Celebrate Tuba's birthday with changing a child's life forever.

Around the world today, millions of children are under the threat of fatal starvation due to wars and disasters. Every 15 seconds a child dies because of malnourishment. Around 15,000 children die every day from preventable causes. One in four children lives in areas affected by wars or disasters. It is the right of every child to grow up healthy, have a childhood, and have equal opportunities with their peers!

Why UNICEF?

UNICEF works for the rights of all children around the world, especially for the most vulnerable and marginalized children. As the largest humanitarian organization working for children's rights, we work with families, communities and governments in over 190 countries to address the root causes of issues that directly affect children.

In different parts of the world, as violent conflicts or natural disasters raise humanitarian needs to critical levels, children are the most vulnerable group. When the effects of wars and drought combine, hunger crises cannot end. Unfortunately, millions of children in many countries are in the grip of starvation. When hygienic conditions deteriorate and clean water is not accessible, infectious diseases threaten the health of children. When access to clean water, health and nutrition become vital priorities, protection of children, access to education and living their childhood are left more in the background. . In addition to ongoing development programs in more than 190 countries, together with its humanitarian partners, UNICEF responds to more than 300 emergencies each year.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic is a health crisis that has turned into a children's rights crisis.

The impact of a large-scale outbreak on children, especially poor and vulnerable children, has been immense. Coronavirus threatens children already weakened by war, disease, hunger and poverty, whose very survival depends on health care, life-saving food, clean water and medical supplies. 6000 children could die every day in the next six months as coronavirus weakens national health systems and disrupts vital services.

UNICEF has been working closely with governments and the World Health Organization (WHO) since the start of the coronavirus outbreak. Your donations will help to limit the spread of the virus, protect keyworkers, and reduce the impact on some of the world’s most vulnerable children and families.

Whatever the circumstances in which they were born, a child is a child. Every child has the right to protection, health and education. They have the right to have fun, to discover, to know life. Every child should live their childhood… Every child should have every right…
