Testing this directly beside a decant of Bouquet Ideale. BI is a bit "airy" and softer. More understated. Raghba is spicier, sweeter, louder, and a bit more cloying. There is a "cheapness" to Raghba that's just a "loud" vs "modest" thing to me but I like it better than BI personally. They smell very, very similar.

YoungJ

I didn't like at first because I could smell saliva so much lol I had to put somewhere and didn't touch it for a month and tried it again. Much less saliva and it's actually beautiful. Incense scent spread on my body. Now I get it why this saliva scent comes from, it's from incense, sandalwood and oud. It has still sour scent but I don't feel like its saliva anymore. Spray and let it sit for a while. You will enjoy this eventually.

Detman101

Its been months since the bottle of this fragrance got put in the far dark corner of the basement with the other "Bad Frags". The saliva smell of it just made me nauseous...and the only other thing that made me nauseous before this fragrance was the smell of rank funky old period blood (horrid experience in a public gas station restroom with a street person...ugh) and "Pharrel - Girl". Another nauseating "funky period blood" fragrance... absolutely putrefyingly disgusting.

But...I got the bottle out of the basement tonight and sprayed some in the box. The saliva note is less powerful...still there...but not as strong. So I sprayed two sprays on my left hand...ugh...the saliva smell amplifies off skin. Again, not as powerfully...but its still there. I can smell the vanilla and amber and I pick up on the incense too....but that oudy-saliva is just disgusting. The old diabetic man with no teeth still haunts the bottle...

I can't see taking a chance putting this on and going to work and feeling nauseous the whole day. I wouldn't even waste layering another vanilla fragrance with this. My vanillas are too precious to me...even the lackluster ones from off-brands.
Back in the dark corner this monstrosity goes...

So....
After months in the basement dark...its better...but still unwearable.
Maybe another 6 months in the dark cold will do it...ugh....

vidrizqi

How to get rid of the saliva smell is by simply layering it with another sweet fragrance. Fresh fragrances will result a weird smell for me.

Not only the saliva gone but layering makes it smell more complex and incredible too.

Got this yesterday smells like Ragbah wood to me at the moment no lovely caramel or vanilla which I would love yet I’ve put away to macerate and see how it develops 🤞

Abdo7168

Sugar, vanillia, oud fragrance I like this but nothing too crazy, I don’t get the saliva smell a lot of people are talking about. it’s just a good smell with average performance.
May not be appealing to those who dislike eastern scents.
Price-10/10(got this with a body spray for 10$)
Overall7/10

Pinchofsalt

It’s an acquired taste, woody and strong at first, as it sits on your skin throughout the day, you can start to see how sober and elegant the fragrance is. I also get why some say it smells like saliva, because of the oud smell once it fades away. But if you’re looking for an affordable exotic/arabesque fragrance, Raghba is your go-to classic.

Very good for times like Ramadan and Aid, excited to wear it for this month.

Definitely would recommend as a unisex fragrance!

gretasbrie

Raghba is easily added to my list of favorite woody fragrances. The incense and oud in this scent remind me of a scratch and sniff sticker in a book we used to own that was supposed to smell like frankincense. I don't think this is a safe blind buy as it does have a dusty barn smell that I love but may be off-putting for some. To me a gem... like if you smelled like an antique shop with shining antique wood tables and velvet couches. I will order this probably endlessly as it is so comforting to me as a scent.

saoirsemoon

Reminds me of earthy rich scents like Kayali vanilla Royale but less vanillic - at least right now . I like it

Grimdeux

Yup, smells strongly of spit. Truly yucking it up with the disappointment. I will never ignore the comments here again. (could be the cinnamon in the spice. friends who hate cinnamon spice tea swear it smells of spit, so...)

On the plus side, this will be a great maceration experiment. Gonna let it sit for a couple of months and see if it changes on me.

Mortarelli

A little more feminine than I expected based on the notes, but still very pleasant. An ex partner used to wear a very similar scent that she got from The Body Shop (can't remember which one) but a great feminine scent. Nice sweet Oud with Vanilla.

EmiliaF

It really does smell like saliva to me. Woodsy vanilla saliva though. There's a sour note which makes me feel this way and I cannot fathom where this note is coming from. Unfortunately it stays that way even after hours of wearing it. It's not a safe blind buy imo.

Von_Diesel

Some say this smells like saliva. Perhaps saliva of a vanilla god. It totally reminds me of perfumes i have in my collection. On dry down i get mancera red tobacco mixed with charuto tobacco vanille ( tom ford dupe ).
A must have from Lattafa.

010

Honestly i blind bough the purfume, Its a amazing purfume that smells like a more unisex version of the more common vannila/oud/amber purfumes out there. Most purfumes with such notes are rlly strong but not w the raghba. It concentrates on the vanilla and amber more, with the oud as a tether between the two.

MSita

Falls flat. Nothing to be crazy about in my opinion. It's sweet, soft and inoffensive.

Anastuki

When I first got this and sprayed on, it smelled like vanilla, heavy insence and oud and a bit of that saliva note that some people mentioned. The saliva note was not too strong, but still, a bit disappointing. Now, a month and a half later, this smells like vanilla, sugar and cinnamon/ spicy. No more saliva smell!!! Let this baby sit for a bit before getting rid of her. It may surprise you!!! For 19 euro I bought the 100 ml perfume + 50 ml deodorant spray in the package One of the best buys ever!!! Very nice on its own and for layering as well!! One of my favourite perfumes is Khamrah and I layered these two the other day.. stunning!!!

Cerise Noire

I ended up giving it away to where it will be well used. I didn't hate it, it just wasn't what I thought it would be. It does not pull towards sugar or vanilla on my skin, which is what I wanted. It goes towards oud and incense way too much. It's just not as vanilla heavy as some people say it is and I personally have no use for it for that reason.

Shahd_perfumary

Try this with vanilla 28 and thank me later
Very addicting
Can’t stop sniffing myself😩❤️

Elliot-Voe123

This perfume's opening has a very strong vanilla opening. When the perfume dries down it smells a lot more like oud which i personally think is very nice.
You have to like sweet vanilla perfumes for this to be something for you.

jbfragrances22

Just got this beauty in today and WOW! I am impressed. Personally I don’t think this fragrance is too sweet. Don’t get me wrong, there is a good dose of sweetness on the opening but once it starts drying down the incense and Oud become more prominent, the vanilla and amber still present but much lighter. Very well blended for the price tag of ~20 dollars. Can’t say much on performance yet but I’ll be back to edit this later.

Edit: Performance was exceptional for the price tag. Full 8hrs+ on my skin with solid projection for the first 2hrs, this won’t offend anyone. Occasion wise, this is great for casual outings, date night, and potentially suitable for the office just be mindful of the sprays. Overall a fantastic pickup, and a solid blind buy if you enjoy amber and vanilla fragrances. Also the Oud in this is not skanky, it more so just adds a nice addition of woodiness. Very happy with this purchase, and I can honestly recommend this for both men and women.

Mystères du Château de Dé

Raghba is a globally easy to like "middle-eastern fragrance", a good one, and inexpensive. The blending is balanced and lively yet unchallenging. I think this will be a fragrance I forever associate with Generation Y, along with Sauvage and Invictus. Raghba may not be huge in the USA but I smell Raghba-like scents all the time in European and Asian cities. It's the same DNA in a zillion scents and smells great on young people. However, check out Emoody's review/report, below. I imagine where Raghba and smell-alikes are too ubiquitous, one could find them tiring.

Anyway, if you like your first bottle, buy another one and put it away. My 2 year old bottle smells perfect and I bet a bottle kept in a box in the dark for 5 years will be turn into something nice. Maybe even after 10 years, when styles will have changed.

I think Raghba could turn into a "classic" fragrance in some parts of the world that many remember wearing when they were young, when Raghba was mass appealing and affordable.

MPirkonen

I am glad I did not listen to negative reviews. I don`t get any of that "old people diabetes" stuff. Oud and vanilla. I am pleased with it.

Simona9

After Lattafa Khamra (which i loved) i was intrigued by middle eastern perfumes. I decided to give this one a try because the notes seemed spot on for me. Dont blind buy this like i did, luckily I LOVED IT. Not a safe blind buy if you are picky with spices and oud, or not comfortable in the unisex area of perfumes.
Definitely spicy at first with the oud and incense, but after dry down the vanilla and sugar come out beautifully. Although i must note that the sweetness is not giving “edible cupcake” that people may think from reviews labeling it “very sweet gourmand”… and this is what was worried about. I don't like the childish sweet cloying scents of cakes and candy. So i really like this one.
Longevity is crazy, this one is a beast so don't overspray it as this type of scent should only be noticed, not present all times. especially in closed spaces.
For sure unisex.
As for the saliva smell some people get:
Yes, i can see how some get the sour, bad breath smell. To me it's spicy, rather than sour BO. Not sure what note is responsible for this shift could be tobacco of some sort? It goes away pretty fast tho and it’s not that bad. I would speculate some people get it pretty bad only for skin chemistry and maybe temperature and humidity where you live.
I conclusion, loved it. Try it out before you buy it, but give it the benefit of sitting on your skin for sometime.
*note: some people said they let Raghba macerate and it does wonders. I will let it macerate for about 2 months while still using it and i’ll make sure to update on that.

Nerdboy83

A cozy vanilla fragrance for the colder seasons. I only wear this when I'm mainly around women. This is something I would reach for hanging with the fellas.

TURNAB0UT

For how cheap this is (15 dollars), it's an absolute steal. If I were to smell this for the first time again, I'd never expect it to be this cheap. On my skin, this smells wonderful. I can't smell any of the grandma powdery complaints, instead I smell a sweet incense scent that lasts for hours on my skin and projects for about 2-3 hours.
For those who regret blind buying this, please send me a bottle.

saroraa

On paper I should like it, but there's something about it I just don't like. It's sweet but there's something almost bitter (?) about it that just doesn't make sense.

VanillaaManiaa

I’ve had this for years, long before any youtube and tiktok hype. This second bottle was purchased in 2016 I believe, I have about 50ml left, daaaark brown juice now. Was just about to declutter and sprayed this on my arm…nah this one has to stay 😂 back in the dark box of old frags it goes…it’s just such a smoky, cosy vanilla with great longevity. Not the most sophisticated or high quality but for nostalgia factor alone I’m keeping this. Perfect bedtime scent

Queen_esther

Let. Her. Sit.
Seriously, when I first sprayed her I got the most offensive powdery grandma smell that persisted over a month. 2 weeks later i can finally smell the sweet ambery oud people were raving about. Its a cute cosy oud, very close to oud Mood minus the rose. Don't over spray if you're in a closed space as this can become over kill. Nice warm spicy cosy winter frag.

janineebofeenie

I was so excited to get Raghba, I read in the reviews that it had a sour saliva smell. And that is exactly what I got. I was like, WTF? So I almost wrote her off. She's been macerating for about four months and out of curiosity, I just sprayed her. Lawd! Gorgeous! No more saliva. Spicy, sweet, exotic and with nuance. I hope the maceration does the trick for Raghba Intense Wood. I also get saliva smell from that one. Maybe that sour smell comes from the oud? Anyways, I guess, maceration is the key to these middle eastern fragrances.

CalliopeBelle

It smells like a giant stick of high quality incense. That's all I smell. Nothing else. For me this is not offensive. It's just not wearable. I'm going to use it as a bathroom spray.

AlvaAnnie

Dont buy this just from the tiktok reviews.

uhohstinky

I didn't like 24 Gold and l don't like this!

Zepster77

The comments describing this juice as “musty old diabetic-breath” and such below are hilarious entertainment.
This is an excellent perfume, that just happens to be widely available at a great price.
I love how it’s sweet but not too sweet.
Slightly dusty but not too dry, nor cloying as some middle-eastern fragrances can be.
Easily and with pleasure worn by me, a young (at heart) masculine male.
I thought that I was the one with the untrained nose until reading the grumpy naysayers below.
One of the best most interesting Lattafa fragrances yet overshadowed by newer hype beasts, this one remains an under-the-radar banger. Not a fan personally (yet) of any other Lattafa perfumes, but the full unused bottle I recently got of this (manufacture date 2014!) is absolutely scrumptious… gifted to my young adult daughter, she loves it and wears it a lot.

jwc001

A great perfume: sweet, vanilla, but also a bit of wood and with that touch of incense. I like the balance. Very easy to pull the trigger hard - it doesn’t overpower the room. Sits quite close to the skin after 30 mins - but you feel like you’re walking in a cloud of the stuff, even though nobody notices it unless they come in close. I love that.

I’m on my second bottle. As I say, you can really let loose with this. Worthy of a backup, perhaps.

Hammered

Are you guys sure it’s been discontinued? Seems readily available on fragrancenet as well as other sites for the normal price.

Detman101

@JoPolsdottir:
That is the same experience I have had with "Raghba".
It smells like the breath of an old person with diabetes. That musty "old smell" mixed with diabetic breath...absolutely nauseating. I put my bottle in the "donation/Swap/Sell" bin and haven't looked back at it once.

JoPolsdottir

From the notes I was sure that I would love this so I blind-bought. This is the first time a perfume has made me nauseous. I tested it in three rounds, going all in. Yes, I like the sweetness, the caramel, the vanilla. It does smell quite incency too, which one might like or not. But there is a weird metallic smell, like blood, and something that smells like saliva - I never even considered saliva to have a smell! And this weird note keeps on going throughout the whole experience. It litterally made me gag.
I sold the bottle. But I wonder if it would have made any difference to let it macerate for a fee months and trying again - it can't be right that this perfume is the same as others rave about?
I have since made it a rule of thumb to let middle eastern fragrances sit before I judge them, mabey up to half a year.

Kestisss

I kinda regret blind buying it... I m gourmand perfume fan but this is not for me.. to smooky and tingly

Lgenic

Raghba is honestly that girl”
My boss complimented this perfume and the office and he has a very exposed and old money persona.
It gives you the confidence to embody yourself and step into places. Love it! And paired with BR540?! You won’t let anyone sniff on you for free

In Fragrant Bliss

Go for it blindfolded, if a tooth decaying sweet fragrance is what one is looking for.
That said, it is well constructed for the price with below par ingredients. Therefore, its okay, I guess.

pureangelgirl

raghba is a treat. I just received her today as a blind buy, this is my second ever arab perfume and my first Lattafa!
upon first spray, this smells to me like an old book, with a leather cover and yellow pages, laid upon a wooden table. but in comes this beautiful and sweet vanilla, as if you've lit a candle beside it.
raghba is spicy and tingly, pleasant and cozy.
I don't see anybody mentioning this but after an hour or so she smells to me like straight-up baklava! I also get a sort of maple syrup stickiness, which is soooo inviting and sweet

Vicky1100

The scent is good but the issue here is the longevity and sillage it's very weak to be honest.

JusttheFactsMan

#390 in my "Tour de Fragrance"

I purchased Raghba for Men seven or eight months ago and it's one for my favorite all time scents. When I saw this back in March I bought it without checking out the reviews, and it's sat on a shelf since. I try to give all the Middle Eastern products six months before opening them, but I don't really know first hand if that is real or myth as I have never opened an Arab frag on arrival, shelved it, and tried it again months later to find it evolved.

I was assuming this would be a flanker for Ragba for Men. Absolutely no relationship whatever between the two. This is a vanilla-oud-amber EDP in its own right. Definitely sweet, almost gourmand, not quite Haagen Dazs Butter Pecan. Great sillage and longevity, to my nose close enough to substitute for 24 Gold Oud, but a more potent EDP version for ten dollars less. I am satisfied and fulfilled, and I think you too will enjoy this scent for occasional casual use in cold weather.

cdcs

First impressions: I just got my decant and this smells like a mix of cheaper version of Bouquet Ideale and burnt plastic. Kind of stomach churning, almost like when you have this beautiful cake, but in the midst of the scent of it you smells the filling that went sour. I will let this sit for a while and come back to it. If my opinion changes, I’ll update this.

Emoody

This is the cheapest perfume in my country so literally everyone wears it rich, poor, clean , unhygienic, EVERYONE. They wear this all the time even in hot summer days which is not suitable whatsoever. I began to detest it in spite of the fact that it’s a nice fragrance.

Lorinica

I'm inlove. Bought it in summer I liked it yet it was just nothing special. But I always macerate 'messy new' fragrances... So I let it macerate for 3 months and first day wearing it after meceration it was a colder autumn day and omg I've fallen in love... Overdose of thick brown sugar/molases syrup, supported with huge amount of vanilla and woods. It's a bit spicy, incensy, I detect no oud (eventhough I like moderate oud nouances). It's just gorgeous. It's sickly sweet but wood and incense notes just compliment it so much.

I adore this one ( after maceration and in mildly cold weather) but it's not a safe blind buy.... But then again if you can purchase it for 12-13€/ big bottle then it's worth risking a blind buy if you like thick, middle eastern, syrupy kind of fragrances.

The scent is very linear, projection I'd say is cca 1,5m, logevity 10 hrs, after 5 hours it still goes as strong as majority of designer fragrances after first hour... This one I can overspray - 9 sprays :)) but last time I oversprayed Khamrah - 6 sprays and I was choking :)

I think this one really depends on skin chemistry. I had to return Opulent red due to gasoline/rubbed tyres kind of smell on my skin but with this one I've got luck. Pure serenity, thickness.... oasis of peace & sugarness.... Of course I'm aware that this is not a top quality fragrance but it's different, big deviation from designer fragrances and this one is a big love for me, I'd say I even prefer this over Khamrah my sweet little apple pie dessert

EDIT: yesterday I tried Xerjoff's Bouquet ideale. 70% similar. The difference is that Xerjoff is rounder, better blended more refined and sophysticated

Try layer it with Burberry her Elixir... bbq marshmallow heaven!

feketeagnes

thank god i could get rid of this, it's absolutely terrible, made me gag. there are only two notes, straight up sugar and oud. there is no difference between the head, heart and base notes, only these two things can be felt from start to finish. longevity and projection is above average, but thats not a surprise from Lattafa.

Fatimahosseiney

I am in love with this 🤌🏻 sugary vanilla and gentle oud, I can’t stop wearing this since I got it, also layering it with just two puff of Arabian tonka by Montale or Gravity by Borouj, makes a great long lasting beast combo🤌🏻

Nerdboy83

Layer this with "Maple Sryup" essential oil. 👍

_manahiltahir

While i agree this is not much heavy on Oud, it is a sugar and incense bomb. Personally, it HAS to be layered with a cleaner and more mellow scent for it to shine completely. On its own, a big no.

Lgenic

Raghba is that scent that can become yours when you pair it the right way. I do think it’s very similar to oud Ispahan though, just a cheaper version.
I pair Raghba with clean scents or the ysl Libre and it just distinguishes you as that woman that has your life all figured out; mysterious, powerful, smart and sexy as hell.
It’s a non negotiable on my scent stack.

creepy pasta

Smells like an expensive commercial perfume.

qqjkl

The beginning for me is sweet with a little bit of spice in it. But after a couple of minutes, tobacco and cherry come through. I imagine a man leaving a smoldering cigarette on the table next to a bowl of rich sweet cherry jam. The smell feels very comfortable, soothing and gives a certain sense of security (probably because of the masculinity of tobacco notes), you feel protected in it. I very much like it on me, although it would be interesting to smell this perfume on a man.

Amber&Oud

alleged notes:
vanilla, sugar, agarwood, incense, sandalwood, musk

what i smell:
agarwood and maybe some sort of spice

scent event / my reaction:
the moment i sprayed this, the man i am engaged to said, oh god that smells terrible. that all said, when allowed to macerate, jeez louise this stuff slaps. the sugary, gourmand top notes seems to have settled and it smells great. not a true gourmand, but i would layer this with dalal

Huasa

At first spray, it is kind of masculine, you get an arab vibe immediately. Incense and oud, then it gets more sweet and you can smell the vanilla.
It's has a religous vibe also. take me to church!!

I love it, I just don't know if it's right for me.
I consider this unisex but I do think maybe a male would be more comfortable using it.

Ok so in brief: Incense, Sugar and Vanilla.
Arab-Religous vibe. Calming and warm.

Edit: Once the inscense note disapates It reminds me a bit of Vanilla Blonde from Jehanne Rigaud.

J'aimeunefragrance

The agarwood/incense here is not my cup of tea. Moderate performance.

LilyRose1

I only get the saliva vibe from this and can’t stand it. Makes me sad because I wanted to like it.

Northofnothing

Most of the time I feel either broken or crazy when it comes to what I detect versus what everyone else seems to detect when it comes to notes or general vibe and smell. This perfume seems to be no different because I don't get strong vanilla or cinnamon, this almost pulls like it is in the same family as by the fireplace, not a dupe, but similar. You could layer them and they would compliment one another. For the most part I think I smell mostly incense and it's like a sweet incense. Like if you were a hippie or you are going for that witchy vibe I feel like you could wear this and it would make sense. I think it lasts fairly long, I don't think it's one of those perfumes that is obnoxiously strong but it is there. I'm going to let mine sit for a while but I will probably be layering it under things like by the fireplace or pairing it with bath & body works body sprays such as bonfire bash or fireside flurries.

TiffanyO

I feel like there is definitely cinnamon in this, it's the most notable thing I can smell! I absolutely adore! Warm vanilla, cinnamon and spice. A new LOVE ♥️

876Beauty

Finally got my nose on the infamous Raghba. This fragrance is a sweet, woody vanilla with a base of oud and incense. It has a similar sugary base as Lattafa Maharjan Gold, however, this fragrance has oud and the incense is way more pronounced. This is a much better introductory fragrance to middle eastern scents compared to shagaf oud.
The oud becomes less prominent and the fragrance becomes creamier due to the sandalwood as it dries down.

If you are a fan of sweet, woody vanillas then this fragrance would be right up your alley. This fragrance is best worn at nights in cooler weather.

I personally would not purchase a full bottle as this is a bit too mature for my taste though I do believe it is indeed a unisex fragrance.

marvoliarty

Smells like oud and playdough

elina_molin

This is getting better and better. A quite dark vanilla for autum and colder days. I dont get the saliva note.

Eve_evolution

An inexpensive sugary, vanilla-sequel comforting date syrup. Has some oud and incense in the dry down. I don’t get ‘saliva’ but I can see where it’s coming from, a kind of slightly sweaty whiff. Overall, an affordable vanilla with a tiny Middle Eastern twist.

Trexyvexy

I have let this sit for over a month. I even had high hopes for this as it is a love on social media. Unfortunately this is a ick for me. I have noticed a more sweet and ambery note more prominent in this but the sweet is more of a sickly, unhealthy sweet, not a pleasant sweetness, and the amber only goes so far to cover up the stinky breath smell. The bad breath smell is still the main character in this and I will be giving this away. Anyone looking into buying this please be aware you may be wasting your money.
Update: So I decided to spray this in the air and its so bad someone said to not do that again. You have been warned!

RXQM

Smells like sugar and arab

Salma Swaleh

I have tried to love this scent even layered it with Shamz Al Emarat to make it more sugary but can't get over the "saliva" note. I don't know what it is but it is a no for me. Other people i know love this scent and don't detect that note.
I wanted to love this so much but I will have to gift it to someone

tmhlongwe

Am I the only one who thinks there’s ISO-E Super in this? because whenever I sniff my jersey after spraying this I get that comforting creaminess I get from Molecule 01 by Eccentric Molecules (which is my favourite ever scent).

As much as I like this fragrance, I sometimes get that spit smell from it especially if I over-spray. I would recommend if you like sweet scents and getting into real oud. The oud in here to me smells similar to that used in Nefs by Nishane. Nefs is much more expensive and refined but there’s a note I find in both fragrances and I think it’s the Oud. Don’t get me wrong, raghba smells nothing close to Nefs it’s just that one note in the opening of both.

Over all: it’s great value for money, smells more expensive than what it actually costs.
I give it a 7/10

TunyaPe

Definitely a blueprint for Kalemat. This one is much more ambery, musty, oily, sticky, and sweet. It stays relatively close to my skin, regardless of its dense sillage. The density is almost like patchouli oil.

Jarka1987

It's my bedtime scent, very comforting, longevity is nuclear, price is really low

jshough

This doesn’t smell exactly like I was expecting it to, but I still absolutely love it. My wife and I got married on Halloween a few years ago; it’s our absolute favorite holiday. Every year in fall she makes her own mulled apple cider, and Raghba smells just like it in the opening. As it starts to dry down I get more vanilla and incense. This is oudy, but not too oudi—very clean and somewhat syrupy. I love sweet fragrances, and I can’t recommend this one for you if you don’t because this is VERY sweet.

Raghba makes me so excited for spooky season to get here! 🍂🍎🎃

profoxional

I’ve been wearing this on and off for about a year now! Great in cooler temperatures. Warm, sweet, and a little spicy. It dries down into a soft vanilla. Great sillage- the cashier at the Piggly Wiggly recently called it “intoxicating.” I like layering with tobacco scents in the fall!

MrsStoj

I really wanted to like this! The descriptions from others on here sounded like I’d love it but sadly I didn’t get from it what everyone else did.
All I got was sugar and vanilla-soaked cardboard. No incense or oud. I left it for over a year and tried again but it was still the same to my nose.
I own a lot Arabian fragrances and this is among a small group that I don’t like.
I get a similar vibe from Al Rehab’s Sultan al Oud but find it a better, perhaps it works more for me in oil form.

LKV

Beautiful! Comforting sweet vanilla.

lepx0x

This is absolutely gorgeous.

Leans completely unisex.
The oud is not strong in this so if you’re someone who is not a fan of oud it is not the main note in here. This smells exactly like “amber” incense you get from your local Indian store or spiritual shop.

Below-the-Radar Incense, Vanilla & Oud. I got this after I had fallen in love with Shaghaf Oud Swiss Arabian back in the day. This is pretty tame for an oud, It's a sweet and incense-y vanilla-oud. Sweet but not too sweet, oud but not too oud-y..... if anything my first reaction was that it's kind of basic. But coming back to it after awhile, I'm really enjoying the incense here, and I still find it kinda basic for a vanilla-oud but in a good, flying-under-the-radar, understated-but-you-could-wear-it-anywhere kind of way. The sugar and sandalwood bring a brown-sugar vibe, and the incense leans near-cinnamon. There is a forward traditional amber accord here which may give some a Grandpa's shaving cream vibe, but not overly so and the incense and oud outweigh it and give a hint of mystery. Long into the drydown, there is a faint funk of oud note on the skin. Performance is above average in general but below average for an oud imho. All in all this is soft, sweet & wearable with a faint hint of mystery.

Contrast to Raghba Wood Intense Lattafa:
These are different, but they share the same DNA. Raghba Wood Intense, like the name says, has the woody notes dialed way up, and the smoky quality is more forward, while the vanilla is more forward in Raghba (OG). Long into the drydowns this has a residual ambroxan note on the skin, while Raghba (OG) has a faint funk of oud. Roughly equivalent performance, but slightly better for Raghba Wood Intense.

Overall: affordable & wearable, incense-vanilla-oud scent with slightly above average performance. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

G.GirlSwagger

Raghba smells exactly like those Indian style solid amber incense to me. I love this smell. I will wear this type of scent at any point in the year but I can see why people would think of it as a winter type scent. It's suitable for either men or women. I find incense type EDPs to be gender neutral. Very strong & reasonably priced. The bottle is huge & I will probably have it a cpl years even with regular use.

Pewbom

It smells like an old man to me, but in a good way. It’s reminded me of my childhood. As an Arab and Khaleeji girl, we actually don’t use lattafa at all. We don’t know her! and I don’t get the vibe over this brand, but overall, it’s quite nice.

terigurl

I've read a few mentions of it smelling like Saliva lol and last night when I sprayed it on the back of my hand I was finally able to smell the saliva scent for the first few minutes of spraying. After that I smelled the sweetness and incense. I've had this fragrance for a few years and never wore it out. I'm just not sure if I could pull this off and if it would be offensive to some. It smells sweet, boozy and smokey which all sounds great but it's beast mode and you really must love oud and sweet fragrances to enjoy this. I'm on the fence between keeping this or decluttering. I just don't know where I could wear this to. I decluttered Shaghaf Oud and I regret it now but I also didn't know where to wear Shaghaf Oud as well as I'm a homebody and don't go out much. It's noon and I can still smell this on the back of my hand from last night.

Josephjo

This one is definitely an interesting perfume, it’s good and bad. I can say right now on the initial testing that it’s not my favorite it’s sweet. too sweet, sickeningly, sweet! and the vanilla note is nice but the oud and the smokiness and the powder just creates a yummy but sickening combination. It’s not a bad fragrance, but definitely risky to blind buy, I’ll probably be returning this. because it honestly just smells like I smeared a vanilla cupcake all over me.

Wael'Sniffing

Quite a weak scent. Barely smells it after 30mins. it is a no from me.
Buy Ameer al Oudh instead.

Autumn_Moon

I wasn't quite sure what would happen when I decided to try Raghba (as oud is one of the listed notes, and the few Western-made "oud" fragrances I've tried just *didn't* pan out for me at all -- TF Oud Wood was, regrettably, a screechy, chemical mess to my nose, no matter *how* many times I tested it -- and I wholeheartedly *tried* to like that one), but... I was in the mood to challenge my preconceptions. (FYI, I sampled this perfume indoors in an air-conditioned environment, in case that's important.)

Once the initial blast of alcohol evaporates from my skin, there's something about Raghba that immediately smells soft and supple... pliable and leathery... not like "shoe" leather, though... like suede (even though suede isn't listed in the notes at all). That's what it makes me think of. I kept coming back to the "texture" of suede every time I inhaled this fragrance. I appreciate the smell of suede, and I don't have many fragrances that remind me of it. So far, so good...

Given the listed notes of "vanilla" and "sugar," I was expecting something a bit more on the sweet and/or "dessert-like" side (especially since, in my experience, sugary fragrances seem to have a tendency to lean even *sweeter* on my skin). This one doesn't do that, though; it seems content to stay in the "semi-sweet" zone. (I don't mind either way; I already have a handful of super-sweet perfumes that I love, but I also enjoy things that are the polar opposite of those scents. This one might be a nice "middle ground.") The woody notes (maybe this is the sandalwood and oud, acting in concert?) seemed to balance things out. The "animalic" oud that I was hesitant to encounter does not appear in this perfume -- for me, anyway! I sense a hint of vanilla, a sprinkling of sugar, and those ever-present woody notes (which also feel like they are finely-powdered, like sawdust).

I don't get much in the way of incense (but I wouldn't *mind* if it appeared). Also, Raghba doesn't come across as overly smoky to me. Is the listed "incense" note supposed to represent a stick of incense before it is burned, or while it is smoldering? I'm not sure. (Then again, incense means different things to different cultures -- perhaps my brain isn't picking up "incense" simply because I haven't experienced the UAE version of it yet. My go-to "incense" perfume is Unum LAVS, which is quite different, and hails from a different part of the world. This might explain why I perceive it the way I do. As with all scents, YMMV.)

Is it affordable? Absolutely! (Hey, you can buy a small bottle of Raghba for what a tiny sample of most other perfumes will cost you these days! That fact alone makes it more accessible than many of today's mainstream fragrances.) In that sense, it's worth the risk; if you don't like it, you can probably find someone else in the perfume community (or your family) to pass it along to who *will* enjoy it.

Longevity isn't insane, but for what you get, it's nothing to complain about (around the 3-6 hour mark, and closer to 3 hours than 6 hours, in my experience). Projection seems minimal; this feels like a skin scent to me (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, depending on your situation).

For now, it's an interesting scent that I feel is worth further exploration; it isn't quite like anything else I own. I'll wait a while, keep trying it, and see what develops.

gemeljoseph

Similar to Khamrah but better in my opinion thanks to the delicious and sweet vanilla note. Love the Oud in the dry down as well. Very underrated perfume. Cozy and yummy fall scent for cool weather. I feel like this would stink in the summer. I don’t get the spit or saliva scent that people talk about but I understand that we’re all entitled to our individual olfactory senses.

I layered with the Choco Musk oil and smelled like a delicious dark chocolate chip cookie all day!

Boma

@katriinagg - yes, some lattafa perfumes come with a round sticker, and some with a rectangular sticker on the bottle itself (usually at the berry bottom) .However the package it comes in must have a distinctive holographic seal. This two signs are the proof of authenticity. I hope this helps <3

Jessethewalrus

It has this strong floral, old, church lady smell. I love oud/vanilla scents but this is just hard to smell without thinking "my 90 year aunt would love this". I only paid 11 bucks for it so..

lmnsvgz

A very sweet, heavy vanilla that has a dirty quality to it. Not similar to Bewitching Yasmine.

Charmedbymeghan

Coming back to this again...
I almost didn't get this because of the oud note because I've come to realize I am pretty sensitive to oud. And I'm glad I gave this a chance because I can't smell ANY oud at all. This smells like a nice sweet vanilla with some incense & woods to give it more body. Smells much more expensive than it cost (about $5 for the smaller perfume bottle). Great for travel. I can see myself going through this and buying the large size next time.

katriinagg

hey, I have more of a question than a review. In total I have 4 lattafa fragrances. 3 of them had the square holographic sticker. my latest purchase - Khaltaat Al Arabia Royal Blends, has a round sticker with a different print. Does anyone else know of this, and does lattafa make multiple sticker types? Unfortunately i cannot add any pictures here.

Scents8ionalwoman

I bought Raghba many years ago because of a YouTube fragrance guru who I don't think is on YouTube anymore. Anyway, when I sprayed it on back then, I didn't like it at all. All of the notes, the vanilla, oud, incense, and sugar were so well blended I guess, to where I was not able to decipher any one or two of them as anything I can recognize. All I can recall is a sweet syrupy,( hell, maybe THAT was the vanilla?) and an ever so slight cinnamon smell. Some likened it to the fragrance, Tabu, an oldie, and others has said that it reminded them of cola. to me, it smelled like neither and I tried to wear it a couple of times. It was just an unpleasant smelling mess to me, and I didn't understand why would anyone want to smell like that. Was a total miss for me. I think that I either threw it away or gave it to my daughter, who said that she didn't mind the way that it smelled.

Jasmin1985

I dont know wat its this fragrance....not my taste....this its not wat i want it...n not save blind buy.....i will keep this prfume for 2 moth n see after that....wat i get....lattafa sory too say...this fragrance i will give this...👎👎👎👎👎

Adrian2379

This fragrance is nice but it's so intimate I had to stick my skin in my nose to actually get a scent and this is after maceration of 2 months
No projection what so ever

Lotte_Liese

For the longest time I pondered on how a fragrance could possibly smell like saliva, as some reviewers have made note of. Well, today I was picking up some baklava and dried apricots from the local Turkish shop, my eyes zoomed on a row of Ard al Zaafaran and Lattafa perfume miniatures and oils behind the cashier, and I decided today would be the day I'd finally hop on the hype train.
Oh my, saliva is truly the only word that could describe how this smells on my skin. On clothing, it projects more of a softly sweet light vanilla with the barest hint of woods, but on my skin, it's all saliva.
It's amazing how one perfume could give off different experiences to different noses and skin chemistries. I'm quite sad I wasn't one of the super responders who fell in love and hard, with this cheapie. But I'm not surprised, I haven't had wins with the Lattafas, Asdaafs and Ard al Zaafarans that I've tested whilst others have had nothing but praise.

exactnose

Based on the notes and reviews, I was really looking forward to this fragrance. On first spray, there is a strong synthetic vanillin note that does not disappear. For those who know what I'm taking about, this fragrance reeks of formaldehyde. It has the same sickly and synthetic quality to it, and it's very offputting. It's priced at $7 a bottle in the smaller size, so I'm not too surprised. Had really wanted to like this. The oud is definitely backseat to the synthetic vanilla.

ellasfragrancelibrary

Okay, wow! This is probably one of the more interesting and unique fragrances I have, and it’s also my first oud. It has that slightly generic ‘warm vanilla sugar’ smell to it along with the oud. It’s a little jarring and screechy upon the first spray but after about 45 seconds it starts to mellow and warm up. Something about the vanilla and wood/incense together is making it smell almost like coffee or chai, and slightly chocolatey; very sweet and delicious. It is unisex but I would honestly see a woman wearing this. I’ve seen a couple of people point out that they get a ‘breath’ accord and I, unfortunately, do get that ever so slightly upon first spray. Overall this is a very unique and beautiful vanilla fragrance. (Especially in the fall and winter!) I wouldn’t particularly recommend this to a fragrance newbie but any true gourmand/vanilla lover should really like this. EDIT

I take literally everything I said back. This is disgusting. I sprayed it all over my skin and clothes and about 30 minutes in I started getting this underlying nasty hot and stale breathe smell and it was really annoying and I honestly wanted to take it off. I couldn’t ignore it and it gradually became more and more nauseating the longer I wore it. My boyfriend came over later in the evening and when I told him to smell my perfume out of curiosity he was really confused and told me “I thought that *smell* was something you spilled on yourself, I just didn’t bring it up.” So needless to say that was my last straw and I threw it away and took a shower immediately afterwards ….

Charmedbymeghan

Wow I bought this fragrance for $5.99 and I am so impressed. This smells like it could be a $300 niche perfume. And to think I almost judged it by smelling it on paper...

I have been looking for a good woody perfume that is easy to wear, not be too sweet and this one fits that. I would also like to pick up a molecule+woody fragrance too (this is more a vanilla-woody)... but WOW am I impressed. I first gave a few sprays on the box it came in to give a quick test and got turned off. It smells very "middle eastern fragrance" and I've just been getting sick of that dna lately. A few hours later I came back to it and kinda begrudgingly sprayed a few times on the back of my hand - and what a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE THAT MADE!!! Proof that smelling a fragrance on skin vs paper is just different. I got this beautiful woodiness, reminding me of Le Labo Santal 33 or something in that realm. Just so good. This isn't a dupe and it has a more sweetness, but definitely not too sweet imo. And to think I had been buying decants and samples of niche fragrances to find this scent - and I got it for only $5.99!!!! Y'all! Do yourself a favor and get on Triple Traders and get yo'self some goodies!! I was able to find a coupon code to offset the $7 shipping and no tax either. Enough said.

_manahiltahir

Strictly for winter and definitely an average perfume.
I do not get the vanilla whatsoever; it is just a heavy dose of sugar, incense, and oud. Saying that this is a good one for people who don’t like alot of oud is a misleading statement.
The projection and lasting power however, is impressive.

Bronstet

* Unusual and enticing blend of gourmand and wood fragrances
* Sophisticated blend of sweet, vanilla, spices, oud wood and powder that leans towards amber
* Oud, sandalwood and incense come out on the drydown
* Oud is tamed down by the sweet vanilla
* Affordable
* Beautiful bottle

* Could have been a viable Stronger With You clone without the oud note
* Outdone by other vanilla forward competitors including from its own maker Lattafa (ex: Versace Eros, Lattafa Kamrah, Armani Stronger With You line, etc.)
* Ugly box
* Soft performance; overspraying and respraying required

Raghba (not to be confused with the newer Raghba For Men) is a pretty sophisticated fragrance which is belied by its unsophisticated gaudy box. It's got a great mix of sweet, vanilla, spice, oud wood and powder aromas that leans towards amber overall. Oud, sandalwood and incense then come out on the drydown. This is heady stuff. The beautiful bottle and affordable price seal the deal. For those who are adverse to oud, the sweet vanilla goes a very long way to taming it down.

That said, oud is still polarizing so be aware that it's there. I love oud but I recognize that there's a reason that popular vanilla forward fragrances such as Versace Eros and Armani Stronger With You don't include that note. In fact, this could have been an extremely viable clone of Strong With You but for that oud note.

Raghba has some serious competition in the vanilla forward fragrance arena. Aside from Eros and the Stronger With You line which lean amber as well, there's Killian Angels' Share and even some of Lattafa's own colognes such as Khamrah. Raghba is far more competitive on price and gives very high quality for that price, though. Easy recommend if only to try the vanilla and oud combination out. Note that performance is soft, so overspraying and respraying throughout the day are required.

Tinabill

If you cannot handle oud in any of dose, steer clear from Raghba. If however, you are dipping your toes into oud perfumes and middle eastern fragrances, this is a good place to start.
I live in the Middle East and I’ve often smelled ouds on passersby and emanating from mosques. Some combinations were too heavy and would flare up my asthma while others felt mysterious and sultry. I was too scared to try for myself until my 40s. Raghba was the first I bought to test and it was a good place to start. While rose-oud combos, especially if syrupy sweet, seem to be too much for me to handle, the lack of rose here made it much more tolerable (both are very complex notes on their own and two of them is just too much).
The oud to me is not as strong as some of the reviews seem to get, it is mostly a very sweet vanilla darkened by sandalwood incense. Here the incense is more woodsy than resinous. I don’t get frankincense or myrrh . The oud just adds to the darkness, depth and mystery, without being too overbearing. There is no barn yard or band aid accents to it.
The sillage is enormous on first spraying but reduces gradually to a 1 foot scent bubble, and the longevity is excellent. Start with two half spritzes as you start dressing and reassess if you need more after you’re done.
This is strictly a winter autumn fragrance for me, although in the Middle East oud is worn year-round, but honestly I prefer more western perfumes for summer and spring.
Overall the composition is a beautiful, smoky vanilla-oud. Give it try. At this price you cannot lose (much😂).

freenradical

I want to preface my review by stating that I purchased this fragrance as a semi-blind buy. I'd previously purchased Raghba as bakhoor and fell in love with the creamy, sweet, but sharp and musky notes that are not uncommon for bakhoors and oud resins.

My first spray of the EDP on my skin was rather sharp and reminded me of leather and tobacco, which I am not really a fan of on my skin. After dry down I was met with the warmest vanilla scent! It lasted for hours, even after a bath.

amih29

So so strong I could smell it from the other side of the room - and the lid was closed, the bottle unsprayed in days! I literally had to throw it away, it's the only perfume I treated so badly. I could not stand the (extremely) persistent synthetic sweet cloying note. Never again.

SashaWasha

Very Heavy. Old school. Middle Eastern. Sweet but not in a good way. Toothache. Headache. I've heard people say that you have to spay it, get air in it, then a few weeks and come back to it. I couldn't wait. It was only $13 but i quickly sold it. I never got a cola smell or the other notes. It was just overpowering oud and amber. This may be better for someone who lives in a cold climate.

princesslopez4890

This is a true middle eastern fragrance. Thought I would love it because the reviews sound amazing but unfortunately it was not the case for me. It’s pleasant enough for me to use as a layering fragrance from time to time but it’s not my cup of tea so when I’m done with this I will not be repurchasing it. Since it’s only $20 on Amazon I decided to blind buy it. I was hoping to get a bit of a yummy gourmand vanilla but I did not. Out of all the notes I only experience the vanilla, incense and oud. I don’t get any of the sugar, musk or sandalwood. Longevity isn’t the best either in my opinion I get about 3-4hrs which is good enough for me when it comes to this particular fragrance. I suggest sampling first if you can!

jxssicamidnight

I love Lattafa fragrances so much!
I’m getting a sweet spicy organic cola vibe from this on first spray, it’s absolutely gorgeous!
You must be a fan of incense to appreciate this beauty because it is heavy on the oud, sandalwood, sugar and incense with vanilla and musk trailing behind.

This is certainly unisex although a bit closer to the masculine end of the unisex spectrum, but being androgynous - I love that!

I wouldn’t say it is my favourite from Lattafa - I adore khamra and Ameer Al oud intense oud the most, but fabulous addition to my collection!

Pairs very well with kayali’s vanilla 28 if you require some more vanilla.

rejahnewp

This is a a fragrance for the perfume lover that has an acquired taste. You have to be familiar with and able to enjoy incense to appreciate this beauty. Think of myrrh that has not been burned, it’s in the package. It is boozy with a heavy dose of sugar and vanilla. It’s creamy and smooth from the sandalwood. The oud note adds depth and rounds out that sweetness to prevent it from going the gourmand route.

I’d say this is unisex, feminine leaning simply because the sugar is prominent to my nose and on my skin. Men could totally pull this off if they don’t mind the sweetness.

Overall, it is a wonderful and quite unique scent. :)

Evyan517

Ok is it just me or does this smell like Dior Addict in the dry down???

R0ssie

It smells like vanilla with a touch of wood and heavier on the incense to my nose. Feels warm and comforting.
Doesn't last on my skin or clothes even with over spraying.
Best worn for short errands outside

Scentoholic4lyfe

This is a beautiful scent. I'm not a fan of oud, but I took a chance on this and I'm really glad I did. I've had it for a couple of weeks and even in that short amount of time, it has matured; it smells even more beautiful, smoother and more refined. After buying this little beauty, I took a chance on Shaghaf Oud...boy oh boy am I happy!! It's just gorgeous. I now layer the two and worryingly, I seem to be sniffing myself far too many times a day these days, lol

gokcekurt

Bouquet Ideale is my signature scent and I like Babylon almost the same. So I really like this scent profile. That’s why I couldn’t resist trying this one out for such a small price! Definitely not as smooth as Bouquet Ideale, but it’s 90 percent identical! I’d say this is sweeter and more rough on the edges like others said. Lasts forever, you will definitely smell it in the next morning. I also don’t get oud smell, it’s not strong as it is in Arabian Tonka for example. I think for the price point you should definitely have this one in your repertoire! If bouquet Ideale is 10/10 this is 8,5/10

meama

A nice sweet vanilla with a tiny touch of wood (and even more tinier touch of smoke) .
It's very very light and need to overspray a lot to obtain a light effect but at least it doesn't smell cheap and toilet deodorizer like a Mancera or a lot of Montale.
Just a very diluted good niche type of perfume (and so even 30€ is overpriced for such a mediocre/ zero longevity and sillage)

DustyMemphis

@Shahrzaad12, If it wasn't for free, it wouldn't really be "Giving Away" now would it!? ;)

PKSMKE

This is everything I wanted By the Fireplace to be. Sweet and Smoky.

Go4buck

09.2022 batch, reformulated...what a shame. Had these years ago, it was a power house, the liquid is not even the same anymore, use to be red, now it.s orange.

Darkeyed

Raghba on my skin is a warm and creamy mixture of vanilla and incense. It reminded me of Voile d'ocre from Yves Rocher at certain times, but sweeter, warmer and creamier.

I really love it and will add it to my collection. I tried 1 spritz at the shop and could still smell the next day on my skin.

julianne.dubois

Smells like something I picked up in Egypt called "Kalemat". So, smelled this before. But when I first had Kalemat, I was obsessed with it ^_^. The notes commenters speak of,like rasberry or rootbeer..I get what they mean. Some notes can translate to that. I kinda smell a candy dish in an old wood cottage on a warm day. I dunno if that makes sense to anyone else, but thats what I think of.

Update- still getting the rasberry..but also some kind of vanilla cookie there. Been wearing it more lately and loving it again.

Esther pey

I can’t stand this one at all,This isn’t for me

Printeza7

This is amazing!!!! Can believe the price, sweet, warm, deep, smoky, everything I like but super balanced! Even if it doesn't last, just put it on 10mins ago, I don't care!! Put more when needed at this price! Such great scent!!

Mahsa ranjbar

No vanilla at all
Just oud,incense and smoke
To me it’s gross I can’t stand it

jokcoy

Love the warm vanilla but honestly it doesn't last long on my skin. It's not very sweet but it's the right kind of sweet and spicy. Although in my place here is kinda hard to pull off winter/fall frags, but this one seems okay during the night time. Not safe for blind buy tho

noodlehead19

I bought this after seeing a lot of mixed reviews, and now that I have it I understand both sides. it really is an interesting scent; the spices and the vanilla work SO well together and I know it would be perfect for the colder months. I can definitely understand the connection/reference to "middle eastern bakery/baked goods." however, I do pick up on a saliva-esque note that is not at all pleasant (is it the oud? the spices? both? who knows). I don't dislike it, but it's so far away from my own personal style that I can't really justify keeping it. it definitely takes a certain type of person to wear this one, and that's not me lol. AMAZING value for the price & really well done for a cheapie imo. worth grabbing if you're into spicy, rich, warm-smelling scent profiles.

Ovoronkova

I like it but doesn’t stay long on my skin

ChocoLei

Am I the only one who gets Angels' Share from this? I swear, this straight up smells like a softer, sweeter but less boozy version of Angels' Share. At first I do get a slightly dirty oud but then it becomes this.

This perfume is so good, I can't stop smelling my wrist. I'm at lost--- should I buy this, considering I plan on getting Angels' Share no matter what? Is it redundant?

I feel like Raghba is perfect when I want to keep a small scent bubble though, as Angels' Share can easily be overwhelming. Hm. I might give in and purchase Raghba...

Edit 05/23: I'm trying it once again, after trying Xerjoff's Bouquet Idéale as well.
While I still love Raghba, I feel like owning Angels' Share, Vanilla Diorama and Bouquet Idéale would be enough for me. Plus, I plan to sometimes layer AS with Kayali's Vanilla 28 so this will give me my sweeter vanilla fix whenever I crave it.

If I had to compare, I'd Raghba is sweeter than Bouquet Idéale, Vanilla Diorama and Angels'Share with the slightest boozy accord. Once the dirty oud accord is gone, it becomes less woody than AS and BI but more than Vanilla Diorama. It definitely smells unisex to me but I could see how some people would perceive as more feminine, because of its very sweet and slightly gourmand nature.

It's an amazing value for the price so if you love this Xmas spices, wood and vanilla DNA I'd totally recommend you Raghba as a qualitative yet very affordable option. But as beautiful as it smells, nothing beats the refinement of the 3 other perfumes above.

Angels' Share had that hot apple pie accord that none of the 3 others have;
Vanilla Diorama, being the most delicate and the softest one, is also more vanillic and enveloping. It exudes a sophisticated yet casual and cozy vibe, it can be more laid back and therefore, is perfect if you want something versatile;
Finally, I find Bouquet Idéale to be a more transparent and refined blend of woods, warm spices and vanilla than Raghba. The vanilla in here is also less sweet, and I'd actually not call Bouquet Idéale a gourmand. It doesn't give a delectable feeling but still, it smells different enough from this happy bunch.

Rawantica

Warm dark sweet vanilla, It is on the heavier side but still smooth, it’s definitely masculine, not feminine at all even though its sweet, I cant pull this of but i know my husband will. It smells identical to noir by BBW , btw this has zero “arabic khaleji” feel to it no wood no spices at all

bloodyheartofparadise

straaaight up oud with a touch of vanilla and not much else, not even half as sweet as people are making out on here i detect no sugar or syrupy sweetness what so ever. no nasty dry down like others have said just linear oud and vanilla from start to finish. performance is pretty good, not a very interesting or complex scent but very decent for such an affordable price however although i personally don't pay attention to gender when it comes to fragrances i would say this leans towards a traditionally masculine scent. i wouldn't recommend blind buying if you aren't already accustom to oud perfumes as that is by far the main note at play here but again, for the price it's not too much of a gamble.

Kizzyb93

Ok so I own many Lattafa fragrances and I like/love most of them however this opens up very sweet, then turns al little spicy dark but if Im honest, this on the dry down reminds me of when youv been to a rave and you can smell amphetamine oozing out of someone’s sweat. That’s exactly what it smells like on my skin once it’s dried down. Really not something I want to smell like

haitangbeidou

Sandalwood comes off very strong on the initial spray but dries down to a pleasant powdery, woody vanilla smell. I didn't find it to be too sweet. I bought a sample of this but would consider getting a full bottle!

briannadedrew

Very sweet, but also very dark. Definitely beast mode and cold weather only. I do like it and it was very cheap so I don't regret blind buying, but very cloying and headache-inducing so I have to be in a particular mood to wear this. For some reason, it reminds me of TF lost cherry but vanilla instead of cherry and spicier rather than boozy.

Mayela#1

Love it!!! I was skeptical because of some of the reviews, but my chemistry embraced it. I feel beautiful wearing it. 😍

Raco22

Already had this from 2-3 weeks ago for $12, yeah its $12 with deodorant after discount😂😎. First impression is like "Anggur Merah" but dry down is something sweet that i love it. Save and macerated this for Ramadhan hope it get better😁

Worth to buy for who like sweet scent.

Apaolone04

I blind bought this fragrance and I have no regrets! When I first sprayed this I thought it smelled similar to Tom fords noir extreme parfum which I have so I did a side by side comparison. Their notes aren’t super similar but I get the same vibe somehow. Noir extreme is more masculine, Raghba is sweeter with more vanilla. I actually prefer Raghba over noir extreme because I used to mix it with vanilla fragrances to get it sweeter. Raghba needs no enhancements. It also projects and lasts longer. I got a lot of comments today which was my first time wearing it. My brother thought it smelled sweet and feminine. My mom really liked it. She thought it smelled powdery and feminine, she compared it to loves baby soft. My sister thought it smelled like air freshener and didn’t like that it was too powdery. I think it’s unisex slightly leaning masculine in the opening but when it dried down I got more of a powdery sweet vanilla incense. It’s so addictive! I was smelling my arm all day. Such a good price too, I’m very happy I bought this.

Edit: This beautiful scent has become one of my new favorites. I had to include this in here but this is one of those perfumes that reignites my love for fragrance. Not only is it so well made and gives lots of compliments but it’s so so strong! This will last overnight on my skin and for weeks on my clothes. I never have to worry about touching up and that’s a luxury to me. I commonly have issues of perfumes not lasting. The price, smell, and strength is all perfect in my opinion!

Mas7erofreali7y

Smells almost like 24 gold scentsory. ylang ylang and labdanum are not listed in the notes but I can sorta smell something like them in tempering but not the drydown wich is strange but I'm it complaining because ita a nice exotic banana sweet thing happening. Defiantly too coming for summer but perfect for colder evenings. Defiantly date night or clubbing smell with all that vanilla. Unisex. I'm impressed with the cheap price too.

Detman101

Why oh why didn't I start out with this one?
Instead I started with "Raghba Wood Intense" and couldn't wear it....too smoky/incensy.
RAGHBA...is perfect!!
Just the right amount of incense to go along with the vanilla and it acts as a PERFECT base layer for "Nishane - Ani" on top!!! I'm wearing these out tonight to band practice. Wife loves it and wound up taking my 50% full bottle of "Raghba Wood Intense". Hopefully it works out better on her...cause it doesn't work for me.

Update to follow....

(The next day)
I couldn't resist wearing RAGHBA last night at band rehearsal. It is the same as what my first two bottles of RWI were!!! That strong but soft warm smoky vanilla with a light oudy kick. I don't think the singers liked it, but the musicians seemed to like it a lot!
Scent lasted through sweat, projected nicely and didn't overpower me at any point. Unlike my last bottle of RWI...this is pleasant and comforting.

23MAY23 UPDATE:
I dunno...this isn't exactly what I wanted. There's not enough smoke...it's oudy...and mildly smoky, but I need more. I think I may order another bottle of RWI and just go lighter on the sprays....because this RAGHBA isn't exactly what I have been looking for.

Putting this one in the Donation bin...

This literally smells like TF Lost Cherry on my skin. I don t know how people sense these awful scents for these bad reviews tho.:)) i couldn’t believe it when I smelled it because I was expecting this to smell awful.

ema2396

I think this is a weird fragrance. I either hate it or like it depending on the day. Sometimes it's very sweet and nausea inducing, other times it has a weird, very body like smell and you can also feel the incence in it. It's like clothes that have been worn, but don't stink. I gave it to my mom, she initially liked it, then started to dislike it. She also got mixed opinions from her colleagues at work about this perfume. So, I'd say avoid overspraying because it's a love/hate perfume.

Perfumatrix

I don't like oud. From the most synthetic cheapie to the most luxurious potion, I don't like oud, sadly. It turns to gasoline/petrol (but nastier) on my skin every time.
But I like this.
I don't like syrupy-sweet, cheap vanillas. Number one, I am a woman not a little girl; don't wanna smell like candy. And two, cheap vanilla usually turns into bargain-bin-Glade-candle-wax on my skin (in the worst possible way).
But I like this.
Reminds one of Maison Margiela By the Fireplace, but smokier. If you like vanillas like Spiritueuse Double Vanille, Note Vanillee by Micallef, or other smoky or incense-y vanillas, there is a chance you might really like this. Slight caramel note, not much oud on my skin at all--if there is oud in here, it just adds depth.
I know Middle Easterners regularly wear scents this smoky, heavy, and dark in hot weather, but frankly, I can't imagine it doing well if you are in a climate over 70 degrees F/20 degrees C. Cooler weather, though? One of the best affordable vanillas you could ask for. Cheers, Friends.

NouveauDruid

It's Monday, the scent arrived on Saturday, and I've been wearing it non-stop. One of the reasons is that winter is about to be over and so I wish to wear this as much as possible before I pack it away until September. Another is, I'm trying to enjoy notes that are all my top favorites in one perfume and well, this one delivers for about 2-3 hours at a time at the very most. That said, for $21 for a 3.4 oz., I can spray at will. Immediately, there's oud. That note fades at about 1.5 hours into pure sugar and vanilla yet it's not overly sweet, thank God. My nose detects no sandalwood. The incense is definitely there, giving a warmer quality, and the dry down gives a light musk. Though I am aware there is a man's version of this, I'd definitely recommend this one for men because vanillas are trending for them and women really enjoy the mix of their chemistry with sweeter smells.

vixen1995

I love this! It's high quality, Well blended. Plenty of syrupy sweet vanilla and sugar, The incense isn't overpowering at all to me. The oud here is very smooth and adds a softly animalic vibe. No leather/rubber type scent like some oud notes have, Which is good. Performance is on the better end of moderate. Highly recommended for Vanilla lovers, And anyone that likes a Woody/Gourmand.

Nocciola23

I hesitated to buy this because I couldn't find anywhere that supplied testers or samples and it seems to be one of those love it or hate it scents. I ended up buying it blind and I'm pleasantly surprised. It has a very strong incense note, mixed with bourbon vanilla which gives it a tobacco vibe.
I don't love tobacco, after awhile it becomes a bit sickeningly sweet to me, but the incense/sandalwood notes in this keep it in check a bit. If you're not into the smell of incense, I'd give this one a miss. The incense note is very strong and lingers quite awhile.
I'm trying it on a really hot, mid-summer day (not ideal for this kind of perfume), but I love the strength of the perfume. I have so many perfumes that peter out after about 30 minutes in the heat but this has some staying power which I respect.
I'm overall happy with this. It's not as honeyed or boozy as Zara's Rich Warm Addictive, but it gives the same smoky, dark vibe which I really like.
I give it a 7.5/10.

Alex_deangelis

Bought two bottles. One as present and one for me based my blind buy on all those good reviews.
The first one just.... Ok let's be clear. I'm not nose blind nor with other sensibility issues and it may be the production quality issues.
I already contacted lattafa hopefully they will get back soon.
Anyways the smell is unnoticeable, very faint, cannot smell anything but a sort of sweetness for 2 minutes and that's it. Nothing blasting my sense...
Just me?
Batch is 2022 n. 221201399

TripleA

Man there's something about the concentration of Lattafa frags. Like it says "Eau De Parfum" but when you spray this on your hands they become so oily; which isn't a bad thing but don't spray on light clothes.

Jsalma

Need a specific character to wear this one and never try it during a hot day 🤣 very smoky and sweet

SilverMane

While this scent is pretty good, Out of all my fragrances, this is the first and only scent that i have experience that gives me an allergic reaction. I'm not sure what in it I'm reacting to but i know that it is the only scent i have tried that has given me this reaction.

t3nlikescookies

Like many other people, I blind bought this. I own multiple fragrances from Lattafa and I generally enjoy all of them.
I'm totally blown away by Raghba. Especially at that price point.
It's not exactly the most original scent, smells like a lot of other Middle Eastern perfumes. But I guess there's a reason, this DNA just smells great. Even though the notes list oud, it's a very pleasant interpretation that doesn't dominate the composition.
Fully unisex and I love wearing it. Total bang for the buck.
Now if only I could also get my hands on Khamrah.

roxxyg

Was hesitant to buy this because of the mixed reviews but at the pricepoint, I decided to give it a go. I am glad I did, I do not have anything like this in my perfumes and it is perfect for layering with some of my lighter scents to create something to suit my mood. It has a strong sweet musky scent that is very unisex and also long lasting. Caution though, spray very lightly as it can be overwhelming

Olw

This is just an overall awesome scent. Insane price value, I do not own a fragrance with more price value. It als long (8 hrs+), it’s projects good (not that crazy but decent). Very sweet oriental like scent, however it can be headache infusing if oversprayed.

CorryJoe

This smells like sweetened coffee with cream left over overnight. There’s something pleasant about it, but I didn’t feel good wearing it. I finally gave it to someone who loves it- but it was a “no.” For me. I’m actually surprised it rates so high. It’s not terrible, but I don’t get the hype.

Beffuhnee

Raghba is very smokey and gross for me in the opening and I’m always put off by that. It makes me not want to wear it sometimes but I think the magic of Raghba comes through about 15-20 minutes after it’s sprayed. The incense and musk in this is very dominant to my nose, with the vanilla and sandalwood coming through more in the dry down. It’s powdery, woody incense with a touch of vanillic sweetness. I get like what I’d describe as a dry apple cider thing faintly coming through, although that isn’t listed in the notes. Admittedly one of my least favorite Lattafa fragrances I have tried (not counting Raghba wood intense… we don’t talk about her) but not bad by any means. Raghba definitely has a time and a place in my collection and with a little strategic layering I can really enjoy it. On its own, just okay for me.

Cornwallis

In my opinion this scent smells like literal incense and would work better as one. This scent does remind me alot of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille.

knockdown

I was skeptical after reading all the oud comments but pulled the trigger.
I loved it. Lasts whole day but it's not a heavy projector.
Not a challenging fragrance. Anyone who wants to try something different should get this.
Dominant notes are Vanilla, Musk and sandalwood.

BigZa

First off, I'm not a fan of this. It has this cloying synthetic sweetness that honestly makes me a little queasy. Notes of vanilla, s̶u̶g̶a̶r̶ Splenda® with just a hint of oud and little to no spice to balance it. The Sillage is ok and it lasts a good 8ish hours, However I'd look elsewhere.

Agna

Blinde aankoop!!! Waar ben ik blij mee!!!!!
Mij man zei meteen dat een goede geur is!
Na aankoop heb 3 weken gedragen, wilde niet stoppen met dragen!!!!
Fantastische oosterse geur !!!
Warm , zwoel, rookachtig ! Ik hou van !!!
Prijs / Kwaliteit 10/10

AllisonNW

I’m super happy I finally bought this. It will layer perfectly with my sweet amber scents that just need a little kick of darkness. Super wearable, smokey, churchy smell that is totally unisex.

Eaatwood

BO. That’s all I get from this. It’s a vanilla , synthetic Oud body odor dna.

Goobriela

Smells very much like a simmer pot. Smells like a combination of vanilla extract, cinnamon and spices. Haven’t decided if I like it or not a very unisex scent which surprises me

Arber Cami

Honestly, these sweet middle eastern perfumes start to smell all alike. Combo of sweetness/caramel/vanilla with oud has been done and redone millions of times over, 0 creativity and hype not justified. Cloyingly synthetic sweet, atomic projection, not blind buy safe.

groenlicht

this smells weird in my opinion; sweet and oud

Ceevee963

Loooove this. One of my first dabbles into.middle eastern perfumes and still a favorite. It had a slightly smoky opening but very quickly dries down into a sugary sweet vanilla. This layers beautifully with other fragrances too. It has a similar vibe to Kayali vanilla 28 in the slightest way but without the spice. Lasts about 4-5 hours on skin and clothes.

mirrorghost

sugary vanilla with oud and incense, and a bit of sandalwood. not much musk but a little. very warm and cozy. smells a lot like 24 scent story but i think this is a bit softer and maybe sweeter? if memory serves. nice and cozy in cold weather.

Jenny00382

This is a very nice warm and sweet perfume. If you don’t like very sweet perfumes, this one may not be your favorite. It’s not too over powering sweet, but a nice powdery mellow sweet. Barley any oud in there so if you wanted more of a musky oud, this is not for you. I was pleasantly surprised by this perfume. It’s very light and also has a small projection so you can spray a lot and still not over power your nose / other peoples noses. Perfect for the holiday season! Not sure if it’s because I got an old bottle but I love this perfume and don’t smell any oud at all, so I recommend finding a seller that has been selling this for years so you get an older bottle if you want a sweeter version.

knockdown

@Fudge07$ No the oud is not overwhelming at all. Even I don't like oud but this is a good fragrance for those who want to venture into oud. There is nothing skanky/animalic about it. This is a very cozy middle eastern style scent. Strictly for winter. also I love the bottle.

Fudge07$

It’s a hard No for me. I’m sorry the oud is just to overwhelming in this fragrance. You would definitely have to be a fan of oud or atleast don’t mind the smell of oud to like this fragrance. In my opinion

aliidom86

I first bought this in 2018 and it was awesome. Full of sugary vanilla sweetness, aromatic non-skanky oud, and some musky incense. Lasted all day and I smelled like an Arab prince.

I repurchased it a few months ago and sadly, it got reformulated to death! It smells like wet woods now. There's like 10% of the original scent in the current formulation. So disappointed. I miss the old Raghba :(

Marmacita

Although I do adore this scent, I can not spray it directly on my skin, and I do not put it on my clothes at all. It is too strong. It’s one that I use right out of the shower while my pores are still open and I walk through a cloud of mist. This is plenty to project all day, and is still detectable until I shower. It’s woodsy and sweet. When applied correctly it’s lovely.

04.aquifer.biz

To me this smells like somebody grandma. Didn’t like it at all. I dont smell any of the sweet notes at all.

Saphora fragrance

What a shame this opens with such a beautiful vanilla resembling KAYALI vanilla 28 but this only last a few seconds it dries down to incense but not a nice one I sprayed it on my wrist and it was a NO from me.. I wanted to love it but not one I recommend

Sensoria_

I was looking for something cozy on a budget; I also wanted to get slowly into oud spectrum of scents. Raghba did not dissappoint.

It hits first with oud, but after it sits on the skin it turns into some sugary cookie, then turns back into oud vanilla again. I actually feel it can be super wearable - sillage makes it intimate scent and sweet side of it makes it a perfect perfumes for the colder season. It's really feminine to me, definetely not every day wear but if you are wondering whether you should get her or not - try it out.

ema2396

I blind bought a small bottle of this thinking I would like it. On me this smells like something old, an airy vanilla. Someone said it smells like an old person's closet, it definately gives the vibe of a closet with worn clothes, not stinky, but not perfume like. It's like the residue left on clothes after someone has worn them, a mix of faded vanilla perfume, faint body odor and naphthalene. I can't feel any incense or sandalwood. For me it's a quite unidimensional sweetish fragrance, nothing special about it. It's not a bad smell, but not something I'd wear often.

snopea

antique hardwood floors + warm pecan pie

JoanIkem

The most prominent note for me in Raghba was oud. Sadly I got no vanilla, sugar or incense, which were the notes I was most looking forward to.
I found this to be quite intense and overwhelming on me, but it would be perfect on anyone who likes oud. Straight down the middle unisex.
The longevity and sillage are both amazing. I walked into a room and everyone could smell me immediately. Could also still smell this on my skin after taking a shower

Outaroad

This fragrance is very wearable. I kept seeing mixed reviews about this scent but decided to take the plunge anyway— I’m glad I did. To be honest, I find this scent more wearable than Raghba Wood intense. This scent has a pleasant vanilla sweet smell to it. Sort of reminds me of Benz Club Black intense.

ash.nguyen6

I really don’t like this one. All of Lattafa fragrances I’ve tried I love, except for Raghba. It smells cheap and synthetic. It does give off a similar vibe to Bouquet Ideale, but definitely a cheap, scratchy version of it. It lasts forever on the skin. Test before you buy!

UrGirlSaysISmellGood

I’m on a Lattafa kick recently. I haven’t found one yet I haven’t really enjoyed. I’m sure I will but this isn’t one! I like this a lot! It’s a scent I’ll wear once in a while during the winter to change it up. That vanilla and incense open can be an off put to some. I know because my boy tried it and said it was like walking into a smoke shop. Personally I like the open, but stay wearing it for dry down. That incense and vanilla fades into a spicy, woody, sugary fragrance that is just so well rounded. This has some pretty serious longevity to it as well, at least for me.

Here is the hard part. I personally find it more female leaning, and would say if your a man looking for a really masculine scent this isn’t the one, but I also don’t think a lot of females would like the open. It’s a conundrum for me at least. I love it and wear it but can see how some might be really confused by it.

Usually with Lattafa I just say “screw it go blind buy it. It’s cheap!” I’m not sure I can say that with this one because I can see how people would be turned off to it. I kind of think of it like a cigar. If you’re new to them a jump into a cohiba you might be like “wtf is this nasty crap.” If you know your likes and dislikes you can make the choice for yourself. If you’re on the fence though, and looking for a winter scent, I’d say go for it if you know the profile and find enjoyment from those notes.

TDLR: Know thyself, know thy preference.

phpbb

Oh, that is so good! Sweet praline + oud + a bit of weed.
Smells kinda similar to Oud Shaghaf, but much smother and richer.
I don't get booziness here.
Good for colder weather and evenings.
Perfect for both males and females.

Vpeacoat

30ml bottle arrived today. Blind buy. I can't really be sure about longevity because I haven't been wearing it for long. But given the power of this, it'll last a long time, I'm guessing.

It's lovely. It really is. It opens sweet and spicy, then fairly quickly moves into a dry vanilla type of scent. There's plenty of wood in there too. It's really well balanced. I'm a fan.

I know it's not generally recommended to wear these heavier scents in summer, but we're heading into summer where I am and I'd happily wear this on a hot day. It'd only need a spray or two, but I think this could work well in any weather. It's rich and round, but everything's in balance.

Easily the best blind buy I've made.

ekrapf

A boozy, dark, vanilla, amber, and very heavily sweet. Unisex, slightly feminine leaning. Fall, winter, or even a summer fragrance. Layered with coconut smells great.

este96

Just opened my first blind-buy bottle of Raghba.I'm an old timer, & usually go for a VERY different scent profile.Usually steer clear of vanilla or "sweet"scents. In the mood for something different & was intrigued by the "incense" notes listed.
Upon opening, I was simply happy it wasn't a "beast"to my nose, as some reviewers complained.I have often loved some of the old heavies' ,like EL Knowing, Youth dew, or even ET's Passion. All smell gorgeous to me in the bottle, but become overbearing, & TOO masculine on my skin.I thought Id give Raghba a shot. On first spray it was sweet vanilla , with a very SOFT hint of frankincense. Loved that! ten minutes...some cinnamon...good...20 min....SUPER sweet candy vanilla....UGH.....still there so far. Was hoping for more frankincense & /or at least woods! No woods detected AT ALL! Probably wont wear this, may gift it to someone who loves sweet vanilla. I was gifted a bottle of Champagne/Yvress back in the eighties, a scent I never would have picked for myself. It ended up being a signature scent for years because the dry-down on me was a soft fresh/clean sandalwood. Can't afford Yvress anymore. The search goes on!

CheeylAnne37

I recently got a 50ml bottle of Raghba Eau De Parfum Natural Spray. I don’t know if the natural part makes this different. It was only $5.99 for 50ml so maybe it is and if anyone knows, please tell. I’ve been getting more middle eastern fragrances lately and loving it. This one is vanilla and sugary sweet with maybe a touch of oud. It is very light on me. It’s nice but not a beast like most my other Lattafas. It’ll be good for layering but to me this isn’t groundbreaking and I have other vanillas in my arsenal that I enjoy more. I don’t dislike it but it’s just a meh scent to me.

anam182

Not my type, I was looking for a sweet, natural vanilla scented perfume, or at least sweet. This one, smells just like it looks, mysterious, spiced, almost pepper-y, and of burnt wood. To me, it is not sweet, but bitter. The incense and spiciness to it dominate the fragrance, and I think it's suitable for more mature women.

H-rim

It is a beautiful perfume around the vanilla of the sugar and the oud of Cambodia it is the one to use in this perfume surely synthetic but which gives it a good result

Wannabeperfumer

I detest the smell of this….
My first impression- It smells like vanilla mixed with turd
I’m traumatized enough to give it away

RobbieX

This really is a beautiful woody caramel scent, so well blended and addictive.

LauraAD

Gorgeous smoky incense and brown sugar with a teeny hint of vanilla. I don't get much of the oud at all, maybe a whiff in the base but it's pretty straight smoky incense and brown sugar on me. It's like a slightly sweetened, more intense version of Incense City by Allsaints. Absolutely love it and it lasts forever on my skin too.

V4nilla

I was looking for my entrance level oud fragrance and of course i looked into arabian perfumes. I chose Raghba since the notes and reviews suggested that this would be a vanilla with some oud, not oud with some vanilla. I don't really have a chance to test these perfumes so i just go for the blind buy risk.

I consider this perfume to have two very separate phases. Phase one: the opening and middle are literally just oud and incense. Vanilla is far far away. No sweetness or sugar, nothing else but smokey wood. Can smell a bit like.. old wood furniture. Phase two: in an instance, the dry down arrives and vanilla dominates. Oud and incese just leave, straight out of the door. Left with a deep dark vanilla, just a little woody. Mind you, this only happens on my skin. When i spray this on my clothes or paper, it will stay in that first phase. Overall i would still consider this a incense and oud perfume with some vanilla.

My boyfriend smelled it and said it smelled like a old museum, where the whole interior is made out of wood. Like a nature museum. He did like it tho, gave it a 8.5/10 since it was a familiar comforting scent. I would give it a 6 or 7 out of 10, i have to get used to it. I think incense is the turn off.

EDIT: This layered with Cheirosa 62 does the trick for me! If you happen to have similar trouble with the incense note, i recommend trying this combo. It helps the incense to fade.

emgailba

If you're sleeping on this one, and you're open to the idea of an incense-gourmand frag (you like smoky leathers, amber/vanilla or warm apple pie), give it a try for fall. It's a cheapie at only $30 on amazon and a BEAST in terms of room-filing, aggressive scent.

My experience: On first spray, it was a bit off-putting, a monster truck flying through the air kind of assualt. I literally walked away from my 1 spritz, already having a lot in my nostrils. I told my husband to stay back, and he responded from 2 rooms away, "don't worry, I can smell it from here."

It took a bit to sort itself out, but once it did, it melted into a vanilla-rich, woody, sweetly resinous profile.
After top notes of deep, smoky, woodsy resin, I get amber, sugary vanilla, and flecks of apple pie-- there's subtle sweetness, which is a nice relief from all those heavy notes.

You need to like agarwood. You can almost imagine a box made from smoked agarwood, with warm apple pie filling inside.

It's the same vibe as Killian Apple Brandy and Angel's Share, but make no mistake--you need to like agarwood, as that's the most dominant note, and I can see this not being a safe blind buy. You also need to be patient to get to the vanilla/sugar heart that gives this scent it's beautiful gourmand attitude.

JamieSmells

I wore it only once and the first thing my daughter said was "it smells like those men in Dubai''. She was referring to the guys who kept stopping us to buy perfume at the mall. To her it smells more masculine then feminine and she is 12 but wears perfume and has good taste believe or not. So, I really trust her judgement. She also told me it smells like I had sprayed it in the room, thats how strong and heavy this perfume is. A few hours had passed since I had sprayed it, so you can imagine how much of a beast mode this is. My husband said that its a bit too cloying and very middle eastern. To me it reminds me of a bit of frankincense, which is a scent I do not like. I was a bit heavy handed when I put this one, about 4-5 sprays because I had read it was strong and I'm an oversprayer so 4-5 sprays is light for me. I think when I wear this I will only use two sprays and then add some Vanilla perfume over it to sweeten it. I wont give up on it just yet because I have heard good things about this fragrance but I would advise anyone to test it first if you can or, splurge the 20 bucks and give it a try with caution.

Grimalkin

If original formula CK "Obsession" for men, and Coty "Ici" had a baby, it would smell like this.

This is NOT a vanilla fragrance - it is a coumarin fragrance. There are some beautiful fresh alfalfa hay/cured tobacco notes, beneath the gorgeous "1990s head shop amber resin" accord, and that lovely scorched frankincense and myrrh accord. I get a slight whiff of mahalab (cherry pits, used as an Arabian spice), as well.

If you are not a gingerbread house witch, a dark dreamer, a pirate at heart, or an aging sybarite flapper, this is probably not for you. It is a bittersweet, smoky, resinous, magical cloud of comfort, if you are inclined toward such things.

JamieSmells

I just received it and my first impressions is that it smells a bit like Lost Cherry by Tom Ford. It has a syrupy kind of vibe but also it reminds me of Frankincense, which is not that an appealing scent to my nose. Its still too early to judge I guess, I'll wear soon and comeback with a better review.

Susanjoyz

Well after lol the reViews I bought this. Yuk. Old persons stinky closet. Not bad per se just very “old”. Don’t like the smell on my skin. Disappointed. I smell some vanilla under there. I can see some people liking this, it’s just too dank of a fragrance for me. Leans towards masculine as well.

gourmandlover123

Initially I regretted my purchase of this perfume but I grew to really enjoy the incensey-sugary scent. It is so so so strong and you can smell it even after you've layered a cream on top. It is a heavy and dense fragrence but its good for summer too, surprisingly.

Seanmesser666

This one really grew on me after wearing it a few times. For the price you literally can't go better, lattafa has some straight up bangers, this is one of them. Leans a little masculine but women can easily pull it off too. Don't sleep on this one vanilla lovers!

sakecat22

Vanilla with Woods and Incense. My skin amps the incense - which I like. It's also pretty linear - smells about the same on first spray as it does hours later on me. I am not entirely confident about the silage. I think that the silage is arm's reach - but I have a feeling this fills up a room. There's something in here that I go anosmic to and I can see myself over-spraying and choking out anyone who comes within 5 feet of me...which may not necessarily be a bad thing.

BTW - the packaging and bottle for this is gorgeous and heavy. Overall - nicer than many scents 5x the price. Definitely worth throwing in the shopping cart.

robertandsheilaburke

This was a "throw it in the cart to get my total up for free shipping" blind buy and I was so worth it! It is cheap and very good. It performs like a beast. sweet, incense, and oud. It is very surprising how well they mix together. I love the lingering vanilla. great blind buy and as cheap as it is, you cant go wrong.

NoirMemoir

Got a sample of this, sprayed it on my hand and 2 minutes in my mother walks into the room with her eyes wide open asking me what smells so divine here. She never has such reactions to any of my fragrances (except for Club de nuit intense which she hates lol but thats another story). Its such a cozy, cherry like, syrupy sweet scent. Really evokes Christmas vibes to me. Its like drinking a cinnamon and cherry tea in which you put a bit too much sugar and it tastes delicious and concentrated. Its a gourmandish fragrance to me. If you see the juice color its a dead giveaway of how it smells.

I can't help it but to my nose this has a similar scent profile as Mancera Aoud Exclusif, Red Tobacco (which also has all the notes that are listed in Raghba) and Parfums de Marly Oajan. These 3 fragrances are in the same ballpark.

Its really good, but to me this doesn't seem like a perfume you wear to work, or going out and about. I can see it being worn at a Christmas table, or sitting by a fireplace and reading your favourite book under a thick warm blanket while its snowing and the cold wind's howling outside . Its the sort of fragrance one wears for himself, for those kind of surreal moments.

Edit: Ended up getting a bottle for her. She uses it all year round and its not bothering but indeed its thick, syrupy and burnt sugary.

Eveningrose

It smells like Maple Syrup and Incense. I honestly cannot decide if I like this but I am leaning towards a no. Like it’s too syrupy, thick and sweet for me .

Jesse Harrison

This smells like someone burned caramel in the rectory. The incense is far too close to the smell of the censor from my days as a Catholic for me to be comfortable smelling it long term. I wanted to love this, and I probably would have if the scent memories it brought up were not so uncomfortable. But I spray this on and suddenly I am back at Catholic school in church on a high holy day, only glad for the reprieve from class where I am bullied. Not a fun thing to remember.

cfman

Lattafa Raghba (LR) can hold its own against any of the popular niche houses. I own Tom Fords, Creeds, Xerjoffs, Initios, Parfums de Marlys, etc. and I enjoy LR as much as any of them...at a fraction of the price.

To my nose it is primarily a sweet boozy tobacco fragrance. I'll be honest, the tobacco is strong and was a little harsh for me in the first few wearings, but LR has slowly started to grow on me and it's getting closer to a "love".

Vanilla fragrances are one of my weaknesses and I wish I could say I smell more vanilla within LR, but I don't. I primarily get the sweet/sugar with a little bit of vanilla way in the drydowns. I get a little wood, amber and incense but nothing I would consider smokey.

I've seen multiple comments about a saliva scent, I have no idea what those people are talking about. I have a very strong sense of smell and I don't even know what saliva smells like. Others have mentioned a body odor scent, apparently they've never smelt a sweet moist tobacco, because I'm guessing that's what they're smelling.

Anyway, if you like sweet tobacco scents, I highly recommend LR. If you don't like it...at least you're not out a lot of money!

Typical middle eastern fragrance.
Vanilla combined with a little bit of wood.

Sweet and and woody fragrance. Exactly what comes to your mind when you think about Middle Eastern perfumes for women. Quite heavy and the first few whiffs are VERY powdery (More than Shalimar). It dries down to nice sweet, spicy smell. It's ok, but it would have been better without the baby powder note.

FragsNBooze

This wears very close to skin but overspraying makes the fragrance too sweet on drydown. Smells like initial steps of sugar caramelization process. I don't get any vanilla. However, after couple hours, dries down to very artificial incense which does smell like saliva.

Unfortunately, synthetics rarely work in gourmand presentations. In this case, the incense could've been very beautiful but smells offensive instead.

Invisibeau

On the bottle cap, this smells like vanilla essence mixed with brown sugar and sandalwood. On my skin, it smells very woody and the drydown doesn't reveal much except for a faint caramel accompanying the sandal. I smell oud as sillage but it is not projected. It holds me in a close bubble that would be very cosy on cold days.

summertime happiness

It would be a love for me on this fragrance if it wasn't for the SALIVA smell, I've ask people around me, and none of them get the SALIVA smell that I'm getting. So not sure if it just me
