I truly like this, it is powdery but sweet. Something i'd imagine cotton smell like. Also this kinda gives me nivea or dove cream vibes. Nonetheless, I love this

According to the author of Blushsuede.com blog, Ritual of Dao is no more and its replacement is Ritual of Jing? Just in case you are trying to find a replacement for Dao. You can check out her blog for more information.

I dislike this more than I like it, it is my least favourite of the Rituals series so far. It has some nice, cool and calm spa like notes to it but above that it has an oily scent to it that is slightly bitter and a bit cloying. I don't know what oil it reminds me of but some kind of greenish oil or seed oil. Due to that note, I do not enjoy the scent of the bath foam or body cream either. I let my partner use it to get rid of it faster since it is neither feminine nor masculine to me.

I wish this was more available elsewhere than in Duty Free shops. The body mist smells really calming and slightly milky. Great for after shower and when you want to unwind. None of the notes are too overpowering but simply an epitome of calm, muted scent. Such a great discovery and wish there was a shop available in Australia.

Discovered Rituals on my summer vacation. Dao is simple, light, and humble. It's fresh and powdery at the same time. So very relaxing. Smells like Chinese shrine surrounded by pond filled with lotuses. Love it on me when I need something inoffensive or just some peace of mind.
Apparently the sillage is not bad because my friend noticed me wearing it after myself not noticing for hours. Longetivity is meh, but it's forgivable because (1) it's a body mist and (2) if it stays too long, I think it takes away the "kindness and humility".

As a sucker for lotus, this is for me beyond mesmerizing.
The fresh, airy lotus is married with earthy and somewhat dirty yi yi ren. In my mind I am in a serene south-east asian shrine. Totally humble and totally unisex.
I use many cosmetic products of this line, cannot wait to get the body mist. If only there was an eau de parfum... sigh...

April 2019 Discovered the Rituals brand while traveling last summer. Saw the Rituals shop inside the Amsterdam airport. Dao was the one fragrance that grabbed me. I wore it through out our time there in June. It did the job to give a nice, light, fresh and pretty fragrance to skin that lasts many hours, more so on clothing. My only disappointments are that the fragrance only comes in one size and it does,'t last all day.

Dao smells amazing. Something in it remind me of almond. It is a bit powdery and sweet but has a very clean tartness. Very special scent and I wonder what the notes are.

I bought this because I fell in love with the scent of the Dao night hand balm. Waste of money! This does not sit on the skin for even an hour. Disappears within minutes from application, the scent does not linger in the air int eh room after spraying. Same goes for fabrics: evaporates so quickly you can't smell anything.

This smells like me, directly after a shower. I use Vosene shampoo because of my postnatal dandruff, and mixed with the supermarket own brand "ocean" scented shower gel, this is exactly how I currently smell when clean.
I wouldn't use it as a bed spray, as suggested. I find it way too fresh for that. But it's a lovely early spring to late summer scent.
