I loved Dylan Purple and I thought I'd try this but wasn't too impressed. It has that very basic perfume smell -- green x floral, soapy -- and like other, boring perfumes. The dry down is a little sweeter but still very soapy and cheap. Either way, I don't necessarily hate it, just wish it was little more unique especially since this is from a luxury brand.

Ground hound

A very misleding bottle design. The perfume is much more carefree and joyful than the serious looking bottle.
Fruity laundry-ish apple centred floral. (Can describe it as shampoo too)I do smell a bit of peach but not any realistic black currant.
Sweet, clean, with a bit of rose and musk.

Fionac44

This has a lovely fresh green apple note which comes through strongly on me. It adds fruitiness to the general floral notes. Unfortunately longevity and sillage are quite weak for this perfume.

Erangel

For me this is an incredibly soft soapy fruity smell. Inoffensive but not worth purchasing imo. I think there are many body sprays out there that are similar and have the same lasting power.

Anitatexas

Clean scent, nothing special but pretty. Fresh, clean, fruity, and appropriate for any occasion. Again.,, nothing special

yuser99

Loved it in store amongst the cacophony of smells. But at home in clean air it was just… meh? Using it for casual errands or days when I feel indifferent. It’s not unpleasant by any means, but smells too akin to an upmarket hair product. Which again, not unpleasant. Just not something I’d want to wear as a perfume. Maybe as a hair mist?

kahbsa99

Of the dylan collection, this is the strongest. Smells shampo, but lean more to perfumy than the purple. First sniff, I didn't appreciated, it smelled like "too much" and not juvenile. but in another visit to the store, it smelled still intense but with some cleaness. I usually describe it too much, but from what I smelled, that's all it could come out.

PhantomBelle

I love a good clean blue perfume, and this is a really good one. It's fruity/floral, bright, and soapy/out of the shower clean in a very Versace way. Goes good with my skin, lasts around 5-6 hours and is really nice to catch a whif of during the day.

Blind buy? I'd try it first--the purple and turquoise weren't right for me at all. It's pretty strong. Work safe? Absolutely, you'll smell fresh & clean. Purchased from: Sephora.

JurassicGibby

Green apple, fresh, shampoo fragrance. Somehow has a luminous type quality in the mid and drydown. First designer scent I've found that I actually enjoy wearing.

vera.rnova

Very fruity and juicy smelling. Pretty generic though.

autumnblue914

The first 10–15 seconds are the best, after that it becomes a generic scent. The bottle is nice, but the scent is mediocre.

stella.cherie

Sharp, synthetic laundry detergent that borders on sterile.

Aquapinkmoon

Has a bubbling, sparkling effect to it! Smells like a bubble bath so lovely

oea10

This is very light, fruity, and floral. It reminds me a bit of j'adore, but it is still very different. The sillage and longevity are decent. Great spring and summer scent.

orihime

This smell like a generic fruity shampoo-like floral scent in the beginning which I liked at first but didn't last long on skin and later dried down to a soapy smell. It has the forget me not flower which seems lovely when I sprayed in air but couldn't find the same note on skin :/

booksandcats457

Nice enough fragrance, generic fruity-floral. Does remind me of a nicely scented shampoo or hair product, like the kinds used at hair salons that always smell soooo good. Pleasant and inoffensive, but nothing special.

Reviewing for other men who wear this too.

I started off with the pour homme version of Dylan blue. Tried this a few years after it came out and I still love it. It’s the only fragrance I own where both the pour homme and pour femme have striking similarities which is rare. Can’t say the same for Eros.

Not as exquisite as the men’s version but a unique masterpiece in its own right. It smells like a “mythical lush rainforest.” The bottle very much matches the scent profile. When I spray the pour femme version I just feel so clean! Sometimes I don’t like male fragrances that are too “musky” when wanting to be clean. This smell is very very very soothing. I strongly recommended to anyone who uses aromatherapy.

This stuff is strong!! You can smell it on yourself even after the top notes fade. This was only reformulated once which is surprising. Same exact scent just a tad bit weaker. Spray a bit more then usual and you’re golden 👌🏻.

For a woman this is a safe blind but as a gift. For sure. It takes the right man with a certain personality to wear this. If you're a guy, try before buying.

Nobrainer22tx

The smell I imagine when someone says the word “perfume” is this. I imagine a classy chic female wearing this. It’s not quite my thing but it’s definitely not offensive. It’s a nice blend of things, a little something for everyone. Not any one thing just jumping out and overpowering my nose. Keep em guessing! I bet this is one you’d catch different hints of things each time you wear it.

vighletends

It smells really good, but it also reminds me of like.. developing hair dye….

jbonesXX

When this scent settles on my skin, it is warm lemon pound cake sprinkled with clovers, rose petals and cut greens.

I got a sample vial of Dylan Blue in a perfume order and saw it had black current which is in many of my favorite fragrances so I had high hopes it would be great on me as my go-to fragrances have been discontinued.

A little goes a looking way for me. It's a very strong almost overpowering scent with just one little spritz on my arm. My skin really seems to amp up citruses and it had a very strong green citrus scent for me initially that I thought was lime. I now see after looking up the notes that I'm smelling the green apple. After a few moments, the overpowering initial (to me) citrus scent pulls back a little and oh yes I'm getting the juicy bright green apple and something fruity sweet that must be the peach. I'm a little disappointed the black current isn't in the forefront but there is something deep and darker in the peach note that I think is the black current and patchouli.

After an hour, the strong tart green apple scent fades and the florals come out, and then it turns into a lovely not-too-sweet fruity desert that is creamy and, for me, like tart granny smith apples and slightly unripe tart peaches in cream sauce with a little golden honey that must be the clover and a hint of something like bright, floral gin or vodka. It's really nice.

Later, it's an dry musky light wood with still a little hint of jasmine and peach. The tart apple is gone and the darker deeper black current comes to the forefront and the honey clover scent is stronger.

My skin seems to sweeten and deepen woods and citrus and Dylan Blue is doing the same thing on me and I'm really enjoying it. It's cold dry winter day right now and I'm looking forward to trying Dylan Blue in the spring.

Okay so I am a sweet and gourmand fragrance lover, so this isn't something I'd reach for on paper, BUT it's sooo nice! I was gifted this and I was so pleasantly surprised. It's so pretty, not that sweet but something a female CEO would wear lol. It's pretty, and I personally think it's unique, I haven't really smelt anything like this before (but maybe I'm wrong!). I definitely think is a beautiful fragrance.

JesScent

Was excited to finally get my hands on a sample. Sprayed on paper this fragrance is heavenly. Sprayed on my skin, it instantly morphs into a horribly chemical old lady smell, like bug spray or bathroom cleaner :(

I’m jealous of the people who can wear this and have it smell on their skin as it does when sprayed on paper. It really was quite beautiful & unique on paper.

Not a blind buy, do yourself a favor and skin test this one first.

Marie0189

I absolutely love this perfume. The opening is sweet, fruity and airy enough to where it's not cloying and the dry down is more deep and musky but still smells good. However, I will say that this falls short for me in terms of longevity, it lasts about 2 hours on my skin, AT MOST, and afterwards it smells as though I never had any perfume on to begin with, there's not a trace of it left behind. I've found it also clings to clothes better than skin, however even then it disappears quite faster than some of the other perfumes I have that cling to clothing for days on end. I wouldn't repurchase this, it's honestly not worth what you get and there are definitely better fresh & fruity scents out there that last longer.

Dark_Venus

Initially I liked it because of the apple note but for whatever reason it morphed into smelling like a natural hair product lolol idk what it is but it just reminds me of something I would encounter when getting my hair done my local hair salon 😂. So to me it smells like something very generic. I agree with other commenters about it's longevity. Doesn't really last that long. I don't care much for the rose note. I don't care for rose in fragrances anyway. I love black currant but I don't detect it here. I don't detect a whole lot of fruitiness in this.

Cyanikra

Disappointing longevity on me. Like seriously i saw the review and it’s supposed to be moderate, but nope 1-2 hours and it’s gone. i have to really smell it real close to my clothes and skin. So sad, was looking for something floral/fruity fresh scent. But this one, hard pass. No repurchase..

If you like fruity floral fragrance this is a safe blindbuy, but beware of the performance. If you don’t mind to reapply it through out the day (buy the 30ml so you can fit it in your purse) then go for it (i was wearing it on indoor with full aircon).

FlowerSeeker

A lovely fresh floral. The apple is nice. Subtle soapy smell gives it a clean vibe. I like this!

puselabber

A blind buy, and I love it! Really love it. From the opening with the apple and blackcurrant to the creamy lotion-like styrax and musk in the dry down.
The opening also presents clover, wich I have never smelled in a perfume before, but in real life. It gives of a green floral element to the opening. Without the clover and the shiso, I think it would have been too sweet, and not as fresh. Because it's really fresh and fruity in the opening! Through the mid you get a fresh floral that is reminiscent of J'adore with its jasmine. But it holds on to the fresh fruity notes, wich makes this fragrance a perfect day to day contender for work or leasure. The dry-down is creamy, yet still fresh and clean. I'm trying not to mention shampoo, but it doesn't get much more shower-fresh than this! And imagine that without a any citruses or aquatic notes! Amazing! I love smelling clean, so for me it's YES!

chiaraherself

Kinda really enjoy this, there’s something very nostalgic about a specific note in this but I can’t pinpoint it.

_Aerides

Bright juicy apples with a currant touch and some synthetic floral tones. It does smell like shampoo which I loveeee 🥰, if you want a saltier version go for Dylan Turquoise, if you want a creamier one go with Dylan Purple, this is definitely a familiar scent when you smell it first time but it does it so perfectly well; it projects a lot- I can feel a nice scent bubble around me and it also lasts well, I wore this at night once and I could smell it until next day, if sprayed on clothes it's even stronger. If you're looking for a freshie that smells shampooey this is an amazing choice. I adore this scent! Versace forever 🥸

VIPMEN

as a lot of people said... it smells like green apple shampoo. Very clean and creamy. Its smells nice and the bottle is pretty too. Personally... i would not spend a lot of money on this one because it just smells like shampoo or body lotion. Its ok. It makes sense versace made this because it is a women marketed blue fragrance. Versatile and inofensive

PiscesGal

this was my go-to fragrance to grab whenever i was in a rush as it was a very non-offensive scent imo. super light and a nice smell for regular use. if you’re looking for attention grabbers this is not the fragrance.

AUyliong

Not bad but nothing remarkable. Freshie. Smells like just after taking a shower. Smells like water, shampoo and some kind of body cream.

Decent sillage although I am testing this out alongside YSL Libre EDP so it's being overpowered.

Feminine leaning but I could see a guy wearing this.

imacat88

I loved this fragrance at first wiff, tested it at a store, got home still loving the smell, bought it online, there was something familiar about it and i could not quite put my finger on it.
today finally i got it, its the ambroxan, even though its not listed here, it felt familiar because i love juliette has a gun not a perfume, Dylan Blue has a little of that, but brighter, more open, sweet and fresh.

Mags322

I purchased this a few year back and when I first smelt it I thought it was putrid. I recently found it at the back of my display cabinet and decided to give it a chance. Oh my word it smelt so lovely. I agree now that the smell resembles just walking out of a shower / steamy bathroom. But that’s not a bad thing right? It is a bit pricey if it smells like shower gel/ soap but I’m going to give it a chance. 😘

dantar

Reminds me of a bathroom, and I mean that as a whole. From showering to scrubbing the toilet. The apple is definitely there, very dandruff shampoo-like. You'd think that means she gives clean girl aesthetic but she doesn't; once you get past the shampoo scent, it smells like a freshly cleaned porcelain throne. I'm used to whiffing bathroom cleaning supplies but I can not for the life of me place which note/s is the offender. There's really not much to say about this one, it's just a sweet-aquatic scent in a pretty bottle.

luanneog

It smells delicate and gentle. It's fresh and green. But also fruity and floral with rose being the most prominent note. It's also kind of powdery. Not the most unique scent I've smelled but pleasant nonetheless.

SalinasL

I just like rose hip. And when I get rose hip from this, I’m happy. I like the look of the teeny blue mini bottle, which wasn’t very expensive anyway, so on the occasional day when I get a slight overripe apple smell, I’m not too disappointed. Sometimes a fresh green apple is quite forward and then it’s shampooey as others have said, but on rose hip days (which are the majority) it doesn’t have that shampoo/detergent-like edge and has a much more warm, delicate, and elegant aura, like pink-patterned teacups and sunny garden conservatories.

littlefang

A green apple-shampoo scent that smells expensive and clean, but does NOT last for more than a few minutes on my skin or on my clothes. Also a pretty generic, easy-to-find smell that I don't think is worth the price tag. When it comes to clean scents, looks like I'm sticking to bubble bath by replica.

Lauren387

This is a muskier version of DKNY Delicious. It smells pleasant but it isn’t outstanding or unique at all. I was looking forward to the currant, peach and jasmine but I get none of those notes. It’s a safe work perfume so maybe it will get some use there.

kitkatya

my hairdresser commented on my scent & told me whatever i was wearing makes me smell rich, but i think this makes me smell cheap. fruity alcohol, w green apple distinguishable but everything else turning into a hazy general "fruity" note. dries down shampoo, not offensive, but definitely boring. does not drive me crazy with hate nor do I find anything exciting in it

fourleafedrover8

Fresh fruity blast followed by horrible powder wave that settled to basically smelling like Acqua di Gioia danced with a fruit. It’s not horrible. Bottle is beautiful. I do agree that the long dry down is all appley shampoo but as a freshy lover I’d prefer that over some powder, eternal old lady scent.

unrealgirl

simple fresh shampooey scent

Kimiaka

I love this. I also love Hyrax by Zoologist, ma bête by Eris, Foxy by DSH. I love animatics but for some reason, this simple pretty, fruity, shampoo-y not too sweet scent just makes me happy. That’s enough of a reason to rock it and own a full bottle.

acapella

I’ve been really into smelling like shampoo recently so this is just my vibe..a very garnier fructisse vibe. I’m sure you get a cheaper perfume that does this but I just really love the bottle too

ilydemirel

That's like one of them victoria's secret's some body mist. Too basic scent. Fruity but synthetic. Also smells like shampoo,i dont like it.

sarahlage

It's a simple fresh and clean scent, so it is quite pleasing. As others have said, this fragrance is reminiscent of shampoo or body wash. I would even venture to say that the smell resembles that of Tide Pods or laundry detergent. I would not purchase this as there are less expensive scents that accomplish the same thing (plus these clean, showery scents aren't for me), but I do like it! I also think it leans masculine.

perfumelovere

Upon initially spraying it's a beautiful, pretty apple floral shampoo scent that seems appealing to the masses, however, I feel like there's some clashing between all the flowers after it settles down. Regretfully like most designer perfumes these days I don't get much projection. I love the apple part and some of the flowers but there's something stale and outdated/old that has me on the hunt for a complimentary perfume to layer it with.

Andy224

My fellow reviewers below are right on this smelling like straight up green Apple shampoo/body lotion and, as much as I love the bottle, because it reminds me so much of DKNY’s ‘Be Delicious’ (that I already own) I wouldn’t buy.

aa:]05

Initial- apple and blackberry and clover, very fruity and green! The perfume doesn’t really suit the bottle, it’s quite fresh.
After 1 hour- fruity roses, the scent hasn’t developed too much asides the formation of a newly bloomed roses note.
After three hours- apples and green florals, fading a little now
After five hours- Jasmine, rose and apple are still the dominating notes in my skin, sillage has decreased quite a bit, on clothes as well the sillage is less strong but the scent is a little more fruity
After 10 hours- slightly muskier now, it’s quite faint now on skin

Sillage- 5.5/10 (a little more than arm length for the first few hours)
Longevity- 6/10
Scent- 7/10

Overall- I like the perfume more than what I used to, my taste in perfumes have slightly changed the last couple years, this is great for daytime wear in the summer/spring, I don’t think you have to be a “boss” as such to wear it as advertised, the way the perfume is described really doesn’t suit, it’s very fresh. I don’t think it’s exactly a safe blind buy but it is at the same time? I guess you could say after about 5 hours it smells like semi expensive fruity shampoo. Don’t let the fancy looking bottle trick you!!

lauraimelda

This is an easy reach, clean shampoo smelling perfume. I wear this one unintentionally exclusive to work.

Frabra88

Latelely I am obsessed with clean, detergent and shampoo like apples! I never liked fruity scent but declined this way I find them posh! Some of them smell boyish too, and I have a soft spot for that... I find them comforting like the clean sheets of a boyfriend! So, I have given Dylan Blue another chance...I still prefer the much cheaper Zara Wander Rose So Intense and the gorgeous Floro by Jeroboam, in those the apple note lives until the end and they are much powdery.
Versace Dylan Blue Pour Femme edp is much more woody but still an excellence in the shampoo/clean apple genre. The apple and flowers notes united with the strong woods and styrax take a soapy, plasticky, waxy feel...its kinda a lucid perfume... like the hair of the Versace runway models, glossy like the the magazines in which I always find their ads!

It opens with an overdose of crunchy apple, much crisp, full of water and fresh, but sour. It is not fruity sweet, even that little of balck berry that is mixed with the apple is almost sour.
There is much greenery in the opening, I am sure that shiso note helps quite a bit in that regard...it's not herbal though, but much green like freshly cut grass and freshly spicy. I don't know if of the clover they used the flowers or the greenery....I think the latter since there is nothing flowery or honeyed or sweet at this stage. The forget me not note is an imaginary one...it smells just green, like daisys.
The opening lends a bit medicinal/herbal remedy too on my skin but my chemistry always amplifies the green accords.
It is also a persistent and strong opening.

When this stage fades and the scent opens to the middle I can start to feel its true identity.
All the flowers are mixed beautifully and smell much soapy! But not like a bar of soap, more like a shower gel.
Yes, they smell much synthetic but I like it just the same...actually their blend smell chimical as in detergent like!
The interaction of the flowers with the tea like peach (and what remains of the apple note) makes this smell like a shampoo too, particulary like the classic green one from Garnier, the Fructis (with kiwi on the packaging) that I used in my youth.
What I can say about the flowers is that I particularly pick up the jasmine, a light chemical rose and the rose hip for sure, the last one is a bit earthy and probably a bit apple-y too!
At this point the musk has already enveloped all the other notes, it is a potent white musk, much clean and again detergent like, synthetic to the teeth. What truly elevates the scent and makes this an unique/strange one in my eyes are the woodsy notes and the styrax. It is from the woods that the scent truly take its character.

So we arrived to the dry down: Versace says the woods in it are white, to me they smell kinda blonde. It is a mix of sweet woody notes that smell like clean and polished light woods. They are both dry and creamy. Actually, that depends on when I wear it, if it is winter the woods are much more creamy, not in a lactonic sense but more like velvety, and smell both sweet and a little sour, while in spring and summer the result is more dry and scratchy, this all from the same little bottle.
I like how they smell, it is the best part of the scent togheter with the styrax and the light wash of fruityness that remains (in the dry down you can still smell some of the black berry and an apple undertone, like a fruit puree). And this woods project strongly.
I don't smell proper patchouli in the mix, just a generic earthyness but the styrax mixes with woods beautifully, and it gives sweetness, warmness and a bit of vanillic feel. It seems it is used sparingly though, no smokyness or true balsamic facet, although a bit of the latter does came out if I wear Dylan Blue during winter, it is a very reactive fragrance, almost two different scent when used in spring or winter.

It is a strange one this perfume...and probably a bit surpassed.
Personally I wear it rarely, I prefer the Versace of old, the Versace of Gianni, the one of The Dreamer or Blonde perfume, which I love with all my heart.
But still...this sometimes calls my name! It fits a kind of rigorous and aseptic style while still being colorful. I see that many find it scratchy and I think the secret is to not overspray, that will destroy the fragrance, it is best to dose it and let it open little by little...I assure you it gets more velvety and warm.
To me it screems new Versace style, a bit kitsch, it reflects that kinda of new rich, fake and Barbie aesthetic that Versace has now, which is ok...I mean, at least it is more unique!

Versace says about it that it is "a tribute to femininity" and "a strong, sensuous, refined fragrance"; I don't agree with them...if it is sensuality that I want then I would stay away from Dylan Blue and maybe go to Versace Crystal Noir edp and edt, just to name something of the brand.
The glossy, amphora-shaped bottle with the medusa on it fits the Versace line and the scent perfectly but that blue color doesn't quite represent the essence of the juice... it goes with its name, I know, but I would have chosen a purple similar to that of Versace Dylan Purple Pour Femme.

As for its performance, it is strong! It last for seven to eight hours on me, with dry down enduring until the day after. Projection is good, it creates a strong bubble around me and it leaves behind a clean and woody trail. Overspraying is not needed and actually, I will say it again, it ruins the perfume.

Bettybotox

The curtains do not match the drapes. 😛

A complete mismatch between bottle and juice.

That said, it's a perfectly appropriate daytime summer scent when you want to keep things no-frills simple.
That 'just washed my hair and jumped out of the shower' freshness.

Don't let the bottle fool you into thinking this is a magical femme fatale love potion like I did. It's not.

Performance is moderate. If you're looking for 90s shampoo vibes, this is your girl.

reginasiena

Can't believe I love this. At first spray I think It can be too childish but It's so fun and seductive in some way. The green apple lead the show not too sour not too loud but, other floral notes build the mood. The musk is there softly singing. Yes smells like shampoo but I don't mind because the sillage and longevity is amazing. The expensive fruity smell!

wo0berry

The initial spray reminded me of my rose candle , the dry down however smelled really nice and friendly- exactly how Veet almond oil afterwax care paper smells.
I’d definitely recommend for people in office to give this beauty a try

dj71

I tested this for the first time today on my skin. Initial spray was strong and I did smell some apple for a brief time, but as it dried down, it smelled very soapy and clean, and when I say soap, I mean like the way a bar of zest soap in the shower smells (Do they even make Zest anymore?). Not a bad scent at all for anyone who wants that clean fresh smelling scent, but I can also say that this one disappeared rather quickly. I couldn't smell it at all after about 2 hours.

Paolavvh

Huele a manzana verde. Es bastante llamativo el olor al igual que dulce cítrico. Literal, manzana verde un poco sintética

marietangerine

Fresh and fruity green on a musk base. Shampoo-y. Reminds me of Bond No. 9 Sag Harbour. I find this very unisex.

jessica_chinos

OMG, my skin destroys this perfume. It smells like fabric softener and detergent, it hurts my nose. It is the cheap version of Pure Musc from Narciso Rodríguez. But Pure Musc smells like elegant cleanliness, Dylan Blue is just detergent. Thankfully, it has no sillage and no performance, so I don't have to suffer for too long. It happens the same thing with Dylan Turquoise. Both detergent aromas on my skin. Quite sad, since many people recommend them. But, even if they were good scents, they don't last... So, I do not recommend them.

EDIT - 4 MONTHS LATER: I was trying to sell this perfume and kept it in its box for 4 months. Since it was not selling I decided to give it another chance and try it again... OH MY GOD, after the 4-month maceration the perfume now smells AMAZING, it changed so much. Now it smells aquatic, like the female version of Dylan Blue for men, it does not smell like detergent or fabric softener anymore, but I would have to say it smells like an aquatic shower gel, an expensive one. It smells so harmonious, summery and profound. Now I like it and I will not sell it. Great for summer. The performance on this improved incredibly, it projects to arm's length (before it stayed close to the skin from the beginning) and it lasts about 3-4 hours (before it lasted only 30 min.).

So, if you don't like this, macerate! :D

If you buy this perfume and smells bad, spray it 3 times and leave it to macerate in its box, the result will outstand you.

Red Jaguar

At first I found this scent to be a generic shampoo type of scent which is what I wanted. But for some reason today wearing it directly on my skin in spring weather, I kept getting this medicinal scent. It reminds me of the way a flea collar smells. I sprayed again later and after the initial blast it dried right back to that veterinarians waiting room smell. So I looked up the notes and I think it's the shiso note, it's almost minty but not quite. Anyway it does not work with my skin chemistry at all right now. It goes from that tangy green to a downright stale dirty smell which may be a bit of the patchouli in the base idk. Maybe I'll try it in different weather and have a different experience.

HannahRosesAreRed

Dylan Blue threw me for a loop. Like many other reviewers, I found that this dark, Greco-Roman and slightly pretentious bottle was a complete mismatch for the sweet, flirty, youthful and fresh fragrance. The comparisons to hair shampoos are apt. Dylan Blue is sweet, light, fresh and fruity, more Herbal Essences than Versace. In fact I would compare this scent–a combination of juicy fruits such as apple, peach and even a little concord grape, combined with classic hair gel smells such as rosehips and and white florals–to the fragrances from OUAI, such as North Bondi or even Melrose Place, both incidentally shampoo scents as well.

I would call this a light, fun and refreshing spring and summer scent, a good grab-and-go, great for strolls in the park, a day out with friends, or even the workplace, in the right doses. The sillage is decent, and the longevity quite respectable. Performance-wise, Dylan Blue delivers, and is super pleasant and fun. However, for the price point, it's not quite distinctive or significantly unique enough to justify it, at least for my budget.

Overall, Dylan Blue's presentation as a luxury fragrance does not match it's lightweight and flirty hair care-like performance, but objectively, there is nothing wrong with smelling above average fresh, fruity and clean. In fact I rather like it, though there are other scents at a lower price point who can do the same.

EDIT: Never mind–I kept coming back to the scent card sample and caved, got it at a discount. It's going in my rotation now!

Ghadah02

I like it because it is a shampoo-like fruity and has a playful scent overall.

GoodVibrations

Stays close to the skin. Clean and smooth. Apples and lipstick. A little bit of clean musk. Friendly.

Mroger848

I will agree with everyone who says the bottle doesn’t match the scent. That doesn’t mean its not good.. it’s actually very nice for the summer .. it’s fresh with out being soapy.. however when you look at the bottle your expecting something in the family of Guerlain but you get more of a Escada/Dior type of scent (fresh playful and light) .. I wear it on days where I’m running errands in a cute floral romper and strappy sandals in this Florida heat.. it’s definitely a fun fresh and unbothered type of scent

r0sebud

the round bottle is just delicious to hold. sniffing this conjures an image of me being drowned in a man's much larger white work shirt while sitting on his cool sheets in a dark apartment. the scent of a masculine (not toxically so), quietly brilliant guy. suave, but not overbearing. you can wear this to work, but you will stand out in an office.

got this in a limited edition gift set that came with shower gel and body lotion. the shower gel scent stays on skin FOREVER. i've never experienced any shower gel like this.

KrisGreen

I’m surprised I’m the only man who wears this after reading reviews. I also have the Dylan Blue Pour Homme but this was a must have when it came out. The one thing I can say about the men and women’s Dylan blue is they are the closest to a man/woman counterpart that I’ve ever smelled.

Anyway this had its own traits. I got a new full bottle plus a travel size and something is off. It still smells good with the same vibe. When it came out the green Apple is what stood out more than anything else. It lingered and followed you room to room. The Apple is now kinda drowned out with too much black currant. A little currant is ok but this must just be a temporary reformulation due to redistribution for ingredients. I’ve seen it happened before and revert back a year later.

It smells very mystical. When I close my eyes I feel like I’m holding the green Apple that Eve handed to Adam while flowing in a canoe down the Amazon river while Unicorns drink the water as I wave at them. I’ve been wearing this for years, prefer the pour homme but pour femme is still a masterpiece in its own right.

It isn’t generic at all. It’s still a powerhouse when you aren’t nose blind. If you wear fragrances daily like me, it won’t smell as strong. Trust me
Others CAN smell you. And they WILL. It’s a big compliment getter from the girls and the guys. It takes the right man to pull this off without layering.

caprilyic

extremely generic. smells like flipping through a magazine

MishaGericke

This is one of my favorite scents. It's almost mouth-wateringly fruity while still keeping its floral essence. I also like the interplay of the notes on my skin, creating a scent that seems to be constantly moving between lighter fruity notes and the heavier floral and woods. It's a lovely balance between light and dark, and it evokes that "just showered" fresh scent and feeling that holds throughout the day.

kj77

After owning it for a few months , I can say that’s it’s not my type of fragrance . I do like green scents but not enough to have it has a perfume . I don’t have anything to layer it with ..

ReeReeLove

This was a blind buy for me and initially I wasn't in love, it was just ok to me. But now I can't get enough of it. It smells so fresh and clean. Something about it makes me think of the ocean or sea. It's so vibrant and strong in the best way possible. This will definitely be a staple in my collection.

banillavean

the most luxurious, lemony(??) shampoo scent. my boyfriend loves it so i must get a bottle soon.

girldeadbug

Tested at Sephora. I used to love this. On paper it’s fruity fresh clean. It’s alright. Not a must have anymore.

ashdenies

I love this smell on a tester strip: all the notes blend together to create a feminine-but-not-girly delicious shot of floral fruity goodness. If it smelled like that on me, it probably wouldn't be a go-to scent, as I tend to lean more unisex in my preferences, but I would enjoy it. Unfortunately, blackcurrant has a way of ruining almost any fragrance that interacts with my skin, turning it jammy. I wish I got more of the Granny Smith and peach notes, but they're buried deep under that sticky blackcurrant. As other reviewers have mentioned, I'm also getting some soapiness, especially in the dry down. It's not for me.

swaggy

smells like the liquid amoxicillin i had to take as a child. not in a bad way.

Lindsayaw89

Smells like a generic shampoo.

Raquel Kay

I find this fragrance sophisticated and for the older lady although it comes off a little soapie for me. Longevity and silleage are moderate.

The bottle is exotic and classy! Love it.

Kucemi

upon whiff from the bottle, it seemed fruity summery perfume which is sweet, yet refreshing and does not overwhelmingly scream something like: look! strawberries/apples/any fruit you can think of! On my skin, it does exactly that at the start: it is very juicy and sweet for first 10-20 mins, just like herbal essences shampoo, but after that it turns into a tamed down apple/peach scent that is almost bitter but still carries the juicy overtones from the start. It is like veery distant cousin of J'adore by Dior. Then it starts turning again away from juicy undertones into sharp soap with the same fruit base in it which is frankly weird combo - soapy but fruity too. Very weak on the skin, I must press my nose on the wrist to smell it. Overall, the green apple peach stage was quite pleasant in its pure form but it only lasted minutes then the musky/shampoo scent started taking over, making it quite generic scent which does not have that much special to bring to the table. If you like the slightly sweet almost buttery peach scent, j'adore makes it better.

jazzscent13

Jasmine and green apple bomb… it’s great for fall and winter. The projection is moderate, but the longevity is beast mode.
It’s pretty linear ( a little basic) and smell like a really good soap. The bottle is pretty also.. I will continue to have this in my collection, but only for a discounted price.

qinny

A clean, citrus that works for the summer. Similar to the style of DG Light blue. Smells very similar to a Frutis Shampoo but not in a bad way. Just clean and easy-going. The only downside is that it does not last long but the projection is great.

sandra_101

It's a fresh mess. On my skin, it gives green apple drugstore shampoo vibes and then some tacky synthetic floral-fruit, and that's about it. Next.

harperpeshhe

This is predominately a green apple shampoo. Nature’s Organics Fruits maybe? Perfect for the clean aesthetic. It’s well blended and smooth with quite good lasting power. I personally don’t think the bottle matches the fragrance inside though. Not quite my type of scent but I do like the bottle. My daughter really enjoys the scent but doesn’t like the bottle.

habiba ahmed

yes it's fruity greeny scent ..which is not my fav..as i prefer fruity floral scents..but if you like greeny fresh scents that will be amazing for you

banjerine

Green apple lollipops and discount shampoo.

Brighter44

Smells like the lower end Jadore the 2011 toilette version. Bubble gum tuberose even though tuberose isn’t listed in the notes, is very much there like all other mall fragrances. It’s pleasant but generic.

Rainstorm

This is the most aggressive attack to the human senses after euphoria CK. it literally feels like it’s attempting to choke me with so much cheap chemicals I may die of toxic inhalation. After that it becomes nauseating. It’s incredibly Strong, the alcohol blast seems to stay put and this synthetic smell does not subside. It has an incredibly artificial Fruity smell amongst the fog of chemicals and is just plain headache inducing and acid forming. It smells not like a fresh organic orchard but more like a round up ready GMO crop. I don’t like this. This is an understatement. It is so chemical it feels like I’m in danger and need to stay well clear of any fumes. Nothing enjoyable to this at all. Had it a few years now and was gifted it. Tried it on again today to see if my sense of smell has changed. Eurgh. No. It’s got to go. I don’t understand people saying this is a fresh, shampoo scent. Light and clean. If smelling like chemicals is feeling fresh and clean then sure. Terrible ‘fragrance’.

girldeadbug

I absolutely love DBPF. It smells spicy and fruity, very sexy. A wee bit powdery but I don’t mind that personally.

perfumeprincessa

I don’t find this fresh at all. Smells more like fruit juice/cocktail than shampoo, to me. As much as I love sweet scents, for some reason I just don’t love this one.. It’s the kind of scent that can trigger a headache & nausea the more I smell it.

Fenissa

I blind bought this around two years ago, purely for the gorgeous blue bottle. It's a love for the bottle, but a only like for the perfume.
Donnatella is quoted as saying "I created a strong, sensuous yet refined fragrance for a woman who knows her own power"
The fragrance doesn't hit that brief for me. It's fruity floral, like shampoo as other's have stated. I don't find it sensuous or strong. That said, I do enjoy reaching for it straight after a shower. However, I have yet to wear it out in a social setting. It's more of a safe daytime fragrance when you just want to smell clean but not sensuous, or refined, or powerful.

Longevity is moderate, as is silage. I get about 4-5 hours wear before it's gone. That's about perfect for a safe daytime scent, after which I can switch to something that is boss bitch sensuous like La Nuit Tresor.

That blue bottle though. Gorgeous! Even the cylindrical box it is packaged in is beautiful. It's a bit of a shame the juice doesn't match the dramatic bottle, but it's still a pretty fragrance for daytime wear.

adice

Fruity/sweet, floral, and fresh. Yes agree with everyone saying it's soapy or shampoo like - I'd say it gives me salon or spa product vibes. Very easy to wear. Just a clean hair or fresh out of the shower type of scent. I will use up my travel spray but at the moment I doubt I'll buy more.

As far as scents I'd put in the soapy/spa/salon "genre" I personnally prefer things like Byredo's Mojave Ghost (just buy the hair mist - it's perfection in summer), Miller Harris Lumiere Doree (more on the clean laundry side of things), or even MFK Aqua Celestia (salon/hair product vibe) over this one.

eliya_rose

yeah i agree with others reviews, decent when it is first sprayed but dry down is straight shampoo and cheap shampoo at that, not bad just not special and very weak

freshgenie

I think this is that scent that everybody loves, like it's my most complimented scent. It either goes unnoticed or gets love. Never negativity tbh. It's what I go for when I'm going for the safest option.

fragranceboy97

I have posted a review once before on this one. However since previously saying I really love it, turns out I don’t. Fresh, fruity and too confusing with the notes. As a gourmand lover once turned fresh fan I really don’t reach for this at all anymore. The bottle is beautiful though.

tessvdz

Dry down to me is very faint on this one. Smells like clean shampoo with a veryyyy faint hint of fruit. mostly just fresh/clean and a bit boring

Siennai

Fruity Green apple shampoo. Dry down is lovely woody musk, more my style but all that fruitiness is not so not fbw for me.

annasarahr121

Dylan Blue is a likable, pretty, clean, fresh, shampoo-ey scent; it reminds me of the apple-scented shampoo I used back in high school or college. And while I used to turn my nose up at shampoo-like scents, I definitely enjoy them now. But despite its good smell, Dylan Blue just doesn't knock my socks off. Maybe I prefer even more floral shampoo-ey scents, like Britney Spears Curious, or fresh apple scents with a stronger character, like DKNY Be Delicious or the more recent Swiss Arabian Valencia. In any case, for me, this is not full bottle worthy.

FRAGLORD3000

This smells like a blue lagoon or a waterfall or a lake im entranced. It smells sweet yet refreshing. I could see shampoo sure cuz it feels like a shower under a waterfall its heavenly but my garnier isnt smelling this good. This smells really mysterious delicious and fresh, a darkquatic if you will, definitely not open ocean more a secluded cove in a lake. Cold freshwater natural springs vibes. Lotsa green apple but with secrets. If smelling like some apple shampoos wrong i dont wanna be right.

Addkat19

I tested this one at ulta on a whim. I have been eyeing the bottle and wanted to fall in love. Was not in love at first spritz. Not offensive- just not for me. Thought aquatic immediately, so I'm very surprised not to see that. Definitely pick up on the shampoo vibes. HOWEVER- this dries down beautifully! The coat I was wearing last night still has some remnants and it becomes very soft, sweet and much more floral.

fragheadny

Cheap hairspray. That's all.

GrenadeGirl

Lol, I cannot top the review by @summer meadow, below, it was pretty much EXACTLY what I was going to write!

Love, love, love this fragrance! Fresh, happy, and vibrant

Summer Meadow.

Love at first smell! This one smells: fresh and young, fun and sexy, clean and fresh, all at the same time! This beautiful perfume; gives me energy and makes me feel sexy and ready to take on the world!

Showard3

Smells exactly like Suave Kids Detangler spray😂😂😂.

Flowers bloom here

I finally got a mini of Dylan Blue! It opens super fruity with a nice scent bubble wafting for hours and drys down as a soft fruity/floral/woody scent... It smells like Eros, yellow diamond, bright crystal abs. And woman all flawlessly mix together with a pinch of dkny be delicious sprinkled on top. I guess that makes Dylan Blue the perfect any occasion perfume and definitely Signature worthy... It's an instant love for me <3

VIPMEN

the opening is nice, interesting. You get that apple and black currant mix. It does, like most people say, remind you of shampoo. Then, the dry down is just like body lotion. So, the whole scent is very "chemical", shampoo-body cream... I see why they took this direction (that dylan -blue- vibe) but i dont think you should pay a lot of money for this. The bottle is beautiful though.

AshBud

My goodness, I love everything Versace produces and Dylan Blue is no exception. I really cant differientiate the notes because everything is so well blended together. As another reviewer described, its like stepping into a high end hair salon. Clean, fresh floral, a little fruity, not screechy at all. I think this could be worn year round. If you're on the fence, just try it. I really cant imagine someone not liking this.

NoorbBelgium

It smells like shampoo and it's wonderful!! Beautiful bottle, lovely fresh sweet aroma. There is a white blossom, jasmine, on the initial spray, and the jasmine here is delicate, rounded, creamy, even-tempered, and non-screechy. It's unexpectedly nice, and the mixture is smooth and well-blended. A bit floral and a little sweet. Pleasant, non-offensive, non-headache provoking, light, fresh, and clean! It smells like sheer sophistication, modernity, light-heartedness, and playfulness. Workplace friendly! I fell in love right away. Green apple smell is lovely, but this one has more elegance, charm, and warmth; it's extremely nicely put together.

amg7613

A bright and crisp green apple that dries down into an elegant shampoo. I LOVE this fragrance and can’t stop spraying it on me. I do not even detect the patchouli in it (but maybe this is what is helping it last). I don’t have a lot of experience with individual notes yet, but this perfume is interesting as it has so many (like I see with vintage perfumes). It can be a bit loud at first (spray with caution).

LEM922

Honestly, I am slightly confused by the scent. I received a sample of it in the mail, and I just had the option to pick from a few different fragrances and just so happened to pick this one. I don't know what to make of it. I mean at face value it's a floral fragrance… But there's so much more to it than that. I smell woods. I smell patchouli (unfortunately), I smell just the slightest hint of fruit… But above all, I smell that petalia note. It's the same note that's in Prada candy sugar pop , and it's so distinctive. I will say, the more time you give this fragrance to develop the better it starts to smell, but at first it just smells like… So many different things. I only get the apple in the opening. Once it starts to dry down, it turns into a woody floral scent on my skin pretty quickly. All in all, it's not a bad scent, but I don't think its full bottle worthy, at least not for me.

stephm42120

I really enjoy this one. A cozy feminine and floral scent. Perfect for a sunny day or a workout. I think this would really thrive in the heat. It smells like apple shampoo. It also lasts pretty long - 6 hours.

Edit: It doesn’t smell bad but I’m not the biggest fan of the dry down. Now lately it smells like Secret deodorant to me. I think it works better in the heat. It’s a like but it’s not a love.

Jonafree

At first, I found Dylan Blue confusing. There scent seemed sterile and demurely female and professional...except for that blackcurrant note! It clashed - it was feminine and sensual like nothing else in the bottle.

I gave it time, and I started to appreciate the dichotomy of the fragrance's main body with the blackcurrant. In my opinion, this is a scent for a woman who means business, but won't compromise who she is. A woman who gets stuff done, but doesn't lose herself in the rush.

Dylan Blue makes me feel focused and empowered. I spray it on when I am feeling overwhelmed and have a lot of work ahead of me. The scent seems to say, "You can do it!"

I can see the creator's vision shining through. For me, it does exactly what Donatella described: "Dylan Blue pour femme is my tribute to femininity. So I created a strong, sensuous yet refined fragrance for a woman who knows her own power." - Donatella Versace.

Kaleigha

Very first impression...
I had zero expectations for this. Got a sniff of Dylan Turquoise a while back, and really liked it, so when Sephora offered a tester of Dylan Blue, I thought why not? Not a fan of the bottle design - looks a bit overdone for my taste - but the perfume itself is so nice! Initial spray was gorgeous, dry down is really pleasant and cozy. Not too sweet, not too citrusy, not too aquatic. This one is really, really nice. Going to use my sample up, but definite potential to be full bottle worthy.

Shanipoo

It smells like you just got out of a salon and they put a bunch of products in your hair. You're not sure what you are smelling but it still smells amazing! It's clean, fresh and still has a touch of floral to give it depth and girliness. It is very well blended note wise. I smell the apple which reminds me of Garnier, then the rosehip reminds me of Herbal Essences. I actually can smell the clover but to me it just gives it a bit of a masculine green touch. This is a cold fresh floral that truly is perfect for spring and summer, but could be worn as a signature scent as there is nothing too "seasonal" about it. I would honestly say it is a safe blind buy if you want the best smelling shampoo/laundry softener/floral blend. I got the ovetto but wish I had gotten a bigger size as I can see myself using this when I'm not sure what else to wear for the occasion.

arizonaruby

I find this to be a pretty run-of-the-mill fruity floral. It’s quite crisp, with strong green apple and peach notes combined with a generic floral smell. Fairly nice but nothing special. Longevity and sillage both disappointingly weak.

AttePatte

I can def smell the green apple, black currant and even the horse hip.

A sopay, out of the shower fragrance.

I wear it to the gym/after shower.

Reminds me a bit of hairspray since it's a bit synthetic. That's also why it's not my favorite.
Crowd pleaser I'd say.

Will wear it but not buy again.

Lykopa

Yeah! This is a very clean, aquatic fruit scent. Like an expensive shampoo. I can’t pick out any individual note, but it still smells nice. It’s a tad generic, but very nice.

Forbiddenjade

Tested on the back of my hand, one spray, it quickly faded in few minutes. BUT! One hour later it burst into life like a phoenix from its ashes.

Musky with a feeble fruity echo. This reacted incredibly well with my skin PH. I have drier skin than most and cold, so those with similar type may enjoy the same surprising stunt from this fragrance. It is not projecting beastly but lingered around for a good 7 hours on me.

This will be a fresh, charming number for spring quiet mornings. Lovely!

ellovesperfume

pretty generic. similar to jadore or lancome idole. pleasant but not special enough for a full bottle

tazattack

Amazing scent, it had my heart

toastgirl5

This is an excellent perfume. It is cool, blue, feminine... and sweet in all the right ways. It is balanced beautifully by musky base notes.
It is hard to pick out one distinctive note - which I like, it is a little more mysterious than just simply smelling of roses or peach.
I can imagine an admirably classy lady fresh from the hair salon with a crisp white shirt and tanned summer skin walking past me, maybe on the phone to her boyfriend, who will probably love this scent!

jaejaejae

tested at ulta. it definitely smells like a shampoo but in the best way possible. it's sweet, slightly tart, definitely a fresher scent. loving the apple in the opening. would be a super easy every-day scent. the bottle is gorgeous. i wouldn't mind buying a bottle. i can't see this perfume being offensive to anyone. it's youthful and pretty.

ca$hm3re

This is one of those scents that you’d smell on someone in the street and be like wow they smell amazing and then you’d never smell it again, but always remember getting a whiff of something lovely.

It’s not super distinguishable in that it is very much a fruity shampoo-y scent, but that’s not to dismiss this. I LOVE this, my mum loves it, my sister loves it, my boyfriend loves it. It’s a lovable scent. I have to believe that the reason many of the reviews are a dislike… are people mad that it’s not more complex or sophisticated, but that’s not only what fragrance is about. It doesn’t have to reinvent the wheel to be enjoyable and worth adding to your collection, even if the vibe has been done before. For me it is fun and pretty, and for me the vibe is the pretty nepotism baby has just walked past you and left this trail behind (which is very fitting as the face is the one and only Bella Hadid, one of the favourite nepo babies at the moment). And who doesn’t wanna smell like that 🤷♀️. Love this and would definitely recommend to all!!

mugler defender 🤺

I love this scent. It's clean, fruity, and unisex with a bit of girly floral notes, which I typically find overpowering in many perfumes, but I like in this one.

laperfumamor

Starts off tart and unisex before fading into something saccharine. I’d love a full bottle of this stuff.

Heavenly Heather

Fresh, fruity and clean smelling. Like you just hopped out of the shower after lathering your hair with an expensive shampoo. Very apple forward but you can also pick up on the peach, black currant, rose and musk. This was an easy reach for me over the summer. It’s a crowd pleaser and a pretty safe blind buy.

auds-nose

Totally agree with JBSherry & Avril- this is a fresh and pleasing scent- inoffensive & reminds me of a sophisticated French lady who wafts in a gentle cloud of elegance- don't hate it... it's just a sweet inoffensive perfume- may become a signature perfume for me- unsure, because I love my Bulgari l'eau exquise ;)

fragranceboy97

Forgot my perfume on a holiday and took it as a perfect excuse to go buy new perfume, after testing a heap, I chose Dylan Blue. This is so pretty! Such a nice, clean sweet smell. The bottle is gorgeous too, very happy with this one!

JayTheBird

I really really really like this one! 😍 A friend of mine has used this for a long time and I always just keep sniffing her when she is near me. Had to finally buy my own bottle.
I don't really have anyhting new to say about this. This a beautiful, fresh, fun, and very loveable scent. It does have that Garnier fructis vibe as many have said, but totally in a good way. Someone before mentioned this having that some sort of hairproduct scent, and I get that. Some mousse maybe? I just love it how this makes you smell like you have just showered and done your hair and you are clean and fresh and ready to tackle the day. 💛
On my friend this is very fruity, the apple being very clear on her. On my skin this turns out slighly more floral, but not too much. And the fruityness is still there on my skin too.
This is just lovely. Like happiness in a bottle.

Laurenhenry

This is a very nice perfume. It’s very sweet and clean smelling which kinda gives it that shampoo/shower smell which I think some people don’t really like. However, this is one that anyone could smell on you and think that you smell good. Very likable, feminine, fresh, and youthful. Very good every day scent especially for spring and summer

katieyaryes

I feel like I used one of my dad's colognes after taking a shower with an Aussie or Herbal Essences shampoo. That's not a bad thing, per say, but not really what I'm going for

XOXO_marcel

Jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The initial spray has a shampoo quality, which disappears after a few minutes. On the dry-down it transforms into a beautiful creamy rose with a hint of peach. Yes, there are other fragrances with this scent profile, but this one is exceptionally well-blended. You will smell like other people, but better. You will also smell so, so clean...and that alone makes it worthwhile to have!

SmellsLikeMoneyWellSpent

simple, Nothing-to-Remember kind of scent, I have at least five similar, easy to use on the go, after gym or when You need scent-no scent kinda vibe

Annimirjami

I love this fragrance. It's fresh and very floral and fruity. It's perfect for every day and for every season. The longevity is quite weak, but for me it's okay. It has become my go-to signature scent.

Fatima1219

Beautiful Bottle! Pleasant fragrance and a huge compliment-getter. To me, it is not complex, or anything super special. It is appropriate for anything during the day, especially at the office. Average sillage, average longevity...

Thalianna

It's fine. I def get that clean shampoo scent that others have described. It's a refreshing scent, good for summer. Work appropriate as it's clean and inoffensive. It's just not my personal style. I wouldn't buy it, but if it was gifted to me or I got a sample as part of an order (which is how I tried it) I would wear it.

Nidoroki

It’s so fresh and clean. My sister asked if I oversprayed because she could smell me so strong (I used 3 sprays) and this was after like 4 hours of applying. And yeah it does smell like a hair product, kind of weird at first but I slowly fell in love with it, I think it’s a crowd pleaser.

tilapia_johnson

Green apple-black currant-peach-rose-musk. I do get the shampoo simile, but it is a little less insipid than Turquoise. I am seduced by the stranger notes: clover, forget-me-not, shiso, rose hip, but I think that these could be adding a dark-green element to this fragrance as easily as the patchouli in the base (I maybe only get the shiso because it reminds me of the Harry's soap). It's definitely feminine, youthful, and fruity, but not as playful and girly as my beloved Bright Crystal Absolu. It's more casual, and a great likable designer fragrance.

oliviababovic

This is a great scent if you want to smell like summer. It's very fruity, but sophisticated at the same time. When I first smelled it I thought of showering after you've been at the beach - this gives you that feeling. I could see a teenager wearing this just because of the shampoo smell, but its a great scent to me

likesleet

dark, sweaty (peach), and zesty green apple. herby, garden.

amyaz

It's a nice everyday kind of scent. Very light and fresh but good sillage and staying power. I feel like this one gets overlooked alot, it does kind of give the shampoo smell vibe but I think thats what gives it its "everyday wear" type of vibe.

I actually get alot of the clover and other floral notes over the fruity ones. But the fruitiness balances this out nicely and i think thats why I can like this perfume, usually I am not someone who enjoys floral. I can't say this is unique but it is nice and I can't imagine anyone disliking it. I feel any age can wear this.

Maddiec1999

Such a lovely clean shampoo scent. Reminds me of Garnier shampoo. Works well in summer and spring. Makes me feel super clean and fresh. Very appropriate for offices/ casual everyday events.

sunshine0101

Why o why people hate this. This is so lovely. I wear it to work, travel, just around home. Such a pick me up scent!!

nicholette

Smells like Black Current, Rose, and Black lady's hair grease (jasmine). I would not wear this or buy it. I do not like floral perfumes.

Allegoria

I love, love this fragrance. It was a joy right from the first spray. Fresh, fruity, clean yet still an element of sophistication. A wear anywhere - anytime scent. A surprise to me, as I’ve always thought of myself as a classic floral type wearer. But times have changed and Versace Dylan Blue Pour Femme just makes me happy. And supposedly others too, as I get loads of compliments. I freshen up mid day, and good to until evening.
So happy to have found this.

jbsherry

I do not get the hate surrounding this scent, it’s inoffensive and pleasing. A scent doesn’t have to be incredibly complex/groundbreaking to be of quality imo.

Now for the fragrance, the top note of Granny Smith Apple is lovely. I mildly detect the blackcurrent and clover, but apple is the star. I do not consider this to be a green fragrance.
I do get the comparisons to shampoo, but I personally don’t find this (perhaps because my shampoos smell completely different).
I love the dry down, the musk and patchouli are very elegantly done and not “dirty” or animalic.

All in all, this is a bright, refreshing scent that is perfect for warmer seasons and climates. The notes blend seamlessly together to deliver to deliver a quality fragrance.

ShaLion

I only get the “fruity shampoo” part in the opening & it’s really pretty. I got excited about the peach note because it’s a nice one for a minute but that is quickly fleeting. For the remainder of the wear I get a very creamy sweet clean upscale lotion with a hint of spice. Or like a face cream? It’s beautiful. Warm, light and very clean. It’d be a great “after shower” scent or to freshen up. A very fresh light & creamy lotion with a hint of sweet florals & a dash sweet-tart apple in the under layer. It’s very soft spoken in the dry down.
If I was looking for an upscale cold cream/lotion scent this would be a strong contender.
An update 1 month later:
I love it. Apparently it’s the upscale lotion scent I needed! It’s soothing, soft, warm, and creamy. Perfect for when I want something elegantly clean. This is one of those scents that’s just supposed to exist. It’s familiar and absolutely lovely.

Melaniesherriff

Beautiful fresh clean apple with light floral notes. Its perfect, yes it smells like shampoo but that's what makes it so lovely. It a scent that makes you smell shower fresh. Longevity is decent, sillage I'm not sure of as it is a light pretty scent

KerriZ

I really like this scent from the moment I put it on through its dry down. The sillage is extremely pleasing. On my skin i get an earthy rose. It is no super unique - very reminiscent to other rose fragrances I own...but it is a solid go to.

PinkRainbow

I received my sample of this today, and I really like this fragrance! It has similar vibes to Light Blue, but has a much more intense soapy and clean aura. Fresh green apple is the strongest note, and it holds the other elements together. Gentle warm weather scent. And the longevity is there-- a true presence, but not overwhelming. A perfect beachy summer scent.

Jloveparfum

This fragrance is very pleasant to wear, it definitely has a very functional smell. It reminds me of some products like shower gels and shampoo. But still very comforting to use. It opens fruity and floral, the note of green apple together with black currant is very prominent, always sweetened in floral bouquets. The drydown is creamy and musky. The substantivity in my skin reaches 10/12 hours with moderate diffusion. I love wearing this perfume on warm days!

Scooty77

Nice shampoo. Reminds me of my sweet Granny, but I don’t mean it smells old-fashioned. Maybe it was the Clairol Purple Shampoo she used to use? I do think I like it better than Turquoise.

Eveningrose

It opens up like an orange flavored cough syrup. Once that fades, it’s a fresh scent that is tolerable. I like layering it with other things for some effect. It has moderate performance. I wouldn’t repurchase!

jas000n

This is such an easy reach when I don't know what to wear.
It smells so squeaky clean and lasts a lot longer than you would expect from a freshie.

It's not my favorite smell ever, but I have to put it in my favorites because of how often I wear it, the versatility, and the packaging is also very pretty and luxe for the price!

Vellocet

I can understand the bad reviews because the opening is very sharp and synthetic. But after half an hour or so this beautiful and delicate green apple comes through. It’s so crisp and fresh! Very feminine and beautiful

scatteredshowers

There's very little I can say that hasn't been said already, except to emphasize that this is truly a warm weather scent. It's juicy, fresh, sweet- like warm sunshine on your neck. The sillage is a bit weak for my taste so this is a fun one to layer with other body sprays, I like adding orange/orange blossom and fresh green notes in particular.

lydlid

This legit smells like a shampoo I've had. I can't put my finger on what shampoo, likely herbal essence or Garnier. Nonetheless, that is not a bad thing. It's clean and shampooey, but not sharp or irritating. Not overly soapy I guess. Just pretty juicy and clean. I wouldn't pay full price, I'd say if you can get it discounted, go for it. Really pretty.

forthesapphics

got this as a free mini sample from Sephora, the very first spray was nice but then it sat on my wrist a little longer and smelled exactly like your standard cheap men's cologne. After a few hours tho it has a very attractive slightly sweet scent, even if I do have to let my nose touch my arm to tell. While I do love the final result I just can't get over selling like a middle school boy to get to it.

Mirille

I really like this on paper. I always wanted to get that freshly-washed hair smell to last all day long. I thought it was just what I was looking for.

I am glad that I got this as a sample though. It seems that on my skin it goes sharp, sour, and unpleasant. I narrowly avoided buying a bottle.

Yessamin

This is an ultra-elegant perfume that is a tribute to feminity, elegant and sensual at the same time.

EdP

MsFCAS

You know when (in the olden days when we went to malls) you walk by a Bath and Body Works in the mall and you're assailed by a pungent mix of sweet, sticky, floral, fruity, bathroom spray smells all at once? They took that experience, stuck it in a bottle, and slapped Versace on the label to command a premium price. But seriously, go pay $15 at BBW for the same experience, maybe throw a little Glade air freshener in there, and you've got a Versace Blue clone for a fraction of the price.

taurusenergy

y2k hot girl shampoo.

Someone below me said this smells exactly like Paris Hilton's original fragrance and I haven't smelled that but on a conceptual level it completely checks out.

ArianaS

A copy with minimum changes for J’adore by Dior but with less persistence and diluted essence.

Yay-Yay

The scent opens up with some complexity but after about a minute it becomes a carbon copy of the original Paris Hilton fragrance. Because of that, I feel it’s way too overpriced as this will cost about 4-5x more. I feel like it’s a very juvenile smell (reminds me of the perfumes I and most of the girls wore in middle school - sophomore year)

bajablast

the scent is nothing special in my opinion. yeah it does smell like shampoo, i think i dislike the black currant. not a bad fragrance by any means but still a miss for me. glad i had a sample because i would be tempted by the beautiful bottle!

Xowah

smells like shampoo. to be more detailed it smells like one of those clean, maybe cucumber shampoos or some kind of natural shampoo scent from when someone comes out of the shower.

dearfawn

Smells like a more perfumey, upscale Garnier Fructis (to be fair, I DO like how that line smells). It smells clean, fresh, fruity floral without being too powdery, soapy, or aquatic. An easy reach fragrance. This is perfect for warmer days or anytime I just want to smell pretty and ‘fresh-out-of-the-shower clean.’ People will smell this on you and probably compliment your shampoo. Maybe overpriced for what it is but I just HAD to have the magnificent bottle. I intend to refill it with some other perfume once I’ve used up Dylan Blue.

serenabeana

I like this one! I prefer it to Dylan Turquoise and I think Dylan Blue is a perfect grab for summer and spring- clean, fruity, floral, fresh, with a hint of sexiness in the dry down.
On first spray, something in this reminds me of Elizabeth Arden Sunflower, which I don't like at all. It quickly goes away though and you are left with a clean and fresh scent that lasts FOREVER. Seriously, one to two sprays is more than enough. It's not a signature or every day fragrance IMO, but it's nice for those days where you feel bubbly and happy.

Firthm02

Dylan Blue
A strong powerful message to women to prove that independence and unity can be shown in the form of a fragrance.
The first fragrance that I fell in love with from the moment I smelt the top notes. A story behind the bottle that pulls at the heart strings for a proud sister remembrance and simplicity of the forget-me-not flower that symbolises true love and respect.
I have now developed a true love and respect for this fragrance.

LindaL100

I really like this perfume, it's a beautiful fragrance the fruity and floral scents are lovely and strong, but I'm a bit disappointed with the longevity of this, it lasted for several hours on my skin which is quite moderate, but considering just how expensive this perfume is, the longevity is a little weaker than I would like it to be. I still prefer the men's Dylan Blue because the men's version is stronger and longer-lasting on my skin compared to this one. And I also prefer the Dylan Blue Turquoise for women.

Tammie 124

I love this scent! People are very harsh about it but it has it's place for sure. It does work like a very fresh just out the shower fruity shampoo. It is the perfect clean scent for the workplace. It is also frequently on offer and so although it seems expensive in reality I've never had to pay full price and the discounted prices always seem reasonable. Very few people could actually dislike the scent and it just makes you smell freshly showered so can really be used in most situations. It lasts reasonably well for about 5-6 hours as a scent that someone can enjoy smelling standing next to you but that won't fill the whole office up and offend people. It is better than Eros pour femme as it's fresh but without the toilet cleaner citrus note.

silverma

Nose to bottle- I smell rubbing alcohol. At first spray, I get some green notes and a pinch of the black current. The mid to dry down smells like a mix of Love by Sofia Vergara & La Vie Est Belle, with hints of the black current and woodsy notes throughout.

vrinsun

It has become my summer’s favorite!
This perfume is mouth-watering! It’s fresh, fruity sweet in the right amount! (Not nausiating at all), and the performance is a beast!
It lasts on me for a good 6-8 hours, and need 2-3 sprays and you’re good to go (don’t overspray, it can become heady).

The apple is very present especially at the opening, it gives shampoo vibes but in a good way!

I recommend it for anyone looking for a fruity summer perfume! ❤️

Controlledbyscent31

This reminded me instantly of the chanel chance collection of perfumes eau tendre in particular.
Soapy, fresh, clean fruity floral.
Nice, but not for me personally.
Great scent for any age, any occasion in spring summer daytime.

Hannehoney

New favorite! This is a fresh fruity floral that is so easy to wear. Any occasion, any age, any season. I love it :) Starts very fresh, like when you get out of the shower, and it dries down so so soft on me. SO much better than the turquoise one. It might not be super special, but to me the most important thing is that it smells good and it doesnt give me a headache :) people gave me compliments ;) could be a signature scent for sure. It lasts on me about 6 hours. I will absolutely buy it again.

tprofumohn

sophiekoss

as many others have said - it smells like a very upscale shower gel. pleasant for sure, but just not interesting in any way; probably the most "generic"-smelling fragrance i've sampled. i would notcall it fruity - it comes off floral and musky with a hint of citrus, very clean. it's not BAD, it just doesn't have any personality to me

marco_m

A good portion of Versace’s offerings have always been repulsive to me (looking at you, Dylan Turquoise). Over the years I’ve attached a personal stigma to the brand: it appeals to the kind of hormone-distorted glamor which propagated in my high school daydreams like well-fed bacteria in a Petri dish. I mean, you gotta give it to whoever oversees the fragrance arm of the brand, they’re damn consistent. Gaudy, athletic and perpetually dtf. Donatella’s aesthetic singularity is admirable. Iconic!

Despite my hang ups, some days nothing else HITS like a Versace perfume. I actually like Dylan Blue a lot. I have a ton of samples so I’ve been begrudgingly blowing through them for the past month. And on a day like today—sunny, cold winds, early spring—I can buy into the fantasy a little bit. Have a good time. I’m clean shaven, freshly showered, flaunting a healthy post-gym pump, and on my way to get a matcha latte. There’s hours of grocery shopping ahead of me, but it’s all busy work. I have nothing in particular to do beyond being hot in public spaces. This is the brilliance of Versace!!!

I like this Dylan Blue as a Cologne way more than something like Sauvage (which I’ve always been begrudgingly dousing myself in after getting a free bottle). It’s lighter, doesn’t make your nose curl up in shock after a stray whiff. You don’t really smell anything in particular with a Versace fragrance; you smell like a Versace fragrance, y’know? That’s all you can really say about the whole affair. Tangy, clean… A little sweaty, a little floral. It is what it is. And on days like today, it is more than enough!

MareaCamacho

This smells exactly like Dr. Freemans Peel Off Cucumber face mask. Its a cheapie but a good one. Its about $4 . Do yourself a favor and try and compare the 2 fragrances together. You will not be able to get the correlation out of your mind. I promise you.

I had to return it for it was way too similar to that scent. Although it's nice, I just didn't have to have it.

I bought a tester of versace Yellow Daimond intense and that one smells similar to Dylan Blue for Women But V YD intesnse has more of a crispy lemon scent, that's sharper yet blended with the floral and woodsy note which makes it much less $4 cucumber face mask scented.

puri27

It has an elegant feminine scent. Wearing this will bring you a wonderful encounter.

FatuiFanatic

I wear this as a guy. The woodsy notes on the dry down are quite unisex. I enjoy the florals for myself. Quite nice on a spring day.

terigurl

Even though this scent isn't absolutely mind-blowing, it is still a very very beautiful, fresh, clean, fruity, woody scent. I just love it! It's an easy reach on spring, summer and rainy days. I would even wear it in the fall and winter. For a freshie, this is a very long lasting perfume with stellar sillage. I catch whiffs of this fragrance all day long and it makes me feel so happy. I have many perfumes so I had forgotten about this one but I'm glad I was able to bring this baby out.

puri27

Very girly scent. The bottle is also elegant and beautiful, and you will be satisfied just by watching it. Lol

albarine

haleykbhenry

Elegance with a touch of sexiness in a bottle. Endless compliment getter. If you want versality and performance then Dylan Blue is a great grab. This is reliable as the performance and silage are stellar. Yes there are many fresh smelling fragrances out there but none that perform well quite like this (all people who love the clean scents know that good performance is far and few). The bottle design is beautiful and it sits lovely on any vanity in any setting. I travel with this during vacation trips and also wear it to the office and always receive compliments. This is for the woman who means business because it's straight to the point (initial spray and drydown are consistent during all stages of wear and doesn't shape shift into a different drydown scent) the performance doesn't play. Highly recommend. Enjoy smelling important.

unvillage

Dylan Blue is a likeable scent, but it isn't remarkable in any way. I bought a full bottle of this since I felt like it was an easy-grab scent, but I quickly got tired of it and even ended up selling it because it was just sitting in my drawer collecting dust. It reminds me of a woman written by a man, just boring with no personality.

TriFrtaljČetri

It smells way too similar to Elizabeth Arden green tea honey suckle -a fragrance below 10 $, if you're already not a huge fan save yourself some money.

Not saying it's bad, but for the price and compared to E.Arden this is nothing worth mentioning.

I like Dylan Turquoise tho, even though l also find it quite simple but very very good blended fragrance, but this one..not worth it

washudtoj

I don't know why this perfume gets trashed on a lot.

I mean, it's not the best perfume ever, but it's not that horrible, either. Why fragsnobs keep pooping on this one is beyond me.

It smells a little sweet, with a degree of generic (but mass-appealing) floral fruity notes. The packaging is indeed more impressive than the perfume itself, but still, even not withstanding the packaging, the scent isn't bad at all.

It's not a strong scent on my skin. But again, my skin rarely projects any fragrance anyway, so others may find it stronger on theirs.

I do get a bit of that shampoo vibe, but on me, it's berry shampoo, not apple. Arguably, it smells a bit like a little girl's perfume, but I still find it nice-smelling.

Overall, I find it pleasant enough. Not something I'd get a full bottle of, though, since there are some funny smells on my skin on the dry down, but I wouldn't mind smelling it on others.

PS. Another reviewer mentioned this smelt like a mature version of Moschino Toy 2. I don't get that; for me, the one closest to Toy 2 is Eros pour Femme
EdT. Also, I don't think this smells like DKNY Be Delicious at all.

Halona

First time tried, I did not find anything special.
But recently, when I accidently paid more attention to the notes, I realized the notes changed by time, it made the perfume more interesting and complicated than I initially thought it was.
I find the woody smell very nice, especially at night time on bed.
This perfume is perfect for days when I feel I want something light, relax and pleasant.

For the longevity, it is incredible!
I sprayed 2 sprays, each side one. It lasted 16 hours on my skin! I think it may last up to 20 hours or more until the smell is gone. I say 16 hours just because right after 16 hours wearing, I go shower haha.
The lasting power is amazing! I enjoy the smell the whole night, not many perfume can last this long.

So for this perfume, a little goes a long way, which makes it a good value buy.

cloudy sky

I agree with the review(s) below which say it smells like Garnier Fructis!!! This is so funny to me. How did no one tell Versace about this before it hits the shelves? It's uncanny.

So the tester in store gave me a lot of the luscious guava notes so I liked it a lot! Enough that I purchased it. I thought it would be a good spring, summer perfume. I work in a pretty conservative office so anything super out there will get me the side eye. When I opened my box at home it gave me less of the guava and more Garnier Fructis Lol! That being said, I didn't return it as I thought the soapy clean vibe should be good for work.

Edit: as it dries it loses some of its fruitiness and you're left with soapy-floral vibes, think Downey.

R1leyandSoph1e

By far one of my favourite perfumes! It's not overly feminine which I love. I received a trial size from making a purchase on Sephora and I've been addicted ever since. I see many negative reviews but I have to disagree. This scent is super clean smelling, great for the work environment!

vanillababy111

I love it, nice floral yet clean scent. However I haven't worn this ever since I realised that it smells like Always pads to me🥲

hola gigi

Synthetic opening of apple & a mess of florals followed by an overpowering soapy accord.

fformoso88

This is fine… but it’s just that… fine. It just smell to me like garnier fructis shampoo. Lol. It’s clean, it’s safe, it’s inoffensive. Great for a work scent, or when you don’t want to be noticed. It’s just nothing special to me. Best in spring and summer. Longevity and silage isn’t there for me either. I don’t hate it but I also barely ever reach for it personally.

Egaines23

This fragrance smells inoffensive to me. It smells clean and slightly sweet. This smells like you’re wearing a crisp white shirt and Levi jeans, if that makes sense. Just a really clean scent.

ParfumJunkie

I got this as a trade - I wanted to try adding a Versace to my collection. I LOVE green apple so this is the scent I go to when I need a pick me up. It lasts ALL day and people comment that they can smell it. I don't get a lot of compliments when I wear it but it's in my regular rotation because of how much I love green apple. It's not a complicated scent and easily would be what I would expect for drug store quality, but - GREEN APPLE! My husband doesn't like it on me so I usually wear it to the office where he doesn't have to be subjected to it. It's a happy scent that I pull out for spring and summer.

scentient

I want to like this as I enjoy the black currant note, but the apple and peach notes are overpowering to me. Seems like a drugstore fragrance. It's not offensive, but I wouldn't purchase a full bottle.

paranoka

All the hate for this is making me feel a little self conscious lol. I adore this frag - to me it's floral and juicy fresh and a little sensual. I like it for a casual date, maybe a little too strong for coming into the office but maybe just keep it to 1-2 sprays.

inesvil7

Versace's perfume bottles are all so beautiful, just the thing that looks great on dressing tables... But I find the perfumes so unreliable in terms of what we perceive and what projects. With this one, particularly, I got an excessive amount of compliments wearing it, but I found it cloying myself. The jasmine just stayed there all day and there was no getting away from it. I knew I smelled nice to others, but I myself felt like a walking bouquet of white flowers covered in sugar.

leaafc

Something about this specific scent is really appealing to men who don't have much of an interest in fragrance, in my experience. My husband, who tends to like pretty much everything I've ever worn, has taken note of how much he likes this on me pretty much every time I've ever worn it. I've gotten strong positive reactions from his friends, from strangers, from family members- almost all male.

It does smell fresh and clean, in a ''my skin but better'' way if you use scented products. The apple is especially forward on me, as is the jasmine. I don't find it particularly interesting and this is a fragrance I would need to reapply my one spray at the midpoint of my day because it doesn't last too long, but I can't possibly imagine a light application of this being objectionable in any way. In that sense, it's an extremely safe daytime/work choice, but it's not one that would make me excited to be noticed wearing.

ETA a year later- fate made a fool out of me, as this was the only scent I could deal with in the tail end of my pregnancy when every smell made me nauseous and I wore it daily for like 2-3 months. It'll always remind me of 2022 and I'll always love it for reminding me of my last pregnancy.

lesritesdelavie

I love the blackcurrant note (like in Tffany&Co Sheer) but here it is overpowered by the cheap apple and peach. The base of patchouli and musk does not appear on my skin at all.
All in all pleasant but very cheap smelling scent.
