If anybody from booking.com reads this…

If anybody from booking.com reads this then please when you charge a customer on their credit card, put some ref or name of the hotel the payment being charged is actually for. Or even the date of the stay, just something to give me a clue to something I have booked months in advance for.

They're becoming more deceitful every…

They're becoming more deceitful every day. They advertise certain discounts, which appear to be the cheapest option compared to the hotel's own website. However, when you try to book these supposedly discounted rooms as per their advertisement, you can't. Suddenly, you notice the prices go up even more than on the hotel's website. I'm done with Booking.com. Every hotel has its own website for booking, and it's cheaper than Booking.com.

Your customer support is atrocious

Your customer support is atrocious. I shouldn't expect to have to call and speak to such rude staff. I wont be booking again. There are other platforms.

Don't take the risk with booking here.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service.
Our accommodation was cancelled by the hotel close to the date, and booking.com advised if we find an alternative, they will issue a refund of €25 . This hasn't happened and the proof of payment I provide (which clearly shows the accomodation and amount paid) "can't be accepted".
Same template response every time.

The site is good until something goes wrong, and this is the 2nd time something has happened and the 2nd time CS has failed to handle it.

Best to use the site as a search engine and book with hotels direct.

Absolutely atrocious service

Absolutely atrocious service. Was advised less than 24 hrs before check in thet our room was double booked and we had no where to stay. Booking.com were absolutely useless didn’t help at all, cut us off when asked to speak to a manager twice. Sent out a check in notification after the booking had been cancelled as of we were still booked in. I am still waiting for money back which apparently takes between 6-12 days!! Just the most uncaring appalling service I have ever had

Never got an invoice

In December I booked a hotel in Amsterdam and asked for the invoice right away, following their instructions. Five months laters, after several calls and emails, they still haven't be able to send me an invoice, stating that I have to wait and that all they can do it to urge on the matter "some other office or the intermediary". A shame.

As a host my advice is don't use BDC

As a host, I find booking.com extremely frustrating. Unlike airBnB, BDC support contact details are difficult to find, you can't raise a query without a reservation number so if it is a pre-booking problem you can't answer any questions. You can't contact you guests until they have booked, this makes answering questions IMPOSSIBLE.



It took me over two hours of being passed from one dpt to another, eventualy their support could not hear me, apparently, so they hung up. They didnt call back.

If you dont need to use Booking.com steer well clear as you will be pulling your hair out with frustration.

USE airBnB instead is my advice!

Have tried multiple times through the…

Have tried multiple times through the app, email and phone to discuss an issue with customer services. It’s clear that they don’t read and probably using a bot to respond. As soon as there is an issue it seems to make it impossible to speak to someone to resolve. Worst customer service ever experienced.

Absolutely avoid. Refusing to refund when I've done nothing wrong, so am escalating the case to court.

Just go to Kayak, Airbnb etc

Regular user, but now will be boycotting with my family forever.

Bookings keep failing

I have tried to book 4 different accomodations for the same period - but all the hosts on here seem to ask you to express an interest and you have to wait for the host to get back to you. If they dont do that within 24 hours then the request is automatically cancelled. No communication from anyone about any of the booking attempts and all have automatically cancelled. Not sure why anyone would even look at this site at all if this is common place.

I initially bought a round trip under the same reservation number, for a total of €891. The airline changed both flights and the return ticket did not suit my schedule. Booking and Gotogate offered an alternative for both flights (same airline) I accepted them and HERE BOOKING MADE THE MISTAKE OF SPLITTING THOSE OPTIONS UNDER DIFFERENT CONFIRMATION NUMBERS. Nevertheless, after 4 months of waiting the return flight was never confirmed. After dozens of emails and calls they offered a full refund and I accepted. They now will only refund me for one leg claiming that I have 2 reservation numbers, WHEN THIS WAS THEIR MISTAKE! In my view, this is stealing.

Booked through these so called agents…

Booked through these so called agents and found the property we booked contained lie after lie.
Booking com didn't want to know but quick enough to take my money. Every time we email them it comes back as delivery failed host address nor known even though we are replying to a sent message from them.
The property we booked broke nearly every health and safety regulation and they still not interested in assisting us .
This matter will definately end up with legal proceedings.
The owners of the property are not even replying back to us.
Disgraceful service by Booking com.
This was a booking in the UK .

Booking.com will cancel your villa just like that poof and you have no villa.
Any they think a full refund is enough compensation even though I have no villas but flights and transfers already booked.
Seems to easy for them to just cancel it and wave bye bye with no regard to what there customer is going to do regarding accomondation.

Booking.com had an argument with The…

Booking.com had an argument with The Washington Lux Hotel in New York so cancelled everyone's booking no matter how close to the booking. As payments were taken in advance, refunds are needed especially to secure another hotel.

However Booking.com have put hurdle over ridiculous hurdle in place so you cannot get a refund! I have heard various stories and lies made up by staff. I was told to send proof of payment and even when a statement and screen shots of transactions were provided they claim it can't be read. Not sure they even looked at it because their customer service managing telephones can.

Customer services make up various stories and and if you would like to speak to a supervisor they will hang up on you

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!

I'm a property manager and decided to put one of my clients property on Booking.com. My experience couldn't have been worse, I have had multiple reservations that they have yet to pay me for. One of them was even canceled the day AFTER they checked out. The worst part is that I have been calling customer service for the past 2 weeks and they have to preform a "security call back" and out of 20+ representatives I have talked to none of them have been able to call me back. I have registered 5 different phone numbers under my account and still no call back. It is an absolute disgrace and I don't even wish it to my worse enemy

Wish I’d seen all these bad reviews sooner!

Made a reservation via booking.com (100% refundable up until 24 hours before check in). I cancelled the booking a week before the stay as checked the hotel’s website and it was cheaper to book direct. Received confirmation of my cancellation with a note that no fee was chargeable.

Cut to a week after the hotel stay and Booking.com charge me £70! They have agreed to refund it but it took 3 days of painfully slow responses to get it sorted and it won’t be returned for another 7+ days. And still no explanation as to why this happened. Will not use them again and will warn people off them.

Wish I’d seen all these bad reviews sooner!

Awful company

It’s all good until you have any problems with any of the booked places. They don’t care about the customer experience as the customer service is awful. We booked a house and when we arrived it looked awful, it was nothing like the photos and it was filthy, disgusting and unsanitary.
When we contacted booking.com for any help with this situation, they just started ignoring our messages altogether.
Will never use this website again.

My credit card was compromised!

Stay away from this site! I made a booking to a hotel in a small country in the Balcans. I used my credit card to make the reservation and at the next day I got informed by my bank that someone from this specific country tried to make an online purchase using my credit card number! I learned afterwards that booking.com gives our credit card numbers to the hotel owners to charge us directly, which is insanely stupid. Fortunately the purchase was blocked by my bank. Stay away from booking.com!

I feel robbed!

Booked the @dorsettsingapore hotel through them and it was terrible. It was not as advertised. Booking.com do not take any responsibility whatsoever for the properties they advertise, they just take the commission! The hotel was far below standard with mould on the walls and very very dated.
Customer service do not reply to emails even though I have gone through their dispute service

Terrible customer service.

Terrible customer service.
We had no choice but to leave and find an alternative.
The standard of the accommodation when we arrived didn’t meet the advert, it was mouldy, damp and smelt. Some of the facilities were out of use, and others too dirty to contemplate using.
Bookng.Com immediately distanced themselves, and have not responded to my request for a SAR form, they say they don’t hold details other than a telephone number/email for the owner. The ‘owner’ is denying he is the owner. There doesn’t seem to be any minimum standard of accommodation, so in theory I could advert photos of my house and give you the keys to my garage. I would proceed with caution, we will not use this company again.
