***still looking for a bottle of this***

PeacefulSunshine

I am realizing that I do not like yellow florals at all. There is something brassy to their smell that makes me feel irritable and nauseated. The pear is nice... it calms and rounds out everything. But this is just too sweet and yellow floral for me.

I can see this being Italian in that there is still a bold element to this. But it's bold in a gaudy sort of way that turns me off.

Stunning one with the Cashmere and silk altogether in the most luxurious way possible. The beautiful tropical floral fragrance that is appropriate for the night or day, dressy or casual and all the occasions. Opening notes are mimosa, floral, orange blossom, magnolia and violet that makes it kind of aquatic as well as heavy. Slowly, there is warming up due to orchid, heliotrope and the rice flour which smells more like Cashmere, almondy with the floral feel in background. A pure feminine, elegant and cool scent that oozes the sensuality. This seems to be a casual, cool and yet luxury scent that may be worn in any season but most proffered in summer due to it’s cool feel. Stunning, womanly, sexy making me feel confident and romantic always. Notes are so perfectly blended creating a subtle unique set of textures. Perfect to wear of a date night, romantic outing and special occasions. This one is my best and most preferred scents for the summer season. Love, love and all my love to Valentino.

DSdiva

This perfume is an epitome of sublime tenderness and delicate femininity, the Botticelli's Spring, the smile of youth and the boundless belief that the light of the day stands out the best after a dark night.

***I am looking for a bottle of this, if someone is willing to part with one. :-)

This beauty is a combination of beautiful flowers with a pomelo note that gives it a nice gentle zing. I even like the fact that it does not have any musk, patchouli, amber or vanilla to make it work. This is gentle, soft and calming. I can smell wafts of the pomelo note. I grow a pomelo tree in the corner of my garden and the smell of the fruit is intoxicating. It shares some similarities in notes with Elizabeth Arden Beauty which even though I finish a bottle, I find the perfume a bit screeching in its opening, with a typical amber-musk drydown combination.

Tigerlillian

I almost dismissed this for a nondescript floral in the first minute on my skin, but then as Valentino Eau de Parfum bloomed it became such an understated beauty.

Demure yet quietly beautiful, the notes I am experiencing in this perfume create a subtley unique montage of textures.

Opening with a light, deliciously sweet fruit, the first thing I feel is light citric acidity, sweetened with pink petals. As this develops, the sponginess of white pomelo pith feels like a hug from a long lost friend -- warm velvet skin.

Somewhere in the miasm of cheerful mimosa, a humidity arises like steamed rice -- super clean, delicate; an intriguing contrast between dense and lofty. Heliotrope offers a feeling of smooth porcelain and powder.

Finally Valentino culminates into a spongy, powdery floral that is fresh, serene and uplifting, totally feminine with a mellow charm. Too bad that this charismatic beauty is discontinued as this is a lovely floral discovery for the coming warmer months.

I don't know why, but this is the most ignored perfume in my collection. When I do wear it, I'm always amazed at how beautiful it is and wonder why I don't wear it more often. Gorgeous inside and out.
Valentino EDP is a very bright, yet creamy floral with a pinch of aldehyde, though the scent as a whole is not aldehydic. It has a lovely 'classic' feel. Reminds me a lot of J'adore, minus the screech and headache (no offense to J'adore lovers; I do like it as well). Valentino just doesn't scream PERFUME from a mile away.
It's like brushing past a beautiful woman on the street or in the mall and wondering what made her smell so good. I think this is one of the few predominantly floral perfumes that can be worn all year round...though with a light hand in summer. Longevity is 8+ hours and projection goes moderate to soft midway through the day, but it never disappears. I'm so beyond happy to own this gorgeous bottle.

faranism

It is a lovely ,juicy perfume .It is warm, sweet and kind. The nice smell hug you warmly and gives you comfort.Although it is not new one in stores, but it is a timeless flowery fragrance . Try it ,then you will be touched.Happy new year 2016 to everyone .

This is a fruity floral that is modern, sophisticated and well-blended. As its so lovely I really wish that it wasn't discontinued (looks hard to find, unfortunately).

This perfume has a fruity opening on my skin; it smells like pears to me, and strangely enough the perfume does list pear blossom as a note. The dry-down is beautiful, as the scent settles into a gorgeous powdery white floral, (predominately heliotrope) with a bit of freshness from those citrus accords, and its always warm, friendly, comforting. Very relaxing to wear. The powder in here is perfect because its soft, light and doesn't smell dated. Added to that, there's no vanilla or patchouli here either (yes!)

Soft to moderate sillage, longevity is for about 7-8 hours.

UPDATE: with multiple wears, and especially during the cooler months, this has begun to smell like face cream. I also got told that the florals in this smell "plasticky" and I'm starting to agree. Whilst it's still a pretty scent, but I'm not as enamored with it as I once was.

Circuit FAiry

Wow I have just walked into my secret garden. Valentino is a dreamy composition, for me it opens very sweet and heady floral with a faint touch of citrus. It then mellows into the most luscious and delicate powdery scent.

The character is classic and elegant yet modern. An instant love!

Reese1861

Sadly, I did not find this gorgeous gem until after it was discontinued. I've been buying back up bottles because I adore it. It's just gorgeous to me. It's one of my top 3 for sure.

It is a mystery to me why fragrances like this are discontinued. :(

Pari88

This is absolutely stunning. This is Silk and Cashmere in one! What is more luxurious then that? It is a beautiful tropical floral, for day or night, casual or dressy.
The initial spray is a honeyed lush floral, mimose, magnolia, orangle blossom and violet. It is fresh yet heavy, almost aquatic. It immediatley warms up with heliotrope, orchid and rice flour, smelling amost coconuty, almondy, or cashmere like, all the while the luscious florals remain.
It is utterly feminine, oozing sensuality. A casual tropical floral, elegant and cool.

It makes me picture a woman in Thailand, dressed in a silky satin tea dress with her long wavy hair, natural makeup, a natural beauty. She walks out of her one story house, wooden, bamboo, tropical flora line the drive way in the front with golden lights lining the house. She gets in her luxury car where her driver escorts her to restaurant in a tropical beach under the stars, behind it are lush trees and waterfalls. Her husband comes to greet her with kisses and gifts for their private anniversary dinner. A cool, casual luxury scent.
This can easily be worn in any season, but I would prefer it in the warmer months. Something about this is so darn sexy and womanly and makes me feel very confident. I love it.

loada82

The scent is fine but it is so strong.
It makes me suffucate.

nazza28

I echo everyone elses sentiments when they say such an elegant floral. The heady floral opening is certainly swoon worthy in my opinion but done in such a classy and sophisticated way. I wish I had the funds to get a full bottle of this!

jermany.clark

i just purchased this yesterday and loved it! It was the last one so I took advantage and got a great discount. This is is a very elegant yet fruity fragrance! Smells just like SunJava for women by Franck Oliver!!!!!1 Looooooove it!!!!

wendy58

This perfume is lovely. It smells quite fruity at first, which I don t normally like. It soon settles to a soft sophisticated floral, which manages to be fresh and comforting at the same time. I, too sense a trace similar to Guerlain fragrances and this leaves a pleasant trail. A gem.

nikoleta1

This Valentino is unknown gem. Perfume is long lasting, soft floral, it appears discontinued, but I really recommend it.

nikoleta1

Nice floral, lasting, good for anywhere and any ages, not offensive soft perfume, very pleasant and feminine.

suhaesa

an elegant perfume.. reminds me of cerruti 1881.. in a more intense floral way..a classy.. unique.. soft.. yet characteristic.. individual perfume..worn by confident.. seductive.. ladies..
its light.. citrusy.. pomelos..orange blossom..pears.. layered with white florals.. gardenia..violets..and mimosa.. and some beautiful garden flowers.. in a base of light rice vapor.. musk.. and vanilla ..and some hidden mystree..its not so feminine..yet it is .. it has a tin sh of a masculine touch to it ..which makes it more seductive ..
it could be perfect for work or pleasure ..its not an offensive perfume its very subtle fine..and intrinsic..its clean and refreshing..and beautiful in its own unique way..it uplifting..and simple..

FINALLY, a lovely romantic floral that works with my chemistry!! My skin radiates incense, spices, woods and anything earthy, rooty, mossy, mulchy, moist dirt, not really what I'm looking for when I want to smell totally feminine, soft and classy. Florals usually turn sour and "urine-like" on me or if they have any of the "warming" notes it's usually something mulchy/soily or green and of course that's all my skin with let show. I have not found an ultra feminine scent that smells super girly since the 80's (Jessica Mclintock and EL Beautiful)

I cannot the discern the notes here but I've had big success with rice notes in other perfumes so maybe that's the "thing" but Oh My . . . this is EXACTLY what I've been looking for! Nothing in it is vanillic, spicy, mulchy or remotely unisex . . . and NO BABY PEE . . . just pure sophisticated lady in a bottle: maxi dress, high heels, awesome handbag, precious metal and gemstone jewelry, perfect hair and makeup . . . For me it is simply floral perfection.

LadyRogue

Soft magnolia, violet, and orchid notes sweep up from my wrists, followed by a tender orange blossom (I don't get the pomelo). A well balanced composition where the fruits don't overpower the florals (and vice versa). A powdery, 'can't-stop-sniffing-myself' dry down - mimosa & rice? I don't know but it's very yum!

A romantic, feminine and 'pretty' scent. It has a fresh 'watery' feel (in a good way!) despite a powdery base. Classy, sophisticated and suitable for all occasions since it's non offensive yet luxurious.

Silage is: "tender whiffs of classy aura" -- Longevity: is ok with 5+ hours (on me).

A soft, beautiful Valentino in a lovely flacon that is suitable for summer. Or, any day/night you like to use a luxurious tender fragrance in between 'heavier' once.

Tesorina

This is my favourite so far, after Nina by Nina Ricci. It is elegant and smells soft but lasts long. It is a romantic scent that you would want to wear in the evening with your loved ones.

Dollycat

Finally i got it! I have looked for it for about a year now but it wasn´t available in europe until now. Cheap smells has it. I haven´t received it yet but i´m pretty sure i love this stuff according to the ingredients and the given comments here.

Amarie121

I love this fragrance! Very subtle and classy. This is one of the few fragrances that my whole family loves on me... It is warm without being heavy. If you love floral scents but do not want an overwhelming fragrance, this is a good one to try. I tend toward summer scents: citrus florals. This is a version which can be carried nicely into Autumn. It is sweet but not gourmand. Try before you buy though, as I could see the pomelo becoming too sour on some people due to body chemistry.

Asmaa youssef

nice, fresh, light, watery and soft but a little bet fruity, great in summer days.

seme

its a wonderfull one
here in egypt even in the summer i put this one and it lasting , makes me fresh & feel comfort
i love this fragrance & i love it sooooooooo much

Awatef

Something about this scent its very soft and plain and elegant the smell is just from a distance . like a lovely breez.. I like it’s a light and not loud “just simply lovely”

miZZpuRRfect

got the big bottle finally because i felt in love with the juice in the mini i got some weeks ago and had absolutely to have a full sz bottle of this precious... plz consult my detailed review above... this perfume is elegant, creamy and cheeky youthful! a gorgeous scent for summernights out, but also a good daytime fume for shure. it suits all the time! perfect.

Tulipano

A friend of mine once told me: "This perfume is you, Rad."
I fell in love with this perfume since then. It's mild, romantic, and classy. It's on "my want list"! Bravissimo , Valentino!
Update:
I tested it today. It's, yes, romantic, chic and simple, but nothing special. It exactly smells like: Hugo Boss Intense.

miZZpuRRfect

got the mini today and what can i say, it's a really expensive smelling, elegant, classy, very soft fragrance with a very good sillage, a pleasant elegant and comfortable scent. starts with the sweet and slighlty powdery magnolia. i get something juicy and very mouthwatering but after some minutes i can detect a whiff of a quite fresh and bitter/sour sensation, even a little bit harsh and unpleasant to my nose, which has to be the pomelo. it's not disgusting but in some way like the 'eeew' impression when you drink a pomelojuice in the morning.
then it turned to all about wonderful creamy flowers. base slightly warm and still creamy. i think the sweetness of the top and the slightly warm creaminess of the bottom are the best of this fragrance.
could be easely a signature scent for a elegant lady with chic and expensive clothes. very nice and well done. stunning bottle ! staying power average.

shoreshells

Finally received this in the mail before the holidays! When I first sprayed this fragrance it didn't seem like anything special. After a few hours the true note come out and to me it seems more a floral oriental. I like it, not in love with it but it's a very nice fragrance.

shoreshells

I am still awaiting this lovely fragrance; that I hope to be able to call my own. I sprayed it on in the store and received compliments througout the day. The mistake I made was that I was testing for my "one and only" all day. So I hope the mail carrier comes soon and that the fragrance is perfect for me.

tuberose_and _sand

When smelling this perfume, I was thinking that this could easily be one of the classics...I get a lot of aldehydes at first, all "wrapped" in a nice fruity veil. The smell developes with some sharp, sour notes, but NOT unpleasant, it's like smelling crushed raspberries mixed with vanilla and sugar!- the raspberries being by far the dominant note.It is not sweet, it's not powdery either, it's just juicy and vibrant, a perfume that's full of "life". It is complex, changes gradually on the skin, in the end I'm left with a trace of Guerlinade, to my nose at least-that beautiful vanillic drydown. Actually, I do find it a little bit similar to Idylle :)
I don't think it's for one season, I think it would suit any time of the year and any age!

Adriana_87

Soft, elegant and feminine.Smells very expensive and reminds me a bit of diors jadore but in a more creamy way.Maybe like putting some drops from kenzo amour into jadore..Makes you feel very classy, well done by Valentino!

RouenFr

This scent wasn't bad, very fresh and very classic but it wasn't the scent for me. However, I will not say it was bad at all just not what I am looking for.

sky76sky

Floral aldehyde....violets & orchids - this would normally send me running! When I first tested this fragrance I was searching for the floral overkill, the synthetic notes, the headache hit....but none came. I left feeling that this perfume might just be a classy-modern take on classics from the floral-aldehyde golden years.

The magnolia opener is strong yet controlled - a beautiful floral herald. I cannot say I get a separate citrus note, the pomelo just seems to tame the magnolia & keep it from turning too sweet. I get a very delicate crisp fruitiness but nothing cheap or out-of-place.

I love mimosa & orange blossom & they blend well with the lingering magnolia creating an exultant floral voice - a little sharp, sparkling & sweet...a pink & white haze. The violet leaf adds just the right amount of bitterness to stop the scent from turning too sickly.

Vanilla-orchid is heavy, rich & heady (almost like the lily smell-taste you get from Tahitian vanilla pods but without the burnt-sugar leatheriness). This orchid starts to take over the fragrance a little in the mid-stages of this perfume's performance...the sillage at this point is formidable, bordering on invasive.

But just wait....the most gorgeous creamy heavenly base develops. There is an ethereal quality in the combination of the heliotrope & rice which rises from the rich vanilla (imagine a heavily floral version of Amour). This is a superbly mastered light base that lasts for hours, the best bit if the perfume by far.

This is a sophisticated scent - a grown-up statement wedding perfume. I undestand why mariotgomez talks of starlets & red carpets...the bottle would be equally at home atop the dresser of any stylish marabou kitten-heeled boudouir babe or uptown sophisticat alike.

mariotgomez

This is a beautiful and classic scent. I can imagine a hollywood star wearing this scent while she walks the red carpet in her Valentino gown.

Lady Macbeth

Got a sample, 2 x 2 ml (better than nothing) and I love it! Hope I'll have it soon, because think this is a ''love on first smell''. What an essence of beautiful fresh flowers and sophistication..

LizzieM

Look at that gorgeous bottle, how lovely! Dignified and pretty too; such an attractive colour. I hope it smells great, can't wait to try it. Rice vapour and vanilla orchid wow!
