Used to be my signature scent, still love it. However, I feel like the body spray is more long lasting somehow? Beautiful scent though. Very popular with men.

judearose123

I have a huge collection and I will never declutter this one. This was my very first big girl perfume and it will always have a place in my heart. I wore this when i worked with a predominantly male warehouse and I had to stop wearing it because all the boys were raving about how delicious it smelled. It’s very nutty and sweet in the opening, with the powdery caramel & vanilla coming through in the drydown. I don’t get any of the florals at all, this is a gourmand lovers dream. It’s a very summery gourmand though, it isn’t thick or heavy, there’s a hint of something beachy in the drydown that I can’t put my finger on. The performance is very poor for the first few weeks, after it macerates it performs like an average perfume. I love it and it’s comforting to wear to bed after a long day of adult problems. 10/10.

armanid

my favorite summer scent /fall scent / really yearly scent ever. i bought too much of it so now i don’t purchase anymore but this is a love for life for me

xbittersweetx

Olor increíble, dulce con ese toque salado igual que su Body Mist. Es una lástima pero para ser un perfume y por su precio esperaba mayor duración.

Malibu

Before I became acquainted with the body spray & edp, I was expecting coconut milk to be a listed note in the ingredient list in the sunny Bum Bum fragrance; however it is actually a mix of pistachio & almond (on me the it is mostly almond), wrapped in a creamy vanilla and in the background I get a hint of something juicy - it reminds me of the guava in Believe. This beachy & bright blend lasts throughout the entire wear of Cheirosa '62. The salted caramel develops pretty early on and sandalwood things up a bit when it combines with the nutty & creamy blend - as the brand says, it's the same feel as walking into a cozy bakery crossed with a old fashioned sweet shop. The gentle bouquet of heliotrope, jasmine & orange blossom develop around the same time as the whisper of gauva pops back up.

The longwearing nutty vanilla & caramel combine seamlessly with the sandalwood. I'm reminded of perfumes I've owned with 'hot sand' accords; these solar accords, together with the smooth base of sweet creaminess & nuts, together with a teensy bit of salt, all combines to bring to mind images of laying on a beach covered in coconut suntan lotion, with the ocean breeze carrying the lingering floral notes.

I'm not going to lie; the decent 7/8 hour longevity and arms length aura isn't really that much better than the impressive power of the Sol De Janeiro body sprays - they seem really pricy for what kind of product they are at first glance, but they easily outlast quite a few perfumes. The individual scent notes in the edp are more defined, so the fragrance seems a bit different even though it has the same scent notes as the body spray, so there is some difference between the two formulas.

If you enjoy Yum [Kayali], then you will most likely enjoy this; the pistachio in Yum is less sweet, the fragrance is richer thanks to a splash of rum & has slightly more noticeable florals, so if you like florals & a 'green' bite then go for Yum, but if you prefer very subtle florals & less bite in, fragrances go for Cheirosa '62 first.

Sexy gourmand perfume. Very nutty salted caramel with vanilla.
However the longevity is horrible. I would have hoped, since it is an eau de parfum, that it would last longer. Well, it does perform better, walking in the streets on a hot summer day THE STREET smelled of the little spray I had on my wrist. However after 1h it is almost completely gone, except for the faint skin scent trace it left behind.
I would not mind if this was the body mist, but I think it is quite overpriced for the longevity, and I do not have the financial capacity to reapply every hour!!!
However the smell is to die for, really sexy sweet scent, IN THE FIRST HOUR.
I am really disappointed at the dry down. On skin it is non-existant but on the strip paper it becomes really bad, in my opinion. Turns into a bad yoghurt flavored with caramel/vanilla aroma. But becomes sharp at the same time ??? I don't know how to describe it but it is as if the notes separate themselves and turn bad all at the same time ?????
Anyway I wanted to like this, but I don't, and at least my wallet is happier :((

My review is kinda mixed but if I had to summarize:
- I absolutely love the scent. The pure scent is incredible. Makes me drool, it is edible but a sexy edible. I have a friend who wears the body mist everyday, the scent is a bit different, more light summary pistachio, and it is really nice. The problem is not in the notes, or in the pure scent itself.
- I don't know if it's the tropical climate in which I live, or if the tester has mysteriously gone bad, but the rest just disappoints me. How does this evolve from the most magnificent pretty summer gourmand scent into the yoghurt that has turned bad in your fridge ???? I don't understand maybe my nose is bad :((

HOWEVER the bottle is cute. Love how the light reflects on the cap as if it was a mini golden disco ball ✨

So, on paper it smells nutty. The pistachio is definitely there and it blends beautifully with the vanilla and the caramel. On my skin unfortunately there is no nuttiness which makes Cheirosa a straightforward vanilla fragrance. It's still pretty but not as interesting as I initially assumed. Not much else happening here besides sweet vanilla -thankfully not cloying- blended in a charming but sort of linear scent profile, synthetic but not cheap smelling, cozy, yummy and uplifting. I am generally not a vanilla fun but I do like this one and I know I will be wearing it quite often. Great for summer nights and spring days/evenings. Nothing sophisticated or complex but still an honest, feel good olfactory experience.

liquidangel

jasmine note is slightly more prominent in the edp than it is in the initial fragrance mist. you would never catch me wearing this outside the hours of 3 - 7pm unless i am located in south europe

xcarolina13

I knew the cheirosa 62 profile, but i thought they would make it a little more complex in the parfum version. this just feels like the body splash. the vanilla smells a bit cheap and the almond and pistachio notes are almost non existent. This could be a great gourmand but it just reads vanilla. I’ll try layering and see…

Tickado

I love this, I really do. It makes me feel a bit 'basic bitch' as it's SO popular in Australia right now. I hadn't used it for a couple months and sprayed it this morning, and yes I still love it. And on me at least, I can still smell it on myself a good 9hrs after spraying. Delicious, gourmand, pistachio delight!

Sweetpuffypuddin

This is super sweet scent, yet not overwhelming. Reminds me of cheerful summer day, when you’re wondering over the city with the ice cream that’s melting on your palm, you’re trying to clean yourself up and you can smell this sweet scent on your skin. Nothing too sticky tho, just pleasurable. I got multiple compliments on this one, seems like everyone loves it and can definitely smell it from some distance, some people at work told me that they can smell that I’m somewhere around, but not in the offensive way, it’s just a lovely scent.

mvtyldx

so i love 62 mist and i decided to buy this perfume for better longevity because everyone was saying it smelled the same or even better than mist. it was a blind buy for me and i’m not keeping this. at first it smells sweet (like carmel and vanilla) but when it dries down i can only smell sandalwood, it is spicy but not in feminine way. also i can’t imagine wearing this in summer (or even at all), more like in autumn or winter. so if you’re looking for 62 as a perfume then i wouldn’t recommend it :(

frag_nostalgia

Salty pistachio caramel sunshine + coconutty cherry vanilla. Highly lactonic in the opening, very little floral or woods; it's full frontal gourmand creme. Reminds me of sunscreen at the drydown.

babyblueheaven

vanilla & caramel, perfect for summer nights♡

Luilind

A salty vanilla cracker dipped in caramel sauce. Yum!

The scent opens with sweet and savoury nutty notes, which reminds me of the buttery malty roasted scent of Digestive Biscuits. I don’t get pistachio or almond per se.

Vanilla is sirupy like vanilla extract (not powder or vanilla pods) and caramel reminds me of Sundae caramel sauce.

Sweet scent, edible and delicious - not powdery at all. Florals are not prominent yet they’re present. First spray is quite intimate and doesn’t last long. Spraying same spot as the scent disappears, then it lasts a few hours.

MSita

The perfume has a stronger resemblance to the cream than the body mist. In fact, they share a synthetic scent, almost like plastic, which is also evident in the cream. However, it doesn't bother me much as I only notice it when I bring my nose close to my skin. Despite this, both products have good longevity.

Shannon_

I put off buying this perfume for over a year because I saw a lot of mixed reviews saying that this isn't as good as the mist or that it's more masculine. I'm NEVER going to let reviews sway me ever again!! This is incredible! It smells just like the mist except the longevity is way better, on my skin I get over 8+ hours and on clothes it lasts for days. I love this and I'm just sad I didn't buy it sooner.

headkace

This is very pretty, slightly warm, cozy, sweet fragrance. Unfortunately for me it just doesn't smell similar to the body spray or lotion/cream. I don't find myself reaching for this very often.

Marianna Lival

*review for stronger, re-formulated version*

I had the 62 body spray (which I love) and finally decided to buy the EDP after I heard it had been reformulated. I never took the plunge prior because the longevity of the former version was not worth the difference in price. The reformulated EDP is fantastic. If you're a gourmand lover and have a hard time finding true gourmand frags that are appropriate for the summer give this a try. It's warm without being nauseating and truly smells like the edible parts of a golden summer day. The longevity of the reformulation is long-lasting and the sillage is moderate, which I feel is necessary in the heat.

While the journey of the EDP is different than the body spray - all notes in the body spray emerge simultaneously during the 1-2 hours it lasts - this version emphasizes the top, middle, and base at different points because it is a true perfume. It's slightly different from the body spray as the longevity gives the fragrance time to settle more into the base notes (caramel, salt, vanilla, sandalwood). I also feel that the EDP is slightly nuttier at the top, but as someone that doesn't like almond-heavy fragrances I didn't mind. Definitely a summer staple in my collection.

2wn

I like the smell of SDJ's Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, so I tried this and... there's something that puts me off slightly. It's not quite identical to my nose. Cheirosa 62 smells a bit sunscreen-y, a bit like skin folds(??) It's not exactly musk or sweat, nor is it dirty, but there's just something that keeps it from tipping over into a like for me. Maybe salt? Not to worry, though, since Brazilian Bum Bum Cream's scent lasts forever on me and I don't mind that it's not as potent. My advice: skip the EDP and get the cream!

typeonegative333

I had initially purchased back in 2022 and it was genuinely one of the most exhilarating, divine nutty/tropical gourmand frags on the market (imo). The reformulation is a travesty - the dry down is more run-of-the-mill fruity floral. Quite disappointing …

pineapplepoptart

It smells better than the body spray. This is sexy

violetaura

***Apparently there's been a reformulation about a year ago, and the current version lasts longer, but smells a tad different and is leaning away from the '62 body mist.

I tried the reformulated current version of the EDP. I liked it a lot, but began to like it less over time. At first it's just like the body mist, but actually a bit more buttery, like a little bit of '71 was added, which i loved. But after about 15 minutes I noticed it started to smell quite sharp. I think the sharpness may be the sandalwood that they ramped up to make it last longer in the reformulation. I love sandalwood notes but it's actually not done well here. I end up smelling more like sharp dry wood than the lovely caramel and vanilla at the base, and it's not nice.
This sucks, because i had high hopes for this as my new summer hot humid day go-to. But I don't want to smell like sharp dry wood! It doesn't give beachy carefree vibes at all now. Its just summer beachside camping trip but all you can smell is the splintered firewood and it hurts your nose a bit. But does it last longer? Yes. Is the lasting smell nice? No.

Very glad I got a test sample from MECCA before buying this, assuming it was exactly like the body mist.

vanillashpice

OMG ! I don’t know why I waited so long to get this .. I’ve had the body mist concentration but this is like.. sex. Even if you think this is too edible to wear , the travel size is worth getting just to smell once in a while as a mood boost. This smells amazing it’s salted caramel and pistachio . I plan on wearing it personally. I love Viktor & Rolf Magic Salty Flower and this is the closest dupe to that I’ve found .. minus the oakmoss note in that one . And a lot sweeter . But this is bomb.

Lalalavelle

If buttered popcorn Jelly Belly was is scent, this is that scent, and I am here for it! Love!

vpace91

This smells like something that a cool, carefree woman who I would want to emulate would smell like. I'm gonna wear it this summer and become that woman!

SusannaM

SOL Cheirosa ’62 Eau de Parfum by Sol de Janeiro is the perfect year-round gourmand scent that can be layered with its iconic Sol de Janeiro sister products OR layered and paired with other "delicious" products (lotions, oils, fragrances, etc) for longevity and sillage.

anamawsity

A super yummy and nutty gourmand! It only lasts about an hour or less on me, so it’s more bang for your buck to just buy the cheaper body mists that last just as long (if not longer). In terms of perfumes listed as similar—
✔️ SDJ ‘62 body mist: similar but not as nutty, HOWEVER mixing it with the ‘71 body mist makes it nearly identical to the EDP
✔️ BBW Vacation Vibe: similar but not as nutty
❌ Al Rebah Choco Musk: has no nuttiness
❌ Ariana’s Cloud: quite floral on me and has no nuttiness
❌ Chabaud Lait de Biscuit: has no nuttiness
❌ Lattafa Yara: quite fruity
❌ Le Monde Gourmand Pistachio Brûlée: nowhere near as nutty
❌ SDJ Summer é Amor: quite floral and is missing the nuttiness

PLEASE AVOID MIIM.MIIC No. 32 Warm Gourmand “dupe”. It’s super spice-y and almost smells like a generic Christmas candle, and it has absolutely no nuttiness.

ninanicolina

Guilty pleasure - this is happiness in a bottle!

giuliamello

achei enjoativo e não me senti cheirosa! decepcionada

equatorium

comforting gourmand! like freshly baked cookies out of the oven. inoffensive.

sweetcherie23

My go to summer scent and once I put this on I literally can not stop smelling myself along with my bum bum cream omg this combo!!! If you have not tried this scent then just do it because it is impossible to dislike i promise..

RobynJoy

The summation of all the notes equals sweet tobacco to me. The body products of this i.e. body oil smell like a steamed sunshine tobacco rainbow..nostalgic of a time and place in the South full of humidity mixing with the sweet agriculture in the air.

konjacjellie

One of my favorite perfumes of all time scent wise, however, the longevity simply isn't there. it just smells so good to me though that i just keep rebuying lol

Nicolelodeon

I have no idea where these positive reviews come from. I am a gourmand lover and this doesn't smell like the body spray at all to me. I don't get any pistachio, any caramel... solely jasmine. That's it. I only smell jasmine and it's awful. Beyond that, the longevity is poor.

len0004

Honestly not worth it, i got the travel size to bring overseas cos i LOVED the body spray but i hated the parfum in comparison. It is VERY cloying and VERY overwhelming upon initial spray. Although the parfum is stronger and has more longevity, it is more salty and much less sweet. After using the parfum i couldn't stand the 62 mist but after a break and just using the mist i loved it again. The parfum dry down is actually quite nice in comparison to the harsh initial spray but overpriced for what it is, especially when the spray is cheaper.

Shanneene

This smells lovely, like the bum-bum cream. However, the lasting power of this is terrible. Also the silage is bad, people can’t tell that you’re even wearing perfume. It’s so overpriced for the lacklustre performance that it gives.

nomi00

Definitely better and deeper smelling than the mist but barely sticks longer on my clothes and skin. It smells the same except I get a deeper vanilla note on the perfume. Not sure if its worth the upgrade but i dont think you could go wrong with either tbh. i still love it a lot and will wear it year round hehe

itsheragain

trust me - someone I know bought this and didn't like it for its weak longevity at first. They gave it to me. After nearly 6 months, I sprayed this again and I'm blown away. The notes have gotten deeper, and sweeter and the longevity is way better! I'll have to try it again to give an accurate review of how many hours but I can still smell it on me.

chocoshelo

My all time favorite fragrance, the body mist ain’t got 💩 on the edp, it instantly uplifts your mood and transports you to a rainbow in the uppermost heavenly realm. The opening is fantastic, and the dry down is even better. The dry down smells kinda masculine to me too which I love. I’m single-handedly keeping these people in business lol. Whoever created these mix of notes is a genius. I think even God loves this smell. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it barely lasts :( and that i can’t get any work done from smelling myself 24/7.

Crys777

Could very well be my signature, just wish it lasted longer. I’ve seen some reviewers bashing it. One I saw said it smells cheap, etc. Well, on me, it smells like heaven.

Laralaritaaa

This is obviously much cuter than the body spray as it doesn't have that alcohol blast moment and it's a little bit more complex on my skin.
I'm not the biggest fan of this brand but this smells delicious on me. I detect mainly pistachio, almond and caramel. A tiny bit of Iris too. It is a bit salty indeed but that makes it very sexy and summer appropriate.
Longevity is good! I applied one spray 5 hours ago and it's still going strong! Despite being a summer scent by default, I will be cautious with application because this is SWEET and PROJECTS.
A perfect summer scent for gourmand girlies.
It's not groundbreaking as I smelled this scent before. It reminds me of Pepe Jeans for Her and Girl of Now from Ellie Saab, but I think this is prettier than those two. I'm digging it.

FlowerSeeker

Scrumptious nutty vanilla. The florals make a subtle show in the middle. Fun and sweet!

hannahbrooke

My everything!! xoxo

rayofthesun88

I get caramel, marshmallows, vanilla, a touch of nuttiness and wood, and also something very "pretty" under those notes. Like "pretty girl." That part was interesting and unexpected. Maybe it's the heliotrope.

I like it, it's nice.

Pistachio/nuttiness is something that must not register to my nose, because I find this to be comparable to Commodity Gold, a vanilla forward fragrance. I have not smelled all of the pistachio fragrances out there, just this one and Kay Ali (which has a weird Jell-o note to me).

Can I smell this?

I love the bum bum cream, so I sprung for a bottle. This is a fun sitting around, do nothing sort of fragrance. (Maybe lounging at the beach or a deck chair) I get the vanilla, almond and pistachio. Lasts a few hours.. You don't buy this to last. You buy this because it is fun to re-spray it, and get that flavorful blast of scent.

It lasts longer than the body spray, and not overly expensive. It is fun, and smells nice.

This would definitely not be a "date" fragrance for me

Bluetsprincess

Wow this perfume proved me wrong! Was ready to dismiss it as a basic summer gourmand. The nutty and woody notes really balance this and make it so comforting while being perfect for hot weather

Zethre

Caramel with digestive biscuits/ Graham crackers. Very slight artificial note. Pretty and inexpensive but poor sillage.
For a strong natural caramel note I prefer Dua Accidental Vanille

Obsidian100

Pistachio white chocolate fudge but floral and warm. Yummy but only for coconut fans. Reminded of Laura Mercier al.knd coconut

Adriannymm

This was my signature scent. I would wear it most days causing me to go through 5 bottles while I still had some I bought around the same time around 70% still full. My previous bottles were before the reformulation though. I was excited when I heard this was reformulated to last longer because I wished for better longevity. Now that I have the new formula and have used it im so disappointed. It smells like olive oil and it’s just not the same irresistible edible scent I previously wore. I still like it, but it’s definitely no longer going to be my signature scent.

Jezeleah

Gave this away to someone who loves the smell. To me it smells cheap. I love gourmands, but I can't think of a time I want to smell like this. I'm finding that I am just not a fan of coconut. I don't mind a milk note like in Lavandes Trianon, I love cream notes and creamy sandalwoods, but coconut is a tough note for me, especially in fragrances targeted towards summer/ tropical use.

rubycathryn

ULTRA sweet and VERY fun. Lasts for about an hour, but that is a very fun hour of pistachio cupcakes. I personally prefer the body spray, I think it's a little more salty / woody / interesting, but this is delightful for beach days when you want to smell uber-femme. Smells like the first day out in a new bathing suit, with a cocktail in hand (mini umbrella and cherry non-negotiable).

onebadbaby

I was so disappointed that this fragrance has such poor performance. It really doesn't have any staying power or projection. Even layered with the body cream, the lovely scent is gone quickly. On initial spray you get a biscuity nutty smell like almond and pistachio cookies, which is then replaced with a caramelised floral blast as it dries. After a short while you are left with a slightly salty vanilla skin scent before it disappears completely. It smells summery and sweet, but there are better fragrances with a similar vibe for summer out there that give better performance. I prefer Bronze Goddess by Estee' Lauder.

Esargee27

A much longer lasting version of the famous mist! Obsessed. Sweet caramelly vanilla goodness. Delicious!

Sej222

Bought this for myself as I have been thinking about purchasing it for months. It smells like summertime and reminds me of my trip to Aruba and drinking a frozen cocktail. I wish I purchased this sooner; lol. I can definitely smell the pistachio/almond notes. It’s little musky. It reminds me of a tropical vacation. Makes me happy wearing it.

I usually need to re-spray later in the afternoon. But this is just a wonderful scent and the bottle is one of my favorites!

bununby

I was OBSESSED when i first smelled this, so I purchased an 8 mL bottle. What hooked me was the pistachio note that I was able to pick up instantly.
Unfortunately, I got sick of it within a week. Glad I only purchased the small one.

creamyandlight

A coconutty pineapple sweet body spray scent. A nice vacation scent, but just not very interesting or sophisticated.

nebula13

This is a true gourmand, the salted caramel mixed the nutty notes is sooooooo good, I could eat this fragrance. Doesn't last as long as I'd like to but I can make it last for 5-6 hours if I spray it on my clothes.

PureCoconut

I must agree with Donnasentenza. To my surprise it smells off-putting due to some wierd note amongst delicious other notes. I couldn't pinpoint what could it be. After reading Donnasentenza's review I got it: a cheap male after shave is ruining the scent for me. I expected the stronger, longer lasting body spray scent but it's not the same unfortunately.
Body spray is pure delight. So I will stick to it.

kookooforcoconuts

So incredibly delicious and a realllly good pistachio note which is hard to nail

Bordo

It is truly lovely, you get a real deal - strong and potent, longlasting version of the original Sol de Janeiro mist. Same as mists, it really pack a punch and immediately after application, it can be overwhelming or even headache inducing (and I'm not someone to get headache from perfume). It is a bit too cloying for me on very hot days. But on milder days, it is a heaven. A smooth, well blended, mellow scent. It is like caramel, vanilla, even tropical fruits (really hard to describe the notes, sorry) are blended to perfection into a single, flowy melody. I'm not picking up much of Pistachio. It is not a gourmand you would it, but it is certainly a gourmand you want to wear.
Good longevity and sillage.

Pusteblumchen

Just got my hands on the EDP and it’s gorgeous.

I’ve been using the body spray for years and on me the EDP has excellent performance. Long projection and remains on my skin the whole day.

It’s a very straightforward scent with no unexpected development on dry down. It’s the same scent for begin to end. It’s only fresher while spraying but it settles down quickly and if you’re used to the body spray you’ll feel at home.

It performs best on my skin when I apply it after moisturizer. The bottle is heavy and pretty with a disco night feeling cap. Beautiful.

irlfireprincess

Smelled fantastic on the test strip but… on my skin, it smelled like bug spray for 10 minutes and then completely disappeared. And yes I sprayed the EDP version, not the body spray. However, the body spray smells exactly the same to me.

I figured out why Cheirosa 62 (both body spray and EDP) smell like bug spray to me - they both have an ingredient called hydroxycitronellal, which is derived from synthetic citronella!

style1015

In short: I recommend the body spray over the EDP as it will save you money and performs as well, if not better than the EDP.

Cheirosa 62 is Sol de Janeiro's now iconic flagship scent that their famous Bum Bum products were scented as. It's a lovely, tropical gourmand, perfect for those who love sweet scents and want something sweet that works for the summer. It's a delicious scent- nutty, warm and sweet. I love the salt note as well which gives that beach-y vibe.

I got the EDP since I love the scent and wanted it in a stronger formulation, but in reality the EDP has pretty weak performance so I find this to be a bit of a pointless purchase. Next time I'll just stick with the body spray.

Donnasentenza

Dear amazing Fragranticas out here!
Now summer is almost here and I just want to share my personal opinions if you are going in thougts over whether you should buy this perfume or whether you should buy the body mist.
I NEVER usually choose a body mist over an EdP, but in this particular case, I choose the body mist 100%!
Why am I choosing this then?
Love the scent of the mist and it actually lasts longer on the skin than the perfume! Then, in my opinion, the perfume has a crazy strong ofputting smell of cheap mens-aftershave in the middle of all the delicious scent notes! It is not in the mist.
So my advice is simply to choose the mist.
It's also cheaper, so it's just a win-win, I think.
Happy summer, folks!

katjashba

One spray on my wrist and at first the caramel is super sweet and strong. Then it fades a bit and mixes with the vanilla into a creamy, sweet, summery, beach babe scent. Yum. The opening is a bit too much for me, but after that, I like it.

hant_honey

I sprayed this in the shop and the moment it hit my clothes, it was gone. I don't get it. Is the scent weak? Or does the lasting power just suck? Couldn't smell what it was since it disappeared so quickly. Stick with the mist

Gruhlanska96

Best thing I've ever had! ❤️

Camille1977

I purchased this based on the multitude of online “influencers” raving about this “cult” fav. As my first sentence suggests, I was influenced to purchase the jet set pack…. Upon arrival I was so eager and excited to try what I thought would be a luscious, nutty, creamy delight, only to immediately say to myself upon application WTAF? I was so disappointed! It’s not worth the hype that’s for sure. It is a cloying, sweet and sickly scent, trying to be something it’s not. If you want to join the grown ups, I have and own Paco Rabanne XS, which in theory has a very similar composition, but is seriously way more sophisticated in its makeup. If you enjoy Sol Janiero, I’m sure you will absolutely fall in love with XS but definitely not the other way around.

consuelle

Salty scents are just my favorite. When layered with body mist and and moisturiser the longevity is pretty good. Love it

Karinag12

Loved the previous version but the new formulation is not good. The pistachio doesn’t last and it is replaced with a mildew-y scent, like something “turned” in the formula. It is such a bummer and I would no longer recommend.

mwisnes

I love this perfume and it actually lasts. (For me the body spray does not last that long on your skin, I tend to spray on my clothes instead.) The perfume is definitely a more sharper pronounced scent than the body spray. If you’re into gourmand scents and smelling caramel/nutty/vanilla you should give this a try! You also can’t be beat the price point for the bottle, only critique is I wished they made a 3.4 ounce bottle!

Autumn_Moon

I sampled the perfume/travel spray (not the body spray)... and I tried it twice, just to be sure.

The opening notes were everything I could have hoped for: Salted pistachios and almonds, warm caramel, a touch of vanilla. It smelled heavenly. I recognized (and *adored*) the pistachio opening. I wanted that pistachio note to last forever! Had I *not* followed my current protocol (sample, walk around for a few hours, and think about what you are smelling before you decide), I would have bought this on the spot!

Sadly, the pistachio note (which I adored!!!) lasted about 15 minutes. On my skin, I was left with a plasticky smell, and a strange mix of nutty, salted caramel.

On clothing, it was a different story; the plastic note was absent, but a coconut-caramel-salt-nutty vibe persisted for days. It smells amazing on fabric. On my skin... not so much. I'm not quite sure what to make of that. Perhaps I'll try the body spray, and see whether it differs from the perfume version...

melodyc

The body spray is def the better option. Upon initial spray, I’m getting coconut, plastic, and table salt. On me, it smells like table salt (not sea salt) straight up table salt. I don’t recommend. This is over priced $1 Store perfume. You’re getting a way better deal with the crush body spray both in cost and value.

Sauten

It is more sharp and less creamy than the body spray or cream. It smells beachy and bright but doesn't last long or project much. The bottle is quite beautiful

jg2758

To my intense surprise, '68 is by the same nose as Santal Carmin, one of my all-time favorites.

I really like this. It's warm, friendly, and charming. It's distinct as opposed to generic, and I could easily pick out out of a line up. However, I couldn't pick out a specific note without seeing a list. It's flirtatious rather than sexy, and friendly rather than cozy. This isn't someone who's looking for a one-night stand, but it is someone who'd be open to dating.

Specifically, it reminds me of eating macadamia nut cookies in Hawaii. There's no macadamia in the scent, but the *feeling* is right: vaguely tropical, but a nutty baked good rather than anythin fruity or floral.

Cinnabunn

Smells pretty good but with all the hype I was hoping to be blown away. Also this is the only perfume I have that I can spray a million times and barely smell it on myself.

Mareoftenebrae

Bought a mini size after smelling it at Sephora. Glad I got the mini size, because after wearing it just once, I got pretty tired of it. Smells incredibly sweet and delicious enough to eat, but after smelling it all day, I realized it wasn't for me.

Lykopa

Wow! What a scent! This is a wonderfully nutty caramel gourmand. It’s warm and beachy at the same time. Perfect for either summer or winter. The pistachio and almond are very present (which I love) but there is almost playdoh aspect when you smell it too hard. A very well made scent.

xokisha

I don’t like the new formula at all! It doesn’t smell like the original 62 perfume. There’s a sharp screechy note in this new version like Amanda stated below and i don’t like it. The new formula was supposed to make the fragrance last longer but it smells different. Try to get the original formula if you can because it’s much better and both versions have the same longevity so they lied when they said the new formula would last longer 🥴

Gellert77

Where I live, we have about five hours of daylight right now...:

This scent is a heaven-sent as it reminds me of summer but also as a gourmand works as a comforter bringing into mind every buttery, nutty, syrupy pastry you can think of.

Longevity is moderate, but I would compliment the body spray more of its great longevity than complain of the eau de perfume's modest performance. Granted, if you want to save your hard-earned pennies, you'll be just fine with the body spray.

Sillage is great for the first hour or so, after that you might want to respray if you like to make your presence known - and for the respray, the bottle is more practical for the purse than the bodyspray.

The bottle is a joy to behold, especially in this northern hemisphere January gloom.

Personally I'm glad they relaunched the eau de perfume.

DearAlexabell

Smells mostly like caramel to me, feminine.
Best on a young woman, not teenagers or mature women but I can see someone in their 20’s wearing this maybe 30. Not particularly the most complex scents, but it’s warm caramel, gourmand, kinda rich in scent & decently strong. Not a favorite but I can see others enjoying it. Bottle feels kinda fragile & thin, top doesn’t snuggly fit on. I find the price fair, this perfume imo is not particularly special tho I feel like I’ve smelt many things similar.

Alihannah1111

I love this as a perfume! I still think that it unfortunately doesn't last though. I find myself having to re spray several times a day. So, I actually found a fragrance oil dupe of this from "Fragrantbodyoilz" and it's amazing! I layer both the edp plus the oil version and that definitely helps it to last all day. Highly recommend!

Noelly88

I’m enjoying this scent. I’ve loved the lotion for years, and the perfume is quite similar to the smell of the lotion, especially in the initial sprays. Very gourmand and cozy. The dry down reminds me of Santal Vanille by the 7 virtues; you’re mostly only smelling sandalwood and vanilla. Not a bad thing, just not a lot of the caramel and pistachio that you get at the beginning. The longevity is fantastic and projection is pretty good. Myself and others around me will be getting whiffs of the dry down 7-8 hours after spraying. I bought this to layer with the lotion for cozy days at home and while I work ( I WFH).

lanasmellrey

I used to like it but rn its giving me playdoh. would not reach for this. definitely very youthful and girly. almost tooooo sweet

amanda0727

Decluttered this one as i found it similar to Elie Saab Girl of Now. Also this reformulated version has a sharp screechy note in the drydown that bothers me. Having the cream(smells a lot nicer) also makes this redundant.

Halcyon0409

I'm just copy/pasting my review of the body spray because my thoughts were the same:

It's fine. Nothing exciting. Far too vanilla forward and not much nuttiness or any of the other notes, so there's not much complexity. Pretty basic. If you wanna smell like sweet vanilla, go for it. Though if you want something more complex, sexy and beautiful, Ellie Saab Girl of Now is perfection if you want a sweet, nutty, vanilla scent.

BougieGirlShops

This is a fun flirty scent, and if you know the brand and it's Bum Bum cream, then you would know what to expect. It's probably the first fragrance where it is the perfect literal reflection of the notes pyramid. I can detect every note in the pyramid, and it smells exactly how you'd imagine it. Nutty, creamy, with a salty caramel and vanilla base. I find that when heliotrope/pistachio is to strong, it gives off an artificial plastic-y scent. I would have preferred the caramel/vanilla to be stronger and the nuts dialed down a bit.

YlangLover0912

I’ve got the body mist and this.
In the perfume , you will perceive the nutty accords with the creamy sandalwood, finally the floral notes are found in the base.

It stays close to skin.
Projection and longevity are fine…but they could be better with the cream and the oil.

It is expensive and worthy, the design of the bottle is beautiful and the box keeps it safe from sunlight and high temperatures.

blackcat02

I get a very strong apple smell from this? Is there not apple in this? A sweet caramel apple, but apple-y nonetheless. ???

Oliviaf11

So I own the body cream, body spray and this EDP. They are all the "same" scent but slightly different from each other. I love the cream, but I find the body spray smells a bit cheap (like most body sprays do). I really love the EDP. It's so yummy and warm and a more sophisticated version of the scent. I can't compare to the older version since I just have this new reformulation - I love it but after a few hours the sandalwood really comes through and I am really not a fan of sandalwood. If they used some other wood note it would be perfect, and if the top and middle notes lasted longer. I think it has an average performance - about 5-6 hours. I'm seeing a lot of complaints that it doesn't last at all but I believe it does, it's just that a lot of people become nose blind to it. Layering the cream with the EDP helps too!

Sorry_babyx

Bought this because im in love with the body spray and just need more longevity
After wearing it for two days theres a note i really dislike, like a strong sweaty smell
I don’t get that from the body spray at all so im not sure what the deal is, seems like all the reviews are so mixed too it’s bad optics if the brand is this inconsistent with the product they’re putting out but who knows what’s going on, maybe inflation lol
Anyway, ended up returning this and picking up another huge bottle of 68 instead, the only one thats a beast of lasting power and throw on me, if they start messing with that formula too -im out

isabelaflores

This is on the NEW FORMULATION.
I am EXTREMELYYY dissapointed with this. Every single review I saw on this version said it was super strong and long lasting, and when I got it today it was LIGHT. So light. Lighter than the mist. And WITH MY LAYERING ROUTINE this has a 3 hour wear MAX. Actually so sad. I hate how everything is NOT LASTING ON ME.
NEVERMIND. I woke up and still smelled this the next morning so it had a 14 hour wear?!? But it was very close to the skin, and this is still a light scent so thats sad still.

Kiwigoddess

Literally every fragrance I like is considered more suitable for winter. So with Cheirosa 62, I finally found one I like which can be worn during the warmer months. As I tend not to be very partial to gourmand type fragrances, this one I can get along with. I have the Bum Bum cream as well so I think using the two in conjunction with each other gives great projection and longevity. This fragrance has a gorgeous sweet (caramel), nutty and slightly salty aroma. I would advise getting a decant or trying Bum Bum cream first purely because in the midday heat, I could see this being quite cloying. In terms of price, I think it's overpriced and could be half the price. However, seeing as it is the only 'summer time' fragrance I have come across so far that I like, I will probably grab a full bottle.

Note: I have also rated this unisex because it is a gourmand fragrance so I think anyone who likes dessert type scents will more than likely love it.

Snt_Gulab

11/03/22 Not for me. Too sweet on my skin. Becomes cloying. I only like cardamom and pistachio cause it reminds me of Kashmiri kawah from the motherland. The EDP definitely protects and lasts though. Idk what everyone else is talking about lol. I think they get nose blind to it. It’s not tropical to be as much as an Arab sweet like baklawah. Probably why my Egyptian friend has this as her signature and it’s so nostalgic for her. But I have Tom Ford Noir Extreme in my top five rip-from-my-cold-dead-hands because it reminds me of my childhood dessert of kulfi. To each their own.

Jumana.shattel

Weak performance

Punkrockbebop

Alert: Sol de Janiero just reformulated this one to make it stronger smelling, and longer lasting. Intrigued, I bought the newer formulation, and while it is stronger, alas, this newer formula smells quite synthetic. It’s going back, and I’m hanging onto my much preferred older formulation. PS, the body spray is even worse. What a shame they can’t seem to get their sprays right. Stick to the bum bum cream.

likesleet

this is a much more calm, toned down version of the body spray. all the notes ares there, but this is less strong ironically. the body spray smells like a yankee candle in a slightly artifical way and this feels more grown up. it's def less fun though and again, the notes are less intesne so it may not be for the fans of this line, but it's more digestible to me. lost its projection within 3 hours

YlangLover0912

Fascinated.
The scent is warmth , a little bit floral.
Sweet, creamy ,nutty, salty , tropical.
A perfume I would use in a restaurant during the evening at the beach.
This perfume reminds me when the skin is tanned, with body bronzer and highlighter.

The price is high but the scent is addictive and delicious.

This version is my favourite , the body and hair mist smells like cheap sunscreen, with the ordinary tropical undertone).
It is a skin perfume , it needs to be applied with patience , otherwise it would be overwhelming and intrusive for the public who is sensitive to sweet fragrances.

Finally , this perfume has better quality , well- balanced , with more longevity and projection;Worth to collect for a gourmand perfume lover.

Gatorsrules

No longevity, way too sweet. Smells similar to the cream but not exact. Wish it didn’t dry immediately to salt.

Vicky456

I feel like I’m in the minority here when it comes to this perfume, I think getting it is worth it. It lasts and projects more than the body mist, I only like to use the mist on my hair because that’s where it only lasts the day for me. Also it’s kinda weird but the full bottle and travel spray smell like the cream exactly but in different ways, what I mean by that is that the cream smells more fresh and nutty in the warm weather for me and very caramel and vanilla heavy in the cold weather. The full size smells like when I wear the cream in the cold and the travel smells like when I wear it in the warm weather, kinda weird lol.

AlliCat1215

I love the scent but the perfume is weak and doesn’t last, therefore not worth the price. The body spray performs similarly and is therefore a better value.

East River Pearl

I really love the scent of the body mist version of this (Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist) which is nutty and caramelly and deliciously gourmand, and hoped that the eau de parfum would have the same scent but with greater longevity.

Unfortunately, the eau de parfum has an overwhelming saltiness to it that overpowers all of the other notes until it completely dries down. The dry down is nice--similar to the scent of the body mist and somewhat more intimate in terms of sillage but definitely greater longevity. But the initial smell is like salted peanuts or play-doh and makes applying it quite unpleasant. Disappointing!

Perfinder_

This smell just like Aveeno body oil!

jphsmellsgood

I do not the nutty notes, it reminds me of like bad petit fours. This is the only fragrance I don't like from Sol De Jaineiro lol.

Shaina87

This is a beautiful gourmand scent. Sweet, sticky caramel, pistachios and vanilla with a slight underlying jasmine! It's delicious. Only problem is the longevity. The brand gifted me the edp to review on instagram, otherwise I wouldn't have the full size bottle because I would not have purchased it. The body mist is just as good when it comes to the longevity. I usually like this as a bed time scent layered over the Bum Bum cream. It's cozy, warm and comforting to me. I'll always repurchase the cream and body mist. It's a no for the edp though.

ashley3456

Love it! For those trying to compare to the mist, I put two sprays of the mist on one arm and two sprays of the EDP on the other. They are extremely similar, although the pistachio note was stronger (and lasted longer) with the EDP. The pistachio quickly took a back seat with the mist. After three hours, I could still smell the EDP from about two to three inches from my arm and I could only smell the mist if I put my nose right up to the skin. Overall, not really happy with the longevity for either. If you're not here for the pistachio, I would say buy the mist and go crazy/reapply given the affordable price. Personally, the pistachio is my favorite note of this scent, so I will probably switch to the EDP if I can find a good deal.

Likilichi

If you can’t get your hands on Andromeda’s Moon’s version of Chierosa ‘62 then take Chierosa ‘62. Sure, Chierosa’62 is a warm, intoxicatingly beautiful concoction of almonds and sunshine but it’s sillage and longevity are shiza. Plus, personally speaking, I go nose blind to it. None of these are problems with Andromeda’s Moon’s version of this perfume.

supersiren

I have seen a lot of comments about sillage and longevity. I've been wearing Cheirosa 62 since 2018 when I first discovered it and I've found that I go nose blind to it. There have been several times that I thought I needed to reapply but was still receiving compliments on how I smell delectable from both men and women. The fragrance does end up a lot closer to my skin, but it gets very warm and woody after time on me. this is in my top 3 fragrances I own. I would love to try the Elie Saab girl of now, but I'm finding it's hard to get my hands on.

dancingdear

I should say I don’t really like gourmand scents but I got a free sample and tried it out on a hot day.
Do I like gourmand now? This is truly beautiful! The pistachio and almond smell heavenly mixed with the caramel. And salt! Salt is so important in heavy sweet fragrances because it gives a break from the sweet and makes the notes more dynamic. I could not stop smelling my arms and every whiff of this concoction was dreamy.
A few hours later as it became closer to the skin I smelled again but all the notes I loved were gone. No almond or pistachio. The dry down on me was just sweet Carmel. If you like that note maybe it will work for you but I found it cloyingly sweet.
Since the first hour of this scent is incredible I will finish the sample but probably try Ellie Saab to try and find a longer lasting pistachio scent.

Marie20707

I had this and I was majority disappointed by the lack of longevity and lack of staying power. The body spray lasts longer than the perfume, which you would think it would be the other way around. Save your money and buy the body soray it's cheaper, smells the same and lasts longer.

sweetlikecandie

I love everything about the cheirosa 62 line, but this was a major disappointment for me. The smell is nice don’t get me wrong, the lasting power on me is non existent. Even when layered with the cream the actual perfume still won’t last. I find the body mist has a better lasting power and quite frankly is much better value. I’ll use up my bottle but probably won’t repurchase unless they do some tweaking to help the longevity

rainydays

Went on a testing spree looking for a vanilla gourmand. This is delicious and so different from anything else I've ever tried! Upon application I get straight up almond cookies fresh from the oven. After a few minutes the salty note comes through and it's a bit reminiscent of play dough. Didn't love that, but thankfully the play dough note disappeared in another ten minutes and I was left with warm, beautiful salted caramel. Sillage was close to the skin and lasted about 5 hours on me so probably would require reapplication.

Elysiom

Oh my goodness- this isn't even close to my typical wheelhouse for scents but I specifically wanted to look outside the box and I am SO GLAD I did!

This is a tropical complex pina-colada gourmand fragrance from heaven. This is tropics, this is fresh fruit, this is sweet and salty unctuous deliciousness. That salted caramel at the end! Ugh.

It is also not in any way reminiscent of tanning lotion or sunscreen- I love that. This is beautiful. The opening is amazing, I'm loving the drydown as we speak- it is an unafraid scent that just is what it is. It is deep and a little dark at the end- like a dark amber/almond. This is summer holiday in a bottle.

Downside of course is that I can't imagine wearing this anywhere but the beach in summer- it's definitely specifically a daytime summer scent, but it is LOVELY. Drydown loses the fruity qualities and is reminiscent of Midnight Fleur by Nest- sweet dark almond.

FreeBeing

UPDATE - Unlike with other fragrances, this has not aged well. It's harsh and there is very little sweetness to it. Sad.

I have been dying to try this ever since I tried the Cheirosa '71 mist for hair & body. This perfume is close to that but only in the "tropical" vibe. This is not as caramelized or sweet on me as the '71 mist is. This goes on strong and had me wondering if it would have longevity. It does but it does fade down very quickly from the initial burst of hard & sugary flora-tropics. It almost immediately calms down to a quieter vanilla-powder-caramel with just the slightest hint of a bluish-floral scent that I can't place.

Do I like this? Very much so. I plan to occasionally pair it with the '71 mist just for fun.
Do I love this? I haven't decided but I'm leaning toward "Yes". It's a perfume that is closest to what I do love so much about the '71 mist; it's fairly affordable for my limping-toward-broke budget; it's longer-lasting than I dreamed it would be after reading a lot of reviews & I am getting at least 3 1/2 hours from a single spray at my throat, and it's not a complicated scent.

I do wish there was a perfume for the '71 as it's heavier on the caramel.

Adelamgarceo

If you liked the Cheirosa 62 body mist then you’ll love this, as it’s stronger and has longer staying power than the mist, with the same beautiful scent 😍

typeonegative333

How could anybody dislike this? A perfectly blended, salty and sweet unique gourmand. This opens with mainly caramel and vanilla, but once it dries down the almond, pistachio and sandalwood present themselves. Very versatile and not cloying. It projects well, but only lasts about 3 hours.. I don’t mind re-applying it though, this fragrance gives me life.

AutumnJewel

Note For Myself: Absolutely love the fragrance itself but longevity could of been better , I wore this a lot last summer & unfortunately it did not last more than 1.5 hours

Personally, I prefer the cream as is but paired with the mist is a great combo.

Would I repurchase? No . I’ll stick to their other delicious scented products!

boolprop

I wholly agree with the reviewer below me that the mist is quite a bit more floral than the EDP. I like the EDP more than the mist, but the mist does last longer and projects more in my opinion. The mist is sharp and the EDP is soft, enveloping.

This EDP is probably the closest thing to a "perfect" perfume for me; nutty, caramel (salted, not cloying candy floss 'caramel'), sunny, a touch of freshness somehow. And VEGAN/CF!! It's everything I ever wanted. I am obsessed with the scent itself. The only reason I bought the EDP was in a desperate bid to have a longer lasting fragrance after falling in love with the scent of the mist.

However.

The other reviews are correct; the longevity of this is unacceptably poor. Like truly nothing. 5 minutes, IF, and it's gone. At $78 for one ounce, that is a tragedy. Having already owned the mist, and then purchased the EDP despite the reviews, I then continued to act even MORE desperately and purchased the OG Bum Bum cream. I hoped if I layered quite literally *all three* together, at no small price, perhaps it would hold. No dice; gone in 10 minutes.

I am finally bailing on this line in general, having ultimately wasted $165 of my money and broken my heart. I wish I had never known this scent, because now I compare every caramel to it and nothing lives up. And yet this one itself is unusable. Better to have loved and lost, I suppose...

cemeteryfairy

mmm I love this so much, it’s nuttier and more expensive smelling than the mist (as it should be). The almond is also much more prominent and it translates to a sweet beautiful cherry scent. Imagine a cherry milkshake with whipped cream, gobs of caramel on top and crushed pistachio. I love it so much it’s so edible and delicious without smelling immature. I like the mist and the spray equally so if you’re on a budget the mist is fine but they do smell a little bit different but grab this one up if you’re into a more nutty rich smelling gourmand, the spray is a bit more floral. Also side note the sprayer for the edp is so wonderful it dispenses a perfect cloud of scent. The only thing is that it doesn’t last a super long time on me, but that’s not a problem because I always layer my scents with my bath products :) I can’t say enough good things about this fragrance. I absolutely adore it, it’s the ultimate beautiful girly caramel cupcake scent of my dreams 💕🎀🧁

alioth9.1

This is one of my favorite summer scents. It's sunny, pistachio aroma delights and is fullsome and rich. It is a delectable fragrance that fills the nose with nutty notes yet unfortunately does not last. Even the perfume is short lived and soon fades to skin scent. Still a happy, cheerful scent that will lift spirits on a dreary day.

juliahveding

Love this perfume, the salty caramel smell fits great on a warm summer day. I ordered the small one, but had to get the big one. One of my fav parfumes

ELR

I really love the scent of this. Especially because it is quite unique in being such a warm, delicious summertime gourmand as opposed to the usual freshies. You get the nuttiness with a light floral background and and the deep sweetness at the base all while retaining a beachy quality, I think from the saltiness.
BUT it doesn't last on me at all! I don't mind skin scents or having to reapply fragrances but I truly cannot smell this on skin or clothes within an hour and I am an oversprayer. I will have to test it a bit more but as of now the longevity just does not make it full bottle worthy what so ever.

jeannebelmondo

Oh wow. This is the most nutty and salty beach fragrance I've ever tried. The pistachio in this is so realistic and fatty and the salt note... actually smells like salt instead of being a vague and subtle aromatic note. This is the most rich, fatty and savory pistachio, almond and vanilla cookie I've ever tried.

For about 15 minutes. And then it's your typical Bobbi Brown Beach sunscreen coconut vanilla, which like, nice but uninspired. And by then it's a skin scent too. You really get some low projection and longevity with this once it mellows down.

As for Urban Outfitters' Pistachio Brulée as a dupe, not so much. That's a very sweet, creamy and predictable pistachio, whereas this is really rich, savory, fatty and nutty, at least in its opening. The dry down is a little sweeter and more milky and more in line with Pistachio Brulée, but nothing replicates the richness and depth of this opening.

If only it could smell like that opening forever... everything that comes 15 minutes after is lovely but you'll have seen it before already for sure. What a bummer. Still rating this as a love just because that opening swept my feet away.

jmarie92

WOW! This is probably THE most edible fragrance I’ve ever owned. It’s like creamy, melting pistachio ice cream on a hot summer day! It’s nutty, sweet, warm. Just absolutely delectable! To be honest, I can even see myself wearing this at night (date night?), as I feel like it’s deep enough to work, in my opinion. All in all, this is just stunning and I have a feeling it’s going to be a favorite all summer long!

julialimacaribe

Let me start by saying I usually love sweet smelling perfume, that said, for the first time in my entire life I have smelled a perfume that actually gave me nausea. It is SO strong, amazing sillage, amazing lasting power (unfortunatelly for me since I absolutely hated it). I could not wait to get home and shower to get this scent off my skin.

I havent tried the Brazilian Crush one yet but I´m assuming it´s a safer choice because this one might give you or the people you live with some headaches.

lucid_lemur

@Mayasuren I'm so glad someone else smells coconut in this! I smelled that in the dry-down, and I must have re-read the notes eight times thinking I was missing it there somehow.

I agree with a lot of other reviewers that this is a basic (not necessarily a bad word!) sweet beachy scent. It does smell a lot like various vanilla lotions, so if you like that kind of thing then you'll probably like this; it's a slightly salty gourmand, without a lot else going on (to my nose, at least). I can't pick up the slightest hint of jasmine, which is good because as best I can recall, every fragrance with a jasmine note I've ever smelled has made me gag. This just smells . . good. I found it warm and approachable, not too strong, and sweet without being cloying. I haven't done a head-to-head comparison, but it smells the way I remember the bum bum cream smelling. Definitely a fan.

Mayasuren

I really enjoyed the opening of this fragrance, but the dry down smelled like a cheap coconut body spray. Not sure where the coconut is coming from but I get a lot of it, and I generally dislike coconut in perfumes.

Emilyfilia

if you love creamy caramel and vanilla this is perfect for you, smells just like their body mist which works just as great and is cheaper. Perfect for summer and even winter.

Vetiverynice

Listen. I get this is supposed to be reminiscent of Rio de Janeiro, and I’ve been there, and I get it. But here in humble Cleveland, Ohio, we have a place called Mitchell’s Ice Cream. And their Toasted Pistachio ice cream is truly the best ice cream I’ve ever had. It’s the best. Sol de Janeiro’s Cheirosa 62 smells JUST like Mitchell’s Toasted Pistachio ice cream.

This scent has been the sole savior of some epically horrible days, and it has been the warm gourmand icing on top of some really excellent days. The Bum Bum Cream and the eau de parfum smell basically identical, so layering them for some extra longevity would probably work great, but I find if I get either one on my clothes (but especially the cream) it’s there for seeeveral days.

I understand completely why so many people think this is the definition of a summer fragrance, but I think it’s just as good, if not even better, in the wintertime around the holidays - the pistachio, almond, and caramel remind me of some combination of biscotti, millionaire’s shortbread, and cracking through a bowl full Wonderful Pistachios while sitting by the Christmas tree.

heatshimmr

I literally moaned when I tried this and couldn’t stop smelling myself for hours. Nutty, beachy, warm, sweet perfection

Jenelynn

This smells great but in my honest opinion I've been wearing the bum bum lotion & Brazilian crush 62 body spray for years the scent lasts much longer with those 2 together & it's the same scent 😉.. Also someone said something about Roberto Cavallis Gemma di Paradiso I own that too it has some similarities but I hardly ever wear that 1 so definitely not close enough 🤷🏻♀️

nateya

The pistachio and caramel are most prominent on my skin. The initial spray smells like cocoa butter (the first 10 seconds) then the pistachio comes in STRONG. Soon after, there’s a blast of very sweet caramel. It stays pretty linear the entire time. I don’t get any vanilla or salt in this but it does smell good. If you love caramel and pistachio notes, you’ll love this.

wquila

As much as I love caramel, that almond note is so off putting for me. Something about that note reminds me of my dad’s car freshener. It becomes cloying.

ScentedNorms

Blind bought and it's an instant yes! I don't care if it's not unique, it's irresistibly yummy! It's a warm sunny day in a bottle. It's not the typical fresh summer fragrance, it's warm and sweet, but not too sweet. I get the salty almond notes and the caramel.

emma1231

I bought the travel spray to try out this perfume. This perfume smells exactly like Warm Vanilla Sugar by Bath and Body Works. I would probably enjoy it more if it didn't remind me of one of my friends who wore that scent every day in college so I don't feel like myself when I wear this. Overall I I was looking for a warm vanilla to add to my collection and this fulfills that role but I wouldn't call it a standout and will probably not buy a full bottle.

Tessa03

@cottoncandyrainbows - try Roberto Cavalli Gemma di Paradiso ... smells very much like the BumBum cream and is POTENT!!

cottoncandyrainbows

I ordered the travel spray of this and am very disappointed. So, 3 weeks ago, I finally ordered the Bum Bum cream and fell head over heels in love with it. I read reviews for both the body spray, as well as the EDP. Everyone says the body spray is better than the EDP, so I ordered the body spray first. Unfortunately, the beautiful, warm pistachio does not come through on the body spray. It also does not last long whatsoever. So I ordered the EDP. The EDP does have more of the pistachio, but there's also this musty undertone I'm getting from it, like wet laundry that has sat too long. Not to mention the fact that the EDP has no lasting power whatsoever. I'm not sure why anyone thought the spray was better than the EDP. Neither of them last past a few minutes. Can anyone recommend a perfume that smells like the actual Bum Bum cream?? That has some potency and some lasting power?

coffeefifofum

Have to agree that it smells like every vanilla caramel body scrub on the market. It's very wearable and not at all bad, it just lacks a stand out trait.

Jswizzle1802

Ahhhhh this scent is just…. *chefs kiss*. So good, so sweet but really rounded out with the salt note. I layer this with the Bum Bum cream and you literally smell like snack. To me this is a perfect perfume, just wish it lasted longer, or this would be my favorite of all time!!! 9.5/10 :)

gourmandnotes

What SOL Cheirosa 62 offers is a savory gourmand - that quintessential gourmandy smell found in Moroccan Argan oils, coconut/vanilla bean extract hair conditioners, shea butter creams, et al.,. but in perfume form. But of course, it's their very own Bum Bum cream.

The pistachio and almond notes in this are pleasantly spicy and 'meaty' enough that they could be mistaken for toasted almond-coconut cookies instead, the exceptionally rich buttery kind that has a nice browning on top. The caramel and vanilla-sandalwood notes in this makes the whole thing amber-y in the sense that it creates this nice depth and warmth, as if summer sun follows you all year round, and the encompassing note that ties everything together seems to be the salt. I don't get much jasmine/florals in this until at the drydown, where I pick up a whiff of a coconutty-floral that is smells very reminiscent of a coconut-tiare hair conditioner that I have. Overall, this is nice to have in your collection if you've been looking for something cozy and savory in the gourmand department that is also beachy/Brazilian and not solar.

Demi Rawling's fragrance reviews have featured this perfume several times, I finally ordered the sample.
This is the smell of tanning body butter lotion.

We've all smelled this most probably, this is nothing new -- it is definitely familiar.
This brings to mind summer, laying out in the sun.

Demi goes on and on about this perfume. This is nice - definitely smells exactly like how she described it.

ag4399

This smells like Body Fantasies Cupcake Swirl

Perfumelady88

I had an older bottle of this and it smelled so good. All the notes came through really well and I got tons of compliments everywhere I went. I recently purchased a new bottle and it didn't last and seemed very watered down. I returned it and purchased another. When I got home, this one was watered down as well. I tested it alongside my older bottle and my older fragrance lasted hours. This was one was gone in under 20 minutes. I wouldn't recommend buying this fragrance NOW because I think they're watering it down due to the high demand. If you want to have it in your collection, invest in the travel spray or body mist. That will run you about $20-$25 dollars. If something doesn't last, you don't want to spend $80 on it.

goldenone1

This is overrated for me, the caramel smells salty and masculine. It is not as rejuvenating, beautiful and alluring as Brasil is, it smells like a quick pick me up or refresher

*loves_shoes*

Tried a tester of this today and wow.
It’s stunning.
Its nutty without being bitter, and the nuts give it a coconutty feeling without being screechy, and it’s a lovely warm vanilla without being too synthetic. It has a touch of florals, but not really a huge sunscreen vibe, just a sweet summer smell in a bottle.
I’m so surprised with how much I like this.
Perfect summer scent in a bottle.
However, the body and hair spray is so much cheaper that I’m going to buy that instead and hope it smells the same!

Renee G

I love this. It's gorgeous alone, but it layers really beautiful over the Brazilian Crush or if you want to add a little earthiness it blends REALLY well with Dior Patchouli Imperial. I will say I do not think of this as a Summer only scent. I actually find the vanilla, heliotrope, and almond a nice cozy vibe and the caramel just adds a layer of gooey warmth that is so dreamy in the cold Winter. Overall, I think the projection is strong and it lingers on my skin overnight. Worth the buy.

MissAmy

I LOVE this stuff! Use the bumbum cream right after a shower, then follow with this and you smell good all day. It's like yummy warm vanilla and caramel, it makes me "feel" tan even though I'm not and never will be haha. It's a very happy fragrance, very enjoyable, great for a nice sunny day.

Tayco930

They accomplished creating a summery sun scent that doesn't smell like sunscreen and that alone deserves a little praise. Maybe it's just the suggestion from the name and yellow colors, but there is a brightness to it despite being sweet and very toasted marshmallowy. It's like dipping your wrists in vanilla ice cream that melted in the sun. It's a summer gourmand that sits close to the skin. The main knock from me is that it's synthetic smelling although still pleasant. Probably a good after shower scent during the summer for when you're just going to lounge in the backyard the rest of the day. I got this as a sample from Sephora, I'll be sure to finish the sample, but I'm not sure that I will buy the bottle.

Atomikbomb_

I was confused when I ordered samples of this, clearly. I wasn't aware that this is almost exactly the Bum Bum cream in perfume form. So...as I wore this this afternoon (in the cold rain, I might add, and this held up well), I kept thinking 'This can't possibly be a different scent!'. It smells like Brazilian Crush, which I believed is the BB cream? I'm still unclear, but I believe they're the same thing. They have almost exactly the same notes.

I got pistachio here, and almost an almond cookie scent (I eat a lot of almond flour and almond extract), but this is a little richer than the cream. It's a little toasty, and although it reminds me of summer, I found it amazingly contrasted for the cold weather and winter blues.

It's a clearly sythetic vanilla and gourmond note fragrance, and it doesn't smell super expensive. But I'll echo what I said in my review of Brazilian Crush - 'It's not pretending to be' 😘 It's a yummy, accessible, crowd-pleasing, happy and understandable fragrance, I really like it (almost love it). This has slightly amped up performance and sillage compared to the cream, and I truly *tested* it today outdoors.

llamasinpajamas

yeah this one hits the sweet spot for me, literally. delicious and summery, just the way i like my perfume. i keep fighting the urge to bite into my wrist... wish the longevity was better though

sophiezzz

I see everyone saying this smells exactly like the bum bum cream, but to me this feels very different - there’s a lot more of the floral notes and something a bit fruity in the undertones. in a way i almost prefer the bum bum cream itself, which is a bit more straightforward and in my opinion, sexy in its simplicity. it starts out kind of boring, smelling like a lot of similar fragrances with the jasmine and sandalwood present, but over the course of the wear, it loses those notes and the dry down is definitely a simpler vanilla & caramel. i think it’s really cute but probably not worth the price, which is also how i feel about the bum bum cream.

luckypenny

Listen. If you love the bum bum cream scent, I can guarantee you this is the safest blind buy you can ever purchase. It’s bum bum cream in spray form.

Caramel, vanilla, pistachio and florals. They’ve managed to stuff summer into a EDP without relying on coconut (which is shocking, I know!).

The bottle is also very cute - when it catches light it’s like a little golden disco ball.

pleasuretoburn

Yum. Nutty, slightly burnt vanilla with a subtle spicy underlayer. I am not much of a gourmand lover, but this juice right here does it for me. It is sensual without being heavy, and it lasts for ages. Of course it layers nicely with yummy-scented lotions, but it is great even on its own. It is both sweet and creamy without being sickening or synthetic. If you want to smell alluring and delicious but not like one of those dolls we had in the 80s that smelled like baked goods, give this puppy a try.

AlienCowGirl

It's a really nice smell, it literally smells like summer but it's way too overpriced for this longevity. Body spray is definitely better than perfume.

karlee79

Urban Outfitters chai spice is the exact dupe

perfumeasf

I love this scent, however sometimes it is TOO sweet for me. Its very very sweet and rich with nothing to really break it up, however it smells amazing when combined with the bum bum cream during the summer! Definitely not a fall or winter scent. Does not last a long time unfortunately.

Syrah14

So gorgeous! This smells exactly like the Bum Bum Cream and layering them together will give you all day fragrance. On its own - not the best in terms of lasting power. I overspray this when I wear it to get it to last. It is straight up salted caramel in a bottle! Or pistachio gelato. It's really decadent but also feels sunny and sexy, it's not cloying. The main notes that come through for me are pistachio, caramel, vanilla, and salt. I wear this year round.

valelita

Smells just like Bum bum cream and CHeirosa 62 mist! Since its EDP it has less alcohol in the opening, smells less cheap when you spray it, and the smell is a bit stronger than the mist, of course! I love it for that. Summer in a bottle! Layer with all Bum bum products and you will smell good enough to eat.

My only issue is the poor longevity I get with this... so is it worth spending more $$$ just for a better opening, but essentially the same performance as the body mist? I don't think so.

Alanitoo

A gourmand lover's dream! Caramely and sweet, I don't see this as a "summer fragrance", I think it's ideal for fall and winter. Longevity and projection are great.

It's a fun fragrance, so it's not very sophisticated and I wish they did a better job with the bottle, since it looks quite juvenile with the disco cap.

Over all a great fragrance.

realitygreene

Upon first spray this perfume is very thick and syrupy, like there is a cloud of fragrance all around me. After an hour it dies down and is more palatable. I get most of the notes advertised: the savory pistachio, the sweet caramel, the indulgent vanilla, and of course the nutty almond. The floral notes stay in the background and it works in this fragrance. I don't mind this perfume, but it's definitely not a love. I have two samples that I will happily get through during the fall/winter and we'll see how I feel after that. The bottle is absolutely hideous though, I would never purchase it even at a supreme discount. All in all I am surprised by my like for this perfume. It's pretty warm and comforting. I can't wait to wear this around my boyfriend. I feel like he'll either love it or hate it!

edit 1/11/2022: I sampled this again and it is SO strong. I sprayed the sample about 6 times total directly onto my skin (not my hair or clothing at all) and 7.5 hours later it's still there, but has morphed a bit into a mostly balsamic or sesame -seed like scent. It's not super nauseating, but it's not exactly pleasant either. The caramel and vanilla faded very quickly despite there being a heavy cloud of perfume on/around me. I don't know that I will keep my 2 samples bc life is short and I have a shit-ton of perfume. I suspect a friend of mine might like this more! Maybe the yummy notes will come out on her skin.

santiniansia

I have been searching for a great almond-vanilla fragrance, and it turns out I've had one all along. SOL Cheirosa '62 is quite underrated, I feel. On my skin, it smells mostly of caramel. It does feel like it's more suited to a younger wearer, but I wear it mostly for comfort and for my own enjoyment. I agree that it smells great in any climate or weather. I'm not bothered by the lack of longevity because I have allergies and the beast-mode frags tend to aggravate them.

Joshhiggins32

This is great and such a solid perfume. It’s not overly complicated but it works so well. The only downfall is this will last a good 4-5 hours and it’s gone. Keep it with you and that’ll take care of that issue. This is a nutty caramel dream. It smells like an expensive vacation that doesn’t rely on coconut. It’s just dreamy and always an uplifting scent. For sure easy blind buy and anyone would love this.

Lavandermilk

I don't think this is worth the $70 a bottle.
However, it's a nice safe frag. It is a yummy summer tanning lotion-esque scent. The pistachio, caramel, and vanilla really pulled through on my skin. Its sweet and the dry down is nice, softer, and a little more floral. The reason I don't feel like this is worth the money is because i think you can get basically the same scent and nearly the same performance in a B&BW spray or even in the body spray version of this scent. I sold off my bottle and will just be sticking to my coco cabanna body mist from this line when I want something in a similar vein.

juicypearxo

Yummmmmmm! This smells exactly like the body mist on steroids! It’s so much stronger and lasts longer! Can’t wait to wear this in the summer 😍 overall 9/10

AkiraHatake

It's cloying sweet, making me nauseous. Probably the pitaschio. A hard pass for me.

taerose

wanted to like this one so bad, tried the mist as well, but I’m afraid it’s scared me from the rest of the sol mists. their yellow body cream is my favourite smell in the whole world.. I would cry if I sampled it as a most and it smelt anything like this- microwaveable popcorn??

why in the world would anyone consider popcorn notes to be desirable? does it grow on you? disappear in the dry down? also why I haven’t blind bought pure xs over the hype.

Janlaw

This smells like you’re walking in a Cuban market and all sorts of smells hit you. I dunno it kinda is unapologetic. Like if perfumes had accents this would have the thickest accent there is…it’s so in your face like nothing else.

Shellyscents

On my skin it first smells like popcorn flavored jellybeans, but the drydown is similar to Libre intense (on my skin). The Brazilian crush body mist smells identical on my skin, however the SOL eau de parfum lasts longer and is a little stronger. In the air, I don't smell popcorn, I smell caramelly deliciousness. People around me only smelled the sweetness, not popcorn, thank goodness. Long-lasting and the whiffs in the air smell incredible. 3 feet sillage pre-drydown. I would buy the body mist because it is a better deal.

Eriksen

Smells amazing 🥰 Its lastingpower on skin, is leaving you wanting, but on clothes, it sticks with you until the next day. Can not give this little gem enough praise.

perfumequeen234668

Anyone has this fragrances to swap with Hermès twilly? Message me if you do

zelelipe

This reminds me of Girl of Now but less intense. It is not a heavy hitter and sits fairly close to the skin. I have the mist (which is cheaper per ml) and that projects better IMO and smells exactly the same. There is a lot of alcohol in the opening which is always off-putting for me but I love the dry-down and love that you can layer this with the body cream, mist and shower products. It has a very summery vibe and reminds me of very expensive suncream. I like the holiday feeling this gives and I'm a huge fan of gourmands with nutty and caramel notes so it's a hit for me but the price is really high for the quality. I get vanilla first, then some caramel and pistachio/almond. It is quite simple but a lovely scent that is very wearable for summer days and nights. Wish the price was more reasonable, I bought a sample sized bottle and while I would want to buy the full bottle I wouldn't pay full price for it. It's a very addictive scent that would be great for summer dates.

kittymoon

This reminds me (it's in the realms of) Olympea Legend. Salty caramel with deep sweet vanilla - but Cheirosa 62 is softer, and deeper. It has a very buttery sugary vanilla/almond note. Many mentioned butter cookies and I agree. I love it and I don't. I was craving a summer scent with more depth and less green notes than Soleil Blanc and I thought I found it. But it turns a bit too ... something, and it's not even the sweetness. Maybe the vanilla/almond/pistachio is a little too sickly/syrupy. I will try to mix a spritz of this with a load of Soleil Blanc or similar. Glad I only got a tester and actually wore it a few days before I decided if I'd buy! Although I like it, I think it's a pass after the first excitement.

ceeceelee

It's a pretty, summer night skin scent. But for an EdP, 30 minutes was all I got out of it. I layer the cream and body mist on those evenings when I want a nutty, sweet sleep scent. I took the EdP back, just not worth the $76 I paid at Sephora for it.

Bouquet

Like Olympea or Olympia Intense but sweeter and with less salt.

supergirl9412

This is a dual review of both the fragrance mist and the EdP. (I hope this will be helpful for someone!)

The mist is blended nicely and has a warm, pleasant nutty note (which is so often not the case ... e.g. SdJ Cheirosa ‘71) and a sweet vanilla/caramel syrupyness. There is a doughy quality to the caramel, but that comes out on my skin with some caramels (e.g. Pinrose Secret Genius). With a close skin sniff, there’s an undercurrent of sour floral that’s kinda weird, but that’s nose-on-skin .. The cloud doesn’t really have that quality. The EdP is similar but not identical. Same nice blend and warm nutty note, but the vanilla/caramel syrup is much more prominent. It’s more sugary, and it has less of that doughyness and sour floral that I didn’t love in the mist.

Longevity and projection are different between the two, as well. As you might expect, the mist performed weaker in both areas. I’ve heard that the EdP’s performance isn’t great, and so it’s not worth getting. That definitely wasn’t my experience ... For me, the EdP is worth that higher price.

I would suggest the mist if longevity isn’t a concern, if you prefer lighter scents, or if you plan on layering it with the body cream, which will help with longevity. I would suggest the EdP if you’re more of a perfume person than a mist person, if you like a scent with a little more oomph, or if you’re turned off by some of the same qualities that I mentioned with the mist (doughy caramel notes, sour floral notes). But really, don’t overthink it if you’re trying to determine which to get ... Cheirosa ‘62 is nutty, sweet, warm, salty, solar, and utterly beachy, and I’m glad I have both types. The EdP is more “up my alley” with its stronger sweetness and better longevity, but the body mist is nice for chunking in the purse (or luggage when going to the beach) and feels more beachy.

Thanks for coming to my TedTalk.

mariana0000

I’ve had a tiny sample for six months and I don’t want it to finish because I’ll definitely splurge on the full-size bottle. This smells amazing — it resembles the smell of soft Danish butter cookies! It’s a sugary, warm, comforting, buttery scent. I get salted caramel, pistachio, almond, and vanilla. I love it!

Tropicat28

Dua Fragrances makes a dupe of this called Era of Vanilla. It is not as sweet especially in the opening but the dry down is extremely similar. So if you like this but not happy about the longevity get Era of Vanilla and just layer it with the Sol Janeiro body mists.

ihaveafragranceobsession

I don't what it is about this fragrance, but something in it bothers me. I do love the smell! I was a wearer of their Bum Bum cream so I was so excited when this came out. I had it and every time I wear it and gets whiffs throughout the day, something in me just doesn't enjoy it, but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. I do see the similarity between this and Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille spray, which I also can't wear, but always liked the smell. I returned my perfume today because it sadly bothers me that much.

Flowersinlove

All I smell is popcorn🥴

paigejulian

This smells exactly like BBW Sunset Glow to me. Very nutty vanilla, linear fragrance. I’m not sure that it is worth the higher price point compared to BBW, especially when the longevity is very similar.

Glenysnav

I brought a travel spray from hearing all the reviews about the perfume being the perfect summer fragrance. But it smells a little similar to Itálica by Xerjoff, which I have, so I didn’t feel a need to keep this perfume. I returned it.

Margoose

The sweetness of this haunts me. Honestly, I’ve always enjoyed drier, woody, citrus, light fruity floral, warm powdery scents. I’ve never been much drawn to outright sweet gourmands. As I’ve gotten older, my tastes have changed somewhat, and after encountering a few subtle coconut fragrances , I thought I’d give this a blind buy. I wore this on 4 occasions. The opener has a nuttiness, but it isn’t a toasty sexy thing, it’s the generic synthetic “nutty” note you can find in any cheap “pumpkin spice” “hazelnut latte” or similarly fall-themed candle. It is a cheap smell, and overwhelming. During the dry down this just turns even sweeter and stays sweet. I don’t get pistachio so much as marzipan? It’s so sweet any floral in the mix is practically obliterated. I also do not get coconut, as was hoping for. Maybe some people’s brains are connecting “sugar” with “nut” and are getting something coconut out of it, but there’s no true coconut accord that I can find. This is so sweet I can still feel it clinging to back of my tongue two days later. For me,it was a relief to return this. Now, I know better than most, different strokes for different folks. If you want to smell like straight sugar dipped in sugar and rolled in what might be a of dusting of nuts- this could be for you. And I believe on someone else’s chemistry this may sing and become the soft, sexy thing I was hoping it was. But if the sweetest of scents isn’t your thing, I’d pass on this.

catswearingperfume

I'm truly surprised by how much I like this. My first exposure to this scent was through the Bum Bum cream. I got a sample tub back when it was first released, and I liked the smell of it fine, but didn't feel the urge to run out and buy it in a full size. It's just not the type of scent I normally gravitate toward.

I usually like things floral, woody, sometimes fruity, sometimes earthy. But this? This is a sweet, nutty, salty, gourmand affair. Certainly a crowd-pleaser, but different from what I am usually into. Anyway, I went through that cream sample, and then didn't think about this scent again for a couple of years.

But I woke up a few days ago with an intense scent craving for something tropical, summery, and sweet. And I remembered seeing there was an EDP out with the same scent as the Bum Bum cream sample I'd used so long ago and thought it might be what I need. I headed to Sephora and gave it a sniff — and that was it, it touched that special spot in my brain and I had to get it.

The pistachio is the lead player, sweetened by the vanilla (and I guess the caramel, though I probably wouldn't have guessed caramel specifically if I hadn't seen it listed). The almond emerges within the first few minutes and lends a bit of a marzipan essence. The heliotrope and jasmine are very subtle and pretty seamlessly blended. At no point is this fragrance an overtly floral venture. The floral role, it seems, is to make Cheirosa ’62 a tropical, sun-warmed experience, and prevent it from just smelling like a dessert. And of course, the salt - which adds depth to this whole concoction the way it would for a good piece of caramel. I think the salt takes this fragrance from "pretty good" to "great." Sweet, creamy, and sunny are the words that spring to mind when I smell this.

This fragrance unfolds quickly — it only took a few minutes to get from the opening to the base. But I found that the base lingers for hours if layered with the Bum Bum cream. I'm also a clothes sprayer, and on clothes it lasts much longer. So if you're someone who is worried about longevity, that's something to keep in mind. Sillage is moderate. You're not going to fill a room, but people will smell you when you walk by.

This fragrance certainly stands on it's own, but I think it would also layer well with anything that is pineapple, citrus, cherry, or coconut forward.

I'm not sure how this EDP compares with the fragrance mist. I've ordered a bottle of the mist with the hope that it can help me stretch out this EDP. It will be interesting to see if the scent is exactly the same, or if one has better longevity than the other.

Overall, if you're looking for something tropical and sweet, this is worth sampling.

srcnls

The opening for me is filled with pistachio, just lovely, it then dries down and becomes sweeter, with a little saltiness coming through. Overall its like a warm sugary summer afternoon, really nice. I also finds this much more appealing than the body spray, not sure why, maybe its having it in a glass bottle, rather than body spray (which I always found a bit tacky). It lasts a good 4 hours before subduing, longevity isn't great but then again Sol de Janeiro is not a perfume house... they did a good job, its a lovely scent, for something more powerful there's lots of alternatives out there.

alisonvgil

I absolutely adore this scent, but there's no way I can justify buying a full bottle of this. The longevity and sillage just aren't there and it really bums me out. I'm praying that one day the brand can formulate a more potent version that lasts more than an hour on the skin. :/

MakeupNeverSleeps

To me, it smells like a mixture of Laura Mercier Almond Coconut and Ambre Vanille.

nelliebabes

I had to come back and review again! Ugh, so good! I've been wearing this everyday of the week and I pick up something new each time! I needed something deep, warm, and yummy to go with my fuzzy soft dress for a sexy date night-- but ended up reaching for this in the daytime every day of this week.

It is one of the only fragrances I've purchased recently that has actual sillage and LASTS ALL DAY! The opening lasts for about an hour and has deep, nutty elements. The heart lasts and lasts, and it's a brighter kind of nuanced "vanilla"-- with an element I can't quite name that makes it more complex than my other vanillas... then the fade down is just UGH! Warm sparkling feminine vanilla.

I'm definitely buying the full size bottle of this soon. It's so sexy but also wearable.

ScarletAnyaBlack

First spray I can definitely smell the pistachio which I loved. After a while, the pistachio fades and all I can smell is the caramel. I wish the pistachio stays longer. It's very sweet and happy scent. I love it.

Amoridei

I love this perfume. It smells like the lotion. Warm, sensual summery fragrance. Perfect for summer.

gabrielle00

I get more caramel than anything else, can't smell any pistachio on my skin sadly. Warm and sweet but I wouldn't want to smell like it. Would love it if there is a candle of it though

markchristopheralviz

This is summer sensuality in a bottle. As a gay male who wears this fragrance, I’ve gotten so much positive attention from males and females alike. It just radiates beautifully off of my skin. Perfectly blended and never too cloying but I can distinctly smell the pistachio, salted caramel and vanilla. A lot of reviews say it doesn’t last but thank God this persists on my skin. I can still detect it after 6 plus hours. This has become my benchmark when it comes to smelling that distinct pistachio note in a fragrance.

And I just realized that this is the 4th Jerome Epinette crafted fragrance in my collection after Atelier Cologne Pacific Lime, Byredo Bal D’Afrique and Commodity Velvet. He’s really starting to become my favorite modern nose.

Anyway, I can’t get enough of this fragrance, really beautiful.

kkaattjjeess

Currently testing a sample of this, and finally remembered what it reminds me of - more so in the dry down: Police Forbidden for her (a Dior Hypnotic poison clone that is closer to this gourmand cookie vibe of Cheirosa62 than to H. poison in my opinion). Btw, Forbidden was cheap as chips but is discontinued now I think.

So anyway, this is a pleasant very gourmand pistachio-almond sugary goodness. No sillage, bad longevity.

My problem with this brand is it's disturbingly overpriced for the quality of their stuff (I am referring to body mists/perfumes as I haven't tried their lotions and potions).

FragranceSal

As I love visiting Brazil and the people, so many things about the country and culture, I had high hopes for this but alas they were largely dashed. While the scent was somewhat pleasant, there is also a plasticy, synthetic quality that for me rendered the overall effect cheap and like something from a local drugstore. At the top, vanilla and marzipan with the vanilla lingering all the way through, some salt and nice caramel. Very little projection or longevity. Nice concept, poor execution IMHO.

nelliebabes

Wow! Got a sample of this in Sephora's beachy sampler pack and was blown away by this! Smells like a hot cougar on vacation in the tropics seducing men in an all white flowy suit. BIIIG tropical juicy and warm notes with a subtle hit of a spice or wood at the verrrry end, lasts on my skin forever, has a syruppy sweetness but isn't cloying.

This is such a mood, definitely not an everyday wear unless you live a very sexy tropical life lol.

katheryne_art

The opening of this reminds me quite a lot of Montale-Chocolate Greedy, they are not the same, but pretty similar. Both smell like cookies, however, Sol de Janeiro doesn't last long at all...The dry-down of this reminds me more of Cavalli-Gemma de Paradiso, as I get the salty notes and the almond/pistachio note, and combined together it gets even a little bit aquatic. It's quite beautiful, but not a love for me as I love the other 2 perfumes more. .

frangiris

It's okay - fun, sweet, casual, sunny. Doesn't last very long. Probably well-suited to wear during a hot summer vacation. Not my favorite, as it lacks a bit of refinement in my opinion.

GabrielleeeeeW

I have loved the smell of SDJ bumbum cream for a long time. I currently have the body wash, cream, lip balm, glow oils, and body mist. I got a sample of this and was hoping the EDP would be a bit richer and deeper than the mist and it is not! It really smells identical to me. Which means this is a lovely fragrance, smells delicious, very gourmand and reminiscent of summer at the beach. But it is very short lasting with little projection so I would have to say the mist is much better for the price. It's not that the mist has better longevity, the EDP does last longer, but is still gone within 2-3 hours for me so I will just continue wearing the mist and layering with my other products. Way too expensive for such weak performance. I do wish SDJ would come out with the Cheirosa 71 EDP because that is the best smell of all three to me (coco cabana included as well).

rae09cg

I had the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream first, the body spray, and then purchased a travel size of the EDP. They all smell identical which is nice for layering. I really was hoping to just be able to wear the EDP although, it performs better with layering in the cream. This is my husband's favorite perfume I own, which is concerning since he doesn't like coconut lol. It smells like sun kissed skin on a warm beach day. Because it is such a warm scent with the caramel and vanilla, I believe this scent could be too much on a sweating hot day but transition well into fall.

pasolini

I layer this with Sol de Janeiro bum bum cream and body spray to see my work crush. It seems like a man pleaser (for "traditional gender role" type men). It's wonderful. when he's off work I wear the GOAT Jazz Club, or sometimes Sauvage.
