is that how jasmine plays?). Very beautiful fragrance! It's very intense, but sometimes soapy. I make one or two applications so as not to spoil the beauty. Longevity and sillage are excellent, I like Lancome for these characteristics. You can wear it during the day, and for the evening and dating as well. I don't see any age restrictions. It's suitable for women and girls of any age.

mothtoaflame___

(Collection)
I have high hopes for this, to be the equivalent of my fellow little companion, YSL Parisienne and it’s flankers, since I adore anything rose, especially if it’s leaning darker. Happy to receive my package! Want to spend a lot of time with it.

Nadine Ameur

My brother bought me this cute bottle today it's smells so sweet in the cool way for sure I really love it 🤍🥰

Liladulcea

This smells amazing on other people. I love being around them when they wear this haha. But on me, it’s a bit too fruity and powerful. It does smell amazing, lasts well, very big sillage. Smells like raspberries and roses to me. I love the pink pepper in it too. Everytime I see pink pepper I know it’s going to be pretty good. Very gourmand and fruity but not annoying and childish like the juicy couture perfumes. I Recommend!

ssamhita

Tresor Midnight Rose came to my notice because I was looking for a pretty raspberry rose, and a lot of people here recommended this one to me. I tried it in the store on paper and got hooked. I couldn’t stop smelling it. After holding the tester strip to my nose for two hours straight I knew I had to get this one. I bought the bottle two weeks later.

To me, this perfume is an enigma. The opening is fresh but there’s an underlying spiciness to it - I don’t want to use the word smoke because that would turn people off. I get a dark berry, not necessarily a raspberry in the beginning but later it’s also very woody on me, probably from the cedar. The bottle fits the perfume so well. It’s a sultry one, this rose. I’m reminded of an intimate boudoir with dark velvet drapes and the colour purple. The woman’s lying on her bed with satin sheets, wearing a black silk robe, fiddling with the stalk of a blood red rose. In the dark, it looks almost black.

I don’t think this is a safe blind buy, for to me this is bold. Not the scent itself, but the vibe it gives. The dry down is gorgeousness itself, but you’ve got to give the opening some time. Should you ever try it, don’t have any preconceived notions. Let the perfume take you where it wants to.

Moonshine_Strawberries

To me this borders on smelling “too young” for me because the raspberry smells pretty sweet and synthetic. It smells like it could be really cheap but if it were I’d think of it as a hidden gem. The raspberry and rose are a great combination and the supporting notes support them well. It’s bright and happy and most importantly I don’t get tired of it if I wear the same pair of scrubs through 2 or even 3 work days. Blends well with lavender too, like Jo Malone silver birch and lavender.

sakona

Just bought this. The smell is so lovely

likesleet

sweet candy-ish raspberry. not a fan of pepper so i have better sweet fruit alternatives

eva.daisy.88

This was a blind purchase while I was transiting through one of the airports.
It lasts on my skin only for about 2-3 hours. But I can smell it on my clothes one day later.
Overall, this whole combination is a bit weird. Right after the application, I can smell cassis and pink pepper. Those notes disappear super quickly, and then it starts to develop into overly sweet raspberry candy with rose. And the wood starts to develop on the background. The wooden notes are so artificial, I don’t like it when I sniff it too close. Oh well, that’s what you get when you’re blind buying perfumes 😅

LSAUG

Midnight Rose reminds me of one of the Romance flankers by Ralph Lauren w/ more pink pepper added. It smells fake and very plastic to my nose. A sweet, pink pepper plastic rose. I don't get Lancome fragrances. I wish they would make more treaures like Poeme but everything else I try from this brand just falls flat.

kristynabelscakova

Sweet and spicy raspberry, rose (I like it there even though I hate roses in perfumes), pepper and wood. Beastly sillage.

Sierra_b

I get strong Delina vibes ??? And what a good suprise I LOVE IT YEEEEY 💗💗💗💗💗💗

Soknim

Soft spicy, raspberry not too sweet
This smell so expensive and unisex in my opinion
6-8h on my skin and last all day on my clothes
I always get a compliment when I wear this one, everyone can smell this fragrance when they near you
9/10

Selfscentred

An achingly sweet raspberry soda with a screechy rose and a hint of the neighbour’s cat (hint: cassia). Straight up awful. I get a tootache just by smelling the top notes and the rest leaves me lost for other words.

Sannesans

I wanted to love this. Beautiful bottle and exudes a bit of a nighttime vibe, but it is too girly sweet for me. Sold it.

lindsaybirddrums

FANTASTIC FRAGRANCE! long-lasting, beautiful scent! I have zero complaints about this perfume! This will be forever a staple in my collection! <3 <3 <3

Crystalita76

Tresor- Midnight Rose 🌹
The “Jammy Rose”
This opens up a bit sharp ( thanks to the cassis )
But is still quite sweet -raspberry rose combination.
The cassis definitely keeps this one from being too sweet. And gives it a bit of a green quality.
This is not a safe blind buy.
But i do enjoy wearing it.
The projection and performance are a bit beast mode.
I can definitely see it being compared to Tresor La Nuit but they are only similar in the base notes.
Midnight Rose 🌹 is not as complex and is a triple dose of rose - raspberry- and cassis.
The cedar and a bit of Vanille are there but not really adding to the character of the fragrance.
The bottle is gorgeous. 🤩
Quality ingredients as with all the Lancôme fragrances.

Stoicchild

I have so many good things to say about this perfume! I wish I could gather enough words to explain how this is, it still would be less. I'll name it "The Scent of Cinderella". Yes, it truly is that magical. It's something out of a fairy tale. If Cinderella had a scent it'd be this one. I imagine Cinderella's ball gown to smell like this. Her dress in the movie is made of tissue fabric, and this scent gives you that airy tissue powdery rose scent. Imagine Cinderella's dress brushed along the thorny Rose garden during the night she went to the ball and all the dust that caught along with it while she was running away. It's a dusty, powdery Rose when it's all dried up.

Sillya

I decided to try Tresor midnight rose, as I have been in a rose phase lately. I am a habitual blind-buyer so I ordered it online. To be honest, I was expecting something in the lines of Very Good Girl (which I really liked when I received a sample). It is not similar at all to me, however, it is an amazing perfume on its own luckily. I find vgg to be much fruitier and sweeter in a fresh way, unlike tmr, which is still very sweet but in a jammier, sexier way. I get a hint of patchouli, but it is not strong enough to bother me in the least. I thoroughly enjoy wearing this and I'm glad I decided to buy it.

Masha_latte

It's a very sweet almost candy-like smell. I'm surprised to see some people can't smell raspberry or find patchouli (!?) in it. May be they are smelling fakes?
I personally love this little gem!

nessa_arroyo

The rose and patchouli are really strong in this one. Not sure what I was expecting, but this wasn't for me. I barely get the raspberry notes, definitely not a raspberry lemonade. To me this is more of a floral Patchouli scent as I can barely get any fruitiness. Not for me.

thebloff

Strong raspberry and very sweet. To me, it's 90% similar to La Nuit Tresor. 8.8/10

Kimpam

I wonder why I can't smell the raspberry here, could i be anosmic to that chemical? This perfume is nice but it is missing the fruity part that it is supposed have (to my nose). This is a nighttime or fall floral. I don't hate it, but it is not for me.

Lady Lynx

“Hey, you got raspberries in my lemonade!”
“Hey, you got lemonade in my raspberries!”
“Mmm, two great scents that smell great together!”

Forget about all the other notes - Midnight Rose is raspberry lemonade, but a classy *adult* raspberry lemonade. It’s the swanky bar’s house special cocktail, which makes you feel giggly and a bit flushed as you sip it down through the night. The bottle itself is also glamorously gorgeous, with its tapered profile and deep purple ombré, like a cut and polished amethyst.

This was one of the first perfumes my SO bought me, and its inaugural debut was a jazz dance hall. I’ll always associate Midnight Rose with the thrill of swing dancing barefoot across the floor in my Little Black Dress, locking eyes and laughing with the love of my life.

smellslikethousandroses

Blueberry yogurt and I LOVE IT!!😛

Jmama26

Cat pee in a pretty bottle

jinglebells

I purchased a decant of this fragrance and I'm very glad I did, I seem to be anosmic to every note in this other than the rose and cassis, and it's 90% rose. Where is the raspberry and the other notes?
I was hoping this would become my night time dinner date fragrance but my skin chemistry and nose won't allow it. It smells okay from the nozzle, a slightly jammy rose, but dries down quite sharp and green, I was hoping the other notes would cover up the rose a bit since I don't love the smell of roses. Not a safe blind buy.

Nourhan

It’s a good scent but smells generic.
All I caught was raspberry and another generic scent

loveleen

I finally got to try this as I've heard it smells like Angel Nova - and it DOES! Perhaps not as sparkly or sharp as Angel Nova.

The main difference (to an untrained nose) between Tresor Midnight Rose and Angel Nova is that Tresor has that initial fruity zingy burst which dissipates within minutes turning into a more floral rosey scent, while with the Angel Nova, that zingy raspberry burst of fruityness lasts much longer and is a bit sharper.

I like both, but I would say if you have one you probably don't need the other.

Mizzmarie729

Beautiful scent - one of my favorites next to BR540. I see this compared to Delina as well as Angel Nova/Nina Ricci Rose Extase and very good girl by CH. I have the Angel Nova and Rose extase and still felt the need to purchase Treser midnight because there is a difference. Angel Nova is a sweeter brighter youthful fragrance that anyone can pull off especially if they are feeling flirty and youthful. Treser midnight rose is like the Older sister that is a bit more floral which is what makes it different from the rest. Its Delina without the screechy sourness, and everything I wanted from it quite frankly. I would say Rose extase is their youthful mother she had her kids young in life so she is young enough to be relevant and cool - but old enough to still have some maturity. Its what I imagine my mother wearing although I love it and wear it, I am definitely more of the midnight rose at my early 30s and my preteens as teens and young 20s on up to wear Nova angel (tho my mom with her never growing old peter pan mentality would be wearing Nova out of the bunch). There is no age on fragrance tho and when I say mature I dont mean in the "old lady mature" reference I hear... nay nay I mean sophisticated refined and well some wisdom from time. However the simple break down is yes those specific fragrances are in the same genre but different enough I can have them without guilt (except very good girl I have not yet smelled this). Midnight rose is your jammy yummy rose with florals. Angel nova is your fruity rose bright and then woody. Rose extase is just fruity vanilla rose which is probably the closest to treser midnight rose yet still different. Delina isn't somethin I will reach for often so it sits hidden away.

MimesOtto

Powdery rose fruity floral, IMO better than the OG..rose isn't as heady so don't shy away if you hate rose scents..It smells like a department store cosmetics section in a good way ;)

djouri

it's a perfume that smells like candy t's so girly nice for a teenager or any young woman and it's inoffensive

paroo

I love this workhorse! I’ve worn Midnight Rose consistently for about 5 years. She wears, mostly, raspberry, vanilla, and cedar on me. Longevity is about 6 hours, and then she’s a strong skin scent. I think everyone who gets along with MR, keeps her in their collection for her ability to work in most occasions, and most temperatures, except high heat. I will always have Midnight Rose in my collection!🌹

Snowflake8000

This smells like the name. Dark, and rose. This is stale, dark floral too me. I don’t get any fruit or brightness. Smells like vase water that has been sitting there for a few days. This isn’t for me.

seliko

this is my signature scent! it lasts all day on my skin and whenever i walk into any place my scent arrives before me, and when i go up to my friends for our little kiss of the morning they say "i recognized you immediately, you smell so good!" the scent follows me everywhere, i leave my mark in any room i enter. definitely the fragrance i wear whenever i want to impress and attract someone. i associate it with the beginning of a rainy morning and going on a walk with my friends at lunchtime, only to come back freshly perfumed, trying to attract my crush.

on me, this scent isn't very young, it's definitely a bit more mature and grounded, like a beautiful, feminine, elegant woman. fruity floral except the only floral i get assertively is the rose, which i think is what makes this fragrance more "mature". i think the florals blend really nicely. i love how this fragrance is able to make me smell like a goddess without the conservative little grandma factor.

i used to wear this a lot in france and recently fell back in love with it. i had gotten turned off of it when i tried wearing it in summer, so ended up taking a 4-year break, that's how bad it didn't work! my advice to people who want to love this is to try it exclusively in winter and on unscented body lotions, i find that with the current one i'm using it's not portraying as nicely.

cristiana27

rose with berries and a hint of spice. perfect for a date and lasts up to 10h very seductive

tovasignature

I think this fragrance is subject to skin chemistry. I get very little rose, cassis or raspberry. I get mostly pink pepper,, cedar and musk. The rose is somewhat evident in the first 15 min, thereafter on my skin it's a dry woody pepper bomb. Not for me.

Marzag

Well, the bottle and the name are both gorgeous but that's the only nice thing I can say about this fragrance. I wanted to like it, but I don't. I tested it on a few different occasions in a department store, and each time I didn't like it. My young daughter was with me, and she also tested it. She doesn't like it, either. It's just BAD. I can't imagine anyone liking this. I am surprised Lancome put it's name on this one. Lancome usually makes beautiful fragrances, but this is not one of them. I was happy to wash this off my skin. Tresor in Love is MUCH better.

Heidi2021

I don't think this is sweet at all! In the initial spray I smell the rose, tart rasberry and mostly a very sharp green note, maybe the cassis. After a while when it settles down I only get rose, Pink pepper and cedar. Must say I was a little bit dissapointed because I thought this was a sweeter fragrance.. I don't hate it, but It's not my kind of fragrance.

EDIT
I hate this, wore it yesterday and I just wanted to get away from this smell. Now I know what it reminds me off- pencilshavings!! Maybe I got a bad bottle idk, but I don't like it at all!!

mangooo

I really wanted to love this because the bottle is so pretty! After hearing so much about this one I thought I'd love it because I'm a huge fruity scent fan.

Immediately upon spraying I get this very strong fresh bitter green scent (like freshly cut plant stem or something) that overpowers and cuts through every other note. I can smell the fruity notes but just barely because I can't focus on anything but the sharp green. If you can ignore or enjoy that note then would be a pleasant raspberry scent with a bit of tartness and earthiness undertone.

EDIT: This grew on me. I ended up spilling my sample and a day later caught a whiff of delicious tart raspberry and was wondering what it was - it was this! So gave it another chance & I tested this out a few more times and I finally got used to the green note (it's still prominent but it's less jarring to me now) and can better appreciate this. The raspberry in here juicy and slightly tart, love it. Ended up grabbing a 30mL bottle. The earthy/woody notes are quite prominent just as a heads up. The best way I could describe this is if you crushed a bunch of raspberries & freshly cut roses (stem & all) on a cedar tree stump.

Edit again: I think this must have been reformulated as the full bottle I just got has more of a powder candy raspberry scent compared to the sample I had and sillage is noticeably weaker. Sadly I think I'll be returning this, the reformulation made the raspberry smell powdery & candy like a raspberry smartie (the juicy jammyness is gone) and that mixed with the woody notes just feels off to me

08310831

Powdered rose, soft delicate with great sillage and projection. I would say it's romantic sexy and not dark sexy as its name says.

Eoliver68

This was a blind buy based on reviews and I really wanted to like it . I don’t get the overly sweet berry vibe (wish I did) Instead I guess what I get is the cedar and it is strong and overpowers the fragrance..so unfortunately this is a no.

electric_evelyn

This is a nice, girly perfume - maybe too girly at some point. It’s sweeter than Ariana Grande’s Sweet Like Candy. I got very poor longevity and sillage, too bad.

Bee45

I like this perfume. It is a tartly sweet rose with musk fragrance. I can smell some green note as well. I think that this would be best to wear on cool nights. Feels dressed up. Lasts long on my skin. I don’t spray a lot as I am a little scent sensitive. This is a strong scent in my opinion. D&G Light Blue Love is Love is very similar to this, but I would say it is a lighter/daytime version of Midnight Rose.

stephania3000

I get tart raspberries with a touch of greenness and some rose in the background. To me this is very classy and youthful, a great addition to any collection.

Stellabear

Tresor Midnight Rose is one of my favorite perfumes I have worn it since it came out and repurchase when I run out. It is rosy, fruity and sophisticated. I wear it all the time especially when I am going out in the evening.

keithscents

Oh I like to love this scent. The raspberry note is lovely and the rose note follows it. It's seductive but subtle. It's inviting but reserved. You get all that contrasts of emotions when you smell this scent. I get so many compliments when I wear this on. The only thing I really don't like is it goes away fast. Like 2 hours is the maximum and you can't smell it either on clothes or skin. Sad.

Rating this 6.5/10

Kroko

Sweet and fresh. Smells like a mix of Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs and La Vie est Belle by Lancome.

Joshhiggins32

I had this for a while and finally gave up on it. The notes listed I thought I’d love this and use it a lot but it was the opposite. There is something about this that just doesn’t go well for me. I don’t find it all that similar to angel nova which I love, there is something about this that smell cheap to me in a way. I could see why people love it but for me it’s a no. Performance is great tho! On others this could be beautiful but for me it’s just not great.

tovasignature

I was so excited to receive this fragrance. I was sooo looking for the rose, raspberry and cassis! Such a disappointment! All is get is cedar with a bit if sugar. I have come to the conclusion that my skin does not like cedar! I feel like I am in my granny's cedar closet. UGH!

OAN: I loved the original Sophia Grojsman, Tresor. Perfection.!!!!! This did not live up to the legacy.

Hanan2222

Something funny happened to me the first day I wore this fragrance, it was a little hot outside so I only did 3 sprays. On my way down to the building's door, there were 3 young gardeners all busy maintaining the plants, they didn't see my face, once passed them, suddenly everything stopped, the talking, the machines : everything went silent. I was really surprised and self conscious, I couldn't turn back to see them, I didn't know if it was a good or a bad thing, until I arrived at work and my friends told me I smelled great. That was confusing hahahaha, I love the perfume despite its edginess, I love the raspberries and cassis a lot in here. It last really long on my clothes.

Efragrantica

A very beautiful, fruity, dark, rose seductive fragrance. IMO its more suited for more colder weather and makes a wonderful date night purfume. Now that I'm a bit older I can appreciate this type of fragrance, it is very classy. I think I will always have it in my collection.

Caitlin5

I have a love/hate relationship with this fragrance. First spray I'm in love and it dries and an hour later I want it ooffff. It can be too sickly of a raspberry sometimes but after the initial hour or so I love it again.

Jennifer79

This is my first review, I love perfume and have been a long time fan of this site. Midnight rose is a fairly linear fragrance, but in the dry down I do get more vanilla and cedar. This is one of my favorites in my collection right now, I love gourmands! I don't get much rose, this is all about the syrupy sweet berries, I think a more accurate name would have been midnight berries. I have gotten quite a few compliments on this scent, I love how it is sweet yet it's a fresh sweet at the same time. Also whether it's true or not I read that MR has been reformulated recently so I am happy I have a back up bottle of the original. This is definitely perfect as it is and shouldn't be messed around with, I can never understand why houses change perfumes when we already love them the way they are. I blind bought this one and am so glad I did, I can't imagine anyone who is a fan of berry scents done in a more sophisticated way not enjoying this.

violxttx

This was a blind buy for my honeymoon. I like it, smells sugary sweet but can be super overpowering at times. Not the type of scent i usually go for but it was a nice temporary change. One spray is very potent.

Great for date nights too!

stephdray

I wanted more rose than raspberry and got the reverse, which is all fine and lovely. But I’d say this is a gourmand. And I’m not really a gourmand kind of girl. It lasted forever though. Which was great!!

Kathy Reed

Such a pretty scent I got this as a gift from my mom on my birthday and I was so confused about how to feel about this fragrance I hate rose but the rose in this perfume is sooo youthful and pretty! Doesn’t smell old fashioned or anything, the raspberry gives it a very nice sweet without being too over the top, it doesn’t take a way from the rose but adds juiciness and a little bit of syrupy sweetness to it, it’s not too sweet because the pink pepper gives it a very nice balance I do think the pink pepper is so noticeable so I think that if you don’t like pink pepper you’re probably going To dislike this, the scent is light yet powerful, the packaging seems like it will smell like a clubbing scent or night scent but to me it smells like a light everyday scent very wearable for all year round, really beautiful I also think anybody could wear this 16 + my mom also really loved it and I really liked it ☺️

NVK

Beautiful scent. Fruity and sweet. Elegant and sexy.
As a guy, my rating is 7/10

firstmate423

I’m not a fan of rose scented perfumes. However, I was gifted this and gave it a try. I’m so glad I did! It is a beautiful scent and I receive complements on it EVERY time I wear it. The raspberry/vanilla/rose deliciousness is a masterpiece! A great scent for winter! I will always keep a bottle of this in my collection!

BilgeD

I think this perfume smells amazing. I like fruit, rose and vanille combination, so this is an excellent smell for me. However contrary to other comments, this perfume doesn't last long on me. I bought it from official Lancome website of my country, so I'm pretty sure it's original. So I was suprised while reading other reviews.
In conclusion, it is a good smell but not strong enough for me.

Junej

Once you get over the initial raspberry shock, it settles into a more smokier, musky raspberry and rose. In my country, local artisans make traditional carvings out of rosewood, and I was immediately reminded of this on the dry-down; which for me, I absolutely love. So the spicy woody notes definitely stand out on my skin.

Definitely a change from my usual sweet gourmand perfumes. I'll finish the sample and see if it warrants a full bottle purchase.

Sillage: 7/10
Projection: 6/10
Longevity: 9/10
Overall: 8/10

Update 08/13/21: Have been layering with some "lighter" fragrances I own, and the combos are delicious (Gucci Bamboo/Miracle Lancôme)! One spritz of Tresor Midnight Rose on the chest does the trick; the smokiness usually cuts through the lighter frags, while amplifying their scents.

Emily254

It’s a very clean and inoffensive smell. The sillage is great and it goes a long way. You could wear it at the office.
Unfortunately, I don’t like the smell. It’s like a rose soap bar, which I am not a fan of.

LoveLola

This was the first perfume I ever bought, I think due in part to the commercial. Whenever I wear this scent I get compliments from both men and women. Yes, it’s true you can overspray. During the summer I can only do two sprays max. It’s so strong during the summer! To me I get rose, raspberry, and musk the most. It’s elegant and sexy on the right person. I would say this is a great date night perfume at a sexy spot. I’ve even worn this to work when I’m wearing a darker elegant outfit. Lasts all day! Literally! I’ve read reviews where people state it smells synthetic.. maybe I can see that but at least it’s sexy.

tonkatsu335

I don't know why, it's smoky raspberry scent. I was expecting a juicy sweet raspberry rose from the reviews.

Caused by currant leaf and pink pepper?
I can't like it because the bitter, smoky scent is awfully noticeable.

elle876

Even before spraying-- I get a strong raspberry scent. It literally smells like a bowl of tart raspberries. There is a tiny hint of it that reminds me of Victoria's Secret very sexy for her from the early-mid 2000s, might be the pepper? It is a super sexy scent if you can let the sharp raspberry dry down. I do agree with/see where another user mentioned bath and body works but it is definitely a more refined/grown up version of that.

LaMiaRosa

I absolutely love this fragrance and have for many years. One of my top three for sure. It's sweet, sexy and intoxicating while still retaining its innocence. Complete indulgence. It's interesting looking at the notes because I really don't smell most of them. Vanilla and raspberry for sure, but there is also something sugary and caramel-like with this scent. I'm surprised there aren't any gourmand notes because that's how this smells on me. Very delicious, making every breathe a pleasure! It helps that this has great longevity and pretty decent sillage.

Zombie Apocalypse

I have this perfume and i like it alot but i never quite loved it. I think that cassis note is a bit too harsh and a distraction to the harmony of notes. I recently wore 3 or 4 tiny half sprays and i felt a bit choked out. I think 2 small sprays and you are good to go with this one. I still like to wear it but i dont think i will repurchase. The 30ml bottle which i currently have will last a few years at this rate.😂

Happyme2009

I got this from the Beauty Boutique at Shoppers, and frankly I don't know why. Maybe because of that dark purple rose on the neck of the bottle? I am not happy with it. The bottle is gorgeous. The lasting power and silage are good. Price : close tp $100 with the taxes for 50ml, which a think it's decent if you enjoy the scent. I hardly smell roses, it's all musky berries and sugar on my skin. It reminds me closely of other scents popular and on the market, such as Gabbana Dolce Garden and Armani Si Fiori. So, while I can't say it doesn't smell good, because it does, it's simply too "normal" and ordinary. If you want it, I have a nearly full bottle for swap within Canada.

Nourhan262

I think it’s too spicy that it hurt my nose..

Ldaeln

I love this perfume. It’s feminine, sexy, mysterious and addicting. The notes are also very accurate. I always get complimented when I wear this gorgeous scent. First it smells like a rich, semi-sweet, rosy raspberry jam. Upon drydown, I can detect the florals but also the musk and vanilla. I wear this both night and day but be cautious, it’s quite easy to overspray. I would recommend this fragrance to everyone who wants a unique, flirty, grown scent. Another goos thing about it is that it isn’t overly rosy like some other Rose perfumes, it’s a PERFECT mix of the notes. 5/5⭐️

Rita Mansoor

My signature fragrance its extremely long lasting the smell is amazing

Laoise Brianna

A much fruitier perfume than I would usually go for. It reminds me of YSL's Mon Paris, however it has a weaker lasting power unfortunately. I enjoy this perfume, its playful and smells better on skin than clothes. It's good for a date night. Its more playful and less sophisticated than Mon Paris. I would personally prefer more rose and less berry. I don't think I'll be getting it again, sadly.

fyetan

Jammy fruity raspberry rose.
Projection and sillage are excellent.

However something that makes it so jammy rubs me the wrong way during drydown. It takes on a bit of a sharp, almost acrid character.

Try Nina Ricci Rose Extase for a softer, smoother take on the raspberry rose. (Or to stay with Lancome, La Vie Est Belle En Rose.)

RoseJam2020

I loved the sample… but must have bought a dupe on eBay because it smelled nothing of the sample and has no longevity…

Uka

I have a sample. This is a very nice perfume. Sweet, even little bit too sweet to my taste, but not cheap or generic. There is also something interesting to it. For me, this is a nice everyday winter fragrance. The question is whether it worth the price.... but since it´s good for lasting, I can say yes.

Power of Perfume

4 adjectives: pretty, sexy, intense, dark.
3 ingredients: rose, berry, vanilla.
2 atmospheres: evening/night, fall/winter.
1 flaw: too popular.

MagdalenaM

I was very attracted to this, but the dry down just smelled like raspberries. Literally, just that. It was just lackluster, not very interesting, maybe even girly, even if its not in an obvious manner. I just wouldnt pay money for it, Lancome has better fragrances.

Ellik

Im surprised that many said they didn’t smell the roses at all. For me, roses were VERY strong at first maybe 5 minutes. All i could smell was fresh pink/red roses and raspberries. Very realistic rose scent.

Ellik

Love this. There is something magical, deep and woodsy in this. Makes me think of forest and fairytales.

AngelBritney

I love love love this fragrance. Used to wear it whenever I went clubbing before Corona. It's definitely a heavier perfume which lasts long.

Szafirowy czar

The scent is a bit too sweet and girlish to my taste

Phantomias

This is a combination of woody notes with a hint of rose and fruit. IMHO better than the original Tresor, TMR presents nothing new or exiting. Sillage is modest with average longevity with a splash application, spray may perform better.
The woody notes are very nice but are not enough to justify an entire bottle.

JD.Berg

A very pleasant and bright fragrance! In the opening it bears a slight resemblance to La Vie Est Belle Intensément imo because of the raspberry note that’s common in both. Mainly abrasive rose fragrances suffocate me, but the rose here is well blended with the tarty raspberry. Also black currant and peony manifest about 30 mins upon spraying which enhances the bright fruity vibe of the fragrance. Very feminine and attractive. The silage is massive! I sprayed it today in my room with the door closed and all the family could smell it in the living room the minute I sprayed it! Longevity is quite moderate, I think I need to wear it outdoors and see how it’ll perform. A very happy fragrance.

SummerRose

IMO, this is Rose done properly! Love at first sniff and I'm still loving it!

Hunnynpink

A couple sprays makes me sneeze all day but I love the tart raspberry vanilla rose smell.

SuzScents

I really wanted to love this fragrance. I love the smell of red fruits; dark cherry, blackberry, strawberry, and especially raspberry. I've been searching for a signature grownup, long lasting, red berry scent. After reading so many positive reviews for Lancome's Tresor Midnight Rose, I thought for sure I'd found it.

I proceeded with a bit of caution and ordered the smallest size available. The opening is strong and heavenly, actually. The floral mid-notes just added to its appeal. However, the dry down was a HUGE let down, as all I could smell was the eye-watering onslaught of cedar. I remember having this exact same issue with Delina. Too much cedar and not enough berries and florals. I now know that cedar just isn't for me. Luckily, I also ordered Emporio Armani's, Because It's You, which I adore. I layered it atop TMR and the combination gives me exactly what I want. 🤷🏽♀️

lzak

Don’t like this. Was a blind buy. On my skin, it’s nauseating, softly at first, then gets worse, the cedar?, I have no idea, but it gets worse as time goes on. I will trade it for something else.

Enrium

A freshly-sheared and fedora-d Emma Watson was an inspired choice as the face of this fragrance, as it was for this reason that it was so popular among my teenaged peers at the time of its release a decade ago. Memorable campaign aside, Trésor Midnight Rose is a pretty decent floral fruity, well-blended with an interesting combination of ingredients.

To me, Trésor Midnight Rose smells like a fairytale, sweet and romantic with some darkness below the surface. It opens with a syrupy raspberry note, sweet and pleasant despite a little fleeting sharpness. The blackcurrant complements the raspberry, making for a juicy, fresh opening. The fruity accords marry beautifully with the rose, with restrained vanilla adding just the right amount of sweetness. Jasmine is also detectable, rounding out the florals nicely to create a luscious, feminine scent.

The background muskiness of the drydown is perfect, giving an edge to the rose. However, woody notes creep in as it dries down, and I find these a little too sharp, taking from the lovely berry-rose balance. Sillage is moderate but longevity is on the weaker side. Still, the pros outweigh these cons.

Much better than most recent Lancome releases. A crowd-pleaser for good reason. Versatile, feminine floral-fruity, sweet yet fresh. Sensual and romantic. Garners compliments. Creative iteration of a rose scent. 3.5/5.

Rose du soir

Trésor Midnight Rose is pretty avant-garde for a perfume released 10 years ago, as it's the same juicy woody lychee scent that's so trendy in 2021. Angel Nova is almost exactly the same scent, although Midnight Rose doesn't have the sharp plasticky sourness of Nova. It's soft, smooth, sweet and very likeable. Easy to wear year round, at the office or for a date. Romantic and pretty. If you like lychee and don't want something cloying or with patchouli, you'll probably enjoy this one.

Azisai-

I love this one since it takes a totally different turn than most raspberry note frags. I'm not the biggest fan of the sour raspberry + heavy patchouli, so imo it's really out of this world. Sweet, but also deep and woodsy, and a teensy bit floral. Longevity is all day, flamboyant but not disgustingly large sillage, perfect if you want to smell good but not kill anyone in the process. Just don't overspray, as always.

Personally, I think this is a unique scent. Fruit + patchouli is a generic combo in the market nowadays but this has something special about it, since the raspberry is so finely tuned. The rose plays nicely with the musk, even if it's more of a background thing. Brilliant.

Whenever I smell this... I imagine a sophisticated lawyer lady standing on a balcony, looking at the stars in the night sky. That's the kind of person that would wear this.

malessia

Smells good and pretty, however I can definitely live without it. Maybe is just not unique. I smell pretty rose and pink pepper and cedar. Also peony gives a freshness to it! It is sweet. It’s pleasant. I won’t buy again because it doesn’t make me feel special.

gracyshamurailatpam

This is exactly what the baby girl of Ralph Lauren Midnight Romance and Armani Because It’s You would smell like!! It’s very sweet ,almost overpowering initially but the drydown smells like spring. i somehow do not get the rose. Would be a perfect spring cocktail party scent very feminine.

Bqsznzhrie

Try to appreciate it, but unfortunately I only get shampooish soapy smell, not my vibe

disintigratedwoman

Just dropping a second review on this one since I love it so much. It's my go-to scent whenever I'm going out - and it never fails to draw compliments, especially from guys.

It definitely has some generic vibes to it, due to its fruity sweetness, but it has a sophisticated spin thanks to the cedar and pepper notes, which make it zesty and refreshing. Blends so well with my skin, the dry down is what seems to draw people the most. One spray on each side of my neck is all I need.

Should also add that this works wonderfully in all seasons for me - from -30C to +30C here in Canada. But I think I like it most in the summer.

I hope they never discontinue this one :)

Oohsmellthisone

This fragrance is so perfectly balanced/blended and I’m in love with it. It’s not too sweet, not too much rose, nothing too loud or headache inducing. It’s my new favorite!

sweryn

This is a pretty perfume, albeit not groundbreaking by any means. I smell mainly the raspberry and the rose and then the pink pepper just stays in the background, providing a bit of a kick. Performance is average, it stayed on my skin for around 2 hours, then it faded away. Probably a safe blind buy if you are into fruity-floral perfumes :)

Delia32

To me, this is all rose and sweetness. I love it. It was a blind buy, but it is def one of my favorites. It's sweet, w.out being overwhelming, delicate, feminine, elegant...oh and I love the cassis in it! The only downside is that I would have expected more longevity - it's about 4 h max on my skin, longer on fabric.

dianaelz.1

this is the sweetest fragrance I have in my collection. Midnight rose is the queen of a jammy raspberry scent
With cassis and vanilla.
mass appealing girly fragrance. i dont think this is a rose fragrance is mostly fruity then a floral one.
if you like raspberry you will like this
if you love sweet perfumes you will like this
if you like mon Paris by YSL buy this one instead as it lasts much more.
fall and winter. spring evenings appropriate.

gamme82

Its probably one of the best fruity florals. Not boring and with an edge with The pink pepper. This separates midnight rose from other perfumes in the same cathegory.
Sillage is soft to moderate, yet it gets compliments and longevity is around 6 hours.
For some reason on me, it gives a little Alien from Mugler kinda vibe.
Its a fragrance i want in my collection always.

Eva.s 123

I don't know what to say about that one. It starts off rosy - fruity and quite pleasant. But after about 5 minutes all I can smell is pink pepper (it's sort of minty sharp smell). It doesn't go well with my skin chemistry. I will give it another try in warmer weather as I bought 30 ml bottle...
BTW I love La nuit Trésor and MR is not even near it.

shannonwheeler05

This is one of my most complimented fragrances. I love it and really enjoy the pink pepper note blending with the dark rose and the raspberry. It’s very lovely.

sopz

All I wanted was a beautiful candy sweet rose but instead got a dry woody musk. Why can't I smell what everyone else is smelling.

tam_i

It's beautiful, guys and girls love this one. Doesn't perform nearly as well as e.g. la vie est belle.

kyleeanderson

This is the most feminine intoxicating scents ever. I love this perfume, very much a signature scent. I hate rose and I still love this perfume because it isn't fresh rose and with the raspberry this makes this scent smell so sexy. This is a true gem and my favorite tresor.

mimi_1996

I bought this after sampling Ramon Monegal Flamenco - I knew I needed something in my collection that had a prominent raspberry note but it wasn’t special enough for me to part with £250 for the 100ml. Flamenco gave raspberry ribena vibes.

Enter this little gem - absolutely perfect. Smells a little more mature and less like fruit juice than Flamenco. Longevity is great and I am thrilled with this fragrance!!

I am also much more impressed with this than La Nuit Tresor - that one was a little too strong on the lychee for me but I liked the dry down. Midnight Rose is more suitable for those of us who prefer something a little softer and fruitier :)
