A real highlight for the summer. It's slightly soapy, very light and the tangerine is very natural. Unfortunately, you can't smell a civet cat at all. I think that's a bit of a shame, it would have done the scent good.

If you are looking for a pure tangerine scent, you will find the optimal solution with this one.

DO_123

Looking for the acqua version of Mandarino di Amalfi. Not the EdP. I dont think the perfumer for this is Ms.Baker..
Pm me if anyone has a bottle.
Thanks

This made a very beautiful woman approach me while I was eating at a sushi restaurant.
She asked me what is that your wearing it smells so fresh and clean.
This smells like fresh orange with an ocean in the background. Sounds redundant and done many times before however this is still unique.
9/10 wish it lasted longer

TyNel

The drydown of this is a not subtle version of Xerjoff Torino 21. The opening of this is much better though, less harsh but doesn’t last as long as Torino21

Fragfragbagbag

Nice warm weather scent. A blast of citrus notes that fades into white florals/bitter citrus than a light musky base. Pretty standard but interesting enough for it to stand on its own. Way more floral than I’m used to for a male scent but I’m into it. Much like Oud Fleur with the floral note/dark notes but this is waaaaay lighter, gentler and less musky. It’s early in the season but I’d imagine once you sweat a bit it will balance the “feminine” notes more. Otherwise I’d say this is pretty unisex scent.

Performance isn’t great but you should know that coming into it so I’d keep a small atomizer with you to freshen up if you’re out for a while. Around a 3-5 hour scent but mostly a skin one/arms length at that.

Happy with this scent and the aftermarket price makes this a much better deal than the typical TF offerings. So re-spraying doesn’t kill your wallet. Not a revelation but a solid summer offering.

Performance: 5/10

Agh, this is headache inducing and that is why I hate citrus and aromatic fragrances so much. Just painful that my mom loves it, ugh.

DapperDon

Initial spray smells.. just ok, you pick up on the orange & citrus, but that only last about 30 seconds. As the fragrance begins to dry, the white florals become more pronounced which in-turn leans the scent in a more feminine direction.. starts to smell ‘perfumery’ kinda like how Silver Mountain Water does with the black current. I was hoping this would be more herbaceous with the mint & shiso, instead my skin chemistry often intensifies floral notes.
I’m not liking this at all.
It’s a spring scent for sure.. white t-shirt & shorts, golfing vibes.
Not masculine at all IMO! 😤

Infevo

Loved it but the performance was really weak and the price is ludicrous. Discontinued anyway. Now you can only get the EDP version which is even way more expensive than Dior's Privée line.

actual-working-nose

Lmfao. What a noob nose below me. Nah, you're not smelling a civet cat in this fragrance just because you see it in the notes and thus start imagining it. This is a mass pleasing scent, and that's what it's made for. Its intention wasn't to be animalic. It's a sour, fresh, citrus scent, slightly aquatic. The civet in this is so low dose that you're not smelling it. It's to add something to the overall scent profile, not be the star of the show. Fragrances are so placebo that it's sad to see people "pin poinitng notes" when you'd never in a million years say it smelled like XYZ note if you tested the fragrance blindly.

pioneer9000

Super classy luxurious smelling summer scent. Can't get enough of it. Was a gift and I'm happy, because i don't see this mentioned often so I probably wouldn't have come across it and I'm super happy i did. The orange opening is wonderful. A green white musky orange.

Travdog1985

Compliment getter- much longer lasting than original Mandarino di Amalfi. Smells like summer

Mjchaelj

Very beautiful and natural. Like smelling the leaves of an orange tree. This is something you wear in the heat of summer when you want to smell great after a dip in the pool in a luxury hotel resort. Fresh colognes aren’t my favorite but I really enjoy this.

Nice scent. Reminds me of orange tic-tacs.

michael.oliver

Had this delivered today and I must say, it does smell lovely. It has a super zesty / orangey opening which quickly fades (thankfully) pretty quickly and its very sharp. This is a total summer scent but I managed to get a really great deal so another to be stacked away with my other summer freshies. I did spray this lightly this morning at 8 and is now 11:15 and can still, very faintly smell it. A colleague has just asked what have I got on today so it still obviously projects pretty well 3 hours in so whether I have gone slightly nose blind or I still haven't got my full senses back after a mild winter cold.

I can tell though that this is probably not going to last much longer, and rightly so for a summer edt. What I will be doing in the summer though is layering this with my Floris Neroli Voyage which last a life time on my skin but adding this on top will add the powdery, buttery zestiness of Mandarino Di Amalfi on top of the Neroli power house of Floris.

I really do like this scent and it will be elevated in the summer during those hot and dry summer days. This IMO is just a great personal scent. One to be enjoyed by yourself and not one you expect to turn heads with.

DPerfumes

Like the original but more watered down with an extra emphasis on the herbaceous greens. The orange hits you first, but dissipates to give way to the other notes of shrubs, leaves, and plants.

EauDeMarcello

It’s a very green mandarin.. can come off a little sharp for me. Longevity is terrible, really wanted it to last longer but I’m just over the Mediocre performance so I’m going to sell it. I actually realised that I love mandarin as a small, but I I just don’t reach for it. If I was to replace it, Guerlain acqua allegoria mandarine is much smoother and the basil is gorgeous, still crappy performance as well but without costing as much, if you absolutely need to have it

mutatismutandis

Perhaps not surprisingly, Mandarino di Amalfi Acqua is very similar to Mandarino di Amalfi. There are differences but they are of nuance rather than of substance. The Acqua version is always an intimate scent from start to finish. It has aspects of both Monotheme's Verde d'Arancia and Mandarino di Amalfi. There is the opening which gives you mandarin, grapefruit, mint, bergamot, lemon, basil, shiso, a hint of black pepper and floral notes fifteen minutes in.

About 50 minutes in it's gone more Italian classic cologne with the citruses turned down. There's also some coriander noticeable at this point.

Three hours in the coriander and the black pepper have gone. Now there's mint, basil, jasmine, shiso, musk and a general floral accord. It stays this way for another hour or so before it starts to fade slowly.

Four hours in and the drydown is very reminiscent of the Neroli Portofino drydown with a bit of extra herby green and soapiness added in. Five and a half hours in it's broadly the same - a rather nice soapy, clean, musky, herby accord. Seven and a half hours in and it's really quite faint. Nine hours in you have to go hunting for it on your arm. Eleven hours in and it's just about gone.

At the risk of stating the obvious, Mandarino di Amalfi Acqua is a perfume for day wear rather than going out in the evening, and it's a spring and summer one, although I think it wouldn't be out of place in the very early autumn. I prefer the original Mandarino di Amalfi to the Acqua version but I think the price is prohibitive for a proper full bottle.

kyoz

I love this scent even though it does not last on me at all. It is dominantly a citrus scent but the herbs like shiso (which I can actually smell) gave it some edge to other citrus soapy scent like Light Blue. 100% summer scent and very hard to go overboard with this one.

Caldrumr

A nice, fresh citrus scent. Soapy and clean.
Opens with a rather realistic mandarin, and quickly dies down to a close, simple citrus musk, with a very light backing of fresh green herbs.
Very understated, and doesn't last long, but smells really nice.
Think of this as an eau de cologne, nice for hot summer days.

WGG

Rediculously, mouthwateringly good. Prefer it to the original (which is still very good!) Best for summer and possibly even worth the money.

On sent d'emblée que c'est très bien fait. Malheureusement et très rapidement, on a du mal à se départir, au final, de cet aspect exagérément chimique de la mandarine qui en devient très désagréable.

Back in 2017, the woman at the fragrance counter in Nordstrom's didn't even give me a choice, she just said "you have got to try this one" and spritzed both my wrists. From there I went on to meet friends for dinner and then to a concert. All evening I kept sniffing my wrists ... in love with the citrusy wonder of it all.
Fast forward to 2021 and the memory of that day pops into my head, so I decide to treat myself to this citrusy gem.
Well I don't know what happened, but it's nothing but household cleaner with a citrus scent for me. The citrus overpowers absolutely all else, and it's not a particularly pleasant citrus either. I'm shocked and super bummed that something that smelled sooooo good to that night back in 2017 now comes across to me as synthetic, chemical cleaner. Also, it smells exactly the same as Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Bergamote Calabria, which I swapped away some time ago, so it's doubly disappointing that somehow I've ended up with something that smells the same! :(

ScentLoverJen

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite scents for hot weather. It's clean (almost soapy), sharp and fresh with just a touch of musk, amber and labdanum for depth. It's totally unisex in my opinion; probably one of the truest unisex fragrances I've encountered. On me (a female) I get the floral nuances, but definitely not so much that a man couldn't pull it off. Longevity is decent on me and the projection is suitable for hot weather when I don't want to wear a scent that will overtake a room. Definitely a love!

A.Bandini

Neroli Portofino has always been too flowery to me. I always was more of a fan of Mandarino Amalfi. This one however is a mix of both. Neroli Portofino is in there, with a nice and elegant touch of fern soap along with that green and herbal shiso leaves which gives the whole composition a cooling fougere like vibe. Very mediterranean, a good one for the hot days of summer, nice sunny days in general or after a wet shave. It would even be a perfect fit for someone working in suit and tie in an air conditioned office. Its totally unisex and due to the extended influence of the florals probably even leaning a bit feminine.

Frafleur

I've tried every TF fragrance I could get my hands on and I didn't like any of them. Not even a tiny bit. But I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one. I kept coming back to it over several months, used my sample down to the last drop and decided I had to have it.

I had no idea people thought this to be a more masculine scent until coming here. It def smells feminine to me. Citrus-like without smelling like an orange. It smells icy (maybe that's the mint). I adore a fragrance that smells cold. That makes it perfect for spring and summer but still nice in cooler months. Performance is moderate. I reapply once in the afternoon.

It smells expensive and slightly retro. Reminds me of visits to the mall as a little girl in the summer, opening the door to the fancy department store and having the ice cold A/C hit you, along with the smell of those glorious perfumes. Trying to walk slowly to take it all in, but your mom is dragging you quickly by the hand. It doesn't remind me of any perfume in particular. But it reminds me of that experience.

If pairing fragrances with food was a thing, this is what you'd wear while eating a seafood salad, sipping a mojito and having a sorbet for dessert.

I always stop and smell my scents as I pass my dresser, but I spend more time on this one. This is how I want all my perfumes to make me feel.

Kloppo

Not a fan. I was expecting a lot more natural mandarin that I got, instead it smells exactly like someone melted skittles and the fruits are very synthetic. If youre looking for fresher citrus, orange sanguine by atelier for realism, dior homme cologne for soapy fruits and xerjoff renaissance for green citrus are the way to go.

Liz-frag

The first spray was quite pleasing , like a fresh summer , pretty scent :)
And the more it stays on my skin , the more the pretty juicy mandarin turns into a dirty orange blossom baby wipe :(
It’s a big NO after long time on MY skin , it might be beautiful on other people 🤷🏽♀️

GiannisP

I just love this! This is such an amazing, uplifting, natural smelling and elegant scent! In my opinion this is the best from the private blend acqua line. I get some citruses on top, an aquatic feel, also, a spicy herbal accord. On the drydown the citruses go a little back and come out some beautiful peppermint, some spices, a fruity black currant and my favorite part of this fragrance, this basel note!

The performance is not the best part of this fragrance, it's not bad but i would love some more. I get about 5-6 hours longevity and this projects moderate for about 1,5 hour, after that is a skin scent. This is versatile, easy to wear, great work scent and easy to like. I find it masculine, a gentleman's scent but a woman could easily wear it too. I usually wear it when it's very warm outside, it has better protection and i also spray my clothes for better performance.

Overall, i just love this, one of my favorites for the summer! This is so uplifting and beautiful, the only downside is the weak-moderate performance.

Mandarino Di Amalfi opens with a moderate projection combining citrus and white floral notes. The lemon is the most prominent citrus note and it is very zesty, slightly musky, and sour, evocative of pure lemon juice. The floral accords come across as white flowers and lean the fragrance slightly to the feminine side. The spicy notes are very faint and don’t add much to the scent. The initial projection drops quickly from moderate to low. As Mandarino Di Amalfi dries down, the musk and civet enter the blend enhancing the citrus and floral notes, and adding a mild musky animalic tone that improves projection. The vetiver is a soft green touch. The most noticeable change from the opening to the dry-down is the change from a citrus lemon opening to a musky slightly animalic lemony dry-down. Once the Tom Ford Mandarino De Amalfi has reached is full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, musky, lemony, and white floral fragrance, with some spicy and green accords. Tom Ford Mandarino Di Amalfi feels fresh, classy, slightly old-school, summery, more feminine than masculine, average, very musky (animalic and lemony), faint, diurnal, mature, and relatively pleasant.

BATCH REVIEWED: 2020
WOW RATING: 5/10. A musky citrusy floral fragrance, it feels average.
DISLIKE RATING: The animalic and musky tones are above average, they could be offensive to some people.
UNIQUENESS: 3/10. The notes in this fragrance are very common.
MASS APPEAL: 4/10. Musky animalic fragrances are not mass-appeal fragrances.
PROJECTION: 2/10. Low, about 2 feet around the wearer.
SILLAGE: 2/10. Low, about 2 feet behind the wearer.
APPLICATION: 4 more atomizations.
LONGEVITY: 3/10. Low, about 3 hours, but with consistent moderate projection.
SEASONS: Spring and summer.
OCCASIONS: Formal events, outdoor gatherings, gym, office, business, casual. This is an office-friendly fragrance.
VERSATILITY: 8/10. As most citrus-based fragrances, Tom Ford Mandarino Di Amalfi is versatile.
GENDER: Advertised as unisex, the lack of masculine tones and the mix of lemony, floral, and musky tones lean the fragrance to the feminine side.
AGES: 30 and above.
RECOMMENDATION: With a retail price of over $250 and a discounted price of about $180, Tom Ford Mandarino Di Amalfi does not deliver the performance and uniqueness that would be required to meet its price. It is a pleasant fragrance, a nice-to-have but not a must-have.
BLIND-BUY: No, sample it first. The lemony, floral, and musky tones slightly lean the fragrance to the feminine side.
SIMILAR: The following fragrances feature lemony, white floral, and musky tones, they also have a tilt to the feminine side. The still can be worn by men, but just be aware that most of them, lack masculine-specific tones. Bond No. 9 Texas is a good citrus fragrance, its floral tones are above the citrus tones, which lean it to the feminine side; Xerjoff Casamorati 1888 is a warm spicy, woody, amber, floral, balsamic, and aromatic fragrance; Acqua Di Parma Men Colonia Essenza is perhaps the closest to Tom Ford Mandarino Di Amalfi and features citrus, aromatic, fresh spicy, and white floral tones; Chanel Les Exclusifs De Chanel – Jersey EDP is an aromatic, floral, fresh spicy, vanilla, and musky fragrance; Chanel Les Exclusifs – Coromandel EDP brings neroli, woody, warm spicy, patchouli, and sweet tones; Issey Miyake - L'Eau D'Issey Men EDT is citrus, aromatic, fresh spicy, green, and floral fragrance; finally, Roja Parfums Scandal Cologne Parfum features multiple tones, including citrus, floral, and spices.
SUMMARY: A moderate projection, musky, lemony, and white floral fragrance, with some spicy and green accords. Tom Ford Mandarino Di Amalfi feels fresh, classy, slightly old-school, summery, more feminine than masculine, average, very musky (animalic and lemony), faint, diurnal, mature, and relatively pleasant.

First sprays are wonderful then it dies pretty quickly. The bottle is the best thing about it.

Save your money and buy the pricier EDP version as this EDT version is piss poor.

mmpnguyen

This smells real nice. Definitely a fragrance to reach for if you want to relax and wind down. Very light, but I get about 4 hours longevity on 4-5 sprays to the chest with strong projection for the first 2 hours. I wouldn’t mind reapplying because the scent is that good and I’m not using this one every day – definitely a weekend scent. Clings to shirts very well, lasting at least a full day. After it has sit on the skin, smells very smooth and comforting, especially after having been warmed up by your body. Very bright in the beginning, very smooth in the dry-down – a perfect summer fragrance for those lax weekends in the sun.

Scent: 8/10
Longevity: 4/10
Projection: 8/10
Overall: 8/10

It smells so much like Neroli Portofino that if you smelled either one on a person they would be hard to tell apart. They are both absolutely gorgeous. This one is slightly sweeter and has much more orange than NP. They have the same sparkling uplifting magic that makes me dizzy on my feet and takes me back to the azure colored water of Portofino Italy. I actually think I may prefer this one to NP because of the extra citrus. So Gorgeous!!! If you’re lucky enough to live in Italy I envy you. You lucky devils.

jennyfefs

There is something so fresh about the fragrance. From first spray, it reminds me of breaking into a tangerine. The orange is so bright and juicy. A true Unisex option, I don't find it overly floral on the dry down. It just smells clean, fresh, delicious, unusual. Perfect Spring/ Summer daytime scent.

pkman

update: Projection as i said was bad. But i could still smell it on my skin for 10 hours or so, not strong but detectable. On clothes, it is still going 24 hours later. I don't like spraying on clothes but in this case it seems helpful so be it.

pkman

Bought it yesterday and tried it today for the first time. Impressed with how it smells! So fresh and clean and for me quite soapy as well. What a scent! I see people calling this feminine and i don't quite agree. This is the definition of a unisex perfume. A really lovely scent!
On the negative side, don't expect to get any compliments unless people get really close to you. Not really making an impression after the first hour since the projection is very low.
Longevity looks decent though, 4 hours later, i can still smell it on my skin and it is very pleasant, but people sitting a few meters away from me don't even know if i am wearing a perfume. That is disappointing for such an expensive fragrance.
I don't regret buying this since it was on a decent discount but while longevity is decent, sillage is not. So i wouldn't spend more money on that.
If a forte version comes out and if it really is a forte version, then i will gladly make it my main summer fragrance. Until then, i will enjoy this one by smelling it on myself while i work, that's the best i can hope for. And i'm ok with that.

Geo_Aroma

I love it! My favorite summer scent!!! It smells clean soapy citrousy! Exactly likes its name it smells sweet minty mandarin! And the best of all is that lasts I can smell it on my clothes after one day and on skin lasts all day! Such a delightful joyfull fragrance!

gorjan78

Wow !!!

SOAP. Orange-scented soap is what I get here.

The bottle is so gorgeous and a whiff out of the bottle smelled citrusy and bright. After about a minute on my wrist, it reminded me of the miniature shaped soap people kept in their bathrooms for display only in the 80s.

Heifrank

One of the best clean white t-shirt, summer, happyness scents. I lile this better than the original which I found leaning a bit feminin. Many scents do the same thing, but not many do it as good as this.

Olfactory Obsession

The most beautiful opening of a citrus frag out there. The first 30 mins is what I'm hoping for to last longer, after that I became anosmic. To bad coz I love the opening. The balance of citrus and floral notes is amazing but again it doesn't last long. I have a 5 ml decant on my pocket if I'm wearing this to re-spray myself every 3 hours. I also bought a body spray of this to keep the longevity for at least 4-6 hours. Hope the parfum version of this has better longevity coz I really love this fragrance.

RB75

The other week I decided to look for a new summer scent and tested Mandarino di Amalfi.
My oh my...... this is wonderful. Citrus, mint, wild flowers. I can smell it all. In fact it is a herbal citrus scent with lots of thyme.
It is very refreshing and sensual. Refined and high quality.
I read that people complain about the longevity, on me this last forever.
The first 4 hours it has a good projection but then becomes a skin scent. However then it stays there for hours. From early morning until late night.
I always apply my perfumes on my arms so I can easily smell it.

For me it’s a fantastic summer scent and I guess I’m one of those that get a very good performance with this Acqua version.
I love it so much I think I will get a 30 ml bottle of the EdP version for vacation.
Will revert with a review. Hope the longevity is just as good on the EdP.

clintjr82

The intial spray of the Orange/Lemon Blast was ridicuoulsy good, fresh and refined. But the dry down I didnt care for. This is a skin scent. This, Costa azzura, and Neroli acqua are Tom Fords best citrus fresh scents. Only buy if your prepared to spray every 3 hrs.

Skayalily

This opens with a positively HUGE burst of lemon. It's only alright; at least it doesn't smell like cleaner spray. It's a bright, fresh, real lemon. It then takes on a "fresh" dryer sheets aspect. Overall, I found the beginning to be unimpressive. It does smooth out into a nice herbal scent. Breezy, light green, field of wildflowers-esque. Overall, for the price, it's mediocre to me. Longevity is decent, it lasts a solid few hours for a citrus dominated fresh scent.

c.davis

Nice fresh lemony orange realistic scent, nothing special though, I like it better than the original. This just has no projection or lasting power.

snoopyQ

It starts out like a cheap lime-flavored washing-up-liquid-scent. Then it morphs into an extremely weak aquatic smell
Sillage is practically not existing and longevity is poor.
All in all it is pleasant and gravely overpriced for what it is.

ritpog

This is good. Very good. It is mature, so wear it accordingly. Orange over a creamy vetivier, and very well done. Not simplistic, not a household cleaner vibe. Sophisticated, successful scent. Wearing this is a bit next level. It is for men, not boys. To me it smells like an attractive man who knows something a boy does not.

aniktwo

I got a sample of this at sephora and I'm obsessed with it. It feels like 4711 but longer lasting. Its fresh and summery - fruity without being overly sweet. I find it odd that some are saying its too masculine for women because I think most men would find it too feminine. It is probably right down the middle - a true androgynous scent

ReapThaWhirlwind

Mandarino di Amalfi Acqua is an aquatic citrus floral. This formula stays pretty true to the original essence, but tones down the green notes quite a bit to craft a more linear fresh fragrance.

I've worn them back-to-back, so I can testify that the Acqua version could easily be considered a fresher version of the original; especially to those who might be sensitive to the evergreen arrangement at the center of the original.

This formula places a stricter emphasis on the citrus presence. And from first spray, noticeably projects a lot juicer because of that.

The opening presents your with a very bright, aquatic tangerine citrus. It's very deep, and natural smelling. A little sweet—with a mellow zest to it. The florals take place beside this, and are fairly well-blended with the citrus. I get mostly orange blossom, with a subtle wildflower arrangement backing it up. They are also very natural smelling, and you can almost pick up the green parts of the flowers as well.

Despite being an EDT, the concentration of oils seems pretty high, so it would be best recommended to apply this fragrance in light doses until you achieve your desired effect. It's still one of those fragrances where if you overdo it—there's no going back.

As far as demographic goes, this one is probably too hard stuck in the middle of genres to find an easy suitor for. Maybe not as much as its predecessor, but still considerably enough to require special tastes. It's not entirely bad—but might only be worth checking out if you're desperate to add some diversity in your range.

Only so much could be done for it I guess. I'd be surprised to find someone that was thoroughly satisfied (even with even this formula of the fragrance) so that it becomes apart of their standard life. It's just still missing that special something in my opinion.

lmwimsatt

I don't understand why everyone is saying this is feminine. This is the epitome of masculinity. A woman could not pull this off

beachbum1970

I tried this at Sephora and loved it. Bought the 1.7 OZ bottle on the spot. I get orange and a hint of mint. Fantastic. A little on the feminine side, but I'm ok with that. Smells delicious. Very summery and makes me feel happy. 1-2 sprays lasts on me for just a few hours, but 3-4 sprays with an extra spritz on my clothes lasts me a good 6-8 hours. Expensive, but a satisfying indulgence.

CjCarson88

Way overpriced for what youre getting. Projection and longevity are really lacking and it just smells like orange peels. I dont get any "acqua" notes whatsoever

The bottle is very aesthetic but other than that, this fragrance is a hard pass for me

lmwimsatt

Whoa. All of a sudden there are a ton more notes listed

Housebliss

I've worn this for a while now. It smells great, and it's pretty similar to the original. I find it hard to tell them apart. They both last a very long time on my skin (12 + hours). Fresh, citrus, floral.

My only complaint is projection. I'm pretty sure people can't smell it on me. Even my girlfriend who sometimes notices what I'm wearing 40 feet away (she has a heightened sense of smell), hasn't commented on it, be it positive or negative. People at work haven't said anything either, and they always tell me what they think no matter what I'm wearing.

I really like this, but projection on me is non-existent, and that's a huge disappointment considering how great it smells. I'd like to add that many fragrances people deem to have low projection, projects extremely well on me (fragrances in general), so I'm not blaming my skin.

Ggillespie

The more I wear I realize that something in the drydown reminds me of Clinique Happy.

Ggillespie

I notice people discussing longevity and silage, I've noticed with this particular fragrance that spraying on clothes, vs skin, really helps. The opening is all citrus, lemon and orange. Very fabuloso (a house cleaner) smelling, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I love it, it's like a piece of lemon hard candy. I get a brief mint (the reason I purchased this scent) and then the floral sets in. I also really get a burst of thyme that sticks around deep into drydown. I love Tom Ford. I try to hate his fragrances. They are pricey and pretentious. But I can't help it, everything I try, I consider a masterpiece. This isn't as complex as some of his other scents but I still really love it. Easy to wear and school/work appropriate. If you offend someone with this scent, they were looking to be offended about something. Only thing is, this really seems fem. I hate that fragrances are even categorized anymore, but I just don't wear this and imagine a man loving it for himself. Depends on the man, though, I guess. It's just very light and fresh

The scent character of this is beautiful! I don't think anyone on the face of the earth could dislike this. It is quite unique to me and i even get a kind of sun lotion vibe deep in to the dry down. The only downside for me is that it definitely leans more on the feminine side! So although i probably wouldn't own this myself, i would imagine it smelling awesome on a girlfriend etc.

Bought this for myself, and when first comparing it to Neroli Portofino acqua, I thought this was the better of the two. After a few wears however, I realized this was a bit too floral for my taste on me. I ended up giving this to my wife, who now LOVES it. Overall I love the smell, but it just barely crosses that "too feminine" line for me.

wow this is very much a women's scent this is lovely. All I really get from this Orange Blossoms which I am not complaining about. I do worry its to lite and wont have much staying power but I probably wouldn't mind spraying it on me more because it smells so good.

Michael1962

Slightly toned down citrus when compared with the original MdA but with a more pronounced floral note which makes it slightly more syrupy.
Natural smelling and as captivating as ever but maybe redundant if you already own Mandarino di Amalfi.
Longevity and sillage is on par with its father lol.

@quim nice to see you picked up a classic! VUI is magnificent! I too enjoy this frag, fortunately got a sample and while these scents lack longevity, the smell is captivating.

Enjoy your Valentino!

Mandarino di Amalfi Acqua smells amazing! I fell in love with it at first sniff and I went back to Nordstrom a few weeks later and bought it. I should have picked up a sample for testing first though. As good as this smells, I found the performance to be pretty disappointing for the price. I sprayed some on my arm, within 30-45 minutes it was a skin scent and I couldn't smell it at all after about 2 hours.

I ended up returning it and for an extra $20-25, I bought a 3.4 oz bottle of Valentino Uomo Intense for myself and a 5 oz bottle of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre for my wife. If you can find a good deal on this, it may be worth it as it smells amazing. I really enjoy the smell, but I couldn't rationalize paying the retail price for something that doesn't really last.

Fresh bright citrus, but on the sweet candy like side.

It's unfortunate how accurate and pure it smells, although, to most it'll come off as that "artificial flavor candy" scent. But this is what Amalfi lemon actually smells like.
The base is very well done, you can smell the Lavender all the way down, good and long lasting too. Great for summer. Lasts long even while sweating outside.

Absolutely amazing. I cannot stop smelling my wrist when I wear this. Multidimensional. Citrusy. I get a lot of grapefruit along with other citrus scents. It builds and changes throughout the day. I cannot get enough of it. It has layers of mint and floral that just work together in fascinating ways. There is also some mandarin...just a fascinating experience wearing this! I wouldn't think I'd like mint in a scent, but it just is so complementary to the other scents in the fragrance. Very tranquil. Evokes imagery of laying out amidst heavenly pools surrounded by manicured lawns and lush gardens with the best service and care money can buy.

this is so good and I can't stop smelling it. unfortunately it doest go well with my skin ph. this must obviously be better suited for a man as I've never had a personal interference with any women's perfumes. which makes sense really granted all people supposedly have such different chemistries. the most distinct difference is that women and men are proven to have a different ph. I mean women and men do smell different, there is a reason we have gender specific perfumes. I'll be passing this on to my boyfriend

My favorite just got better!!!

psycobata

Tone down the citrus, amp up the floral. Better longevity. Feminine leaning but I don't care. Great for spring.
