Extatic Eau de Toilette by Pierre Balmain is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. Extatic Eau de Toilette was launched in 2014. Extatic Eau de Toilette was created by Emilie Bevierre-Coppermann and Sonia Constant. Top notes are Litchi, Black Currant and Green Mandarin; middle notes are Turkish Rose, Magnolia and Jasmine; base notes are Musk, Ambroxan and Cedar.

Extatic was originally launched as Eau de Parfum, and a few months after that - as new Eau de Toilette version.

Both versions were created by Emilie (Bevierre) Coppermann. Eau de Toilette is fruitier interpretation that does not contain a lot of common ingredients with the original. It opens with fresh fruity accords of green mandarin, lychee and black currant. The heart includes Turkish rose essence, magnolia and airy jasmine, finishing with drydown of ambroxan, cedar and musk.

The design of the bottle and the box take on a soft pink color instead of a gold one. The campaign was shot by Karim Sadli with model Anna Selezneva. The fragrance is available as 40, 60 and 90 ml Eau de Toilette.

Fruity floral, prominent litchi, I even get some pear. Sweet and youthful. But also slightly synthethic and generic.

denparin

smells generic but pleasant, like a bubble bath. i'd say this is suitable for teenagers tbh

I used to love this perfume and wear it a lot. Lately, in the cooler months, I never reach for it, and I am quite disappointed by it. Longevity is about 4 hours I think, and then it really disappears (but it becomes super subtle by 2 hours). It's a very juicy, fresh, feminine smell and I have gotten compliments wearing it. Lately, though I have just felt like it is one of my less exciting perfumes and that it even smells a bit generic and blah. When it was more my thing I used to love that it basically made you smell like a fresh bouquet but in an energising and not overwhelming way. Maybe I will love it again in the summer?

EDIT: In the Summer (maybe from age) it is almost overwhelmingly peppery. By the time the scent starts to change into something other than fresh, slightly floral and feminine pepper it starts to disappear.

Fresh cucumbers in the opening, then light J'adore vibes, and definitely something unidentified from my youth. A very pleasant and delicate rosy citrus. Totally inoffensive, and certainly nothing new or groundbreaking. Mouth wateringly sour fruits keep this scent modern and fresh, but its performance and sillage are both frustratingly vague.

Bublegummy sweet delicate fresh n fruity rose. Very youthful and playful

This isn't a bad scent, it just smells like something I've already smelled many, many times before. I have a feeling that this type of fresh, rosy scent has always been there since I can remember... Feminine, floral, slightly green, probably will not bother anyone... It's elegant and good for every day wear, or just for those times when you don't know what perfume to wear. I don't really love the perfume, nor do I dislike it. My nose picks up this rose note immediately and doesn't really pick anything else... it's definitely not my type of scent, but if you like "shy, timid" fragrances, I think you will enjoy it.
Also, it kind of reminds me of Idole and Idole Aura by Lancome, although these two have more of a jasmine note in them.

I had Pierre Hermé's Ispahan candy a few years ago, and Extatic reminds me of it. It has a delicious sweet sour scent of candied lychee and rose.

successful blind buy. very nice fresh rose perfume, like fresh out of shower but very feminine and not citrussy, rather petal fresh. at the beginning a burst of freshness from litchi and blackcurrant, later almost entirely rose. longlasting, moderate silage.

Pleasant and light with very little projection, fruity floral with the rose and pear combo. Nice if you are looking for an inoffensive sweet skin scent but to me it seems along the lines of a weak Chloe by Chloe, but compared to Extatic Chloe has much better strength & longevity while still remaining "light".

a blind buy, really good price, created by Balmain, well I thought it’s going to be a good one but it isn’t really, it’s just a generic smell that many perfumes have. Personally, “Extatic” in golden bottle is much better.

This fragrance is light and fresh, and works well in warm climates.
Starts out with a slightly sour aroma, and then the lychee quickly presents itself along with a gentle touch of black currant. Within the hour this fades to a soapy citrus, but I don’t mind that - it still retains a zing. And after about 2 hours I keep catching wafts of mild peppery cedar. How interesting. I wonder if others have perceived this?

Sillage is not fabulous, so I enjoy wearing it around the house or on days when I run errands. Sometimes I spray some on before bedtime to feel pretty and feminine.

I’m sure this is a forgettable fragrance for most people, but I do like that fruity-sour playoff for something different. Extatic is probably better suited to a younger woman than myself (almost 50).

I don’t regret buying it.

This bottle was inexpensive, and understandably so. The fruits here are almost screamingly sour for about an hour which definitely won't suit a lot of people. As it dries, Extatic becomes softer and soapier, from what ingredient I couldn't guess. Later still it is an uninspired gentle musk. I treat this one like a body splash, something cheap to wear when sillage and performance don't really matter.

I regret buying this one..It was a blind buy, and expected a bit more of it, that`s all.

The bottle is pretty - the scent is forgettable.

It`s mainly lychee and rose, magnolia and blackcurrant, or blackcurrant leaf would be more exact. Very light, inoffensive, safe to say it was designed for the spring, maybe summer months as it is fruity. Fruity, but not the `in-your-face-berries-citrus-and-whatnot`-type of stuff, it`s gentle, not syrupy and barely sweet, fresh without any prominent citrus. Like eating lychee preserve sitting by a rose-magnolia bouquet in the garden where you have blackcurrant bushes in the background. Could make a perfect everyday or work scent in the spring-summer months. There is something synthetic there, which could be the blackcurrant; it is a note I keep away from as much as possible as it always leaves something skanky or `catpiss` on my skin..this becomes more prominent in the drydown only and is more the leaf rather than the fruit imo. This is a slight turn-off in my case, although the opening is quite nice. On the other hand this note makes the scent summery, so everyone should decide if they like blackcurrant before blind-buying this one like I did.

Wouldn`t remind me of the original Extatic edp much, yet it reminds me of any other generic light rose perfume out there; I own what I need already..The lychee adds a different touch to it, but it`s not enough to make it a dealbreaker for me unfortunately..It has good-average staying power for an edt, so no complaints in that matter.

Younger generations will defo like it, very generic and easy to wear. Not worth the price tag though, you can find better scents way cheaper if you look around (Lanvin Rumeur 2 is a great example, or Paul Smith Rose, even Pink Soda could be a good choice.) Will use this up but can`t see repurchasing it.

senalica

I prefer floral perfumes, since fruity citrus fragrances can be too sharp sometimes and gourmand perfumes tend to be either too sweet or too spicy for me. I do like rose in my perfume and some blackcurrant is usually nice to have as well, so Balmain's Extatic EDT - there is just something about it. The rose is there, but quite moderate, I can also detect some citrus notes, but not too sharp, and then there's that deep and juicy note - must be the litchi? I like it - the fragrance is fruity in the beginning, floral and slightly musky in the drydown. And although it is a floral/fruity fragrance, it seems quite grown-up and tasteful.

allumez

This was a spontaneous buy. Was about to buy Stella McCartney's Pop but got distracted by this one on my way :)
It's the cheaper option to Tresor in Love. I find it easier to wear as well, since it's more fruity and less rosy. Can totally sense the mandarin/grapefruit range.
This is a nice perfume, safe blind buy for a classy lady as well.
Transforms subtly from citrusy to fruity to musky to creamy.
Nice palette. Fantastic longevity.

nvenus

I've marked it with Like but it's really nothing I'd like to try again. A bit ordinary yet unique, but not in a positive way but still not bad - wearable.

Treslicious

Mmmm the succulent smell of lychee and roses. This is such a simple perfume. Juicy, fresh and sweet. Not the kind that would knock your socks off for being unique. But if lychee was what you love, this will not disappoint. This is the truest lychee scent I've come across. The rose is very subtle and only kicks in towards the end. I don't smell too much of other things. Maybe a hint of white floral in the background.

What I love about this perfume is how well it captures the lushness of the lychee fruit. I've come across some other lychee notes that smell synthetic. The scent fades into a clean, slightly soapy floral and lasts for a good 5 hours or so. It's bright and innocent. The pink python print on the packaging is not representative at all.

I can't stop loving this perfume, simply because it's composed mainly of two of my favorite notes in the world: lychee and rose. I adore its simple charm, but I can see how it could be boring for other people. It smells nothing like the EDP. It's not sultry, seductive or exciting. It's just LYCHEE

GinWeed

Try it before you buy it, on your own skin and see how it reacts. When I first tried smelling this on paper it was screaming stingy and tangy fruits (sour black currant and litchi). I liked it even then and thought it was delicious, but once I tried it on my skin it got even better - it was much softer, the flower notes tendered down the sour fruit and the whole perfume just turned into something very nice and pleasant. Lovely!

TakaBeata

This is the light and fruit-scent .Between Chanel Chance Tendre and Annick Goutal Pet.Cherie :)
Elegant, comfortable, pure.

MademoiselleMaya

Unfortunately this is your typical, generic and chemical "fresh" detergent smell. Screechy. A pity, because the bottle is lovely And the Extatic series deserves sth better than this chemical mess.

Arlene-Beatrix

I have to agree that it is very different from EDP which I love. I've had very high expectations for this new EDT and now I am disappointed!
Yes, it is nice and summery, but I can't smell anything more than lush litchi. One big tropical note and that is all I get.
Something here is missing.

ScarlettX

It's not similar to the EDP version. Very fruity and sweet, but the sweetness is not warm and cozy like in the EDP, more like fresh kind.
Girly, youthful and suitable for summer.
I can't look at it without having the delicious EDP in mind.
I guess it's alright, but not as good and delicious as the EDP.
I "like" it, but don't "love" it.

Dioguh

Floral-fresh-clean with a bit girly.. It's not extremely sweet, which is good. 1 spray it last over 6 hours!

the_new_esta

Wasn't sure about the opening. I'm not a huge fan of citrus... but the dry down is really lovely! Almost what I would call an alluring scent. I only sprayed it on my hand so will go in another day and do a full spritz to see how long it lasts.
