Monika Dhamo-  I like her, I looove him , but there's really smth that doesn't totally "click" for them as a couple. But their similar smiles and the obvious happiness to be together make me feel like one of those grouchy old ladies that always know everything and just spit it out lol smile emoticon Happy for them!

, I think I am more like disappointed with his personality and for his choice, and I don't mean because of her, but it's like he likes young girls where he will be leading the show because he is the man..something like that

 He is the man and wants to control the relationship... And be the who is in charge.


It seems like that Vivian. And that is smth we don't really like when seen from outside, because we instinctively think of those mismatched relationships where if the man wants to be in control, it makes woman's life a hell. But....the real reason is the fact that the relationships we think about are actually between two people that shouldn't have been together in the first place and also the man himself is not one that posesses qualities that would make life better for both of them.
If the man is to die for as we say, meaning he has a lot of positive values, is a decent and loving person and has a good heart, in this case, I believe many women would feel happy to be by his side, even though he wants to and maybe he is in fact leading the relationship. In Kenan's case, we don't really know who he is as a person in real life, but I would only hope he is like the second type of man I described, because I wouldn't be surprised if he is to some extent a controlling person, the "Man" in a relationship. Nothing else fits his physical appearance more.

 I agree with you Monika on that, and also there are women who like men like that it depend on the woman's personality, they think it's cute and the man is taking care of her , that way the woman is either going to grow up one day and realize that's not what she wants and do something about it, or on the other case she will sit and accept it and be happy about it and not know any better


Mariela, is that so bad if they are both happy, he because he controls the relationship, she because she likes being controlled? I would not be surprised, there is also that kind of woman, not everybody wants to be a feminist - it depends also on what an environment you grew up in.


Of course is not bad Caterina, agree with you, each relationship has it's own rules, and if they are suitable for each other there won't be any trouble at all.
But if we talk about control and violence of course it's another issue here.

 I would personally never be able to be the controlled woman in a relationship, I become a very angry cat at the first sign of control around me. But yes, as Caterina said "if they are both happy" it is not a bad thing and people are in fact, very different. Of course, if real love is present in a relationship, there is no meaning to the word "control" as taking decisions becomes a lovely and smooth process, but when it comes to real love, I personally go farther in my analysis of the term. I always add the idea that real love is a privilege of pure and beautiful souls, people that are able to do most things putting their heart in it, so everything goes back to who is with who, nothing else matters, in that case, control, leadership, independence etc go out of the window in my opinion


And I must add to my comment, that control and love are a two things that are not a good combination. If we agree on defining "control" as the lack of liberty to do what a person needs to do without asking for permition or approval from the other one of the couple. Of course we need to negotiate and resign things when we are in a relationship but personal activities, desires, proyects are very important as well. A good balance..


 I don't think Kenan is this type of man,  despite his conservative education, he's an open minded person. I think these two met each other at the right time... and since Sinem was maybe a bit affected by the media pressure because of her previous relationship, Kenan first got interested to her as a big brother and then it evolved to something deeper. Maybe her fragility moved him... and we all know that this guy has definitely something from Mahir Kara. To be honest, I don't think this girl is as fragile and "controllable" as she seems.. so maybe he liked her just the way she is! As he said in his interview (and even in the last one), he learnt how to love thanks to Mahir Kara. This character deeply affected his way of thinking and behaving in this field. Mahir is over-serious, protective and stubborn, but he's also very respectful and a deep romantic in private. Maybe that's why Kenan seems to us way more serious in this new relationship. He's enjoying every single moment of their love story. He's protective with her because she had trouble and he's also respecting her choices and encouraging her in her career (We all know he is the one behind her new role in that dizi). He's also taking her with him everywhere and making her meet a lot of important people from their profession. He clearly cares about her and wants her to emancipate and do what she likes (it seems to be acting). As I see the things right now... with my own interpretation of the facts I mean, well, he looks to me like the perfect supportive boyfriend, not the kind who want his girl all for him in order to control her. Last point, did you girls ever realize that probably most of the girls in their 30ies and 40ies are already engaged or married?! As if the poor Kenan really had choice..


 I don't understand why almost everybody here is talking as if they know Kenan or Sinem personally. Have any of you been behind closed doors with them to judge them? How can you know he is a controlling guy and she is a fragile girl? I really admire and respect Kenan as an actor, and I think he is a nice, good hearted person. If she makes him happy, then so be it. Love is so much more than physical appearance. Berguzar and Halit are a great example of that.


 I am with you as far as Kenan and Sinem are considered, but you forget that Halit is considered by thousands of women worldwide a very seductive and sexy man. At the same time Berguzar has said that never in her life has she felt as free as since she has been married to him. It seems Halit believes in the trust that two partners have in each other and in standing by each other. Also they both have said that they always discuss everything with each other and decide always in common. Isn't that the kind of relationship that you would approve of Mariela?
