This is Her by Zadig & Voltaire is a Amber Vanilla fragrance for women. This is Her was launched in 2016. This is Her was created by Sidonie Lancesseur and Michel Almairac. Top notes are Pink Pepper, Silkwood Blossom and Jasmine Sambac; middle notes are Whipped Cream, Vanilla and Chestnut; base notes are Sandalwood and Cashmere Wood.

The French fashion house Zadig & Voltaire, which fosters casual, boho and rock styles with a significant dash of cool elegance, presents its new fragrant pair in September 2016 announced with the slogan "This is Zadig!". The perfume pair consists of a feminine and a masculine edition: This is Her! and This is Him!. The perfumes are created in cooperation with the company Beaute Prestige International (BPI).

Cecilia Bönström, artistic director of Zadig & Voltaire, said to wwd that the idea was to break from what already existed on the market and “to find a balance of something really clean and something darker, more mysterious.”

The woody, floral and gourmand This is Her, signed by perfumer duo Sidonie Lancesseur and Michel Almairac, contains notes of pink pepper, Sambac jasmine, milky chestnut cream, vanilla and sandalwood. It is available as a 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

The bottles have a simple design with cracked edges, white for her for and black for him. The precious materials, with sandalwood as a signature, and the cool design try to offer something new in accordance with the edgy image of the brand.

This is her and she is a pizza baker. I’m not sure what it is but this smells subtlety like basil marinara and it doesn’t go away. Not for me, but may be for you.

katerinafraag0

I really, really love this fragrance. Its the perfect everyday all-seasons perfume. The dry down is a perfect blend of vanilla, chestnut and whipped cream with an incredible longevity. I don't know about the projection and silage though because I've recently purchased it and haven't gotten any comments yet. All I'm gonna say is that it's not a headache inducing perfume at all as many claim it to be, at least in the way I perceive it. To sum it up, I really enjoy wearing this fragrance its warm, comforting and of course it is my next signature scent from now on:)

monipod

This is a super curious one. I will let it macerate and try again but it's giving me green and citrus in the opening. There are hints of Yohji and once I smelt it, I couldn't stop smelling it, which means the correct notes were maybe getting ignored? As it settled I smelt the freshness less and more sweetness. It leaned towards my chestnut favourite Soie Malaquais by Dries Van Noten. I'm sure This Is Her would be an entirely different experience for those who haven't smelt Yohji or Soie Malaquais. It didn't quite become an independent fragrance for the whole day I wore it. I like it though and I'm looking forward to trying it again. At the price you can get it though, I think it's a safe blind buy. Not at all offensive.

Nataliemespino

Woww this is so interesting. It’s so warm and comforting. I don’t find it very gourmand, but it has a touch of sweetness from the vanilla, nuttiness from the hazelnut, and a slight spicy quality from the pink pepper. It’s very cozy and unique. It creates a very fluffy and pleasant scent bubble; it’s almost like a skin scent. It just simply smells like a beautiful woman. I really enjoy this.

Velvetta

I recommend trying on skin first or sampling. I used to have a problem with this one because it used to go a bit sour on my skin, but i revisited after like a year and it's fine now. Got my bottle back from my mom 🤭
Now it's finally sweet, creamy and nutty gourmond. It's a bit weird to my nose sometimes, but i'm a way i actually really love it. I think chestnut note is more prominent on me, but it's still definitely very milky. I can smell it for good hours on myself, hard to judge the projection because so far i didn't get any comments on it.
Bottle really fits the scent on my opinion, its elegant, simple (but not boring!) and cosy. It feels like a soft wollen beige scarf on cold days. I think it's a perfect autumn scent, but really enjoy it now in ruthless german spring season. It's constantly changing between hot and straight up winter weather and i think this scent is very comforting.
I can see how it could give people headache tho, so like i said: definitely skin test, maybe sample first and i think it doesnt need overspraying (unless you really like to do it and you wont torture others around you🤫)

LadyZimporium

I think this might be my new favorite perfume. If you love ‘Fields at Nightfall’ by Zara. This is it, but way longer lasting and projection. It’s cosy/cozy, sensual, and beautiful. I sprayed the top of my hand, let it dry; then I did the dishes (by hand!) and STILL it’s on my hand just as strong. A little will go a long way, no need for over spray.

nellnall

This is my first blind buy ever, so I was really sceptical at first. At first it smelled quite green & citrusy but soon dried to a softer scent. The chestnut really opens after a while with some creaminess on the side. After a couple of hours the jasmine started to come out and it turns into this comforting, a bit powdery and sandalwood-y flower scent. One thing that I really like about this fragrance is the fact that it’s not sweet, but it still has vanilla; it’s like a sophisticated clean vanilla.
I tend to avoid fragrance with pink pepper, but in this perfume it goes really well with the flowers and it’s not this peppery punch in your face.
This scent also reminds me of something, I guess that it’s the jasmine?

It’s definetly unisex, so don’t be afraid to try it! This is definetly a ”second skin” type of scent and it doesn’t stand out too much, which also gives it this sensuality. Overall I really recommend it if you are looking for an inoffensive, comforting but clean type of scent.

IssaMood

This is a good girl with an edge. I feel very seen by This Is Her, very seen indeed.

zephyr1973

Smells like sweet vanilla cream. But there is something behind it, and I can’t decide how I feel about it. It might be the cashmeran, it sort of sticks in the back of my throat. I don’t hate it, but I don’t think I could tolerate it much. Makes me feel the same way I feel when I smell something too powdery. Almost like my nose is struggling through a thick fog. If I wear it again, I’ll dab it instead of spray. This time I used only one spritz.
Ok, so, I kept this review open for a while to see what the weird uncomfortable smell would do…and at least for now, it appears to have dissipated. Now I’m left with warm, creamy vanilla, and I actually like it. I typically avoid cashmeran or ambroxan scents, but maybe this isn’t terrible. I just have to be mindful of whether it triggers a migraine!
I think I’ll keep sampling this and if I alter my opinion, I will add to this review. 😊

🤍🌰 This is a creamy/fluffy/milky gourmand fragrance and I absolutely adore it ! 🌰🤍

It smells just like Chestnut spread, thanks to the Whipped Cream/Chestnut and Vanilla <3

With more depth and slightly woody coming from both Cashmere Wood and Sandalwood, they also seem to add more creaminess to the blend.
And then a bit more intensity with the Pink Pepper, EVEN more creaminess with the Jasmine Sambac, and a really subtle and floral note from the Silkwood Blossom !

Perfect scent for autumn/winter but can be worn as a signature scent all year round. It’s warm and creamy, it’s comforting and so addictive. Really original and seductive!

The longevity and sillage are STRONG+, not enormous, but nearly. It lasts for more than 7h on my skin and clothings !

100/100, 10/10 wasn’t enough for me to express my love for this masterpiece of a fragrance, thank you very much Sidonie Lancesseur and Michel Almairac 🤍🤍🤍

This is Her? No, This is Him!
I love cozy, warm fragrances so when I looked at the notes I already knew Im gonna love it. This is everything but the thing I wanted. This scent is very masculine. I would never say thats its feminine. It starts with something citrusy for a long while and then the heavy masculine scent layers on clothes and skin after. Some people say that its the sandalwood, but im not sure. I like sandalwood and it can be a pretty ingredient, but here its nothig but this woody, smoky, strong scent. Longevity is also very confusing to me. I sprayed it few times and after 15 min there was nothing. I went for it again, sprayed many times and surprise.. It stayed. I went to bed knowing that I smell strongly of a man and woke up with this horrible scent on my skin.
To summarise my thoughts i will say:
-stays longer on clothes than on the skin but u need to give it few sprays
-on the skin it smells more "warm" than on clothes (but the scent is not warm at all)
-very citrusy in the start
-not warm and not sweet AT ALL
-woody, strong, masculine
-nonexistent vanilla
-cold fragrance that should be named "musc" since the musky smell is the main one, together with woods
-not safe blind buy
-better for mature women and all men tbh
-disappointment in the bottle
Good luck

I love love LOVE THIS.
I love sweet fragrances - this to me is clean, fresh, sweet. There is something unique in this.
Worn this on my weding day so its special.
Spring/ autumn scent

AgenticaBond007

This smells like By the fireplace without a fireplace on me. Love it!

gabollll☆

best blind buy i love it

Samboy1

This was a blind buy, forced by the endless TikTok videos I had seen. Let me tell you, this is ASMR in a bottle!! It causes tingles and a light headedness which is sublime. How anyone can dislike this is beyond me.. it’s clean, comforting, lactonic, nostalgic and most of all HEAVENLY

Ana Letic

Youthfully girly sweet scent. I really enjoy this one, perfect for every day even when you go out in the evening.

ang3l3s

I loved it at first but now I feel like it's overwhelmingly sweet in an in your face way. Smells nice from far away but I can't wear it anymore.

Faverinsky

I have just received the last This is Her 100ml available in New Zealand (for some reason the brand completely disappeared from here), and I love it! It's vanilla, milky/creaminess with a beautiful woody sandalwood and chestnut background. To my nose this is a vanilla lactonic smell which is quite soft and inoffensive, everyone at worked loved it! The only drawbacks is that it's quite soft, so you kind of have to bathe in it if you want to smell it at all, it
is a bit of a skinscent (clean, your skin but better), and it doesn't last that long (I get about 4 on skin and 6 on hair). The other drawback is that, if you live in NZ, once it's gone it's gone...

kissabelle

Sandalwood heavy and lean quite masculine after dry down which seems surprising. Sandalwood can get quite heady for me personally. Didn't get chestnut notes but very deep heavy sandalwood + cream = clean male shaving cream vibes. Nearly blind buy but glad I didn't. Test before buying. If you are seeking Cloud kind of whipped cream lactonic vibes, this is NOT it.

olganbo

OMG I love this perfume, It's feminine, aery,, gourmand and clean scent. I feel in a soft cloud when I wear it and my man loves it too he said that it is a hug perfume and he just want me in his arms when I wear it.

kittycat1992

I really wanted to like this but unfortunately it did nothing for me. NOT a safe blind buy.

Basically I can barely smell it, this seems to be a problem for quite a few reviewers. Others say it has great sillage and that it is very strong, so I guess it depends.

It smells sweet but no chestnut notes or anything specific on my skin. And even that evaporates into nothing after a minute. After reading about some people describing it as „babyspit“ unfortunately I can only smell that now 😂

Test it on your skin before buying to not be disappointed!

DN63

There are no words to describe my resentment towards this perfume and its masculine version. The cloying, nauseating, headache-inducing vanilla and only god knows what notes are just overbearing. It has an enormous silage that makes it impossible for me to be in the same space as a person who wears it without feeling sick. Unfortunately, it's very popular where I live and all I can do is to pray for its discontinuation.

FavourO

This does nothinggggggg for me. It's such a boring and basic perfume, I can't pick out the nuttiness, sweetness or sandalwood. The scent is very weak and overall underwhelming.

Dušicajeste

"The perfume smelled like when laundry is left in the washing machine for too long and gets moldy mixed with the moldy."

My friend had this perfume salt for you that here clothes are smelling bad the truth was that did this was this perfume

KatherineTs

Update: I couldn't wait and ran to the perfume store to get my own personal bottle of it! Gods, this is heaven, it boosts my mood in a very weird way and makes me instantly happy. 10/10 recommend! <3

KatherineTs

I could never imagine it becoming my favorite fragrance. My colleague loves it a lot and she knows I am a perfume enthusiast, never actually liked the scent much. She told me don't you wanna get it? you will become addicted to it. I got a small sample while buying a perfume for mom and sprayed a bit. Too sweet. Not for me. BUT one day I sprayed it again and it instantly made me, happier? I was smiling and feeling good. It was making me feel cosy, yet classy, young, confident. I can't leave this scent now. I have many perfumes but this one I wanna stick to.

christinebyh

I went on such a roller coaster journey with this fragrance. I hated it and was disgusted by it at first. Then it started growing on me, and now I love it?! There are days when the sweetness is nauseating but I still reach for it. I prefer spraying it far away from my nose and face as it can feel cloying at times.

It’s a scent that people around me enjoy more than me. This is much smoother than Zara’s Fields at Nightfall, but they are 90% similar.

†♡

its milky and peppery, a little bit of sweetness, a little bit of vanilla, it makes me think of the white colour idk why !
a milk with pink peppers inside, it gets creamier with time, but i find that it doesnt last long, i oversprayed it today and i cant smell a lot of it anymore...
ill have to retry it, i liked it but idkkk i was hoping more, its a simple scent

AuraSky

I bought this perfume based on the composition of the notes and the wonderful reviews. I never buy perfumes blindly, but this time I didn't hold back. The notes are perfect. What could be wrong? I expected so much, but I had to be disappointed. All I smell on me is a faint smell of men's shaving foam.

hblakes70

4/6/24 update
Ok i sprayed It put it away for a month and I can finally smell it!!! This really is creamy!! It’s a cold 40 degree rainy day near the sea…wow it’s amazing! It’s all the notes all working together! And I love it! I wanted a cozy scent took it out of its dark hiding place…and oooo ok I layered with my crystal noir? I’m curious to layer with some of my vanilla scents or cinnamon spicy ones! Very happy I didn’t give up!! Let it macerate ha
Ps…my ginger kitty is losing his darn mind!! He’s smelling all over this one ha

Trukoni

My daughter (15) just bought this and loves it. I can’t stand it. There’s something in it that makes me really nauseous, and I can’t pinpoint it. Looking at the notes there is no obvious culprit, I have and love perfumes with most if not all of the notes, but this perfume just really rubs med the wrong way. To me it’s cloying and unpleasant.

Siennai

realistic sour milk. so disappointed.

Sniffona

This is my reminder not to blind buy perfumes based on notes, or reviews. Vanilla, lactonic? On me it’s just strong, nauseating floral that doesn’t develop further.

Extremely surprised and underwhelmed. Anyone had the same outcome?

daehyma336

This is an easy reach. It also layers nicely. I cannot say that I think this is unique though. The sandalwood did come off a bit dill at first on me. I think that this is similar to Commodity Milk if memory serves me. I actually layered This is Her with SOL Cheirosa 62 body spray. I am always looking for ways to use these body sprays and mists that seem to accumulate. Also, this is an affordable fragrance which is nice. I am pleased with this blind buy.

dvadesetivek

What truly sets this perfume apart from other fragrances is its remarkable versatility. Whether worn during the day or in the evening, in summer or winter, this fragrance adapts effortlessly to any occasion. It exudes sophistication and refinement, yet retains an air of effortless elegance.

Jujas

Literally have NOTHING like this in my entire collection; creamy, smooth, vibrant and an absolute pleasure to wear! This manages to take virtually everything I love from other fragrances and make them whole in this little slice of fragrant heaven.

This is Her has fast become an absolute favorite; from an airy silk blossom to the beautifully (fresh and not indolic) jasmine sambac, the creamy lactonic vanilla and nutty chestnut is brilliantly rounded out with sandlewood / cashmere wood. Although powdery, it never overtakes the other accords. It also layers beautifully with so many other fragrances; Burberry Brit, Armani My Way Floral and The Vanille are recent favorites. I never want to be without this. Ever.

ruxela

The official site lists pink berries, not pink pepper

madiidii25

I love this scent. At first its sweet spicy, then sets in this beautiful woody scent. With touch of sweetness not in candy way. Love love love 😍

bbyevrm

Heavenly scent, i’ve been wearing for 4 years now, in summer with light hand too🥺 has a angelic, babyish scent trail with the whipped cream and the chestnut, stays like 2 days on my skin and eternal on clothes. will be wearing it till i die

hblakes70

Wow so many sad reviews 😢. I had really good luck with how this played on my skin! It’s creamy so creamy. Eith the whipped cream? It reminds me of a more mature milky Cloud. I love it! It’s sweet yes but not like celeb perfumes. It’s a nice creamy sweet perfume I find it very sexy!

ay.mor

Toothache immediately. And it does not tone down the sweetness in the dry down at all. If it weren't so sickly sweet, I would be able to distinguish the other (intriguing) notes for more than 2 seconds before getting a headache.

RaggedyAnn

I didn't get a Vanilla Amber vibe at all and definitely not milky. Powder bomb for sure but none of the notes want to play nice on my skin. It seems they're all fighting against each other - in a cheap catfight kinda way. Almost unisex but not quite. Not fem either in my estimation. Just not pleasant or interesting enough to want to keep. Just not feeling this one.

Bayane114

This fragrance made me feel nauseated something about it is gloomy and almost smells like when you feel sad for no obvious reason. As for the lotion whenever I smell it there is this garlic note my nose picks up.

miamiipeach

Clean, creamy and airy everyday scent. Noticeable, but not overwhelming. I also do get a soft smell of peach, especially in warmer temperatures.

pinotos802

Creamy, soft, delicious subtle vanilla and a bit powdery. This fragrance is a real cozy chameleon, you just wanna keep sniffing it because it captivates you and it is so intriguing. It does not smell perfumey at all, it gives you the impression that this is literally what your skin smells like! For me it is wayy to subtle, though... Crazy poor sillage, someone would smell it on me only if they'd bury their nose in my neck 😂
I also saw a review that said this smells like a baby, but even the baby has a stronger scent than this perfume honestly 😂😂

Queen_esther

You know how there are lipsticks "my lips but better", this is the perfume equivalent of that. Soft fluffy creamy cloud of vanilla and sandalwood. Perfect for everyday and for work.

Hanarina

It literally makes me smell so delicious and clean
Like cupcakes, but from reading the comments I realized that it smells different on each person's skin based on their chemistry, it smells better when you spray it on clothes but I love it both ways
It’s so soft and smooth I love it

layyelisee

I used to HATE this fragrance because the initial spray was extremely peppery and masculine on me. It smelled like pure shaving cream. I was told that I smelled like I was wearing cologne when I first sprayed this on me.
After returning to this fragrance, after 4 years, I have to say that the scent is amazing. It’s a soapy, milky, whipped cream sort of scent once it dries down and the sillage is insane. I only did a half spray because I hated the initial pepper scent but the dry down is insanely powerful. It smells like I bathed in it when I only used a half spray. It can be cloying if you spray too much but overall it smells wonderful once it dries down.

turgay_1968

Bu parfüm tam anlamıyla soğuk bir kış gecesi, her şey dahil duşunuzu yaptığınız, sonrasında nivea vucut losyonu sürüp, pijamalarınızla gilmore girls izleyeceğiniz; sıcak, kremsi ve sütlü dokuya sahip. İşte bunu sıktıktan sonra hissedecekleriniz...

veronodx

A soft fluffy creamy beautiful vanilla. I’ve been wearing this everyday since I bought it two weeks ago and it is already one of my favorites, I don’t think I’ll ever stop wearing it. It’s a HUGE compliment getter. It has a moderate longevity but I like to re-spray a few times throughout the day, just because I’m used to more intense perfumes, this is more subtle… Crowd pleasing yet unique… I’m in love!!

lichprincess

i’m not sure if it’s because of the season or my skin chemistry but this disappears after 30min and comes back in short whiffs of breath every now and then
maybe in the summer it’ll wear differently we’ll see
overall i enjoy the dry down when i can feel it but also the opening is interesting

papyrus6

The scent is like warm, fluffy vanilla. But not too strong, so it's perfect for everyday. It leaves a nice trail behind. Everytime I wear this, I get compliments! And the dent is already huge. Really recommend if you like vanilla, but want something not too strong.

Zethre

Peppery, soapy, then the dry down is chestnut with faint hint of caramel.

PP do a dupe that is more linear, just the dry down, with stronger chestnut and caramel

RocCity3

Something about this is so addictive! Sweet and creamy, but also clean. It has amazing projection and leaves an incredible scent trail. Definitely one I'll always have in my collection.

PureCoconut

One of my favourite perfumes. I use it frequently. Dreamy, creamy, soft, milky sandalwood. Cozy and sexy at the same time

aniton

This is by far my favourite designer fragrance. It is sweet, milky and peppery. Not overwhelming and generic smelling like most designer scents, truly a gem. There is woodiness & alluring and warm sweetness about it and I'd say it's a super cool fragrance for cool people.

Jenbug23

I wanted to love this one so bad. It almost worked. The whipped cream and the chestnuts smell divine. Creamy and cozy! However theres a spicy element (pink pepper) that just overtakes the fragrance. I like pink pepper but I feel it does not work here unfortunately. Commodity milk gives me what I wanted from this fragrance.

BikiniSoTeeny

Very sweet and aery, that milky note on my skin turns to spoiled milk. Hard pass

nichoa99

Wow this one is hard to describe. Something in it reminds me of the undertone of Zoologist- Cow, which is one of my favorites. I think it's the lactonic note of both- they smell very close. The difference is Cow has some sage and apple to lift it up. I really like this one.

There is nothing sharp or out of place here. I can see how some may say this is masculine, but to me it is perfectly genderless. It is sweet, but not in a girly-candy way. It's sweet in a comforting, full, cozy way. Not reminiscent of food. I could wear this everyday!

tursuk

Anyone saying this perfume smells masculine should be INSANE its super sweet

EpiphanyScents

What a conundrum this fragrance is. Some days I love it. Then some day's I hate it. Today I absolutely love it because I actually get the sweet lactonic chestnut that everyone raves about. And then some days It's a blithering mess that turns extremely peppery and masculine on me. I'm hoping that from here on in it will stay this wonderful sweet lactonic nutty goodness I'm getting because today the pepper note works and makes sense with the cooling affect that it has and it almost get's a pinch minty.

And I think that is why this fragrance is so divided. You have half that it is working for and the other half dumbfounded by what is going on. Trust me I get it. lol.

When this fragrance works it is extremely enjoyable, but do be warned one: it may not turn out like what you expected at first and two: it changes a lot. Especially during different seasons. I just have never had this much difficulty deciding if this fragrance works for me because of how it reacts and I'm seeing I'm not the only one. For now it appears to be working and hopefully for good and I totally get it. It's gorgeous.

MoonGirl22

I love this one so much! It’s interesting yet comforting. The downside is everybody and their mothers have it so I smell it everywhere.

Hodak

The opening felt too peppery and powdery, but a few seconds later, it revealed the most gorgeous milky floral scent I have smelt in while. Dare I say it's comparable to niche fragrances and it is both unique and versatile enough to be signature scent worthy.
Ever since I ran out of the sample, I keep re-sniffing the bottle...I can't stop thinking about it!!!!

dfnseven

When I first smelt this on a friend I was a bit disappointed because it felt too peppery and heavy. However, on my skin it turned into a soft, milky, beautiful cashmere vanilla scent. It is a bit masculine in the first 15 minutes which I love. It just needs to be compatible with your skin chemistry. 10/10.

Dollient

Very very powdery, which is not something I personally like, but I can definitely see liking this on someone more feminine than I am.. continuing onto my search for the perfect milky scent..

katie_444

Got a sample of this and had high expectations because the reviews were so interesting and the notes looked like something i would love! I don’t know how but it really doesn’t smell like much on my skin? It definitely opens up peppery - and i want to say almost minty for some reason and it quickly dries down to a creamy, very lactonic scent that isn’t that noticeable and doesn’t stand out.It definitely wears as a “your skin but better” fragrance. I really don’t get the hype!!

cyclone1391

On my skin this fragrance is a beast! Beautiful but I think I choked myself out with about 6x sprays. It gets even stronger the longer you wear it which is the opposite of most fragrances. Very lactonic which I'm not sure if I can stomach. Seriously, Giardini di Toscana bianco latte level of sillage and performance!

hivemindlola

oh my god - this is my top fragrance, ever! it's slightly sensual in a way, mature. the first time i smelt it, there must have had to be sparks because i utterly fell in love. it's like an early sunday morning. maybe it smells like waking up for nutcracker rehersals, or a 2016 autumn instagram post, or a cold winter you can't seem to move past. whatever you wear it for, you're sure to get compliments as it's unique, but not too outlandish to the point where you either love it or hate it. bury me with this perfume in my cold dead hands, please!

Madi0415

I’m pretty disappointed in this is her! To be honest; I’ve been watching for a deal on it for months, I wanted it SO bad so nothing would’ve swayed me from it- I had to find out for myself. When I became obsessed with lactonic fragrances, this was often recommended- even compared to commodity milk (absolutely not); same when I became obsessed with “your skin but better” skin scent type fragrances. I get NO vanilla in this perfume.. At first is nauseating, even with one spray, which is uncommon for me to experience, it is now spicy and I can smell the creaminess starting to come through- but not a lactonic creamy, if that makes sense? I’ve only had it on for about an hour, so I’ll have to come back and update to see if it further develops but it’s actually more masculine leaning imo- certainly unisex. I will say it projects very well & might be good mixed with a sweeter scent to tone it down a notch, for the price I just personally expected this fragrance to stand on its own; everyone has different preferences of course but from the way this was described to me, I’m getting none of that. blind buy gone wrong for sure.

russianprincess98

This smells masculine and overall, it reminds me of the pine fresheners or the smell of a new car... which is the thing that gives me the biggest headache in the world. Synthetic, chemically, sterile clean, in a Zara men section type of way... It really, really makes me nauseous 💔

I’m wearing a tester of this and I, having only just sprayed on my hand, am struck by how much this reminds me of Burberry Touch for Men.

Only a reminder, really, but they have the same musky spice and there’s a note at the edge that I can’t work out, but that I love.

I’ve always loved BT so This Is Her is a winner for me, at first spray. I’ll try it out properly before I decide if it’s worth a full bottle.

hebamuhamed

super clean and fresh with a little edge, immediately fell in love when i was looking for a new perfume, perfect for summer which is perfect for where i live where its mostly summer❤️❤️

roi2371

Where is the vanilla in this perfume? At first is nauseating, even with one tiny spray, then it becomes spiky and it smells mature with a citrusy note that is very prominent. and when a couple of hours pass you can only smell the sandalwood which is what i assume people are talking about when they say smooth.
The projection is very good.

Yalishanxiao

After having it for a year, it turned a bit sharp and sour for my nose. Today I layered it with Choco Musk Al-Rehab on top. It became this very creamy, vanilla floral scent with a hint of chocolate. I smelled so nice~~~

larabk

This is such a weird fragrance. At first it smells like laundry detergent. It is a very sweet floral in the opening, not a soft and milky fragrance at all. It becomes much softer but remains so floral. I detect the rest of the notes for sure, but there's a citrus quality in there that the notes don't list.

Also, this smells nothing like Commodity Milk to me.

shaym1n

I finally decided to use the sample of this I received a while back at Douglas. I really liked this on first sniff. Fresh, but not too fresh. Not very sweet either. But, still a very good smelling scent. I usually opt for sweet and floral scents so this was a different approach for me, but I was living for it.
The longevity is good, but unfortunately I found myself not really enjoying the scent as much anymore. It turned quite milky, but on my skin it didn’t smell good at all. I’m afraid this scent just doesn’t work well with my body chemistry. However, I think it would smell magnificent on others!

mekanazekana

At first I was skeptical, not sure do I like it. But, I find this perfume perfect perfume for winter days. It have some creamy and warm texture, that's why it is suitable for cold days. I wouldn't recommend to wear it on warm days. Scent last whole day and you can smell it later on your clothes. It even more beautifully at dry down.

xababyxaforluv

Modern, classy, floral and soft. Light. Smells so good, but somehow artificial. I think, because of how clean and product-like it smells. Powdered sugar if powdered sugar had a bit of spice. Dry down is nicer than initial spray, in my opinion. I could easily see this becoming a youthful, feminine everyday fragrance. In between seasons kind of fragrance. Not dark or warm enough for me, but has a nice vanilla to bring everything together smoothly.

melisachao

This is milky and soapy and lasts all day. I liked it at first but it kept reminding me of something I did not like and then it hit me: you know when get in a minivan or go to a house of someone who has small kids? That sour milk and sugar smell- this smells exactly like it. It has a healthy dose of sandalwood and performance wise, lasts all day. To make it more palatable for me, I sweeten it up with Commodity Milk but I can't wear it alone because I have always hated that sticky sweet smell of kid minivan.

sm311214

An absolutely gorgeous fragrance! It’s a warm, cosy hug in a bottle! Perfect for those cooler months. An absolute love for me ❤️

cortana

This perfume is unique! At first I didn’t like it. One year later I’m obsessed. I can’t really describe it. It’s milky and spicy, it’s soft and it’s strong. The wipped cream in this is yummy. It’s my man’s favourite.

Flared Maple

I see reviews below saying it is light and airy while still being very present. This is a great description.
I blind bought a bottle of this thinking it would be a classic gourmand. I was very disappointed when I didn't get the marshmallowy, sweet, creaminess I was expecting, and thought it might be my skin chemistry that was not meshing well with the fragrance. It was very light and not sweet at all.

A friend of mine allays wears this, and that changed my mind about this fragrance.
She always wears the same fragrance, but I didn't have the faintest idea what it could be. I didn't recognize it, and it didn't smell like anything i had smelled before.
Within arm's-length of her was this.... not fresh... not floral... not gourmand... pleasant smell.
It smelled sexy, almost like natural clean body odor mixed with a light body lotion or something.
I absolutely LOVED it.

So last week I asked her, "You always smell the same, and it smells great, WHAT is it?!".
To my surprise, it was This Is Her.
I was floored.
I apparently didn't give this fragrance a chance, because oh my, this is signature worthy.
It smells like a nonchalant, sexy, confident woman. It smells clean, unique and present without trying too hard.
All your clothes will smell like this and it is so unique that it is immediately recognizable while still being subtle (what? how?).

This has to be your cup of tea to like it. It doesn't smell like a "fragrance", and it doesn't smell like your TRYING to smell good. My friend is actually looking for a different perfume, because she likes smelling like she tried and wants something a bit more obvious and "perfume-y".

But for someone looking for the "I didn't even know I smell good, I just sprayed on whatever after my shower" blasé type of vibe, try this.
I'm definitely going to give it a second chance!

Update: I got a sample and gave this fragrance a second chance. I completely fell in love with it. It's projection and longevity are beast-mode, but it's still a soft fragrance. I think I over sprayed it when I tried it at first, because when you over-spray this it turns into a bitter, synthetic mess. You really only need 2 sprays, no more, to be enveloped by a smooth, sweet cloud of warm, creamy sandalwood fragrance for about 10 hours.

LoveSmellsss

I find this very milk fruit chew candy in a good way 🤣

JoCro61

Violet, vanilla, cashmere. Smells how silk looks. Clean.

AinoKaroliina

In the opening I'm immediately hit with the pink pepper and florals. Strong, sweet and spicy opening. Smells perfumey.

in the middle notes the hazelnut is clearly present. Vanilla is in the background. I find the middle notes more enjoyable than the opening scent. Fuzzy, cozy, warm vibe. The creaminess is subtle. Hazelnut, musk and pepper mixed with a pinch of sugar is what the middle notes mostly is to me. The base is musky and sweet.

good projection with just a spray or two.

Not my style but I see why this is popular.

jaehyuns

i agree with @BrumaJearl! this a freshie that has a creamy quality to it and it lasts quite long. i wore this to classes the other day and this girl behind me asked what i was wearing because she kept sniffing me

Bibi16

This truly is a gem!! I barely use it but whenever its really cold, I crave this. It's beautiful, sweet and creamy (almost lactonic) I love it. During warmer weather the jasmine is the star of the show, fresh sweet fragrance but during fall/winter, the whipped cream, vanilla, chestnut and sandalwood take the front seat borderline gourmand all this on a bed of cashmere wood. Just cosy & delicious but still has that perfume vibe to it.

Layer this with Bianco latte or black phantom= Bomb !

BrumaJearl

I completely disagree with the headache woman below me. This 100% is a clean, fresh fragrance. It has creaminess to it, yes but not in a foodie way. More like a lotion. I get no food from this. Zero. I hear people describe this as a whipped cream chestnut fragrance. That is so misleading!. I love this but it's clean and lotion like in texture. Lasts forever and is very loud.

miewtje

Saying this with love but I'm getting a headache from all the comments categorising this as a freshie, both in real life and here in fragrantica xD. I swear to God it's not. I get what people are trying to say with that though. When i first got a whiff of this coming from someone else i wasnt sure if it was perfume i detected or rather a bodylotion or shampoo. It's a very noticable fragrance without ever being cloying of dense. It's texture is opake or misty, if that makes sence. It's fluffy and light. It's a soft fragrance while still being vividly present. It's salty nutty and whipped scent fills the room with it's sillage and it's such a warm and enviting sensation. It's not fresh, even though it dries down into a lotion-like smell. I LOVE this baby but at very first sniff i did deem this too basic too fast. I kept thinking of it and craving it so i got myself a bottle for the first time years ago after i finally caved. It's texture is one of a kind. And it's because of it's texture that i love it so. There is nothing else out there with these notes that manages to be this fluffy, airy and light while still being a major presence.

sutlac

kokusunu seviyorum fakat silajı ve kalıcığı zayıf.

Gabriella.0

I absolutely love this scent. It feels warm, sweet, calming. It's not a straight-up sweet scent, and it blends so nicely with the skin. It simply makes me smile. I wear it all year round but I love it most durinf autumn, for that warmth it has

jaehyuns

i just received this in the mail today and like other reviews said, this wasn’t a love at first sniff but that is expected. i just need to let this sit out for a while and revisit it in a month or so and give my full review

DoYouSmellThat

I have to agree with other reviewers. I’ve had this for years. When I heard all the amazing stories and compliments people were receiving, I blind bought it. Didn’t get the hype because there was a note that was off to me. Well after 2 years I decided to smell it and it smells amazing. Everything now smells smooth and I think my nose has changed.

Can’t seem to find it on the website anymore or maybe it’s seasonal. Either way I will cherish it.

Kendelem1999

Obviously this perfume takes time to reach its full potential. It is said in many many of the reviews - hated at first ended up as a love! Exactly what happened to me! I purchased 2 years ago as a blind buy. It was so peppery to me I considered it unwearable. I can’t explain it really but to me it smelt like curdled milk that had been infused with pepper and sandalwood. Fast forward to yesterday. Saw it sitting sadly untouched among my over abundance of perfume. I was in the mood to try something really different so I grabbed it and put one super small spay on my wrist, waited a minute then smelled. Very different then I remember. Creamy, nutty, yes still pepper and sandalwood but it complimented the creamy sweetness instead of ruining it. As others have said it’s a sweet, cozy scent! I’m very happy I didn’t give it away! I will be wearing this often all Fall and Winter. If when you first get it you despise it, put it away for a bit then come back and give it another try.

bronni666

This has that same burnt sensation that BR540 has and By the Fireplace Replica. So not too sure about it. May be a scrubber.

JoanMichelle98

This was a blind buy, yes, I make a lot of those
I guess I thought it would be more sweet but the sandalwood overpowers the fragrance (in a good way)
It feels like a hug, thats my best description

mandyads

One thing I didn't understand from the reviews... this is a FRESHIE before anything else. As a decadent gourmand girl, I can say this fragrance is for my clean esthetic girls. It's a mildy gourmand take on a FRESH, CLEAN MUSK.

People raved about the nuttiness and how lactonic and creamy this fragrance is and I'm not sure I get that. I would say it is fluffy (like a fat-free whipped cream + musk). There is definitely a lactonic accord, but it's like dry, powdered milk (not the creamy, condensed milk that people describe it as). Perhaps what they mean is that the fragrance is smooth, which would be due to the heavy sandalwood influence. Smooth and fuzzy, but not creamy. The nuttiness is there, but it's not like a roasted toasted chestnut... more like a boiled chestnut. The musky sandalwood over-powers both the nutty and lactonic notes and that's why I say this is a clean musk before anything else.

If that's your vibe, I think this would be such a unique item to add to your collection. Unfortunately, I am not a freshie girl. I was hoping this could be my version of a clean girl fragrance (because I've been looking for one and Eau Duelle EDT is the closest I've gotten so far), but I find it still isn't a match.

It's such a light-textured fragrance that I don't think it could cut through the cold if you have a true winter. I would reserve it for the transitional months. Also, the longevity is only a couple of hours for me with minimal projection... And I overspray like crazy... as in putting a dent in the fragrance each wear. Maybe others could smell me, but I was having a hard time.

UPDATE: So I think I might actually prefer this to Diptyque Eau Duelle EDT. Even though I don't typically prefer fresh & clean fragrances on women, I really want to expand my collection to have some. When I actually compare Eau Duelle to This is Her side by side... I think the latter is still more appealing to me if I had just ONE I could choose. I might play around with them for a while.

thatsveryinteresting

Tested it for 2 months in the store and LOVED IT but then I bought it and wore it. Now I just don’t like it.. I’m getting a headache and it makes me sick. Also the scent smells a bit like metal or something weird😕 sadly

Delrey2002

At first I liked it but after a few times wearing it it started to bother me and although a lot of people say it's a cozy perfume, whenever I smell it it causes me anxiety and distress. Sad because it's a good perfume but it gives off bad vibes.

naturechild

This smells so familiar, like i have smelt that exact smell before and it drives me crazy not remembering what it was..Anyway, it's incredible. Maybe the coziest perfume i've smelled. Lazy snowy mornings, cat laying around, books and warm coffee with lot of milk and cream, feeling content and happy and a bit introverted. Love it

Hifza

If beauty and beast has a fragrance face, then this is the one to get your hands on! It's wild yet beautiful. It's delicious yet cozy and comfortable. It's like having a creamy jasmine scent with a pop of cashmere wood.

Selmaal

Not a save blind buy but this is a beautiful dirty perfume for those who enjoy beast mode

goinghomeagain

Sweeter version of Glossier You.

No_namnd

I bought this perfume last year deeply influenced by all the clean girlies on TikTok. I had a weak memory that it made me nauseous last time I wore it but today I decided to give it another go.

I absolutely HATE this perfume. There is something so deeply nauseating about this perfume, it’s so sweet (and that’s coming from someone who loves sweet perfumes) and overly intense, mixed with pepper and whipped cream? I get an headache just thinking about how it smells.

After I sprayed it I immediately tried washing it off, but 14 hours later with hair washed and body scrubbed I still get whiffs of it. Also got migraine about 30 mins after applying it. Safe to say I will never be using this perfume again.

MomGodess

Very good job with Sandalwood, finally a vanilla amber without patchouli!
Super-woman scent. For someone very well put together, unique. Someone who steps outside of the box, has a strong morning routine, drinks her water, does her steps, declutter the wardrobe and nail done the meetings.
It is clean and approachable and in the depth it is incredible sexy.
Who wears it, wears it with skinny fitted jeans, fresh blow out and white shirt or cashmere sweater and pearls, occasionally creols. She does yoga, burns pumpkin spice candle in the fall and diffuse in the summer with lime.
Yes. This is her and her scent.
A more mature take on Cloud, a more modern version of Samsara. Reminds me of molecule scents but a greater longevity and sillage.
Still needs occasional touchups during the day.
10/10 for the way it makes you feel.

Kjkoni

There is something funky about this one… I dunno, it’s kind of weird smelling, I think I need more time with it. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it either.

batuhanavci

No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t force myself into liking this fragrance. All I get is cows milk with a sharp woody undertone. It grosses me out!

Jennaflareon

This is a hard one to review. I both like it and don't like it.

When you first spray, there is a very sweet coconut scent. Right at the beginning there is also something slightly sour or citrusy in the scent.

After a while, the sourness disappears completely. What's left is a sweet but clean scent. There is something in the background that smells like kerosene or some other kind of oil. I don't like that part of the scent.

It's like I just got out of the shower, smeared myself with coconutlotiton and then hugged my husband when he comes straight from the garage.

Disebi1

Okay!! I am finally ready to give a review.
So I bought this perfume at the start of summer because of all the "milky, lactonic" reviews but when I sprayed it all I got was pepper and spice.
I felt defeated and upset but as a lover of warm spice perfumes I really didn't mind too much.
Anyhoo after spraying for about a week I left it alone.
I picked up this perfume this week and I'm like "what?! Where's that creaminess coming from?" Realised it was the perfume and I was so shocked.
It is not vanilla per se more like cream and nuts. It's not a bold scent but as an oversprayer I do get people around asking ooh what do you have on its sweet.

M4rkéta

Creamy friendly chestnut that is not too sweet. It creates this unusual coziness you don't get a whole lot.

camila depolito

I love the smell, but i noticed it always makes me super nauseous and this has never happened before.

Dreamdott

I think my nose is tainted by gourmands. Lol what I mean is I have so many sweet fragrances that anything described as sweet is barely sweet for me anymore. What I get from this is a very creamy chestnut scent with a good amount of sandalwood. It can be very cloying at times but I still like this fragrance. I was very confused at what my nose was smelling when I first got this. I’m still slightly confused. All I know is I like it! I wanted something different from all my other fragrances but still in the gourmand realm and this is perfect. Fair warning: not a safe blind buy - spray lightly. Though very sweet it’s also very fresh! I like to layer this with fresh vanilla blossoms lotion from bath and bodywork’s to accentuate the vanilla note.

Edit: it’s fall now and every time the wind blows it smells like a sweet breeze. I still emphasize that spraying lightly will stop it from becoming too cloying. I like it very much!

Final update: I love it. I’m happy I bought it, currently this is what I wear to work and it’s an easy grab n go. It’s a sweet, nutty and airy fragrance. I would repurchase but really that won’t be for at least 4 years because it’s so strong.

Photojenchick

Blind bought 2 years ago. First impression was regret, but now it's a love. Creamy sandalwood, seamless balance of sweet & dry. Don't often see silkwood blossom used in fragrances. The trees grow like mad here in Southeast U.S. Sniffing a blossom up close is almost repulsive. Funky, sticky sweetness, but in a weird way that keeps you coming back for more. Its use here is beautifully done, present but not overwhelming, adds to the scent's uniqueness. This is Her is a layering champ. Gives depth and longevity to the Egyptian musk accord in Phlur Missing Person. Smooths & sweetens Santal 33 types like Oakcha's Rhue or Sam Edelman Signature, softening the pencil-shaving dryness of the latter. Combining This is Her with Versace Crystal Noir creates a creamy, coconut-spice concoction that is out of this world. Versatile, beautiful staple in my collection.

Bonimitkova

I love it its so comfy and sweet but nit like most sweet fragrances 🍬🥛🌰🥹😍🤍🤍🤍

Tsmarcondes

I was dying for the fall to use this once again! I love this perfume so much, it's such a cozy and creamy vanilla, sweet and classy! The bottle is another spectacle, It reminds me of a big block of ice (which gives the tone for the best use). I have the Zara dupe also (I'm an oversprayer, is the best for saving lol) and it's REALLY really similar, specially on the drydown.

Charmedbymeghan

This is a complete love at first sniff. This is my kind of "skin scent"! I am a beast-mode lover, but this perfume is perfection for those times I want a softer, more intimate woody-gourmand. It is beyond gorgeous! Yes it is creamy smooth & nutty lactonic sandalwood/vanilla with some sweetness. I love vanilla, sandalwood, nutty and lactonic fragrances - so to have all in one - THIS IS GIVING ME LIFE 🥰

I will say, I also own Zara Fields At Nightfall, which is cute. But that is giving me water. While this is giving me cream. They are not the same and this was definitely worth buying for me.

This is giving peaceful & meditative 🧘♀️ while also giving creamy & delicious.

A softer projector, but beautiful nontheless. Highly Recommend if these things sound good.

Lusylia

I’m in the group of people who are anosmic to the creamy or vanilla aspects of this perfume. I smell a scent, yes, but all I get is the pink pepper and pepper only. I tried to “macerate it” for six months and it did not make a difference. I’m writing this review to give heads up to those contemplating to blind buy a bottle - you might be in my group, like some other reviewers on here are.

foxidius_

LOVE and PERFECTION. I was hesitating between this and PR Olympea Solar and I'm glad that I decided on this one. This makes me feel like a woman: being soft and strong at the same time.

Edit: IT TURNED SOUR. The whole thing turned sour for my nose, I don't wear it often anymore.

DieT CroaK

I have been afraid to pull the trigger on purchasing this one because the reviews are so divisive but I am noticing that this one isn’t as widely available as it used to be. I feel like this one is getting discontinued soon and it’s becoming more scarce in the U.S. I should start with the fact that I do love my soapy, clean, fresh scents. When I heard this being described as gourmand and sweet, I was intimidated. I can appreciate a gourmand but not something that’s solely gourmand. There has to be something to it that makes it more complex in order for me to really enjoy wearing it. Amo Ferragamo, for instance, was one fragrance that looked so promising both in the notes and reviews. A creamy, gourmand, decadent orange Campari scent? I had to have it. That feeling was short-lived and I was so disappointed. I ended up hating Amo on me. The dry down was purely a shrill, boozy vanilla. It reminded me of something my mom used to wear that irritated my allergies as a kid. I ended up cutting my losses and selling my bottle. My first impression of This Is Her happens to be unexpectedly positive after being so suspicious. It ticks all the boxes:

✔️ It has a clean, creamy base
✔️It’s musky, cozy, lactonic, and a little powdery
✔️It’s slightly sweet and gourmand-ish without being overpowering
✔️It has a unique smoky aspect from the chestnut note which again is balanced and not overdone
✔️Good longevity and sillage
✔️It’s a tad unisex but more feminine leaning to me

If I could think of something similar to compare TIH to, it would be Crystal Noir by Versace. By no means is this an identical, 1:1 dupe to CN. It has a similar style in regards to the profile and quality of CN. I happened to see a review that stated that this fragrance smelled like ball sweat and thank God I am not picking that up 🤣 In the same review, the girl also reviewed Montblanc’s Signature. She described that scent as soapy, citrusy, creamy, and luxurious. In my experience, it’s the total opposite. There was something in Signature that I couldn’t tolerate. An overwhelmingly animalistic, sweaty, spoiled milk smell lingered through on my skin that never dissipated. That’s not to say that her opinion along with all the positive reviews that this fragrance gets aren’t accurate. It’s entirely possible that I got a really good batch of Z&V or a really bad batch of Montblanc. Either way, it just goes to show that you never know how a scent is going to meld with your particular chemistry and perception. I do see why people call this scent addictive and intoxicating.

RougeRouge84

All I can smell is strawberries and creamy woods! It’s perhaps the sandalwood in combination with the creamed milky notes that my skin picks up on.
It’s a pleasant everyday scent, but it doesn’t WOW you. I can imagine women of all ages wearing this and enjoying the warm cozy feeling this fragrance gives.

Flexwithviv

I tried this and found it absolutely boring and not memorable. If I was gifted it I would wear it, but I wouldn’t purchase tbh.

There are more cosy scents out there.

sotnos

It took me some time to figure out if I like this perfume or not. After a few tries, I started to like it. It gives both warm and cold vibe, like some sort of comfort during winter, and there's also a hint of something I'm not familiar with. Every time I wear it people compliment it. It's a bit milky but not overpowering. I often wear it in the evening or when I'm just at home, it soothes me in a way. I'd say this could be a safe blind buy.

Chira

This is a fragrance that I find addictive but I don't understand why 🙃 It just smells good. Like a white fluffy cat. Hot girl from apartment 6b. That moment of peace on Sunday morning. Cute guy in a candy shop. Nicely folded blanket.

It just somehow makes sense. Notes? I smell nothing of the listed, maybe some vanila and cream. But I feel damn good when I wear this.

sw33tlikeh0ney

smells so masculine :( and sharp :( where is the creaminess :( i want it more sweet :( and vanilla :( maybe even muskier :( its not even lactonic :( my huge hype turn into disappointment :(

Rooney10

As a guy, this is the scent I want to smell on a woman. I got a sniff from a girl who stood 1.5-2 meters from me and I just had to ask her what it is, the projection is enormous! Since then I'm hooked, I'm about to buy this for my sister's birthday. Hope she likes it the way that I do.

beachgirl722

It smells sweet and creamy with a hint of sandalwood. I like the smell but it makes me nauseous :/ I also get hints of spoiled milk smell sometimes.

TheFl0rist

Sandalwood! More Sandalwood and More Sandalwood! Then put some cardamom to it!

In my country cardamom is a staple spice and it's not very appealing to me.

I smell like an Indian sweet shop wearing this. Too strong good performance sweeet! But sandalwoods and cardamom are scent memories I don't want to remember!

Sold off the bottle!

PIИК

Does this have iso-e or any other aroma-chemical?? Based on the notes I should like it, it isn't repulsive as a scent but after a few minutes it makes me extremely nauseous in a way that only a perfume with iso-e has made me before. I would bet it does have it. I don't know what the deal is with aroma-chemicals nowadays, this is the second perfume with notes that I like that they ruin for me to the point that I feel physically sick after smelling it for a while

Tinabill

This is Her hugging Him!
This is Them!
Truly, this feels like “she” is wearing a creamy, nutty, sweet, vanilla perfume, and her “man” is wearing a fresh, musky woodsy cologne. He hugged her and his cologne rubbed on her. That’s how This is Her smells; of cologne and perfume sitting side-by-side rather than blending. It feels cozy and comfortable but somewhat intriguing. I wouldn’t call it edgy and dark or gourmand as the marketing statement does. I find it rather comforting but it’s unique enough to have you come back one time after the other, to sniff it. Lovely.
And if you have not guessed it already, this works for any gender.

mothtoaflame___

This is Her by Zadig & Voltaire, La Belle by Jean Paul Gaultier and good old Nina by Nina Ricci are the most appealing gourmands - and the only ones I can tolerate I ever came across (as someone who genuinely dislikes this olfactory spectrum).

(Tested)

Jacklyn's Perfumery

I don't know what it is with me and pink pepper but It never has worked for me for the most part. I too was looking for another creamier, sweet milky fragrance but the pepper really does over dominate this fragrance like others have said here and turns it a bit masculine with the spice..this is not a safe blind buy. I was looking for something comparable to Tubereuse Castane by Maison Lancome that has been long discontinued and this seemed hopeful. Now that is creamy and sweet with chestnuts. I love it so much. This is her is more like a sweet clean detergent fragrance with pepper and it's a bit screechy..I just can't get with it. If anyone knows anything comparble to Tubereuse Castane let me know..thanks.

Major Update: So this fragrance finally is working out for me. It appears to change in different seasons and now in the cold is when it really shines. Perhaps also my nose adapted to this over time. So I am beginning to really love this fragrance. I don't know what happened. I'm just getting the nice creamy sweet scent now more than ever. But do know what people are experiencing is a real thing..This thing shifts and can borderline masculine for some. Now it feels more stable to me and sweeter. Hopefully for good cause where it's at now it's so pretty! Creamy, lactonic, sweet, floral but airy and not a heavy gourmand..and has pepper to spice it up a bit..just right. Love it.

I say sit on this fragrance for a little bit and come back to it in time..you may change your overall opinion like I have..this is not a first time thing..it's something you learn over time with many fragrances. But this is a good thing that we can grow and change with fragrances too over time..so don't fully give up on this one yet! Let it sit and see how it blooms later on and come back to it. Then report back to us what you get next!

jessica_chinos

Completely agree with Jeissi who commented below. This smells quite synthetic, like they wanted to imitate the smell of whipped cream and ended up with a pretty cheap and unnatural version of it. This perfume is quite screechy and not creamy at all. It's quite obnoxious. I dislike it completely.

jeissi

It is not comforting like many sweet vanilla lactonic fragrances. It is sharp and I get annoyed when i wear it.

Flore-perfumista

Need to be appropriate ! The more i wear it the more i like it ! But it’s not my love ! Very simple in fact. I wear it on the skin just 2 spray on my neck.
Vanilla, Wood and ambroxan ! Very unique signature.
Last day i walked in the street and i smell it suddenly. I looked around and saw the Zadig & Voltaire store. Original, simple but well done and last all the day.

Saffron pink

I feel warm and encapsulated in a creamy cloud, with chestnuts roasting and a sweetness in the dry down I can’t get enough of.
Projection is huge, longevity decent and i get a lot of compliments with this one.
Husband loves it. I love it.
A winner blind buy.

ssinai

I liked it at first but then I noticed a slight “off milk” smell and couldn’t stand it after that.

lauraimelda

This smells like a naked, independent lady who just stepped out of the shower and put on an expensive milk lotion in her apartment bathroom with lit goth smelling candles because she didn't pay her light bill. Her boyfriend came over and has the fireplace going on full blast (about to cause a fire) and is roasting chestnuts in the living room. Imagine all these smells together. To me, this perfume smells clean, milky, very spicy, dark and powdery at the same time. The scent is both bold and soft with a modern French rocker vibe. I can envision a beautiful, trendy French model wearing this perfume dressed in all black with Doc Martins, no makeup and plenty of piercings while shopping and walking the streets of Paris. Mix By the Fireplace with l'Interdit Intense, add milk, spice and powder and it could be a similar DNA. This is a clean, cozy, cold weather perfume. However, there is something about this perfume that made my stomach turn when I was already sick.

Sweetboy05

This would've been so much better without that chestnut note. It's WAYYY too prominent to my nose and I hate it!

creamyandlight

Smells like a woman who just took a shower and then put her unwashed pajama shirt back on.
Musky, soapy, intimate. But just not what I'd like to smell like.

ASunday193

I see why so many women like it. It’s nice, it’s feminine, it’s pretty. It’s super sweet, soapy and lactonic. Sadly, I just can’t stand it on myself. This frag is migraine inducing to me. Pass.
I prefer This is her! Undressed.

itwasmaroon

I had high hopes for this one as I’m on the hunt for an interesting vanilla scent that doesn’t lean too gourmand, but alas, it did not work with my chemistry at all. The initial spray didn’t do much for me: I got a sharp pepper note and no vanilla at all, just milky base and woodiness. Then the pepper note went astringent on me, and the milky base note turned acidic and sour. The dry down was intense and seemed to come in waves. I put it on to be cozy before bed and woke up nauseated in the middle of the night. Made me feel hungover after a pukey night out or like a baby had spat up on me. I so wish it worked on me — cozy chestnut vibes are all I wanted. But I will definitely be passing this tester onto someone else.

derliesl

I guess I'm noseblind to certain noted and sensitive to others, because everyone who wears this smells extremely strong to me: a synthetic and cold floral woody scent, similar to Molecule 01. To my nose is not sweet at all.

If you have this as a signature scent, be aware that this fragrance is very polarizing and other people might smell something different than you.

emilia123

such a soft and comforting scent! it's sweet, but not too sweet, musky, but not too musky. finally found a marshmallow-esque vanilla scent that isn't too powdery. debating getting a full bottle!

ncbluesky

This was a blind buy based on a TikTok recommendation. Just took it out of the box and sprayed it twice. Got hit with a scent memory but it took me a while to place it. Back in the 1960s my Dad used a hand lotion after working. This smells exactly like vintage Hinds Honey and Almond lotion. Haven't smelled anything else quite like it in years. Instant ❤️

bahar1208

This is my first review and i picked this perfume to review because i've had the most WEIRD experience with it.
I was given a sample of it 4-5 years ago that i had completely forgotten and decided to test last September. An awful stench of vomit and pepper took me by surprise and i had labeled it as by far the worst fragrance i had ever smelled!
A month later, i went to try This is Love and the sales lady sprayed me with This is Her. And oh the delight! I was hit with the coziest scent i had ever smelled, it was like a mother's hug. I decided to buy a tester bottle and it was even more potent! Every time i wore it it was like i was surrounded by a cloud of milky vanilla, the nuttiness and the woodiness were to die for and it even had an impact on the people around me, even strangers were more polite and friendly! I wore it every day for work, dates, nights out with friends, before bedtime and since the longevity of it is almost eternal, it always somehow lingered on my clothes/house and i was ADDICTED.
Until the disaster happened and my bottle was broken.
I ran to buy a new one from the store but by the first spritz i was let down. The heart of the scent was similar but weaker, more white floraly, spicy and a little headache inducing, waaay less lactonic and sweet, not too bad but not the wonder i was used to.
So far, i still have no idea what happened, my tester didn't seem like a dupe (if it was it really did surpass the original though) so i guess i got a bad batch from the beauty store? Can a perfume that is not a cheapie be so fragile and change from the juice of the angels to a synthetic mess or even vomit? I'm very confused and I pray that mancerating for a couple of months will help because for now it is pretty much useless. Every time i spray myself from the new bottle it ruins my mood because it reminds me of how much i loved the previous one!
I wish the company finds a way to sort out that problem but until then i'll search for more affordable dupes. 100+ Euros is too much for playing Russian Rulette and not knowing what i'm going to get!

jbaby283

This made me gag at first. It smells like a baby's vomit in a way. Airy, sickeningly sweet, milky, but kinda stinky. But after couples of uses, i don't dislike it as much as i did at first.

This one projects strongly, and it also lasts the whole day. But it's so milky and cocooning it doesn't smell like something that someone should wear out of their house. You definitely can pick up every note listed here, especially the sandalwood, whipped cream, pink pepper and chestnut. I just don't like nutty perfumes I guess, but i think if you like nutty notes, you will like this one.

Also this smells like the daytime version of gris charnel, if you consider that fragrance a night-time perfume. It's sweeter, more airy, and less spicy than GC. But it's kinda like, if you own TIH, you may still want GC. But if you own GC, you don't need TIH. Hope that makes sense.

This perfume develops strongly on skin, so if you don't smell it at first, just wait for a couple hours. I'm okay with it now, still not love it but it's a weak like. Like, I still crave for it sometimes. I feel like I will like this more as time goes. Also, this is quite a compliment-getter. I wore it one day to the office and someone walked near my work station and suddenly went 'something smells so good in here'. I'm not 100% sure but it's probably me.

Like i do think it smells good and i think many people will agree, but it's not my kind of good.

Overall 7/10.

Update 06/2023: smells devine with zara elegantly tokyo. it really amps up the woodiness and adds in the sweetness that zara elegantly tokyo is lacking (excepts for its base note). the combination is very classy, a bit old-fashioned but in a good way. still doesn't smell good on its own.

Update 08/2023: grew on me big time lol i love it now.

KimberMoon

I am so utterly confused. I wanted to love this fragrance and SHOULD have, judging by the notes, my existing collection, and reviews. On me, this smelled like someone vomited up toenails on a floor that just so happened to be made of sandalwood. I'm not exaggerating. I want the creamy, comforting, sweet, vanillic scent you guys are raving about. This is Her is not it - with my chemistry anyway. I am not an expert, so I don't know what note is turning vomitty on me, but this is not the only fragrance I've tried lately that has pulled that. BR 540 even does it a little bit on me, I have to get my nose right up to the scent on my skin to detect it, but it's there. I've been able to get my fix from some houses like Kyse and Dua, but I'll always wish Z&V had worked out for me. Jelly of all you people that get yummy, comforting bliss in a bottle.

Yasmeene

Finally got my own bottle! After smelling the sample sprays on my clothes for days, being tortured... (it stays on your clothes for days!)
The initial spray really gets dominated by powdery scent and jasmine. After drying down it melts into your skin with such creamy lactonic and cashmeran notes... it marries my skin in such a warm, comforting way. I got to experience this fragrance in some odd cold, rainy weeks we had this spring so I am overly excited to use it this winter.
This is a more feminime fragrance but honestly could picture this radiating from a man and wanting me to eat him up. Lol.
I'd even wear this fragrance to bed it's so comforting.

passthemustard

For me the pepper note really dominates and makes this more savory than I like. I was hoping for something more creamy and sweet.

PuppyFever

When you first spray this fragrance you may be put off by its masculine edge, but you should wait for it to dry down entirely to enjoy its complete texture. Once on the skin for a few minutes, you are left with a sweet, frothy, milky base, like a mouthful of whipped cream. It's definitely unique so it may require some getting used to before committing to a full bottle, but it's truly a delicious, soft, and cosy gourmand perfume.

avril_gnb

Unpopular opinion but this is how I imagine barbie smells like (i love it and would buy a full size)

mechawitch

this is a very unique fragrance! it is creamy but in a soap or moisturizer kinda way, without a hint of sweetness. i barely detect any chestnut though, this is very sandalwood forward which may overpower the rest of the notes. also, take into account that the whipped cream note does not feel excessively lactonic, it leans more powdery in my opinion. I find it really cozy, like putting on a fuzzy sweater straight out of the dryer. also I would say this is more suited for autumn or winter months, in summer it might be a bit cloying.

perfumeloverxox

This is a unique, creamy and clean (without being fresh) fragrance. Warm and comforting with a hint of sweetness.

It reminds me of ironing for some reason.

It's very day and office appropriate.

I have Zara fields at nightfall and it definitely is a *very* close dupe. This one is a little more creamy and sweet.

Lsquared

Waaaay too masculine. I even asked my husband & he agreed that it didn't smell even a tiny bit sweet or creamy like some other commenters have said. I don't know if the tester I tried was just off or what, but it's just not what I was expecting. Total letdown!

Hamano_Chiaki

I can't believe I used to hate this perfume - now I absolutely love it! It's such a unique yet affordable scent, perfect for everyday. Moderately sweet, lactonic, softly floral, vanillic, nutty creamy goodness. Also lasts a long time on skin. These kind of scents are a good reminder that you don't need to pay niche prices in order to get a nice and unique perfume.

Momopeach

I just got this in the mail, it was a blind buy since this isn't sold in stores near me.

I don't smell ANY sweetness or really any vanilla. I get pretty much ONLY Sandalwood and chestnut. I was surprised at first how masculine it smelled. It smells fine overall, pretty fresh, but just not what I was expecting. Not sure if there are different versions of this floating around or if there are 2 types of noses when it comes to this fragrance.

I think this might grow on me but I'm just sad I'm not getting the milky, sweet, vanilla that most people in the comments seem to be getting. I'm the type of gourmand lover who wants to smell LITERALLY like marshmallows, so you can imagine my disappointment

Update: it is really growing on me. Still not super sweet but it is a pretty luxurious feeling scent and it lasts fairly well, it's very strong for about 3 hours and then more subtle for about 3 more hours.

Emi93

First perfume ever to give me instant nausea. I rushed to wash my wrists and left some soap smeared on them to be sure it's gone. Buying nose that hasn't smelled this. Vile.

Jaimedjohnston

This is the one. We've all been searching for that one fragrance that when you smell it, you instantly say YES to. It satisfies all of your olfactory desires. This is Her does that for me. It's deep, and rich and interesting. It's sweet without being cloying. It has a hint of creaminess that I am attributing the smoothness to the silkwood and cashmere. It's woody without being dry. It's near on gourmand but the hint of silkwood blossom just gives it a hint of floral. It's intriguing. Interesting. I can't stop smelling myself. For me, this is very sexy. It has great sillage and is long lasting. This is the one for me. Why has it taken me so long to purchase this? I'll never be without this fragrance.

autumnblue914

Milky, creamy, sweet vanilla. I want to get a bottle asap at a discounter.

The whipped cream makes the perfume smell cold almost, it's really nice. And it's not too sweet, it's the perfect amount. I don't detect the chestnut but hopefully I will with more wears.

k8iet

I love this scent. It’s warm and cozy, but not too much. Very inoffensive, think this may become my new daily scent. Ive been layering it with Mancera Velvet Vanilla & Dior Poison girl and it’s delicious, but I also love it alone.

Athena99

I absolutely love this fragrance - it’s so warm and comforting. Excellent staying power, lasts on clothes forever.

artsyellie

I really wanted this perfume, as it sounds exactly what I enjoy: warm, lactonic and sweet.

I had the chance to try it on and on me it's rather fresh and floral, It is very nice but it's not what I was looking for. It's a skip, but it would certainly make a great office or signature scent.

Shalva

Apparently there exist 2 versions of this perfume, first one luxuriously creamy and soft and clean and just wonderfully comforting yet the other - sour, too heavy on pepper, kind of like ammonia and nothing like the first one, that said I'm guessing there's either a fake on the market or this can go bad from time to time.

Anyhow, if we are talking about the good one it is quite remarkable, as a guy I would be instantly drawn to a girl wearing this fragrance as it communicates a presence of feminine energy coming from a sense of orderliness, there is nothing out of place here no questionable notes or vibes, just pure enjoyment. White angel feathers, whipped cream, coconuty texture, clean laundry and expensive soap, undeniably lactonic, feels like hugging a marshmallow. A guy could wear this thanks to the wood, except .. why?

This is her is nice, pleasing and welcoming, very comforting, it's really good, do get it.

aveno

live laugh love this is her

bpopelkova

This smells divine with my skin chemistry. Fresh but creamy, chestnuty, very smooth and silky. My signature scent, inoffensive, office safe, everyday easy go. Love this.

ennirroc

I'm glad I finally got my hands on this! The scent of my dreams! It's so beautifully creamy without sitting too heavy. The sweet middle notes really come out on my skin - vanilla & whipped cream; however, they're not overly cloying. I sprayed it this morning and 4 hours later I'm still getting whiffs of the delicious scent.

Suncica7

First time I smelled this, I was swept off my feet.
I was working as a receptionist in the gym, and a girl came in ith this big gigantic smell for a work out.
Few meters away from me I was able to smell it. -WHaaaat is it?! - You can't buy it here, only abroad!-arrogance spoke.
-no problem, just tell me the name pls.
And she only told me the name of brand which i wrote down all together.
The smell- it smelt like nothing ever before, not floral, not classic, very unusual, powdery and milky, but also sth nostalgic, like going back to the childhood. I still can't point finger it.
I can smell all the notes on me apart from silk wood blossom-as I have zero idea how it smells. But I suppose the most dominant, the one that is so unusual and stands out - is the chestnut. I suppose, coz I dont know how it should smell but it is edible so it must be it. And the cashmere in the dry down is heavenly.
I remember waking up in the morning to kiss my boo for work and going back to bed and the bed smelt on the perfume all over. I would say more than milk and vanilla- it is chestnut and cashmere that stands out.
Heaven.

femmeblush

oh this is so lovely and so so pleasant for my nose. my new signature scent! i have a hard time describing perfumes but i’ll say it reminds me of fresh laundry outside in the garden during springtime, it’s warm and your worries are drifting away in the breeze.

VelG

Very cozy and comforting fragrance for autumn, winter and even cold, rainy spring days. It's definitely classy, smooth, milky and unique. Smells clean and put-together. Some people deem it sexy and I definitely see what they mean! Great longevity and projection without overspraying. The bottle looks really elegant, cool and modern as well. Needless to say, I love this one!

Elenar10

Wonderful winter fragrance, comforting and well blended, stylish and expensive smelling. A great woody- gourmand. Have been wearing this on repeat. 9/10.

siucra

Now this is a unique fragrance. First smell of the tester shocked me with the masculine vibe it had, but was replaced by the lactonic, vanilla, chestnut notes moments later, thankfully! The notes had me very excited, seemed right up my alley so I was hoping that would be the case and it was.
Based on the reviews, I wouldn’t say this is so much a safe blind buy…. with some skin chemistries giving vomit vibes?! spoiled milk?! damn.
For me, I’m surprised there hasn’t been much mention of fresh laundry. It’s a very clean scent on me, classy for sure. As it fades, that whipped cream/lactonic sweetness is coming through, though definitely not at the forefront. A woody floral seems to be what stands out here, but that being said, the allure of this fragrance over all is just nuts. No pun intended there considering there’s actually chestnut notes in here. Honestly, if someone asked me what the notes are prior to knowing, my guesses would’ve been pretty far off. It’s an interesting blend, very unique indeed and honestly just worth a try if you’re into the vibes of Narcisso Rodrigues and honestly, it oddly reminded me of Burberry Her too.
Silage is surprisingly neat too, two sprays have been lasting me the entire day.
Just try it ;)

aflakes

Compliment getter for sure! The projection, sillage and longevity is amazing. You just need 2-3 sprays and you're good. Although it's potent, there is a softness about it that I love. It's very creamy, milky, sweet and the chestnut is perfection!

cr7stal1zed

When I first got it I wore it every single day for like a week then it smelled beautiful I got compliments all the time. After that week I sprayed it and it smelled like actuall puke. Well it also made me want to puke. I wore it that day to see if it would stop thru out the day but it did not stop. Even tho it smells like vomit i still see the resemblence off the perfume that smells good, but I just can't stand it. No one have said anything that they think it smells bad and the compliments have been normal but I just can't handle it.

sevde.kasa

How does it make you feel when you look at the bottle? That's how this perfume smells 🐣 Pure and innocent, cheerful and lively and of course milky 🤗 The perfume bottle and the liquid inside are in great harmony✨ I think the woody notes in it never made the perfume woody. It only balanced some sweet notes that would cause it to be overly sweet. Despite this, it has a sweet structure. Sweet and creamy... I think this scent smells like a baby smells. It is never a feminine, attractive, self-confident fragrance. If you're looking for such a scent, you're at the wrong stop 🙈 It's not just winter scent to me. I can easily use it for 4 seasons. Even if it doesn't project enormously, it does last. Of course, I have perfumes that does project&last much better than this👌🏻 But still a good one. Zara's "Fields at Nightfall" perfume is very similar to this, however its opening is quite lemony and unfortunately it never lasts. But still, in terms of price-performance, it can be a good alternative.

ellawells

this is my signature scent for the colder months. it's simultaneously sexy, clean, creamy, and inviting all at the same time. i initially pick up on the pink pepper, then find the chestnut and sandalwood as it dries down. i have never received more compliments from any other fragrance. guys go crazy for this, i've been told i smell "addictive" and "intoxicating." this was a blind buy for me and i am so happy it worked out with my body chemistry, but i urge you to try before you buy as it isn't for everyone!

lauralizabeth

This is vile - my god. It’s so bitter & I absolutely get the vomit note. Crazy.

elydrk

tried it at Sephora, I literally cannot smell it at all, very weird

fantasticoo

I bought this perfume without testing it because I love Vanilla and Whipped Cream and all perfumes with these ingredients are on my radar. After reading the negative reviews on Fragrantica, I was worried but decided to give it a try. And wow, I fell in love with it from the first sniff! It's cozy, creamy and has a delicious sandalwood and vanilla scent. Some people think it's more suitable for men, but I think it's unisex. I understand that everyone has their own taste, so I respect those who don't like it

oenomel

Lactonic sweetness that is not cloying (thanks to a hint of chestnut). Smells like a dessert. Soft, lingering scent on your skin. I'm not a fun of lactonic scents but this is beautiful. Would wear on cozy Sunday mornings in bed reading books.

vivaLVmarie

It’s snowing today in Utah and today it came in the mail! It’s so pretty! I blind bought it for the lactonic part but WOW, the chestnut note is stunning. I feel like it will only work in a really cold weather. Wonderful for fall, perfect for winter! It’s so smoky too in my skin but so creamy and sultry. I think it’s my fave blind buy! I’m loving this snowy weather because of this perfume even tho its already spring time! ♥️♥️♥️

Don’t wear it in summer, you will probably choke haha!

LinnieR

This scent confuses me a bit. At first I really liked it, even tho im usually not a fan of very sweet perfumes. I thought it was a silky, warm and modern gourmand perfect for colder days. I still feel like this on some days, but I can only spray one spray and walk through it or else it will be overpowering. I think this has to do with the sweetness since I usually LOVE heavy perfumes. I was also never a fan of the sharp, peppery opening, it stings my nose and is weird for an otherwise creamy scent

EDIT: I figured it out. One spray on the clothes and that’s it. It’s lovely when it’s not over sprayed. It also smells divine layered with a pure patchouli scent, adds some needed “dirtiness”

savisuazo

I am so in love. I've been searching for my signature scent for so long and had technically already found it in Maison Matine "Avant L'orage", however found it so overpriced for the bottle size and would have to pay even more for shipping and conversion because it is seemingly only sold in Europe and I'm from Canada. I was searching for scents that had similar notes, and this was fully a blind buy. I felt confident about it though, seeing as though there were so many note similarities between the two.

I just received This Is Her today, and it's perfect. I've seen all the reviews saying that it goes too sandalwood-heavy, or smells too masculine, or even smells like vomit. Luckily, none of those notes come through on my skin, and I went into it assuming so, since "Avant L'orage" worked so nicely with my skin.

The best way I can describe this scent is like a creamy, nutty, very slightly spicy cloud. Like being snuggled in a warm blanket while drinking a vanilla steamer, but also with a mysterious edge to it. It's sexy, but not overly mature. It's elegant, but not floral or stuffy. It's strong, but not overpowering or cloying. It's like wearing a dream, and I can't get enough.

JolieSucre

I think the reviews for this perfume are right, both the positive and the negative ones - the scent is nice but the sandalwood develops really badly on some people (the 'vomit' comments - I totally agree).

I've come to like the opening note, the sweet sandalwood, even if I strongly disliked it when I first tried this perfume. I also like the milky note, it's comforting and creamy, and blends very well with the cashmere. Heck I love this combination so much that I purchased This is Her Undressed, because it's sweet as in honey and cashmere sweet after just a few seconds of sandalwood.

Because goodness. If you're like me (and the other persons who dislike this, I suppose) there will be nothing worse than the sandalwood note in this perfume going absolutely rancid on your skin. It went sour on me, to the point that it got pungent like ammonia mixed with BO. I guess it's a matter of this combination (sandalwood + lactonic note) not working either on some people's skin, or just for some noses - some persons find it deeply unpleasant.

I remember the first time I felt this after a few hours, in a closed space, on someone else - it was the lady before me at the beauty parlor, she was leaving the small room of the cosmetician and I was motioned to come in. As soon as I opened the door (warm air, windows closed as it was winter) the miasma hit me in the face in an incredibly horrific way, it felt like ammonia, urin, something very acidic & rotten sandalwood. Like someone's BO had exploded in there after a few hours at a windowless, AC-less gym. Not a good experience.

However as I said, the sandalwood can be really pleasant, creamy and demure in the other versions. I have Undressed and am very happy with it, it's a beautiful, feminine and cozy scent. Not the original unfortunately.
So if I could be converted I guess it isn't a question of liking or 'hating' the scent, just of literal skin and nose chemistry.

PS: This has got nothing to do with Cloud, I can't smell any ambroxan, nothing of the sort. This one is sweet like Cloud, but it's overly lactonic whereas Cloud is burnt sugar-y like.

santiniansia

There was a time when it seemed like this was sold in every pharmacy in the country, and I could smell this almost everywhere, usually on women of a certain age. That put me off of buying it.

Nearly a decade later and it looks like only one website in the country sells it, and it has maybe gone out of fashion. So that's when I decided to buy it. It's still as good as the day I first smelled it.

I've been able to sample a very wide range of fragrances from high to low end, and nothing really smells like it. I can see that it's very similar to a Zara perfume, but unfortunately, we don't have that in this country. So I had to settle for this.

How should I describe the smell? It's like Ariana Grande Cloud, but mixed with jasmine and deepened with incense, so it doesn't smell like straight up food. It's definitely different. It's going to be part of my regular rotation!

Majosm

Loved it at first. My husband and sister kept telling me it smelled like vomit and now that’s all I can smell lol. It’s unique - that’s for sure. I still don’t do well with it and I do understand why some people might find this nauseating. Not a safe blind, and most certainly not for everyone.

Tony Shades

Very sexy and unique mature creamy woody white floral (yes, the floral accord is missing from the description). Despite the vanilla note, it's not as sweet as it seems. This is not a sweet girly playful fragrance, but a serious womanly one. Sampling before buying is mandatory.

CozyScents

Tried this at the store on a perfume test strip and loved it so I ordered a full bottle early Winter 2022. After trying it on my skin for the first time I realised it was too lactonic on me. It smells almost like jasmine infused milk, and not in a sweet vanilla milky way (I should mention I am not a big fan of strong jasmine as it tends to give me a headache). I really wanted to love it but it just wasn't working so I put the bottle away in its box... Anyway I tried it again today and it smells better on my skin than what I remembered. It's still laconic but it smells cozier and more blended. I don't know if the juice has changed or my nose, but I'll keep testing before I decide to sell or not :)

Right now the scent is a 6.5-7/10 for me. The projection is great and the longevity is insane! I can still smell it on me after I shower.

ava96

One of the few clean scents I like. When I first smelled it, I thought that I'd really want to buy a bottle but I don't think so anymore. It's fresh and has a "get-things-done" kind of vibe. I'd say it's best for spring and summer, I don't think I'd enjoy it in winter, it's too light.
Longevity is good, lasted a good 5-6 hours on me before I had to respray.

mrmei

seeing the way people talk about this i would like to point out that this scent is quite unique and people seem to perceive it in different ways. so dont go thinking its a safe blind buy even though people rave about it. to me its very (too) lactonic and cold. i get pretty much all the notes but overall i think it just smells like a couple days old refridgerated birthday cake which is a bit too odd for my taste

smellslikecoffee

Very clean and homely. I really like the peppery start. The drydown is nice, but remains superficial on my skin. It doesn't really blend. Like wearing the perfume like a piece of clothing. Very nice, cozy but also superficial at the same time.

theperfumequeentiktok

First thing that needs to be said….. UNDERRATED!! I love the warm coziness of this fragrance. It reminds me of being in a log cabin in the woods with a log burner/fire on whilst drinking hot milk or hot chocolate. It has great longevity on & I am always complimented when wearing this one too. It’s a thumbs up from me.

Cali0610

Beautiful feminine clean scent. Initially after spraying this on the skin, you receive a soft peppery kick. As it settles down, you start to smell the jasmine and the whipped cream especially. The middle and bottom notes of this perfume are flawless, and offer an inviting scent. When I first smelled this perfume, I was quickly reminded of how your hair smells after the hair salon. The smell of expensive hair creams and clean shampoos. This scent is very clean and put together. To me it’s very calming and and everytime I wear it I get little wiffs that reassure me that the scent lasts a long enough time. When you apply it onto your clothes, I find that it lasts even days later. Before I bought this scent, I bought the lotion which was on sale. I loved the scent so much and it was strong for a body lotion. If you pair the two together, you’re guaranteed to smell good a long time. I don’t think you need to spray more than 3-4 spritz as it is pretty strong and can be intimidating to those sensitive to smells. Would recommend this for teenagers and older. This scent is so feminine and soft, if you’re debating whether to get it or not this is your sign!

notnamai

this perfume took a few tries for me to love it, but now..
the notes? phenomenal. that whipped cream note is so beautifully used in it and that musk is heavenly and silky.
this perfume feels clean and effortlessly beautiful, like wearing silk pajamas to bed after a nice shower.
it feels very “it girl”, which is a bit intimidating to me but in a very good way.
I barely smell the vanilla, kinda wish there was more of it.
it stays wonderfully and projects beautifully.
I would recommend trying this on your skin tho.
fair warning: do not overspray this one as it can be a bit headache inducing.
but still - a hypnotizing smell, truly.

ridleyc

I blind bought this a couple of years ago and it quickly became my signature scent! I’ve had many people ask me what this fragrance is, and a couple who went on to buy it. (I actually ended up getting a free bottle because they said it didn’t smell as good on their skin! Winner!). And surely the ultimate compliment - someone I worked with actually asked me to write the fragrance down for them so they could buy it for their girlfriend…

It’s smooth, warm, creamy, sexy and perfectly balanced out with a soft woodyness. Lasts all day, an absolute dream and the perfume I always end up reaching for. I wear it all year round!

Gothicandgourmand

Oh my goodness, how has it taken me so long to discover this one?
A beautiful warm, vanilla, milky, musk.
If you can imagine that Messy, Sexy, Just Rolled Out Of Bed by A Lab on Fire had a baby with Commodity Milk Expressive then this would be the result.
If you like either of the above mentioned scents then this is a safe buy for you.
Truly gorgeous!

loliirain

I blind bought this after reading all of the rave reviews. Was looking for an everyday scent that was both cozy and a little sexy. Was unsure if it would work on me since I’m not normally a fan of gourmands or sandalwood. But this, this beauty far exceeded my expectations. It’s creamy, milky, a little nutty, sweet but not too sweet, exactly what I was looking for. I don’t have anything like it in my collection. And, I haven’t come across any other perfume that smells like it either. Longevity and sillage is amazing, 2 maybe 3 sprays is all you need. By far my favorite purchase of ‘22.

deeya

I blind bought it based on recommendations and I did not regret it! This comforting, sweet milky miracle became quickly one of my favourite fragrances!

I am so confused by the reviews. All I get is pepper from first spray to deep drydown. I was expecting a creamy, lactonic sandalwood fragrance—boy was I disappointed. This is my worst blind buy by a mile.

Fragrance that triggers emotions and childhood reminiscences: the inviting scent of artisan ice cream parlors, like all fragrances with delicate lactonic notes, have a warm, reassuring and maternal effect. This is Her by Zadig & Voltaire wants to represent the woman and her thousand facets; femininity, resourcefulness, its thousand contradictions, vivacity, energy, strength and motherhood. Feminine fragrance that deserves to be discovered.

This is a really interesting frag to me! When I first sprayed it I could barely smell any of the top notes, sadly thought it was a total fail, but half an hour later I noticed it wafting up my arm beautifully and an hour after that it’s radiating incredibly. One spray and I can strongly smell it from an arms length away. My skin seems to amplify woody frags and - although I’ve skipped the top notes entirely - my chemistry works well with the heart of this. It’s addicting, cosy, clean and just smells like what I imagine a ‘cool girl’ smells like, I can’t stop sniffing it! My decant will be getting well used, and full bottle added to my wish list 💕
