The opening is a bit harsh but its my main winter date fragrance which is awesome. I think it works better than spicebomb extreme. Its more unique

atticus1990

A ”poor“ mans PdM Oajan.

By all means this is a great scent, but I simply dont get why you would buy this when you could get Oajan. If anything I’d say this is a hint fresher, but not to where its suited for any occation where you couldnt use the PdM.. If you are a TF fanboy or simply have a huge collection, get this. But for anybody else, get Oajan.

A superb compliment getter especially in colder weather. I have my gf glued to my neck everytime i wear this and in my friend circle its one of the only consistent compliment getters i have. If you like a stronger and more potent version of noir extreme edp this is definitely the choice for you.
The only downside worth mentioning is that it can be overwhelming when you are in a crowded setting.

Welshguy

This stuff is ridiculously overpowering and way too strong. It actually even caused a rash on my skin and I had to scrub it off after an hour or so of wearing it when I tested a sample. Even then, I could still smell it! I'm actually glad this happened in a way because I tend to sample most fragrances now, not just for the scent but to test if they're ok on my skin after this experience. The scent itself is highly repulsive, basically imagine an old woman who's just eaten a few lipsticks but happens to be a very heavy smoker breathing down your neck, but she's recently had a hot chilli kebab and has a flower in her top pocket. That's the scent profile in my opinion!

Perhaps someone out there would love it, but I would massively recommend sampling first.

Yuck!

TheTrackEnthusiast

Stunning scent profile, but performs poorly and doesn’t project. When you consider the price it’s a hard sell. This is one i blind bought and do love it but may try the EDP next time.

I currently have Noir Extreme on one hand and Noir Extreme Parfum on my other hand. Both are dark, spicy, and sweet. The parfum is superior. It's more everything. More complex. Spicier. Better projecting, but still not beast mode. The leather really gives it a backbone. Highly recommended. If you get one, get the parfum.

AstralMatrix

When it dries down on my skin, although the notes don't say it has tobacco, Noir Extreme Parfum reminds me of Series Tabac by Parfums Vintage. This is by far my favorite Tom Ford fragrance.

montee

Compared to Noir Extreme, this is more spicy! more aromatic! more X-rated.

You'd need to fit the character of being this super elite figure to make this alluring. This can be headache inducing if over-sprayed. Lovely scent though, it's not as dessert-y as I initially thought, though the cream-like sweetness is very much detectable.

Note that this is still a designer scent and is as approachable as you'd expect it to be, nothing outlandish or groundbreaking... so expect it to be wearable, likable, and respectful.

StuddedLeather

I love the original Noir Extreme, but the parfum just ain't it. It feels like all the depth of the original is just replaced with this overwhelming dark fart note. Picture a beautiful drawing on a dry erase board that's just smudged into an inky blob mess.

This is my take from having this for 3 months. Tried it on a tester smelled amazing. However on MY skin for the past 3 months I dont get the same fragrance I tried on the tester. Untill I read a review on some other fragrance where they said that that fragrance needed a slower thicker spray to really get the smell on. I tried it and there the fragrance I tested in the mall was. I got everything I wanted. Love Vanilla so the dry down really suits me. Gourmand and rich and edible. Opening I dont get warm spicy. It is spicy but not warm like when it dries down and by then the spice is mostly gone. It has a freshness not like a fresh fragrance but the spice is high up if that makes sense ( opposite to deep and rich). But still a strong fragrance.

Since spring in Sweden is cold ass b*lls this suits during spring as well as fall and winter and I've gotten comments that I smell like a pastry so i guess thats good.

If you are looking to use this for when with a lady I recommend spraying it on quite a while before and maybe not being so afraid to spray. 2 slow controlled sprays on every hot spot except for the elbows and you should get her attention if far away. If up close and intimate I suggest only doing 1 on each one including elbows, maybe do 2 on the front of the neck.

Amazing prafume if you want something different, all tho it smells like an old person? Might be just my wife and me, but you know the smell when you enter the cafe and you smell the «old person smell» kind of soap smell? Atleast at he start.
The end of the smell is more like axe doeo like smell but weak.

Still amazing smell so 8/10

Zany-Geek

I really wanted to like this, blind buy, loved the first 30 mins and then on my skin it just turns into an old lady's makeup bag. I sold my bottle as powder/makeup bag is just not a scent I like personally.. You can tell it's quality though.

dlaor7020

I love the smell, good longevity, but the sillage is near non existent, which is sad because of its price, how good it smells and that it is a parfum.

plarpyJoe

Smells delectable, my first high end cologne and I couldn't be happier. First few minutes are very spicy and fun and then as it dries down its gets to creamy sweetness. I love all of its phases and It is well balanced and subtle throughout.

cleonlidaris

To me it's as if every Tom Ford has this woody, leather, aromatic base to it, and then they just put some random other scent on top. I hate pretty much all woody, leather aromatic scents and therefore almost all tom ford is just gross to me, basic af, literally smells like shit please stop wearing them. anyway this fragrance tho is top tier, 10/10 (maybe black orchid is the only other tolerable one). this scent will probably remain the only scent in my collection in that dna, and it is an absolute banger. it is sexy and seductive. i actually prefer the extreme af clone bc it is more wearable, less dark, and therefore i think if you do only a couple sprays that variant can even be worn year round. if you're like me and think woody/leather/aromatics are ass, try this and then ignore the rest of the genre because youre correct

TWN2RBO

Tom Ford managed to make the top notes smell like something else, more incense / leather / spice like Sahara Noir was sneaking in, then the mid and base come back to Noir Extreme, almost like you are getting two fragrances for the price of one. The mid and base side by side with the OG are about 80% the same. I want to like this better, but I don’t think it warrants a purchase, I love Noir Extreme, it’s tried and true gentleman in a bottle and women go nuts over it. Nice release, fantastic scent.

Brave828

Update: This is without doubt one of the absolute best men’s sweet fragrances- boozy, buttery, and dark. The leather and woodiness deftly balance the sweetness to create an elevated aura. While I’ve read comments pointing to lack of longevity, mine performs solidly lasting 8 hours after 6 sprays. That said, it may have had time to macerate as I bought it off someone that had had it for a while. 9/10

Goldy Jalaf

Like this fragrance, but somehow after 2-3 hours I barely smell on my skin, on clothes easy 6-7 hours, I wish it last more

Brc86

Delicious and sexy smell - poor performance.

Ideal for a date as it sits close to your skin. It is inviting….

Leonard85

Wow For me it is the best perfume from the Tom Ford line, when I wear it I get a lot of compliments, it feels warm as if you were wrapped in suava leather and cardamom A subtle vanilla and a sweet amber, which makes it addictive for the nose

gorin

Excellent stuff
Smells exactly how you would imagine from the notes
The pronounced Kulfi note is awesome
Smooth, classy and sexy

These types of perfume are why Tom Ford is one of my favourite designers

the edp is shit compared to the parfum
9/10

JaySentz

Initially liked this spicy leathery vanilla scent, but unfortunately the neroli just doesn’t agree with the other elements as it dries down. It gives an almost cumin like effect that is similar to the one in Spice bomb Extreme which doesn’t work for me. I like most TF fragrances but this one is a pass to my nose.

Olddirtyhoodie

Believe the hype. My partner is crazy for this one. My #1 smell. Use it for dates and events. It cuts through a crowd. Not just that this cologne takes you on a trip of sweet, dark, spicy, smoky scents over a generous amount of time. First few hours fills the room, mid day is in arms length, still smell it on skin around dinner time. Just an absolute pleasure of a smell.

blackhands

I usually do not write reviews, but this fragrance deserves love and respect. The darkness that it induces can bring out some intense emotions, artistry and reflection. Its sexy and alluring; It does leave an aura of mystery as long as you don't make eye contact with people around you. So wear black sunglasses with your elegant black outfit !
And yes Love, it gets the compliments and bla bla bla ...

Fragmance

One of my favourites. Great by itself but great mixer to use with other perfumes. 10/10.

violeteme

Noir Extreme is a very unique fragrance, that kulfi note is something I haven't smelled before.
The first phases are quite usual - dark, vanillic, spicy, compote-like rose, but after an hour or so it moves to that unique stage where I was immediately very surprised "what is this that I am smelling?". That being said, I am still not amazed by it. Something about it is sharp and unpleasant. And it is much more aromatic than Fragrantica's page conveys.

Brave828

One of the absolute best men’s sweet scents. It’s luxurious, buttery, and dark. The scent profile might lead some to think that it’s feminine, but the leather and woodiness balance out the sweetness and thus create an elevated men’s fragrance. I’ve read comments pointing to lack of longevity. Mine performs solidly lasting around 8-10 hours after around 5 sprays. That said, it may have had time to macerate as I bought it off someone that had had it for a while.

ASHRAF RAAFAT ADLY MIKHAI

It resembles CD vanilla Diorama.
But a little more spicy. And more sweet.
Nice scent.

llineis

It is a beautiful lovely scent. You have to try though before a buy. It is sweet, tasty and transforms into leathery, dark scents makes it very mysterious. Sillage is an issue cause it disappears mainly after 3-4 hours and sits close to the skin. Tom Ford's atomizers are realy economic so you can overspray it like 12-15 shots. You only risk it will be more addictive an more pleasant.
Nevertheless for that price poitn we should receive a better parameters.

Great for a date and close encounters. ;) Useless if you want to go to club and be detected.

ameda

Reviews on this have been somewhat mixed, so I had to try it out on my skin. My review is mixed as well. Gorgeous opening - seeming more creamy and gourmand than previous iterations, but clearly of the TF Noir family. I would need to try again and take note of how long the really appealing sexy bit lasts in order to gauge the value of this fragrance. Performance was not extraordinary, with the bulk of the dry down dominated by cashmeran and cetalox - two pleasant, but extremely common, inexpensive synthetic materials. The finish at around hour six is unpleasantly ashy and latexy. Overall, I don't feel like this version is an elevated experience and I don't prefer it to either previous formula.

zm3

Beautiful fragrance, extremely well blended. However this is extremely sweet and masculine, not for all audiences. I was quite dissatisfied with the sillage and longevity despite the price i paid. I could barely smell it after 4 hours, and neither could others. Great for winter, nice cedar note and beautiful vanilla/leather combo.

siUK

Really like the original Tom Ford Noir extreme but didnt always last very long on my skin...This is almost 90% the same but has slightly better performance....great balance of sweet, warm and spicy...its alot more expensive than releases like Jean Paul Le Male Elixir, which spare a similar space (Vanilla/Tonka heavy) but I really like this and full bottle worthy! ;)

Research

Great fragrance...warm, beautiful, sweet smell....gourmand. Great for cold weather. I wore it on Christmas. Performance does seem to be an issue. It could be a case of nose blindness but it doesn't matter to me. I just reapply. Highly recommend!

Christos08

Sitting at the top of the designer fragrance table always has to be Tom fords noir extreme parfum it is an addictive almost edible fragrance. Everything here is great but as always with designer fragrances performance can be an issue but not here wear this correctly and it can perform well. A slight moisturising of good quality unfragranced moisturiser will carry this fragrance into niche performance. The kings of designer fragrances are Dior homme intense and this both deliver something that most designer fragrances fail to do and this is that they are unique and stand out from the crowd. Noir extreme parfum was an award winner in 2023 and rightly so it is a beautiful fragrance and perfect around autumn winter spicy warm sweet guormond brilliance. Although I switched to niche based on performance issues with most designer fragrances I will always have a bottle of this and Dior homme intense both are amazing

Ksj_

Fragrance rarely stimulates my imagination like it supposedly does for these fragrance reviewers. I usually have a more practical approach to fragrance, it smells good or doesn't; and this smells fantastic.

Side note:

It is better than the previous versions before it. But all I get is a more refined version of it's predecessors.

It's definitely worth trying.

Vape

Sits alongside Spicebomb extreme in my collection, it's a beautifully sweet and edible gourmand but similar to the V&W offering (2023 bottle) I wish the overall performance was better.

denden_22

Oh wow, this is very special - haven't smelled anything comparable - it's really nice! From the beginning you can tell - this stuff is very high quality. Great performance of about 10 hours on skin, and i can still smell it on my raincoat after having worn it 2 days before that... The vanilla is very prominent, some kulfi (milky-vanilla custard) with some flowery notes (i guess the rose and orange blossom) and some very noticeable suede, don't get much wood, a little bit of cardamom but not too spicy - I think having "warm spicy" as the main accord is too much - vanilla, leather, sweet should be above that.

I REALLY like this. Don't overspray -- 1 spray might be enough, 2 if you're going out.
Pretty close to a damn masterpiece. Tom Ford has Tom Ford prices - hence i won't be getting this unless on some crazy discount. :-(

Watchthethrone

This smells a little similar to CH Men Prive.. wonder if anyone else can see the similarity

Lednut2009

Bought this as a blind buy and it's not what I expected. (DO NOT BLIND BUY) Not a versatile enough scent imo plus I already have somewhat similar scents such as Spicebomb Extreme which serve the same purpose. Am willing to trade/sell a bottle which I sprayed a few times on testers with box included for around $160-$170 money/value. PM if interested.

FragheadMo

The kulfi note in the original was too strong for my liking, in this new parfum, they balanced everything from the og and added some leather and amber. I like this one a lot more, a masculine NE. Though i'm not the biggest fan of gourmands.

8/10

WGG

The OG with amber thrown in for extra spice. Lynx has a body spray, Vanilla Oud Wood. My goodness its close, at a fraction of the price. Sorry but its true. But try it, its rather good. And I'll stick with the OG and its gorgeous gourmand creaminess thanks.
3.5/5

Pwaladdi

Definitely has similar dna to vanille fatale. Love both of them. Leaves me craving for more. Longevity is great.

Beanman1._

for older men, i like it but the drydown is nauseating for me. over sweet drydown but very nice opening.
This is more of a date night fragrance and not something you'd wear going to school or work.

Gamecocks1!

I absolutely love this one it is darker than the edp. I still love the edp though but the parfum is better on longevity

TT_Joker4

The sweetness, leather, spices, woodiness blended so perfectly it settles your soul. This is my go-to banger for the winter season. Interestingly this doesn't feel unisex to me, doesn't give feminine male vibes as well. A sexy gourmand frag for a sexy bloke.

JangJun

Smell at first, I think to Spicebomb extreme and pdm Herod. But stronger, warmer and thicker scent follow TF < SBE

Badbili

Very sexy, warm, slightly spicy, masculine scent. Makes me want to bury my face in my husband’s neck. I don’t care how pricy it is. 10 out of 10.

NecessaryExistence

Sweet, rich, yet masculine. Very sexy. This stuff is amazing. I feel very sophisticated and mature when I wear this. The Parfum is vastly superior to the EDP. The only winter fragrance I need. 9.5/10. I think this leans masculine, but a woman could pull this off for sure.

prancingponytail

I swear Gabriel from the movie Constantine must smell like this. Opens up incredibly feminine but dries down unmistakably masculine, it's a pleasure to watch it developing with its androgynous nature.

lafantaisie

This is a true winter fragrance. I love this so much I'll wear it on the hottest summer day. This perfume is the definition of spicy and is perfect for a winter night out. Other people say it smells "sexy" (it does) but I'd say it's more alluring and intriguing. It's powdery and may be a bit mature for younger dudes but is still amazing regardless.

Max Metrik

My favourite winter frag. To me it smells much better, more complex, than those overhyped winter fragrances like VR SB Extreme or Azzaro MW EDP. I would say it's more of a cosy fragrance, rather than sexy. Chunky turtleneck with a wool coat kind of vibe. But not as peaceful and safe as other popular winter fragrances though.

kakasuke

This. Smells. Delicious.

The opening is smoky with a hint of sweet. The dry down is where it truly comes alive though. The sweetness settles into a warm spicy sweetness. It's so smooth and so very moreish.

Gamecocks1!

I absolutely love it

Amerko

Woooww 10/10 😍😍😍

EmJay87

Sometimes I roll my eyes when fragrances are described as “sexy”. A person can be sexy, and the situation or person they’re wearing a fragrance around can be sexy, but can a fragrance on its own be sexy?

Apparently yes, because this s**t is sexy hahaha.

This maintains the powdery, almost feminine nature of the EDP, but is markedly more dense and thus, a more masculine version than the more unisex Noir Extreme EDP. I’ve tried both, and I like both, but for me the Parfum is the way to go as far as “sexy” or “date night” fragrances for a man, but wear what you like - I have no issues with the EDP.

Also, for anyone who has smelled it, there is something in this that reminds me of Dior’s Vanilla Diorama, which is an all time favourite of mine. There’s an almost booziness to the Parfum that has a similarity to Diorama (which contains a rum note, I believe). They don’t smell the same, even though they share that DNA, but I’d say Diorama is an elegant, classy version of Noir Extreme Parfum, and NEP is a more raw, sexier version of Diorama.

Vikkinca

There is not much difference in scent to the EDP. Wearing them on my arms I can barely tell them apart. The Parfum is ashy and dry, where Noir Extreme EDP is creamier and sweeter. But those differences are so minute, hard to detect, that in the air they would smell the same to majority of people. The cigarette (ash) and leather you get strong whiffs of in the dry-down of the Parfum. In the right setting it would probably work better.

I am grappling with getting a bottle of the Parfum because I already have the EDP. That all gold bottle is alluring, along with the performance of the fragrance - it projects and lasts longer on me than the EDP. That's not to say the performance of the EDP is poor, because I get at least 10 hours from it.

If you don't have either iteration you really have to test them because I would find it difficult to give you my recommendation. As mentioned I have the EDP and absolutely adore it, but I feel the same way about the Parfum because they are so close in scent profile. I honestly feel you only need one of them - whatever your choice.

Maya lilac

Noir Extreme Perfume it was a love at first sniff. I remember testing it for the first time in Milan in Sephora during early spring. I was very impressed with the way it smells and performs but in my opinion it’s mainly a fall and winter scent so I said I will give it another try before deciding to buy when falls comes. Tested it last week and nothing changed, it is an outstanding scent.

Cardamom is a very particular note in fragrances and very popular now but it never seems to work for me in fragrances when it is the start note. Until Noir Extreme Parfum…

This scent is heavy on cardamom from the first second I spray it until it completely fades from my skin 12 hours later but it’s more than just a cardamom scent. It has lots of supporting notes amongst which the most detectable to my nose are: kulfi, vanilla and amber, orange blossom, neroli, rose, jasmine, citruses, ginger, suede, cedar, guaiac wood and tonka bean. It’s a very intense, delicious, dimensional fragrance, well blended and nicely balanced between all these complex notes, and it’s leaning gourmand on me. Moderate spiciness and sweetness, nothing in excess.

I wouldn’t say that this is a masculine fragrance at all, it’s rather unisex leaning feminine, having so many strong floral notes and a considerable amount of sweetness in the base.

As previously stated, it is very intense and long lasting. Doesn’t project much after the first five hours but it’s rich and beefy, people do notice it, it leaves a beautiful trail behind, I received several compliments when wearing it. On clothing lasts for days. This is a Tom Ford fragrance done recently, in 2022, and done well, which lasts more than four hours and it’s making me feel sexy when I wear it. Smells expensive and feels luxurious!

Packaging is totally up to my alley, it’s a golden, reflective, mirrored rectangle shape bottle, very simple design but very flashy and eye catching. Love it!

Price wise, is quite expensive I am not going to lie, but I managed to get it on a very good deal online, for nearly half off!

Odor Aeternitatis

I am not a fan of Tom Ford fragrances but I like this one. If I want to pick one from all Tom Ford, this would be the one. This fragrance is very modern, rich, and mysterious. There is something in it that intrigued me and want to smell it again and again.
When you see the list of notes, you see all the pleasant notes that people like: Spicy cardamom and ginger, floral, citrusy, vanilla, leather, tonka bean, and even gourmand notes. These are common notes on designer fragrances and all gathered here, which is usually not a good sign. But the ending result here is well-balanced and refined. It's definitely masterfully created.
What I like about this fragrance is the balance of notes. This fragrance is not too floral too spicy or even gourmand. This is a very solid release.

IWC84

Finally got my hands on this one it was long due considering its price i was always hesitant to pull the trigger i had decanted EDP and loved it since i love sweet fragrances however parfum has a little fresher opening but in the air it’s almost 80% same definitely less sweeter and more fresher compared to EDP also i was told to go for parfum due to its performance so i blind bought it and boy i don’t regret a bit its amazing so refined and classy performance is really good never lets me down.

Magggnus

One of my favourites. Somehow this fragrance lasts an eternity on my skin, I spray it on in the morning and the morning after I still get a whiff og it on my skin.

I actually blind bought this by mistake as I was testing the EDP and liked that, but I love the parfum version even better with the added leathery notes

Guardian2471

An amazing fragrance with a lot of depth but just not my style. The scent is an 8/10 and this is a fragrance that I would recommend checking out.

Bena

Opening | 7

- One of the very best, sweet and desert based openings, very seductive and fun
- unfortunately there is a noticeable herbal note that completely catches you off guard whenever you notice it. It simply does not belong in the mix and it creates a huge hit to the enjoyability of the opening

Dry Down | 8.5

- you get the best parts of the opening while this time getting a nice and vibrant learther along side a warm cardamom to balance out the sweetness.

Overall | 8/10

Longevity |
- Skin scent at ~6 hours

Projection |
- lucky to get 1 feet

Setting/suitability |
- Due to its intimate projection & “sexy” scent profile, dates and one on one events are where it will shine
- Shines better in colder / chiller weather but due to its weak performance it can be worn in warmer climates without being cloying

Price |
- for the price its asking you shouldnt have to compromise this hard on performance

Thatbwoy

I'm not convinced that I can tell how this is wholly different from the EDP. I know I am know I am not thinking that I would be disappointed if I had requested this but had been bought the EDP instead. Its the same with Ombre Leather.

I don't know if there's enough in either the fragrance notes or the performance to be a completely different fragrance. So in that part it is akin t being a true Parfum (if you believe all that crap).

I think this is just as sweet, just as fruity, just as boozy, the Kulfi yeah its there as always. So what is different about this that should persuade you to part with the stupendously high price they are asking you t divvy up?

I really don't know. I mean I like this , and would happily wear it if I had a bottle, but there's the thing I don't want to purchase this as though it one of those fragrances I can happily wear and smell all day long. It's one of those fragrances that I don't think, I'd use in a rotation. I know I would 'forget' it or just wouldn't be in the mood for.

I really like this , I just don't think I could bring myself to buy it. It's a great fragrance its just not special enough

7/10

Merra_G

Super spicy, sexy and warm. Personally I don’t get any of the floral ingredients, which I don’t mind. It reminds me of a Stockholm bakery minus the coffee. Performance could be better.

dayonee

In search of a warm vanilla scent to use for the upcoming fall/winter, I came to own a few popular perfumes. Spicebomb extreme, Le Male Elixir and Detour noir. Really like SB, only didn't expected it to be as spicy as it is. Le Male was okay, a bit sweeter than I would have liked but still good. DN was not good at all for me.

Now this is just right. Perfect amount of sweetness with a hint of freshness. Very well blended and smooth. Really liked the EDP but decided on the Parfum because of the relative freshness. Highly recommend this (or the EDP) if you are looking for a cool weather scent that are not too sweet.

itsallaboutmega

I already own the women's version of this fragrance, but I decided to buy this one after reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews. It definitely shares some similarities with Noir Pour Femme, so it's unnecessary to own both fragrances. Nevertheless, I'll keep this perfume because of its wonderful scent, impressive longevity, and stunning bottle design.

ZeaMoore4

There is So much going on here. This fragrance isn't a character. This is a whole trilogy in one bottle. It's great and horrible at the same time. The ingredients are top notch. The scent is Perfectly blended. You can pick up so many difficult notes individually at the same time when you try. But you get a perfect mix of everything when you just catch a wiff of it. I blind bought this. And at first, i didn't like it, and i put it up for sale. But. It's growing on me. I keep going back to smell the bottle. Then I started spraying my arm, to smell it on skin over time. Now I keep using it.

To me this is a 9/10. It needs a bit more projection for a 10/10. But as a Parfum, it's a strong, beautiful story of a fragrence.

It is Not blind buy safe, both due to the advanced level of perfumery, and because of the price.

Post Edit:
2 months later, i've sold my bottle, regretted selling it, bought a new bottle, and sold that one too ;-D. Basically, i sold the first one and bought the Noire Extreme EDP. Loved it, and still do. But i also missed the smell of the Parfum. So i bought it again. Loved it. Used it several times until i caught a sniff of myself when i was out for a walk. I smell like cigarettes and horse manure. Very much Not a good smell. I thought it was weird, but probably not the way it actually smells, as it is gorgeous when you smell the bottle. But, yes, this makes me smell like horse manure and half smoked cigarettes. So i sold the second bottle and I'm done with it. I'd recommend buying a decant or trying it from a friend/store a few times before you buy. Even if you love the smell straight from the bottle, this is one of those fragrances that can turn on you if you have the wrong body chemistry. The Noire Extreme EDP has done the same to me twice, but much less noticeable and i've used up about 20ml of my 100ml bottle with only 2 unpleasant sniffs, so i'd call that acceptable.

jsneaux5

Really solid fragrance that’s best suited for winter/fall. Opens up with a strong burst of vanilla, oranges, and ginger. The dry down is where it’s at. The previous notes listed settles in, and cinnamon begins to pop. For me, it projects at about arms length on 4-6 sprays. Not blind buy worthy. But definitely a solid pick up for those who like a complex , sophisticated , and alluring scent. I typically wear this one in the court room, dates, and church.

Point of note, I don’t need my girl to love the way I smell from across the room. I want her to love the way I smell up close so that she never wants to leave my side. And when I do leave, I want the heavier oil content of a parfum to linger so that she is reminded of me.

Ba2siK

Great unique sweetness. better than the original.

subemx

This is lovely, I cannot stop smelling it.
Got a decant of the EDP 2 weeks ago, only put it 2 times. Liked it, but felt something is missing.
Went to the beauty shop around town today and got me the 100 ml Parfume NE. This is friggin awesome,
it does no big difference, but the few it does, it takes it to a whole new level.
2nd fave right after Naxos, hope I won't change opinion later :p

Dolce Gabbana Enthusiast

It's good but nothing crazy. 7.5/10
It smells like vanilla, wood and soft spices

This perfume does smell amazing but doesn't last long on my skin, I can't even smell it after couple of hours so not really a long lasting fragrance. My batch is from January 2023 and maybe they have made it weaker now because I did try an older batch and it did last longer on my skin comparing to new bottle i bought.

Greatnessss

It is rare to like and buy a fragrance right away. I have tried and loved many fragrances from the Tom Ford collection, but none have impressed me enough to make me buy them - until now. This fragrance is different. It definitely appeals to both men and women. The sweetness offers some femininity, while the underlying dark aftershave notes add some masculinity. For me, it's the perfect balance.

This fragrance creates a really attractive feeling. Sweet, dark, rich, creamy, woody and spicy - a really seductive mix. I can easily imagine you wearing a black dress, it's on my wrist right now and I can't resist the scent. It's incredibly addictive and alluring.

Jbreezo823

expensive but worth it got it as a hs graduation present definitely smells like the price my dad paid for (275$usd) and it’s very strong I’ve gotten so many compliments from woman with this cologne 10/10

Oud Wood...meh
Ombre Leather...okay
Tobacco Vanille...decent for the right occasion

Noir Extreme Parfum...now we're talking. This is a perfectly blended spicy fragrance with just the right amount of smokiness. Glad I didn't give up on TF fragrances before trying this one. Will definitely be revisiting.

As a woman, @GAD07 … yes absolutely yes… if I smell this on a guy especially if I’m cuddled up with him, whoooooo we ain’t getting out of bed for a couple of hours…

What you have to remember when writing parfum reviews is, fragrances are licensing products. Company X buys a license to market Product Y under the license of Company Y. What they come up with is up to them.

That said, after buying 20.000 USD€ of fragrances over the last decade, if they can keep up the quality of this juice, FIRE 🔥

If you like my thoughts, hit the 👍 button.

For those have sampled PDM Althair and are familiar with TF Noir Extreme (parfum in particular)……are they comparable?

GAD07

THIS IS HOW TO TELL HER TO SIT ON YOUR FACE WITHOUT SAYING IT!

IT GIVES YOU THE SAME SEDUCING AROMA THE EDP HAD BUT WITH A MORE EROTIC COMPLEXITY

It's Tom Ford. He rarely gets shit wrong. Nuff said.

Before I bought this, I tried it at a Sephora. Like many of their testers, the fragrance lost some of its power and I only got to smell the drydown. The drydown is vanilla and leather, and I was happy enough to buy a fresh bottle to get the whole scent profile.

The opening is sweet and bright, and it reminds me of Armani Code Absolu, only softer in a good way. Code Absolu is a bit loud for my taste, while Noir Extreme Parfum is softer and more refined. The amber makes this a classier profile. The spice doesn't go overboard. It's just right for my taste.

At the onset, this smells a bit unisex. While people would suggest this is a cool weather fragrance, I feel that this fragrance begs for sunlight. It's playfully sweet.

As it dries down, the leather surfaces with a creamy vanilla and turns the scent more masculine. The cardamom spice hangs around the perimeter with tonka bean and amber. The overall scent darkens with the beautiful leather note, and it get better as it dries. I love the drydown way more than the opening.

This is a very solid fragrance. I feel it's mostly for playful occasions. If you like Armani Code Absolu, I think you'll like this for its similarity and differences.

Personally, my nose draws me towards dark, masculine, smoky scents, so it's odd that I like this one so much. However, this is a good changeup for my collection.

c0rtland

Light and airy. I’d say this has half the performance of costa azura parfum. I’m surprised actually. Extreme? Parfum? Nope. Smells great though.

ZorbaTheBuddha29

Holy fuck! What did I just smell! Makes me close my eyes and just keep on sniffing on the juice. So alluring, erotic yuminess. Mmmmmmm! Seriously awesome! EDP on Steroids :)

Love this perfume.Smells like the original version, but with little bit less sweetness and the performance is better! Now is in my top 5 perfumes!!!

NezParfumeur

Who is the nose/perfumer behind this fragrance?

Peanut44

This is the opposite of Guinea54 in a bottle. Smells very good and fresh

senthypulls

Its one of the most underrated tom ford fragrances, Its the most romantic and sweet yet masculine smell. Perfect for date night I must recommend this for anyone who wants a nice sweet fragrance

MorabitoMusk

I finally bought this on fragrencebuy and as it maserates it should be perfect for autumn and beyond as I found out last winter that nothing smells better in cold weather than this. Get it at a discount. If you like this then I can also recommend Mancera - Red Tabacco.

AnosmiaAnosognosia

I have Noir Extreme as well, although kind of redundant, I wanted both. This takes it in a slightly different direction in the same ballpark. I love it! I picked this up from a recent sale for $184 100 ml. Expensive, yes, but I will enjoy it for years to come. These are pretty easy to find in stores, so no need to blind buy. Addicting!

ali_minaj

i love Noir Extreme more than this one .. because the original one Smell Better! something is just missing with this one... but this ones LONGEVITY is really Better than the original one

lidor

perfect leather & vanilla fragrance

picknenders

It's a timeless scent that exudes class and masculinity while being understand and without being saturated with tooth rotting sweetness. As i continue to dwindle my collection, this will remain.

sandybony15

@JoshMonkey there is definitely no similarity between Tom Ford Noir Extreme Parfum and PI at all. I own both fragrances. It is not because they are ambery gourmand that they are similar. I get a greenness and smokiness that I do not get in PI, plus the milky gourmand notes.

Sniff Grand Soir instead then Pi (past the really aromatic opening phase) and then you will
see a real affiliation. It is so big! I cannot even believe that people are willing to pay so much for Grand Soir and label it a masterpiece when PI was released more than 20 year ago.

andrewg

A masterpiece.

The bottle does this stuff justice because the scent is liquid gold. Overall, it's a warm, masculine, comforting, and perfectly balanced blend that improves upon the EDP in many ways.

The Scent:
Throughout the wearing, the soft warm spices, vanilla, and a clean/fresh leather are the most prominent notes with the florals in the background balancing out the deeper notes and smoothing the fragrance out. The citrus/ginger combo is mostly noticeable in the opening and gives it a sophisticated, oriental touch. The dry-down brings out more of the vanilla making it smell similar to Vanilla Diorama, but with enough leather and spices sticking around to keep it complex, balanced, and masculine. It smells like only the highest quality ingredients were used. The fact that Tom Ford uses a vanilla that smells the same as the over-$300 Vanilla Diorama, but charges over $100 less, is amazing.

Comparison to Noir Extreme EDP:
The EDP comes off as sweeter and more floral to me, and is of course missing that wonderful leather note making it more unisex/feminine leaning. The Parfum version takes a more balanced approach by toning down the florals, adding the soft but masculine leather, and by replacing whatever made the EDP too sweet with more beautiful, smooth vanilla. I think the Parfum version is highly underrated on Fragrantica, despite it's current 4.33/5 rating. It's a masterpiece that only improves on what the EDP did well.

Performance:
This lasts all day on me and consistently projects an arm's length with a heavy sillage. It's enough projection to enjoy all day without smoking people out of the room.

Overall Ranking (using my own weighted ranking):
-Scent: 49/50
-Quality of blend: 15/15
-Versatility: 6/10 (better for cool weather, but works at night time in warmer seasons)
-Timelessness: 5/5
-Performance (longevity, projection, sillage): 17/18
-Value: 1/2

Total Score: 93/100 or 9.3/10

COFFISDEAD

This one is truly a magnificent scent!

Carina Ferrreira

I was wearing this perfume exactly on the day I found the woman I love. It will always be memorable. This is a very symbolic fragrance for me. A sweet, sensual and very comforting scent. Reminds me of tobacco and incense! Right now, it's my favorite perfume from the brand!

JonnyFrags

I sampled this at Bergdorf Goodman and instantly fell in love.

I think this is such a beautifully composed fragrance with the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and woody. I remember sampling Noir Extreme EDP a few months ago and it was good but not super interesting to my nose. This one is different for me.

The Kulfi note makes this so intriguing. I can’t wait to wear this one out at night!

On a side note, I will say that I’m not very impressed with the actual decant. It looks nice but it feels like a cheap bottle with a cheap plastic cap, all painted in gold. Plastic and gold do not go together lol.

Their other decants (i.e. ombré leather), especially the private line, are much nicer and more modern looking.

DarthFragrance

This is one of my favorite fragrances, so good that I instantly bought a backup bottle. Absolute Aphrodisiac is my favorite scent and I find a lot of similarities between the 2. Depending on the day, maybe this is my favorite scent. I don't find many fragrances to be sexy, but these 2 are amongst the ones I do.

Vanilla is one of my favorite notes, and I love the way they both do vanilla; dark, sophisticated and anchored by leather. A hefty dose of leather was the main addition to the Parfum and the most notable difference between it and the EDP. Cardamom is one of my other favorite notes and it's been amped up in the Parfum compared to the EDP. The sweetness in this fragrance is mature, sexy and mysterious. Noir Extreme Parfum almost has like a smoky aspect to it that makes it kind of dirty and rugged, almost like a cigarette except it smells really good.

Performance is solid, great longevity and sillage, better than the EDP most definitely. The EDP is a very great fragrance but I think the Parfum is much better, making this an extremely solid and worthwhile flanker.

CzarSalad

I thought for months about what the first TF I wanted to buy would be. Having tried a lot from the private blend, couldn't really decide which I would pull the trigger on. After wandering around decided to test out the signature line, this one, in particular, stood out. Creamy, spicy, smooth, and warm. Was a bit apprehensive about it as I have Herod by PdM as my go-to in cooler weather, but I just couldn't get this one out of my head. NXP is smoother with a bit of an edge (if that makes sense) while the Herod is a bit more brutish.

What made me decide to finally buy it was, after getting back to my apartment, while riding up the elevator, a neighbour turned and told me "That smells incredible". There it was, signed sealed, and delivered. To add to its benefit, even after trying it mid-afternoon, when I woke up in the morning I could still get a whiff of it, almost more than 12 hours later.

Ela_s86

This masterpiece reminds me of Dior's Vanilla Diorama. I really enjoy it better than the original Noir extreme

Sol Corona

As we all know, most successful fragrances end up having generally inferior (with some notable exceptions) clone versions made of them. For me, Tom Ford have done the opposite here. With Noir Extreme Parfum, they've pretty much just made a "superior" version of Spicebomb Extreme. I'm not a fan of either, though I'd much rather pay the V&R price for this scent profile.

FragStar

Opens with a blast of spicy cardamon, ginger, sweet orange and leather. The initial feeling is masculine, strong, modern, stylish and spicy. In the mid the orange note fades, the kulfi adds a lactonic accord and the rose is jammy and elegant. The leather becomes more prominent and takes over as the dominant force in the dry down. The longevity is excellent and the sillage fills the room. A great choice for an evening out to a bar.

Sarel

I can’t believe there is no tobacco in this. First whiff is filled with an exhale of expensive, smooth cigar/cigarette smoke, hugged tightly by a densely sweet & slight spicy amber and kulfi mixture. This fragrance is thick and luxurious. The heavy smokiness is prominent, but it is quickly accompanied by the other notes as the warm sweetness develops and pushes forward. However, the smoke never fades away. If I’d never smelled TF’s Tobacco Vanille, this would be the *perfect* name for it. Even with the smoky overtone, this is sweet, inviting, cozy, and sexy. If I smoked, I imagine this would be my go-to scent as it would actually compliment & enhance any lingering cigarette aroma hanging around me, transforming it into something intriguing and alluring.

Lgapafto

A classy fragrance that smells like wealth in a bottle. This smells sweet with just the right amound of spice. I also love the ginger note.

AJPkayla

Love this one. Like the EDP but with added suede and leather notes which combines to form an almost smokey, incense note. A nice counterpoint to the kulfi and cardamom. Less rose and also less casual than the edp but really just as great. Leans evenings and colder weather. I can see having this one and the edp.

Scentence1991

Masculine, seductive, gorgeous…

It’s a Smokey, Leathery fragrance that’s dries down allowing the vanilla to come through, a special occasion scent.

bil00l

This perfume is absolutely sublime. From the woodiness to the sweetness and the leather and the warmth and the spice it is absolutely perfect. It is my all time favourite perfume, alongside Ombre Leather. The longevity is very good, lasts all day and the sillage is fairly close to the body. This smell is worth every penny but I recommend that you buy a sample first just in case.

ILikeSmellingNice

Well, for me - Tom Ford makes the best scents designer wise. If this wasn't so expensive I would be 24/7 bathed in it. Also another big incentive is the Bulgarian Rose.

Misfit_dior

Got this for my birthday 2 weeks back babe haven’t fully worn it yet but I just sprayed this on my wrist and definitely can’t wait to rock it before the weather gets hotter

Mjchaelj

Wow this is so nice, it’s like the original but a bit more mature, and smokier in a good way. Also more manlier. This makes Tobacco Vanille seem tame in comparison. It’s something that a rich older gentleman that smokes expensive cigars would wear. Not a casual fragrance at all, should be worn on special occasions. Although I prefer the original a bit more, this is still fantastic!

8.5/10

MorabitoMusk

My favourite cold weather fragrance of all time. It hit me as I was scraping the ice off of my windshield this winter and I was blown away by how great it smells in the sub zero temperatures!
Gonna save up and buy it in the autumn for sure!

Scentence1991

It does have good longivity but anyone looking for a strong projection should look elsewhere, something like JPG Ultra Male or Dior Sauvage Elixir would be the way to go.

Noir Extreme Parfum does lay close to the wearer but it has a subtle yet noticeable sillage.

It's pricey yes but I'm happy with the purchase.

Lex11180

This has a nice gentle dirty animalic opening that's really appealing but then it quickly dissipates and the dry down is just a slightly more rounded version of regular Noir Extreme. Perfumes where the opening is better than the dry down are often hard to justify and I feel like this just may land into that territory unless I was able to grab a partial of this or a good deal on discounters.

Bob Cage

Very much unisex. Not loving the sillage or longevity. I don’t think it’s much different or better than the original, I get better performance from the original. I don’t NEED it. Cool, but meh. I get cardamom and kulfi.
You can find this above for $170 for 100 ml. If $2 an ml is too much for you you’re in the wrong game. This is NOT overpriced, especially post Covid. It’s kind of a steal

recherche

Waaaaay smoky, but I noticed if I layer it with Black Orchid EDP, it's the bomb!

Longevity: 5 days
Sillage: 1 mile.

Percomo_time

I love it ❤

Advaitaforever

This is the original plus a delicious leather that does have an unburnt, pipe tobacco effect. I prefer this version as it’s more TF-esque, obnoxious, masculine-leaning and balanced. My husband prefers the original which is certainly smoother, more mass-appealing and hedonistic.

zaqr

Wore the Noir Extreme Parfum a few times now and honestly the original still remains supreme. It's very close in DNA and is still a fantastic fragrance, I feel it has an added harshness about it. Mainly noticed ginger spice, rich cinnamon, and a touch of leather. The drydown is rather powdery but not in a grandma way, I don't find the original powdery at all. The rose in both are done to perfection and it doesn't really stand out, it's merely a subtle touch within the beautiful blend. It's nothing like the hardcore rose in Noir de Noir.

Fragaddict123

I gotta say I’m not a fan of flankers
This is a bit different than the original
It’s darker , denser, smokier
But it doesn’t neglect the kulfi
What surprised me is the amount of cardamom this has and it seems roasted combing it with the smoke
Longevity is very good
Forget about the sillage it’s nonexistent
Projection is less than moderate
The main question is was it necessary (NO)
Is it a cash grab (probably yes)
Is it better than the original (NO)
So unless you know what you are getting into I would recommend the original 9 times out of ten

clfever

1- Not supper unique there are other companies in the market that produces the same smell
2- But definitely not weak, people who vote it is weak drive me crazy
3- Very Very strong, formal not casual, no way as casual
4- Not for daily use I need a Religious occasion to use it.
5- The beauty of each note is easy to recognize
6- Prices are not high in the middle not cheap not expensive entry-level niche perfumes
7- "Base Note" The closing note where the smell last and stay in the end is amazing after an hour you will smell a unique rich smell no other perfume house can produce

I bought it, I write reviews only when I buy a fragrance

Prunel

After trying it more, this is incredible. Incredible performance and amazing unique scent. Sadly the price's way too high.

BSS

My is from the first batch. I think it's more for autumn and spring, not so much for winter.
I just don’t get the same performance in winter.

Stinky whiskey Buttons

Im going against the grains here, but i find this superior to the og and edp, it might be the rich dence overall blend, its a nice contrast off dark and light notes, might be a bit more mature then the og and more leaning towards male, but its a crowdpleasing scent all the same, and the drydown is sweet and warm and woody, the leather is more off the designer kind and not dark or animalic.

tr_bg

What's going on Tom Ford ? You went from releases such as Amber Absolute, Plum Japonais and many other original ones to releasing flankers and four, five different cherry scents. Such a shame.

LeonidasMadazee

Definitely an upgrade over the standard Noir Extreme. It presents a much more richer, and complex take on a sweeter iteration of the Noir Extreme. It also happens to last for absolute ages (12+ on my skin), and presents a decent sillage.

10/10 for me.

MorabitoMusk

This was love at first sniff to me, even more than the original. I live the suede and leather that was added. This smoky suede scent is absolutely intoxicating and it’s very hard to fall out of love with once it hits you.
It has the best silage because my nose doesn’t go blind to it even after hours go by. It’s such an elegant scent that it makes me feel more confident, masculine and more stylish. I can’t say that I’ve ever smelt a better scent in my life to be honest.

Basit 22

I LOVE it. A more masculine version of the EDP. The opening is a bit harsh to my nose, but the dry-down is magic and pure sexiness!

Hastro

I've always liked the smell of the pipe my grandfather smoked; a scent of fragrant tobacco with notes of red fruits and spices.
I tried to find this kind of perfume several times, but without really finding these memories of nostalgia.
With this perfume, smelled by chance at the store, it immediately brought me back to childhood.
Although the seller confirmed to me that there are notes of leather, I absolutely do not feel it.
But a pleasant tobacco smell, which is not harsh or dry. (Not the smell of ash actually).
I had smelled several, passing by Tobaco Vanille, but Noir extrême parfum is delicious.

It's not the kind of perfume that appeals to the youngest (my children don't like it), but rather for the 38 and over age group.
For hold, and longevity, it depends on each skin; just spray 2 times on each handle and see all day if you still smell it. For me, the trail is really average and it is during more intimate occasions that the charm of this perfume develops.
You can just spray again 4 hours later to revive the joy. A real success that deserves a 9/10.

Kushal

This is very different from Edp . I like this one more. The mid of Tom Ford Noir Extreme Parfum is reminiscent of EDP , but overall this is a masculin rendition of that .
This opens quite spicey with what I could percieve as a Cardamom/Clove/ginger combo , couldn't detect any citrusses ..quickly followed by a woody , Saffrony Suede like drydown . There was a shortlived sweetend vanilic-rose like characteristic in the mid , which might occur to you as a Kulfi note , but believe me this is not what 'Kulfi' smells like. It maintains that Masculin edge throughout the entirety of its life , which i think lacked in EDP.
All in all a great scent , one of the best releases . Its not a heavy projector , but creates a decent scent bubble around its wearer . Longevity shouldn't be a problem here as EDP itself was a decent performer . I would choose this anyday over edp !
7.5/10

After 4 hours in , Im somehow getting a faint tobacco note , similar to the one used in Bvlgari Man in Black.

Dirtyhoody

Tested at Macy's yesterday and I have to say that the opening is a bit rough. It jas a medicinal botanica type smell for the first half hour. After that initial phase it smooths out and transforms into something very deep amd appealing. Ordered online today. Only 2 left on fragrancenet, now just one.

After a few wearings I can say it's one of my favorites

MikeRauch

It took me a minute to figure out what this scent was. This is high quality frankincense. I remember this from my childhood in church. These were those light amber, round shaped pellets. I didn't like it as much at the time compared to the orange blossom and rose incense they had, but now this brings back memories. Good memories, and that makes this priceless. I'm surprised olibanum isn't listed in the notes. That's mostly what I get. I never smelled the EDP as I generally tend to avoid gourmand scents. Got this on a whim as Tom Ford has been good so far. 10/10 solely for the memories. The fragrance itself is outstanding. Perfect for the colder months. Lasts a good while.

TheShiningStar

@TheWoodman,

EdP (Eau de Parfum) is different from parfum

aspritzofhope

Chainsmoking, leather jackets and debauchery

bintTapputi

On me this is extremely masculine, leather/animalic, deep rich and mean. On my MIL this is sweet, vanillic, romantic and sexy. Very interesting. On me, it's a pass, reminds me of Ombre Leather. On my MIL it's beautiful. If I didn't smell the difference myself, I wouldn't believe how completely different it was on the two of us. 7/10

TheWoodman

What is with all the people saying it’s not EDP, look at the bottle, it says PARFUM, i adore this and am wearing it now, layer it with oud wood intense and you get, for me, the best smell, ever

DrRosie

After reading the glorious reviews on this fragrance, I had to test it. I went to Nordstrom today and tried it. OMG, I am in-love! I had to buy it right away.

colorfulmess

A very strong woody cardamom, with stronger spices than the EDP (the EDP is creamier and more soft/spicy than Parfum). I love a woody perfume though, and have to say, this delivers. Also, I committed the ultimate perfume test: I sprayed it on the inside of my mask at an airport and then hopped on a plane. I was really in love after that!

PhilFragrance

Immediately one of my favourites.

igor_2000

Amazing.

andrespecht

What a good surprise. Way better and thicker than the EDP. One of the best releases of 2022

Chemason1967

Absolute stunner 10/10 had a smell of this for the first time today, totally blew me away.

Eleekkurix

I think u rlu can't not like this smell, you think it good or awesome. Id say it lasts atleast 9 hours.
Projection 8.5/10
Longevity 9/10
Scent more than 10/10

Well better explination about smell would be more masculine and seductive than noir extreme.

genester

The smoky, animalic leather opening is a bit strange, but otherwise becomes similar to the EDP.

Johannes27

I have tried this one on perfumes stores several times. It smells nice, very similar to EDP but the performance and sillage sucks on me. Sillage is close to the skin after a few minutes and longevity 3-4 hours max as a skin scent. EDP is stronger and lasts about the same amount of time. IMO They both do not worth the price tag (around 170 Euros for 100ml) for such poor performance. In order to check if this is me that cannot smell it after a few hours, i have asked family members and some friends if they like this smell but everybody told me that they cannot smell anything of it .
It's a shame....

ts_likes_colognes

The perfumer managed to capture my essence in a bottle!
But that won't help you make a decision, so here's the important stuff:

This smells like the original Noir Extreme, but a tad less sweet and more leathery and smoky, plus ginger. But all of these additional accords/notes are masterfully blended into the fragrance so they don't stick out. This scent is more masculine than the original, but not by a whole lot. The difference is enough to try both and see which one you prefer.

This performs better than Noir Extreme EdP, which already performed very well on my skin. I got 8-10 hours of 3+ foot projection from the EdP, and I get 4+ foot projection from the Parfum (and the scent lasts all day for me).

Projection: 8/10
Longevity: 9/10
Masculinity: 7/10 (Original was 6/10)
Scent: 11/10 (Because they managed to improve upon a 10/10 scent)
Value for your money: 5/10 (Worth every penny, but that's a lot of pennies)

Prunel

It's a really great fragrance. But, for that price, I don't see a reason to buy it. It's a bit darker than the eau de parfum, lasts longer on me too. But it's a niche price, for a product that's not niche quality imo. It's a failure in terms of pricing.

Patj1994

Never cared much for the OG noir extreme, was a bit too sweet for me, leaned very feminine to my nose. This, however, is a different beast…more masculine, more rough, less sweet. The leather, suede, Tonka bean and tobacco notes really help make this a much more seductive, mature, dark scent. On the dry down you’re still left that beautiful, sweet noir extreme DNA, which is very nice. Performance and projection are better than the original, I get a phenomenal 10-12 hours of longevity and a good 4 hours of strong projection of maybe 3 feet until it comes in closer to the skin. Scent does linger very nicely on my skin for almost 15 hours. Overall, I’d say they knocked this one out of the park.

Buy a bottle of this stuff NOW before they inevitably reformulate and water it down. You'll regret not buying this in its current formulation.

Ihaggins

This one disappointed me at first. I later figured out that I was going nose blind to it. The smell is intoxicating and addictive. It’s the perfect dose of spicy masculinity with just enough sweet creaminess to take the edge off, which makes it super sexy. I liked EDP, but I’m in love with the Parfum.

campbelljandj

Christmas in a bottle. Love it.

Veevo

Oh, Tom. You did it again. You made me addict. Be aware that this gem works as if it was drug. I'd say that it has better performance than NE. It smells luxurious, sexy, dark and perhaps mysterious. You would like to smell like this while smoking expensive cigarette after amazing sex with your ex, who came back to you because of this perfume.

rizasman

So similar to original one but i liked this better.More Masculine…

ShowMustGoOn

Very similar to Noir Pour Femme. Maybe a bit more spicy but just a tiny bit. Both are great for men and women. I don’t consider it to be a masculine scent. I wear an almost identical one to this - their discontinued Noir Pour Femme. I tried this one again and it’s just really similar. Anyway what I smell in Noir Extreme is spices, like in middle eastern desert, vanilla, woods, rose, definitely prominent amber and some orange in the background. Surprisingly the rose aroma lingers for a while. Overall it’s a sweet scent but nicely balanced.

Miracle.Fragrance

flanker that still has its original scent,
there are additional notes of ginger and leather which make this perfume a bit rough. but has better sillage than the original noir extreme.
If you like dna noir extreme but are not satisfied with its performance, this one can be the answer.

apascual

I normally dont write reviews, but after smelling this gem I still cant believe how insane this thing smells. Everything that the EDP was missing, they added here: woods, Leather, smokiness to balance it out. The Edp was to sweet and cloying for my taste. This one of the best things Ive ever smelled, Im obsessed with it. Id never like TF perfumes at all, but since they realesed ombre leather edp, FF, ebene fume and now this, its becoming one of my top brands along with Dior, Hermes and Guerlain. This Parfum version is a work of art.

hadris

I wanted to buy this perfume, but I'm glad I didn't, I tried both versions in the store/edp and parfum/, the smell is great, but after an hour there was almost nothing left on my skin, very weak, disappointing but happy that I saved my money ✌

epicness1o1

I don't know why but when I first got this fragrance it smelled like I was taking deep breaths from a car exhaust. I literally smelled like a chimney
I couldn't even look at this gold bottle and avoided it like the annual tax report
A week ago I was feeling a bit wild like my drunk neighbor with a running chainsaw and said you know what, lets give Tom another chance
F*ck me....
I think this may be the best juice ever poured into a bottle
A lawyer must walk with me 24/7 while wearing this so people don't sue me for smelling this sexy, the core of the sun is less hot than me while wearing this
Forget any winter fragrance your nose has been corrupted with, I would travel back in time and sell my virginity for this

11/10 Best winter fragrance ever created

jaxxin

I bought 50ml bottle of this for $120 on eBay. New/sealed, April 2022 batch. I also bought 50ml bottle of Noir Extreme EDP for $104 on Amazon. New/sealed, March 2022 batch.

I will compare the two on each wrist and for my particular use case.

I am middle-aged husband and dad of three small kids. My wife and I don’t have the freedom or energy to go out on the town for date nights, and of course not in the dating/hookup scene. So my use case for evening sexy intimate scents is lightly spray after shower at 10pm and go down to have sexy time with my wife 2-3 times a week.

So I’m looking for something delicious and warm and sexy. That is close to skin and not sharp or strong or overly projecting.

One of my wife’s supreme favorites of the 100+ that I have sampled or bought is…..La Nuit de L’Homme. I spray it and smell it on many nights of the past year.

Interestingly, La Nuit opens with a very striking cardamom note that immediately hits me in Noir Extreme Parfum’s opening also. So I will compare the two openings and how they diverge.

This is setting up to be very long, so I will return to finish later. I think my conclusion is going to be something along the lines of the new Noir extreme opens like a dense rich La Nuit and then transitions into a more masculine Noir extreme EDP, sits relatively close to the skin, not overpowering, and so is pretty amazing for my use case.

Noir Extreme Parfume is the best winter/fall fragrance that I have smelled.
I get smoky vanilla/kufli, leather, amber, ginger and more deeper things. It is a perfect creation for winter/fall/spring with an extremly good aura
Smell: 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Projection: 👍👍👍👍
Overall:10:10
Season: cold winter

Gumbinator

Finally pulled the trigger on this yesterday. It scratches the itch of originally owning Noir Extreme, and my 10ml travel sprayer almost empty. I love the opening! Super smokey! Definitely the one to own over the original. The original is truly amazing, but this is what I always wanted! Something heavy hitting with the smoke and boozy notes.

Nanalvzpink

The only reason why I don’t enjoy this fragrance is because I strongly dislike fragrances with OUD and leather vibes. Even though I don’t enjoy this fragrance I can say that it is well blended and smooth. I know that the people who enjoy those notes will really appreciate this fragrance.

Tshahb

Richer than the EDP with a wondeful ginger element. I also get a tobacco vibe as someone else mentioned. Together this makes for a sexy, smokey scent.

On the opening, it's seems similar to the wonderful Homme Idéal Intense from Guerlain, but this one has stronger sillage, legs and complexity, which is only right given the huge price.

Given the criminally bad performance of the EDP, the Parfum slightly redeems the line. I say slightly because it's way overpriced.

Now I have smelt this, I find the EDP insipid and quite horrible.

Jrad655

Not nearly as good as Extreme. The ginger note is really off putting.

montgomery99

This is amazing. There’s no tobacco in this? I smell something tobacco-like. It’s masterfully blended. In a way it reminds me of Tobacco Vanille’s younger, cooler brother. Delicious evening scent, and a standout in the signature collection. I cannot imagine anyone not liking this one you.

P.S. Estée Lauder have always created “Tom Ford Beauty” products since the very first Black Orchid.

ALakota

This is my absolute favorite men's scent for fall and winter hands down, and I have smelled it all. This is my second review after wearing for a good bit and it is not only the most delicious gourmand I have ever smelled, in my opinion this is how a man should smell. I don't know why in the hell this stuff is not higher rated, but shenanigans may be afoot. I have 3 bottles of this stuff, as well as one of the eau de parfum, and I am officially obsessed. Noir extreme parfum takes a curly one all over spicebomb extreme, which is a sort of similar vibe but is nowhere near as unique or pleasing to me, and that stuff has some ridiculously high rating on here. Get that basic junk out of my face. All it's gonna do is give your date an allergic reaction. The parfum is more spicy and edible and better performing than Noir Extreme eau de parfum. The edp is definitely dryer and maybe a little more mature smelling because of that. I am not nearly as big a fan of that stuff but still love it for sure. I know this stuff is expensive. Why do you think that is? I predict that at some point in the future, this perfume is going to be properly appreciated and is going to go even higher in price once it is discontinued or reformulated. Get over the Tom Ford hate and give this the chance that it deserves. This might be my favorite fragrance of any type of all time, and that is really, really saying something.

NoiBoi

As it stands today, this is better than the original. It’s more rich, dense and bold as a parfum flanker should be. I will say there’s an added smokiness that offsets the more intense spice elements in the best way possible; in fact it conjures images of the great discontinued Sahara Noir.

Jayrockah

The original Noir Extreme was the first Tom Ford fragrance I fell in love with, and it clearly got watered down after a while. This evokes that same feeling but in a more refined way. Performance is only slightly better than the Original but clearly this is the better option right now.

solegen

Dunno what it is with TF and his Parfum flankers. Generally the Parfum version should be bolder, more intense, deeper than the EDP. But not here or with Ombre Leather or Costa Azzurra. TF tones down the most unique elements and brings in more generic notes.

With Noir Extreme the kulfi, pistachio and even the cardamom are toned down as well as the vanilla. Add some generic woods(cedar and guaiac), a touch of leather and you move away from the gourmand EDP. Not bad by any means but I prefer the EDP as it feels more unique. Projection and longevity are decent.

It seems TF is trying to make these Parfum flankers more mass appealing by toning down the unique notes instead of amping them up which is a shame. If you find the EDP too intense then the Parfums may be more appealing but to me they are just more boring.

ALakota

I don't know how this stuff is not rated higher. It may not be insanely mass appealing, but in my opinion it is a true masterpiece. It seems very niche in terms of who could really pull it off, but it's undeniably good in scent quality, it's unique, and the performance is simply insane. I think this stuff makes Sauv Elixir look like Febreze in terms of projection, longevity, etc. I can't imagine what the hell is going on inside the noses of people who complain about that aspect. I assure you folks, most of you complaining about performance on A LOT of perfumes are just nose deaf compared to your average person. In my opinion this stuff smells very much on the mature side and honestly smells like an old dude that smokes 2 packs a day lol. I don't mean that in a bad way, but to me this is like the quintessential mature, masculine man's scent. It's warm and spicy, maybe a little boozy, a little like tobacco to me, but this stuff has a strange quality I get with some perfumes and something I love about this stuff. I was smoking while wearing this stuff, and the whiffs I was getting off of it while my sense of smell was already saturated by the smoke were literally some of the best smells I have ever smelled in my life. It's hard to describe, but at the time it smelled a little like aventus or something but better. Kind of smoky-fruity. The scent has a lot of depth and dimension to it and changes under different circumstances. FOR SURE a cold weather scent and slices right through the cold air. I am telling you people, no matter what you think, GO EASY ON THE TRIGGER. This stuff performs better than okay enough to get away with a single spray. Believe me, everyone will smell it, and it's definitely a fragrance that smells best in subtle wafts. I also see people complaining about the price, but like Sauv Elixir, one spray of this is like 3 or 4 of most other comparable fragrances. It's a bargain at neiman marcus right now. Again, don't overapply this stuff. Don't be that guy, fellas.

Blacktundras

Ugg you men and your frangrances! I'm so hell-bent on buying them for myself lately. I love how sweet, resinous and dark Noir Extreme parfum is. I thought it wouldn't have that much silage, but people compliment me on it wherever I go lately. At least I'm not hallucinating. It's definitely a stunna on women.

Candyandy

The longer you have the Parfum on your skin the more it smells like the original Noir Extreme. I really like this fragrance but I find that the parts I like about it the most are the ones where it's the closest to the original. It's a dark and sweet, kind of mysterious but very approachable in the right setting. I would recommend smelling the original and making sure which one you like the most, because it could you save a lot of money. Also give a chance to Noir EdP (all black bottle), that one is also really, really good and many fans of Extreme would enjoy that one, even though it's less sweet and less popular.

aaronmy

I love this fragrance. It's masculine and sexy. Very mysterious and alluring. Sweet, but not too sweet and only just enough to make it somewhat addictive. It's gained longevity and a bit of projection in the new mixture. I get 8-10 hours with this and I would say this projects about 2-3 feet. Nothing amazing on the projection, but to me, this is the perfect flanker and it is my second favorite scent behind Layton. I've been looking for a fragrance that's masculine, but also sexy and this is it. I tried Oud Wood, Tobacco Vanille, Carved Oud, and while they're great this is on another level and more affordable (for me). I do recommend that you smell this first. It's not for everyone especially if you do not like leather (favorite for me). I smelled the EDP and liked it, but I felt it was too similar to Spicebomb Extreme. This was in my early trying of fragrances so I have to go back and smell it again lol.

kristiananthony

Opening is horrific, drydown smells identical to the EDP. Redundant to own both. The EDP is superior in every way.

Scentologist11

I've been to two airports...I finally notice it from afar on the shelf...I step closer and see that it's not even available as a tester - you can just buy it blindly xD It's even worse because the hostess for TF perfumes tried to convince me that the striped box of the new perfume is the usual Noir Extreme and not the new version, but it's all gold in the box and the bottle :D Horrible! But when I teach her the basics and you show your knowledge, then you take everything off.. Finally, she brings the tester from the warehouse and it was already on hand !
Tom Ford in his very own glorious way..Smells somewhat similar to regular Noir Extreme- with the addition of salty oily cardamom, Neroli is felt immediately and still Kulfi gourmet just more perfumey oily and stronger!
I immediately took it because I knew it was the one! And I don't regret it - it's more than good for autumn and it's pure love with its beauty and concentration!😍❤️
Which one is better? Each one is great in its own way - The first one is more gourmet and the new one is stronger but has less silage!

marsfragrance

Smells very similar to the original noir extreme, just slightly more masculine. Redundant to own both.

Controlledbyscent31

This is sexy 😍 I love this one for my husband very masculine scent.

MaryLouSweden

today its monday, cold and october.........a warm sweather and TF Noir Extreme Parfum.....TF, you saved my day - LOVE

signature22

Ever so slightly too mascaluline for me. I do love the cardamon note though!

If anyone can recommend a more feminine cardomon prodominant perfume, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Please let me know!

Jonathanelsher3

such an elegant fragrance

undeadsasuke

Got this in a duty free at an airport. At that point I have never found the parfum in my country and I was trilled to smell it (and I bought it eventually). To me, it's a more mature version of the EDP. It's less sweet and gourmand (but still sweet and gourmand), more spicy/smoky/leathery. To me this is the better version, when I wear this I cannot go unnoticed. It's interesting, because it has bad boy vibes without having bad boy vibes, if it makes sense. It's a shame that it doesn't project as much as I would like, and because of that I have to apply more sprays, and this stuff is expensive. But nevertheless, I think this is easily in my top 5 scents of all time.

rmf1112

If you like noir extreme, but don’t love the kulfi note, this is the one for you. Despite the votes, I really don’t detect that part in this one at all and Ive been wearing out a sample of noir extreme for the past week before getting my hands on this one.

Edit:
Wanted to add since I’ve been wearing this I noticed a definite leathery-ness with that note and the suede providing a rougher edge compared to the original.

AmoreProfumi

Oh wow I didn’t even know this was a thing.. I honestly thought he discontinued the Noir line cause I haven’t been seeing it in stores and we haven’t been getting it in ours.. and the Noir Ext. was one of my favorite fall/winter go tos.. but honestly after getting a chance to finally smell is Oud Wood I think I’d get that over this.

Detman101

This is the one I've been desiring. Less rose, more warmth....i can't wait!

Rotten Rebel

I recently did a review of this on my Youtube "Rotten Rebel" and wanted to share my thoughts on it with the fine folks of Fragrantica!

To me, this opens up in a spicy way and there's a bit of citrus in the opening that adds a certain kind of richness to the spiciness.

The opening softens up and dries down fairly quickly (on my skin less than 10 mins) and the whole thing turns into this sweet and leathery blend with a focus on the kulfi which feels a bit familiar (compared to the original), yet with something new to it. There's a soft floral touch that I also enjoy quite a bit.

The full dry down on my skin is basically something sweet, warm, woody, and leathery with a bit of spiciness and it's all covered in ambery warmth with a very soft dose of florals in the background.

This in a way feels like a less sweet version of the original, but with an added dose of leather and changes made to the floral side of it.

Been wearing it quite a bit the last 2 weeks and the performance seems good. I like it!

frederickf_

Gorgeous sophisticated elegance. To me it only feels like a Tom Ford in the dry down. You can usually tell when someone is wearing TF. Not with this one. Similar to the original but not the same. I don’t feel it’s redundant to own both either.

And I like it more than the original. I could easily choose between the two. I find it more masculine yet far from the kind of masculine that’s typical in many fragrances for men. This is so far beyond that.

This one is more of a skin scent. I feel it’s more wearable but just as long lasting as the og on my skin. It’s a masterpiece. And I think it would be drop dead gorgeous on anyone.

Chanel de Lanvin

Honestly, do you think that a perfume smells like cat pee?
It would be a first in the world of perfumery, and everyone would say it, so ... it is you who are the problem, not him.
Until now, when I feel a perfume coming out of its bottle, I find it identical to me, remains its outfit to discover later if it is ephemeral or tenacious.

Seuni

It is redundant to own both versions, the parfum is very similar. As the performance isn't improved while the price is 1.5x I'd say buy the original.

PrivateLondonCollection

Reviewing this in isolation of the original.
On opening it's sweet, but not overly and the right amount of spice and smokiness has been perfectly blended. the smoke and spice help it lean towards a more unisex fragrance and it's versatile, deal for many occasions, work, casual drinks, formal dinners etc.
If you don't own the original and are looking for a sweet, versatile amber, I would recommend this.

lwhaymand

As you'd expect from Tom Ford, this is beautiful perfumery, and so well blended that you don't really detect individual notes, just a lovely mix. To me, this opens very feminine, with rose, white flowers, and a bit of spice. It's sweet throughout, but as it dries down, it becomes darker, more chocolate, smokier, and woodier.

Also as you'd expect, it has none of the typical designer fragrance vibe, and smells very unisex. While I'm sure everyone would identify this as a beautiful scent in isolation, whether you'd want to smell like this for a whole day is far less certain. Fantastic perfumery, but as always with Tom Ford, make sure you sample first.

mihirsurti

Little drier, smoker than the original, "Dustier" if that's a word, not as gourmandy as the NE EDP but still holding up a simplistic yet eligant persona. This one is milder yet consistently longer lasting.
I have both in my collection, so decided to keep this for cooler months. EDP I think would be more versatile.
Song: Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb

SbangDMV

I like this one. But as most reviews say, it's very similar to the OG. The average person may not notice the small differences but fragheads will notice a richer, smoother and slightly darker version of the OG. I have the OG that I bought in 2013 and I'm sure it's been reformulated since. My version is a bit harsh in a good way in the opening but after it dries down, it's about 90% similar to the parfum. I like both. Having both is not necessary so in short, I was expecting a little more...but again, I still like it.

ysl187

If you own the O.G you dont need this! The opening is the only thing thats changed... its richer more dept. Then after 45min i can not tell the differanse.. same as the og.

omega_garlic

The difference between this and the original is similar to the difference between Dior Homme Intense and Dior Homme Parfum. It's minimal, the fragrance has the exact same DNA, but the Parfum versions of both fragrances have a darker leathery twist on the Extreme/Intense.

I'd say it's redundant to own both because they are very very similar. I just finished testing them side by side, 3 sprays on each wrist. The Parfum is stronger, lasts longer but the projection is not as strong as with the Extreme.

If I had to get one (for the same price), I'd personally get the Parfum, it's less sweet, although still very gourmandy, the individual notes are more defined to my nose and I like the contrast between the leather and kulfi, vanilla and other sweet edible notes.

Ignore the low rating compared to the Extreme version, they're 85-90% the same.

Bloodlust

I blind-tested this & reading the note pyramid vs a first impression is CRAZY.

It is such a specific scent to me — hugging your aunt in the late 80s/early 90s, she’s wearing something loud from that time period. She’s a smoker with an over abundance of hairspray, long nails. This is the scent that comes from directly out of the lining of her purse: powdery makeup, coins, violet mints in a tin and a little bit of ash.

You have smelled this before, it’s the scent that fills the room near a New Jersey diner back table where the perfumes of 4 sisters fill the air with a nondescript but pungent cloud.

No hate, the blend here is beautiful and this line stands apart from the private line scents that are just VICIOUS with projection, this yells instead of screams.

Try on skin. On paper strips it’s in an ENTIRELY different animal. (But probably covered in leopard print.)

mizur

It’s creamy, it’s vanilla, it’s pistachio, it’s cardamom… it’s Kulfi!!

This perfume is an elegant interpretation of a delicious dessert, which in turn makes it a true delight!!

Don’t get the leather, suede, woods or flowers… but the vanilla, tonka, kulfi, amber and cardamom are very present and lusciously blended… this perfume is a powdery aromatic and sumptuous gourmand fragrance.

Unfortunately, projection is between moderate to intimate… and longevity is very limited… it’s been only a few hours since I sprayed and it’s no longer detectable on my skin…

All the people saying that this perfume is a beast, and that it has enormous projection, are lying!!!

Not really a parfum concentration, but an amazingly realistic and delicious kulfi scent!

Ralphangel

Tom Ford Noir Extreme Parfum is out of this world! The perfumer kept the same beautiful, Classy, and seductive DNA with a little more leathery and spicy nuance. The Kulfi note which I love combined with the Bulgarian rose, suede, and tonka bean makes this perfume a seductive gourmand experience. I love the original and I love the Parfum version even more! One of the best flankers of any perfume on the market.

My 3 P's
- Projection 8/10
- Performance 8/10
- Price 8/10

Old School Tie

Not a great deal different from the original version. Perhaps a tad woodier, slightly smokier, drier. Not as juicy or heady. Nice stripped box. Gold bottle is a hard no for me. Autumn/winter. Evening. Dressed up. Performance is good.

RUNIK

This is definitely gonna be a buy soon. Sprayed this at the airport, and when i woke up in the plane after my nap, i was 100% convinced someone around me was wearing OG spicebomb, till i found out it was actually the TFNEP i sprayed earlier. The early drydown has this woody-leathery-rose-kulfi combination, that’s giving me super similar vibes to the pink pepper-saffron-tobacco-leather combination from SB… or maybe i’m just crazy/sleep deprived/craving spicebomb? Would love to hear if anyone else gets that from this fragrance
