TESSA THE REAPER RETURNS — After a massive attack on the angels, Castiel (Misha Collins) calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help. As they leave, Dean’s eagerness to bring the First Blade doesn’t go unnoticed by Sam who is worried about the cost to his brother whenever he uses the Blade. Meanwhile, Castiel is shocked when he learns the angel that caused the attack was one of his followers and did it in his name. Dean discovers there is a conspiracy amongst Castiel’s angel followers and at the heart of it is Tessa, the Reaper.
Guy Bee directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb.

Това развитие ми доставя истинско удоволствие, още повече, че го приемам като компенсация за изпуснатата възможност да видим повече от Дийн-след-Чистилището. Историята имаше страхотен потенциал, а сценаристите направиха нищо и 1/2 с нея .

Supernatural Chat: Will Castiel Be Back in Season 10?

Hey there, Supernatural fans! I don’t think I’ll ever stop being surprised by how many rumors get started about our favorite show. Sometimes I hear about them as soon as they pop up and sometimes they fly right under my radar until they’ve been percolating a while and I discover them purely by accident.

This rumor is one of those cases. Up until a couple days ago, I had no idea that there was even a remote possibility that our little nerdy angel might not be back in Season 10. But it appears that some people are worried whether or not Castiel will return next season. I first got wind of this on the Supernatural: Season 7 To Infinity & Beyond Facebook page, but the original post I saw seems to have been deleted. So I decided to do some research of my own and found out a little bit more about the story.

Castiel May Not be Back for Supernatural Season 10?

I tried my best to trace this one back and, near as I can tell, the rumor about Castiel not coming back in Supernatural Season 10 began after an interview Misha Collins did with Zap2it. Here’s what he had to say about the possibility of Castiel’s return in Season 10:

“I know that the writers are still hashing out the end of this season and where they want to take the story line for next season,” Collins said. “But I can tell you that I would very much like to be a part of Season 10, but I haven’t been approached by production about Season 10. So I don’t know where things are going for me yet. We shall see.”

While I understand that this statement can be a little scary, I’m not at all ready to jump on the bandwagon and say that it definitely means that Castiel won’t be back.

Castiel in Supernatural Season 10: Why it Should Happen

Production on a TV show is a complicated, time-consuming business and just because an actor hasn’t been tapped for the next season, doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Storylines need to be worked out by the writers, contracts need to be drawn up and negotiations done to make sure that everyone is happy with the outcome. It’s quite possible that Collins and his agent will get a call any day now asking him to return. Or it’s quite possible that the writers will take some time off before jumping completely into the Season 10 storyline and Collins won’t hear about Castiel’s return until sometime this summer.

The good news is that there is no absolute news on this either way, so at this point it’s all speculation. But rather than think pessimistically, I choose to think positively and firmly believe in my heart that we will see Castiel next season. Sure, this is mostly due to the fact that my brain starts to shut down when I even consider the idea that he won’t be back. Either way, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
