I really like this one, it's really unique. The smell after the drydown reminds me of cookies and cream with a cup of hot coffee on the side. It lasts fairly long and has good projection. I rate it 7.5/10

Maverlck

This is not a safe blind buy. I like Uomo signature and the tiramisu coffee note in that.

This reminds me of that but a take on a fresher version perhaps. It comes across as cloying and makes me feel sick though.

Perhaps gourmand lovers may tolerate this but it's definitely not for me and I would stick to Uomo signature for colder months and scrap this one.

Imagine if Hollister or Abercrombie & Fitch tried to make their own version of something from the Curve family of fragrances, and that's what you have with this fragrance; a Curve flanker that never saw the light of day under that brand name. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the perfumer behind this fragrance had tried to submit this to Liz Claiborne for a Curve flanker brief and it was rejected, so they passed it along to somebody else.

Not to say it's a terrible fragrance, it's just not my style anymore. I don't get ANY of the scent notes in the pyramid, and I agree with only a couple of the accords listed. I'm not sure how to describe the smell itself except to say "sweet, citrusy, fresh, and oddly synthetic smelling." Definitely a younger man's fragrance (teenager to early 20's).

Ptfrag

Worst fragrance in my collection, smells like synthetic mess, and i mostly own cheapies.
I cant stand this fragrance it doesn't know what it wants to be, its not really a freshie, not really unique but not easily likeable. Don't recommend it. By far the worst ferragamo frag.

abahvdbs

FRESH MUSKY SLIGHTLY GREEN FRESHE'

unique non-sweet office/casual freshe'; the violet and geranium isn't overly done and adds a slight 'green' freshness to the musky freshness, the ambroxan isn't overly done, and the woodiness, cardamom, & coffee are light;
fairly light frag, and surprisingly not sweet like the majority of the SF Uomo line; not loud or wow profile, unique light freshe, light enough to be unisex though the greenness & and light coffee note (not like roasted, but like coffee grounds) adds light bitter earthy accord; can see Uomo Casual Life being mostly appreciated by more mature pallets (like most violet based fragrances);
good composition, doesn't smell cheap, decent performance or good if you spray heavily; versatile, light so best in spring-fall and indoors (wind will obliterate the frag instead of pushing it).

PROJECTION/SILLAGE: LIGHT; within 2-3ft scent bubble for the 1st hour, afterwards mainly an in-close scent.

LONGEVITY: GOOD, about 6hr(s).

Hemaa00

Worst Fragrance i have ever owned, it is too intimate, with about 10 Sprays on Clothes it remain max. 2 hours. it does not have charachter nor uniqueness, I can not notice the coffee note as well.

Doesn't smell like ferragamo uomo or uomo signature
If this was in another bottle there wouldn't be any comparisons
Generic scent smells like nail polish remover
Synthetic mess
Not worth $10

Fantastic - 100% safe blind buy.
I would buy it again anytime.I bought a tester 100 ml for 22$.
I like the perfume quite a bit, pleasant not intrusive smell. Medium emission, SILLAGE durability for me is about 7 hours, quite pleasant smell, ethereal and light, a little more youthful - overall a great fragrance. Don't be afraid to overspray. Such an underrated scent.

3NO7

Decent frag. Reminds me of Nautica Voyage with a hint of coffee.

Got it as a gift.

msgnyc

I do enjoy the fragrance. I don’t know why, but I get pickles from it. It has a slight whiff of sweet pickles or relish. My gf (now ex) liked the fragrance, but after I told her that she just can’t unsmell it… 😅

Lenmwyarduon

Very thin, airy and light, similar in some ways to Armaf Sillage. Smells like freshly dried laundry, or a breeze. Not a bad offering, but not enough to set it apart from other frags that do the same thing. It is the cheapest smelling of the Uomo line, and in my opinion the least desirable. 5/10

gxbjw

Imagine spilling a glass of coffee in a bucket of sharp-smelling air freshner. Well, if you think the smell wouldn’t appeal you, then Casual life won’t as well.

It’s a musk-ambroxan bomb that gives off this ultra metallic smell, but at the same time it’s creamy, ambery and sweet. I don’t know what to make of that, but something feels off.

Maybe Salvatore Ferragamo was trying to take the route that CK Free has taken, but CK Free managed to balance the notes out by adding juniper berries and patchouli in order to facilitate the freshness and creaminess working together.

Pass, but still worth a try if you think you’d enjoy a metallic-creamy scent.

Fantastic- 100% blind buy safe
I would buy it again anytime
Such an underrated fragrance

Sighclone

Italians take their espresso with a small curl of lemon zest perched on the cup.

Casual life is like a giant curl of lemon zest with a few drops of espresso that accidentally came into contact with the lemon.

The scent makes sense, but leaves you wanting more.

Don't be afraid to overspray. Might be the only way to wear this without wondering if you applied any fragrance at all.

Trosè2

This is in the same family as diesel only the brave and Gucci guilty edt.

Fresh/sweet.. gets sweeter the more it drys down.

If you like those two, you’ll like this equally as much.

Best on clothes. 8 hrs. First 4 hrs are the best. Before the freshness is gone. Compliment factor dissipates as the freshness does.

dabeyondobsessedemperor

Yeah, it's generic, but like in a really nicely crafted way. It smells like it could've come from the shelves of Zara, if I'm being honest, but the ingredients used seem to be high quality, and despite how many there are, it's been a bit difficult for me to find a musk-heavy men's cologne that is pleasant to my nose. Thankfully, this one hit, however mass-appealing it might smell (seriously, no hate there, it's mass-appealing for a reason and that's because it smells good to a large variety of people). So for me, Ferragamo has done a nice job in creating a pleasing dumb reach cologne for the summer with Uomo Casual Life.

And that's primarily how I used it as: a dumb-reach fragrance in warmer months when I didn't know what cologne to use and I needed something that required no thought. There's someone I know, though, that I found out enjoyed the scent of this around 6,000 times as much as I did after smelling it on me, so I gave them my bottle so they could happily enjoy the rest of their days with Casual Life. Since then, my dumb reach summer cologne became YSL Y EDP or Invictus Aqua, which are perhaps slightly different vibes to what you get here but wonderful, well-blended summer options as well.

In conclusion, if the classic, musky ambery vibe fresh colognes are your preferred choice, I'd say Casual Life is worth an investment. It may not stand out in your collection, but it will certainly fit in like a missing puzzle piece.

Musky , aromatic , run of the mill scent. Unfortunately I cannot smell the coffee. And it does not last long on my skin. 11/2 hours .

dabatch

espresso & tonic. a nice september scent.

coffee scents !!! of course not !!! where the coffee is found ?

Trab

I really love coffee scents but there are few which are really top, my top pick is Coffee Man Paradiso from O Boticario but it’s discontinued, and I love Uomo Signature as well and now this one, I just received a couple of days ago is also very nice this has a great opening you only wished would last a bit longer because it’s divine – in the drydown, the ambraxon and musk takes it over and becomes a bit more youthful – overall a great scent and unique

Gluuten

I'm not sure what Automeris is saying here, as this fragrance very much smells like coffee. That's actually the main note that I can smell.

Automeris

Not bad, but does not smell coffee at all. This is more a fresh citrus-ozonic fragrance.
Maybee reformulated recently?

Personal opinion : test before you buy

Blind bought and regretted, tried it multiple times, never worked for me, from now on i will stride away from gourmand coffee notes in fragrances, because this thing never ever worked for me.

Positives - performance is killer, it can be worn in summer, spring is best though. if you like scents like this you will love it. I really like the original uomo but this thing just isn't working for me, it's a bit more paco rabbane-ish than the orignal and i simply can not stand it

Thanks Jeremy, really did me a favor with this one..

Gave it away for boss bottled oud.
EDIT: the guy who i sent the bottle to swap it with called me out for sending him a dishsoap in a package in a facebook group where 200 people mobed on me for being a scammer, so me being a stupid little Sh*** sent him back his boss bottled oud just to not have to f with anyone. Hope it kills him :D

Ferragamo Uomo Casual Life is a citrus, aromatic and woody fragrance.

Its output is citric-herbal, bright and sharp, it does not smell very natural, but it is pleasant. In this phase, the violet leaves give the citrus fruits greater brightness. As the minutes go by, the aroma of coffee is shown, which gives the fragrance a unique feature, to finally close with a musky and woody base.

This fragrance, as its name says, is for casual and urban use, for warm days in spring and summer.

Its duration with me was excellent, more than 10 hours, and its sillage the first hour was noticeable and then it went down close to the skin.

I consider this fragrance a good alternative to fragrances like Y by YSL or other fresh violet leaf fragrances, plus Salvatore Ferragamo perfumes tend to be attractively priced.

djole12

Gourmand Freshy!
Casual Life is s good name for this one. The Iced coffee/ Violet Leaf opening is the best part for me, it is attention grabbing and pretty unique.Mid while it lasts still has that coffee but it gets sweeter and to me the fragrance gets a little bit of green undertone. While the opening is Great and the mid is good, the drydown is really boring, it is a musky woody generic base that is forgettable. Fragrance is good and for spring/summer casual wear is ok.

For me: 7/10

wdpnrds

Really bad. Overpowering Coffee accord. Never if I wanna smell like a walking coffee...

Luke.walstow

Very good fragrance overall, sweet and fresh with a nice summer Starbucks vibe coffee note. Performance is decent 4-6 hours but if you overspray it can be even better projection is pretty good for the first hour or 2, worth the blind buy.

Smells like Green Irish Tweed a little to me
Fresh and clean
A really nice scent

edwardedo

this is like mainly Nautica Voyage with undertone of OG Uomo

ten.sprays.one.elevator

"Freshie, meet Gourmand. Gourmand, meet Freshie."

Uomo Casual Life walks a narrow tightrope between BR540/Cloud praline and a lemony, Dior Homme Cologne freshness. There's a subtle, creamy warmth here; it smells like a freshly made latte.

If you spend the summers dousing yourself in Happy or Versace Eau Fraiche, this might be the one to carry you through Christmas.

SaturnsOrbit

This is decent and pretty unique. It strikes a strange balance between fresh and gourmand. At the front there's a slight dessert-like quality, but not tiramisu (like many seem to claim). Maybe something like a baked lemon bar mixed with some florals? Behind that is this soft, pleasant musk that rounds the whole thing out. It doesn't project much, nor does it last more than a few hours. But the overall scent combined with its low price makes it a worthwhile buy. I often wear it on spring and summer weekends "casually" like the name suggests, but I'd also recommend it for a daytime lunch date.

Dr Harder

I dont get the supposed coffee note here at all, there is residual sweetness left from original uomo dna and hardly anything more than that. On the other hand what I get is musk and a lot of it, this is indeed musky and ozonic fragrance with toned down amber like sweetness in the background. Musk can sometimes resemble hair spray or woolly smell and there is definitely that kind of vibe in the opening. Luckily after one hour all the notes come together and mellow into nice mild warm/sweet/ozonic mix that lasts 4-5 hours. If you let your imagination run wild then you could argue that this mix has coffee like smell, but overall this fragrance has mostly prominent musky and ozonic elements, rest is just a quiet background.

SimplDude

The Uomo lines are great addition to my collection and my favorites are Ferragamo Oud and SFU Signature. Casual Life is a good summer scent with coffee vibe, kind of a little different but not unique. First time I applied, the scent seems common or generic but its ok and I didn't catch the coffee right away. After a few minutes, that's when the scent starts to develop and is very pleasant. As I walk around the house, I can catch a whiff of my own scent trail. For the price point, don't expect too much on this but you can rely on it. As a summer fragrance, reapplication may be a good idea since it doesn't last that long on my skin. However, some folks may have a different experience since our skin chemistry and our olfactory senses are totally different from each other.

If you like a simple summer scent that has a coffee vibe, this one is for you. True to its name, it's perfect for casual wear, a grab and go scent for casual living.

I'll give this little nice fella an 8/10

“Let us spread the scents of peace and kindness. The two most beautiful fragrance in the world that will cost you nothing and will get you a totally different kind of compliments” 🙏

RobDelm

To me, this is the smell I imagine if I were to walk into Starbucks on a summers day. Someone just poured me an iced coffee and this is the smell! A great spring and summer coffee fragrance done right. I really really like this one. Very wearable and compliment getting for sure.

stilllearning

the first time I sprayed this on my skin it takes me back in 2003 when there was one fragrance mist that I am using when I was still in 6th grade and I forgot the name of that. I am not sure if it is from Avon. but the scent profile of this is very similar to that. It is fresh, sweet, very airy cucumber like scent. very nice and it is really good. there are really a certain scents that takes you back from the past.

LackOfCommonScents

To me, this is a dumb reach fragrance that is good for a pick-me-up, with the coffee and ambroxan notes.

Not overly complex and subtle enough for office use since the projection and longevity make this one disappear when I spray this a "normal" amount. At first that disappointed me and this failed to stand out - I like em nuclear strong.

I gave it another go and I generally give it a good 8-12 sprays, and at those levels this is grrrreat.

Firmly blind buy safe and office appropriate. You can force this one to perform if you really want to, and you get a nice coffee scent out of it.

Chesco

Damn, i think the Uomo line is under-rated. After testing on a ton of young beautiful girls, they got CRAZY for a lot of the frags in this line!!! No joke!

For the person i am, im trying to focus on quality smelling frags, and im finding myself becoming a frag-snob, but im absolutely baffled at how many drop dead gorgeous young women love the frags in this Uomo line! Thus, it's slept-on, and absolutely god-tier when it comes to 'best bang for the buck' frags for students!

Same scent genre as Chanel 'Egoiste' and Hugo 'Green'.
Great spicy, herbal, piney fresh scent, so strong can become cloying.
Epic price for a solid frag!!
Easily one of the best bang-for-the-buck frags a guy ballin' on a budget can buy!

3.5/5 Woofs!

Jrskorick

Am I the only one who thinks it’s so similar to allure homme sport? Ditch the coffee and add vanilla to this and it’s pretty much chanel. The performance is also almost identical on my skin at least. Plus side it’s only like $30-40

stefancrisxd

The coffee note in this fragrance is reminiscent of the original Uomo and the signature flanker, not as intense though. It has a little bit of everything; it's fresh, clean, the violet is there, the lemon, and even the cardamom. Develops to a really musky scent. If you like the original uomo, I'd say don't buy this, just go for the original uomo and spray lighter. Doesn't smell bad at all to me, just a safe clean scent, what it doesn't have however is performance. I think it's gone in 3 hrs max, at least on my skin. Projection is fine for one hour. If you're looking for an edc that doesn't project crazy, for summer, consider this. Despite it being an edt(5-15% concentration), I think it's closer to an edc(5% concentration max). I'm an addict to this line hence why I have three of them. Is it worth the low price tag? For me, yes. Blind buy worthy if you like the original uomo and want something really light for summer. Keep the bottle with you and reapply, it's really cheap.

heyheycharles0

Meh! I thought I was gonna get something along the lines of Givenchy play (yeah, yeah silly me). It is so cheap smelling, and I know it was just $22 but still, not worth the money IMHO.

ebull22

Blind bought this on discount and was very pleasantly surprised. Perfect springtime fragrance imo - it opens up with this vibrant citrusy watery violet leaf/lemon combination then starts to develop this coffee and musky nuance on the dry-down and lasts on the skin for a decent period of time - for the price it’s definitely worth purchasing

1moreWord

This fragrance should be called Uomo Casual Febreze because it smells like an air freshener... and not in a good way in my perspective. I blind bought and expected to like it from what I've heard, but for me it just reminds me too much of an air freshener that I used to use. If anyone wants to swap for a 3.4 oz bottle, let's chat.

NickZee

This is very clever. Perfect way to enjoy the original Uomo during the day, hints of the excellent original but not so brash, plenty of lush ozonic notes, soft violet leaf and freshening ambroxan. Definitely has similarities to Mugler Amen Ultimate, but that one is more creamy and sweet and has the fir note in the first hour, this one is more sheer and fresh. Also has similarities with the abundant creamy violet scents on the market like Montblanc Emblem, but again, this is more sheer and ozonic.

samuelpeterson

when they discontinue this no one will care. pretty boring and has nothing on SF Uomo and Uomo signature

dereynolds01

I can really smell the slight tones of coffee and citrus along with the woody bass notes after awhile. Good compliment getter. Women and men seem to like the scent. Really strong at first, but becomes gentle after a good 2 hours or so. Overall love the scent, but longevity could be improved

Williamsmell

I'm digging this. Disregard my comment somewhere below. Some folks report that this is a "gourmand" fragrance...it certainly pays in that area a bit. Has the Uomo DNA. I would categorize this as an uplifting, casual (duh), unique, very likeable scent. Wish the opening lasted a bit longer, but hey...

perfumehoarder

Quite sweet, but very likeable and affordable. Decent performance, smells slightly of caramel popcorn and dries down to sweet citrus. Much nicer overall than the regular Uomo.

the_internetguy

Conflicted about this one. I really like to smell it, but I am not so sure I want to smell like it, if you know what I mean. So I wear it a lot when I'm by myself. Perfect quarantine fragrance?

DavidPliskin

The opening note was great, reminds me of being in an authentic Italian gelataria...BUT after a few minutes the musk note overtakes everything and for me was too overwhelming. If you absolutely love musk go for it, but otherwise steer clear

moonriverandflowers

First impression was an immediate love but I grew tired of it quickly.

Not at all adapted for a scorching hot day, the pronounced coffee note making it sweltering. Mid season is a better time for it.

Uomo Casual Life is modern and easy to wear but feels like a not-so-successful attempt to mix light and heavy components, with coffee tilting it on the heavy side and the freshness, though still prominent, isn't very well balanced.

parallelstream

Before I bought this, I was a little surprised at how many people were saying this was a bit of a gourmand, but they're totally right. I'm not a fan of gourmands, but this one has just enough freshness to offset it a little for me.

I have to say that I don’t think this smells that much like Invictus Aqua like some people have indicated on here, but it does remind me (just a little bit) of Lacoste L.12.12 Blanc, but obviously with a little bit more to it with the coffee bean and cashmere.

It's a very likeable scent and, like everybody says, will get you compliments.

AmbuEnak

i need to respray every 2 hours everytime wear this perfume..
if salvatore put the Longevity of signature uomo here
it gonna be wonderful...

Williamsmell

Damn you, violet!! Another instance wherein (for ME anyway) the violet makes it something I don't care for. I don't know why, however this note just REALLY sticks out to me when it's part of the note breakdown. Took me some time (and $$$) before I was able to figure this out/ find that the common denominator in the frags I found off-putting all had violet. The prob for me is that SO many frags have this as a primary note.

Creed Green Irish Tweed Eau d'Ete

IMO

miodrag.banac

This is my summer fragrance together with ed hardy Villain.
The smell is really nice and "light" you cannot go wrong with it, projection is okay but it lacks longevity and it gets you compliments.

westoexpresso

Very happy with this fragrance as it works well off my skin in the summer. I've found this house to be one of my favorites for fun easy wearing scents. Well priced for the performance I get.

MixVolt

Loved the original and the signature in the cold weather, so to pull off that scent DNA in the summer is just amazing!
You can simply have the whole line as signature scents all year round smelling very special and unique. Well done S.F

AFJN

Longevity is low(3-4hr) and has moderate silage for 1.5 hours on my skin. Immediately after I spray, I can smell something like sugar liquid.
Sweet violet and musky opening. I don't really smell coffee or original Uomo DNA. Nothing unique. A basic sweet modern men fragrance with a violet twist.
The scent itself really good and can compete with any fragrance that costs two or three times.

Rating 7.5/10
Very safe fragrance.
Bonus point: inexpensive and easy to find.

EauDeBaldy

It's nice, fresh, simple, nothing crazy, nothing unique.

Can't go wrong with this, it's a good safe one for anyone at anytime of day.

Even though it's simple and fresh, it will get you compliments for sure.

fatsweet

WOW, if you love gourmand fragrances, you’ll definitely love this. If you want to smell like the delicious Italian desert tiramisu you should definitely get this. Blind buy but I didn’t regret anything at all. Really love this fragrance, longevity is a 8/10, scent is a solid 9/10, silage is a 7.5/10. An amazing summer/ spring fragrance if you want to smell delicious!

felipebizarria.1

I like it. There's a leather vibe in here, maybe it's the cross between coffee and ambroxan. It's linear and elegant like a Ferragamo suit. Two thumbs up.

rand07

Def at discounted prices is a very mass apeal scent that will pull compliments and smells pretty good cant complain to much about it unless you paid full retail.blind buy worthy atleast to my nose.

thethe

Violet leaf kills it for me. It’s the one note i can pull off. Hard pass

DGpourHommeMN

It's pretty decent smell. Fresh and little sweet. Very versatile as well.
I bought this over the original because I don't need too many overly sweet frags. This one is very safe blind buy imo.

stephen.redeker

My first impression, this is a "meh" fragrance. Not a dislike, just nothing special. I don't know why someone would want to smell like this given all the other choices available up to that price. I do pick up the hint of coffee in the mid. Someone put ZARA 7.0 in the "reminds me of" list, and that's not totally wrong. Personally, I would take ZARA 7.0 over this one in a second (dare I say).

Update: Boy was I wrong on my initial impression. It seems like my mood affects my impression of a fragrance. I sprayed this one at home on the back of my hand, again, and I totally got the "fresh meets coffee" thing this one has. I kept getting wafts of this throughout the night and it was very pleasant. Now I think this is a really good one, and actually it doesn't remind me of Zara 7.0 at all now.

ismellgood

Definitely a warm weather frag. The citrusy wood and ambroxan comes alive in spring/summer. In winters violet dominates and can be cloying. This and dunhill blue ocean are my summer rotations. Cheers

IAmStaka

@manuildimov you got testers 100%
They have simpler atomizers.

greekbasil

just picked this up for what I thought was a steal at Marshalls fro 30....after wearing it this evening I feel like im poor now because its smells cheap synthetic and it should be 10 dollars.........it has this tacky old freshie smell ..barely get any coffee and the cardamomr which is what I was hoping to smell is non existent smh

manuildimov

Hello guys please help me ! Why all my ferragamo uomo line fragrances like original uomo and casual life doesn't have their sprayers on the cap? I've checked the batch codes and they are from 2017. I don't think that my bottles are fake. And no i dont have any tester bottle. Its full presentation and the only difference is this with the atomizer.

Lefty&Medusa

This fragrance is very fresh first time buying it I love it just wish the coffee smell was a little stronger I was hoping on that but besides that awesome fragrance this fragrance will be perfect for work or back to school ages from 16 and up could pull this off I love Salvatore Ferragamo uomo signature and the original this is a very great Buy can't go wrong pick this up at Marshall's for $30

Grasshoppaaa

Uomo Casual Life is a fresh aromatic. The fragrance is imbued by a synthetic marine base—accented with a light brush of coffee underneath. Alongside this accent are noticeable touches of tonka, woods, and musk—I think they strive to provide a signature for this fragrance that helps it retain some relevancy to the original Uomo.

When this fragrance first came out, it was so incredibly overbearing. The synthetic presence was so heavy, you could only get a faint touch of the coffee underneath. Crushing vapor pressure—that could invoke the most immense headache imaginable. It was more like a fixative base on steroids that hadn't been blended over yet.

I've had my sample for two years now (since it first came out)—extracted from a full bottle and stored in a glass vial for safe keeping.

Revisiting this fragrance, I've noticed a dramatic change in the composition. The synthetic base has mellowed out intensely, and the qualities underneath it take a more well-rounded, well-presented presence in the formula. It feels more like a finished product you would expect to greet at the fragrance counter.

The sporty gourmand feel carries a fresh, youthful tone with it. Being heavily desensitized to the synthetics, I can't say that it's exactly wowing for me, but it certainly is respectable by my consideration. I think I could even give this an enjoyable wearing on one high-spirited, warm summer day.

sledgeharvy

So, after wearing this one for a while, this one gives me a bit of a Coty Aspen vibe, but way higher quality and depth. This gives that wonderful Coffee, Violet, Lemon, Cedarwood vibe. However, after that sits in, and your nose gets accustomed to it, you then get the Geranium/Cardamom in the mix which seem to give it a bit of a pine/fir accord. Right now being fall, it works perfectly in the 65-75°F range.

I've always been a huge fan of Aspen since I was about 13, (I'm 38 now, so a long time). However, as an adult, now that my nose has matured as well, Aspen has become a bit watered down & synthetic. So, now that this exists in my life and I've put it through its paces, I've come to realize this is the Aspen for me to wear as an adult. Which really appeals to me, as it brings sentimental & nostalgia value.

If you find it at a discount store, I absolutely recommend you give it a shot. Longevity is about 6-7 hours for me, which is good enough for me, as I generally like to wear a 2nd fragrance for the evening. So, all in all, this will be a cologne I will try to always own a back up bottle in my collection.

lespritz.1

I guess the cedar and violet leaf give off an aura of Zegna's Uomo, but this has its own character...kinda like as if you were eating celery in a coffee shop. Not bad, but wouldn't buy it again(got a 30ml that seems sufficient, like a big sample, LOL). Prefer the regular Uomo and the Signature to this I think...like not love....Casual Life denotes the nose's effort making this...in their sleep/with a cold, over half a cigarette. It's more zzz than Zegna.

Berschwinger

Initial spray is nice, but shortly after a huge wave of ambroxan really ruins this for me. The ambroxan turns my stomach in an unbearble way.

johnpatrickcastro35

Love the scent hate the performance they need a parfum version that's all I have to say I'm upset they dont make these scents last whoever is in charge of the ifa needs to step down and start giving us some scents that last longer for the love of God!!!

Shonjones64

I really enjoy this scent a little sweet but fresh, good projection 2 hrs, longevity is 6-7 hrs, safe good cologne, can’t go wrong with this at all

Rtiggs

This is a decent fragrance. It opens with a nice fresh citrus and dries down with a coffee violet gourmandish scent.

Presentation is very good, but longevity is the pits.

If you really get 7hrs, you must have the perfect skin combo for it as I get 4hrs tops.

I believe this is an Alberto Morillas creation, which is typical for him. Great scent with poor longevity. I guess that he can get away with it because everyone gives him scent God status.

arul-as

I expected more from this one, but it was nothing special for me.

This fragrance smells like citrus mixed with dry coffee beans. It stays also pretty lineair and does not develop into something else.

I hoped for a little bit of sweetness and more playfullness, but no sweetness at all. The fragrance is quite simple and has a more mature vibe (30+).

I respect the uniqueness and performance, but I recommend no blind buy for this.

moustafa.elboghdady

To me It is in the category of sweet freshies. Mainly I smell ambroxan and sweetness on top. Not my cup of tea because I don't like the ambroxan accord. Youthful, causal and pleasant smelling

Fragrance -Uomo Salvatore Ferragamo Casual Life
Bottle from - 2017

Casual Life opens on my skin with a fresh, unusual, ambery and lemony violet leaf enchanted with some kind of that original Uomo sweet magic laying on top of a pleasant musk.
As time goes by,he becomes more musky and woody with a nice touch of a bit comforting coffee.I can detect a hint of vanilla, but it's not listed in the notes.
Casual Life has some similarities to the original Uomo, but he took a different approach.I would say a fresher and more relaxed approach.

Longevity - 7/10(7+ hours)
Silage/Projection - 7/10(moderate projection and silage for the first 1-2 hours, than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent's evolution)
Weather - For more or less any time of year.Best in early autumn, spring and summer.I personally wouldn't wear this on a really cold winter days.

Main notes according to me -

Try before you buy.

BMarra

I had high hopes for this one but it kind of disappointed me. The opening is nice and I get the light coffee right away but it's fleeting and doesn't last very long. It quickly devolves into a generic Jil Sander smelling skin scent. Too bad.

aet

Nicely done flanker. The DNA of the original is there in the drydown, but the addition of citrus and violet leaf takes it in it's own direction. interesting very well blended. good longevity, moderate sillage

Smellwise

I have to add that after spending more time using this fragrance i now realise that its not the same as zara night pour homme 2.. maybe some similarity in the opening but after few minutes it goes in a different direction.. i do get the ambroxan and coffee note the most prominent.. its still not a strong fragrance but dont let it fool you that its gone.. it sticks to clothes quite some time.

JF Dufour

At the office, Casual Life is one of my most complimented fragrance. I am alway surprise how women love this fragrance.

Scent : citrusy and coffee.

Performance is good.

P.S. Other gem at work is Invictus Intense. It's insane, women love this fragrance too.

Smellwise

I just got my bottle today.. 1st impression was it smell familiar.. then i figured its zara night pour homme 2.. not exactly the same but very similar.. its an okey scent.. i need to wear it out a bit more to get how it actually perform. But as for now.. i can say its probably just moderate in all aspect.. not bad but theres always something much better out there..

hullhockey91

I look at the fragrance in two ways:

1) This is nothing new. It smells like a mildly-higher quality Aeropostale fragrance. Great for young men.

2) There's just something about this one that seems to separate itself from other boring freshies, but I can't put my nose what exactly it is.

It's hard to dislike the fragrance, but its also hard to love it since its been done over and over. I think it has just the right amount of musk in it. I hate overly mucky frags, so this does it for me.

I would say this is a sharp, almost-sour, light, airy, fresh fragrance.

Not bad, but certainly not exciting.

rushrocker

I like this fragrance. It is similar in style to that of Invictus Aqua. Sort of similar in smell as well. I don't really get the coffee unless I'm looking for it. And there's not much of that typical musk smell here either, which I'm pretty sensitive too.

What I get is a nice sweet scent that has it's own character. Pleasant, decent performance... definitely a winner. If you don't like the modern sweet trend going around right now found in Invictus Aqua, Coach Platinum, Dylan Blue, etc then you won't like this.

zenais86

watered perfum... good but you can't smell it after 10 min... waste of money.

Metolord

For me it’s invictus aqua by poorer performance...but more cheaper and same versatility

nicholassua

masterpiece from SF after their wonderful F pour Homme

Solid Scents

Fantastic fragrance, nice performance too. I am ok with this not being as popular as some of the other hyped frags because itll keep it a little less common. This is a unique fresh fragrance that doesnt really smell much like anything else. I wear this a lot.

Also, Whomever put AdG Absolu as a "smells like" frag needs to get their nose checked.

clross26

This is a good different, I really like how this one is, to have scents that don’t usually go together like coffee and violet. This is a well done mix that I will be buying in the near future and have it ready for next spring. I do believe this is more of a nice spring fragrance than summer. They did a good job on this one.

Scent 7/10

Edit, I had a decent of this and that projected for about 3 hours and then became a skin scent for the next 6 hours on me.

Projection 7/10
Sillage 6/10
Longevity 8/10

mkpunk

Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo Casual Life, I'm not sure what to say. On the one hand it is unique, a gourmand freshie. You spray this and you get notes that typically don't go together, lemon, violet leaf, coffee, cashmere and musk. Those are the common notes. These notes blend pretty good and the coffee isn't too over powering so maybe it is more cappuccino or tiramisu like the original Ferragamo Uomo.

The problem is on the other hand it is a mix of several fragrances. It is a flanker to the original Ferragamo Uomo, but Casual Life has some elements of other scents. It is a little bit in the realm of Zegna Uomo though not as aquatic. It has a very Burberry Touch violet heavy open, but it is more on the sweet side of things. I find it is similar to Invictus like fragrances but more specifically Azzaro Wanted due to the lemon. There is some Playboy VIP for men in it due to the fresh, light gourmand fragrance, though this is entirely better. I would slightly compare it to Versace Dylan Blue due to the light bit ambroxan mid.

Uomo Casual Life is very casual. It work in summer, it works in spring, it works for errands and work (if you want to respray.) I say this because it is light pleasant and a crowd pleaser. For now, ambroxan is a scent that is marketable. That said, it is not a great performer. I have to wonder if it is an EDC or if Ferragamo put forth a lesser EDT formulation. It projects for an hour or so but only lasts about three to four hours as a skin scent.

Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo Casual Life I feel works as a flanker to the original Uomo, but it is much weaker than it. Casual Life gets a 7.0 out of 10 for me. It is a letdown but I might be open for a trade but I know I would not get another bottle. Nothing really does me in it sadly.

Kenudigme

I don’t care what anyone here or on YouTube says.... this fragrance is so well done and perfect for when u need a good creative dumb reach.... I love it! I also love the original Uomo.

nicholassua

all of coffee & tiramisu
very distinctive fragrance, just like their F pour Homme
so in love <3

GRAF

This is another average generic scent with quite synthetic feeling, a blend with dominant violet leaf, ambroxan and lemon straight up my nose. At the background there is a mild musky coffee note which does not match with the rest ingredients imo. Performance is good moderate.

SmellsLikeAir

I just tried a sample of this and I find it distinctly average and without character. i guess you could call it "aquatic", but honestly, it smells soapy at best. Very one-dimensional as well. No noticeable change after some time. Yes, it is a fresh summer scent, but really doesn't stand out in my opinion.

Arsenal Till I Die

I sampled this the other day and have had a few days now to sus it out. It smelt familiar and I initially thought Invictus Aqua and it does resemble it to a degree because of the freshness and violet but this also heavily reminds me of Zegnas Florentine iris and PDM Galloway. They all share that fresh, musky violet so it is fairly unisex imo this is better than the PDM and Zegna and also a decent alternative to Invictus Aqua 2016 but not because they smell similar but because there in the same ball park as a sweeter, airy freshy. Once you get past the opening and it start to drydown and the coffee fades away your left with traces that resemble these fragrances I’ve mentioned. This is a really nice one for the warmer weather. Very decent from Uomo. They managed to create a non linear scent that has distinct phases quite well. If you want to try a pleasant fresh designer this is worth a shot because at the present moment there’s not a great deal of good ones in the designer realm in my opinion.

Angaribay85

Its a good scent, sweet and kinda aquatic. Not ground breaking but great for a high heat weather city like Phoenix. I wear this to work and get compliments. Really nice smell

Mark0

I haven't smelt this but it will serve a purpose for those wanting a fresh fragrance. If people would want something out of the ordinary, they would buy niche or do their research and hunt down lesser known designers, so, those people wanting more exciting fragrances more than likely wouldn't be actively hunting this out anyway.

All I ever see now is "boring" "nothing out of the ordinary". What do you expect from a lower to middle priced designer freshie ?

Back in the day, if a fragrance smelt good, then it smelt good, now with this eternal battle between designer and niche, people expect things from designer releases, they shouldn't really be expecting.

Fragrances such as these are relatively cheap, mass market appeal fragrances for a reason. They serve a purpose to those looking for something simple.

People really need to stop expecting miracles. If you want something wacky or original, go into niche, they cater for the bands of people looking for such fragrances.

mmcdonald36

If you're a middle class high school girl who's into hanging out at the mall and wearing too much makeup, you'll probably fall in love with a boy because he wears this. If you're anyone else, you'll probably smell it and think "meh."

jay_b95

Just like @ancientcoins0 said, it's very generic. If you are into collecting, then this will be on bottom of your list. It reminds me of those cheap fragrances that give you headache. I think that this will be the first fragrance that has to leave my collection.

Cassiano

Uomo Casual Life was launched in mid-2017 as the first flanker of Uomo cologne, launched in 2016. The concept behind the creation was to portray the dynamic life of modern and adventurous man, a true enthusiast.
Once again, the perfumers Alberto Morillas and Aurélien Guichard came together, repeating the collaboration of the original fragrance. And although some people do not see the similarity, I think there was a certain maintenance of the DNA, mainly by the use of the coffee note, which connects with the "sweet notes" that resulted in a smell of Tiramisù in the original fragrance.

Uomo Casual Life has conquered me since the first spray! It is the type of fragrance that combines freshness, elegance and a sweet and addictive touch. It makes me think of autumn and the changes in temperature that occur over the course of days. But what I like the most here is definitely the coffee note. I'm tired of testing fragrances that carry this note in the composition, but that seem not to exist in practice. The first time I wore it, I thought: "Finally, I can feel the coffee easily, even in a fragrance that is not essentially oriental or gourmand."

Uomo Casual Life is one of the few masculine perfumes I have ever tested and that can be fresh and gourmand at the same time. As soon as the fragrance touches the skin, comes a scent of a delicious cappuccino, as if prepared with a few drops of lemon along with the milk. This freshness camouflages the sweetness and opens the way for a delicious nuance of violets. However, the cardamom is very timid, just to let you know!

As time passes, the fragrance gains sweeter and ambery nuances thanks to ambroxan (a compound that has already become famous for trying to replace ambergris and is obtained from esclareol). From this stage, it loses strength (unfortunately) and begins to become silky. In my opinion, this is the part that deserved more attention. The notes that were used in the base help in the longevity of the fragrance, but are too soft and end the evolution of this cologne. Just a touch of labdanum or, perhaps, the same tonka beans from the original fragrance could bring a better result.

For Uomo Casual Life I have a tip: if lightly applied, the coffee will not be noticed with ease. It is worth exaggerating in sprays to feel what this scent has the best. It is one of those cases where, not always, less is more. The projection is low, but the lasting is very good.
The beautiful bottle repeats the visual identity of its predecessor, with the same heavy glass, built-in spray and 3D side logo, created by Lucio Venna.

To conclude, I dare say that Uomo Casual Life is the ideal product for those looking for freshness, but does not like the typically fresh fragrances. It is for the man who likes elegance, but does not give up a contemporary touch.

bberns22

Initial blast of sharp fruity goodness then drys down to warm cardamom / coffee scent. This is one of my favorites and my bottle is emptying quickly....

5/16/18: I think this is in my top 3. The mix of a sparking open and warm tiramisu dry down defines a happy existence

AndiJ10

Lovely scent. I agree with some here saying that it's linear and to my nose indeed it is. The opening is energetic kinda aquatic and citrusy with a touch of floral- herbal notes maybe due to violet and geranium. I don't get the coffee here, maybe some spicy sweetness at the drydown because of cedar. All in all it's better for spring/summer due to the freshness of it, both day and night. It might be a bit generic but it's a really pleasant scent. Compared with original Uomo they go on different sides, no similarities to me. Projection and sillage are decent

erha69

I think the original UOMO for night and the CASUAL LIFE for the day. Both have nice scent. The casual life reminds me of L'Homme Libre Yves Saint Laurent, may be due to the violet leaf note.

scentury

No testers available for this scent, so I took a leap and blind bought this one. All I can say is, if you are a fan of sweet, bright, fruity scents, this one will definitely be up your alley. In fact, I can see women wearing this. For the 20's crowd, IMO.
It's fairly linear, with citrus, violet leaf and soft musk hogging the stage from start to finish. Safe office and casual chores scent ( going to the grocery, the mall, walking the dog, doing carpentry, etc) 5/10

JF Dufour

I bought this eau de toilette yesterday.
I wore Casual life this morning at the office and i received two unsolicited compliments by two female coworkers.
The performance is good : longevity around 8 hours / projection is not loud, but the scent is easily perceptible.
Honestly, i don't see similarities with the original Uomo (which i have and love too).

Seattle Dweller

★★★ (3/ 5 stars) - could be unisex

Factor in recent price drops, versatility, and performance and this jumps to 4 out of 5 stars. One of my favorite recent acquisitions.

For violet leaf lovers. Sweet, musky, violet leaf lovers.

I feel that Casual Life shares more in common with Burberry Touch than Invictus / or Invictus aqua. Perhaps a dash of Zara 7.0.

This fragrance is powdery, ozonic, and my bottle is heavy on the violet leaf. Remove the pepper of Burberry Touch and add some sweetness of the original Ferragamo Uomo.... Plus a dash of freshness for summer wearings... And you have Casual Life. I only wish the coffee notes came through more.

For a fresh fragrance I'm getting above average performance. My last few wearings are topping 7 hours. More than enough for a work day.

Youtubers are giving it high marks and I am getting lots of compliments while wearing it. Might be backup bottle worthy to me.

Fraggie2100

putrid alcholic smell, a downgrade from the wonderful Ferragamo Uomo. I cant smell any dominant or distinct notes at all.

dmirror

It's exactly what the sample and card says it is casual life it's just a nice casual fragrance year rounder nothing amazing but it smells good because it smells similar to other popular fragrances it's a sweet fresh clean scent it's a likeable scent but I wouldn't pay full retail price for it I'd wait until it's on fragrancenet or perfumania to get the 30% to 50% off but for the time being I got 4 small samples of it

Houdini4

So fragrance flankers either go...1) Let's ramp up the originals ideas to 'eleventy stupid' (to quote Mark Kermode) and call it 'Intense' or 'Extreme' while actually squeezing the heart and soul out of the fragrance or effectively and inexplicably making it weaker! or....2) Let's give it fresher more aquatic type top notes or shoehorn in a modern fad from other popular releases (all of which are made by our parent company as well) diluting what made the original good.
This is the latter. Fresh opening and all very nice just like someone added a little generic crap to what was an interesting but ultimately flawed original. I kinda quite like that you can still smell the orignal DNA but I'll pass on this effort.

wesleyhclark

Boring and generic. Destined for a Ross store near you.

The sample I have has "For Adult Use Only" on the card - hahahaha!

Sam Peters

I have been saving my many thoughts on this one for last. It opens up completely like Uomo, the original. Sweet, sensual, almost feminine vibe. Very very invigorating opening, smells to me like lemon tea sweetened with florals, very very nice. The middle has a 'green' vibe to me, I guess it's the geranium. I don't get any coffee though, there's just some pretty tamed ambroxan (under room temperature) which when exposed to the hot sun becomes louder and gives off an acrid smell. I get some decent leather note in the drydown and hardly any woods. Depending on weather conditions, this might settle down differently, ranging anywhere from leather, to musk, and to plastic.
Nice casual scent with the best sprayer I've seen in any perfume
And beautiful juice too!! The light blue tint, damn! looks sophisticated when placed against a white background. The bottle looks classy too...I give Ferragamo a thumbs up for the presentation.

iconoclast

Despite missing the leather, I found that this one dries down to something very similar to Burberry Brit Rhythm for Men - in other words I love it and I got a few compliments too from friends when I tried my sample. However, I found the coffee note to be a rumour at best - I simply couldn't detect it. Performance is very good in all respects. A versatile year-round fragrance that I recommend unconditionally.

UPDATE: Deeply disappointed. I've changed my mind on this one. I've been using this scent extensively in Spring 2024 and frankly, I've found the performance exceedingly feeble in all respects. Despite smelling very good (if you can detect it), I can't recommend a scent that lasts 2 hours tops with next to no projection from the outset. I'm not sure what's happened since I first reviewed this, but I'm sure this scent used to have much better performance in the past. It could be that my scent has lost much of its potency during its 3 year storage, although it was unused and sealed in its box and kept in a cool place. I'll have to try it again in much warmer weather to see if that makes a difference.

Lockon

This smells like Thallium, Dior Homme Cologne 2013 mixed with a sweet coffee note.
It's really nice, but not worth retail. I only bought it, because I wanted it...and couldn't wait for the price to drop.
Awesome office scent, no one will be offended.

I know a lot of people didn't like the original Uomo...
Because of the sweet notes, along with everything else.
Then you should try this bad boy out.
Get a free sample from the nearest Salvatore Ferragamo boutique.
Yes, it has the DNA of the original, but it's not as sweet or dark.
The light version...ah yin and yang if you will.
Hope this helps.

I used six sprays...both wrist, back & front of my neck, chest, and front of my shirt.
Will I buy this again?...No, I don't see myself finishing this bottle. Like I did with Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo (two times over).

Should You Skipped It, Sample It First or Blind Buy It? Sample it (it smells like Uomo & Thallium Yves de Sistelle mix together).

Can you use it as a unisex scent?...Yes!

School4life

Bought this perfume recently and I already got a few compliments. The opening reminds me a little bit of Invictus but not as fresh. Not a crazy good fragrance but will continue using it in night out type of day, not a club fragrance tho.

davna

The opening reminds me with Zara Accord no.3, which has the same note of Abroxan and Violet leaf. But dries down totally different. Uomo FSCL gives a sweet coffe with spicy cedar, while Zara continues with sweet taste of white flower.

Wolf13

Casual scent. It doesn't have anything with Uomo. Uomo is a cherry with tiramisu, but this one has coffee and aftershave

enjinia

Pretty generic and strong synthetic scent on my skin. Left some oil on my skin where I sprayed it.

An autumn and spring scent, but you may be able to pull it off in summer because it does have that freshness about it.

I personally prefer the original because of the tiramisu/coffee. It's smoother too.

5/10 for scent
7/10 for sillage
7/10 for projection
8/10 for longevity

alabangcute

Bought this today and I got a ton of free samples. It's a better version of the original Uomo and does not smell like tiramisu! LOL

MikeL11

I always hope for the best with any fragrance release but unfortunately with this one it really, really disappoints. Very generic and dense synthetic smelling. I like Sauvage and Dylan blue etc.. but this stuff just doesn't do it correct at all. Too bad...

mahdi88

it really reminds me of Thallium Yves de Sistelle . but thallium is more sharp and intense and Uomo is more smooth and better blended . but smell-wise they are 90% similar with out a doubt . between these two i definitely go with thallium comparing the Price and Performance

Scent : 8/10
Sillage : 7/10

perfumelover87

I feel this is a totally different scent compared to the original due to the use of different florals, violet leaf and geranium and lemon. I dare say i like this over the original as it's far far too sweet for me

GripMe

Do not buy this. It's a boring and generic smell. The base is the same dull, butch cedar that you get from sooo many other fragrances. I sprayed my arm and it smelled as if I'd rubbed a magazine on myself. A product made to appeal to the masses...shame

darren.quinn

Finally got my nose on this one, reminds me of a mix of Ultra Zest and Allure Homme Sport.

Skin scent on me after 2/3 hours with average projection and longevity.

Worth a sniff if you come across, will definitely be in my summer rotation.

7/10

ahmad.joumblat

It will be from the best perfumes 2017

lovetribe

Excellent autumn and spring scent. Part citrus and then stops on sweet and amber notes. Very mysterious with great performances. But I do not like the coffee note otherwise I would give it a great vote.
