Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense by Prada is a Amber Fougere fragrance for men. Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense was launched in 2011.

Amber Pour Homme Intense is the new, reinterpreted and more intensive version of their debut male fragrance from 2006 Amber Pour Homme.Amber Pour Homme Intense defines that sophistication and masculinity of the original perfume and intensive aroma of amber with exquisite high-quality ingredients, in order to maintain the blend of tradition and modern trends that is immanent to Prada.

The oriental fougere composition highlights Italian bergamot, Somalia myrrh, Indonesian patchouli and vanilla from Madagascar as the main ingredients. Bergamot causes sparkly and fresh opening; hot and spicy resin of myrrh creates a rich and intense aroma; patchouli is attractive and seductive, while vanilla is a gentle and warm, completing the fragrance together with amber.

The bottle is designed like its predecessor: narrow and rectangular with a silver plate inscribed with the fragrances’ main notes. The new bottle is colored in intensive black, packed in an elegant gray box featuring the house logo.

Amber Pour Homme Intense is available from April 2011 in bottles of 50 and 100 ml EDP Intense and as deluxe edition with a high-tech spray of 100 ml EDP Intense.

Prada is my favourite designer house because of top level of perfumery like this. Sweet vanilla, myrrh, amber & patchouli with a gourmand chocolate drydown. Clean, soapy, spicy, masculine, sophisticated, rich and complex, very similar to the original but much darker. A beautifully blended true masterpiece, Prada at their best. The scent itself is a spicy, sweet myrrh, with various woody notes like patchouli, vetiver and sandalwood. Personally don't smell the leather. The performance is great, very long lasting, 10+ hours with decent projection. Sadly good things come to an end. Shocker, it got discontinued a while ago. If you have the chance please try it.

Towels

Gorgeous scent. Rich, deep, resinous, and slightly sweet. The myrrh is the focus of this fragrance. There is a chocolate sensation to this fragrance as well, which I find quite nice. But it does not smell like chocolate. There is a soap smell somewhere in here, but it's not the main feeling of this fragrance. The Amber Pour Homme DNA is in the background of this, but all the other notes overshadow it, which makes it a completely different fragrance. This is definitely suited for cool nights or colder days, ideally cloudy/rainy. This is a fragrance which leans to the better dressed side of things. You can wear it in casual clothing, but you may find it doesn't quite fit. Go easy on the sprays and don't spray it directly in front of you. It can be irritating if over sprayed. Projection is not huge, but the combination of notes is very intense as the name suggests. Kind of hits you hard at first. Don't let that scare you off. This is an incredibly beautiful fragrance that would work perfect in the right situations. It's gotta be one of the best from Prada.

RobbieX

Warm, smooth, spicy, amberry, classy, memorable, characterful, potent and most of all it's gorgeous.

I really love the OG Prada Amber, and although you can still smell some of it in the “Intense” version (on the far dry down at least), I just can’t get past the initial spray. It’s literally Old Spice and it reminds me so much of my old folks. If you search on the “sad face” review section for this fragrance, you’d notice they’re all pertaining to how this smells like an old person perfume and I totally agree. Patience is your friend here as the dry down is gorgeous.

Afrikano

Coming back to this again after leaving it to settle for a while and I see why people love it now. This fragrance matches the exact look of the bottle which I love. To me this just smells like very expensive dark chocolate. I think this is account of the heavy dose of patchouli, vanilla, amber and myrrh. This definitely doesn’t need a lot of sprays either or it completely takes away from the experience. 2-4 is great for this, and I’ll definitely be wearing it more on the few cool nights we have this season

Top tier fragrance, masterpiece. If your lucky enough to find it, BUY IT.

BASMAJ

Confidence in a bottle... this fragrance combines cleanliness, luxury and elegance all together ❤ big love.

heysmell

The main accords are correct,
more warm and spicy prada amber,
more dirty and less clean soapy,
a perfect duo of the original amber for daytime and this one for a night out.
Of course, for those who can appreciate such fragrances,
as they are from an era when men's perfumes were not sweet like women's.

scardina36

This is addicting to wear! I get a big hint of davidoff's zino in this but a more modern take. This does go a little powdery and barbershop-like but in a more refined way. I absolutely love this and will be purchasing a second bottle. It does lean a little more mature, definitely not a scent for high schoolers or early college people. This will work in an office or for the after hours festivities.

Invasionbg

Sometimes I am really in a old school smelling perfumes and this one has this vibe. I love it. Very high quality and long lasting+projecting 👌

Abdul.b

I can’t really describe it as a soapy scent, maybe the original is which I never tried, but this has just a a soapy facet which someone can feel in the life of the fragrance. Resinous (myrrh ) ambery patchouli, leaner scent but after it settled down the sweet patchouli ( the vanilla maybe ) becomes more prominent. Lasts for good time but the projection is strange, not loud neither fade, it’s there but doesn’t scream nor fill the room. However the scent screams class and sophistication. Winter or summer evening when the environment is controlled. Fall and spring of course.
Eager to put my nose in the OG after I had this one.

Dt_vino

Breathtaking. Extremely classy. Formal. Only downside for me is I am very limited on when I would want to wear this. This is a fragrance I would wear to a serious event. Like a funeral or something. The fragrance has a very……somber? vibe to it. It smells like the most luxurious soap you’ve ever smelled in your life with some deep, dark facets from opening to dry down. Someone said this fragrance smells “gothic”, and I can see that. Truly a very beautiful fragrance.

#443 in my "Tour de Fragrance"

My intention in purchasing this earlier in the year was to get a a stronger version of Amber. But it really has a very different character than the original EDT by this name. The elimination of citrus and the addition of patchouli has given the scent a darker overall tone more related to Tom Ford Noir EDP than to the original Amber, and I see I'm not the only one who smells it. Scents like this communicate maturity, stability, substance and experience. They are not fragrances for the club, for the young, for casual use, probably not date night with a very young woman. Very suit and tie. And not cheap suits and ties. If you want a scent that communicates that you're a serious individual, this scent does so.

Patchouli, wood and balsam dominant, not vanilla and amber dominant as is currently en vogue, but there's enough vanilla and amber to smooth it out. The projection is bystander friendly, elevator and office safe. In other words moderate at best, and the longevity is not that great. A few hours tops. For EDT longevity and sillage it's not appropriately priced IMO. So I'd get a sample before buying a bottle.

clintjr82

This use to be my No 1 fall/winter scent in the mid 2000s. This is the Dressed GQ cover photo shoot scent. Women was always all over this scent. Myrr, Saffron, Geranium and dark soap scent. This scent was blended way darker than the original. 2 different scents. Very good blend, but instant skin scent. Good blind buy for a casual/dress scent for 30 And up. Designer/ Niche.

Ferra_Verto

Original Prada Amber Homme with a darker opening of spicy and slightly smoky patchouli & myrrh, with a lovely amber undercurrent. Still has that beautifully soapy & musky feel of the original, not too heavy or stuffy.
Perfect for autumn & winter, can pull it off in the spring too.
Arms' length sillage, creates a nice cocoon around the body.

ChrisAd

Bar of a spicy soap.
Extremely fresh and clean frag. The most refreshing frag I have ever tried.
Good longevity and projection.
Worth the original price of ca.60-70usd but not the current 120+usd.

MidwestMadMan

Great barbershop scent.

Trueblood84

Prada Amber ph intense really surprised me. It's Alot darker than anything I've yet to smell from Prada. It's a very interesting twist on a soapy scent, that is dominated by one of the darkest incense notes I've yet to try so if you don't like incense or dark fragrance then this may not be for you. For me, I see this as my new go to on stormy days it's got excellent performance and it is so very dark. 8.75/10

eau_my_toilet

Just picked up a 2019 batch still available at retailers. I really like it. This is the most barbershop, barbershop scent i've ever smelled. Definitely old school. Reminds me a lot of a more palatable Tom Ford Beau de Jour, which was too astringent and old lady smelling for me. I layered this with Luna Rossa Carbon and it is amazing. Carbon seems like a modern version of this, although I wouldn't compare the two, they go seamlessly together to make a modern, unified power fougere. If Prada combined the two and sold it as Luna Rossa Intense, they would have something.

Mr. Boston

I do not find this close to Tom Ford Noir (EDP), not sure about the EDT as I have never sniffed it. This fragrance is a true designer gem, one of my favourites of all time. Beautiful, sophisticated, class in a bottle. Sweet, spicy, a little soapy.

Motti Farchi

Almost identical to Tom Ford Noir and to Guerlain Heritage! I own all three and can hardly distinguish one from the rest. EXTREMELY SIMILAR!

WizBusiness

This is soapy and leathery It's not particularly sweet, but it reminds me of root beer. I haven't smelled the original Old Spice since I was a kid, but every time I smell this it makes me think of Old Spice. It's well balanced and smells like a much better quality version of what I imagine Old Spice smells like, but the association is definitely there.

jlog23

This is a beautiful oriental fougere. The myrrh is the star player here and it's elegant. Opens with a spicy, peppery, balsamic kick. As it starts to dry down, the vanille, amber, and patchouli blend in beautifully. This has a slight powdery touch to it as well, but not too much. It has just the right amount of sweetness to prevent it becoming too dry. In my opinion this is a more mature scent, 30+. Not nearly as 'soapy' as the Prada L'homme line, but still has that 'clean' vibe. A sophisticated choice for the fall/winter.

justinmartini314

A great twist on the original. The original is one of my all-time favorites so it's going up against some tough competition but Prada did an amazing job making a nighttime version of the original which is what I see with this flanker. It's darker, more mysterious, yet just as mass pleasing as the original. Love the patchouli in this one even though patchouli isn't really a note I highly regard. This is a fragrance I can see batman wearing as it does have a little bit a of gothic tinge to it yet it is very sophisticated. Overall fantastic fragrance. 9/10

jcarolinajr

The Prada family of male fragrance is very interesting to me. They perform intimately and well suited for most occasions. I for one always use a shower gel as my base, then opt for more or less depending on where I going, the occasion, and the nature of my appearance. For example, free and out for fun is one occasion; out for lunch with a friend who has allergies is totally different and I for one would always be considerate and opt for less. That’s when just one spritz of Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense is absolutely perfect and works in any weather, any time of day or year. It’s very controllable, understated, staying close to the skin, intimate, subtle, friendly, and breaking no rules of etiquette. In short, a master stroke of genius, and loves masterpiece. How thoughtful 🧐

NOSEYBODY

I'm going to use one word to describe the scent of this beauty....GOTHIC !

matthew.wright

This juice is magical! If you get the chance, get it!

a_affan

LOVE THIS! Best amber vanilla fragrance; it's neither syrupy nor sweet. but a very cozy, clean and airy fragrance

FragMaster

Heavy yet airy, dark yet transparent, bold yet ethereal, essentially a juxtaposition of dark and light. Kudos to Prada (well, Prada’s perfumer) for managing to seamlessly merge a complex blend of deep and heavy notes with the trademark soapy/clean Prada’linade, and turn it into something quite sexy and seductive, yet upscale and sophisticated. Very much an enigmatic chameleon of a scent. Not for Alphas, but perfect for Sigmas. 5/5.

SneezingWizard

Smells spicy, powdery and ambery on my skin, but I got the sweet vanilla note when sprayed on my clothing on the dry down. Doesn't last very long on my skin somehow. I don't think everyone will like it, I didn't like it at first but I grow more and more fond of this as I wear it.

RobbieX

Pure class. A warm, smooth delicious amber and vanilla perfume. The overall smell is so memorable.
Very good longevity and sillage. In my top six ever.
It's gorgeous

Kushal

PRADA AMBER INTENSE.
A harmonious blend of Classic Old spice + TF Noir + Ysl M7 Oud Absolu !
Spicy & Airy patchouli at the top ...
Moves onto Ambery mid , even though the notes suggest Geranium i however get that very particular Dark Rose - Amber combo of TF Noir here .
Eventually settles down to a very comforting Myrrh base , very similar to the one found in YSL M7 Oud.

Stinky whiskey Buttons

Balsamic almost animalic musk and spices, soapy sandalwood guitar 2016 explains this perfectly so i will just chaim in and say this is truly well done, and high quality, i think it got discontinued because it is to expensive to make, this could have been a amouage release, this puts other designers to shame

Guitar 2016

It is an Awesome Fragrance, A Modern perfume with the shadow of classic style and well-blended composition , similar to niche High Quality scent. This is Elegant, Classy, Sophisticated and Complex. It opens up with a bit soapy zesty , warm spicy, balsamic and resin notes in the background then dry down is slightly sweet, smoky, dark green ambery , It is not strong but it is soft, smooth and clean. The Myrrh, Patchouli and Amber notes are dominant in this fragrance. The art of bottle design with the plate of notes is very wonderful. This is perfect for the fall and winter, l'm so happy that I have it in my collection, I really enjoy it and I love it. Longevity is very good, In my opinion Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense EDP is a MASTERPIECE, Highly Recommended.
Two Thumbs Up.
Bravo Prada !

Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense is a spicy, balsamic and amber fragrance.

It has a slightly fresh opening of citrus and musk, which quickly gives way to a more spicy, balsamic and amber phase, but always remains a bit clean, as Prada fragrances are. However, the best thing about this fragrance is that wood base that gives it amber, patchouli and myrrh, plus the musk gives it a slight animalic touch.

The fragrance is elegant, semi-dark, without candiness, but clean at the same time. It could be used all year except for very hot summer days.

I like this Prada fragrance, although it seems to be discontinued, although I'm not totally sure about that.

Its longevity with me has been greater than 8 hours, although it does not project much, with movement and body heat it seems to activate or at least it is more noticeable.

I don't recommend a blind purchase, but if you can found it , I recommend trying it out.

doodluv

High quality luxurious spicy warm rich amber and not much else. I don't get the tonka bean, the saffron, the bergamot etc. The first minute or so of the opening there's a very chocolatey patchouli note which I don't particularly care for, but after that initial opening minute it's spectacular.

It's almost immediately a skin scent but I think that's how this particular fragrance is supposed to be. It creates a warm fuzzy aura around you and it's very intimate, it's not meant to push out and announce itself to an entire room. Lasts a good while as well.

All in all pretty one dimensional but great at that one thing it does. Like but not a love.

Edit: After more time with this, it has quickly become one of my favourite winter fragrances ever. Smells incredible in the cold.
There's something really beautiful about it's simplicity, but at the same time it's complete and utter sexiness and quality.

Hendoob

Boy oh boy…. This is one to stock up on. Prada Amber Intense does EVERYTHING better than the original. This has become one of my absolute favorite fragrances to wear, and just to smell. It lasts hours upon hours and smells absolutely amazing. Luxurious, fancy, soapy. Dark, mysterious. I love it. There’s no words to really even describe it.

BASMAJ

Very masculine scent, lux and complex... I love how this fragrance changes in a very pleasant way ... 0% boring.

In the opening I get a high dose of amber old-style cologne/aftershave mildly sweet and very luxurious ... in the med, it's richer smooth velvety amber... in the late dry-down, it's EXTREMELY clean, amber & vanilla combo... very delicate calming, high class and gorgeous.

Prada Amber Intense opening reminds me of Obsession men (simple old-school type) during the first 20 minutes or so but It's a "next level" like an ultra-refined version, denser & higher quality compared to Obsession men (which I also love)... then it has its own thing as the name suggests "amber intense" with extra clean soapy background.

Performance? I smell the bubble around me for 60 to 90 minutes after that when I move I can still smell it for hours. it's long-lasting on the skin for 8 to 10 hours depending on how many sprays...I noticed that it projects more in warmer weather due to body heat.

Versatile? Shines more in cold weather in winter and fall... nighttime in spring ... honestly I would wear it all year round anytime!... Amber is one of my favourite notes so it's very versatile in my opinion.

Big like 10/10 🤍

Update:  Its STRONGER now, projects like crazy for at least 3 hours I'm impressed!! I was very happy and satisfied with the performance when I first bought it, but now I'm dazzled! It's like double the strength... still lasts for 8 to 10 hours but the presence in the first 5 hours is stronger, beautiful, and clean. 1000/10

Lilleham

Stunning fragrance.

Sends signals that are downright sensual. Not a huge projection but when you feel it up close, it seems to radiate warmth onto your face.

Wear it for intimate occasions or if you're the type to flirt with your entourage :-)

Afrikano

I’ll be honest, 80% of the reason I bought this was because of the bottle design. I just love the minimalistic and sleek look it has. That being said the overall smell is a lot like what people describe but I get some other nuances too. When I first smell it the opening it immediately reminds me of dark chocolate. But not synthetic chocolate, a natural pure cocoa type of chocolate similar to the ones made naturally in my home country. It then develops more into the “soapy” category but not like a fresh bright soap. More like a luxury soap you’d find at a high end hotel or spa. Clean but not overly fresh like a typical shower gel smell. I definitely see why people say this is more for dressed up occasions. I personally can’t see myself wearing this casually but to each their own. I’d prefer wearing this in the winter on a date night or a black tie event. It’s very unique and stands out. 7/10 for me

OperatorDirge

Once again, Prada proves itself as the undisputed king of soapy designer fragrances. And when I say "soap", I don't mean it in any kind of negative way at all. This is a very rich kind of soap, with depth and complexity; a cleanliness with an herbaceous and spicy vibe that is distinctly classy and masculine.

I get what others say about this having an old-school, traditional masculinity to it. I definitely pick up on the fougere aspects that give it a hint of that barbershop feel. But the amber, tonka, vanilla, and sandalwood give it enough sweetness and creaminess to provide more heft and body, if that makes sense. This isn't a straight-up aromatic. Because of that, I think this is a great cold weather scent. I wear it primarily for work, but it would be a perfect fit for formal occasions.

clebermaximo

I had so many expectations with Amber Intense. It is a good and interesting fragrance, different from the traditional Amber Pour Homme.
First impression, as it has been sprayed, is that the mix of Myrrh, patchouli and labdanum gives this feel of a boozy and resinous fragrance but not candy-sweet; in fact very controlled and slightly amber-ish sweet and some spicy cardamom vibe.
Some minutes after applying it, I can feel the soap notes some reviewers have written about, although it dissipates quickly.
I think it could have had another name because "intense" does not suit here: the traditional Amber Pour Homme has more intensity, silage and projection - so that caused me some frustration - but there is a moderate longevity on skin.
Amber Intense is very similar - I dare to say 95% - to Cartier's Le Baiser du Dragon EdP; the same boozy feel that lingers from top do drydown but Le Baiser du Dragon is a real bomb. If you like Amber Intense but would like something stronger and with more depth I really recommend Le Baiser du Dragon (which is still possible to find, although it has been discontinued).
Amber Intense is elegant, formal, and in my opinion suits everyone 30+ not because it is a mature fragrance but because is may feel a little too serious and far from what the younger crowd wants these days.
My review is based on a June 2019 batch code.

sarahherbs

This is my favorite during winter. It has a great spicy clean root beer note that’s mixed with gorgeous resins and amber. To me, it’s closer to the female version of Prada amber than the men’s versions because it’s not ultra soapy. I think it’s gender neutral.

tecfield

This is a big improvement over the EDT version. The EDT for me was just a meh but this one is quite enjoyable. Is it similar to TF Noir? Yes it's but this is much better in any way. Longevity and silage is quite average on me. And also this is quite unisex to my nose. In fact I got my older bottle from a lady. It is ambery, sweet, and vanillic but I think this is a year around office safe fragrance -- maybe skipping summer days.
And, It layers beautifully with Bvlgari Man in Black.

pixel_junkie

Blind buy to instant top 3. Addictive!!

jokcoy

This gives an old-school vibe but with a modern take on it. The smell is great, one of the best smelling amber fougere type scent. It performs well too. Around 10h on my skin and projects moderately. Kinda unique too because not many people wear it. But I heard that this performs differently on different person, so you need to test it first before you buy. This is not really my kind of frag, but this is really, really good.

Rob321x

You did not find this stuff for 40$, and if you did it’s a fake and probably why it’s not lasting so long for you. Because this fragrance lasts a while!

jmat444

@omega_garlic: Where were you able to find a tester bottle for at that price, and how recently was it?

omega_garlic

Wow, this is fantastic. It's like a mix of 75% Tom Ford Noir EDP and 25% Amouage Jubilation XXV. No fruit notes are listed except for bergamot, but there's a very juicy and pleasant sweet fruity smell that strongly reminds me of the blackberry in Jubilation XXV.

The amber, patchouli and especially myrrh give this a luxurious touch.

I got a 100ml tester for $40! Grab it while you can, definitely the best Prada fragrance for men you can currently get (if you can get it).

The only problem is longevity. It doesn't really last. As mentioned below, such a shame indeed!

Heinrich_B

This has to be one of the best smelling fragrances ever, imo. It is in the same par with terre d'hermes Dior homme intense, lidge and other designer beauties...
Very very similar with Tom Ford Noir edp the black bottle.

That beeing said....it was one of the most If not the most underperformening fragrances in my collection, and it was such a petty. I sold my bottle because the only way i could smell this after 30 minutes If i was smelling the exact area of where it was aplicated. Such a shame....

But given the fact that this works for many around here, You should give it a test.

Freshthesmell

This does give a niche vibe. An all time great too me!

euvs71

Very masculine fragrance. Smells a little old school, but also very professional, and very wearable. It reminds me of a shaving cream. I have both versions, and I love them both, but this one is a little more interesting than the original. Longevity is 12+ hours.

ARSCT

This one is a stunner. Hands down my favorite designer fragrance.

FragMaster

My initial thoughts:

A niche fragrance from a designer house, at a designer price. The only mens Prada fragrance with character and soul I know of. Only just got my hands and nose on a 100ml of this stunner, and I can't stop smelling it.

I’m not sure if the emotion and feelings this fragrance evokes is the result of intentional perfumery or an unintended random outcome, but I hope it’s the former.

Unable to articulate my full thoughts yet, but in terms of colours, it is a mix of greys, browns, blacks, purples and violets. In terms of mood, it's melancholic, nostalgic, enchanting, wistful, reflective, real, solitary, slightly eerie / ghostly, emotional, addictiv, and satisfying. In terms of music, it's HIM (Ville Valo).

One of the most addictive and captivating scents I’ve come across. It's not a fragrance, it's an experience.

Can’t wait to experience this in the fall and winter

Invasionbg

After 2 days using it can say it smells like an old school cologne mixed with modern sweet perfume. I can’t find a better way do describe the scent profile. It last more or less 12 hours on skin and project very very well. High quality from the opening till the end of the life. Very very interesting fragrance with a lot of layers. Keeps me entertained 👍

Invasionbg

I smelled this on coworker. Damn… is good….
I ordered a 100ml tester bottle for £49.99

ScentsOfWisdom

Hands down best Scent from Prada. Strong , masculine scent for a real strong confident man. Gets compliments. Rare scent , very happy to own this . I am on my 4th bottle of this. Sad to hear that its getting discontinued.

PaulieR

The classiest perfume I own. Special occasions only.

Sweetguy13

This stuff is superb. Exudes class, elegance, comfort. It is spicy, a bit sweet, a bit dark and sexy like a very expensive bar of soap. It is long lasting also, a beautiful trip.

Uppanatum

Hands down my favorite designer fragrance. The opening is powdery and clean, and the mid is where this fragrance truly shines. It is spicy, warm, slightly sweet, and extremely well balanced. The dry down comes quickly and lasts a while. It is not a projection beast, but that is due to the fact that it smells natural, not synthetic. I would give up longevity for natural beauty any day of the week, for that is what makes it so special.

Erick B Easy

I've had this and the original Prada Amber and I neglected them both for Lhomme and Lhomme Intense. My Lhomme Intense finished and before I copped another one I started using Amber Intense and damn I have gotten more compliments from this than any other Prada by far. I'm not sure why its slept on (I think it is, especially compared to Lhomme Intense). I think its miles better than Prada Amber (comes off too luxury soapy with not much else going on to me) but the Intense has some nuance some layers its clean but its not just luxury soap and yes I definitely get that root beer thing going on. Honestly its giving Lhomme Intense a good run for the money they are neck and neck for cooler weather use. I put this on and people tend to hug me lol .. outstanding 9/10

Irvdaman15$

Sweet, powdery, vanilla. I dont know why I smelled diapers at first lol but it went away eventually. Its very nice and nothing in my collection smells quite the same as this. Does have a OG barbershop vibe to it as mentioned by someone before on here. Just think it's a little more refined and made to please and last longer than the purple amber pourhomme edt. 9/10 have not tested performance quite yet, but I think should last long from what I have heard here. Night time or cold day I think works best

spartaksci

Definelty smells like TF Noir, but "dryer" and a little more powdery. This is the darkest Prada scent i've tried and i love it. No sweetness or ifs and buts about it. Myrrh, Patchouli and a leathery, woody vibe is what i mainly get here, with just a little bit of that softness that is Prada's signature. This is a "upscale bad boy" scent, where black suit, leather boots and a dangerous quiet attitude takes over instead of leather jacket, motorcycles and loud talk.
For you nerds like me who played Castlevania on the Playstation, this is what i imagine Alucard would smell like.

On my skin this projects surprisingly well, this one definetly pushes and overspraying this could be a problem. 10+ hours longevity.
Night time, rainy moods and cold weather is where this will shine. If you find this cheap like i did, you better get it, and fast before this gem is gone forever.

EDIT: Just came here to say i wore this again and the performance surprised me again. 22 hours on my skin. Will probably last weeks on clothes. Absolute legendary longevity. For those interested, my bottle is 100ml from June 2019 batch.

BatemansFragrances

A soapy chocolaty take on a barbershop shaving cream smell. Phenomenal!

SanjayHuang

I'm a huge fan of OG Prada Amber so here is the comparison with the OG.

Scent: Still soapy, with Myrrh heavily amped up. Definitely more amber and a hint of sweetness. You can think of this like what Prada did with l'homme intense and l'homme OG.
Projection: Better than OG, especially Myrrh is heavily radiated in the first few hours.
Longevity: 7hr. While I got 8hr from the OG.

Summary: while longevity is disappointing, the scent is very well blended. Still, I prefer the soapy-freshiness from the OG.

I absolutely love it’s intensity. It can cut right through a cold winter’s night like a knife. It keeps you warm as it wraps itself around you like a blanket with its myrrh, amber and patchouli.

Bigmike650

This is a nice fragrance👍🏽 Definitely more suitable for cold weather. Also, I must add that if you’re not a fan of Iris you won’t like this. This fragrance is heavy on Iris and leather

Mina Abdo

It is very unique mix. Spicy Amber and soapy at the same time.
It does not project that strong, but it will leave good silliage after you.

Mr. Boston

This is like a mix of Guerlain Heritage and Parfums de Nicolai New York. It has an old school vibe done in a modern way. The smell is amazing, I will give it that. I have received compliments with this one within the first 30 minutes of application (i.e. "you smell delicious"). The problem is the performance.I over-spray (8-10 sprays) with this one and within 2 hours it is still a skin scent. Due to its poor performance I would not purchase again, but as I say, the smell is amazing and for that reason you might want to try it - at least as a reference point. It should also work fine as a work scent due to the fact that its poor performance and longevity means it will likely not offend anyone because they won't smell it. The obvious corollary being that you won't smell it either unless you dig your nose into your wrist.

joshuabrian

Lovely old school scent. Smells really similar to Guerlain Heritage edp. Haven’t tried the edt version so I’m not sure if that’s more similar. Don’t think this would suit any guy under 30 ever.

DistinguishedGent1

Although this is rated fairly high, if this was a niche fragrance people would have said this was a masterpiece. As far as designer fragrances go this is close and to be honest I don't care who disagrees.

Prada Amber Pour Home Intense delivers in all facets of a fragrance that people would love. Prada does the best soapy scents overall, they made the intense version even better. You get this soapy vibe from the original that is balanced with a smooth, spicy, smokey myrrh and a semi sweetness from the vanilla. It's a vanilla sweet, not a gourmand sweet if you get what I'm saying. Very mature and versatile. In the heat, yes. In the cold, yes. At night or day, yes. It's elegant and mysterious and priced well.

If this were bottled in a Dior Privee bottle or a Guerlain bottle this would be more sought after. This is a gem and a fantastic release from Prada. Worth a sample in my eyes.

lostsoul007

Although this may come off as a more mature scent I don’t find this to be dated smelling, at all. I believe any man over the age of 25 can wear this confidently. The amber and myrrh show up right from the start and there is a slightly clean and soapy barbershop vibe mixed in here, but for the most part this is a pretty dark and resinous, stylish scent.

Opening spray you’re hit with the bergamot and geranium with orange blossom looming in the background. As it dries I pick up on some leather and a slight pine. The saffron is pretty well hidden, similar to what you’ll find in Dylan Blue, most likely working with the labdanum to give it the leatheriness and silky texture. I’m assuming the orange blossom is working with the tonka bean and vanilla to give it a smooth creaminess. The patchouli is semi-sweet and earthy with hints of dark chocolate, while sandalwood and vetiver give it a woodsy backbone.

Performance is excellent, strong projection for the first 90 minutes then becomes a strong skin scent for another 7 hours or so. Along with Tom Ford Noir EDP, I’m also finding this has similarities to Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Extreme and PDM Habdan. Fantastic fragrance, here.

jturner333

I recently purchased this one because the original Amber Pour Homme is quite possibly one of my FAVORITE scent profiles of anything I own. This one is a like for me. The initial opening hits you with an earthy, almost chocolatey vibe reminiscent of Guerlain's L'Instant Pour Homme. Then after about 30min to an hour you get slight hints of the original DNA but with some added sweetness where as the original is more dry and powdery. Longevity seems great (I can still smell it after about 6hrs) as is the sillage. I still prefer the original's DNA over this but this is still a lovely profile nonetheless.

willnpc40

I bought this after watching some Youtube videos. I LOVE Prada L'Homme OG and the Intense. But this one, is not great IMO. I am 47 and I guess I am not ready for a "mature" cologne. This smells like something my Dad might have worn 20 years ago. And it does not last long at all. Did I get a bad bottle? It was 93161 BATCH 2019.

3/10 - Buy a sample first

Ford4630

Unique scent, very classy and masculine with a slightly old-skool vibe. Forget your jeans and t-shirt, this one demands a bit more respect and effort in your personal appearance. Wear it with a well-fitted suit and you will definitely smell like the boss. Prepare to stand out from the crowd…

ana.zaazoo

it is very difficilt to change tht polite guy (amber pour pour homme) to that sexy mysterious classy dracula (intense) one of the best ever.i am not putting it in my favorite coz it is too good to be true

sea2sky

This fragrance has lots of character. I only wish it lasted longer. Almost done with a 100ml bottle, and considering to re-purchase.

Tracer1203

OK...This has given me so much to say.

I like it a lot.

It creates so much interest and confusion in me.
read on and I hope you understand what I mean.

It takes me to two very different and unrelated places.

First place...

The opening, I'm at the air port making a long leisurely walk from the car park to the terminal. I get a massive aviation fuel scent from this. but only during the first 5 minutes.

Now this is where the confusion begins, and it makes perfect sense.

I love the smell of aviation fuel...

But.....

There is one another famous fragrance known for its gasoline scent....can you name it?

I absolutely F@#*ING LOATH that one.
yes. Dior Fahrenheit. that's the one

But these seem quite similar.

So why do I like this so much?

Maybe flying a plane is way cooler than driving a car?

Or driving a performance car that runs on aviation fuel is better still.

and aviation fuel does smell different from gasoline.

Maybe that's it. Fahrenheit is a big old, loud, obnoxious, stinky, 1980's V8.. and this a contemporary streamlined, low-profile aerodynamic twin turbo running av-gas.

Comparing the notes, there are a lot (8 to be exact) that are shared between this and Dior Fahrenheit. So I understand why I get the similarities.

But I like this much much much more. It is very different but similar.

I feel this projects the same masculinity but in a more refined way... quietly confident rather than brash and obnoxious.

While Fahrenheit is showing everyone in the room that he is Alpha male,
Prada Amber Intense is already in the car, on his way home with the girl.

The differences I get are bursts of powder and soapiness.
and an underlying sweetness, some floral and some incense.
and I don't generally like incense.. it reminds me of cheap $2 hippie shops.

But I like this

told you I was confused

NOW.....

The second place.

and this not confusing at all. This is exactly where I'm taken when thinking of the perfect time to wear this.

In classic bedroom of on old mansion. The kind that is decked out in polished dark wood and black leather trimmings. Classic art hanging on the walls, a huge walnut wood framed bed with a massive head board and foot board. Giant lofty pillows and duvet. all covered in white Egyptian cotton, the lights are dimmed. I am out of the shower and wearing just a light spray of Prada amber intense. Now she knows, when I wear this, It means only one thing....

the sexual tension rises instantly..

It's going to be a deeply intimate... sensual... intense... hot... long... night.

RobbieX

Update*** This is so classy, dark, smooth and deep. In my top 6

TriggerHappyscent

The opening on this one is very good. the dry down is good but doesn't last long in my opinion.

9/10

Marxwick

The dry-down combination of the Myrrh, Patchouli, and Vanilla results in a smooth, pleasant, and posh scent.
The mid reminds me of the old Guerlain L'instant EDT's dry-down.
This does not project a lot, so I have not gone nose blind to it, and I have enjoyed it at every turn.

Djedi

I also get the oldschool patchouli opening for a brief moment. This one is obviously darker and more resinous. There is an almost chocolate like feel to the scent which is blended very nicely against the darker tones, but even though the soapy accords in here are rather faint compared to the original, there is still some of that soapy quality in the back which works very well together. Some say this one is more suited for evening wear but this can be perfectly worn during the day as well. It's not too dense or oriental for evening wear only. All in all a great addition to the original.

8/10

jellisunc

Opening is a callback to 80s barbershop, but the dry down is all spicy resins and amber. This is phenomenal!

Performance is great, but stays close to skin (just how I like it).

People calling this soapy, I dont think I agree. Maybe more shaving cream than soap in the opening, but the dry down is warm spicy gentleman big time!

BatemansFragrances

This is so old school and different compared to the original, especially the first 30 minutes. It smells like an old school 80s fougere shaving cream scent ( the patchouli in Eau Sauvage, Kouros, Antaeus, beau de jour etc.. )

Then it starts reminding you of the original BUT without the bright summery freshness + a big chocolaty/myrrh combo. Too bad it's hard to find in 50ml. I need that to match my Prada amber.

Shoaga

Loving this fragrance today. Keeps me fresh throughout the day like a great bar of soap. Makes me feel very confident. Sprayed on at 630am, still present and fresh 11.5 hours later. Highly recommended fir office wear.

You may cringe, but I have found that 20 sprays is ideal to get the greatest enjoyment out of this one. Even with that many it’s not a massive projector that might make you feel uncomfortable, nor does it ever get cloying. I just enjoy that beautiful dark myrrh smell at the beginning and want it to last as long as possible. Try it, you may gain a newfound enjoyment of this scent.

Gsidedgdb

Smells like the most high end shaving foam money can buy in the best way possible. Very solid like for me.

subterraneanman

Not sure if i got the right perfume. Smells like heavy indian spices to me. Definitely did not enjoy it

mustination

After finishing a 5ML sample...
A soapy dark fragrance with beautiful myrrh. it's nice, has an up-class hotel type of vibe. Also, I find it to be a soulless, cold and, uninviting type of a scent. Not a fan...

Scent:6/10
Projection:7.5 ( It's good, projects great for 2 hours then soft projection for 2 hours. Lastly, 1-hour skin scent.)
Longevity: 8

landshark321

This is my first wearing and successful blind buy of Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense, the 2011 flanker to the original 2006 Prada Amber Pour Homme, which I only just tried for the first time last week and loved, and Intense is similarly very nice. Whereas the original is more of a soapy fresh amber, Intense is slightly spicier, albeit still fresh, but less soapy.

Intense’s note listing is relatively straightforward: bergamot, myrrh, vanilla, patchouli, amber. I frankly get a bit of the champagne fresh spicy cologne vibe of YSL Rive Gauche with some of the darkness of Armani Attitude, and I sense some lavender without it being there, though perhaps I’m just smelling the bergamot and patchouli. Like the original, it’s not an amber fragrance in the sense that it’s especially sweet or thick or animalic, but has an amber base with some other additives. Intense has a good balance of resins quirks—namely, some spice and some smoke—with just a hint of sweetness, to complement the fresh and green vibe of the bergamot and patchouli.

Like the original, Intense is very reasonably priced on the secondary market, about $65 for 100ml on FragranceNet, and it performs decently well, though the original perhaps performs better, despite the greater concentration of Intense (EDP, to the original’s EDT).

Overall, I’d say that I prefer the original but enjoy the Intense as a darker, slightly spicier variation.

You'll smell like a beautiful clean bar of soap with a hint of sweetness almost coca cola like smell!

MasterP

I haven't smelled something from Prada that I do not like yet. Interested in some of their higher end offerings.

MagicalChild

: This. Is. Freaking. Sweet.

'Freaking' here refers to an unusual, rather creepy darkness after it shaking your hand sweetly, gentleman style. Unnoticeably, this impression melts into a monstrosity in some abstract form when looked away. If only you just looked a bit longer to his smile, would you not have death written all over you by now.
So doesn't this sound familiar to his younger brother Narciso Rodriguez for Him? Yes they are family indeed, but whereas he confronts others with an inevitable, natural occurrence of death, PAPHI jumpscares you in a jolly way after disarming you. And like a jumpscare, it project's greatly but is lived very shortly.

Pennywise, Jigsaw, and Earl Brooks are wearing this.

Opaulino22

It smell pretty good, nothing crazy or wow for me. I wouldn’t recommend blind buying. I’ll easily preffer l’homme intense & luna rossa black over this. 7/10

clintjr82

A classic amazing scent. Very Rich. Too bad it doesn't last for an EDP. The positive for a skin scent, its good for close encounters, intimate, dates and sex. I saw the comparisons a way better blend/scent than Tom Fords' Noir

I have never liked TF Noir EDP, it was too much powdery and dusty, very dark fragrance... and I see a little bit of similarity to Prada Amber Intense. My favorite fragrance ever is Gucci Envy for Men and Oh boy... Prada has the same sexy smell as Gucci. I don't mean they smell exactly the same, they're in the same olfactory family, but they are not the same, they share some notes and guess what ? The same perfumer - Daniela Roche Andrier. The smell I so beautiful, dark, oriental, myrrh, patchouli, vanilla. I am so happy that I had chance to smell it and buy it.

mo choudhury

just got this through the post today. I wanna say a big thank you to Prada for this. what a life saver.
even though this one was released before TF noir. Tom Ford Noir EDP is one of my all time favourite but wasn't cheap by any means.
I bring it out on special occasions.
chuffed to bits with this one and to top it off 30£ for a 50ml, can't really go wrong.
I'm guessing I'll be even more chuffed when Habit Rouge comes through.

2012 batch.

I think I might just have to get another bottle.

You can definitely smell the original Amber pour Homme in here, but a lush, dense richness has been added to tone down the super soapy vibe. Don't get me wrong though, this is still super clean. Any rough, spicy, or earthy edges that notes like patchouli and saffron would add have been polished down so that you are left with a sleek, but still sumptuous scent.

Amber Pour Homme Intense does have a dark, mysterious vibe. I think it is perfect for the night time, but with that original soapy base just under the surface, you could wear it anytime. Like most offerings from Prada, this has a luxe quality about it, but still uncomplicated enough to wear in any situation. Love this stuff.

jarno1208

I like it. It is rich and dark. Great for winter and evening wear. Slightly old school, but not too much or in a bad way. Amber and Myrrh are the main notes to me.

Ottersideoflife

Sexy, dark, ambery myrrh. That's what most of these reviews say, and I agree. Very classy, rich, and one of those rare 'intense' frags that actually is intense.

However, don't see many talking about the level of rose geranium. It's too much for what's going on here, and for me steers it straight past unisex into the feminine. Or on second thought, it's like this weird clash where you've got a highly masculine and a highly feminine fragrance layered on top of each other, not harmonizing, just superimposed. I can't quite get my head around it. Baby powder and church incense. It's kind of creeping me out a little bit.

smellsbells

had this and liked its mellowness but its very weak on me and a skin scent-like varvatos scents. The prada amber lasts longer on me-go figure

Andy the Frenchy

Earthy patchouli and cardamom with a hint of sweet freshness (mandarin?) in the top. Vetiver, neroli and amber (aka resinous vanilla) combination in the base. That is what I get.

Some will describe the vanilla as myrrh, sandlawood, or amber... to each his own. The pyramid on the bottle gives bergamot, myrrh, patchouli and vanilla, while the pyramid on Prada' website gives cardamom, mandarin and bergamot, geranium, vetiver, neroli, labdanum, patchouli, tonka bean and vanilla. Not sure where Fragrantica took the leather, musk, and sandalwood from, but to my nose, the pyramid of the website is the most accurate.
Some similarities with TF Noir EdP and Guerlain HR EdP, but none with Dior ESP.

I love both Noir and HR, so I can only appreciate this one, but I have to disclose that I remembered a better performance, and more richness from when I tested it. Indeed, on my skin, it's below average, and falls into a skin scent quite quickly, inspite of a good amount sprayed. Definitely a mainstream-quality fragrance, as opoosed to what I remember.
A like, that will fall into just ok because of poor performance. Might fit the bill if you can get a large bottle around $50, but otherwise I'd recommend Habit Rouge EdP any day over this one - assuming one likes an extra drop of rose.

It's starting to grow on me

Capra555

I wore this today for the first time and I found myself trying to escape it all day. The longevity is great, but the scent is too acrid for me. I have grown to really love Prada Amber Pour Homme. And, I see how this is a legit flanker of it because there is a mirage of the original underneath it all. But, the direction this fragrance takes is exactly the opposite of what I like best about the original. The original is so clean; I truly don't think it could offend anyone. But, I can easily see the Intense version turning people off. I know that inoffensiveness is not the be-all-end-all of a fragrance. I have plenty of fragrances that I only wear when I am not going to be around a lot of people--I love them, but I can see that some wouldn't. Personally, I just don't like this one. But, kudos to Prada for making creative, daring, and long-lasting fragrances.

bolancb

This right here is exceptional fragrance the Best from Prada hands down! Delicious dark sexyness powdered Magic potion. Don't sleep on this Woman find it addictive and sexy trust me!

NikosChatzime

Back in 2012, going back home from Paris, a nice lady in the airport DUTY FREE told me to try this perfume.

It was pure love with the first spray...

The Myrrh is so seductive and sexy. The vanilla with the tonka pushing strong from the base, giving a smoky creamy feeling from the mid to the drydown, while the amber is there from the very beginning to the end.

The performance is very good, with the projection being "Prada-ish"(about 2-3 feet)

This is a signature fall and winter fragrance. Blind buy worthy! Best money ever spent on airport ;)

RobbieX

To add. This is, as someone said, delicious. dark and beautiful.

dreyfoose

For some reason this fragrance has been jacked up in price all across online stores. WHY?
It's NOT discontinued, you can easily verify this on Prada's official site. Prices are out of control.

JosefR

Smells delicious, too bad it's so weak I have to stick my nose in it to smell it.

micavana

A very interesting Amber. It is soapy clean and a bit powdery with an underlying dirty resinous note. This sets it apart from a lot of amber scents on the market.

I get moderate projection, but good longevity on my skin. This works well in either casual or a sports coat.

This one is worth a sample.

Harveyyy28

My favourite perfume from Prada. This is one of those that I cannot get enough of!
It’s sexy but not too dark, and has a lovely ambery-myrrh smell that is somewhat sweet.
Last forever on me and worth every penny. Buy a bottle and you will not regret it!

Aouldfactory

Resinous, balsamic , patchouli "Yum-Drop"! Snuggle into this on a spring evening and well, summer can wait, at least a good eight hours! If this isn't in your fragrance stable, you're missing a true gem!

OntheMark

Clean, slightly soapy and surprisingly wearable. Unlike the vast majority of amber-forward fragrances (which this mostly is), I don't find this one overbearing or cloying in any way - but just balanced and enjoyable to wear. It's hard to put a finger on exactly what this brings to mind, but for me it lives somewhere at the intersection of an upscale boozy cola drink, a medieval monastery (replete with wooden beams and resinous incense) and an otherworldly spice cabinet that's been inexplicably soaked in Johnson's Baby Shampoo. Everything fits nicely and there are no jagged edges or discordant notes. It's no wonder Amber PH Intense rates as highly as it does.

Good but not explosive reach, but a little goes a long way. Longevity is very impressive, with just two sprays lasting me an entire day (12h or more).

This one took me some time to come around to, but now that I have, I will not be without a bottle of it. It's "handsome" in a bottle.

EDIT: Very similar balsamic/incense vibe to Nuit d'Issey Noir Argent, another favorite.

EauDeBaldy

Trying this on right now and after letting it settle for a few hours, the smell comes off to me as such a dad fragrance.

I don't mean that as a negative per say, just that it fits best for the mature crowd. I'd say 50+

It's nice, spicy. pleasant and a good office type of fragrance in the colder ( Winter ) times.

I'm going to be wearing this for the rest of the week but, I don't see my view changing.

A pass for me, but great if you like the more mature, gentleman's fragrances.

Spinning@backick

This is the perfect scents for someone who has a reserved personality, a man which
is calm and emotionally stable.

Those who dont need dont a loud or attention grabing fragrance, because they know that they are having certain quality in their life and people respected him because of all of his achievement.

They didnt need to rush everything in life, they take their time. "Qualities over quantities",they said.

RobbieX

A dark, rich, sweet and complex powerhouse with spadeloads of character. Lasts ages as befitting a proper EDP. The silage is attention grabbing. The dry down goes sort of boozy and chocolaty. A definite grower and a lovely perfume.

SMAinHK

What a gem, deep, rich, warm, intense captures the nose like an exotic dancer would catch your attention.

naipe

This is my third round with Amber Intense and I must admit it's always a pleasure to come back to it. I cannot use it for a long time because I get tired of it quite quickly but I do with most of my fragrances so I dont care, I fully enjoy each of my new starts... it's so comforting, classy and versatile that I simply cannot dispense with it.

Maybe its versatility is the feature I most appreciate on it, you can wear it almost everytime everywhere so it's a great fragrance to carry on a travel.

It is also perfectly blended, every note is under control, it's like a choir, a symphony that combines deep, dense notes that provide a noticeable presence without an inch of stridency with others more casual, fresh and vivid that give a cool and informal finish. The result is warm, ambery and indeed intense but incredibly effortless and cool as well.

If there is a galaxy apart halfway between designer colognes and niche potions for sure Prada Amber Intense is one of its brighter stars.

freakysheiky

Amber and patchouli heaven on earth. Sultry, dense, deep, rich , warm, amber. It is an alluring scent that will have a lover's nose buried into the wearer's neckline repeatedly drawing in deep inhalations. It is the scent for the movie 9 1/2 Weeks and Last Tango in Paris.

Or maybe it is my one and only ever lead role opposite Monica Belluci in a parallel universe's production of Malena.

It is the scent for the one magical time in your life you were blessed with an experience of sensual, erotic bliss with an unknown, unforgettable one time only lover. It is the scent of that time you can never relive but will relentlessly chase in your daydreams.

You will spray some on your pillow at night praying to be taken to a dream where you can hold her, smell her again in an embrace with deep, prolonged breaths.

Ahem, long story short....I highly recommend this one...man or woman.

Vapor Trail

This doesn't have much to do with the original Amber Pour Homme...or does it?

It's dark and assertive from the start. I agree with those who cite a "barbershop" feel, though this is far from the green, soapy fougere style normally associated with that term. Intense is HEAVY on the patchouli and can be overwhelming if oversprayed.

As it dries down, though, the mrryh and vanilla smooth things out considerably. This is Prada we're talking about, so classy is a given! It just goes about it differently than most of the house's fragrances: dark, mysterious, seductive (maybe), all in the most gentlemanly way.

That's how it circles back around to the original. Both achieve the same effect: a distinguished, mature, confident fragrance. Amber Pour Homme by day; Amber Pour Homme Intense by night.

Very, very well done.

ivadim

Един от най-добрите мъжки аромати! Не бих го нарекла фланкър на Prada amber homme, много са различни. Прекрасен.

Aventus24

This fragrance is the polar opposite from Amber Homme. While Amber Home welcomes you with a soapy scent, Amber Intense is bold and decisive. I would consider this fragrance the cousin of Sauvage, while they’re not exactly the same, Amber Intense is definitely worth looking into.

This fragrance should be worn during Fall/Winter and at night.

Vmaster

A few years ago I had tried Amber Pour Homme. I enjoy soapy, balsamic and powdery fragrances, but Amber Pour Homme was a soapy, balsamic and powdery mess. It went back to Sephora.

I decided to give Prada another chance with Amber Pour Homme Intense due to the reviews, and I love it. This is how Amber Pour Homme should have smelled. I wore this to work today, and received an unsolicited compliment from a co-worker after I walked by. Very good projection and sillage in motion.

Amber Pour Homme Intense can be worn for any occasion, and would be best worn during the Spring, Autumn and Winter months, as well as cool Summer evenings.

Whether you loved or hated Amber Pour Homme, give this one a try as it is a huge step up, as well as being one of those instances where the flanker is much better than the original.

Oh wow, this stuff's the bomb! I'm a huge fan of Amber Pour Homme. And this just amps up all the good things I like about the EDT.

Yes, it's in the same zone as Tom Ford Noir, they have a fair bit in common. But this one's much drier and airier - there's plenty of treble in the mix if you'll permit an audio analogy. Noir definitely has some lush depth to it - more bass in the mix if you will. On me, Amber Pour Homme Intense has better performance.

So if I could only keep one of these two on my shelf, I'd hang on to the Prada fragrance for sure.

Also, I reckon this comes in one of the best looking bottles in my collection, it's so stylish.

Bravo Prada.

mmmmgood

If Midnight in Paris and Tom Ford/ Noir, had a baby...

I dont really understand the comparison to TF/Noir..sorry. On one hand, I do, a little bit. They're both dark, mysterious, dense, HEAVY scents with a great deal of musk, patch and amber. But Noir, has a TON of civet/musk in it. I mean, its so apparent, you cant help but realize that Prada's scent doesnt have ANYTHING that remotely smells like civet.

Its the note that sets the two apart. I mean, I actually purchased and wore, Noir, simply because I LOVE civet. I didnt purchase Amber PH Intense, because it sorta smelled like it had civet in it. I bought this particular fragrance, because second to civet, myrrh is my favorite note. And Intense, has a lot of it. Its essentially a myrrh-centric perfume. And its sweet and heavy and tangy (patchouli), where Noir isnt sweet to me, at all. Its musky, powdery. And the iris is a lot more dominant than folks tend to believe. There's a chalkiness in Noir, that you dont have in Intense.

Silkworth

This intriguing bottle arrived today. Beautiful, amazing and mysterious. Myrrh, Amber and patchouli feels dark.

what wait, masculine floral note? Clean leathery bergamot? What's going on here? Something wonderful but confusing to me

A modern scent with a nod to the great classics of yesterday. It's for someone of a certain age.

That's it, it makes me think of Antaeus with out the castoreum.

1st impression - This is a great cold weather addition. Will be in my rotation up here on the frozen tundra.

Clownboy

A gorgeous fragrance.

Starts off kind of meh, but quickly dries down to release wave after wave of a rich and creamy vanilla and myrrh.

Just sublime.

Wearable in pretty much every situation and a crowd pleaser too.

My go to scent at the minute.

I have a bottle from 2010 .I like the drydown .the vanilla better than 212 men sexy and Le male

Thomaso7

this smells like a dark sorceress fragrance, but it does not smell feminine, i mean, it does smell masculine. what i like is its rich amber patchouli and dark character.

SocialAssassin

One of the best Designer scents in the market. This is class, sophistication, old school, and clean. The myrrh is top notch and blends really well with the patchouli, amber and leather. As it transitions to the base it smooth-ens out with sandalwood and tonka. Absolutely fantastic. A modern take on the fougere genre with a touch of oriental notes. I feel there is incense in this as well. This is for mature men successful men, no millennial's need apply.

Stay away kids.

Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense

Flanker (but much better than the original IMO), Myrrh, Patchouli and Amber are very well managed here.

It's true, it has a slight soapy old school vibe, but it has a Prada classy modern print too.

Correct performance: sillage is moderate but longivity is good. You can smell it on your skin all day long.

How to use this one:

1- Don't listen to negative comments (sorry for haters, question of taste)
2- Better in cold days / nights, any occasion anywhere.
3- Enjoy

Peace

a clean black t-shirt. that's how i can describe prada amber ph intense. u can find the dna of the original prada amber ph mixed with few drops of eau sauvage parfum(maybe for the myrrh). the composition is well crafted and balanced, the notes i detect more are patchuli, myrrh, iris, amber and vanilla. so it's clean, soapy with quality with something interesting and dark. maybe it doesnt have the "wow factor", for many people it just smells good, but for me it's a great fragrance with its own personality. i think it can be used in any season but summer, for office and nightout, casual and formal situations. performance is good, not amazing but not weak. im very happy to have it. ottimo prodotto da parte di prada.

Will describe my impression without considering the notes breakdown above.

Very comforting perfume. I can smell a combination of patchouli, amber, iris, white musk and incense.

It's doesn't develop much and it has moderate projection.

I like it but don't love it.

60nice

I initially fell in love with Tom Ford Noir then read that amber intense is very close so in a leap of faith I blind bought it and boy was I happy that I did! very sophisticated and mysterious dark scent for the man who's up to no good, it's a blast of myrrh and patchouli that takes an oriental to the next level, great performance best left for winter nights.

Shawnnick

Rich, deep and beautiful. Absolutely phenomenal scent. Projecting strongly, unlike some i love the opening it has that barbershop vibe but with an upscale feel.

10/10, instant fave

clintjr82

This is a awesome balsamic scent, forget what the haters say. Deep, mysterious and sophisticated, for a designer scent. This is the more concentrated version of the original thats why it smell so much more spicy in your face. Its not the soapy smell of the original. It depends on you, either your into oriental spicy or not.

Ali AD

I was extremely disappointed when I first got this perfume.

After blind buying this a couple of months ago and spraying it on my wrists for a test run, my reaction was immediate...boring, generic, over hyped, etc etc. I immediately posted an unflattering review here, placed the bottle in the back of my collection and counted my loss.

For no reason whatsoever, I decided to give it another shot and wore this to work today. I wanted to kick myself for being so fast in my judgment! This juice is stunning!

Elegant, refined, calming...A true gentleman's perfume. The scent is a combination of TF Noir, Habit Rouge and Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum 2012.

JPP001

Barber soap - that is all I can smell. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the scent, but I have to be in the mood for it.

mardabo

A couple squirts on the back of my hand and up wafts the wonderful fragrance of Giorgio Beverly Hills for Men. Lovely.

Instantly this becomes sharp and unrecognizable.

After the dry down it softens into something a bit

powdery that I REALLY WOULD PREFER TO BE . . .

Giorgio Beverly Hills for Men.

Anteatereatingant

This is...not at all what I expected it to be, both based on the name and the notes here. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, though.

For one, this is very distinct. I would have a hard time confusing it with any other fragrance. This is a heady, intoxicating, sweet fragrance with a certain darkness or 'murkiness' to it. Earthiness, too. It's hard to describe!

The opening smells like bubblegum, dried fruits or Coca Cola to me - anyone else have this experience ? Perhaps it's the myrrh + patchouli + vanilla combo, who knows. It's syrupy and almost a bit fizzy. Then it gradually gets more vanilla and amber in, and becomes a smokey, woodsy, slightly leathery sweet vanilla with a distinct dried fruit/Cola backdrop. Very different and very intriguing.

I'm still trying to decide whether I 'like' it or it just 'intrigues' me thanks to its novelty, but the performance is definitely solid. Above average longevity and fairly strong projection.

EDIT: A few weeks and several tries later, I've decided I really like this. Maybe not quite 'love', but it's definitely head and shoulders above most fragrances I've tried in a long time - so distinct, elegant and potent. Would probably be a 'love' for anyone who enjoys avant garde scents and/or amber scents that are somehow fizzy and peppy instead of 'heavy'.

SNOOPY

I wear this juice just for me.Something in it and its sibling just calm me down.
Its very relaxing.A bit harsh when first applied but quickly gets perfect.
Lasts all day,no longevity issue here.
I like the art deco bottle too.
The notes are well blended but i get mostly patchouli and vanilla with a little dry myrrh.
I like the earlier Prada fragrances more than the recent offerings.

Louismanuel

This one has nothing to do with the original Prada Amber which is one of the best soapy fragrances and preferable for Summer and Spring.
This intense version to me is a modern take on Chanel Antaeus, a beast mode from the early 80ties. Even without the Castoreum or any other animalic note, it comes quite close in the sence of acid.
Very good Fall Winter fragrance for me. Performance is also quite good.

SomeStubble

look. ive owned both original prada amber which smelled great like a fresh soapy rain......i dropped it running to a bus years ago so mad......so i bought the intense version.........oh man this is MUCH BETTER.....patchouli and myrrh....dark...sensual....alluring.....mysterious.........i own midnight in paris edp......i own vintage armani black code....and vintage la nuit de l'homme, and dior homme intense........but this one from prada......IS A SLEEPER HEAVY HITTER IN OUR COMMUNITY...this one should be getting more attention.....the intial blast may have very strong intense opening but it is a sexy man beast scent. up there with the top designer scents of the last 7 years. for real.

Atelier_man

One of the very best, a bit old school in terms of age but without doubt one of the greatest fragrances I hsve ever smelt

Prada - you should be proud of yourself as this is class

sandroscent

On my skin, on the drydown I get a patchouli vibe that reminds me of LIDGE slightly. Kinda like a chocolatey patchouli..none the less I think it is a great fragrance!

Anybody else notice that? hope I'm not crazy or that my bottle went bad!

Mitchsmellsreallygood

My oh my, where do I start with a review of such a masterpiece? How about this--One of the best designer fragrances to have EVER appeared on the market.
This is truly a hallmark of a fragrance. It gives off heavy vibes of class, sophistication, cleanliness, taste, and gentleness. From the initial spray, a slightly powdery vibe is accompanied by a thick balsamic scent with smokey undertones. It smells similar to the original Old Spice. There is a splash of bergamot in there as well, which helps balance the composition. Upon drying down further, the smokey resinous myrrh and patchouli, along with various woody notes, start to reveal themselves over a base of amber and vanilla. You truly do feel like you have been wrapped in a blanket of some of the world's finest and most expensive materials. This fragrance is indeed very rich, sensuous and alluring. I don't see anyone using it for casual wear. This is that fragrance that you'd spray on before an event, a date, or an upscale club.
It can be quite potent, so go easy on the trigger--I use 4 sprays.
As far as versatility, I'd prefer to use this in the fall and winter months, but it is suitable for any season or weather EXCEPT on a hot/humid summer day. At the office, one spray under the chin and one on each wrist is plenty to last you almost all day without offending others.
Ultimately, I love this fragrance very much and I would recommend it to anyone who has a thing for balsamic and resinous scents.

Patch bomb.

Jedidja

This is my signature scent and I am lucky enough to have a lot of very expensive fragrances.

I find that women love this stuff. It's warm and comforting but at the same time extremely sexy. Wear this on a night out and you will be getting compliments.

Like the original, but more; more elegance, more mystery and more sophisticated sensuousness. This is how I like my intense/parfum editions to smell - more of the same as opposed to a wholesale re-working of the original. The silage and projection are fabulous and bottle looks lovely and quietly sophisticated too.

Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense (PAPHI) affords you the opportunity to smell ethereal and sensual, or sacred and sexy, at the same time. And who would smell like that? A wiser Jon Snow from Game of Thrones, or Celeborn or Elrond or Thranduil from The Lord of the Rings. Or even Galadriel from The Lord of the Rings—if she were a man.

PAPHI is purely a masterpiece, without anything cheap or synthetic in it. And to my nose, this masterpiece of a fragrance has three phases. Or faces. It starts off very manly with a strong, almost intimidating sillage. “Sparkling bergamot,” Prada claims.

In the middle, probably when the myrrh and amber and other notes take over, the scent transitions to something elusive and mystical. Smoky and balsamic when the weather is warm. Floral and woody when days are colder. These accords richly envelope you one after the other in an alternating fashion, with a now moderate projection that leaves a glorious trail.

Finally, when it dries down the scent becomes warm and caressing, like the natural skin scent of some kind of a mythical king. And that’s when things start to get intimate. At nightfall. This is my signature fragrance, and I keep seven bottles of it.

L'amoureux

I'm starting to think this is a more of an "On the Go Fragrance."

I can't just sit around with this one on without being focused on something outside of myself that has something to give or just as much or greater energy I willingly give.

I think it would be perfect for traveling ventures because it's so mysterious, and elusive. I have yet to get a definite feeling for it because it's moody. It varies from alluring smokiness, conscious resins, kind florals, and easygoing woods.

Nonetheless, I enjoy it.

I can't put my finger on it. I can see how someone can consider it too harsh and/or unwearable. Instead of packing one big punch, it offers a couple dozens of slaps to your nostrils, happy I finally got a hold of a bottle.

Ourfrank

This is the best from prada. Its like a softer soapier and more cuddly version of Antaeus. Patchouli and myrrh. Romantic and alluring. Great for date night, church or another fancy high class outing.

This smells so good I want to wear this when I shouldnt like In heat or the office in the summer it's that good really starting to like Prada they are growing on me. I blind bought this. The amber is intoxicating

scent : 9/10

60% night/ 40% day fragrance
nice smoky and floral scent
reminds me of Tom Ford noir without the iris

yuvrajswapnil

Mystical and Heavenly is the overall feel. External appearance do justice to it. It a perfume to be worn at night with your secret lover.

36thDisciple

Here's the long and short of it. It smells like Old Spice. A lot. If you like Old Spice, as I do, you will like this.

I blind bought PAPHI despite hating PAPH. Although I'd like to believe that it's a 'refined' or 'sophisticated' adaptation of Old Spice, I don't think I could justify a repurchase.

Cellophane93

I love the regular Prada Amber Pour Homme, so was super excited to get the intense version. This is a much darker, spicier take, with the original's barely-there patchouli turned up to a 100. That, along with the myrrh, give it a dry, dusty, Christmas-y quality to my nose. I love the cool transparency of the regular Prada Amber, and this one strikes me as pretty much the opposite: thick, warm, muddy. The dry down is nicer than the opening, slightly sweet and powdery, with some sharp spices floating in the background. I start to get hints of the amber/saffron/labdanum/vanilla of the original, and am thinking this might actually be nice in the winter, in a big peacoat and scarf. Maybe I'll break it out again then. Right now I can't imagine wearing it.

(Also, this gets compared to Tom Ford Noir a lot, and while I'm not the biggest fan of TF fragrances - the ones I've smelled/own tend toward a bit dirty - I do prefer TF Noir over this.)

Final thoughts: buy this if you love Patchouli, or are looking for a cozy cold-weather scent. I definitely wouldn't recommend blind buying this on the strength of Prada Amber Pour Homme, though, as it's not very similar in feel at all. If you want a richer version of PAPH without the patchouli, I'd recommend trying Prada Infusion d'Iris Absolu.

MemoryTheatre

Another intense and mysterious masculine fragrance from the ingenious accord of amber and patchouli, with an added husky depth of myrrh, both "fresh wood" and "prized possession", "earnest tradesman of beautiful things" and "luxurious machismo". Past these main notes of patchouli Amber and myrrh slight hints of spice and a comforting sweetness are present, and I can detect saffron musk and sandalwood, even the hint of leather now that it's pointed out to me.
PAPHI achieves both earthiness and luxurious splendor with its clever use of resins. Classy and pointedly sexy, this scent is due to be a favorite of mine.

rmf1112

This stuff is elegant, but also versatile enough to wear often. It reminds of old achool mens fragrances, with the sharp barbershop soapy notes, but is also modern because of its warmth and sweetness. Beautifully balanced, and a present day power fragrance for myself at least. It feels both smooth and serious. A modern classic.

OmarAladdin

I really love this one, would've never thought of trying it cause I found the original to be boring and soapy, but then a friend recommended that one and I got it at a bargain deal.
And oh my! Never thought that the myrrh could be this good, together with the patchouli they make a great combo and really amps up each other heavenly.
Very classy, a suit and tie type of a fragrance but still you can rock it anytime.
Performance is above average.
When this is in its middle and dry down stages, I get, ever so slightly, some hints of Midnight In Paris V&A which is very interesting. I guess that's due to the leather and the tonka in here.

obahnas

I bought this at a bargain from the internet, any my, what a good buy this was!

I love how the myrrh and amber go along beautifully with each other, accompanied by hints of vanilla and patchouli

I like to imagine it as a younger brother of the eau sauvage parfum, minus the vetiver...a modern and very easy to wear interpretation of myrrh and amber.

KentB27

One of my favorite fragrances of all time. It is such a beautiful scent. I love the vanilla and myrrh together, it definitely smells like a very refined barbershop scent. If you're into clean, barbershop scents, this is definitely one you've got to try if you haven't already. It's definitely a safe blind buy too.

The projection and longevity are average to slightly above average and I get a lot of compliments with this one. It's easily the best men's Prada fragrance. There is definitely some DNA shared here with Luna Rossa Extreme but this is the better fragrance of the two.

Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense is an underrated gem that doesn't get talked about much anymore. Don't overlook this one!

D-Bo

This is TF Noir minus the powdery note. It's less linear than the TF in my opinion. I like them both. This is classy and going to be a favourite for work for sure.

joenick68

I like it, but I do not recall getting any compliment when I wear it.
I think is suitable for cold weather.

bigtide12

Wow...classic scent with an awesome performance! Highly recommended!

Dark, rich, classy. PAPHI starts out with rich myrrh and patchouli notes, settling down to something both warm and dark. The combination of notes is somehow chocolatey. Its dry down is warm and enveloping. This exudes class and style.

Longevity: 9/10
Sillage: 8.5/10

P.S. This is NOT discontinued.

agolsby

As a myrrh-aholic, I wish there were a lot more myrrh -- I can barely smell it!

To me, PAPHI (which is obviously pronounced like the Spanish word "papi" -- very apropos) is a spicy patchouli aftershave.

It starts with the peppery bergamot-dominated citrus open. The hotter spices and the patchouli are right on its heels as the higher-middle notes give a strong showing from the second sniff onward. (Like many pradas, this has more of a four-layer pyramid than a three-layer.)

As the hours go by, the aggressive heat gradually calms down into a soothing warmth as the oriental elements of vanilla, benzoin, and labdanum becomes more noticeable. The woodier notes of the myrrh and patchouli slowly fade, as the balsamic/resinous notes balance out the sweeter spices with just the right amount of bitter and sour -- a masterpiece of tasteful blending.

In the final phases of the drydown (we're talking 8+ hours) the spices are only barely present. The vanilla/amber/tonka base smells vaguely like Pi, but it's neither gourmand, nor androgynous.

In fact, the fragrance is very masculine the whole time, though the aggressive, domineering opening soon softens into a far more gentlemanly, comforting scent. Unlike the original Prada Amber Pour Homme, this is not the sort of scent a girlfriend would want to borrow -- unless she has a girlfriend herself! (In fact, a few of my women friends who like men's colognes could definitely pull this off -- but they're very much the opposite of closeted.)

It has great longevity. It fades, but never truly disappears.

Speaking more personally, I love the classic progression from an aggressive, manly open, with a musky background, to a sweeter (yet still balanced) scent. That's because, like many men, my skin becomes musky over time. Not talking about BO-- I'm just talking about the natural scent of skin. When I come out of the shower smelling boyishly fresh, PAPHI makes me smell like a grown man. 10 hours later, my skin smells pretty manly on its own, and PAPHI turns my musk into a classy, refined elegance.

The war between classic & modern scents!!
Nice gift for playful Daddy's..

First off, I made a mistake. Should've got the normal sprayer bottle instead of the deluxe one. It's clunky, doesn't spray much, has leakage issues if you tilt the bottle.

Now the frag.

Manly, kinda old school shaving cream vibe but refined at the opening. I think Amber and saffron helps this smoothness.
It doesn't go into the old school terrritory due to absence of oak moss and strong leather.
Very cleverly done.

This is in the same vein as Eau sauvage parfum. Strong myrrh. But they definitely smell different.
I prefer the opening on prada but mid and base of Dior is on another level.

Linear in my opinion.
Very confident, crisp yet smooth soapy kind of vibe.

I would say work, dressed up situation.
Perfect after a warm shower and hot shave.

Scent 8/10

Wish it developed a bit more instead of just softening with time.
Elegance from top to bottom.

Lando1976

What a Beautiful scent. Gives me the same vibe as Versace Man (the purple bottle) but a bit more sweet and complex. Definitely a top notch fragrance. Go get it before it's gone!

jaydemm17

This is great stuff... pure spicy ginger and incense in the drydown... lasts a long time too. A real pick-me-up frag for me.

picknenders

Underrated dumb reach of the century.

nathanlm

I just received this and it's class in a bottle, this is gentleman stuff, high quality.

A reply to a reviewer on amber original:

I can smell LR extreme when I'm ironing my work shirts days after it's been washed so longevity ain't a problem, but it does sit close to the skin after 6 hours, this is the same for amber pour homme intense, both are in my top 5

MetalMan

You awake in a soft cloud, the room slowly coming into focus. The pastel yellows are as loud as they are soothing. Floral patters traced every inch of the bed and the ceiling and walls - stuck in a tacky, man-made garden that reeks of dank patchouli and dusty geranium. You slowly rise, as if your body is made of the heaviest stone, and walk toward what appears to be a bathroom. In the mirror before you stands a faceless, expressionless body made of blackened marble - you touch your face in disbelief, examining the glassy smoothness where there were once sharp features. The sound or marble touching marble echoes throughout the small space...you stare into the dark nothingness that is your face. There are various cosmetics lining the counter - you decide to try and create a face from the powder and blush. The tinge of cosmetic powder fills the air as you puff it on your face...the lipstick smears as you put it on - you look like a caricature of your old self. Frustrated, you walk the halls to see what is going on in this freakish house - you stop at a room as if pulled toward it. You walk into the bathroom and pull back the massive curtain, covered in an orange blossom pattern, and see another humanesque creme colored marble , much like yourself. You lift her and gently place her on the bed...your hand traces the outline of where a beating heart should be. Your finger taps echo throughout the house as you dumbfoundedly stare at the madness before you - her heart starts beating under the stone as veins of burning amber light up under the surface. You look down to see the veins pouring out from your amber heart - you are filled with an insatiable warmth...you are alive again. Hand in hand, the two beings leave the house to bask in the glorious sun and soak up the vanilla breeze that flutters across their new skin - no longer will they live a life of stone.

Day 80 - Missing Piece
Listening to: Tool - Schism

Notes: FYI, this is the short dream I had when I took a brief nap while trying to figure out what to write for the review. It was strange, frightening, and beautiful to live it in the first person. Dreams are definitely a strange entity! As for the scent, there are more notes listed than I can effectively pick out - the top definitely starts with a dense and earthy patchouli paired with a powdery geranium (and iris?) that is both classic and alien in its delivery. This is met by a semi-soapy leather accord (found in the original) touched by the light essence of orange blossoms. The fume lingers somewhere between floral and patchouli/leather for quite some time - then the magic happens! The base notes are far richer and more beautiful than the original - the amber and vanilla accord oozes gentle sensuality and it really is the star of the show. There are slight nuances of myrrh and labdanum, but it is all about the frothy vanilla cream and the decadent amber! The fume lasts well over the 10 hour mark but gets pretty quiet around 8 hours or so, and I feel that this is really no more masculine than the Amber marketed toward women so it could be delicious fun for everyone! I also noticed a difference between my bottle and what I smelled at Sephora last week, so make sure it's the original version (the newer version smelled more like a barbershop fougere...like the original).

alonzo.schönewald

I can understand the similarity to TF Noir, but also, the are very much apart from each other.

It's only a slight resemblance, but Tom's one is very deep, non changing, constant, while this one is Airy and at the same time oriental and close to the skin. it is like you are surrounded by a wonderful cloud of dusty oriental smells. it is a lovely skin scent that states close to the body which i love. i hate perfumes which are way to loud. today there's to many importance to smell like a monster when you come in somewhere aka 1 Million the ultimate stink bomb that smells like bug spray.

LordCharfield

Lovely, but very similar to TF Noir and Guerlain Habit Rouge EAU DE PARFUM version (which is very different from Habit Rouge EDT).
No need for this in my collection.

moawiya.alanazi

I can totally smell the chocolate note.

this one is absolutely oriental which will appeal to people with these notes preferences. And one can safely say it is a standalone version compared to PAPH.

this one is sweet from opening to closure. Just perfect, LOVE IT.

EDIT: the "chocolate note" is in fact, after extensive sniffing; WAS MYRHH.

machsta14

This Scent is simply bad boy in a bottle. Use it carefully.

So clean, yet dirty but also suave it is always a pleasure to wear and for that its a cracking scent.

Silage on my Skin is decent
Longevity - 8+ Hours
Uniqueness - You will stand out but in a mysterious way
Overall - Test it first definitely not for everyone, however if you want to be edgy, bold yet exude a suave bad boy aura ...this is you!

djbuffoon

A very special juice, this was love at first sniff. As noted before, this bears only a passing resemblance to the original Amber, which had the same notes but adopted a rather pungent soap smell.

This EDP version does much more justice to the scent, in my opinion. It isn't as *loud* as the EDT but there is an added richness and depth, so the layers are far more distinguishable and easier to appreciate. One of my favorites, and I will be using it frequently in fall/winter. If the note breakdown sounds appealing to you at all, just go for it. 10/10

Hsk

I love this one but on my dad, not for me, to mature, i just gave a 100ml to my dad, its good with elegance and quality smokiness but just not for me, i like this on my dad ..still got a 50ml with me which i think wont use fr another 5 years..

gillbert

I bought it this week via online and just arrived today.

I absolutely agree this perfume is oriental fougere. I can sense all the notes are listed in this perfume. Layer by layer i can smell it. Very professional,Sophisticated and masculine. It's rich,deep,soapy-earthy-creamy powdery vibe. Absolutely for winter, cold rainy day and night out.

It's not for everyone, must try before make a purchase.

Other perfumes are close to Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense:
1. Dior Eau Sauvage EDP
2. Chanel Antaeus Pour Homme
3. Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EDP
4. Coco Chanel EDP (in dry down)

honestly, it last 12 hours on my arms with 4 spray

Romain shk

Beast mode classy scent, the badge mate of Eu Sauvage Parfum, Egoist,Jaipur Homme Parfum Fan di fendi and so on... Nice in winter or cool summer nights with 3 sprays and thats it..for matuer guys...if you are a Suit and tie guy then this one is a must...Elegance on its very best... Very good Prada...

CGV

Seems I am getting a different vibe than others in regards to the relation of intense to the original. To me they are only modestly similar in their very initial blast after which Intense immediately starts to get drawn to the dark side. The myrrh, amber and patchouli dominate it big time while nice citric notes swirl around with some tonka sweetness added. The further its dries down the more of the deep, dirty patchouli starts to take over. After an hour or two it smells to me like a city center park at night. Maybe Central park at night. Modern, urban vibe, with a good touch dark forest soil which makes its smell dirty, almost rooty in a good, mysterious way. To me it does also have some sort of a Coca Cola flanker vibe to it, which I am digging! Performance is top as well! Love this juice!

L'amoureux

I thought it was discountinued. To my suprise, I found a tester at Neiman Marcus. This would have been an impulse purchase right there and then but they only had a tester to tease myself.

Maybe it was discontinued, I'm not sure.

I need it anyway.

When I first tried it, I found it sour in a way. It's like a fragrance that should have been "That Fragrance" (i.e OneMillion, Chanel Bleu, Sauvage, etc). It just a manner that it possesses but it's not overly ostentatious; surely it will not go unnoticed though. Some time away from it made me realise how much I like it. It being discontinued made me realise that I actually love this stuff.

I think it has a darkness to it that I'm fond of. I can not put my finger on it..

Fishcadillac

this comes off on my skin as a combination of Dior's Eau Sauvage and Midnight in Paris by Van Cleef and Arpel. It's very clean smelling with the top coming off with a dose of Myrrh. The Midnight in Paris reference comes from a slight rubbery smell combined with the sort of fresh citrus. I know I'm the only that's getting this combination, but you know what they say about chemicals and skin reaction. It's going to differ for everybody.

Thomaso7

I like this one, it;s pretty nice, dark patchouli, resins and a tangyness. underneath you can get the original amber pour homme scent in there, but this one is a dark sorcerer, and much more making a statement than the original.

8/10

Calvini

It starts out creamy and sweet, then becomes darker and more sensual; it's not intense though, quite nice and soft.. almost powdery.

kraskata

@MeThePerson, he is talking about Eau Sauvage EDP not the original EDT.

MeThePerson

@alshujairy86...
original Eau Sauvage(not the new Sauvage) is a crisp and energetic fragrance with heavy silage. Brighter and more aggressive on the whole. Pour Homme Intense is a smooth, creamy leather with subtle but effective longevity. Smooth and understated. I love them both. But Amber Pour Homme Intense suits me better with its more subtle notes.

alshujairy86

Can someone tell me if this has any similarity to Dior Eau Sauvage eau de parfum?

Smarty_Scent

Just a masterpiece, Dark... Intense... Creamy... Rich... Resinous classy smell :)

soudenEast

I know that nobody would ever agree with me but I detect a sour, sweet yogurt note in this dark fragrance. This is also heavily green and somewhat powdery. In the background I detect Chez Bond (Bond No.9). Some people may find this too heavy and headachy at times if they are lovers of fresh and light fragrances.
This is a solid masculine fragrance that is nowhere near airy, watery, aquatic types.

AMajeedQT

This truly is "Intense", but it's not Amber at all!

It smells harsh & soapy. Too harsh, too soapy!

Smells like a shampoo to be honest, like Pert Plus, if you've ever used it.

The tip of my nose is burning from smelling it off the paper strip.

Stromboli

Too bad this gem has become hard to find since it has been discontinued. My best compliment getter, on me this juice is amazing, lasts forever and projects madly!!!!!

donimili

"screaming whorehouse" :D
Well, my boyfriend has it and i think it is one of the finest perfumes for men. Definitely finest that he owns :) very warm and inviting. Not one note is screaming or overpowering. It is just right. Actually, it reminds me of Chanel Antaeus, and i don't mean it smells the same but, to me, it is same class. Scent for a gentleman.
It would be a shame if you keep it just to yourself :)

4trl0ver

I fell in love day one I sprayed this magic scent on me until today, some bitch told me, I smelled like a "screaming whorehouse"
that really broke my heart. now I'm never going to wear this devine smell outside my home.

Little Prince

I smelled trouble from the start with this one. The opening is like a 100m run where every note aggressively jumps forward and tries to dominate and win the race.
These first moments are chaotic but as I realized are also the best part of the fragrance. There is a medicinal, slightly bitter, balsamic, feel with a stale soapiness that runs through and although barely perceptible in the first stages it gets stronger and stronger as times goes by. I didn’t say anything and waited for the thing to get straight and evolve. By the time the notes reached 60m seemed to start running out of wind. Before they completely fizzled out into an anonymous musky skin scent they seemed to try to overdo themselves and go for the line. This mummery made this fragrance somehow comical and left me speechless.
To sum up, the opening was slightly promising but the dry down was such a huge let down. I see that some people like it but for me it is nothing more than characterless and tiresome.
