Sour lemon marshmallows. A favourite for years

Silverbell

Marshmallow with lemon curd. LDBS could never. Perfect sweetness without being too cloying. Moderate longevity. Prefer this one over LDBS any day.

BllyDncr

Absolutely beautiful. This smells like the sweet orange blossom and sugar syrup that tops knafeh, a Moroccan dessert. The orange blossom here is so delicate, perfectly done. It literally makes my husband follow me around. It is not sickly sweet or thick like LDBS; the marshmallow note is all they share. This marshmallow is soft and fluffy. The longevity isn’t great, a few hours, but it is absolutely addicting. Simple yet simply stunning fragrance.

Noobsinth

I think this is a masterpiece because it posesses clarity, brilliance and balance. It's composed of cheap chemicals but the result is just divine! ✨

I think it's unisex leaning feminine. However, a masculine guy can pull this off easily without a quesion. I like orange blossom theme, so I would also wear this.

To me the fragrance smells of green-sour orange blossom accord and salicylates that create this alien but somehow familiar sunny beachy aura, clean white musk like an ocean of coziness and unobtrusive sweetness with benzoin undertones that give you a blast of positive emotions.

The composition is not that sugary-vanillic but quite pleasantly caramellic instead. So, there is some tiny bit of lurking darkness. The fragrance is also quite fleeting, true. But! You can use it as a morning magic potion leaving day and night for other perfumes. The performance is decent at least (4-6 hours).

It is qutie different from the Sintra by the way, which is much greener and long-lasting, less subtle and enchanting, but also handsome.

I say wear it, don't be shy! 🦄

P.S. If you love Iso E Super, go for it You won't be disappointed. I promise 😉

anduta

I am a big fan of this DNA, hence why I enjoy LDBS, Oriana, Sintra and Guimauve de Noel.
Sintra is slowly becoming my signature scent, that's why my plan is to spray Guimauve de Noel more because it is less expensive but pretty similar to Sintra.
The only problem is... it sadly does not last more than 4 hours on me and the projection is not impressive. I will be re-spraying, but I wish I didn't have to.
However, for the pricepoint it is a good choice.

daffodilsandcoffee

It has that French simplicity that some will find boring and some will find chic. For me, it's a super wearable airy, sweet orange blossom that's not cloying or artificial. I could see this performing well in the warmer months and layering nicely with lots of things.

warmcashmere

Definitely not a straight up dupe for LDBS. The strong orange blossom note is kind of where it begins and ends. If you like LDBS but find it overwhelming, this might be for you. It's definitely a more wearable, everyday scent.

esotericdecay

orange blossom icing that is sugary sweet and feels rather indulgent to wear. has an airiness to it that truly makes me want to press my nose to my pulse points while sighing blissfully. imagine an orange creamsicle but no orange popsicle just cream!!!!! Gorgeous

melleners

I don't find this very similar to other orange blossom scents in my collection. It's lighter, fresher, and more green (as others below have said). I like it, but I don't know if it'll be a love because it's fairly simple and not very rich.

09pinkrose02

I am an avid perfume collector and reviewer, and this is my favourite perfume of all time. It is so beautifully sweet and feminine, lasts for 6+ hours, and just has that addicting marshmallow smell that leaves people wanting more :) It's almost exactly the same as Parfums de Marly Oriana, but a little heavier on the citrus opening. It is not at all similar to Killian DBS, I find DBS much sweeter and heavier, and a lot more distinctive because of the caramel. This perfume on the other hand is an orange/lemon sweet opening, followed by marshmallow and vanilla goodness as it settles on your skin.

I could not recommend more. The best perfume ever!

OtherPeople'sChildren

Gorgeous sugared orange blossom scent. I guessing that’s where the Love Don’t be Shy comparison comes from. And honestly, they’re not wrong, but it’s also not a dupe. If you like that, you’ll probably like this, and it’s more than less than half the price ( I also prefer Guimauve de Noel).

I do get a little mint, which I wouldn’t think I would like, but actually makes the fragrance sparkle. This scent is perfection and I have to have it, but I do wonder how it will perform in the heat, as it is decadent in the winter.

Ferg1

This is a completely unisex scent in my opinion, just for the men wondering don't look at the votes try it. People tend to mark a fragrance leaning towards the feminine side too easily just because there is some sweetness or florals in the perfume.

BabyOliverMyFragrantica11

Love!!! It is so delicious! I like sweet but do not like too heavy, gourmand, baking sweet, this is just a fluffy sweet that I can't get enough of. I do get a slight mint on occasion, kind of there but not...I wonder if that has anything to do with the noel part of the name ( like candy cane)?
I purchased 2 testers and for sure ordering a full bottle.

hello_grn_eyes

The orange blossom is bright but soft and never too floral. The sugar note is more of a dusting of powdered sugar, aids in the gentle sweetness and a touch of powdery texture. This is the fastest I've ever put a dent in a bottle, I simply cannot get enough! I also appreciate the family nature of this house, the packaging and amount of samples sent were also stellar!

Close to Love Don’t be Shy, however Guimauve is more well rounded and not over the top tooth rotteningly sweet like Love.

karmamay

Guimauve de Noel surpasses my expectations for what 'Love Don't be Shy' by Kilian promised. Delightfully sweet with marshmallow and orange blossom notes, it effortlessly captures a breezy, easy-to-wear charm.
Undoubtedly, a signature-worthy scent in my books.

Scissorslizardspock

This is orange blossom and marshmallow fluff, with the best quality vanilla you can find. It’s a sweet gourmand, but not dense or suffocating. Even though the name means Christmas Marshmallow, it didn’t initially strike me very Christmas-like. Now that I’ve spent time more with it, I can agree with the name. I can picture wearing it around the Holidays, but also in fall and spring.

LDBS is cooler, denser, more orange blossoms. LDBS hits hard and then fades, GdN is more linear and consistent. Oriana is far more soapy, laundry like and sweet. Sintra has a green bitter note that brings to mind the tropics. They’re all marshmallow orange blossom scents, but quite nuanced in the way they wear and the occasions I’d choose to wear them. Hope that helps someone!

vermillion border

This smells the way candy cigarettes taste. Lighter, more airy than LDBS. As it wears it becomes more powdery.

MaisonTess

Different than LDBS...more green, citrusy..not as sickeningly sweet. I honestly like how it fades down, otherwise it would be just too much. Can see how this is more Christmassy than others like it.

Bluetsprincess

Straight up clone of love don't be shy

AlmondhatefulheartGirl

im not sure if its just my skin chemistry, but the opening of this is VERY harsh and spicy :( it takes nearly 30 minutes for it to calm down, but once it does its a very sweet, photorealistic marshmallow scent. kinda reminiscent of licorice or candy hearts. pepto bismol. while i love the scent, it is a little polarizing. a bit artificial smelling. truely a unisex fragrance, very sweet but not too feminine at all. i blind bought,, dont think i will buy again. not worth the price in my opinion

yes2heaven

Christmas in Florida, orange creamsicles and white flowers with bitter stems at the opening. The sugar in this is sharp, crystallized... more like the cubes you stir into a cup of English Breakfast at a nice brunch than the runny syrup that gets pumped into your Starbucks, if that makes sense. Something about this reminds me of the locker room at the swim club I went to as a little kid. Citrus air freshener mixed with vanilla bean noel body splash and a touch of chlorine, but in a nostalgic, pleasant way (I think)

AMajeedQT

Sweet Cream of White Flowers.

Ultra-sweet creamy vanilla is the opening. Then orange blossom, which smells like a jasmin-y neroli appears. And that is it. Simple but beautiful.

Sweet, creamy, vanillic, fluffy, mildly coconutty, white floral, neroli, a touch of jasmine, and slightly soapy.

If you take the original 4711 Cologne and drench it with sugar and vanilla, you would get something similar to this. Very likeable!

Unisex, cool weather wear.

"Like"

Chiimurasaki

Opens up with a blast of orange blossom, after a while sweet sugary sweetness will remain. Sweeter than PDM Oriana, but they smell the same at the opening but slightly different in dry down. This is much simpler. I love it

Ninjadria

I’ve tested LDBS and Perdizione by Nobile 1942 before and was told to try Guimauve de Noël 31. Although it is pretty and well blended, I feel like it is a stripped, simplified version of LDBS. There is something missing for me to make it interesting and worth paying the price. Also, what is up with the name? This fragrance does not give me Christmas vibes at all.

Jojo789

This is just delicious. Orange blossom, sugar, sweet. But not overpowering. It's more subtle than LDBS. I have both and don't find them to be that similar, actually. They're in the same group, but this is not as strong. It's a lovely sweet scent that just makes you smell so good to anyone who gets close to you. It doesn't fill the room or anything. I also have Sintra and if you hate the green note in Sintra, you would probably really like this.

Layana

Full bottle, I want it! It is so delicious. Lovely orange blossom blast initially. I love the vanilla dry down. It's a burnt sugary sweet vanilla. It smells like Turkish delight with incense. Love it! 🖤

iszzieanna

Opens with a sharp neroli, very green. Almost grassy and off-putting. I did not like the way this sat on my skin for the first little while. It was more reminiscent to Sintra. The orange blossom is slow to warm up. After about two hours, that’s where I can smell the sugary orange blossom-vanilla creamsicle. Hours later, I enjoy the soft, powdery orange blossom-vanilla wafts.

Unlike LDBS, this doesn’t have that heavy synthetic sugared Turkish delight note. It’s less syrupy and more naturally sweet.

AkaNeri

Softer and fluffier version of LDBS, not as loud and not as pronounced. I liked it, but if you have LDBS, this one might be not needed.

Clairexoxo

Sweet marshmallow-y orange blossom. A bit powdery. Feminine and young. Average performance: moderate/intimate sillage, lasts 6 hours on my skin.

Yes this is similar to Love Don't Be Shy (LDBS), but it is not a dupe for it, not at all!
LDBS is sweeter, has better performance, is warmer, more powdery, and has more orange blossom/marshmallow. I would argue it also smells way better than Guimauve de Noel.

Guimauve de Noel is like 60% of LDBS got diluted in a glass of Fervex (this is a medicine with a particular taste/smell) which makes it weirdly fresher. This is the only way I can describe it... not a fan

smccmurphy

Orange blossom and sugar

reginasiena

It's definetely Christmas vibe. Warm, sweet but I can't really smell the orange blossom. Vanilla is really strong. But a lovely parfume for winter ( which yes, I need to spray a lot ) agree with lemusc "it'll smell even more amazing radiating off hot skin!"

lemusc

Orange blossom, orange, and sweet, light vanilla. Good projection and lasting power, but you need to overspray a bit. Linear. Pretty and feminine but not juvenile. Essentially a daytime scent, but I think it work for going out at night as well. It's supposedly a winter perfume, but in my opinion it's more of a warm weather scent, as it's not particularly heavy. I've been wearing it this spring but mainly purchased it to wear in the summer as I think it'll smell even more amazing radiating off hot skin!

nogarisuper

A roll of Necco wafers or a box of valentines conversation hearts. I love this.

Vellocet

This actually is quite similar to LDBS in my opinion. As someone mentioned is LDBS much more syrypy, while Guimauve de Noel is rather toned down. But still - they are similar to me. They both share same notes. I love it very much! Longevity is fine, around five hours tops. Then you have to respray. I don’t know about the projection, seems quite faint and sits close to the skin. But it is very well handcrafted so I can really recommend this one instead of splurging on LDBS. This one goes for about 90 dollar and is a 50 ml. I’m confuzed by the name though, i don’t think it smells christmasy at all

melimelo87

Orange blossom and vanilla! This is a straighforward scent, what you see listed in the notes is what you get. Ideal for those who want uncomplicated, no fuss scents.
It is unisex, has a decent longevity and for the price point, I find it to full bottle worthy, also an easy reach. It can be fun to layer it or simply wear it on its own.
Great if you are looking for a signature scent, I wear it during summer and it warms up and develops beautifully on skin. I will repurchase it for sure!!

ChocoLei

Orange blossom sprinkled with sugar. It's more like a metaphor of a marshmallow than a photo-realistic marshmallow, if that makes sense. I'd qualify it as a diet gourmand--- if you compare it with popular fragrances of the same DNA, (think LDBS OG & Extreme, Sintra & Oriana), it feels less sweet.

Very pretty orange blossom though. I don't get much evolution on my skin, so not many things are going on. Perfect if you like a more minimalistic approach in perfumery.

I don't think you should only wear it in cold weather, it might actually be prettier in spring and summer. It feels too simple, too delicate for cold weather, actually.

I personally wouldn't buy it as a marshmallow perfume. It doesn't satisfy my thirst for marshmallow at all. However, if I only view this as a sweet orange blossom, it is fine. I must admit I wish it was more complex.

EmilyinJapan

I bought a sample of this only because I heard this is a dupe for love don’t be shy by Kilian but to me, this wasn’t. Someone commented that love smells like freshly shampooed hair which I also get, but Guimauve de Nöel has more spicy citrusy smell. I get why people say it’s a dupe because they are similar in a way, but was not I expected. If I didn’t know that, I would have liked this scent more.

EDIT (12/7):
Okay, I tested this today again and felt this as a cheap bath salt in Japan.
It has a hint of love don’t be shy vibe but would not be a dupe for me.

EDIT (12/13):
Because it didn’t smell good on me, I tried pretty hard to find the way to make it smell good. And finally, I found it. Layer it with soleil blanc and it will smell heavenly.

ladyarizel

I expected a more Christmas-y smell but I get a huge slap of orange blossom. I hate orange blossom note. They smell rubbery to me. I should have convinced myself not to get it when I saw orange blossom but the promise of marshmallow skin made me get a decant. I mean who doesn't want to smell like a huggable marshmallow pillow? It smell intoxicating sweet rubber. People might like that smell but not me.

mirrorghost

this starts with the most gorgeous orange blossom note. i am immediately reminded of some unknown vintage perfume...then i get hints of the sugar and vanilla. it's a bit sweet but not as cloyingly sweet as other orange blossom/vanilla combos i've tried. very pretty and this particular orange blossom note is just gorgeous.

momsRcool

Smells like cream soda or a certain brand of root beer. First time I tried it, it felt too sweet. The root beer drew me back and I am now in love. Brings levity to a fall day.

oceanorchid

I don't see how this is compared to Love don't be shy. They are like day and night, completely different. I guess the fact that they share three of the same notes can give somewhat of the same vibes, but they are not similar imo. LDBS is a bit too floral for me and there's something I can't pinpoint that I really don't like, probably the neroli. This one though, it's gorgeous and more simple in some ways. Just a shame it's so hard to get, especially where I live.

Jadeluxe

This is a close to the skin type of scent, but I find it addictive. Even though it has only 3 notes, the vanilla fragrance has a certain complexity to it. I layer with Oriana.

LanaDelSlay

Love don’t be shy but less strong

LSAUG

This smells like you took a really nice orange blossom absolute or essential oil and dumped it on marshmallows. Sickening and to sweet and not in a good way sweet. Just No.

Ceekel

This is a sweet Vanilla scent, but nit just your juvenile Vanilla, but thus has a little twist to it. I didn't see that any if the reviews mentioned it, but it has a touch of a mintyness in the backyard. Mint is not a note mentioned but I get just a hint of mint and I really like it. It has a calming affect and keeps the fragrance from turning too sweet. Nice airy fresh scent. I'll keep testing this one but so far it's really good

Salalome

Its lovely, but lacks performance.
It radiates with in arms length for 1 hour tops. Lovely soft sweet Orangblossom Vanilla. Then it ahrinks down to a skin scent. Still lovely, more TicTac than Marshmallow, but it stays at a intimit soft wisper of a scent for mabye 4 more houers and then its gone.

aweso10

orange creamsicle<33 yummmm

Tessa03

Call me crazy but to me this smells more like VC&A Orchidee Vanille than Kilian LDBS. It's nice but quite soft. Long lasting but does not project well. Just purchased this so will have to test in warmer weather to see if I get more sillage/projection. I purchased 2 bottles of this while overseas so I do have 1 bottle up for swap if you are interested and in Canada :)

silthrill

Sweet sweet gourmandy marshmallow orange blossom. If you love PDM's Oriana or Kilian's Love Don't be Shy, but you don't want to wear what everyone else is wearing, this is for you.

amyaz

Very sweet airy vanilla and orange fragrance. I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately even with 15 sprays (hair, skin, clothes) lasting power and sillage is terrible. Sure it smells similar to LDBS, but this still isn't worth the price and I'd go with LDBS because it definitely lasts longer.
If there was some sort of "extreme" version of this I'd be willing to try it.

Dimmyinthecity

This smells like if Love don't be Shy and Light blue made love in the rainforest. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ! This is full bottle worthy!

carmenandmonkey

I just get sweet orange blossom from this. Was hoping for some nice fluffy vanilla marshmallow. Having smelled ldbs, oriana, sintra, guimauve- this actually smells like oyedo to me.
Zero Christmas vibes, its more spring and summer.

upk

You can feel the shining atmosphere from the scent, which is perfect for the theme of Noel! Gorgeous and cute, vanilla and citrus are gracefully harmonized.

buster21

Disappears in the wink of an eye. Nothing remarkable here.

DJoy27

Finally got this after it being on back order-I love it so much. Gorgeous fluffy marshmallow that doesn’t try too hard. I tested this, the OG kilian LDBS, and MP Sintra next to each other and this was my personal favorite (although truthfully I like them all!). I kept getting whiffs of this throughout my day and just fell in love. It smells the least “chemically” of the 3 but lasts and lasts. Beautiful beautiful beautiful.

KayZam

Similar to Cloud by Ariana Grande. Very soft/girly scent, but could pass as unisex. I like it more than Cloud because that turned very soapy on me, de Noel sort of did this but it was more subtle and I could ignore it.

Jmarkus

Ok--this is funny. It reminds me a bit of Strawberry Shortcake dolls I used to play with in the 80s. It's as if Orange Blosson and Lemon Meringue are having a party together (with a hint of baby aspirin). And, don't get me wrong, these are all good things. I like it.

its.me.aubree

For some reason I don't get the orange blossom here. I simply get an airy sugary sweetness that seems to come and go on my skin. I wanted more orange blossom or petitgrain from this fragrance but I find I quite like the sample in spite of myself. I don't think I will get a full bottle because I've so many gourmand fragrances but this is intriguing for me. I do feel it sits rather close to the skin, but has a nice sillage as one moves about. I am testing this in our colder months, but I can see this holding its own or even transforming in the spring or summer. I'll hold onto my sample and try again then.

Chaylovesperfume

I’m in love with this fragrance. this smells exactly like a freshly cut orange sprinkled with some sugar and vanilla. It is very refreshing yet light and sweet. Just wished it last longer!

diluted paintbox

If this would be first niche floral sweet vanilla that I'd have smelled in my life, I would probably fall in love instantly. But since I've smelled a lot of fragrances this type, it smells kind of familiar and nothing special to me.

I love the quality though, the fragrance is surely sweet, but definitely not cloyingly or fruity sweet, nor it is girly. It leans more to powdery sweet imo, which is great.

Agree that it has Killian/Parfums De Marly/MFKurkdjian character in its own way. Simply said, it is cheaper version of high quality feminine fragrance.

Mademoisellejaimie

This is beautiful. Although it shares notes with Love by Kilian, it is not a dupe. Overall, it's less sweet even if the marshmallow/sugar accord is more forward than the orange blossom. The orange blossom is fresher, less amped up and artificial, because while I adore Love, I admit it can be a bit artificially sweet. This is girly and joyful. Love is sexy/seductive. It doesn't project much past the first hour but it sticks around for a while. I own Love as well as Dragées by Reminescence, and Guimauve de Noël is much closer to Dragées. It's also similar to Mandorlo di Sicilia by Acqua di Parma. Owning all of these might be a bit redundant so I don't think I'll be getting a bottle of Guimauve anytime soon.

CallMeT__

Straight away I get Love by Kilian vibes, but with an overload of Orange Blossom. But when I tested them side by side they were actually quite different. Love is much more dense, whereas this remains airy & bright possibly due to the orange blossom which balances out the sugar and vanilla. I know Guimauve Noel translates to Christmas Marshmallow but to me this is Spring goodness. All the scenarios that I picture with this fragrance involve warm weather, not Christmas. I get good performance of 6-8 hours. I also think it’s a great layering option as the composition is quite simple. The price is very reasonable for the quality, and I would recommend to those who love a sweet orange blossom or fans of Love Don’t be Shy, Sintra & co…

evarosa

I bought this because it is the first orange blossom forward fragrance I have tried that does not give me a headache. Yay!

It's sweet, vanillic, has some white musk in the drydown. Lasting power is good, 8h, and sillage too. Sold it because it just isn't my style.

The only one of the Parle Mois that I have liked.

Rosemary14

This is like so many cookie like vanilla fragrances. It’s very much like LDBS and reminds me a little of A hundred silent ways except not as complex. It’s heavy on the sweet vanilla and light on the orange blossom. It really reminds me of a very warm gooey vanilla dessert.

fanntonyoscar

There are only two fragrances in the whole world that I’m lusting after, and this is one of them. This… is… HEAVENLY. I’m so picky about fragrances, so that’s saying a lot. It reminds me of Acqua di Parma Mandorlo di Sicilia, except this has more staying power. It’s a keeper!!!

***Update*** I bought a fb and I’m sorry to say that I’m disappointed in its terrible longevity. I won’t buy this again. Perfumers apparently think they’re clever and have everyone duped with this lack of longevity with perfumes lately. They expect that will increase sales because we’ll buy more bottles, but people won’t do that… especially not at these prices. We will move on to something that has staying power because we are not dumb. I’m considering a strongly worded letter to a few of these companies because I’m sick of experiencing this, and yes, I’m that passionate about my fragrances.

LovelyLifestyle

I am very disappointed in this house overall.

This fragrance is first of all, a 95% clone of Kilian's Love don't be shy.
Second, it's watery, thin, almost like a body spray consistency and lasting power.

If you've smelled Kilian's Love, then make it a body spray with a little more orange blossom and you've got Guimauve de Noel.

Hard pass.

bovogie

Dare I say that I like this better than Kilian’s LDBS….I feel like I’m cheating on a boyfriend but yes, I like this better.

perfumesniffer

"Subtly sweet, citrusy neroli, over marshmallow"

For those who prefer natural/organic smelling fragrances and also enjoy orange blossom/petitgrain/neroli with vanilla, this is a must. Yes, there is the basic resemblance to Kilian Love don't be shy, in it's overall theme, but this isn't remotely the same. Guimauve de Noel is an extremely light and airy caress of a tangy green neroli, with dashes of subtle spice over a not-particularly sweet but fluffy marshmallow. For those used to very sweet fragrances, I would not describe this as especially sweet. It leans in the sweet direction but remains zesty and green/citrusy on me. I find this fragrance clean, refreshing and incredibly dainty. It is also quite light with almost no sillage at all. I can smell it on myself for about 2-3 hours maximum. I did purchase a FB because the scent is just so ethereal and gorgeous, I had to have it. This is what I would imagine fairies and angels to smell like. LOVE it. 10/10 for the fragrance itself; 3/10 for the sillage/longevity.

PS: wanted to share that I get nothing "Christmassy" about this scent. Must be a European (not American) association. Also, it does sweeten up in the dry down but it's never super sweet on me at all.

holocene

At first sniff Love by Kilian sprung to mind. However Guimauve de Noel is actually much better to me. I actually really like Love, but it definitely gets cloying and has something very artificial smelling about it (I think it smells like grape soda). Guimauve almost reminds of cream soda (in a good way). It’s sweet but light and still fresh smelling. I sample so much that not much makes it on the FBW list any more, but I think Guimauve may be on it, there’s something about I can’t get enough of.

dearaari

Smells like a marshmallow! What a simple yet pretty and comforting scent. Successful indeed true to its intent in conception - a childhood memory scent. The more I test it the more sentimental I feel but I can’t attach to any memory. It’s just a cozy, nice, girly fragrance. It’s rather pricey for a 50ml bottle I’ll say. AUD180 yikes! Nothing groundbreaking but if it was on sale I’d reconsider FB.

dianamay

Candied orange blossom with a creamy vanilla base, one of my signature scents has been la Temperance by Dolce and Gabbana and this reminds of that one but is definitely better and more subtle. Not as sweet as many would think and definitely not cloying. Very lovely.

Papavero0

It is an orange blossom gourmand. Because of that this perfume will be likened to others sharing this common category. However, this is not cloying sweet. Or, at least, this is not synthetic/chemical sweet. more to the point: if you are familiar with French and Italian (Neapolitan in this case because I smell pastiera napoletana) Christmas and Easter/Festivities desserts then this perfume comes as no surprise. This is the comfort scent for the holidays. Creamy custard vanilla with wintery spices (this is not a spicy scent, mind you. I am referring here to aniseed) with orange blossom water, something that for many of us is an olfactory translation of family time and celebrations.
This is not dense or syrupy, it is airy and fluffy, enveloping. Low siage.

Josie_xo

So beautiful creamy and sweet. Literally love without the musk and spice. Still a lovely scent

Polinabar

Very comforting, soft and gourmand. Similar to love by Kilian but more quite. Very pretty orange blossom perfume.

lorihollie

I got a decant of this in my fragrance subscription. I would describe this fragrance as a powdery scent with notes of marshmallow (even though it isn't listed as a note). It's like a light mixture of Prada Candy Night and Love By Kilian. You would think that the mixture sounds amazing, but truly for me its a meh. Nothing really special about it. However I'm not the biggest fan of powdery scents so perhaps I'm not the best person to ask. Get Prada Candy Night instead! It has some depth to it at least. This is linear and frankly, quite boring! Longevity is not good either.

mikecch

A comfortable and mild Christmas gourmand.

Guimauve de Nöel is relatively straight forward & linear. I smell burnt sugar, cloves, liquorice, orange flower and tonka/vanilla sweetness.

Performance is limited; Guimauve forms a close bubble of Xmassy goodness, and unfortunately doesn't hang around too long. Understated and cozy. Easy to wear, more suited to colder days.

I like this; potentially bottle worthy if you aren't already loaded with gourmands, or really like Xmas.

I get a tiny bit of spiciness here, just the proper amount. Not too much vanilla, the sugary note pops out more for me. There's a bit of smokiness in it, but not in an incense type of way, rather similar to By the Fireplace.
I get a girly but not an immature feeling from this scent. It's also not too Christmasy even if the name might suggest otherwise, as there's no cardamom nor cinnamon to be detected. Just a spicy sugar to me, an all-year-rounder.

Zenta

I just tried it for the first time. It reminds me a lot of Dolce & Gabbana The One for women, which was my favorite perfume 8 years ago.

Update: This one feels sweeter and more “lactic” than D&G the one, and not in a good way.

CNote

Uncomplicated soft sweetness, and delicious smelling, when I first smelled Guimauve at the Printemps counter in Paris I was completely obsessed and completely broke. My husband describes it as a smell "you want to keep falling into" - I had to have it. I kept the test strip near the head of my bed for an olfactory pick-me-up until 4 months later when I returned to Paris, I headed straight to purchase. Although not a true quality fragrance-- it's not very long lasting, it cost me 100€, a price I typically pay for Serge Lutens, it is a very satisfying gourmand fragrance that just makes me feel amazing when I wear/smell it. It's my favorite at the moment. There's nothing I can complain about.

Celestya

This perfume is for the gourmand lover, perfect for Christmas season. It is a very sweet, simple and cocooning scent. Simple with orange blossom, sugar and vanilla, very well balanced. 100% unisex and for all the age (kids included).
7/10 for Christmas season

Raina

I enjoy the orange blossom in the dry down of Love, Don't be Shy by Killian, so I decided to purchase a sample of this based on a suggestion.

This fragrance isn't too far off in similarity. It starts with a soapy, spicy neroli with a sweet vanilla smell. It slowly transitions to a strong caramel smell, very dark, warm and cozy. As this eases into the dry down stage, the orange blossom gentles, losing the spice and the harder soapiness from the initial application. The caramel sugar smell lightens up slightly and prevents the orange blossom from turning the fragrance into a soapy smell. It stays very comfortably in this gourmand stage. Orange blossoms coated in caramel and floating in a bowl of sugar water.

This is most likely too sweet for some, but if you enjoy fragrances like Pink Sugar, Love Don't be Shy, or L de Lolita Lempicka, this is sure to be up your alley.

The Niche Edit

Guimave de Noel is basically orange blossom water flavoured marshmallow in fragrance form yet it's a fresher take on a gourmand. The sugar note reminds me of those large white sugar crystals you find on brioche. There is a slight muskiness on my skin even though musk isn't listed as a note.

Come to think of it, this fragrance gives me 2006 Marie Antoinette vibes (directed by Sophia Coppola) and everything sweet, feminine and sweet in that film.

Peformance and sillage are decent too.

cocofluff

+ Delicious orange blossom and sugar. It's a very soft and delicate fragrance which lingers beautifully as a skin scent. I wish I got more marshmallow. Still FBW for me.

Definitely reminds me of Love by Kilian.

Drydown is soapy orange blossom with a touch of vanilla. This is my favorite from the entire line. I also enjoy Tonne de Roses and Milky Musk.

I am researching this & have NO words for what I am left with after reading these reviews. This smells like Love By Kilian, D&G Pour Femme, & Intense Cafe...ALL of these? Those smell NOTHING alike? What is going on here? I have DGPF & MIC, & have an idea in my head what Love would smell like. So now I am left wondering if this is tricky, or just untrained noses? Thoughts? I do NOT want yet another perfume that smells like Intense Cafe & I really do not see how this could.
**UPDATE~ I bought LDBS & love it. I have the other 2, as I mentioned. This perfume smells like a spray of LDBS, w/ a spray of D&G Pour Femme on it. Absolutely NOTHING like Intense Cafe. I love this! It's light tho.

Carpe Noctem

This perfume is so delicious I bought a full bottle after having a decant for months.

It's exactly what it looks like from the notes-sugary marshmallow and orange flower goodness. It's definitely not too 'flowery', I don't get any soap, and I have Kilian's 'Love, Don't Be Shy' also and they are different enough I need both.

Also, this thing has tenacity! It's still on my skin the next day, and the sillage is a few feet.

butterbean

Yummy. Sweet lightly sugared vanilla marshmallows with hints of orange blossom.

Scent sits close, light, but does last.

Somewhat similar to Reminiscence Dragee, however the Dragee is much more powdery almond and it is projects a LOT more.

Similar to Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Mandorlo di Sicilia....without the anise.

Does not smell like Guerlain Mon Precieux nor does it smell like Love By Kilian. I have both of those fragrances too.

Allisonmsmith22

Honestly smells exactly like a toned down "Love" by Kilian. I prefer this one as "Love" is just too sweet and strong for me. Plus this is far cheaper!

savvyminx

Soft, fluffy, warm, festive. Orange peel in your hot tea, powdered sugar floating in the kitchen air, an angora scarf.

craftymaya

This perfume's dry down is indeed very close to a real French guimauve: gourmand, sugary, fluffy and sweet, in a soft way. But you will need to wait about 10-15 mn to get there! I find the opening strong, harsh, a bit overwhelming to be honest... My big love still goes to Flavia Vanilla from this same Perfume House.

Now could it just be the fact I saw name before I sampled it but I reckon this perfume does a very good job of evoking Christmas vibes. Although it's through a means I wouldn't necessarily associate with the festive season, ie: Orange blossom. The custard like feel of vanilla and orange blossom's smoothness do work extremely well together and give an almost eggnog vibe. There's a hint of fruitiness at the back of Guimauve de Noel and a caramel/toffee gourmand nature throughout, and then deep into the base. I'll be honest I never thought I would be but I'm actually quite taken with this. Simple composition but executed with clarity, I'm guessing gourmand fans would like it and white floral lovers wouldn't kick it out of bed either. If Francis Kurkdjian did a gourmand, I think it would probably come out like this.

G de Noël is an excellent gourmand fragrance for wintry evenings either on a date or with your amour: it’s sweet and inviting without being sticky or cloying - however, the first 30-60 minutes can exhibit a slight 'incense' smell but this passes.

This Parle Moi de Parfum fragrance has beastly longevity and it can be smelled heavily on bedsheets for days.

On my skin I smell a somewhat forward scent of what reminds me of warm - but not toasted - marshmallows that’s really quite nice... it’s not at all what one may consider a ‘typical’ Christmassy fragrance except for conjured memories of marshmallows in hot chocolate.

OTA Mom

Seems to be misnamed? I get nothing from this scent whatsoever that would remind me of Christmas

Colongeaddict

Smells identical to Montale Intense Cafe. My wife said the same exact thing. Its a good fragrence not groundreaking though!

june7rose

A fresh and refined combo of vanilla and orange blossom. Bears no more than a passing resemblance to scent-note-sister D&G Pour Femme. Maybe FBW

Jtay

Piney citrus plus tooth-ache sweet marshmallow-y vanilla! They come in alternating wisps; more piney/citrus than sweet/vanilla! An odd fragrance, but odd in a very good way. Something about it has a poolside-in-the-tropics vibe to it! I almost could swear in one whiff I almost caught the faintest hint of chlorine - probably my imagination!

Definitely a feel-good, childhood nostalgia scent - though hard to put my finger on why.

Can easily see this on either a man or a woman, maybe even more so a man.

Unique fragrance! Nicely done! Will have to keep an eye on this company
