Aqua Sacrae by Le Couvent Maison de Parfum is a Floral fragrance for women and men. Aqua Sacrae was launched in 2019. The nose behind this fragrance is Jean-Claude Ellena. Top notes are Mandarin Orange and Earl Grey Tea; middle notes are Jasmine and Tuberose; base note is Woody Notes.

"Essence of Jasmine & Tuberose. An elegant powdery Floral wake reminiscent of the vigil in the Jardin des Fleurs Blanches of the Minimes Convent. Intense and strong concentration, based on natural botanical essences in the tradition of the Haute Franferie Française.

White paradise, Aqua Sacrae captures both ends of the olfactory spectrum. It is the result of weaving Mandarin with the scent of Earl Gray blended with the carnal notes of Jasmine and Tuberose. An elegant construction that unveils the duality freshness / sensuality on a background of fragrant wood. " - a note from the brand.

Starts out fresh and floral, feminine. Drydown is a little more soapy-powdery (but not vintage or granny like) and I even get notes of pink roses. It's a modern floral that would suit any age. Inoffensive and light - it can be used for sports as well as officewear. It's not generic although it reminds me of so many fresh floral perfumes.

Floral scent, light, pure and innocent, a bit powdery but not that strong.
It made me think of a girl in her prime of life.

In love with this scent right now! It smells like a pretty woman

This is a young rose scent for me. The one you spray 5 sprays in the morning to wake up after you take a shower. Lasts for about 1 hour and then you can put your real perfume on.

I guess there's something in here I'm unable to smell, because this is so weak I can barely tell I've sprayed something on.

This has never happened to me before - and certainly doesn't align with the other reviews.

I'm glad it was cheap.

Mystères du Château de Dé

I've recently bought and worn 3 Aquas Le Couvent. Solis, Paradisi and Sacrae. Acquired at rock-bottom prices. I want to mention the bottles are luxurious and the perfume house impeccable.

Sacrae is the easiest to process, and possibly to like because it's the most familiar. It's gourmand like the other two. Not watery colognes. On skin it's a pretty flowery tea perfume, possibly warm Italian cream pastry. Yet it's 50% different on fabric - where it's a pure white flower EDT and not gourmand. A designer and natural white flower perfume at dimestore jasmine prices.

Have a go, white flower lovers. I found my new 200 ml bottle for $22 and I don't think any house offers something so natural smelling and elegant for just a few shekels.

This is the only Couvent of the 3 I now have that I would offer as a gift. The other 2 are too arty.

I like this atypical cologne - it is light and soft white floral scent, mostly jasmine on a pronounced woody base, some citrus brightness just to balance everything out and some powdery feel to it. Overall impression is slightly musky, yet almost soapy white floral.

Spring, summer and autumn daytime. Unisex for floral scent enthusiasts. Inoffensive, safe, quite on the clean side; minimal, well balanced and no extremes. Rather original, yet forgettable. Moderate to soft projection with up to four hour performance on the skin.

So, base is sandalwood, albeit a very subtle one. In fact I find the base to be mostly musk. The mandarin note somehow lingers. This is beautiful.

Jamsine

This is a very beautiful, powdery scent, a bit like posh face powder eg Les Voilettes by Guerlain. It’s quite soft and subtle. It smells like Penhaligon’s Heartless Helen in the dry down but is not as citrusy in the first spritz. I keep the 200ml bottle in my bathroom cabinet to wear after a shower.

When I got my hands on a bunch of these botanical colognes I certainly wasn't expecting to like them all, and I'll go ahead and spoil that this one isn't my thing either. Rather, I hoped to learn something by trying out these scents with presumably rather simple formulas, as a kind of nose training if you will.

But this one I find really difficult to analyze, like all the parts have completely fused into the whole. All I can say is that to my nose it's a bit old-fashioned, like a very traditional ladies perfume. I get flowery, sure, but in a kind of musty and stale way that to me, dates it.

Usually I find tuberose scents too stuffy and headache-inducing, but Aqua Sacrae is a nice exception! The tuberose in this is not dominant, ant that imo brings the best out of the flower. Earl Grey tea adds a slight spice-like edge to the scent and the woody base makes it soft and pleasant.

PerfumeForLainy

Soft and rather beautifull woody floral. Very longlasting, but sits so close to skin that I can hardly notice it myself, so I overspray, just to get a wiff of Aqua Sacrae and 10ml gets easily used over the weekend. I would have loved it to have a little bit more sillage.

This fragrance is a real compliment getter!

I've been using this a lot this summer. Every time I hugged a friend they started to sniff me behind my ear and gave me tons of compliments, which surprises me since I don't get the same reaction when I use other perfumes.

I thought this cologne was a lame safe buy, but it turned out to awaken people's curiosity. Therefore I must give this fragrance the highest point possible. Longevity is good too, projects and lasts as a perfume.

Soft and spiky floral scent.
I don't smell the regular parfumerie jasmin or tuberose in it. I might be used to richer, narcotic white floral.
It is simple, humble. Not "in your face" kind of scent. It is a cologne.
It doesn't project that much, but at the end of the day, I still can smell it on clothing.
It's not a wow scent but people who likes shy, floral, not sweet perfume will like it.

cumulnimbus

I want to test this one now!

EDIT : Finally, I did!!

Fresh and powdery tuberose cologne with prominent citrus and light tea. I bought myself a big bottle for the warm summertime days to come, to rotate it with Tubereuse Hedonie as my light wearable tuberose summer scents.

Joy & beauty.
