The first spray is kind of grape soda or jelly ice cream and then it quicky changes to sweet vanilla. I think I'm the only one that this Olympea Intense smells almost exactly likes Lancome Poem. I don't why but maybe the combination of vanilla and orange blossom give this vibe. I expect edible buttery caramel, but it's not. I'm glad that I didn't blindbuy this

Littlethingsweetpea

Smells like salted caramel. So good for winter and during a night out. I like to layer with vanilla bourbon lotion.

AshLeigh512

I blind bought this and I regret it. This is the most intense amber bomb I've ever smelled. Normally I like amber fragrances but this is just so strong and powerful. One spray fills a room! I wish the amber was better blended with some of the other notes because on paper this seems like something I would love. I've tried to layer with other fragrances but this is so intense that it just smothers any other fragrance. This is a no for me.

Sodastream83

There is a noticeable difference between Olympea Intense before/after reformulation. Pre-reformulation the amber is way stronger which makes the opening smell somewhat rusty/metallic (in the best way possible, lol). The reformulated Olympea intense tones down the amber and instead there is a strong note of white pepper. I love both versions equally, actually I layer them. Sexy as hell.

Lotte_Liese

In the opening, I struggled to pick out any differences between this intense version and the OG, so I left it awhile and returned to my sample paper after 15-20 mins to sniff the drydown.
In the opening the salty vanilla accord was very intense but in the drydown, I could pick up no salt. The vanilla in this formulation is a lot sweeter than in the OG, I suspect it's because there is less salt to tame it.
The orange flower note that was barely noticeable in the opening is very much at work in the mid and dry down.
Where cashmere wood gave the original a sense of smoothness and luxury in the drydown, the amber note has been placed to replicate that feeling, however it's failed to. What you will smell in the drydown is a smooth, citrus floral, buttery vanilla with a hint of salt. There is some ambergris, but it is more noticeable on paper than skin.

I would wear the original for afternoon tea on the weekend with my girlfriends, but this intense version would solely be for drinks and live music at a quiet jazz club. Where the original stood out, stayed strong, this intense version is only intense in sweetness and lacklustre in performance and longevity. I love the orange flower note in this, but it fails to meet expectations as a whole.

This is coastal city nightlife, sweater weather edition. It’s a Friday night in autumn, and your date takes you for a stroll at a busy promenade after a fancy dinner. There’s a beautiful salty breeze blowing and the ocean is dark and serene, contrasting with all the colorful lights, the boardwalk performers entertaining giggling passerbys, excited children running around. People of all ages having a great time. A vendor nearby is selling hot caramel popcorn. You’re looking chic and magazine-cover ready in your all-black ensemble, cozy pashmina shawl draped gracefully to warm your shoulders. Your seductive orange blossom perfume is mixing with all the aromas around you, the cool salty sea air, the warm, buttery sweetness of freshly popped caramel popcorn…there’s so much joy in the air, and you just want to breathe it all in and savor the moment. This is the fragrance that I pull out in cold weather when I’m anywhere close to the ocean…it’s too salty to enjoy anywhere else, too sweet for the spring/summer months, too quirky to use day to day…but it is definitely an atmospheric and evocative one. For that reason, it’s not something that I wear often, but worn at the right time and place (or even at bedtime when I want to relive the seaside funfair or promenade fun), I do enjoy it..immensely!

BritneyPerfume4Eva

I bought this one in mistake, misremembering that I had liked a tester of Pure XS, another Paco Rabanne fragrance. Pure XS is far superior (as is Scandal). Given how amazing the other scents are by PR, this is disappointing. I love the bottle (pictured), but IRL it's tacky and orange. I was expecting an interesting Oriental mixed with Greek scent - alas, it's quite bog standard. Nice, but not amazing. They could've made this so good - the concept of 'Olympea' is very intriguing. I would've had old Renaissance, Greek or Oriental art on the bottle, faint under the brown colour. To me, a fragrance called 'Olympea' would've been like YSL Opium, only with a European twist. Imagine a perfume that evoked the coolness and minerals of Mount Olympus, mixed with Opium, or a sandy olive/fig with Opium. It just lacks any interest.

Such a shame, because the notes are intriguing. I've never seen a salty perfume that wasn't supposed to evoke the beach.

I'll try the EDP (non-intense version) and its flankers.

ava96

Very similar to the original Olympea but heavier, almost sickly vanilla to me. I will pass this one on to someone as I myself got it as a free sample.

Featherblossom

It's an interesting scent, I like how the salt adds intrigue. Unfortunately it doesn't last long at all. Fades to a skin scent within a few hours. I'll try the original.

l_02mx

This isn’t a resinous or aromatic amber, it’s very sweet and is mixed well with the vanilla (which isn’t play-doughy). It still retains elements of the original, I.e., it still has that unique salt kick to it. It’s quite linear in comparison to OG in that it lacks the florals. It also does have a slight caramel twang to it but by no means is this a gourmand.

Yet, as others have mentioned, this has 0 lasting power. The OG can last 12+ hours on me but this is more like a body spray. I honestly struggle to smell it even an hour into wearing. I was expecting a bit more from this scent. It’s much less exciting and fabulous than the OG and lacks longevity. A promising scent profile that’s poorly created, I can see why it’s gone tbh!

Sammbac

I much prefer the original. This isn't an intense version of the Original it's an extra intense amber, too ambery almost. The original is sharp, aquatic and bright in the opening. This one lacks the balsamic tang of the OG, it is a salted amber with vanilla hints bordering on nutty at times. It layers quite nicely with the OG and the Solar flanker too. Much more Fall/Winter/Night appropriate than the OG which works for me in Summer. My least favourite of the 3 Olympeas I've tried. Won't repurchase after my 30ml bottle is used up. As someone else mentions, it has a very dark hue that stains paper so I haven't risked it on light clothing. 6/10

brandybasisty

Based on the fragrantica notes, I didn't expect this to be as floral fruity as it is. The opening is like a fruit (red plums?) scented candle and the heart is tiare flower and burnt sugar. I detect the salt as adding a slightly savory quality, but the tiare never goes away. It turns into a beachy white floral amber scent with great projection and longevity. I'm disappointed that I'm not getting the salty vanilla that other people experience.
Summer update:
On a sultry July evening, I'm now getting a delicious salty vanilla with juicy fruity touches. The amber gives it depth and the salt keeps it from being heavy in the heat. Glad I tried this one again!

LSAUG

I like the Intense version a lot more than the original. This is a very sweet vanilla w/ some fruity notes that to my nose smell like a fruity tobacco. A lot of amber here w/ a touch of animalic notes that I really enjoy and keep some of the sweetness in check. Granted this is a very sweet vanilla perfume but there is something here that makes it a bit sexier. I've also tried the Pure XS for her and I like that as well but I think I like Olympea Intense more. There is a touch of salt here as well but it isn't as salty as the original Olympea or Pure XS for her. I was always a vanilla skeptic, but I like a good vanilla that doesn't smell like food. This isn't overly foody in my opinion. It is warm rich amber vanilla w/ a bit of salt and a bit of tobacco goodness. I don't really get beachy from this but from what I am smelling this would be a real crowd pleaser. Also, it reminds me of a sweeter less animalic version of Winter Woods by Sonoma Scent Studio or their Tobacco scent (can't remember the name) those were to animalic for my husband, but he enjoys this. I think this is going be full bottle worthy. If you like sweet rich vanilla ambers w/ saltiness (that doesn't go into sushi territory) w/ a boozy tobacco like flavor this is worth a sample. They are easy to find.

Ethereal Love

This smells very syrupy and fruity to my nose and I really don't understand why when there are no fruit notes listed. Not a bad perfume at all, but I've smelled many perfumes like this before, so this is quite generic to me. This was not the salted caramel perfume that I was hoping for. I'm glad I only purchased a sample of this.

honeybunny1977

Rather than a fresh aquatic salty ocean fragrance, this is more like a caramel sweet salty experience with a beachy sidenote. I love the notes but in high heat it can get cloying & heavy. Its very unique and long lasting. I have learned to go light on the sprays if wearing in summer time. Really nice scent.

Shikin27

I absolutely love amber in fragrances. And I absolutely love this! Just so incredibly delicious with the vanilla and the salt.

EG123

The original Olympea is better imo. This one is sweeter and a lot more fruitier. Original Olympea has a lot of pepper in it compared to this one though. Basically get this one if you want something sweeter, fruitier, syrupy, and amber dominant - or get the original olympea if you want a better performer, more masculine, more beachy, and a lot sexier. Something about the Intense dry down also strongly reminds me of Armani My Way.

If you want a REALLY good beachy scent, I would opt for Alien Goddess or Alien Goddess intense!

Zbounce94

I love the original Olympea so a louder, longer lasting version sounded great. Unfortunately, this had become a skin scent within four hours.
However, the liquid in my sample is very dark. A deep, burnt red shade - similar to the top of the cap shown in the main product image above. Like, to the point where I could see the color on my skin where I'd sprayed it, and I instantly worried that it might stain light colored clothes. So, maybe the issue is the sample itself - expired? Stored incorrectly? Idk, but this is a miss for me.

Lauren_Loves_Perfume88

OK so this fragrance is BEAUTIFUL. As soon as I sprayed it I instantly thought "I need a backup bottle asap" - ever so slightly similar to the OG Olympea but without the salt. However...it just does not last?! I am surprised the stats on this show strong, long lasting sillage and longevity because even when I spray it 20x on my clothes it doesn't stick. It is an EDP with performance of an EDT. So disappointed in the longevity! I would not re-purchase on this basis alone. I am willing to pay more for the Extrait version of the OG instead.

SakuraFalls

I am starting to love- or at least I think- I am starting to enjoy gourmand fragrances.
I was at church and someome sprayed something amazing in a bathroom. I have no idea what it was, but I thought I smelt the notes listed in this fragrance. I ordered a sample bottle. This ended up smelling like grape soda and whisky barrels. I don't smell the vanilla for some reason. Still on my search for my perfect vanilla edp or edt, lest I forever cling to BBW winter bodyspray (drooling as I think about it).

mybabyjenna

I don’t HATE it. It’s just meh.

Admw

As someone said below…. This really smells like walking into the subway, UGH! I don't eat anything from the subway because it stinks there, why would anyone want to smell like that? Sorry PR and her lovers🙈 but i love the OG!

Jebzmami

Too too too much amber. they say when it dries on your skin it smells better. On ME it doesn’t. If anyone want to swap I have a 80ml sprayed once.
Let me know.

fformoso88

This is sooo sooo good. I forgot how good it was because I haven’t used it for a minute but this right here is the truth. Warm, salty, ambery vanilla. Just gorgeous! Compliments on this fragrance galore! It also has very amazing lasting power it lasted all day and night on me. I feel this fragrance is just very unique and very well blended. I love salty fragrances and if you want to smell like a literal Goddess this is it!

Cinnabunn

It doesn't smell bad but evertime I smell it I get "walking into a subway and wearing beach walk" idk why but that's just what comes to mind when I smell this perfume lol. I'll have to keep testing it to see if that changes..

mariamarouli91

That's a sweeter and more syrupy Olympea the original. It lacks the freshness of the original. It's pretty much the same but a little sweeter and less fresh. I prefer the original to this. You don't have to buy it if you already have the original. I still enjoy it when I have cravings for a super sweet scent.

Jernê Knowles

Deliciously a fragrance that deserves to be in the collection of those who associate the world of perfumery with notoriety and immediate recognition. Olympéa Intense is perfume "take crazy" perfume that only tried to know, everyone who feels around praises and questions about what aroma this is!

I notice an open floral perfume, only exotic because of the final key element that gives a tempered esdrúxula in its composition, the salt. In my nostrils it has salt from beginning to end, but it is not any saline note, it is salt preceded by an intense breeze, of those that mess up the hair.

I feel a lot of Pepper that makes him burning and interesting, also sensual and voracious as each movement is performed. It smells slightly of dirt issues from the presence of Flor da Laranjeira, but it is so slight the feeling that there is no way to stop supporting and moving on, everything always, in it, very intense as it is described in the box and bottle.

Rustic goodbye, woody, spicy, burned and pressed by a vanilla candy that added salt in half and that was to be messed up, made it was more right than it should, that is, a "what" gourmand without the pretense of being cloying and not even awful. Amber notes are elementary to score the completion of a fragrance that remains on the skin for more than 12 hours of course.

Madyana

I have sometimes wondered about the smell of "warm bread" that my nose recognizes in some Ambra fragrances, this is one of them. To me, Olympea Intense isn't so much a overly sweet ordinary vanilla, but a buttery, salty, corn bread with pencil chip kind dry wood. I really love this fragrance, this goes so perfectly with all white florals for layering too.💛

Laynie_Scents

I love this so much. It’s unique and sweet all at once.

susana_lago

As soon as I knew it was discontinued I ordered an 80 mL bottle of Olympea Intense. It was not a blind buy, I had smell it before in a perfume shop, thinking it was the original one, and I didn't know how to feel. I had to smell it more times to think about the smell and get used to it.

In the opening, I perceive orange blossom, vanilla, lots of salt and amber, but in a VERY STRANGE WAY... it's not unpleasant but it's... Strange. I don't know how to explain it... It's like it's so salty but so sweet but has kind of an artificial sweet note (I suppose it's amber mixed with the other notes). At this moment I could say I don't like the fragrance that much, and can be overly sweet or overwhelming for many people. I don't get nauseous or any headache like some people say, but if you're sensitive to perfumes and certain type of smells, keep in mind that.

When it sets on the skin it's THE BEST SMELL EVER. It tones down and start smelling like sweet salty vanilla with amber and spices that gives it a VERY WARM FEELING. I don't know how to explain it (and it's the second time I say this), but it truly feels like your skin is warmer in the place you sprayed it, and also gives like a little subtle spicy feel in your nose that might be caused by the salt, BUT it's also mixed with a bit of sour-bitter grapefruit/orange.

It really has its complexity and you can only appreciate when it dries down and fusions with your skin. It's not a love at first sniff kind of scent because to me is TOTALLY different the opening vs the drydown... I can say with no doubt that this Intense version gets SO MUCH better with time.

I recommend this specially for winter and fall, but I can also imagine myself or others wearing it as a beach scent or after a beach day, with marine climate or a little windy weather (not with an exaggerated heat and humidity in the air). At the evening in summer with no extreme weather it would be perfect. And if you tolerate it in the opening, you will enjoy its development. The ONLY exception: NOT compatible with extreme heat or extreme humidity, but it performs and fits better in a little colder weather.

I have only used it today, applied a little bit in the morning to try it, and more generously after lunch. I'm not in my best moment these days because of my allergy, so I can not smell it a lot, BUT it clearly still smells at 8pm. It lasts like the original version, but I still don't know about the sillage, because I didn't put as much as I do with the rest of my fragrances just in case I didn't like it.

I can truly recommend this fragrance. I don't get the people that say that it's just so so so so sweet. It's sweet and can be overwhelming in the begging ONLY (for me), but not because of its sweetness, but because of the ambar and salt-sweet mix. It makes it heavy to wear at the beginning and kind of a confusing fragrance, that grows into the skin and becomes a masterpiece.

I say all of this even though I didn't like it a lot at first sniff... I felt confused and a little lost with this specific smell, but trust me, just let it set on your skin for an evening and if you like intense warming fragrances you will like this one!! The awkwardness of this fragrance fades away as the hours pass by 🤍

sisii

The amber in this fragrance literally slapped me in the face but I liked it so… thanks? That is all. Intense fragrance would wear during evenings.

giri-boni

She’s that girl. Period! Gorgeous scent

ellahitchman

It gets better and better the longer you keep it on. If you don’t like the smell at first, you’ll probably like it an hour or more later, though the smell at first is still very good imo.

marialena888m

I don’t care for the original, but this Intense version is quite delicious. I guess it’s because I love amber, and it is in abundance here. It is very syrupy/sweet but in a good way, that salt note balances the thick, heavy sweetness nicely. Not too complex, but it is quite distinctive and different from other mainstream ‘sweeties’, that lovely salt + amber overload makes all the difference. Amber, vanilla, salt and orange blossoms…and a hint of ocean breeze. In that order. It’s a nuclear beast the first 30-60 minutes, but it calms down to a moderate projection and lasts almost the entire day (longer on fabrics). It does bring to my mind a fresh, warm tub of salted caramel popcorn, there’s a butteriness to the scent. Definitely for fall/winter. I am someone who tends to overspray perfumes, but this is definitely not one I can be trigger-happy with.
Edit: Someone below mentioned that Olympea Intense reminds her of JPG’s Scandal in terms of their ‘vibe’, I agree, and that’s actually my other favorite designer sweet scent! yes, they’re both nectar-y, rich, syrupy ladies. Imagine a pure ‘liquid gold’ sort of sweetness, no sharp woods or tart-y fruit salad notes to steal the show. Scandal with her honey + beeswax, and Olympea Intense with amber + vanilla. Scandal is more flirtatious and bright, more traditionally feminine, and Olympea Intense is abit edgier and deeper (but not dark), with a more oriental and urban feel to it. If they were cities, Scandal would be Paris and Olympea Intense would be Dubai.

MahaS

Very similar to the original but the amber makes it suitable for fall. It's potent and lasts quite a bit, I personally love this. I was trying to pick between the original and this one and I decided to keep both. It's like having two of the same suitable for different occasions. I love it!

perfumesniffer

I blind bought this like the maniac that I am.

You MUST like highly synthetic aroma chemicals to get through this experience. I thought I’d be able to like this because I enjoy things like Dior Hypnotic Poison and Dior Addict and a few of the other high points in the category of synthetic bombs 💣

Olympea Intense starts off with a blast of artificial GRAPE jasmine. This lessens and within a hour becomes a poor quality cashmeran woods with sweet GRITTY vanilla-amber. This is not the style of amber I can personally tolerate. It’s trash quality, but I suspect might smell good to others as they smell your sillage. Sniffing up close it’s an affront to perfumery, but the trail might be pleasant. There’s a hint of something in the base that’s a little like fake oud. Overall it’s mostly sweet and nondescript wood/ambergris base and once dried down smells like a big block of aroma chemicals.

ConcreteRose

This is FALL IN A BOTTLE for me. This is my go to when the leaves are changing and the air is cool and crisp uuugh I love this so much. The Amber and vanilla just goes perfectly with a warm fuzzy sweater wrapped around ur skin. It’s gorgeous and A BEAST!

fragranceboy97

This stuff is NUCLEAR.. I don’t hate it by any means, however I never reach for it due to how powerful it is. I do however really love the smell, it’s everything I love in a perfume turned up 1000%

dancinginrain

sprayed the tiniest amount possible on the back of my hand and my brother told me he could smell it in the stairwell after i briefly stood there....aka the best perfume i've ever tried. literally makes you smell edible without being too overpowering and kind of wafts around you?? definitely investing in a bottle

Pfleider2009

One of my favorites!! I use this whenever I go out, It smells like syrup and orange blossom. It sticks on my clothes for a long time.

HollywoodNovaBaby

Not sure if I already reviewed this or not but it’s like the original but woody. Salty vanilla woods.

TheFancyNancy

Not the most sophisticated scent, but it's still a gorgeous photorealistic gourmand. It reminds of sweet buttery popcorn. It also layers really well with other fragrances.

staka01

I have had the Intense for about a year now and I love it. The salty amber smells like deep caramel to me. The salt almost stings but in a way I want more of. I have tested Olympea and while I like it, it is more floral and much less 'intense' so I will stick with the Intense version. I wear this year round and it works for me even in the heat as long as I don't over spray.

Nanners88

This fragrance is beautiful 😍. I can understand how this can be overbearing for some. It is very rich and she be ttthhhiiicccccc. I first received a sample of this and tried it right away because I had been looking into the original fragrance. I instantly fell in love and ordered a full bottle and I do not regret it to date. I kind of want to see how this would smell on my man.

princessqibi

after seeing so many people rave about it i was excited to try it, but she didn't give what she was supposed to gave. nothing wrong with her, just severely underwhelming.

jjluvsm9

Right off the bat, it was love at first smell. Very deep and syrupy, vanilla sweet but I don't find it cloying because the salt note is nicely prominent on my skin to balance it out. Something about it reminds me of JPG Scandal if it was vanilla/amber and not honey based.. they don't smell alike at all but have a similar vibe, syrupy and rich. The longevity is very good for a designer perfume, I get a solid 7 hours out of it. The projection is just moderate on me. I do think it's a safe blind buy if you like gourmands, it's not the most unique fragrance apart from that salt note, and I personally think it's versatile enough to wear this throughout the year.

Edit: my review above was in the summer. Something about this scent on my skin in the summer was giving sweetness. However in the winter it’s not as sweet at all! The amber is the star of the show now. It’s warm and ambery with a whisper of vanilla.

My rating: 8.1/10
Bf rating: 7/10

CreamSunshine

On a paper strip this smells primarily salty to me, with underlying scents of butter and faint aquatic notes. Too afraid to try it on my skin, with that cloying buttery note on the paper.

sharky_shosho

Something the composition of this scent is extremely cloying. I'm a huge fan of vanilla and amber in general and I love aquatic scents as well. But as exciting the notes sound in here there's something wrong, I think it's the orange blossom with the salty notes. I don't know but it isn't as smooth as I expected.

BigBobRoss

Warm sweet salty vanilla with strong amber pressance...

This can be headache inducing so go easy.

Longevity and sillage is extremely strong

The fragrance is pretty generic nothing new but overall a decent scent for the price

chloe_pip

I got this as part of my Scentaddict subscription as I was really intrigued by the comments. It definitely has a sense of grape in there at the initial spray, but I kinda like it. It's warm and I think it smells sexy. I also get pencil shavings, again, I don't mind it. It's an odd perfume, I've not smelt anything like it. I like it, but I don't know how much use I'd get out of a whole bottle.

smelly_goose

I really wanted to like this perfume, because the combination of warm vanilla and salt sounded fun and sexy to me. However, after spraying a sample on myself, it almost made me feel sick. Something about the salt smells so synthetic, almost like a bathroom cleaner. It is very sweet but also heavy and, as someone else accurately put it, oppressive. That being said, my mom tested it on herself and I found it much nicer on her. It may be a combination of body chemistry and age. This one didn’t work for me at all.

herculano

I am happy so many don’t like this, because I unapologetically LOVE IT.

I will never understand my love for this fragrance because I actually find it bizarre and I even, in an objective sense, understand why others would find it off putting.

The salt is synthetic as hell and really quite harsh.
It also does smell exactly like a snickers bar and alternatively like grape cough syrup.
If I had never heard those comparisons I would never have thought of them, but they are so true.

From my perspective, this smells like being on an ocean liner. A cruise ship at night, in the tropics. Salty sea air. It smells new, like a new cruise ship cabin, and tanning lotion. It smells like the excitement of an expensive vacation.

But I love it from start to finish. I just do.

My boyfriend also really loves this one on me.

However, my most resentful feeling about this fragrance is how faint it is after the first 40 minutes. I don’t find this one long lasting AT ALL. I can’t believe others do. Really pisses me off because I love the fragrance itself so much. Maybe it’s nose blindness. Not sure.

I find this perfume as exciting as the type of night where you’re on your way to a rock concert. You’re dolled up, big hair, with the boys, blasting AC DC or Rush, car windows open, smoking a cigarette.

LOVE IT!!!
Rock on!!!

virna.medina

I tried the OG in a 5 ml decant and I like it a lot. But I was going back and forth in buying it because it's just "nice" and not this amazing perfume. So I considered buying Legend for a while after watching lots of youtubers, but then I came across Tik Tok trend and the Intense clearly has some cult followers. I finally pulled the trigger and get this one. Just came in today.

Verdict: I loooooove it.

Reminds me a lot of the original, with bolder vanilla and amber, but I also get some orange blossom and a lactonic note (?)... the orange blossom in this kinda reminds me of Scandal (the OG).

Rozalina

This is so…chewy. The amber in here somehow gives Olympia Intense an edible, gourmand element rather than an earthy or balsamic one. Whereas the original Olympia is like sweet salty skin, this is dark and syrupy, like molasses. I don’t sense the floral notes in this flanker like I do with the OG. The cedar and pepper become more prominent as this dries down, a little too prominent, to my nose. I prefer the original Olympea, which is a masterpiece.

Hypnotic Flower

So so good! I love the OG a bit more but this is wonderful anyways. I tested it on a paper strip in the store and filled my whole house! Projects like crazy

LMBelvi

Olympea Intense—very interesting and unusual amber/vanilla/salt. Those are dominant and pretty delectable, for maybe half hour. Soon after, the sweetness seems to morph away from vanilla and more to a fruity vibe which I like less. So, if I could have the opening scent and it lasted that way throughout I would probably buy a decant or another sample but it’s not full bottle worthy to me.

Hum_C

I was really excited to try this perfume since I love the original EDP. Unfortunately, I do not like it. It does smell similar to the original i.e. salty vanilla with orange blossom but the amber note bothers me here for some reason.. which is strange because I like amber-y fragrances. Longevity and projection is also pretty bad on my skin. So overall, a failed blind buy 😩😩

Atomikbomb_

Eeeek...I truly abhor the opening. I didn't understand why people likened this to grape cough syrup, none of the notes on paper would lead you to believe it could. But it does, and I hate grape medicine. I used to take Dimetapp as a kid and this smells like it. It's syrupy, and somehow smoggy and oppressive. I don't understand what is causing this phenomenon, but I'm not into it. Maybe some of us just interpret the "amber" this way, so you might (I actually hope so) disagree.

However...it does lose that edge after half an hour or so, thankfully. It's not truly ambery to me at all. Not the labdanum/vanilla/resinous kind, or the inexpensive, neo-ambers of Bath & Body Works, Victoria's Secret, mainstream designers or celebrity scents. It's difficult to explain, but I could never describe this as actually being like any type of amber at all, it's kind of a salty, vanilla haze. Again, somewhat smoggy and dense, but it's like a nebulous cloud of a sythentic, (I don't hate stuff based on artificiality, I do like a great deal of things that clearly aren't naturalistic) perfume-y rendition of dulce de leche. I'm really struggling to break this down into a coherent review, the effect is rather ineffable. It also does smell far cheaper than the price tag.

I'm really torn, because I like the dry down, and find it intriguing even if it smells junky. It's like, really fun, indulgent, overtly sexual chemical crap...100% in keeping with the Paco Rabanne asthetic 😂 Yet...I find myself compulsively sniffing my shirt (*AFTER* the grape drama evaporates).

This is like a TLC drama; loud, contrived, tacky, but somewhat addictive. Weird. I'm gonna call it "ok".

Forbiddenjade

Tried again.
Nope... this. Just. Smells. Cheap and synthetic. Nausea inducing! We all have different taste but this is just plain awful.
Go for the original ladies, I'm saving you a disappointment.

Linnealicia

Maybe it's just the new formulation but I feel so nauseous when wearing this :( I get why people like it but sadly its a scrubber for me

leafia

this is by far one of, if not THE sexiest perfume I have ever encountered. it is described as “carnal and irresistible” and I could not agree more — that is exactly what this scent is. I remember being disappointed when I first encountered the original olympéa when it was launched in 2015. I loved the bottle, and I wanted so badly to love the scent as well, but I just didn’t. to this day, the original is still just a meh for me. it has nothing on its darker, more intense sister. olympéa intense truly is the essence of a goddess in a bottle! I often get complemented for how good I smell when I wear this on a night out, and funnily enough it seems to appeal to both men and women in the same way, which is interesting! all in all this is a perfect ten in my book and if nothing else, this is the perfume I will be wearing when I slide down the pole to hell.

tdavi21

If you love deep amber scents, this is for you! The amber is more prominent but the vanilla is right behind it. After it sits on the skin you can grasp the saltiness which I really like. It’s deep and sexy, but still great to wear as an every day scent. The original is definitely lighter as this one is deeper, but the original is still deep. I really like both! You don’t need many squirts though

Sarah Gabrielle

Olympia intense smells good but I prefer the original. It also does not last very long on me (must be my skin chemistry). The amber is very noticeable and I think that is what stops me from loving this scent.
Longevity: 5

Xehanort

My little sister said that it smells exactly like a silly putty toilet and now I just can't forget this comparison, because she's right. (even though it's my favorite perfume!)

spiceysauce5

This is really good. As others said its straight salty/vanilla/amber, but the florals do peak in and out a bit. Honestly i think the salty amber thing is unique enough without having a ton of notes in it. It doesn't remind me of every other fruity floral or super gourmand which is nice.

I do agree that theres a touch of salted caramel, but not too much. I don't agree with those who said its super gourmand, I find it more semi-gourmand at most.

I think the salt with the florals in the original grossed me out a bit, but in this heavier sweeter version the salt is great. It balances out the sweetness to make it more interesting and less "winter-only"

7.5/10

Dancer_kr

Very deep, rich, and syrupy. I get lots of amber, the smallest hint of vanilla and salt, and that’s about it. It’s simple and linear but can be cloying if oversprayed. I think this is better for the winter, when it’s super cold outside.

On me, it smells almost like cough syrup. I’m still unsure how to feel about it. My mom did say it smells cheap when she sniffed it, but then again she likes Estée Lauder and Dior perfumes so 🤷🏽♀️

Longevity is kinda weak, it lasts 4 hours on my skin.

Bottle is absolutely stunning!!!!! The juice is a rich deep yellow/orange color.

Edit: I had to give this one away y’all, I couldn’t handle it anymore:( the rich syrupy drydown was bothering me and I started to feel like I had sprayed grape cough syrup on myself.

Lamiawitipo

I am not sure what white amber note is supposed to smell like but to me Olympea Intense smells almost exactly like North-African traditional pastry soaked in honey and orange flower water. It is a lovely comforting scent but so sweet that I can only bear it in very cold weather. Very good lasting power and moderate sillage.

Adyzibee

Ambery salty vanilla bomb , not a love but a like

fmangion

This is the most warm, comforting amber vanilla ever. I could smell it on me all day and got a lot of compliments. Perfect cosy winter scent. Love it 10/10 🥰

198999tri_

10/10 for Longevity and sillage. Smells so wealthy😍😍😍

NelleB

I bought this and Afnan ornament pour femme 3.4oz (not homme) and realized they smell exactly alike 100% dupe. Olympéa 2.7 oz was about $80 while Afnan 3.4 oz was $50. I ended returning Olympéa intense and kept Afnan only to realize I’m not a fan of Amber as a top note. I did a test on both, they have the same longevity and sillage as well. I’m going to sell my Afnan ornament for $40 if anyone is interested and it’s barely used

*loves_shoes*

Peppery orange blossom, strong and warm from the start.
Spicy vanilla and warm, woody amber base.
Ambergis gives the slight salty vibe… definitely not light, and not particularly powdery or marine.
The pepper lasts on your clothes, the vanilla on your skin.

This is a strong, deep, serious perfume, it’s amazing.

The notes listed here only tell half the story, it’s like reading the back cover instead of the novel.

Edit: lasts forever on clothes, and almost forever on skin. Easily as long as some of the best performers like Nishane Ani etc.

realitygreene

Unfortunately I cannot compare Olympea Intense to the original or any of the other flankers because Olympea Intense is the only one in the line I have tried so far. I stumbled across a sample randomly and was immediately captivated by this scent. The notes make this fragrance seem so simple - amber, vanilla, and salt. For some reason I also get a caramel vibe from this fragrance. This fragrance is the epitome of sexy despite the simple composition. I reach for this when I want to feel feminine and sensual. I usually say that I am not one who cares about longevity or projection, yet when a fragrance outperforms in both categories I seem to be very impressed and in love with the fragrance. So, maybe I do care. On me, Olympea Intense is just as gorgeous 9 hours after application as it is upon the initial spray. This fragrance smells so incredibly good. I am glad I have a large bottle and I cannot wait to try the others in the line, especially the original. This fragrance has definitely earned a spot in my fall/winter rotation. I did try it once in the summer time because I thought salt = summer and boy was I wrong. It was very strong. Won't do that again!

WinterSneeuw

I love this perfume, one of my 2 first desinger brands scents that I bought with my own money. It smells like a salty desert.

MimesOtto

This is like the older sister of Olympia..she is warmer, darker but just as salty! not everyone is going to like this one, in my opinion it is delicious and sexy, another great flanker!

ArtByLeia

I really wanted to like this. But I just don't. Actually, I despise it. I've by now long sold it and I still think of how absolutely terrible I found this one. It's the only perfume I have ever sincerely despised in my entire life lol. Please test before buying.

MrsSage

I pulled this out recently and forgot how much I enjoy it. I'm not usually a fan of vanilla but combined with the salt and amber it works really well. Very cozy and potent ambery gourmand which is perfect for colder days/nights, I can smell it faintly on my wrist the next day even after a shower. Femme and seductive, but I think its versatile enough for a man to pull off. I really love the salt, it almost leans towards some kind of ocean/popcorn hybrid accord.

SouthSim

Stronger vanilla with a hint of amber. It sits better on my clothes than skin. Great sillage.

pvincenty

I originally purchased the original Olympea, which was okay, but I didn't like it enough to keep it. The salty notes on my skin were very prominent and made me feel like I smelled sweaty. Since the intense was said to have more Vanilla and Amber I decided to give that one a shot so it can be a going out nighttime perfume for the summer or daytime appropriate during cooler weather. I did like it in the beginning, maybe even thought I loved it. However, I wore it one night to a club this past week, and I'm not sure if it was because I was nauseous from something else (car ride, caffeine on an empty stomach, maybe) but this perfume made me feel SICK. I would keep getting whiffs of it and it truly disgusted me to the point where I went to the bathroom and tried washing it off with water. It stayed around regardless and I had to end up using my BBW sanitizer all over my neck and chest lol needless to say this is very long lasting. I need to try it one more time when i'm feeling good to see if it was a one-time thing. If it isn't, it's going in the declutter pile!

Draco_Dormiens

I really enjoy Olympea Intense. I know that Pure Xs from Paco Rabanne is supposed to have a popcorn note in it (I had Pure Xs in past and no matter how I tried I could not smell popcorn in there). But strangely I find that Olympea Intense reminds me of freshly cooked salted caramel popcorn. It doesn't smell like real, edible popcorn, but there is something that reminds me of it (if that makes sense). I find that it does smell a little bit artificial (which I personally don't mind, but I can see how someone may not like it). Overall I would say it is a balanced fragrance, it is not too sweet, because of the saltiness in it. It is a very cozy, pleasant fragrance that can be worn throughout the year, especially in the fall/ winter season.

pennny

I didn't like it... It is someway synthetic like a medicine.. too nauseous for me 😒so disappointed if someone interested I am selling my bottle

Kizzyb93

I feel this becoming one of my Favourite scents out of my collection black xs Had been my favourite for years however I was really nervous about buying Olympia intense and I hadn’t heard a lot about it I sprayed it I knew it was love at first spray and it lasts really well on me I get complimented all the time and I’ve been used it two weeks and I’ve gone through a quarter of the bottle already definitely one of if not my favourites I never really have been a big fan of Paca Rabanne but I really have formed a little masterpiece with this
Update: I am set to absolutely adore this! now it’s just meh ….

cloudy sky

I bought this perfume based on all of the great reviews. I am usually attracted to sweet, gourmand and, yes, kind of basic perrfumes (my history includes LVEB, Ferragamo Amo, Dolce Garden etc). I wanted to smell like ooey gooey salted caramel.

Instead I smell like a flat glass of coca-cola. I don't get any salt or caramel at all. I only get the vanilla and a really synthetic one at that. So sad that I wasted my hard earned cash on this. If anyone is in Seoul, South Korea and wants to swap or buy DM me!

sandwa

Every where I see a review for this one, everyone says it's a winter scent, but to me this is super summery! I think that salt note makes this smell more aquatic / beachy. That mixed with the sweetness gives it a sunscreen vibe but in a good way. As for the notes, it's super straight forward. You clearly smell vanilla, amber, and salt. Although I smell summer, I see how most people think cold weather - night time. I could see this being worn on a date. I guess this one is versatile because of its simplicity!

miss_aly

I haven't tried the original Olympea, but I wanted to give this one a try first based on reviews. At the initial spray you get this delicious blend of amber and vanilla. Then after a few minutes you can really smell the sweet saltiness. I didn't know how I'd feel about a fragrance with "saltiness" in it... but I really like it! The dry down is this soft sweetness with a hint of salt. Overall I really like this one, but I do wish it projected a bit more. It lasts pretty long on the skin but definitely isn't a beast mode fragrance. If it was a bit stronger it'd be a love for me! I will say it's unique to my collection and is definitely my fave amber perfume that I've tried next to "Gold" from Commodity.

mirnam

I blind bought this fragrance thinking it would be a more wintery version of Olympea which I absolutely adore (at least most of the reviews said so). However it turned out to be something completely different, very old smelling and not well blended at all. Olympea Intense is to me Olympea's great grandmother without any of its charms. Stick to the original and save both your money and your nose.

katierose4260

This was love at first spray for me. I just received it yesterday in the mail and sprayed it directly on skin. Like I have said many times, sometimes it only takes 3 notes to make a masterpiece. For example Alien by Thierry Mugler (Jasmine, Woody Notes, and Amber). It took three notes to make one of the most seductive fragrances to exist. Olympea Intense only has Amber, Salt, and Vanilla. Let me tell you about this beauty. It started off on my skin as a warm amber and then the sweet, boozy vanilla came in topped with some salt. Perfect for the beach which is what I actually bought it for. A blind buy that did NOT disappoint. I leave for a week and this along with Alien Goddess is what I am bringing. Check this out!

sashazor

This is certainly Olympea's warmer counterpart. Unlike the original, I think this scent is far more fitting for cooler weather.

The opening felt like salty caramel to me, and then as it dries down, Amber seems to take the center stage with Vanilla taking the backseat. It's very warm, very sexy, definetly seductive. Sillage is pretty strong, and like other Olympeas, it lasts forever on my skin.

I will give props the massive sillage and longevity of this perfume. It's very well crafted.

KymIndigo

A salty-sweet, vanilla caramel, ambery, sensual fragrance. This one goes on quite strong so give it a good ten minutes to dry onto your skin before taking it in properly. The vanilla caramel saltiness gives off an indulgent, aphrodisiac "give me more" vibe, and the amber keeps it classy and traditional.

This would be a great date fragrance, for femme fatales, and for those like their scents sweet and sexy.

sybilline

I had to wear this one a few times to "get it". At first it was a bit much, and it smelled exactly like those old antibiotic syrups my parents forced on me when I was little, cloying, chemical and sickly sweet. But a few days ago, wearing Olympea Intense on a cold rainy evening, I got it! It turned on my skin, and it smelled so damned nice, I could barely believe it. I swear I smelled whipped cream in here, like chantilly cream. It doesn't smell salty sweet to me, but it smells like a sweetness cut with something grounded, resting on a creamy background. If I hadn't seen the notes and just sniffed it blind, I would NOT have been able to pick out anything specific. I think it smells like how the bottle looks; golden, luxurious, well-rounded. Makes me think of autumn afternoons, cozied up in some little nook with a good book. Maybe it's just a tiny bit mature for my taste, personally, but hell if I'm gonna stop wearing it. I'm really glad I didn't give up on this one.

Anitanita.

I just love this one, much much better and longer lasting than original one.Smell like sweet sea in a bottle .Very sexy smelling perfume.Downside, everyone have it .

vanillanush

This one is so much better than the original Olympea and, yes, they do have pretty different smells. What I didn't like about the original is that it has this weird aquatic note to it, which might be what makes the perfume unique or likable to many, ended up reminding me of a bathroom freshener. This one is very different in a sense that it's sweet, rich, and far more strong. Definitely a perfume for confident woman who isn't shy about her perfume filling the whole room, as this one has a quite powerful sillage and longevity. I don't think this perfume is masculine at all like a few of other reviews mentioned. It's your typical sweet girly perfume, but stronger, which makes sense since its name indicates about its intensity. Overall a great fragrance to have in your collection and I think it will also be a good compliment getter. I was looking for something that could replace la vie est belle for me since I love sweet vanilla perfumes and most of them lack the good performance while la vie est belle is an actual beast, and I think this one will take upon that role. While it's not as strong as la vie, I think this is the best option I could find of a sweet and youthful smelling perfume with enough maturity that does not end up smelling like a grandma perfume as I have noticed seems to be the case for many perfumes that have a very good performance.

FloralJasmine

Smells like a deliciously warm, sweet and salty pastry.😍

Enchanted77

Sweet & salty creaminess that has great performance as well. This is a definite favorite of mine, especially in the heat but I wouldn’t hesitate to wear it anytime of year 😍

Tasnimbakir

Paco rabanne olympēa intense

Fragrance Notes :

White pepper, Orange blossom, Grapefruit blossom, Salted vanilla, Cedarwood, White amber

Year of release : 2017

Olympea intense is a very elegant and addictive fragrance . Though it's a vanilla based fragrance , it's not too sweet . You can call it salty-vanilla fragrance . On the opening , I get citrusy touch because of the cedar and then after few minutes I get the fresh amber , orange blossom and salty caramel altogether which is really outstanding. This is neither sweet nor bitter fragrance. This is actually an excellent blend of amber , caramel , salt which you can also get in the dry down. A sensual warm fragrance for women who love vanilla based fragrances.

This is basically a fall to winter based fragrance but I sprayed it yesterday just to know that how long it lasts on my skin and clothes in summer time . It stayed on my clothes for 12-13 hours with first 3 hours of heavy projection and then it became moderate and for last 3-4 hours its became a skin scent but the person beside you can still get the smell. It stays more on my clothes in winter .

Age group : I think girls of any age can wear it without any hesitation.

Perfume is a very subjective thing. So before buying a full bottle of it, try a sample or decant first

Thanks a lot <3

Vanilla, amber, and burnt sugar. I don't love amber but here it is tame. Cozy and gourmand and very nice especially for the price.

Riskitallforhoseok

I own the original Olympea edp and I kept telling myself that I don’t need the intense version.
Well.. I went to the store and tested it and I definitely DO NEED the intense version 🤡😀🤌
This one is a little more unisex , deeper , richer and warmer, Perfect for colder days.I’m obeessed with the dry down of this perfume , it reminds me a little bit of the Paco Rabanne Pure XS.Also its very long lasting and people will definitely notice your scent 🤩

MrAbbas

I really love it. Salty vanilla that is warm and sweet. Smells sexy and inviting. I imagine it on a sexy bombshell or a cougar who preys on younger men. Has a great sillage and a great performer. Cold weather type of a scent. I feel a man can get away with it if he has a metrosexual personality.

Advice: Layer this with Montale Sensual Instinct.... Be ready to hurt some feelings.

miZZpuRRfect

@lilibeth such a shame u had the occasion to grab a bargain with this gem and then forget about it… ? How could you…. It’s not the cheapest on the markrt though - and finally you accidently destroyed it. Gosh what a pitty.
Since i bought it it’s one of my absolutely favorits in my huge collection. It’s so incredible strong and sexy without being overbaring. Sweet and salty. Lil‘ powder - so utterly feminine. Love it. It‘s perfect for any time of the year and any occasion less at the work/office. Too sexy.

Caseystewart64

This perfume is beautiful to me especially the dry down, the first initial sprays may be a bit intense for you but give it ten minutes.. it’s sexy & beachy great summer night scent, but also I could see myself wearing this in the winter as well and it being just as beautiful

lillybethholmes

A funny-not-funny story about Olympea Intense: I found a nearly full bottle in my local charity shop for a steal. They had a load of perfumes donated and I believe they were all genuine and donated as part of a collection cull. Stuck it in my handbag. Forgot about it in my handbag. Put something heavy on top of my handbag by accident, depressing the spray. Bottle now has about 5ml in it and my handbag is SATURATED in it. It *was* a nice, but yes, intense, salty, ambery, vanilla-y use-sparingly-and-you'll-be-fine addition to my own collection. Now, it is a nauseating handbag ruining sh*thead I wish I'd never bought! My hands are covered in it from emptying out my bag, it's in my lungs, it's in my hair. Olympea Intense is my life now. We are one. And my head is pounding. NB: It is NOT a 'bad' perfume, I just smelled more of it at once than I would ever wish to ;)

Nicholeta

I cannot get enough of this scent! OG Olympea is one of my signature scents so I wanted to try the intense version since I was looking for a sexy simple unique fragrance for summer nights.
Oh boy, I love this scent and cannot not have it in my collection. Salt, Vanilla and Amber that’s exactly what you get.
True masterpiece not only for summer night but all year around.
I picture a very elegant, sensual and fun woman wearing it.

Samisha

I wasn't sure whether I liked it at first. It reminded me bit of Chloe Narcisse. But oh boy, did this perfume grow on me. The longer I smelled it, the more alluring it became to me. To me this is a very sexy scent.

anni_cola

I really wanted to like this however I don't think the Olympea DNA is for me. Olympea Intense is strong and I love a good strong perfume, but on me it tends to pulls scratchy and itches at my throat. This is the first perfume I've had this reaction to. Besides that, on my skin it was all salty amber with no vanilla to pull it together. However, I passed this perfume on to my sister and she loves it. She finds that it's a bit more unique and doesn't come off as a department store perfume. She likes that it has a bit of a masculine edge. I'll admit that it matches her body chemistry better than I and that goes to show how personal of an experience fragrance is. I would recommend anyone interested in any of the Olympeas to sample beforehand.

Enrium

Oof this is strong! I have yet to compare Olympéa Intense to the original, but the name is apt and should be taken as a warning.

The bombastic opening is heavy and sweet, a harsh symphony of synthetic compounds that is cloying and headache inducing. It smells like salted caramel and amber, with liberal use of vanillin. After the opening dies down a little, an unpleasant plastic-y chemical undertone becomes evident.

There is a slight nutty quality to OI as it develops, and a hint of creaminess, which in addition to the vanilla veers this scent towards gourmand territory, but it is not quite a gourmand. OI is a very linear scent, fading to a softer amber-vanilla accord as it dries down. But it takes forever to dry down, given the nuclear strength of the opening spray.

Sillage and longevity are both strong. But the synthetic linear sweetness is not to my taste, and I find this cloying and unpleasant, ultimately disappointing. 1.5/5.

I'm a mess

A little back story. I picked this one up a long time ago at the sales event, There’s a ton of people there and the fragrance that I am looking for already got snatched up so I’m kinda left with the choices that I don’t really care for but since it’s discounted A LOT, I just thought, Welp since I’m here I am not gonna go home empty handed so I got this and due to me being a pretty young and fairly new to fragrance (and still is lmao😂) I don’t feel like wearing cuz it’s quite grown and doesn’t match my feelings at that time until now that I start picking it up again and appreciate more

This one is AWESOME smell like a sweet gum when first spray then evolved into a warm salted caramel coated nut also there’s a grittiness to it maybe a crush nut or gritty sand (not beachy) It’s very sensual to me like a nude brown color in 90s supermodel makeup. It’s radiating warmth and coziness you could wear this on a fancy date or chilling under the most coziest blanket at home. it’s perfect for fall, winter and spring/summer night. If nutty, salted sweet and cozy is your thing you have to try this baby out.

GiBaby

This smells like La Vie Est Belle Intense, which smells similar to GON. If you like that vibe of fragrance you will enjoy this.

meadow28

Olympea intense is not like Olympea original at all to me. No florals- warm salty vanilla. Delicious! Here's the vibe- you're vacationing on your favorite coast and you're on the boardwalk buying Vanilla saltwater taffy ❤ It's the end of summer, the sun is setting and your skin is still warm from the tan you got that day, but you shrug a lightweight kimono on for that night chill....

Leviosa394

This smells like pencil shavings. Not for me, unfortunately

Mlepnos

Olympea intense is extremely sweet, someone wrote that it smells like a snickers bar and I have to agree. Not bad, but I would probably not buy a whole bottle. Quite linear and heavy as well, but it lasts long on me so that’s good. Simply a like but not a love.

6/10, a little bit above average (5/10 would be that generic sweet floral fragrance that we all know and don’t necessarily hate but wouldn’t spend any mula on either).

mapache

Did not like the original first Olympea....
Received a sample of Intense ...and.....bingo !.....love at first sniff. Surprised, to say the least. Now I am eager to sample Legend and Blossom versions.
Full bottle coming soon !!

Rivercat

I wanted to try the OG Olympea but could only score a sample of Intense. It's browsing a candy store on the pier at the end of the season. Cool, salty vanilla with a strong plastic vibe. Not something I will wear, but an interesting scent.

StinkyTinky

I get it now. I didn’t before. This actually smelled quite metallic to me when I received this last fall. IMO that’s not when this was made for. I actually didn’t touch my bottle again until May this year.
There’s something amazing about how this melts into the skin in the heat. The salt accord still smells sharp sniffing the atomizer but does wonders when applied to the skin.
The vanilla plays a much bigger part in the heat. The salty side of it paired with the amber tones gives you the beach at sunset vibes.
The intense version is just that, so she stays relatively present for a few hours- be forewarned. But I love it.

Eau de Hanneli

Testing a free sample, I am a fan of salty accords (thanks to frags like Embruns d'Ylang). I have not tried the original Olympéa and I was expecting this sample to be just another fruity floral like the others I received with this particular order.. I am pleasantly surprised that it is not. Before reading the notes I got honey and mimosa in the opening, I find the opening crazy sweet. Thankfully it mellows out and dries down to a pleasant salty sweet skin scent. I think it would shine on a summers day by the sea.

Insomnia77

It straight up smells like a Snickers bar, not kidding. Very linear and heavy. I'm not sure whether I want to smell like a Snickers bar

ShoGirl

OK I'm kinda old and a bit gothic-boho and very contrary in my nature so I never have any interest in the fragrances that are currently most in vogue, so since Olympea seems currently very fashionable, and also has a sort of sporty clean aesthetic in the packaging and branding, this was not one that appealed to me at all. However I got a free sample of Olympea Intense with another purchase, so threw it in a travel bag on a recent trip for a walking holiday (perfume on a walking holiday! yes I *am* that extra) as I wanted just a little something to keep my fragrance loving heart happy as I did fun things outdoors on my holiday.

The trip was amazing and the weather was incredible; lots of great photos and lifelong memories.

But throughout this I couldn't help but notice just how great I smelled; Olympea Intense is a nice but unremarkable fragrance indoors, but what I found out is on hot, lightly sweating skin, in blazing sunlight, and even splashing in and out of water on the beautiful isolated beaches I was lucky enough to visit on my trip, Olympea Intense gets stronger and transforms into something even more beautiful; the amber seems to come alive and surround my skin in rich deliciousness. It may be just *my* skin chemistry, and I theorise it's something to do with the saltiness of the fragrance that makes it work so well with a little perspiration + heat, but I think this is quite the little marvel and ordered a full bottle the minute I got back home. Quite lovely stuff. I'll be using it as a pre-gymn spritz, during the summer when the sun is at its fiercest, and as a light spray when going walking going forward.

A great "sporty summer" scent that's weatherproof and lifeproof, and I'm definitely intrigued to experiment with more salty perfumes now (maybe original Olympea), I have nothing else like this in my collection and I really love her.

Ellenjaneo

Ok to me this is WEIRD, never in my life have I ever found the Intense version of a perfume to be less intense than the original, but here I am. I own both the OG Olympea and intense, I find Olympea to be super strong and heavy and I actually can't stomach to wear it during summer. It's a beautiful scent but a cold winter only perfume for me. However after getting the intense, yes the amber is stronger here, but also this is very wearable in summer.

This perfume is not strong like the original and in my opinion is just a bit too linear and boring for what I was expecting from the INTENSE version of a perfume like Olympea. I like it, its nice but I think its a slight let down. I get all three notes listed but they're VERY well blended.

Longevity is poor, projection is very close to skin on me and I will use it up but in future I will just repurchase the OG.

(Sounds like a negative review, I do like it and its a good option for anyone who found the OG too heavy or cloying, I was just expecting an amped up OG.)

Marie76

A more gourmand d take on the original, it lacks the citrus opening notes and it's a more mature scent for it, however, the amber note in it (amber is such a weird note, and there are so many types of it) it's a bit scratchy and cheap to me, it smells of cocacola at first. Thankfully it disappears as it dries down and you are left with the lovely salt vanilla combo.

grapefruit352

Very beautiful, feminine, sensual warm fragrance! Reminds me very much Jean Paul Gaultier "Classique essence" eau de parfume and YSL "Libre". Those 3 fragrances are so much alike, so you do not need to have them all at a time. Pick any of them and enjoyyyy!

GabrielleeeeeW

This is not my favorite, a disappointment after wanting to try it for so long! I love the idea of a salty vanilla, but something about this one smells very artificial, and ends up feeling cloying and sickening. It actually had a nice projection and decent longevity. I wanted to like it so bad but I feel as if the original Olympea works better for me.

emi

There is lack of notes here on fragrantica list of notes. According to Paco Rabanne website the complete notes are: grapefruit blossom, orange flower absolute, white pepper, vanilla, white amber and salty ambergris.

Tulikettu

I got a sample of this. Vanilla, amber, salt. That's it. Smells nice but just too boring for my taste. It lacks any kind of nuance. And after 30 minutes of spraying it I cannot smell it at all even when I press my nose right on my wrist, it just disappears on my skin.

So in love with this scent!! As someone else mentioned before, this reminds me of summer or a tropical island. For me it's definitely a summer scent. It's beautiful on my skin and the vanilla is not too sweet. I feel like it's pretty long lasting. Can't wait to wear this on long summer days!

SallyGirl

Anyone else get orange blossom? Not a lick of salt or caramel? I do enjoy this perfume as it was a gift from my husband but, definitely NOT a whispering of anything except orange.

Fast forward to reading quite a few opinions on this fragrance, I see I’m not the only one who is really only getting orange blossom. It’s the heavy orange just like Roberto Cavalli.

(Disclosure: Reviewing this based off a sample I ordered from perfume website. Maybe it had gone bad??? Assuming it hadnt, heres my review.)

After hearing a rave review and seeing the notes I was very excited to try this. I love amber and vanilla. 2 of my favorite notes. However, I was very disappointed with this once I smelled it. To me it smells NOTHING like an amber or vanilla perfume. Its like the salt note has distorted both notes into something unrecognizable to me. The best way I could describe it is synthetic sweet tarts. I didn't get any warmth or even powder like the listed accords show. I tried this multiple times just to make sure, but the result was always the same where I disliked it so much that I'd give in and wash it off. (Which i very rarely do, and I try new perfumes all the time!) So just a warning to anyone like me who loves amber and/or vanilla perfumes and thinks this might be that type of perfume but with a slight twist. In my opinion its not. Very glad I only ordered a sample.

noircat

Its salt and vanilla, and I didn't get it lol. I was just like, ok? Why would I want to smell like this? My daughter tried it though and it smells amazing on her. Will be getting her a bottle in future and this is my reminder to do so!

alliesunshine

Guys!!!! I don’t know if it’s my skin chemistry or what but this is intense to the same level as Mugler Alien. I feel like all the nuance of the original Olympea is gone and your just left with a really overwhelming salty vanilla that to me was an instant headache. I think the original is just so much better and this one is not needed. But again! Could just be the way my skin ate this up. Cheers

AllaboutRayRay

I bought this in a sample size. I am glad I didn't purchase a full bottle. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it. I just don't love it. It is a warm scent. I can definitely smell vanilla, amber, and salt, but it is a subtle intimate scent (at the moment I wanted something with heavy sillage). The memory it drudges up is salted chocolate chip cookies taken out of the oven (minus the chocolate of course), but that smell of sugar and vanilla baked with a hint of salt. I agree this is an evening and cooler weather scent.

lovePerfumes222

my husband bought it for me on valentines day and no surprise that everytime i was wearing it he told me how good i smell...
it’s very sweet but not too strong, i love it for winter. sexy sweet scent. i understand why some people won’t like it and think it is too sweet and synthetic but i personally love this scent and would buy it again.

DanielJD

This stuff is damn AMAZING.

I’m Male and this juice is unisex, reminds me of Gaultier 2, rich, vanillic, a solid drench of buttery sweetness. 10/10

lila_says

Wow, what an awful fragrance. NOT A SAFE BLIND BUY, I should have heeded the other reviews. I like the other Olympias, I love the listed notes, I DO NOT like this fragrance. Very sweet, very cloying and synthetic, I don't get any amber, salt, or vanilla. I'm going to try to add this sparingly when I want to sweeten masculine scents.

EmilyRo2e

This, for me, is a perfect salty/sweet vanilla. I love this one on it's own or layered. If you like sweet perfumes, but not cloying, you will probably like this one. Make no mistake though, this is NOTHING like the original Olympea. It's sweet and warm, whereas the original is very heavily aquatic and floral. I definitely prefer the Intense.

dayana_didi

Very sexy fragrance. Godness

Forbiddenjade

Of course my review will be voted down by the many lovers of this number - it's an unpopular one. But buyer beware before dismissing it, at risk of a huge disappointment. This is a blast of synthetic, harsh and salty amber with a faint back of vanilla. Test before you buy, it is NOT as lovely as the original!
Vibes of old school numbers and I can't put my finger on it, but I smelled this before.
I find it both underwhelming as in lacking originality, and overwhelming as it's too in your face for that. In the end, reminds of a dated and rather sticky affair, one you want to forget as fast as possible.
Thank God I only got the 30 ml. This goes straight back. I prefer the original, way better balanced and classier.

KylieBooFace

I have a sample and don't like how it smells when first sprayed. Like the other Olympeas I tried, it is much more pleasant at the drydown, and the tiniest bit is nuclear-strong. I still get a nose-burning aquatic feel when I spray it on my skin. It smelled pretty good when I sprayed it on a tissue and dabbed it on my skin. The drydown is a soft ambery vanilla, but the vanilla feels very slight and the aquatic still takes away from the vanilla beauty. I already can get a comforting, sweet amber-y drydown from a Thousand Wishes and Moonlight. Even then, amber can be overdone. I still think I like this better than Olympea Aqua Legere, which has almost headache-inducing sunscreen aquatics. I think it is softer than Olynpea original, but I would need to compare. If this came as the drydown, with a dash more of vanilla, I think it could be really nice.

Yourmomgoestocollege

Blind bought this, based on seeing it on many "big sillage" scent lists, which is my jam, and browsing the reviews here- which I rely on to the point that nothing ever truly feels like a blind buy. You guys tend to steer me in the right direction collectively. I'm a big fan of all who take the time to contribute!

Unsurprisingly, Olympea Intense comes on STRONG. Which is exactly what I look for. She's a Ouiser, not a Truvy.

I'm not into close lying skin scents, unless I'm going to bed. I want to be surrounded in a cloud. (That's obviously a personal preference, and I do wonder how often people are left choking in my wake?) Well, we are in a pandemic, and I never leave the house!

I really don't get vanilla here.

I did pick up on salt. Super salt. For the first few hours, I feel like I'm in a salty caramel cloud lined with warm amber. I think the comparison to Womanity comes after the 3 hour mark, where both turn into a salty strawberry dream on me. (No strawberries mentioned in either scent's profile or pyramid. Idk where it's coming from?!)

I definitely get the menthol or camphor note some people are noting. It's almost like...off to the sides. It's very symmetrical somehow. It...burns a little? Like it wants to give me a headache, but I don't want to let it.

This is a scent for a day when you can power through, NOT a day when you're feeling a little weak or worn out already. If you're feeling a bit sickly, skip it! (Another similarity with Womanity, which I LOVE, but only if I am in the mood, and if I wear it below the waist. (Behind my knees, ankles- NO higher. On my arms or neck and Womanity makes me sick...so weird, because if I keep it low- it delights me all day. Even in the car, windows up. )

Something about Olympea Intense makes me think of a buttery graham cracker. The honey sweet sharpness...( No honey note. My nose is broken?)

It neat. I'm glad to have it. I look forward to trying it behind my knees in the summertime!

lavenderclouds

Olympea Intense is so gross to me. The amber is extremely harsh, strong, and synthetic; combined with the salt note, it becomes incredibly overwhelming and heavy and cloying. There's a harsh, chemical-y undertone to the scent which almost reminds me of burning rubber or plastic or menthol. All in all, it made my nose burn and my stomach turn horribly. Hard pass.

Samira b

I got a mini perfume set of Paco Rabanne perfumes as a gift. there were: lady million, lady million prive, Olympea and Olympea intense. And guess what?! Olympea intense become my favorite at first sight. I usually prefer sweet light, floral scents. but this perfume got all my attention with its sweetness, saltiness, and some bitterness. I ended up buying 100 ml. every time when I use it makes my mouth water as if I wanna try some oriental seasoned snacks. maybe it is because of the salt in it. at this point, I can call it a gourmand scent. however, indoors, or at the office where the area does not have good ventilation, this salt becomes "dusty" or too much powdery, and people around you can say "your perfume chokes me." It doesn't give a headache, but it chokes (like pepper dust you know). I never heard people around me complimenting this perfume, like:
"nice perfume, what is it?". anyways I still love it. but I wear it carefully, just a couple of sprays, and sometimes I apply some fresh scents on top of it, to reduce heaviness.

Missmaassen

I blind bought this because I am a big amber lover. With such simple notes I couldn't imagine much going wrong. I have tried "olympea" in the past and wasn't really impressed as the salt note was too salty for me. Also, there was a girl in my class who wore it every day so I became overwhelmed by the smell.

With olympea intense I AM IN LOVEEE! A very sexy, sensual, smooth lingering amber skin scent. On myself amber & vanilla are going strong. The salty note is quiet in the background but still detectable. A great recommendation for any amber & vanilla lover. This fragrance is a strong woman who knows what she wants. I can see this one being very pleasing at night time or on an evening date. Think the perfect red/black dress, killer heels and the perfect red lip x

P.S. as much as I love this, I would not recommend if you're not an amber lover. Test it out a few times before you make a final verdict. First try was an intense blast on me, but the fragrance kept getting smoother and creamier as the hours went by :) ❥

Taurien

Since I love original Olympea, I wanted to give its Intense version a try too. This one, although I liked it, has not stolen its position as one of my favorite perfumes.

It is extremely sweet, somewhat woody, amber, dark, heavy, with a top in which I perceive a lot of orange blossom but later being less floral than the original. It is an Olympea jam, an Olympea that we have left open and that has lost some notes due to evaporation, leaving it more salty but also sweeter. During the time we wear it, except for the first half hour when I notice a lot of orange blossom, it is linear.

It has presence, with a high trail and a duration on my skin of about 8-9 hours.

Intense, not suitable for diabetics, nocturnal, wintery, to wear occasionally if we do not want to get bored because it is somehow monotonous. I liked it but Olympea has more personality for me.

Ordered this, I wasn’t really ever a fan of original olympea ever, so I’m really interested in this one and have been for a while, I don’t generally like salty but I feel maybe I should have one like that in my collection, looking forward to receiving it!

YAY! I really like this, the original olympea is wayyyy too salty and fresh for me, THIS is my VIBEEEE. Warmer and more gourmand leaning yet not quite there yet. Sweet, but not very sweet at all, a little salty and marine like enough that I’d wear this on holiday in a hot country at night time. This is in the same vein as ysl libre intense to me, they don’t smell the same ofc - just the same vibe.

Longevity wise, 6 sprays, 30/40mins it’s not projecting much anymore. I can still smell it up to 5/6 hrs later tho!

I sold this, didn’t really wear it. I’ll just accept I don’t like olympea even if I try and convince myself lol

KateElizabeth

Very sweet and salty perfume, as others have mentioned. While I wouldn't suggest wearing this to the office or in the middle of the summer, I could see it as a really good choice for an autumn or winter date night, as it does have a certain alluring quality to it. Also, because the salt note is so prominent, this perfume sets itself apart from other sweet, popular perfumes on the market. It's not something I'll be purchasing for myself, but I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of bold and/or sweet/gourmand perfumes.

igalmusic

This is a sex in the bottle type of a fragrance, I absolutely love it! It's long lasting and unique, in my opinion it suits more brunettes than blondes, only for confident ladies. The best flanker of all Olympea!

soumayaela

This is only for people who like amber and, strong and thick

It's terribly sweet (not gourmand) and the salt note can smell weird but i looooooove it, the vanilla is not really powerful and is hidden by the strong note of amber. The vanilla here adds a little creaminess and sweetnes up the amber
It's so strong and sexy
Only for bold women and for "practiced" noses, not your typical crowed pleasing perfume

I love it so much but only for very cold days

I have a sample and hesitate if i should get a bottle or not
I guess i will 'cause i don't have anything like it in my collection and i always tend to buy florals, i guess i need to get some risks

Unlike people here in the comment section, it doesn't give me a headache or nausea

Sillage and longevity: 10/10
Uniqueness: 10/10
My rating: 8/10 (still very thick and sweet for me)

ingeneuxo

-Similar to Olympea EDP.
-Can get heavy and cloying in hot, humid weather.
-Smells way more powdery than the original.
-Somewhat off-putting.
-Not fbw. (-)

mimi_1996

This is delightful! I adore the dry down of the original Olympea, however I can’t get past the opening and something in it makes me feel really nauseous. Olympea Intense is smooth and buttery, and takes me straight to the dry down of the original but sweeter and creamier.

essiesfrags

Damn. I never had a fragrance give me such a headache as this one. I expected a light aquatic salt note with a light whipped vanilla and some amber in the background, but boy did i get the opposite. This is just an amber bomb thrown at your face with no mercy. Seriously if you spray this you have to run out the room. To me it smells just NASTY. Not a safe blind buy unless you like to smell like mud and amber. Anyways i would like to have a talk with who decided to make this #sorrynotsorry

chloematilda

I didn't want to like this. Yes, I've become a bit of a fragrance snob over the years and....well Paco Rabanne. But, I LOVE this so much. This is the salty scent of sexy sweet skin magnified 100 times. It's just the right amount of sweet, the right amount of salt, and the amber hums along beneath it all and keeps me spraying. I'm addicted. Did I mention I LOVE this? Moderate projection and lasts through til morning. Waking up and smelling this on my pillow and my arm is bliss. I think that this may be a polarizing fragrance - you'll love it or you'll hate it (read reviews), so don't buy it blind. I bought from a sample and would never have given it a look in otherwise. But I am so glad it landed in my collection.

Joani_Cheddar

OMG BECKY, look at her b~ YUMMY salted buttery delight; im gaining weight just sniffing this divine scent. Im not a fan of the original Olympea, it does not move me one way or another BUT this heavenly oozy goozy goodness is magnifico. It is so frickin smooth! When I smell this scent - i picture creamy caramel being heated up for the making of caramel apples - now it does not smell like caramel or apples but it does smell like the hot caramel looks.

Guerlinade

As I said earlier, we've been shoved gourmands down our throats so much in the last 20 years that we're getting cavities in the brain.
Anyway this flanker is a bit better than its parent Olympéa, slightly more complex.
It projects as laundry detergent, but when I sniff my arm closer it's buttery salted caramel. I'm not excited, I won't buy it, it's just ok. Lacks complexity, definitely overpriced and overhyped.

MaxieF

I blind bought a travel spray of this. I get zero salt and zero vanilla. All I get is a very VERY strong orange blossom. Also lasting power is endless. Smells dated though. Reminds me of my grandma

soumayaela

First time i smelled this at a perfume shop (after smelling too many crowd pleasing perfumes), i didn't like it at all, it was too sweet for me, the amber note almost gave me a headache, it was a biiiig noooo, it reminded me of olympéa legend, which i dislike a lot very weird scent to me 🤢 and had nothing to do with my favorite loved adored original olympéa (who has some fresh notes + same salty vanilla in olympéa intense). I must say it was hot that day (maybe 26°C)

I had a sample that i sprayed months after that first terrible experience and it was a cold rainy fall day, WOW AMAZING INCREDIBLE it was the best perfume i smelled in a while it was magical sweet cozy and very sexy, kept sniffing my clothes to smell that incredible juice. Now every night i spray a little before i go to bed, i immediately feel warm and cozy

I will buy this for sure!! But i'll only wear it in winter cold days because it's very very sweet

Crazy olympéas! You made it into history perfumes

RossanaJ

This is magic! Love it! For gourmand lovers, this is a must of salt caramel and sweet vanilla Wow!

Iheartperf

I find this suffocating and heavy. I think the amber and salt make a combo that is headache inducing. The original has a similar vibe but the mandarine freshens it up. This one is very round and musky.

charmeliastorm

This was a love at first sniff. It really is the intense version of olympea. I inhale the original and then move over to the intense and it just carries over that salted vanilla into sticky salted caramel territory and I am obsessed. Now I can put away my olympea original for spring and summer without missing out on the salty vanilla caramel obsession. I literally want to eat myself though, that’s a little annoying.

alit

Ok, biased review here, because I love Olympea, Olympea Legend and now Olympea Intense. Give me all of them. You can never mistake this perfume for something else, or at least I haven't smelled anything that resembles any one of the range closely. Legend goes in an overboard sweet direction but still, being a flanker, holds up really well the original idea. As far as Olympea Intense - creamy salty vanilla, amber gives it a punch and a sticky thick substance. I've noticed that Olympea are usually love it or hate it (cloying, medicinal, intoxicating etc) So you just have to test it on your skin and take a stance. For me it's love. 🙂

supersaiyan

I love it but *sometimes* it smells very, very sweet. Most of the time, however, it's more ambery/salty. When I'm smelling it the "right way", it's just so amazingly addictive, like a sweet-salty dream, and you know when you're eating sweet-salty-sweet foods and can't stop, that's the way it is with Olympea Intense. This will sound odd, but I think of a chewy fossilized amber stone when I smell this. Something about it is very chewy. I wish it projected more, but that may just be an issue with my skin, which likes to eat perfume up!

Compared to the original, I love Olympea Intense much more. The original smells generic for me, it's not rich and I can't smell the salt or vanilla, it's just some solar notes and sweet florals. They are basically different perfumes, don't judge one and assume you will like the other! However, this is definitely in my top 5 favourite designer scents.

JD.Berg

Okay, I honestly have mixed feelings towards this perfume! The description mentions nothing about orange blossom, but I could swear the orange blossom in Olympea Intense is very prominent! It mixes well with the vanilla and salt though. But still there’s something about it that doesn’t make me entirely fall for it!! I wouldn’t wear this on dates —unlike many reviews would say; I don’t find it sexy at all! However, I could see myself wearing it on a night out or for lunch and coffee with my friends, but definitely not with my man —unless he thinks it’s sexy! 😬

Rozalina

I haven’t tried the original Olympéa, but the Intense version is very creamy, warm and buttery. The butteriness reminds me of Guerlain’s Mon Exclusif (which actually has butter listed as a note), it must be the amber+salt that gives this fragrance that effect. This is a unique gourmand and quite delicious but ultimately not for me.

kayleenanncooke

I am an orange blossom/jasmine hater I dont like the artificial grape smells that some florals give off. In fact I hate it. It reminds me of grape cough syrup. I can wholeheartedly say this has tons of orange blossom. Please be aware of that. I actually do enjoy the original but this one gives me grapes and a headache and a stomach ache.

Nadia Musa

This might sound unusual but I was never really that interested in the Olympea range. But I got a sample of this and I had to get a full size. This basically gets rid of all the extra floral components of Olympea, strips it down to the bare minimums and amps it up.This straight up smells like salted caramel(probably the amber)drizzled over some kind of vanilla dessert. The salt packs such a punch that I can smell it on the tip of my tongue.Beautiful and unusual.

Scentflower

This perfume smells great but it really smells exactly the same as Pure XS. I sprayed one on one wrist one on the other and couldn't smell a difference. You definitely don't need both.

ma2780

Something about this reminds me of a campfire! It doesn't smell smokey, but it's very warm and woody. I definitely agree with what a few people said in earlier reviews-- this smells similar to The One Essence, and I think that is thanks to the vanilla and amber combo. The salty note makes it a tiny bit savory, but overall this is a v sweet, balsamic fragrance. It's not complex but very smooth and beautifully blended. It reminds me of summer nights (probably the campfire vibe) but is also the perfect olympea for cooler weather. Tbh i don't find this at all similar to Olympea. If I were blind-sniffing, I probably wouldn't even associate them. It's a tiny bit masculine to my nose-- I think the amber-- which I love. Probably one of the warmest in my collection. I wouldn't necessarily call this gourmand, personally, but I can see why others would. It's definitely sweet enough, but to me it doesn't quite have that edible quality, with amber being at the forefront. That said, I absolutely love it :)

Longevity is not great on me, about 4-5 hours and projection is soft.

Jasmindee

This was a bad blind buy for me and I'm pleased to say I finally sold my bottle earlier this week.

I love Olympea. I love her beachy salty vibes mixed with feminine vanilla and dainty florals. However this one is so strong and masculine that it was a complete scrubber for me straight away. Even the gold toned bottle isn't as pretty.

This reminds me of Calvin Klein's Reveal if it was aimed at men. Honestly, Intense could definitely be unisex. I do pick up on that "men's aftershave" note that a few people mentioned in the reviews.

Opening spray is salt. Then more salt. Then a balsamic, smokey amber base. It is VERY strong and heady. I can't knock the lasting power because, phew. This one packs a punch.

Not for me unfortunately.

007richgirl

I blind bought this one based on many raving reviews on YouTube and boy was that a miss!!
Unfortunately, for me this an obnoxious scent. Very cloying!
Kudos to the lasting power and sillage - as soon as I sprayed it on my arm I immediately went to wash it off and it almost didn't budge.
I love vanilla scents and based on the notes of the perfume I thought it will be heavenly but quite the opposite. I must say that Olympea intense smells cheap.
A big NO from me!

Jocovt11

This: “I love Olympéa Intense Paco Rabanne but it is not soft at all. Its the saltiest salt ever, like a punch in the face (somehow with salt).”

Another Fragrantica member wrote that about this fragrance, and I agree with the salt punch in the face. I don’t love this fragrance, but I can understand why people like it, because it dries down to something attractive in a way. But the initial smell, and the literal taste of salt in the back of my throat when I smelled it, makes me not think it’s my style of fragrance. 🤔 I like the original version better.

weegee

The saltiest and warmest fragrance I own amongst my stupid-large collection. I love the gourmand caramel popcorn note that calls to mind wonderful seaside vacations and the absolute clarity of sand, sea and tidal cleanliness one experiences while relaxing and gazing upon the tide coming in.

I'm fortunate to have grabbed 2 bottles while they were still reasonably affordable. If you love sweetly aquatic fragrances that take you to seaside vacations and prompt dreams of same, seek bargain prices of this marvelous fragrance.

MnM

Starts out smelling like something I already own, with a strong dose of men's deodorant soap. Headache inducing and made my stomach lurch argh! I gave it sometime and tried it again- same disastrous outcome. I tried giving it to my daughters, but it was a not go. I ended sending it back.

Dorange Sense

Smells exactly like Pure XS by Quentin Biche. What's tha point?

Koningin

Does anybody smell a similar note to Tom a Ford Orchid Soleil?
It’s not a good thing because to me this is the corn tortilla note, although it’s not as strong in this perfume.

Chellywellie

Vanilla-amber-salt... so basically the notes lol. Strong amber in this, less vanilla.

I get quite a lot of smokiness too, like the smell in your clothes and hair after you’ve been sat round a campfire. And weirdly, a hint of cucumber after a few hours.

Pleasant enough but if we’re comparing then I definitely prefer Olympea Legend in scent, sillage and longevity. I haven’t tried the original :-)

Frag_Freshie

Like many intense versions, if you love the original and think this is the intense version of it,it's not. Slight similarities but I find that I love the original but can't stand the intense version.

The amber is amped up and can be a bit too much. not a summer perfume.

Jessica_Jones

In my opinion this smells EXACTLY like honey (lots of it) with salted butter on a toast. I do love it, it's in my top favorites, but also find it a little weird and non-harmonious. Wouldn't make this my signature but it does get compliments.

HollywoodNovaBaby

IMO, it’s not as ‘intense’ as the original. It’s pretty much the original without the salt and added wood. The original blasts off where this is more smooth. I prefer this, it’s really gorgeous vanilla and woods.

Kristinooh

Finally was able to find a tester of Olympea Intense while in another city.
This fragrance is a true gourmand and smells like an edible amber sweet (if anything like that could exist) with a healthy dose of vanilla and a dash of salt. I have never smelled a perfume like this before and there is something unique about it although it only has three notes. Must try for yourself to fully comprehends how this smells. I found the original Olympea too aquatic for my taste, this is a completely different perfume. I put one spray on my arm in the shop and was able to smell it while on a car ride with the windows open, and was still able to faintly smell it a day later even after a shower. This is a nice sweet fragrance if you want something without any floral notes

bintTapputi

I have this and the original Olympea on my arms now, I don't see any similarity between the two. I REALLY loved the original and was interested to see it amplified, but alas this fragrance does it's own thing entirely. While the two perfumes share no resemblance, I still find Intense to be really nice. Where Olympea is a great day time fragrance, spring-summer mostly, and very refreshing -Intense is the opposite. This is a night time fragrance, really 100% summer nights and maybe early fall, it's very dark and dreamy. It has a lovely powdery nature to it mixed with amber notes and creamy vanilla. It's really delish. I really love it, but it's a step back from the original for me by just a little. It's a little more linear and 'one note' which for me is a bit less interesting. But it's really quite beautiful. 7.5/10

Science&Scents

This flanker is what I expected from the pillar. Olympea Intense is certainly not more "intense" in terms of projection and is decidedly more gourmand--there's more of the vanilla and salt combo (as others have said) and way less of the aquatic florals. After an hour or so, the intense and the pillar are very similar but the floral/aquatic of the pillar jumps off my skin.

The two of these layered is the sweet spot for me. Not exactly economical but the intense gives the pillar more of the gourmand-ish heart without sacrificing that beastly sillage.

RachelSeun

I strongly disagree with the idea that this is the intense version of the original Olympea. Olympea itself is intense and this fragrance leans more sweeter and muskier, whereas Olympea is brighter and saltier. Olympea Intense is a lovely flanker though, it is a creamy and heavy salted vanilla scent that wears beautiful on skin and clothes throughout the day. Very sexy and it is a complimented getter. One to try if you like the original fragrance however, do take caution as this isn’t an intense version of the original just a lovely flanker in and of itself.

sevde.kasa

Definitely a beach scent with lots of salt/vanille with a huuuuuge sillage and longevity. If you're into suntan lotion type of scents, don't think just go for it!
:)

iszzieanna

Blind buying because I love the og:

I feel like this scent is more mature than the og Olympea and it’s a very strange scent. Upon smelling it at the atomizer I don’t even know what I am smelling. It’s a weird synthetic note. (EDIT: I love that synthetic note now. It’s the salt. I just didn’t know what I was smelling)

I just sprayed it on my skin and now I understand what people meant by salty-oceany vibes. It’s pretty decent on my skin. Nothing amazing. It just smells like this weird synthetic note mixed with vanilla and sweetness.

I feel like maybe this would smell better in a candle but not on skin. Maybe I didn’t spray enough. I like it. But just not on me. I wanted to love this because it seemed like people hyped it up but no. I just smell like a walking candle.

UPDATE: okay, know you. Sometimes I don’t like it and sometimes I do. It’s starting to grow on me. It’s like...bronzed warm skin..I'm starting to crave this!

UPDATE AGAIN: it’s now my top 5 favourite scents sooo I grew to love it. It’s beautiful and just yes. Just yes.

DT953

A bizarre fragrance. I've seen some refer to it as masculine and while I feel it has some feminine qualities (orange blossom floral) in the sillage, when smelt close up it's very masculine. I haven't tried the original but 'salted amber' intrigued me. I'm not getting much salted qualities, although it is there, but I am getting a somewhat synthetic vanilla / amber accord and it's kinda nice once that initial shock hits. It's definitely a Paco Rabanne fragrance, one can't expect a naturalistic approach. With that in mind, I rather like it.

Meja.Kast

100% a summer night scent for me. Sultry and a little bit provocative. Sweet but strong. I get a huge blast of orange blossom off the top and within minutes it mellows down to a sexy, honeyed skinscent akin to salty bronzed shoulders and a soft breeze. If Crystal Noir is the black maxi dress at a tropical resort, Olympea Intense is the white linen dress, gold jewelry, and sandals at a sandy desert oasis. That's what I picture.

WildDove

I loved the first minutes in the opening of Olympea Intense, but not the drydown. Some note that I can't identify makes me feel ill. I'm a huge fan of gourmand fragrances, amber and vanilla notes, but can't do this one.

TexasOrangeBlossom

Makes me nauseous and gives me a headache. Can’t press on with it.
Oh, I get it. “Half myth, half muse” I must be in the half part that find the beauty of this fragrance to be a myth while the rest are mused. Lol!

FrkFors

Way more masculine than the original. Aber, woody, mineralish(?) and less sweet. I don't get much vanilla in this either. This is like a more serious or grown up version. Not gourmand in any way. I definitely prefer the original over this one.

Both this one and the original smells vastly different on paper vs. skin! So definitely try it on your skin, don't expect them to smell the way they do on a paper strip.

Quite unisex. I think men should give this a try!

zirzilla

I'm not a fan of sweet perfumes, but I had to make an exeption and add this to my collection. The sweetness is very unique, salty, and I get something juicy in there, too. I think it's a versatile perfume and will be good for both summer and winter because of the contrasting notes in it.

SalinasL

I love the original Olympéa when I’m in the right mood for it. This one, as you might expect, smells basically the same but stronger. “Basically” the same, with the difference being that here the sweetness is amplified, and the subtle floral and aquatic nuances of the original are missing or perhaps overwhelmed. I reach for the original over this one every time.

smhunter

Candy, too sweet, cloying. Not for me.

arefuthescroob

I'm in love with Intense! The salt plays very nicely with caramel-like amber note.

justfloral

Very similar to Olympea Aqua EDP Legere, but without candy-like orange blossom.

Comparing it with the original Olympea:
- in Olympea Intense there is no burning plastic
- vanilla/caramel - is stronger
- salty cucumbery cologney note - is stronger too.

dglightblue

Had another wearing of this, its really close to skin on me and damn it the notes and scent is right up my alley, lady million same thing yee-gads.

I'll wait rill this draught endsand see if the weather changes things.

The original olympea is noticeable but the scent isnt great on me, legend is big and lasts but I'm not in the sweet market so much at the mo, aqua is good and lasts.

These scents need layering or more balls

dglightblue

summer test, skin, twice

rubbery, the nice sort of rubber, not rubber bands, some sort of white florals and a sweet eraser, smiggle shop perhaps. this could be gardenia?? paper, fresh coconut.

this is nothing like Legend from the same line.

not baaad lasting power, not alot of throw to it, which i would like from this scent.

~i dont suit the original olympea - the salt etc goes into sweat or icky on me.
~olympea aqua suits me
~lengend is ok, im just not on the look out for another sweet one - it lasts very well though.--ball park similar feel to ~lady million empire

deentova

I think I like this perfume. I just sprayed it on me so I am not sure how it will develop. i can smell sweet vanilla and leather. the leather side of the perfume is airy and light not deep and dark. I am not sure how it will develop in terms of sillage and longevity so we will have to see in a few hours

Perfumedsecrets

An entirely different perfume from the original. This is not an intense version of that. This is warm suntan oiled skin on hot sand at the beach. A salty amber vanilla. Sexy for a summer night.

Ariella_essenzia_lux

This is Amber in its purest form. Very strong . It has woodsy vibe to it and keep in mind, it smells nothing like the original. Its a very mature scent , not my cup of tea. I have a bottle to swap , pm me if you are interested. It is 75% full.

Tt777

I expected this to be a sweeter more vanillic version of the original- to my nose it has a citrus opening and overall not as sweet as the original which I prefer- I purchased 2 minis from 2 different sellers to make sure I got the correct flanker and they both unfortunately underwhelmed me- idk why I find the original one softer and more wearable but I do- this is more like olympea sheer or olympea eau fraiche imo-

I will likely go through my minis but doubt I’ll buy a fb- considering that this only has 3 notes listed, that is a good recipe for layering:)

Vikki1985

This is quite literally the intense version of the original, I know this should be self explanatory but sometimes intense versions have slightly different notes and smell slightly different, this however is a loud and brash version of the edt and it ruins it which I actually wasnt expecting..I tend to prefer the edp versions of perfumes rather than the edts usually, for example Alien edp is my holy grail and the edt is nowhere near as beautiful as the edp just nowhere near, and I find this with most perfumes, but with this one it has just ruined the perfection of the edt in my opinion, the amber here is so so strong and harsh aswell, the edt is soft and dreamy but this one is brash and loud and the amber is completely covering up the beauty that is the edt. I find amber can be a nightmare in perfumes if not done right, I found the same with lady million, on my skin it is just all I can end up smelling. This one isn't for me, it doesn't smell horrible but the edt is so much nicer

Artemis 23

It smells like popcorn to me. Absolutely delicious and sweet!
It doesn't smell much like the original Olympea. I don't really smell the salt and vanilla combination that was so unique of the original, and what I loved the most about it. Yet this one is gorgeous and warm.
I love both versions equally, although I think the original Olympea has become a bit overused and too popular and Intense is a nice alternative if you got tired of the original.

HoneyBee1982

Why does it only list 3 notes on here? So frustrating. This beauty clearly has tons of orange blossom. Here is the full description from the Paco Rabanne website:
Salty vanilla very sexy.
Orange blossom sprinkled with pepper. White amber and ambergris touch in fusion with the skin.
Carnal at its peak.

An oriental scent with a vanilla salty-amber combination.
A magnetic duel between two intensities:
- floral pulsation: grapefruit flower, orange blossom absolute, white pepper.
- power addiction: vanilla absolute, ambergris accord, white amber, cedar heart.
Edit: I knew this smelled familiar, as it smells almost identical to LVEB Intense with the whipped cream and hazelnuts. I prefer Olympea Intense more, though.

DrRosie

This is my first fragrance from this line, I really like how sweet and intense this is. I sprayed this on my wrist and kept smelling my wrist because it is actually a very decent perfume for afternoon wear. A nice addition to my gym perfume collection.

Edit: After wearing it once, I had to get rid of it. It did not do much for me, I kept sneezing non-stop. The next day I wore it again and was sneezing again. I realized there was something in the fragrance which did not work well with my chemistry. Luckily I was able to swap it with someone, its new owner is enjoying it.
