Somebody else mentioned the inside of a rubber halloween mask… Yes! It really is that. A rubbery sweet suede. I actually like it a lot. It is unique, boisterous, and fun for a leather but still has nice a touch of class.

Also, this stuff stays on skin overnight.

How is the performance of the 2023/2024 batches?thanks!

sonny35

If you can handle the intensity and persistence of the raspberry note, then this is a great alternative to Tuscan leather. For me it just got too much and very cloying.

Mr Inquisitor

Smells like a lit cigarette.

kat777

I have a new batch and unfortunately it doesn't last long at all and the sillage is super weak :( it's such a pity since it smells so nice and is so similar to Tom Ford Tuscan leather just in affordable...

Abid Khatri

One of the best clone of TF Tuscan leather, beautiful leather fragrance, price, performance quality is excellent

I don't know why so many people complaining about the 2023 batch, (except presentation, wooden/magnetic box) the perfume smell really nice and it's long lasting. After 10h, I can still feel it on my skin(dark fruity).

Went through a full bottle of this. My most worn fragrance of 2023. I never get compliments on fragrances and don't really care for them but I got told I smell good by my closest friend and a stranger told me I stink. Sweet raspberries mixed with a slight bitter smell, leather, suede, low hints of gasoline and it remains this way but gets really woody at the dry down. On skin this lasts all day and I've had times where it lasts until the next day on skin and still survives the shower so you get a faint smell but still there.. on clothing it's a different story 24+ hours easy also I've had sweaters last up to weeks sitting in the closet no joke. This is definitely a powerful fragrance that will captivate peoples mind in a good way or a bad way so beware. Solid 9 for me.

Soundtrack for the review. Necessary to read the review properly. Playing it at least once while reading my review is a must; it's just got the same energy as this fragrance has:
https://youtu.be/2qga9QLAaZ4

La Yuqawam opens with a dramatically vivid and luxuriously textured velvet-lined raspberry smell that immediately greets you. As we venture deeper to the middle, the heart is predominantly based around artemisia, which I can clearly identify due to its herbal attributes.

Moving towards the base, a smooth blend of woody suede emerges, which, despite the earlier changes, still projects decently, when you might be thinking it's the end, defying expectations of a swift fade. In terms of projection, it doesn’t quite live up to the 'beast' level that some claim. It's super strong at first and despite the complex metamorphosis, quickly dies down compared to how loud it was in the beginning. It still projects, but not as much, gracefully becoming a subtle, intimate presence.

The longevity, however, is impressively transforming without losing its narrative thread. Reliable and steadfast through each phase of the fragrance's evolution, remaining consistent and engaging through each evolutionary phase.

I can’t stop thinking about a comment I read which said, 'it smells like those rubber Halloween masks'. I spent a few hours sniffing it on and off my body to write this (just like any other review). After reading that comment, I had a huge nostalgia flashback for about 2 seconds, remembering when I wore such a mask at around 7 or 8 years old. When I freshly sprayed the fragrance again, especially the opening for the first 10 minutes, it smelled PRECISELY like those masks. It’s amazing what subtleties you can catch; congrats, man. A perfect nose. You found the hidden funky rubber scent.

Nonetheless, this doesn’t change my opinion about the fragrance; I still think it's great. I love these kinds of quirks in fragrances. Far from altering my perception, they only deepen my appreciation for each fragrance's unique character.

This is a very classy men’s fragrance. If you want to try something similar with a combination of raspberry and leather, I’d recommend Italian Leather by Just Jack. It is and smells slightly cheaper than La Yuqawam but it's still spot on. While slightly less opulent, it echoes the same refined blend of fruity suede.

By the way, finding out about the Halloween mask smell gave me the same uncanny eerie feeling as when I found out that the Boney M. singer isn't the black dancer but an older German guy, and the black dancer can’t really sing at all. Or when I heard the burglar's warning music in The Sims 1 for the first time ever in my life, exploding from my speakers.

Blue raspberry and leather. Some musk, smoke, and floral. Warm but it's refreshing and energizing. The fragrance isn't blue as in aquatic at all, but it immediately reminded me of the sweet synthetic raspberry of blue raspberry drinks and candy. And it smells amazing. I'm getting moderate performance. This is a really fun fragrance.

DikaSvila

Phenomenal scent by Rasasi.

This perfume last for eternity and it's greatly refined notes combine leathery and raspberry smells together as if they were meant to be together forever.
It is a perfect wear for some formal ocassions as well as some romantic events. A truly sophisticated smell that is unique and projects wonderfully. The price is however a bit higher, but taking into consideration the fact that you only need 1-2 sprays per one wear, it means it has quite some time to stick around your shelf.

Just got a bottle off Amazon before reading reviews on here and finding out that the reformulation totally changed this.

I might be in the clear, the production date on the bottle I got is Jan 2023 and it came in the wooden box with magnets that seem to indicate the old production style.

I'm not sure where the fruity notes are that other people are smelling, this is like pure synthetic, and potent, leather in a bottle. This is absolutely a strong leather scent, the only problem is that I've now determined that I'm not a fan of leather perfumery. Or at least it's not my style. Luckily this was the only blind purchase I've made as I've started my journey to find a couple scents for me, I have 8 samples across a range of categories on their way so I won't be making the same mistake twice. I'll need to smell everything on my skin before I purchase anything beyond a 5ml sample.

I have determined that this is the exact kind of scent my aunt has been rocking since the 80s, any whiff I catch of this off my arm reminds me of "the cool aunt" from the 80s/90s.

glub

Massive decline compared to previous years.
A watery, alcoholic and weak perfume!

I had two bottles in the last 4-5 years and they were sensational for the price paid.

In 2023 I bought it again and thought it was a fake.
Another box and unfortunately a different perfume compared to what I had before.
A few months later I bought it again from another store.
The same cardboard box, the same watery, alcoholic and weak perfume!

Yes, the last few years have been some difficult financial years. I understand that you cannot sell a perfume at the same price, but I prefer honesty!
I'd rather you tell me that the perfume is more expensive than try to trick me with a very poor quality product!

I was planning to buy something for spring or summer from Rasasi, but now I can no longer trust them.

The DZ

I love leather as a material and as a fragrance. This juice from Rasasi is an incredibly potent leather, one of the most durable fragrances on my skin of my entire collection.

I have never tried Tuscan Leather, but I trust this is very similar. Compared to Ombre Leather, it is more spiky, coarse. Yet there is still a prominent raspberry note that just spoils everything for me and causes a mild headache.

From my understanding those notes are added to help make the leather more palatable, so I trust the perfumers on this, but it's just not a combination my nose deals with well. It's conceptually fine to me, but when I smell that raspberry on top of a leather base, it just feels synthetic, harsh, and cheap.

ZestyPepperiness

Synthetic smelling AF.

drraccoon

Wow. Disappointed. Performance is terrible. I’m talking barely passable. It took 5 sprays for my sister to even catch the smell.

For the price, not a terrible option for a TL dupe but if you’re serious about your Tuscan Leather, this isn’t it. Save up, get the real thing.

I know a lot of people have had different experiences with the fragrance but they fucked the performance on whatever this batch was.

MakeMeBreakMe

Smells exactly like Cocaine in the 90's.

Dilko

After researching reviews on this, a leather fragrance with good performance was what I wanted, and looked like what I would get

This is turned into more of a fruity fragrance with a touch of leather, it lasts about 3 or 4 hours maximum but does have decent projection during the first hour.
It is super sweet, and I wouldn't say it's anything like Tuscan leather anymore, especially not performance wise. I got no magnetic cap like people have stated, no wooden box. I have no idea what's going on with this fragrance anymore. Batch code reads 2023. Looks like the manufacturing company sent this to the grave.

𝕪𝕒𝕔𝕙𝕥𝕞𝕒𝕤𝕥𝕖𝕣

This is my first review on this site, and it's for a reason. I want to warn you.

After a month of researching this perfume online, due to it not being available for testing anywhere, I blind-bought it. I heard all about how it's extremely masculine and an amazing performer.

Let me summarize the 2023 batches: It's sweet-fruity with a hint of leather. Performance is average. Nothing to be excited about, and comparing it to a legend like Tom Ford Tuscan Leather is a little bit insulting.

Presentation: The wooden box is gone, and you get a cardboard box with a wood color. Not a bad presentation, but clearly a downgrade.
Bottle: The magnetic cap is gone, and you get just a regular cap. The atomizer is good.
Scent: Can't speak about the older batches, but at the moment, this perfume is 100% unisex because of the sweetness that greatly overpowers the best part of the scent - the leather notes, which are amazing. For me, it's the exact leather note from Tom Ford Ombre Leather. Great scent, it's just too feminine for a "masculine" leather fragrance.
Performance: Average, 6 hours at best. Clearly a surprise after the thousand reviews of older batches which stated 16 hours and more.

I bought it for 70€. I was choosing between this and Gucci Intense Oud, which was 90€. Obvious mistake on my part, but it's kind of different, and I'm happy to have it in my collection.

If you want a great leather fragrance, get Tom Ford Ombre Leather when it's on sale.

3/5 - Rasasi messed up this fragrance in every way possible for more profit.

djjdnewyork

Bought mine in 2021, so can't speak to 2023 shenanigans! But if you like Tuscan Leather, this is a very good choice.
I find it way sweeter than TL, and less cocaine-y. Kinda wish it was less sweet, as that's not my thing.
But the leather note's mindblowing--brings to mind the interior of a high-end sportscar. But, again, with lots of sweetness.
A real beast--one spray, one-and-a-half tops.
Dry-down has a "just smoked a cigarette" vibe, which I like. I'd wear it more often if it was slightly less sweet, but thumbs up.

Naveen87raj

The 2023 batches are nothing but water, I am not sure what Rasasi was trying to accomplish, but they certainly messed up this perfume. All batches prior to this were beasts, lasting not just hours but days at a time. The 2023 batch does not even have a scent on the skin, it lasts for a few hours and then disappears, there is no trace of any fragrance remaining. I am extremely disappointed with Rasasi.

Ammarbargothi

2023 batches are weak
smells good though

Jimmystinks

I had this, passed it on as wasn’t quite grabbing me. Today received ATH K**t … reminded me of something … La Yuqawam Homme Rasasi. Will have to live with it for a bit longer and see. Anyone else tried ATH and compared?

jordankamenov627

I bought my bottle yesterday and I'm so happy. Here is what going with my bottle . My bottle is from jun 2023 and it's comes not with standard magnetic cap and wood box but nith cartoon box but this is not so important. I sprayed on my arm at 10 am and it's a beast mode. The projection with my bottle is 3-4 hours very strong and the next day I didn't wash my arm and the next morning I can sniff it easely on my arm 24h + I'm just blowing away and the smell is just gorgeous I dont know about reformulation but only reformulation is with the box ! Before buy it I was scared because everyone says that the performance and the projection was poor but here with my bottle everything is just fine.

jasminette

I have to say that after 4 years of wearing this 2-3 times per year, I like it a good bit more than TL. The bitter trace of sun-dried thyme (more stem than leaf) lingers through the end of the fragrance, accompanying the oiled leather aroma and giving it a slightly Levantine vibe that I absolutely love.

anapista

Guys, this fragrance is nuclear, I am wearing it today in my office, I just did ONE spray in the back of my neck this morning around 7:00 am, it is now 2:50 pm in the afternoon and it is as strong as this morning, everyone in the office has told me that I smell good ... from just ONE spray!!! My bottle is from 2020 and it has been on my shelf macerating for all this time until today. It is a nice elegant smell, not cloying, but the sillage is monstruous, everybody can smell it. It is quite similar to TF Tuscan Leather and as you can see, longevity is not an issue at all. I wonder if I will be able to wash it off this afternoon when I take a shower...I doubt it!

Arifyusof92

I love this smell!! One of the best Leather fragrance for those who loves leather notes with a touch of floral fruity.
I've been looking for Leather fragrance that's similar to TF Ombre Leather and this is a lighter sweeter fruitier scent of smell of it plus its way cheaper and affordable at a half price.
Tried Layer this with LV Ombre Nomade and you'll get a splashing Raspberry as these two have the same Raspbery notes, it projects more with stronger Silage.

If there was such a thing as BLACK FOREST LEATHER.... In the first couple of minutes I can feel the raspberry and already the leather-oud is swelling through. As the sillage opens up the raspberry gets juicier and punctuated with saffron and faint thyme. Transitioning to the heart, the raspberry-leather deepens, taking on some smoky, musky & animalic notes. This all rests on a leather-suede base built from oud-ambroxan with some amber-woody touches. This is a dupe of Tuscan Leather Tom Ford with good approximation and excellent performance. It's targeted to men but I find it unisex, although last year I gave this in a group of fragrances to my nephew and he ended up giving it back because he thought it was too feminine with the raspberry. I was so happy to get it back because the raspberry has gotten more intense as the bottle has aged, but after the first hour it's softer and the leather-y oud-incense notes come on strong. As a kid I had a dark leather pair of shoes that my uncle called "ox-blood leather", but in my imagination for naming leathers, this is like the black forest cake of leather (although there's leather instead of chocolate, it's there in my imagination). It's a total love for me. Enjoy!

HMS2MS

This is very similar to Arabian Leather by Arabian Oud but Arabian leather has a better concentration.

jkiffe

This scent blew me away, and the fragrance lasts for hours. I love amber-type fragrances, and this is one of my all-time favorites so far.

martonv92

TF TL is my favorite scent, and this is a more wearable (and more affordable) version of it with insane longevity and enormous projection. Just like the original, this is an absolute STATEMENT of a fragrance. Go easy with it; anything over 2 sprays is going to drown everyone around you. Wear it with utter confidence, f**k the haters, you're a badass.

Nov. '19 batch.

Bruce661

Where's the Raspberry?
Just bought a 2023 batch and to my nose, it more closely resembles TF Ombre Leather, rather than Tuscan Leather (I own both).
Not sure if it has anything to do with a reformulation, but I'm not getting any raspberry notes like I do with Tuscan Leather...

Naveen87raj

The 2023 batch is too weak, it's not as good as the earlier batches. Before, this was my go-to perfume, but now it's lost its longevity and projection. I'm extremely disappointed. I've been using this perfume for 7 years now and I don't want to buy it anymore due to its recent re-formulation.

MozzieWipeout

DO NOT BUY THIS IN 2023.

This used to be one of the strongest scent but they have reformulated the product. A bait and switch.

Old strong scent came in a firm wooden box. My bottle was manufactured in 2023, and it now it comes in a cheap cardboard box. That's fine but the worst part is that it has been reformulated. What once used to perform for 10-12 hours is now a 1 hour fragrance.

Scent is literally gone in an hour, and this is after a fresh shower. I've never been so mad with a company.

Luigi408

Wow! Was my first reaction to this perfume. I sprayed Tuscan Leather in one arm and this one on the other and they are so similar. The difference on my skin is that this perfume is a little bit more fruity. It’s not to say that it’s sweet but the fruit is a little bit more prominent. The leather part of the smell is spot on and the quality is right there with Tuscan Leather. Fantastic clone! Worth the money since this is one of the more expensive clones I have (much cheaper than the original of course). 10/10. This leans more unisex than TFTL because the of the fruit.

miles178

agree with @hananiah

Cherryade

Bought mine a couple of years ago....wow; it's strong! Definitely however a polarizing scent on me.....most people don't like it, however I do but I need to know when to wear it and be gentle on the sprays. Great raspberry note but potent leather scent.

hananiah

Its similiar to tuscan leather but go in different direction. Tuscan Leather is warm smokey leather scent whereas this one is more fruity to my nose. All in all it is similar to tuscan leather but smoothness wise i feel like its more similar with ombre leather. Its less cloying than Tuscan Leather

M7mdmorsi

I bought this a year ago thinking the smell of tobacco oud is tuscan leather.. and I was shocked that it smelled so leathery.. I thought something was wrong only to find out that what I liked in the tf line was tobacco oud not tuscan leather.
Its been sitting on my shelf since and I hate all leather fragrances.. even detecting leather in fragrances makes me sick.. 💔

Agent47

This is pure Cocain (Flake). This right here is fucking heavy as hell. This is what Parblo Escobar would wear if he was still alive!

soap_

Synthetic raspberry and a leather-lined car seat.
I would sooner use this as air freshener for a sports car than wear it. It has the intensity to match that atmosphere.
It is so synthetic, so industrial-grade (to me) that it just smells like leather car interiors.

Make no mistake, this is a near-identical Tuscan Leather clone, and my opinion is the same for both.

I generally am inclined to fragrances that are unique, against the grain and polarizing, but this scent is too reminiscent of a gaudy, bombastic, tasteless and LOOOOUD display of wealth. There is a definite "degenerate" "cocaine" vibe to it, and this scent definitely sparks my imagination. I'm just imagining bad things. Sorry!

Kaisersoze3

Ok, here's the deal: this was my blind buy according to this website (stunning rating, based on many votes). When i first tried it I was disappointed, strong leathery/fruity smell from the beginning till the end, nothing special. I kept it just in case any of my friends would like it (would sell it to them for a bargain of even give it for free) and surprisingly not even one of them like "like" it. They all commented that the parfume is "just ok", likewise nothing special. In my opinion not worth a buy unless you are really into leathery/fruity scents, however longevity is amazing, 24+ hours.

Fragfragbagbag

Not going to ramble here but I love this. Raspberry/leather atom bomb. Performance is incredible. Some similarity to TL in the opening but that’s it.

Wear this unapologetically.

NibloSenior

Very bitter sweet
The raspberry and leather definitely does something to it
Performance is insane
8/10

Dennis Iepan

Anyone knows if this is still strong with the last batches?

segamaw

Tuscan Leather with a great price and a nice wooden box!

Apache1830

Raspberry combined with leather is not my thing, this frag made me realize it, I find it a bit disgusting tbh.
But, I usually hate dominant fruits combined with heavy notes like leather. Cedrat Boise did the same thing for me. Fruits are too heavy. The only fruity DNA I love is Aventus, cause the pineapple is light and airy.
But La Yuqawam and Cedrat Boise got an overwhelming heavy fruity note.
If this is your thing, you'll love this.

hans.backe

I mean common guys, sure it has leather and reminds you probably of any leather scent. But this is not nearly as good as ombre leather or tuscan leather.

SV8

Blind Buy since Tuscan Leather is one of my favorite fragrances and 900Plus people said they are similar. On top of that I have had good experiences with Rasasi so far.
I'm returning this ASAP, it has nothing ( i mean NOTHING) in common with TF TL.
I sprayed this on one hand and TL on the other one for two days straight, hoping that sometimes somehow, with weather change, humidity change, temperature etc I'd come across a whiff/glimpse of what 900+ people called "similar". But after two days I just have to admit that, in reality, they have pretty much nothing in common.
TL is heavenly, while the only way to HONESTLY experience this scent in full detail, without buying it, is to open a can of vanilla root beer and smell it. That is exactly (and i mean EXACTLY) what this smells like, just a tad stronger, and more nauseating scent of vanilla root beer.
After one hour, after two hours, after three hours.... Root Beer and nothing else.
From someone that holds TL as one of the best scent ever and three TF TL bottles and years of usage.
Just Heads up...

jesseh

Performance is such a big letdown. I don't know if that will improve after aging for some years, cause I've had my bottle for almost 1 year and the performance still sucks big time.

zaqr

After reading "It smells like those rubber halloween masks." I couldn't stop smelling just that. Synthetic raspberry is quite sickening. Not a fan!

Edit: Bought a decant of Tuscan Leather a few weeks after this review so that I could understand what everyone meant by "90% similar" and I honestly thought I'd hate it just the same. To my surprise I loved it. I think the blend of fruity, herbal and leather is a rather difficult concoction to pull off and TF does it justice. I already wrote a review of it but the biggest difference is the quality.

TL;DR La Yuqawam is like an off-brand chocolate, where as TL is straight outta Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, golden ticket included ;)

Pgdipoto

I'm sorry (not sorry though) but this is disgusting.
It smells like those rubber halloween masks.
Very artificial smelling. The fact that they tried to cover up this fakey leathery smell with that sweetness makes it even worse.
It really just reminds me of cheap, tacky halloween masks.
And it's wayyyy too strong. I sprayed one sock to test it and it filled my room and for way too long. Yes, I tried it on my skin too, and it's still bad.

Scaletta777

Looks like they ended up changing the Box presentation, no more wooden box with magnets! 11/2022 batch

Fragz360

I recently purchased this, manufacturing date is 10/2022.

My boss is not solid wood instead a hard cardbox material box. Is this a fake ? Or have they recently change their box ?

doors1991

Funny thing,I don't like tuscan leather, and really love this one.
i think they smell similar, but the leather in tuscan is much stronger, and there is something very nauseating.
This one is much more enjoyable and mass appealing, the smell in the air is magnificent.
Longevity is insane.

Wesley Lee

Still the best tuscan leather clone out there.

Tuscan Leather : I didn't hv that money to buy TL. But I tried once in the mall at Duty Free, the retailer spray once on the tester strip, it has this strong characteristics, dark & smoky, which attracts me 😍😍, I didn't detect any fruitiness, I smell high quality dusty leather which also smells like wet tree oak.

Lattafa Velvet Oud : VO has this jammy fruity sweetness opening which is very prominent, which makes it more versatile and alot easier for most people to wear and more unisex, the dusty leather "wet tree oak" drydown is alot lighter

La Yuqawam is right in the middle, which has this raspberry fruity sweetness opening, then fades away, then the dusty leather "wet tree oak" drydown becomes prominent.
LY compares to Tuscan Leather, LY not as dark and smoky, which I'm disappointed about. Drydown is very closed to each other, which I like, and LY is alot cheaper in price.
LY compares to Velvet Oud, LY has more of the dusty leather scent rather than the fruitiness which smells closer to Tuscan Leather, which makes it more masculine, which I like about.

Overall La Yuqawam is a good fragrance, since high quality leather scent and smells very similar to TL, the price point compare to TL is alot affordable.

One of my favorite cool weather fragrance of all time.

ElCaptain

Nowhere near as refined as the superb TF offerings (Tuscan Leather & Ombre Leather), but for what it costs nor would you expect it to be. La Yuqawam Homme is horribly synthetic and excessively sweet to my nose. I’m assuming that’s the artificial raspberry, but I don’t get the fruitiness on my skin. I also get an off-putting motor oil like note in this one. Performance from my September 2020 batch is nuclear, and it’s headache inducing. I notice it seems to get even stronger every year with age as well if you can believe that! I guess you have to give Rasasi credit for being true to their tagline “Make your presence felt”. A more suitable tagline might have been “Punch everyone in the room in the head”. Might try layering it with WD-40 or brake cleaner to tone it down a bit.

Like the city it hails from, it’s a perfect literal metaphor of pure materialism without context, culture, or value. Tasteless, over the top, and gaudy.

xillage

A much smokier, leathery, sweet, powdery dark fragrance. 80% similar to tuscan leather which has more depth and is more refined than rasasi. Overall a decent winter fragrance.

L'Eau Jeff

As a new collector, my first Rasasi purchase was Ambergris Showers; which I do like.
I am very impressed with the presentation and love the magnetic capped wooden box. The bottle is great as well; it feels solid in the hand.
My very next Rasasi was La Yaqawam Pour Homme. Based on my research I was expecting the same presentation as Amergris Showers. What arrived at my door was……disappointing.
The box was now made of hard cardboard with no magnetic cap. Instead, the upper half slides snuggly over the inner gold band that separates the two halves.
I bought the bottle on Amazon for a normal price and “Intense Oud” out of Chicago fulfilled the order.
The bottle itself and the fragrance are wonderful. The only difference that I can see between ambergris showers, tobacco blaze, and this bottle, the presentation box.
When I reached out to Intense Oud asking if they knew anything about Rasasi cheapening the box to cut costs, or if perhaps, maybe they sold me a fake, they kept sending me the same cookie cutter “quality is our number one priority email…”
I don’t know if this happens to anybody else because I’m new to this game, but checking the batch code seems next to impossible on this product.
So I’m extremely curious… Has anybody had any similar experience to this with this fragrance? Again the perfume itself is fantastic. It’s one of my favorites.

Maanijan

Not bad for the price, a great effort by middle east perfumery in leather fragrance.

2179

for some reason i can not smell this fragrance, neither on my skin or clothes. but girlfriend grew on to love it so much on me after blasting me for buying it after the first smell. lots of compliments tho. great blind buy.

Arber Cami

Best Rasasi fragrance hands down. I have a 2018 bottle. This scent is monstrous, fills a room immediately. Opens up heavy on the leather, saffron and raspberry. Dries down to a smoother fruity leather scent. Lingers forever in the air and on the skin. This kicks 'TF Tuscan leather'' in the nuts, twice. Winter scent in my opinion.

Out of all the different dupes, La Yuqawam Homme by Rasasi is the closest to TF Tuscan Leather. Obviously the TF Tuscan Leather is a superb quality fragrance. On the other hand, I won't brush off La Yuqawam Homme by Rasasi so quick.
When I spray La Yuqawam Homme it on my skin, it smells 99% the same to TF. The sweetness of raspberry fades away, I find the leather/suede notes are more than decent..at least 8/10.
This is one of those purfume that you shouldn't snub your nose at. Considering the price and how much time Rasasi put into producing a good quality juice.
This juice is perfect for fall/winter months. I would be surprised if you wore it at a party, and someone came up to you and commented it's not TF?
Longevity and Sillage is excellent at least 6hrs plus.
The version I have is well over 6 year's old. I use my TF just as much. Sometimes I'll go to La Yuqawam Homme because I enjoy the aroma this juice it gives me. 8.5/10

L'Eau Jeff

They either changed the packaging on my November 2022 bottle of this, or I bought a fake! No longer a wooden box with a magnetic top yet hard cardboard. Anyone know anything about this?

Waseem Ch

Best from Rasasi
Leather and raspberry combo are great, best clone of Tuscan leather so far.

Hussladdin22

Rasasi La yuqawam the clone of Tom ford Tuscan leather..my honest opinion it has a great balance but the raspberry note radiates stronger my rating would be

Scent 8/10
Projection 7.5/10
Longetivity 8.5/10
Bottle 8/10

This is a really nice fragrance honestly prefer Rasasi, Afnan and Lattafa over designer brands like chanel Ysl and Dior..Overall great value for money but I feel like it’s more of a skin scent projection is moderate

Dnichl

First few times using it i could pick out the cocaine accord people are always taking about. but after that i really couldn't find it anymore. i guess my brain was still learning to process the different notes and put it all together.

Performance off the bat was below expectation. about 4hrs on skin 6hrs on clothes. after using 100 sprays or so and letting the bottle macerate for a few months, performance has increased significantly. projects well for 3-4hrs hanging on til around 8hrs in and it falls off into a skin scent. 10+ on clothes. the raspberry opening was tamed and smoothed out in that time as well. fresh out of the box the raspberry was punchy and sharp.

10/10 frag -fantastic clone. truly sets the bar for how good clones can get.
9/10 value -much cheaper than TF but this is overpriced due to the hype. 10/10 if it was maybe ~$15 cheaper.

edit: i just looked at the prices and it's even worse than i thought. it used to be ~$40 before the hype, i bought it when it was around $65, now prices are $90-150. with discounters mostly sold out. this should AT MOST be a $80 clone frag.

I would not call this a mass-appealing fragrance. It's high quality and will make you smell like leather. It is clean but not a delicious scent, even with the "raspberry". It is hardly a fruity fragrance. You have to know it's in there and look for it to spot it, but it's not a prominent note. It's a tame leather frag.

I would not recommend it as a blind buy unless you really are looking for something specifically leather-forward.

4.5/10 for me.

Achilleus

Raspberry and leather are pronounced, and the smell is eloquent and delightful. This is definitely a mature smell.
Enjoy.

Gorta

A mix of leather and oud with a soft sweetness. Long lasting and really very classy.

Farideali24

Very nice leathery scent with a touch of raspberry this is one of my favorite scents it is a 10/10 specially in the dry down.

BigBuck

I agree with @spencergaryhansen. Rugged leather dominant fragrance with robust raspberry supporting note. Perceivably animalic. I tested next to Tom Ford Tuscan Leather on my wrists and it smells identical and performs almost as well. Tom Ford is actually quite difficult to wash off; it took me 3 scrub-downs to get it off the back of my hand. Amazing clone if you REALLY like leather.

Gidimeister

I generally enjoy leathers, but as I live in a Mediterranean climate, I need airy leathers like Dior’s Farenheit, Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather, Aramis by Aramis, Chanel’s Antaeus and so on, the ones that allow other notes to sparkle and live alongside it.

This is nothing like those. La Yuqawam wears heavy, absolutely pulverising the senses throughout its fragrance journey. The first spray smells a bit like being doused in kerosene. You hear a lot of talk in the community about Dior’s Farenheit having a vague petrol smell, but I have never gotten that. This, on the other hand, smells something like a fuel depot in a third world country.

You have to wait a few hours to get something reasonably smooth and enjoyable. This is the middle of the fragrance journey, when all the notes are in balance. The raspberry comes out and blends wonderfully with spices and a bitter leather that reminds me of a punchier Ombre Leather. I like this part. I caught myself thinking that this might smell a bit like the birch beast Club De Nuit Intense Man. This part lingers the longest, thankfully.

But by its final stages, 12+ hours later, the tar returns and you get something that smells a bit like the butt of a used cigarette clinging to your clothes.

As I said, I love me a good leather, but this is simply not for me. It is far too much perfume for my nose, even with just two shy sprays.

Ps: Airiness is my preference. Some like dense fragrances that practically commandeer the entire surroundings wherever they go. I cannot stand that. So read my comments with that in mind. If you like heavy fragrances and/or live in a temperate country with long cold seasons then this might be up your alley.

TYSONTORNADO

Absolutely agree with @Spencergaryhansen. Do not rush to buy this if you're a newbie. This is a complex fragrance in the sense that it needs mature nose to understand as rightly mentioned "an art". This is rugged. Not everyone's cup of tea. Less is more in the case of la yuqawam. 2-3 sprays max else it will devour you. One spray behind the neck, one on the shoulder and if at all needed, one on your wrist, that's all you need. It will follow you like your shadow.

m373x

Sweet masculine raspberry leather petrol opening. Dark and warm. Very pleasant. Bold but wearable. Bad boy vibes all day. Gradually loses sweetness and the fruitiness of the raspberry as it dries down. Late dry down is mainly smoky leather and not as interesting and nuanced as the first few hours but still really good. The leather in this is excellently done and the main player throughout.

BATCH# R3022154/F1075761 ; Manufacturing date: April 2021 ;

Initially this had the same great scent profile but very bad performance: 3-4 hours longevity. 3 months later the longevity has practically doubled with improved projection too. Now 1 year later this has macerated beastly: 14+ hours longevity with 4-5 hours of moderate projection before withdrawing closer to the skin. If your bottle has bad performance initially don't be discouraged, it will improve. I spray this 3-5 times.

Day and night wear, masculine. Suitable for cold and warm but maybe not for hot weather. Easy to wear photorealistic leather but not for the office.

10/10

Phlip903

So, I've worn this inside and outdoors over the weekend. It waft constantly in the breeze or standing still. I sprayed at 10am, it was still on after the shower at 9pm as a skin scent. It was noticeable at an arms length for about 4 hours. I've smelled Ombre Leather, but haven't gotten the chance to smell Tuacan Leather. So this one isn't as sweet as OL, but does have some sweetness. The leathers are very close. La Yuqawam is an awesome scent! Just an incredible leather scent with some force.

Spencergaryhansen

New to frags? Don’t get this just yet. You’ll see the reviews and ratings and think your getting something amazing that will knock everyone’s socks off.

Not true. Just wait.

I’m in love with this. That’s because I understand it. Fragrance is an art form that you need to invest time in.

To me, this screams sophistication. If worn in the right way, you can come off mysterious and intriguing. Confidence is key when wearing.

Raspberry and leather. A lot of leather.

My bottle is almost a year old. And it’s aged well. The raspberry is now stronger and I like it much more.

mathghamhan

Raspberries, leather, and cigarettes. I'm not sure where the cigarette smell came in, maybe there's vetiver in here? Nice. Not for the office. This was like crack for my wife when I put it on.

I fell out of love with it after a while. It's a great value for sure, give it a smell if you get the chance.

Ford4630

I bought a sample instead of buying a full bottle of this fragrance, and possibly also TF Ombré Leather, which has been on my wish list for the last couple of years. I am so glad I only spent a couple of Euro on it.

La Yuqawam opens with a slightly fruity but noticeably alcoholic note that smells cheap. It dries down into a stale odour which, at a push, could be loosely described as animalic. Performance is far too good for my liking. Definitely not a crowd pleaser or a safe blind buy. I cannot think of a single occasion for which this fragrance would be suitable.

Massive disappointment, don’t buy it without sampling it first.

jarno1208

I like it. Similar to Parfums De Marly Godolphin and Tom Ford Ombre Leather.

anasshth

This perfume is one of the absolute bests.
It's one of my favorite fragrances if not the Favorite, it's so manly with leather notes from opening to dry down.
Definitely a Fall Winter fragrance !
Rasasi pulled a goat of a fragrance, i don't care if it's a TF tuscan leather inspired i just love La yuqawam.
I'll be buying a new backup bottle, the prices of this bad boy are pumping up a little.
The performance is amazing, it last me the whole freaking day, and it stays on clothes for days.
The sillage is also good, 2 to 4 hours strong sillage then it gets to a moderate level.
My wife loves this perfumes so is people who smelled it on me.
I recommend this one 10000%

Asiaone888

bad boy masculine stuff.. all leather from initial spray to dry down with little pokes of suede. Cant smell fruit or sweet . Thats it, very bold and its not for everyone, not easy stuff.

willyb203

I love this scent: leathery with a little background music of raspberry. I can't get enough of this and it takes all my willpower to limit myself to 2 sprays (enough to go 12 hours).

Unfortunately, my girlfriend hates the smell. She thinks it's too bold and overpowering, combined with her averseness to leather smells in general. Something to keep in mind if you are looking for positive reactions. Wear this for yourself in situations where you aren't one on one with colleagues. If you know your date enjoys leather, you'll be okay. Don't risk putting this on when you're trying to impress your date.

I'll wear this to work on days I know I'll be by myself mostly / won't be interacting with people in the morning. Limit the sprays unless you want the fragrance to wear you. Can't say enough good things about it.

Daws82

I love the raspberry note in the opening, sits there for a while as the leather takes over....just gorgeous!

Dress it up, dress it down with smart casual or a bad boy vibe, you will get noticed, some good, some bad but I definitely enjoy wearing this!

MarkoPeeko

@Ryanne4707

Easy on the insults. Dude’s nose might not be as trained as yours. Skin DNA would most likely be different to yours. We all smell differently - and we all smell differently.

Show a little decency, please. Thanks. 👍🏻

Recently compared this with Tom Ford's Ombre Leather so I'll share my thoughts. First, I don't think there is a remarkable similarity in the two perfumes, for the majority of their stay. There are some waxing and waning periods where I can see why the two are compared, but overall they are ultimately different beasts. La Yuqawam لا يقاوم meaning something that doesn't resist, aka irresistible. First impressions, dry vetiver + Lattafa woodiness. This is an outdoorsy, dirty fragrance, extremely warm and bright. I don't really get a leather impression, at least not leather like in a car or a purse. Rather maybe leather as in the skin of an animal? Overall it's just not my impression, this is a rather woody fragrance for me/there is a pencil-shaving note of some kind. It's very dry. Projection wise, and how long it lasts, it's good. It's not Ombre Leather "good" but I actually prefer the moderation here. 3 liberal sprays gave enough projection to last several hours and enjoy the dry down. There is also some weird fruitiness that comes through here and there, like the peel of fruit or the rind. I say that specifically cause it's not juicy, but it is a dry sweetness. Definitely think this is unisex, I think it makes for a great base in layering perfumes. I think it will work with almost any fem fragrance because it's dirtiness isn't animalic, rather, actually dirty like the earth. Either way, it's really rather enjoyable and I'll adore my 5ml sample for as long as I can. 8/10

Danny-D13

I blind bought this fragrance, and I'm not a huge fan, although I can see the appeal. I think it's the raspberry that throws it off for me. I got this before I tried TF TL, so I thought I'd get a decant of TL to see if I liked it better. I do not. Same goes for PDM Godolphin. I would like a good clone of Ombre Leather because that is my favorite leather fragrance. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Liasdelife

I don't know about reformulation, don't have previous batches. My batch is 2022 and the longevity and sillage is beastly. I can't get enough of this. Projection is easily 8-12h. Starts with very fruity scent and settles down to very pleasant sweet leathery scent which last without any nuances.

This is one of a few fragrances which I can't stop smelling out of my body. It is really addictive. I don't have any feedback from the female side regarding this fragrance, but in general ladies usually are not such a big fans of leather fragrances as men in my surroundings.

I got my Ombré Leather and immediately fall in love with leather fragrances. So I was very curious about this one. If I compare them side by side, they are very similar, but I like La Yuqawam even more for it fruity scent. Ombre Leather on the other side smell for me more luxurious. But the difference is negligible. They are both great fragrances.

This is my signature fragrance until I find some other to beat this beast. 4.8/5

7seeny

Personally I got bored quickly with leather sented fragrances but this one smells good and it smells 89% like Tuscan surprisingly, it performs well aswell

Can someone tell me about 2021 batch. I have april 2021 batch and I dont see it a beast anymore

founder

Do Not Buy.
Causion: firstly, I love this fragrance. But, they watered down new batches way too much. it is gone after first hour. I have a decant from older batches and when compared it with full bottle from new batch I just purchased, men they are very not similar in terms of intensity. Raspberry notes you will struggle to find in new batch. still, your decision. I have learned lot about fragrances from Fragrantica. so, I thought I should give my honest opinion here what i experienced. My batch is 2022. Not Satisfied at all. Decant is very powerful.

Dennis Iepan

Can anyone having the last formulation/batch can confirm that this is still strong?

Apple_

Long lasting powdery leather scent. I haven't smelled the TF its apparently trying to clone, though I can say at this price it feels very quality. A leather that isn't so sharp or 'niche' it becomes entirely polarizing yet it's the type of fragrance that will help you stand out amongst the lavenders, aromatics, and citruses of the world. If you've never smelt a leather heavy fragrance before, then I recommend you try something within this "genre" of fragrance before you purchase. Would recommend, good fragrance overall and great box. Not too sure where I'd wear it though... not particularly office safe or casual.

AnotherFragranceUser

This is very strong and I can see it being overwhelming or overpowering if you overspray it.

The first time I sprayed this on paper, I smelt a lot of raspberry and thought I'd hate it.

Spraying it on myself, I didn't smell as much raspberry. I got a lot of smoke. Deep leathery, maybe tobaccoey?

Not sure this is an office friendly scent? A very interesting fragrance. Probably not a good selection for someone who only has a few scents, but a cool and interesting selection for all of you who already have a ton of fragrances and a lot of them are probably overlapping and redundant.

MosesKaranja

Even a non seasoned fragrance person can understand the leather in this. Very leathery vibe. That being said it may not be enjoyable for a lot of people and do not recommend blind buying this fragrance. Great performance and longevity relative to price and you get a good clone of Tuscan leather albeit more polarizing than TFTL.

jesseh

This is pure crack

suncreensmellsgood

Hell yeah, Leather & Cocaine

Ran through my bottle of ombre leather, and needed something to scratch that leather forward fragrance itch.

Haven't tried Tuscan Leather, but this is definitely definitely playing at the same table as ombre. La Yuq might have a slightly different style, but it's got the status to be there. This shit makes me wanna throw on a suit.

Up close (nose to skin) you loose the raspberry, and only get the leather & cocaine/gasoline smell (which is heavenly), however further in the air away from my skin a nice bit raspberry comes into play, not dominant at all, but complimenting the other notes just floating around them.

Why the hell is there a maple leaf on the bottle? I don't know, makes no sense,

If you like ombre for its leather dominant note, I don't see how you won't like La Yuq. This is some good stuff.

E.L.2002

Not a bad fragrance, but I prefer Tuscan Leather or even Godolphin.

Scent ?/10
Performance 8,5/10 (Actually better than TL/Godolphin)
Versatility 5/10

GeorgeBailey

Nuclear! Def my strongest fragrance in both longevity and sillage. Polarizing amongst my clique, but so hypnotic that I’m indifferent. Substantial raspberry. A touch fruitier than I typically go for… usually if I’m into a fragrance that features this much fruit, it’s a citrus. I dial back the berry vibes by layering with ombré leather parfum.

bjchase55

In comparing this with Tom Ford Tuscan Leather on my skin they are pretty much identical. Very strong leather and that raspberry in the background is just pure awesomesauce. The raspberry is a little more noticeable in the Tom Ford.

TjSmellsGood

WOW. I mean I read the reviews but I wasn't ready. This is a STRONG sweet, smokey, straight up leather scent. I don't know that I could think of anything more masculine smelling. It's rugged and mature and the sweetness of the raspberry shines through to cut it in the most pleasant way. This is a solid 9/10 for me. Seems to last a good bit, but I still gotta wait and see. Was so enamored with it I cane straight to review haha.

Corban Lucas

Tuscan Pleather, pretty much.

It's lighter, fruitier, but the leather note goes more plastic, hence the pleather comment. TF:TS is darker, richer and the leather note is more stable.

If you're a leather fan, not a bad pick up.

Child Chemist

You can immediately smell the quality of this leather scent. While TF Ombre Leather is a purer leather experience, after wearing La Yuqawam, its added character makes it more interesting. Meanwhile, Tuscan Leather's notes are deeper, darker, more densely packed, and open slower.

Excellent value. Crazy longevity. Great bottle.

Lawroma

Be careful with this one. You literally only need one spray and do it away from your head or you will get a headache. Spray on your torso or back or something. It smells good. The opening is all raspberry and dries down to more leather/amber. This is definitely more of a fall/winter fragrance to me, as in the summer heat it will be unbearable. Sillage is huge and longevity is also crazy. It comes in high-quality packaging and is clearly a high-quality fragrance. I would recommend not wearing this indoors (if you do make sure it is underneath layers of clothing)

kunal vatyani

Man I love this one - it has grown on me. All I smell is raspberries and leather. Fortunately I don’t go nose blind to it and I keep getting whiffs of this for hours and hours and I find myself surrounded in this hypothetical orchard full of raspberries combined with leather and it’s so beautiful! I bought this one back in 2017 - I recall I was in Saudi Arabia for a project there along with my wife and visited Rasasi store with my wife a day before we were leaving Saudi for good. We tried a couple of them and my wife found this one to be the most interesting one. So I went for it and gosh I love this one so much.

Performance is really good and Rasasi has done an amazing job with this one.

This one will always stay in my collection!

Initial Blast

You’re going to need to really appreciate a photorealistic leather note. Raspberry there lightly. I think I’d like just a TOUCH of/more sweetness, but that might take it feminine? Hard to say. I will say I’m an over sprayer, and I like the challenge of that life. Many claim Bentley for Men Intense for instance, can be over sprayed. Naaaaah! Easy! Nothing in my collection has kicked my ass but this juice right here. Rocked my world. Thought I was going to die “Lawawakawaka” is alright. It’s different. Bottle will probably last me the rest of my life. Have never tried any of the popular comparisons so can’t speak to those. Plenty have though. It will look nice being displayed even if you never find a situation to wear it.

Airborne Armadillo

I really liked this at first, enough that I bought a full size after using a decant for a while. But my nose evolved on this one and the cigarette/ashtray note that I found mild and inoffensive in the beginning has gradually come to be the first thing I smell when this is sprayed, and has grown increasingly in offensiveness to my nose- to the point that I no longer enjoy wearing it in any mood or weather condition. I do not think the juice has gone off or anything- it's kept dark and cool, and it's not old. Plus, I still have some of the original decant and both it and the FB smell identical- it's just that my perception has changed. So I sold it. If anyone knows of another creation with a similar scent profile but minus the "cigarette smoker wearing perfume" vibe I would be thrilled to try it.

Ronron216

Best Tuscan leather clone on the market. 10/10 👍🏼

Do not do business with below reviewer currently going by “wyattwadlow” He’s a scammer and offers to trade on a lot of different pages. Sends a package with trash/household items and claims your package is empty. You can check his page for the many perfumes he posts on all around the same date 🙄. Soon as I took the cap off I knew what was up. I have never smelled TL but I own OL Edp and these the leather note is the same. I will do a comparison of this and OL EDP after I spend more time with this new scent but I can confirm the scent is extremely similar.

MosesKaranja

The opening is extremely fruity. More fruit than leather imo. In the mid you can smell more leather and it’s brilliant wonderful fragrance for the right noses. It dries down to a very amber leather musky mix some people have likened it to crushed ants and I do get that still a good fragrance for the opening and mid notes. The smoke and musk is present albeit lower than TFTL Good projection sillage and longevity.

Outaroad

I can't for the life of me understand why people give this fragrance such resounding reviews. It smells like a bag of old coins at best, and a toxic chemical substance at worst. I've tried wearing this numerous times and it smells awful every time. I asked a female to spray it on herself and she said it smells like burnt hair. I've tried hard to like this scent but it's just a straight up no.
Do not blind buy this. Sample it first if possible

Timloftus6

The opening starts off pleasant but then it dries down to what me smells like the gloves they use at the hospital lol.....very weird smell but longevity it great. I'm gonna try this a few more times to see if it grows on me....just Smelling the atomizer though it reminds me of when I'd break open a swisher sweet before rolling up the good stuff.

Fayre5

Very nice raspberry notes that remind me more of the Tuscan leather. Wearing this beautiful scent, I got many many compliments that are basically creed. LY has more dimensions and complexity of notes compared to TL along with being heavier on leather giving the synthetic and chemical kind of feel that is perfectly blended with the saffron, raspberries, and woods. Seduction and balanced perfection in this make me go gala about it. I actually bought this reading from more people that it is just like TL. I blind bought this and that really paid off well for me. The presentation of this one is superbly amazing with the lovely wooden box, copper-colored metal accents. The bottle is rich and thick Amber glass that has an engraved wooden cap. Juice is good too that is sweet and leathery. Performance is superb. Longevity is long-lasting and the silage is strong. Grab this sophisticated yet amazing one!

ohDevinn

I blind bought La Yuqawam Pour Homme about 3 months ago (At the time I haven't smelled TF Tuscan Leather). My batch is from DEC 2020. Let me tell you, THIS IS AN AMAZING SCENT! If you do not like the smell of leather, then I recommended you stay away from this one. This scent is a beautiful leather raspberry combo. This lasts about 12 hours and projects for the first 3 hours on my skin. I picked up a sample of TF Tuscan Leather a few days ago at Nordstrom and they are 98% similar. Tuscan Leather has a slightly more smoky smell in the dry down (which makes it harder to wear for me). La Yuqawam is a great alternative! This fragrance goes in and out of stock very frequently so when you see a bottle for under $70, I suggest you get a bottle. This is my signature scent in the fall/winter. This fragrance smells very high quality for the price!
Opening: 9/10
Dry down: 10/10
Presentation: 10/10

ECHOMIKEBRAVO

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVS, AGAIN IM A BIKER, THIS JUST SMEL LIKE AN EXPENSIVE EXPENSIVE INTERIOR OF A LUXURIOUS CAR, I SPRAY THIS ON MY JACKET AND NO MATTER HOW MANY MILES AND HOW FAST I GO, WHEN I STOP AND TALK TO SOMEONE, THEY NOTICE THAT I SMELL FREAKING AWESOME

hclivess

Raspberry and leather. Very mild for an eastern fragrance, expected something more aggressive. Not in a disappointing way. Interesting and very, very unique (I mean outside of TFTL). My batch is R3023761/F1077545 SEPTEMBER 2021 and lasts more than 7 hours so maybe there is something missing in one of the earlier batches?

Wife said this is the only fragrance I need.

Also Alhambra Galatea is very similar, but without the raspberry note sadly...

[email protected]

I am new to fragrances in general, but I stumbled upon this on YouTube. I was intrigued because it was advertised as a clone of Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford. This is my favorite fragrance to date. I ordered a travel spray to test it out and purchased a full bottle the next day. If leather fragrance is your thing you will love this. I live in Texas. So the only thing that disappoints me is I will probably only be able to rock this 3 times a year if I am not traveling due to the weather. It's hot here! Lol For me awsome very happy with the purchase!

perfidious_script

Blind buy. Found this (like many others) after trying TFTL and doing a little research.

The first spray seemed true to the common promise: 'a TFTL clone at a fraction of the price'. Intense, dry, medicinal/chemical leather with little else going on. I loved it. When my partner came into our (fairly small) place a few hours later she noticed it immediately, and was a little worried.

In the following days (and following sprays) the other notes started to come come through: the sweet fruity notes, a light woody accord, that deep animalic/woody pencil-shaving note and other subtle accords that are a bit more tricky to identify.

Calling this 'just a TFTL clone' seems unfair and a little short sighted to me. Certainly the base notes are close enough to be nearly indistinguishable, but La-Yuqawum is more rounded, and softer IMO. Plus it seems to stick around longer. Too, looking down on this is a mere dupe seems unwarranted. This is a high quality perfume that takes the idea of a rough and medicinal leather perfume and puts a spin on it. After all we talk about 'Chypre' and 'Fougere' perfumes as classes, so why not 'Tuscan Leathers'?

SAMPSODX

Initial application is a heavy petrol. 15-20 mins and the vibe starts. Leather, suede and sweet raspberry. After an hour I start to get hints of the jasmine, saffron and amber. The amber mellows it out a little, but not a heap. This is a leather beast. A very sweet beast with the raspberry.

Very much Tuscan Leather, except TF initial application is much smoother. First 10 mins and somebody has thrown me in the petrol tank.

Winter or Autumn nights out. Denim or leather jacket, white shirt, jeans and white shoes, or boots.

It’s a strong vibe but a good vibe. Not an everyday or casual everyday type of scent though so this bottle will last.

Opening 2/10 (douse yourself in petrol)
Projection 8/10
Longevity 10/10
Price 8/10.

Jenbug23

This is a beast! I was afraid to try it because of how much I disliked Ombre Leather (ik, ik). But this is the kind of leather I like. It smells like a brand new car with leather seats. Really crisp and it's sweetened up with the berry. Absolute masterpiece.

Rahul12

Hello people... Here any one tried Rasasi Abeer Malaysia fragrance? This is big brother of la yuqawam.. More leather.. More Petrol vibe.. Truly musculine. Once you try it you forget la yuqawam.

Porsche9!

I got a decant today. Mind you I'm no expert on fragrances, on the contrary, but this smells to me exactly as sweetened Kerosin (or oil lamp petroleum) if you ever smelled Kerosin. That was my first association.

I would strongly suggest to try it before you buy it. Its niche parfum which you have to be a frag head I guess to appreciate it. Not very versatile as I really don't know when would I wear it. Its similar problem as with overhyped Bentley Intense for Man. I can smell it's something different (special) but totally unwearable to me unless you are over 60 years old with Bentley :).

Will try it more but not mainstream.

EDIT: After wearing it more I regress. It's really nice raspberry scent, still reminds me of Kerosin but sweeter. Also it can be more versatile than initially thought. Definitely more wearable than Bentley Intense which I find totally unwearable.

Still try it before buying it as always with fragrances. You can not get the true impression by reading reviews and supposed notes.

FancyPants

I was lucky enough to find a nearly full bottle selling on Facebook marketplace. I'm so glad I bought it. This scent is just about perfect in every way for me. It smells like a million dollars... literally!

That sharp/sweet raspberry note works so well with the deep smooth suede in the beginning. The sweetness of the raspberry lasts for a while leaving the sharper raspberry note in there for the rest of the time.
I haven't smelled TF TL so I can't comment on similarities, but I'm told it's very close.

I seem to getting well over 8 hours with only a few sprays. It smells fantastic and lasts all day... definitely worthy of a blind-buy in my opinion.

Thanks for reading.

I'm not sure what the others below are talking about with the "reformulation" but my bottle marked with a "Sept 2021" batch code is a leather/suede beast.

What this dries down into is a nice smoky vibe with slightly sweet/fruity whiffs here and there and intense leather all the way through. Lasts forever on my skin, 8+ hours and its still going strong.

It comes a step above Tom Ford's Ombre Leather... I'd have to say this is one of my favorite leather fragrances.

Louismanuel

For me too much Tuscan Leather Clone. Not the kind of leather that I like most. But if that is what you are looking for, it may be a much affordable alternative. I own a 30 ML Tuscan Leather for which I paid around 90 €.
I prefer Goldolphin, Aqua di Parma Leather or Ombre Leather. But are more expensive.
If it is an in the face kind of leather you're looking for, you should go for the original Classic leather Knize Ten.
Finally I believe Shay & Blue London, Blacks Club Leather maybe a very good. more civilized alternative. I had a very good deal for it: 89 €/100 ML.
All these have a very good performance.
But for me, nothing beats the PdM Golden Bottle.

MoKia

It’s high quality composition & you’re gone smell like a wealthy masculine layed back Gentelman. The only drawback is limited wearability, I myself can’t handle it in any weather rather than very cold winter weather here in Canada (even in cool fall weather it’s not wearable IMO)

& regarding the REFORMULATION:

I have had a decant of older batch & got a 2021 bottle recently. It’s not reformulated fortunately. I tried them side by side & they are exactly same. Same happens to me with Hawas as well.

HeathHawthorne

Majestic and beautiful. I've had this for a week and I love it to death. First, the box it came in looks amazing and I will always keep it in the box on my shelf. My initial spray I got both the suede undertones and the raspberry note with a touch of smoke. The leather develops and becomes richer the longer its on, but I never lose all of that raspberry touch--I can pick it up throughout the fragrances life. Some delicate semi-masculine florals in the mid and then back to suede. I have never smelled TF Tuscan Leather, but if its anything like this I want to sample it. This is an easy love for me. I'll wear it until they stop making it.

UsetheSchwartz

Absolutely in love with this fragrance!
Been eyeing it for a while, finally pulled the trigger on a decant and fully ready to commit to a full bottle!
To my nose, initial blast and several minutes afterwards it starts out with an ashy smell. I personally dig it.
After the frag settles down (~5-10min), the slightly sweet accord and straight up amazing leather aroma shines through
The longer I wear it, the more I pick up that sweet, rasberry note. Frag is potent and a few sprays easily stays with me all day.

TexiCaliSlim

Oh you RICH rich.
This is some next level fragrance. It doesn't smell like a Perfume or Cologne, It smells totally natural & earthy but in a beautiful way.
Like walking into a clearing of a Redwood tree forest.
My wife is the queen of "tHaT GiVeS mE a HeAdAcHe!" And when her first impression of this was straight up impressed, I knew it was a good thing.
This also seals the fact this is a safe office fragrance!
This is easily one of my newfound favorites!
My batch was 11/2021

Fragmeister

Leather, suede BOMB. Sept 2021 batch, I don’t see any issue with its longevity. Starts out super potent, careful with the sprays. Dries down to a fruity yet masculine leather. I’ve never smelled TL, but I have smelled ombré leather and they start out similar but go in different directions. This one leans more masculine. Great stuff!

Sullii

Scent wearing 8/10 Quite a few complements, was very surprised,
Longevity 8/10 Can't complain at all, could still get wafts of it 5 hours later
Value 7/10 pretty expensive, but honestly worth it

samim69

I blind bought it after readnig reviews from other member in here and I dont regret it.It is better than Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford and much cheaper so if you like leather perfum go for it.

THE BLESSED

I don't know about the reformulation issues for this one, but at the beginning I was happy to wear it, but after a while I lose my excitement to wear it, I was confused, nothing leathery, just synthetic fruity note in the dray down, I found the scent smillar to Arabian hooka or Shisha tobacco (hubbly bubbly) nothing wow, I found it not that friendly or versatile, anyway there are so many choices worth the try more than this.

jasontallwood

The batch code is at the bottom of the wooden box. It is not on the bottle. Under the cap or anything else. I actually checked when someone asked. Usually I don't care for batch codes but figure I'll help you guys out.

I've never smelled Tuscan Leather or Ombre Leather this is often compared to but on a first impression it's slightly above average. I honestly didn't get it. I liked it but not 10/10 get 5 backup bottles now! However after wearing this for almost 2 years where the fragrance aged. The projection and longevity have greatly improved. You get this burst of freshly picked rasberries that splash you in the nose, then it transitions into a smooth leather that to some can come off as abrasive but I think it's really well done for a fragrance this masculine and there's some smoke in the background to give this definition. I absolutely see why someone would say this smells like being in the back of a luxury car smoking a cigar as every time you sniff your shirt or my case back of my hand right now it's like I'm taking a drag on a cigarette. i've heard there are subtle differences with the real Tuscan leather but considering the price difference I couldn't care less The sweetness makes this fragrance almost addictive, where you look forward to wearing the fragrance again and again.

As this dries down there's a bit of a middle eastern touch to this. Possibly how the thyme spice is used but you've really got to over think it to pick it up. So far the 10 or so people I've shown this fragrance to everyone seemed to enjoy it. One friend more than likely bought a bottle. Two cheap skate family members couldn't justify the price tag. Even when I told them how much the real tuscan leather is.

Projection and longevity. Give it a few weeks and it drastically improves. I've had this happen quite a lot with certain EDP concentrated fragrances the first few years, I got well over 8 to 10 hours with this. The last time I wore this on the bus I did 5 sprays. I'm sure that's why this kid moved the second there was another empty seat on the bus beside me.

Any time it gets cold out I'd put this on. As there's something perfectly fitting for the winter about this as there's some warmth and spiciness that comes from this fragrance. I can see myself wearing this as a first fragrance, it will excel in a suit, especially if you're a boss or manager. Fancy dinners and maybe date night. Though I can't see people clubbing in this, cuddling with someone or wearing this in the day time or to the gym.

You'll like this if you're a fan of darker fragrances. Armani Code (EDT) immediately comes to mind. You've got to love leather. It has this nice sweetness to make it wearable more than a few times a year like a garbage niche fragrance no ones going to buy. The big difference is this goes in a whole different direction than code. Code is dark and sweet. This is richer due to more leather being used. Spicier and more aggressive. There will be times code works better, there will be times la yuqawam works better.

I wish they would have released this without the stupid wooden box and the fancy bottle. I'd seriously be happy with glass bottles with the names on them. No one is going to see the bottles and I'd own tobacco blaze and ambergris showers already if they weren't almost $80 each because of the stupid presentation.

Drchrisnicol

Relieved to know that I am not the only one underwhelmed by the 2021 batch. I like the TF original and respect the influencers who praised this clone, but this version is so anaemic, I’m hardly aware i am wearing anything at all. There IS an agreeable essence lurking in there, but you have to work hard to prise it out.

EDIT: It is now a year since I reviewed (and wore) this. While it has been gathering dust on the shelf, the opening seems to have gathered strength. There is now a pungency to it which I don’t remember before. Raspberry seems more to the fore, pleasantly so. Sadly, however, the performance is not a jot the better. If you are prepared to keep applying, this will be fine but by lunchtime for me the olfactory trip is over.

hritz87

Oh my
Just WoW
I have most of the hyped creed, roja kilians xerjoff sods what not
But just recieved this today
And this is simply WOW.
Better than many of the niche i own
Just go for it

Tim James

This is truly an amazing dupe of Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather. The quality is there, 100%. The scent profile is there, 97%. I think this is a tad more rounded whereas TL is a bit more aggressive, especially in the opening. Blind buy worthy if you've smelled TL and enjoyed it. Also blind buy worthy if you have an affinity for leather based fragrances. Honestly, I'm really blown away by how good this fragrance is.

jbeck97

Such a great fragrance. I absolutely love TF Tuscan Leather, but I don't love the price. This is an amazing clone that seems to perform just as well as TL on my skin, and it also projects very well while being affordable. I find the leather note to be ever so slightly different from TF, but not so much that it makes a difference. It may be a little sharper, I can't quite put my finger on it, but whatever the difference it's so subtle that you can't really tell unless you compare the two side by side (which is what I did).
When you're reading the reviews about it being watered down or not having much performance, just remember that this is only how it is perceived by those individuals, and as far as performance goes it can vary from person to person. These things are very subjective; I suggest you get your own nose on it and see how it reacts to your specific skin and chemistry before making a decision.
It's an awesome raspberry leather fragrance, and if you like tuscan leather but don't like dropping that much money on a bottle, you should definitely try this one out. Don't let the negative comments stop you from trying this one, most of those people are full of shit anyways. :)

Where can I check the batch codes for my bottle

qaiser.meh

i bought 2 rasasi fregrances and found both of them below avarage performers. my la yuqawam bottle from september 2020 batch and its almost finished now. this give me total disappointment. i have some more fregrances also with same price tag ,low price tag and some high price fregrances. this is the worse performer of all. people buy fregrance to wear not for showcase.
don't buy this fregrane if you don't want to wear alcohol only.

Mtemix

I have an old batch, it is a high quality juice and a really beast.
Don't blind buy it if you are not a fan of leather fragrances.

beogradbeogradbeograd

Dear all,
Please don't make final judgement before you give your bottle time to mature. You all sound like a bunch of babies.
Thanks.

ScottCayeta

Are all Rasasi fragrance watered down? What happened? Did L'Oréal buy them too?

Play_master

Tried La yaqawam today for experiment sake and to clarify myself. Applied it in 11 am morning. From the first spray itself you feel it isn't a potent juice. Asked my wife. She replied with just okay. After an hour i felt it got so loud and was projecting like a beast. Asked my wife to smell and it and she replied that it is so prominent now. It's 6 pm now. I can easily smell that leather on my hand. Still not a skin scent by any mean. And yeah my bottle is october 2020 and got macerate for a year now.

Edit (19/12/21)
The same day same time i sprayed one spray on my room curtain too. I can still smell it. My wife didn't knew that. And she told me for 3 days straight that she can smell something and said more while passing through window. She didn't even knew the spot where i sprayed. So yes, these juice need to be macerate... Give it some time. It'll become the beast you want it to be.

Even My bottle wasn't potent when i first received it. Now it is at least projecting beastly for first few hours. So i would say let it macerate. In fragrance world you should have patience some time. Sometimes you don't like perfume at first sniff but than it grows on you.

Update on the 2021 Batch - B.NO:R3022154/F1075761

I can confirm that the current batches are watered down really bad. I posted a review on the 2019 batch and that one was decent, now its bad.

Do not buy the new ones, I wouldn't even call it EDT concentration.

What a disappointment. 💔

Zeb10

Dear all members, I'm Zeb new in this community. I was about to purchase this fragrance. But, I have read comments about this fragrance and decided to stop for a while. Because, most of the friends are talking about the new batch (of this fragrance) is not as satisfactory as the previous one. Please guidance required regarding the old batch of La Yuqawam Homme by Rasasi. Means which batch or year should I prefer.
Thanks in advance

desert5555

Disappointed with the longevity and sillage! Bottle sep 2021... Don`t buy it, very weak

prasartpongpet

It used to be stronger, but it is still beautiful. The sept 2021 batch last 4-5 hours, then you need to respray.

RichieRich

Well, just a better version of Tuscan Leather, love this leather bomb. Usually wearing it during winter. Longevity is an easy 12 hours, projection is about 3 hours.

Bottle is from 2018
Overall rating 10/10

heriscentic

Just received batch from sep. 2021 -- mediocre- performance, not quite what I expected from a 1$/ml Rasasi along with the stellar reviews. Will do a full review when the bottle has settled, the scent is super fine.

Probably reformulated as suggested by bruderholger and Morgoth01, it is currently put to shame (performance wise) by the 13$/75ml Versace Blue Jeans I ordered for free shipping along with it.

flekter

This is my first ever review on Fragrantica so I will probably not be the most specialized reviewer but I will give you my honest take on La Yuqawam.

First of all, the perfume opens with a sweet raspberry note and the leather is instantly present. As time passes, it evolves into a beautiful mixture of these two notes. I do get the smokiness from it and I have to say I really love it. I am very sensitive to sweet aromas so this one is really cloying in the beginning but then tones down to a gorgeous masculine leather scent with a playful, fruity twist.

As far as performance goes, I wore this 6 hours ago and as I am sitting on my bed after a club night, I can still absolutelt smell this one on me. I was catching whifs of it all night even in an environment where you normally have tons of perfume around you. I feel like anyone in a radius of 1 meter or more could smell it.

I have a 2021 batch so I can’t speak for the older ones, but this thing has incredible performance for it’s price. It’s genuinely such a refined (although it might seem linear to some) fragrance that comes at a surprising price. However, this might not be for anyone. Sweet perfumes give me headaches and the intense raspberry of this gave me a slight headache as well. Yet I still wore it again because at the drydown, it doesnt’t bother me anyone.

Great scent, great price, hard to recommend for a blind buy. Give samples a shot and see how it reacts on your skin.

9/10 for me personally

Update: It’s been nearly 24 hours since I wore the scent. Two showers after and numerous hand washes and hand sanitizers, I can still smell the perfume on my wrists where I rubbed it in. Performance is insane. Not sure what others are getting but if this is not beast performance I don’t know what is.

smiauu

Khatrissimusdorsi just let it sit for a couple of months, it will get stronger and stronger. after a year you have basically chemical weapon in your hands

Khatrissimusdorsi

Recently purchased a La Yuqawam Pour Homme from Dubai, in Rasasi's official store. It was out of stock in practically all their stores except for one which had stock that I could find.

The performance is absolutely horrid. Let alone myself, even the people who are sat 5 inches away from me can't smell the scent 15 minutes after I've applied it. I asked my cousin who was sat next to me whether he could smell anything (and he usually smells and comments on whatever fragrance I've put on without me even asking), and he said no. Then he sniffed my skin/clothes and said yeah, but this scent is super light.

I'd sprayed 6-7 sprays, on clothes and skin, just about 25 minutes before this moment.

Paid about $75 for this scent and expected a hell of a lot more, especially considering this price was not easy for me to pay.

People used to speak very highly of this fragrance, but I'm not sure Rasasi have maintained their quality.

.

Arber Cami

I can't compare it to Tuscan leather, I've never smelled it. I only can say that I adore this smell, the combination of leather, suede and raspberry is just perfect and classy. This scent reminds me a little of "Serge Lutens - Daim cuir", who has a similar vibe : leather and apricot.

gabytro

I bought this a month ago (so new batch) ..very happy with it but I gave it to a friend and bought another one (2019batch). This one is not the same :( It does smell more like Tuscan Leather but I don t want that. The main issue is that I don t feel the raspberry any more, only smoky leather.

GreatGreyOwl

This is quite similar to Tuscan Leather. To me La Yuqawam is missing the smoky and woody base that TL has, and it has been replaced with increased raspberry. It feels quite sharp in the opening, but it gets more comfortable as it progresses. Throughout the development there is a sharp and unpleasant note (perhaps tobacco). To me TL is more balanced in the beginning because of the richer base, but the drydown gets a bit too harsh and serious. La Yuqawam is more playful at that stage.

fanzypants

Fall in Toronto, about 10 degrees over freezing. Just traded for this and it's awesome! Up there with my favourites.

While I generally get overwhelmed by middle eastern produced / branded fragrances with incense and or amber related components, this one works for me.
Starting out with berry, it balances well against the leather. As it dries, the florals really make this interesting and romantic while the incense and wood blend bring some roughness to it, a little ashy feel. Love it! I think the herbs and amber must help everything come together. Wicked fall scent.
In my collection, I also have sterling's just jack Italian leather which is awesome. In comparison, this lasts longer and has more layers and development before settling on something much smoother. Paying twice the price for this is worth it if you like wearing this scent in cooler weather. It's going to get a lot of play for me.
Big thank you to the fragrantica user who traded this to me, and to all who left honest reviews!

Anabol2336

If you like Tom Fords Tuscan Leather or even Ombre Leather you will love this one. People call it a dead on clone of Tuscan, but honestly it's far more wearable and crowd pleasing in a manner more similar to Ombre. Performance is excellent even on new bottles. Easily getting 8 hours minimum.

calculus314

I sprayed once and got a nice leather smell. Then it quickly turned into an ashy smell. I didn’t really mind but you should know what you’re getting yourself into.
But then I sprayed again and I got some lovely fruits that I couldn’t detect before. Then the ashy smell became barely noticeable afterwards. Wow this fragrance has depth!

If you’re interested, try Tom Ford Ombré Leather (2021 Parfum) first and decide if you like it.

The longevity seems pretty good but I could care less. For the price, it’s 100% a keeper.

Overall I think it’s the best alternative to Tom Ford Ombré Leather(2021 Parfum).

Irfie

So this is my first ever review on a fragrance and I thought I should come here and drop in my review.

For people who think this is like Tom Ford Tucsan Leather, they might be wrong, this is towards Tom Fords Ombre Leather (it's very identical).

So I got this fragrance today after seeing so many reviews and was excited to use this as I love Tom Fords Ombre Leather and currently own one too.

I was surprised as how close this is to Tom Fords Ombre Leather however super disappointed with the longevity and sillage! I have an April 2021 batch, not sure if this was a bad batch or a defective unit but after 1-2 hours I don't smell anything on me. I wish if the sillage and longevity was as good as reviewers would say.

I will allow the bottle to sit for sometime and then use it again to see if there is a difference, but super disappointed with the longevity and sillage, Tom Ford Ombre Leather seems to be much more stronger than the Rasasi La Yuqawam that I have.

eshack22

I dig it. A lot. I, of course, went in looking for the Tuscan Leather comparison. In preparing for the shapness...I was greeted with a smoother take on the leather/raspberry combo. I'd actually say it's much closer to Ombre Leather. I'll get a good rotation between all three.

chrisarcarola75

This is a "more wearable" Tuscan Leather to me. I have a 50 ml bottle of TL but I never have the opportunity to wear it other than in the 3 or 4 week "winter" we have in SW Florida. This though seems to work better for me in the heat than TL. Longevity and Sillage are great and I'm getting at least 10 hours from this. Great blind buy. Bottom liine and most out there in the fragrance community will tell you.... If you like TL I'm almost certain you'll like this.

martinvb

Mine lasts like 2-3 hours. A faulty batch, I guess, but I'm pretty disappointed. Would have smelled nice if it had this enormous logevity everyone talks about.

DLF

I blind bought this. I like it, but I don’t love it. Will use in the Fall and Winter, when I am out in the street. Definitely not a scent I would wear indoors. I doubt I would buy another bottle. Great for those into leather scents.

ProjectionHunter

I havent tried Tuscan Leather or Godolphin yet, so all I can do is speak for this masterpiece freestanding. I love it. Perfect amount of longevity and projection, 1 spray on the arm and 1 on the neck, 1 on shirt chest and im good for the whole day. I would clasify as a strong or mini beast performance. For the price, its exceptional. I noticed its weaker at first compared to the samples I recieved, but its slowly catching up, so fresh bottles need to sit for a bit before you get the full experience.

If I could even try to describe the smell... its as if someone were to light a fresh ciggarette maybe 30 ft away from me, and that initial sweet smokey residue creeps its way into your nose, nothing harsh at all completley pleasant. Ive adpoted it as my signature scent because I really enjoy getting whiffs all day anyday anytime any occasion, however its best suited for colder evenings. The dry down is a bit sweet and dry but it takes a while for it to get there and thats mostly on skin, on clothing it holds the opening for hours and hours.

10/10 dont blind buy

Alexzai

Best Fragrance by Rasasi La Yuqawam a perfect better then original ( Tuscan leather). Deserve 9.5/10.
Best for winter and AC climate , nice masculine fragrance. Really really nice scent 🌹🌹🌹

Dr.Mohannad

Very similar to TF Tuscan leather.
A bit disappointed with the projection, I expected more.
It's not bad though, not weak but definitely not a beast.

mihais

My favorite main leather fragrance. Smells amazing. However, I have problems with longevity and sillage, perhaps the bottle is not fully macerated, since I just got it. I would hate it to be a skin scent, especially since I love it so much. It has such a dark, masculine, bad boy vibe.

SimplDude

I like this one as well as the original TF Tuscan Leather. I like them both in a different way. I tested it side by side on my left and right wrists and here is what my nose reported to me. I can easily tell the original even if it was a blind test. If you smell the original, you know what I'm talking about. Yes, there is a similarity in the scent profile. It's close but not very close. However, this doesn't mean that La Yuqawam is not good. It actually is, in its own right. To me, nothing beats the original period. The OG has a sharper, distinct opening but this one has a softer opening and as it evolves, I find it more wearable and has a much pleasant fruity dry down. I have to have this in my collection and I want to wear this as well. As to the original, I'll wear that on more special occasion or events.

If you like the original, it wouldn't hurt to check this out as an addition to your collection. At that price point, I would say this is a bang for your buck.

I'll rate this humble but wonderful juice a 9.5/10

“Let us spread the scents of peace and kindness. The two most beautiful fragrance in the world that will cost you nothing and will get you a totally different kind of compliments” 🙏

lucasfrossard

Blind buy. Did not like it at, even though I can see myself using it in discrete events or even work. I think it is a fresh sent so probably okay for any season. This is not a party fragrance, nor a fragrance to get compliments or that has a strong presence. Would use it when looking for something not to get any attention. Don't mind the high score here.

Xzotic Smells

This is Tuscan Leather on a budget price! 95% dupe, it's just sweeter and more vibrant! You want the smell, and can't afford Tom this is the one you'll need! As always! Try it for yourself, everyone has different DNA!!!

103057

It's mostly sharp, aromatic tobacco on me at first, with a hint of cherry or raspberry underneath. It's fairly strong, but not a 'room-filler.' The tobacco is realistic, but not amazing; it's not quite cigarette tobacco, but it smells like a lowish quality cigar at best.

Disappointing; I'm glad I only got a sample, because I wouldn't wear this. The tobacco isn't of a sort I like, and at least on me, the fruity note smells more like cherry cough syrup than raspberries. It does move towards raspberry later on, but not enough that I'd wear it regularly. The dry-down is indistinctly sweet.

I haven't tried Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather, so I can't speak to the accuracy of this as an imitation. The price is certainly reasonable at least. On its own account, I don't like it much, but some of that is probably due to my general dislike of cherry. If you do like cherry, it might be right up your alley; a friend of mine who doesn't generally like fragrances, and who has never mentioned any of mine before, said he liked this. I ended up giving him the rest of my sample.

phxl

A really sweet raspberry opening that is followed by deep and mature leather. This really does smell like a wet leather couch, in a weirdly good way. Quality and performance of La Yuqawam, just like many other Rasasi fragrances, is great. Can't really imagine a woman wearing this, as this is such a mature smell.

Can definitely recommend, but is certainly not for everyone!

Rating: 8.5/10 - Greatness!

Stillmagnolia

While I mainly think whatever you feel comfortable in is gonna read “appropriate “ for you, and I consider myself strongly in the “girl” category, the stuff I might put in a male or female category just seems a little different than what I see on the bar graphs sometimes.
For me, I guess strong and heavy/peppery vetiver or certain fougere scents (esp if they smell like shaving cream), or super-dooper blue are what I kinda associate as squarely in more male category on me, and prob big flower like tuberose as more female. So I dunno if people generally see me as smelling like a dude or dudette half the time, lol.
I loooove cedar and leather and resins and smoke and incense and such. Also love tuberose and big ole flowers.

This for me is absolutely not largely a male fragrance. ?? Go figure.

Anyhoo, I agree that I get some TF TL as well as ombré leather, but one thing I love about this, besides that it seems a little heftier to me, and a smidge less sweet, is that - for lack of a proper term, I’ll call it ashtray- vibe. No idea why. I’m allergic to smoke and think ashtrays stink. So it clearly smells like something else I can’t put my finger on. But that’s what sticks out - albeit subtly - to me on this one that would make me reach for it over others just based on preference. (And depending on where I’m headed)

This was my first Rasasi. Any others anyone would recommend? This one makes me think I could have more luck with their other scents.

Montourage

Finally got around to trying this one out having sat in my cologne cooler for a few months and wow it smells so good. Leather isn't my favorite scent in the summer which is why I hadn't tried it yet but I can see myself wearing this after the sun goes down. Definitely not as versatile as most of my colognes but it has its place and I'm happy with this blind buy.

louis7391

It’s too strong and gives me a headache. Weirdly Tuscan leather doesn’t. Probably slightly more subtlety in the Tom Ford, but still quite similar.

Style 29

Rasasi, inspired by Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather, took this famous DNA, gave it some small but ultimately positive tweaks (more fruit, less leather) and then made it one third the price. Viola, you have an absolute winner! Need further proof? My daughters hate leather based scents, but they love this one! Blind buy? Yep.

armando2021

A bit too strong for my taste. Wish it had less saffron and more rasberry. I Smell a bit of rasberry, woods, leaves, and tons of leather. Towards the end it turns into a powdery scent. Not a safe blind buy. I've had compliments from older women. Mostly a winter and fall scent.

estaesta

Raspberry tobacco ashtray petrol and sparkling champagne hint of rose? Holy crap its strong and beautiful. Heady fruity rich and cold metallic at the same time. Mesmerising to me

Jerre

Luxurious. Warm leathery tobacco. The Raspberry lends a little sweetness to this concotion of absolute perfection. This is what I wear when wife and I go on a dinner night. Splendid fragrance. Smells of richness and happiness.
Performance 9/10
Sillage 9/10

[email protected]

UPDATE: This smells good to me now. Better in cool weather. I sprayed some on my bed comforter and it lasted a long time and very pleasant.

This seems like what Voldermort would wear, it is dark ashy stale cigarettes ashes and raspberries. Where is the leather? Perhaps in winter it transforms.
I think I could add a single spritz layered with another fragrance to give a bad boy vibe, hint of mystery.

I have the 2020 bottle

Sammy@au

La yuqawan.
A spicey, fruity leather similar to Tom Ford Tuscan leather, not as leathery, a little more fruity but has all the right moves.
A marvelous fragrance in its own right with great performance.
Very smooth & classy.

bogdanp

I have to agree with Clownboy's comment below. I started with a sample that I loved for the mix of strawberry sweetness and smokey leather. So I bought a 02/2021 batch bottle. Unfortunately it's very different. I'm not complaining about the longevity, but the sweetness and the complexity are gone. The new one is a lot harsher.

I sprayed the last drop of the old batch, a spray from the new bottle and a spray from a TF TL decant (which, by the way, I'm smelling for the first time).

I like the old LY the most, as I find it more wearable. Second, Iike TL, for its complexity and smoothness, but I don't find it so similar to the old LY. In the drydown, the current LY is probably closer to TL than the old one, but still quite different and not as likeable. I feel let down.

Love for the older LY (don't know what batch), meh for the 2021 batch.

Reviewing yet another [Rasasi] sample, I gotta say I'm starting to find this house interesting. La Yuqawam, like Tobacco Blaze (which I sampled first), is utterly seductive.
First things first: Do NOT smell directly when you spray on your skin as there's an unpleasant petrol-like note which I'm not so crazy about. But catching a whiff in the air is glorius. The harshness of leather/cigarette note is balanced by the fruity sweetness of Raspberry, and this combo just does it for me.
I've not tried TF TL so I can't do a comparison but this is good. You get an awesome scent bubble with fantastic longevity.

Update: Lovely drydown. Better than Tobacco Blaze imo.

Very similar to Tuscan leather but without the subtlety. It’s far too strong and overpowering and you can’t really discern the individual notes.

I totally agree with "discardedandroid"'s review... All I get from this is used ashtray / raspberry, but where he gets new leather, I get old, damp, smoky pub leather. Strangely, it dries down to a relatively pleasant leathery scent, but that initial impression sticks in the mind, and doesn't make me feel confident to go out and about smelling like a manky old boozer. As far as performance, it hits the spot. I've seen several comments here saying it doesn't project much or last long, I can only assume bad batch or clone. I've experienced the opposite; projects well, but it's no beast, and lasts over 12 hours and can even survive a shower or bath on the skin.

Honestly, to take a scent, put it in a machine and make a copy, there should be a way established to sue such companies. I mean, someone took time, trial and error, invested in an OG, and after them some jerks come and reap the benefits.

Mysterious performer. Intensity overloaded. Loved the scent. Long lasting.

Rasasi produces quality fragrances and La Yuqawam is no exception. You will likely need to blind buy it online. Before you do so, try to get your hands on Tuscan Leather or Godolphin at a local retailer. La Yuqawam is a worthy substitute for a fraction of a cost.

The First notes that hit my nose is Damp leather a hint off dark raw tobaco and berries, the raspberry goes away for me after a minute or two.. Then Its all warm suede and leather and a little smoky cigarett that later smolders and turns into a ashy tobacoo ,

Verry well done scent for The money imo, on testning strip and garmend the scent stays Forever and on the skin It projects and last 8 hrs Its a skin scent (thats a god thing.. You dont want this to smell to loud)

Ravenrage

This is niiice. It's fruity and edgy at the same time. I bought it as a cheaper alternative to TL. Obviously, as everyone on this planet did. The opening is more herbal than TL, but the dry down is quite the same. For me, it's an acceptable alternative.

Also I'm fairly surprised, that this is marked as solely men's fragrance, because the fruitiness makes it very well suitable for women too. But not every woman, ok, I'd say you'd have to have a bit of edginess about you. I'd wear this one with a leather jacket, when the zombie apocalypse comes, with all the appropriate attire. This definitely wouldn't go with a dress.

Update: the woodiness is sort of pencil shaving like. Still a love thought.

I originally bought a decant of this and loved the crap out of that.

Then I bought a full bottle and only quite liked it. At some point I sold that bottle for some reason.

Today I found the reason. It wasn't a 2016 bottle I bought but I bought one today!

The 2016 bottle is head and shoulders better in smell and performance. I sprayed one spray at 11 this morning and it's still pumping out and smelling bastard amazing 12 hours later.

The later bottles are good but get the 2016 if you can. It's just fantastic.

Ekhedr

for me much better than tuscan leather - the rasp & leather r very well blender together

Rickigg

Smells 90% like Tuscan Leather, but without the depth you can smell in Tuscan Leather. I'm a little dissapointed because I can't smell any other notes, it just smells plain without a depth as if it would be a synthetic copy.

The scent is amazing and super unique. This suits for black suits or for fancy event/party dressed up. Longevity/performance is enormous.

Zygoptera

I got this as a blind buy for fun. I don't know what Tuscan Leather smells like. For me this smells exactly as others have written- like an ashtray + berry, but I don't smell any leather at all. For all I know this could be exactly how TL would come across for me, but I don't know. I got this Dec 2020 and it lasts 6-8 hours but doesn't project much.

Overall, I'd say this is good to add to your collection if you want something bold and different. But otherwise try it out before buying because this will not appeal to everyone.

**Edit**

I finally tried Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford, and to me, La Yuqawam is no where near it. There might be a little similarity but TL is a lot more sophisticated and smooth, whereas I find LY to be sharp and harsh. LY might work as a cheap alternative but you can vividly tell the difference between the two. The difference is so much that I actually like TL but I do not really like LY.

This is almost identical to Tom Ford Tuscan Leather. It reminds me of ombre leather as well but less sweet.
Great leather fragrance.

I love this scent. Sadly, I bought an Aug 2020 batch, so it's longevity absolutely sucks: my girlfriend says it smells like blue jellybeans after 1.5/2 hours. If you're planning on buying it, do so, but just wait a little longer, hopefully there will be better batches in the future. Also, since it has just under 10% oils, it's technically an EdT.
