First i just loved it, then started to hate. On my skin it has got pretty bad, headache-causing vanilla scent which comes out after while and then covers all the freshness you can feel at the start. At the end it just changed to something very cheap and overly sweet, but not good way - that sweetness takes over like a rotten fruit. But it is very similar with other Flowerbombs, so if you like them you will like this one as well.

I Love La Vie En Rose 2012. Every year Flowerbomb comes out with a different edition of La Vie En Rose. I am still trying to buy more of 2012 version. I have stumbled upon a 2013 version available at Nordstrom on 3/22/13. But I can't find anything about this perfume anywhere else. Here's the info from Nordstrom's website:

"Notes:
- Top: bergamot, mandarin, pink pepper.
- Middle: lily of the valley, rose, sugared almond, raspberry, red forest fruits.
- Base: patchouli, cashmere woods, amber"

I can't wait to try this one and has anyone else tried it yet?

This Flowerbomb packed her bags and went on summer vacation in Paris. She left behind her sugar sweet marzipan and vanilla outfits and opted for bright and summer ones fashioned in rose and citrus notes. LA VIE EN ROSE is much lighter and brighter than the original one. The composition perhaps is not that unique (I find that the original one has more character) but nevertheless it is lovely, romantic and easy to wear scent in hot summer months.

I can see the difference between this one and the original one right away in the opening. LA VIE EN ROSE is bright and sparkly in the beginning with citrus notes of mandarin and bergamot. I do not smell much sugar in this scent but it still has sweet floral charm coming from the rose. The name implies that the rose will play the lead here but to me, the lily of the valley and freesia are quite noticeable in the heart notes and provided this crisp spring-like quality to the scent, which mingles nicely with the rose notes. The tea lingers in the background and provides a refreshing effect to this scent. The patchouli is subdued and though I do smell it mixing with a rose, it is not playing the same role as in the original one. The dry down is lovely and cozy with subtle notes of rose, amber and a hint of patchouli.

I find this scent does not have the same sillage and longevity as the original one. The original one lasted for days on my skin and clothes. This one fades away in 5-6 hours but still I find that the sillage is fine for the summer and I do not mind re-applying. Overall score is 7.5/10. LA VIE EN ROSE is a lovely summer scent that I would not hesitate to wear for a romantic summer trip. Definitely recommend.

This is the perfume I've had the most compliments on ever! It really is a gem. Unique, very pleasant smelling in all its transition.
I only stopped wearing it because I didn't like the spicy notes, which are quite distinctive as it dries down. But if you're looking for a feminine, show-stopping scent that will have the guys drooling, then you've found it!

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb La Vie En Rose (2009 edition) is the perfect spicy sweet summer scent! Top notes of grapefruit and pink pepper. Sweet tangerine, bergamot, and green tea. A floral heart of freesia, centifolia rose, and lily of the valley with deep notes of amber and patchouli. La Vie En Rose really is an amazing fragrance!

If you were to compare both the original Flowerbomb and this flanker side by side on your skin, you'll most likely find that they are very similar, but not identical. I actually prefer Flowerbomb La Vie en Rose for various reasons.

The trouble I had with the original Flowerbomb, was that it was too sugary and linear on my skin. I'm not certain as to what encouraged me to track down a sample of Flowerbomb La Vie en Rose, but I'm rather glad I did now that I look back on it.

The sugary aspect is still present in this flanker, however it's much smoother and less in your face. I find the tea and patchouli accords to be much stronger, with of course a bigger focus on rose. The rose note in Flowerbomb La Vie en Rose, is quite green and dewy rather than sweet or oily. I liken it to the scent of moist, pink rose petals.

I can't see how this fragrance isn't more popular than it is. I'm also devastated by the fact that it was a limited edition, as I have enjoyed wearing it so much. Actually my boyfriend is a huge fan of it as well.

I have worn my sample consecutively over the course of four days, and I must say that I'm rather enchanted by it. It's not too loud, nor too synthetic. I find it the perfect balance of fresh sweetness, earthiness and green nuances.

Interestingly enough, Flowerbomb La Vie en Rose lasted a lot longer on my skin than the original EDP of Flowerbomb did. This discovery left me a little shocked considering how strong Flowerbomb tends to be. I think that most of the original Flowerbomb's fans will enjoy this fragrance, however I also urge those that may have disliked its predecessor to give this flanker a fair chance.

Got this via ebay when I ordered "Flowerbomb"... apparently the sellers don't know one FB from another. I NORMALLY would not have bought this cuz rose scents give me a headache.

"Okay" mistake, but it irks me that people can't list their stuff accurately. Would have been mad if I didn't like this and had to mail it back.

SO, anyways.....there isn't a touch of rose that I can detect thank goodness, and I do sorta like this version, except that on occasion, I get a real soapy note which I detest. If I wanted to smell like soap, I'd I'd shower with Dial. ugh. Luckily, it only happens to me on occasion. Not sure why I don't always smell the soapy.

It is a fruitier version of the original FB. The "red fruits" and raspberries do stand out.

Lasting power is "medium"... 4-5 hours.

Soap and Powder predominant. If that's your thing... go for it.

I haven't been using my sample for quite a long time and when I finally used it, I noticed similarity - La Vie en Rose is similar to Jimmy Choo, but more delicate and subtle.

La Vie en Rose is a strong patchouli and rose from the very beginning but after 15 minutes maybe the patchouli diminishes and I'm glad it does as I don't wear Flowerbomb edp or edt often because of patchouli I dislike. Anyway, this is a likeable fragrance. I suppose patchouli with orchid and toffee in Jimmy Choo give similar effect to rose and amber here. They are both sweet and a bit dangerous. Lasting power of La Vie... is so-so, it's better in Jimmy Choo. All in all, if I had to choose, surprisingly I'd choose La Vie than the classical edp or edt because of this better subtlety. Jimmy Choo has a great sillage and lasting power though so whatever you prefer :)

Tea, rose, patchouli, amber, pepper, lily-of-the valley- the most prominent notes on me.

A road covered in roses... good name, roses have thorns - a patchouli touch.

CHOCAHOLIC

That's a great perfume. Floral and spicy, fresh and cute, it is recommended for summer or spring. I was wearing it during the summer of 2009 and I found it amazing. It lasts for hours and it is not a common scent, it automatically makes you feel self-confident and optimistic, it makes you want to explore the adventurous parts of life. Now I'm in the mood for Flowerbomb EDP which is ideal for winter(and christmas!). A different perfume that will make you feel special.

I LOVE THIS PERFUME! it smells softer than original, smells sweet & romantic! i <3 the size that it comes in, it's great for travelling and when going out.

it smells like flowerbomb's little sister and is appealing for the younger crowd, under 30's.

I can detect the rose in it, also it has great sillage.

Amazing, sensual, romantic, sexy sums it up.

I got mine from ebay. I am in love with this perfume, sweet fresh begin with a bit powdery end. Great scent and very long lasting. You can buy it in the Netherlands from Douglas.

I finally got me a bottle of La Vie En Rose!!! I LOVE it!! Its definitely fresher and sweeter than the original. The pink berries and tangerine really make the top sparkle. Once it settles in it pretty much smells just like the original. Its delicious and perfect for the summer!! Its lasting power is great for an EDT!! I LOVE it and I need to stock up on a couple of more bottles seeing has how its a limited edition!! Bravo once again V&R!! : )

ILOVEEEPERFUME

it smells like the original but with a twist of tangy rasberry lemonade it smells OK i like the orig better =)

I love very much Flowerbomb! I want to know when this summer eau the toilette will be available in Italy! Anybody can tell me anything about this?

LenaBel

This a very watered down version of the original edp or edt. It just not as deep, yet the price is so high! I enjoyed it but I would rather suggest you to buy a edp or at least an edt for autumn/winter. La Vie en Rose maybe is adjusted to be appropriate for summer (and it wouldn't be suffocating as this version is really light) yet I still would prefer to wear something else in warmer months. Wait for winter and save up for the original version which is indeed something extraordinary.
Of course if you already have the original this could be your summer version if you want to stick to a similar scent :)

P.S. I live in the UK and I tried it in Boots today. It probably came out within the last couple of weeks. It is not harshly marketed - I accidentaly found it at the bottom of the shelf!

As the could of perfume that had emerged from the bottle landed on my skin. I instantly picked up the smell of freshly picked strawberry. Which is odd beacuse strawberry is not listed as a note. But then it changed character slightly and became more floral. I don't know if it's beacuse of the name of this perfume. But it reminds me of Edith Piaf for some reason.

Trvevil

It's definitely is a lighter version. I think Flowerbomb has many many versions and what the point was this. In fact if you compare with edt then La Vie En Rose is softer and milder, like light cream- no harsh citrus notes in this one. At first it smelled a lot like the original edt, but then dried to light, almost undetectable rose composition. Lasting power is quite poor, but I sprayed to my wrist only one time. Very nice one, but still for me I prefer edp or Extreme.
The bottle is very cute- similar to edp, but it is made from pink glass which looks adorable and very good in person. Also it has smoothed edges.

vertigo

To me it smells far more delicate than the original. Even more delicate than the EDT. If you liked the other two, you will probably like this one :)

I was sure I smelled discreet, transparent rose in the beginning. After a few hours it's more similar to the original - sweet and sexy. Great staying power.

Could it be just bergamot and mandarin?
