One of my favourite rose fragrances. I tried it first during a heat wave in the summer and I still associate it with really hot weather.
The bergamot opening is really crisp and sparkly. It's a young kind of rose that's just a tad bit jammy. Very feminine, happy, carefree but still sophisticated and classy. It's nothing new but still kinda unique.
The bottle really does the scent justice, it's a perfect match.

Mixed feelings about this one. It smells kind of mature in the way that I think a very mature woman would have this rose scented bar soap in her bathroom, but at the same time, it's bright? I don't think I'll personally wear this fragrance but it was at least well made.

vaninavanini

A perfume to remind us all that love always wins.

picklejuicebaby

The colour of the bottle perfectly represents this scent of this fragrance. A vibrant orange, happy and energizing. Your cheeks are tinged pink, your breath is hitching in your throat from excitement, and you take a chug from an energy drink while wearing a pair of Manolos. Just happiness in a bottle!

Izia by Sisley is a very bright and happy fragrance that makes me think of drinking a glass of freshly squeazed lemonade on a spring or summer afternoon in a garden filled with roses and peonies. It's for an intensely feminine and girly woman in her mid 20's who loves to go on bike rides in the park and have picnics by the lake.

This fragrance opens with a very strong, tart and zesty bergamot note that I'm not a fan of and kind of is my main gripe with this perfume. I also don't like thr old-fashioned soapiness of the aldehydes mixed with the spiciness of the pink pepper. It just makes me think of Fairy liquid dish soap.

Things take a turn for the better when the heart notes show up around half an hour later though, where I can smell a sun-drenched salmon pink rose drenched in sun shine and the very similarly scented peony. I would have preferred more rose and less peony though and I'd also have preferred it if the angelika wasn't in this to contribute its rooty and woody smell into this fragrance. The other notes in the heart I can't smell at all.

I then get to the base that rounds off this fragrance, but thankfully there isn't too much cedar making this perfume too woody smelling and the amount of musk in Izia is just right too. I could have done with less amber, though. I'm not the biggest fan of amber at all.

The sillage of Izia by Sisley was moderate on my skin and its longevity was crazy long, at 14 and a half to 15 hours! All in all, I liked this fragrance but it wasn't my absolute favorite. The bottle is super pretty though.

All of this is why I'm giving this particular offering by Sisley a 7 and a half out of 10.

Sisley is by far my favorite perfume company.
I wear the Soir d’Orient & Izia La Nuit regularly every September-January in the US northeast climate.
For some reason I never owned the original Izia until now. Perhaps in the store I was more impressed with the spicier “darker” ones and missed this gem.
I agree with reviews below- it’s pure sunshine and happiness upon spraying. It’s also the most sophisticated rose with great longevity for daytime wear. There isn’t a fragrance by Sisley I don’t like. But this is the daily scent I was looking for but didn’t realize it until now. Missing puzzle piece.

I love eau du soir and soir de lune so I thought I would at least appreciate the quality and ingredients in izia if I happen to not like the scent. But izia smells screechy on my skin for some reason quality or not. I am surprised to see that YSL Parisienne is not in one of the Remind me of section because izia and Parisienne smell alike to me and they share the same screechy-ness that I don’t enjoy. I like my rose lush and a little sweet or woody. I have izia la nuit and after trying izia i now accept that this particular offering from Sisley isn’t for me.

It's Sisley right guys?! So, quality here is definitely an undeniable aspect!

I'm astonished to realize that my collection at Maison Sisley only grows, and in such a natural way that I'm a little shocked, because Hermès is my Maison for life and I can't let our relationship be shaken (lol)! Sisley teases me!

Izia smells for days if you touch the clothes and no deep wash that removes its lush clean floral background. Do you know the tone of the bottle?! Yeah, all the feeling of these colors are experienced when using it. The day may have started 'badly', but applying this elixir, well-being and happiness will be immediate allies.

It is not a complex fragrance like some produced by the Maison, but even amidst its 'simplicity', there is such an admirable refinement of vivid flowers and sunny aldehydes in its evolution, capable of transporting you for several hours to a place of serenity and peace in spirit.

Slightly woody background and burned with the sap of freshly cut wood, therefore bringing a furry, velvety and highly comfortable bed for practically the whole day. Rarely will people be found who will not be pleased with this fragrance; conqueror to the extreme!

I spent years looking for the perfect rose scent. For me, this is it. In my home town, Szczecin / Stettin (Poland) there is this old rose garden with hundreds of roses - many colours, many shapes, many different fragrances. I love going there and bury my nose in the fragrant petals and picking my favourite smelling rose. Izia is like my favourites: orange roses and those crazy yellowy-pinky, gorgeous, big, baroque beauties that smell rosey, fruity, citrusy, not like your typical heady Turkish or Bulgarian roses (those are dark pink or even a bit purple in my experience). It seems right, as they supposedly based Izia on some sort of rose that grows in the gardens of Łańcut, Poland. You have to be a little bit crazy about roses to like Izia. And especially if you want to smell like a wet rose after the June rain - try this one.

Moonshine_Strawberries

I haven’t been brave enough to try this indoors much, but it’s a great scent for when you’re going to spend the day or night outside. It’s quite potent but so good. I’d highly recommend it as a wedding scent if you want everyone to notice how good you smell that day. It’s a feminine, confident, sexy beast.

aliora

Izia is a pretty fresh pink rose to be admired from afar. Up close, the blast of begamot is almost antiseptic. But give it some space and a bit of time, and it's beautiful. The key is to not smell it up close and certainly not within a 30min time frame after spraying it. I sprayed a bit on my BF's sleeve once and I could catch wafts of it despite a myriad of other fragrances I had sprayed on him earlier in the day. This is fresh, clean, and pretty, but it's also not overly generic. I get geranium more than rose at times. It's not a safe fragrance to buy blind in the way Chloe would be safe. There's a sharpness to this in the initial phase that people might find windex-ish, but give it some time and something alluring emerges that's unique enough from the myriad of other rose centric freshies on the market. She's a bit like this aloof beautiful girl who comes from a wealthy background that everyone finds intimidating, maybe a bit off-putting, but once you get to know her, she turns out to be a surprisingly sweet, gentle, and loyal friend who helps you stand up a little taller.

Edited to add that I obtained an older bottle recently where the bergamot was less intense. Obviously over time, the top notes escape the bottle. What's curious is that with less of the bergamot present, it doesn't quite have the same magic as a brand new bottle where there's an airy freshness to it.

I really like this!
Im anosmic to many perfumes, but not this one! My friend gave me her tester from scent bird. This reminds me of souvenir floral bouquet. It has that same tart or tangy rose that i love:) i really like it and may get a bottle if i can find a good deal.

Update: im back to say once again how much i love this, and i especially love it for hot days. It is clear and refreshing. It is sparkling and green. I do not find it screechy. I like the aldehydes in this i think it is done well. I love green notes maybe this is why i like it. If anything i would say it leans a smidge sour? But i kinda like that tart note. I would like to try others from sisley this resonates with me.
Update 2: i just ordered a full bottle!

This smell feels like the coquette aesthetic. I‘m not really a fan of roses but i enjoy this perfume. I also have the body lotion and I really recommend to wear it with the BL. It reminds me of pink childrens toothpaste sometimes. It really adapts itself to your skin. I work with lots of brands including Sisley, their extraordinary skincare, makeup and fragrance and this is really their only perfume that I enjoy. I do like some of the perfumes from their new collection called „Les eaux rêvées“. It‘s a tiny bit expensive but still a lovely perfume.

KevinTheCarrot

It's a lovely perfume, but the longevity is extremely poor on me. The sillage is very disappointing and it sits on my clothes at skin scent level. It's not something I'd call mature, but it has old money vibes. The notes are very well blended and I mostly get florals, with some sort of light champagne.

Despite how lovely the perfume is, it's not worth the money to me and I won't purchase it again.

erin8218

VERY sour!! still a gorgeous elegant citrus but is intensely sour at the start. I like to pair this with Rosewater Mist by PINK or Crushed Petals by Victoria's Secret.

sarazil

a friend of mine smelled this and the first thing she said was ”this smells expensive!” and that’s exactly what this scent smells like. it’s expensive, it’s fresh, it’s botanic with the roses, it’s slightly sweet and clean/soapy. i haven’t smelled anything like this before. i can’t wait for spring to come so i can wear this.

edit: quite bad sillage and performance though.. :(((

Mroger848

This perfume is high quality but I’m not a fan of the scent .. it has the old school Ajax smell that doesn’t go away. I think it’s the bergamot.. it’s a lemon bomb to my nose.. the quality is how crisp the lemon scent is and it’s longevity.. I wish I could find a perfume I could love that would have that type of sillage and longevity. I got this sample from scent bird.. I doubt I ever spray it on my skin ever again.. it was difficult to wash off.

banjerine

If you want to feel like you’re the village milf sipping a lemon Perrier in some old rose-choked stone courtyard in the middle of June, wear this. Fizzy, airy, soapy, and chic.

annasarahr121

Oh dear, I thought I'd like this, because I typically love rose perfumes and strong scents. But something in the combination of strong rose + musk makes Izia smells like bathroom cleanser to me. It is somewhat reminiscent of Chloe, another rose-centered perfume that I don't like, that similarly smells like bathroom cleanser. I'll stick with gorgeous Eau du Soir and Soir de Lune, thank you!

delrey

on paper this smelled like apple juice to me. on my skin it smells very fruity with a tad bit of that apple juice smell and rose. it's a quite mature scent, for a woman in her 35s+. i really like this but as im quite young, I don't think this scent fits me :)

Scents of a woman

This perfume has been my signature scent for about 4-5 years now. It’s beautiful. If you remember Stella you’d probably enjoy this. I think it has a similar feel to Peonia Nobile by ADP as well. The florals are bright and then there’s the zingy green and zesty citrus notes that just pop and add a bright burst. Clean, classic not precious or fussy. I am still blown away by this fragrance and will return to it time and time again. You cannot find fault with it you just simply cannot. I always seek out new frags and find myself coming back to this profile. Without a doubt my top five for life.

tuubish55

One sentence: I love it georgiously!!! :)

RandomPatterned

It does open up sort of juicy and sparkly but evolves into something like a super rosy version of Jessica McClintock layered over an iteration of a Chanel No 5 sans vanilla. It retains some spice which nicely supports the prominent florals but for me it is lacking warmth. I guess I'm not fully sensing the amber and wood notes. It's definitely feminine. It's not one I would reach for as it seems very occasion specific and I'm not dressed up often or girly enough in general to wear it frequently. For lack of a better, or more contemporary description, I can picture someone attired in a lace or chiffon dress at a fancy brunch, tea party or bridal shower wearing this.

madamefelissa

Simply the most feminine, loveliest floral I've encountered in a long time. Comes out of the gate with that exuberant splash of bergamot, aldehydes, and pink pepper, then the floral comes on, in a heavenly cloud, with the underlying amber lending it more and more warmth. I would liken it to a beautiful day in a garden in a warm zone: Citrus in the trees, and fragrant grasses, and as the sun warms things up, the flowers begin to do their dance of fragrant attraction for the bees and butterflies. As afternoon comes on, the amber becomes stronger and stronger until it's almost time for the sun to set. That's when you can go in, take a leisurely bath, and spritz yourself with Izia la Nuit!

Really long lasting on my skin. I'm always looking for long lasting floral beasts, and these days they are few and far between. This one warms the cockles of my little pink heart.

Comicalcupcake

I have tried a few times to wear this and it feels like it just sits on top of me and never really integrates into my skin. It's too dusty and dry for my taste, and started to make me think maybe I don't love a rose note. But I have enjoyed other frags with a prominent rose note, such as Delina or Commodity Velvet. And I like the smell of an actual rose flower in a garden. So I guess I just don't like *this* rose, unfortunately.

uhtcearebecca

This is a quality scent but it's just not working for me. I tried Izia La Nuit first, but I thought the black currant and cardamom sat too heavily on the rose to fit my taste, so I moved on to Izia.

After reading reviews for Izia I was hoping for a fully-developed, fresh rose-floral with lighter qualities from the aldehydes and bergamot, but unfortunately this scent sits really heavy on me as well. When I wear it I just get a lot of sticky, resinous florals... I'm starting to think my skin doesn't do too well with amber, so maybe there's too much of that note for me to love this like I wanted to. Both fragrances are really fleshed out and have great longevity though!

A frilly rose in a fizzy champagne cocktail with a fuzzy mouthfeel. More gender-flexible than its packaging might suggest: I can imagine a Louis XV or Madame de Pompadour wearing Izia, but also perhaps a sporty, confident young man who wants a more interesting cologne-fresh type of scent. The sillage and projection are polite, mannerly. This bouquet is not sweet but not overly tart, not formal but not entirely deshabille, either. It's charming, without trying to seduce anybody. Chic in the sense of not needing to announce its expenses. Not my favorite rose and not the most innovative of rose compositions, but nice to have a full bottle of, if roses are an easy everyday choice for you--- though not at full retail price, in my opinion. The atomizer on the Sisley bottles are very nice; they disperse a visible, semi-opaque little cloud of superfine particles (not droplets that dampen your clothes), as if airbrushing you with flowers.

Raluko111

My review is for the body lotion called Izia Hubert Izabella d'Omano. I didn't like the perfume version, so I thought I wouldn't enjoy the body lotion, but man, was I wrong. The lotion agrees much better with my body chemistry, making the woody scent of cedar seem so intimate and soothing and seductive. The silage is incredible for a lotion, much better than some EDPs or perfumes. It lasts so well, that a silk robe I wore a few days ago still retains a good amount of that woody pine. That is not to say that this is screechy or strident: the lotion has a level of sophistication that I failed to get from the perfume. Perhaps this is the reason why the lotion is more expensive than the perfume? I don't know, but this is my date night after shower lotion.

MatheaR

Izia opens up beautifully with a sparkling, bright citrus. It’s sharp and cool, perfect for a summer day. The bergamot lingers for a surprisingly long time, but soon gives room for the rose. Aldehydes hide in between the other notes, lending an airy ambiance, rather than taking the front stage and becoming overwhelming as is usually the case. The rose is a true red rose, fresh and light, very modern. Despite this, it’s not green, and it’s most certainly not sweet or jammy. Just crisp and fresh, absolutely perfect. As someone else mentioned, this line does not have the characteristically snobbish scent, as most Sisley perfumes typically have. Don’t be fooled though - this scent will envelop you in true, glistening luxury.

While Izia has above average performance, there is nothing that truly grounds it. The musk, cedar wood, and amber are merely the final rays of a setting sun - which is disappointing. I wish they would have peeked through a bit more, warmed up the otherwise cool accords.
I will definitely come back to this perfume as the weather warms up, as I’m certain I’ll cave and fall completely in love with this beauty. I can’t wait.

meadow28

it's going to be a noticeable choice for me when the weather warms up and I want something different. Got a little vial from scent bird. Won't buy a full bottle.

ingeneuxo

-Nondescript rose scent with a hint of fruity notes.
-Juvenile, almost.
-Pales in comparison with Izia la Nuit. (-)

olganbo

Nice , fresh , feminine and modern ! Totally for spring and summer , and it's pretty strong with a good sillage ! It'a a really good perfume but I'm not a fan a little too generic for me :(

karinatfragrantica

Nice fresh rose, very strong on the bergamot. It does last quite well but does not project a lot. Elegant and polite. But for my taste the bergamot overpowers the rose too much, so my hunt for the perfect rose continues....

juliart

I love the smell - bright, energetic, but not at all rude. It’s shiny, rounded and beautiful, flowery, but not vulgar. Not sour, not too sweet. I imagine a young countess could wear something like this to a garden party. Or to an office. If only it wouldn’t fade so quick on me! I want something like this from a niche category, would appreciate an advice.

SuzScents

Izia is simply superb in every way!

The opening is blindingly bright, fresh bergamot and bubbly aldehydes. Careful! The lady's roses' have thorns, of course.

Izia eventually settles into cheerful, sparkling florals that hum and radiate. They cast a classy, clean, pale yellow/white aura around you.

Far drydown brings soft white musk and crisp woodsy notes. Izia was made for sunshine, blue skies and to perfume balmy breezes. She evokes those feelings on this gray and damp autumn day.

Longevity and sillage are stellar, of course.

bovogie

I find this to be the best of the best of my fresh scents. It’s pretty amazing actually. I prefer it over Chance Eau Fraiche & Chance Eau Tendre by Chanel, which are what I feel is in the same category/comparable to Izia. If you like fresh scents this is the ultimate one to have. Although, I adore Chloe edt, I don’t find it to be similar. Chloe has a definitive Rose scent that’s accompanied by freshness. This however is a bright & boldly fresh scent that’s not at all dominated by Rose. Angelica, peony & jasmine equally take a share at twisting the spotlight which evolves emboldened by each other & dancing magnificently together. It projects like crazy & lasts forever.

Katieo_827

IM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS 😍😍😍

I ordered a small sample along with quite a few others. I have been in search for my signature scent and I believe I have found it in this.

This is so unique and stunning. It's very fresh, clean, and feminine. The opening is a spicy peppery rose, with the most crisp realistic cedar I've ever smealt in a perfume. The combination is intoxicating realistic woods and flowers, the bergamot keeps this smelling so fresh as if you're breathing in a deep breath in the middle of a flower patch in the middle of the forest.

That's the best description I got. I love it so much I ordered a full size bottle even though it's pricey

strut

Incredible! First time I sampled it I didn't care about it because I don't care about roses, but then my mom got a sample of it and it was divine on her on a hot summer morning when I met her.
Beautiful fresh rose with bergamot and pepper kick, rich and exquisite composition, I immediately recognized it, also it was not hard as my mom wears only Sisley perfumes (and coco EDP).
This is so good on a hot weather, perfect summer citrusy rose. I got her a bottle for a present, and every time she wears it I'm extremely delighted.
And it is citrusy enough for me as a male to try it, I don't get the exclusively feminine vibe of me, I'm not saying that it is unisex but I would gladly wear this perfume.
But I won't get it so it won't get ruined for my mom, she likes that lady stuff would remain ladies stuff and she is so sensitive about smelling her perfumes from others..
Top notch

RainbowGirl

When I initially spray this fragrance, it smells very fresh and pretty, but then I lean in nose to skin. Whoa... this is a STRONG bergamot.

This is the sharpest, strongest, greenest, bergamot I have ever smelled in a fragrance. But... I did spray four sprays on one arm, so maybe if I used a lighter hand, it would be less sharp.

The scent aura, however, is beautiful and fresh. A beautiful fresh and green citrus. Perfect for a hot summer day. I just have to resist the urge to smell this nose to skin, until it settles more. So far, I smell zero rose. The bergamot is really powerful, so if it's in there, it's hidden behind the strong citrus.

I think you need to really like bergamot, to enjoy this fragrance. It is a strong bergamot for a long duration of the life of this fragrance. After a long period, I did smell a tiny hint of rose, in the scent aura around me, but it was still very green, very citrus, and very bergamot nose to skin. The rose just never really developed more than that, and I didn't get any of the other floral notes. I own several (too many) rose fragrances, and I would consider this more of a green citrus fragrance, with a hint of rose.

When I am next in a bright citrus green mood, I will try this with a lighter hand, to see if the rose shines, because the experience I just had, the rose was light, and then completely faded, until this was just bergamot again.

I feel this fragrance would smell amazing on a freshly showered man.

Heads up, Gents! This may be your next favorite fragrance, if you enjoy a fresh clean bergamot with a hint of rose.

aspirina

Intensive rose petal scent, with a significant amount of pink pepper, bergamot and tons of cedar. The cedar becomes dominant on my skin after a few minutes, then the rose takes the spotlight again. It feels very energetic and multilayered. Elegant, formal, but not too stiff. I would picture this scent on a 30-45 yo assertive female lawyer entering the court. She wears a very expensive suit and diamond earrings. She eats her opponent alive, then she goes home to take care of husband and kids. Very much full bottle worthy.

Perfume_madness

I love love love this fragrance!! I just have a travel spray but I am for sure getting a FULL BOTTLE!!!! Rosy, Fresh, yet smells tropical someone with peppery citrus!

jule9

Izia is a cold, soapy rose. A fresh and sophisticated one. Smells like pale-pink; after spraying, you are instantly hit with the tartness and coldness of aldehydes, the slight sweetness and lushness of rose. Develops into polite peppery floral. Opening is divine, but the scent does not last very long.

I see it in line with other ice-queen scents like No. 19 or 24 Fabourg. I do not mean that Izia is a similar scent to them, but rather that these scents seem to fit a particular type of person. Izia to me is for a self-confident young woman of considerable means. It smells like private school, carelessness, banquets.

Neckromancer

This is definitely a rose scent. It sort of smells like a cocktail with rosewater and grapefruit juice. Real grapefruit, bitterness and all, which I guess is accomplished by mixing the bergamot with angelica and aldehydes. At one point I thought I smelled ambroxan. It doesn't come across as woody to me, no DG Light Blue vibes. I don't get pepper either. This is a super fresh scent without being piercing. It's great for heat waves. I don't know why, but it makes me think of something I'd wear poolside at a Florida hotel before dusk.

Soozatska

I just received a purse spray in a swap from Jenalamode 🥰🥰 I looove this! The bergamot is strong in the beginning, and I agree very much with another reviewer that it reads as black tea with lemon, which is sooo delicious to my nose. Beneath that is a pretty straightforward rose scent, with musky-amber accents. It reminds me a bit of Stella, as well as the Chloe rose frag. The tea opening is just enchanting to me in a different way though! Love.

Edit: My sister tried this, and it smells EXACTLY like Stella on her-not a trace of the nice bergamot -black tea scent that I get Skin chemistry will just always keep you guessing.

I realized this also reminds me of Valentino Donna Rosa Verde. If you like this but want something slightly more affordable, DRV is a solid choice. It's greener for sure, but the slightly spicy, bergamot-tea-rose accord is in full effect with DRV.

Katerinad2020

Love this perfume, it's féminine, intense and it's mwmory lingers in your mind long after you smelled it. ❤❤❤❤

JolieSucre

This is very similar to Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose, minus the tartness. It has the same rose scent & aroma, but it's less juicy and not sweet at all. It's powdery, a good departure from the 'sticky' Sisley style that Soir de Lune has, for example. It's an elegant fragrance for the older generation - old fashioned in a way.
What I like about this is 1) the musk, which is rather husky than typically creamy (reminds me of Good Girl by Carolina Herrera), and 2) the sillage and staying power. This is a strong fragrance that will penetrate your coat and stay as a delicate veil for days on end. Not aggressive at all, it's quite pleasant precisely because the dry rose mixes very well with the 'sharp', fresh musk.
Can't say I'm crazy about it but I do appreciate the longevity of this fragrance. If i were to shell out €80 I would perhaps first do it for Soir de Lune, then for Midnight Rose, then for this one.
All in all, a nice fragrance.

kylexora

I'm glad I get myself a vial to try on this perfume. In short, I like it. However, it is not a masterpiece and I found it remind me of Ring My Bella by Benefit. judging by the notes, they share some notes such as roses, peony, musk, jasmine...so I guess that make it similar. I can describe Izia as floral fresh with some fruity hint. Roses and peony play dominant role here and for me, Izia give the same vibe of Ring My Bella which is pretty flirty side. I put on 3 spray and the scent stay close to skin. Quite low in projection, and not very long lasting. Maybe I need to spray more for better projection and staying power. For its price and master piece element, I don't plan to buy a bottle. There are plenty of perfume smells similar and some smells better. Hope it help you.

Oh Izia! What a beautiful perfume! Reminds me of Rose Nuit de Mai by L'Occitane en Provence being Sisley's less sweet and more spicy, could be her big sister. Izia, I wanT you in my collection.

emi

It starts with a strong burst of black tea with lemon, really strong. Rose is shy at the beggining but quickly becomes more and more distinctive during the development of the fragrance. It is practically tea-citrus-rose combo. Really, really nice but nothing groundbreaking or original. Nothing interesting considering the price it is sold for.

Chloe l'eau 2019 is very similar and less expensive.

kielo

Wow this is a really pretty and ligh, but still substantial and modern take on rose. Naturally sweet, dewy and refreshing rose perfume. This makes me feel really happy and uplifted. Citrus-rose-pepper-floral lovelyness.

monikaasiya

Izia smells like fresh cut roses-very light and feminine
and like a walk on the beach at sunset on a tropical island
inspiring happiness and uplifting
i really love it

I am surprised I haven't left a review about Izia, yet. I first tested it in the previous summer. While shopping some of my cosmetics I spotted the bottle staying alone on a stand separated from all other fragrances, of course got the bottle and spayed generously my wrist. I didn't know anything about Izia, nor I did know much about Sisley fragrances in general. I am not a straight Rose lover fragrance, but Izia was a love from first sniff. Pure heaven rose, where the Rose is interpreted in a completely new way from all other rose themed ones I have experienced. It is the rose which I would love to have in my collection. Today 24th May 2020, I came to its page here only because I wanted to see/or remind myself about the year of its release. It is 2017. Right, why I am writing all about it? Because, today I tested for first time Delina PDM. And what a surprise??? Both fragrances to me are so alike. Both fragrances have been released in 2017. Sprayed Delina and got absolutely the same aroma feelings as in Izia. Go and figure out. Anyway, both fragrances are fantastic and are in my want list, now.

Kots_Tanya

Izia is a beautiful fresh feminine citrusy rose. My only complain I wish it would last longer. I debated for a long time on buying full bottle and finally splurged. No regrets what’s so ever. My husband absolutely loves it. Definitely mess crowd pleasing. I don’t imagine anyone disliking this. Very Classy. Favorite freshy.

Allisonmsmith22

Starts with a big citrus opening but then turns into Delina by PDM. Very similar.

OMG this is AMAZING. (and it makes me talk like a girl apparently)

Honestly, don't think of me as a guy who wears female scents, I actually never do that (or did that before) nor do I really have much interest in female scents.

Having said that, I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with something that has Jasmine and Rose in it (Her two favourite flowers) and this one looked the most interesting of this type, simply based on reviews.

It arrived yesterday, and its one thing that I cant stop sniffing her, but I actually see myself wearing it. Even more so, as she said its a bit "too sharp and in the face" for her...so I was like give it back. NOW!!!:) Im a big fan of Cartier Declaration D'un Soir and this is right up in that alley. Really a beautiful, sharp, almost metallic rose, that has all the dynamism that most rose frags will not have.

Based on how we both love it as a frag, but she sort of find it too much, and I could just bath in it, I would say that it is not for the faint hearted...it seems (and smells) to me as a frag the requires a certain character. A loud, all-eyes-on-ME type (which my girlfriend, bless her heart, is not).

So yea, in short, Im taking it back, Its mine now. I wear it today just on my hand, but tomorrow I give it a full wear and I will 110% not care what others think:)

felipebizarria.1

Roses, peony, bright and beautiful aldehydes, jasmine and passion fruit, that is what I feel. A very elegant fragrance, it evokes happiness and nature.

Cons: There's a resemblance w/ Frederic Malle's Superstitious.

PNBP

a true authentic sharp rose scent - just my favorite.

Eugenia Olesen

As much as I dislike aldehydes, luckily, I do not feel them in Izia. Just a delicate rose, jasmine, peony and lily-of-the valley playing the game “Who is louder”. Rose is winning. Silage and longevity is acceptable. Pleasant tender smell.

agarobka

I simply adore that one. And only Izia is for me wearable among Sisley fragrances (although I do consider them beautiful too, they just don't want to work on my skin well)

As for Izia, this one does magic on me. The fragrance itself is sour/sweet mix of flowers and citrus, but on my skin comes up with just heavenly freshness. I've noticed that a key to achieve that effect is not to overuse them. Just few splashes, wrists and neck, are enough. And keep me smelling wonderful through the whole day.
Izia was a gift from my friend given to me just like 2 weeks ago, but I know it's gonna be my Summer 2019 fragrance.

Kuroshio

Sweet lemon icecream.

Joys of life

Somewhat sour, fresh, realistic rose. Not sugared. Great lasting power and strength for a rose fragrance. Also quite modern. I like it a lot. The bottle is supposed to represent a rose petal with a drop of dew, and changes color as the level of perfume changes from soft orange to soft pink.

lucifera

just tested this beauty, i love the floral freshness!
reminds me of something i had long ago..it's perfect. Now im going to get a sample and test the longtivity

EDIT: finally remembered wich one it reminds me of, les belles de ricci from nina ricci! i was so fond of it.
Still am. saving for a bottle izia

brumbarche

I get Lilly of the valley + peony + aldehydes ... and then comes the rose .... cold and fresh ... It is as floral as you might expect ... and then some more. Long lasting and with gorgeous feminine drydown ... it's what I imagine the Spring Goddess (if there were one) would announce herself with before she enters ... in a neon green baroque dress, surrounded by sunshine and humming birds, with a trail of long satin ribbons from her gorgeous tall 18th century wig, decorated with pink and white peonies and roses, hugging the biggest posy of Lilly of the valley ...

coucoupetite

I got a sample today. I didn’t expect anything. But It is suprising on the first sniff. However the scent is a little too harsh and chemical to me. It can be balanced softer. I like the overall floral mix of it. It reminds me also of the Balanciaga’s florabotanica. However Balanciaga is more elegant to me and more fresh.

raiza1990

I know a lot of people like it, but to me this is just a citrusy rose. Not bad, but nothing spectacular either. I tested it multiples times, to see if it would grown on me, but nope. A nice fresh flowery fragrance, but that's it.
Sillage and longevity are unremarkable.

Mona Lygre

This beautiful perfume was on my want list for a long time, because it smelled so very good on the paper..

But when I tested it on my skin it went blaaa.. So very sorry, because it is so wonderful :(

michellelp

A very sophisticated fragrance that opens with a sharp aldehydic note, though it dries a peppery citrus scent on my skin. I don't smell this often, which is why I fell in love with it immediately. If you can, please grab a bottle for your collection.

chinook

Izia smells sugary sweet with soft mild florals. I'm surprised that the lump of sugar is not in the notes pyramid. I didn't get any classic aldehyde, what I got was a hint of artificial harshness in the beginning, possibly from the pink pepper (pink pepper and I don't get along). Once the harshness mellows out, it just stays sugary sweet throughout the wear. I've smelled another perfume identical to Izia, but I cannot recall what it is. The dry down is pleasantly soft like a lullaby. Projection is moderate to heavy.

SailorV

I got a sample of Izia with a purchase and was quite surprised from the first spray. When I think of Sisley, I think of mature, vintage-y fragrances, but this is a fresh fragrance, grown-up but modern.

Rose is the main note, framed by bergamot and angelica. I really like the herbal angelica note here. I can also sense the aldehydes, that are sparkly and effervescent, not old-school and musty. For some reason I even imagined a grapefruit note to be there - maybe just because of the grapefruit-like coloring of the bottle. Anyways, this is a high quality smelling, fresh, tart, juicy interpretation of rose. Beautiful and intense, crisp and cool and great for warm days.
I'm not looking for fresh rose fragrance at the moment, but if I was, Izia would be a possible favorite.

souad1996

I really fall in love with this perfume .
it is floral/citrus perfume with amber base note

I smell gorgeous bergamot when I spray it first

then I notice beautiful rose note after 5 mins

after 1-2 hrs I notice soft amber note

what makes this fragrance so special to me is that you can smell each ingredient alone. you can smell rose notes, citrus notes and amber cedar notes blended perfectly together.

it is more citrus than aldehydic so don't expect Chanel No 5 vibes.

overall: 8/10

I highly recommend it if you want fresh citrus perfume for summer

Romantic rose perfume in the Sisley style! Sophisticated yet natural. Beautiful tea rose surrounded with citrus, powder, and spices that make it a complex, yet super easy to wear scent. Sillage and longevity both excellent. Very pretty and fresh.

Amandine Clerc-Marie, a prolific perfumer, also created Mugler's new scent Aura. Her style is modern, and Izia is one of her best IMHO. This is a great everyday perfume you can wear anytime and not get tired of it. So entirely likeable, that everyone I encounter when I wear it asks about my perfume. Plus I love the 'almost sachet-like' beauty that I smell all day under my clothes. This is a rose perfume with no thorns!

Bubbles1964

Just blind bought this based off the reviews I read on line and will edit once the weather turns warmer. So far I like it as I'm a citrus and a rose fan. Others have noted this has a modern vibe, but Izia has an authentic, old fashioned tea rose scent to me (I have them in my garden). Bergamot is blended well in the top and middle, sharing the stage with rose.

Uplifting and clean, yes. But I can't detect one of my favorite notes: Angelica. I do pick up the musk and woody base. This stays close to me, with no sillage and little projection, longevity is about 3.5-4 hours. Looking forward to wearing this in a few months.

mizdonnafrost

This is a tentative review, based on fairly limited experience with this fragrance.

I got a tiny sample of this at the local fragrance bar on January 21st. I was actually looking for something else entirely, and the first spray of this left me underwhelmed. But, I kept going back to it and eventually left the shop with samples of this, 24 Faubourg and Baccarat Rouge as well as test strips with all three sprayed on them.

I can still clearly smell Izia and 24 Faubourg today on the cardstock . I had been trying to decide what Izia reminded me of and had almost dismissed it when I realized that the opening reminded me too much of my usual shampoo. Not a bad scent, but not something I'd like spending $100 plus on.

Yesterday, I tried it anyway. My day off, didn't have to worry about choking anyone but me if it was too much. I spritzed a couple times and went about my business. Last evening, the BF informed me that I smelled really good. Asked if he was sure it wasn't my hair. He was most adamant that it was not and that it was really nice. That's about as sophisticated as he gets, but it does make me believe that I really can't smell myself part of the time and that I shouldn't write Izia off just yet.

It is 8pm and I put this on around 11am when I went to lunch. Now, I can clearly smell roses--beautiful, sweet summer roses--not too heavy, but just there. Lovely.

28th June 2018

I wore Izia to work today and my two female co-workers just stopped as soon as I walked in and were like "your perfume is awesome!" One could detect the citrus note, the other could not. Three light sprays from the tiny sample bottle. I went to work at 11am and I couldn't smell it on myself then, but caught faint whiffs a couple hours later. At 9pm when I left work, I walked out into the warm summer night in a faint cloud of heavy summer roses. I wish I could actually smell this as well as my co-workers can--I'd love to enjoy this scent all day, but it seems my nose doesn't work right. Still, it's great to know that my co-workers like it as much as I do. At 11pm, I'm still catching faint hints of rose, very soft and sweet. I may have to purchase this.

P.S. Both Izia and 24 Faubourg are still detectable in the cardstock from 21st January. How?

I work in a rose garden and am somewhat familiar with the different categories of scent in roses. As far as i know there are 4 (please correct me if i am wrong) namely:
1 Tea rose scent
2 myrrh rose scent
3 citrus rose scent
4 fruity rose scent

Izia is the most natural citrus rose scent i have come across. Most rose perfumes i have tried were too sour or synthetic to be fully enjoyed by someone so spoiled as me.
Perfectly blended with a very discrete woodsy base. Effortless French chic for the summertime. Not exactly a powerhouse but reasonable performance with 4 hours or so in cold weather(the last two close to the skin). Can not wait to try this one out in the summertime. The bottle is gorgeous: round bottle in sunset hues with heavy glass cap.

lunareclipse

On me it was citrusy dish soap for 45 min or so. Then when I've already written it off, it amazingly turned into a rose while the soap gets fainter and fainter. This happened both times I tried it. The rose reminds me of Stella or what I remember of it (I haven't smelled it in ages after using up a full bottle) but fresher. After that initial horrific dish soap stage, the feminine rose stays pretty to the end.

I got my small vial in the monthly subscription box directly from Sisley. And it just came out not too long ago so I guess low chance of getting a bad one.

Re: some reviews here. Nothing like Eau de Rhubarbe Ecarlate at all. If you're expecting a similar vibe, boy you'll be disappointed.

Edit: It is not what I want but I appreciate how pretty the rose stage is, and how long lasting given it's without heavy musk, vanilla, incense, spices. Just yellow and pink roses. Strong and fresh. Enveloped in a smooth background. I don't pick out individual notes except what I perceive as light musk.

AlrightStill

Izia is a nice citrussy rose that makes me smile. I am not a very cheeful person but I lean towards uplifting and citrussy fragrances to give me a boost when I need them. Izia is unique for me as the aldehydes and citrus are blended with a romantic yet somehow spicy/stinging rose and amber which both make the perfume feminine, youthful and mischievous. It's quite modern and trendy while affirming that it's different from the fruitchouli and sugar bombs that flood the market today. That's everything I wanted from a perfume and I'm very glad I found it.
Regarding the similarity with Hermès Eau de Rhubarbe, I get where it might come from but Izia is fresher, more feminine.
Edit : don't be too quick to judge the perfume if you try it during winter as it really blooms in warmer weather, it gets smoother, less sour.

Adina Galani

I so much wanted to like it, but it is just way too citrusy for my taste. It is not bad, but the whatever citrus fruits inn there, they are amplified to the point of leaving me with a literally lemon/grapefruit taste in my mouth, a taste which I don't particularly appreciate when combined with roses, the way it is made in this one. But again, de gustibus.... Not mine. Not bad though for those loving a citrus bomb.

Ohhellozippy

I want to counter a review here. It does not smell like Hermes Eau de Rhubarbe Ecarlate. I tried Izia on my left hand and Eau de Rhubarbe Ecarlate on my right hand and they are nothing alike. Izia is a fresh citrussy pink rose and Eau de Rhubarbe Ecarlate is fresh spicy berry. The Hermes one is sexier (probably because it's unisex?). Izia is fresher.
The only thing they have in common is good sillage and more than 6 hours longevity. My 2 cents.

LOSER

Citrus highness

Izia is very well blended citrus fragrance. It´s unusual for fragrances with rose note but to me it´s all about fresh citrus notes. I find citrus fragrances to be macsuline usually but not here. Izia is fresh and feminine as well. You can smell and feel the quality. I do love it.

Happyme2009

I really want this, if you have it for swap, let me know. It smells exactly like Hermes Rhubarbe (in the red bottle ) but stronger and longer lasting . Sour roses, Rhubarbe, aromatic citrus, refreshing and youthful. I tried it from a sample from a generous fragrantican and fell in love .

aconeyisland

Love citrus and love roses and this is a strange, fresh and bright combination of the two. It has a Demachy vibe somehow, that sparkling touch of his. I must say I quite like it. FB worthy.

muahah

When I sprayed it on my first through was that it smells like color of this bottle. It's like grapefruit with spicy background. Little bit floral, but it fast faded away. At some moments it's like spoiled old raspberry-strawberry-grapefruit drink. Reason why I wanted to try this was because there was mentioned roses, but at least I didn't sense any.

PseudoIntellectualXing

This is very fresh and mature, I think it is quite suitable for work environment. My boyfriend says it smells really nice; he has a great taste in perfume, so I guess this is definitely going on my wish list ;)

MixedTastes

I blind bought Izia on impulse recently and I am really enjoying it so far.

Strong blast of lemon and bergamot on first-spray which is refreshing for the warm weather, but wouldn't be a winner with me if this was the overall character of the fragrance.

It isn't.

It quickly develops in to a divine rose I haven't picked out in any other perfume and which I am completely in love with!

Its not rich velvety red rose or rosy essential oils, its the smell of pretty pink and yellow roses in the breeze on a sunny day.

A really lovely, unusual citrus-floral. Bravo Sisley!

EDIT: This is a lovely Spring/early Summer fragrance, but I wore it today on a cool Autumn day and the rose is lost. I just get very strong citrus notes. If you wore this on a cool day and didn't like it, I'd say definitely worth trying again on warmer days, when the rose is so much prominent and lovely - on me, anyway.

Twinkledp

From all the perfumes I've tested lately this really stands out in its uniqueness. The fragrance is quite unlike anything else I've smelled in the store or in my wardrobe. I kept thinking about it so much, I had to buy it in the end.

The pepper truly stands out for me in this. I can also detect the rose. It starts out rather refreshing and mellows down from there, although the sharp edge never quite disappears. I rather like the bottle too.

FragFrog

Too sweet and reminds me of BABY DOLL by YSL . Tried to like it , Sisley generally is too heavy for my nose. Rose is heady , truth be told I don't like rose oil .
Musk stands along and gives a cold vibe to the accord . The bottle is great .

KIKISIVA

I have this perfume and I'm so happy for the smell that I use it many times from coco mademoiselle thank is my lovely perfume.
It is one of the best perfumes!!!!!!!!

jeca

It is beautiful, and unusual fragrance. What I immediately pick up in its start was galbanum (although it was not listed), it was so obvious and straight like a stick inside a bouquet that I start wondering, how it could be that popular, it is not at all an easy fragrance.

It is as peculiar as its first Eau de Campagne, and Eau du Soir. The rose comes later and it is beautiful, very calm and very refreshing. The best is to smell it from others, just like two already mentioned fragrances. What smells soapy on the skin, transforms into a beautiful freshly cut rose stems.

Coucoucath

This is so beautiful... Fresh, happy, citrusy and very fizzy but not brutal opening. Then we have got a rose. Not red deep, dark, powdery rose. Feminine and delicate, happy rose. Thats the best I can describe it. For me its very different than most of the roses on the market. Its like a walk, in a sunny but windy garden. I think its perfect for spring. The flacon is stunning, not expected. I think the artist have done a good job with the flacon. I highly recommend trying it! It stays for up to 14h on me (tested) but of course it gets very close to the skin.

Mindenrosa

This is a luxurious take on the pinkest roses available at the market, the authentic feel of wild-roses in the bushes growing near the meadows. This kind of scent I have been looking for a long time. Izia is true to it selves and having an undeniable quality both the composition of the scent and also the design of the bottle. To me, it represents lean minimalism.

But. It’s quite heavy and sharp in a way that might start bothering me after a honeymoon with that new release. Also it’s a bit bothering to hear a brute-honest opinion of blind testing from a small, but bribable audience: “I can’t imagine who might be that person who would be brave enough to actually wearing this?”

Well, I am.

I have to say I find it very intriguing, regal and high standard perfume with impressive longevity, which is not that usual attribute in today's perfumery industry anymore. It’s costly, but still I bought the smallest bottle right after it was released, enjoying it but hardly ever find a right moment to wear it. It’s not a suitable scent to my working environment and another event; casual or festive ones, I tend to choose something else to wear – so, as my summary of it is that it’s a beautiful high-quality perfume from Sisley, worth to try, but it hasn’t found a stabile place in my collection. Yet.

pepperoniann

A new release from Sisley, and such a lovely unsweetened fruity floral it is. Truly a high-class perfume.

Izia opens with a burst of bergamot, pink pepper and fresh roses. I'm sure the aldehyde helps to give it a "sparkly" feeling. There's the unmistakable Sisley "vegetal" base that can be detected right away, but for now the watery fruits and florals take much greater presence. Soon the citruses die down, and the alluring smell of fresh rose mixed with "vegetal" note (angelica according to the pyramid?) dominates the olfactive scene. It is not mind-blowing, but what a joy this fresh rose brings to my nose and my long-lost interest in fruity florals perfumes! Just that I have to give it credits.

After a good 6-7 hours the remains of Izia is a very pleasant mandarin orange scent with sweet musk and amber. I'm really impressed with how the perfume is composed to not be cloying at all at any stages.

The SA I chatted with said this is the one new release she needs to have in her collection. I agree. Izia is truly quite special.

Last thing: I'm not sure what people are saying about the bottle. I find it much more interesting than the regular rectangular bottles all "exclusive" perfumes are bottled in. It looks and feels much better in person.

kl99

Wonderfull.

A perfume with character, temperament.

A real abundance of fresh "natural" rose, with unusual little light spices. Smell like a lemon raspberry marmelade. A concert in orange.

Delicious, could be good also for a man. Almost a cold scent. a bit 90s style.

Reminds me a lot Palais Jamais by Etro and Essence by Grigioperla.

The bottle is Tremendous.

HeavyBeatsUK

This didn't strike me as anything special. It was forgettable.

mylancome

A light Rose, Cedar, Musk perfume perfect for all year around and all ages. Office friendly too. People who used to Sisley previous heavy perfume might be disappointed with Izia.

What lies in it, is Sisley did an excellent job on the Basenotes, the true character of the perfume, after the evaporate of the alcohol.

Rose perfumes from other brands I encounter, the basenotes can turn out bitter or medicinal, or not rose at all, a totally different smell.

For Izia, you can smell roses all the way till the basenotes. This perfume doesn't cheat you, it's roses all way down.

Plus, the bottle is pretty, not ugly as some people describe it.

Update: I finally found the perfume that is the best to describe how I feel about Izia. It's Bvlgari Pour Femme. I know the Bvlgari is not rose, but it's that aura, the style. When I spitz Izia, the women that comes in my mind are the Ladies like Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Princess Rania of Jordan.

IsabelleTheNose

A rose in a cedar hedge: I am a fan of Eau du Soir by Sisley, but I find it now too strong. My favorite rose perfume is Rose de Grasse from Aerin. I got curious about this Izia due to the beautiful ad with the redhair model and the videos explaining the concept. The first sniff I got was cedar, not rose. The cedar reminded me of Terre d'Hermes. But after some time on the skin, the rose develops and it becomes quite addictive. After wearing it for one week, I decided to purchase the scent. It is really an unique rose.

Catty

Very good scent ...no doubt the sisley top quality is here!

A natural, crispy rose. I feel myself in a rose garden after the rain...very feminine, natural, "jolie" and very sisley, ´cause it has this French vintage touch, that makes this scent very charmant and special.

Izia is a very good suggestion for the upcoming spring!

Feli15

The most citrusy rose I have ever encountered. A blinding blast of bergamot and metallic aldehydes with a shy rose becoming more and more prominent. Juicy, raspberry sweetness of its petals is evident but it retains a soapy character throughout the composition making it modern vintage chic.

greenteacherie

I love roses so I like this, but I would love it more if the rose wasn't so overwhelmed by the fruity notes that do this loud soapy-creamy thing. I find this very girly and playful, but not really up to the high price tag. Like VC&A Oriens, this does not smell particularly expensive. Sillage is nice and not too over the top, longevity is verrry good. I wish the rose was allowed to do more of its thing.

Sxaninha

One of the best real fresh cut roses scent out there ! Try it if you like roses :)

LadyPilot

While the beginnig is fresh, airy, green and citrussy, the drydown is an ovewhelming, aldehydic/musky rose. The worst "rose note" I can think of. I DO LOVE ROSE! But this one is just too much... too musky, too aldedydic. These two notes ruin the whole thing, they take away all the beauty of the rose and freshness and youthfulness from the perfume... A single tiny blotter filled my wardrobe and half the corridor with this weird, old-fashioned aroma.
So yeah - the silage and longevity are great but otherwise it's not my cup of tea.

Arlene-Beatrix

Light citrus & rose scent. It is quite aldehydic, but there is also a green, subtly floral, musky wave. The base notes are really nice, too. If you like aldehydes in perfumes, try it. For me it's just too much of them.

orpailleur

I can't understand the buzz about the flacon in the earlier reviews of this parfume. Its roundness recalls the magnificent rose, and the sharp cut crystal-like handles protect it from falling on the floor, as the 100 ml bottle is quite heavy. Is it because the rose and the flacon come from Poland ... somewhat out of fashion ? Maybe its better for those who don't appreciate to pass their way, and leave this flagrance to those who like it, especially as in France some stores are already out of stock, and the D'Ornanos could be in trouble to insure enough Polish rose extract to keep production going.
StellarDiverFlynn's comment here is an excellent review: this is a modern and very harmonious frag with a fabulous opening of well balanced bergamot and aldehydes. The musc-covered rose appears progressively under the control of angelica, amplifies for many hours without imposing itself like it does in Guerlain's Nahema. The rose remains for 10-12 hours, discretely evolving into a superbe skin scent, modulated by amber and white floral notes. In La Rose des Vents, Vuitton needs 3 different roses (May, Turkish, and Grasse) to obtain a similar effect with muscs and Cedar, but also fruity gourmand notes which are unnecessary here, so majestic is the rose used by Sisley. It doesn't need flashy clothes and shines almost all by itself.
A truly great frag !

Saxurka

yesterday i bought this perfume and all day i spend to recognize which my old one was so same with this. Yes, i found, if you can get absolutely the same for the cheaper get Cacharel Promesse. the are the same. you can compare notes here, you'll see.

dzingunyte

very fresh pink rose, like dew drops on the rose petals... lasting power is weak though...but all in all nice and inoffensive scent.

Valerie K

JUST WONDERFUL!!!!!! THE best rose I've smelled in a very long time. Sampled it last night at Bloomingdales, a few feet away from a display for Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb. VR's FB is pretty... Sisley's Izia, however, will blow you away!!!!

StellaDiverFlynn

On my skin, Sisley Izia opens with a fierce burst bergamot and clean, sharp aldehyde. The combined effect has a bit of lemon-flavoured, fizzy, green, soapy water on steroids, which more or less reminds me of the green, aldehydic opening of Eau du Soir. But since Izia lacks the mossy undertone of Eau du Soir, it's brighter, more transparent and more modern.

10 minutes in, the rose starts to bloom under the glassy aldehyde. At first, it's a wispy, limpid pink rose, largely overshadowed by soapy aldehyde and white musk. I wasn't too keen on this kind of clean, almost laundry rose, but luckily, the angelica provides the necessary herbal counterbalance to anchor it.

Izia remains as this white musk-covered, frail pink rose about 1 hour. From then on, it improves as the rose starts to turning red and even a bit wine-like, the clean white musk is replaced by a subtle patchouli undertone and the aldehyde dissipates almost entirely. Izia is now a plush chypre rose, albeit a very gentle, tame one. If Soir de Lune speaks loudly and firmly, Izia murmurs and whispers.

Izia has a close sillage and lasts at least 8 hours on my skin.

Despite my personal struggle with soapy aldehyde and clean musky rose, the velvety rose dry down is quite refined and lovely, and I find Izia a solid offering in today's market. I personally interpret the aldehyde opening and the low-key chypre rose dry down as a nod to Eau du Soir and Soir du Lune respectively, and Izia manages to repackage them within a modern context. If you are interested in a fresh rose, but with a bit more defining character, Izia might worth a try.

I expected kind of a classy scent, a Sisley, but this is a smooth, fresh and almost creamy perfume..the bergamot gives it that fresh bright start, then the rose opens up, but not in a sharp way, it is a warm soft rose undertone, then the amber takes over, I truly like it, I detect very little aldehydes, this is like a fresh aromatic floral to my nose, I love it, as I found the other Sisley creations a bit too much on the heavy classy side...Izria is feminine, sunny, fresh and uplifting...it has a clean aura in a way...I have a sample thanks to Maen, but cannot comment on the bottle..although i read it was designed by a polish sculptor to represent two sand pebbles smoothed by the ocean waves over time..I will surely purchase it...Sisley did a great job mixing fresh and smooth notes on a floral base...it reminds me a bit of Eau Tropicale which I loved, in the fresh springlike vibe...very wearable, very pretty! Longevity is fine.

Just got new Izia!!!, I am very happy to have it!!. Is a sooo beautiful scent, womanly, floral with a soft amber base.
Starts with a really bergamot explosion, but not too acid, aldehydes are there as well. The floral heart wich is the most prominent from the fragrance, is balanced with the top notes and the angelica, so never gets powdery or too floral, is a bitter floral ending in an amber base, moderate amber....
In all, makes a very feminine scent, elegant, classy being contemporany. Different from what they had launch, but very Sisley.
Doesn't follow trendy or massive tastes, is unique!!.
Bottle is way better in person, has a coral undertone that makes it pretty.

Izia will surely be good because Sisley takes time to create original perfumes.
Nevertheless, the bottle makes me think of an ugly massmarket bottle by Avon or Revlon. Let's hope it will be better IRL than in photo.

Well if we have to discuss only about the fragrance I suggest to the owners of the site to show off a fragrance only when the perfume itself is on the market, under the nose of everyone.
As a perfume concept is made also of design of the bottle, the name, and other choices, I think is fair, until the scent is not sniffable, discuss about this surround.
So I don't think is honest cancel opinions of people about the look of a fragrance. We know this comments will be outclassed by other comments that will end up in the bottom of the list anyway when the scent will actually be in the shops and the notes of the fragrance and its composition will be more appropriately commented. We also knows that there is another space and article which talk about this new launching of Sisley. But in a few day will be invisible. This space will remain.
Pepole here (deleted comments) said this bottle look cheap like and Oriflame and Avon one, with a cup in plastic. Sombody says it look like something alien. I said it looks like an human cell , a bacteria, an amoeba. We do not like the bottle. So? Maisons have to be carefull with this aspect. It is fair they knows before. I also said that is an interesting mix this relaunch of floral aldehydes. Opinions. This is 2017. What is the matter? Are you not used with socials. This site lives of opinions and visitors who reads those.

TESTED NOW:

Wonderfull. Scent with character, temperament.
A real fresh natural rose, with unusual little light spices. Smell like a lemon raspberry marmelade.
Delicious, could be good also for a man. Almost a cold scent.
Reminds me a lot Palais Jamais by Etro and Essence by Grigioperla.

People concentrate in the juice! So disgusting personal opinions...no class.

gatsby

we hope less pepper and musk... and more rose and amber. The bottle is a mistake in my opinion, looks cheap, made in the lack of inspiration.

COSMICSCENTS

Weird bottle, it looks like there is an alien eye, and the cap is probably plastic, but yet they are most likely going to charge 200 dollars for it. They haven't made anything I like yet, to me all their fragrances smell like men's cologne but who knows, maybe this one is different-

antonpan

The bottle looks as a bottle of Oriflame or Avon.

Great news... and the notes are interesting a floral aldehydes, great, 20s 80s classic.
But what would be this bottle? An amoeba? it looks like a single-celled organism. Those cells drawns you find into a school book. Bacterium..
Silhouette of a fat woman in her 70 years old.
